- 4:57[SPEAKER_04]: Beautiful Tuesday in what's turning out to be a gorgeous month of August.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_04]: Just a great month for everything.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_04]: Hope you're enjoying it.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_04]: Hope you're enjoying it.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_04]: It'll be starting to get cooler soon.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_04]: Some of the forecasts are trending down a little bit, but still lots of nice weather remaining.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_04]: And enjoy it.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_05]: Um, good day to go to wherever you want to go today.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, let's see, um... Channel 7's lead was the airport switcherrew over an anchor at Turkey.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, that, I watched that story, it was 8 o'clock last night.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_04]: So, um, far something new, I don't know.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_04]: I like new, I like my news to be new.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, we got a, uh, there's some kind of circus coming up in a few days over the arena.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_04]: um... Friday the 21st and Saturday the 22nd it's not wringling brothers anymore something called a carton international anyway i'm sure there's information online if you want more information on it that type of thing right over to you we'd like people to come into town and go to events uh... let's see uh... what's going on today course it was the big uh...
- 6:21[SPEAKER_04]: Statement yesterday from the mayor and police chief, I don't.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_04]: I can't imagine that wasn't written and approved by the manager, I mean, the mayor wouldn't be allowed to do that, neither would the chief on their own.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_04]: But whoever wrote it said, if you like your doors, watch out for things, do all things
- 6:51[SPEAKER_04]: public education campaign, yeah, so I don't think there was anything profound in it, but it didn't stop a 31 year old East Main Street man, who I decided he was going to choke his, I assume his girlfriend, she's 32, yep, applied pressure, making it difficult to breathe, okay.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_04]: didn't stop a 30-year-old Michigan Avenue man from fleeing police in a motor vehicle.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, pile of a whole bunch of traffic violations there.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he was, he had his 2016 Nissan Rogue in speed up to 100 miles an hour.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_04]: Wow, yeah, that's a lot, I mean, that's too fast for in the city.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_04]: One person steps off a curb, there's no, there's no saving him.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I don't think it's worth it.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_04]: Well, let's see.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_04]: Well, the press release didn't stop a 20-year-old from dragging a 17-year-old girl out of a residence by her hair.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_04]: it was a guy who didn't provide adequate guardianship to a child there was a story something on the scanner this morning about a new child over at the court street parking deck don't know if it's true or not there was an accident over on water street involving a motorcycle and lots of things going yeah maybe a
- 8:45[SPEAKER_04]: guy dragging the hurl girl by her hair thought he was a caveman, a troddle of the divers.
- 8:50[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_04]: Exactly.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, National Grid.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_04]: They shut off more.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_04]: People in the past few months, then in 10 years.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_04]: Now you say, well, that's good.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_04]: Do you think they're shutting them off?
- 9:05[SPEAKER_04]: Because ladies like to shut them off?
- 9:09[SPEAKER_04]: You don't think any of it could be due to the energy policy in New York.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_04]: No fracking, no nukes.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_04]: Solar panels all over that don't work too well.
- 9:20[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_04]: All sorts of taxes, 11% sales tax on commercial accounts, all sorts of things.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_04]: You don't think people being unable to pay as anything to do with all that, do you?
- 9:36[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_04]: And you're going to get a $100
- 9:44[SPEAKER_04]: The governor, and she's gonna, I suppose to help you out with that.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_09]: Mm-hmm.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_04]: Good God.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_04]: Whatever.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_04]: Well, 755, 1240's the phone number.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_04]: You know, mm-hmm.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_04]: I want to bring this stuff up, but I will cause a lot of people have been giggling over it.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_04]: Sometime in the last,
- 10:16[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think so, I don't think so, I don't think so.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_04]: I read the paper this morning, there was a big ad in the legal section, federal energy regulatory commission.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_04]: I had to do with some power plants in Central New York, but apparently you have to post notice in a bunch of papers.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's why this thing's going to be so expensive for the city, very expensive.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_04]: keep that going.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_04]: Well anyway, you know, I got those two red balls out for some people don't like them.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_04]: There's been some little back in the community.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_04]: I noticed one of them was a jar this morning.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, it had been someone tried to roll it off its pedestal.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you could see it.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_04]: And we're going to get that fixed and secure it better, but any one will look through the tape to see who did it.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_04]: And there's somebody out there in the audience giggling now.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_04]: But, what is it about people that just want to destroy things that are nice?
- 11:25[SPEAKER_07]: You know what I mean?
- 11:29[SPEAKER_04]: By the way, that whole thing in that Dave's chicken restaurant out in the town of Watertown, where they're given a hard time over their facade and signage,
- 11:40[SPEAKER_04]: I was talking to somebody, and you know these planning boards, they love to exercise power.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_04]: They got power over you, and they loved exercise.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_04]: I was talking to somebody who had experience with a project in Syracuse.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_04]: Nothing to do with water sounded, but years and years is years ago.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_04]: And it was something to do with a home de- you know what color smocks to the home depot people were, anybody know?
- 12:03[SPEAKER_04]: Orange, right?
- 12:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_04]: So anyway, of course, what color is this sign in the lettering?
- 12:10[SPEAKER_04]: Well, some planning board down in Central New York, couple people asked, well, can't you do something about, we don't like that orange color, can't you pick another color?
- 12:20[SPEAKER_04]: You see, that's a silly thing.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_04]: These things happen.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_04]: These things happen.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_04]: There's no reason that that Dave's chicken place.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_04]: Hot chicken or whatever it is.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_04]: And just move ahead.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, the sanctity of outer arsenal's street.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_04]: We must keep it pristine and pleasing to the eyes.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_04]: Says the town planning board.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_04]: Really?
- 12:45[SPEAKER_03]: What a joke.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm a child.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_04]: I've seen the same type of thing happen in town, so it's not.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_04]: Not strictly that.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_04]: So anyway, a big primary is today in several states.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_04]: South Carolina, we're darling Graham is running.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_04]: to succeed or brother or for a full term.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_04]: I've endorsed her.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_04]: I think we need to keep a gram in the Senate.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_04]: And also big elections in Wisconsin and Minnesota, a couple other places.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I like that.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_04]: Hauling woman running in Wisconsin.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_04]: Kind of amusing.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_04]: No, I saw that TV the other, oh, we got a call coming in.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_04]: Good afternoon, Ronier.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_07]: We are about to signage.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_07]: Good afternoon, sir.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_07]: I think it's terrible to get direct stops.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_07]: I think that looks terrible.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_07]: I like to build way.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_07]: And I wish they had those old roles.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_07]: And I've talked to a thousand different people.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_07]: And they also have the same thing.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_23]: Yeah.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_07]: I know where they used to come from, but.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_07]: Some bought them rolls, and I got 12 bucks to get something on the hot dog bar.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, but they didn't say, well, they got a big lot different, and I don't think it's about the sign, and so.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_04]: Well, they got $20 burrito in some states, so it's getting crazy.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I know.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_07]: I know it's usually when they get the value meal at McDonald's, unless you got one of them absent.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_07]: They're using the app today, I don't know if I knew that stuff on my phone around.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_07]: I got to use my phone to buy a freaking cheeseburger, what do you know what I mean to get the deal?
- 14:33[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, if it's on, what's the difference?
- 14:39[SPEAKER_07]: How much is this on sale today?
- 14:42[SPEAKER_07]: Sound we want.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_07]: Who are you going to use my phone to do that?
- 14:47[SPEAKER_04]: I gotcha.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_04]: I gotcha.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_04]: It's crazy.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_04]: All right, well thank you.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, bye now.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_07]: Bye.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_04]: Bye, Williams.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_04]: Topics out there, if you.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, just see where Marmondammy's wife, the hexard name, I'll look it up here, I'll just appear respectful, Marmondam, you know, well, it's not magic, I agree with Russ, it's Governor Mamdammy and Lieutenant Governor Hockel pretty much now, you know, I know, not nice and say, but it's true, it's true.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, let's see, where was that story?
- 15:32[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, Rama Duayji, that's the mayor's wife's name.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_04]: Remember, she shouldn't print and show it.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_04]: I'm in a 250th anniversary, big celebrations in the city of New York, as there should be, as there should be, that was the original capital of the country.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_04]: What was her name?
- 15:58[SPEAKER_04]: Bramma Dua, she couldn't.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_04]: She was over in Spain at a Muslim retreat.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_04]: Well, now she's headed off to the Middle East.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_04]: A couple of trouble spots.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_04]: The State Department says Americans should stay away, but she's going over to Lebanon and to Syria to visit with the other Gihadis.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_04]: go ahead and send the tape to tish, I don't care.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_04]: Um...
- 16:30[SPEAKER_04]: Probably, I bet you she'll stay right through 9-11.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_04]: As you know, she isn't gonna show up for 9-11 ceremonies.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_04]: I assume her husband will have to.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_04]: But that'll be interesting.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_04]: 25th anniversary of 9-11.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_04]: Remember 9-11?
- 16:47[SPEAKER_04]: Plains?
- 16:48[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_04]: Um...
- 16:54[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I don't know, it's a disgrace.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_04]: So there's probably going to be a lot of ceremonies and reflection.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_04]: Now, for a whole generation of people in school now, they weren't even alive, they don't know what 9-11.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_04]: It's like for a previous generation Pearl Harbor, they just don't know.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_04]: But I wouldn't be going hang it out in Lebanon on 9-11.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, we want to thank a couple of nice people who came into the bar of the other day on a Sunday afternoon, really bright in my day, and Bob and Lisa from Chandler, Arizona.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we're a girl, my Lord, and I know that was Wednesday.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_04]: But anyway, these fine Arizona's listen to the hotline.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_04]: Usually, they say on the replay on news junkie.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_04]: And they were talking about some of the characters like, you know, angry man and all that.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_04]: So they were clear listeners.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_04]: And we talked about a variety of things.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_04]: Local things here, but Bob and Lisa, Chandler Arizona.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_04]: And I think they're up here visiting some property they have in Redwood.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_04]: I thought they were great people.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_04]: Great people.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_04]: Now, did all read the mayor's statement, the mayor in the police chief statement?
- 18:30[SPEAKER_04]: You didn't have to depend on the mainstream media, it was on news junkie, you could look at it.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it was not executive session, but it's really, really.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, was it encouraging, was it comforting, was it, you tell me, you had it.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I don't know, I don't know, it's, um, if I wasn't something a little more personal than that, you know, in terms of, on camera, on mic or something, I thought it.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_04]: Just putting out a written statement.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know what to make of it.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_04]: What about the guy on Jefferson Street the other night?
- 19:21[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I did see, remember the stabbing victims in front of Midtown Towers?
- 19:25[SPEAKER_04]: Somebody was showing me video of that yesterday this morning.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I was pretty whacked out of it, I guess.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, well.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_04]: And then, well, the other one over on Jefferson Street,
- 19:45[SPEAKER_04]: That's a stone's throw from mechanic's street.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_04]: And that's the guy that was lying in the pavement.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_04]: At the intersection of high and mechanic, and he was bleeding in unresponsive.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_04]: So I listened to the whole thing on the scanner replay.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_04]: And you know, a lot of logistics going to that, you know, getting, booking the helicopter, getting a landing, landing site, don't secure up the town and blah, blah, blah.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, I, I hope the man's doing all right.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_05]: But I don't think there's a lot of interest in media, interest in somebody on Jefferson Street, trust me.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_04]: So we don't know, uh,
- 20:32[SPEAKER_04]: What happened?
- 20:33[SPEAKER_04]: Let's look at some of our text messages.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, somebody said, seems like they're saying nothing else can be done.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's usually what's said.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_04]: Somebody said, are you going to prosecute or remove the red ball?
- 20:53[SPEAKER_04]: Well, no, because we're looking into seeing who did it first.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_04]: Um, let's see.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, we got the video, huh?
- 21:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_04]: I got to figure out how to get it to, uh... Yeah, let's see.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_04]: dying black shorts when it red shorts one as a backward baseball at they made their effort but they couldn't lift it so we're gonna get this video and have to figure out how to send it to new strunkey i think we'll do that there
- 22:02[SPEAKER_04]: now hopefully it went if i didn't let me know but uh... hopefully we'll get that up there he said a tempted vandalism uh... you know they weren't able to do it but hmm somebody text in how much will my taxes increase next year over the time since part of us who well they'll bond for it first of all they do pay but you never know
- 22:36[SPEAKER_04]: Um...
- 22:41[SPEAKER_04]: Anyway, if news junk is able to get that up there...
- 22:44[SPEAKER_04]: If... um...
- 22:46[SPEAKER_04]: If you know who they are, let us know.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_04]: Looks like local locals.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_04]: So... Whatever.

- 31:07[SPEAKER_04]: Fair game.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, let's see.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_04]: What else we got going on here?
- 31:16[SPEAKER_04]: Things in the news.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_04]: I wonder why we're going to elect all the same people in Albany when the energy policy results in a record number of shut-offs by the local utility for non-payment.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_04]: Does that make sense?
- 31:40[SPEAKER_04]: I don't really think it does, but I guess we're going to.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_04]: Oh well.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_04]: 755-1240 is the phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows today and uh... talk about whatever you want hope there's a call but after noon you're on the air hey jack how you got right what's up i know this is a local local talk show and a lot of local people calling local issues and that's important you really is but i'll alicate name
- 32:15[SPEAKER_05]: two national issues that are just as important to us locally at the end of the issue two issues the voters say that and that the new vaccination policy recommended by Mr. Trump to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. they impact us locally the same act of courses for voters to prove their citizenship and all that was done we know what the issues are, Danny, but
- 32:45[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think anyone listening to this show calls in to talk about vaccines.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_05]: Well, that's here's the point, it's a healthy issue for children.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_05]: School age children.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_05]: They want to try and watch the Trump and Kennedy both when you do away with our divide from 18 down to 11 with the NMR Bezos-Monks and Rubella.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_04]: I know what they want to do.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_04]: I watch the news.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not capable of making your judgements.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_05]: I know you watch the news.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_05]: I know you were a farmer.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_05]: I'm saying this for the public to get interested in this and to raise hell about, do not pass the same back to the Senate, the Senate, the Senate does not pass it because it's harmful for too long.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_05]: How many reasons?
- 33:29[SPEAKER_05]: I just said.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_05]: The nation policy should not be touched by that lunatic Kennedy.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_04]: Your boy Fauci values.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_04]: You like your boy Fauci?
- 33:39[SPEAKER_05]: It is a three.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_05]: I had the same thing with the Polio vaccination, I had the one I was a child, and then more I had it when I was a child, and my kids had it when they were little, if it's been proven by all scientific and medical evidence worldwide to be effective and they want to reduce it.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_05]: That's a local issue.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_04]: Well, okay, I would urge people to seriously discuss vaccine matters with their doctors read up on it.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_04]: And as far as the other issue, the safe, safe act.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not in favor of the Senate passing it.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_04]: So there, that settled that is.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_04]: What are you thinking about locally?
- 34:21[SPEAKER_04]: Did you read the mayor's letter?
- 34:24[SPEAKER_05]: About cry.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_05]: I read it online.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_04]: What do you think of it?
- 34:35[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, she's not in charge of law enforcement, the city manager.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_05]: No, she's not, but she's kind of, she's coming over Sierra, excuse me, ours is kicking in the little bit.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_05]: She's kind of the overseer, from the city, has the overall manager of the city, so in that regards all of the administration under her, or around for us to say, under and around.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_04]: well i appreciate her opinion but i don't think the people who commit these crimes really care so they're criminals don't care about even if i get caught yeah so i don't know what we're going to do about all that i just want to i want to mention those two national issues i think it's a pretty coin-portage they're closed right down to all of you think do you think the senior police management should do some uh... some patrol time
- 35:35[SPEAKER_05]: I said, okay, okay, not that well, I think they probably do occasionally, or is it strictly strictly a desk job?
- 35:45[SPEAKER_05]: Well, yeah, this job, but I mean, they do need to write a round for me or to memorize itself with the city, maybe look at some things we're trying to take in place or we're trying to see if they're leaving the higher area or whatever.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_05]: I think they should get out, I'm pretty sure they do get out of the office now, and
- 36:05[SPEAKER_05]: I recommend it to good.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_04]: Do you think that are they notified when there's a serious crime like at midnight?
- 36:16[SPEAKER_05]: I think there's probably things in place to allow that to happen, yes.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_04]: Hmm.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know what goes out.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know what goes out really.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, we were experimenting with sort of a,
- 36:30[SPEAKER_04]: long-distance management strategy here, so it's, you know, I don't know how it works.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of people disagree with me on that.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_04]: Some people think.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_05]: Well, the public is very concerned about public safety, right in the soul, whether it's a type of crime attack, a soul robbery, attempted robbery, rape, murder, a break-in-antering, whatever.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_05]: There's a public interest in this.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_05]: And we don't, the public cannot solve it, but they leave it up to the police to do it, and hopefully they are doing it to the best of their abilities.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_23]: Mm-hmm.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_05]: I, Alan, hope so, at least.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_05]: Mm-hmm.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_05]: I'm pretty sure they do.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_04]: All right, well, thank you, Dan.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_04]: All right, bye now.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, don't.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_05]: Thanks, Jeff.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_04]: All righty seven five five twelve forty the phone number if he'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows today Yeah, I understand those issues.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_04]: I know they're you know I don't want to use the little bit of time we have here to talk about January six or any of that.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_04]: I understand it some people who have a problem with it But I don't think we're gonna move the ball on the issue of vaccination here And all of that so whatever
- 37:49[SPEAKER_04]: Ah, let's see.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_04]: Experts urge swimmers to take caught precautions.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, Sandy Beach, Sandy Island Beach, drowning.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I would urge it to always take precautions.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_04]: Look at some of those people on the West Coast that young guy who is, did a heck of a job rescuing that youngster from the surf there, but holy cow.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_04]: people got to learn to and then he got all the animals in the water and everything else it just stay out, you know, go to the hotel swimming pool or something if you want to get wet.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_04]: So anyway, or just just walk along the very edge of the water.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_04]: So just here I it goes up to your ankles.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_04]: Well, what are we going to go and I know they didn't
- 38:46[SPEAKER_04]: Um, Watertown outlines a plan to fix rust-colored tap water.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_04]: Is that the one stuff up on Franklin Street?
- 38:57[SPEAKER_04]: It thought they only affected a few people.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_04]: They got four options.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_04]: One cross to 128,000.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_04]: Councilman Shoun says the issue is not new to him or the city.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_05]: And somebody do something.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_04]: Let's see.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_04]: Then I can do anything to next season and they got to present it to the state for approval.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_04]: So drink your rusty water until then.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_04]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, man, you're starting to call again, but it is Tuesday, so you can get two for two stay.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_07]: That's the man's special.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_07]: But I was just on the safe, Bob.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_07]: These beaches and stuff.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_07]: When it was just a call, I saw folks as you came.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_07]: It's women and everything right now.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_07]: They just put in like a two and a half million dollar debt, which is a nice walkway and everything, but there's so much a call I can't sleep as you can't swim.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's too bad.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_07]: You have a way to come from.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I don't know.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, it's not at West Gets.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_07]: It's not down over a gun's camp.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_04]: I assume it's a, I assume it's sewage of some kind, but I don't, I don't know where it came from.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know, but they said it's so bad.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_07]: I'm the high test levels that they work day one,
- 40:42[SPEAKER_07]: But it's now like to move with your eyes for the save beats of your clothes because he just can eat you.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_04]: All righty, well, I got to run.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_04]: I got to crawl, but you go swim somewhere else.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_04]: Thanks, by now.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_07]: What?
- 40:55[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, go swim somewhere else.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, the pools.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_04]: Well, you know, you can go there while they're open.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_04]: Nice and clean there and everything.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_04]: Well, anyway, we'll see.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_04]: What else am I going to do here?
- 41:19[SPEAKER_04]: No, to the two.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_04]: I put that photo on my blog.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_04]: I called it a tempted vandalism as opposed to a tempted theft.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_04]: As I doubt these guys were going to steal it, they just wanted to do some vandalism.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe knock it over and break it or something like that, because that's...
- 41:42[SPEAKER_04]: You know, what people like that do?
- 41:47[SPEAKER_04]: Good afternoon, you're on the road.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_04]: All righty.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_04]: Well, we're moving along here.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_04]: Let's check news junkie.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_04]: Many people call the North Country's window on the world.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_04]: Let's see.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_04]: Stewart's is coming out with some fall ice cream flavors.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_04]: They get good ice cream over there.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_04]: Let's see what the flavors are.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, they got a call here.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_04]: But after noon you're on the air.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_17]: Mr. Mayor, what happened to the milliesmith?
- 42:25[SPEAKER_04]: Well, thank you.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you for calling.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_04]: It was supposed to go to trial this Friday, the 14th.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_04]: But I'm told by Milley that it has been moved.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_04]: She doesn't know why until September 18.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_04]: i don't know why they i really don't know why they don't want to have the trial i mean everybody it's city hall says it's a slam dunk against their so i don't understand it just as delayed is just as denied though that's a fact okay well appreciate the update thank you very much i thank you i don't know too much more about it but uh... i would think the d a would want to move that right along
- 43:09[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, there is no more evidence to be gathered.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_04]: They got the tape, they got the witnesses, I assume all the people who were there, including the other first responders, the family of the choker and staff at the restaurant, I'm sure they were all interviewed.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_04]: So they must have a rock solid case here.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, we got another call.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_06]: No, oh, Mr. Mayor.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_04]: What's up?
- 43:42[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, I've got a story, actually, a couple stories to read about as you get caught in the rip tight.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_06]: I did this by myself, and I've seen on the news that what you do is you caught in the rip tight.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_06]: I was caught in the rip tight, and then why wouldn't you do it, and I tried to throw it at it.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_04]: It's supposed to swim parallel with a shore, aren't you?
- 44:04[SPEAKER_06]: It's supposed to go forward to strokes back.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_06]: I just, the best thing I could do, is
- 44:10[SPEAKER_06]: is sort of inch closer that I fight directly against it just it's closer I'm running up a mile or two down the shore but if I get a little bit closer each stroke I will get you know I think you're supposed to get right I know I know I know I think you're supposed to try to swim parallel to the shore and do the best you can
- 44:40[SPEAKER_06]: and his guys didn't wash down the water, he took out the rack there and he's trying to get to rescue back to the shore, and again he's going to end up with them and Brownville who would ever take it.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_06]: Right, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, just, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't,
- 45:07[SPEAKER_06]: So I think I stayed in my cell for another guy from Galen Okay Using that technique So anybody goes swimming get calls like that Gotcha The guy Alright, it's closer I gotcha, thank you But after dinner on the air I don't Good, what's up?

- 45:37[SPEAKER_17]: I mean, that's just the signal that that's somebody that knows what they're going on.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_04]: Well, usually, yeah, they do that too.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah, it's just that the lawyers doing their job pretty much because the further it goes along, the more that things will fall apart for the prostitution.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_17]: And I just believe that the longer things are with experience, obviously things are working in her favor.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_04]: Well, why can't?
- 46:04[SPEAKER_17]: it would seem logical at this point given the publicity that somebody asked the district attorney and why it's taking so long simple question she's a lawyer yeah well it's worth it that's because he always probably he may have ran it through a lawyer may have ran it through a few hearings and then he can run at the distance and it's good to hear just as far as that that's what it goes and
- 46:30[SPEAKER_17]: I hope the best for her, and I think that's a good indication that things are going her way.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_04]: Alright, well thank you.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_17]: But you'll have a good day.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah!
- 46:41[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, I mean a lot of times they like you to drag it on so you get tired of paying lawyers and you just want to go home, so you end up either settling or pleading or something.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_04]: You know, it's just...
- 46:53[SPEAKER_04]: It's unfortunate that that's how the court's work.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_04]: Um, excuse me, but anyway, we've got, um, with the general I was saying about swimming, yeah, somebody last night was showing me video on his phone about, oh, I jumped into the river down by, uh, uh, you know, across from, uh, maggies or whatever they're, you shouldn't do that, that's stupid.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_04]: Go to a pool, or a beach, it's supervised.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_04]: Don't be jumping into the black river.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I was in the news business.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_04]: I've covered enough floaters over the years.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_04]: You don't see many of them thankfully lately, but we don't need any more floaters.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_04]: That's not a disrespectful term.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_04]: That's the name that
- 47:39[SPEAKER_04]: news organizations place on a drowning incident in other words when you got the assignment board you're listing the stories like you know train rack city council blah blah if there's a a drowning victim you write floater you know all right seven five five uh... twelve forty if you don't believe me has to go back she'd know i got he covered a lot of floaters in his day i bet

- 52:25[SPEAKER_16]: Others apparently declare war on their customers.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_10]: At badwebsite.com, we believe websites should take as long as possible to load.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_10]: We are convinced that our customers enjoy searching for contacted information like it's a treasure hunt.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_10]: We reject modern mobile optimization in favor of microscopic buttons and sideways scrolling.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_10]: We maintain that every homepage deserves at least six competing fonts, cheesy music, distracting graphics, and one blurry stock photo of executives pointing at nothing.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_10]: We proudly support outdated plugins, broken links, and layouts that make your head spin.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_10]: We believe customers should have to work hard for basic information.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_10]: And finally, we suspect your competitors sincerely appreciate all of this.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_16]: Your website should build trust, not test patients.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_16]: Let Confluent help you create an online presence customers actually want to use.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_16]: Go online at Confluent.co to get started today.

- 53:25[SPEAKER_13]: We'll bring you the latest in just minutes at the top of the hour.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_13]: On AM-1240 W-A-T-N. Hey, I'm 1240 W-A-T-N. We already got one phone tip on, uh,
- 53:37[SPEAKER_04]: one of the people is in that video that news junkie was kind enough to post so well I don't need a flock camera, you know he didn't get some cameras from Bobby Ferris and all of that stuff so it's helpful and you know just don't do that kind of stuff.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_04]: Fortunately you weren't successful
- 54:02[SPEAKER_04]: Now, I got to get a couple of burly guys to write the ball, I get it in this right position, but I guess the welder said he's going to put some kind of adhesive on it, but we'll try to make it a little more difficult, a little more difficult, and it was who involved them, I don't know if you come in or not, I'm just not interested in your patronage.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_04]: So, 755-1240, the phone number, if you'd like to give us a call, to be on a show of shows today.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_04]: And we'll talk about whatever you want.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, let's do this.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_04]: Do we do the last break yet?
- 54:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, we do.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_04]: We got them all in.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_04]: What a job.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_04]: What's going on up in the Maple City today?
- 54:54[SPEAKER_04]: Is your pool open?
- 54:57[SPEAKER_04]: You have a pool up there, don't you?
- 54:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, I thought you did.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_04]: I hope you're enjoying it.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_04]: And we are planning on having Jim Reagan on the air one of these days.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_04]: Jim's been kind enough to put together a list of some community leaders up there that the boss wanted.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_04]: So when I hope to get him on the air, he's a well-known person in Ogden'sburg in that area.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_04]: has a nice bed and breakfast up there.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_04]: It was a lot about Frederick Grimmington.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_04]: So we hope to get to Jeremiah in one of these days, talk about things.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_04]: Everywhere.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_04]: He knows a lot about the North Country.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_04]: He used to be the editor of the Ogden Spurke Journal.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_04]: Unfortunately, they still have a weekly version of that, which is good.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_04]: There probably isn't enough news in Oggen'sburg to generate a daily, but there's a lot of big issues up there.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_04]: The happen, flexed in Hepburn situation, you know, what's happening to the prisons?
- 56:13[SPEAKER_04]: The guy that founded the tavern back in the 70s, that I can't mention an A-Money Air, passed away in a traffic accident.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_04]: That was unfortunate.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_04]: So there's a lot of things that go on in the Maple City, and of course up in Canton, you
- 56:29[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I'm wondering, you know, thinking of that, all that fuss over the facade over Dave's chicken place in the town or water town, what would they have done?
- 56:42[SPEAKER_04]: What would that planning board?
- 56:43[SPEAKER_04]: That are gust planning board have done if they weren't past him when the guy put the toilet garden in.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_04]: Remember that?
- 56:52[SPEAKER_04]: He did it to get in their face.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_04]: because they wouldn't approve a piece of property he had for some commercial use.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_04]: So they're okay.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_04]: I'll put up a toilet garden, totally legal, can't stop it.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_04]: And now it's in a traction.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_04]: So, whatever.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_04]: Another thing are those, there's a talent in a main.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_04]: And I saw this on CBS.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_04]: One resident had some of those metal roosters to see a metractory supply, all different colors and everything.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_04]: and the town gave her a hard time on it.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_04]: So she loaned those out as foster roosters to other people.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_04]: And then everybody in town bought one.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_04]: They had to be in front of businesses, houses, and so on.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_04]: And then the town didn't know what to do.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't know what you do on that situation out there.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_04]: But paint your property in bright colors
- 57:58[SPEAKER_04]: Now, there's a right thinking members of the community, the serious people, yeah, so I know more than all of us.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think so.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_04]: Anyway, whatever that chain is, whether the chicken's any good or not, I don't know, we've got enough chicken around, but a little more won't hurt.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_04]: Yet a vacant storefront, they're spending money.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_04]: You should be happy about that.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_04]: And they're doing it in a guesit-gated commercial district.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_04]: You know, it's not like somebody secretly operating a business up on the Faisant Run Road with all the naughty guys.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_04]: So, get over it as what I have to say.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_04]: And I realize the city's been involved in its and broled yours too.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_04]: And probably yours, whatever you say it.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_04]: So it's not just that.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_04]: Well, anyway, our forecast looks for maybe rain tomorrow, but they keep saying that, and then it never happened.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't take it seriously anymore.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_04]: And we thank all of you for your calls.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_04]: You're a tent of this.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_04]: thank news junkie for their help, and we thank you most of all for listening, you know, from all over, from Jefferson County right up into St. Lawrence County, and we hope you keep listening, all ready?
- 59:35[SPEAKER_04]: Now, Glenn Curry will be in at five o'clock today, you know that, and he'll have a good show or you'll want to listen to that.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_04]: And I want to remind you, this is the hotline, you're listening to it on community broadcaster stations, WQTK-92.7 and Ardenberg, and AIM-1240-WATN, right here in Watertown on World to Avenue, the time is 1 o'clock, ABC News is
