A rare EF-zero tornado touched down in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, churning south of Trenary and crossing from Delta into Alger Counties — the first such event in the region since August 2021. Though weak and short-lived, it followed intense thunderstorms that produced massive hail, including stones the size of a nickel and others up to 1.5 inches.
