Speaker 1: Millions of Americans are walking around with parasites right now and they have absolutely no idea. They might blame their brain fog on age, their fatigue on stress, their skin problems on allergies, their aching joints, or digestive trouble on something they ate. But my guest today, a world renowned parasitologist who studied this for decades, says the real cause could be these tiny living things living inside their bodies. So just to how many people are affected? He estimates that two out of every three Americans may have some form of parasitic infection, including people who don't show any obvious symptoms.
• 0:56
Most of us assume that parasites are something you pick up in a faraway dirty country, but the truth is they can enter the human body through even tap water or your food or your pets. And if your doctor was never trained to look for them, how would you ever know that they were there and how would you know that they're affecting you? Welcome to Man in America. I'm your host, Seth Hullhouse. My guest today is doctor Omar Amin.
• 1:23
He's one of the most experienced parasitologists in the world today. His career spans more than six decades during which he's published over three forty scientific papers, conducted research around the world, and become an internationally recognized authority on parasites and infectious diseases. He's a former professor at the University of Wisconsin, a Fulbright scholar, and has conducted research with both the CDC and The US Navy. So today, he directs the Institute of Parasitic Diseases and the Parasitology Center in Arizona. Few people alive today have spent as much time studying the world of parasites as doctor Amen, and I'm really excited to have him joining us.

Now, before we start, make sure you hit that like button and the share button and the subscribe button. It's free. It's easy, and it helps me bring you this information without a paywall. Alright. Let's get into my conversation now with doctor Omar Amin.
• 2:16
Doctor Amin, it is such an honor to have you on the show. I'm really looking forward to asking a lot of different questions and learning more about today's topic. So thank you for giving us your time today.
• 2:28
Speaker 2: Happy to be with you here.
• 2:29
Speaker 1: Thank you. So I was introduced to you by Doctor. Brian Artis, who's a very good friend of mine. And we were doing a show covering Lyme disease in particular. And we got into parasites, and I've done parasite cleanses before.
• 2:45
I've done shows on parasite cleanses. But when doctor Artis was describing you, you know, he's the artist... Brian is someone that I have a lot of respect for, but then he he kinda held you up on this pedestal as kind of the, this is the guy that understands Parasites. You've been doing it for a very long time. And so I've, I'm really just looking forward to getting into this.
• 3:07
So maybe if we can start with a little bit of your background, specifically in Parasites, because you have a very unique, very unique career in this.
• 3:19
Speaker 2: My my dad was an MG, and he would have loved for me to follow his path and take over his practice in due time. And I, I wanted to get more into the preventive medicine part of the picture, and not just treat patients after they become sick. So one of the big aspects of the epidemiology of preventive medicine was to study the causative factors that would cause sickness and illness. And that's when I discovered parasites, and that parasites, not just because of their acute symptomology that they cause to unsuspected patients, but also because of their being causative factors in the creation of chronic diseases, which a lot of people do not associate with acute parasite infections. So we have found a very strong relationship between chronic diseases and parasitology.
• 4:40
And we just recently had an article published about CRC rectal cancer and the involvement of many of those cases with parasite infections, which confirms in more than one way, my original contention is to look for parasites, not just as causative agents of acute infections and symptomology like bleeding guts or diarrhea or constipation or the typical classical intestinal symptoms, but also look the atypical, extra intestinal infection symptomology.
• 5:35
Speaker 1: And so how long have you been studying parasites specifically?
• 5:43
Speaker 2: About four years So or
• 5:48
Speaker 1: for as long as I've been alive, you've been studying parasites?
• 5:52
Speaker 2: Since perhaps before you were born. Yes.
• 5:56
Speaker 1: And so, it's interesting because, you know, I grew up here in America. Until I started looking into more alternative health, different, different, you know, experts, you never hear parasites being discussed. You never hear a mainstream doctor, you would never go to your doctor and say, I've got a gut problem, or I have, you know, whatever issues you have. Parasites is never something that they would even talk about. Yet, from what I understand, it's one of the leading causes in so many issues.
• 6:32
And so, I guess one... I guess I have two questions for you. One is, why do you think Western medicine does not talk about parasites? And then the other question is how common are parasites even for people in America where we think that we're this really clean country?
• 6:48
Speaker 2: Okay. That's two two good questions. I like them. The first question has to do with the American medical practitioners that have never taken one course of parasitology in med school, or even pre med preparation. So they do not recognize or acknowledge parasite as a possible cause of illness.
• 7:15
So a patient comes with abdominal cramps or diarrhea or something. And then the first thing they cross their mind is give them some steroids. They don't think of the possibility of a parasite and the possibility of perhaps knowing the proper test for parasites. And if you get the parasites tested for properly, they do not know how to deal with them simply because they think that we live in an environment that is so clean and perfect. We have no parasites in America.
• 7:56
I have one practitioner telling me the other day, I do not believe in parasites, as if it's a religious belief system. And I had a conversation with him, and I told him my last lecture at the largest medical hospital in Cairo, Egypt, it was about two or three years ago, I was lecturing to the internal medicine department. And in the internal medicine department, that large educational university hospital, they have 12 parasitologists, 12 professors of parasitology in the internal medicine department, because they do not take parasites lightly. It's serious business. And they associate with chronic diseases very readily, especially with the various forms of cancer.
• 8:54
  So that's one thing.
• 8:58
Speaker 1: If you or someone in your family is on Medicare or turning 65 soon, I really think you should listen to this because most people don't find out their plan doesn't exactly fit when they pick it. They find out later at the pharmacy counter. That's And the part that no one warns you about. The bill shows up months after the decision did. So I've partnered with Chapter, and these guys are fantastic, one of the best in the business.
• 9:19
Chapter's independent advisors are the only Medicare advisors that compare every plan nationwide. They look at your doctors, your prescriptions, what matters to you. Then they compare every plan against all of that to match you with the best plan for your life. They're honest, they're not paid to steer you anywhere. If you're already on the correct plan, they're gonna tell you that, but if you're not, they'll help you switch.
• 9:40
It takes under twenty minutes to do. There's no promo code because working with chapter is always free. So don't wait. Go to askchapter.org/man. Again, that's askchapter.org/man,asinmaninamerica.
• 9:56
Speaker 2: If you look at the prevalence numbers of parasitology infections in The United States by our most recent study. Thirty two percent of our cross sectional study patients have parasites, that we see them under the microscope, visual. So there's no way you can miss them. Thirty two percent. Keeping in mind the fact that about thirty percent of parasites do not produce symptoms.
• 10:32
They are subclinical infections. So testing a patient because they have symptoms is not enough because you need to be testing the patients that do not show symptoms, but you have a good reason to suspect they may have a parasite infection by virtue of where they have struggled or who they associate with. Every infected case, we call it reference case, has a two to one ratio of another family member showing the same parasites. So family relationships matter. Our thirty two percent rate from our North American cross sectional study corresponds with the rates in Mexico and in many other South American countries.
• 11:33
So we are not that far off on being exposed to parasite infections. And most of the parasites that infect North American subjects are cosmopolitan in nature. They are spread throughout the world. Antony Bechostricha is cosmopolitan. Blastocystis homilus is cosmopolitan.
• 12:02
Giardia Lamplia is cosmopolitan. American doctors here do not know that you can turn the tap on, on at home to get running water. If you stand, if you live in certain of 23 states and seven, seven Canadian provinces, you can get an infection with giardia or cryptosporidium from tap water only. So you don't even have to go to some strange places or eat some strange food to be infected. You could get it in your own home, from your own tap water.
• 12:46
So exposure to parasites is cosmopolitan, no matter whichever way you look at it. And Parasites, as I'm sure you know, Parasites cannot read English, do not recognise political borders, and they cross the borders with the influx of populations, either for travel for different reasons, or when we go to other places where parasite infections are well known, then we pick up the infections just the same. It goes both ways. So thirty two percent clinical infection positives add to them subclinical cases. And then add to them the parasite patients that they do not know they are parasite patients, that do not get tested.
• 13:49
And the ones that get tested that do not get to properly be properly diagnosed by the practitioner who does not believe in parasites and does not know how to handle parasite test results. And if a faecal could see a parasite name, they do not know what to prescribe for them. The most common thing is either Flagyl, the only name that most doctors know, which is a very harmful antibiotic, or steroids. And the story goes on. So in terms of actual parasites prevalence rates, I suspect that is every one hundred percent of the cases of people in the cross sectional studies, about two thirds of them definitely have parasites, be it clinical, subclinical, properly treated or improperly treated.
• 15:02
So I tell my friends, you can go into the movie theater and watch a movie about parasites and look to the right and say, oh, he's infected. And look to the left, oh, here's the other infected and I'm the clean one. And you cannot be any more wrong. But the definite confirmed in our book prevalence rate of parasite infections, I suspect, in The USA is roughly two out of three people have clinical parasite infections, whether it is symptomatic or not symptomatic.
• 15:46
Speaker 1: And so when you say two out of three have clinical parasite infections, you, what does that mean for somebody to have a clinical parasite infection?
• 16:02
Speaker 2: It means that person, if they are not asymptomatic, if they have symptoms, the symptoms could be either intestinal symptoms or extra intestinal symptoms. The extra intestinal symptoms are the ones that are more commonly involved in chronic diseases, like chronic fatigue, skin reactions, that kind of stuff. Typical intestinal symptoms are diarrhea, constipation, bleeding, and that kind of stuff. So it's whether you have this kind or that kind of symptoms, you are a case that needs attention. And most practitioners do not know what to treat for Parasites, like I mentioned, they either give Flagyl, which is a very harmful antibiotic, or various kinds of steroids.
• 17:11
Speaker 1: And so, if we're looking at what you could say a large majority of people here in America that have what you describe as a clinical parasite infection, whether they're asymptomatic or symptomatic, how many of the just common ailments that people are used to, right? Brain fog, you know, arthritis, sore joints, indigestion, whether it's constipation, irritable bowel, any number of these things without getting into the more serious ones, which, you know, become neurological, etcetera, but how many of just the, you know, the average person that's walking around that just doesn't feel right, just feels off, whether tired or whatever it is, How much of that do you think is actually just caused by parasites?
• 18:03
Speaker 2: I suspect that most of them are caused by parasites that remain unrecognized, either by the patient themselves or by whichever practitioner that it goes to. And normally I suspect when you're feeling off, test yourself. There's nothing wrong with that. I have worked with practitioners. I used to work with practitioners that have their patients tested for Parasites as part of their annual exam.
• 18:41
Routinely once every year, for reason or for no reason, get a parasite test. That, that, that is a good routine. Horses in Sweden get tested for parasites annually, every year, without any reason, just for the same possible thing, because horses are very expensive and very important animals, specifically in Sweden, with which I have more experience. If we can just be treated as good as the treat horses in Sweden, I think we'll be good.
• 19:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, yes. What, so I think, again, I think that for a lot of people here in America, because it's not part of the mainstream kind of health understanding or conversation, if you say, Oh, you've got parasites, they don't even have a thought of what that might be. But when you say parasites, like when someone, let's say, has a clinical parasite infection, What does that look like? What are the common parasites that are in people's bodies? What size?
• 19:52
What types? What's going on under the skin?
• 19:56
Speaker 2: Well, in North America, the most common parasites are the unicellular parasites, the protozoa, like blastocystis and amoebas and giardia and so on. And those cannot be seen with the naked eye. They're so small, they're microscopic. They have to be tested for specifically using various techniques of recovery to process a faecal sample, or a urine sample, or a skin sample, or samples from any parts of the body where you suspect the parasite may be present. So that is normal.
• 20:39
This is an excellent question that you asked because it also has another kind of answer. Just visualize your parasites are feeding on your body and you're not aware of it because they are asymptomatic and they're causing a lot of damage to your tissue, whether it's intestinal or liver or lungs or whatever. When there's a lot of tissue damage, the body will attempt to regenerate new tissue to compensate for the damaged tissue by the parasites. So the cells which have been damaged go through cycles of mitotic division, mitosis, or cell divisions, to create more of itself. The body sometimes forgets it is doing mitosis, forgets when it is time to stop mitotic division, because they already satisfied the requirements of the body.
• 21:47
So they keep dividing. And when they keep dividing, the tissue becomes metastatic. And metastasis is going to produce cancerous tissue ultimately. That's how my mother died, from metastasis of tissue, from a simple, simple infection in the intestinal tract that went into the liver. And the tissue kept dividing.
• 22:18
And finally she died from liver cancer. Now, so cancer of many different kinds can be caused by the continuous division of the body tissues to regenerate new tissues as a result of damage caused by parasites. We recently published an article about colorectal cancer, and we made the association between the evolution of that cancer and the parasite infections that's causing certain symptoms that forced the group, the human tissue to go through... Mitotic cycles, ultimately ending up with CRC. Our most recent statistics published by the US Department of Health suspects that, I have the numbers here, it is one hundred and fifty eight thousand new cases of bowel cancer that will take place by the end of this year.
• 23:38
Speaker 1: One hundred and fifty eight thousand new cases of, you say bowel cancer?
• 23:43
Speaker 2: Bowel cancer. And most of these are bowel cancer in men and women by the age of 50, below 50 years of age. I have more numbers here, but I don't wanna throw a lot of numbers at you. But that's the situation here that we have. And I believe thirty percent to thirty five percent, I'm not sure the number is very close to that, of bowel cancer is related to intestinal parasites.
• 24:24
Symptomology caused by intestinal parasites. Is... So, in our book, the best way to avoid colorectal cancer and other kinds of cancer, which are related, associated with intestinal or other parasites, is to get tested for parasites as a preventive measure to avoid that part of cancer that can be associated with parasite infections. These cancers caused by other reasons also, but the ones that are associated with intestinal parasites, you can avoid these sources by getting tested for parasites whenever it is, if you feel it is, you should do it, you know.
• 25:21
Speaker 1: And now what about more chronic diseases, right? So looking at Lyme as an example, or other ones we can go to and into as well, but I guess maybe let's start with Lyme, because Lyme seems to be one of these things that, again, mainstream Western doctors, they'll give you some antibiotics for it. Then they'll basically just tell you that you just have to manage symptoms. They don't really give a solution for how to combat Lyme. It seems to be very little, very poorly understood by the mainstream medical system here.
• 25:57
What can you tell us I about
• 26:00
Speaker 2: personally and I worked with personally Willie Bergdorfer at the Rocky Mountain Laboratory in Hamilton, Montana. I worked with him in cooperation because I was doing some research on ticks and tick borne diseases. And Hamilton Montana is the epicenter of tick research in North America, in Hamilton Montana. And from my experience with him, we know that Lyme disease, which actually is named after a city of Lyme in Europe, not in The United States, but anyways, is caused by infections of pathogenic bacteria, the kind that's called spirulum, which has, together with the spirulum bacteria, there's many other so called co infections. There's many other infections that are transmitted by the tick bite, in addition to the Lyme disease agent.
• 27:18
And that is what makes the issue very compound and very difficult to deal with, because every separate different kind of infection that is associated with Lyme can also be a cause for serious outcome, same as Lyme does. So treating Lyme alone is a good, clean way of doing it, but you are not really treating all the co infections that are associated with Lyme. The way the tick feeds, I raise ticks in the laboratories, and I know how they feed. The tick has three or four nymphal instars, nymphal stages. Nymphs will feed in humans, They will have a blood meal, then they will get themselves off and drop on the ground, and they quest on grass leaves for two or three weeks to digest the blood meal, and then they hang at the tips of the grass leaves, and then waiting for another person to walk by.
• 28:39
They recognize that person by the CO, carbon dioxide from breathing, they're attracted to concentrations of carbon dioxide, and they reattach, and they metamorphose into the next stage, and so on and so forth, until they reach the adult stage. Then they breed on the host and they drop off and lay eggs on the ground. That's how the ticks do it. And the ticks, when they feed the salivary glands of the tick has an anticoagulant. So when they put their mouth parts into your skin, into your body, they have to, action is to secrete the anticoagulant to make sure that the blood of the host does not coagulate, it remains fluid, so they can continue imbibing blood into their system.
• 29:44
So the anticoagulant, when it's being injected with the human being, carries with it the infections from the body cavity and the intestinal tract of the tick. So it is like a syringe. The syringes pushes and as it injects the anticoagulant, it injects also the other microorganisms that live inside the tick, for which we have no resistance. And then they start sucking your blood away. So it's a two way traffic, the syringe opens and closes few times until they finish their blood meal, then they drop in the ground.
• 30:27
So it almost impossible to treat Lyme disease as one single clean infection for which you can develop a remedy or treatment, and that will take care of it, because there are many other associated stuff that come from the gut of the tick and carried together with the tick saliva into the human body. It's transmitting a new infection of a different kind. They're called co infections. That's what complicates the issue with Lyme. It is impossible to treat Lyme perfectly well, and be satisfied with the final outcome.
• 31:14
And sometimes people recover from Lyme treatment and they become well, then it's... They relapse and the infection comes back alive again. Seem like malaria also relapses. I don't know if my long answer satisfied your question.
• 31:36
Speaker 1: Oh, no, it does. And so, what is the... So these things that come over from the tick, when it kind of sticks its syringe into you and releases this coagulant saliva, is, are there parasites that are part of that? Is that also part of what's?
• 31:56
Speaker 2: Yes, parasites that live inside the tick itself. The tick is a perfect carrier because it carries many different species of parasites. The Lyme species is one. And there's about three or four or five other species, depends where you are in the world, and which are the endemic infections for tick feeding. The ticks pick when they feed.
• 32:23
The human The United States, the human tick that transmits Lyme in the East United States is the dark tick. It's called 'Dermacenta variabens'. The dark tick also feeds on wildlife, like deer and opossums and raccoons and rodents of various kinds. And all these have infections. The tick feeds on smaller mammals first, and when they become adults, they feed on large mammals.
• 32:56
And then finally at the end of the spectrum, they feed on humans. They go through blood meals from different wildlife hosts that carry their own infections. And those accumulate together to become the co infections, along with Lyme, when man gets to be fed upon.
• 33:22
Speaker 1: I see. Okay. Okay. Gosh, that makes sense. I mean, similar to what mosquitoes can do, right?
• 33:28
Is they can carry... Or fleas, right? They can carry these things from certain other animals and then they attach to humans and you have this transfer, right, happening.
• 33:39
Speaker 2: The ultimate source, the whole picture is called zoon, zoonotic infection. Zoonosis. So we have the wildlife, which is called the reservoir population. And the wildlife feeds the tick, as the ticks feed the wildlife and accumulate many different pathogens that have been present in the previous animals that the tick fed upon. Because for one tick to reach the final stage in which it bites human, it goes through, like I mentioned, about three or four, sometimes five, depending on the species, five blood meals from four or five different wildlife hosts, that are the source of the co infections that go into the tick intestine, which is regurgitated with the syringe, as the tick brings into your body, the anticoagulant, to guarantee a continuous flow of blood as they feed, so they're not blocked while they're feeding.
• 34:55
Speaker 1: And so, okay, so ticks are, that's obviously one thing, and that's obviously, it's a big issue. And again, you never hear any doctors recommending any kind called
• 35:09
Speaker 2: the blocking situation, yeah.
• 35:10
Speaker 1: Yes. Now, what about some other things that are tied to parasites in the body? I mean, so we talked about the intestinal tract parasites, which I imagine are quite common. I'm sure it's a great place to hang out if you want a lot of food sources coming in, a lot of nutrients coming through the intestinal tract. But what about the parasites?
• 35:35
You know, do they get into the brain? Do they, what are other things that happen in someone's body when parasites start? Okay,
• 35:44
Speaker 2: some intestinal parasites, the damage from intestinal parasites is threefold. One is caused by the actual feeding on like antamoeba hysteritica, will feed on the intestinal epithelium of the gut. They also feed on your red blood cells, and they devour the intestinal epithelium. So... And they can lodge in there causing damage by feeding, scarring the tissue and feeding it.
• 36:20
The tissue becomes wide open and becomes subject to secondary bacterial infection. That's one damage. The second damage occurs by... Let's talk about antamoeba histolytica, for instance. The amoeba feeds on the gut tissue and causes direct immediate damage to the human life cells.
• 36:46
Second damage is that the Ehysteritica will also tend to cross the gut barrier, cross into the intestinal wall and end up in the liver causing liver damage. So you get hepatic damage and enlarge the liver. And secondary, now these are not intestinal infections now, it's become body cavity infection. Okay. When it goes from the gut to the liver, it's traveling via the bloodstream.
• 37:28
So, it will travel with the blood in the hepatic portal system, from the intestine to the, to the liver. And then and then from the liver, it will go with the circulation. It can go to the lungs and can travel to the brain causing brain damage and physiology due to brain issues. You can think about the trauma to the brain, The diameter of the the slightly wider than the diameter of the smallest artery and veins in the brain. So they move into the brain and then they clog the brain circulation.
• 38:30
Then the brain will be deprived of oxygen, because there's no blood cells moving through, because the parasites have clogged the small arteries and veins. So, so the patient can die from brain issues, from an intestinal parasite, that starts out as an intestinal parasite. Is... So the migration of the parasite will cause this kind of damage. The third issue is that the amoeba, as a living organism, it feeds and then eliminates waste.
• 39:16
So the metabolic byproducts of the waste products of the parasites will produce a classical allergic reaction to the patient. So other body parts will suffer as a result of the metabolic, the toxic metabolic byproducts of the parasites. And in that case, the patient suffers reactions, like for instance, in classical allergic reaction, the skin breaks out. So you have a person whose skin is unsightly from metabolic products of an intestinal parasite, which has nothing to do directly with the brain, with the skin. And then the patient spends time and money going to a dermatologist.
• 40:19
Treat this, treat my skin. I cannot do, not go to work. I cannot shoot a picture. I cannot do this, I cannot... Because my skin, look at my skin.
• 40:28
Oh, well, instead of going to the dermatologist, you should go to the Parasitologist and find out if the skin condition may have been caused by a parasite. And good enough, quite often, we found out that skin infections in children in the East Coast Of The United States, fifty percent of them are caused by an intestinal parasite.
• 40:56
  Speaker 1: Really so...
• 40:56
Speaker 2: And his daughter. And his fifty percent.
• 40:59
Speaker 1: Percent of children on the East Coast with skin...
• 41:03
  Speaker 2: East Coast, intestines.
• 41:05
Speaker 1: Is caused by intestinal parasites.
• 41:08
Speaker 2: Intestinal parasites. So the right answer is not to give them steroids, but test them for parasites and whatever you find, treat the parasite, and then the skin symptoms will disappear.
• 41:23
Speaker 1: About people that have pets? Like people that have dogs, cats, etcetera, where, you know, it's common to be, your dog licks your and whatnot.
• 41:33
Speaker 2: My favorite saying is that dogs are not man's best friend. Because most pet parasites, especially the Blastocystis and the Cryptosporidium, which are two very common parasites in The United States. The same species, varieties of the same species in dogs, are the same as there is in man, in humans. And, and the biggest mistake is when kids have dogs sleep with them, and they exchange kisses. And then the best way of transmission of parasites from the dog to the human, because the dogs, as you know, they lick themselves, including their anal opening, and they spread their parasites and their egg sages on their fur.
• 42:30
And when that is kissed by a person, a child, not child, we will transmit the infection, a sure way of transmitting the infection to the human being. Goodness. I mean, my wife loves dogs, but I would never keep a dog in my house.
• 42:49
Speaker 1: Yeah. And we have two dogs, but... We have two dogs, we have cats and chickens, but they're all outdoor animals. They're not allowed to come inside because they have a role on the property, and they play their role, but they don't step foot in our house.
• 43:04
Speaker 2: Yeah. We should not, and definitely should not exchange kisses with the kids. That's the most important part, is the behavioral aspects.
• 43:17
Speaker 1: And so, getting into getting rid of the parasites, which I think, if you look at the lack of information or even acknowledgement of parasites in Western medicine, you can see that you can make a lot more money treating people for the symptoms caused by parasites than you can make treating parasites and getting rid of parasites. I mean, a nice parasite host creates a lifetime customer for a pharmaceutical company.
• 43:48
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 43:49
Speaker 1: Right? So it makes sense why our medical schools are how they are.
• 43:53
Speaker 2: Some people opt to do that. I sometimes get a patient that tells me, I have the symptoms, but I don't think I have parasites. I thought, well, you should treat yourself anyway. If we have an index case in household, and the gentleman has parasites, everyone in the household should be treated. Because de facto, everyone else has the same general exposure to the same parasites.
• 44:28
And if we tested the index case for parasites and we found it positive, then everyone else should be treated. Tested or not tested, should be treated. It will cost less money than testing everyone, if you have one index case in a household, is to treat.
• 44:50
Speaker 1: I mean, sounds like from this, even just in this discussion, even saying two thirds of the population in America has parasites, that seems like a conservative number.
• 45:03
Speaker 2: It probably is conservative number, but I'm just being on the safe side, just in case, for general conversation, since Parasites is not the favorite dinner conversation topic, as say, two of every three rat parasites. And not... Subject to discussion.
• 45:31
  Speaker 1: Yeah. For sure.
• 45:32
  Speaker 2: Yeah. Now
• 45:34
Speaker 1: you mentioned the testing. How do people test?
• 45:39
Speaker 2: And that's it in the clinic culture. Sorry?
• 45:44
Speaker 1: I was going to say, yeah, for testing...
• 45:45
Speaker 2: How do people what?
• 45:46
Speaker 1: I'm sorry. How do people test for parasites?
• 45:50
Speaker 2: How do they test? Well, normally, well, we have a website that is accessible, parasitetesting.com, have treatments available, and treatments available.
• 46:04
  Speaker 1: Right here, right?
• 46:06
  Speaker 2: Yep. Right here.
• 46:07
Speaker 1: Yes, okay. So we have made a URL, just sethclenz.com. Takes you here. So... And this is your company, right?
• 46:15
  So you have tests.
• 46:17
Speaker 2: Yes. That's our company. Click tests.
• 46:24
Speaker 1: And so on here, what is the... Would you recommend? For someone that says, Hey, I've been feeling off, what would you recommend here?
• 46:38
Speaker 2: Well, we recommend, routinely, three months protocol for acute cases. And that is judged, acute or not acute, judged by the intensity of infection as the patient sample is being tested, as well by the degree of symptomology. If the patient's symptomatic, that's a good giveaway. So we recommend that the patient, if the patient is an acute case, so it's a short term case, we recommend the three months remedy. If the patient is a chronic case, or a case of long standing, then we recommend the five months remedy.
• 47:29
I can see here. So this is the
• 47:33
  Speaker 1: ninety day, right?
• 47:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the ninety day one, that's our recommendation for acute cases of infection, whether the patient is tested positive or lives with the patient that tests positive or had a good reason. Have actually some patients sometime in the past that says, I dreamt I have parasites. I have parasites in my dreams. What do you think I should do?' When we test the dreamers, many of them actually end up having parasites, some don't. So we recommend the ultimate test is your final proof, if you want that proof, or if you have a good enough reason to think that you have a parasite infection by association with an index case or by symptoms, or by having travelled to some suspicious place in the world, or even having developed some symptoms from drinking tap water from your own house.
• 48:41
The research is there. And the articles we have published, about three thirty five articles on parasites and parasite infections, which are available and downloadable on our website. You can pick and choose whichever it is subject that suits you. And download the article and educate yourself.
• 49:13
Speaker 1: And so, the test itself... On here, and this is what I... Because this is the first time I'd heard that there's even tests for Parasites, was when Doctor. Artis mentioned it. That so you can actually test it.
• 49:27
Do you recommend a blood analysis or a stool analysis? What would you recommend for someone that wants to understand comprehensively what parasites they might have?
• 49:36
Speaker 2: Well, we recommend two major tests, one for intestinal parasites and one for extra intestinal parasites. So there is two tests in one, and that should be here someplace.
• 49:54
Speaker 1: So see, there's the comprehensive stool and there's a full GI panel.
• 49:58
Speaker 2: Yeah. The full GI panel. Right. That's both the stool tests and the direct stool tests and and swab test. The swab test will test for pathogenic bacteria, because quite often patient symptoms can be attributed to intestinal parasites or intestinal pathogenic bacteria.
• 50:25
And to cover all bases, it is best to make the two tests that full GI panel. That would be the safe way of doing it.
• 50:37
Speaker 1: And so you do these tests in house?
• 50:43
Speaker 2: We put everything together, and we have facilities outside of our main office.
• 50:51
  Speaker 1: I see.
• 50:53
Speaker 2: Our main facility is in Mexico. And we have staff there that does the testing. And we go there quite often to conclude the testing and provide the final output of the test results.
• 51:08
Speaker 1: And what is We
• 51:10
Speaker 2: actually, we also have another lab in London, England. So we do our European and British testing in our other facility, it's on our website in London.
• 51:24
Speaker 1: And when someone gets a test, what does it come back? What does it look like when someone gets their results that come back?
• 51:33
Speaker 2: We have a comprehensive result sheet. We have two result sheets. One for intestinal parasites, it's called diagnostic reports, and one that's part of the full GI panel that tests that give you the results for the pathogenic bacteria, which is a swab culture test. Just give you an example. In the diagnostic report of intestinal parasites, we test for about 40 different species of parasites.
• 52:07
Most other hospital labs test for one or two, and we include blastocystis, antamoeba, dientamoeba, iodamoeba, indolimax, giardia, pyelomastics, trichomonas, barontegium, cryptosporidium, isospora and cyclospora. There's a big outbreak of cyclospora still going on in the country today. So that's what the first test tests for, the direct stool sample test, the swab culture tests, tests for E. Coli, Klebsiella, Vibrio cholera, Acetobacter, Roaches, Campylobacter, Clostridium, Enterobacter, Enterococcus, Streptococcus, coagulase, and so on. So we have two sets of pathogenic organisms.
• 53:06
Each has its own separate test form. And our combined test covers the full spectrum of anything that is possibly be in your intestine. This way we're not missing anything.
• 53:21
Speaker 1: And then if the tests come back conclusive, so the cleanse, right, you have, which you say, so we've got a thirty day, the ninety day. So how does this cleanse work? What does it do? Like how does this actually get rid of these parasites, these different cleanses?
• 53:47
Speaker 2: The cleanse has three formulations. If you can see here, you see freedom, cleanse and restore. Freedom is the actual anti parasitic. This is the one destroyed the cell membrane of the parasites. It is geared to work perfectly in the proper pH of the part of the intestinal tract that has certain pH that is compatible with this formulation.
• 54:22
Cleanse part is the other part of the remedy that coordinates the actions of the freedom and the other remedies in the cleanse, cleanses and coordinates the, the, the remedy action with the host pH at different times of the day. As you know, our pH changes during the hours of the day, and the different parts of the gut. And the restore is the third component of our remedy that works by rebuilding damaged tissue, that's caused by a parasite feeding or parasite migration. So the three formulations work in concert together, to provide maximum possible cure from the infection. And are these?
• 55:28
  That's how it's designed.
• 55:31
Speaker 1: And are there synthetic components, or are these, what are the...
• 55:36
Speaker 2: No, they're all natural, there's no synthetic components, they're all natural herbs, And you can actually, if you have a good nose, you can open the capsule from each of the three formulations and you can smell the ingredients. You can tell what goes into it. And... I when I was in Cuba, I was I was dealing with the gentleman who runs the medical establishments in the Cuban medical practice. He happened to have been the brother of Fidel Castro.
• 56:17
Interesting. We developed a good relationship with big, huge guy, scary looking guy. And, and I was demonstrating how our remedy works, because he asked me the same question that you asked me. And I said, I don't wanna hear it. Let me smell it.
• 56:38
He opened each bottle and each capsule and he sniffed it. Sniffed this and sniffed this and sniffed a third. And he told me, Omar, these are good remedies. We want them. Because he could identify the smell of the herbal component that went into the blending.
• 57:05
We don't like to do the other ways by developing, what do you call it, abstracts? What do you call it? Extracts, yeah. We don't like the extracts because the extracts are selected components that the developer thinks they are the secrets of the remedy. But when you develop an extract, you are overlooking, you are dismissing other components outside of the extracts that strengthen the extract and provide additional factors that makes the remedy whole, holistic.
• 58:00
So we do our stuff synergistically as whole parts of the plant. But we refuse to develop extracts as we have been asked to do a number of times before. I don't like that.
• 58:18
Speaker 1: And what is it, what do people experience on these? Because I just, you know, we have your products at our house. We've used them multiple times. My daughter was bit by a tick, and we went straight to this. She did a thirty day cleanse.
• 58:35
And even another friend of a good friend of mine has had a history of Lyme and all kinds of things. She's now on her second round of these. And what's interesting is the first time she did the first round, she had a lot of skin reactions. She was really itchy. You know, so it was really uncomfortable.
• 58:54
The second round actually, she noticed a big difference. A lot of these other symptoms went away. But what do... For someone that has, you know, one of these parasite infections, which seems like most people do, what is it like to go through the process of cleansing them?
• 59:11
Speaker 2: Yeah, you said this so well, I couldn't have said it better. And she experienced the right things that we expect patients on the remedy to experience. At the beginning, the first week or two, there's probably gonna be some harsh reaction. And you would think that's always not doing anything, it's actually causing more damage than good. And that is the period of what we call the kill effect.
• 59:42
That's when the bursitis are first... The cell membrane breaks open, and all the damaging effects are being exposed out in the open, and the kill effects will cause more damage than could. And then once you pass the first two, or maybe sometimes three weeks for some people, then the scale effects, shock syndrome will disappear, and the patient will start feeling better. And by the end of the first month, you can see it's making some progress. By the end of the second month, the patient will show considerable improvement.
• 1:00:38
And by the end of the third month, the symptoms should be totally gone and the infection is totally non existent anymore. So that's why our acute case remedy period, we recommend for three months. But if the patient is chronic, there's other organs involved other than outside of the intestinal tract, may recommend five months. Some cases where either the parasites strain, there's many strains of the parasites, are more resilient and harder to control. So we recommend the five months to be on the safe side.
• 1:01:30
And in some cases, like for instance, some strains in Northern India of Blastocystis hominis are so strongly resilient, they're very hard to control. Sometimes the patients take their imaging. I tell them take them as long as you have symptoms. And that takes them for six months, nine months, sometimes a year or longer. And sometimes even a year or longer for those particular nasty strains may not be enough to kill all the parasites, but the remaining population of parasites is so weakened and so irrelevant that the patient has no symptoms whatsoever, even though the parasite sometimes can be detected in stool samples taken a year later, barely detectable.
• 1:02:36
But for all practical purposes, the infection is gone. And we found out also this remedy, we call it a feel good remedy, which is not just for parasites. It's really for collective, comprehensive enhancements of all the organ systems together and people feel good taking it. And some people just like to take it. My son takes it, I take it, just for the help of it, because it feels good.
• 1:03:15
So, and some of the feel good patients that we had, including at least two patients or maybe three over the last few years that had breast cancer. And after a couple of years of feel good, their breast cancer disappeared.
• 1:03:38
  Speaker 1: Really?
• 1:03:39
Speaker 2: And she goes to her oncologist and he tells her, What did you do? I'm testing you. Your cancer is gone. Blah, blah. Then she says, I've been taking treatment, cleanse and restore from PCI.
• 1:03:57
And it sometimes does that. It was not intended for breast cancer by any stretch of imagination, but it apparently has that effect also in hard to cure long term chronic diseases.
• 1:04:17
Speaker 1: And what about, are there any other indications of the parasites kind of leaving your body? I've heard story... I... Doctor Artis was talking about one one of his clients actually was coughing up worms. I've also heard a lot of stories, and I've done them before, where you can you can see in your own stool.
• 1:04:37
There's also parasites that are, you know, the non microscopic ones.
• 1:04:42
Speaker 2: This has been in the literature, it's been documented before. For instance, the migration cycle of Ascaris lamborococcus. Ascaris is a one foot long worm, and you can have many of them infected with your intestines to the point that food does not go through. It blocks the intestine. And sometimes it goes through the intestinal wall, through loops in the gut, and ends up in the body cavity, causing other body cavity conditions.
• 1:05:27
But if you look how the infection is acquired, You eat the egg of the parasite with your meal. Food that you get from unwashed vegetables, let's say in Mexico, I don't mean beg Mexico, I love Mexico. And then the egg goes through the intestine, enters the gut, and then migrates through the gut wall, becoming L1 larva, stage of larva development. And L1 larva migrates with the circulation to the lungs, and with pulmonary circulation goes from the lungs to the oral cavity, and then re swallowed again to become fully developed adults in the gut. That's when you have the ultimate infection.
• 1:06:27
So on the migration route from the pulmonary circulation to the oral cavity back to the intestinal tract, you can cough them out. The actual worm is is in your mouth. It's moving from the pulmonary circulation back to the oral cavity, back to the gut, to establish their ultimate destination in the gut as an adult, as a one foot long adult, when it grows fully. So yes, you can, and this has been demonstrated in the literature. It's not news.
• 1:07:09
Speaker 1: Good. Wow. Yeah. That's... Don't watch this interview while you're eating spaghetti, I would say.
• 1:07:16
And what about in terms of timing of doing the cleanse? I know that there's a lot of cleanses that I've done before that you're looking time around full moon or some of these types of things. Is the cleanse more effective when doing it through a full moon period?
• 1:07:33
Speaker 2: It doesn't really matter about the moon cycle. I have great respect for the moon cycle and the gravitational form on the tides, and how that affects certain systems, especially in women around the moon cycle and so on. But the cycle that we are concerned about is the pH cycle in the gut. Okay. Because the remedy is designed to be taken at certain times, when the pH of the gut, at the time the remedy is taken is most appropriate for the functionality of the formulation of the remedy.
• 1:08:16
That's why restore is recommended in the afternoon between lunch and dinner, when the stomach is more empty. Freedom is recommended in the morning, We've corrected in the morning before you have anything. Don't have it with breakfast. Have it at least half an hour, an hour before breakfast. And the third one should be taken in the evening before going to bed at night.
• 1:08:56
Because if you look at the, I mean, the the herbal ingredients are selected to function most properly at certain pHs, which corresponds to the pH of the intestinal tract at the time we recommend you take this treatment. So it is important when you take the remedies to please observe when do you take them. Some people will take all the three formations together, say, I'll take them all in the morning and get it over with. Bad. You should never do that.
• 1:09:38
Speaker 1: Okay, that's helpful. Okay, that's very helpful. And so I think that we've run through a lot of the questions that I have, I know I've taken a lot of your time. I will pull the website up one more time. So we just have, it's this sethcleanse.com will take you there.
• 1:09:55
And on the website, there's two different things you can do. One is the tests. Even you mentioned the tap water, there's a tap water test here. So if you want have your tap water tested, which is probably important if you're on tap water, then the actual cleanse itself under the supplements, right here. And so it sounds like...
• 1:10:13
I guess that also in terms of the timing of it, because you're doing a ninety... If it's a ninety day, which is what you recommend, and I imagine... Is it something also that as you get older, you probably might have a higher chance of parasites, right? Because if you have some that you haven't dealt with, they just kind of continue to accumulate, right? So would you say that's something more common?
• 1:10:35
And as you get older, is it more likely that you'll have more of a buildup of parasites than when you're younger?
• 1:10:42
Speaker 2: Well, of course, you have longer time of your life of exposure. That's why the damage to parasitic infections occurs. The two most susceptible age groups are children and old people. Old people by virtue of their length of exposure throughout life, and young children by virtue of their susceptibility. They have not developed strong enough immune system to be resilient to parasite infections.
• 1:11:19
One thing that you mentioned about the tests, I think if you click on tests in your screen, you should find the list of the, somewhere around here, there should be a link. Click on the test. View sample report, look at top.
• 1:11:49
Speaker 1: Oh, see. Oh, yes. Yeah. Because I had asked you about this. Okay, right here.
• 1:11:53
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 1:11:57
Speaker 1: So this is showing, This is from a stool analysis. This is kind of what a test would come back with in showing that these are the various parasites that were observed in the stool. Is that correct?
• 1:12:13
Speaker 2: Yes, correct. Yes. I see. Okay.
• 1:12:23
Speaker 1: Yes. This is very, it's very asking comprehensive. Swab
• 1:12:26
Speaker 2: test for the pathogenic bacteria.
• 1:12:28
Speaker 1: Okay, here's a swab test. Okay.
• 1:12:32
Speaker 2: Okay. Is... To the doctor, we provide with every positive test results, summary of findings, which lists the parasites and their symptoms and the pathology, how they are transmitted and how they are treated.
• 1:12:52
  Speaker 1: I see, okay.
• 1:12:53
Speaker 2: Every single parasite that is positive.
• 1:12:56
Speaker 1: And so looking at just the amount of parasites, this is showing a potential in this example, is the cleanse that you developed, does that, will that address most of these parasites?
• 1:13:10
Speaker 2: It will address all of them.
• 1:13:11
  Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
• 1:13:13
Speaker 2: It's comprehensive test, yes.
• 1:13:18
Speaker 1: I see, okay. Okay, so all of these would be addressed with this, okay. Doctor. Amen, I really appreciate the time that you've given us. And, again, I've covered Parasites quite a lot, but I've never had the chance to talk to someone like you that has been doing this for a good chunk of your life.
• 1:13:42
And I do think that it's something that is, you know, is by design not part of the medical system and the treatment protocols here. However, even in my own experience with these I've done Parasite cleanses before. My family uses this one pretty regularly, even like my six year old, my five year old, you know, when was five, she was still taking, she took these. And it's, it's, it's the real deal. There will be, you know, if the good thing maybe is you take it and there's really no reaction, and because maybe it was so minor in you, it wasn't an issue.
• 1:14:13
But I think that people that do have multiple, you know, chronic ailments, you know, soreness, brain fog, all the things that we've talked about, I think it's healthy to expect that there will be that kill off period where you might feel uncomfortable. But it's, I'd say that it's a lot better than getting so sick that you're then hooked up to some IVs and some tubes in the hospital because you couldn't take care of it with your Absolutely. Natural remedy
• 1:14:41
  Speaker 2: Yes.
• 1:14:41
Speaker 1: Yes. Well, you again so much for giving us your time today. Really a pleasure to speak with you.
• 1:14:48
Speaker 2: Pleasure to be with you too.
• 1:14:50
Speaker 1: Thank you. I hope you enjoyed that interview with Doctor. Amen. He's honestly one of the top parasitologists in the entire world. I mean, this guy is the real deal.
• 1:15:02
And I've done parasite Cleanses before, and I can tell you that you do see the results of it. Depends on where your body's at, depends on how long it's been since you've done one or if you've never done one. But, know, the kill off period that he described, that two to three week period at the beginning, you will see things that are happening. Now, it might be a little bit uncomfortable, but that's just a good thing actually, that that discomfort, like the person I referred to that had really itchy skin two or three weeks into it, that's just the process of pushing these things out of your body. Think of it like a detox.
• 1:15:36
A detox is they're not fun. They're actually kind of uncomfortable, but what you're doing is you're removing that bad stuff from your body. Now, what I've found in the past that really helps is when you can do that cleanse together with somebody else. So, before, my wife and I have done it, or, you know, my mom and I are both doing it, and we're able to kind of talk through that process with each other. And also before, typically have done shorter seven or fourteen days, but I like how he recommends that three month, which makes sense, especially if you've never done one and say you're older and you've got achy joints or brain fog or you're, you know, have a lot of tiredness or whatever it is.
• 1:16:12
There's a good chance that these things are just kind of built up and colonized inside of you. And so doing that prolonged one is probably really useful. But in terms of how to do this with somebody else, what we've done before is... So I created a special telegram group called Detox with Seth, and I'll put the link to it. It's a private one that you just can only access through the link.
• 1:16:32
I'll put the link to the group in the show description. And so if you want to do this, cleanse, then let's all do it together. So, I'm gonna order, a thirty day supply, just for my wife and I, at least thirty days, I think. But I'll be doing it, together with any of you that want to join. And so, if you want to try this out, again, the website is just sethcleanse.com, where you can get the cleanse.
• 1:16:59
Again, I'd say recommend at least thirty days, probably ninety days, depending on where you're at. If you want to have your stool tested first, maybe you want to go that route. But I would say that if you've never done a parasite cleanse, and if you've got even some of the symptoms that he's talked about, there's a good chance that you do have some of these things inside of you. So, but if you want to just make sure and see exactly what's going on, the stool test is really helpful. So, anyway, if you want to join this, get the cleanse, join the telegram group, the link will be in the description, and we can just kind of talk through it.
• 1:17:33
Because it's something you want to be able to talk through with somebody. You want to say, Hey, I'm feeling really strange about this, or hey, you know, maybe you have a question about something, like, hey, what about my diet? Do I need make dietary changes or whatever? There's a lot of you that have already done this that are active, in the detox group when we do these together, so it's really great to see that community building around this. And so, anyway, I'll make sure that link is in the description.
• 1:17:55
I would love to see you join us, join the group, get the cleanse, let's do it together, let's share the results. And it's amazing in the past when we've done these group cleanses, because you'll see these comments from people that are saying they've literally had ailments that they've been dealing with for ten, fifteen, twenty years that are going away through this cleanse process. It's actually quite miraculous. And I don't think it's I don't think it's a coincidence that doctors in our country do not talk about these cleanses, because our country is ruled by big pharma. Right?
• 1:18:26
And so the thing is is that if it was simple to cure all these ailments through a parasite cleanse, then you wouldn't be a very good customer for big pharma, would you? And so, again, I think this is why, for a lot of Americans, they have no idea. You say, you know, have you done a parasite cleanse before? It's a strange abstract thing. But it's the real deal.
• 1:18:47
So anyway, I hope you join me. And again, the links are gonna be in the description below. Again, so it's sethcleanse.com is how you get here, and the link for the telegram will be... Telegram group will be in there as well. So I look forward to seeing you in there, and we'll do this together because I guess that's just the stage of life right now.
• 1:19:03
We're cleansing of the parasites, whether it's the political level, the, you know, societal level, or even at the level of our own bodies. Let's get rid of these parasites that are sucking our blood. Alright. See you there.
