- 0:00Speaker 1: Okay, so I came across this debate online and I
- 0:02Speaker 1: feel like it can get really messy. because people have
- 0:05Speaker 1: some really strong opinions about it. So people are basically
- 0:07Speaker 1: saying that we need to stop treating our coworkers like
- 0:11Speaker 1: they're our friends. Like be friendly, go grab drinks after
- 0:15Speaker 1: the fact, but inviting people like into your home, introducing
- 0:18Speaker 1: them to your family, telling them about your relationships is
- 0:21Speaker 1: apparently like a big, big no-no. And like where it
- 0:25Speaker 1: gets interesting is people are saying that this problem isn't
- 0:27Speaker 1: that our coworkers are bad people. It's just that our
- 0:30Speaker 1: coworkers have access to parts of our life that our
- 0:33Speaker 1: regular friends don't. So when things get left, it can
- 0:36Speaker 1: affect our personal life and.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Our work life.
- 0:38Speaker 3: That's, I don't like it.
- 0:40Speaker 4: I get it.
- 0:41Speaker 5: So it's saying like, if you end up getting fired,
- 0:44Speaker 5: it's also like you're losing friends too, or it's like
- 0:46Speaker 5: a way to disassociate.
- 0:48Speaker 6: That could be a way of it.
- 0:49Speaker 1: But like one thing was like your personal business can
- 0:51Speaker 1: become office gossip.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it probably will. It probably will.
- 0:56Speaker 4: I think it depends on the coworker. Um, I really do.
- 0:59Speaker 7: Cause I, uh, many, many years ago before I was
- 1:02Speaker 7: on this show, I was on another show and I
- 1:05Speaker 7: had a situation where I invited everyone over to my
- 1:07Speaker 7: house for a party. And then when they kind of
- 1:09Speaker 7: saw how I live versus how they live, they all
- 1:13Speaker 7: start talking smack and it was just, and it got
- 1:15Speaker 7: so uncomfortable. And I wasn't, I was trying to make
- 1:17Speaker 7: us all friends so we could all gel. I mean,
- 1:20Speaker 7: here's a, here's an example. Like all of you guys
- 1:22Speaker 7: have been to my house, right? I've never been to
- 1:25Speaker 7: Kyle's house.
- 1:26Speaker 2: I haven't invited you.
- 1:27Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Only because I know you won't drive that far.
- 1:30Speaker 3: I've been to Rich's house.
- 1:31Speaker 4: I've been to Peyton's house. I haven't been to Kyle's house.
- 1:34Speaker 4: I thought about that the other day.
- 1:35Speaker 5: And that's out of courtesy because I don't want to
- 1:37Speaker 5: have you drive too far.
- 1:39Speaker 2: You don't like to leave your bubble.
- 1:40Speaker 4: So Kyle follows that rule.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Peyton's been to my house. Rich's daughter's been to my house.
- 1:48Speaker 3: She spent the night. She spent the night in the
- 1:51Speaker 3: ghost room.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Brie, your thoughts on this debate. Go ahead.
- 1:55Speaker 8: Um, well, I got really close with a coworker. I mean,
- 1:59Speaker 8: I introduced her to my whole family. My parents loved her.
- 2:03Speaker 8: She came to holidays, like everything. And then my parents
- 2:07Speaker 8: announced they were getting divorced. And like within three months,
- 2:12Speaker 8: I found out she was sleeping with my dad.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Whoa. Hello. Twist did not see that coming.
- 2:18Speaker 4: That's why you got to really get to know the
- 2:19Speaker 4: coworkers before you buy them over.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Yikes.
- 2:22Speaker 5: What the?
- 2:22Speaker 3: What?
- 2:23Speaker 4: Your dad's like, I'm just trying to support you and
- 2:25Speaker 4: your company.
- 2:25Speaker 3: How does work go after that for you?
- 2:28Speaker 8: She does not work with me anymore because apparently now
- 2:32Speaker 8: she's too busy being my.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Well, you win this round.
- 2:40Speaker 6: Yeah, it's terrible.
- 2:41Speaker 1: No, that's so valid, though, because on here, like it
- 2:43Speaker 1: says another big thing for coworkers is that they can
- 2:46Speaker 1: start infiltrating your personal relationships.
- 2:49Speaker 6: And Brie hit it right, right there.
- 2:51Speaker 3: I don't know. I can't see Peyton or Kyle hook
- 2:53Speaker 3: it up with my dad, Frank.
- 2:59Speaker 9: Wow.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Like this one girl, she said she invited her coworker
- 3:02Speaker 1: to her birthday party. She met her best friend six
- 3:05Speaker 1: months later. She's on a girl trip with her friends
- 3:07Speaker 1: and she wasn't invited.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Oh, that stinks. That happens to me all the time.
- 3:11Speaker 4: That happens to me all the time. That is true.
- 3:15Speaker 7: I've made two people friends with my neighbor and now
- 3:17Speaker 7: they go on trips and helicopters and stuff.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Jeez.
- 3:21Speaker 4: I just see it all the time.
- 3:22Speaker 3: They go on helicopter trips without you?
- 3:23Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Yeah, for real. That's crazy as that sounds. Yes. Thank you. Anna,
- 3:28Speaker 4: good morning. Your thoughts on this debate?
- 3:30Speaker 10: So I became really close with a coworker and she
- 3:35Speaker 10: was at my apartment constantly. And one day my landlord
- 3:39Speaker 10: called me asking like why I was trying to add
- 3:42Speaker 10: someone to my list. I wasn't. And she, I guess,
- 3:46Speaker 10: had emailed him pretending to be me. And basically, she
- 3:50Speaker 10: had decided we were going to live together and wanted
- 3:53Speaker 10: to surprise me once it was approved.
- 3:56Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 3:58Speaker 5: That is, yeah.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I mean, finding out before that actually happened, you dodged
- 4:02Speaker 2: a bullet there.
- 4:03Speaker 3: That's an actual psychopathic move right there.
- 4:06Speaker 5: I kind of feel like if, like, life had sound effects,
- 4:08Speaker 5: you'd hear, reek, reek, reek.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Murderer.
- 4:12Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 4:13Speaker 10: Oh, totally. Obviously I cut her off and everything, but
- 4:17Speaker 10: then I, I, I, I, I have a four page
- 4:22Speaker 10: handwritten letter on my car that basically admits that she
- 4:26Speaker 10: was obsessed with me. It was really crazy. She just
- 4:34Speaker 10: said she like, she thought we were supposed to do
- 4:36Speaker 10: life together.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Oh man.
- 4:38Speaker 9: And you just didn't know it yet. She was just
- 4:40Speaker 9: kind of like, you didn't know it, but once she
- 4:43Speaker 9: introduced the idea, you would be down with it.
- 4:45Speaker 6: I guess we could have been together. So now I'm
- 4:47Speaker 6: going to set your house on fire.
- 4:48Speaker 3: And that is why Kyle has not invited us to
- 4:50Speaker 3: her house.
- 4:51Speaker 4: That's why you need a restraining order on that. You should,
- 4:53Speaker 4: you should have got a restraining order on that girl.
- 4:54Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 4:55Speaker 2: That's scary.
- 4:57Speaker 10: Oh, I, I, so it became so bad that she
- 4:59Speaker 10: started showing at places that like showing up at places
- 5:02Speaker 10: that she knew that I would be.
- 5:03Speaker 6: Oh, heck no.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:06Speaker 10: It was to the point that I had to go
- 5:09Speaker 10: to HR, and I had to literally switch locations at work,
- 5:12Speaker 10: and I literally did get a restraining order against her.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Okay, okay.
- 5:17Speaker 9: I'd almost rather you have somebody sleep with your dad
- 5:19Speaker 9: than what Anna has.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Anna, thanks for calling in. I think you win this round, too.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Totally.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Yeah, thank you.
- 5:29Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 5:45Speaker 2: And everything I've been saying, I'll get it when it
- 5:47Speaker 2: goes on sale.
- 5:48Speaker 6: Did it go on sale?
- 5:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:51Speaker 6: So what was first?
- 5:52Speaker 2: A fall coat.
- 5:53Speaker 5: Like, okay, I've really wanted a good one. But every
- 5:55Speaker 5: time I find one, I'm like, do I really need
- 5:57Speaker 5: another coat?
- 5:58Speaker 6: Well, women's coats are 40 to 60% off.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Right?
- 6:01Speaker 5: See, that's when do I need it becomes.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Like, what color?
- 6:04Speaker 3: Immediately.
- 6:05Speaker 7: And then.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I start looking at the shoes.
- 6:07Speaker 6: Oh gosh, here we go.
- 6:09Speaker 2: New Balance, Birkenstock, Nike Coach. Select styles are literally 60% off. Yeah,
- 6:15Speaker 2: so obviously I need shoes to go with a coat.
- 6:19Speaker 6: Yeah, obviously we are building a whole outfit now.
- 6:22Speaker 2: And that's kind of the problem with this sale.
- 6:24Speaker 5: We're going to start with one thing and then we're
- 6:25Speaker 5: going to be like, wait, what else are we wanting
- 6:28Speaker 5: to buy?
- 6:29Speaker 2: What else have we been wanting to buy?
- 6:30Speaker 6: And you know, I have a list.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Yeah, same.
- 6:33Speaker 6: And Kareem needs some new sweaters.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Scott loves a good watch.
- 6:36Speaker 6: And I've been wanting some really nice cashmere.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Also, I saw the diamonds. Of course you did. I'm
- 6:42Speaker 2: just saying.
- 6:43Speaker 5: There are tennis bracelets and diamond studs there and Scott
- 6:46Speaker 5: listens to the show.
- 6:47Speaker 6: Very subtle of you.
- 6:48Speaker 9: Hint, hint.
- 6:48Speaker 6: And then you get to home.
- 6:51Speaker 2: See, I feel like this is where you can start
- 6:53Speaker 2: to kind of get in trouble.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Because the hotel collection bedding is 65% off. 65?
- 6:59Speaker 9: Yes.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Number one, that is mind blowing. Number two, we have
- 7:04Speaker 2: been talking about getting new bedding forever.
- 7:06Speaker 6: Have you?
- 7:06Speaker 5: Okay.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Well, I've been talking about it.
- 7:09Speaker 8: Yeah, there it is.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, that's what I mean, though. It's like clothes, jewelry, beauty, home, shoes.
- 7:17Speaker 1: It really is a bunch of sales happening at the
- 7:20Speaker 1: same exact time.
- 7:20Speaker 5: And thousands of deals are at the lowest prices of
- 7:24Speaker 5: the season.
- 7:24Speaker 6: So all of those.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Things that you said you'd buy when they finally went
- 7:27Speaker 1: on sale?
- 7:28Speaker 5: Yeah, apparently they went on sale. So there is your sign.
- 7:32Speaker 5: There's all of our signs to not miss Macy's biggest
- 7:36Speaker 5: fall sale, October 14th through the 25th.
- 7:38Speaker 6: I'll definitely be there.
