- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Katherine Rumler appeared before Congress yesterday, where she
- 0:10Speaker 1: talked about her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. And let's just
- 0:15Speaker 1: say that the congressional members who are present for her
- 0:18Speaker 1: testimony weren't exactly confident that she was telling us the truth.
- 0:23Speaker 1: I know, very difficult to believe that another Epstein Adjason
- 0:28Speaker 1: enabler would be lying to us. But here we are today.
- 0:32Speaker 1: We have an article from The Independent and the headline
- 0:35Speaker 1: lawmakers say they don't buy testimony from Goldman Sachs lawyer
- 0:38Speaker 1: who called Epstein uncle Jeffrey. This article was authored by
- 0:44Speaker 1: Joey Cappeletti. Katherine Rumler faced blistering criticism on Capitol Hill
- 0:50Speaker 1: Wednesday after lawmakers accused the former Goldman Sachs executive and
- 0:55Speaker 1: Obama White House Council of downplaying her relationship with disgraced
- 0:59Speaker 1: finance pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Well, no shit, no shit. Like
- 1:05Speaker 1: everybody else, I'm surprised she didn't call him Jekyl and Hyde.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Isn't that the statement that's going around in the playbook.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Oh well, he was Jeckel and Hyde, and I didn't
- 1:14Speaker 1: know the bad part of him, only the good side,
- 1:17Speaker 1: breaking news. There was no good side, Okay, no good side.
- 1:22Speaker 1: The guy was an absolute degenerate, a piece of shit,
- 1:24Speaker 1: a human trafficker, a gun smuggler, a money launderer, and
- 1:28Speaker 1: an all around scumbag. Does that cover it for everybody
- 1:31Speaker 1: out there? Democrats emerged from the closed door interview saying
- 1:36Speaker 1: they did not believe Rumler had been fully candid about
- 1:39Speaker 1: her ties to Epstein. Well, that opens up a lot
- 1:42Speaker 1: of doors. What was she doing while she was Obama's counsel.
- 1:46Speaker 1: People don't want to talk about it, but I do
- 1:50Speaker 1: because I have no golden cows. There's nobody here that
- 1:54Speaker 1: I want to protect. And the Obama administration they look
- 1:58Speaker 1: the other way, just like every other administministration since the
- 2:01Speaker 1: first Clinton administration, all of them Republican and Democrat. And
- 2:06Speaker 1: that's just the truth. There was plenty of opportunity to
- 2:11Speaker 1: stop Jeffrey Epstein along the way, and instead of stopping him,
- 2:14Speaker 1: and people like Rumler help them. It's difficult to see
- 2:19Speaker 1: how she's being completely truthful in there with the answers
- 2:22Speaker 1: she's given The Committee Representative Robert Garcia, the Committee stopped
- 2:25Speaker 1: Democrat told reporters, well, yeah, she was never going to
- 2:28Speaker 1: be truthful. None of these people are, and why should
- 2:32Speaker 1: they be. They know the score. What are they gonna
- 2:34Speaker 1: be held accountable? What's Congress going to do their job
- 2:38Speaker 1: and hold them in contempt? No, they're not. They're gonna
- 2:41Speaker 1: let them lie. They're gonna let them say whatever they
- 2:43Speaker 1: want and then they'll issue a strongly worded letter or
- 2:47Speaker 1: something like that. There is no teeth and everybody knows it.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I know it, You know it, everybody knows it. For
- 2:55Speaker 1: her to deny that there was any type of real
- 2:57Speaker 1: relationship there, I just don't buy it, Garcias said. He
- 3:01Speaker 1: also criticized the fact that Rumler's interview was not conducted
- 3:04Speaker 1: under oath. Again, what's the point, Like, come on, we're
- 3:08Speaker 1: wasting time, we're wasting resources, and enough is enough. James Comer,
- 3:14Speaker 1: you're a clown. The members of the GOP Investigation Committee
- 3:18Speaker 1: they're clowns too. And frankly, the harm that they're doing
- 3:21Speaker 1: to the brand of the GOP is going to have
- 3:24Speaker 1: long lasting effects. Things are all rosy now, but guess what,
- 3:29Speaker 1: Donald Trump isn't going to be president forever. Keep that
- 3:31Speaker 1: in mind, and the people that you're shitting on right now.
- 3:34Speaker 1: The independence, the people that lean right, real conservatives, those
- 3:39Speaker 1: are the people that you're gonna need to win elections.
- 3:41Speaker 1: And I gotta tell you, with all this bullshit, those
- 3:46Speaker 1: people don't want to vote for Republicans now. Of course,
- 3:49Speaker 1: you're gonna get the base right, you're gonna get the hardcore, maga,
- 3:51Speaker 1: et cetera. They're gonna vote. But I'm talking about the
- 3:55Speaker 1: fifteen to twenty percent that moves the needle. The people
- 3:59Speaker 1: that won Donald Trump the election last time around. They're
- 4:02Speaker 1: paying attention to what's going on right now, and all
- 4:05Speaker 1: the influencers, all the gas lighting, all the narratives, aren't
- 4:09Speaker 1: going to change the facts. House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer,
- 4:14Speaker 1: a Republican, said the most troubling aspect of Rumler's dealings
- 4:17Speaker 1: with Epstein was her alleged effort to help rehabilitate his
- 4:21Speaker 1: public image after his conviction for soliciting a minor. You
- 4:24Speaker 1: mean the same thing that everybody else did. That's what
- 4:27Speaker 1: they all did, mister Comer. Maybe if you would have
- 4:32Speaker 1: went and talked to Las Wexner, you would have found out.
- 4:34Speaker 1: But I guess you were too busy that day Rumler
- 4:37Speaker 1: is one of a growing list of high profile figures
- 4:39Speaker 1: questioned by lawmakers investigating Epstein's network of wealthy and influential associates.
- 4:45Speaker 1: The bipartisan inquiry has already included testimony from figures including
- 4:50Speaker 1: Bill Gates and former President Bill Clinton. And we've learned nothing.
- 4:54Speaker 1: What exactly have we learned that we didn't know? Sarah
- 4:59Speaker 1: Kellen told us a coup things. But do you believe her?
- 5:02Speaker 1: I know that in the wake of all of that,
- 5:04Speaker 1: people were like, Oh, Sarah Kellen, she's a victim too.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I'm not sure how much of that I believe, to
- 5:09Speaker 1: be honest with you, Okay, Now, was she victimized? No doubt.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Is she a victim in the same category as the
- 5:16Speaker 1: other girls, Well, in my opinion, no, Obviously that's for
- 5:21Speaker 1: everybody to decide for themselves. But in my opinion, when
- 5:24Speaker 1: you get to a certain age and then you stick
- 5:26Speaker 1: around for all that time, I have questions. Even after
- 5:33Speaker 1: the guy was arrested, you can't say you still fear
- 5:35Speaker 1: him when he's in prison, Like that would have been
- 5:39Speaker 1: the time the tide was turning. Epstein was arrested. They
- 5:42Speaker 1: could have come forward then and told everything they knew,
- 5:45Speaker 1: but they didn't do it, did they. She waited until
- 5:49Speaker 1: she was subpoenad or was gonna get subpoenaed by Congress,
- 5:52Speaker 1: and then comes there voluntarily give me a break. In
- 5:57Speaker 1: opening remarks, Rumler acknowledged that associating Ebstein was a mistake,
- 6:01Speaker 1: but insisted she never witnessed criminal conduct. Epstein used me
- 6:05Speaker 1: and other respectable people to legitimize his standing. She told lawmakers, Well,
- 6:11Speaker 1: if he used you to legitimize his standing, maybe you're
- 6:14Speaker 1: not as respectable as you thought you were, Miss Rumler,
- 6:18Speaker 1: you scoundrel. Her spokeswoman, Jennifer Conley, pushed back on the criticism,
- 6:23Speaker 1: saying Rumler testified openly and truthfully for six hours and
- 6:27Speaker 1: answered every question the committee asked. Does she want applause?
- 6:31Speaker 1: Should I stand up and clap like a seal? The fuck?
- 6:34Speaker 1: Does she want cool? You ain't answered some questions. You
- 6:37Speaker 1: should have told people this years ago, but no, you
- 6:40Speaker 1: hit it. You thought nobody would ever know about your
- 6:42Speaker 1: relationship with Ebstein. That's why you kept it quiet. But
- 6:46Speaker 1: guess what, it's not only people like me that know now,
- 6:49Speaker 1: Miss Rumler. The whole world knows. And I think the
- 6:53Speaker 1: verdict is in everybody's disgusted with you, But thousands of
- 6:58Speaker 1: Justice Department documents have painted a far closer relationship than
- 7:01Speaker 1: Rumler has more recently described. The records include personal emails,
- 7:06Speaker 1: social plans, and gifts that extended beyond legal work. In
- 7:10Speaker 1: some messages of Rumler referred to Epstein as Uncle Jeffrey
- 7:13Speaker 1: and wrote that she adored him. I didn't really know him,
- 7:16Speaker 1: but I called him Uncle Jeffrey and I adored him
- 7:18Speaker 1: at the same time. Can somebody please wake me up
- 7:23Speaker 1: from this nightmare? This can't be real life, right, Like,
- 7:27Speaker 1: are we in a simulation I don't know about, because
- 7:30Speaker 1: there's no way that this is reality, right. They can't
- 7:33Speaker 1: possibly believe that. We're gonna believe this shit. Rumler said
- 7:36Speaker 1: she first met Epstein in twenty fourteen while discussing potential
- 7:40Speaker 1: donor advise fund involving Epstein and Bill Gates. She testified
- 7:44Speaker 1: that she later learned of Epstein's two thousand and eight
- 7:47Speaker 1: conviction and said she expressed remorse, telling her he did
- 7:50Speaker 1: not know the girls involved or under age. So you
- 7:53Speaker 1: just listened to him. Just trust him. You're a lawyer.
- 7:57Speaker 1: You don't go read the case docket. It was available.
- 8:00Speaker 1: You don't reach out and say, hey, look, what's the
- 8:02Speaker 1: deal with this guy, and what's the real story behind
- 8:04Speaker 1: what he did? No, let's just take him at face value. Well,
- 8:08Speaker 1: guess what, Ms Rumler, you might want to take people
- 8:11Speaker 1: at face value. I'm not going to. So I don't
- 8:14Speaker 1: believe you. I think you know more, and I think
- 8:17Speaker 1: that you and Jeffrey Epstein were a lot closer than
- 8:20Speaker 1: you've ever let on. Rumler said she accepted the criminal
- 8:24Speaker 1: case as a final legal resolution reached by prosecutors and
- 8:27Speaker 1: approved by a judge. And this is another big problem.
- 8:30Speaker 1: All these people refer back to what happened in Florida,
- 8:33Speaker 1: and that's why the situation in Florida is such a
- 8:35Speaker 1: big deal, and that's why the NPA should be thrown
- 8:38Speaker 1: out because it no longer gives them that defense. Oh well, Epstein,
- 8:42Speaker 1: he was investigated down in Florida and they found out
- 8:45Speaker 1: it was just, you know, solicitation of a prostataute. That's
- 8:49Speaker 1: the kind of bullshit they tell you to try and
- 8:51Speaker 1: make it seem like it's not that big of a deal. Well,
- 8:53Speaker 1: I assure you it's a big deal. And Jeffrey Epstein
- 8:56Speaker 1: was molesting little girls. Is that clear enough for everybody
- 8:59Speaker 1: out there, for cash Betel, for j d Vance, for
- 9:03Speaker 1: any of these fucking stupid influencers that think they know
- 9:06Speaker 1: what they're talking about. Bunch of fucking knuckleheads. The Epstein
- 9:10Speaker 1: investigation continues to widen. Billionaire investor Leon Black is scheduled
- 9:14Speaker 1: to sit for a formal deposition on September third, after
- 9:17Speaker 1: being subpoenaed by the committee. Comer also said lawmakers expect
- 9:21Speaker 1: to receive Blacks non disclosure agreements by the end of
- 9:25Speaker 1: the week. Well isn't that nice, good old Leon Black
- 9:28Speaker 1: finally going to be truthful? Said nobody. Ever, The Committee
- 9:32Speaker 1: has also signaled it wants to question Acting Attorney General
- 9:35Speaker 1: Todd Blanche, whom former Attorney General Pam Bondi identified as
- 9:40Speaker 1: a Justice Department official overseeing the release of the Epstein
- 9:44Speaker 1: related files. Buffoonery at its finest. Has there ever been
- 9:49Speaker 1: a bigger buffoon than Todd Blanche as the Attorney General?
- 9:53Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, Merrick Garland was quite the tool,
- 9:56Speaker 1: but Todd Blanche, he takes it to a different level.
- 9:59Speaker 1: And remember it's not illegal. The party with Jeffrey Epstein. Meanwhile,
- 10:05Speaker 1: Vice President Jay d Vance acknowledged during a podcast interview
- 10:08Speaker 1: with Joe Rogan that the administration had absolutely mishandled its
- 10:11Speaker 1: public messaging surrounding the Epstein files, directing much of the
- 10:15Speaker 1: criticism toward Bondi, who had previously suggested an alleged Epstein
- 10:20Speaker 1: client list was on her desk. Well, she's not in
- 10:23Speaker 1: the administration anymore. Easiest personal blame. And if Jay d
- 10:26Speaker 1: Vance wants a blame Bondy, cool me. Personally. Bondy certainly
- 10:31Speaker 1: has her role, but let's not act like she wasn't
- 10:33Speaker 1: directed from on high. Let's not act like Donald Trump's
- 10:37Speaker 1: not the man calling the shots, because he is. And
- 10:40Speaker 1: as far as Katherine Rumler goes, my opinion, she was lying,
- 10:44Speaker 1: and I think that the facts that we know back
- 10:46Speaker 1: that up. So again, we'll have to wait for the
- 10:49Speaker 1: full transcript to be released so we can see exactly
- 10:52Speaker 1: what she said. But according to the initial talk from
- 10:55Speaker 1: people that were in the room, it's not looking so
- 10:58Speaker 1: great for miss Rumler. And once those transcripts are available,
- 11:02Speaker 1: will get those added to the catalog as well. All
- 11:05Speaker 1: the information that goes with this episode can be found
- 11:08Speaker 1: in the description box.
