- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your early what he praise party. I am a
- 0:02Speaker 1: Sherry Mackie at its time, right now for today's word
- 0:07Speaker 1: faithful in the waiting Proverbs twenty eight twenty says a
- 0:13Speaker 1: faithful person will be richly blessed. You know, sometimes the
- 0:18Speaker 1: hardest season isn't the season of struggle, is the season
- 0:21Speaker 1: of waiting. You know there's more inside of you. You
- 0:24Speaker 1: know God has placed gifts, dreams, talents, and potential within you. You
- 0:29Speaker 1: can sense that your call to something greater, but your
- 0:32Speaker 1: current circumstances don't seem to match what you see on
- 0:35Speaker 1: the inside. You may find yourself asking God, when is
- 0:39Speaker 1: it going to be my turn? But don't despise the
- 0:43Speaker 1: ordinary days. David was anointed by the prophet Samuel to
- 0:47Speaker 1: become the future king of Israel. You would think that
- 0:50Speaker 1: after receiving such a powerful promise, David would immediately move
- 0:54Speaker 1: into the palace and sit on the throne. But that's
- 0:57Speaker 1: not what happened. After David was anointed, he went right
- 1:01Speaker 1: back to the shepherd's field. He went from being anointed
- 1:05Speaker 1: for a throne to watching sheeps. See It's probably didn't
- 1:10Speaker 1: feel like progress, it didn't look like destiny. It didn't
- 1:13Speaker 1: look like anything. It just looked ordinary. But David didn't complain.
- 1:17Speaker 1: He didn't say I'm too important for this sheep. Work now.
- 1:21Speaker 1: He didn't stop working because nobody was watching. He didn't
- 1:24Speaker 1: become bitter because someone else was sitting on the throne.
- 1:27Speaker 1: He had been promised. David was faithful in the field.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Come on, Jesus. He protected the sheep, he served the sheep.
- 1:35Speaker 1: He developed courage, he learned how to fight. He worshiped God,
- 1:38Speaker 1: and in those quiet, unseen years, God was preparing him
- 1:43Speaker 1: for the public assignment that was coming. David's ordinary days
- 1:47Speaker 1: were actually his preparation days. The same may be true
- 1:51Speaker 1: for you and me. Maybe you're doing something right now
- 1:54Speaker 1: that feels beneath your potential. Maybe you're in a job
- 1:57Speaker 1: that doesn't fully use your gifts. Maybe you're serving behind
- 2:00Speaker 1: the scenes while someone else gets the recognition. Maybe you're
- 2:04Speaker 1: faithfully handling responsibility. Does that seem small and insignificant? Don't
- 2:08Speaker 1: you become discouraged? God sees you. He sees the work
- 2:13Speaker 1: nobody applies. He sees as sacrifices nobody recognizes. He sees
- 2:17Speaker 1: you showing up when you don't feel like it. He
- 2:20Speaker 1: sees you choosing integrity when compromise would be easier. He
- 2:24Speaker 1: sees you keeping a good attitude when life hasn't gone
- 2:27Speaker 1: the way you planned. Your current location does not cancel
- 2:31Speaker 1: your future. Your naughty will eventually take you where your
- 2:35Speaker 1: present circumstances cannot. But before God puts you in the foreground,
- 2:40Speaker 1: he often watches how you handle the background because extraordinary
- 2:45Speaker 1: opportunities are usually built on ordinary faithfulness. The Bible says
- 2:50Speaker 1: a faithful person will be ritually blessed. So be faithful today,
- 2:54Speaker 1: Be excellent today, Serve with joy today, give your best today,
- 2:58Speaker 1: Love people today, take care of what God has placed
- 3:01Speaker 1: in your hands. Today. You may feel like you're stuck
- 3:04Speaker 1: in the shepherd's field, but God may be using this
- 3:06Speaker 1: very season to prepare you for the throne. Come on, Jesus,
- 3:10Speaker 1: one day David went from ten day sheep to leading
- 3:12Speaker 1: a dation, And when your a point of time comes,
- 3:16Speaker 1: God knows how to move you from the background to
- 3:18Speaker 1: the foreground. The ordinary days are not wasted day's, they
- 3:21Speaker 1: are preparation days for exceptional days. So keep going, keep growing,
- 3:26Speaker 1: and keep being faithful. Your throne may be closer than
- 3:29Speaker 1: you think. Father, Thank you for every season of our lives,
- 3:32Speaker 1: including the ordinary days when we feel unseen, overlooked, and
- 3:36Speaker 1: as though we're not making progress. Help us to remember
- 3:39Speaker 1: that you're always working behind the scenes, preparing us for
- 3:43Speaker 1: everything you called us to do. Give us a grace
- 3:46Speaker 1: to be faithful in the routine, excellent in the small things,
- 3:49Speaker 1: and joyful even when no one's watching. Keep us from
- 3:52Speaker 1: becoming discouraged because of our current circumstances don't look like
- 3:57Speaker 1: our future. God, we trust that your timing is perfect,
- 4:01Speaker 1: and we believe that every faithful step we take is
- 4:04Speaker 1: preparing us for exceptional things ahead. In Jesus' name, Amen,
- 4:08Speaker 1: that's your word for today's take and applied to your
- 4:10Speaker 1: everyday life, and you continue to be encouraged at and inspired.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I'm the early morning praise party with me, your girl,
