- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, I'm Brandan from Weedis.
- 0:01Speaker 2: I'm coming down to Australia in January of twenty twenty
- 0:04Speaker 2: five to tour the Dirt Bags across Australia tour. Except
- 0:08Speaker 2: that's a bit we have to say around Australia because
- 0:11Speaker 2: you can't go across Australia you'll die in the desert.
- 0:14Speaker 3: You know.
- 0:15Speaker 1: We know this.
- 0:16Speaker 2: We've been there enough times so you know, you know.
- 0:20Speaker 2: But we've done it in the States. We've done all
- 0:22Speaker 2: myself and Gabrielle, my opening act and partner, and she's
- 0:26Speaker 2: also in Wedis and so on. But she's been opening
- 0:31Speaker 2: for me across the whole United States, all lower forty
- 0:33Speaker 2: eight states. And on the way down to you guys,
- 0:36Speaker 2: we're stopping in Hawaii to make it fifty or forty
- 0:40Speaker 2: nine rather see I can't count musicians.
- 0:43Speaker 1: But.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Forty nine state is the day before we go to
- 0:48Speaker 2: you and then we go to Australia. You guys are
- 0:49Speaker 2: actually the fiftieth state.
- 0:51Speaker 1: So really you know that's how we're doing.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we're still we're still good.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Thanks for joining us today. It's pleasure to chat with you.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Thanks for having me, man appreciate it.
- 1:05Speaker 3: And also as you mentioned mate.
- 1:07Speaker 4: You are back in Australia over January and February next
- 1:09Speaker 4: year for the Acoustic Dirt Bag across Australia tour started
- 1:13Speaker 4: happening in the ninety That goes pretty much everywhere across Australia,
- 1:17Speaker 4: as you say, mate, and finishes up in Talkey on
- 1:19Speaker 4: February the second.
- 1:20Speaker 3: So that's my storing side of my actual trouble side.
- 1:23Speaker 3: It sounds like a lot of fun.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Oh, it's going to be a blast.
- 1:26Speaker 2: We did it last year. I did it opening up
- 1:28Speaker 2: for alex Akis from Everclear and and we then a
- 1:32Speaker 2: few months later we came back and did the Pandemonium
- 1:37Speaker 2: Festival opening for Blondie and Alice Cooper and Psik Furs
- 1:42Speaker 2: and Cosmic Sakos and wolf Mother were.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Also on that bild That was a fun one. That
- 1:48Speaker 1: was a real trip.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Yeah, that was you say, mate, like you've already been
- 1:51Speaker 4: his wife this year in twenty twenty four, back again
- 1:54Speaker 4: early twenty twenty five, so that's three times in twelve months.
- 1:57Speaker 3: You just leave yourself a go bag at the airport
- 1:59Speaker 3: or sort of.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah, we have a little uh, there's a little flat
- 2:05Speaker 2: where we stay in Manly Vale, you know, and we
- 2:07Speaker 2: just show up, we make a little bit of curry,
- 2:10Speaker 2: we get our we get our sleep on for twenty
- 2:11Speaker 2: four hours and then we head out. You know.
- 2:13Speaker 1: It's like it's like we call it hubbing, is it?
- 2:18Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 2:19Speaker 1: We love Australia.
- 2:20Speaker 2: As you may know, Australia was the first place that
- 2:23Speaker 2: embraced teenage shirt bag in the whole world. First place
- 2:27Speaker 2: we had a hit with it, first place we were
- 2:29Speaker 2: able to go over steas and do some touring. I
- 2:32Speaker 2: mean the day before you you made it something, we
- 2:35Speaker 2: were playing in front of two people in Lawrence, Kansas
- 2:37Speaker 2: who thought we were smash mouth.
- 2:38Speaker 1: So you know, you you you brought us to a
- 2:40Speaker 1: new place and we're forever grateful.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Serious Jike, No, that's real news.
- 2:45Speaker 1: That's real news. That's real news.
- 2:47Speaker 3: That's it. You think that Australia, you know what, you
- 2:53Speaker 3: just love you so much.
- 2:54Speaker 4: I might like you've got to send Shikima similar way
- 2:57Speaker 4: else because Virald just it'sreks, like give a fuck?
- 3:00Speaker 3: Yeah, do we connect me? The roads of the music
- 3:04Speaker 3: a combination.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Uh, the combination. I mean I learned this from Akadaca.
- 3:08Speaker 2: You take the music very seriously. You do not take
- 3:10Speaker 2: yourself seriously at all that's that's the formula, you know.
- 3:14Speaker 2: So uh, I mean I I I've loved Angus since
- 3:19Speaker 2: I was nine years old and and uh yeah, you know,
- 3:22Speaker 2: he's an example to me of how to do it right.
- 3:24Speaker 1: And uh, you know, it's a different world these days.
- 3:26Speaker 2: It's uh not everybody gets their their shot at an
- 3:30Speaker 2: arena rock the way that they the way that they
- 3:32Speaker 2: did it. But you know, it's a it's it's a
- 3:35Speaker 2: forever example. And I always thought to myself when I
- 3:37Speaker 2: was a little kid watching him on TV, man, if
- 3:39Speaker 2: I could do any version of that, I'll be okay,
- 3:42Speaker 2: that would be a good life.
- 3:43Speaker 1: And it is. I'll tell you what.
- 3:45Speaker 4: So does that mean to begin to get a strip
- 3:47Speaker 4: back acoustic version of Thunderstruck?
- 3:50Speaker 1: No?
- 3:50Speaker 2: No, but uh possibly something off powerage.
- 3:56Speaker 4: It's actually along those launch by like what can we
- 3:58Speaker 4: expect from you? Like at he with all my from
- 4:01Speaker 4: ever Clay you've done the wait it's full show of
- 4:03Speaker 4: it you acoustically low what can we expeak?
- 4:06Speaker 1: So we developed it myself and Gabrielle. We developed it
- 4:09Speaker 1: over the course of a year.
- 4:10Speaker 2: And really what it is is we're telling the whole
- 4:12Speaker 2: story of the song. We're taking requests. By the way,
- 4:14Speaker 2: there's no set list. You call them, we play them.
- 4:16Speaker 2: That's how it works. And essentially we tell we tell
- 4:19Speaker 2: the story of how the song came to be. And
- 4:21Speaker 2: there's a lot of people out there who you know,
- 4:24Speaker 2: in addition to the teenage dirt bag click, which is
- 4:26Speaker 2: we love those people, but there's some people who've been
- 4:28Speaker 2: waiting to hear songs on our other.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Records for years and years and years and never got
- 4:31Speaker 1: the chance.
- 4:32Speaker 2: And so not only are you going to get the
- 4:33Speaker 2: chance to call the one they want and hear me
- 4:35Speaker 2: play it, but also I'll explain it to him, see
- 4:38Speaker 2: what was going on at the time, where it came from,
- 4:41Speaker 2: what the thought process was, how it evolved, anything they
- 4:44Speaker 2: want to know, really and just have a real you know,
- 4:48Speaker 2: no rules, kind of just conversational story based set based
- 4:56Speaker 2: on based.
- 4:56Speaker 1: In what you guys want. You know, you call it,
- 4:58Speaker 1: we play it, we talk about it.
- 5:01Speaker 4: The crowded obviously love that because they're getting to sign
- 5:03Speaker 4: what you buy it. From your perspective, Jay By, well
- 5:05Speaker 4: that must be great because you get different to your course.
- 5:07Speaker 4: You're gonna have your call songs that you'd actually be
- 5:10Speaker 4: reliving that whole process night off to night, wouldn't you
- 5:13Speaker 4: People ask you about.
- 5:14Speaker 1: It, Yeah, because you can't rehearse it.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I mean, you can rehearse the song, but you can't
- 5:18Speaker 2: rehearse remembering the story because you don't know which one is.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Coming that night.
- 5:21Speaker 2: So you got to be on your toes and you know,
- 5:24Speaker 2: be honest and and go back into your memory right
- 5:27Speaker 2: in front of people, right then and there as if
- 5:30Speaker 2: you're on.
- 5:30Speaker 1: The spot, you know.
- 5:31Speaker 2: And that's and that's the that's the glory of it.
- 5:32Speaker 2: We love doing that. That's a much more interesting show.
- 5:35Speaker 2: The other thing is I never really liked the idea
- 5:38Speaker 2: as an artist of showing up and telling people these
- 5:41Speaker 2: are the songs on the setlist that you're gonna hear tonight.
- 5:44Speaker 1: That's it, you know. I never I never felt good
- 5:47Speaker 1: about that.
- 5:47Speaker 2: I felt like, well, what if that's not the kind
- 5:49Speaker 2: of set that they need that night? You know what
- 5:51Speaker 2: if they need something else. They're always going to get
- 5:53Speaker 2: their teenage jar bag and their lemonade and their leroy
- 5:55Speaker 2: than the little respect. That's always gonna happen. That's a guarantee.
- 5:58Speaker 1: But you know, Phil, in the rest of the show, the.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Emotional content, the way people remember it, for the rest
- 6:03Speaker 2: of their lives.
- 6:04Speaker 1: That's kind of a thing I think they should determine.
- 6:07Speaker 2: They should they should call that shot right, because what
- 6:10Speaker 2: if they didn't have the kind of day that I had.
- 6:12Speaker 2: It's more important what kind of day they had. It's
- 6:14Speaker 2: more important what they're going through, what they're thinking of
- 6:16Speaker 2: right now, and that's that always makes the show much more.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I would call it customized.
- 6:22Speaker 2: You know, it's like a It's like a customized show
- 6:25Speaker 2: for that particular audience.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Couldn't happen another way.
- 6:27Speaker 2: It's not gonna happen another way any other night.
- 6:30Speaker 4: That's it.
- 6:31Speaker 1: You know, it's their show.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Have you ever been court all it's anyone ever caught
- 6:35Speaker 4: out a song and you just like drawed a blank
- 6:36Speaker 4: and just.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Got like, no, no, never never drawn a blank on
- 6:42Speaker 2: one of my own songs.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Up flubbs some I made some.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I made some I made some clams on stage in
- 6:47Speaker 2: front of people instead instead of playing a song. But
- 6:49Speaker 2: I'll get through it, you know, I'll figure it out.
- 6:51Speaker 2: We have the whole month of December to really work
- 6:53Speaker 2: over the catalog and make sure we know what we're doing.
- 6:55Speaker 1: So you know we're gonna be doing that.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Myself and Guyriel, it's it's it's just an exercise and
- 7:02Speaker 2: knowing your ship.
- 7:03Speaker 1: You know, you wrote it, you know, don't you know
- 7:06Speaker 1: what to play it. It's kind of like you know,
- 7:09Speaker 1: that's that's it. I mean, you know this responsibility time.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Time you mentioned like when the crowd's sitting it out
- 7:18Speaker 4: to you, like you're getting set list tail into how
- 7:20Speaker 4: they're feeling on the night and what they're expressing. But
- 7:23Speaker 4: from your point of view, bro, like just say you
- 7:25Speaker 4: turned up for a show and you've had a shitty day.
- 7:27Speaker 3: You don't seem you can't get into it.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Like what do you actually do to psych yourself up
- 7:32Speaker 4: and make sure you still put on a good show.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Yeah, And and.
- 7:43Speaker 2: In Pennsylvania two nights ago. The night before that, I
- 7:45Speaker 2: was in hospital for for twelve hours with diverticulatus because
- 7:49Speaker 2: I'm an old man.
- 7:50Speaker 1: But you know, we you know, we rehearsed the next day.
- 7:55Speaker 2: A little bit in the afternoon, I was limping around
- 7:59Speaker 2: and I drove the band and the van and trailed
- 8:02Speaker 2: to Pennsylvania.
- 8:03Speaker 1: We loaded it up and drove it to Pennsylvania, and I.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Walked around the venue just looking people in the eye, saying,
- 8:10Speaker 2: what do you want to hear what kind of what
- 8:11Speaker 2: kind of night you want this to be and getting
- 8:14Speaker 2: a picture of what, you know, what they were, what
- 8:15Speaker 2: they were vibing, and that that brought me up to
- 8:17Speaker 2: a level where like, Okay, this is what they want,
- 8:20Speaker 2: you know, and if it's that clear, it kind of
- 8:23Speaker 2: feeds the adrenaline in a very specific way.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Right, instead of just like I'll just get up there
- 8:28Speaker 1: and wing it.
- 8:29Speaker 2: That's not You're you're communicating with people, You're having a
- 8:32Speaker 2: conversation and you know you're gonna you're gonna let them
- 8:36Speaker 2: tell you how to do it. And that's that's what
- 8:38Speaker 2: brings me to that level, even no matter how shitty
- 8:41Speaker 2: I don't feeling.
- 8:42Speaker 3: You know, now you mentioned that you've got your partner
- 8:45Speaker 3: Gabrielle with you.
- 8:46Speaker 4: I just want to throw a hypothetical question out you here,
- 8:48Speaker 4: like just say, just before the gig, you could get
- 8:50Speaker 4: to put the toilet set up and she's got the
- 8:52Speaker 4: ships when she comes out, But.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Does that affect the dynamics of the performance.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Listen, I have never left the toilet's feed up and
- 8:59Speaker 2: I never will.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I don't do that.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Man, Put that fucking toilet seat down, you slob motherfuckers.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I'm calling all guys out on this right now, right here.
- 9:07Speaker 1: You could put that seat down. You need to put
- 9:09Speaker 1: that seat down.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Disgusting the roll out. Put your fucking toilet seat.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Can fucking how hard does it? Grow up your fucking slobs.
- 9:24Speaker 3: You won't say good.
- 9:25Speaker 4: The original Faunidy member and guitarists from Waders is now
- 9:30Speaker 4: with the Chats Price. He joined you ontour mat So
- 9:33Speaker 4: is he just doing his own thing or is he
- 9:34Speaker 4: going to be playing with you?
- 9:36Speaker 2: He know he's gonna be doing his own thing, which
- 9:38Speaker 2: I'm quite looking forward to. You know, he's a friend
- 9:41Speaker 2: of a friend down there and as everybody is in
- 9:44Speaker 2: the Australian music industry, and you know, we wanted to
- 9:47Speaker 2: have him come out and do his thing and I'm
- 9:50Speaker 2: looking forward to it. Man. You know it's going to
- 9:52Speaker 2: be a variety show because he's nothing like Gabriel and
- 9:55Speaker 2: Gabriel is nothing like me.
- 9:57Speaker 1: And then we have the weedst show, so it's you know,
- 9:59Speaker 1: it's fun. It's gonna be fun.
- 10:01Speaker 4: You must be a nice guy, though, bright like you
- 10:03Speaker 4: tour it with your pond and you've got an expand
- 10:05Speaker 4: bye playing with you. Most musicians just hate each other
- 10:08Speaker 4: when they finished off, but you see everyone see it's
- 10:11Speaker 4: love you.
- 10:11Speaker 3: What's going on.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Well, we've had well I think it counts up above
- 10:16Speaker 2: thirty now members we've had in this band, touring members, and.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I have to say that what it's really based.
- 10:22Speaker 2: On is just looking out for each other on the
- 10:24Speaker 2: road and being respectful. We're not that into the whole
- 10:27Speaker 2: party scene. No drugs, no alcohol really take have ever
- 10:30Speaker 2: taken us over, And you know it kind of it's
- 10:34Speaker 2: about surviving and knowing that you want everybody to be
- 10:37Speaker 2: happy they showed up. And that goes for your band too.
- 10:40Speaker 2: I mean, you know, if the band isn't.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Happy, eventually you got a problem.
- 10:46Speaker 2: And you know you can't do it if everyone's pissed
- 10:50Speaker 2: off and feels taken advantage of any of that stuff.
- 10:52Speaker 1: So you kind of kind of kind of keep that
- 10:54Speaker 1: to a minimum.
- 10:55Speaker 2: And you know the Carle was in in the band
- 10:58Speaker 2: in two thousand and seven, two thousand and eight, two
- 11:01Speaker 2: thousand and nine, twenty ten, some really tough touring that
- 11:04Speaker 2: she did with us, Carl Bruce from Cranella. She's she's
- 11:08Speaker 2: going to be joining us for this one because she's
- 11:10Speaker 2: back in Australia these days. But We're so excited to
- 11:13Speaker 2: see her because we were really did the time together.
- 11:16Speaker 2: You know, we really did some hard time together in
- 11:19Speaker 2: some hard clubs and some dark years where there wasn't
- 11:22Speaker 2: anybody really paying attention, and we made those records together
- 11:25Speaker 2: during that time and did those tours together. And it's
- 11:27Speaker 2: really nice to be able to do something with her
- 11:29Speaker 2: like this where it's like a little bit more, you know,
- 11:31Speaker 2: things are stabilized a little bit if you will, you know.
- 11:34Speaker 2: So it's kind of like we're both looking forward to
- 11:37Speaker 2: seeing her and working with her again. But the truth
- 11:39Speaker 2: is that I'm friends with you know, almost everybody who's
- 11:43Speaker 2: come through the turnstile on this band. We still talk,
- 11:47Speaker 2: we still hang out. I work with Phil Phil Jiminez
- 11:51Speaker 2: from the first version of the band, the guy with
- 11:53Speaker 2: the mohawk and the bananas and stuff. He's the one
- 11:57Speaker 2: who mixed the re record of Teenage Startbag Teenage twenty twenty.
- 12:00Speaker 2: So you know, we're still we're still we're still colleagues,
- 12:05Speaker 2: you know, still work together.
- 12:07Speaker 1: You know.
- 12:07Speaker 4: It's taken eleven questions, mate, but I've got a serious
- 12:10Speaker 4: answer out of you.
- 12:13Speaker 1: All right, Sorry, I won't do that again.
- 12:18Speaker 4: That's to feed out like funny is a big part
- 12:21Speaker 4: of WEE. This is part of your music, it's part
- 12:23Speaker 4: of your live show, it's part of your life.
- 12:24Speaker 3: But when you're like I saw you.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Were Pandemidium this year and it was just the whole
- 12:29Speaker 4: feeling that came from the stage out of the crowd
- 12:32Speaker 4: was just it was warm because you made it so
- 12:34Speaker 4: fun on stage. But when you do on an acoustics
- 12:36Speaker 4: show as opposed to a full band show, is it
- 12:39Speaker 4: dynamics different for you? Like you have to approach it
- 12:42Speaker 4: differently with that sense of humor because it's sort of
- 12:44Speaker 4: you haven't got as many people to bounce off.
- 12:45Speaker 2: I guess actually, in some ways it's easier because you
- 12:48Speaker 2: can tell more stupid jokes about yourself and be more
- 12:51Speaker 2: self deprecating, you know, and you have a little bit
- 12:53Speaker 2: of the longer sets here, have more opportunities to fuck
- 12:56Speaker 2: up and fall on your face. So I mean, you know,
- 12:58Speaker 2: it's it basically, it's the way it's said before. You
- 13:00Speaker 2: take the music as seriously as you possibly can, but
- 13:02Speaker 2: don't take yourself seriously at all, And that's and that's
- 13:05Speaker 2: where the warmth comes from. We are very genuinely lucky
- 13:09Speaker 2: and feel that every time we step on stage, that
- 13:11Speaker 2: we can do this for a living. It's crazy, seems
- 13:15Speaker 2: like a big you know, with all that's going on
- 13:16Speaker 2: in the world today, playing music seems like a frivolous
- 13:20Speaker 2: easy job. And I'm not gonna lie Aaron Knights when
- 13:23Speaker 2: it's really hard. But it ain't as hard as you know,
- 13:25Speaker 2: carrying a rocksack across Ukraine or something like that. And
- 13:28Speaker 2: we and we have it, We have that in our
- 13:30Speaker 2: in our hearts all the time, that there's that there's
- 13:32Speaker 2: real suffering in the world, or what's going on in Palestine.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Sorry. Wadi's also recently released the debut album as an
- 13:38Speaker 4: epic twenty song expanded edition.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Like I said, that was a reception that I did it.
- 13:42Speaker 4: Did you find it brought new people under the band
- 13:44Speaker 4: or was it it's more old fans in the top out?
- 13:47Speaker 1: No, it was so awesome. It was so wonderful. Actually
- 13:49Speaker 1: was it was both. It was like everybody kind of
- 13:51Speaker 1: got it.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Well, whoever loved the first record, they got ten extra
- 13:55Speaker 2: songs that were hiding in the closet since then, and
- 13:58Speaker 2: you know, we finally got them out to people.
- 14:00Speaker 1: So they got the extra meal. You know, they got
- 14:02Speaker 1: the extra goods.
- 14:04Speaker 2: And then if you were new to us, you maybe
- 14:07Speaker 2: didn't understand exactly how much music we've put out over
- 14:09Speaker 2: the years. I think there's like eighty some odd tracks
- 14:12Speaker 2: in the weaedst catalog streaming right now. And you know,
- 14:17Speaker 2: it's our goal to be able to deliver all that
- 14:19Speaker 2: music to anybody who wants to hear it. And you know,
- 14:22Speaker 2: like I said, you get your Teenage dirtbeg, but you
- 14:24Speaker 2: also get a lot of lot of other things that
- 14:27Speaker 2: you might be interested in.
- 14:28Speaker 1: And you know, we don't ever phone it in.
- 14:31Speaker 2: We take a long time to make a record because
- 14:33Speaker 2: we try to make every song really just like do
- 14:35Speaker 2: something special, you know, like not not phone it in.
- 14:38Speaker 2: So yeah, I think it was. It was way better
- 14:43Speaker 2: received than I thought.
- 14:44Speaker 1: It would be, way better. We had Rolling Stone wrote
- 14:47Speaker 1: about it and stuff. It was like, wow, man, what's
- 14:50Speaker 1: going on? This is crazy?
- 14:51Speaker 3: You know, and it was.
- 14:52Speaker 1: It was joyful.
- 14:53Speaker 2: And now the only how I should say that, because
- 14:56Speaker 2: we did that, the only multi track version of Teenage
- 14:59Speaker 2: DIRTPEG that exists anymore is the new one. The old
- 15:02Speaker 2: one has been lost, it seems. So you know, we're
- 15:06Speaker 2: we're we're reborn somehow, and it's been. One of the
- 15:10Speaker 2: reasons is that record that was a pain in the
- 15:12Speaker 2: ask to make, but we finished it.
- 15:13Speaker 4: You know, you mentioned that track being lost fight and
- 15:17Speaker 4: the pressure release leads to extra lost tracks over the years.
- 15:21Speaker 4: But what I would to know is, in this modern
- 15:22Speaker 4: day and age, how the fuck does anyone lose a song?
- 15:27Speaker 1: A really good question, man.
- 15:28Speaker 2: I handed four whole five, eventually five whole copies of
- 15:32Speaker 2: the multi track over to the label, and each of
- 15:35Speaker 2: them had I was wrapped in a piece of paper
- 15:37Speaker 2: that said back this up to pro tools and tape
- 15:39Speaker 2: as soon as you get it, you know, And nobody
- 15:42Speaker 2: did that. So I regret not overseeing that process myself
- 15:46Speaker 2: back in the day. But I did deliver five redundant
- 15:48Speaker 2: copies and they are all gone.
- 15:49Speaker 1: It seems no one can find them.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Rolling Stone got ghosted by the label when they asked
- 15:54Speaker 2: the questions, So it's a you know, it's one of
- 15:56Speaker 2: those things. It's like, I don't know how you do it,
- 15:58Speaker 2: but somebody seems to have done, you know, due it
- 16:03Speaker 2: wasn't you, It wasn't me.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Before you started a new segment towards foto Bomb, which
- 16:12Speaker 4: basically means before I talk to you, wat tro all
- 16:13Speaker 4: your social media caps to come up with fotos, and
- 16:16Speaker 4: I went about him. Okay, the first one I've come
- 16:21Speaker 4: up with is this one from the.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Ooh yeah, wow, Spider Nate Web that's my buddy right there.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Get Tyler plug in so he doesn't doesn't see me,
- 16:32Speaker 3: but tell us.
- 16:33Speaker 2: A bit more about his Yeah, so that's my buddy,
- 16:36Speaker 2: Spider Nate web Is. He's an independent wrestler and he
- 16:39Speaker 2: invited us to an event in Queens, New York in
- 16:42Speaker 2: New York City, UH to play him into the ring,
- 16:45Speaker 2: and then I had to wind up jumping in the
- 16:47Speaker 2: ring to save him.
- 16:48Speaker 1: It was wild. It was a wild night.
- 16:51Speaker 2: And you know I gave the MJF a DDT that night.
- 16:56Speaker 2: And I don't think he's ever recovered. I mean he's
- 16:58Speaker 2: still he still looks a little crooked from.
- 16:59Speaker 1: That that one.
- 17:00Speaker 3: What the fuck's a m j F for? What's the
- 17:02Speaker 3: d d G?
- 17:05Speaker 1: My wrestling friends will know. Google that ship, Google that ship.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Very cool, a little fit.
- 17:10Speaker 4: This runs a bit of a three potter, but I'll
- 17:12Speaker 4: give you the main part first. This shot here man
- 17:16Speaker 4: like this was taken by sw Photography and Media back
- 17:20Speaker 4: in two thousand nine. Name but something like that man, Like,
- 17:24Speaker 4: what some feeling do you get being out in the
- 17:26Speaker 4: crowd and doing that with them all around you?
- 17:29Speaker 1: Well, I gotta tell you, I don't remember that one.
- 17:31Speaker 1: That's a wild one right there.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Well, so there were there were nights where I, uh,
- 17:38Speaker 2: I've run out into the crowd, and that seems to
- 17:40Speaker 2: have been one of them. I don't know where though.
- 17:43Speaker 2: It might be Minneapolists. Maybe maybe it's Minnesota, but it
- 17:48Speaker 2: looks like I might be in a state of how
- 17:51Speaker 2: do I say this, being grabbed somewhere.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I'm not here to me.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Glit of that, but that's something that you that does
- 18:02Speaker 2: happen sometimes when you run into the crowd and there's
- 18:04Speaker 2: drunk people out there. So anyway, uh, yeah, I h
- 18:11Speaker 2: I think.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I had a good show after that. I'm not sure.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I'm not sure when and where that was that. I
- 18:17Speaker 1: must admit, that's a funny one.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Has it never gone completely payshape for you?
- 18:21Speaker 4: Let you go out in the crowd and someone pulls
- 18:23Speaker 4: your cord out or someone.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Nah, No, it's never it's never gone completely downhill.
- 18:29Speaker 1: It's gotten a little weird, but most people are respectful,
- 18:32Speaker 1: you know, they want to see what's going to happen.
- 18:33Speaker 1: You know, they don't want to stop it.
- 18:35Speaker 4: But you know, before we go on, I should point
- 18:37Speaker 4: out that that wasn't a challenge for everybody out there.
- 18:39Speaker 3: It was just a general question.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Well, don't whatever is happening in this photo, don't do it.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Right now.
- 18:46Speaker 4: I wanted to see down a couple of people in
- 18:47Speaker 4: despite I might get your opinions.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Yeah, looks like she's having a ball.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Yeah she could.
- 18:54Speaker 2: She literally cannot believe what's going on, and maybe she
- 18:57Speaker 2: knows something I don't. That's that's what I'd be worried
- 19:00Speaker 2: about now looking at her.
- 19:03Speaker 3: This one here doesn't look like she gives a fuck.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Nah, she's on her social media talking about another band.
- 19:13Speaker 4: She's probably on there going like I can't believe I
- 19:15Speaker 4: got two with five minutes five meters of Brendan.
- 19:18Speaker 3: But have stayed off to Phane, she probably would have
- 19:20Speaker 3: been able to give you a hug and sing with you.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, she's texting her of friends at the Cold
- 19:25Speaker 1: Place show.
- 19:28Speaker 4: No, Brenda, Well, thanks for your time that I made
- 19:30Speaker 4: be an absolute pleasure talking with you. Weirdness will be
- 19:32Speaker 4: out here for the acoustic tour January February next year.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Tickets available on the socials.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Sounds like it should be a great tour man. I'll
- 19:39Speaker 3: catch up with you at the Brisbane show and hopefully
- 19:41Speaker 3: I ever be out.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Thanks Chris, definitely, that was lovely. Thank you very much.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Mat
