- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar's fans, welcome in to Dove All Daily, presented by GenJag.com and fueled by Brass Tax Coffee right now.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about the things that have me a little bit nervous, a little bit worried about the upcoming Jaguar season, season kicks off for the Jags 24 days from now.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: September 13th, the Jack Wars, are hosting the Cleveland Browns.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: They're obviously also hosting, Carolina Panthers tomorrow night, not quite as nervous about that one.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: I will be if, you know, Trevor Lawrence is out there behind a makeshift offensive line.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: And that is really kind of the the biggest thing here.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's the offensive line.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: It makes me a little nervous for September 13th and beyond, we're going to dive into it.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: if you enjoy the content, it's all jacks all the time.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: Please like and subscribe, you can also hit that high button.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: So, offensive line, I'll be like 100% honest.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: Right now, depth is a concern, and right tackle is a concern.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's where I'm at.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: I am not really concerned with a starting for, that like, as it looks right now, features, sorry, checking out Murray.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: Features Anton Harrison at Left Tackle.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's been doing a really good job at Left Tackle, ever since Liam Cohen and this coaching staff challenged him last off season, he has really turns a corner.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not nervous about the guard spots.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: Again, in the starting lineup.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: I have always been a truther of Ezra Cleveland, even when people didn't believe in him, I did, and I think most people are now pretty satisfied with him.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: Emmanuel Pregnant has really come on.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: His first game action against, against the Saints last week was really excellent.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: He showed power.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: He showed block framing.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: Will there be bumps in the road for a rookie?
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, but that is a very experienced rookie.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: He played a lot of college football.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: He's getting a lot of opportunities to get ready.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: And as Grant Yudinsky said, he's one of the hardest workers in the building.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's there at 10pm at night.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: When Granty Dinsky is in the lab trying to cook up some different ways for the Jack Wars offense to take advantage of the current NFL metas on defense of maybe you're upcoming matchup all that stuff and Emmanuel Pregnant's still there trying to get better.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm very excited about Pregnant and I just I still can't believe he fell to 88 overall.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: At Center, Robert Hansie, I'm not overly nervous about it.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's a type of guy where I do think you can upgrade, but I think that his leadership, his understanding, command of the offense, all that stuff, combined with his play on the field makes for someone you can definitely live with at your center spot.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: And then right now at Right Guard, as Reclive One has been there the last couple days, they've asked him to move around a little bit.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: He's got versatility, he played tackle in college.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: But at right guard, if your guard combo is pregnant and Cleveland, I feel pretty good about that.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: And then the nervous part right now is right tackle.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: And then also the depth right now, because why am I limits currently down?
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: Patrick McCarrie is down.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: Chuma doga is down and Colvin land and still not back.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: So basically, until Colvin land is back on that practice field, going full go, I'm going to be nervous at this point because like I said, you're 24 days away from the start of the regular season.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: How many days of practice do you need to get ready for the regular season if you're
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: He looks like he's in good shape.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: He looks like he should be ready to go at some point soon, but I can't give you a real timeline on that.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar's having offered a real timeline on that other than that Liam Cohen at the start of camp said that he's confident in the timeline for week one.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: But realistically, the clock is ticking.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: And then let's say one of the guys that you're currently
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: for a week one, and your offensive line is Harrison, Pragnon, Hainesy, Cleveland, and COVID-19.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: If one more guy goes down there, like then again, you're kind of in a tough spot.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm pretty nervous about it.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm also, you know, one thing to keep in mind, once COVID-19 and Laneon does come back,
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: it would not surprise me if they start walker little over a manual pregnant on that guard I wouldn't I know he's a veteran I know all that's up I mean pregnant on just has that it factor that violence that strength I think he's just a better player
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: So again, I wouldn't, but it would not surprise me if the jag war is go down that road because of, you know, he's a veteran.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it would be about the money situation, which isn't the best with Walker Little, but I think it could be because him being a veteran and they want to have a veteran offensive line.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I'm nervous until Colvin lands back on that field.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also just nervous for any
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: If there's one more injury, I mean, jeez.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: But they do expect why I'm island back next week.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: They do expect pregnant on back during training camp.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: So I say, I keep saying pregnant on instead of a dog.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: Chuma edoga, they expect back during training camp.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: So if you get those two guys back, then you're feeling a little bit better about your depth.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: Daniel Fawla, Lele, I mean, he's better than the guys you saw against the Saints last week after the first,
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: Milo and and Monheim went out of those guys were just horrible.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: No offense to them.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's not personal.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's just it is what it is.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Ricky Lee, Obedegguo, Christian, Moestifer.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: Those guys were not good.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: So, Philele, Philele is better than those guys, but I still wouldn't be excited about having him in the starting lineup for sure.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: And according to Rhino Haller, and they gave up a six rounder in 2027 for Farfale Lele, and that's not great, but sometimes you're put in between a rock and a hard place, and you gotta go do something.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: Jason brought up a great point last night on Club Jaguar, like, why not just go get Taylor Decker?
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: I do think the reason is you're not guaranteeing him to start a job.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: You have
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: Cold Van Landon just is down for now, still on the pup.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: When's he going to be back?
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: Tough to say, but yeah, as we get closer and closer, I'm more and more nervous about this offensive line because of the injuries.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I just quite frankly, the way Walker Little played last year, I do not want him playing tackle for Trevor Lawrence.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: That makes me nervous.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: But you want to know what does not make me nervous.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: The my bookie lock of the season is back.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: And the first one, it is an absolute no brainer with the Patriots in Seattle for NFL kickoff.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: My bookie is asking one simple question.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: Will the Seahawks raise their championship banner that night?
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: Of course they will, right?
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: They're defending champs.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's their home opener.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: Raising the banner before kickoff is part of the celebration.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: You're getting that bet at plus money odds from my bookie.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: You're basically getting paid to say yes.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: The Seahawks will do that.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: They will raise the banner.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's the first my bookie lock at the season, and there'll be more coming all season long.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: So if you get in before kick off, sign up at my bookie with promo code Duval, that's DUVAL, all caps, and start your season off with a win anytime, anywhere that's my bookie code Duval must be 21 plus 18 plus in select jurisdictions.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: In terms of conditions applied gambling problem, I call it 1-8 under gambling or visit 1-800 gambling.net for free confidential support available 24-7.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm also a little bit nervous now that this is kind of an under-talked about situation, I think, because there's just so much else going on.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: but Liquid Allen is down for the rest of training camp.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he'd be back for the start of this regular season.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: He has a clearly defined role at like at minimum.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: He has a clearly defined role of your third downback.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: You're in forcer and past protection.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: A really good receiving back out of the backfield.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like at minimum, that's his role on the team.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have someone else who can fulfill that role?
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: If, again, he's down for training camp, he's gonna be right back to playing full speed when he's back, I don't know.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: And he's down for training camp, according to the team.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: So third down running back, I'm a little nervous about that, and that kind of like is in tandem with the offensive line situation, right?
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: Clear passing downs, that's where I'm most nervous about Walker little.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: Clear passing downs, your best pass down back is now down.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: Again, don't exactly know how long that will be.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that makes me nervous because like Chris Rodriguez can he pass pro?
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: Can he catch out of the back field?
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: At the very least, you say it's unproven.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: Bacial Tutan, I don't have a problem with him as a receiver, but is he ready to do the job in pass pro?
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: And if Allen starts the season on short term I are,
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: Is Jamari Taylor that guy?
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: Is Amir Abdulla that guy?
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: I love the way Jamari Taylor runs the football, but one of the reasons I did like him in the draft was his versatility.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he was a good passcatcher.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he was good in Paspro.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: Still difficult to ask a rookie to go out there and do a good job against all these different blitzes you're gonna see on third down and different things like that.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: And the jags?
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: They face good past rushes early on.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I know the Browns do not have the one of one player in Miles Garra, but Jarvers is still really, really good.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: They've got other good guys up there.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the Broncos week two.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: They've got all sorts of past rush.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that part is making me a little nervous.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see Lequan out out there.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: And he's a really good, special.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's one of those glue pieces to this team that they completely fall apart without him.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not ready to say that.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: But does he make them a lot stronger and a variety of areas?
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: And so that makes me nervous.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: Another thing flipping sides of the ball,
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: And the Jaguar's cover opposing ones.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: It was an issue last year.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: It absolutely was.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: You can't deny it.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: They struggled to cover opposing wide receiver ones.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: You look at the Jaguar's schedule this year.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: You look at the AFC in general.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: There's more wide receiver ones than there were last year.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: And the AFC playoff picture on the Jaguar's schedule.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: So week one,
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: You can make the argument that there are no wide receiver ones.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you what, if you're not mentally locked in and ready to go, I think Denzel Boston and Kasey concepts your own rookies can give you some fits.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: Those guys are, you know, Denzel Boston is a big physical receiver, who's a good athlete at his size.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: Kasey concept your own is an absolute burner.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: really good player.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: So, do they have the quarterback to get them ball all the time?
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not as nervous with the Browns, but the Broncos went and got Jalen Waddle week two.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: Patriots, they went and got AJ Brown and Romeo Dubs.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: The Bengals,
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: We know what they have, Jamar Chase T. Higgins, the Eagles, yeah, they lost AJ Brown, but guess what?
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: They still have Devante Smith, they wouldn't got McCoy limit.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: The Texans have Nico Collins, he is roasted the Jaguars in the past.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: The cults don't make you as nervous from a wide receiver.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: One standpoint, the Ravens obviously have Zay Flowers, the Titans.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: You play them twice, too, still, and they went and got Cardinal Tate.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: It looks like a wide receiver one.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: The Giants have Malik neighbors.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: The Bears have a Dunes and a bunch of good guys.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: The Steelers obviously have DK Metcalf who could give you
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: some trouble, and Michael Pettman's had good games against the jacks too.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: The Cowboys CDLAM, one of the best wide receivers on football.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: The commander's Terry McCleuron could give the jack worse fits.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: So the entire schedule has good, good receivers, and I am nervous about
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: The Jags being able to lock these guys up.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: I thought this nerves about it would be gone by now because Travis Hunter would just be locking things up.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: But Travis Hunter isn't exclusively covering opposing widers' people once to this point.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: That could change.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if they're going up against the bingles and it's just like, okay, we're having trouble with Jamar Chase is just like, okay, a sick Travis Hunter on them.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: Does that fall within the scheme?
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: All these different questions?
- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: So that is still a question for me.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: it absolutely is.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: And then something I'm surprised about, but based on week one, preseason, kick coverage has got to get better.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: I know they're experimenting with different types of kicks with cam little.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: They've got young guys out there trying to get the job done on special teams in that first game, but
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: Now that I've seen that, I need to see it better.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: I absolutely need to see it better.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: They were pretty miserable, covering kickoffs.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: and just executing on the kickoff game, and preseason week one, that is something they theoretically should be really good at.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: He far was a great, special teams coach, they have good, special teams assistants, they have guys that are good gunners, that are good, special teams players.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_00]: So it should get cleaned up, but I think what you saw on that contest was a little bit scary.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: Those are the things I'm nervous about.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: And look, I still think the,
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: I still think that the jags are in a spot where they're a playoff team.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: I still think that the jags are one of the top competitors in the AFC, but the biggest issue towards that is getting healthy on the offensive line.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: If they do that, I'll be much more bought in, but as of right now, they're not healthy on the offensive line.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: as of right now they haven't proven that they can cover opposing number ones and again the kind of minor issues here is the kick coverage because I mean that can flip a ball game and then you know I won't leak when Alan back on that feel as soon as possible so let me know how you're feeling in the comment section below if you enjoy the content please like and subscribe y'all good one.
