  know that we've been talking about identity, the lies that

  we've believed, and the truth that God speaks over our lives.

  But today's episode is where everything comes together.

  Today's episode is called You Can Change Your Stars stepping
• 0:45
  into God's blueprint. Because here's the truth.
• 0:48
  The moment you realize who you are in Christ, the moment you
• 0:51
  embrace your identity, your royal identity, the moment you
• 0:55
  stop believing the lie that you're stuck under the same old
• 0:59
  stars, you step into the blueprint that God designed for
• 1:02
  you all along. So let's get into it.

  See, identity always comes before action.
• 1:08
  Before God asks you to do something, He reminds you of who
• 1:12
  you are. He said.
• 1:13
  Who am I? And God said I am Moses.
• 1:17
  He said who am I? God said I am is with you.
• 1:22
  Gideon said I'm the weakest. God said you are a mighty
• 1:26
  warrior. Peter said go away from me, Lord
• 1:29
  Jesus said feed my sheep. So God knows that you can't step
• 1:33
  into your calling while still believing the lies about who you
• 1:37
  are. But once your identity is
• 1:38
  restored, once you stop living like a peasant, once you start
• 1:42
  seeing yourself as chosen, forgiven, valued, and loved,
• 1:47
  everything changes. Not instantly, not perfectly,
• 1:50
  but intentionally. Because identity unlocks
• 1:54
  destiny. See, most Christians live in the
• 1:56
  tension between I know God forgave me and but I don't know
• 2:00
  how to live differently. It's easy for people to believe
• 2:03
  in forgiveness and still doubt transformation, to know that
• 2:06
  you're saved but not know how to move forward, to come out of
• 2:10
  Egypt but still think like a slave.
• 2:13
  And if you don't deal with the gap, the space between your
• 2:16
  identity in Christ and your old mindset, you can be forgiven but
• 2:20
  not free. Chosen but insecure, royal but
• 2:24
  retreating, Loved but hiding. Called but stuck.
• 2:29
  And for years that was me. See, there came a moment long
• 2:33
  after I had begun healing, long after I had walked in honesty,
• 2:37
  long after God had restored, long after God had started
• 2:40
  restoring things in my life, when he made something very
• 2:43
  clear to me. Wes, it's time to stop surviving
• 2:46
  and start becoming. Becoming takes intention.
• 2:50
  Becoming requires surrender. Becoming requires discomfort.
• 2:55
  Becoming requires risk. Becoming requires letting go of
• 3:00
  the old story and stepping into the new one.
• 3:02
  For me, one of those steps was was writing my book, The
• 3:05
  Blueprint of Becoming a Practical Guide to Face Failure
• 3:09
  and Finding your Way forward. Not because I felt ready, and
• 3:12
  definitely not because I felt confident.
• 3:14
  And it surely wasn't because I felt qualified.
• 3:17
  Honestly, it scared me. It stretched me a lot.
• 3:20
  It forced me to put words to things that I wanted to leave
• 3:23
  hidden. But obedience, even the
• 3:25
  trembling kind, becomes the doorway.
• 3:28
  The transformation. Writing my story wasn't about
• 3:32
  publishing a book. It was about surrendering my
• 3:34
  identity to God's blueprint and trusting him with the results.
• 3:39
  And he has used that step in ways that I could have never
• 3:43
  predicted. So here's the truth that every
• 3:45
  believer must embrace. God doesn't rescue you just to
• 3:49
  leave you where he found you. He rescues you to repurpose you.
• 3:54
  Transformation isn't a bonus feature of the Christian life.
• 3:57
  It is the Christian life. God has a blueprint, a design, A
• 4:02
  purpose, a direction for every one of His children.
• 4:06
  And that means for you, even if you don't feel worthy, even if
• 4:10
  you don't feel ready, even if you don't feel qualified, even
• 4:13
  if your past is messy, and even if your present feels unstable.
• 4:18
  Your calling isn't based on your competence, it's based on his
• 4:22
  character. Let me say that again.
• 4:24
  Your calling isn't based on your competence.
• 4:26
  It's based on his character. But here's the part so we don't
• 4:29
  talk about enough. Becoming is intentional.
• 4:32
  You don't drift into purpose, you step into it.
• 4:35
  Many believers never step into this calling.
• 4:37
  So let's talk about why so many Christians never step into the
• 4:41
  calling that God has designed them for #1 Would be fear of
• 4:44
  failure. What if I mess it up #2 would be
• 4:47
  fear of exposure. What if people find out I'm not
• 4:50
  perfect #3 fear of success. What if God actually does use
• 4:54
  me? Am I ready #4 attachment to the
• 4:58
  old identity. It's hard to leave familiar even
• 5:01
  when it's unhealthy, and #5 waiting for perfection.
• 5:06
  See, we wait until we feel strong, until we feel confident,
• 5:10
  healed, or holy enough. But God never says when you're
• 5:13
  ready, follow me. He says, follow me and I'll make
• 5:17
  you ready. Identity shapes vision.
• 5:19
  If you see yourself as a peasant, you're going to dream
• 5:22
  like a peasant. If you see yourself through
• 5:24
  shame, you will aim low. If you see yourself through
• 5:27
  fear, you're going to stay small.
• 5:29
  If you see yourself as God sees you, forgiven, chosen, royal,
• 5:34
  capable, called, loved, your vision begins to rise.
• 5:39
  You begin to ask bigger questions.
• 5:41
  What can God do through me? What have I been created for?
• 5:45
  What is God trying to pull out of me?
• 5:46
  What have I been afraid to believe?
• 5:48
  Vision isn't arrogance. Vision is agreement with heaven.
• 5:52
  So let me give you some practical tools for becoming
• 5:55
  three tools, simple but powerful, that will help you
• 5:58
  walk into your new stars. Tool #1 Declare a new story.
• 6:04
  Every transformation begins with a declaration.
• 6:07
  Not wishful thinking, not empty positivity, but biblical truth.
• 6:11
  God is not done with my story. My identity is.
• 6:14
  In Christ I am loved, chosen and called.
• 6:18
  I do not walk in shame. I can change my stars.
• 6:21
  Declarations are how you talk to yourself, not about yourself.
• 6:25
  So declare your new story tool #2 build a God centered vision
• 6:31
  board. Not a new age, not a
• 6:33
  manifesting, not the universe. A vision board is this God.
• 6:37
  Show me who you say I am and I will align my life with that
• 6:42
  vision. Put scriptures, words, images,
• 6:45
  goals, reminders of who God says you are all on this board and
• 6:50
  see it daily. Pray over it and let it shape
• 6:53
  your mindset because transformation begins in your
• 6:56
  imagination. So build a God centered vision
• 7:00
  board and tool #3 is take one brave step.
• 7:04
  Not ten steps, not perfection, and not the whole journey, Just
• 7:09
  one, one brave step. Maybe it's going to counseling.
• 7:12
  Maybe it's joining a men's or a women's group.
• 7:14
  Maybe it's opening up to a friend or applying for a job or
• 7:18
  serving somewhere. Maybe it's starting a project
• 7:20
  that God put on your heart. Maybe it's writing a single
• 7:23
  paragraph of your story. One step can rewrite an entire
• 7:27
  destiny. So don't wait for courage,
• 7:30
  because courage comes after obedience.
• 7:33
  When I look back at the vest, when I look back at the last few
• 7:36
  years, the healing, the growth, the restoration, the ministering
• 7:41
  opportunities that have come, I'm reminded of something
• 7:44
  profound. I didn't earn any of this.
• 7:47
  I stepped into it, and definitely not confidently at
• 7:50
  first, or even boldly at 1st, And not with strength at first,
• 7:54
  but with willingness. Every change that God has
• 7:57
  brought into my life began with one small step of surrender, 1
• 8:01
  moment of honesty, one prayer, one meeting I was afraid to
• 8:05
  attend, one decision to stop hiding, one act of obedience,
• 8:09
  one yes, that terrified me. And God took those small steps,
• 8:14
  those small trembling steps, and used them to change my stars.
• 8:19
  If He can do it for me, He can definitely do it for you.
• 8:22
  So take a moment and ask yourself, what star is God
• 8:25
  asking me to change? Is it the star of fear?
• 8:28
  The star of shame? The star of addiction?
• 8:31
  The star of insecurity? The star of self hatred?
• 8:34
  The star of perfectionism. The star of I don't deserve
• 8:39
  better. The star of I'm too broken for
• 8:42
  purpose. Or maybe God is asking you to
• 8:45
  step into a calling that you've been avoiding because you feel
• 8:48
  you're too small for it. What if God is waiting on the
• 8:52
  one thing that you're afraid to give?
• 8:55
  I want to leave you with this challenge.
• 8:57
  Stop managing your transformation and start
• 9:01
  surrendering it. Stop clinging to who you were.
• 9:05
  Stop protecting the old story. Stop waiting to feel ready.
• 9:09
  God's blueprint for your life is bigger than the stars that you
• 9:12
  were born under. So step into it, Learn it,
• 9:15
  believe it, walk in it. You can change your stars not
• 9:19
  because of who you are, but because of who God is.
