Transcript
- 0:40Welcome back to, I'm still live a blunt, penknife Doctor, Who
- 0:44country. Pop course, that's a great
- 0:46beginning. I am bag with the, for some is
- 0:50back together again with becoming a little troop.
- 0:53Now, I'm here with the Delirious, Lucy McCall, say
- 0:57Hello, Lucy. Hello the fabulous day.
- 1:00Ready? Hello?
- 1:03And the Magnificent Daniel night.
- 1:05Hello, lo. And after our meteoric, success,
- 1:09Kind of evil. Unfortunately, the failure as
- 1:13far as I harvest concerned who still hates it, but yeah, but we
- 1:18did make him. We didn't make him listen to
- 1:20four episodes of us. Banging on about it though.
- 1:23Yes. Yes.
- 1:24So, he found some entertainment in there somewhere.
- 1:28I'm going to ask Lucy, what story we are daring to cover
- 1:32today. Okay, today we are tearing with
- 1:36a daring to cover, perhaps cover.
- 1:39Isn't quite the right word, may be uncovered, would be the right
- 1:42word planning to fire, indeed. And before we jump in, I got a
- 1:51little something. I want to say to all three of
- 1:53you. Yes, you may all sit there and
- 1:56look a bit scared. All right.
- 1:59Remember I did ask for permission.
- 2:09Know what I wanted to say was. Thank you, thank you so much for
- 2:16contributing to this thing and giving your time up.
- 2:19Thank you very much for supporting this thing, and, and
- 2:22thank you for being so lovely. To all those people.
- 2:26The sort of dip their toes in this community, you guys have
- 2:30been like massive supporters of hamster from the first time you
- 2:35came on. So I just wanted to say a very
- 2:38quick, thank you, before we go into the story.
- 2:40I think you're all amazing. You all deliver fabulous
- 2:43recordings, but you just stalwart members of this
- 2:47community. So thank you very much.
- 2:50Thank you. Yeah, the pleasure's all over?
- 2:53Yeah. After you find the pleasure's
- 2:58mine. That's a brilliant young again.
- 3:02But no we are here today to talk about planet of fire.
- 3:05We're going to moderate this one episode of Peace me on one day.
- 3:09Von no Lucy. Oh no Dave onto the sea on three
- 3:13and Daniel on for quick thoughts.
- 3:17Before we go into one Daniel. Episode 1 sticks in my mind for
- 3:24two reasons. No, but I was going to say
- 3:29Nicola Bryant but the other one is that is the Fantastic
- 3:33photography, Lucy, waving her breathe.
- 3:48Yes, they it's it's a bit of an odd, one really isn't it?
- 3:52Because it's, it's, it's not bad, but it's not, I think
- 3:56being. So, again, like plan, this is
- 3:58evil. It's a match between two, really
- 4:01well-known and well-loved stories.
- 4:03I mean, even resurrection of the Daleks, I mean, it was quite a
- 4:06big hit in the day. I'd probably I know.
- 4:09Some people don't like it, including the writer, but it's
- 4:14sort of a little bit of a stopgap between You know the
- 4:18bloodbath is resurrection and then the bloodbath is case
- 4:21Founders Army. I think there's only one person
- 4:24in this that gets killed off actually and on screen so it's
- 4:28quite mild. What are you Dave?
- 4:32What are your thoughts initially?
- 4:35However, in different, this story, I think it was the last
- 4:39device and I saw and I do love that say anything to do with it,
- 4:41but a lot happens in the story in its on its in Lanzarote.
- 4:46So it looks like an alien planet, but I don't know why.
- 4:48I just, it just doesn't grab me or, I don't know, but those good
- 4:52things that we'll talk about. Yeah, just a bit.
- 4:55Yeah, one. That's what I'm afraid.
- 4:57How about you look safe. Yeah, I like it.
- 5:00I do there are things in it that are not so keen on things that I
- 5:05didn't notice when I was watching it.
- 5:06When I was a child that I now notice is an adult but I'm
- 5:09really not so keen on it does seem sometimes that there's a
- 5:15lot happening, but it doesn't feel like there's a lot
- 5:17happening in a couple of places but the he's it's nice that
- 5:22they're out on location. It's nice that there.
- 5:26The doctor has a nice waist coat on and that's very nice.
- 5:29And it's obviously the end of tolos redemption Arc and the
- 5:34beginning of Perry's introduction to the Tardis.
- 5:37And the master is in it. Of course, but yeah.
- 5:40No, I enjoyed it. I enjoy it when I watch it.
- 5:44So what I really like this but I think it doesn't hold together
- 5:50at all. It's got there's mad shopping
- 5:52list of ingredients in there and a ton of plots and Of those
- 5:56plots really Belong Together, the master being shrunk
- 5:59chameleon, the the face, angle Perry, joining turlough leaving
- 6:06and that whole back story. And yet, I think all of those
- 6:09plots work and all the seams work, they're just almost in
- 6:13together, into one story. It's starting to feel again, a
- 6:17bit like the master being shoehorned into stories, isn't
- 6:20it? Because he had to be in The
- 6:23eclipse, the it could have happened without him being in
- 6:26it, with, with Tim love being the main threat as it were and
- 6:33potentially more Sinister than he actually is in it.
- 6:36But yeah, I don't know. You guys got the clothes hangers
- 6:39or you don't screw up. Yeah, the other episode 1
- 6:47because there's so Camp - I will call him in episode 2 as well.
- 6:51Since Although I wish somebody would learn how to stick that,
- 6:55Bloody beard on him. It's literally all over the but
- 6:58you watch it in this story. It's all over, the bloody place
- 7:01needs to keep his here on in this story, a bit when the top
- 7:04of the mountain but what it did up so I'm like sort of me to
- 7:08talk to you Lucy's a little bit below me I think maybe Daniels a
- 7:12little bit below her and then Dave's the one that's got to be
- 7:15convinced the most I think even with that sorry, what would
- 7:21somebody care? The counters into episode 1 then
- 7:230 we can finally see Telos pants.
- 7:27Sorry, it's last time you went quiet, lots of five.
- 7:33Okay. Okay, five, four, three, two,
- 7:39one. Okay.
- 7:41So my first question is this now I kind of know the answer for
- 7:45this one for Lucy because we did the visitation together.
- 7:48So I'm going to come to you last the Davison era as a whole Dave.
- 7:54What's your opinion? I like it.
- 7:57It was one of the first ones I saw probably all the way through
- 7:59because they were, they always seemed when the VHS come out.
- 8:03They all seem to be Davison stories.
- 8:05So, I think now it is, is when I watched the more or less than
- 8:10others, but I've also got a soft spot for him because it's his
- 8:14stories with the ones always seem to be 0, but it's chaotic
- 8:18as, on as there're three companions, which I don't think
- 8:21works. He's it's one of the more is not
- 8:26a dominant doctor so it's totally different but but the
- 8:30companions he's got am not quite sure if that's a good Dynamic to
- 8:33have with TK and, and awakes this all over power.
- 8:39Remember But yeah, I think Davison's good and they're all
- 8:44and is the first sort of naturalistic doctor doesn't.
- 8:48He is not a big. As I see a big powerful, Tom
- 8:52Baker, risked character And yeah.
- 8:56So yeah I like it which means to massively sort of powerful
- 9:01personality. Oh yeah.
- 9:03What about you that Daniel. I mean, I grew up watching the
- 9:07Peter Davison era. So it's, it's my era of Doctor
- 9:10Who so to speak. I mean, it's the, it's the, it's
- 9:13the first year of Doctor Who that I sought watched all the
- 9:15way through and there are as a kid.
- 9:19I absolutely loved it and I love Peter Dave since dr.
- 9:22As an adult. I think, you know, at the
- 9:27Nostalgia, sort of wears off a little bit and there are stories
- 9:29that are the don't work, and there are ideas that don't work
- 9:35and I think, Pink one, I think it does suffer from a lot of
- 9:42writers not knowing what to do with the doctor being such a
- 9:46naturalistic amiable person and I think sometimes Peter Davison
- 9:52can he's actually even sometimes more angry with his companions
- 9:55than it is with the villains you Snipes in quite a lot.
- 10:00But Does very little emotion in this, it's almost as if the the
- 10:08script editor had to keep it. Action action action, conflict,
- 10:11conflict conflict, whereas it would have been nice for.
- 10:14There's there are a couple of occasions where the compact the
- 10:17doctor and a companion. Get the opportunity to be nice
- 10:23to each other and kind to each other, but it just always seems
- 10:27to be that. He's that he's really having to
- 10:29bite his tongue. With not just with Tegan.
- 10:31But with with all of them, With Nyssa even and, you know, so as
- 10:38an adult it's not my favorite era but I do, I do enjoy it and
- 10:42there's still in the room, the nostalgic value of it.
- 10:45And Peter Davison is a really good actor as well.
- 10:48So I'm very glad he, he was the doctor, you know, when those,
- 10:53when those moments of kindness like bleed fruit, there's a
- 10:55moment in more than Undead. We're Takin just stops the
- 10:58actions that when I was thinking about.
- 11:00Yeah, you were going to give up your life for us.
- 11:02Thank you. Much.
- 11:04Yeah, what's this money? There people all of a sudden.
- 11:07Yeah, they see that they've sanera.
- 11:10Well, he's still my doctor. I think he was the first one
- 11:14that I that I watched and Yeah, I still watching them back.
- 11:21I wasn't sure whether I like them as much as I did before,
- 11:24but I still really like that. It's still really feels like
- 11:29sort of my era that I'm comfortable with.
- 11:31They were my first told his team, it's clearly plastic.
- 11:35Sorry. Looking at the see what the
- 11:37screw. This mysterious mysterious metal
- 11:39object that they pulled out of the sea.
- 11:42Yeah, I I don't know, I suppose maybe it's still sort of child
- 11:47me. I'm still partly watching it as
- 11:49a child, but I still really enjoy them and I really like it.
- 11:53And I think there's a lot more to his doctor than first meets
- 11:58the eye. II.
- 11:59Also, he was given absolutely no direction on how to play the
- 12:03path. It just to the congratulations.
- 12:07You're the doctor off you go? Yeah, I think it was more for
- 12:11put his costume wasn't there, but that's GMT for you.
- 12:17Okay, so we are on our side. I know third overseas location
- 12:23in this. We've done Paris, we've done a
- 12:25damn and boy. It sounds like they were hijinks
- 12:27there. And now we're in Lanzarote, I
- 12:32mean, okay. One of the one of the issues
- 12:34that My overall fast with this is that Lanzarote and Psalm are
- 12:41clearly the same place but you know what, kind of think who
- 12:45cares. Whether the location work?
- 12:47Is this good? Is this, is this something that
- 12:50you only, what do you guys think of heading out to these
- 12:53expensive locations? For a doctor who story?
- 12:56Dave, is significant and to see a place that which totally alien
- 13:02mean they've done it in the new series, as well, didn't he?
- 13:04When they went to Dubai? Why?
- 13:05Because they wanted somewhere on the cousin called any houses or
- 13:08any fun yet by. Yeah.
- 13:11I think it's its sales the whole billion plan.
- 13:14If I mean, you get saturated being in the UK and going to be
- 13:19cheese and so, yeah, I'm all for it.
- 13:22I mean, whether it be never been to South Africa, nobody's and
- 13:27absolutely think about local next.
- 13:29I still think this is the best Bloody Quarry we've ever had.
- 13:31You know, I can dig. They volcanic Landscapes of As
- 13:35our Aussie, the volcanic landscape, that's actually a
- 13:37volcanic landscape. Well, we seen what was that the
- 13:44beginning of City a day? If I think that's bad supposed
- 13:46to be a similar sort of thing, isn't it?
- 13:49You know that model shop? The spaceship in prehistoric
- 13:52ofice opposed to be that sort of thing?
- 13:54I've not been the ones that already, but I've been in a
- 13:57couple of other Islands, even to do.
- 13:58We really are. When you do think you're on the
- 13:59moon have you been to Lanzarote Daniel?
- 14:05No, I haven't. No my sister won't like last
- 14:10year with her family and they said it was beautiful.
- 14:13If you like lots of rocks and volcanic, ash volcanic, ash and
- 14:18and stuff like that. And it does look good on on
- 14:21screen. But as you say, having the
- 14:27opening scenes, where the with that are set on Earth being
- 14:31filmed in the same place, it does kind of you.
- 14:34You don't, you can't in your mind sort of separate them from
- 14:38you know, that just over the other side of the Hill, they
- 14:41were filming the volcano and then just down on the beach.
- 14:45It does look a little bit similar, but you know, if if
- 14:50they can afford it, I think it's well worth it.
- 14:52And those, you know, the Director of Photography, I think
- 14:59really owns his money on this because there are some
- 15:01fantastic. We just when you just asked that
- 15:03question, a moment ago, there was Fantastic shot of the two
- 15:06guys walking across and the mountains behind them, you know,
- 15:11on doctors small miniscule, budget.
- 15:14You got to try and get as much as you can and make the most of
- 15:19it. Whether going to a foreign
- 15:21country is making the most of it.
- 15:22You could argue isn't all it is but I think yeah, I think it
- 15:26looks. I think it's worth it.
- 15:28There's that there's that very funny story that Gareth Thomas
- 15:30tells about them recording a Blake's 7 episode in some dreary
- 15:34English Quarry. And they went.
- 15:36Or what's that noise over the overhaul?
- 15:38Their, will you go over and tell him to shut up and they go for
- 15:40the hill and it's Doctor Who filming on the other side.
- 15:42A bloody Mountain. Well, you're not gonna have that
- 15:44trouble here in Lanzarote. Oh, I started remembering.
- 15:48Sorry. I just, I just remember in
- 15:53Doctor, Who magazine at the time, they used to have that
- 15:55sort of a little cartoon strip called Doctor Who by two guys, I
- 15:59think they're called Tim Quinn and to see how it or something.
- 16:02Yeah. And there's a, in the This panel
- 16:05is it's John nathan-turner and Nicola Bryant carrying the
- 16:08Tardis prop and and John nathan-turner, say well, come on
- 16:12Perry, look on the bright side when we're not in a slate Quarry
- 16:15in Dorset today our way and she's nowhere a slate Quarry in
- 16:17Lanzarote, okay. Speaking of Perry, I am not
- 16:24going to steal this story because turlough is leaving a,
- 16:29he's joining and I'm going to save all of that for you guys in
- 16:33two to four. Or what I want to ask is that
- 16:37this story has an unusual angle to it, which is about religion
- 16:43and faith, and is explored in interesting ways.
- 16:49And obviously, I'm going to point it.
- 16:51You down, you and I want to ask you about this and what you
- 16:54think about, how they deal with it in this story.
- 16:57Do you have any thoughts? The classic series never really
- 17:02has a positive angle on religion.
- 17:05Even when you've got a character like reverent Wayne writing in
- 17:09curse of fenric, he has a loss of Faith because it because of
- 17:14the war and that's that's his downfall.
- 17:19I mean it's interesting because when when I was resolved
- 17:22watching this the other day you were talking about you would
- 17:27release the commentary about Meg loss with Nathan.
- 17:29That kind of similar plots, both dealing with Skeptics versus
- 17:35religious types. So here, instead of Jaclyn Hill
- 17:39you've got Peter wyngarde, both characters are actually Four
- 17:43classic dot to. They're quite sensible.
- 17:47They're not raving lunatics. Raving religious zealots like
- 17:51the guy in the face of evil or I covered all the guy in Power of
- 17:57Crowell. John, I've been here a veneer is
- 17:59character. It was really yeah.
- 18:04And there's one of the things that I couldn't work out is when
- 18:07they talk about logo is logo, the mountain is logo.
- 18:11The volcano is logo, the figure in the silver suit because logo
- 18:16is the figure because I said he saw him and he spoke to him.
- 18:21Yeah. When he was up the mountain
- 18:23later on, he says, he's, he, he saw him an idiom, he spoke to
- 18:27him, Right, because it seemed to be.
- 18:31When they, the two guys went up to the volcano, it was like, oh
- 18:34he isn't here, he isn't here. It's like, well it doesn't, I
- 18:40don't know, maybe just wrangles to me because I, as I ever face
- 18:43of my own, but it's a bit like, you know, Richard Dawkins saying
- 18:47to, you know, I don't know. Brian blessed.
- 18:50Tell you what? Brian go and climb up Everest
- 18:52and see if you can find. God, is he up there, although,
- 18:54we brought use it, you know. It's like for me a god.
- 18:58Isn't a figure. It's a, it's God doesn't have
- 19:03the Christian God or the Jewish. God doesn't have a physical
- 19:05corporeal existence. So it kind of is a bit and all
- 19:12the gods in adults who seem to be sort of a physical
- 19:15manifestation, you got, it's either a giant squid or it's or
- 19:19it's a volcano of the figure of a volcano or it's a, it's a
- 19:22dodecahedron. So almost immediately.
- 19:28It's you've got, it's sort of, it's sort of like a symbolic
- 19:32worship of rather than a spiritual worship.
- 19:35If that makes any sense. You know what I think works is,
- 19:39I think Tim and off is written as a bit of a nutcase like he's
- 19:43sending them off to the Flames at the end, you know, he
- 19:46sacrificed himself and she think despite what Peter Davison may
- 19:50say in the very bitchy commentary where they're
- 19:53laughing, their heads off a win, the girls performance for,
- 19:55Throughout. I actually think he's actually
- 19:58given it layers and he's a bit more thoughtful than that.
- 20:01I think he is quite thoughtful. I think it's only when the
- 20:04master turns up and sort of stirs things up that he then
- 20:08starts to want to put the young believers in the Flames.
- 20:12So, you know, it could be, You could argue that it's extremely
- 20:17unlikely. That Peter grimwade is making a
- 20:21digger to sort of false prophets or Falls privileges or you no
- 20:24hate preachers or Ever. But it is a yeah, I think he's
- 20:28very it's a very considered performance.
- 20:31It's not hammy. I've been saying that just, I'm
- 20:35speaking here shouting is like but it's quite it's quite
- 20:38thoughtful. It's not like it is a bit like
- 20:42Lexa in Meg loss there is, there is a thought to it.
- 20:45There isn't, there is a, he's quite reasonable.
- 20:51But You're right, though? He's convictions quite a cynical
- 20:58portrayal. But as far as this over to Lucy.
- 21:00Now, they do, you think you think religion is something that
- 21:04Doctor Who, which is essentially like a action-adventure show for
- 21:08kids, should tackle given some of the other sort of issues and
- 21:14things that it's tackled. I don't see why it wouldn't, but
- 21:20it would have to be careful with it.
- 21:25Obviously there are people that some people would say that it
- 21:31shouldn't tackle it at all. And would object very
- 21:33strenuously to the depiction of any kind of commentary like
- 21:38that. Yeah, I think that that Peter
- 21:40wind guards are performance, he's more layered, although he
- 21:43was very reasonably telling the lad at the beginning that he'd
- 21:46be given the courage when he when he had to put somebody in
- 21:49the flames and it did no harm to burn the order unbeliever now
- 21:52and again Take, you do to encourage the others.
- 21:58But yeah, it was that I don't know.
- 22:00I mean it's because it is a thing of thing.
- 22:05It because faith is of importance to people.
- 22:09And this is an action adventure drama show.
- 22:13So people who write, either in criticism or in examination or
- 22:20things that are really important to people, need to be careful
- 22:22when they do that. I think within I think faith.
- 22:27In any sort of meaning of the word is actually better handled
- 22:33in the new series. I think episodes like gridlock
- 22:38explore faith in a really interesting.
- 22:41Very moving why? Yeah, it's really I think this
- 22:45is particularly Jody Sera. Faith is seen as a positive, you
- 22:52know, you know, she says at the end of the battle of Run score
- 22:58of Carlos about, you know, keep you that keep the faith and
- 23:02that's two characters who are of a religious persuasion as well.
- 23:07Keep your faith, you know, have hope and also in Demons of the
- 23:11Punjab where she says about faith is and love and that's
- 23:15beautiful. Oh hello.
- 23:17Sorry. You know, I'm going to go from
- 23:20the fourth floor to the facetious now then because
- 23:22there's an awful lot of Skin showing this story.
- 23:25And so there, Dave, Of course. Well, there aren't 10 is or
- 23:34These Foolish for them to have lots of layers on.
- 23:36So I think it's sort of Justified in this story.
- 23:42It's the weird Critter. You think the wafer gonna come
- 23:45and shoes Perry on that boat is gratuitous.
- 23:49No, I'll just think about. Well, if you feel it was just
- 23:57us. Short of a fan can do it.
- 23:59So, Lucy marketing temperatures I don't know that gratuities it
- 24:04was why doesn't he just take his shirt off, Heaven's Sake, if
- 24:08he's gonna swim in the sea, take your shirt off, but I don't
- 24:12know. It's sort of seemed to sort of
- 24:14linger down her back a little bit.
- 24:16And again there's the whole you know, family show thing.
- 24:20One thing else here. Sorry as that we had the course
- 24:22up short period but we never got a close-up shot of Mark
- 24:25striction before he went in the pool, the other so we could see
- 24:27He's ripped muscles, you know, going into the sea and the color
- 24:30was Far Away. Ripped muscles?
- 24:32Are you kidding me, right? He's skinnier than I am.
- 24:35But you know what, what I consider to be the rudest
- 24:39sequence and all of Doctor Who when he takes her into that
- 24:42bedroom in his underpants and her, and her knickers and froze,
- 24:45her on the bed. Yeah, I mean, imagine if a
- 24:49mother of a child acts walked in with the fish fingers at that
- 24:52point, you've like well, what the hell is going on here?
- 24:55They were actually swimming trunks, I think Yeah, yeah.
- 24:58Very very small ones but swimming trunks down the list
- 25:01that budget. In fact, a nudist beach whilst
- 25:21they were shooting. Yeah, it's rescuing Perry and a
- 25:25German nudist of which, obviously, we don't see in short
- 25:29was a hold of Paul Nicola Bryant who appear to be drowning in the
- 25:33water, dashed into rescue her and ruin the show.
- 25:38He gave a good thing at the camera when he was told that all
- 25:41Bailey would be informed about Lee.
- 25:49Yeah, I would love to see that. But you know what, for once.
- 25:55We're getting as much exposure of men as we are of women and
- 26:00actually that's kind of refresh it.
- 26:01So after a lot of years of poor women having you know, stepping
- 26:06around quarry's, wearing nothing but a bell.
- 26:09It's quite nice. That them in a flashing, their
- 26:12B, sorry ugly as well. Can I ask you about this about
- 26:21this bizarre thing, about her dream about her stepfather.
- 26:25What is that? No really, really creepy, isn't
- 26:29it? And that's not something I
- 26:31noticed when I was a child because I know not very old at
- 26:35the time, I would have been what 10, 10 or 9, or 10, and quiet
- 26:40quite a young 9 and 10 at that. But when I watched it during my
- 26:46grand re-watch earlier on, I I was like, what the hell is this?
- 26:52Yeah, that he is abusing her or something, possibly, possibly?
- 26:58Yeah, it might interpret each think about it too much.
- 27:01It's very troubling. It is it's particularly
- 27:04troubling. When you consider what happens
- 27:05to her in every single freaking story afterwards as well.
- 27:10Yeah, pursued and abused by God. Yeah.
- 27:15Everyone thought of that, I'd never thought of she is pretty
- 27:18much lusted after in every story and I don't think, and I think
- 27:24that's actually quite unusual. I think she's only the, she's
- 27:27the only companion that is basically in nearly every story.
- 27:33There's a character in some reference to her and it's
- 27:36normally the villains who make some reference to her being
- 27:39beautiful and tries to. I mean, you know, there's Joe
- 27:42Belle, there's What's his name in showers Jack the quite and
- 27:52even Master as well? Oh yeah, that's lovely.
- 27:57I fight her pleasing. Something.
- 28:00I've just thought about is it's quite nice.
- 28:03When you look at I mean, obviously it's debatable whether
- 28:06the ended and main board wins, you will surely the end of the
- 28:09trail for Time. Lord, when she goes off, the
- 28:11Brian blessed whether that's realistic or not.
- 28:13Or whether that was it. It could happen but it's
- 28:17actually quite nice. It there's a guy in that it
- 28:19doesn't what suffering? And he's more cheaper Lakers or
- 28:21as a woman and as our briefs or female but there was a polling
- 28:26at the end of that is she's you didn't the most awful way she's
- 28:31ever besides if you weren't out of her own.
- 28:33So like it's from the her first story all the way through her
- 28:36tenure to hurl a story. As it's, it's them, I mean, the
- 28:43one thing that she said, when she had the dream was about,
- 28:46don't quote the late that she see or prepare.
- 28:48Yeah, I mean, is it just a stepfather that was quite grown,
- 28:54pretty late? Or for, is it deeper than that,
- 28:56you know, like what were they getting it deal is the big, but
- 28:59we don't need to know. We don't want any little bit.
- 29:01It's yeah, it's notice to drop that in and yeah, as we do
- 29:05anything with it, strangers are 4 oz of are dropped into one of
- 29:09those. Is New Adventures for a second
- 29:12and it's strong enough that then chameleon takes on the form of
- 29:18how it felt. Yeah, yeah.
- 29:21So yeah I'm not sure what's really, really creepy too?
- 29:25Yeah. Because comedian Howard isn't
- 29:27all, you know, nice and smiley and no, sorry I left you on the
- 29:30boat. Did he look at him?
- 29:31He's really creepy. I mean, is I don't nap chameleon
- 29:35because I know one of you is going to talk about, but Jesus
- 29:38Christ, a fucking lie. Hi, Billy.
- 29:40Any that robot just going back to Japan.
- 29:44He apparently the bike, the character background will be
- 29:48never see any of it. As always happens in the 80s.
- 29:51Who is that? Our mom remarried.
- 29:54So, obviously it outright or mom or dad died when she was 13.
- 29:59Apparently, and she felt that her mother cared more about
- 30:02stepfathers feet children than her.
- 30:05So there's a sort of a disconnect But they never really
- 30:11explored that really. I mean is what happened in the
- 30:14repented that big finish audio was I was gonna say yes.
- 30:17So I have any of you heard that the reaping by Joel, its star
- 30:21usable what kind of so it's Perry's homecoming.
- 30:24She goes back to Baltimore and her mum's in it.
- 30:28Played with typical terribleness by Claudia, Christian that
- 30:32Savannah, VAR from Babylon 5, and she drops a name in this
- 30:37story. Mrs. Van Gogh icing him.
- 30:38Sheik I stole your mother's off of that mrs.
- 30:40Wang doctor, she's in that story.
- 30:42They're busy makes him Baltimore.
- 30:43Now off doing whatever they do and she has a very fractious
- 30:48relationship with her mother. So I think the idea was that
- 30:52actually, she has a good relationship with Howard's and a
- 30:56bad relationship with her mom. And that's what Nicola Bryant
- 30:58says in the commentary when she's reading out like the specs
- 31:01she had I think in realization and in that sequence where she's
- 31:05asleep Summit got a bit lost their yeah.
- 31:09Only must the master doing these videos.
- 31:11They don't we do it, dude. Okay.
- 31:13Can we all in quick succession? Just do do is line please.
- 31:18That's not go first. Yeah, I am the master and you
- 31:23look baby. I know that I am the master and
- 31:31you will obey me so sexy your accent, can you?
- 31:37Okay, I I am the master and you will.
- 31:41Oh, baby. Wow.
- 31:51Well, he is pretty campers. Neon City only, I mean, he's
- 31:54often the the behind the scenes of the he's been told to Camp it
- 31:58up and that's one thing that he sort of complained about JMT
- 32:02over the years so he could have played a lot straighter but they
- 32:05said no, no, no more more Arch, more Arch.
- 32:08I think you cancer. Evil.
- 32:10Yeah, she's in this he's a lot Sinister as well.
- 32:18Yeah. I think the most Sinister is
- 32:23when ironically when you don't see him but you hear the
- 32:25Laughing logopolis. Yeah, that's one of the few
- 32:28times as a kid. I was scared of dr.
- 32:32Who particularly, when you cause, you know, from the
- 32:35beginning, when the policeman gets dragged in and then you
- 32:38here, then you see, Auntie Vanessa going in and then you
- 32:41hear the laugh and, you know, that she's a goner.
- 32:44And then in part two, when you see Tegan's in the, in The
- 32:48Cloister area and You hear him? Chuckling you think?
- 32:51Oh no is she going to be a goner but fortunately she you know she
- 32:55survives but it's really a really Sinister laugh.
- 32:58I thought for a split second you left you were good as here in
- 33:01the Kings demons with it on so forth, but that's the compass.
- 33:05He's I'm sorry, I've gotta say please.
- 33:10Master is the one who has the most fun, like slapping on those
- 33:16Daffy disguises. You know, you insulted thinking,
- 33:19I'm gonna help Up myself to him immortality you know he's a God
- 33:25I'm doing that once you miss. I oh my God.
- 33:34Yes, want to talk? You're going to do the kings
- 33:41demon soon ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba.
- 33:46It's a load of shit but I'm sure you'll do it.
- 33:49Just knock on to it. I'll cut it there.
