- 0:00Speaker 1: How do you know what's some signs to know that
- 0:03Speaker 1: the economy is bad.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Um one crime rates are going up like in light
- 0:11Speaker 2: of you know of everything that's going on we talked
- 0:15Speaker 2: about the q50 thing last week but if you look
- 0:18Speaker 2: city in major cities the crime rates are going up
- 0:21Speaker 2: and i talked to somebody uh yesterday they're like even
- 0:24Speaker 2: in juvenile detentions more kids are stealing.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Uh Not out of joy, but out of necessity. Well,
- 0:30Speaker 3: New York crime rates are down.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Shot the Mondami. Shot the Mondami.
- 0:36Speaker 2: But in other cities, crime is going up. Robberies are
- 0:40Speaker 2: going up. Burglaries are going up.
- 0:42Speaker 4: That's a sign.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Also, for me, I keep saying that the work ethic
- 0:46Speaker 2: of the elite and billionaires, it's scary. I keep talking
- 0:51Speaker 2: to one or two people maybe every other week in
- 0:54Speaker 2: the NFL or NBA who keep telling me they're not
- 0:57Speaker 2: making enough money. And they're at 35 and 36 and 39.
- 1:02Speaker 4: These aren't journeymen.
- 1:04Speaker 2: These are the second player on the team or they're
- 1:08Speaker 2: going to be first this year. Not making enough money.
- 1:11Speaker 2: They're in deals. They're investing. They are not underinvested. And
- 1:16Speaker 2: they're saying, well, I'm not making enough. It's scary as
- 1:19Speaker 2: hell to see. And lastly, I talked about it Monday,
- 1:25Speaker 2: but to see McDonald's down, Lowe's down, Netflix is down.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Like the retail sector.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Is getting smacked and everyone acting like everything is okay
- 1:35Speaker 2: and it's not. And there's no recovery period being given.
- 1:38Speaker 2: It's scary. Like Under Armour, even though it may not
- 1:41Speaker 2: be a fan in our culture, that's a mega business.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Under Armour has been underwater for five years.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Bond Mark has been down five years. As much as
- 1:52Speaker 2: they keep saying the yield has go up, if you
- 1:54Speaker 2: look at the long-term chart of the 10 year or
- 1:56Speaker 2: the 30 year, it's been down. It's been in a
- 1:58Speaker 2: half decade recession. It was almost entering a lost decade
- 2:02Speaker 2: for the bond market. But what about you?
- 2:07Speaker 3: You brought up a lot of good points. I'll say this.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I don't want to. This is a little hot take.
- 2:14Speaker 3: It's a hot take.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I was talking to somebody that owns a clothing store,
- 2:19Speaker 1: and they were saying that the clientele not really spending
- 2:24Speaker 1: like how they used to spend a lot. Look, I'll
- 2:27Speaker 1: tell you this. This is controversial hot take.
- 2:31Speaker 4: I got a hot take after you go. Go ahead.
- 2:36Speaker 3: When the street money is dried up.
- 2:38Speaker 4: Yes, it's a sign.
- 2:39Speaker 3: So when you see the street luxury spending slow down. Yes.
- 2:45Speaker 3: When you see the bottle service dry up, the strip
- 2:48Speaker 3: clubs empty.
- 2:49Speaker 4: Yep.
- 2:50Speaker 1: It's a trickle down effect. When you saw the, this
- 2:54Speaker 1: goes back to the 80s, right? When the high flying 80s.
- 2:58Speaker 1: When all the Wall Street, everybody, they trickled down and
- 3:01Speaker 1: they were buying.
- 3:03Speaker 3: A bunch of things.
- 3:03Speaker 4: A bunch of different alternative assets.
- 3:05Speaker 3: They were buying alternative assets. And it was money flowing
- 3:09Speaker 3: in Miami and New York.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Yep.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Chicago.
- 3:12Speaker 3: D.C.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Yep.
- 3:15Speaker 3: During COVID.
- 3:16Speaker 4: Uh-huh.
- 3:17Speaker 1: You seen, you know, however they was getting their PPP money, like,
- 3:24Speaker 1: when you start to see.
- 3:26Speaker 3: That level.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Yep.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Be more fiscally responsible? Early indicator. Yes. There's a street economy.
- 3:38Speaker 4: For sure.
- 3:39Speaker 3: There's an actual street economy.
- 3:40Speaker 4: It keeps a lot of America going.
- 3:42Speaker 3: No, it built Miami.
- 3:44Speaker 4: For sure.
- 3:44Speaker 1: That's something that nobody really wants to talk about. You
- 3:46Speaker 1: should watch Cocaine Cowboys if you're interested. Cocaine Cowboys... lays
- 3:52Speaker 1: out how that street economy built Miami. Miami skyline was
- 3:57Speaker 1: built off of that.
- 3:58Speaker 2: And regardless of the criticism of dude being at InvestFest,
- 4:01Speaker 2: they built a lot of Atlanta.
- 4:03Speaker 3: A hundred percent.
- 4:04Speaker 4: They built a lot of.
- 4:05Speaker 3: They helped out a lot.
- 4:06Speaker 4: A lot.
- 4:06Speaker 3: They helped out a lot.
- 4:07Speaker 4: They raised the value of Buckhead dramatically.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Brookhaven, it's a bunch of value that they created over there,
- 4:14Speaker 2: but that's another conversation for another day.
- 4:17Speaker 3: So when you saw... It's slowed down.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Dramatically.
- 4:21Speaker 1: And I'm hearing this from club owners, clothing store, because
- 4:25Speaker 1: these are the people that these people frequent, right? Clubs, restaurants, clothes.
- 4:31Speaker 1: When that element starts to be more financially, fiscally responsible
- 4:39Speaker 1: because they don't have the money, it's a telltale sign.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Everything else you said, gas prices, of course, everything else
- 4:47Speaker 1: that you said, 100%.
- 4:50Speaker 3: But the street index is real. It's trickling down.
- 4:55Speaker 2: I'm going to be super real. This year, I've had
- 4:57Speaker 2: more nightlife baddies than ever. Normally, you come to New York, yo,
- 5:03Speaker 2: you want to come through? Now it's, could you look
- 5:06Speaker 2: at my portfolio?
- 5:07Speaker 4: What do you think? I'm like, when did you start investing?
- 5:10Speaker 2: The second one, on every playing right now there's a
- 5:14Speaker 2: devout MAGA Republican who's asking me for financial advice like
- 5:20Speaker 2: I'm in Texas normally if you live in like Houston
- 5:23Speaker 2: is Houston but it's still in Texas it's still divided
- 5:26Speaker 2: I'm getting a lot of devout David Duke MAGA Republicans
- 5:32Speaker 2: asking me hey where should I put my money random
- 5:36Speaker 2: and I have no clue who they are scary as
- 5:38Speaker 2: hell when the Republicans come to Negrosito.
- 5:43Speaker 3: It's tight, boy.
- 5:44Speaker 4: The economy is tight. You're not going to Fidelity and Schwab.
- 5:48Speaker 4: You coming to me?
- 5:49Speaker 2: What?
- 5:49Speaker 4: Okay. Gotcha. You got three years. Do what you want
- 5:53Speaker 4: to do.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Three years.
- 5:53Speaker 4: You got three years.
- 5:54Speaker 3: That's a fact.
- 5:55Speaker 2: If you have to pick between Puerto Rico and Dominican,
- 5:57Speaker 2: the little area we're going to pick in since we're
- 5:59Speaker 2: doing beaches.
- 6:02Speaker 3: You want to stay on this PRDR thing, huh?
- 6:06Speaker 2: Well, media training is called a hook. You know, call
- 6:10Speaker 2: and response hook. So, next subject. Back to you, Rashad.
- 6:14Speaker 2: I'm going to get the text, not you. Oh, speaking
- 6:19Speaker 2: of Miami, real quick ad break. October 3rd, I will
- 6:24Speaker 2: be in Miami with my brother Bilal Little at Legacy
- 6:27Speaker 2: Con with Black Professionals Network.
- 6:29Speaker 4: I love y'all. I saw my brother Bilal today at
- 6:32Speaker 4: the exchange.
- 6:33Speaker 2: So on October 3rd, we will be doing an event
- 6:36Speaker 2: at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida and Miami.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Congratulations.

- 6:47Speaker 2: Up, too.
- 6:48Speaker 5: Go ahead.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll wait.
- 6:49Speaker 1: We got time. But we will be at Afrotech, though.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I want to support her. Shout out to Morgan. She
- 6:54Speaker 1: a real one. Afrotech, Houston, Texas.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Pull up, man.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Support the real. Morgan is one of the smartest people.
- 7:03Speaker 1: She's one of the smartest people, and she's one of
- 7:06Speaker 1: the realest people. Like, you know they say, like, look,
- 7:10Speaker 1: she's realer than a lot of dudes.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Oh, for sure. 5'2.
- 7:14Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Smart.
- 7:16Speaker 3: 5'2 woman is realer than a lot of these dudes.
- 7:21Speaker 4: For sure.
- 7:23Speaker 3: 100%, by the way.
- 7:24Speaker 4: Another person.
- 7:25Speaker 3: 100%.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Increasing her output like crazy. I watch all our content.
- 7:30Speaker 2: New series coming out. Kevin on stage. The interview y'all
- 7:33Speaker 2: did with him was fire.
- 7:34Speaker 4: All the creative. Mojo Brooks. Mojo selling out like crazy.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Everyone's creating and doubling down and tripling and quadrupling down
- 7:43Speaker 2: on everything. Because everybody is getting the same message about
- 7:46Speaker 2: three years. I told you, when I get back to
- 7:49Speaker 2: the suit, I own a suit in blackout.
- 7:51Speaker 4: It's all business, you know. Money season.
- 7:53Speaker 3: When you see Ian in the suit, that's an indicator.
- 7:56Speaker 4: I told you.
- 7:56Speaker 3: That's an indicator. Made my rounds. Hey, go to GTS.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Trade boss. I made all the rounds today. Kristen, cool.
- 8:04Speaker 4: ETF Central, everywhere.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Cool.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Make the rounds.
- 8:08Speaker 3: That's a fact. Troy said she's actually 4'10.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 8:13Speaker 3: Yo, she's short.
- 8:14Speaker 1: She's short, but like I said, stand up. Stand up, man.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Shout out to Morgan, man. Stand up person right there.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Can we show the clip? Now, Mike, now we can
- 8:25Speaker 1: show the clip.
- 8:30Speaker 5: I stopped paying on everything. I stopped paying on credit cards.
- 8:35Speaker 5: I stopped everything.
- 8:37Speaker 4: I stopped everything. Was it from a money perspective or
- 8:40Speaker 4: you just.
- 8:42Speaker 5: I had probably $ 8, 000 to my name That's it.
- 8:48Speaker 4: I had a run with that.
- 8:49Speaker 5: I mean, his dad definitely been coming through, helping out
- 8:53Speaker 5: or whatever, but you got to think about it. You
- 8:55Speaker 5: ain't got nothing coming in. You ain't got no room
- 8:58Speaker 5: to be putting nothing out.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Right.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Right. I feel it. How's the relationship with the family now?
- 9:08Speaker 5: We're fine. We don't talk every day. His dad reached
- 9:12Speaker 5: out the most or whatever.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Shout out to Cora.
- 9:15Speaker 5: Yeah, Cora definitely reached out the most. He get the
- 9:17Speaker 5: kids all the time. Make sure they straight.
- 9:20Speaker 4: They need anything.
- 9:20Speaker 5: He called every day last week.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Check.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Okay, so that was Rich Homie Kwan's mother of his
- 9:31Speaker 1: child and his girlfriend.
- 9:33Speaker 3: His girlfriend who is also the mother of his child.
- 9:37Speaker 3: His family.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Essentially, it was like his wife, but they weren't married.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Unfortunate situation. She said that she wasn't even thinking about
- 9:47Speaker 1: life insurance. She said that she was left with.
- 9:51Speaker 3: $ 8, 000.
- 9:52Speaker 1: This is a multi-platinum, multi-platinum selling artist, right? Lifestyle, different,
- 9:58Speaker 1: multiple records. Left with $ 8, 000. That's hard work. And she
- 10:03Speaker 1: had to stop. She said she just stopped paying bills.
- 10:06Speaker 4: You have a choice.
- 10:07Speaker 3: So, once again, unfortunate situation. But there's a few lessons here.
- 10:16Speaker 4: Okay.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Of course, I hate to beat a dead horse, but
- 10:20Speaker 1: estate planning is important. For sure. And nobody thinks they're
- 10:26Speaker 1: going to die. Especially if you're in your 20s, you're
- 10:29Speaker 1: in your 30s. You're in your 40s, really. The first
- 10:33Speaker 1: thought in your head is not, I'm going to die.
- 10:36Speaker 1: It's like, I have time to do this. Everybody thinks
- 10:40Speaker 1: that they have time.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Until you don't have time.
- 10:42Speaker 4: And then you don't.
- 10:45Speaker 3: And then you don't.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Estate planning. Vitally important. estate planning is extremely vitally important.
- 10:53Speaker 3: A will, a trust.
- 10:55Speaker 4: It's very important. I was just talking about this today.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Very important.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Because where'd the money go? I'm pretty sure he had
- 11:02Speaker 1: more than $ 8, 000 to his name.
- 11:05Speaker 4: You would hope so.
- 11:05Speaker 2: But given the industry that he's in and how predatory,
- 11:09Speaker 2: when I sat down with surf, he said an artist
- 11:11Speaker 2: has four major moments in his life to sell an album.
- 11:17Speaker 4: One is when you die.
- 11:18Speaker 2: And two, if you kill somebody, So if this is
- 11:21Speaker 2: the business model of, who said the Dare Rappers get
- 11:24Speaker 2: better promotion?
- 11:25Speaker 4: Was it J.R.R.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Styles?
- 11:27Speaker 2: If this is a part of the system that's been
- 11:29Speaker 2: going on for 25 years, I wouldn't be surprised if
- 11:33Speaker 2: on the contract side he didn't have more than that.
- 11:36Speaker 4: It's a predatory business.
- 11:37Speaker 3: More than $ 8, 000?
- 11:38Speaker 4: You'll be surprised, bro. A lot of artists don't have.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Why do you think they'd still be in the streets
- 11:48Speaker 4: and scamming?
- 11:56Speaker 2: Even if he had, let's say, 100 grand, to move
- 12:00Speaker 2: a million units, talk about robbery.
