Hope House in Liberty Hill is getting a lifesaving new flood warning system called River Sentry, installed just a year after catastrophic Fourth of July floods that destroyed parts of the facility and claimed a staff member’s life. This advanced alert system uses loud sirens, automated voice messages, and flashing lights to wake residents and guide them to safety before floodwaters surge — especially critical since last year’s floods rose alarmingly fast. Designed specifically for Central Texas, River Sentry can even link with other towers miles away to create a regional warning network…
