- 0:10Speaker 2: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:14Speaker 2: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Maley, along with
- 0:17Speaker 2: Trey Trenholm and Rebecca Black. Welcome to today's program. Today
- 0:24Speaker 2: on the show when things get awkward in first class,
- 0:33Speaker 2: guess that sound. I'm so excited for this one, not
- 0:39Speaker 2: just for me, but for you as well. And the
- 0:43Speaker 2: McDonald's CEO has responded. McDonald's CEO has done his first
- 0:48Speaker 2: interview since going viral after eating a big arch on
- 0:52Speaker 2: his Instagram account. But I think it's important we start
- 0:57Speaker 2: with some of the biggest news of the day. Tray,
- 1:02Speaker 2: you saw an important video on social media in regards
- 1:05Speaker 2: to the Artemis to Orion crew. Please tell us what
- 1:09Speaker 2: Please tell us, Please share with us what you saw.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Well as you know, as it happens, and you know,
- 1:15Speaker 1: I think all our devices are listening to us. Yesterday
- 1:18Speaker 1: we talked about the Artemist mission and in some of
- 1:21Speaker 1: the conspiracy theories that have always you know, did we
- 1:23Speaker 1: go to the moon, flat earthers everything else? So I
- 1:28Speaker 1: saw a video and I watched it. I immediately start
- 1:35Speaker 1: emailing Dan and then you know, Instagram does what. It
- 1:39Speaker 1: makes me so mad when then I go back for
- 1:42Speaker 1: the video and then it's reset and I'm I.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Can't find it.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Did you try searching for it?
- 1:51Speaker 1: Yes?
- 1:52Speaker 3: And no.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Anyways, this guy uh one of the beautiful images that
- 2:02Speaker 1: Artemis captured of Earth, you know that high deaf shot that. Yeah,
- 2:07Speaker 1: you compare it to the old Apollo picture and it's
- 2:10Speaker 1: just fibrant. It looks so magnificent. And he posed, you know,
- 2:15Speaker 1: he goes explaining why this was fake, and he goes,
- 2:19Speaker 1: you know, if this was real, you where are the satellites?
- 2:21Speaker 1: There's supposed to be like fifteen thousand satellites orbiting the Earth.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Is was he expecting the satellites to show up like
- 2:31Speaker 2: rings around Saturn?
- 2:32Speaker 3: Apparently?
- 2:33Speaker 1: Yes, he was that that they should be you know, visible.
- 2:38Speaker 3: That would be an obstructed view the.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Y.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Just imagine you get on a NASA flight finally and
- 2:46Speaker 4: you moved up with the pole right.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Slow the window.
- 2:54Speaker 2: See, that would be my luck if I was ever
- 2:56Speaker 2: on one of those like Blue Origin or SpaceX rock
- 3:00Speaker 2: At flights for private citizens. I'm going to it's been
- 3:02Speaker 2: two hundred and fifty thousand. Well, no, I'm not, because
- 3:05Speaker 2: I don't have it, but for twenty five grand you
- 3:07Speaker 2: could get an obstructed view. It's basically just staring at
- 3:10Speaker 2: Katie Perry's ass.
- 3:16Speaker 4: Oh god, So I guess the.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Distance didn't register with this particular gentleman's.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Well, or the sheer size of the Earth and the
- 3:32Speaker 1: fact that a giant satellite is the size of a
- 3:37Speaker 1: school bus. Yeah.
- 3:39Speaker 2: So it's been a while since I've thought about this,
- 3:43Speaker 2: So help me if this is correct. Isn't the Moon
- 3:47Speaker 2: like ninety two million miles from Earth somewhere in that
- 3:52Speaker 2: somewhere in that it's far. It's pretty goddamn far. I
- 3:58Speaker 2: don't think you'd be able to see a satellite from
- 4:00Speaker 2: ninety two blocks, let alone ninety two million miles.
- 4:07Speaker 1: So well, that's again when you're far enough away that
- 4:14Speaker 1: you can see the entire planet. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that
- 4:20Speaker 1: is like saying I can't see a spec of you know,
- 4:24Speaker 1: from ten feet away, going I can't see a speck
- 4:27Speaker 1: of dust on my desk, it must be clean.
- 4:31Speaker 4: You know.
- 4:31Speaker 2: The ultimate irony here is that while that guy couldn't
- 4:36Speaker 2: see the satellites, we could all see his stupid and
- 4:40Speaker 2: it was shining so bright across the cosmos.
- 4:43Speaker 3: He's a star.
- 4:45Speaker 2: He is, He's a star of stupid. I congratulations, we
- 4:51Speaker 2: named the star after you.
- 4:54Speaker 1: It's like, you know, if you're flying at thirty five
- 4:58Speaker 1: thousand feet and you look down and you know, well,
- 5:01Speaker 1: there must not be cars, because why can't I see
- 5:04Speaker 1: a car? Yeah?
- 5:04Speaker 3: Great point, haven't you know that?
- 5:08Speaker 4: I see it?
- 5:08Speaker 2: But I still see a whole lot of stupid about
- 5:12Speaker 2: a certain point. It's all I can see. It's like
- 5:14Speaker 2: a big stupid eclipse.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Just this.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:17Speaker 3: My favorite part of interneting these days is now we've
- 5:20Speaker 3: given people access twenty four to seven to say whatever
- 5:24Speaker 3: stupid thought pops into their head without any thought process whatsoever.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Well, it's it's it is. Also, it is my explanation
- 5:34Speaker 1: for gen Z because.
- 5:37Speaker 3: No critical thinking skills.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Well, so gen Z.
- 5:42Speaker 1: The gen X is responsible for gen Z. Basically gen
- 5:46Speaker 1: X raised gen Z like their parents, our parents raised us.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Which was kind of a combination of they'll figure it
- 5:53Speaker 1: out in FAFO, but did they? Yeah? But but what
- 5:59Speaker 1: they didn't count on is the Internet and social media.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Because where I said, if I decided I wanted to
- 6:08Speaker 1: be a cat in nineteen eighty three, where would you
- 6:12Speaker 1: start the World Book Encyclopedia.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Yeah, go to the library.
- 6:16Speaker 1: And look up the Dewey decimal system and you know,
- 6:18Speaker 1: try to figure out. No, well you would eventually someone
- 6:22Speaker 1: would go, you're an idiot, stop it, you're not. Now
- 6:27Speaker 1: they can go online and find a group of a
- 6:30Speaker 1: support group of oh, yes we are cats too.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Yes, and so we are cats Subreddit.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, kiddy palooza.
- 6:41Speaker 3: That doesn't bother me. If you want to be a cat,
- 6:42Speaker 3: be a cat all day, but at least know your
- 6:44Speaker 3: science and space stuff.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Like, come on, you know what that's that's actually all
- 6:49Speaker 2: the point. It's like, dress is a cat, lick yourself whatever,
- 6:53Speaker 2: But understand, but understand why you can't see a satellite from.
- 6:57Speaker 4: The Yes, yes, that that's actually pretty solid thing.
- 7:01Speaker 2: It's like, if you want to be ridiculous, that's fine,
- 7:03Speaker 2: but at least have a grasp on the fundamentals.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Well, and not even from the moon. I mean, you're
- 7:10Speaker 1: they weren't because where that picture was taken, they weren't
- 7:12Speaker 1: at the moon. They were probably I mean, hell they
- 7:16Speaker 1: they might have only been ten million miles away.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Yeah, but still, well, then clearly have.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Some understanding of you know, some perspective on size, like.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Space is infinite? Do we not know this? Yeah, it's infinite.
- 7:29Speaker 3: It just keeps going. It's huge.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Well, but anything if you don't understand clearly how big
- 7:38Speaker 1: the planet is, yeah, yeah, wild to me. And then
- 7:42Speaker 1: you go, oh, I can't see a satellite or fifteen
- 7:44Speaker 1: thousand of them. Well yeah, from that distance, they're like
- 7:47Speaker 1: specks of dust.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it is. It is a never ending fascination of mine.
- 7:55Speaker 2: How willing so many people are to share with the
- 7:59Speaker 2: world just how stupid they are and not realize that
- 8:05Speaker 2: that's what they're doing. Because I mean, that's that's what
- 8:07Speaker 2: happens when you're that stupid, is you don't realize you're
- 8:10Speaker 2: that stupid.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Well, but they also have other people that are that stupid,
- 8:15Speaker 1: going oh yeah, that's great.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Yeah, because ignorance is bliss.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Well and and for the first time, unlike when we
- 8:24Speaker 1: were growing up, even now you surround yourself with people
- 8:29Speaker 1: that go, no, you're an f an idiot. They have
- 8:33Speaker 1: people that are like, my god, you you you're brilliant.
- 8:38Speaker 1: How did I not think of that?
- 8:41Speaker 2: It seems to me now now you said this looked
- 8:44Speaker 2: to be like a gen Z kid saying why is
- 8:46Speaker 2: it that we can't see the satellites from Artemis to it.
- 8:49Speaker 4: Clearly, this whole mission's fake.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Yes, so.
- 8:54Speaker 2: In the over protection of our youth by not letting
- 8:59Speaker 2: them go outside to the extent that we all did
- 9:03Speaker 2: when we were kids, and instead making sure that they
- 9:07Speaker 2: are always with an eyesight of you, or they're inside,
- 9:12Speaker 2: and in order to keep them occupied, you throw a
- 9:15Speaker 2: tablet in front of their face. So it's like you're
- 9:18Speaker 2: so worried about these kids being kidnapped on the street
- 9:23Speaker 2: that you don't think about their brains being snatched in
- 9:26Speaker 2: the living room, throw a tablet hooked up to the Internet.
- 9:30Speaker 4: And that's where we've gone wrong.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Truly, brains one extreme to the other.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Absolutely, brains are being snatched underneath your own roof. It's
- 9:41Speaker 2: coming from inside the house, and you're letting it happen.
- 9:46Speaker 2: You need to This sounds like such an old man thing,
- 9:49Speaker 2: but God's true. You can't just let your kids run
- 9:53Speaker 2: amok on the Internet. You need to keep an eye
- 9:55Speaker 2: on what it is they're looking at, what they're doing,
- 9:57Speaker 2: what they're watching, who they're interact with.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Oh, that's called parenting, Dan, We don't do that anymore.
- 10:06Speaker 3: The iPad shut up.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Just be quiet well, and and the other thing. And
- 10:14Speaker 1: I actually once said this to my ex if someone
- 10:17Speaker 1: did kidnap them, they'll they'll return them because they're that
- 10:20Speaker 1: big of a pain in the ass.
- 10:25Speaker 3: I can guarantee, I promise you. My parents said that
- 10:29Speaker 3: to me. They're like, we know you're safe because you'll
- 10:31Speaker 3: talk them to death exactly. And this is facts I
- 10:36Speaker 3: would have I would have. It would have been never
- 10:38Speaker 3: ending vomit word vomit.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Yeah, take her back. We can't, we can't stand it.
- 10:43Speaker 2: She chewed right through the gag. There's the stock, all
- 10:45Speaker 2: of it. She just right through it. Does that is troubling,
- 10:53Speaker 2: And I think I think the most troubling part about
- 10:56Speaker 2: it is that the stupid don't know they're stupid, and
- 11:01Speaker 2: instead it's the opposite. Like this guy posted this video saying, oh,
- 11:04Speaker 2: where the satellites? This must all be fake, just like
- 11:06Speaker 2: they faked the moon landing back in you know, in
- 11:08Speaker 2: the sixties. They're convinced their rights so much so this
- 11:14Speaker 2: guy was so convinced he was right he went to
- 11:16Speaker 2: the Internet to share with everyone his so called evidence
- 11:20Speaker 2: that that this is all fake, and in reality, he
- 11:23Speaker 2: just gave everyone evidence of how dumb he is. So
- 11:27Speaker 2: on one hand, I appreciate that because at least you're
- 11:29Speaker 2: putting it out there, and now it's not as much
- 11:32Speaker 2: of an investigation anymore to find out how stupid or
- 11:36Speaker 2: if someone is stupid, you just sit back and wait
- 11:39Speaker 2: five minutes, they'll show you. Yeah, it's like, what was
- 11:44Speaker 2: that like the Alan Richson the star Reacher when that
- 11:49Speaker 2: whole thing was happening with the fight with his neighbor,
- 11:51Speaker 2: and he posted that Napoleon quote, never interrupt your enemy
- 11:55Speaker 2: when he's making a mistake. And that's exactly kind of
- 11:59Speaker 2: like what the internet is like. You can easily go, whoa,
- 12:02Speaker 2: you know what, doe continue, just let it all out.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Let me see how dumb you are. I would like
- 12:08Speaker 2: to see the breadth of your stupidity. What's larger your
- 12:13Speaker 2: stupidity or our planet? And then watch them fight.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Well, it's like you just go and I look this
- 12:20Speaker 1: up the US. I think I said it was approximately
- 12:23Speaker 1: four million square miles. Okay, now think of that the
- 12:29Speaker 1: United States, not North America, just the United States. And
- 12:32Speaker 1: then in context of just when you see a globe
- 12:37Speaker 1: that that you know, if you saw a picture of
- 12:40Speaker 1: North America from like that as the Earth, So I
- 12:47Speaker 1: guess half it would be, you know, a tenth.
- 12:54Speaker 3: This is like you know when people dumb down money
- 12:56Speaker 3: for us, you know when they're like when they compare
- 12:59Speaker 3: the million dollars to a billion dollars. It's the same thing,
- 13:02Speaker 3: just with like the size of the Earth, right, Like
- 13:08Speaker 3: like maybe that's what we should be doing. Do we
- 13:10Speaker 3: need a dumb down earth miles or something?
- 13:13Speaker 4: Yes, it appears.
- 13:15Speaker 2: So it's like it's like when the bum is it
- 13:17Speaker 2: not Felix Bumgardner but the bum Gardener guy who went
- 13:20Speaker 2: to like lower orbit and did the Red Bull jump?
- 13:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it was what I think it was Felix.
- 13:27Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure his last name was bum Guardeny. Okay,
- 13:30Speaker 2: So you get that guy and with the Red Bull
- 13:32Speaker 2: sponsorship and he goes to you know, like sub orbit
- 13:36Speaker 2: or whatever and then just jumps back to the planet.
- 13:39Speaker 2: It'd be like if he got up there and said,
- 13:42Speaker 2: I can't see my house, this is all fake.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Yes, Oh well then he must be right. Good job,
- 13:51Speaker 3: red Bull guy.
- 13:52Speaker 4: I mean he's right there. I mean if he can't see.
- 13:54Speaker 3: It, then clearly it doesn't exist.
- 13:58Speaker 1: I I really I gotta find that guy's account, because
- 14:00Speaker 1: I'm sure he has oh absolutely ground breaking recording on
- 14:07Speaker 1: Norad Sanda Tracker.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I want to see his Christmas Eve live.
- 14:17Speaker 4: Oh God.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Speaking of things that you wish would go away, the
- 14:21Speaker 2: McDonald's CEO did his first interview since going viral on
- 14:25Speaker 2: his Instagram account when he tried eating a big arch
- 14:29Speaker 2: from McDonald's.
- 14:31Speaker 4: And there are just certain things that.
- 14:37Speaker 2: You can't prepare yourself for, right, and I believe this
- 14:41Speaker 2: was one of them.
- 14:43Speaker 4: Rebecca, did you see the original video of Chris Kempinski
- 14:46Speaker 4: eating the big arch that went viral?
- 14:49Speaker 3: I did, but now there's been so many other CEOs
- 14:52Speaker 3: that have come out. I don't remember what happened.
- 14:56Speaker 4: So he.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Recorded a video on his personal Instagram account. It's CEO
- 15:02Speaker 2: of mcal CEO of McDonald's.
- 15:04Speaker 4: And it's him.
- 15:07Speaker 2: He's he takes this little bite and then he's trying
- 15:09Speaker 2: to describe the big arch as he eats it, right
- 15:13Speaker 2: and let me let me hang ones, let me see
- 15:14Speaker 2: if I can find it real quick, uh.
- 15:17Speaker 4: C c e O.
- 15:20Speaker 2: And it really is one of the most awkward eating
- 15:25Speaker 2: things I've ever seen.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Quite honestly, I feel like all the CEO ones that
- 15:30Speaker 3: I've seen have been awkward.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Well, his was because not only he almost you know,
- 15:36Speaker 1: looks like a vegan marathon runner.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Yeah, he has never eaten the McDonald's guaranteed.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Yeah, and if he did eat it, that's it feels
- 15:46Speaker 1: like you would eat it with a knife and fork
- 15:48Speaker 1: and and yeah, and it his wording was bad. He
- 15:56Speaker 1: looked just completely awkward. He took what most people would
- 16:00Speaker 1: consider a nibble. Now, granted, I will say this because
- 16:03Speaker 1: I went and had one after all, that it's a
- 16:07Speaker 1: big burger.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Yeah, But so it's not that he just took a
- 16:12Speaker 2: small bite. It's that he took a small bite of
- 16:14Speaker 2: a really large burger.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Yes, I mean, I mean it's but again, you're you're
- 16:22Speaker 1: the CEO of McDonald's. You should know the size of this.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Burger or pick a smaller burger, have a.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Make you a special one there. You have the resources, right.
- 16:35Speaker 3: So you are able to tell them exactly what you need.
- 16:38Speaker 2: So here's our refresher at the McDonald's ceo taking a
- 16:41Speaker 2: nibble of the Big.
- 16:42Speaker 5: Arch here with you've heard about it here It is
- 16:47Speaker 5: the Big Arch. This is something that we have tested
- 16:50Speaker 5: already in Portugal, Germany, Canada.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I love this product. It is.
- 16:57Speaker 3: The love this product.
- 16:59Speaker 2: That's the part that a lot of people latched onto
- 17:01Speaker 2: like a burger and didn't let go. It's spoken like
- 17:05Speaker 2: a true CEO. I love this product.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Oh God.
- 17:09Speaker 2: I also love it by the way that these fast
- 17:11Speaker 2: food places love to do test market research in other countries,
- 17:15Speaker 2: so they make sure that the other people get it
- 17:18Speaker 2: first before they bring it to America for the quote
- 17:20Speaker 2: unquote real audience.
- 17:23Speaker 1: So good.
- 17:23Speaker 5: I'm gonna do a tasting right now, but I'm gonna
- 17:25Speaker 5: eat this for my lunch, just so you know.
- 17:27Speaker 4: So here we go. First, Holy cow, god, that is
- 17:31Speaker 4: a big burger.
- 17:32Speaker 5: We've got a very unique kind of sesame poppy sort
- 17:37Speaker 5: of bun on it. We've got two quarter pound patties,
- 17:42Speaker 5: a delicious big arch sauce, and of course some lettuce.
- 17:46Speaker 4: So oh, there's so much going on with this.
- 17:49Speaker 2: And it's like I told Trey a couple of weeks ago,
- 17:51Speaker 2: and this one viral. This is why guy Fiedi makes
- 17:53Speaker 2: so much goddamn money, just because he actually sounds excited
- 17:56Speaker 2: to eat the food. He describes it in a nice
- 17:58Speaker 2: way as a to I love this product, and I
- 18:02Speaker 2: just want to make sure I don't get any big
- 18:05Speaker 2: art sauce on my sweater vest.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Also, this man is tiny, no wonder the burger looks
- 18:11Speaker 3: so big in his tiny little hands.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely would have been good for his ego for
- 18:18Speaker 2: them to manufacture a smaller burger.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Well, it's something else, Danny. You mentioned about them testing
- 18:23Speaker 1: it in other countries, because the US is so open
- 18:27Speaker 1: minded culinary, especially the culinary stuff.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Also, why would you test a giant food option in
- 18:36Speaker 3: another country? They all hate us because our portions are gigantic.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Because over there, I think in some countries, if they
- 18:45Speaker 2: do the if they do the American size, in those places,
- 18:49Speaker 2: it's kind of seemed like a novelty made us here.
- 18:52Speaker 4: We see it as like, yeah, I gotta get lunch.
- 18:54Speaker 2: There it's like look at this crazy said which the
- 18:57Speaker 2: Yanks are making us eat, And it's like four people
- 18:59Speaker 2: around on the table with one hamburger going like this
- 19:02Speaker 2: is a lot, and it's.
- 19:03Speaker 1: So the burger is so big, and I can put
- 19:07Speaker 1: down some food. I couldn't even finish it.
- 19:11Speaker 3: I bet I could.
- 19:12Speaker 1: I know, I feel like, okay, I could have bet
- 19:15Speaker 1: I would have been quite uncomfortable.
- 19:17Speaker 4: She could showing off either will power.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Right, I know, I'm like, well, why what's the point
- 19:23Speaker 3: of not eating all of it?
- 19:27Speaker 4: What kind of cycle paths eating till they're full?
- 19:30Speaker 3: Yeah, you crazy lady.
- 19:33Speaker 4: I've tried doing that and I can't.
- 19:35Speaker 2: You know, the only way around that for me is
- 19:37Speaker 2: to only put on my plate the right amount, because
- 19:40Speaker 2: whatever's in front of me, I will inhale it.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Same. Why else would I go to McDonald Come.
- 19:45Speaker 4: On, try to get this thing.
- 19:48Speaker 5: I don't even know how to attack it got so
- 19:50Speaker 5: much to it.
- 19:52Speaker 4: I don't know how to eat anyway. You get the idea.
- 19:55Speaker 2: He went viral and uh, you know, it got us
- 19:58Speaker 2: all talking about McDonald's and the big it's so much
- 20:00Speaker 2: so Tray wouldn't got one. Well, like I said, now
- 20:03Speaker 2: he's done his first interview since going viral. So here
- 20:07Speaker 2: here is Chris Kimpinski, the CEO McDonald's, talking to the
- 20:10Speaker 2: Wall Street Journal about going viral.
- 20:14Speaker 5: From one of my kids, and they said, Dad, you've
- 20:18Speaker 5: gone viral, not in a good way.
- 20:23Speaker 4: Guts back to him eating the burger in the video.
- 20:26Speaker 1: That is so good.
- 20:27Speaker 5: And so that's when I knew, like, Okay, something's going on.
- 20:30Speaker 5: And then yeah, I started getting texts and emails and calls.
- 20:36Speaker 5: You know, invariably they were all like, hey, have you
- 20:39Speaker 5: seen this? And it's like, by the thousand times, yeah,
- 20:41Speaker 5: I've seen it.
- 20:42Speaker 3: What do you think of the reaction?
- 20:44Speaker 5: For me, it was one of those things where it's
- 20:47Speaker 5: great that people are talking about the big arch and
- 20:51Speaker 5: I think when you go on to social media in general,
- 20:53Speaker 5: you have to have a thick skin.
- 20:54Speaker 4: So what do you think of some of the criticisms?
- 20:56Speaker 5: As you can see, I took a huge bite because
- 20:59Speaker 5: this is so good.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Mouth is closed, microscopic bite size, fighting demons to hold
- 21:04Speaker 2: it in contemplating career path.
- 21:07Speaker 4: You know, I think of some of the videos, say
- 21:08Speaker 4: you took a small bite. Maybe you don't even like
- 21:10Speaker 4: your own burgers?
- 21:11Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 21:11Speaker 4: You know, are you secretly a vegetarian?
- 21:13Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 21:15Speaker 5: Well yeah, I'm definitely not a vegetarian. I think, you know,
- 21:18Speaker 5: I blame it all on my mom because she told
- 21:21Speaker 5: me don't talk with your mouthful, and I think probably
- 21:23Speaker 5: in that case, I should have just said, you know, what,
- 21:26Speaker 5: the hell with it, I'm gonna go talk with my mouthful.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Know your audience, Bro, you're the freaking CEO of McDonald's.
- 21:33Speaker 3: How do you not know that we are just a fat,
- 21:36Speaker 3: grotesque people? That want to slop that burger directly into
- 21:40Speaker 3: our pie holes and talk with our mouths full.
- 21:43Speaker 2: How do you not know that because he's too high
- 21:47Speaker 2: up in his C suite.
- 21:51Speaker 3: I mean, come on, dude, he could have look at
- 21:55Speaker 3: the graphs that you show other people. You could have
- 21:58Speaker 3: looked at those prior to eating a burger.
- 22:01Speaker 4: Or you know what else you can do. Just go
- 22:02Speaker 4: to a McDonald's.
- 22:03Speaker 3: Just go watch for an hour and you've got all
- 22:07Speaker 3: of your bases covered.
- 22:10Speaker 2: You have an idea of your audience if you just
- 22:12Speaker 2: go go, you know, And that's the problem.
- 22:15Speaker 4: This is what happens, and this is this is this
- 22:16Speaker 4: is a symptom of.
- 22:18Speaker 2: A larger problem in corporate America, period, not just with McDonald's.
- 22:22Speaker 2: And that is the out of touch CEO thinking that
- 22:25Speaker 2: he's in every man or she's in every woman whatever.
- 22:28Speaker 2: It's like, no, no, no, no. When you are taste testing
- 22:30Speaker 2: your new product at the breakfast table inside your fortieth
- 22:38Speaker 2: floor penthouse office suite, you're a little out of touch.
- 22:43Speaker 2: So I'm not saying you should go eat with the pleabs, but.
- 22:48Speaker 4: Don't pretend to be one.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Yeah, in your office like that, when the sandwich is
- 22:53Speaker 2: brought to you, I grew like a human and see
- 22:56Speaker 2: what happens.
- 22:56Speaker 3: I almost would have appreciated his video more if he
- 22:59Speaker 3: had just started it out with, Look, I have never
- 23:02Speaker 3: touched a McDonald's burger in my entire life, and today
- 23:05Speaker 3: is the first day that we test out my products.
- 23:08Speaker 4: I would have appreciated. Yeah, I would sign up for
- 23:12Speaker 4: that show.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Yeah, each week a new menu item that the CEO
- 23:16Speaker 2: of McDonald's has to eat, because you know he's never
- 23:19Speaker 2: touched that show.
- 23:20Speaker 1: No, well, and maybe he has, but then at least
- 23:25Speaker 1: be like like the Taco Bell commercial, and he should
- 23:27Speaker 1: have flipped the camera around and shown that he has
- 23:29Speaker 1: his own McDonald's in his office.
- 23:31Speaker 4: That would have been cool. See, I'm good with that.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeah, instead of CEO out of touch, CEO flex now
- 23:38Speaker 2: I'm on board.
- 23:40Speaker 1: And he goes down to the second floor because he
- 23:42Speaker 1: takes the slide of it.
- 23:44Speaker 3: I love that.
- 23:44Speaker 2: And inside his McDonald's, inside his office, his ice cream
- 23:49Speaker 2: machine works.

- 26:26Speaker 2: the Treehouse now, I'm Dan along with Trey and Rebecca
- 26:29Speaker 2: making fun of the McDonald's CEO. And now we'll transition
- 26:33Speaker 2: into something we've not done in a very long time,
- 26:37Speaker 2: and that is guess this sound? Ah ah, hold on.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Say that part of my life is over. Oh my god.
- 27:13Speaker 4: You just don't realize how much tension is in there
- 27:15Speaker 4: until until it's gone. So I know what I want
- 27:20Speaker 4: that sound to be.
- 27:24Speaker 2: But based on the reaction I saw in your face, Rebecca,
- 27:28Speaker 2: I think you know what this is, Trey.
- 27:30Speaker 4: Do you know what this sound is?
- 27:34Speaker 1: The McDonald's ceo after he took a bite of the.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Oh that is correct, Tray. That is the McDonald's ceo
- 27:52Speaker 2: after he ate the big arch for lunch. Rebecca, what
- 28:00Speaker 2: do you think that sound is? I?
- 28:03Speaker 3: So do you care that I know the answer?
- 28:05Speaker 4: Please? That's why I'm going to you now, all right.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Just making sure it is Leanne Rhymes and she's getting
- 28:10Speaker 3: like her jaw unclinched or something.
- 28:13Speaker 2: I love that you've that you've started using my word unclinched. Yeah,
- 28:18Speaker 2: that's all you, because that is absolutely what it is.
- 28:21Speaker 2: This is Leanne Rhymes getting her jaw released. So here's
- 28:25Speaker 2: the actual video on her back and she's gone.
- 28:32Speaker 4: Fingers all up in her jaw.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Now I don't know, I know that she's that she's
- 28:40Speaker 2: had some you know, teeth problems and stuff. I think
- 28:41Speaker 2: she's got like I do, uh, pariodontal disease and stuff,
- 28:46Speaker 2: but this is something different. Like she's basically having trigger
- 28:49Speaker 2: point therapy done on her jaw, so it's all the
- 28:53Speaker 2: way back up on that muscle and anything else that's
- 28:59Speaker 2: back there to get released. And I can't fathom how
- 29:05Speaker 2: painful that must be. Although it's all over her face,
- 29:13Speaker 2: she's like just straight up just like ugly crying is.
- 29:17Speaker 3: The ugliest cry. Like we used to make fun of
- 29:20Speaker 3: Kim Kardashian for being the ugly crier. No, no, Leanne
- 29:23Speaker 3: Ryan's is tier one. Now.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, look at a certain point, you can't
- 29:28Speaker 2: be I don't know, you can't be a jerk about
- 29:31Speaker 2: it because she put this out herself, and it was like,
- 29:34Speaker 2: look at this, Look what I let these people do
- 29:36Speaker 2: to me. And here's my favorite part is she paid
- 29:38Speaker 2: these people for this.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I'd be too embarrassed to put this out.
- 29:43Speaker 4: Yeah, she lets it all hang out though. I mean
- 29:46Speaker 4: she is.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Hard, ugly, can't get the breast.
- 29:56Speaker 4: She's holding.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Her face is over.
- 30:00Speaker 4: Oh my god, you just don't realize how much tension
- 30:06Speaker 4: is in there until un till that's gone. Oh you
- 30:11Speaker 4: have either of you ever had.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Mile fascial release, trigger point therapy or just a really
- 30:18Speaker 2: deep tissue massage.
- 30:20Speaker 3: I mean I've had a deep tissue massage, but no
- 30:22Speaker 3: like pressure point stuff.
- 30:25Speaker 4: Trey, have you I feel like you have?
- 30:27Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 30:27Speaker 4: Yeah, hurts, don't it.
- 30:31Speaker 2: But so, way back way back before I started radio,
- 30:34Speaker 2: I worked in a rehab facility at a chiropractic clinic,
- 30:37Speaker 2: and so they taught me some of this stuff very rudimentary.
- 30:41Speaker 2: I mean I was like eighteen nineteen years old. My
- 30:43Speaker 2: hands were not in leen Ryme's mouth.
- 30:45Speaker 4: That wasn't that that.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Stuff, but your wife ockay woman, let me tell you.
- 30:52Speaker 4: But the guy that was trads good holdess. It gets me,
- 30:55Speaker 4: I just know it.
- 30:56Speaker 2: So the guy that trained me made me do it
- 30:58Speaker 2: on him.
- 31:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:00Speaker 2: So uh, this is the guy who wanted who's like
- 31:02Speaker 2: a bodybuilder type guy. And he was teaching me like
- 31:05Speaker 2: on like where the certain spots are, and there's one
- 31:09Speaker 2: like it's just it's where your your lat is, just
- 31:11Speaker 2: underneath your armpit.
- 31:13Speaker 4: And he told me to squeeze and like squeeze, squeeze, squeeze,
- 31:17Speaker 4: and I did. I'm like there's no way that this
- 31:19Speaker 4: can be helping this man. This is this looks terrible.
- 31:22Speaker 2: I saw I made a full on fist with this
- 31:26Speaker 2: spot underneath his armpit, in his in his uh, in
- 31:29Speaker 2: his lat and I saw a tear run out of
- 31:32Speaker 2: his eye and he.
- 31:33Speaker 4: Was like, good job. Like this this stuff's messed up.
- 31:36Speaker 4: I'm like, they're like, am I being punked?
- 31:38Speaker 1: Oh? When I used to get acupuncture, they would hit
- 31:42Speaker 1: he would put in that spot and there were times
- 31:47Speaker 1: it was the closest thing to a non sexual orgasm
- 31:51Speaker 1: you could have when after because initially it hurts like hell,
- 31:55Speaker 1: but then like there was one time I remember I
- 31:58Speaker 1: was about to go to the hospital they thought having
- 32:00Speaker 1: a gall bladder problem, and he goes boop and literally
- 32:04Speaker 1: you could hear we all heard it ld like the
- 32:07Speaker 1: not unwind and I have It was I've never felt
- 32:14Speaker 1: such release. Like it was like all I'd been in
- 32:17Speaker 1: pain for days and then all of a sudden, I
- 32:18Speaker 1: was like, oh my god, it's over. Like I literally
- 32:21Speaker 1: I saw the leam Rhyme's video and I was like
- 32:24Speaker 1: the old lady from when Harry met Sally. I was like,
- 32:26Speaker 1: I'll have what she's having, you know.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Put those hands of mama.
- 32:30Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, signed me up. I got next.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:37Speaker 2: It's interesting because in a session with Gary Lynham, co
- 32:41Speaker 2: founder of Human Garage in California, this is a resource
- 32:45Speaker 2: for self healing practices, Rhyme's received an intra oral massage
- 32:50Speaker 2: releasing the tension in her jaw. She seemed to instantly
- 32:53Speaker 2: feel relief, sobbing on the table. Jaw released therapy, which
- 32:58Speaker 2: involves the massaging we stretching of muscles in the face,
- 33:01Speaker 2: is popular for relieving TMJ headaches and jaw clicking. In
- 33:07Speaker 2: an interview with Fox News Digital, Linum shared that stress
- 33:11Speaker 2: has an immense impact on human health, especially on muscle
- 33:14Speaker 2: tension and pain, saying, we hold emotions in our body.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Emotions cause a sympathetic response or a stress response in
- 33:20Speaker 2: the body. Stress is one thing that impacts every disease,
- 33:23Speaker 2: whether it's emotional, physical, whether it's genetic. Stress is a
- 33:26Speaker 2: thing that makes genetics pop. If you take stress away,
- 33:30Speaker 2: those genetic markers no longer express themselves. So basically this
- 33:35Speaker 2: is normal, is what he's saying. Clinching the jaw can
- 33:39Speaker 2: create stress. What happens naturally if you clinch your jaw
- 33:44Speaker 2: and hold it there for three to five minutes, you'll
- 33:46Speaker 2: actually fire adrenaline and nor epinephrine, and this sends a
- 33:50Speaker 2: message to the body you're bracing for an attack. So
- 33:55Speaker 2: the jaw release targets the fascia, or the connective tissue
- 33:58Speaker 2: that supports the body's muscles organs joint Stretching the fascia
- 34:01Speaker 2: also allows the muscle to stretch, providing relief.
- 34:04Speaker 4: He says.
- 34:04Speaker 2: When you release the jaw, then instantaneously you come out
- 34:08Speaker 2: of that fight or flight mode. And if you've been
- 34:11Speaker 2: there for a long time like most people have, it
- 34:14Speaker 2: instantaneously shocks the nervous system in a good way. So
- 34:18Speaker 2: not only are you and lee Anne getting a physical
- 34:22Speaker 2: release from the jaw release therapy, but it's also an
- 34:25Speaker 2: emotional one.
- 34:26Speaker 4: It's the ugly cry.
- 34:29Speaker 3: I just hope to God I'm never in that much
- 34:32Speaker 3: pain that I have to have some sort of release
- 34:34Speaker 3: that sends me into crying mode. And like I really do.
- 34:40Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm really trying to do all of the
- 34:42Speaker 3: things right so that I don't have to go down
- 34:45Speaker 3: that road.
- 34:46Speaker 4: I swear to God, I'll start stretching if I can
- 34:48Speaker 4: avoid this.
- 34:49Speaker 3: Yes, same I do. First of all, the fingers in
- 34:52Speaker 3: the mouth thing alone is weird.
- 34:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna gag. I have a I have a
- 34:57Speaker 4: horrible palette. I mean it's it's you.
- 34:59Speaker 2: I'm going to gag, bite your finger off, It's is Yeah. Sorry,
- 35:02Speaker 2: he needs to be in there with some chain mail
- 35:04Speaker 2: like they do when they're carving up fish, because this
- 35:07Speaker 2: guy's in Leanne Rymes's mouth with just like a lake
- 35:09Speaker 2: text glove.
- 35:10Speaker 4: Buddy, I'll bite right through that.
- 35:12Speaker 3: Yeah easily. They say, what you're the consistency of your
- 35:15Speaker 3: finger bones is like a carrot. That's easy.
- 35:19Speaker 4: Give me that's a snack. Now.
- 35:25Speaker 2: That being said, Trey, when you mentioned that you got
- 35:28Speaker 2: that kind of a release from an ACU puncture thing,
- 35:32Speaker 2: I've had back pain a lot since since my twenties,
- 35:35Speaker 2: and I tried a number of sessions with acupuncture and
- 35:38Speaker 2: that was definitely not for me because.
- 35:40Speaker 4: They they hit a nerve one or two times and
- 35:43Speaker 4: I'm just.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Are Sometimes it'll make you come off the table. I
- 35:48Speaker 1: mean it's they they hit hit a spot. But ultimately
- 35:52Speaker 1: it uh, it's to me very therapeutic.
- 35:59Speaker 2: And more power to those that find it, agreed, because
- 36:03Speaker 2: I will say, like when I get it, like, I
- 36:05Speaker 2: don't want to do acupuncture ever again, like that that
- 36:07Speaker 2: was not my jam. I'm glad you found a tray,
- 36:09Speaker 2: and I've heard success stories from other people.
- 36:12Speaker 4: Well, but I do.
- 36:13Speaker 2: What I do like though, is when I get a massage,
- 36:15Speaker 2: I tell the person it's like, start hard and then
- 36:20Speaker 2: we'll figure out how to adjust from there.
- 36:22Speaker 1: I bet you.
- 36:24Speaker 4: I knew I was gonna regret telling you this.

- 38:23Speaker 2: things that we all remember her for, probably the most popular,
- 38:28Speaker 2: the Princess Bride.
- 38:29Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's right.
- 38:30Speaker 4: I was thinking Forrest gump Us, the villain of Forrest Gump.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Yeah, Jenna Jenda, that mean what she did to Forest anyway,
- 38:42Speaker 2: So Robin Wright is sixty from Princess Bride, Forrest Gump,
- 38:47Speaker 2: House of Cards on Netflix, tons of stuff that she's
- 38:50Speaker 2: been an outstanding actress. Another outstanding actress, Patricia Arquette is
- 38:55Speaker 2: fifty eight today, known probably best for True Romance or
- 39:00Speaker 2: the TV show where she was a Medium. I think
- 39:03Speaker 2: the show was actually called Medium.
- 39:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I think you're right back in the day.
- 39:07Speaker 2: That was a show I was I had to watch
- 39:09Speaker 2: at one point. And then in addition to Medium and
- 39:14Speaker 2: True Romance, I think it was her sister, Rosanna Arquette
- 39:19Speaker 2: that got to star opposite Jean Claude van Dam in
- 39:26Speaker 2: the movie I believe it was Nowhere to Run or
- 39:29Speaker 2: something like that. Here's here's the depths.
- 39:33Speaker 4: Of my brain. All right, here we go.
- 39:36Speaker 2: It's Patricia Arquette's birthday, which reminds me she's sisters with
- 39:40Speaker 2: Rosanna Arquette, who was in a movie with Jean Claude
- 39:43Speaker 2: Van Dam. The movie I believe was called Nowhere to Run,
- 39:46Speaker 2: obviously starring Jean Claude van Dam, Rosanna Arquette, and Karen Coulkin.
- 39:54Speaker 3: Oh, he must have been a tiny child at the
- 39:58Speaker 3: time he was.
- 39:59Speaker 2: He was a tiny child at the time pre Succession
- 40:01Speaker 2: or Billions, whichever show he's on.
- 40:04Speaker 4: So yeah, there you go, the depths of my brain.
- 40:06Speaker 4: I'm I'm sorry.
- 40:07Speaker 1: And in Nowhere, brother David got to bang Courtney Cox.
- 40:12Speaker 4: That's still an odd phase. I think she would like
- 40:14Speaker 4: to forget.
- 40:15Speaker 3: Except for they have a child, so she can't.
- 40:19Speaker 2: Yeah, there's that. You can pretend all you want, but
- 40:21Speaker 2: he's still coming over. Katie's sack Off is forty six
- 40:27Speaker 2: years old today from the Star Trek universe at one point,
- 40:32Speaker 2: but then she I think, and then she crossed over
- 40:35Speaker 2: into the Mandalorian.
- 40:37Speaker 1: No, she was Babylon five.
- 40:39Speaker 4: I think, my bad get, I get those crossed up.
- 40:43Speaker 3: I know none of those.
- 40:45Speaker 2: I know Star Wars, I know, I know what it'll
- 40:47Speaker 2: be the Star Trek, I know none of the Babylons.
- 40:50Speaker 1: I say, uh, she's only forty six. Yeah, I really
- 40:54Speaker 1: would have thought she was older than that.
- 40:57Speaker 4: H Taylor Kitsch is forty five.
- 40:59Speaker 2: This is a guy who, while he has an outstanding
- 41:02Speaker 2: career in Hollywood, he seems like one of the unluckiest
- 41:07Speaker 2: stars in Hollywood. So Taylor Kitsch, if I have this
- 41:11Speaker 2: timeline correct, I believe he got his start on the
- 41:14Speaker 2: TV show Friday Night Lights.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Okay.
- 41:17Speaker 2: He's also in one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies, Battleship.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Battleship is a great guilty pleasure movie.
- 41:27Speaker 4: I knew you and I got long on deeper levels.
- 41:30Speaker 3: Come, I mean, come on, when they're calling out the
- 41:32Speaker 3: veterans to come and rise up to fight in the war, please.
- 41:39Speaker 4: Yes, Shills right now.
- 41:41Speaker 3: American flag waving in the background.
- 41:43Speaker 4: Come on, America.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Unleashing the World War two, mighty mo on the Aliens.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Amazing Trey.
- 41:54Speaker 2: Have we talked about this? No, okay, we're going to now.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Have you seen Battleship?
- 42:02Speaker 3: That's a no. This is making me sad.
- 42:07Speaker 4: You know if you've seen it?
- 42:08Speaker 3: Yeah, you do. You want you will never forget the
- 42:12Speaker 3: scene where all the veterans are coming out of the woodwork.
- 42:15Speaker 4: Yeah. The problem is you got two hours before you
- 42:18Speaker 4: get there.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Oh that's the one. Like I think I got through
- 42:25Speaker 1: about five minutes of it.
- 42:27Speaker 2: Oh, buddy, you got you gotta go an additional hour
- 42:29Speaker 2: fifty five to get to point.
- 42:31Speaker 4: But no, no, But.
- 42:35Speaker 2: It's got a Scars guard, it's got Taylor Kitsch, it's
- 42:38Speaker 2: got Liam Neeson, Rhiannon, it's got Brooklyn Decker, all of them.
- 42:45Speaker 4: I think Jesse Plemons is in that movie too.
- 42:48Speaker 3: Oh, you might be right.
- 42:49Speaker 4: Actually, it's been a minute as I've seen now, I
- 42:51Speaker 4: need to go back five minutes. That's it, trick.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Oh man, just.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Go watch the battleship scene.
- 43:00Speaker 1: I've seen clips.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Can you get the full I don't think of the
- 43:04Speaker 2: scene without having lived through the first two hours, I can.
- 43:07Speaker 3: I just tell you, like my girlfriends and I, we
- 43:09Speaker 3: love to watch like these kinds of movies and make
- 43:11Speaker 3: fun of them. We have what we call a girl's
- 43:14Speaker 3: night of violence, and occasionally something like Battleship might be
- 43:17Speaker 3: on the agenda. But we had all separately seen it
- 43:20Speaker 3: and then got together to discuss the veteran battle scene
- 43:24Speaker 3: because it was so freaking great and hilarious and memorable
- 43:30Speaker 3: that we could not not talk about it.
- 43:32Speaker 4: That's awesome, Trey. Why don't you and I have this relationship?
- 43:38Speaker 1: Trey's like, no, thanks, feel Magnolia is sure.
- 43:46Speaker 2: If you want to talk about the finer points of Wheezy,
- 43:49Speaker 2: then that's where Trey and I will meet.
- 43:51Speaker 4: But Rebecca, you and I will go watch Battleship.
- 43:53Speaker 3: Perfect.
- 43:54Speaker 4: Trey and I can laugh about the armadillo cake. Oh Man.
- 44:01Speaker 4: Dean Norris from Breaking Bad is sixty three.
- 44:04Speaker 2: Hank Aaron would be would have been ninety two today,
- 44:06Speaker 2: but unfortunately time got the best of him.
- 44:10Speaker 4: And I believe Buddha.
- 44:12Speaker 2: I believe today's Buddha's birthday, So congratulations to the Buddha.
- 44:16Speaker 3: Like the Buddha, like big belly gold guy.
- 44:20Speaker 4: I think he was actually thin. You know what, I
- 44:23Speaker 4: don't know.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Our our resident expert on Asian religions is somewhere getting
- 44:30Speaker 2: his stomach pumped. But this says Buddha, traditionally known five
- 44:35Speaker 2: sixty three to four eighty three BC, would be roughly
- 44:38Speaker 2: two thy fighty nine.
- 44:40Speaker 4: Years old today if he was still alive.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Dan, But you know, Nirvana got in the way the
- 44:45Speaker 2: heightened state, not Kurt Cobain. Howard Stern is getting sued
- 44:50Speaker 2: by his assistant or I should should I say former assistant?
- 44:54Speaker 3: Is anyone surprised by this?
- 44:56Speaker 2: No, especially when the headline reads Howard Stern sued by
- 44:59Speaker 2: ex assistant. She exposes alleged hostile work environment. What by
- 45:05Speaker 2: a super rich radio personality?
- 45:07Speaker 4: No way?
- 45:08Speaker 3: Who got his coming in the nineties?
- 45:11Speaker 1: Like what?
- 45:12Speaker 2: Yeah, this is clearly a topic none of us know about,
- 45:14Speaker 2: having worked with Russ Martin and Jody freaking Dean.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Uh.
- 45:18Speaker 2: But this also includes his wife, So how so that's
- 45:20Speaker 2: something that Russ and Jody gets. Sorry, Howard Stern had
- 45:27Speaker 2: much respectable Howard Stern and his wife Beth Stern.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Yes, Tray, Oh, I think Jody's ex wife could have
- 45:34Speaker 1: talked about it, because I believe she shot him.
- 45:36Speaker 4: Ah she did. Yeah, we got that confirmed. How Russ
- 45:40Speaker 4: didn't end up with a bullet, I don't know.
- 45:43Speaker 5: Uh.
- 45:43Speaker 4: Instead he did with handcuffs.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Howard Stern and his wife Beth are being sued by
- 45:49Speaker 2: their former assistant for allegedly creating a hostile work environment.
- 45:52Speaker 2: The couple's ex executive assistant, Leslie Kune, states she started
- 45:56Speaker 2: working at their twenty thousand square foot Southampton mansion in
- 46:00Speaker 2: New York at their request in May of twenty four.
- 46:05Speaker 4: She says, Beth, this is the part of the story
- 46:08Speaker 4: I wanted to share most with you.
- 46:09Speaker 2: Not so much about the plight of an assistant, but
- 46:13Speaker 2: just because you're successful and you're rich and you're a
- 46:17Speaker 2: powerful media mogul, doesn't mean everything goes your way. Kuhn
- 46:22Speaker 2: says Beth Stern needed help in managing the staff of
- 46:25Speaker 2: the mansion and managing household operations, including Beth's extensive at
- 46:30Speaker 2: home feeline rescue and fostering operations. Okay, it could be
- 46:36Speaker 2: worth about a billion dollars, but you still got to
- 46:39Speaker 2: put up with your cat's with your with your wife's
- 46:41Speaker 2: cat rescue out of Southampton mansion anyway, So the assistant
- 46:46Speaker 2: goes on to say that. Despite getting a letter in
- 46:49Speaker 2: December twenty five from Howard's production company stating she'd be
- 46:52Speaker 2: getting a raise to two hundred and sixty five thousand
- 46:55Speaker 2: dollars a year and an eighty thousand dollars bonus in
- 47:00Speaker 2: twenty twenty six, she was fired in February. She says
- 47:06Speaker 2: she was fired because of a hostile work environment and
- 47:08Speaker 2: immense pressures on the household created by irresponsible and untenable
- 47:11Speaker 2: animal rescue and fostering operations occurring on site and massively
- 47:14Speaker 2: disorganized some questionable business operations and accounting practices. She also
- 47:18Speaker 2: claims Howard's production company presented her with a non disclosure
- 47:21Speaker 2: agreement that she denies ever signing. She claims that both
- 47:25Speaker 2: the reasons she was fired and the NBA were manufactured
- 47:27Speaker 2: by the defendants in general and Betstern in particular. I
- 47:33Speaker 2: will say though, that's a good salary.
- 47:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll pet some cats for that.
- 47:42Speaker 2: And possibly my favorite story of the day, this is
- 47:45Speaker 2: a trade special. Jessica Simpson and Nick Lasha recently came
- 47:49Speaker 2: face to face in the sky and I like this Yeah,
- 47:55Speaker 2: And according to TMZ, it was as awkward as you
- 47:58Speaker 2: would expect. Sources with direct knowledge say the former couple
- 48:02Speaker 2: had an unexpected run in on the same flight from
- 48:04Speaker 2: la to Kuwai, Hawaii on March twenty ninth, where both
- 48:07Speaker 2: were seated in first class. Despite being in close quarters.
- 48:13Speaker 2: Were told the exes went out of their way to
- 48:15Speaker 2: avoid each other the entire time. That makes sense to me,
- 48:18Speaker 2: because if I remember that one fart episode from their
- 48:22Speaker 2: reality show, I think Nick was smart to get as
- 48:24Speaker 2: far away from her as he could, because if someone's
- 48:28Speaker 2: going to crop dust in first class, you know it's
- 48:30Speaker 2: going to be Jessica Simpson.
- 48:34Speaker 1: I'm just it's been twenty years. They can't.
- 48:39Speaker 4: Be civil, I guess not.
- 48:42Speaker 2: One source onboard the plane said Nick turned bright red
- 48:45Speaker 2: when he realized Jessica was on board, and from that
- 48:47Speaker 2: moment on zero interaction, Jessica made her intentions clear, even
- 48:51Speaker 2: switched seats with someone in her group to make sure
- 48:55Speaker 2: she wasn't anywhere near Nick.
- 48:57Speaker 4: Me. Wow.
- 48:58Speaker 2: Meanwhile, and this is the best part of the story,
- 49:01Speaker 2: Sources say Jessica's estranged husband, Eric Johnson, was also on
- 49:05Speaker 2: the flight, but sitting in coach, so keep in mind
- 49:21Speaker 2: she was She switched seats with someone in her group
- 49:24Speaker 2: to get away from Nick. But the but the estranged
- 49:28Speaker 2: husband is still in the back of the plate.
- 49:31Speaker 1: That's because he hasn't got former NFL player.
- 49:36Speaker 3: He hasn't gotten he hasn't gotten his Jessica Simpson money
- 49:38Speaker 3: yet Nick Lache did for Nick Lache can afford the
- 49:43Speaker 3: first class and Eric Johnson can't.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Eric Johnson, Eric Johnson, he was a tight He was
- 49:48Speaker 1: a tight end I think for the forty nine ers
- 49:50Speaker 1: and somebody else.
- 49:51Speaker 3: But uh, oh okay, I don't think he played for
- 49:54Speaker 3: a super long time. I don't know how successful he was.
- 49:59Speaker 4: His super is being married to Jessica Simpson.
- 50:02Speaker 3: Probably, Oh man.
- 50:06Speaker 2: It is interesting though you bring up that's like, you
- 50:08Speaker 2: guys can't be civil in first class, like just you
- 50:11Speaker 2: don't even have to you don't have to say anything.
- 50:14Speaker 2: I mean, I look at it this way. It's like
- 50:16Speaker 2: if you're rich and you're famous and you're in the
- 50:18Speaker 2: la circles. To me, it's inevitable you're going to bump
- 50:20Speaker 2: into each other.
- 50:21Speaker 3: Agreed.
- 50:23Speaker 1: And the story Nikolache was with his wife Vanessa and
- 50:29Speaker 1: I can't think of her maiden name.
- 50:32Speaker 3: I mean, she she's the one who's like real jealous
- 50:35Speaker 3: about the whole Jessica Simpson thing like she hates it
- 50:37Speaker 3: when interviewers bring up Jessica Simpson when they're two doing interviews.
- 50:42Speaker 4: I get that.
- 50:42Speaker 2: I wouldn't imagine any of us would, like, if we're
- 50:45Speaker 2: in our current relationships, someone keeps bringing up one of
- 50:48Speaker 2: your past relationships.
- 50:50Speaker 3: Think though, it's because, like nikolashe and Vanessa were together before,
- 50:54Speaker 3: and he dumped her to get with Jessica Simpson. Then
- 50:57Speaker 3: they get married, and then they get divorced, and then
- 50:59Speaker 3: he's like, hey, let me go back to number one again,
- 51:02Speaker 3: and so it's just a sore subject all around.
- 51:06Speaker 4: Yeah. I didn't know that part.
- 51:08Speaker 3: Yeah, see you look at look learned something new every day.
- 51:13Speaker 2: The poor Eric Johnson stuck in coach and unaware of
- 51:18Speaker 2: any of this. He has to he had he had
- 51:20Speaker 2: to read all about this on TMZ like the rest
- 51:22Speaker 2: of us, what's going on there?
- 51:28Speaker 4: Hold go on?
- 51:28Speaker 3: If he was on coach, he would have passed by
- 51:30Speaker 3: the both of them on the way in. Am I wrong?
- 51:36Speaker 2: Yeah, because sometimes the famous people will wait till the
- 51:38Speaker 2: last second, So then that way all the poors don't
- 51:43Speaker 2: have to gawk at them as they walk by.
- 51:45Speaker 3: That's a good point, But wouldn't it have been awesome.
- 51:47Speaker 3: If he did have to do like the Walk of
- 51:49Speaker 3: shame past both of them.
- 51:52Speaker 2: That would I would have paid for the seat upgrade
- 51:55Speaker 2: to see that mm hmm, or at least hidden next
- 51:58Speaker 2: to one of them, and then get kicked out by
- 51:59Speaker 2: a flight of like he's.
- 52:00Speaker 3: Crying by the time he hits his seat and coach.
- 52:06Speaker 1: Or just that you know, he decides he's gonna go
- 52:08Speaker 1: up and check on him in the flight attendant closes
- 52:10Speaker 1: the curtain.
- 52:11Speaker 3: Yes, not for you, Sorry, sir, you're not allowed to
- 52:18Speaker 3: even use the bathroom up here. Don't even look in
- 52:21Speaker 3: our direction.
