- 0:15Sean McAllister: Also it's Sphere, our reaction to the new 4D effects at the Wizard of Oz.
- 0:20Sean McAllister: And as Halloween creeps closer, we reveal some of the off-strip spots to celebrate the season.
- 0:26Dayna Roselli: Plus, some wedding news and star sightings in celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 0:31Dayna Roselli: Let's get right to it.
- 0:32Dayna Roselli: Vegas Revealed starts now.
- 0:34Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed episode 341.
- 0:38Dayna Roselli: Dayna Roselli and Sean McAllister here, your Vegas Insiders.
- 0:43Dayna Roselli: And everyone is talking about Metallica at Sphere.
- 0:46Dayna Roselli: Actually, Sean, you and I were with a friend that was in town, your friend, and they came in to see Metallica both nights at Sphere, and we got the review, and they said it was amazing.
- 0:58Sean McAllister: Absolutely loved it.
- 1:00Sean McAllister: Our friend Steve from uh Denver, he and his wife came into town with some friends specifically to see Metallica.
- 1:07Sean McAllister: They went on Thursday night and Saturday night.
- 1:10Sean McAllister: Steve, also a longtime listener of Vegas Revealed and supporter.
- 1:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 1:15Sean McAllister: Um, so shout out to Steve.
- 1:17Dayna Roselli: Yeah, thanks for your donations.
- 1:19Sean McAllister: And uh yeah, so they went to Thursday night and Saturday.
- 1:22Sean McAllister: They uh loved both nights, but said Saturday was the night when they got all of it seemed like all of the big hits.
- 1:32Sean McAllister: Like if you were their favorites.
- 1:34Sean McAllister: If you're a casual fan, like maybe a Saturday night show is the one that you want to go to.
- 1:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 1:40Dayna Roselli: Wait, the if you're a casual, what do you mean?
- 1:42Sean McAllister: Like if you're a casual fan and you don't know like the deep cuts from the albums over.
- 1:48Dayna Roselli: Got it, got it, got it, okay.
- 1:49Sean McAllister: Which it seems like that's kind of what the band was playing on the Thursday night show.
- 1:54Sean McAllister: And then Saturday was like all the songs that just about anybody would recognize.
- 1:59Dayna Roselli: Got it.
- 1:59Dayna Roselli: Okay, makes sense.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: And hopefully they'll stick with it.
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: But I wonder if they could throw everyone for a loop and switch it.
- 2:04Sean McAllister: And mix it up.
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: I know make the Saturday on a Thursday and the third, you know, so I don't know.
- 2:09Sean McAllister: They very well may.
- 2:10Dayna Roselli: I guess we'll see after this weekend if it's still the same.
- 2:13Dayna Roselli: But um, yeah, I mean, you know, uh the the visuals look great.
- 2:17Dayna Roselli: You know, Metallica may not be for everyone, it may be others' favorites.
- 2:21Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's sold out, it's incredible.
- 2:24Dayna Roselli: The pop-up uh at the Venetian is really fun.
- 2:27Dayna Roselli: We ran into a bunch of different Metallica fans that came in from all over.
- 2:30Dayna Roselli: Um, but let's talk about first.
- 2:32Dayna Roselli: Uh, we posted about that on our social media, and there's like a lot of conversation in there about people saying, you know, this show isn't for the real fans.
- 2:42Dayna Roselli: And then, you know, I just chimed in with responding to the person very nice.
- 2:48Dayna Roselli: And I said, listen, you know, Metallica has an opportunity to do a really creative show in a venue that is one of a kind, the only one in the entire world.
- 2:58Dayna Roselli: Um, they're gonna do it.
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: I would do it too, you know, and it gives fans who want that kind of experience, you know, the opportunity.
- 3:05Dayna Roselli: And he's like, You're arguing with me.
- 3:07Dayna Roselli: I'm like, I'm not arguing, I'm simply pointing out that it's a different kind of experience and uh it's sold out.
- 3:13Dayna Roselli: Now, I get things are expensive, it might be a little bit more expensive than maybe just a regular concert, but regular concerts are expensive these days too.
- 3:22Sean McAllister: Well, and you can't compare what they're doing at Sphere to these massive shows that they've done throughout their career.
- 3:29Sean McAllister: Like back in the 90s, I saw somebody comparing uh like what it visually looked like with uh no phones out at a concert in the 90s, and now here everybody is recording the experience.
- 3:42Sean McAllister: Well, that's just a sign of the times.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: Well, there just wasn't phones in there.
- 3:46Dayna Roselli: There weren't exactly so that I had to comment under that too on my personal account.
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: I it really annoyed me.
- 3:52Dayna Roselli: I was like, You're showing because he's saying he said this specific person was saying, and you know, I know people do this for clicks, this might be exactly what this person wants.
- 4:00Dayna Roselli: But saying the sphere is ruining concerts.
- 4:03Dayna Roselli: I'm like, Are you kidding me?
- 4:04Dayna Roselli: Like, and he's like, Look, not look at everyone's got their phones out shooting the visuals.
- 4:09Dayna Roselli: And then he showed the concert from the 90s and said, This is what it used to look like.
- 4:13Dayna Roselli: In the 90s, we didn't have phones.
- 4:16Dayna Roselli: If you go to a park MGM show, uh whatever, call us people have their phones out at those too.
- 4:23Dayna Roselli: It's not only the sphere, it's just the fact that people have phones and they can record.
- 4:28Sean McAllister: Well, life has changed.
- 4:29Sean McAllister: I mean, you look at my uh kitchen from the 90s and there was a phone hanging on the wall.
- 4:34Sean McAllister: You look at my kitchen today, there's no phone in sight.
- 4:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:37Sean McAllister: I mean, it's for everything, like things change.
- 4:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:40Dayna Roselli: I mean, they definitely do it for the clicks, probably, but it does get you fired up, right?
- 4:45Dayna Roselli: It does.
- 4:45Dayna Roselli: But um, someone did chime in though in the the first comment we were talking about and saying, listen, a real fan doesn't say I'm a real fan.
- 4:52Dayna Roselli: And I like, I was like, oh, so anyway, there's this whole thing going on underneath it.
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: But um listen, it's sold out, people are enjoying it.
- 5:00Dayna Roselli: And if you want to go and and you can afford to go, they're there, you know.
- 5:05Dayna Roselli: I I get it.
- 5:06Dayna Roselli: It's frustrating.
- 5:07Dayna Roselli: There's so many things in life I'd like to be doing that I can't afford to do either.
- 5:10Dayna Roselli: But um, it sounds like people are really ex were excited about it, are excited about it, and enjoying it.
- 5:16Dayna Roselli: When we went to the free pop-up, um, so there's a pop-up fan experience at the Venetian, and we ran into a lot of um fans, as I mentioned earlier, that were traveling in um with family.
- 5:27Dayna Roselli: In fact, we we interviewed a brother and sister at the fan experience right near the merch.
- 5:31Dayna Roselli: So let's listen to this interview.
- 5:33Dayna Roselli: So you guys came all the way here from Minnesota.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: What brought you here?
- 5:36Dayna Roselli: I know it's Metallica, but you know, why did you decide to come all the way to Las Vegas for this specific show?
- 5:42Speaker 2: So my brother and I have been Metallica fans since we were kids, and uh, we don't live in the same state anymore.
- 5:48Speaker 2: So anytime Metallica is playing, we meet up somewhere.
- 5:51Speaker 2: So we try to do this once a year as long as Metallica's playing, and it just so happens to be the sphere.
- 5:57Speaker 2: This fear.
- 5:58Speaker 2: See, and usually it's the brother that likes Metallica and the sister was forced to listen to it.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Oh no, I'm the older sister, so I did the influencing thing.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I think so, yeah.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:09Dayna Roselli: So it's kind of nice you guys share something together here.
- 6:12Speaker 1: It's uh it's a bonding, brother-sister bonding experience.
- 6:15Speaker 1: You know, we don't see each other for Christmas or birthdays, but when Metallica's playing, doesn't matter where it's at.
- 6:20Speaker 1: If it's in one of our hometowns, we'll visit each other.
- 6:23Speaker 1: If it's in a place like Las Vegas, absolutely, we're gonna come here.
- 6:27Speaker 1: We're having a good time.
- 6:28Dayna Roselli: And what are you excited about to see specifically at this show?
- 6:31Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's gonna be really different.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I mean, we're in the snake pit.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Once you're in the snake pit, it's kind of hard to like leave the snake pit.
- 6:38Speaker 2: So, you know, it'll be I'm always happy to see the friends that we make along the way.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Um, we already found a few of them here.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Uh, so yeah.
- 6:47Speaker 2: And you guys are loading up on merch.
- 6:49Speaker 2: What are you getting?
- 6:50Speaker 2: Oh gosh, that's embarrassing.
- 6:52Speaker 2: A lot.
- 6:52Speaker 2: A lot! I love it.
- 6:54Speaker 2: They like it here, they they want people to buy a lot.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I texted a took a picture of this Yeti.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Um, I want to make sure that my wife will let me in the house when I come home if I buy this $275 Yeti.
- 7:06Speaker 1: So I'm still noodling on it, but got plenty of other cool merch.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Got a nice hoodie, got a got a nice um thing thing for my beers.
- 7:14Dayna Roselli: yeah, gotta hold the beer, gotta keep the hands you know, nice and dry.
- 7:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 7:18Dayna Roselli: And the beer cool, right?
- 7:20Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 7:21Dayna Roselli: And I love the hoodie.
- 7:22Dayna Roselli: Now, uh do you are you guys noticing that there's different stuff here than in other places you've been?
- 7:26Dayna Roselli: Oh, absolutely.
- 7:27Speaker 2: This stuff is way nicer than any of the other pop-up shops we've been to, actually, all over the world at this point.
- 7:32Speaker 2: We yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Massive selection.
- 7:35Sean McAllister: I thought that was such a fun conversation to have with them because they travel around the world to go to these Metallica shows, and that's like what they bond over.
- 7:45Sean McAllister: It's like the time when they actually get to spend together.
- 7:48Sean McAllister: You know, they both leave their respective families behind, get together, go to these Metallica shows, and then the brother he had to call his wife to get approval for that Yeti cooler.
- 7:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I know.
- 7:59Dayna Roselli: Isn't that funny?
- 8:00Dayna Roselli: Oh my, they had their arms full of stuff.
- 8:03Sean McAllister: They did a lot of people did.
- 8:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, and they're you know, there's a good variety of price points in there, but there were some hundred and fifty dollar hoodie sweatshirts I saw.
- 8:12Sean McAllister: And people were leaving with armfuls of them.
- 8:15Dayna Roselli: The fan experience is really cool.
- 8:17Dayna Roselli: It's got um that one room where they used to kind of what practice.
- 8:21Sean McAllister: Oh, yeah, it was the garage of the house.
- 8:23Sean McAllister: Uh they've recreated the garage of the house that the band lived in back in their early days when they were uh, I think it was their first two albums that they were writing and recording, and the garage was their like practice space.
- 8:38Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 8:39Sean McAllister: And so there's a recreation of that garage that you can you can go and sit on the couch.
- 8:45Sean McAllister: You there's you know, beer cans strewn all over the place.
- 8:49Sean McAllister: There's I mean, it's a very like 80s garage setup.
- 8:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I was like, my mom still has that kitchen chair that they have in there.
- 8:57Dayna Roselli: She loves her chairs on a roller.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: Uh, this wasn't particularly rolling, but it's the exact same thing.
- 9:03Sean McAllister: Right.
- 9:04Dayna Roselli: Um, but yeah, it it's very familiar, right?
- 9:06Sean McAllister: It was.
- 9:07Dayna Roselli: A lot of nostalgia.
- 9:08Sean McAllister: The drum sets in there, the guitars, the amps, you know.
- 9:12Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 9:12Sean McAllister: So it was.
- 9:13Sean McAllister: It's really cool.
- 9:14Dayna Roselli: So instead of us explaining it, um, we did talk with John Michael Marino.
- 9:18Dayna Roselli: He's Metallica's touring coordinator, and we we stopped over uh to the fan experience and we said, Hey, can we interview you?
- 9:25Dayna Roselli: And he said, sure, and gave us some more details.
- 9:27Dayna Roselli: First of all, you don't hear free a lot.
- 9:29Dayna Roselli: So why do you guys choose to make it free as well?
- 9:32John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: Well, the goal here is we're building a fan experience around the sphere residency.
- 9:36John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: So we want fans to be able to do more than what they can do when we're out on tour, and this room represents a snapshot of that.
- 9:44John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: So come in, besides the pop-up shop, which is absolutely incredible.
- 9:48John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: We have over a hundred exclusive items.
- 9:50John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: Um, there are moments around the room that represent different stages of the band's career.
- 9:55John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: So no matter when you became a fan, whether it was in '81 or 2026, uh, there is a connection point as a Metallica fan in this room.
- 10:04Dayna Roselli: And what will people experience?
- 10:06Dayna Roselli: I see the different, you know, kind of corners.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: I love the the what is it called?
- 10:09Dayna Roselli: The Metalli Mansion?
- 10:11John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: Yes.
- 10:11John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: So we'll start there.
- 10:12John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: So the Metalli Mansion is a recreation of the house that the man lived in, wrote the first two records in, and rehearsed in the garage out back, and that's what's in the space is a recreation of that garage uh from El Sorrito.
- 10:27John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: Um we also have actual set props and pieces from the Damaged Justice Tour, circa 88, 89.
- 10:34John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: Um there are interactive album covers and and photo op scenics uh right behind me.
- 10:40John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: So we've got Master of Puppets, we've got Ride the Lightning.
- 10:43John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: So if you're a fan, you want to get your hands on some actual Metallica memorabilia, take photos of classic moments from history, this is the room to do it.
- 10:53Dayna Roselli: Are there things in Las Vegas here that are different than what you might have on tour in other cities?
- 10:59John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: Absolutely.
- 11:00John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: So we we certainly have done versions of what you're seeing here in Vegas with pop-up shops, with our black box lounge and experience.
- 11:08John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: Everything here in Vegas is on steroids, absolutely.
- 11:11John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: We have brought new items that have not been uh dusted off in decades.
- 11:16John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: We have got brand new merchandise that has never been sold and is not being sold anywhere else.
- 11:20John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: Um, so it is a full redesign of what we typically offer out on tour.
- 11:25Dayna Roselli: Is the band excited to play the sphere?
- 11:27Dayna Roselli: And I know people are excited to see something different.
- 11:30Dayna Roselli: I mean, people have followed them and they've seen them on tour, and that's always an amazing experience, but this is something different.
- 11:35John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: It is absolutely something different.
- 11:37John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: The band is beyond excited.
- 11:39John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: The crew has been working tirelessly for over a year, so we're finally here, right?
- 11:45John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: We're in Las Vegas, we're at the sphere, we're at the Minician.
- 11:48John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: Um, it's gonna blow people's minds.
- 11:50John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: The show's incredible.
- 11:52John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: Uh, it takes a lot of time, energy, blood, sweat, and tears.
- 11:56John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: I mean, the the band's creative team has been hard on hard at work for let's call it two years on the show uh with our with our vendors and our touring partners.
- 12:05John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: The Metallica crew itself has been hard at work for the last month physically preparing, rehearsing, getting the show ready for the band.
- 12:14John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: And the band's been here in Vegas themselves for the past week, learning the new stage, um, learning the new room.
- 12:20John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: It's it's a totally different live experience than in stadiums, arenas.
- 12:24John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: So um it there's it it's it's new not only for the fans but for the band themselves.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: And sold out.
- 12:31John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: It is most certainly sold out, yes.
- 12:34Dayna Roselli: And we are Vegas revealed, so we always have to ask: is there a chance that it could go farther beyond merch if everything goes well?
- 12:41Dayna Roselli: I mean, I feel like there's always a chance, right?
- 12:44John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: Listen, that that decision is up to four guys.
- 12:47John-Michael Marino, Metallica Touring Coordinator: Unfortunately, I'm not one of them, but hey, if they decide that that they love it and we're gonna keep coming back, then we'll have this conversation next year.
- 12:55Dayna Roselli: John Michael does not make the decisions, everyone.
- 12:58Dayna Roselli: But you know.
- 12:59Dayna Roselli: While we were there, Sean, um, I feel like I actually really knew every song that was playing overhead.
- 13:05Dayna Roselli: I was like, you know, I really did listen to a lot of Metallica growing up, whether it was in the background, you know, I I think I've mentioned before we used to play cards at my friend's house.
- 13:14Dayna Roselli: He loved Metallica, so the albums were always on.
- 13:16Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, man, they they do have some great music.
- 13:19Sean McAllister: I know my cousin used to uh watch Headbanger's Ball, you know, at night on MTV and where they were playing like Metallica, Guns N' Roses, all that stuff.
- 13:29Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 13:30Sean McAllister: And so that's how I originally um was introduced to Metallica back in the day through my cousin.
- 13:37Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 13:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 13:38Dayna Roselli: I mean, we all were introduced to different kinds of things, you know.
- 13:41Sean McAllister: Such good music.
- 13:42Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 13:42Dayna Roselli: Um, I was gonna say, because I know people will ask for times and stuff.
- 13:46Dayna Roselli: Here's the deal uh some of the times uh might vary, but they always have the pop-up open um like before and after shows for sure.
- 13:55Dayna Roselli: Additional days, I believe I saw on the schedule Sundays they open it too, figuring that a lot of people saw Saturday show.
- 14:01Dayna Roselli: They might want to wake up and go to the pop-up.
- 14:03Dayna Roselli: So you'll have to check on your own, but um it is at the Venetian in the summit showroom.
- 14:09Dayna Roselli: So it's kind of on the way to the bridge to go over the Saturday.
- 14:12Sean McAllister: Yes, because you have to go through that convention space.
- 14:15Dayna Roselli: So right.
- 14:15Dayna Roselli: So the dates and times for now, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m.
- 14:19Dayna Roselli: to 8 p.m.
- 14:20Dayna Roselli: Thursday and Saturday, 10 a.m.
- 14:21Dayna Roselli: to after show.
- 14:23Dayna Roselli: Okay, so Wednesday and Friday, not after show because there aren't shows.
- 14:27Dayna Roselli: Um, but Thursday and Saturday, show days, they do have it open after the show, and then Sundays 10 to 2.
- 14:33Dayna Roselli: Schedules, uh, this schedule was currently for the first couple weeks and it is subject to changing.
- 14:38Dayna Roselli: So just check before you go.
- 14:39Dayna Roselli: But it is free to get in.
- 14:41Dayna Roselli: Uh you have to buy, you know, if you're gonna buy merch, you buy, but other than that, you can walk around, take pictures, do the whole thing.
- 14:47Sean McAllister: Yeah, and that uh summit showroom is kind of uh kitty corner to the box office over there at um at the Venetian.
- 14:54Sean McAllister: And I was surprised.
- 14:55Sean McAllister: I mean, this is kind of a a tangent, but the Summit Showroom has been completely gutted and its new use is now for these pop-ups associated with uh sphere performers.
- 15:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 15:09Sean McAllister: And it's something we talked about on that uh City Cast episode uh that we were guests on.
- 15:15Sean McAllister: Uh it's another podcast here in Las Vegas where we were talking about the evolution and how some theater spaces are being utilized for different purposes.
- 15:26Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the medium size.
- 15:27Sean McAllister: The medium size.
- 15:28Dayna Roselli: And that was a good little showroom.
- 15:29Dayna Roselli: I loved it.
- 15:30Sean McAllister: Derek Huff performed in there, he had a show in there.
- 15:32Sean McAllister: Joan Rivers had many shows in there back in the day.
- 15:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and we went to see Joe uh Debbie Gibson and Joey McIntyre in there.
- 15:38Dayna Roselli: That was great.
- 15:39Dayna Roselli: And I went to see, I forget what it was called, the one where the different uh boy band members all did a show together.
- 15:44Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah.
- 15:45Dayna Roselli: It was Nick, yeah, and Nick and Joey Patone.
- 15:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I loved it.
- 15:50Dayna Roselli: It was so awesome, but seeing tons of shows in there.
- 15:53Dayna Roselli: Human nature used to be in there.
- 15:54Sean McAllister: Yeah, that for a long time.
- 15:56Dayna Roselli: It was a I really liked it.
- 15:57Sean McAllister: Because there wasn't a bad seat, and yeah, but we also talked about how you know you need to make things more experiential for fans, and that's exactly what they're doing with that space.
- 16:08Dayna Roselli: Well, because they do have a bunch of showrooms already, or theaters, I should say, in the Venetian, right?
- 16:12Dayna Roselli: They have the Venetian theater, Voltaire.
- 16:15Sean McAllister: Uh also the Palazzo Theater.
- 16:18Dayna Roselli: Palazzo Theater, yeah.
- 16:19Dayna Roselli: And then Oh, I was gonna say, where Rocket of Ages used to be, that was in Voltaire.
- 16:24Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 16:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah, okay.
- 16:26Dayna Roselli: Uh yeah, it gets it gets confusing.
- 16:28Dayna Roselli: But anyway, um, so FYI on that.
- 16:31Dayna Roselli: But let's move on to Wizard of Oz.
- 16:33Dayna Roselli: We've teased it and talked about it.
- 16:35Dayna Roselli: And if you're into the Wizard of Oz, which so many of you are, they added some new 4D effects, some new 4D enhancements is what they're calling it, to the film to keep it current, keep it evolving.
- 16:45Dayna Roselli: And we went and experienced it.
- 16:46Sean McAllister: Yeah, and the flying monkey scene, I think, is the the scene stealer.
- 16:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 16:51Sean McAllister: This is a brand new scene that's been added into the movie.
- 16:55Sean McAllister: Um, the flying monkeys go through this canyon as they're on their way to the forest to get, you know, Dorothy and the Tin Man and the Scarecrow and the Lion.
- 17:04Sean McAllister: Um, and there are new animatronic monkeys that they that come flying over your head.
- 17:09Sean McAllister: And it's uh really, I mean, it makes you feel like you're flying right along with them.
- 17:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it is really, really cool.
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: It's pretty incredible.
- 17:18Dayna Roselli: What a visual, right?
- 17:19Dayna Roselli: Um, and then they have new scents in there too for Kansas and Emerald City and the Apple Forest and Munchkin Land.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: Uh, they added in a new cowardly lion scene, the one that a lot of people felt it really needed.
- 17:31Dayna Roselli: Like they took it out.
- 17:32Dayna Roselli: Um, and apparently um someone from Spear was telling us that that Oprah when she came to see the Wizard of Osh, like, you gotta put that lion scene back in.
- 17:40Dayna Roselli: You know, when he's like, put him up, put him up.
- 17:42Sean McAllister: Put 'em up.
- 17:42Sean McAllister: Put him up.
- 17:44Sean McAllister: What are you miserable men?
- 17:48Dayna Roselli: Yep, it's back.
- 17:50Dayna Roselli: Um, they also have these interactive wands that light up.
- 17:54Dayna Roselli: They are really fun and really cool.
- 17:55Dayna Roselli: And you can get that with the Bad Witch package, uh, which also includes some uh you get to go into the Delta Lounge and have some themed foods, you get premium seating and a lot of other things in the bag, but the wand is part of it.
- 18:06Dayna Roselli: And you'll notice that like it, like when when Dorothy clicked her heels three times, my wand turned red, red, red, like right in a row, and I could feel it vibrate.
- 18:15Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 18:15Dayna Roselli: So that's what I mean by interactive.
- 18:17Sean McAllister: And when Glinda comes, like the wand turns pink, and you know, obviously the the bubble and the glitter and all that comes with it too.
- 18:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 18:26Dayna Roselli: Someone did say to us on social that they didn't get a wand and they got the bad.
- 18:30Dayna Roselli: So um, when I did look back at the release, I did see that the wands are part of the Bad Witch package starting October 15th.
- 18:37Dayna Roselli: Then you will be able to buy a wand separately for $40 starting November 3rd.
- 18:43Dayna Roselli: So keep all those specifics in mind.
- 18:45Dayna Roselli: Because there are a lot of like hardcore Wizard of Oz fans, and we learned that because a friend of ours, Larry Edwards, called me saying, I need your apple with the worm on it that you showed.
- 18:55Dayna Roselli: And I was like, Okay, you know, we'll meet up.
- 18:57Dayna Roselli: You can have it, Larry.
- 18:58Dayna Roselli: And he's like, Well, I'll trade you for the gold in it.
- 19:00Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, no, don't trade.
- 19:01Dayna Roselli: You can keep your apple, it's okay, you know.
- 19:02Dayna Roselli: And he's like, No, no, no, you gotta.
- 19:04Dayna Roselli: So anyway, I was thinking, you know, we'd meet up later in the week or when I had, you know, and Larry's like, okay, what time should I come over?
- 19:10Dayna Roselli: And I was like, uh, it's Sunday, Larry.
- 19:12Dayna Roselli: Well, let me hop in the shower.
- 19:13Dayna Roselli: I just got back from the gym.
- 19:14Dayna Roselli: I went downstairs, I gave him the worm apple.
- 19:17Dayna Roselli: He was so thankful to complete his collection.
- 19:20Dayna Roselli: So it's a thing.
- 19:21Sean McAllister: Yeah, and the merchandise over there is constantly evolving, too.
- 19:25Sean McAllister: I know now they're selling um like the shirts that the monkey guards wear.
- 19:33Sean McAllister: You know, there's the guards that guard the witch's castle, and you can get a a monkey shirt.
- 19:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's yeah.
- 19:41Dayna Roselli: A lot of additions.
- 19:41Dayna Roselli: There's what pyrotechnics now, some Glinda Glitter falls too.
- 19:45Dayna Roselli: You'll see the glitter falling from the above you.
- 19:48Dayna Roselli: So we've been getting a lot of questions about what's the best section.
- 19:52Dayna Roselli: Um, we sat in 307 this time, and I really thought that was a great spot.
- 19:57Dayna Roselli: So FYI, I think the 300s are ideal.
- 20:00Dayna Roselli: I really think you there's not a bad seat in the house.
- 20:03Dayna Roselli: Um, you would you want to be in the center if you're interested in catching like an apple?
- 20:06Dayna Roselli: An apple, yeah.
- 20:07Dayna Roselli: Because they'll fall kind of more in the center, so keep that in mind.
- 20:11Dayna Roselli: But yeah, we had a great time.
- 20:12Dayna Roselli: We did learn some fun little factoids, too.
- 20:15Sean McAllister: Yeah, um, so uh obviously we know that there have been other uh film experiences over at Sphere as well.
- 20:24Sean McAllister: For example, there was Postcard from Earth, which is really kind of what kicked off things over at Sphere.
- 20:30Sean McAllister: Then there was the U2 uh film experience where they actually recorded U2's show inside of Sphere using the cameras that were built specifically for Sphere's screen so that when you play the film back on Sphere screen, it looks like U2 is still playing right in front of you.
- 20:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah, but we went, it's great.
- 20:52Sean McAllister: It's wild.
- 20:52Sean McAllister: Uh but the U2 film is apparently just being used for uh big corporate events, and when uh people do a buyout of the sphere for their own, you know, private use kind of a thing, that's uh one of the options that you have uh if you if you do one of those buyouts.
- 21:12Sean McAllister: Postcard from Earth, um it sounds like it's going to be used at as other sphere venues open around the world.
- 21:21Dayna Roselli: Smaller uh sphere venues.
- 21:22Dayna Roselli: Not as big as ours.
- 21:24Sean McAllister: And not the original, not the original, right.
- 21:27Dayna Roselli: And I guess that film From the Edge uh is still moving forward with no specific date.
- 21:32Dayna Roselli: We also did learn, you know, we've told you that Rocky Horror Picture Show is coming too, and we kind of got some buzz that there might be midnight screenings for that one.
- 21:41Dayna Roselli: So kind of more, you know, fitting with the feel, and that's a great idea.
- 21:46Dayna Roselli: I mean, we were talking uh with one of the global head of corporate marketing and communications at the sphere, and she was telling us that I mean, they are you know competing with iconic uh buildings like.
- 21:59Dayna Roselli: The Empire State Building, the Sydney Opera House, the Eiffel Tower, the sphere is now one of those places that people want to come to.
- 22:07Dayna Roselli: And so they don't want to just use it once a day.
- 22:10Dayna Roselli: They want to use it a couple times a day, or maybe three times a day.
- 22:14Dayna Roselli: And she was even saying she watched one of the changeovers, like in between shows, and it took uh 37 minutes only to like take down that lobby and do all these things.
- 22:24Dayna Roselli: And so they have it down.
- 22:26Sean McAllister: They do have it down.
- 22:27Sean McAllister: And I think um as she was even saying, as they clear out uh every all the mechanics and everything that's required for the Wizard of Oz movie, um even the uh the crew members who are down there, they they wear the monkey shirts.
- 22:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's so good.
- 22:45Sean McAllister: So it looks like a little army of monkeys getting getting everything ready to set up a stage for something like Metallica.
- 22:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I noticed the staff at the Sphere are really, really kind.
- 22:56Dayna Roselli: We've complimented the folks at T-Mobile before.
- 22:58Dayna Roselli: I feel the same about Sphere.
- 22:59Dayna Roselli: They're so nice, so friendly, willing to help, telling you where you're gonna go.
- 23:04Dayna Roselli: I like them over there.
- 23:06Dayna Roselli: It's a great experience.
- 23:07Dayna Roselli: So for anyone that says, I'm not sure if I want to spend the money, I don't know.
- 23:12Dayna Roselli: I think it's worth it.
- 23:13Dayna Roselli: I think it's a once and only.
- 23:14Dayna Roselli: If you're coming to Vegas or you want to come to Las Vegas, um, you know, you could do a long weekend, get the sphere in, stay in a room for two nights, do a couple of the main things.
- 23:26Dayna Roselli: We actually are going to talk about some free things to do in Las Vegas, you know, build around some free things.
- 23:31Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 23:32Sean McAllister: And whether you come in and see one of the film experiences there or a live concert, you really can't go wrong.
- 23:40Sean McAllister: Um, but going back to Wizard of Oz, those tickets, they've sold over four million tickets, nearly a half billion dollars in ticket sales.
- 23:49Sean McAllister: It's incredible.
- 23:49Sean McAllister: Wild.
- 23:50Sean McAllister: And that's since it opened in August of last year of 2025.
- 23:54Sean McAllister: I know.
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: So the next act that's been announced at the sphere is John Mayer.
- 24:00Dayna Roselli: And uh it's funny because he was with Dead and Company, um, which I think a lot of people didn't even realize if you didn't go or you didn't know much about Dead and Company, but you know, it was uh band members from The Grateful Dead and John Mayer.
- 24:12Dayna Roselli: Um, so now he's getting his own solo sphere show.
- 24:16Dayna Roselli: People seem excited about this.
- 24:18Dayna Roselli: I've seen a couple friends comment underneath, like they're on the list to get all the information and get into the the room and get the tick.
- 24:24Dayna Roselli: I mean, people are people are gonna have a little nostalgia over this too, because John Mayer's got some hits, man.
- 24:31Sean McAllister: He does.
- 24:31Sean McAllister: So the sphere bug must have bitten him while he was here before.
- 24:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 24:36Sean McAllister: And now developing his own show over there.
- 24:39Sean McAllister: Um, so that limited it run, it's a limited run as it stands right now, as of this recording.
- 24:47Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 24:47Dayna Roselli: It's never limited, it's usually just called limited and then they add.
- 24:50Sean McAllister: It's just limited numbers of shows are announced and tickets available.
- 24:55Sean McAllister: So this is for six shows that start in April of 2027.
- 25:00Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 25:00Sean McAllister: Um, and it goes through it's uh beginning of April through April 18th at the moment.
- 25:06Sean McAllister: However, as we say with with many shows, especially at Sphere, we do anticipate more shows being announced.
- 25:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 25:16Dayna Roselli: So stay tuned.
- 25:18Dayna Roselli: Um, we did mention free things, just a quick I know people love the Bellagio Conservatory.
- 25:23Dayna Roselli: Who doesn't?
- 25:24Dayna Roselli: It's amazing.
- 25:24Dayna Roselli: Just a reminder it's free, it's 24-7, you can go whenever, and the new fall display is up.
- 25:30Dayna Roselli: It's stunning.
- 25:31Dayna Roselli: We saw some pictures, we haven't been over there yet, but FYI, I know locals and visitors like to visit the Bellagio.
- 25:38Dayna Roselli: And there's another uh free thing that we actually put in the TV show, and then we actually walked by and saw it for ourselves over at the palazzo.
- 25:46Sean McAllister: Yeah, this is called Shy Society.
- 25:48Sean McAllister: It's right in the lobby of the palazzo, just steps outside of uh Lavo, if you're familiar with um you you know, with that restaurant.
- 25:57Sean McAllister: So uh it this is called Shy Society.
- 26:00Sean McAllister: You look up in the air, and there's all of these flowers that are suspended, and they're all like changing height and opening and closing, and it really is one of those things where you could like sit down and just be mesmerized by it.
- 26:15Dayna Roselli: I know it was cool.
- 26:17Dayna Roselli: I love what they say.
- 26:18Dayna Roselli: Uh there are um illuminated sculptures that bloom, retreat, and move in choreographed sequences.
- 26:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 26:24Dayna Roselli: So, um, and it changes throughout the day.
- 26:27Dayna Roselli: It was created uh exclusively for the Venetian.
- 26:30Dayna Roselli: So anyway, check it out.
- 26:32Dayna Roselli: It's really pretty.
- 26:32Dayna Roselli: It's uh like pastel colors, like purple, light, light, light purple, light pinks, really, really pretty.
- 26:38Dayna Roselli: And I don't know, you can get a good picture somehow.
- 26:40Dayna Roselli: Put the can't put the phone on the ground.
- 26:43Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 26:44Dayna Roselli: Stand put your face in there, get it.
- 26:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 26:48Dayna Roselli: But it's it's nice.
- 26:50Dayna Roselli: Um, Halloween's right around the corner, and a lot of people ask us about what kinds of Halloween events take place in Las Vegas.
- 26:55Dayna Roselli: Um, it's literally endless because just like everything, Las Vegas loves to just go uh time extra times 10 with every single holiday or moment.
- 27:06Dayna Roselli: Um, but a couple off strip things.
- 27:09Dayna Roselli: Um, actually, I had a friend in town who had some friends with him.
- 27:13Dayna Roselli: And this one friend who comes to Las Vegas often did say, Hey, I'm heading out to the Sandollar Lounge.
- 27:19Dayna Roselli: I like to go there on my visits.
- 27:21Dayna Roselli: And I go, really?
- 27:21Dayna Roselli: You go like off the strip?
- 27:22Dayna Roselli: And he's like, Yeah, I love it.
- 27:23Dayna Roselli: He was trying to describe, he had forgotten the name.
- 27:25Dayna Roselli: He's like, It's a lounge, it's just over there.
- 27:27Dayna Roselli: And I was like, Sand dollar?
- 27:28Dayna Roselli: He's like, Yes, I love to go there for live music and the vibe, and it's just a cool place.
- 27:34Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, it really, really is.
- 27:35Dayna Roselli: We have covered uh Miracle on Spring Mountain during Christmas over and over through the years, but they're doing a Halloween theme this year, and they may have done it in the past, but it's called The Haunting on Spring Mountain.
- 27:48Dayna Roselli: It is officially open and it runs through Halloween, October 31st.
- 27:53Sean McAllister: And this is the kind of place where uh literally every square inch is going to be covered in all things Halloween.
- 28:01Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 28:01Sean McAllister: They have specialty cocktails, they have m cups and mugs um that are Halloween themed.
- 28:09Sean McAllister: So it's a good time, great spot.
- 28:12Sean McAllister: Um, and it's definitely worth getting off the strip a little bit.
- 28:17Sean McAllister: It's just on Spring Mountain, so it's not far away.
- 28:19Sean McAllister: It's a quick Uber ride or taxi ride.
- 28:22Sean McAllister: Um, but it's definitely worth going over there.
- 28:25Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 28:25Dayna Roselli: It's just it's a it's a classic.
- 28:27Dayna Roselli: It is fun.
- 28:28Dayna Roselli: If that's your thing, you're gonna love it.
- 28:30Dayna Roselli: And I know it's so many people think people love it.
- 28:32Dayna Roselli: They're like, we need to go, we need to go, we need to go.
- 28:34Dayna Roselli: So FYI.
- 28:36Dayna Roselli: Um, there's also movies on the green at the district at Green Valley Ranch.
- 28:40Dayna Roselli: Now that's in the Green Valley Henderson area, southeast Las Vegas.
- 28:44Dayna Roselli: Not a very far car ride from the strip.
- 28:46Dayna Roselli: No, it's a beautiful property.
- 28:47Sean McAllister: Yeah, like 15 minutes.
- 28:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so they're doing uh celebrating the spooky season with movies on the green, and this takes place through Saturday, October 24th.
- 28:57Dayna Roselli: Um, and it's 5:30 to 8.
- 28:59Dayna Roselli: You can gather on the green, enjoy a lineup of some Halloween uh movies, and some they'll have gonna have some special character appearances there, so that's kind of fun.
- 29:10Dayna Roselli: Uh live music.
- 29:11Dayna Roselli: So they got a lot going on.
- 29:12Dayna Roselli: You can bring your own blanket, and the movie starts at sunset.
- 29:18Sean McAllister: And the district is like an outdoor uh shopping district, right?
- 29:22Sean McAllister: And it really is beautiful.
- 29:24Sean McAllister: They do it uh the way they decorate it um for holidays, uh, Halloween right now, but then even at Christmas time and beyond.
- 29:32Sean McAllister: Um, it's just a really nice, you know, walkable area with restaurants and shops, and of course, Green Valley Ranch Casino is right there as well.
- 29:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's it's it is.
- 29:43Dayna Roselli: It's it's an adorable place.
- 29:44Dayna Roselli: I love whenever I can get down there and enjoy it.
- 29:47Dayna Roselli: Um the movies are October 10th, Halloween Town, Saturday, October 17th, Scooby-Doo.
- 29:52Dayna Roselli: Um, and there's gonna be special appearances from the gang.
- 29:55Dayna Roselli: Ooh.
- 29:55Dayna Roselli: And then uh Saturday, October 24th, they're showing practical magic.
- 30:00Dayna Roselli: And um each night there's or a couple of the nights there, it's benefiting also charity organizations.
- 30:05Dayna Roselli: So go have some fun.
- 30:07Sean McAllister: Hey, uh, we are full swing into uh pro football season.
- 30:13Sean McAllister: Yes, and people have been going crazy with the tailgates over at uh allegiance stadium.
- 30:21Sean McAllister: Yeah, there was a uh pop-up with a bunch of um Paramount stars recently, and people are going crazy for it.
- 30:29Dayna Roselli: The winged monkeys went the winged shuttle draw bus from the Wizard of Oz Sphere to the Raiders game.
- 30:35Sean McAllister: I have been loving seeing these winged monkeys popping up all over Las Vegas.
- 30:40Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 30:41Sean McAllister: You can see it on the Sphere's uh Instagram account, and it's just such a clever marketing thing.
- 30:47Sean McAllister: Yeah, I love it.
- 30:48Dayna Roselli: And you know, go Raiders.
- 30:49Dayna Roselli: We were uh three and oh.
- 30:51Dayna Roselli: We were hoping to go for four and oh, but we didn't, we lost to the Chiefs.
- 30:55Dayna Roselli: It was a good game.
- 30:56Dayna Roselli: Um, but you know, Vegas is rallying, and we need more Raiders fans in Allegiant Stadium.
- 31:00Dayna Roselli: I know everyone's calling out for it.
- 31:01Dayna Roselli: Like, come on, support the team, but happy to see them doing well.
- 31:06Dayna Roselli: And, you know, no matter what anyone says, there's always smack talk, but you know what?
- 31:10Dayna Roselli: It's fun.
- 31:11Dayna Roselli: We have won three games in a row.
- 31:12Dayna Roselli: We got a you know, new players, new coach, so it's exciting for Raider Nation.
- 31:17Sean McAllister: And we have uh the Bills game coming up on October 18th.
- 31:20Sean McAllister: It's huge.
- 31:20Sean McAllister: Which there has been Bill's Mania's Mania in Las Vegas.
- 31:28Sean McAllister: So many I mean, on strip and neighborhood places are announcing like all these Buffalo Bills specials for hosting watch parties, doing uh having special menus.
- 31:42Sean McAllister: I mean, it's wild.
- 31:44Sean McAllister: I was not expecting that, but then I who was who are we talking to?
- 31:48Sean McAllister: Um, and they were like, well, it kind of does make sense because there are so many people from Western New York who have moved and relocated here to Las Vegas.
- 31:58Dayna Roselli: Uh we were talking to Kevin Bollinger from Fox Five.
- 32:00Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 32:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and he's uh he knows his sports and he talks to fans and people all the time because he covers sports for Fox Five.
- 32:08Dayna Roselli: Um, but he was saying that, yeah, that it's he said he's never had more people hit him up, like, hey, can you get me tickets?
- 32:13Dayna Roselli: And he's like, No, I can't even get tickets for myself.
- 32:16Dayna Roselli: I can come in and cover it.
- 32:17Dayna Roselli: Um, but uh it's it's yeah, and I had um some some friends of mine at uh where I live, they have season tickets.
- 32:24Dayna Roselli: I said, Hey, are you using your Bills Raiders tickets?
- 32:26Dayna Roselli: They're like, Oh, yeah, we are.
- 32:28Dayna Roselli: They're like, for some reason, everyone's like it's the hottest game of the year.
- 32:32Dayna Roselli: Now, the Raiders don't often play the Bills, so that makes it a a big deal.
- 32:37Dayna Roselli: Uh B, we thought maybe we'd be two undefeated teams playing each other, but now we're both three and one.
- 32:44Dayna Roselli: So that's it, fun.
- 32:46Dayna Roselli: Um, but like you mentioned, Resorts World is doing a bill, a big Bills pop-up at one of the restaurants.
- 32:51Dayna Roselli: Um, also, Category 10, Luke Combs's new honky tonk on the strip is opening officially October 15th, so they're ready to go with a big Bills party on the 18th as well.
- 33:03Sean McAllister: And then we have just uh regular uh establishments in Las Vegas that are always gearing toward Bills fans.
- 33:13Sean McAllister: You know, they have Western New York food, they've got the the Buffalo wings, they've got uh all the specialties from back in Western New York, but uh they're it's they're gathering spots.
- 33:24Sean McAllister: These bars are gathering spots for people from the area who've relocated and naked pizza.
- 33:30Dayna Roselli: They sell out there, they've already been sold out for their Bills thing.
- 33:33Dayna Roselli: They put like a big tent in the parking lot and everything, and they're from Buffalo.
- 33:37Sean McAllister: So fun.
- 33:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 33:39Dayna Roselli: Um, but anyway, in the NFL season in general, we did get a note from uh Redhead Burger, FYI, and they're offering uh buy one beer, get one beer at 50% off during any NFL game.
- 33:51Dayna Roselli: You can pop in Thursdays, Sundays, Mondays to enjoy the special.
- 33:55Dayna Roselli: And Redhead Burger is at the Venetian.
- 33:57Sean McAllister: Yep, they're at the Venetian.
- 33:59Sean McAllister: As you um go through the uh Grand Canal shops, you'll you'll find Redhead Burger over there.
- 34:06Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 34:06Dayna Roselli: Well, um, pizza sounds great.
- 34:09Dayna Roselli: So does cake and ice cream, and Betty Crocker's 105th birthday is this month in October.
- 34:16Dayna Roselli: So they're doing a big thing at the Museum of Ice Cream.
- 34:18Dayna Roselli: Uh, and they're it's all building up to this big birthday bash on October 21st.
- 34:23Dayna Roselli: Um, they are doing a birthday cake flavored ice cream over there.
- 34:27Dayna Roselli: There's little activation.
- 34:29Dayna Roselli: So now might be the time for you to go over to the Museum of Ice Cream, located at Area 15, and check out some of the things they have going on.
- 34:38Dayna Roselli: If you already like ice cream and now you want a little cake, then Betty Crocker month is your is your time.
- 34:44Sean McAllister: Well, there are few things that go together better than cake and ice cream.
- 34:49Sean McAllister: So celebrating good old Betty Crocker, who's made our birthday cakes possible for decades.
- 34:56Sean McAllister: Thanks, Betty.
- 34:58Sean McAllister: Happy birthday.
- 34:58Dayna Roselli: And you know what?
- 34:59Dayna Roselli: My favorite thing is just an ice cream cake.
- 35:01Dayna Roselli: I like that too.
- 35:02Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 35:04Sean McAllister: And it's hard to find them these days.
- 35:07Dayna Roselli: I know it is.
- 35:08Dayna Roselli: Come on, Betty.
- 35:09Dayna Roselli: Come on.
- 35:09Dayna Roselli: Well, Betty is a star and a celebrity, but we've got more celebrity news with a Vegas twist coming up now.
- 35:16Dayna Roselli: Hey, Sean, I forgot to mention we were gonna mention it during our Metallica conversation, but Matthew McConaughey was at Metallica one night.
- 35:26Dayna Roselli: Uh fans caught him up there.
- 35:27Dayna Roselli: He was waving.
- 35:29Dayna Roselli: Uh, so he was there at Metallica checking it out.
- 35:31Dayna Roselli: First big star sighting, and I'm sure there's tons of others that have been there, and we'll see many more over at Sphere for Metallica.
- 35:38Sean McAllister: Undoubtedly.
- 35:38Sean McAllister: Yeah, it'll be fun to see who uh pops up over there.
- 35:42Sean McAllister: Uh, but there was uh uh an event that went down at one of our day clubs on the Las Vegas strip, and it had everyone saying, Yeah, buddy.
- 35:52Dayna Roselli: Jim 10 wedding.
- 35:54Dayna Roselli: Uh, congratulations to Vegas resident and Jersey Shore cast member DJ Pauly D.
- 35:59Dayna Roselli: He was DJing at Omnia Day Club, called his girlfriend Nikki Hall up on the kind of like edge of the DJ booth, proposed to her.
- 36:10Dayna Roselli: Uh, she said yes.
- 36:12Dayna Roselli: Apparently, you know, uh he grabbed the mic.
- 36:15Dayna Roselli: They started playing like Bruno Mars Marry You.
- 36:17Dayna Roselli: So really cute moment.
- 36:19Dayna Roselli: We have some video airing in our television show coming up, but you know, Nikki and Polly met at MTV's double shot at love.
- 36:26Dayna Roselli: So hey, it worked.
- 36:29Sean McAllister: I mean, and so there is potential that this wedding could turn out to be like a TV crossover event.
- 36:36Sean McAllister: It can be like the success story of MTV's double shot at love combined with a Jersey Shore wedding.
- 36:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 36:46Sean McAllister: I mean could be the whole thing.
- 36:47Dayna Roselli: Well, it's funny because you and I covered um Polly D uh DJing at Sugar Factory on the strip.
- 36:54Dayna Roselli: I want to say that was at least six years ago.
- 36:56Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 36:56Dayna Roselli: And he was with Nikki at that.
- 36:58Dayna Roselli: It was a new relationship.
- 36:59Dayna Roselli: And I was, I don't I didn't pay attention through the years to see if they were still together, but I was so happy to see when he proposed her.
- 37:05Dayna Roselli: I'm like, that's Nikki.
- 37:06Dayna Roselli: We saw her that they've been together this long.
- 37:09Dayna Roselli: So uh we wish them the best.
- 37:11Dayna Roselli: Polly's amazing.
- 37:12Dayna Roselli: Uh, he's a lot of fun, and he just brings the energy and joy.
- 37:16Dayna Roselli: So I think it's gonna be um, I think it's gonna be a union that'll last.
- 37:20Sean McAllister: I hope so.
- 37:20Sean McAllister: Congratulations, Polly and Nikki.
- 37:23Sean McAllister: Hey, we have more celebrity sightings.
- 37:25Sean McAllister: Um, Mark Wahlberg was out and about in uh near Summerlin the other day.
- 37:31Sean McAllister: The um there was a relaunch for Suncoast Hotel and Casino.
- 37:37Sean McAllister: This is one of the Boyd Gaming properties.
- 37:39Sean McAllister: Uh, Mark Wahlberg was over there joining the executives to kick things off and welcome everyone to the newly transformed center bar over there.
- 37:49Sean McAllister: Um, I'm sure his tequila was also being served.
- 37:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's called Bar SC.
- 37:54Dayna Roselli: And, you know, they've just refurbished all parts of the Suncoast Hotel and Casino.
- 37:59Dayna Roselli: It's a great spot.
- 38:00Dayna Roselli: Um, top to bottom transformation over there.
- 38:03Dayna Roselli: And so this was the big unveil.
- 38:04Dayna Roselli: It was like a VIP party.
- 38:06Dayna Roselli: And I thought it was cool that Mark went, you know, he's opening a gym over in that area, and he probably figures be nice to the neighbors, let's all collaborate and let's stick together, and this is what it's about.
- 38:14Dayna Roselli: He's always been such a savvy businessman when it comes to that.
- 38:17Sean McAllister: Oh, incredibly.
- 38:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 38:19Sean McAllister: And he makes so many appearances around Las Vegas all the time.
- 38:25Dayna Roselli: Did you see he wore his municipal shirt, so it's in all the pictures.
- 38:28Dayna Roselli: He's smart.
- 38:29Sean McAllister: He's repping every single brand that he's got.
- 38:32Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 38:32Sean McAllister: This guy knows what he's doing.
- 38:34Dayna Roselli: But so yeah, anyway, a couple uh things to talk about celebrity-wise, but um a third one we wanted to mention was it was great to see Wayne Newton out there cranking the siren at the Golden Knights game, too.
- 38:44Sean McAllister: Yeah, and NHL regular season, also back in full swing.
- 38:48Sean McAllister: Uh the start of an 84-game season for the Vegas Golden Knights.
- 38:54Sean McAllister: Um, and Wayne, Mr.
- 38:56Sean McAllister: Las Vegas, over there to fire up the crowd for official season game number one.
- 39:03Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was great to see.
- 39:04Dayna Roselli: I was like, wow, Wayne's still got it.
- 39:06Dayna Roselli: He was it's hard to crank that thing.
- 39:08Sean McAllister: You gotta really it looks like it.
- 39:10Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I went with I told you I went with Debbie Gibson to do it.
- 39:12Dayna Roselli: Um, she I shot some of her social media videos for her for that, and she was like, it's not easy, you know.
- 39:20Dayna Roselli: So Wayne, he did great.
- 39:22Dayna Roselli: Um, so yeah, it was good to see him out there.
- 39:24Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 39:24Dayna Roselli: It's go so great because we have so many people to choose from here in Las Vegas to get that, you know, celebrity moment up there and the so many games.
- 39:33Sean McAllister: And whether it's a celebrity who lives here or someone who's like passing through for a concert or a show that they're a part of.
- 39:41Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 39:42Sean McAllister: Um, yeah, it really is endless.
- 39:44Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 39:44Sean McAllister: Hey, thanks so much for joining us this week on Vegas Revealed.
- 39:49Sean McAllister: Um, gosh, we've got so much coming up, including a great new interview with Donnie Osmond.
- 39:55Sean McAllister: We stopped over and chatted with him over at Hera's, so that's coming up soon.
- 40:00Dayna Roselli: Tons of stuff.
- 40:00Dayna Roselli: We've got so much coming up.
- 40:02Dayna Roselli: Here's the deal you're gonna have to hang with us.
- 40:03Dayna Roselli: I've got to go home for three weeks in November.
- 40:05Dayna Roselli: Um, my mom's having a knee surgery, so it's gonna be hard for Sean and I to sit in the same room and do some podcasts.
- 40:12Dayna Roselli: So we may need to get a little creative, but um, we're still gonna do coverage.
- 40:16Dayna Roselli: So all these things we've been gathering, we're gonna kind of spread them out over November.
- 40:20Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, also be able to talk about some stuff, but um just just hang tight with us.
- 40:25Dayna Roselli: But I think actually um we're gonna have some great, you know, conversations and stories about things that are in Las Vegas and staples in Las Vegas, different attractions, things that we've experienced.
- 40:37Dayna Roselli: So the podcast continues on.
- 40:38Dayna Roselli: Just if it if it you feel like it changed a little or it doesn't feel as maybe current as the week, that that might be why.
- 40:45Sean McAllister: But you'll still be getting new episodes of Vegas Revealed.
- 40:49Sean McAllister: Always.
- 40:50Dayna Roselli: Always.
- 40:50Sean McAllister: And as always, you can go to our uh Vegas Revealed YouTube channel and watch uh some of the shows and stories that we include in our TV show.
- 40:59Sean McAllister: Um, there's a lot of stuff up there and a lot of stuff that'll help with planning a Las Vegas trip.
- 41:06Dayna Roselli: If you want visuals, that's the place to be.
- 41:08Dayna Roselli: We we can't even believe how much we have on there.
- 41:10Dayna Roselli: Um, and we want you to utilize that too.
- 41:13Dayna Roselli: So thanks for joining us, and we'll be back next week.
