- 0:00Speaker 1: Accidents don't wait for great timing. One bad moment, a wreck,
- 0:03Speaker 1: a fall, a doctor who wasn't paying attention. Suddenly you're
- 0:06Speaker 1: fighting an insurance company that does this every single day.
- 0:09Speaker 1: And that's why Clay started Clay Travis Law. He's a
- 0:11Speaker 1: Vanderbilt Law grad, built a firm around the idea that
- 0:14Speaker 1: people deserve someone willing to pay attention, ask the hard questions,
- 0:17Speaker 1: push back when things don't add up. Experienced trial attorneys
- 0:20Speaker 1: who bring the fight to corporations and insurers based in Nashville,
- 0:23Speaker 1: trusted across the country.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Car and truck wrecks, ride share accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability,
- 0:28Speaker 2: product liability. If you were wrong, they want to hear
- 0:31Speaker 2: about it. Here's what they promise.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Honesty.
- 0:33Speaker 2: They don't sugarcoat your case. You'll hear what it's actually worth,
- 0:35Speaker 2: not what you want to hear. Case evaluation is free.
- 0:38Speaker 2: No charge, no pressure, no hassle. Just tell them your story.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Go to claytravislaw.com or call them at 877-222-4444. That's claytravislaw.com.
- 0:47Speaker 2: No case is too big or too small. Chad, scale
- 0:51Speaker 2: of 1 to 10, how easy or.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Difficult would you say it was to come up with
- 0:56Speaker 1: your list this week?
- 0:57Speaker 3: 9 out of 10, Hutton. Very, very easy.
- 1:00Speaker 2: There are some weeks where I have 14 to 17
- 1:02Speaker 2: games I list, and then I try to decipher between
- 1:05Speaker 2: those to get down to 10. This week I've listed
- 1:08Speaker 2: 11 games as possibilities. So apologies to Florida State at Louisville,
- 1:13Speaker 2: who did not make the cut. That was my 11th
- 1:15Speaker 2: game out, the only one of my games that I
- 1:18Speaker 2: listed that did not make it. College football, top 10
- 1:22Speaker 2: games of the week.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Hutton, are you ready? I am ready.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Can't wait. Chad Withrow's top 10 games of the week
- 1:27Speaker 1: starts right now.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Games 10 through 6, let's start there. South Carolina at
- 1:32Speaker 2: number 16, Florida, is game number 10.
- 1:36Speaker 3: We're going to go 10 to 1 on this. South
- 1:39Speaker 3: Carolina at number 16, Florida.
- 1:41Speaker 2: This game will be at 11.45 a.m. Central Time on
- 1:44Speaker 2: SEC Network. South Carolina, three straight losses. Bad news for
- 1:48Speaker 2: the Gamecocks. Their next three games are against top 25 teams.
- 1:53Speaker 2: So the run game has been excellent so far for
- 1:56Speaker 2: South Carolina.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Dylan Stewart will return.
- 1:59Speaker 2: And, guys, let's put 10 through 6 up on the
- 2:01Speaker 2: screen if we can, please. Don't want to reveal too
- 2:04Speaker 2: quickly about the top five, but I think everybody can
- 2:06Speaker 2: guess what number one is going to be. So for
- 2:08Speaker 2: South Carolina, Hutton, three in a row, they don't want
- 2:12Speaker 2: to go to six straight losses, obviously, for the sake
- 2:14Speaker 2: of Shane Beamer and keeping his job. Florida, they're the
- 2:17Speaker 2: media darling. A week ago, they go to Missouri. They
- 2:21Speaker 2: get housed. How do they respond at home in this game?
- 2:24Speaker 2: We're going to find out in one of the early
- 2:25Speaker 2: games tomorrow.
- 2:27Speaker 1: This is a funeral procession, Chad. South Carolina, Florida.
- 2:32Speaker 2: This is not the beginning of the end for Shane Beamer.
- 2:36Speaker 2: You're saying this is more of the middle of the
- 2:37Speaker 2: procession of the end for him.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I feel like we're on the death march here.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it's going to be interesting because South Carolina, they
- 2:45Speaker 2: do have one of the best running games in the nation.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Running games typically travel. On the road. Is Florida, did
- 2:52Speaker 3: they get too much praise too early? I'm with you.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I think Florida handles business. And they're catching Florida off
- 2:57Speaker 2: the loss. I think we're going to continue talking about.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Shane Beamer's job.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Catching Florida off the loss doesn't help.
- 3:01Speaker 3: No, you're right.
- 3:03Speaker 2: How about catching Ole Miss off the loss? And Vanderbilt
- 3:06Speaker 2: off the loss. That's game number nine. Ole Miss, a
- 3:09Speaker 2: nine-and-a-half point favorite on the road in Nashville at Vanderbilt.
- 3:12Speaker 3: 2.30 Central time on ESPN.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Weather is going to be an issue in this game, Hutton,
- 3:20Speaker 2: and it's one that all the rain that was supposed
- 3:23Speaker 2: to be in Tuscaloosa for their game against Georgia looks
- 3:26Speaker 2: like it's going to be in Nashville possibly tomorrow afternoon.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Could be out of here earlier than that also, and
- 3:30Speaker 2: we could be fine for that game. Ole Miss coming
- 3:33Speaker 2: off a bye. Trinidad Chambliss, how is he going to
- 3:36Speaker 2: perform on the road in this game?
- 3:38Speaker 3: Jared Curtis, who was.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Out against Georgia, should be back for the Commodores. Game
- 3:43Speaker 2: number eight, Iowa at Washington. Iowa ranked 20th nationally, coming
- 3:47Speaker 2: off that big-time showcase game at home against Ohio State.
- 3:50Speaker 2: They go on the road to Seattle to take on
- 3:52Speaker 2: a Washington team that has been a disappointment. Washington still
- 3:56Speaker 2: a three-point favorite in this game. It's tonight on Fox,
- 3:59Speaker 2: 8 p.m. Central Time, 9 p.m. Eastern for this game.
- 4:02Speaker 2: A Jonathan Hutton special for this one. How does Iowa
- 4:05Speaker 2: bounce back? How does Washington bounce back after the road
- 4:08Speaker 2: loss to USC? DeMond Williams for Washington. Outside Heisman chances
- 4:13Speaker 2: coming into the season. People saw Washington's Big Ten schedule
- 4:16Speaker 2: and thought they have a real opportunity to be a
- 4:18Speaker 2: college football playoff sleeper.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Not been the case for the Huskies.
- 4:21Speaker 2: A chance to get right against a really good opponent
- 4:24Speaker 2: tonight for Washington in this one.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Hard rock bet right now.
- 4:27Speaker 2: 3.5.
- 4:27Speaker 1: You've got Iowa getting 3.5 on the road there.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I don't know where I'm going with this one.
- 4:35Speaker 2: I got a hard time because of that trip to Seattle,
- 4:38Speaker 2: what it's going to be like for Iowa. But we
- 4:39Speaker 2: may get some picks on this one a little bit later.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Game number seven, Hutton, let's stay in the Big Ten.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Number 19, USC, on the road at Penn State. The
- 4:47Speaker 2: Nittany Lions, a one-and-a-half point favorite, 7.30 Eastern time, 6.30
- 4:51Speaker 2: Central kickoff. on NBC. Why is Penn State favored, Hutton?
- 4:57Speaker 2: It is the wideout game. Wideout has very different meanings
- 5:01Speaker 2: at Penn State, as we found out with an offseason story,
- 5:04Speaker 2: but their wideout game this year against USC. Penn State's
- 5:07Speaker 2: dropped two games in a row. They lose at home
- 5:09Speaker 2: to Wisconsin, and then they go to Northwestern and get
- 5:12Speaker 2: blown out.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Since Lincoln Riley took over at USC.
- 5:17Speaker 2: The Trojans are 0-5 as road underdogs. They're only 5-5
- 5:21Speaker 2: as single-digit favorites on the road. That's no bueno for
- 5:25Speaker 2: the lack of road warrior ability for USC. That's why
- 5:29Speaker 2: Penn State is favored, Hutton. I still got a hard time,
- 5:32Speaker 2: even though it's the whiteout, everything else going on. I
- 5:34Speaker 2: have a hard time picking Penn State in this game.
- 5:36Speaker 2: They have not looked good in year one under Matt Campbell.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I agree.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I also have a hard time picking Lincoln Riley, too,
- 5:42Speaker 1: on the road. because he had that win against Washington.
- 5:46Speaker 1: They've played better. USC, though, Chad, to me, for Lincoln
- 5:51Speaker 1: Riley to win me over, he's got to prove it
- 5:52Speaker 1: on the road. His team has to prove it on
- 5:54Speaker 1: the road. This is one of those games, and just
- 5:55Speaker 1: the environments and the travel, everything involved. I stayed away
- 5:59Speaker 1: from this game because I don't know which way I
- 6:02Speaker 1: feel better, Pitt State this year or USC on the road.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Yeah, those two Big Ten games, back-to-back, I have a
- 6:10Speaker 2: hard time picking one way or the other. Iowa at
- 6:12Speaker 2: Washington and USC at Penn State.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Game number six.
- 6:15Speaker 2: I'm going to go ahead and give you my pick
- 6:17Speaker 2: on this one, I think. Texas A & M is
- 6:19Speaker 2: about to go on the road and beat Missouri. 14th
- 6:21Speaker 2: ranked Missouri after destroying Florida at home is a three-and-a-half
- 6:25Speaker 2: point favorite. 12 noon, 11 a.m. Central time on ABC.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Call it the SEC media darling curse. Ole Miss beats LSU.
- 6:37Speaker 2: The next week they go to the Swamp. Get blown out.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Yes.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Florida blows out Ole Miss. Now it's Buster Faulkner this,
- 6:44Speaker 2: Buster Faulkner that.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I'm following you.
- 6:46Speaker 2: John Sumrall's a dude. That rushing attack can't be stopped.
- 6:50Speaker 2: They go up to Missouri. They get smacked in the
- 6:53Speaker 2: face with a 2x4.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Actually, they got stoned by those stones in the end zone.
- 6:58Speaker 3: I was about to say the same thing. They're in Missouri.
- 6:59Speaker 2: They got stoned in that game by Missouri. Now Eli
- 7:02Speaker 2: Drinkwitz is like, I'm not going to sit and listen
- 7:04Speaker 2: to you guys and your AP votes and your tweets.
- 7:07Speaker 3: And everything else. and whatever you want to say about
- 7:09Speaker 3: your program.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Eli, you're definitely not going to hear what people say
- 7:12Speaker 2: about your program after you lose at home to Texas
- 7:14Speaker 2: A & M in this game. Give me the Aggies
- 7:16Speaker 2: to go on the road and get the upset. I
- 7:19Speaker 2: think the SEC media darling curse is a real thing
- 7:23Speaker 2: for teams coming off a high and then facing a
- 7:26Speaker 2: tricky opponent the next week. I think A & M
- 7:29Speaker 2: gets it right. I think Marcel Reed and A &
- 7:30Speaker 2: M gain some confidence in that easy win over Arkansas.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I think that defense is going to play well. I
- 7:37Speaker 2: think they go on the road and beat Missouri this
- 7:38Speaker 2: week as a 3.5-point underdog.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Chad, Texas A & M, not as good as I
- 7:43Speaker 1: thought they would be. They're also not this bad.
- 7:46Speaker 3: No.
- 7:46Speaker 1: And neither is Marcel Reed. And I don't think Missouri
- 7:49Speaker 1: is as good as we think they are here. I
- 7:53Speaker 1: understand the curse and all that, but the team coming
- 7:55Speaker 1: off a big win, I don't mind this upset pick
- 7:58Speaker 1: on the money line at all. I would take the points.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I also don't think that Mike Elko is the type
- 8:04Speaker 2: of coach who's going to have a team quit. I
- 8:07Speaker 2: don't think there's going to be give up or quit
- 8:09Speaker 2: with A & M. I think they rally in this game.
- 8:11Speaker 1: They're too talented to lose as many games as what
- 8:15Speaker 1: we assume they will based on their two-game skid.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Now let's go to our top five. Top five games
- 8:20Speaker 2: of the college football weekend. Number five, Red River shootout,
- 8:24Speaker 2: Red River rivalry, whatever you want to call it. This
- 8:26Speaker 2: is going to be a rugby scrum of a football game.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Two great defenses and two very average to, in Oklahoma's case,
- 8:34Speaker 2: I think below average offenses so far this year. Number one, Texas,
- 8:39Speaker 2: a seven and a half point favorite against Oklahoma, neutral
- 8:42Speaker 2: site game, 2.30 central time on ABC. Oklahoma's offense, Hutton,
- 8:47Speaker 2: How bad have they been? They're 112th nationally in yards
- 8:51Speaker 2: per play and on points per drive. Texas ranks 120th
- 8:59Speaker 2: in yards per play. Both of these offenses have been bad.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Arch Manning's QBR against the Blitz is one of the
- 9:07Speaker 2: worst in America.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Oklahoma.
- 9:10Speaker 2: has the best sack rate in America. What gives in
- 9:14Speaker 2: this game? You look at this matchup on paper, and
- 9:16Speaker 2: this looks like a 10-7 football game. Oklahoma's defense is
- 9:20Speaker 2: going to get to Arch Manning the way Tennessee did.
- 9:22Speaker 2: They're going to affect him. He's not good against the Blitz.
- 9:25Speaker 2: He's not good when he's pressured. They lead the nation
- 9:28Speaker 2: in sack rate. Texas' offense has been pedestrian. John Mateer
- 9:32Speaker 2: has been bad. I still like Texas to cover in
- 9:35Speaker 2: this game somehow, some way, but Hutton, you look at
- 9:38Speaker 2: it on paper, and this looks like a 10-7 football game.
- 9:41Speaker 1: What gives is I've seen Texas at least beat a
- 9:45Speaker 1: quality opponent with a comeback and do it behind their
- 9:49Speaker 1: quarterback play. I've seen other aspects of that team. What
- 9:52Speaker 1: gives is the Texas defense, not the Oklahoma defense. I
- 9:55Speaker 1: would take the Texas defense here. And this is my
- 9:57Speaker 1: lock of the week. I got this at 7.5. locked
- 10:00Speaker 1: it in at minus 7.5 against Oklahoma.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I shouldn't say 120 for Texas in yards per play.
- 10:06Speaker 2: It's yards per carry in the rushing game. Their run
- 10:08Speaker 2: game has been bad. They're not worse than Oklahoma offensively, though.
- 10:11Speaker 2: So let me make that correction. Not yards per play.
- 10:14Speaker 2: That was the Oklahoma stat. Yards per carry for Texas,
- 10:16Speaker 2: they're really bad. Game number four, number 10 LSU, eight
- 10:20Speaker 2: and a half point favorite in Lexington against the Kentucky Wildcats.
- 10:23Speaker 2: The suddenly resurgent Kentucky Wildcats under Will Stein. They have
- 10:26Speaker 2: a swagger. They have an offense. They have an opportunistic
- 10:30Speaker 2: physical defense. They've got a physical run game now with
- 10:33Speaker 2: Kentucky also. This game is 7 p.m. Eastern time kickoff
- 10:36Speaker 2: on ESPN. We keep looking for the big rain weather
- 10:39Speaker 2: game because of the hurricane coming through and the remnants.
- 10:43Speaker 3: This could be it.
- 10:44Speaker 2: At night in Lexington could be a time where there's
- 10:47Speaker 2: going to be a lot of rain and a lot
- 10:49Speaker 2: of wind.
- 10:49Speaker 3: With Kentucky hosting LSU.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Does Kentucky's physical run game come into play in this?
- 10:55Speaker 2: An opportunistic defense that's been able to turn teams over
- 10:58Speaker 2: Kentucky's offense, though, is worst in America in third-down conversions.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Might surprise you with Will Stein's offense.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Not good at all. And for LSU, Hutton, you look
- 11:08Speaker 3: at them.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Coming off really the only bad play you've seen so
- 11:15Speaker 2: far this year was against Ole Miss. They've been really
- 11:16Speaker 2: good in every other game. They're almost a double-digit favorite
- 11:19Speaker 2: on the road. I might take Kentucky to cover. in
- 11:23Speaker 2: this one I think they could muddy it up especially
- 11:25Speaker 2: if the weather's bad and this could be a very
- 11:27Speaker 2: good it's going to be a very good environment our
- 11:29Speaker 2: Jacob Lutz is going to be there I think Kentucky
- 11:31Speaker 2: covers but loses a close game he'll be there in
- 11:34Speaker 2: the rain he will and you said this is eight
- 11:36Speaker 2: and a half Chad it is eight and a half
- 11:39Speaker 2: this is one of those where I'm like what does
- 11:41Speaker 2: Vegas know because I thought this would be a lot
- 11:42Speaker 2: closer uh with the road team getting favored by eight
- 11:46Speaker 2: and a half um I want to take the points
- 11:48Speaker 2: as well. I stayed away from this one specifically because
- 11:51Speaker 2: it was too steep. It hasn't moved either all week,
- 11:54Speaker 2: which is also surprising.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Game number three. Let's go back to the Big Ten.
- 11:59Speaker 2: A game not many people would think of Big Ten
- 12:00Speaker 2: football when you see UCLA at Oregon.
- 12:03Speaker 3: But that's what you got. Two ranked opponents.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Number 21 Bruins on the road to face the Ducks
- 12:08Speaker 2: ranked 13th. Oregon an 11.5-point favorite, 3.30 Eastern time, 2.30 Central.
- 12:14Speaker 2: The old SEC-CBS game of the week time slot for
- 12:17Speaker 2: these two traditional Pac-12 rivals going head-to-head in the Big Ten.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Nothing says Big Ten like Oregon and UCLA. UCLA is
- 12:25Speaker 2: a great run game. They play good defense with a
- 12:29Speaker 2: lot of defensive playmakers. They have a mediocre passing game.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Does that sound familiar to Vols fans with Nico? Sounds
- 12:35Speaker 2: like 2024 all over again with Dylan Sampson. Really good
- 12:38Speaker 2: run game, great defense that turns people over, pedestrian passing attack.
- 12:43Speaker 2: That was Nico at Tennessee in 2024. Bob Chesney at
- 12:47Speaker 2: UCLA is recreating that right now at UCLA, and they're
- 12:51Speaker 2: having a ton of success doing it. Also, they've got
- 12:53Speaker 2: two really good running backs, Wayne Knight and Anthony Woods.
- 12:56Speaker 2: They're averaging 8.4 yards per carry out of the backfield
- 13:00Speaker 2: for UCLA. Now, they finally get tested. They had the
- 13:04Speaker 2: 54-3 win at Maryland. They had a nice win over Cal.
- 13:07Speaker 2: They haven't truly been tested yet this year. They're going
- 13:10Speaker 2: to get tested at Oregon, but Dylan Rayola is going
- 13:13Speaker 2: to be the one doing the testing. So Dante Moore out,
- 13:16Speaker 2: backup quarterback, former Nebraska starter who looked good in relief
- 13:20Speaker 2: against USC for Oregon. He's going to get the start
- 13:23Speaker 2: for the Ducks in this one. Again, Oregon an 11.5
- 13:24Speaker 2: point favorite.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it's gone up to 12.5 right now at Hard
- 13:28Speaker 1: Rock Bet. I'm looking at it right now. Can UCLA
- 13:32Speaker 1: get a spark on special teams? Can they get a return?
- 13:34Speaker 1: Can they get a block punt? Something. And if they do,
- 13:36Speaker 1: they can win this game outright. But I would just
- 13:39Speaker 1: take the points. I think this is a tight game.
- 13:40Speaker 1: I think UCLA plays well.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Game number two. Good week for the Big Ten. Let's
- 13:44Speaker 2: stay in the Big Ten. Number seven, Indiana. A 7.5
- 13:47Speaker 2: point road favorite in Lincoln to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
- 13:51Speaker 2: 12 p.m. Eastern, 11 a.m. Central on Fox. Big noon
- 13:55Speaker 2: kickoff game. The Huskers have not beaten a top ten
- 13:58Speaker 2: opponent since a 39-38 win over Michigan State in 2015.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Josh Hoover for Indiana. 71% completion rate this year. Again,
- 14:09Speaker 2: Indiana not truly tested yet this season. They played that
- 14:13Speaker 2: miserable non-conference schedule that now the Big Ten... is trying
- 14:16Speaker 2: to change and make their teams do what the SEC
- 14:18Speaker 2: is doing and play somebody in the non-conference. Nebraska, they
- 14:22Speaker 2: haven't played anybody yet either. I don't think they've played
- 14:24Speaker 2: a top 50 opponent based on FPI yet, but they
- 14:28Speaker 2: have exceeded expectations in every game. Anthony Calandria, the transfer
- 14:32Speaker 2: from UNLV, the quarterback, he's been terrific running and throwing.
- 14:36Speaker 2: First big test for the Cornhuskers. You could argue first
- 14:39Speaker 2: true test for Indiana also in this one, Hud.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Seven and a half is the spread. This feels like
- 14:44Speaker 1: one of those Matt Rule measuring stick games to me.
- 14:48Speaker 1: It's been, what, four years now? They've become part of
- 14:52Speaker 1: the talk of the conversation if they win, and all
- 14:55Speaker 1: of a sudden we start talking Indiana on a national
- 14:58Speaker 1: scale based on a great performance here because we haven't
- 15:01Speaker 1: talked about them. We've talked about Indiana as much as
- 15:03Speaker 1: we've talked about Georgia, and neither have been having conversations.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Both are on the big stage this week.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Well, and look, Indiana's not ranked first. I think they
- 15:11Speaker 2: should be ranked higher based on their play last year
- 15:13Speaker 2: and who they have on the team this year, but
- 15:15Speaker 2: they're ranked seventh. I think Nebraska needs to do at
- 15:18Speaker 2: least what Tennessee did against Texas and have a shot
- 15:21Speaker 2: in the fourth quarter, right? Like to prove that, hey,
- 15:24Speaker 2: this team is better. then pass Nebraska teams, pass Matt
- 15:27Speaker 2: Rule teams. I'm not asking for them to win outright
- 15:30Speaker 2: in this game, but give yourself a chance in the
- 15:32Speaker 2: fourth quarter where you leave the game feeling like, hey,
- 15:34Speaker 2: we just went toe-to-toe with one of the better teams
- 15:37Speaker 2: in the Big Ten. We're going to win a lot
- 15:38Speaker 2: of football games this year doing that, and you leave
- 15:40Speaker 2: the game at 5-1. I'd feel great about Nebraska this
- 15:44Speaker 2: season if they're in this game in the fourth quarter.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Show up and get blown out at home.
- 15:49Speaker 2: By Kurt Cignetti in Indiana, which, by the way, is
- 15:51Speaker 2: very possible with Cignetti and this Indiana team. Do that,
- 15:55Speaker 2: and then people are going to go right back to saying,
- 15:57Speaker 2: same old Huskers.
- 15:57Speaker 3: We've seen for the last 10 to 15 years.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Can't wait to see the atmosphere, too. It's going to
- 16:01Speaker 1: be fun.
- 16:01Speaker 3: It's going to be really cool. Speaking of atmosphere.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Number one game of the college football weekend. Number two,
- 16:07Speaker 2: Georgia Bulldogs on the road, taking on the Crimson Tide
- 16:10Speaker 2: of Alabama, number six. Alabama, a slight favorite of this one,
- 16:14Speaker 2: one and a half points, 730 Eastern, 630 Central.
- 16:18Speaker 3: On ABC.
- 16:19Speaker 2: I watched the Saban documentary. He admitted he has no
- 16:21Speaker 2: idea what roll tide means. He has no idea what
- 16:24Speaker 2: it comes from. He thinks it's something about waves crashing
- 16:26Speaker 2: in and rolling, but he doesn't really know.
- 16:29Speaker 3: Alabama fans know what it means.
- 16:31Speaker 2: They're going to be saying roll tide a lot leading
- 16:32Speaker 2: up to this one, even though it's going to be
- 16:34Speaker 2: rainy and storms coming through in the morning. Great atmosphere
- 16:37Speaker 2: for this one. Hutton, Kirby Smart is 2-7 against Alabama.
- 16:43Speaker 2: He is 112-9 against everybody else.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Not named Alabama. How about that?
- 16:48Speaker 2: 2-7 versus 112-9. Georgia has been a methodical machine so
- 16:54Speaker 2: far this year. They're averaging winning in SEC games 41-15
- 16:58Speaker 2: so far. Speaking of machines, Keelan Russell, he's on pace
- 17:03Speaker 2: for 4,000 yards passing and 800 yards rushing this season.
- 17:08Speaker 2: That's like the 40-40 or 50-50 baseball version of hitting
- 17:12Speaker 2: 40 home runs and stealing 40 bases. 4,000 passing yards,
- 17:15Speaker 2: 800 yards rushing. He's right around the pace to do
- 17:18Speaker 2: that this year. I don't think he's going to get
- 17:20Speaker 2: to 4,000 yards passing, but he is a terrific player.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Great offense for Alabama. I think the best in the
- 17:26Speaker 2: SEC right now, Hutton. What a game we have on
- 17:28Speaker 2: Saturday night.
- 17:29Speaker 1: These games come down to the moments. Keelan Russell's right
- 17:31Speaker 1: there with the Heisman if he hits the moment. Stockton, though,
- 17:34Speaker 1: is the quarterback I'm taking to win the moment and
- 17:37Speaker 1: make the moment. I took Georgia in my pick earlier
- 17:42Speaker 1: this week. uh, for the bundle and I'm sticking with
- 17:45Speaker 1: it right there. Plus one and a half.
- 17:46Speaker 3: I love it.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Hunting top 10 games of the college football weekend. Let's
- 17:51Speaker 2: review 10 through one quickly. Game number 10, South Carolina
- 17:56Speaker 2: at number 18, Florida, 1145 central time on sec network.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Number nine, staying in the sec number nine, old miss
- 18:02Speaker 2: at Vanderbilt game. Number eight, let's go to the big
- 18:05Speaker 2: 10 number 20, Iowa going to Seattle, to take on
- 18:08Speaker 2: the Washington Huskies, number seven. Number 19, USC on the
- 18:11Speaker 2: road in the whiteout game against Penn State. Back to
- 18:15Speaker 2: the SEC, Texas A & M at number 14, Missouri.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Noon Eastern time on ABC, game number five is number one,
- 18:21Speaker 2: Texas Longhorns taking on Oklahoma, number four. Number 10, LSU
- 18:26Speaker 2: on the road to face Kentucky. Game number three, back
- 18:29Speaker 2: to the Big Ten, number 21, UCLA at number 13, Oregon.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Number two game of the week is number seven, Indiana
- 18:35Speaker 2: in the big noon kickoff game on Fox. in Lincoln
- 18:38Speaker 2: to take on Nebraska. And number one game of the week,
- 18:40Speaker 2: it's a no-doubter, number two Georgia at number six Alabama
- 18:44Speaker 2: in Tuscaloosa.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Hutton, I cannot wait.
- 18:47Speaker 2: We have delayed our trip to the beach because of
- 18:49Speaker 2: the storm coming to the Gulf. I will not leave
- 18:52Speaker 2: until early, early Sunday morning. So I, Chad Withrow, will
- 18:55Speaker 2: finally have a day, first time since week one, to
- 18:59Speaker 2: plant myself On the couch, which is close to me
- 19:03Speaker 2: right now, and watch college football start to finish on
- 19:06Speaker 2: a Saturday.
- 19:06Speaker 3: I am pumped. Cannot wait.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Chad will have two Father's Day this year, not just one.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Yes.
- 19:10Speaker 1: I love it.
- 19:11Speaker 2: I will be smoking no meat. I will be doing
- 19:14Speaker 2: no work. I will be watching football. Food will be
- 19:16Speaker 2: delivered to me. And this is going to be a
- 19:19Speaker 2: glorious Saturday. No softball tournaments. Well, Evie does have a
- 19:22Speaker 2: practice in the morning, but we'll figure that out. But
- 19:24Speaker 2: I will be there for a morning with the pregame
- 19:26Speaker 2: shows through all the games.
- 19:28Speaker 3: I cannot wait for this Saturday.
- 19:29Speaker 1: We'll learn there. There's Chad Withers. Well done, Chad. The
- 19:32Speaker 1: top 10 games of the college football weekend. Coming up
- 19:35Speaker 1: over the next 35 minutes, Major League Baseball and a
- 19:37Speaker 1: possible schedule change. They're discussing something there. The SEC. We're
- 19:40Speaker 1: going to give our SEC picks. Profit Like It's Hot
- 19:43Speaker 1: and more all straight ahead here on Hunting With Row.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Good morning to you. Hunting With Row presented by Hard
- 19:47Speaker 1: Rock Bed. If you need a kick in the butt
- 19:50Speaker 1: this morning to get going, Chad's got it right in
- 19:52Speaker 1: front of him. Crockett Coffee. Crockett Coffee started by Clay Travis,
- 19:55Speaker 1: Buck Sexton, and Buck's brother Mason. Named after David Crockett. Hunter, storyteller, patriot,
- 19:59Speaker 1: backwoods legend. The logo, Davey is surfing on the backs
- 20:02Speaker 1: of crocodiles. That tells you everything about the attitude here. 100%
- 20:04Speaker 1: pure Arabica, high altitude beans, small batch roasted right here
- 20:08Speaker 1: in America. Tennessee, the heart of the country. It ships
- 20:11Speaker 1: to you fresh roasted. It's not sitting on a warehouse
- 20:13Speaker 1: shelf for six months. And you've got all of the
- 20:15Speaker 1: different blends here. You've got the light, medium, dark, decaf, organic,
- 20:20Speaker 1: even a mushroom blend, whole bean ground, K-cups, however you
- 20:23Speaker 1: make it in the morning, Chad. You take King Mountain.
- 20:26Speaker 2: King Mountain, every time, the dark roast, big fan of that.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Big fan of how you can set up a subscription
- 20:31Speaker 2: and it shows up on your schedule. Changed or canceled
- 20:33Speaker 2: at any time you want, as the free market intended.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Free shipping on orders of $ 59 or more, and there's
- 20:37Speaker 2: a discount for veterans. and Crockett partners with Tunnel to
- 20:40Speaker 2: Towers building mortgage-free homes for the families of fallen service
- 20:43Speaker 2: members and for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Good coffee, made in America, doing some good. CrockettCoffee.com.
- 20:50Speaker 2: That's Crockett, C-R-O-C-K-E-T-T-Coffee.com. I've got my cup here. I'm excited
- 20:57Speaker 2: for the rest of the show, for the rest of
- 20:59Speaker 2: the day. Thanks for Crockett Coffee.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Got my water. I need to get some Crockett Coffee.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I've got to get the K-Cups going. Do you have
- 21:05Speaker 1: the K-Cups or do you have just the grounds?
- 21:08Speaker 2: I have K-cups and I have grounds being delivered because
- 21:12Speaker 2: at my current consumption rate, I'm going to need pots,
- 21:15Speaker 2: not cups of coffee. So yes, pots of coffee are
- 21:20Speaker 2: being delivered and I set it up with a subscription.
- 21:22Speaker 3: So it's perfect.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Chad, Major League Baseball proposing a major structural change starting
- 21:31Speaker 1: to the 2029 season. No coincidence that they're putting this
- 21:33Speaker 1: out there right before a labor discussion, right?
- 21:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:36Speaker 1: They're shrinking the regular season to 154 games, and they
- 21:41Speaker 1: have an expanding of the division series to a best-of-seven format.
- 21:45Speaker 1: So you have the shorter season, weekly off days, no
- 21:49Speaker 1: salary reductions, expanded division series, postseason off days, split doubleheaders.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Each team's going to play four split doubleheaders against division opponents.
- 21:59Speaker 1: They're making it to where it appears, as a shorter season...
- 22:03Speaker 1: Less games, same money, trying their best. I like the
- 22:07Speaker 1: schedule reduction, and I like the seven-game series. I don't
- 22:11Speaker 1: love the schedule reduction. I kind of like the 162,
- 22:14Speaker 1: but I don't hate it either.
- 22:16Speaker 2: And I think the tradeoff of getting the different playoff
- 22:19Speaker 2: structure is worth it. So I don't have any big
- 22:22Speaker 2: objections to this. This is one of the rare things
- 22:24Speaker 2: where they're changing fundamentally something about the sport and the
- 22:28Speaker 2: schedule system that I don't have a strong opinion towards,
- 22:31Speaker 2: other than to say I think it's fine.
- 22:33Speaker 3: And this is, yes, this is.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Part of the negotiation with the Players Association to avoid
- 22:38Speaker 2: a lockout next year. This would go into effect, as
- 22:41Speaker 2: you mentioned, in 2029. 154-game regular season. Division Series best-of-seven format.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Here's the one part of this that I would change,
- 22:50Speaker 2: and this was my big complaint going with the Braves
- 22:53Speaker 2: as a division champ hosting the Phillies.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Five-game series.
- 22:57Speaker 2: If they make this, and it doesn't specify what that
- 23:00Speaker 2: wild card would be, but it doesn't specify a change.
- 23:02Speaker 2: which makes me think they're still thinking three-game series. Start
- 23:06Speaker 2: that wildcard round. I prefer that all division champs advance
- 23:09Speaker 2: a division series regardless, but if you're going to keep
- 23:12Speaker 2: that format where the third-place division champ has to play
- 23:15Speaker 2: a wildcard round, make that a best-of-five series. That would
- 23:18Speaker 2: be my one ask, especially when you shorten the regular season.
- 23:22Speaker 2: You can do it from a scheduling perspective. I know
- 23:24Speaker 2: they're adding best-of-seven with the other series, the division series too,
- 23:28Speaker 2: but I would like to make that wildcard round a
- 23:31Speaker 2: best-of-five series. I just don't feel like a schedule that
- 23:37Speaker 2: has 162 or 154 games warrants playing a situation where
- 23:41Speaker 2: you could be done in two days. If you survived
- 23:44Speaker 2: that entire season and made the playoffs, that's a big accomplishment.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Your season should be decided in at least a best-of-five series.
- 23:51Speaker 2: That's my personal take on it. I hope they move that.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Here's something I love about it, Hunt, and I wish
- 23:55Speaker 2: more sports would do. The highest seed can pick their opponent.
- 24:00Speaker 2: So if you are that division champion playing in the wildcard,
- 24:03Speaker 2: you get to decide from the wildcard teams who you play.
- 24:06Speaker 2: It's not going to be a number structure. So you
- 24:09Speaker 2: can pick based on matchup. You can pick based on
- 24:11Speaker 2: who you perform well. in the regular season. It adds
- 24:14Speaker 2: a bulletin board material type thing.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Yes, it does.
- 24:16Speaker 2: This is like intentionally walking someone to get someone else,
- 24:19Speaker 2: and the batter who's on deck is thinking, oh, okay,
- 24:21Speaker 2: I see you. You want to play us in the
- 24:23Speaker 2: first round, huh? Well, we're going to show you. I
- 24:25Speaker 2: love it. I wish the NBA would do this if
- 24:28Speaker 2: you're the number one seed. You get to pick amongst
- 24:30Speaker 2: the bottom seeds who you get to play. You don't
- 24:32Speaker 2: have to automatically play the eight seed or whoever it is.
- 24:35Speaker 2: I think this is something that could be used in
- 24:37Speaker 2: all sports.
- 24:37Speaker 1: The NBA, I think would be more of a bulletin
- 24:40Speaker 1: board material because in my mind, just initially thinking about it,
- 24:43Speaker 1: I'm see if you agree in major league baseball or
- 24:45Speaker 1: in baseball in general, I would just be picking based
- 24:47Speaker 1: on the pitching situation coming into the, to the, to
- 24:50Speaker 1: the series, or if you're for, for, to pick your
- 24:52Speaker 1: wildcard opponent, I'm just going based on pitching matchup. That's,
- 24:56Speaker 1: that's solely what I'm basing that on. I've just initial
- 24:58Speaker 1: thought and NBA, it's like, who do you want to
- 25:01Speaker 1: avoid team to team? Do you agree with that?
- 25:05Speaker 2: Oh, look, I think whatever the reason is, it just
- 25:07Speaker 2: makes for a compelling celebration.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Oh, it's great. I like the idea.
- 25:10Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know how you decide it. Every
- 25:12Speaker 2: team would have a different reason as to why they
- 25:15Speaker 2: pick a team. It gets based on matchup or history
- 25:18Speaker 2: or whatever it is. Or you just don't want to
- 25:20Speaker 2: play a division opponent. Would the Braves have decided to
- 25:23Speaker 2: play the Phillies or the Padres.
- 25:26Speaker 3: In the first round? Or the Cubs in the first round?
- 25:30Speaker 3: If you get your pick.
- 25:31Speaker 2: As that division champion, I think they'd probably play the
- 25:34Speaker 2: Cubs if they had their pick of three.
- 25:35Speaker 3: They never beat the Padres.
- 25:37Speaker 2: They just faced off against the Phillies in an important
- 25:40Speaker 2: series to win the division. I think they'd probably pick
- 25:43Speaker 2: the Chicago Cubs to play. But having that ability to
- 25:46Speaker 2: pick would be awesome across all sports. Imagine the college
- 25:49Speaker 2: football playoff with those top four seeds in order after
- 25:52Speaker 2: the first round is decided.
- 25:53Speaker 3: You get to pick.
- 25:54Speaker 2: It's not just highest seed goes here and this winner
- 25:57Speaker 2: goes there or you reshuffle the deck based on seed.
- 26:00Speaker 2: You could go and say, well, I want that group
- 26:02Speaker 2: of five team or whoever it is, right? I definitely
- 26:05Speaker 2: want them if they won regardless of what the number
- 26:08Speaker 2: next to them shows. Let's do this in all sports.
- 26:11Speaker 2: I think that's one area where Major League Baseball crushed
- 26:14Speaker 2: it and truly got it right with this format. I
- 26:17Speaker 2: don't love the 154 games, but it's also fine with
- 26:20Speaker 2: me because you get a better playoff format.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think instead of expanding the early series
- 26:27Speaker 1: to where it's a three, I think what they're doing
- 26:29Speaker 1: is just giving more off days during the season and
- 26:32Speaker 1: during the postseason, like adding rest days before non-guaranteed games.
- 26:35Speaker 1: So if game's five, six, and seven, they're adding rest
- 26:39Speaker 1: days before. And during the season, it sounds like they're
- 26:42Speaker 1: guaranteeing most weeks typically a Monday day off, a scheduled
- 26:47Speaker 1: day off per week, except for holidays or special events.
- 26:50Speaker 2: It would be a mandatory day off each week for
- 26:53Speaker 2: every team. That's how they'd work it in the schedule,
- 26:55Speaker 2: with those eight less games. So you wouldn't have the
- 26:58Speaker 2: weeks where you have no game off. Every week, one day,
- 27:02Speaker 2: you'd be off.
- 27:03Speaker 1: What do they mean by split doubleheaders? Each team will
- 27:06Speaker 1: play four split doubleheaders? It's like a morning night. Or, like,
- 27:13Speaker 1: it's not back-to-back doubleheaders? Oh, to save a day?
- 27:16Speaker 2: Yeah, so, like, you'd play, like, an 11 a.m. game
- 27:18Speaker 2: followed by a 7 p.m.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Game. Okay, yeah.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Instead of going true doubleheader back-to-back.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Okay, I got you. Right now, the All-Star game is
- 27:27Speaker 1: scheduled for Wrigley Field next season. Hopefully, we'd make it there.
- 27:32Speaker 1: I'm very pessimistic about actually having much of a season
- 27:35Speaker 1: next year based on what we're hearing.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Well.
- 27:38Speaker 2: And if we don't have a season next year, let's
- 27:40Speaker 2: make the 2028 season the Wrigley Field season.
- 27:43Speaker 3: I hope so.
- 27:44Speaker 2: I just want to see an all-star game at Wrigley Field.
- 27:46Speaker 2: So let's do it there the next year, if not.
- 27:48Speaker 1: July 12th and 13th. Let's go through the SEC schedule
- 27:52Speaker 1: for tomorrow, shall we? We discussed that. We just pick
- 27:54Speaker 1: our game. Of course, we're going to preview Georgia and
- 27:56Speaker 1: Alabama much more. Straight ahead here on Hunting with Roe.
- 28:00Speaker 1: XXXY Athletics, founded by Jennifer Say, former national champion gymnast,
- 28:04Speaker 1: former Levi's brand president. She walked away from a corporate
- 28:07Speaker 1: job rather than to say something she didn't believe and
- 28:09Speaker 1: started XXXY Athletics instead. The mission, in their words, power
- 28:15Speaker 1: female athletes to take a stand for fair competition. And
- 28:17Speaker 1: they call it the T that launched a movement. This
- 28:19Speaker 1: is real athletic apparel. It's the official place to get
- 28:22Speaker 1: Nashville Balls gear, Chad.
- 28:24Speaker 2: And it's the crew making the official gear. Also, T's
- 28:27Speaker 2: trucker hats out now. If you want the Nashville Balls

- 28:37Speaker 3: XXXYAthletics.com. That's XX-XYAthletics.com.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Chad, do you want to start with the game, Georgia
- 28:46Speaker 1: and Alabama, or do you want to start just going
- 28:47Speaker 1: through our picks for the SEC?
- 28:50Speaker 3: Dealer's choice. However you want to lay it out, we'll discuss.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Let's start with the game.
- 28:55Speaker 3: Okay.
- 28:56Speaker 1: I'm thinking about the impact of this matchup. And, you know,
- 29:00Speaker 1: weather a play factor, wind plays a factor, all that.
- 29:03Speaker 1: But I can't get away from the idea that Gunnar
- 29:06Speaker 1: Stockton doesn't play well. Like in the big, the game
- 29:09Speaker 1: comes down to five, six big, big moments, big plays.
- 29:13Speaker 1: And while we've seen in the past, one team get
- 29:17Speaker 1: up big, one team come back. This just has an
- 29:22Speaker 1: impact moment for the entire college football season across the
- 29:24Speaker 1: nation to me. We learn a lot about both teams,
- 29:28Speaker 1: but we learn a lot about Keelan Russell, because I
- 29:32Speaker 1: have full confidence that the veteran quarterback shows up and
- 29:34Speaker 1: plays well.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Do you? I do not.
- 29:38Speaker 2: I do not have full confidence in Alabama. Georgia is
- 29:41Speaker 2: my preseason pick to win the SEC. I think it's
- 29:43Speaker 2: going to be a great football game, but I like
- 29:46Speaker 2: Georgia to go in and win on the money line
- 29:48Speaker 2: in this game. And if I'm betting, I'm going under.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I think the under and I think Georgia money line
- 29:54Speaker 2: would be my play in this game.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Let me We'll see where the over-under is right now
- 29:58Speaker 1: in total points.
- 29:59Speaker 3: 51.5 is what I'm seeing. Okay.
- 30:02Speaker 1: So, again, they're thinking that Ray doesn't play a huge
- 30:05Speaker 1: factor in that at all.
- 30:08Speaker 2: And I think defense plays a huge factor in this
- 30:10Speaker 2: game for Georgia that will slow down Alabama somewhat. They're
- 30:14Speaker 2: going to get theirs at some point, but I think
- 30:16Speaker 2: the under barely hits, but I like Georgia on the
- 30:18Speaker 2: money line.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Do you think that Bama has a Mississippi State-type moment?
- 30:23Speaker 1: Not necessarily this game, but they have a game where–
- 30:26Speaker 1: the quarterback doesn't play great and has a turnover fest?
- 30:31Speaker 3: Against their defense, you're saying?
- 30:32Speaker 1: Yes.
- 30:33Speaker 2: I don't think so with Gunnar Stockton. That moment's not
- 30:36Speaker 2: happening in this game. The more likely moment would be
- 30:39Speaker 2: the following week when they're playing a pair of freshman
- 30:41Speaker 2: quarterbacks in Knoxville, that that moment could happen on the
- 30:45Speaker 2: opposite side for Tennessee. But I don't think Gunnar Stockton,
- 30:47Speaker 2: with all that experience, I don't think it's happening this week.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm going to say just from Russell's perspective, too. No.
- 30:54Speaker 2: No.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Yeah, okay.
- 30:56Speaker 3: I think he's fine.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Let's look at the pack of SEC matchups across the board.
- 31:01Speaker 1: You really like Texas A & M.
- 31:04Speaker 2: I do. Texas A & M at Missouri. I like
- 31:06Speaker 2: Texas A & M Moneyline to make it happen. So
- 31:09Speaker 2: give me the Aggies to go into Columbia. They're a
- 31:12Speaker 2: three-and-a-half-point underdog, but I think they found a little bit
- 31:14Speaker 2: of themselves against Arkansas. I know Arkansas is pretty bad,
- 31:19Speaker 2: and they played them at home, but 31-7 win. Got
- 31:22Speaker 2: them going enough. Got their confidence up a bit. I
- 31:24Speaker 2: like them to go on the road. And that SEC
- 31:26Speaker 2: media darling syndrome strikes again where Missouri loses a home
- 31:29Speaker 2: game after the big win over Florida.
- 31:31Speaker 1: A week ago. I trust A & M more than
- 31:36Speaker 1: I should, and I don't like Missouri, and I should
- 31:39Speaker 1: like them more, I think is my problem here. Maybe
- 31:43Speaker 1: it is the home field that really bugs me the
- 31:45Speaker 1: most here, and I like Missouri more on the road. But, Chad,
- 31:48Speaker 1: I'm with you. I just took the points in this
- 31:50Speaker 1: with A & M because I need them to prove
- 31:54Speaker 1: it again to me. But I overvalued them preseason, and
- 31:57Speaker 1: I think they're undervalued right now on the board. I
- 32:00Speaker 1: took the points here, and it's just three and a half.
- 32:03Speaker 1: And I think that tells you something about both A &
- 32:05Speaker 1: M and Missouri and the fact that they're coming off
- 32:08Speaker 1: the big win that they had. Florida, to me, the
- 32:11Speaker 1: fact that they're coming off a loss, South Carolina, the
- 32:13Speaker 1: way they've dropped these games, this is the death march
- 32:16Speaker 1: more than it is the rebound. And I really like
- 32:18Speaker 1: Shane Beamer. The schedule here does not work out. If
- 32:22Speaker 1: Florida had won last week and South Carolina wants to
- 32:25Speaker 1: come in and play the big upset, that's fine. But
- 32:27Speaker 1: I think the fact that they're coming off of the loss,
- 32:30Speaker 1: they're looking to make a statement.
- 32:33Speaker 2: I'm fading you on a number of picks here this week, Hudson,
- 32:35Speaker 2: in the SEC. I think South Carolina covers the 11.5
- 32:39Speaker 2: or 12 points. It's been going kind of back and
- 32:41Speaker 2: forth on this. Dylan Stewart returning, I think he's going
- 32:44Speaker 2: to have a big game. I do, even with all
- 32:46Speaker 2: the stuff going on. I think he's going to play
- 32:48Speaker 2: well off the edge. I like South Carolina's running game
- 32:51Speaker 2: to control the clock a little bit with Lenora Sellers
- 32:55Speaker 2: running it also. I think Florida wins. I think it's
- 32:57Speaker 2: a very close game. And Florida squeaks one out of
- 33:00Speaker 2: this one.
- 33:01Speaker 1: I don't know. Dylan Stewart returning is a sign of
- 33:03Speaker 1: desperation to me. They've got to have him. They have
- 33:05Speaker 1: to have all of the elite players on the field.
- 33:08Speaker 1: And I think if this were any other situation, maybe
- 33:11Speaker 1: he waits another game based on the way Beamer was
- 33:13Speaker 1: reacting yesterday. a week ago compared to now. And he's
- 33:17Speaker 1: not pointing to great practices anymore, but the fact that
- 33:19Speaker 1: he was means he's out of all the accolades he
- 33:21Speaker 1: can throw out there to try to keep his team together.
- 33:23Speaker 1: His team gets down, and I don't think they rebound
- 33:25Speaker 1: very well, unfortunately. Texas, Oklahoma. Oklahoma, to me, malaise. I
- 33:34Speaker 1: would say when it comes to the Sooners, my view
- 33:37Speaker 1: on them is very lethargic, if that makes sense. Good,
- 33:40Speaker 1: not great. Give me Texas to cover. It's my lock
- 33:43Speaker 1: of the week. 7.5 is where it dropped. You had
- 33:46Speaker 1: it at 8.5. We're allowing the 7.5, though, when it
- 33:49Speaker 1: comes to your pick, though, on the bundle. If they
- 33:53Speaker 1: win by 8, we're counting it. If Texas wins by 8,
- 33:55Speaker 1: we're counting it. This is my leg of the parlay
- 33:57Speaker 1: for going for the bundle this week. We're both aligned here, Texas.
- 34:01Speaker 1: I think Texas wins by 10-plus points in this game.
- 34:03Speaker 1: I think it's going to be very ugly.
- 34:05Speaker 2: I think the defenses both will look good in this game,
- 34:07Speaker 2: but I like Texas to win by double digits.
- 34:10Speaker 1: There's a... There's a game coming up that Vanderbilt wins.
- 34:16Speaker 1: I really wanted to say it's this week. I don't
- 34:18Speaker 1: feel that way, though. I do think they cover this game, though,
- 34:22Speaker 1: against Ole Miss.
- 34:23Speaker 2: I would like to cover, too. Could be rainy conditions
- 34:26Speaker 2: during that game also in Nashville. That might help Vanderbilt
- 34:29Speaker 2: a little bit in this one. Ole Miss is coming
- 34:31Speaker 2: off a bye week after that loss to Florida. They've
- 34:34Speaker 2: had two weeks to get ready for this one. I
- 34:36Speaker 2: like the Rebels. I'm going to say Vandy covers. but
- 34:42Speaker 2: I don't love that pick. If I'm doing a confidence
- 34:46Speaker 2: meter of picks, I'm not fully confident that they cover
- 34:49Speaker 2: in this game, but I will take Vandy to cover
- 34:51Speaker 2: the 9.5 or 8.5 as it stands.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Right now, but Ole Miss is going to win this game.
- 34:56Speaker 1: I think offensively Tennessee plays it very conservative with the quarterback.
- 35:01Speaker 1: I think they cover late, though, against Arkansas down at Fayetteville.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Yeah, it's been a house of horrors for Tennessee.
- 35:08Speaker 2: They've found weird ways to lose, including 20-24, where they
- 35:11Speaker 2: were in complete control of that game and lost it
- 35:13Speaker 2: late against Arkansas with Nico and that team that eventually
- 35:16Speaker 2: went on to the college football playoff. And that was
- 35:18Speaker 2: one of their two losses was at Arkansas. This Arkansas team,
- 35:23Speaker 2: outside of Chris Marshall, who's a very good receiver and
- 35:25Speaker 2: is going to be a handful for Tennessee and everyone else,
- 35:28Speaker 2: that's all they have right now.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Defense, not good.
- 35:32Speaker 2: They can't run the ball. Casey Jackson has not been
- 35:36Speaker 2: a great passer. He's not really been electric running it
- 35:39Speaker 2: either when he does that. I think Tennessee is going
- 35:43Speaker 2: to take a business-like, methodical approach in this game. It's
- 35:47Speaker 2: going to be ugly. It's going to be slow at times.
- 35:49Speaker 2: But I think the Vols cover that 13.5 on the
- 35:52Speaker 2: road and handle business.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Final game, LSU at Kentucky. I stayed away from the
- 35:56Speaker 1: line because I want to know what Vegas knows. It
- 35:58Speaker 1: hasn't moved all week. 8.5 is the spread on the
- 36:00Speaker 1: road for the Tigers. If Kiffin loses this game, Chad...
- 36:03Speaker 1: He deserves the heat because this is one you're supposed
- 36:07Speaker 1: to win for LSU. Kentucky ends up being your example
- 36:10Speaker 1: of Oklahoma from last year.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Could be. I mean, you're right.
- 36:15Speaker 2: With Mississippi State looking the way they did against Alabama,
- 36:17Speaker 2: maybe it is Kentucky that's the surprise team in the
- 36:19Speaker 2: college football playoff mix. I think Kentucky covers. I think
- 36:23Speaker 2: they're going to play well at home. They felt like
- 36:25Speaker 2: they were ready against Alabama. They were for a half,
- 36:28Speaker 2: and they got blown out in the second half. This
- 36:30Speaker 2: is their arrival in a big home game in a
- 36:33Speaker 2: big-time atmosphere. I think LSU wins a close one, and
- 36:37Speaker 2: I think that Lane Kiffin will be spared all the
- 36:40Speaker 2: shade and the heat that he's going to be receiving
- 36:42Speaker 2: after losing that game, but Kentucky covers the 8.5 in
- 36:46Speaker 2: this one.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Maybe weather a factor there, as Chad mentioned earlier, with
- 36:49Speaker 1: the wind and other factors at Kroger Field. Those are
- 36:53Speaker 1: your SEC matchups for Week 7. Coming up, prop it
- 36:56Speaker 1: like it's hot. Some props across... the NFL, and much more.
- 37:01Speaker 1: We're confident going into the weekend here on Hunting With Row.
- 37:04Speaker 3: This year, the party's getting even bigger.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Hey, there's Jay Boyd.
- 37:07Speaker 3: They know me. This party, everybody's somebody. And Hard Rock
- 37:11Speaker 3: Bet has something for everyone. Plus, new customers bet $ 5
- 37:15Speaker 3: and get up to $ 500 in no sweat bets.
- 37:19Speaker 1: I love this new promo for new customers. Bet $ 5,
- 37:22Speaker 1: get up to $ 500 in no sweat bets right now.
- 37:26Speaker 1: You just got to use the website. Hardrock.bet.clay. That's Hardrock.bet.clay. Chad,
- 37:32Speaker 1: it is time for Profit Like It's Hot. And we've
- 37:36Speaker 1: got our props of the week right here, right now. Mine,
- 37:40Speaker 1: I'm going NFL. We're about to throw those up there.
- 37:43Speaker 1: And I'll run through these and my thought process behind it.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Trevor Lawrence, over one and a half passing touchdowns. This
- 37:50Speaker 1: guy has been dealing throughout the season. And he's going
- 37:56Speaker 1: against the secondary. that has not been great in giving
- 38:00Speaker 1: up passing touchdowns, especially in the red zone. I like
- 38:02Speaker 1: Trevor Lawrence to continue that success. Give me Nico Collins.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Anytime touchdown against the Titans. It's not like they're 0-4, yes.
- 38:11Speaker 3: But C.J.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Stroud has been throwing for big yardage. I just I
- 38:16Speaker 1: look at the Titans they've only allowed four passing touchdowns
- 38:19Speaker 1: this season but I think the Texans come in looking
- 38:21Speaker 1: to get right to do that they've got to go
- 38:24Speaker 1: through their top receiver give me Nico Collins anytime touchdown
- 38:26Speaker 1: plus 130 and Christian McCaffrey over 34 and a half
- 38:30Speaker 1: passing yards out of the backfield against Seattle I think
- 38:32Speaker 1: Seattle is going to sell out to stop the run
- 38:34Speaker 1: McCaffrey usually gets his anyway his anytime touchdown odds are
- 38:38Speaker 1: always always strong I think that utilizes him more out
- 38:42Speaker 1: of the backfield here against the Seattle defense. I think
- 38:47Speaker 1: he gets his on the edge, picks up some big
- 38:49Speaker 1: first downs for the unbeaten 49ers.
- 38:52Speaker 3: I like it, Hutton. I'm going to go to the
- 38:56Speaker 3: NFL with my props also as we look at mine.
- 38:59Speaker 2: I'm going to go Carnell Tate. Got it going a
- 39:02Speaker 2: little bit with Cam Ward last week. He's going to
- 39:05Speaker 2: get in the end zone in this game. I'm taking
- 39:07Speaker 2: the Titans to win on the money line over a
- 39:10Speaker 2: touchdown underdog. It is now or never for the Tennessee Titans.
- 39:14Speaker 2: It is put up or shut the hell up for good.
- 39:17Speaker 2: I would be fine with them never doing a press
- 39:19Speaker 2: conference if it wasn't against NFL rules after they lose
- 39:21Speaker 2: this game.
- 39:22Speaker 3: They're not losing this game. They're at home.
- 39:24Speaker 2: They're playing another 0-4 team. They are finally going to
- 39:27Speaker 2: show some of the improvement they keep talking about.
- 39:30Speaker 1: About.
- 39:30Speaker 2: I think they win an ugly game against the Houston Texans.
- 39:34Speaker 2: To do that, Carnell Tate's going to need to be big.
- 39:36Speaker 2: He had a good game against Baltimore, except for the fumble.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Give me Carnell Tate any time touchdown at plus 375.
- 39:42Speaker 3: And Drake London. Greatest show on turf.
- 39:47Speaker 2: There's a new one, the Atlanta Falcons with Michael Penix Jr.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Give me over 82.5 receiving yards at minus 115. Those
- 39:54Speaker 2: are my props for the week, Hutton. I like the Falcons' offense.
- 39:57Speaker 2: I like the Titans to get off the schneid first
- 40:00Speaker 2: before the Houston Texans and win on Sunday.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Chad, I have jotted these down. I'm going to play
- 40:04Speaker 1: these like they've already been played, just for you.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Will you play Titans' money line the way I did?
- 40:09Speaker 2: Not the props, but will you play Titans' money line?
- 40:13Speaker 1: You know what? I'll follow you on that just because
- 40:17Speaker 1: of the vibes here.
- 40:18Speaker 3: I don't want charity. If you don't buy into it
- 40:21Speaker 3: or don't believe it, you don't have to play it.
- 40:22Speaker 3: You followed me in the same respect. I don't want
- 40:25Speaker 3: to force you to do it.
- 40:25Speaker 1: I'm going to roll with you on this. Roll with us.
- 40:28Speaker 1: We ask everybody to roll with us. I'll do the same.
- 40:30Speaker 1: I'll follow you on that. So Titans Moneyline. Writing that down. So, Chad,
- 40:37Speaker 1: here's the deal with the Titans. Look, they're already preaching
- 40:41Speaker 1: the whole, like, we're getting better game by game. I
- 40:44Speaker 1: want consistency, all right? I want to see Cam Ward
- 40:48Speaker 1: start to show consistency that's under center, behind center. Coming
- 40:53Speaker 1: off of a performance which was his best of the year,
- 40:56Speaker 1: it was a loss, yes. But now, okay, if this
- 41:00Speaker 1: is what it is, if this is what it's going
- 41:01Speaker 1: to be, if we're going to see him continue to
- 41:05Speaker 1: start games, Let's start showing improvement instead of taking one
- 41:09Speaker 1: step forward and, at worst, not taking another step forward
- 41:12Speaker 1: but staying exactly where you are. No neutral games here.
- 41:17Speaker 1: No steps back, of course. But I want to see
- 41:20Speaker 1: steps forward game by game. It's October. Time to take
- 41:23Speaker 1: those steps to show true improvement and the fact that
- 41:27Speaker 1: you're headed from good to great. Because when they drafted him,
- 41:30Speaker 1: that's exactly what they say he's going to be, an
- 41:32Speaker 1: elite quarterback. He's number one overall. There's a standard that
- 41:35Speaker 1: comes with that, like it or not. And it's time
- 41:39Speaker 1: to show that he's taking over not just the position,
- 41:42Speaker 1: but the team. Taking the ball and knowing you're going
- 41:45Speaker 1: to go get points when you need them. That separates
- 41:49Speaker 1: the good from great quarterbacks. The average from just a
- 41:51Speaker 1: guy to the top of the line elite style that
- 41:56Speaker 1: it takes to manage a team from the quarterback position.
- 41:59Speaker 1: He's nowhere close to being that. But I need to
- 42:01Speaker 1: show signs that he's at least improving from where he's been.
- 42:07Speaker 3: Hutton, I'm 100% with you on this.
- 42:09Speaker 2: It is time to stop talking about progression and improvement
- 42:13Speaker 2: and show it.
- 42:13Speaker 3: And how do you show improvement in the NFL? It's
- 42:16Speaker 3: not losing close. No. It's not making the drastic mistake
- 42:22Speaker 3: at the end of the game and not losing it
- 42:24Speaker 3: for your team. It's not just when you don't do that.
- 42:26Speaker 2: It's not because you scored one touchdown in the second
- 42:30Speaker 2: half against Baltimore after they pulled their quarterback down. in
- 42:34Speaker 2: the game because, yes, he hurt his ankle, but also
- 42:36Speaker 2: he could have played if it were the Buffalo Bills
- 42:38Speaker 2: or any legitimate NFL team. They pulled him because they
- 42:41Speaker 2: knew they were going to win, even without Lamar Jackson
- 42:43Speaker 2: in that game.
- 42:44Speaker 3: It is embarrassing.
- 42:46Speaker 2: It is not where anyone wants to be as an
- 42:48Speaker 2: NFL team. The coaches should be embarrassed. The players should
- 42:51Speaker 2: be embarrassed. How do you respond to embarrassment? How do
- 42:53Speaker 2: you respond when your manhood is challenged? How do you
- 42:56Speaker 2: respond when everyone around the league is laughing at you
- 42:59Speaker 2: At 0-4.
- 43:00Speaker 3: Well, you respond by winning a football game.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Right.
- 43:03Speaker 3: And this is an eminently winnable football game for the
- 43:05Speaker 3: Tennessee Titans. The Texans have a whole batch of issues, too.
- 43:08Speaker 2: They are on the road. They are 0-4. They have
- 43:11Speaker 2: their head coach assuming play-calling duties on defense.
- 43:14Speaker 3: Go win. Go win. Go win.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Shut up about everything else. You're firing front office people
- 43:20Speaker 2: and not speaking about it. Go start winning football games
- 43:24Speaker 2: and show everyone that what you're talking about is not
- 43:27Speaker 2: just lip service, that this team is actually improving, they're
- 43:30Speaker 2: actually getting better, and they can actually be a force
- 43:33Speaker 2: in the future.
- 43:33Speaker 3: To do that, you've got to start winning some games.
- 43:35Speaker 2: If they lose this hunt and go to 0-5, 0-17
- 43:38Speaker 2: is legitimately on the table.
- 43:41Speaker 1: I'll say this to wrap up briefly. it changes the
- 43:44Speaker 1: conversation at least to a win and the snowball effect
- 43:48Speaker 1: that could happen. And you start talking about October instead
- 43:50Speaker 1: of December. And thankfully we would be there. And it's
- 43:53Speaker 1: 0-4 against 0-4. Take advantage of that instead of, you know,
- 43:58Speaker 1: do what the Texans are trying to do. Get right
- 44:00Speaker 1: in all of that. Chad, let's watch some good football
- 44:03Speaker 1: this weekend. And safe travels. Glad you're avoiding the storms.
- 44:08Speaker 1: And we'll catch up on Monday.
- 44:10Speaker 3: I'll be talking to you from the beach on Monday, Hutton.
- 44:12Speaker 3: It's going to be fun.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Sounds good. Hey, a lot more coming all day right
- 44:16Speaker 1: here on the Sports State Network. He's Withrow. I'm Hutton.
- 44:18Speaker 1: This is Hutton and Withrow presented by Hard Rock Bet.
