- Kim Bobbitt: Welcome to Voice Notes After Dark, episode number five. What's that in Spanish, Phantom? That would be numero cinco. Yeah, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. so we have Raven and Phantom here with us today talking about their audio. Hey, I had to do it. I had to do it. Why not? So this is gonna be a little interview. They just released a audio called Soap. An entitlement and the soap was small, the entitlement was big. I can't look you in the eye anymore, Kim. Why not? shit. I'm sorry. Do you know how many people that I'm friends with now that I've listened to moan into microphones? It's really not a big deal. It's just part of the business. Because I'm gonna go a little mushy here real quick because Raven is Such a good friend, and I would not be doing this without you a hundred percent. you encouraged me when I when I brought the idea to you. You said I think you definitely should do it. You said I think it's necessary, you said you said a lot of really kind things, and it gave me the courage to go ahead and do it and B and I are having so much fun and I am so glad that you're here now and we can kinda tell everybody about how amazing you are. So that's what That's very sweet. I I d like I said, like you were there when I had a hundred followers, maybe, and you know, I've just hit one K as well. And you've just been there for every step. And I just remember when you followed me, I like, Who is this? Inf I think you were like the first influencer to follow me as well, like book top kind of person. I was like, Who is th how did she find me? Like what what is this? And I don't even know it but we just instantly clicked and now I think I genuinely think we talk every day. Pretty much. But I just remember having that conversation with you about that really beautiful crossover between the audiobook community and the audio erotica community and the current state of podcasts in the space. And I had listened to your work obviously at like I said, your episode on the coffee shop, by Rosalind Jay with Sean Masters and Grayson Owens, right? Mm-hmm. Yeah. And I just remembered like that is one of the filthiest audio books I've ever heard. It's it's like a short three hour like plot sex. Like it's totally time. Yeah. And the way you just handled that interview, like it it was just so professional about something so filthy and you can tell that, you know, Sean and Grayson just felt comfortable just answering all these questions about it. And you know, I'm I'm very open and honest about this topic in Audio Erotica. I th I think there is a gap when it comes to the interviews and how they're conducted. There's so many podcasts out there now doing it, but I just think there's still this gap that we're not quite kinda covering when it comes to addressing the vulnerability of it and the people involved and the questions we may ask voice actors as well. So when I knew that you were kinda looking into it, I was like, she'd be perfect. She would be absolutely perfect. So I'm really glad that you came in and did it. And obviously your first episode, you know, with Atlas like just blew up the way that it should be. We were talking about it before we got here. We Have no idea. Like we're just like, what is even happening? This is insane. Yeah, no. But it comes down to who you are as a person, Kim, and I just I I just knew you'd do so well. And now you're breaking my pod virginity, so crazy way to put that. I hope you love it. Is there any other way to put out the I mean I have done that for a lot of people, so I'm happy to go for you. okay, okay. She's got experience. She's got experience, huh? Yeah. It's w it's literally one of I was just talking to a friend of mine about this yesterday actually because we were talking about how, you know, there are people that we we get on these shows that have done this like fifty times and they've talked to everybody and, you know, their dog. And it's great and it's fun and it's nice to have conversations like that with people. But I would much rather talk to people who are nervous. to do this kind of thing or who haven't done a million interviews and get those people out there for people to see rather than conduct the same interview with somebody who's been interviewed fifty times and been asked the same questions every time. So yeah, I just I think it's more fun anyway. So and I like I don't I don't want people to be scared to go to do things like this to promote themselves. So, you know, if you have a good experience then at least maybe you'll do more of it. So So, let's talk about this audio because it's freaking hot. And Raven messaged me and she said, Do you wanna listen to this audio? And I said, Well of course I wanna listen to your audio and she goes, Kim, we be fucking like the exact words. I was like, that's exactly what she said. Just so you know, we be fucking s and r and I said Raven. That's kinda the point, babe. I just think, you know, MF it's it's different to speak it a listener. Like you're you know, you you kind of put it in a category of voyeurs like you're a fly on the wall kind of thing. So true, true. But it's very similar to books. I mean an audio book, yeah, yeah. It's more like a book. I mean that's what we're used to, you know. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. So to me, honestly, that's almost a little bit more comfortable than and we've talked about we talked about this with Atlas you know, it's sometimes it it's it's almost too intimate, you know, when you don't have that other person involved and you're like, shit, this is really this is really me. Okay, cool. and then it's like like with the safer work stuff, like he was saying, you know, sometimes people feel like it's too, you know, too comfortable, too intimate. You know, it's it's like And so that's really interesting to me. There's so many different reasons why people listen to these audios and it's so different and so personal for everyone. And so I just I I actually this actually bothered me not at all because like I said, it's just like listening to a book. So great. Like we're cool. We're cool. I love that you said that though, because I I I was just talking about these I think two atlas as well. like I can't do well and not that I can't do it. I can't gravitate towards safe for work audios. The tags that I probably stay away from are like established relationship, husband, BFE, GFE, which is like boyfriend experience, girlfriend experience. Those really sweet ones, like I'm just not pulled to them. I don't know. I d and I think maybe they are too intimate. Like it's not what I'm listening to Audio Erotica for. Like to me, or for me, erotic audio erotica is like my fantasies. It's everything that I can't do I don't know. Like it it there's just so much creative freedom in it and I that's why I listen to it. So if I'm gonna go listen to it, I don't want the boyfriend stuff. But that's just me, you know. But for you know, for some people they only want to listen to that stuff. They're not going to listen to darker things or paranormal and fantasy 'cause it's not real enough for them. They wanna go in for the the boyfriend stuff, or the husband stuff. 'cause it helps them feel comfortable with those aspects maybe in real life. So that's a really good point. But it's just like genres in in anything. You know, it it it's it's same thing with books. I mean, there are people who listen to exclusively rom coms or exclusively dark romance or you know, i everyone has their preferences and that's just the way it is. And but thank goodness there is enough out there for you to have a preference and for you to go, okay. I don't really like this, but I will definitely listen to this or this or this. And so there's plenty of variety. Yeah. Yeah, there's so much variety. so and that's what's great about it, because it is so inclusive for everyone. and I love that. And I feel like unfortunately, it's been that way for a long time. And I don't think people really recognize how inclusive AE is, even as comparatively to books sometimes. I mean, there's so much more openness and talk of inclusivity and disabilities and body types and race and everything. It's so open and honest honestly spoken about in this community. Whereas it's still it's spoken about in the book community, but it's definitely it's still kind of not taboo, but it everyone kind of tiptoes around a lot of these issues. It becomes its own specific genre. Like instead of just it being like inclusive. Right. It's literally like these are disabled books. Right. Exactly. And like the FMC is plus sized. It's its own thing. Which it's it's fine to, I guess, like advertise things in order to draw in the the readers that you want. But It does become more performative at s at one at a point where it's not really about including people. It's more about, hey, look at me, I'm including people. Let's get started on our questions. All right. So we're gonna talk to you guys a little bit about your your journey into voice acting and this community. And then B's gonna go into some technical questions with you. And then we're gonna go to Silly's and we're done. Okay. Sounds to me. Alright, so we'll start with Raven. What was the most surprising part to you about getting into AE and doing this these audios? AE in particular? Well anything. Yeah. Anything. Audio I would say just like how sensitive to sound you become. I can't like just when I first started putting together my first one, I remember like looking for sounds to drop in that I was working in on the track and everything. And then I'm like, I need like a a thump, you know, like a very generic thump. And I didn't know that I would just become so like anal about these things. Like I would then go and listen to fifty two different samples of thumps only to get so frustrated. It was terrible. This was it was like driving me insane. This was my like mini series collab with Atlas and then it was driving me insane. I went upstairs in my walk-in wardrobe and like I like put it into like Google and I was like, How can I create like a realistic thump? And it like punch a leather jacket. Okay. See different stuff. It's it's all like I go upstairs. Flip B switch. But I'm upstairs and I'm like body clocking my wardrobe. I'm like, I shouldn't have done it that hard. And I've got my phone literally like like so I've got my phone and I'm like recording me just like elbowing this jacket in my wardrobe just because because that's the thump that I like very specifically want. my because I think she gets I haven't listened to them in a while. I think she's like pushed up against a wall. And just all these thumps. Sometimes B, you gotta just go up and make your and and another one was I think in the second one, you know, she gets grabbed by the throat. I really wanted that to be heard. I I didn't want me to just suddenly be like you know, like I I really wanted the the grab. And so I'm here like deep and close to my mic and I'm just like and then I'm like, no, harder and I'm like doing this like twenty times. Like proper Yeah, and you win pie by accident. yeah. Yeah yeah. Like I definitely hurt myself for sure. No, I definitely hurt myself. I was like grabbing my throat like this and I'm like, it's not coming through, so I'd go even closer and I'm like and I'm like, the things you do for the audio. So yeah, I think that surprised me, like just how fixated I would become on just very certain sounds because I edit my own audios. you know, some voice actors will source editors and they won't do it themselves. I know Phantom edits his own two. and so I'm I'm just very particular. I I need it to sound perfect, otherwise it it's not going out there. So yeah, if it's not the right thump, I'll just go I'll go make it myself. Do you guys ever like just when you're day to daying, hear something and go, That's it. I need that noise. That noise there for that specific thing. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. 'cause i if you don't mind me interjecting for just a bit. No, it's your turn. You can go ahead. stay just yours. Like if I if I reuse a sound effect, it be it from a sound pack or, you know, somewhere on Pixel Bay, what ends up happening is that sound kind of becomes s not not sign signature, but like It's recognizable. So people can tell like, this is from this thing. And it kinda does lessen the experience a bit when you're like, wait, I've heard this exact same audio cue like, you know, five times over. So v the variety is important and I find myself recording my own sounds more and more often, if possible, because well, I don't want I don't want I don't want my audience to sound the same. Right. It's that children laughing sound clip that you hear absolutely everywhere and you like know it off by heart because it's everywhere. It's so recognizable, yeah. Yeah. Phantom, tell me a little bit about how you got into this and h where you got s how you got started in doing voiceover work. Sure, yeah. So I started doing voiceover work I think about four years ago. four or five years ago now. and I I was kinda just doing it like on a whim during COVID. Right. Like I was locked down and I was alone. And I was like I don't know. I I had a microphone that I use for like some college presentations. And I remember one of my classmates messaged me on our on can Canva or Canvas. Rather Canvas yeah. It's like our you know learning platform. And they were like, Hey, I just wanted to say you have a really nice voice. And I was like, Are you hitting on me? But also thank you. First of all. But thank you. But I was like, that's that's kinda cool. and like I used to listen to like, you know, motivational safer work stuff 'cause I was kinda going through a bad time, to be honest. I think a lot of people were. Yeah. And I stumbled upon GWA from there. And I was like, huh, I kinda wanna try this too. So I give it a shot. And I don't know why I started with sub audio. I think I just picked like one of the first scripts I saw. Mm-hmm. And that did really, really well. But I didn't take it super seriously. I posted it like maybe eight times in the span of two years and then I quit. Because I was just like, Yeah, I'm getting some weird messages, you know. yeah. Yeah. But then last year last year I was going through some like some old accounts and a friend of mine messaged me and was like, my god, this is the hottest thing ever. I had to stop it and pause it just to tell you that this is great. And I'm like, thank you Sort of a kick in the head, like, I should start doing this again. I think I've got better equipment, so I've got better acumen for it. You know? and ever since then it's it's been pretty good. I've really I really enjoyed you know, making audios as phantom and you know, people have said very nice things. You two have a great voice. Thank you. so was that literally the first time anyone ever told you that you had a good voice? Yes it was actually. That's crazy. You a squeaky voice. I like, I'm I'm never gonna be a voice actor. I'm never gonna be a voice actor And and then you grow up and you're like I can be a voice actor. Hell yeah. That's hilarious. So do you would you would you want to go into books at all? Are you happy with with doing my dream is to do a book. My dream is to do a book. I just don't know how to it like it it's a lot of networking I think. It is. and to be honest, some like life circumstances have stopped me from being getting on that train. so to speak. Raven. But trains God dang it, I missed it again. Choo choo. Choo choo. Choo choo but no, I I have I have met with a few people and I think I may have something in the works for next year. So I'm very excited. It's a it's in Spanish too. a bit of Spanish too, so I'm very excited. He's trying to kill us. Yes, yes. I'd love to do a book. I'd love to do a a game, a project really anything that that's like published. I did do a comic a couple months ago. That was really cool. It was like based on any any of you familiar with Visipop Hell of a Boss? Yes. I mean yes. No, no, no, say it with your chest. Say it with your chest. Yes. I I did a But you're also an amazing artist, B, so I think that's part of where that comes from. know it, you appreciate it, it's hard work. Mm-hmm. I did like a comic dub for for like a fan made comic. I was like a Hispanic demon and it was it was really cute, right? It was only a couple of lines, but I was like I'm in a thing. I'm in a thing. So I'd I would be taking notes. Okay, cool. She's gonna be in the DMs later. Yeah, she'd be back some more weird messages, but not the way you think. It's gonna be weird in another whole nother way. She's gonna slide in professionally. Yeah, she's gonna slide in and talk about sounds and accents and weird shit. Where's my comic professionally? Okay, well we talked a little bit about sounds, so I think this is kind of goes along that lines, but what are the things that you, Raven, really geek out about in this space? Like what really gets you like super excited? My favorite thing ever right now is F. Or even like F F as well, but I haven't edited F F on my own. I just recorded one, which I'm really excited about. but I've edited, you know, all of my collabs that I've done so far, which I would say God, three or four. but even before I did Audi Erotica, you would know Kim, like I had done some narration snippets with some male narrators, Brandon Brandon Bonavir. I I'm gonna butcher that last name. Yeah. Patrick, love Patrick. Patrick was my first and I just I love seeing Patrick do so well. He's doing so well. I'm loving it. He was my first first like narrative bestie. I just remember piecing together our voices for the for the first time like in this booth and and I was just like blown away. I was like, this is incredible that two people who live, you know, he's in the States, I'm here in Australia. to be able to piece something together and it just it just works. Yeah. Then in Audio Rodica I I find that that's just enhanced like two hundred percent because then you've got two voices that are paired up together but then you're adding in background sound like nighttime ambience or sound effects. Like it's just absolutely incredible how immersive and almost three D you can create sound. So y my favorite thing right now is combining two voices together. I would love to do three, maybe maybe an F that would kill me editing but Yeah, I I think that's that's a really fascinating thing for me at the moment. Yeah. I think and it it there is so much more collab like true collaboration in the AE space than there than it is in the book space because a lot of times whenever there's multiple voices, multicast or whatever, those people rarely even talk to each other. Like they literally just send their samples in and then, you know, an editor kind of edits everything together and You know, they may send a a little snippet back and forth just to be like, Hey, this is what I'm sounding like, if you want to kind of match up to that or whatever. But there is like this real true spirit of collaboration in the AE space, which is really cool. And I think it only makes everything better. So Definitely. Yeah. Yep. What about you, Phantom? Hmm. What do you geek out about? I I I think I think this is because I I'm still kind of new to doing collaborations in general, but I really, really like creating a soundscape for for the audios. Like I did one recently, it was called Father Figures Forbidden Feedback. I love the alliteration there. alliteration. Yes. Right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, the the script writer, Gabba Gabba girl. She she's very good at that. It's like a signature, I think. And the premise of that is basically like you're in like a a radio station in the winter. So there's like a storm outside, and you know, inside there's radio tech and beeps and boops and alarms and you know, crackle static. It's really cool. So the audio premise itself is i it's it's a it's a tad dark, right? It's a tad dark. But I was like, okay, for s for something like this, we need atmosphere. So I'm over here scouring for like a decent soundscape sort of foundation. I think that's kinda how I stopped my process. and that took forever. But once you get that, then it's just layers and layers and layers, right? Yeah. It's adding some static in the background, it's adding some radio voice in the background, it's adding some like knobs and dials being turned and word. And to be able to immerse the listener, not just in, you know, like obviously what I'm t telling them, saying to them, but also like if they close their eyes, they can see the radio station. They can see the s they can hear the storm outside, you know, howling in the wind. It's like, wow. Like it it really transports you somewhere. And I think that is my f favorite thing about, you know, just getting all the sound effects together, getting all the pieces the puzzle together. It's it's such a great experience. Yeah. It really is. And you d you guys do with sound what authors do with words and books. You you make that you create that visual. You create the imagery of what's going on by using sound, which is so difficult and such a talent in and of itself. So when you're editing your own stuff and you're creating those, you're basically writing a story, which is It's just so cool and I can imagine that would be pretty fun. Like you can change the tone of something so easily with what sound you're using. A percent. I'm sure this is something that I don't think a lot of people understand when they get into this kind of thing, but you know, you do kind of develop a lot of parasocial relationships when you're in this area. how do you handle that? Raven, do you are you how do you deal with DMs and you know, people thinking that they can talk to you any way they want to sometimes? I think I'm in a very interesting time where my account is very much picking up, especially since the rebrand to Raven as well, and starting to post to Reddit, like Gone Wild Audio. I haven't luckily, I haven't had any wild encounter with parasocial behavior. I'm surprised at the comments that people just do openly leave on Reddit or DM me, I think. Like I haven't had anything scary where I've like, my god, like I think I'm about to get doxxed or something like that. But I have had some fascinating DMs come through. Fascinating. Like my favourite one was this guy on Reddit DM'd me. I think I had only just uploaded my verification as well. It's like this 10 second audio where you're like, this is my username and this is how you spell it, blah blah blah. This guy DM'd me and he's like, hey. My name's X and I'm twenty nine and I'm from the UK and I just want you to know that I'm kinda like hotel hopping at the moment for work 'cause I'm on a trip and if you wanna get into a call and just talk about stuff, just let me know. I know that your DMs he's like, I know that your DMs say please own like you know, I wrote please only DM if you're a writer or another creator and he's like, I haven't written anything yet, but we could chat. And I'm just like something sounds a lot like the prime episode I watched two weeks ago. But the fact that he felt the need to tell me his name, his age, where he's from and now you're like, dude, it's not tender. Like, come on. D we don't you know and he signed it off anymore. Yeah. We don't do ASL over here. But like he signed it off with his name again. He was like, Thanks so much. Like it's a new name. It's like a full letter. I was reading a I was like, what fuck? Okay, dear Raven. Dear Raven. Yeah. And then like you obviously get your wild comments like, Yeah, one of my other favorites is this guy that just literally he's like gooning and edging to you, please do a part two. And I was like, you know what? Hell yeah. That's what I that's what I I want to hear. In the spirit, yeah. It's it's good feedback, so very good. You should be goooting. You should be Yeah. You should be that's you know, and that's why I'm moaning to a mic for for comments like that. so yeah, I'm very lucky 'cause I'm still Like I I think I'm quite early into my audio erotica career in particular. Like I'm st I'm here there kinda everywhere. but I can only imagine what that's like on the male end. So yeah. Yeah, it's interesting. It really is kind of I think of a switch for in these industries in b in the book space as well. I think male narrators, male voice actors in general tend to get a lot more of, you know, that kind of behavior than the females do. Surprisingly. And I guess it's because it's more of a female dominated space, especially in the book space. and I think honestly probably AE as well. I mean there's there it's really mostly a female dominated space. I am surprised about Reddit though. Because there are a lot of like girls on Reddit. And I would have thought that boys would be It's it's like the medium, right? So like a survey like like GWA will have more women in it because, you know, it's a medium that more women enjoy than men. mm. So it it's almost like like a how what's it called? Like a bubble. It's like a bubble. Mm-hmm. W who was it we were talking to? Was it Flynn that was like, you know Guys don't really talk about this with each other like women do, you know? It's like it's coming almost like a like a shame like a shame thing kind of like we don't talk about. Like boys don't just listen to And I was like, Really? You don't watch you don't listen to porn with your friend and watch each other's faces? That's weird, 'cause we do. We have a whole podcast about it, actually. We have a whole podcast about it. And people like it. What do you know? I feel like I feel like Gone Wild is becoming more of a male audience, I find. I'm I'm definitely finding that there is more of that or men are feeling more comfortable listening to Audio Erotica and understanding what that can do for them. because there is such again like there's such a variety. So on GWA, which is where a lot of Audio erotica VAs will be if they're not on Quinn, for example. It's it's such a huge platform for us. like you'll scroll through your feed and you'll see something that could just be like sweet, nerdy girl like meets you at back or something, but then y on the complete opposite end, you'll just scroll down and the next one will be like huge mommy milf like I don't know, fucks you on like the pool deck, grabs your balls. Like it's like there is no in between, but it's there's something for everyone and I feel like more men are flooding into it 'cause they're just like, Well, hold on. There's some filthy filthy things in here. Some hot shit. Some fantasies are and there's darker subreddits as well. yeah. There's some freaky stuff on there. But I think that's the beauty of Audio Erotica. There's something for everyone. There is a creator that's doing something for for everyone. It's amazing. what about you, Phantom? Have you had any odd encounters or comments or Several. Several. See, I knew it. It's so crazy. Like these poor male Eat kid with a voice like that, come on. Of course. I mean but you can do things respectfully. No, no, no. I've had a few that are like were especially memorable. one somebody was like in the middle of it and they were like, Hey, you wanna see? I'm like, No. Damn, like like buy a guy a dr I always say the same thing. I say buy a guy a drink first. and then this other time The most respectful solicitation I've ever received. this person was like, Hello, I am a I think they were like a thirty five year old professional. I am s visiting the United States for a couple of days. I want to be blunt with you and you can delete this if you don't like it. I want to have phone sex with you. here's a picture of me. It's like a suggested picture of them, like, you know, in lingerie in the bed and in a hotel, clearly. I'm like, Wow And they were like, let me know, please, thank you. I was like Damn, like this almost be it's this this there's a there's a bow on this. You know, it's very polite. Yeah. And recently I had one that just straight up said, Your posts are crazy and I want you. Like okay. I mean I mean to be fair, that's kind of the point. But also like no. I'll say this. It's I think I think there are guys who would kill for that kind of attention, right? But then the the important thing here is that as creators there is a sort of w sort of wall that needs to be put up. Mm-hmm. I think. Because people are crazy. People you know, you you you really don't know these people. It it's it's that old adage, right, of like you you know, you don't don't you don't know who who you're talking to online. You know, it's a bit scary. So I I I just avoid it. So like I get DMs, I get messages, even in my like anonymous feedback form and I'm just like, cool. Yeah. But I'm not gonna engage 'cause No. I cl I I used to have like an open DM policy last year and that only lasted for like three, four months maybe. 'Cause after that I was like, Okay, no. Yeah. Just just stop. And that lesson gets learned. Real fast. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, and it's so hard because you do really have to walk this line of it's so hard for males in this space. I I I you know, I'm not I'm definitely not that girl who's like poor pitiful men because like fuck that. But also like it's so hard because you have to be flirty but not too flirty. You have to be dangerous but safe. You have to be totally appropriate all the time, but also extremely inappropriate all the time. And it's just a fine line. It's so difficult. Yeah. And I just have so much respect for any of you guys who are able to maintain that. And it really does take exactly what you're doing. It's almost like you have to just be like, no, I can't even like I can't even think about entertaining any of these conversations because it's just it's only gonna lead to bad things. And Yeah. Yeah. It's like boundaries, isn't it? Like boys tend to like Especially like cis men tend to not grow up having danger boundaries drilled into them or growing up learning how to set them. So as soon as like you're in that space, you're like, shit. Shit's happening. What do I do? Yeah. Yeah. And I like I used to like like reply like, hey, thank you for the offer, you know, it's it's very sweet of you, but but No, but then but then I realized that that's a bad idea too because by doing that then I had someone go like I'm talking to Phantom And I'm like I seriously? Seriously. Ew. Like, okay, whatever. So I just I don't even engage anymore. Like I can't even say I can't even be polite, right? I have to like like look at it and be like, Okay, ignore. That's what's so hard is like you can't even be yourself. Like you can't even like Normally you would have a conversation with someone like that and you would just be like, Hey, that's so nice, thank you. But you can't even do that. Like you have to just completely disconnect yourself from your persona and it is so difficult and yeah, I know. It's it's rough. So what is an audio, both of you guys, what is an audio that you've done that you think everyone should listen to? Hmm. Well, soap and entitlement clearly. Clearly. That's Phantom, I guess you have to say soap and entitlement. Phantom Sopin entitlement. Soap and entitlement for sure, if you're looking for some MF. I've wrote that one and I loved it. I d I try and write a lot of my own scripts, but you did an excellent job with it too. Thank you, darling. finding the time. My God, editing, recording, script writing. If I could give up everything and script write or like go on a d deserted island and and just write for three months, I so would. But it you know, it's not feasible. Like I you know, I have my nine to five as well. This is very much my hobby, it's my five to nine. but when I do write, those scripts obviously mean so much more. to me. But then being able to script fill is also a privilege, especially if you've got a very special relationship with the writer too. I think that's a really special thing in Audio Erotica. having like the relationships with with script writers, whether they're script writers for Quinn or they're predominantly on Reddit, I think that's a really, really special connection to have. But yeah, so I would say if I had to pick one that isn't soap and entitlement. I think I would probably go with override. That's my real dorky inspired by Cyberpunk twenty seventy seven the game. yeah, it it was a a friend of mine in the in the VA space who was like, I just don't see enough of this. Like th there's not enough stuff that's based off of like cyberpunk. And I was like, Bet, I'll write something. Let me do something. That was also my first crack at established relationships. Someone one of my friends pointed out to me. They're like, Do you know that all of your audios are public risky and strangers to lovers? And I was like, What? What? That's crazy. And I was like, no, I have to stop doing that. So I think I had like three already and they were just all strangers to lovers, public risky sex. And I'm like, no. I okay. Anyways Huh, let's switch it up a bit. Perhaps I have a thing. Maybe I have a thing. Maybe you have a thing. You know, and I I mentioned like I don't gravitate towards these established relationship, really lovey dovey kinda audios. So it was a challenge for me as well, to write it, you know, this yeah, again like really affectionate kind of script in a way. Filthy. But affectionate. Which is so odd to me because you are literally one of the most affectionate people I've ever spoken to. Like you're so sweet and kind and you give a lot of love to give. And you're like, but fuck that in an audio. Fuck that. I need the filthy degradation con no, but just call me a slut and let's move on. Please. Slap me on a little bit. but yeah. So I'd I'd go with override just because of how out of the comfort zone that was for me, but sound effects wise as well. God. I that also had a cameo from Miles Cross, who's one of the very first few creators that I ever listened to on Quinn. I adore him. and and yeah, he said yes to doing these cameo lines for me and it was just really special and I had lots of fun picking very certain sound effects for it. I love this cat take a too So she's been staring at me. She says into my soul I can feel it, so I have to put it into it. I love it. Yeah. But yeah. Okay. Phantom, what about you? soap and entitlement again. Nope. Thank you. Ramble have number fifteen no, not that. No. No, no. If you're yeah, that that's if that's what you that that's that's your favorite. He does have a really good one, I'm just saying, and it's bilingual. Wait, wait, wait, I gotta know which one which one are you talking about? The one where is it your echo makes an appearance or your Apple Watch or something at the end? yeah, yeah, yeah. It was like a w one year thing. Yeah. Yeah, it was his yeah, one year ramble fair and he's like He gets like this guest appearance from his tech in in his room. No, no, it's like once once the train, right, like every time every time I do one of those, it's always something, right? Once a train, once a watch. Like next time it's gonna be next time it's gonna be I'm gonna have like a phone call. And she's gonna pick up the phone in the middle of it. Like Hello? Hello? Hello, I'm kinda busy. Yeah. I'm kinda busy right now, but yeah. sorry to interrupt that my two gaga's telephone comes over. It's fine. I mean when people ring my doorbell like House rings out with somebody's at the TARDIS. Yeah. It's true. It does have fame. Yeah, it's fame. It's amazing. Yeah. But no, no, no, really though. and I I mentioned this one a lot, but it it's very special to me because it was the first script that someone like wrote specifically for me. And this artist is no longer in the space, but they did such an amazing job. you've always been mine. And I I looked at it a couple of days ago. That one is like my second most listened to audio at over twenty thousand plays. And it's just it it's amazing, right? It's like a Yandere sort of character, you know, best friend, supposedly, right? But it's like, well, you I noticed that like you you always hang out with other guys and you never talk about me and Hmm, you know, it's whatever. It's fine. It's fine. Not mad about it. I'm not mad about it. Anyways, do you want to I mean could be, but I'm not. and then like like I this is the first time I ever did this, but like I I did some sound mixing where I sound as if I get up off the couch, I walk over to the kitchen and I'm in all muffled like You never talk about it, do you? Well, I'm like you know, fixing up some tea, cabinets, water boiling. Like I it just it's very immersive and I'm very proud of it, SFX wise. I'll have to go with that one up. And it's it's just it's so good. It I'm very proud of it. And I'm even to this day, like people message me like saying, This is this is great. You did an amazing job. I love that. I love it when people feel good about things that they've done. Like that's to me like honestly that always shows too, like in your work, like when you're like really when you feel good about what you've put out. Like because I knew Rave I knew you loved this because this was the first time you actually came to me and you were like, Hey Do you wanna do you wanna listen? Do you wanna hear you wanna do you wanna hear it? I send you everything. So I knew you really loved it and I knew you were really proud of it because that's the first time you've ever done that. I was like, okay, okay. I think you have to be like just j like just editing in audio in this space, like in Audioretica, you have to love that. Otherwise it's not going to work. And it's all part of the process, right? But just Knowing that like every time I edit and I'm just like, kill me, I'm like I know that when I listen to the full audio and I'm done, like, you know, when I was doing soap and entitlement, as soon as I finished it, Beta listened to it forty three times in a row and I was ready to send it back to Phantom. And I'm like, Yeah, just listen and just tell me if it's fine. Like I I knew when I finally sent it, I was so proud of it and getting his live feedback as well was really special. but yeah, I like I got into Audio Erotica because someone told me they're just like, have you considered doing this? Like if if you like it i I'm gonna embarrass him like it was Atlas. when we were doing our collabs, which was these are like three short stories. They're kinda hybrid, so they're narration but there's sound effects. Yeah, short stories. Yeah. Too short. I went bitter about it though, we're all totally fine. We're all totally fine. We're we're great about it. but I just remember like there was no need for me to put sound effects. Like they were very much these short stories written by Pages Ex Pistons, who I love. and they were just coming up on my feed and I was reaching this point where I was ready to give up the voice acting. I was gonna like can the Instagram and and just get rid of it, sell all my equipment. I was just like, this is just not It's it's different in the Australian market, like in in our space, like we're we're so small, our community is so tiny. Where as an Australian, if you're not in this one publishing house, it's like just it you're not gonna you're not gonna get far. and if you can't do an American accent to then be able to market yourself to the huge American audience that it is, you're not gonna get far either. And I, you know, we don't have access to ACX to audition and things like that. So I had built everything to do audiobooks first and I'd I'd like to think I'm quite well versed in that space. And it just wasn't working. And I remember messaging Kim about it. I'm just like, I'm just not getting anywhere. Like nothing's just happening. And then I was struggling for content as well. I'm like DMing authors and I'm like, can I please narrate like parts of your book? Like I'll do it for free. And I was just like, I can't I love it, and I'm just like, I can't do this, like I'm just gonna quit. And then my last chance, like I was just like, Okay, I know these stories have popped up. I'm gonna ask this this girl, I'm gonna ask her if she would allow me to narrate her stories and allow me to narrate it with someone. And I I'd like I'll I'll I'll see how they go. And she had so many and I just picked a few. And I was originally going to get Patrick to do them with me, but his career was really picking up. And, you know, we're so happy for him. You know, he's got like his podium book now. And he was just like, Hey, like I don't have time, because I'm doing like the audio books and I was like, Okay, cool. And I kinda owe him a lot as well, because if he didn't say that he was busy, I would have never, you know, reached out. And That bleed through of creators in Audio Erotica coming into the audio book space was there. It was on my feed and then, you know, I had known who Atlas was and Miles and things like that as well. And I was just something possessed me to just be like, just just DM him and and just see if he would narrate it with you because like I'd I'd didn't have this relationship with any other male narrator. And I was just like, just do it. His DM says open for business. sure. And I just remember sending him the the DM. I was just like, hey, like I'm Raven and I do this. and I just remember sending it and I'm like, he's never gonna reply. He's never gonna see this and he is never going to reply ever. And he responded like the next day. You know. And when he said yes to it, I was like, this is this is crazy. I also did not know I have to really word this carefully. I did not know how big Atlas was the time. No, I know exactly what you mean. Yeah. Like But I mean like when did you reach out to it? Like I reached out I can tell you the exact day. I I believe it was May nineteenth of this year, if you'd like to know. my god. He'd like really close to a million. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So, you know, this is before Atlas blew up and got a million plays and he's now, you know every second of his days doing audiobooks and things like that. I got him at this like split second before he went crazy, you know, in the audio record space. Very lucky. and we smashed those out. But it was when I was sending him the clips where I was just like, hey, I think I'm gonna I'm gonna have some fun and I'm gonna like add some sound effects to this. And I would drop them into the Google Drive with him and I was just like, what do you think? And then I would get really excited about it. And I was like, I'm thinking of adding hey, I've just gone and punched this leather jacket up in my wardrobe. Like I've just choked myself in my booth a couple of times. What you think? Like maybe two. But I was authentic sounds. Yeah. I was I you know, my eyes were just lighting up with joy over this because then when I was piecing together our voice because I had done it with Patrick, but you know, that was audiobook narration, there was no sound. It's different. But when I had to put Atlas and I's voice together and then the sound effects as well. And then I remember searching for like a very specific nighttime alleyway sound to put in as well. And hearing it all together, I remember messaging him and I was just like, This is so much fun. Like, wow, there's so much creative freedom in this space. Like I was like you literally lit up. Like your whole soul lit up. As soon as you found it, like your whole attitude changed. Like everything about the way that you were speaking changed. Yeah. It was it was you really just it just really kind of lit a fire in you for sure. I feel like I found where I was meant to be in this space, which is interesting because if you ask any AE VA, a lot of them will say, I want to do audiobooks. You know, like Phantom just said it as well. Whereas for me it's It you know, it's the complete opposite. I think but I think also a lot of people say that and then once they do it, they're like, Mm, maybe not because long form narration is so difficult different and difficult and time consuming. And I don't think a lot of people realize that until they do it and they're like, Holy shit, it took me like ten times as long to do this as it does to do this and you know, I know Atlas has already said, you know, he's like, I don't know how I'm going to keep up you know, this schedule with all of these books and yeah, I mean it it really does become an issue. So yeah, I I I think obviously everyone wants to do audiobooks because that's the legitimate thing to do. It makes you feel it makes you more professional or whatever. But that's one of the reasons why I'm doing this. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah. So since we kind of started talking about soap and entitlement. Let's talk about soap and entitlement. And I'm just nervous. she bit him. I did. Yeah. You did bite me, yeah. And Henry Cavilles. The Henry Cavill line fucking sent me. Like I was done. That was so good. Yeah. I mean Yeah. When we're wearing sleep token at the moment. Yeah. I'm just in black all the time. So you know, the script was definitely based off of real life. I am what I am. I am what I am. Sometimes I wear midnight black. Sometimes it's jet black this. Literally. Fifty Shades of Black was great too. Loved that. That was good. That was good. Yeah, I think my favorite line was Out of My Way, Captain America. Like the way she said it she's just like out of my way, Captain America. is that what it sound like? Yeah, it was great. it was so good. And I think like the way that you wrote it and the way that you performed it Phantom, I've never been so disgusted by the word sweetheart in my life. Like I never want to hear that again because the way you said it was so smarmy and grucky. You don't want me to say sweetheart? I just wanted to punch you in the face every time you said it. He was just really trying to try to get into my pants everything. But I mean again, that's because you're doing so good at being like a total like Sure, not because I really hate getting Just an ass, really. Just like like I don't give a fuck. I need to get this done right now. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I remember telling Phantom for the phone call, which is how, you know, the the audio starts, I was like, I need you to embody just the biggest fucking twat that there is. Like just he is a dick. Like he does not keep mission accomplished. Yeah. I'm glad that I could play a good dick. You really did. Like you really made me hate you a lot. You've got to play an absolute tosspot. Yeah. Yeah, absolute tosspot is the title, you know. Yeah. My favorite thing was, are all American men annoying and entitled as you? And I'm my answer to that is mostly, yes. Good to know. Mostly good. I could I can vouch for that. Yeah. also you your editing was amazing, Raven, because your noises did not affect B at all. thank you. Thank you thank you thank you. I'm so glad. Yep. She was totally fine with it. Fantastic. That's such a compliment. Phantom if you don't know if you don't know B lore. The lore on B is that she's not a huge fan of wet noises. yeah. And so I guess Some people do them really well. We've decided that it's the audio it's the peaking. It's it's an it's an ear thing for her, I think. yeah. Yeah, it's if it's too loud or like too overwhelming. Too loud, I think. If the wet is right in the ear, mm mm. I I've heard a few audios where it's just like, okay, this is this is too much. Yeah. Like it it it it takes me out of it because I'm like the wet noises are too overwhelming, too overpowering, sometimes cartoonish almost. And like Performative as well. Performative, yeah, yeah. Like it I like I like a subtle, like almost like a background, I guess, wet noise. Like it's there, obviously, but you're not like right up to the microphone with it, right? It's more like No, but we I mean like it's a valid thing. It's a valid thing, right? Like I I've asked people, I've done surveys like, do you like the wet noises? Yeah or nay. And I've had like a mixed bag of answers. Same with like countdowns. Countdowns are a mixed bag too. Some people like some people don't. So you know, I I think I think a good middle ground is kinda like what what Raven did, right? Just kinda like making it but not super overpowering, super overwhelming. That's something we come to learn in time. With SFX without SFX, which I don't understand 'cause I love like the special But they also sometimes do with wet noises and without wet noises, and I'm like, I love you. I might still do that then though. Mm. Well it'd be easy for us. No sound effects. Huh. Cool. I'll be twenty audios a week. Let's go. I can't yeah, yeah. If if if I if all I had to do was just say things to mic I would be I I used to produce three audios a week. I don't know how the hell I did that last summer. now it's more like once every month or two, but it's also life circumstances in the way. I think I don't know. It's hard for me to release from without sound effects. It just doesn't Yeah, I don't think I'd love it as much. Like that's that's what really pieces it all together. Like I just finished recording a a different collab which will come out soon. That collab will be with Dr. Rapture from Quinn. Ooh, Doctor Rapture. Dr. Rapture, he's he's a biggie. I'm obsessed with Doodle Dark. Can I just say that I'm obsessed with Doodle Dark? That was done by Amanda Doodle, yeah. I love it. It's like my new favorite thing on the planet. I'm obsessed with it. I I I love little animations. The little dainty. But like I just finished editing that. And I will always do the complete edit through of matching our room tone and making sure that all the settings applied are and the audio sounds consistent. Like I literally just laid on the couch before headphones in and you have to listen to the whole, you know, twenty minute audio. And you're there and you're just like, This is so boring. But as soon as I like to me, you know as soon as I then go upstairs to my PC and I start like messing around with the sound effects Even just my very first step will always be the background ambience. So as soon as I'm putting that in, immediately just transforms the audio. I like feel it in my chest. I'm just like, my God, this is amazing. Like it's got atmosphere now. Like, okay, we can do something like this. Like in Soap and Entitlement I remember being very specific about the exact elevator music kind of laundromat jazz I wanted. Like it was perfect. It was perfect. So good. I remember being in a laundromat, like I was just right back there. And I've only been in one in my life. And it was like, hello. I'm so glad. Like, see that that means Ryan did a good job, right? Like if you can put yourself in there, you're like, I'm in the laundry bat, it's late at night, the fluorescent lights are buzzing above us. I love it. Well, even Phantom's audio that he brought up before, the one that's based at the radio station, that one he showed to me, I don't know if you remember Phantom, like our first phone call 'Cause I very strongly sounds like he remembers I remember. I am a big fan of like if you're going to do audio erotica with someone, God, jump into a call with them and just if you don't already know each other quite well, you gotta get into a call. I think our first phone call together was like three hours. Like there was so much to talk about. And we were talking about what it's like being a male creator, what it's like being a female creator in the space, like It was so fantastic to go over what that's like from both perspectives and our editing software and everything. He played the audio. The audio, when I was after right after I finished it up. for feedback. so you did a you guys did a B and Kim and you listened to something together. How did that go? Yeah. But hearing it live when you're in the call with a person, I was just like, I was giving directly commentary. They really are I'm going to fuck you like a good girl. What he was actually trying to convey was that he is really, really needy. Yes. Yes. If we'll delve into this further, yes. As as silly as it sounds, my god, like B and I would geek out over that so hard. We'll do it sometime. We'll do it sometime. We raise space. Specifically for the behind the scenes. I think it makes it that much more immersive. Like yeah, when Phantom was playing through his audio, he's like, and if you can hear this, this is where I did this and edited and and checked this in. I was just like, it's so fascinating hearing live, you know, how his brain works, because I know how my brain works when I edit. So that was just such a privilege for him to go through that with me. I think before it was released, Phantom, I think. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was before I released it. That was very lucky. Also I think it's important For an audience to know how much goes into what you guys are doing. Like I don't think that that really comes across to a lot of people. You know, you're talking about, you know, a short audio, something that, you know, probably on the surface looks like it doesn't take a long time or is not very labor intensive. It's like we were, you know, we were talking about it's like people don't realize how much work goes into these audios. And I think something like that, like we were just, you know, that is a lot of why B and I do this is because we do want people to understand that it is an art form, there is art to it, there is, you know, a lot of work that goes into what you're listening to. similar to comic books. You can read one of those like weekly releases in fifteen minutes, but it took a very long time to do and like six different people. And when you guys do it and you're editing your own stuff, you're doing the work of six different people a lot of time. Pretty much marketing and social media stuff. Yeah. Phantom's done longer audios than me. I like I think my longest is twenty three minutes, which is I I suppose it's quite the average in Audio Radica. But I'm pretty sure Phantom has longer but even like a ten or twenty minute audio, damn, that's like That's like eight, nine hours for me in the booth. Like it's wild. Probably more. You know, I c I have so much respect for creators who do like forty minute I don't know, Phantom, what is your longest audio? I think it's about an hour. Just a little bit under an hour. Yeah. That's crazy. I think it was one of my Halloween themed audios last fall. Rightfully so. Halloween. I like Halloween. Yes, yes. Yeah. But yeah, I I I I I honestly It's so hard. Like I wanna do I wanna do this like really long scripts, but I'm like I have so many like other smaller projects I need to finish first. So it always gets put in the back burner. Yep. Yeah. So Phantom and I have no life, but you know clearly. No, I I I ti time management is such an important thing in this space, I feel like. If you're working a full time job and you're doing this, like semi professionally, it it it's a lot, you know. recording and and taking hours to edit and if you're like in my case like if you're running community or like streaming on Twitch i d it it becomes very your time becomes very constrained very fast. When you guys first started was it difficult learning the techie techie techie? Technical sorry Welcome to please I love I love I love it. I like it I mean I did the typey typey thing is Yes. I don't know how clear you wanted me to be. I lo I love that the i i it's very accessible to the blind, I'd say. it it was a bit difficult, yeah. Like in in this space you end up learning a lot of just different tools and techniques. I used to use a USB mic, for the longest time, which was perfectly fine, but I didn't have a I didn't have a pop filter and I didn't know like how electrical noise worked. I didn't th there's just a lot of things you don't know, right? You're like, I just plug microphone into a computer, talk. It you know, the placement matters, the way it's set up on your desk matters. I used to have mine like right in front of me on like a little tripod. But now I have mine on like a boom mic arm because otherwise You know, little vibrations in the desk, that gets picked up too. Yep. So yeah, y you you I I ended up having to like basically, you know, learn as I go, watch videos. Every single audio that I've done, I feel like I learned something new. Even to this day. I have my like older older audios from like four or five years ago sitting in a vault somewhere. And I can't even listen to them because they're just so good the quality is so bad c compared to my standards today. Ye but yeah, no it's it's i it's a huge learning curve but I I really do enjoy learning, so it's not too much of a problem. Yeah. I have been told before like I'm a very fast learner, when it comes to techy techie. Like I you know, straight out of school and the the kind of work that I did as well. Like I did photography for six years. I ran that as a kinda freelance side hustle. and I just it it was all purely self taught, everything. You know, I had my very expensive camera at the time. but like just teaching myself the software and programs to be able to do that for I ended up doing automotive photography for private clients. That was a fun time in my twenties. and I d just I like to think I just pick up on things quite quickly. I will be very, very bad at it, but the next day I will learn something new and I will only get better and I think that very much translates into my audio erotica work as well. Like the first one I did I think it is called Hiking While Horny. anyways like this is a kid I mean you know it's it's fine but I as Phantom said Yeah. Like Phantom said, like I can't listen to it 'cause I'm just like that's I can't no. I d I'm not I'm not proud of that one. Like I 'cause it's you obviously get better with the audios that you do over time. but yeah, very much difficult at the start because you're just kind of finding your way and how you edit, 'cause every VA will edit differently. I'm very specific on sound and I will listen to a hundred and two samples of the most mundane sounds that you can think of. Like I think in one of my audios there's like a keyboard typing and it I remember just like going through a free sound, which is a great resource, and I'd be playing each track and I'm like, nah. Nah next too mechanical. I do the exact same thing. I'm like, this is not the right keyboard type. Yeah. Phantom and I I think our brains work very similarly when it comes to editing audio as well. Like our work ethic is quite similar. But yeah, I'm very specific, but I'd I I'd like to think that I've picked up on that skill quite quickly, but obviously still getting better as well. Yeah, 'cause you have like your go tos, don't you? You can remember how far deep that particular sound was. And that like in itself cuts time off. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. But then you have to be careful, like Phantom said, with overusing the same sounds. Like I think there's this high heel click that I've now used in every single one of mine and the the last audio did I was like, I gotta change it. Like I gotta pick a different one because now it's just too it's signature. Right, right, right. And a small follow-up on that too. I think it does help when you are you know connected with other people in the space, other creators. Because that way you can get you know tips and tricks that you wouldn't really get otherwise. for example Raven has recommended to me what's it called? R X standard? R X twelve yes, R X twelve standard, yep. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Expensive piece of software, but it is magic and it has saved me so much time. And so like you know, th there's techniques and tools, let me think, resources too. this guy Eli. Wonderful man. Love Eli. He I remember this, he somebody was like, Hey, does everyone have any like sound effects for like metal banging or something? Like you know, you're like hitting metal and he's like, I'm on it and then he'd like sent a picture of like a shovel, a rake, yeah, and a metal plate. I'm like, okay. Alright. He's on it. He's on it, yeah. That's like there's with memes. Yeah. Yeah. It's like he's got a meme for everything. I love Eli. Eli did Eli did handcuffs for me in my audio that was one that I recorded Under Your Control. I was like, I need handcuffs. Does anyone and he's like, got you. I think he sent it to me in like five minutes. So this guy Eli is his handle. He's on Quinn, but he's also He's part of the furniture, like he's been doing audio erotica for six years now. Like he started on Reddit. long time. restrained not to sing that. I'm proud of myself. I'm proud of you. Yeah. It Phantom raises a good point. The community just amongst the VAs themselves, like I'm pretty sure Phantom and I have shared sound packs as well. Like it it's really lovely. There's servers as well servers with over like a hundred creators that we're just all in dedicated channels with like editing resources and I I think a really big topic right now, and Phantom will know about it as well, is having audios scraped and put on like third party platforms. This is a really big problem with AE creators at the moment. And, you know, having just a dedicated community where VAs can talk about that and how to navigate through that challenge. I I think it's just great that that's in the community. Do you worry about being typecast because of your AE background? Ooh, good question. Very interesting question. when you say typecast, do you mean like in the context of like getting like if you were to do audiobooks and you know, you wanted to or do you f are you worried sci fi or Yeah, are you worried that your background in AE is going to keep people from looking into you for their books or anything like that? yes and no. so that's an interesting question because I've thought about like making like a safer work persona as well. but then I do see I do see creators who just get work anyways, you know, even with their AE background. And I I think it kinda has to do with th a a bit of tenacity, you know? Like for example, maybe maybe I do a a book for someone who is in the AE space that is you know, s mostly safe at work. And through that, it's like, that's cool. And even like with the AE background, they're like, well, I mean, yeah, they've done this before too, but but, you know, they have a lot of talent in in the safe work side. I think it's not too much of an issue as long as you are consistent with you know, just getting out there and kind of n maybe not leaning too heavily into one particular thing. So like Like I personally I like to do a lot of variety, so I don't just do the whole yonder egg, I'm a bad person trope. You know, I I like to make safe work audios, I like to make audios where I'm like, you know, loving and caring, obviously. and, you know, just avoiding avoiding going to like, hey, my audience says that I'm like a dark brooding man. Mm-hmm. I guess I'm dark reading man now. No, I think you're fa I think Phantom, your voice is woodlend to audiobooks so well. he would do so well. Thank you. That means a lot to me. No, I I definitely honestly you you actually your voice is along the lines of a lot of my favorite narrators. Like I would compare you to like J F Like J F Harding in that, or like like Ryan Lee Dunlap. You have that like kind of like golden retriever, but can go there if you need to, which is like so popular right now. And I feel like that that that's a good way to describe it, yeah. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. No, I love it. I I think you would be great, great, great. Okay. So what about you, Raven? Do you have any worries about that? I think honestly it's probably a little bit more stereotypical as a woman than as a female than it is as a male. So Yeah, I I knew when I started doing the audiobook stuff, I like I'm a dark romance reader, first and foremost. And that's what I really wanted to tap into. I already knew I'm like if I'm gonna be sitting behind a mic for hours and hours, like I want it to be content that I That I read and I can read and listen to. Right. So I kind of tried to brand, you know, I was formerly known as CK Michael and I was trying to brand that to be like, yeah, she does dark romance, like only dark romance. Those were the authors that I were following and reaching out to to try and do those narration excerpts as well. but now like with Audio Erotica, I I would love to do more darker stuff. I just have to write it. or or script fill it. But I'd like to think that there's just so much creative control and freedom that I I think I'd be fine either or doing like right now I'm recording my f my first audiobook, Agent in Flames by VS Christine and that's really exciting. And I met her before I was doing Audio Rodica. and she kinda knew that that was the journey that I was then taking in the background. Like on one end I've you know, we've been working together and trying to produce this audiobook, which we're doing a hundred percent Indie me and her. but then I was also really getting excited and learning about Audiorotica and I'm like, I I wanna do this. I wanna like start putting out audios. So I'm currently juggling both, which is a a fun time. But she knows that and I had checked in with her as the author and I said, Hey, just so you know, like my account is really taking this And it's, you know, I've now put MDNI in my bio. Like, I'm I'm doing some freaky shit. My content, you know, I post some freaky shit. Every Friday I post something a little bit freaky and I say, stay freaky, have a good weekend, love Raven, you know. I told her, I said, this is the direction that my account's taking. I'm rebranding to Raven, and I'm like, I'm gonna be doing NSFW predominantly. And I said, Is that okay with you? Totally understand if you want to find another narrator because you don't want that part of your branding. And she's just like what? Of course I still want you to do the book. Like it's comes down to the top. I it was a fair thing to say, to assume though. I mean I get it when she's like, No, I don't care, but like that's fair. I mean An author might not want to have their work associated with Audio Artica, but I think right now Closed door stuff. Yeah. It's like, ooh, taboo, like. Clean. It's yeah. Yeah, yeah. But this book, like Agent in Flames, like it's it's a spicy book, you know. But it's again, it's not Audio Erotica. It's gonna be so different. But I think right now there is this really beautiful it it is a really beautiful time where authors are now realizing that Audio Erotica VAs are actually incredibly talented, if not dare I say maybe a little bit more talented as well in in comparison. Like the range that an audio erotica VA can do, it's just I think people are only just now realizing, hold on, these guys are so talented. They can actually do more than just moan into a mic. You've got your really plot driven VAs as well. And if you listen to those, it's like, 100% they can do an audiobook. I think audiobook narrators are fantastic, but I just think AE VA's going into audiobook, it's a it's a really hidden gem. You know, we've seen it with we've seen it with Atlas as well. But also authors are realizing the audience that can come with that too, especially if the creator has a really established following and they're well versed within the space. Yep. Bringing that over to the romance audiobook space, people are realizing how powerful. I I know Addy's benefiting from that right now. I mean, with Chocolate, I mean like I mean If it wasn't with Atlas being on Chokehold, I now don't get me wrong, Chokehold is great. It's a great book. Daddy has done an amazing job. Wonderful story. It's a great story. Super fun, super fucking spicy. Loved the shit out of it. But let me tell you, I would have read it no matter what. But I know a lot of these girlies that would not have if Atlas wasn't involved. And that's not necessarily a good thing, but it is what it is. so 'Cause I mean, let's just be real, Lauren Beck is fucking amazing too. And all the props to her. But like I know that a lot of people have gravitated to this book because of Atlas. And that's been great for Addy. And, you know, we've got Silk Seduction coming out next and it's gonna be so good too. Like, I love that for her and I think that she is so smart to have gone down that road. And now we've got Danielle doing it, we've got Renna doing it, you know people are realizing. Like they're starting to get it. And I think I think it's definitely a good thing. Yeah. From what I can tell, the the dark romance space or really just the book space in general is expanding. You know, it it's it's a bigger and bigger market every year. actually when I have inside information about this. my my brother's fiance works at Barnes and Noble as a manager. And according to corporate, yeah, it's it's it's coming up. It's it's coming up. So it's something I really want to get into as well. It's it's it's an exciting field, I feel. And even the even the rom coms, I mean, even rom com girlies are I mean, that shit is spicy. I just finished a rom-com that will rival any dark romance anyway. And so, like it dar rom coms I mean, dark romance is is just the beginning. I love it. I think it's good. And again That's one of the reasons why B and I are doing this is because these two spaces could do so much for each other. Mm-hmm. And at the moment people from the AE are going into the dark romance because of But it's not going the other way. We want it to go the other way as well. Yeah. We want it we want the we want the book girls to come this way. They're starting to. I'd like to think they they're starting to trickle in. A lot of book talk and Quinn are very correlated with each other. And now there's so many quin scripts that are based off of like actual books that are out there. Yep. And I think that that's just a really special crossover that will happen more and more on the platform. I agree. I agree. Phantom, you're bilingual. So have you ever done exclusively expanish audios, which I think you said you had, and do you like to throw your little Spanish flair in your audios? I don't think I've done one that was completely Spanish. I I I feel like I I feel like I'm more comfortable doing a a bilingual one because I don't wanna like f I guess alienate most of my audience being English. Yeah. But I do try to like expand upon that when I can because there there is there is an audience there. actually just literally a minutes before minutes before we started I got a comment from somebody who said that they've been looking for like a an audio based on p Panama. and I'll talk about that more in second, but they were like, Wow, I can't believe I actually found something. And I was like, That's so cool. Like I I think that that makes my day a lot when people are like, you know, wow, something in Spanish, you're like, Wow, something that like mentions my culture. It's like, Yeah, yeah. That is so good. Mm-hmm. What I usually do is just I pepper some Spanish and some audios. Like if it if if I if I wrote the script or f if I'm like I have a segment script I like to pepper a bit of Spanish here and there. there are some that there's a lot of like Spanish phrases and lines. My most popular audio, what was it? you're too embarrassed, what if I don't say it in English? that one that's good. Hold on. That one is very popular. Swoony. And I'm like telling the listener like how what what they really want is they they well, they they w they want to get bred. They want to get pregnant. So I say that but in Spanish. And the and yeah. Okay. There's a There's a Spanish subreddit too. It's called Audiodgasmo. It's small but it's cool because I feel like that's an untapped market. People So we were that's that's kinda one of the things that we were talking about was like are there like markets for like other languages as far as I'm sure it's smaller, definitely, but like is that something that's starting up or like see. Absolutely, absolutely. There is speak Spanish exclusively or like speak a little bit of English there is there is definitely a market for it. And I like I'd like to see more of that representation in this space. I feel like it's a little lacking. And I feel like especially if you if you play your cards right, like yeah it's it's it's something that that can make you stand out a lot too. Mm-hmm. And who says you can't learn while listening to spicy things? Right, right, right. Like Spanish. Spicy does before. Make sure you understand what the word was before you repeat it anywhere else. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Learn Spanish with Phantom. He'll teach you all the dirty words first. Phantom does it in his Discord server. Yeah, yeah. it's a bit on a hiatus right now, but I actually teach folks on my Discord server like I do a little Spanish class every week or did for a minute. And it's fun, right? Like I I think I think that's another aspect of this that that's a lot of fun, like the community. Yeah. you know, I I ever creator does things differently. I will say hosting a community does take up a lot of time. It is. But nothing brings me joy quite like like seeing people, you know, just chat it up and have a time. you know, especially like after a long day of work or whatever. It's it's it's very wholesome. It's very nice. Yeah. Catching up the chaos is Always treat. Absolutely. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. I think B and our B and I are playing around with that. We really want to get more like authentic reactions from people to different audios and things like that. So we're playing around with like opening up our Discord to have like a react channel for people that 'cause we're like starting to tell everybody what we're gonna be listening to and just like let everybody kind of react. So we can be able to like Scream text like I do to kids. That that is fun. That is fun. I used to do that all the time. Like live reactions, live listens. And I I mean, you know, it's a little embarrassing 'cause it 'cause it's like you can't Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like I I've had mom I've had moments, I was I was with another creator, they they were doing a live listen and they messaged me like, Bro, how do you like process this? I'm like, man, I don't know. It it really makes you go like So this is where I am in life, huh? Well and you really have to s that's when you really have to separate yourself from the persona. Like you really have to kind of step outside of you know, Phantom to be that's just a person, you know. It's kind of like a disembodied experience. You're like that's not me. That's not me. I'm getting to hear all these people just go, how dare you? Yeah. We get angry, we get kinda aggro at our creators more than anything. B and I. That's made a phantom when he starts doing that and speaks Spanish. How dare you? That's a good way to get me to yellow. All of that. Okay, so we do have a thing called Bee's bizarre brain thoughts. So these are things that come from my best friend Bee's head that I don't even know. Okay. But we love her. So they're just little fun questions. Okay. What is your favorite swear word, Raven? I mean, I guess being Australian, like we swearing is just part of our like everyday vocabulary. But yeah, like probably fuck for me. I think people would expect me to say cunt, but Yes. Sorry. She wants you to say cunt real bad. Like, I'm not one of those Aussies where I'm just like like where you just throw cunt into every sentence. You're like, cunt, like, what do you mean? Like I'm not one of those. I don't know. But I do say fuck a lot. A lot. A lot. Yeah, I say fuck all the time. What a beautiful versatile word. It's so good. Yeah. So is that your favorite two fin? It is. It is, yeah. I mean it is. fuck. Fuck. Fuck. People people say I I say it like F A W K. And I'm like, why don't those are very popular in the book world. We love a good long drawn out fog. Yeah. But but but but see, I also like saying in Spanish too, right? Like it it's i this word is extremely versatile 'cause it it means pretty much anything you want it to mean. Right. Con yo. C O the N with like a little squiggly. Got the tilde on there. Yeah. Yeah. But it's not like conno, it's like con Yeah. You gotta say it right. Almost slip around the back of the head. It sounds like. Yeah, you gotta swing it like What is the matter with you? no. Yeah. Okay, what snack could you never live without Raven? fuck. Good question. okay. I don't know if you have them in the stack. I think so. Like red frogs? Do you guys have red frogs? Red frogs. Red frogs have a bell. What are red frogs? Fred red frogs are like they're like red frog lollies? Or candy, I guess. I don't know. Are they like are they like hard candy or gummies or chewy kinda soft like a snake like do you guys have liquidy inside. Do you guys do you guys have snake lollies? No. Everyone has snake lollies. Okay, so it's like a gummy. Yeah, yeah. It's it's by the the brand Allen's and they're just known for doing like all the lollies in Australia. candy, sorry. But yeah, there's these red frogs. And they're just Are they like spicy or are they what No, they're so sweet that my dentist is like, enough, please. Raven? I know what you've been eating. I yeah. or like just red licorice in general is kinda like twizzlers. Don't even get me started on Twizzlers. Yeah. Could consume I like I'm going to the States for the first time next month and I already know I have to like chain myself to a wall to not just You're gonna bring home a suitcase of Twizzlers. No, you're gonna be super customs like What is all this? What's all this now? Yeah. souvenir. Yeah. I know it's so annoying. Just to get a little souvenirs in the States is all. You take a couple. Just don't tell anybody about it. I like, what the fuck? Yeah. So red licorice, that's my answer. Yeah. What about you, old Phantom? Old Phantom Old Phantom old boy. I'm quite on partial to goldfish crackers. I don't really like junk food that much. I don't really like junk food. My my my landlady came by yesterday and she was like, Do you have any snacks? And I'm like No. No, I don't really I don't really eat junk food And she's like Who who who are you trying to look fine for? Like fine for? I just try to stay healthy But but no no I I love go fish crackers. I I don't even have them as much as I used to, but it was my favorite snack when was a kid. And like I'll get like one of the big cartons and just demolish that within a week. Yeah. The like big milk jug cartons. Yeah, the big like milk jug cartons. Yeah, yeah, you know what I'm talking about. If you were to wake up with an extra body part, which would you want? And it could be you could make one of things. It doesn't have to be an existing Yeah, it could be a made up body part. Raven. Raven. Raven. I feel like I'm like inclined to say wings 'cause Raven. but my brain instantly I was just like, another brain would do? And I'm like, is that a body part? No. Girl, that's a great brain. Double brain capacity. Like we're already running on two brain cells max a day over here, so you know, an extra unstoppable. Unstoppable. Unstoppable. So that's my answer. If that counts, I guess. It's a body part. That's my answer. All right, Phandom, what about you? Can't really think of a extra body part, but I'll tell you this, I could really do with another set of eyes, perhaps. You know, mine are no good. Hello instead of spider. Replace replacements. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. G get a newspaper. These are defective, I'm afraid. So have you al have you always had a visual vision impairment or was that Yes, yes. I was I was born I was born with it and like I guess for like a long time I I never really realized how much of a detriment that could be. 'cause you know, like you're a kid, you know what you're parents. Yeah, you're just born with it, yeah. But then like when you're an adult, you're like, I need to go to the grocery store. according to Google Maps, that would take me about two hours across several lanes of highway traffic and then I need to walk back with the groceries in hand no, this isn't gonna work. But guys are allowed to walk over highways. Well well. It's not necessarily suggested, but it's illegal to do so. You've got to do what you gotta do. Yeah. So the the only solution I have is to like use like a a grocery delivery service, which is more expensive. Obviously. Yeah. It's it's sort of like a a disability tax, a blind tax, if you will. Amen. Yeah, you have to you have to adapt, be resourceful, so like maybe I'll be like, Hey friend, are you going grocery shopping? Could you like do me a solid and do this for me and then I'll pay them like some extra, you know, cash or something? but not as For me it's milk. Order that it's always milk. Like if I make I can't make I make protein shakes and smoothies all the time and I'm like, crap, I'm out of milk again. Ugh But yeah, it's a lifelong thing. It's not so bad. It's one good thing that came out of COVID. I know it sounds like Yeah, having things be able to be delivered. Yeah, for sure. But things like that really helped people to like disable people. Yeah. People people were like, we don't have the technology or the capability to like do everything remotely. And then COVID forced everyone to be inside. And it's like, actually we do. It's like we do. And then suddenly we don't anymore. Yeah, yeah, no now like remote jobs are hard to find. thank God I was able to find one. And that that that's a miracle in itself. But like no even the the the federal government here in the States, we you know, a lot of a lot of those jobs have been taken away. And it's it's it's a huge shame for those with disabilities 'cause it's really the only way we can work. Yeah. I feel that's part of the reason why I mean like I obviously I I do love what I do tremendously in the space, but it has also helped support me in times when I had like nothing happening. Yeah. And like I th I talked about this before, but for some it's not just a hobby. You know, it it it actually like helps pay the bills when things are tough. I would give you new eyes if I could. My sister in law my sister in law is blind, was born blind as well, and so I have a lot of experience with, you know, just her. she actually worked at the Texas Commission for the Blind for a long time. wow. Yeah. So but yeah she's awesome. Yeah. She's retired now, but but yeah. I love that. It's very unf it's very hard for her to, you know, like you said, just two things. Luckily she has a a husband who, you know, goes grocery shopping and drives her everywhere and all that, but you know, not everybody has that. So Exactly. Yeah. You have to be really resourceful otherwise. Yeah. but No no th thank you thank you for sharing that actually that that makes me feel sane. good. I'm so glad. This one has tripped some people up, but we'll just go ahead with it. what is your favorite stationary item? Stationary item. Like an American office pen. American Officer Fly. Are we talking like like paper clips, paper whips? Pin posting. Not a knife. Not a knife. Not a knife. Okay. No, no, no. We're talking pens and shit. Not technical. I really like actually have one right next to me. Letter openers. fuck's sake. Because I know there's a story at edge there, but bear with me. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. There is nothing more satisfying than opening a letter with a letter opener. You know what? You're not wrong. You hook it, you hook it and then you go psh shh. It's so fucking satisfying. You should use that in an audio, that sound. Yeah, that sh yeah. yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. And Phantom Phantom how do we say letter opener in Spanish? Tell the class. Abrecarte. No, no. I can't I can't ask you to say things in Spanish. What I'm She just said dance must be and say letter opener in Spanish. Again. Stop, stop. If I'd have known you had such a Spanish kink, I would have been I'd have sent you a lot of stuff. Don't out me like this. But you out at yourself there even. I do know it's so funny. I god like when Phantom agreed to do soap and entitlement, like we were just chatting, like I had messaged him about doing the collab or if he was just even interested in collabing just in general. And I was like hey, like I script write as well. And he's like, Yeah, show me like so I sent him the link to soap and entitlement. So I didn't write that with anyone in mind in particular, but I'd sent it to him and it you know, obviously he was very lovely and he's like, I would love to do this. So that's how soap and entitlement was born. but I'm so upset because it was pre written. Then I got into a call with Phantom, then I discovered more of him and I'm like, my god, he speaks Spanish How dare I not incorporate some Spanish into this script? You're just gonna have to do another one. Now that I know, we're putting Spanish in that script. Excellent. I love it. What about you, Raven? Do have a favorite pen or Yeah, like I don't know, if I had to pick like just a good black Sharpie, I'm I don't know. I bake a lot and I'm always like riding on it with my Sharpie and yeah, I think I label things a lot. So probably like a black Sharpie would do. What toy or device from your childhood do you wish you still had today? I really thought that question was I know. I was like she she really she really took a long time to get the deform from your childhood and I was like Yeah, I was like, What toy My eyes were like Toy? goodness gracious. What was the like where do I begin? The question again. Yeah, yeah, I'm on the same page here. a a PSP of a PlayStation Portable. That was such a great little device. whatever. like you could do everything on there, you know, racing games, FPS, but you could like watch movies on it too. And you could you could even you can use Skype on it, which is just like a very like twenty tense tech. kind of thing. Just very like and it does Skype too. Like amazing. That's so the PSP was so ahead of its time. Like they need to It was like an iPad before the iPad. Yeah yeah the form factor was great. I love the it was it was just such a great device. I miss it. I miss those days. What about you right now? I did genuinely miss the question. Sorry. Toy from childhood? Sorry. Yes, what toy or device from your childhood? Yes. She was so stuck on top. for me it would be yeah, probably like electrical as well. Like my light pink Nintendo DS. I was an Animal Cross girly in in my childhood. I still love Animal Crossing. god, I wish I had time. yeah, I'd bring my my pink Nintendo with me. That was my play Nintendo You bet I did. Yes, ma'am. See I train them dogs. Training them dogs. Train them dogs. With the little stylus. Yes. I'd lost like tiny times stylus. Yeah. Did I lose my fucking stylus? But it was pink and I remember that. and we could take it to school as well. So if you pulled up to the playground with your Nintendo DS, it was kinda like it was a bit of a flex. So Looks great. Whereas I had a Game Boy that you couldn't even play in the dark because the technology wasn't there yet. Yeah. I mean This is before my time. Yeah, Phantom, you're a baby. Back in that. I lived in I lived in the era of translucent plastic everything. Love That was cool though. I had a I had a controller, Mad Cats controller. That was just Yeah, Madcats. Madcats, yeah. Okay. if the FBI were to look at your Google searches without knowing anything about you, what would they find and would they be worried? no. dear. dear. Both of you might I'm looking at my Google searches right now. I'm trying to see. dear. Hold on. No, I my stuff is like It's very like it's to do with I would say like sound and my script writing as well. So you're really Quickly replaced it. He's like clear, clear, sweet. So no, it's sorry go go ahead, Drew, go ahead. no, I I was just gonna say the last thing that I was Googling If if the FBI were looking through, at least my recent history. I'm writing a script where the she's on like a really bad date and the guy has like really nerdy specific knowledge on weather. I had to pick like a random I love that. I love weather. I had to pick like a Yeah, he's like a weather. I love I love that. I had to pick like Any any topic and I went through a few and then like what is it called? Like a barometer? Mm-hmm. Air pressure. Didn't know that. So that would be maybe a a little bit concerning in terms of how technical I had to go with my search results to get that to get that script to make sense, that very particular scene. Good one to come out. Okay, phantom. What did you clickety clack over there? Yeah, tell us. if they looked at my history, they think I'm some kind of No, I'm Clain, yeah. A business executive who's trying to trying to synergize with the current operations and maximize shareholder value through strategic partnerships with educational opportunities and resources available to those who are underserved in different communities across the United States. That is the longest search I've ever had in my life. No, no, no. Okay, this guy this this guy's this is a businessman. He's like misconstrued. What I got. I gotcha. I gotcha. He does. I gotcha. Okay. No, no, it it's it's all like searches related to business. I thought you were gonna say a businessman in a laundromat who wants to so Raven's saying all like Big CEO man. That's what I'm trying to be. That's what I'm trying to be. Yeah. Also CEO meets woman in a laundromat. Okay, guys. And so we definitely want to talk about your spaces, how people can, you know, consume your content. Raven go. Mm-hmm. at least right now, currently. I am mainly on Instagram. That is the easiest way to get to me as well if you ever have a a query. But that's where I will post most of my yeah, content, social media. but in terms of my audio erotica, that is only on Gone Wild Audio and its other counterparts as well. But that is all free and it's on Reddit just 'cause again I'm so early into it. currently that's where where you can find me. Get it while you can, 'cause it won't be much longer. Exactly, exactly. Phantom on the other hand, you know. yeah. I I got a whole spiel. hello, I am Phantom AudioWave. You can find me I I'm all over the place. I'm all over the place. So I have I have a website. I made it myself, very proud of it. and you can find all of my links there, but I am mainly posting things on Reddit. it's phantomaudiowave.com He's put so much effort into it. Like I haven't updated mine since I started doing AE, so but Phantoms is such an inspiration. It's fantastic. Yeah. It's fully built out so the contact form works. If you wanna send me a note, send me a message, please feel free to do so there. I am mainly on Reddit, and I have my master list on there too, so all of my stuff is there. I also have a Patreon too. And I'm a little behind on it, but I am catching up and so far so good. If you like some exclusive content, one where I play a lawyer, that one was really, really fun. and even some safe work Spanish content that I'm really proud of. You can find that there as well. Raven might like that. yeah. She might. She might. She might Phantoms Patreon, it's it's good. It's great value. Highly recommend. Yeah, we need to do that. We're collecting Patreons at the moment. We are collecting Patreons. Yeah. Yeah. You can also send me an email as an alternative. Same address. hello at phantom audio wave.com. Seriously, like I know we have been doing this for over two hours, actually probably close to three point. Love you guys. Thank you so much for hanging out and giving us so much of your time. We love you guys. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thanks. Thank you for having us on. You have anything coming up, anything that you would like for us to talk about, look listen, react, whatever we are always here to help put you in. Any extra things to the mood? Actually I do have one thing. Do it. Plug it. I'm gonna plug it. it's an audio called Guided by Touch. Have you seen it? With a promo for it, perhaps. I think I did, actually. Yeah. Is it part of the disability? Yes, yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. In I look incredibly proud of that one. because it's inclusive. Yeah, yeah. I mean I looked at a what I I would say wrong. GWASI, GWASI. It's like a little search engine tool. Yeah. and I think there's only like maybe eighteen l visually impaired focused audios. And many of them are f from like many years ago. So it's like there is there's so little content in this space, you know? but I I'm I I feel like it's it's like you know, which is an item opus. You'd think that it would be something to that would be more catered to. Like, especially I know a lot of disabilities don't get but surely it should have a bigger No, I think the community's learning for sure. I think it's definitely getting better at being more inclusive for your more vulnerable in in this space. what Phantom does as a creator, I mean I've told him a thousand times, I think it's so incredibly special and powerful to be able to be a platform for these people as well. And that's why like I love in the promo art for soap and entitlement, I was like to the artist, I said, Can you add a cane like near the little Washing machine. I just think it's so important and so special and that audio is really, really meaningful in this space too. And I love everything that he's doing about bringing awareness to it as well. Because audios should be more inclusive. And where is this audio available? So so this one, there's a collaboration with Valentina Valley and with the Dex Collective. So it yeah, I'll I'll I can send the link forward. It is a little A little hard to find, but I'll send you the link directly. Okay. And I'd love if you could, you know, just I will add it to our group therapy next week. B we'll have it on group we'll have it on group therapy next week. Thank you. That means a lot to me. Yeah. Really does. That's no, that's pfft that's easy. It'll be fun. I love that. Yes, yes. I can't wait. And yeah, so if you have like if you ever have anything like that that you guys I and I'm already you know I'm waiting on You know what I'm waiting on, Raymond. I'm waiting for my years. Here's my own. soon as I get that, that's going on group therapy too. so we're yeah, we're starting something new. We're kind of phasing out the blind react because it just kind of limits how much we can talk about. because we can only talk about one thing when we do that. So we're kind of phasing that out and we're gonna just pick, you know, a number of audios per week to talk about. So we're gonna go with. So Great way to do So that'll be next. Right after we get done with this interview, we will move into group therapy where we're gonna talk about like five, six, seven, eight audios, I think. And one of them will be soap and entitlement. We will be yapping about that and hopefully get lots of listeners for that for you guys. And yeah. I'd love to know what they think. Appreciate you guys so much. So thank you so much, Phantom and Raven. You guys are both so super talented. I'm excited. Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you. All right, guys. We love you and we will get out of here and we'll see you next time. See you next time. See you next time. Bye. Adios. Well, we hoped you enjoyed the interview with Raven and Phantom. We absolutely loved having them on. They're so sweet and so talented. And I hope you guys all found a new creator. To go and listen to because we think they're both amazing. so this is our first week of group therapy. We have decided to retire the we'll still do them every now and then, but we've decided to retire the weekly blind react just because it doesn't allow us to look at or talk about as many audios as we as we would like to. So we want to be able to focus on more creators, getting you guys more recommendations, and talking about more audios than just kind of one per week. So We're gonna do group therapy. We're gonna pick our favorite drops from the week. We're gonna listen to them and then kind of talk to you about them. And then also, we would love at some point for you guys to listen with us, you know, on your own time and send us any comments, questions, anything like that that we can go over during group therapy. So we have let's see, we have Five audios that we listened to this week, and then I had one that B didn't listen to, and B has one that I didn't listen to. So we'll talk about those separately as well. So we'll just go down the list. this first audio is kind of special for B and I. Jess Devreaux, Jess Rides Smut, is the writer of the Innkeeper with the amazing. Theo Davy Cummerford, we both love him too. He's so fun and it's such a his Instagram is just such a joy. Like it's such a light. he's so amazing. And he always makes me smile. He always makes us laugh. And I just love him so much. But this is actually written by our friend Jess. And we love Jess. We met her through some other friends. And Her writing is just phenomenal. We've listened to her poetry. I just, I love Jess's writing. It's so beautiful. Stunning. It's stunning. So let's go over this. It's called The Innkeeper. And it is give you just a few tags to kind of go over the story with you. it's about 35 minutes. It's a little bit, it's it's a long one. Not terribly long, but you know, it's longer than some. we have Strangers to Lovers, Shy to Confident, Slow Burn, Nervous, which definitely applies. consent, lots of consent, lots of check-ins, lots of praise. This one is lots of body worship. I'm and the shy to confident. Wow. Wow. Did that happen? Very good. Did that happen real quick and so well done. Yeah, and he even explained and she even like made him made it explained in the audio, which was so cool, I thought, because yeah, I think it might have thrown you off a little bit f for his personality to change so quickly. But the way that he explained it and the way that she wrote it, it totally made sense. I I just ugh it was so good. Just the whole c that whole consent conversation was just Perfect. It was beautiful. It was beautiful. And before that, before that, like just like the kind of lead up, you know, she's checking into this little country inn that, you know, is out of the way. And, you know, we have Davy as the innkeeper who is this kind of shy, unassuming guy. But this is just some of the things that she said in this audio. that really resonated with me was he asked the listener why they were there and why they came to this to this inn. And going somewhere no one needs anything from you, like it's just so fucking insightful and so just dead on for a lot of people. Like That's something that I think a lot of moms deal with. being lonely while sitting beside someone. that line fucked me off. S again, so relatable. Something that I think so many women can identify with. I just I love her. And the language I mean, Jess writes poetry. We know she writes poetry, but the language that she uses is so poetic and lyrical and beautiful and The way that Davy delivers her language is just And even with him being like this nervous mess of a guy, he still manages to make the delivery so beautiful and so like vulnerable and real and it's just it's so it's so cool. It's so pretty. Honestly, I was in the story. I was just I if I didn't have my writing thing, I would have forgotten. Gotten what the point of the audio was. I the st it was just the story and the birds and the fireplace. The background music when they're eating dinner. Mm. I mean, this might just be the fact that I watched Gilball Girls way too much. But I was like in the firefly. Well I was The Firefly? my god. I didn't even think about that. Yes. Yes. It was so in their little dining room in the Firefly. Yeah. A hundred percent. It was incredible. It was just so immersive and so gorgeous. Just the way Jess is able to like using consent as that visual aid in order to for us to know that he's taking off her top and kissing her in places and turning her around. Which is cool. And it doesn't stop. Like that condomicide. Yeah. I want to make sure you're properly taken care of. I know. I mean I know. What can you say to that? It was so it was like the only thing in existence. It He blew me away. Yeah, and then there's those there were those few little moments where you were like you could see a different type of audio and you were like Hmm, maybe I should be Get on your on your I was like Okay What I was so like that little switchy part and you're like Mm We may need to go in a back catalog here. We know Jess has been writing for a while. We know Jess writes, but for this to be how she comes on to the Quinn scene is just I'm so fucking proud of her and I'm so happy for her and this is just It's just un she's it was beautiful. Unbelievable writer. Just Unbelievable. She's very much got her own signature. Like a hundred percent. When you hear audios, you will be able to say, this is a Jess audio. Yeah. And also there's a maturity to her language. Yes. Yeah. There's a grown ass woman feel to Jess's stories. Yes. And to her language. And I love that. I absolutely love that. So yeah, I'm looking so forward to whatever. comes from her. I just I love the way she writes. I love Jess. She's awesome. Okay. So we absolutely loved the innkeeper. We absolutely recommend that you go out and listen to it. I'm gonna read you a couple of comments from Quinn just to give you an idea of what the ladies be saying. And this is so true. The way this audio made me go from emotional to feral in speed of light and yeah like literally a light switch. Jess and Davey, truly the dynamic duo. The script was so deliciously good, along with this adorcable VA. The audio is so good and worth a listen. I'm super proud of these two. Amazing job. Amen. I agree. Loki want to travel to a small inn and get lucky. Thank you, sir. This was delicious. A lot of people in here who know Jess. Absolutely loved this from the sweet, shy, slightly awkward start, which is just so you, to the growly dominance, to the amazingly sweet aftercare. If as I gather from other comments, this is your first script, Jess, it was brilliant and a really good choice to let Davey bring it to life. I can't wait to hear more. I love that. And that's from someone who doesn't know Jess. So I love that, you know? obviously we're a little biased. We know Jess, we love her as a person. We she's a friend of ours, but but we we do love her writing and we have talked about it before. and I d I think everyone's I've already said that. That language, I mean, I think Jess is in a unique position of being the perfect writer for both of us because not only is she wordy. But she's also very emotional with her wordies. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. And again, I think it's also just a language thing. Like she knows how to speak to women of a certain age, women of a certain place in their life. I don't know. I just I think she's she just really hits home with both of us. So this was great. I enjoyed it, loved it. so we both Definitely recommend the innkeeper. the next one is s safer work. It is something that anyone can go and listen to. it was a surprise that I did not expect to get this week, and I immediately messaged B and I was like, my god, you have to listen to this. We geeked out so hardcore on it. so tell us a little bit about what's next, B. It's called Benedict the Lover and it's by Flynn on his Patreon. Our boy Flynn. And it's obviously safe for work. He's teaching a class about Shakespeare. About much ado about nothing. And I I mean, I was immediately in his DMs like, what the fuck? Yeah. I need more of this, please. He is what a Shakespeare teacher should sound like. A hundred percent. Because he actually like loves the loves it and understands it. And the way that he explains it is so one of the quotes. When they have a general vibe of get a room already. Exactly. Which is so true because like That's exactly what's happening when that goes on. Everybody was just like, we're so tired of watching you guys fucking argue and act like you don't want to s you know, be with each other, just fucking get a room already. And it's so perfect the way he described it. It's so good. You get lost in it. You do get lost in it. Yeah. I mean, it's 12 minutes long. I could have listened for an hour. I I I told I immediately messaged him and said, more please, more please, more please. Now I won't spoil the surprise, but there is a there is a surprise from Flynn in this one that I don't think anyone will be expecting. And this one is on his Patreon. So gotta go get on P Flynn's Patreon, guys. It's great. Honestly, like there's tons of stuff on Flynn's Patreon. It's really great. I highly recommend it. He puts out content. He puts out a lot of content. He's such a so good at just talking about things in a way that you can understand and also making it very relatable at the same time. Like he's so good at that. and it's just it's super it's it was a super fun listen. And like I said, I immediately messaged B and was like, listen to this right now, you're gonna love it. This is this was a great little little side quest for the week, which was so fun. And next we are talking about our guests for the week, which was Raven and Phantom. Raven Vo and Phantom Audio Wave. they did a little audio together that is on Reddit, and it is called Soap and Entitlement, which is Once you listen to it, the best title ever. This was so fun. It was it was so fun. It was so fun. And especially now that we've talked to both of them, just the acting that they did in this, because Phantom is genuinely one of like the nicest people I've ever met. But his the care his character in this audio is absolutely a complete dick. He is a white He's terrible. An absolute tosspot of the highest order. Tosspot, exactly. Exactly. he's very condescending. He is a CEO Chad who you just want to like punch in the face. Yeah. He is this like jerk CEO entitled just Ugh, just want to like slap him. Yeah. also this is written by Raven and edited by Raven. She's amazing. This girl can do it all. So they're basically arguing over a dryer, I think is what it boils down to. They're in a laundromat. Like there's only there's only one working dryer. the dryer is out of order. Yeah, there's only one working dryer. So they're both trying to use the one working dryer and it's a not a meat cute, but like a meat hate. Yeah. They definitely do not like each other. The banter is so good between these two. Like they are so like sharp with each other. The little jabs that they pass back and forth are great. The actual spicy parts of this were very Pleasing to the ear, I would say. I was very, very happy with the levels of wet. I'm gonna need to find a better way of saying that. It doesn't really it's not as really as big of an i an issue for me, but I definitely notice a difference. I notice immediately I'm like, B's gonna be totally fine with this, you know? And I don't think it takes anything away from the experience, you know, of it being a little bit less in the mic. but everybody's different. Like we've said, everybody has their own preferences. So good. What did you think about it? Especially after hearing them talk about like their sound editing a little bit speechless. I just love I just it it was a ma it was so good. It was good. It was excellent. It was really, really good. they're both so passionate about sound and about creating immersive audio and about painting a picture with their sound effects and dialogue and voices. they're just both really committed to the craft of making these audios. And so you can really tell when you listen. So if there's one audio that is not on Quinn that we really think you guys should seek out, it would definitely be soap and entitlement. Super great. It is on Reddit on Ravens Reddit. It's on Phantom and Phantom also has a Patreon, it's on his Patreon. It's really great. So definitely recommend soap and entitlement. It's a super fun 20 minutes and you will laugh. I promise. You will you will laugh. I promise. So now speaking of laughing. The next one are we talking about this one? Are we talking? Are we talking about get fucked? Get fucked. Okay, cool. I I like So B and I are pretty frequent flyers now in the at in Atlas's Discord in the Stargazers. We love the Stargazers. and I'm not sure how this came up, but I think someone was talking about this audio. They were talking about it in in a channel in a chat. That's an about how Two nicknames came about. Correct. Correct. And so B was like, I need to listen to this. I need to go check this out. And so she goes and starts it. And B's like, you need to go listen to this audio. And I was like, okay. She's like, you're gonna laugh your ass off. It's so fucking good. Blah blah blah blah. I was like, okay. So this audio is on Magic Wave, it is in three parts. It is called Get Fucked. It is written by Lark, who we love. and this is some top notch fucking writing, y'all. I I just I cannot even stress this enough. Got to listen to this. And I'm sure a lot of you have already listened to this because it has been out since January, I think. So we're a little behind on this one. But if you haven't listened to this, my god, go run. Run and go now. Stop calling me Brad. we have Dolph, who is absolutely insanely hilarious in this audio. we have Dr. Rapture, we have Atlas, we have Flynn, and we have Lux VA, all favorites of the show. I don't even know. It's like it's like the dating game, but Or blind date for you British. Yeah, blind date. Yeah, blind date, but for casual It's not really a date. So much as wins gets to be the listener's fuck buddy. It's in three parts. someone gets eliminated in every part for various reasons. The commentary, the jokes, the sarcastic craziness. B said this so well, it's like I forgot I was listening to porn, and that's exactly like I forgot. But there is absolutely spice in all three episodes. There is absolutely spice, but it's so funny. It's so well written. They very clearly had the fucking time of their lives. yeah. Yeah. And what a great group too. Like just People who just are so like perfect together. There was amazing sound work in this, like, you know, crowd noises and clapping. Doing those crowd noises. Because they were background not like stock. Background like game show music and I mean, just it was it was perfection. It was so good. So here we'll just read a couple of the tags here. dating competition, so show campy sexy satire contestants interview round blindfolds brad Kyle I love that they use Brad and Kyle as I completely forgot about Kyle and Kyle Kyle gotta yeah Kyle was great geek to freak my god countdown my god go fuck yourself so good y'all it's so freaking good I just cannot say enough good things about this audio. I mean I'm definitely probably gonna be listening to it again quite soon. Yeah, yeah, honestly, it it's one that you can definitely that is definitely a re-listen. Yeah, it's one to listen to when you've like had a really shit day. Yeah, yeah. And you just need to block the week and get fucked. Yep. You just need a good laugh. Definitely Go for get fucked. And I believe each part is like twenty minutes, maybe. So it's maybe like an hour total with all three parts. worth it. Worth every fucking second. Absolutely bananas in the best way. I I loved it. Loved every fucking second of it. It was so good. Definitely, definitely, definitely. If you haven't listened to get fucked, listen to get fucked. You have to. And then you have to message me and be and tell me all tell us all about it. We are perfectly happy with a running commentary too. We need commentary. We want to hear running commentaries. Well and you know that's that's part of group therapy. You know, if you if you need to share and you need to get it out or you need to talk about how pissed you are about how good these VAs are at this stuff, you just you just let me and V know we're here for you. 'Cause we're mad too. Sometimes I've screamed fuck off to a VA. Sometimes fuck off literally to them while I'm listen. So next on the list. Okay, so Wednesday when this teaser dropped, B and I went collectively insane. So you're telling me that Atlas is doing He's okay. An audio with D as a subject matter. We like that. We're nerds, okay? We love a good DD. We love a dice game. We love a tabletop game. We love anything fantasy. Your girls were pumped to say the least. So excited. Everyone was excited. This audio was so cute. we do have a little cameo from Axel Audl as the DM. I love But the audio in itself, the story was adorable. Got a little friends to lovers, like a lot of like little nerdy Easter eggs. But you don't have to be a nerd to love critical role. You do not have to be a nerd to love critical role. also just want to say this is written by Whimsy, edited by Dex, both of whom did an insane job. This the the sounds in this one were so fun. and the script was amazing. B tell us about some of your comments. Okay, so at the beginning, I'm kicking my feet and giggling at this audio. Same. I'm only at the fucking kissing, Kim. The gibberish. A blah blah blah blah blah. He just goes a blah blah blah blah blah. There were so many like adorcable moments in this one where you were Where he, you know, we all know Atlas is great at being adorable. Like his character was super nervous and, you know, just kind of stumbling over his words and making bad like nerd jokes. And it was just ugh. And then the switch. fuck the switch. Fuck the binaural. What is happening? Demon boy has descended. Help. Swat could tell me to jump off a bridge and I would seriously consider it. Yeah. Yeah. We're very lust of it. I mean it's perfect. Ha ha ha ha ha. I'm dead. It it is pretty perfect, especially for people like us who are huge nerds. And there were some really sweet moments in this audio too. Accidental love confession. That I think I think that is my cryptonite as well. The accidental love confession. Yeah, it was it was really good. So yeah, definitely check out Critical Role. It's it's gonna be it's gonna be a classic. It's gonna be and incidentally, this was Atlas's fiftieth audio. So congrats to you, Atlas. On your fiftieth audio. That's amazing. Very good. It's very big deal. Very big deal. So congrats to you, sir. That is all of our Joint listens for the week. My solo listen this week was The Asset by Peaches. This is a collab with Julius King, which I've who I've never heard before and super enjoyed. Written by Jeannie, edited by Dex. You're at like a I think it's like a like a gala or like a like a charity event. And somehow it comes to light that you are in danger. Of either being abducted or harmed in some way. And so you are removed from this unsafe situation by Peaches and also Julius at some point and taken to a safe house. And the point of the rest of the audio at that point is to help you relax after such a stressful situation. I wonder how they do it. I mean very well, to be honest. Very well. someone gave you some tags here. Orgasms of stress relief, if that wasn't implied. consent, praise, body worship, light biting, on the couch, check ins. I mean, yeah. It's a good one. Mission accomplished is the last tag. So mission accomplished. The banter between Peaches and Julius was great. There was a little bit of a competition vibe, but also a work together for the listener vibe. super fun. Lots of giggly moments. I just I really enjoyed it. yeah, and this this comment from a listener. my face has never betrayed me out in public so much as it did with this audio. Absolutely diabolical. And I can agree with that. This is not one you can keep a straight face. Don't try to listen to this one in the grocery store. Don't try to listen to it at work. Don't try to listen to it anywhere, but where by yourself. Just take it from me. Someone said insert scene where Nick meets Prince on New Girl. If you know you know swoon. And that is absolutely A hundred percent accurate. So yes, Poppy Flynn, whoever you are, great job. You did that's perfect. it's it's super cute, super fun. It is lighthearted, it is just a good time. Definitely recommend the asset if you have not listened to the asset. Very good. So, what did you listen to, Dee? I listen to I hate the way I don't hate you. It was so good, Kim. I know, and I and I'm the one that told you to listen to it and I didn't even listen to it. I'm so mad at myself. You haven't listened to it, have you? No, I haven't listened yet. I'm going to. I wanted to do this first before I went back and listened to it. So Okay. Well it's written by Lauren Devora and it's an MF. So it stars Miles Cross and Behold the Beauty. Not heard her before. Absolutely love her. Mm-hmm. Love her. Tags are teachers. Inspired by ten things I hate about you. Flirty. Banta. So much banter. Such good banter. Love it. Hold the moan against the desk. Speaking French. I heard about that. Damn it. Yeah. Mm. Moaning, praise, emotional, bilingual, and cliffhanger. There are two parts. The first part is on Miles's profile. And the second one is on Behold the Beauty's profile. It says guest appearance by hydrated baritone. So Barry's there. Also, improv by Miles and Behold the Beauty. There is improv in there. Mm-hmm. Which is Love that. He makes a French joke at some point, and I will not tell you what it is because it's funny as fuck. I've just swore. I love how natural it is. It was just the relationship between the two teachers. It was just absolutely incredible. It was written so well. The French was obviously gorgeous. Also, I wrote, This will be interesting. Holy fuck! That twist. is there a twist? Hmm, we love a twist. It's so good. I can't wait. Just love those messages. Okay. Well, that is all of our audios that we listened to. No, I mean all the audios that we were talking about for the week. That's that's a good list. we are gonna come out with our list for next week's show. I'm gonna try to put we're gonna try to put a list out on Wednesday because most teasers for Friday drop on Wednesday. So we should have a good idea of what all's gonna be out by Wednesday. So we'll try to drop our group therapy graphic on Wednesdays. That should give everybody enough time to give it a listen. Send us your comments if you want to comment on an audio that's on the list. If you want to yell at your favorite VA about something they did in one of these audios. No, tell just send it to us. Don't actually yell at them. Just send it to us and we'll yell at them. And let us know if you enjoy us talking about more audios rather than, you know, keeping it to the blind react. I think it just gives us an opportunity for us to kind of give you guys more stuff to listen to and talk about. So I think We need it needs to be said how absolutely blown away B and I have been from the response to the Echo and Obsidian Live, the Atlas episode in general. You guys have all been so incredibly kind. I we are speechless. Not neither one of us Do not know how to process. Neither one of us is You guys are amazing. This is our fifth episode. This I mean, like literally, we we are blown away. We are so grateful and we hope that you enjoy what we're putting out there. I know you guys are gonna love Raven and Phantom. I'm so excited to introduce them to anyone who doesn't know them. Go check them out, give them some support, and thank you guys for your support. We love you. Bye.
