The Season with Peter Schrager: Annual Schrager/Daniel Jeremiah Mock Draft · NFL explained.

• 0:07
Speaker 1: The Season with Peter Scheger is a production of the
• 0:09
Speaker 1: NFL in partnership with iHeartRadio. What's Up, Everybody, Welcome to
• 0:25
Speaker 1: the Season with Peter Schrager. We are now a week
• 0:28
Speaker 1: away from the NFL Draft. I put my first NFL
• 0:31
Speaker 1: draft out on Tuesday morning, got a ton of responses
• 0:35
Speaker 1: from the league, meaning that I tried shaking things up.
• 0:38
Speaker 1: I put Hendon Hooker going eleven. I had the Colts
• 0:41
Speaker 1: and the Texans doing a rare intra division trade. I
• 0:44
Speaker 1: had all sort of the crazy stuff happening, and really
• 0:47
Speaker 1: my goal was to be as accurate as possible with
• 0:49
Speaker 1: the first mock draft, but that's impossible because the teams
• 0:51
Speaker 1: don't even know what they're doing it. But it was
• 0:52
Speaker 1: to start getting conversations going with teams. I think Seattle
• 0:56
Speaker 1: at five is fascinating. I think there's a very good
• 0:58
Speaker 1: chance that both Anthony Richardson and Jalen Carter are both
• 1:01
Speaker 1: can be available at five. I think they are both
• 1:03
Speaker 1: very high up on the board. Fascinated to see what
• 1:06
Speaker 1: Seattle does at five. Stroud to Houston is a big
• 1:10
Speaker 1: topic right now. Is it a smoke screen that they're
• 1:13
Speaker 1: not interested in Stroud that I've heard that quite a bit.
• 1:16
Speaker 1: Or is that just them trying to take the scent
• 1:18
Speaker 1: off things, or is that Demiko Ryans, who is a
• 1:20
Speaker 1: defensive coach who comes from the forty nine ers who
• 1:22
Speaker 1: have not relied on a quarterback to lead them in
• 1:25
Speaker 1: the last few years. It's been Jimmy Garoppolo and Brock
• 1:28
Speaker 1: Purdy and Trey Lance, and they've been having quite a
• 1:30
Speaker 1: bit of success. And it wasn't because of the quarterback position.
• 1:33
Speaker 1: It's because of all the other positions of strength, and
• 1:35
Speaker 1: because you can draft a guy like Bosa second overall
• 1:38
Speaker 1: and have Deebo Samuel as a second round pick, and
• 1:41
Speaker 1: you go right down the line, and I wonder if
• 1:45
Speaker 1: the Stroud stuff is, you know what, we'll roll with
• 1:48
Speaker 1: Davis Mills, or we'll use a quarterback in the second
• 1:51
Speaker 1: round or at the twelfth pick, or maybe we trade
• 1:53
Speaker 1: back from twelve and get another quarterback at the end
• 1:56
Speaker 1: of the first round, whatever it is. I think Houston
• 1:58
Speaker 1: is fascinating a ton of vitriol in my timeline and
• 2:02
Speaker 1: also on my text from people around the league who
• 2:05
Speaker 1: I trust be and like, there would be no chance
• 2:07
Speaker 1: in hell that Houston would ever trade the two pick
• 2:11
Speaker 1: to the Colts because God forbid, they pass on CJ.
• 2:16
Speaker 1: Stroud and he's amazing, and that happens all the time.
• 2:18
Speaker 1: Look like, you know how many teams passed on Mahomes
• 2:21
Speaker 1: and Trubisky was the Bears quarterback and you heard about that,
• 2:25
Speaker 1: and oh my god. But imagine facing CJ. Stroud twice
• 2:29
Speaker 1: a year, knowing you passed on him, and you gave
• 2:30
Speaker 1: the pick to the intradivision team. So I think that's
• 2:33
Speaker 1: probably right. I'll adjust it as we go, but I
• 2:36
Speaker 1: had to shake the tree a little bit. Had to
• 2:38
Speaker 1: do a little bit of that to get some things
• 2:40
Speaker 1: going with conversations. I had Jonathan Mingo going to the
• 2:43
Speaker 1: Saints late in the draft, I think twenty ninth was
• 2:47
Speaker 1: where they pick, and the response around the league was like,
• 2:49
Speaker 1: how the hell do you have Mingo going in the
• 2:51
Speaker 1: first round? And damn you for having Mingo going in
• 2:54
Speaker 1: the first round, meaning that you know a lot of
• 2:56
Speaker 1: teams were hoping to see if he would still be
• 2:58
Speaker 1: there in the second round, or maybe a team wanted
• 3:01
Speaker 1: to take them and trade back into the first round.
• 3:03
Speaker 1: I think Jonathan Mingo, if I was over under based
• 3:06
Speaker 1: on the response I got, I would say under the
• 3:09
Speaker 1: fifty overall, and right now he's being discussed the third
• 3:12
Speaker 1: round pick, so fifty would mean he's at the start
• 3:15
Speaker 1: of the second round whatever it is, you know, fifteen
• 3:18
Speaker 1: picks into the second round. I think he'll go in
• 3:21
Speaker 1: that range based on the response I got there, Bears
• 3:25
Speaker 1: fans not thrilled that I had them going with Christian
• 3:28
Speaker 1: Gonzalez over the local product Devin Weatherspoon or over a
• 3:32
Speaker 1: offensive line pick. I just feel like Christian Gonzales the
• 3:36
Speaker 1: top ten pick, and I feel like the Bears are
• 3:37
Speaker 1: going to be looking at him and they might be
• 3:39
Speaker 1: taking him to add him to their already young, stout
• 3:43
Speaker 1: defensive backfield. I love this stuff. I love all the responses.
• 3:47
Speaker 1: Will Levis thing is it's a mind bender for me
• 3:52
Speaker 1: because I've also heard if Stroud's off the board, he's
• 3:55
Speaker 1: the guy for Indianapolis, so that means he can go
• 3:57
Speaker 1: as high as fourth overall. I mean that means that
• 4:00
Speaker 1: he can go fourth overall. When I say I heard it,
• 4:02
Speaker 1: it's not from Chris Ballard the GM. That's from someone
• 4:05
Speaker 1: in the agent community who's basically a third or fourth
• 4:08
Speaker 1: line of you know, you're doing the Kevin Bacon exercise
• 4:12
Speaker 1: where it's the connections to a team. It's just everyone
• 4:15
Speaker 1: is talking and it's you know, I got multiple phone
• 4:19
Speaker 1: calls yesterday and me picking up the phone and the
• 4:21
Speaker 1: phone call being hey, let's just talk about your mock draft,
• 4:24
Speaker 1: which I love, and that's from gms around the league.
• 4:27
Speaker 1: So that was a ball of clay. A lot of
• 4:30
Speaker 1: it was being thrown a little bit at the wall,
• 4:32
Speaker 1: but it comes with good information and then we hope
• 4:34
Speaker 1: to really chisel it down as we get towards next week.
• 4:38
Speaker 1: Today's podcast is an annual tradition for me. It's before
• 4:41
Speaker 1: I even had a podcast. We did this on Zoom
• 4:43
Speaker 1: and we aired it on the NFL network and then
• 4:45
Speaker 1: for years I would come on the move the sixth podcast.
• 4:49
Speaker 1: It is a thing that I want to call What's
• 4:51
Speaker 1: Up Doc? Can We Mock? And that's an old food
• 4:53
Speaker 1: That was an old Foo Schnicken song that Shaq was
• 4:56
Speaker 1: What's up, Doc? Can We Rock? This one is gonna
• 4:58
Speaker 1: be What's Up, Doc? Can We Mock? And it's with
• 5:00
Speaker 1: my guy, Daniel Jeremiah. I think he's the premiere draft
• 5:03
Speaker 1: expert in the world. It's him and Mel Kuiper and
• 5:06
Speaker 1: then it's everybody else. I love this guy. I think
• 5:09
Speaker 1: he's incredible. If you don't know Daniel, his background is
• 5:13
Speaker 1: a He was a scout for many years. I believe
• 5:16
Speaker 1: it was Baltimore, Cleveland, and then he got into to
• 5:20
Speaker 1: the TV game. It started his own thing, started his
• 5:22
Speaker 1: own Twitter feed called at Move the Sticks, and I
• 5:26
Speaker 1: was turned on to him by Adam Shine, who you
• 5:28
Speaker 1: now see Adam Shine. Shine works for CBS and WFM,
• 5:33
Speaker 1: but Shine would tweet at him, and I was turned
• 5:35
Speaker 1: on to him by I guess like twenty twelve to thirteen.
• 5:39
Speaker 1: Eventually started doing stuff with the NFL network, and I'll
• 5:41
Speaker 1: put him up against anybody. He's a great dude. We
• 5:44
Speaker 1: have a great friendship. We've got to know each other
• 5:46
Speaker 1: really well, our families really well. And I trust his
• 5:50
Speaker 1: stuff more than anyone. So what we're gonna do is this,
• 5:53
Speaker 1: one of us is gonna take the odd numbers, the
• 5:54
Speaker 1: other one's gonna take the even numbers. We're gonna rip
• 5:56
Speaker 1: through a mock draft and it's almost like speed chess.
• 5:59
Speaker 1: We're gonna have thirty seconds on the clock, maybe a
• 6:01
Speaker 1: little more. Maybe we can digest some of these picks.
• 6:04
Speaker 1: If something shocking and he comes at it with a
• 6:08
Speaker 1: view of the scout perspective, but also he's plugged in.
• 6:11
Speaker 1: Trust me, DJ's plugged in. He might play it like
• 6:13
Speaker 1: I just this is just my big board. He's plugged in,
• 6:16
Speaker 1: and I'm coming at it as here's what I think
• 6:19
Speaker 1: makes sense for that team. We'll get Daniel Jeremiah on
• 6:22
Speaker 1: the pod in about a second. Until then, get your
• 6:26
Speaker 1: mock boards out, get your big boards out, put yourself
• 6:29
Speaker 1: on the clock. I want you to play along with us.
• 6:31
Speaker 1: How would you do it if you were in these shoes,
• 6:34
Speaker 1: if you're listening on a treadmill, if you're listening on
• 6:36
Speaker 1: a commute, if you're listening before you go to bed.
• 6:38
Speaker 1: Hopefully you stay up for long enough for this, play
• 6:41
Speaker 1: along with us. Put yourselves in the shoes of these teams.
• 6:43
Speaker 1: And then when it's all done, Aaron, Aaron Wan Kaufman
• 6:46
Speaker 1: is on the mics. Aaron, we'll have a chance to
• 6:50
Speaker 1: digest all of it. We'll be able to go through
• 6:51
Speaker 1: it one through thirty one. You're keeping track, right.
• 6:54
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I got it all set up for us.
• 6:56
Speaker 1: All right, beautiful. We might give you an opportunity. You
• 6:58
Speaker 1: might pick a random team in Aaron, you can draft
• 7:00
Speaker 1: for him and just set this thing out put handon
• 7:05
Speaker 1: hooker number three overall, unless just have fun, let's get
• 7:08
Speaker 1: it go on. Daniel Jeremiah, what's up, doc hem we
• 7:10
Speaker 1: mock Let's go home. As I said in the introduction,
• 7:19
Speaker 1: I love no draft expert more than this guy. And
• 7:21
Speaker 1: he's also happens to be a great friend. And this
• 7:24
Speaker 1: is an annual tradition. Daniel Jeremiah aka Move the Sticks.
• 7:27
Speaker 1: Welcome to the season with Peter Scheger.
• 7:29
Speaker 2: What's going on, buddy?
• 7:31
Speaker 1: All is great. We were on a show called Mock
• 7:34
Speaker 1: Draft Live yesterday on the NFL Network and you were
• 7:37
Speaker 1: very civil, very kind. And then I was watching some
• 7:39
Speaker 1: other show that they had you on Path to the
• 7:41
Speaker 1: Draft and the hosts and well, Danian, Tomlinson and Matthew
• 7:44
Speaker 1: Judan are all tearing my my mock draft apart. But you,
• 7:48
Speaker 1: as a good friend, you had my back on a
• 7:50
Speaker 1: couple of these things. That's why I say, I appreciate you.
• 7:52
Speaker 1: Don't throw me right down the river, which I love.
• 7:55
Speaker 2: No, come on, dude, and I would if it sucked.
• 7:57
  Speaker 2: I mean, I'm a good friend, but I'm honest, and
• 8:01
Speaker 2: it was to me. I always look at mock drafts
• 8:03
Speaker 2: like thought exercises and they're good, they're good driven pieces,
• 8:08
Speaker 2: and that Okay, well, you know you can say this
• 8:10
Speaker 2: is never going to happen, but you're assuming A B
• 8:12
Speaker 2: and C. So if this thing changes, your whole thing's
• 8:16
Speaker 2: out the window. So you gave us some new scenarios
• 8:19
Speaker 2: and possibilities, which I think is great.
• 8:21
Speaker 1: Real quick, off the top of this thing, I want
• 8:23
Speaker 1: to give you just two topics and then just we'll
• 8:25
Speaker 1: bat them around, because I feel like they're becoming more
• 8:28
Speaker 1: and more a conversation piece. Houston at two the latest
• 8:31
Speaker 1: as we record this midweek before the draft, like, what
• 8:34
Speaker 1: are you hearing hit Houston at two?
• 8:37
Speaker 2: I mean, the it went from being whispers about them
• 8:40
Speaker 2: not taking Stroud. You know, I think we're all on
• 8:42
Speaker 2: the same page that price is going to go one,
• 8:45
Speaker 2: and if that happens, then A long thought that Stroud
• 8:48
Speaker 2: would go. And then when I heard the whispers previously,
• 8:50
Speaker 2: I thought, I'm not buying it. They have to take
• 8:52
Speaker 2: a quarterback. They have to. And then now it's like
• 8:55
Speaker 2: not a whisper, it's deafening, and it's from everybody you
• 8:57
Speaker 2: talk to around the league, like nobody thinks they're going
• 8:59
Speaker 2: to do it. Nobody thinks they're going to take Stroud.
• 9:01
Speaker 2: You list out a bunch of the reasons on your
• 9:03
Speaker 2: on your pod, we did on TV yesterday. But that's
• 9:06
Speaker 2: what I'm hearing. I mean, the only thing that I
• 9:08
Speaker 2: would say is I talked to one person yesterday who
• 9:10
Speaker 2: brought up a great point. And I do believe this
• 9:14
Speaker 2: that if ninety nine of the one hundred people involved
• 9:17
Speaker 2: in this whole process in the Houston organization say don't
• 9:20
Speaker 2: take Stroud, and the one of them that does is
• 9:22
Speaker 2: the owner, it doesn't matter what. It doesn't matter what
• 9:25
Speaker 2: Nick wants to do, It doesn't matter what Demico wants
• 9:27
Speaker 2: to do. If the owner says, guys, we're taking a quarterback,
• 9:29
  Speaker 2: You're taking a quarterback. Yep.
• 9:32
Speaker 1: The other team is the Colts. I said in the
• 9:34
Speaker 1: intro to this thing. The biggest response I got from
• 9:36
Speaker 1: the Colts was that, you know, not from the people
• 9:39
Speaker 1: in the building was they're taking quarterback no matter what.
• 9:42
Speaker 1: And if it's not Stroud, will Lewis is the name
• 9:44
Speaker 1: that keeps on coming up. And I don't have a
• 9:46
Speaker 1: team for Levis outside of the Colts, but here I
• 9:49
Speaker 1: am saying Levis is going to go after Hendon Hooker.
• 9:51
Speaker 1: In my first mock draft and he might go on
• 9:52
Speaker 1: the top four I've had.
• 9:55
Speaker 2: There's a lot of people, and not just one. There's
• 9:57
Speaker 2: a lot of people that believe if all three of
• 10:00
Speaker 2: those guys are there, when the Colts pick at four,
• 10:02
Speaker 2: that they'll take Levis over Stroud.
• 10:04
Speaker 1: Over Stroud, I was thinking over Street.
• 10:06
Speaker 2: Okay, I have the people that think that they have
• 10:09
Speaker 2: Levis is their guy and they would take him. So yeah,
• 10:14
Speaker 2: if that happens. If that happens, all everything's going to
• 10:17
  Speaker 2: break loose man.
• 10:18
Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, And you mentioned the owner in Houston. I
• 10:20
Speaker 1: don't think any owner has more leverage over coach GM
• 10:25
Speaker 1: fan base right now than Jim irsay, and as much
• 10:27
Speaker 1: as you want to say, his daughters might be transitioning
• 10:30
Speaker 1: into leadership roles and you might say, okay, well, Chris Ballert,
• 10:33
Speaker 1: I feel like this is like, you know, the owner
• 10:35
Speaker 1: is gonna have a very large voice in this and
• 10:37
Speaker 1: if he fell in love with Levis, well then we'll
• 10:39
Speaker 1: leve us it is.
• 10:40
Speaker 2: Yeah, so we'll see. It's going to be fascinating. Buddy,
• 10:44
Speaker 2: what are we what are we doing here? Were rock
• 10:45
  Speaker 2: and roll?
• 10:45
Speaker 1: Okay, so here's how it works. Yeah, so Aaron, you
• 10:48
Speaker 1: are going to do the honors. You're going to flip
• 10:50
Speaker 1: a coin, and because DJ is the visiting team, he's
• 10:54
Speaker 1: going to pick heads or tails. He will then be
• 10:55
Speaker 1: able to pick if he wants to be the odds
• 10:57
Speaker 1: the evens in this mock draft exercise, Aaron, why don't
• 11:01
Speaker 1: you get that coin out? DJ? Heads or tails? What
• 11:03
  Speaker 1: do you call?
• 11:04
Speaker 2: Tails? Never fails? Let's come on, obvious. Give it to me, Aaron.
• 11:08
Speaker 2: What we got we're flipping? It's tails, DJ, it's your pick.
• 11:12
Speaker 2: You want to go odds or evens? I mean I'm
• 11:14
Speaker 2: going to go odds. I want the first pick. Man, Okay,
• 11:17
Speaker 2: all right, here we go.
• 11:19
Speaker 1: This is crazy, all right, So for the listeners, we
• 11:21
Speaker 1: want you guys to listen along and do this in
• 11:23
Speaker 1: your own head. But also the rules no traits, no
• 11:27
Speaker 1: no traits, So just straight up. Panthers are at number one?
• 11:31
Speaker 1: What are you taken, Daniel Jeremiah.
• 11:33
Speaker 2: I'm going to take Bryce Young first pick. I think
• 11:35
Speaker 2: he's the best player in the draft. I think it's
• 11:37
Speaker 2: also who they are going to take, so it all
• 11:39
Speaker 2: marries up quite easily for me there with the first pick.
• 11:42
Speaker 1: All right, Number two overall the Houston Texans. A bit
• 11:47
Speaker 1: of a shocker here, the Houston Texans are going to
• 11:49
Speaker 1: take time Texas Tech. This is the same like treyvon
• 11:56
Speaker 1: Walker over Aiden Hutchinson type of selection. They're going with
• 11:59
Speaker 1: the athletic freak. We had him on Good Morning Football.
• 12:01
Speaker 1: Not a man of many words to tell you that much,
• 12:03
Speaker 1: and yet he is an absolute freak show when he
• 12:05
Speaker 1: walks into the studio six seven sixty six to seventy two,
• 12:10
Speaker 1: says he can run a four four forty and uh oh, yeah,
• 12:12
Speaker 1: he has an eighty six inch wingspan. And I didn't
• 12:15
Speaker 1: realize this DJ. You might know. His defensive cornator this
• 12:18
Speaker 1: past year was a defensive coordinator for Keevon Thibadeau, but
• 12:21
Speaker 1: also Miles Garrett von Miller, And I feel like this
• 12:24
Speaker 1: guy's been well coached. He's ready to go Texas Kid.
• 12:26
Speaker 1: He goes to the Houston text and second overall.
• 12:29
Speaker 2: I know, I just wonder the only thing about that,
• 12:31
Speaker 2: and I know there are teams that that feel this way.
• 12:34
Speaker 2: I like him. He's my fourth overall player. I've had
• 12:36
Speaker 2: him at my top ten through the whole process. But
• 12:39
Speaker 2: can Dimico go back? Is Nick Saban allow him to
• 12:41
Speaker 2: come back into the building if he doesn't.
• 12:43
Speaker 1: Take the right Yeah, But Dimiko is an Alabama guy, right, so.
• 12:49
Speaker 2: This is this is the time of here is real quick.
• 12:50
Speaker 2: I'll give you this one. So Chris cas Cirk wileys
• 12:54
  Speaker 2: the best.
• 12:55
Speaker 1: Niners D line coach.
• 12:57
Speaker 2: Yep, Niners D line coach, and everybody's like, Okay, well
• 12:59
Speaker 2: he's gonna love Tyree Wilson. He fits what they do.
• 13:02
Speaker 2: Chris Caserq went to Texas Tech, so that and then
• 13:04
Speaker 2: Chris Caserk and Demiko ran work together. So if you
• 13:08
Speaker 2: take that and this, and then I'm like, yeah, Demiko
• 13:10
Speaker 2: went to Alabama, Like are we just gonna So it's
• 13:13
Speaker 2: gonna be fascinating to see what they do.
• 13:16
Speaker 1: That's so good Will Anderson who we might take it
• 13:19
Speaker 1: the next week. I didn't realize this second most sacks
• 13:21
Speaker 1: and tackles for a loss in Alabama history, behind only
• 13:24
Speaker 1: Derek Thomas. Okay, third overall. The Arizona Cardinals, new GM,
• 13:29
Speaker 1: new head coach, and a franchise that's going through some
• 13:32
Speaker 1: stuff right now, who's to pick?
• 13:34
Speaker 2: Well, I'm going to take Will Anderson. I'll remove the
• 13:37
Speaker 2: suspense there. To me, I think that we're not even established,
• 13:40
Speaker 2: we're not doing trades here. But of anybody that should
• 13:44
Speaker 2: be motivated to trade upper trade down in this draft.
• 13:46
Speaker 2: To me, the Cardinals trading down should be the most
• 13:49
Speaker 2: motivated team. I don't know where you are, pet, but
• 13:51
Speaker 2: to me, they're the worst roster in the NFL right now.
• 13:54
Speaker 2: They're not picking first, but they are the worst in
• 13:56
Speaker 2: terms of where they're at from a roster standpoint. There
• 13:58
Speaker 2: is a lot of needs in one player. As great
• 14:01
Speaker 2: as Will Anderson is, as much as I love him,
• 14:03
Speaker 2: they need a lot more.
• 14:04
Speaker 1: Let me ask you, is there a player or a
• 14:06
Speaker 1: team that you think, let's start with player. Is there
• 14:09
Speaker 1: a player say that goes that way young Wilson? Is
• 14:12
Speaker 1: there a player that is worth trading up for that you? Like?
• 14:14
Speaker 1: Stroud had all this early buzz at the top of it, like,
• 14:16
Speaker 1: is someone going to be trading up for CJ. Stroud?
• 14:18
Speaker 1: Is someone going to be trading up to get Will?
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: I don't know. That's the problem. So I think they
• 14:23
Speaker 1: would love to trade back, but they're not going to
• 14:24
Speaker 1: do it for sixty cents on a dollar.
• 14:26
  Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I mean the
• 14:28
Speaker 2: thing is, I think, you know, I keep an eye
• 14:31
Speaker 2: on the Raiders, maybe as a wild card, but I
• 14:34
Speaker 2: don't know. I feel like the Raiders have a pretty
• 14:36
Speaker 2: they have a lot of veterans, man, they still I mean,
• 14:39
Speaker 2: I just have a hard time thinking they want to
• 14:41
Speaker 2: break one in right now. Just see what they can
• 14:42
Speaker 2: get out of Jimmy for the next few years and
• 14:44
Speaker 2: try and make a run at it.
• 14:46
Speaker 1: All right, So interesting, so so far we got Bryce Young,
• 14:49
Speaker 1: Tyree Wilson, and then Will Anderson. I don't say any
• 14:52
Speaker 1: mock drives doing that. And that's just one, two, three
• 14:54
Speaker 1: colts in the spirit of our conversation. For the sake
• 14:57
Speaker 1: of mixing this thing up, they will shock the world
• 15:00
Speaker 1: and maybe by the time it's Thursday, it's not. Will
• 15:02
Speaker 1: Levis quarterback Kentucky fourth overall to the Indianapolis.
• 15:07
Speaker 2: Cult, and I don't think it's crazy. It would not
• 15:10
Speaker 2: surprise me at all. You can connect the dots there
• 15:14
Speaker 2: with him. I know he was a manning camp guy.
• 15:17
Speaker 2: I know Peyton's still you know, I know Peyton still
• 15:21
Speaker 2: carries weight in that organization. I can I can see
• 15:24
Speaker 2: this happening, and that will send some shockwaves, send some
• 15:28
Speaker 2: shock waves out there.
• 15:30
Speaker 1: So now Seattle is fifth on the clock. Where now
• 15:32
Speaker 1: I think the draft is like it's now, it's way.
• 15:34
Speaker 2: Up in the air right, it's wild. And I think
• 15:37
Speaker 2: that Seattle it was almost like they were going out
• 15:39
Speaker 2: of their way. All the pictures with all the quarterbacks.
• 15:41
Speaker 2: It's almost it's over the top. It was almost too much.
• 15:43
Speaker 2: I equate it to a team who is constantly sending
• 15:47
Speaker 2: their parents pictures of them at a place that you
• 15:49
Speaker 2: think they're at. When you're like, okay, you sent me
• 15:51
Speaker 2: the one picture from you at the library, but like
• 15:53
Speaker 2: this is the fourth one. I'm beginning to think you
• 15:55
Speaker 2: might not be at the library.
• 15:57
Speaker 1: I think you said on total access like Bible study. Yeah.
• 16:04
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just too much. So I actually I think
• 16:08
Speaker 2: they would love to have got those two defensive players
• 16:12
Speaker 2: that are now off the board. I think this puts
• 16:14
Speaker 2: them a little bit in scramble mode. And I think
• 16:17
Speaker 2: when they look at it and you stack up, what's there.
• 16:21
Speaker 2: I think at this point in time, while they weren't
• 16:24
Speaker 2: planning on quarterback, I don't think they were planning on
• 16:26
Speaker 2: Stroud being there. So I'm gonna go with c J.
• 16:30
Speaker 2: Stroud here with the Seahawks.
• 16:33
Speaker 1: They love it. CJ. Stroud goes fifth to the Seattle Seahawks,
• 16:45
Speaker 1: which brings up the Detroit Lions at six something to
• 16:49
Speaker 1: note they have character guys up and down that roster,
• 16:54
Speaker 1: and Chris Pielman is all about character, and Brad Holmes
• 16:57
Speaker 1: comes from the Rams who they do things with the character.
• 16:59
Speaker 1: And I'm not saying Jalen Carter has a giant red
• 17:02
Speaker 1: flag as a character because of the stuff that he's
• 17:04
Speaker 1: gone through over the last few months. But there are
• 17:06
Speaker 1: a questions about his makeup, about his off the field stuff,
• 17:08
Speaker 1: about his history. I wonder if he's on Detroit's board.
• 17:12
Speaker 1: I have him going to the Lions in my mock draft.
• 17:15
Speaker 1: I'm going to go back to that pick. I'm going
• 17:17
Speaker 1: to go Jalen Carter to the Detroit Lions and just say,
• 17:21
Speaker 1: at the end of the day, you put him in
• 17:22
Speaker 1: a good environment, you put him around next to Aiden Hutchinson,
• 17:25
Speaker 1: and you give him Aaron Glenn and Dan Campbell, and
• 17:27
Speaker 1: this guy's going to flourish. Jalen Carter goes sixth to
• 17:30
  Speaker 1: the Detroit Lions.
• 17:31
Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, he's a great player, there's no question about that.
• 17:35
Speaker 2: And I've had a tough time paging him. There seems
• 17:38
Speaker 2: to be sentiment that teams I've talked to do not
• 17:41
Speaker 2: expect Seattle. I thought Seattle would be in play with
• 17:44
Speaker 2: Jalen Carter. The stuff I've got back was the Malik
• 17:47
Speaker 2: McDowell experience. Then Seattle could have soured them on taking
• 17:52
Speaker 2: a chance here. So we'll see interesting, all right. The
• 17:55
Speaker 2: Raiders at seven. If you look at the New England
• 17:59
Speaker 2: Patriots secondary, it's kind of shocking. I don't think people
• 18:03
Speaker 2: realize this, but Bill Belichick has played with a lot
• 18:05
Speaker 2: of undersized corners recently. Look at Jack Jones, what he's
• 18:08
Speaker 2: done there. They have played with smaller guys that have instincts,
• 18:12
Speaker 2: toughness and awareness. And if you look at that guy
• 18:14
Speaker 2: in this draft, it's Devin Witherspoon for Illinois and the
• 18:17
Speaker 2: Raiders have needs. But to me, I think it's corner.
• 18:20
Speaker 2: I think it's between him and Gonzales. Gonzalez gives you
• 18:22
Speaker 2: all the size. Weatherspoon I think is a better football player,
• 18:26
Speaker 2: and they need somebody that can take the ball away.
• 18:28
Speaker 2: I had the number here, whereas it the Raiders last
• 18:31
Speaker 2: year dead last the takeaways. So get somebody to take
• 18:34
  Speaker 2: the football away.
• 18:35
Speaker 1: I like it. Falcons at a wow. You know, the
• 18:38
Speaker 1: Falcons fan base is pretty loud on Twitter. I had
• 18:40
Speaker 1: them going Nolan Smith in my mock draft I might
• 18:44
Speaker 1: give him there, but Scaransky sitting there now at a
• 18:47
Speaker 1: is intriguing. You know, they've got a good offensive line.
• 18:50
Speaker 1: They brought back to you guys with new deals. Scaransky.
• 18:54
Speaker 1: It's a lot of love Northwestern guy, you know what.
• 18:57
Speaker 1: Eighth overall, I will give them Peter Skaransky out of Northwestern.
• 19:02
Speaker 1: I have not seen offensive line a lot of places
• 19:04
Speaker 1: to the Falcons, but I think they continue to build
• 19:06
Speaker 1: up on that offense, and they addressed the defense in
• 19:08
Speaker 1: a million ways over the offseason.
• 19:10
Speaker 2: Okay, so we go Peter Skarnski there. That puts me
• 19:15
Speaker 2: on the board here with the Bears at nine, all right,
• 19:22
Speaker 2: this is gonna be an interesting one here. I can
• 19:26
Speaker 2: go on. I can go in some different directions with
• 19:28
Speaker 2: the Bears. You know, somebody told me don't sleep on
• 19:33
Speaker 2: Bijeon with them either. By the way, I love.
• 19:38
Speaker 1: Who's there starting? Who are starting running back? Khalil Herbert
• 19:40
Speaker 1: right now? I don't know, man, that could be a
• 19:42
  Speaker 1: major upgrade.
• 19:43
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean they you know they bought they brought
• 19:45
Speaker 2: over Deante Foreman. Yeah they got.
• 19:49
Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, another Texas So.
• 19:53
  Speaker 2: Gosh, that's that's fun. That's that's intriguing. Gosh, this is
• 19:59
Speaker 2: this is my hardest one. This team last year, by
• 20:02
Speaker 2: the way, last defensively, last in points per game. Uh,
• 20:05
Speaker 2: third down sas ant sacks or third downs an sacks,
• 20:08
  Speaker 2: They're They're the worst. They're terrible Russian. So I know
• 20:11
  Speaker 2: they've brought in a lot of D line and they've
• 20:12
Speaker 2: made an investment there. I was gonna take Scarrotsky. You
• 20:18
Speaker 2: took them right in front of me. Yeah, gosh, I
• 20:23
Speaker 2: might just go and say, they're going to try and
• 20:25
Speaker 2: get a big, clean player, and I'll give him a corner.
• 20:27
Speaker 2: I'll give him Gonzales.
• 20:28
  Speaker 1: It's a good pick. It's a good pick. You can't
• 20:32
Speaker 1: go wrong with that pick. Christian.
• 20:35
Speaker 2: I think it's I think that the Bijon thing is
• 20:38
Speaker 2: is even though they've got some backs they can line
• 20:40
Speaker 2: up and play with, they don't have anybody like him,
• 20:42
Speaker 2: So that would be one I wouldn't sleep on with them,
• 20:44
Speaker 2: but I'll give him a corner.
• 20:47
Speaker 1: Yeah, I think we agree that at ten. You know,
• 20:50
Speaker 1: Jim Rosenhouse is on HBO this week and he's talking
• 20:52
Speaker 1: about having a team that's that's told him Jalen Carr
• 20:56
Speaker 1: is going to go there now like I took him
• 20:58
Speaker 1: with Detroit. If he doesn't go to Detroit. This is
• 21:00
Speaker 1: a landing spot that a lot of people have the
• 21:02
Speaker 1: Eagles going there. He's off the board. There's a lot
• 21:05
Speaker 1: of good guys, a lot of good offensive linemen here
• 21:09
Speaker 1: that are still on the board. But I think this
• 21:11
Speaker 1: is the year the Eagles break the trend and for
• 21:13
Speaker 1: the first time since the nineteen eighties, they take a
• 21:15
Speaker 1: running back. I'll go Bijon Robinson tenth overall to the Eagles.
• 21:20
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm clapping for you right now because I've been
• 21:23
Speaker 2: lobbying for this and it's you know, I've worked in
• 21:26
Speaker 2: that personal department for two years. I know their thoughts
• 21:28
Speaker 2: on running backs and they don't do it. I think
• 21:30
Speaker 2: this is a different year. I don't know, we talked
• 21:32
Speaker 2: about this on TV that they kicked around. We don't
• 21:34
Speaker 2: need to expound on it. But to me, I just
• 21:36
  Speaker 2: think it's them and the Niners. It's it's really a
• 21:38
Speaker 2: two team conference right now. And that's one thing the
• 21:40
Speaker 2: Niners have that they don't. I mean, they don't have
• 21:42
  Speaker 2: Christian McCaffrey's a difference maker. The Lions didn't. I mean,
• 21:45
Speaker 2: I think did the Niners lose after he got there,
• 21:47
Speaker 2: until they lost all the quarterbacks against the even the lost.
• 21:50
Speaker 1: I think they lost. They might have lost the first
• 21:52
Speaker 1: game that they played, and then I think they got
• 21:54
Speaker 1: blown out by the Chiefs, and then from that point
• 21:55
Speaker 1: on they liked won every game.
• 21:57
Speaker 2: Yeah, so I like that one. All right, I've got
• 21:59
Speaker 2: the Titans at eleven.
• 22:01
Speaker 1: Hey, real quick, what's your what's your comfort? Bijon Robinson.
• 22:04
Speaker 1: I've been saying Saquon on air, and people are.
• 22:06
Speaker 2: I go back, I go back, old school Edrian James.
• 22:10
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good one. That's really good.
• 22:13
  Speaker 2: I don't I mean he actually, I mean just the
• 22:14
Speaker 2: way he kind of he moves around side. Yeah, he
• 22:18
Speaker 2: kind of looks like LT. But I just I just
• 22:21
  Speaker 2: being around LT, like, I can't. I can't. I can't.
• 22:24
Speaker 2: I just can't. I have too much reverence for LT.
• 22:26
Speaker 2: I can't do it. But all right, we get to
• 22:29
Speaker 2: the Tennessee Titans here, all right, Tennessee Titans. This is
• 22:36
Speaker 2: a team that's offensively challenged, to say the least. So
• 22:40
Speaker 2: we're sitting here right now. They've got Anthony Richardson still
• 22:42
Speaker 2: on the board, so we're in a situation. Now. We've
• 22:44
Speaker 2: got a little bit of a free fall here.
• 22:46
Speaker 1: Pete Richardson, and we also have Hooker still on the board.
• 22:52
Speaker 1: If you're talking about the five quarterbacks.
• 22:54
Speaker 2: Yeah, so the Titans note here, uh still need there
• 23:03
Speaker 2: on the offensive line white out wise. I just don't
• 23:07
Speaker 2: think they have any firepower. So even though he's my
• 23:11
Speaker 2: second receiver, I'm going to give him Jackson Smith and
• 23:14
Speaker 2: Jigba here and take off the board. They just need
• 23:17
Speaker 2: some more punch. They need some more firepower offensively, So
• 23:21
Speaker 2: I'll go in that direction. See if him at trailing
• 23:23
Speaker 2: Burks can get them going a little bit.
• 23:25
Speaker 1: All right, Now, Look, if the Texans pass on Stroud
• 23:29
Speaker 1: and Levis and Richardson at two, if Richardson's sitting there
• 23:33
Speaker 1: at twelve, do they say, well, it wasn't in our
• 23:36
Speaker 1: plan to take quarterback. We had a very strict plan here,
• 23:39
Speaker 1: and we're going to go defense and maybe whatever else
• 23:41
Speaker 1: at twelve, go offensive line. But gosh, Richardson sitting there
• 23:43
Speaker 1: at twelve, and then it's like we've been waiting all
• 23:47
Speaker 1: these years today quarterback. Do we want to take the
• 23:48
Speaker 1: fourth one off the board. That's a real tough decision.
• 23:52
Speaker 1: Or do you just go offensive line, defense, build up
• 23:55
Speaker 1: your team, get a wide receiver here?
• 23:58
  Speaker 2: Crap?
• 23:58
Speaker 1: I'm going to say, Anthony Richardson twelve to the Texans,
• 24:01
Speaker 1: I don't think they planned on taking them too. And
• 24:04
Speaker 1: then here he is at twelve, and may your future
• 24:07
Speaker 1: plans of Caleb Wilson or whoever else you might have
• 24:09
Speaker 1: think can get there next year or just out the window,
• 24:11
Speaker 1: and you go Anthony Richardson right here.
• 24:13
Speaker 2: Okay, Anthony and Richardson off the board. Now we get
• 24:17
Speaker 2: to the New York Jets. Jets could go in a
• 24:21
Speaker 2: lot of different areas. Everybody always I always kick around
• 24:26
Speaker 2: the idea of them taking a defensive lineman, and then
• 24:29
Speaker 2: they go, that's the deepest position on our team. They're
• 24:31
Speaker 2: never they would never do that, blah blah blah blah blah.
• 24:33
Speaker 2: And I'm like, you know their background, you know Joe's background,
• 24:36
Speaker 2: you know what they.
• 24:37
Speaker 1: Just give me Joe and Sala I mean yes.
• 24:40
Speaker 2: And yeah exactly, And look at where this team could
• 24:43
Speaker 2: be next year. Carl Lawson is probably not going to
• 24:45
Speaker 2: be there. You look at Huff is not going to
• 24:49
Speaker 2: be there. So you're gonna take a couple of guys
• 24:51
Speaker 2: out of that mix. And it's like, Okay, well I
• 24:53
  Speaker 2: wouldn't I wouldn't totally roll that out, but I still
• 24:56
Speaker 2: think they've been caught with offensive line depth issues. Makai Beckton,
• 25:00
Speaker 2: as much as I love him when he's on the field,
• 25:01
Speaker 2: he hasn't been able to stay on the field. I
• 25:03
Speaker 2: think they have to go offensive line here. For for me,
• 25:06
Speaker 2: this is again, this is not the order that I
• 25:08
Speaker 2: have them. This is where I'm going to say it
• 25:10
Speaker 2: goes and I'll say Rodert Jones from Georgia.
• 25:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I like it, which brings up the Patriots
• 25:18
Speaker 1: at fourteen. Gosh, Patriots signed Juju.
• 25:22
Speaker 2: Right, Yep, They've signed Juju. And there's another wide out
• 25:26
Speaker 2: there too with Juju, and they brought into Sicki at
• 25:32
Speaker 2: the tight end and then yeah, there's still though there's
• 25:35
Speaker 2: nobody on there. There's nobody in there receiving core that
• 25:37
Speaker 2: you go like, that's a guy we have to game
• 25:39
  Speaker 2: plan against.
• 25:40
Speaker 1: I know, I know, all right, Patriots. Patriots will go
• 25:47
Speaker 1: Paris Johnson offensive line, move him inside, with him at
• 25:51
Speaker 1: the tackle spot, put him at guar whatever it is,
• 25:53
Speaker 1: just add to that offensive line. They did col strange
• 25:56
Speaker 1: last year. They get another one this year, and they
• 25:58
Speaker 1: continue to beef up the line for whoever's going to
• 26:00
Speaker 1: be their long term.
• 26:01
Speaker 2: Quarterback as let me just pull this up for make
• 26:04
Speaker 2: sure I'm crossing them off the lift. So you go,
• 26:06
Speaker 2: Paris Johnson, check him off. We've got you know, this
• 26:10
Speaker 2: is one of these deals about this exercise. You know,
• 26:12
Speaker 2: I think you're probably the same as me. I've said,
• 26:14
Speaker 2: Nolan Smith's going to go, He's not gonna He's not
• 26:18
Speaker 2: going to drop. He's sitting here, not very any And
• 26:20
Speaker 2: I know the packers could look at other areas, but
• 26:24
Speaker 2: to me, this gives him a fastball. I hope for
• 26:27
Speaker 2: Shan Gary could stay healthy.
• 26:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, but dude, like I'm gonna I'm going to tell
• 26:31
Speaker 1: you something about that, the dropping and all that. Last year,
• 26:34
Speaker 1: Jermaine Johnson, everyone you spoke to in the world said
• 26:36
Speaker 1: he's going top ten. He's got to. The Jets are
• 26:38
Speaker 1: sitting there at twenty six. The year before that, Rashan
• 26:41
Speaker 1: Slater will not escape the top ten. Will that it happens.
• 26:43
  Speaker 1: He's sitting.
• 26:44
  Speaker 2: It happens.
• 26:45
Speaker 1: It really does happen. And I don't want it to
• 26:47
Speaker 1: happen to Nolan Smith, just as well could happen to
• 26:49
Speaker 1: Bijeon or Peter Skarnski or whoever. But like this is
• 26:52
Speaker 1: how the draft goes other teams take other players, and
• 26:54
Speaker 1: similarly the Packers. You didn't expect in a million years
• 26:56
Speaker 1: that Nolan Smith is gonna be sitting there at fifteen
• 26:58
Speaker 1: and you don't want to go just defense, defense, defense
• 27:00
Speaker 1: every year. But there he is.
• 27:02
Speaker 2: My all counts. Great, great dude too. Character wise, all
• 27:05
Speaker 2: that stuff off the charts, and they're collecting a lot
• 27:08
Speaker 2: of Georgia players. They went Wyatt and kowy Walker previously.
• 27:12
Speaker 2: Now they go back and dip into that. Well, so uh,
• 27:15
Speaker 2: I'm gonna take care. I just thought, you know, with
• 27:18
Speaker 2: with Nolan Smith, somebody brought up a great example the
• 27:20
Speaker 2: other day, which was you. I was talking to a
• 27:23
Speaker 2: GM about it and I was using the Hassan Reddit
• 27:25
Speaker 2: company said, you know what, I think you can use
• 27:27
Speaker 2: him like the Cowboys use Michael Parsons. Let him just
• 27:31
Speaker 2: kind of be that walk around blitzer I think they
• 27:33
Speaker 2: prefer to as a spinner and you can rush him
• 27:35
Speaker 2: and play them off the ball if you want. But
• 27:36
Speaker 2: I'm gonna go there, Okay, all.
• 27:38
Speaker 1: Right, that's all right. And then you know you're looking
• 27:42
Speaker 1: at defense still here as I went to the Commanders
• 27:45
Speaker 1: and they've they're another team that's loaded on defense and
• 27:47
Speaker 1: then I've got van Ness on the board, and you're like,
• 27:49
Speaker 1: do you just add another pass rusher.
• 27:53
  Speaker 2: Right?
• 27:53
Speaker 1: Like they have all those guys like you know what, Uh,
• 27:58
Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with h I'm gonna go with another
• 28:00
Speaker 1: skill position. They last year they got Dotson in the
• 28:03
Speaker 1: first round. I'm gonna go with Dalton Utah as the
• 28:07
Speaker 1: sixteenth overall pick. I'm not convinced on their quarterback situation
• 28:12
Speaker 1: with Brissette and Howell, but there's not a quarterback I
• 28:14
Speaker 1: don't think they're taking at sixteen right there that's going
• 28:17
Speaker 1: to be playing instead. So Dalton Kincaid, I like it.
• 28:20
Speaker 2: I'm going to go Darnell right tackle Tennessee with the Steelers.
• 28:24
Speaker 2: So the Steelers, you know, if you're looking at those
• 28:27
Speaker 2: that tier of tackles, this is the last one you've got.
• 28:30
Speaker 2: Rodert Jones's gone, Paris Johnson's gone. This is the next
• 28:34
Speaker 2: one in line. And if you look at the corner position,
• 28:36
Speaker 2: where I think they could look here as well. There's
• 28:39
Speaker 2: some good names on the board, but I think the
• 28:41
Speaker 2: tackle group falls off a cliff. So if you want
• 28:43
Speaker 2: to tackle in a corner, I think you have to
• 28:45
Speaker 2: take the tackle first and wait for the corner.
• 28:48
Speaker 1: Okay, smart, that was sort of what the Giants had
• 28:51
Speaker 1: the decision last year, and they said we could wait
• 28:53
Speaker 1: on evan Neil, but Thibodeau is there now, We're going
• 28:55
Speaker 1: to take Thibodaux right here. And then Evan Neil was
• 28:57
Speaker 1: there when they were drafting Lions eighteen, Lions traded away,
• 29:06
Speaker 1: they added a lot on defensive back. And yet I'm
• 29:09
Speaker 1: looking at Joey Porter Junior sitting there. I believe it
• 29:12
Speaker 1: was you who said this our Colleen Wolf yesterday, which
• 29:14
Speaker 1: was shocking. There has never been a Penn State defense
• 29:18
Speaker 1: in the first round. That's a weird statu And then
• 29:22
Speaker 1: yet I'm trying to think of Penn State defensive backs
• 29:24
Speaker 1: and not many come to mind. So I guess it
• 29:25
Speaker 1: does make sense Joey Porter Junior will be my pick
• 29:28
Speaker 1: at eighteen, meaning that their two first round picks are
• 29:31
Speaker 1: Jalen Carter and Joey Porter Junior. Pretty good.
• 29:34
Speaker 2: I feel like you're sliding Troy Apke personally tricky.
• 29:38
Speaker 1: He's not a nice little career.
• 29:40
Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, Tampa, Tampa is sitting here at nineteen,
• 29:47
Speaker 2: and I'm looking at Head and Hooker is still being
• 29:50
Speaker 2: a possibility here. He's still out there. But I think
• 29:57
Speaker 2: when you look at where things are and what's still
• 29:59
Speaker 2: left on the board, I think with van s still
• 30:01
Speaker 2: being there, I think I'm going to lean in that direction.
• 30:04
Speaker 2: I think it's about value pick at this point in time.
• 30:07
Speaker 2: Give them another another weapon they can deploy on that front.
• 30:11
Speaker 1: Lucas van Ness out of Iowa. I love that kid.
• 30:16
Speaker 1: I love him as the town. I don't know where
• 30:17
Speaker 1: he goes in the draft. I've heard someone tell me
• 30:19
Speaker 1: that you know you took Nolan Smith and your mock
• 30:22
Speaker 1: when van Ness is on the board, you know, van
• 30:25
Speaker 1: Ness is over Smith on our board. O, my god,
• 30:26
Speaker 1: that's interesting. You know the teams, teams are different, teams
• 30:30
Speaker 1: are different. Seahawks they got fifth overall. Here you had
• 30:37
Speaker 1: the Seahawks taking c. J. Stroud, which is awesome.
• 30:44
Speaker 2: Months ago, right right, it's so good.
• 30:47
Speaker 1: Seahawks back on the board and I'm gonna go Seahawks. Seahawks.
• 31:00
Speaker 1: Oh man, the Seahawks are pretty loaded, you know, like
• 31:02
Speaker 1: it's just like it's this fun team where they actually
• 31:05
Speaker 1: with all their d fixed yesterday last year playing. They've
• 31:08
Speaker 1: got a lot of talent Seahawks I will select. I'm
• 31:19
Speaker 1: debating between offensive line and pass Rusher, and gosh, I'm
• 31:27
Speaker 1: gonna go with Oh Cyrus Torrance out of Florida, big guard,
• 31:32
Speaker 1: add another guy to block up the middle, and you've
• 31:35
Speaker 1: got your Kenneth Walker and all that stuff. But I
• 31:37
Speaker 1: did not have him in my first round in my
• 31:39
Speaker 1: mock draft. I've not heard him use many places. Second
• 31:42
Speaker 1: pick in top twenty, here we go, O Cyrus Torrance
• 31:46
Speaker 1: did not see that happening, all right?
• 31:47
Speaker 2: I like it. That leaves me with the Chargers, right, So, yep,
• 31:54
Speaker 2: a lot of different ways they can go. I'm going
• 31:58
Speaker 2: to go knowing full well what they already have in
• 32:01
Speaker 2: this position group and knowing that I don't know how
• 32:05
Speaker 2: long it's going to continue with Keenan and Mike together there.
• 32:08
Speaker 2: And I love Josh Palmer is a really good player.
• 32:11
Speaker 2: But I've developed this thing called the Mahomes doctrine. Feel
• 32:15
Speaker 2: free to take it. But the Mahomes doctrine states that
• 32:18
Speaker 2: if you were in the AFC, no such thing as
• 32:20
Speaker 2: having too many weapons or too much offense.
• 32:22
Speaker 1: There's not enough love it.
• 32:23
Speaker 2: So I'm gonna go Jordan. I'm gonna go Jordan Adison
• 32:25
Speaker 2: to the Chargers here, throw him in their receivers.
• 32:28
Speaker 1: Pick I hear that. You could also say you can
• 32:31
Speaker 1: never have enough pass rushers in the Mahomes world.
• 32:34
Speaker 2: I know, but I know they played on an ice rink.
• 32:35
Speaker 2: But even with all the pass rushers last year against
• 32:37
Speaker 2: the Chiefs did end up mattering. I mean, I know,
• 32:41
  Speaker 2: I know.
• 32:48
Speaker 1: Gosh Ravens. All right, here's the one from left fields.
• 32:52
Speaker 1: Didn't have him in my first round, and yet I
• 32:54
Speaker 1: love them and everyone on the scouting community that I
• 32:56
Speaker 1: talked to you say, well, it probably wouldn't be our pick,
• 32:58
Speaker 1: but you didn't include him in your first round? Why
• 33:00
Speaker 1: not going with a manual four in Mississippi state one
• 33:05
Speaker 1: hundred and six, see five pounds at the combine you
• 33:09
  Speaker 1: slided him.
• 33:09
Speaker 2: He was one sixty six, one sixty six.
• 33:11
Speaker 1: One sixty six, beefed up. I believe that is.
• 33:15
  Speaker 2: Big.
• 33:15
Speaker 1: Yeah. Is there a body type like him?
• 33:20
Speaker 2: I was with role with the Ravens and he worked right. Yeah,
• 33:23
Speaker 2: he was great. So there's a couple of annual forbes.
• 33:27
Speaker 2: He's a freak. He's got unbelievable ball skills. Another one,
• 33:30
Speaker 2: Fred Smoot, had a similar body type back in the day.
• 33:33
Speaker 1: Really, okay, all right, you're up with the Vikings and
• 33:37
Speaker 1: Hendon hooker is on the board.
• 33:38
Speaker 2: No Hendon hooker is there? Man else I would potentially
• 33:45
  Speaker 2: go here?
• 33:49
  Speaker 1: Mmmm.
• 33:51
Speaker 2: I like Hendon Hookers, but I almost I almost liked
• 33:54
Speaker 2: the idea of me passing on to see, yeah, see
• 33:57
Speaker 2: what you can do, and me look at the rest
• 33:58
Speaker 2: of these teams that there's not really a it's not
• 34:01
Speaker 2: really the Yeah, there's one possibility still remaining. So I
• 34:06
Speaker 2: want to keep handing a hooker on the board for
• 34:07
Speaker 2: you because I want to see what else you what
• 34:09
Speaker 2: else you have on From an information standpoint, I'm going
• 34:12
Speaker 2: to be selfish. I'm going to look at the Minnesota Vikings.
• 34:19
Speaker 2: I'm going to give the Minnesota Vikings Deontay Banks a
• 34:22
  Speaker 2: corner from Maryland.
• 34:24
Speaker 1: Yep, good player. I was going to go ahead or
• 34:27
Speaker 1: Forbes to the Ravens there.
• 34:30
Speaker 2: I almost went Deyontay Banks to the Chargers too. I
• 34:32
Speaker 2: could make that case too.
• 34:34
Speaker 1: That's about where he'll go. He's here, and the other
• 34:39
Speaker 1: guy who's going to go here, who I'm going to
• 34:40
Speaker 1: probably take with the Jaguars pick Let me see if
• 34:43
  Speaker 1: you can.
• 34:45
Speaker 2: I'm already get inside your head. I already know what
• 34:47
  Speaker 2: you're doing here, what you're.
• 34:48
Speaker 1: Doing, and that is exactly right. Brian Branch will be
• 34:50
Speaker 1: the pick for the Jaguars here. He's the perfect pick
• 34:52
Speaker 1: for this selection. Good placement. And you said yesterday on
• 34:55
Speaker 1: the mock draft, lot play Nickel, play inside, play outside,
• 34:59
Speaker 1: and you know, just get a good football player here,
• 35:01
Speaker 1: a leader and maybe the hardest hitter in the entire draft.
• 35:04
Speaker 1: I like it, Giants.
• 35:07
Speaker 2: I am up with the g men. I'm going to
• 35:10
Speaker 2: give them. I think I'm going to give them a weapon.
• 35:17
Speaker 2: This is an interesting one. I have this guy as
• 35:19
Speaker 2: my thirty first overall player, and teams are split. Some
• 35:24
Speaker 2: like him significantly better than that. Other teams are not
• 35:26
Speaker 2: a high on him. He's got inconsistent hands. But Quentin
• 35:28
Speaker 2: Johnson from TCU has he just got an intriguing skill set.
• 35:32
Speaker 2: He's one of the few big receivers in this draft.
• 35:35
Speaker 2: He plays faster than he timed. And so give the
• 35:38
Speaker 2: Giants so another weapon here.
• 35:40
Speaker 1: So I put Jay Flowers in my mock draft, and
• 35:43
Speaker 1: Quentin Johnson was on the board, and multiple people are
• 35:45
Speaker 1: in the league text to me and said, looking at it,
• 35:47
Speaker 1: like your order of your receivers might be off. If
• 35:50
Speaker 1: the Giants who took wan Dale Robinson last year were
• 35:53
Speaker 1: to take Zay Flowers. That wouldn't make sense. You're looking
• 35:55
Speaker 1: to do a basketball team, Quintin Johnson makes more sense
• 35:58
Speaker 1: for the Giants, all right? Uh? Cowboys? Cowboys again. Colleen
• 36:04
Speaker 1: Wolf mentioned this on Good Morning Football. She was filling in,
• 36:07
Speaker 1: like have a really good track record in the first round.
• 36:09
Speaker 1: I think you want to, you know, poke at like
• 36:11
Speaker 1: the Cowboys for being this dramatic team, Like they picked
• 36:14
Speaker 1: solid players, they all end up playing roles that first year.
• 36:17
Speaker 1: Who would they take though? Let's see here, who's on
• 36:20
Speaker 1: the board. Who do we got? All the tackles are gone.
• 36:24
Speaker 2: I got one sticking out on them of considering what
• 36:27
Speaker 2: they lost last and free agency at a franchise tight
• 36:32
Speaker 2: end that they lost let walk away.
• 36:34
Speaker 1: Dalton Schultz is your franchise tight ends.
• 36:36
Speaker 2: But they franchised them, so it makes them he was
• 36:39
Speaker 2: their franchise place semantics over here, Peter, come on.
• 36:43
Speaker 1: Sorry, that's interesting because you've got not only the Georgia
• 36:48
Speaker 1: kid Washington, you also have Michael Meyer from Notre Dame,
• 36:51
Speaker 1: and then you also have who I think is getting
• 36:53
Speaker 1: the Iowa kid, Laporta. He's getting he's getting some buzz.
• 36:57
Speaker 1: But I'm going to go running back here you also
• 36:58
Speaker 1: want to seek Elliott. I'm going to go Jamior Gibbs.
• 37:01
Speaker 1: I'm going to give them the running back out of
• 37:03
Speaker 1: Alabama and say firepower. You can use them as a
• 37:06
Speaker 1: wide receiver at times in that kind of passing game.
• 37:08
Speaker 1: I'm going to say they need just talent on offense here.
• 37:10
Speaker 1: I'm going to say Jamir Gibs running back out of
• 37:13
Speaker 1: Alabama to the Cowboys. I like it, Bills, the Buffalo Bills.
• 37:22
Speaker 2: I mean I like the wide receiver here. Again, going
• 37:28
Speaker 2: back to Myama homes doctrine theory, I know Jack Campbell,
• 37:33
Speaker 2: linebacker from Iowa. I would not sleep on that here
• 37:36
Speaker 2: with what they lost the free agency. So no Tremaine Edmonds.
• 37:40
Speaker 2: Is it Jack Campbell to replace him? I'm gonna go
• 37:45
Speaker 2: I want to get a new name in the mix here,
• 37:46
Speaker 2: so I'm going to give you Matthew. I'm going to
• 37:48
Speaker 2: give you Matthew Bergeron. He's a tackle guard from Syracuse
• 37:54
Speaker 2: that has a lot of love on the streets for him.
• 37:58
  Speaker 2: He's a good player. I liked him. I thought he's
• 38:01
Speaker 2: the second round guy. But I think because we have
• 38:04
Speaker 2: you know, he's next in line. When you look at
• 38:06
Speaker 2: the the linemen that are already gone. I think he's
• 38:08
Speaker 2: going to go up higher than people think. So let's
• 38:10
Speaker 2: let's get him on the board to identify him. All right,
• 38:12
Speaker 2: He'll play guard for them.
• 38:13
Speaker 1: I'm gonna do this. I love it, and I'm gonna
• 38:15
Speaker 1: do the same thing with my next pick. Because I'm
• 38:18
Speaker 1: the Cincinnati Bengals. I believe I gave them a tight
• 38:21
Speaker 1: end in my mock draw. I'm gonna change it up here.
• 38:25
Speaker 1: You've probably been talking about him a lot more than
• 38:27
  Speaker 1: I have. I didn't have my first round and I
• 38:28
Speaker 1: got multiple text saying you didn't include this player. I'm
• 38:31
Speaker 1: gonna go Anton Harrison out of Oklahoma offensive tackle. I
• 38:38
Speaker 1: know some teams have him in their top five at
• 38:39
Speaker 1: the position. Others say not in our top ten in
• 38:42
Speaker 1: the position. I think I'm going to go offensive line,
• 38:45
Speaker 1: especially if Jonah Williams is asking to be true. I
• 38:48
Speaker 1: don't know what's going on with their offensive line. Bengals.
• 38:50
Speaker 1: They add another one, Anton Harrison at Oklahoma.
• 38:53
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's interesting there are I'm probably in the lower
• 38:56
Speaker 2: camp on him, but I know he does have sponsors.
• 38:59
Speaker 2: And look, the Bengals just going to Boomer Sooner with
• 39:01
Speaker 2: the Orlando Brown and Anton Harrison as the bookends.
• 39:04
Speaker 1: There, there you go, all right, the Saint Joe Mixon
• 39:08
  Speaker 1: in the backfield.
• 39:09
Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, all right, we get to the Saints here, Peter.
• 39:12
Speaker 2: I mean, now, at this point in time, I wasn't
• 39:15
Speaker 2: even looking at the I wasn't looking at the fact
• 39:17
Speaker 2: that this was an odd team and not an even
• 39:19
Speaker 2: team because I wanted you to have to make this decision.
• 39:22
Speaker 2: But here I am faced with it.
• 39:24
Speaker 1: What I'm doing a thing on the show tomorrow. What
• 39:26
Speaker 1: Mickey loomis. I mean, they're the kind of team that
• 39:29
Speaker 1: they've hit so many guys that they also aren't scared
• 39:31
Speaker 1: to take the guy that no one else will. So
• 39:33
Speaker 1: what was it Peyton Henderson? What was his name? The
• 39:35
Speaker 1: guy Peyton? Peyton Turner and Marcus Davinpored a couple of
• 39:41
Speaker 1: years you were trading up for. Like, they're one of
• 39:43
Speaker 1: those teams that Mickey takes his guys and he's like,
• 39:45
Speaker 1: I'll deal with the criticism. Just I trust what I know,
• 39:48
Speaker 1: So go for it. Anything off the board with Mickey.
• 39:51
Speaker 2: Yeah, I was gosh, I was looking to go kind
• 39:54
Speaker 2: of off the board here, but I think I'm gonna
• 39:56
Speaker 2: I'm gonna go conservative. Let me just look at one
• 40:02
Speaker 2: more thing here to make sure that I'm not missing it.
• 40:06
Speaker 2: I'm is going to take Mayor here. I'm just going
• 40:08
Speaker 2: to take a tight end. I sold security blanket. Yeah,
• 40:14
Speaker 2: Notre Dame, well, Notre Dame tight end. Just a good
• 40:17
Speaker 2: all round player. I think he's one in a draft
• 40:20
Speaker 2: where there's a lot of guys who don't fit the
• 40:24
Speaker 2: specs undersize, there's there's all these question marks, like he
• 40:28
Speaker 2: might not ever be an a lead elite player, but
• 40:29
Speaker 2: he's going to be a good player. I feel like
• 40:31
Speaker 2: he's one of the few known quantities in this draft.
• 40:34
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you know how you loved and I always
• 40:37
Speaker 1: think of when it comes to tight ends. You loved
• 40:39
Speaker 1: Howkinson that you were right. He was great this year
• 40:44
Speaker 1: for the Vikings. You know, Eagles, pass rushing offensive line,
• 40:50
Speaker 1: pass rushing offensive line. I already went off the board
• 40:53
Speaker 1: with a running back and Jon Robinson. That's not what
• 40:58
Speaker 1: a j do. Will McDonald the fourth, We'll go out
• 41:00
Speaker 1: of Iowa State, send him to Philly and uh turn
• 41:04
Speaker 1: them loose, let him fly. You know, people like him
• 41:08
Speaker 1: in the league. I guess he's a first round pick.
• 41:09
Speaker 1: It's not his early second. So got a Matt Campbell,
• 41:14
Speaker 1: Nick Sirianni connection there. Those guys are tight. So we'll
• 41:17
Speaker 1: go there last pick on the draft, and there are
• 41:19
Speaker 1: a lot of guys left.
• 41:20
Speaker 2: No, I think I have no choice here. I'm going
• 41:23
Speaker 2: to take Miles Murphy.
• 41:24
Speaker 1: Miles mary had a Clemson.
• 41:26
Speaker 2: Yeah, he's my twenty second player. He's you know, he
• 41:29
Speaker 2: kind of fits that big, sturdy, rugged edge rusher. You
• 41:32
Speaker 2: think about Frank Clark, the type of guys they like
• 41:34
Speaker 2: to play with Carl Loftis. Those guys are big, physical guys,
• 41:38
Speaker 2: and I think Murphy would fit that. So Frank Clark
• 41:41
Speaker 2: is gone, and now you just throw him in there
• 41:44
Speaker 2: with Carl Loftis and off you go.
• 41:45
Speaker 1: All right, So DJ at the end, there we went
• 41:48
Speaker 1: gibbs bergeron Harrison Meyer, McDonald, Murphy. I'll recap the entire
• 41:53
Speaker 1: first round, but let me just give you some names.
• 41:55
Speaker 1: Let's go to your top fifty. Some guys that names
• 41:58
Speaker 1: did not come up. Your twenty second ranked player is
• 42:00
Speaker 1: Zay Flowers. We did not select him in the first
• 42:02
Speaker 1: round of this draft. Elijah Cansey was not selected in
• 42:10
Speaker 1: this draft. Banks was twenty five. Darnell Washington was not
• 42:15
Speaker 1: selected in this draft. Canty. You mentioned Keon White at
• 42:18
Speaker 1: a Georgia Tech not drafted in this draft, and uh,
• 42:22
Speaker 1: Brian Branch was, and then Felix and then Duke.
• 42:26
Speaker 2: It was that was gonna be my pick, and that
• 42:28
Speaker 2: in my last in my final mock draft. What I
• 42:30
Speaker 2: got to do next week? He might be my pick
• 42:32
Speaker 2: for Casey. So yeah, I like Casey taking it, taking
• 42:35
Speaker 2: one of these rugged edgereshers and somehow but in the
• 42:38
Speaker 2: way we did this time, you had Murphy there, so
• 42:40
  Speaker 2: I was taking.
• 42:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm looking around, I'm looking at any of there
• 42:44
Speaker 1: are any huge names that didn't get drafted, no other
• 42:46
Speaker 1: than that the Hendon Hooker. So Hooker doesn't get drafted
• 42:49
Speaker 1: if we do it this way, would that shock you
• 42:52
Speaker 1: if you fell out of the first round.
• 42:54
Speaker 2: No, I mean if you told me that Hendon Hooker
• 42:56
Speaker 2: was the eleventh pick, or Hendon Hooker went in the
• 42:58
Speaker 2: third round, that sounds crazy to say that, but I wouldn't.
• 43:02
  Speaker 2: I wouldn't be shocked. It's a weird draft. It's a
• 43:04
Speaker 2: weird situation with him age, injury, offense, Like, there's some
• 43:08
Speaker 2: questions there. I love the skill set, I love everything
• 43:11
Speaker 2: I've heard about him, and I can make a case
• 43:14
Speaker 2: to take him there. But I can also make a
• 43:15
Speaker 2: case of people saying there's just, you know, too many questions.
• 43:19
  Speaker 2: We'll wait.
• 43:20
Speaker 1: I believe there were thirteen trades on Day one last year.
• 43:24
Speaker 1: Does that sound like it's too much? I think that's
• 43:25
Speaker 1: the stat I got thirteen, So all of this could
• 43:29
Speaker 1: be moot. But DJ, do you want do you have
• 43:32
Speaker 1: two seconds for me to just go through the entire
• 43:33
Speaker 1: draft real quick? Go for it, Aaron, I'm going to
• 43:38
Speaker 1: just rattle them off, all right. Panthers one Bryce Young,
• 43:42
Speaker 1: two Texans Tyree Wilson, three Cardinals, Will Anderson, four Colts.
• 43:48
Speaker 1: Take Will Levis over CJ. Stroud, five Seahawks c J.
• 43:53
Speaker 1: Stroud to the Seattle Seahawks. No one has that anywhere.
• 43:56
Speaker 1: That's why I do this. Six Lions, Jalen Carter, seven
• 44:01
Speaker 1: Raiders Devin Witherspoon, eight Falcons Peter Scornski, nine Bears Christian Gonzales,
• 44:08
Speaker 1: ten Eagles Byjon Robinson, eleven Titans Jackson Smith, Najibba, I
• 44:14
Speaker 1: always get it wrong? What is it? Nijigba?
• 44:16
Speaker 2: Did I in jig in jigba? You're quote myself?
• 44:19
Speaker 1: I feel like I'm Jis constant Texans twelve. No one
• 44:24
Speaker 1: has them taking a quarterback with that to I mean
• 44:26
  Speaker 1: Anthony Richardson, He's sitting there. I don't know if that's
• 44:28
Speaker 1: why you draft him one, but gosh, what do we
• 44:31
Speaker 1: do with Richardson? What do you if he I.
• 44:34
  Speaker 2: Don't know where to put him. I don't. I don't
• 44:35
Speaker 2: like I haven't talked to somebody that says, you know
• 44:38
Speaker 2: what this team is a Richard like. I've talked to
• 44:40
Speaker 2: zillion people that say the cults are eleves. Now, I
• 44:43
Speaker 2: haven't talked to any I just don't know where to
• 44:44
  Speaker 2: put him. Gosh.
• 44:46
Speaker 1: Thirteen Jets, Broderick Jones, fourteen Patriots Paris Johnson, fifteen Packers
• 44:52
Speaker 1: Nolan Smith, another Georgia defender. You're right, they took two
• 44:55
Speaker 1: in the first round last year. Sixteen Commanders, Dalton Kincaid
• 44:59
Speaker 1: at a Utah tight end, seventeen Steelers Darnell Right, offensive
• 45:02
Speaker 1: tackle at a Tennessee Lions. Joey Porter junior out of
• 45:05
Speaker 1: Penn State Buccaneers, Lucas van Ness out of Iowa Seahawks.
• 45:10
Speaker 1: I don't know what the hell I was doing here, Oh,
• 45:12
Speaker 1: Cyrus Torrence twentieth overall sull Could it be? I don't know, right,
• 45:17
Speaker 1: big guy who knows twenty one Chargers, Jordan Addison wide
• 45:22
Speaker 1: receiver to USC Ravens twenty two, Emmanuel Forbes Vikings they
• 45:27
Speaker 1: go corner as well, Deontay Banks Jaguars go corner as well.
• 45:30
Speaker 1: Brian Branch Giants, Quintin Johnson wide receiver, TCU, Cowboys, Jamior
• 45:36
Speaker 1: Gibbs running back at Alabama, Bill's Matthew bergeron offensive lineman
• 45:41
Speaker 1: out of Syracuse, Bengals, Anton Harrison, offensive lineman at Oklahoma,
• 45:46
Speaker 1: Saint Michael Mayer out of Notre Dame Eagles, Will McDonald
• 45:51
Speaker 1: the fourth out of Iowa State, and then Miles Murphy
• 45:54
Speaker 1: out of Clemson finishes out the first round going to
• 45:56
Speaker 1: the Chiefs. That's a first round, folks. That is a
• 45:59
  Speaker 1: first round.
• 46:00
Speaker 2: Thirty one for thirty one, I nailed it.
• 46:02
  Speaker 1: That was fun.
• 46:03
Speaker 2: It's good stuff, man, It's a good exercise. And again
• 46:06
Speaker 2: I always tell people, one of my pet peeves through
• 46:08
Speaker 2: this process is not specifically mock draft related, but is
• 46:11
Speaker 2: when when people can throw out this guy's a top
• 46:16
Speaker 2: he's a first round pick. This guy is a top
• 46:18
Speaker 2: fifty pick all day long, and it's like, well, if
• 46:20
Speaker 2: I add up all the guys that you've said our
• 46:22
Speaker 2: first round picks, Like, there's not forty five of these
• 46:25
Speaker 2: guys going in the first round. So we got to
• 46:27
Speaker 2: stop saying all these guys are first round picks. When
• 46:29
Speaker 2: you do an exercise like this, you realize there's some
• 46:32
Speaker 2: really good players that aren't going to get picked in
• 46:34
Speaker 2: the first round in the NFL.
• 46:35
Speaker 1: I don't know, is it still Gil Brandt who does it?
• 46:38
Speaker 1: Like the NFL invites these guys and everyone assumes that,
• 46:41
Speaker 1: like the rig is in if they got invited to
• 46:44
Speaker 1: the draft and they're attending, they're going in the first round.
• 46:46
Speaker 1: That's not the case. How many drafts do you have
• 46:48
Speaker 1: to be at where you realize there's usually five to
• 46:50
Speaker 1: six guys in that green room the next day who
• 46:52
Speaker 1: were not selected day one.
• 46:54
Speaker 2: Yeah. No, I always say there's probably four guys that
• 46:57
Speaker 2: get invited every year that if you be honest, they
• 46:59
  Speaker 2: pack too soon.
• 47:01
Speaker 1: All right, Danel Jeremiah so excited for your work next week.
• 47:05
Speaker 1: You're going to be doing a lot of stuff obviously
• 47:06
Speaker 1: throughout the week, but most importantly Thursday night, Draft Night.
• 47:10
Speaker 1: I am an unabashed fan of our coverage of the
• 47:12
Speaker 1: NFL network. I know I'm very biased, but I know
• 47:15
Speaker 1: we're doing crossover stuff with ESPN, I beg of every
• 47:18
Speaker 1: listener put on NFL Network Night one, Night two, and
• 47:21
Speaker 1: then when you and I joined forces the special Day three,
• 47:24
Speaker 1: when we're on the table together, some of my favorite moments.
• 47:27
Speaker 2: I know what you just said, and I agree with you,
• 47:31
Speaker 2: except for one thing I will dispute. You said. My
• 47:33
Speaker 2: favorite thing is Thursday Night. But my favorite thing is
• 47:37
  Speaker 2: not Thursday night.
• 47:38
Speaker 1: Talk about Saturday night. Talk about it is.
• 47:40
Speaker 2: My favorite thing is Sunday night or no, Saturday, Nurday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday,
• 47:45
Speaker 2: Saturday Night. Me and Shregs. I'm holding up a picture
• 47:47
Speaker 2: right now. You're listening. You don't know what I'm doing.
• 47:49
Speaker 2: It's a picture of me and Shreggs having a nice
• 47:51
Speaker 2: romantic dinner at the belagio next to the window with
• 47:54
  Speaker 2: the fountain.
• 47:54
Speaker 1: We got a reservation at a hotel last here at
• 47:58
Speaker 1: five thirty Saturday after the draft, and it was at
• 48:02
Speaker 1: a restaurant that I want to say, was in the
• 48:03
Speaker 1: bolagio overlooking the fountains. And a man came by and said,
• 48:07
Speaker 1: I will take your photograph because it was so romantic.
• 48:09
Speaker 1: They thought we were a couple. I will take your
• 48:11
Speaker 1: photograph and you guys will put it in one of
• 48:14
Speaker 1: these sleeves and you can have the photograph and all
• 48:16
Speaker 1: this stuff, and I go, yeah, do it, do it.
• 48:17
Speaker 1: And then the guy charged me fifty eight dollars for
• 48:19
Speaker 1: said photograph. We split it, We split it, we split it.
• 48:23
Speaker 1: And guess what's in my dressing room right now? At
• 48:24
Speaker 1: Good Morning Football? There's literally like an NFL almanac. There
• 48:29
Speaker 1: is a bag of high chew candy, and then there
• 48:32
Speaker 1: is that picture. I don't have any pictures of my family.
• 48:35
Speaker 1: I have that picture of you and I at the
• 48:36
Speaker 1: ballagio overlooking the fountains. And guess what.
• 48:39
Speaker 2: I can't wait to see what you have cooked up
• 48:41
Speaker 2: for us this year. I can't wait.
• 48:43
Speaker 1: Annual tradition we have said, we've done this. We did this.
• 48:45
Speaker 1: I started in Nashville, and you and I both agree.
• 48:47
Speaker 1: And it's almost like are the feeling of when the
• 48:50
Speaker 1: draft is done. It feels like there's a seven thousand
• 48:53
Speaker 1: pound gorilla that is just off your shoulders, and you
• 48:55
Speaker 1: and I treat ourselves to a steak, a piece of fish,
• 48:57
Speaker 1: whatever it is. We enjoy each other's company.
• 48:59
Speaker 2: That Saturday night, Yeah, that's on again. It's one of
• 49:03
Speaker 2: my favorite days of the year. I can't wait for
• 49:04
Speaker 2: the draft, can't wait to be with you, buddy. We're
• 49:06
Speaker 2: going to have a blast, and I think this exercise
• 49:08
Speaker 2: proved that none of us really have any idea what's
• 49:10
Speaker 2: going to happen in this thing. Buckle up and enjoy
• 49:13
  Speaker 2: the ride.
• 49:13
Speaker 1: I'm just hoping for a lot of trade. So my
• 49:15
Speaker 1: mock draft, I have an excuse when it's all wrong
• 49:17
Speaker 1: on Thursday. That's it. Daniel Jeremiah at Move the Sticks,
• 49:21
Speaker 1: my favorite draft analyst and one of my favorite people
• 49:24
Speaker 1: that we work with here at the NFL Network, and
• 49:27
Speaker 1: just in general, it's awesome, dude.
• 49:28
  Speaker 2: And Aaron, I'm.
• 49:29
Speaker 1: Gonna let you sign us off here with the music
• 49:32
Speaker 1: because this was it mock draft. What's up? Doc? Can
• 49:35
Speaker 1: we mock everyone? Watching the NFL Draft coverage next week
• 49:38
Speaker 1: on NFL Network DJ.
• 49:39
