- 0:23It is time to leave your worries outside and join us inside the treehouse.
- 0:31Us being meet Daniel Malley along with Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma. Day four.
- 0:37We're on Day four because today's Thursday of Super Stupid Week inside the Treehouse
- 0:42leading up to Super Bowl fifty eight in Las Vegas. We are not at
- 0:48Radio Row because number one, we are not on the radio, and number
- 0:51two, even when we were on the radio, we didn't go because they
- 0:54didn't want to pay for us to go to the super Bowl because they would
- 0:59well, they knew better. Whereas we are doing our own celebration of the
- 1:04Super Bowl leading up to the Super Bowl Super Stupid Week inside the Treehouse,
- 1:07culminating that's right, we know, big words in here, culminating with a
- 1:12big live show maybe on Monday, the day after the Super Bowl, as
- 1:18long as I get all the technology figured out between now and then, and
- 1:21based on yesterday's fiasco with quote unquote on air talent trying to be engineers at
- 1:27the same time. This is the reason why radio stations have different departments with
- 1:32people doing different things, mainly being keep the on air talent idiots away from
- 1:37as much of the equipment and the important stuff as possible, because that's the
- 1:41engineer's job. So we've had to learn from engineering on our end. Hang
- 1:45on, So given that model, what happens when you don't have either what
- 1:55engineers are on air talent? Uh, well, you get a freaky situation.
- 2:09I was wondering how to phrase it, and you did. You did
- 2:13it? Say it right? But well done, you know what. I
- 2:19wasn't gonna say anything like that. But but Trey opened those doors up so
- 2:23wide, and I saw it on his face. He wanted me to bring
- 2:25it home and I said, okay, I'll do it for you. Trey.
- 2:29Thank you. There are some very very talented freaks out there. There's
- 2:35also some that aren't, but there are some there. I've played my diplomatic
- 2:40role a little bit there. Yeah. Anyway, No, just just just
- 2:47just a few the not the caro what I think anyway, The the dangerous
- 2:54side of any sort of content creation, be it broadcast, digital is if
- 3:01you have to do your own engineering. And that's a very scary thing for
- 3:06someone like me to do. But I've had to learn a fair amount over
- 3:07to over the last year plus, and I now am I believe in addition
- 3:13to being the owner and president or whatever other made up title I want to
- 3:15give myself like a like a vp AT. iHeart made up titles run amuck
- 3:23inside the treehouse. So I am the owner, I'm the president. I
- 3:27could call myself CEO, even though it's not really applicable in our setup.
- 3:31I'm also I'm also now head of it, which is terrifying that I should
- 3:37be in charge of anything involving it. That should be my job it stereotypically
- 3:42speaking, it should be. But instead it's me and Tredy, the two
- 3:45white guys trying to tell Raj the Indian how to get his Internet in computer
- 3:49working. I know. That's that's the sad thing. And the truth matter
- 3:53is is that you know, this is all a product of the fact that
- 3:58the greatest accelerator, innovator of the Internet and technology is porn. So and
- 4:03your only Dan's accounts. You know, you you have to stay on the
- 4:06forefront. Yeah, I mean, you've got to sell as many dandos as
- 4:11you can. Yeah. Speaking of which, oh, okay, if if
- 4:18all things go according to plan, which sometimes they do in here, sometimes
- 4:24they don't. But if all things go according to plan, we will be
- 4:29introducing a brand new Dando tomorrow inside the Treehouse. Wow, did we have
- 4:33a a former Dando? Oh, there's there's many former There's there's a whole
- 4:40product line raj okay, and it's been a while since h p LD Inc.
- 4:46Has released a new one, and that will also be in celebration of
- 4:51the Super Bowl. Oh really, Okay, Well, I hope the I
- 4:57hope the shipping. The shipping is swift. That's not the only thing that
- 5:02will be swift. All right. There's something that very important that we need
- 5:11to discuss here five minutes into this Thursday episode of Day five of Super Stupid
- 5:17Week Inside the Treehouse, and that is Trey, you now have something new
- 5:24you can whip out on dates. Yes, I do. And uh,
- 5:30reach into my pants and pull this out. I'm gonna, I'm gonna.
- 5:36Okay, what is it, Trey. I'll let you do the honors for
- 5:43ra You can tell him what what what resides in your pants that you'll be
- 5:48whipping out on dates consensually? Well, I mean actually probably probably not.
- 5:59There might be a little embarrassment with this. I just like, look at
- 6:01it this way. It is impressive, Okay, to soak people to others.
- 6:08It might scare some Yeah, oh wow, I'm gonna show it to
- 6:13you. Oh god, oh well done. But Trey is now an official
- 6:20card carrying member of the Association for Retired Persons. If you if you break
- 6:30that out on a first date, just just know that every Indian everywhere is
- 6:35like, he's one of us. They're just gonna change on like tree ish
- 6:46Ish is one of us. Tradgend, we love tragenda. He's one of
- 6:55us. I've put it off Applebee's. I'm very excited for you, Trey,
- 7:03card carrying member. What's the what the letters stand for again? It's
- 7:06a ARP. Is it the American Association for Retired Persons? I think it's
- 7:13the Association for the Advancement of Retired Persons Retired People, I think. I
- 7:19think you're taking two organizations. I don't think. I don't think there was
- 7:28a merger between a ARP and the nub A CP. I feel like that
- 7:32would have made news, Trey. That would have been great association. It's
- 7:38not enough to be recognized as a retired person, but we also need to
- 7:42make sure that they advanced. Oh somewhere somewhere, big state, who is
- 8:01one of our favorite listeners. And he also happens to be a black man,
- 8:05and I believe he is close to, if not of the age to
- 8:09have an AARP card. Is flipping it over right now to see if it's
- 8:16a twofer. The National Association for the Advancement of Retired People, or I
- 8:30mean, according to Trey, if with that merger would have been great for
- 8:33the National Association for the Advancement of Colored Retired People, Like that'd be amazing.
- 8:48I would be so proud to be a member. You know, early
- 8:54nine minutes into this and I feel like this treehouse is overflowing with stupid I'd
- 9:01also like to give us credit on picking up the flag and for the advancement
- 9:09of retired people, a flag that clearly no one else had the courage to
- 9:13pick up. We'll be doing to five k next month retired people, but
- 9:28not just for retired people, the advancement. We'll try to make Wilford Brimley's
- 9:39birthday a national holiday. Started oatmeal the whole time. Oh well, that
- 9:54does remind me that you are to at the same age as Wilfred Brimley h
- 10:00when he's starting cocoon. That is a piece of information that you told us
- 10:03a week or two ago, and I have not forgotten. It was,
- 10:11yeah, like we can age them up, We're good. So I'm uh,
- 10:20I'm wondering, Tray. So, have you had a chance to use
- 10:22your AARP card yet? Did? Were you able to use that when you
- 10:28had tire trouble on seventy five the other day? No? And the only
- 10:33reason because I used my Triple A membership for that, But no, Yeah,
- 10:39I was going to McKinney. And what's triple A? Is that for
- 10:43the advancement of automobiles? Shouldn't be triple AARP? How many cards do you
- 10:58have? You're just bragging at this point, Triple A. And I think
- 11:11I think, I think Big Stacey gave you one of his a few years
- 11:13back. I don't remember. I remember which car that was, Dan,
- 11:20Do you remember, Nope. The advantage of having a poor memory, it's
- 11:30kept me out of trouble many times. That was I do not recall that,
- 11:35Senator. You know the only thing you didn't do was cover the mic
- 11:41and then just look over at somebody like getting advice. I did not recall.
- 11:50I have no recollection of anyway. Uh, You're okay though, after
- 11:56the after the the trouble on seventy five. What happened? I just I
- 12:01my right front tire. I luckily I felt it. I felt something wrong,
- 12:07and so I was able to get over to the right lane, and
- 12:11luckily I was right by the Virginia Parkway exit. So the scariest thing actually
- 12:16for me was I had Daisy with me, and so I'm like worried that
- 12:22if, yeah, something happens that I when I drive and for long distances
- 12:26or anything like over fifteen minutes. I put her in her kennel and I
- 12:30actually strap it in the car like a car seat. So everything was okay.
- 12:35Just it's anytime you're stranded on the highway, it is scary. Well,
- 12:39I think I think actually having Daisy, your three pounds shuahua with you
- 12:46while having car trouble with being an advantage, because I mean there are plenty
- 12:48of men that pull over for stranded bitches and twoss ones too. Really long
- 13:09time dot com that's how she flags down that roadside assistance. I had a
- 13:20flat and I got a set of four new tires. Let's get Jacquelin from
- 13:33Brooks Plumbing into the treehouse now two one, four through six, eight thirty
- 13:35eight thirty eight is the number you need to call for any and all of
- 13:37those plumbing once and needs. The website Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. Uh
- 13:43I think famous last words, most of the bad, deep hard freezes are
- 13:48going to be behind us in North Texas. But does that mean people are
- 13:52out of the woods and that they're plumbing's okay or could there still be problems
- 13:56that come up. I think at this point, if you've had a freeze,
- 14:00you know about it, even if it was really small. I mean,
- 14:03unless there's just rooms that you never go in, there's no way that
- 14:07you wouldn't know. At this point in time. I still see people trying
- 14:11to pass it off in insurance claims, and that's interesting. And so I
- 14:16had a claim that I did for a homeowner here recently and they're, oh,
- 14:20it was the freeze and it was a new build and it was not
- 14:24a freeze. It was just poor construction. And I've actually kind of been
- 14:28seeing that in the industry. There's been I don't want to say which home
- 14:33builder, there's been a lot of just houses just kind of almost falling down,
- 14:39you know, things that weren't completed, joys that weren't properly put together.
- 14:45So if you're buying a new new house, you still need to have
- 14:48your brand new house inspected. I don't know how we went from freezing to
- 14:50that, but new houses are not excused from being defective in any capacity,
- 14:56so still get those looked at. I think we got there because anytime I
- 14:58asked you a question, you always give a very smart, well informed answer,
- 15:03and you sometimes expand to other areas, making me feel smart and well
- 15:07informed. So thank you. You can get that as well. So called
- 15:11Jaqueline from Brooks Plumbing two one four three six eight thirty eight thirty eight.

- 15:26and NBC's Last Comic Standing, where he was runner up in a field of
- 15:30over a thousand comedians. It's Lachlan Patterson, man, I love football,
- 15:33which it was there on that day when they're trying to figure out how to
- 15:37start the game. That's an interesting rule that probably the quarterback in the center
- 15:39figured that one out, just staring at the ball. All right, pretty
- 15:41much ready to go? How do you want to start this game? I
- 15:46tell you, why, why don't you just hand me that ball through your
- 15:48butt and we'll get going. Excuse me, just give me that ball through
- 15:52your button. We'll play football. Well, this seems ridiculous. I mean,
- 15:56for one thing, I can't even see you facing the exact ops way.
- 16:00How will I know when to give it to you? Tell you what
- 16:03I'll do. I'll get right behind you and I'll gently rest my hands in
- 16:06between your legs, and when I want the ball, just tap you on
- 16:10the nuts a couple of times. Pall you. That's Lochwin Patterson this Friday

- 17:42call for any and all of those plumbing wants and needs. And I don't
- 17:51One of the things that I was looking forward to with this super stupid week
- 17:53doing multiple shows, uh you know, days in a row like we used
- 18:00to do on the radio, was being able to talk about things in a
- 18:03more timely fashion, like being able to mention, you know, Toby Keith
- 18:06and Carl Weather's dying, or the fact that Trey got his advancement of Retired
- 18:11Person's card in the mail this week that I might have had to have you
- 18:18might have had to have waited a whole additional week to hear about that,
- 18:19But we were able to inform you almost immediately of that wonderful news to hit
- 18:26Trey's home and you and you, and you got it in February, so
- 18:32you just in time for Valentine's to Day and Black History Month? Is there
- 18:45a Retired Person's Month or is that just? Is that every month? So
- 18:57the reason why I bring up the advantage of being able to talk about things
- 19:00as they happen in a more timely fashion, we can actually talk about current
- 19:04events as they currently happen. I would like to bring up a story we
- 19:08heard about many weeks ago, and that is the news that came out about
- 19:17some kid beating Tetris Wow. And that was serious news to me because I
- 19:23didn't even know that was possible. Like I was able to beat some video
- 19:29games back in my day, you know, I was able to beat Sonic
- 19:32the Hedgehog, two. I believe I even beat Mario Brothers a couple of
- 19:37times while I, you know, make sure I found the secret tunnels that
- 19:41help you skip like fifteen levels and get to the end. I was able
- 19:44to do that. You know, there are some other games I've I've been
- 19:48quote unquote successful at beating. Did you ever beat Mike Tyson? I did
- 19:55I even beat Mike Tyson back in the day. Okay, I still there
- 19:59are there are There are two. There are two games though that I have
- 20:03not beaten. One is Mario Kart against my wife. Right, she's the
- 20:11uh, she's the title She's the title holder in Mario Karton in our house,
- 20:15and it's it's really truly mean of her. Whenever she says, hey,
- 20:18you want to you want to play Mario Kart tonight, she might as
- 20:22well just say, hey, do you want many kick your ass? Tonight?
- 20:23Was like. And the other is Tetris. I loved Tetris when it
- 20:27came out. I had a Game Boy, the old black and white thing,
- 20:30and I played the hell out of Tetris. I never even knew it
- 20:33was possible to beat that game. Well. And then a few weeks ago
- 20:37news breaks that some kid actually did it? Oh kid did it? Huh?
- 20:41What'sh what's style of asion? Was he? It's the truly rare Asian
- 20:48raj and that is the Oklahoma no, no living in Oklahoma. It's an
- 21:00Oklahoma kid, and I think he's unless he's an even rarer find of Oklahoma
- 21:04white Asian. His name is Willis Gibson. No, it's not. He
- 21:14adopted the whitest sounding name, but like Vietnamese kid adopted by the Gibsons,
- 21:18and they just named him based on the you look it up. Look up
- 21:23some kid beat Tetris. You'll see a photo. It's a kid in some
- 21:26glasses. He's thirteen years old and he's from Oklahoma. He did not beat
- 21:33Okay, this is what this is. Okay, you guys got the story
- 21:37wrong. How what white kids don't beat Tetris? Okay, this was right.
- 21:44Hey if if his name was Patel, then you would be like,
- 21:47yeah, okay, I believe it solid Yeah, okay, yeah, like
- 21:53you know, to lean into hy stereotypes, it's not okay for us.
- 22:00I just try to get a clarification. I'm just asking you, guys,
- 22:03what was the last time you guys wanted spelling bee? You think you're going
- 22:04to break Tetris. Let's let's be honest about our stereotypes. But if it
- 22:08was like, hey, I believe the spelling bee was broken for white people
- 22:12when that when that little white boy was asked to spell nigus. After that,
- 22:21no white kids wanted to even try out. They're like, we're not
- 22:23doing this anymores. Okay, that one's fair. The words are stacked against
- 22:30us at that. They're like, can we skip this word? Like he
- 22:33should have like I'd like to pass. Uh no, I'm re okay.
- 22:37So if it would have been like schrasian Jing beat Tetras, something like that
- 22:41sounds that sounds about right when it's like oky thirteen year old Oklahoma Willis Gipson,
- 22:47and I just looked it up. He didn't beat Tetris. He crashed
- 22:51the system. He got I'll give him enough. He got to the high
- 22:56enough level to where it crashed the system. It crashed the game. He
- 23:00didn't. He didn't. He didn't beat it. That's because the game didn't
- 23:03have any it didn't have any more moves, so it just old. It
- 23:06always has more moves. The viral video of Willis Gibson's thirty eight minute game
- 23:11posted under his blue Scooty screen name, is the latest spike in nostalgia for
- 23:15the addictive and enduring game created by a Soviet engineer in nineteen eighty four,
- 23:21which, by the way, was a good movie on Apple Plus Yes and
- 23:25popularized the Nintendo Entertainment system. To date, over two hundred official variants of
- 23:30Tetris have been released on at least seventy systems. Let's see thirty eight minute
- 23:41viral video Willis Gibson said, after his feet I'm going to pass out.
- 23:47I can't feel my fingers. You know, ironically, I too had that
- 23:53experience as a thirteen year old, but it certainly a blind to I did
- 24:22not go blind permanently, at least at least not permanently. Maybe maybe that's
- 24:30where the memory loss comes from. If that's the case, we're all screwed.
- 24:37That's the real cause of dementia. That will be a blank slate by
- 24:45sixty I would hate to be that hospice care seeing your forms. You don't
- 25:00wanna. It's gonna be a sticky It's a sticky situation. You want to
- 25:03Oh God, don't go in there. All right, we will see you
- 25:17tomorrow for a special Friday edition Inside the Treehouse. See you in there, se
