  Daredevil Born Again season 2. It is called the Grand Design

  and I just finished watching it. The one thing about this video,

  this episode episode, the one thing about this episode is that

  it will make you jump to conclusions.

  The whole time I thought I knew what was about to happen.
• 0:32
  I knew it was around the next corner.
• 0:34
  And no, I absolutely did not. So if you'll recall in the last
• 0:39
  episode, I said that Vanessa was not dead.
• 0:42
  There's no way they were going to kill her off because that
• 0:44
  would make the mayor's speech with her and the female mayor
• 0:46
  completely useless. Well, here we are.

  She was not dead. I was right, but we'll get to
• 0:56
  it. So what happens?
• 0:59
  We start in Vanessa's in the hospital.

  Everyone is freaking out. Kingpin is freaking out.
• 1:05
  BB wants to meet with Daniel. BB wants to know if she's
• 1:07
  actually dead so she can have a correct story in the press.

  Daniel is pissed. So that makes me very worried
• 1:14
  for BB in the future. So think about that.
• 1:18
  We're also, during all of this, we're going through Vanessa's
• 1:21
  dreams. I guess we're kind of having
• 1:23
  flashbacks of how her life was before all of the Kingpin stuff,
• 1:26
  all of everything, her life and the art world.
• 1:30
  We also did get to see her and Kingpin briefly on the beach,
• 1:33
  which I would like more information on.
• 1:37
  But yeah, we also see Vanessa when she first sees the white
• 1:40
  painting. That is such a big it's such a
• 1:44
  big thing in her and Kingpin's relationship, which is sad.
• 1:49
  But Speaking of flashbacks, we also have a flashback of our man
• 1:52
  Foggy comes back and I so missed the avocados at law lawyer
• 1:58
  lawyering together. It was everything to me.

  We see them working for a felon who calls Foggy, Foggy the
• 2:04
  fembot, which automatically means that we hate that felon
• 2:07
  but not Foggy. Foggy wants to do the right
• 2:09
  thing by his client, but Matt wants to stick it to him with
• 2:12
  the law, which is fair. What else happens in these
• 2:15
  flashbacks? Wesley, It was so good to see
• 2:18
  him back. And there was a point where him
• 2:22
  and Fisk are trying to diversify their pay and how everything
• 2:26
  works. And at one point the Kingpin
• 2:28
  says, are you familiar with Bitcoin?
• 2:30
  Which actually made me laugh really, really hard.
• 2:33
  But this also leads into how Kingpin gets into the art world,
• 2:38
  which is interesting because we never actually saw that.
• 2:41
  We only saw him show up to the Art Museum and have a thing for
• 2:44
  Vanessa. That's where it all started.
• 2:47
  So we switched back. Wilson is still at the hospital.
• 2:52
  He's watching Vanessa surgery. They, the doctors are very
• 2:55
  nervous for the surgery. Then we go to what's happening
• 2:59
  with Bullseye. Bullseye is bleeding out and
• 3:01
  Daredevil tries to help. Daredevil takes Bullseye to the
• 3:04
  church and can I just say the lighting in these scenes were so
• 3:10
  beautiful. Oh, I'm so happy they did.
• 3:12
  It was so dramatic and I loved it.
• 3:14
  But there's one thing I want to point out.
• 3:16
  In this particular scene, Matt mentions a nurse that can help.
• 3:21
  Is he talking about Claire Temple, the night nurse?
• 3:25
  I mean, who else would he be talking about?
• 3:26
  So does that mean we're going to get Claire in the next episode
• 3:30
  and she's going to go help Bullseye, you know, recover and
• 3:32
  all that? That's what I think.
• 3:34
  But then again, my my theories mean nothing, So what can you
• 3:40
  do? But there is also an interesting
• 3:42
  heart to heart with Bullseye that takes place while switching
• 3:45
  scenes with Foggy, who's being that dude.
• 3:48
  He's being that guy and helping his felon client, which Foggy's
• 3:53
  always been that guy, and these flashbacks did nothing but
• 3:57
  cement that fact. But back to the hospital.

  The press found out where Vanessa was and Buck stood up
• 4:02
  and got rid of them. Buck.
• 4:06
  Buck had serious BDE in the scene and I want that pointed
• 4:09
  out. But then we there something
• 4:12
  weird happens. Buck and Daniel's friendship is
• 4:14
  going well, like it's blooming, it's blossoming, right?
• 4:17
  So that probably means 1 is going to kill the other at some
• 4:19
  point because no one can be happy in the show.
• 4:23
  But then it leads to Buck thinking Daniel is guilty of the
• 4:26
  leaks, which is which this whole time it, it speaks to Daniel's
• 4:31
  character because not once does he snitch on BB, even though he
• 4:35
  knows she's the one he told her he knows.
• 4:38
  But not once does he say it wasn't me, it was BB.
• 4:41
  Like that's, that's pretty big of them.
• 4:43
  Even though when he, he thought he was going to die, I thought
• 4:46
  he was going to die. We all thought he was going to
• 4:48
  die. No one can.
• 4:49
  No one can say they didn't. But then it goes even farther
• 4:53
  back. Wesley was the one that
• 4:54
  recruited Buck, so I like that little tie in.
• 4:57
  That was really cool. I like that a lot.

  So speaking on Daredevil and Bullseye, they're at the church.
• 5:04
  They think they're safe, but the task force knows Daredevil and
• 5:07
  Bullseye are there. So of course they bust in.
• 5:11
  Daredevil gets bucked, Daredevil gets Bullseye somewhere safe,
• 5:16
  and it's not safe for long because the task force has
• 5:19
  already forced their way in. Bullseye wants Daredevil to let
• 5:23
  him die. Daredevil leaves and apologizes,
• 5:26
  but goes back after thinking of Foggy and what he does for other
• 5:29
  people when Foggy says he is celebrating because of mercy.
• 5:34
  So that was that was a pretty powerful moment.
• 5:37
  I think Daredevil carries Bullseye and Karen sees him and
• 5:41
  I just know this is going to be a fight between them and the
• 5:44
  next episode. There's no way.
• 5:46
  Bullseye has tried to take out Karen way too many times for
• 5:49
  Karen to be cool with this. So I'm very, very excited to see
• 5:53
  that fight. But that's where we leave off
• 5:57
  Daredevil and Bullseye. Now Vanessa, Vanessa, Vanessa is
• 6:03
  awake and she Wilson thinks she's thriving and she's not.
• 6:11
  She, she started acting really weird and I thought, OK, could
• 6:16
  this be she's lost her memory? Could she be acting weird
• 6:21
  because she's decided she's not down with whatever Wilson has
• 6:24
  set up for the crime underworld that she's going to turn on him
• 6:28
  like in the comics? That's what I thought.
• 6:31
  And then she said, tell me a story.
• 6:33
  And I was like, OK, maybe she's not.
• 6:38
  Maybe she's OK. But then she asks it again.
• 6:41
  And that's when you're like, if anyone that's watched a doctor's
• 6:44
  show, anyone that's watched Grey's Anatomy, we all know
• 6:46
  about the surge. That was the surge.
• 6:49
  We all know about it when they get this positive leaf on life
• 6:54
  where they are just happy and they're looking forward to the
• 6:58
  future and they have this energy and then it all comes crashing
• 7:01
  down. And that's what happened with
• 7:03
  Vanessa. She died.
• 7:06
  So I just want to point out that I said she was alive and I was
• 7:11
  right, but then she died. Also, I want to point out that
• 7:15
  Vanessa does die in the comics. She does die, but she's revived
• 7:19
  by the Hand, Who is a very big presence in the next Spider Man
• 7:25
  movie for some reason. So think about that.
• 7:28
  She they actually go after Vanessa, find her body, revive
• 7:33
  her so she can fight Kingpin because Kingpin is taking over
• 7:38
  as the Hand and they want to prove him worthy, so they use
• 7:40
  her. So yeah, very interested to see
• 7:46
  if that actually plays out because that would be fantastic.
• 7:49
  I would be down for it, so into it.
• 7:53
  So it's like what's about to happen because what I think
• 7:56
  because we still have not gotten Jessica Jones and I don't expect
• 7:58
  her to have a big presence in this show by any means.

  But I do think that because of Vanessa's death that he kingpin
• 8:10
  will go super, super hard on the anti vigilante standpoint, which
• 8:14
  I get it. You know, Vanessa just died.
• 8:16
  What do you expect him to do? So I think that's going to
• 8:19
  happen and he's going to go after all vigilantes, all of
• 8:23
  them, including Jessica Jones, including Luke Cage, including
• 8:28
  any vigilante he can get his little hands on.
• 8:31
  So that's what I think brings Jessica Jones in because he's
• 8:34
  been after vigilantes this whole time and she hasn't been
• 8:37
  bothered once or she's just been dealing with him by herself.
• 8:41
  I don't know. But there is a lot that happened
• 8:44
  this episode. I know some people are going to
• 8:47
  say it was a filler episode. I know, I know you guys are
• 8:50
  going to do it and don't do it. We got so many good things.
• 8:53
  We got to see Foggy again. We got to see Avocados at Law.
• 8:56
  We got to see Wesley. We got a slight night nurse
• 9:00
  reference which might lead to something.
• 9:03
  We get to see what happened to Kingpin, who is going to be out
• 9:09
  of his freaking mind in the next episode.

  And I am excited. I am so wonderfully excited to
• 9:15
  see where this goes. I'm also interested to see where
• 9:20
  we leave off with Daniel and Buck.

  I got to say, Buck is knocking out of the park.
• 9:25
  Man, that guy just gets it. He just knows what to do.
• 9:28
  He just knows how to how to grab his inner Wesley.
• 9:33
  That's a weird way to say how to harness his inner Wesley and
• 9:36
  show it brightly. And that's what he's doing now,
• 9:40
  even though I think Kingpin will have some, I don't know, some
• 9:46
  ill will towards Buck for not being there, even though he sent
• 9:49
  him away, I think he will have some kind of feelings like why
• 9:53
  weren't you there? You should have stayed.
• 9:55
  I think he's going to find, he's going to find blame wherever he
• 9:59
  can do it. And I think it's going to go on

  everyone except Daniel. Daniel seems to be the only one
• 10:06
  that was there be the only one that's had his back.

  Daniel's really his best guy, which is crazy.
• 10:13
  Buck is his best guy too, but in Kingpins eyes, Daniel was there
• 10:17
  the whole time. I'm just rambling now.

  So yeah, this episode was fantastic.

  We got so many good things, we got so many bad things, we got
• 10:26
  so many great things and it was an episode that kept you on your
• 10:32
  toes. So that is my breakdown for the
• 10:35
  episode. That is my review for the
• 10:37
  episode. I really liked it.

  No freaking idea what's about to happen in the next one.

  I do think we're going to see the anti vigilante task force go
• 10:46
  even harder than they are now, so that's going to be pretty
• 10:50
  crazy. This was my review for the 5th
• 10:53
  episode of Daredevil Born Again season 2.
