Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: The Force will be with you always.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Hello, everyone, Welcome back to another episode of Star Wars
- 0:22Speaker 2: lines your home on Geeklesalliance Podcast Network for any n oh,
- 0:26Speaker 2: thanks Star Wars. I'm your host as always Katie and
- 0:30Speaker 2: with me as previewed. Even though the technical wizards of
- 0:34Speaker 2: the universe did not want us to talk about this,
- 0:36Speaker 2: apparently it's Clay, Clay, how are you doing?
- 0:40Speaker 3: I'm doing pretty good. Let's hope whatever happened is only
- 0:45Speaker 3: going to happen then and not in the middle of
- 0:48Speaker 3: the episode like it did last week. Speaking of last week,
- 0:53Speaker 3: I can't remember if I cut that out or not.
- 0:58Speaker 3: And I don't usually listen back to our episode because
- 1:00Speaker 3: I don't like to listen to myself talk. So, uh,
- 1:05Speaker 3: if anybody would like to, you know, harp on how
- 1:08Speaker 3: bad my editing skills are, you can totally do that
- 1:11Speaker 3: and let me know. But we're not here alone.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Yes, we've got contributor to But why though, the one
- 1:18Speaker 2: and only Adrian himself Adrian, how are you doing?
- 1:23Speaker 4: Clay asked me this when we started, and I'm kind
- 1:25Speaker 4: of torn because, like I'm currently playing, uh, Star Wars
- 1:29Speaker 4: Outlaws for content for but why though? But I'm also
- 1:32Speaker 4: like very upset this more as as time goes on
- 1:36Speaker 4: for the Acolyte. But other than like Star Wars stuff
- 1:38Speaker 4: being crazy, everything's pretty good.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that's really good, all right, y'all. But yes, if
- 1:44Speaker 2: you have seen the title, the Acolyte was in fact canceled,
- 1:48Speaker 2: the first of its kind for Disney Plus. But we're
- 1:54Speaker 2: here to talk about that. We're here to talk about
- 1:56Speaker 2: Edge of Balance volume three today, So oh, buckalo your seatbelts,
- 2:03Speaker 2: because I know for a fact the disclaimer here is
- 2:07Speaker 2: is that we are all upset by the Accolade being canceled,
- 2:10Speaker 2: point blank. So if you're here to talk about why
- 2:13Speaker 2: you're happy the Accolade has been canceled, maybe this isn't
- 2:18Speaker 2: the show for you. I just want to let you
- 2:20Speaker 2: know that immediately controls will be plocked. So we got
- 2:25Speaker 2: that disclaimer out of the way. So Clay, why don't
- 2:32Speaker 2: you walk us into this.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Yeah, by the way, I'm gonna be referencing something that
- 2:40Speaker 3: not a whole lot of people are gonna know because
- 2:42Speaker 3: it is a inside joke with the geek Verse and
- 2:47Speaker 3: Gua crew. But I got a notification on my phone
- 2:52Speaker 3: from I believe it was oh gosh, maybe deadline maybe
- 3:00Speaker 3: Hollywood reporter. I can't remember who it was. I think
- 3:03Speaker 3: it was in fact deadline on Twitter, and the first
- 3:09Speaker 3: thing I saw was breaking Acolyte, and my heart immediately
- 3:18Speaker 3: sank to my gut. I opened the notification, I saw
- 3:22Speaker 3: that it was canceled, and I was gonna share it
- 3:24Speaker 3: to our gua chat, and then I saw that Travis
- 3:26Speaker 3: had already shared it, and I was like, I'm not
- 3:27Speaker 3: getting flash meaned today, so I am not going to
- 3:31Speaker 3: share it. Flash meaned is we continuously harp on each
- 3:37Speaker 3: other for double posting news all over our chat, and
- 3:42Speaker 3: we use the CW flash gift as a meme to
- 3:47Speaker 3: one another, like, hey, you need to be faster next
- 3:49Speaker 3: time if you want to post or share. So that's
- 3:53Speaker 3: what that means. But yeah, immediately after the news broke,
- 4:02Speaker 3: there was so much coming into Twitter, as far as fans, trolls,
- 4:12Speaker 3: other news sites putting their opinions on Acolyte was trending
- 4:19Speaker 3: in like four different categories on my Space of Twitter.
- 4:24Speaker 3: So a hat my Space Twitter. Sorry, I had to
- 4:29Speaker 3: follow that rabbit. So I know that there is a
- 4:35Speaker 3: lot of feedback from this news. I am very angry
- 4:41Speaker 3: at this information and this breaking news. To the point.
- 4:48Speaker 5: Where you know, I, I immediately start to go towards
- 4:53Speaker 5: the absolute negative, which is probably not healthy for me,
- 4:58Speaker 5: but I'm like, okay.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Why would they do this? Of course the biggest yelling
- 5:03Speaker 3: into the void for a lot of US fans. And
- 5:09Speaker 3: I know, Adrian, you added your two cents into this,
- 5:13Speaker 3: and I do genuinely believe there is some truth to this.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Others may believe it's not, but the trolls one the
- 5:31Speaker 3: negativity of the review bombing before episode airs episodes aired,
- 5:42Speaker 3: the hate over so many different aspects of the show,
- 5:47Speaker 3: not only via Star Wars content, but the subject matter,
- 5:52Speaker 3: the actors, everything influence this decision. I don't care what
- 6:00Speaker 3: argument you have. It influenced the decision. It may not
- 6:05Speaker 3: be the final decision maker, but it did influence it.
- 6:13Speaker 3: And I don't think that's okay, that's my opinion. But yeah,
- 6:20Speaker 3: I immediately went to the negative and I was like, oh,
- 6:23Speaker 3: it's just so happens that, you know, the only Star
- 6:28Speaker 3: Wars related content to have the official canceled title to
- 6:34Speaker 3: it is probably one of the most diverse shows because
- 6:39Speaker 3: it heavily had not only humanoid characters in there, but
- 6:45Speaker 3: alien species and all of these other things, and I
- 6:50Speaker 3: immediately didn't like that. People of color of course being
- 6:53Speaker 3: a big importance to this project as well.
- 6:59Speaker 2: But yeah, people but also sexually different like LGBTQ members as.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Well, exactly, Like, yeah, the.
- 7:07Speaker 2: One show that has the majority cast in that direction,
- 7:12Speaker 2: and you're gonna slap the canceled tag on it.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 7:18Speaker 2: It's not a great look.
- 7:21Speaker 3: No, it's it's not. And I said on Twitter, and again,
- 7:26Speaker 3: people can say that I'm being hyperbolic or whatever, but
- 7:31Speaker 3: like I tweeted out, the Disney executives can now use
- 7:38Speaker 3: the excuse of viewing numbers to say, oh, it's canceled,
- 7:46Speaker 3: but everything else is still out there, you know, to
- 7:50Speaker 3: show proof of that may not be the only reason why.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Yeah, Adrian, tell us your thoughts.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I think I think you're right. I think it's
- 8:03Speaker 4: the people can say whatever. They can blame the viewing numbers,
- 8:07Speaker 4: they can blame the writing, they can blame whatever. But
- 8:10Speaker 4: I think at the end of the day, anyone who
- 8:13Speaker 4: thinks that the Acolyte is deserving of an eighteen percent
- 8:17Speaker 4: or fourteen percent when it started on Rotten Tomatoes is
- 8:20Speaker 4: just wrong. I think, like, just there's just no way
- 8:23Speaker 4: there's just you think of like the worst movie you've
- 8:25Speaker 4: ever seen, and this this, or like the worst show
- 8:27Speaker 4: you've ever seen it, like this is on par with that,
- 8:29Speaker 4: regardless of like your opinions on like the length of
- 8:32Speaker 4: the episodes, the pacing, those things that I think are
- 8:36Speaker 4: legitimate concerns. It was overheted from the start, three times
- 8:41Speaker 4: as many reviews as The Mandalorian before episode three is over,
- 8:46Speaker 4: with hundreds of reviews each week before the episodes even air,
- 8:50Speaker 4: when we all know that they weren't even doing screeners
- 8:53Speaker 4: after episode four, So how are these people writing reviews
- 8:56Speaker 4: and things like that? So it's definitely an executive I
- 8:59Speaker 4: think it's just an executive decision, and an easy executive
- 9:03Speaker 4: decision to can this and put money somewhere else when
- 9:07Speaker 4: there was obviously a strong group and the fandom who
- 9:13Speaker 4: was enjoying the show, or at the very least liked
- 9:17Speaker 4: it enough to see, Okay, well, maybe let's see where
- 9:19Speaker 4: this is going. Maybe you didn't love it, but at
- 9:21Speaker 4: least liked it enough to be like, okay, let's see.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Lightsaber fights were cool. You know, you know there's good
- 9:26Speaker 4: things to say, and you don't have good things to
- 9:28Speaker 4: say even if it's just Lightsaber Fights, even for all
- 9:31Speaker 4: of these people who are who hated on it for
- 9:33Speaker 4: for two months straight still like the Lightsaber Fights that's
- 9:36Speaker 4: on an eighteen percent fourteen percent Rotten Tomatoes show. For me,
- 9:39Speaker 4: that's clear victim of the review bombing and just all
- 9:46Speaker 4: just spineless cowardice executive behavior to be to point to that,
- 9:50Speaker 4: I know all the articles pointed to like viewership numbers
- 9:52Speaker 4: and ratings. Okay, well ratings non factor for me. Non
- 9:57Speaker 4: factor for me because you have all of these reviews
- 10:00Speaker 4: coming in for this show that everybody hated. That's that's
- 10:03Speaker 4: more hated than in Love. Then it's more hated than
- 10:06Speaker 4: loved than three seasons of the Mandalorian, Like does that
- 10:10Speaker 4: make any sense to anybody? And to to say that
- 10:13Speaker 4: like it's, oh, it's a businesses sand Disney needs to
- 10:15Speaker 4: save money. The one point, what one hundred and sixty
- 10:18Speaker 4: three billion dollar company can't make content that was clearly
- 10:23Speaker 4: enjoyed by a portion of the fandom to the point
- 10:26Speaker 4: where they're sending out merchandise and all of these things
- 10:30Speaker 4: on Twitter and doing all and bringing in the actors
- 10:33Speaker 4: to you know, to give their love to the fans,
- 10:36Speaker 4: like with the Fiord after the fact, or bringing in
- 10:40Speaker 4: you know, Manny on d twenty three, to bring him
- 10:43Speaker 4: on stage to do all of these things. It's it
- 10:46Speaker 4: feels like an incredibly just selfish and just money hungry decision.
- 10:50Speaker 4: And then to take all the stuff off the the
- 10:52Speaker 4: online store as well, like go buy a physical DVD
- 10:56Speaker 4: of this because I feel like they're about to scrub it.
- 10:58Speaker 4: I feel like they're about to scrub it because of
- 11:02Speaker 4: the hate that it got man and it just it
- 11:05Speaker 4: just feels really like like have we learned nothing from
- 11:08Speaker 4: the prequels? Have we learned nothing from the Obi Wan show?
- 11:12Speaker 4: Have we learned nothing from like any of these things?
- 11:14Speaker 4: Like why are we making them happy? You know, like
- 11:16Speaker 4: why are we making like the worst parts of the
- 11:18Speaker 4: fandom happy? And if you say money, then like why
- 11:21Speaker 4: are you even making arts? Or like why are you
- 11:22Speaker 4: even doing this in the first place? Just don't make
- 11:24Speaker 4: anything new? Then just stop doing it, because what else
- 11:28Speaker 4: are we doing? We can't we can't, we can't go
- 11:30Speaker 4: to a new era. Apparently we can't have a predominantly
- 11:35Speaker 4: you know, person of color casts with multiple me because
- 11:40Speaker 4: if honestly, I wasn't even like a part of the
- 11:41Speaker 4: thing and my thing like if you see lesbians on
- 11:43Speaker 4: screen and you're like, oh, woll agenda, then you shouldn't
- 11:45Speaker 4: have been watching this in the first place, or you
- 11:47Speaker 4: just need to like go back to school. It just
- 11:49Speaker 4: makes me very angry. Just just just make all this
- 11:51Speaker 4: makes me very angry that we're here, that we're here,
- 11:54Speaker 4: and that they won, and that people are happy about it.
- 11:57Speaker 4: You're happy people don't have jobs, You're happy that, Like
- 12:00Speaker 4: people you know might be sad, like like, why would
- 12:02Speaker 4: that make you happy? It's just it's just weird old
- 12:05Speaker 4: behavior to me, and it sucks that even now, like
- 12:08Speaker 4: Amandala Stolmberg is still getting hate, you know, we're still
- 12:13Speaker 4: getting hate after the fact going back to her old
- 12:16Speaker 4: Instagram photos just to be like ha ha ha, Like
- 12:20Speaker 4: it's just weird o behavior. It's weird behavior, chronically online behavior,
- 12:23Speaker 4: and it makes it really hard to be excited for
- 12:25Speaker 4: anything else that's coming up. Makes it makes it hard
- 12:28Speaker 4: to be a side for the Skeleton Crew, makes it
- 12:30Speaker 4: hard for me to even be excited about Star Wars Outlaws.
- 12:32Speaker 4: I don't evening I'm gonna be talking about with people
- 12:34Speaker 4: online because people are gonna hate it. For a lot
- 12:36Speaker 4: of the same reasons they're gonna hate They hated the
- 12:41Speaker 4: Acolyte and the same a lot of the same reasons
- 12:43Speaker 4: why they hated Ahsoka. The only difference is that those
- 12:45Speaker 4: things were already approved for season two and went through
- 12:49Speaker 4: And so that's the only reason why it's like it
- 12:50Speaker 4: feels like it's absolved from the conversation. And I had
- 12:55Speaker 4: people on TikTok talking about, like, oh what and Or
- 12:58Speaker 4: got approved for season two because it had a good story.
- 13:00Speaker 4: Now Andrew got a proof for season two and was
- 13:02Speaker 4: already in pre production, just the same way that The
- 13:05Speaker 4: act Light was reportedly now in pre production in February.
- 13:09Speaker 4: But what what's the two biggest difference between those two shows?
- 13:13Speaker 4: One got review bombed and has a much lower rating
- 13:15Speaker 4: because people hated it for bigoted reasons, and the other
- 13:19Speaker 4: one is in the Skywalker saga, and you know that's
- 13:22Speaker 4: sacred and we'll just just stay in that sixty seven
- 13:25Speaker 4: year time period forever.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Yeah. The idea that this studio, because I've been saying
- 13:33Speaker 2: it for a while, even when it boils down to
- 13:35Speaker 2: like Marvel stuff with like the Eternals not pushing forward
- 13:39Speaker 2: with the second movie, Studios executives are chickens, point blank,
- 13:45Speaker 2: they're chickens. And in today's day and age you have,
- 13:50Speaker 2: you can justify it by saying, well, it didn't trend daily. Like, no,
- 13:55Speaker 2: nothing's ever going to trend daily, not when you're competing
- 13:58Speaker 2: with a bunch of different streamers. Plus there's still cable
- 14:02Speaker 2: TV out there, like lots of different stuff is gonna trend.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Like we said this with the Book of Bo Buffet,
- 14:10Speaker 2: and I'm not saying this with the Acolyte, because I
- 14:12Speaker 2: consider the Accolyte leaps and bounds above Book Abob Buffet.
- 14:15Speaker 2: But not every show has to be good, like or
- 14:19Speaker 2: not every show has to be perfect. Not every show
- 14:22Speaker 2: has to be great. Like I thought it was great,
- 14:25Speaker 2: but if you didn't think it was great, that's okay. Like,
- 14:27Speaker 2: if you just thought it was good, that's fine. But like,
- 14:30Speaker 2: the idea that studios have to put out perfection one
- 14:34Speaker 2: hundred percent of the time is bullshit. It's absolute bullshit.
- 14:40Speaker 2: There's no need for it. And like y'all have talked
- 14:44Speaker 2: about already, the diversity with this show, like is like
- 14:49Speaker 2: a big factor to me, I think, and a lot
- 14:51Speaker 2: of people like hating it. But then like that's why, Oh,
- 14:55Speaker 2: a lot of people hated it. It didn't match their
- 14:57Speaker 2: boyhood idea of Star Wars. So let's go ahead and
- 15:00Speaker 2: just drop the hammer and like, let's just cancel it.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Like this show with diverse and it was sexy. It
- 15:08Speaker 2: was not standard Star Wars. It was it hit like
- 15:12Speaker 2: that like romanticy vibe with it. Like I'm telling you,
- 15:17Speaker 2: like from what I've seen a book talk in Bookstagram,
- 15:22Speaker 2: they're all behind the times by like six months. But
- 15:26Speaker 2: if this show had been marketed towards book talk and
- 15:29Speaker 2: books to gram, this would have picked up.
- 15:31Speaker 4: Steve, Like, I have friends who don't watch Star Wars.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Saw saw me post you know, memes of of the
- 15:39Speaker 4: you know, of the of the scenes, and they're like, okay,
- 15:43Speaker 4: I need to watch it now, and then went and
- 15:44Speaker 4: watched it, like so where is the Where's like that
- 15:47Speaker 4: this thing can't bring in new fans when you can
- 15:50Speaker 4: live you have them, You have them. Why are we
- 15:53Speaker 4: appeasing these boy keep And I'll say, and I'll just
- 15:57Speaker 4: straight up say that it's like manchild because I post
- 16:00Speaker 4: on Instagram almost every day almost, you know, every day
- 16:03Speaker 4: during this time and ninety nine point nine, I won't
- 16:07Speaker 4: even think unless like they're you know, hiding behind like
- 16:09Speaker 4: the picture. Almost all of them were dudes saying the
- 16:13Speaker 4: same same thing.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Was with your with your TikTok Adrian like you. The
- 16:20Speaker 3: comments on there were a majority men. And my my
- 16:26Speaker 3: big thing is where Katie went with her points of view.
- 16:33Speaker 3: I told a friend of mine at work today because
- 16:36Speaker 3: he's only seen I think one or two episodes, and
- 16:40Speaker 3: he was like, hey, it's not really grabbing my attention,
- 16:43Speaker 3: but he's a Star Wars fan. He loves Clone Wars.
- 16:45Speaker 3: I was like, the overall concept of the show. I
- 16:49Speaker 3: really liked the concept and the ideas. I like how
- 16:52Speaker 3: it ended. You know, maybe you will only watch two
- 16:57Speaker 3: episodes every other week or whatever, but I urge you
- 17:00Speaker 3: to finish it. And I told him today, I was like, hey,
- 17:04Speaker 3: you know, you may not have a chance to watch
- 17:08Speaker 3: the rest of it if this indeed happens. It got canceled.
- 17:11Speaker 3: And I told him all the drama and stuff, and
- 17:14Speaker 3: I told him the idea that every single show, just
- 17:23Speaker 3: like Katie said, has to produce millions, if not billions,
- 17:30Speaker 3: of views and dollars. Studios find it a waste of time.
- 17:37Speaker 3: I think that is crap because the conversation that me
- 17:41Speaker 3: and Katie have been having for several weeks. Now, is
- 17:46Speaker 3: it is okay to be just okay? Because there are
- 17:53Speaker 3: so many different aspects of opinions out there, it's very
- 18:00Speaker 3: rare that you're going to have the epitome of you know,
- 18:07Speaker 3: perfection in every single project. Are and you brought up
- 18:12Speaker 3: and Or and Or Travis Snell a part of geek Verse,
- 18:18Speaker 3: and the guah you know told us, hey, you know
- 18:24Speaker 3: and Or, and I've seen this also being flooded through
- 18:27Speaker 3: Twitter as well. Andrew was one of those projects that
- 18:31Speaker 3: was like, hey, this is going to be a premiere
- 18:35Speaker 3: show on Disney Plus.
- 18:37Speaker 4: It was.
- 18:37Speaker 3: It was a part of that wave in twenty twenty
- 18:39Speaker 3: that was like, hey, you know, we're pushing all of
- 18:42Speaker 3: this content on our brand new streaming service. Da da
- 18:45Speaker 3: da dah. You know, really just pushing all of the
- 18:48Speaker 3: content out there because again a lot of people were thinking, hey,
- 18:52Speaker 3: movies are in danger. TV is the way to go,
- 18:56Speaker 3: and or if you guys remember or two episodes in
- 19:03Speaker 3: people were like, oh, you know, viewership is not great.
- 19:07Speaker 3: You guys really need to like word of mouth, tell
- 19:10Speaker 3: your parents, tell your grandparents, Da da. And then halfway
- 19:13Speaker 3: through it, we were saying oh, the first three episodes
- 19:17Speaker 3: of and Or are coming out on ABC Family or
- 19:20Speaker 3: whatever it's called now, right, so it was being pushed
- 19:25Speaker 3: to other channels, and I even think FX at one
- 19:29Speaker 3: point held the first two episodes. So again there there's
- 19:37Speaker 3: like this idea of like, oh, well, Gilroy saved Rogue
- 19:40Speaker 3: one back in the day, so he kind of got
- 19:42Speaker 3: his chance to keep you know, and Or, Well, Katie
- 19:48Speaker 3: reminded us in the GUA. And Or got announced announced
- 19:53Speaker 3: with five seasons, and now I think and Or season
- 19:57Speaker 3: two is going to be the end.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Said They said today that that and Or season two
- 20:02Speaker 4: will end with the beginning of Rogue one for Pascian.
- 20:06Speaker 4: So it's it, So what are we even doing?
- 20:08Speaker 3: Like what do we like?
- 20:09Speaker 4: Look, I love and Or Or, Like what are we doing?
- 20:12Speaker 4: Like we reduced doing a couple of days a couple
- 20:14Speaker 4: a year before and Or Or like a year before
- 20:18Speaker 4: Rogue one, Like that's the stories that were like I
- 20:21Speaker 4: can't wait, like you don't want to go see other stuff? Man?
- 20:24Speaker 4: I love and Or. But the more that like the
- 20:27Speaker 4: the strays that Ah Soka or Soca and act like
- 20:30Speaker 4: get because they held and Or as like I just
- 20:36Speaker 4: I think because Andy serkis is episode More than anything,
- 20:39Speaker 4: it feels like like like as because what is it?
- 20:42Speaker 4: What is it saying? Like what is the story saying
- 20:44Speaker 4: that the original trilogy doesn't or like I just don't.
- 20:49Speaker 4: I just don't understand like why we're so or why
- 20:51Speaker 4: the fandom is so like, oh, you know, it should
- 20:53Speaker 4: have just should have been as good as and or
- 20:55Speaker 4: I'm like good good as and or how how is
- 20:58Speaker 4: it as like what makes or so much better? That
- 21:01Speaker 4: it was like gritty people's getting next chopped in the
- 21:05Speaker 4: Acolyte because it focused on other characters. You have characters
- 21:09Speaker 4: that don't what it ever heard of before in this
- 21:11Speaker 4: other thing. Ah man, it's just so frustrating. It's just
- 21:15Speaker 4: so frustrating, and especially because, like like you said, Katie,
- 21:18Speaker 4: it was going to be longer and then they cut it,
- 21:20Speaker 4: and but now we'res like, oh, we're happy with season two.
- 21:23Speaker 4: We're happy that that's all we're getting. And it's just
- 21:25Speaker 4: such a weird thing to be happy that we're only
- 21:28Speaker 4: going to get two seasons.
- 21:31Speaker 2: S Bob says, wasn't it Tony Gilroy's choice to make
- 21:33Speaker 2: it two seasons instead of five? It came out like that,
- 21:36Speaker 2: s Bob's, but it definitely seemed like it was a
- 21:40Speaker 2: higher up decision with the quote that he.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Said all of a sudden as well when the announcement came,
- 21:48Speaker 3: because it was like what happened to the five seasons?
- 21:53Speaker 3: Like you don't just announce something as five scenes and
- 21:56Speaker 3: be like, maybe we could do it in two, you know,
- 22:00Speaker 3: especially in a world that wants content, content, content, you know, uh,
- 22:08Speaker 3: you know. We I feel like we as a people
- 22:13Speaker 3: in trying to grasp entertainment and everything else. We look
- 22:16Speaker 3: at Netflix and we're like, oh, the godfather of streaming,
- 22:19Speaker 3: and we saw the amount of stuff that they've pushed,
- 22:22Speaker 3: and we've seen them acts things all the time. They
- 22:27Speaker 3: are a studio that has just only in the most
- 22:32Speaker 3: recent years of like five years, have started to pick
- 22:37Speaker 3: up their own content, and even that is ending. Whereas
- 22:42Speaker 3: this is Disney some may say, like marketing King Genius
- 22:49Speaker 3: Disney and the decisions they make with some of the
- 22:54Speaker 3: most iconic eyeps such as Lucasfilm, I can't comprehend sometimes
- 23:04Speaker 3: how these decisions are made with such a popular ip
- 23:08Speaker 3: as this. All in the Game says, what are the
- 23:11Speaker 3: odds of ACTLYTE being canceled if Felony had been the
- 23:14Speaker 3: show owner as opposed to Headlin.
- 23:18Speaker 2: I appreciate this question because I wanted to actually bring
- 23:20Speaker 2: this up all in the game.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Yeah, because this is this is a part of the
- 23:24Speaker 3: conversation as well that we had in the g way.
- 23:27Speaker 3: So Katie, why don't you go ahead and and push
- 23:29Speaker 3: that forward.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Yeah. So if Filony, for those of y'all listening who
- 23:36Speaker 2: don't know, is the creative director of Lucasfilm, He's basically
- 23:40Speaker 2: the Kevin Fagy of Lucasfilm. And I did not like
- 23:45Speaker 2: that decision when it was made. I think Feloni tells
- 23:48Speaker 2: pretty good stories, but I all of his stories seem
- 23:52Speaker 2: to be repetitive, even going back to Clone Wars when
- 23:55Speaker 2: you look at some of the episodes that he did there.
- 23:58Speaker 2: So for me, having him be the creative director the
- 24:02Speaker 2: Fikey of Star Wars was a bad decision up front,
- 24:09Speaker 2: and now he's improved some of it in Mandalorian and
- 24:13Speaker 2: Ahsoka like, I can see that. I totally give it that,
- 24:18Speaker 2: But I just don't think any one person can manage
- 24:23Speaker 2: a timeline like Star Wars has. It is point blank
- 24:28Speaker 2: impossible to do when you have sixty seven years for
- 24:32Speaker 2: the Skywalker Saga alone, and then you want to go
- 24:35Speaker 2: twenty five thousand years that way and then even further
- 24:39Speaker 2: past the Skywalker Shaga that way. So to me, it
- 24:42Speaker 2: just didn't make any sense to me. Felonian Favrou seemed
- 24:48Speaker 2: to be the Kings right now. It's like Smell said,
- 24:53Speaker 2: if it's Dave show, it gets three seasons a movie
- 24:55Speaker 2: in fifteen animated shows. I'm not saying like yes, but
- 25:02Speaker 2: I'm not saying no, because to me, this is what
- 25:05Speaker 2: Filoni's gonna make, what he wants to make, And that
- 25:07Speaker 2: was clear what Tales of the Jeda and Tales of
- 25:08Speaker 2: the Empire point blank.
- 25:11Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah, I think he's good at like bringing in
- 25:13Speaker 4: people to make a good show. I think that's why,
- 25:15Speaker 4: like some of the those of my favorite episodes of
- 25:17Speaker 4: The Mandalorian aren't directed by Dave Filoni or written by
- 25:20Speaker 4: Dave Filoni. Thereby you know, the other people that he's
- 25:24Speaker 4: bringing in, So which makes it even more annoying for
- 25:27Speaker 4: me personally that this gets Like Leslie Heslin gets so
- 25:30Speaker 4: much hate when their golden boy Dave Filoni was one
- 25:33Speaker 4: hundred percent behind her and the story that they were
- 25:36Speaker 4: telling in this show. So if you're, you know, the
- 25:39Speaker 4: new big wig of the franchise who is going to
- 25:43Speaker 4: be like leading us. Is okay with that story, then
- 25:48Speaker 4: by the by their own logic, they should be okay
- 25:51Speaker 4: with what stories being told as the Star Wars canon story.
- 25:56Speaker 4: You know, this is the guy who was mentored by
- 25:58Speaker 4: your other fave, George Luke. So it's it's it's it's
- 26:02Speaker 4: like the Yoda uh, you know, lineage of Jedi Masters
- 26:07Speaker 4: type thing. At least for me and Dave. Filoni's really
- 26:10Speaker 4: good about like letting people make the stories that they
- 26:12Speaker 4: want to make. And I think that she made the
- 26:14Speaker 4: stories she wanted to make, and they loved it. People
- 26:17Speaker 4: were supportive of They were in pre production in February,
- 26:19Speaker 4: they were looking for directors, they were doing all of
- 26:21Speaker 4: these things. But these dudes just want to quote stuff
- 26:25Speaker 4: from other movies and hang on the fact that one
- 26:29Speaker 4: actor misset a thing and this is why it's trash
- 26:33Speaker 4: and this is why it's that and oh Kiyati Mondy,
- 26:36Speaker 4: like you ever gave a shit about Kyati Munday in
- 26:38Speaker 4: the first place. It's just it's just bigotry, man. I
- 26:41Speaker 4: think it's just straight up, flat out bigotry. If your
- 26:45Speaker 4: arguments for why the show isn't good is because of
- 26:47Speaker 4: Leslie Headland and the actors not knowing Star Wars. That
- 26:53Speaker 4: is what Star Wars theory told you to say, and
- 26:56Speaker 4: that's not what was actually there.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Yeah, and and I think that a lot of people
- 27:02Speaker 3: because even in our gua chat, uh, you know, they
- 27:06Speaker 3: were saying, oh, you know, writing wasn't great. This wasn't
- 27:09Speaker 3: a you know, bang of a kickoff show or whatever. Again,
- 27:14Speaker 3: it comes down to an opinion. I'm totally fine with
- 27:18Speaker 3: people being subjective about these things.
- 27:21Speaker 2: That's totally there's perfectly legitimate critiques about this show. We're
- 27:25Speaker 2: not of those.
- 27:26Speaker 3: We had critiques about the show. And when it comes
- 27:31Speaker 3: to the writing, I watched a Star Wars show that
- 27:37Speaker 3: is on par with a Star Wars movie that I
- 27:40Speaker 3: have on the video games that I have played. So
- 27:50Speaker 3: it is so frustrating to see this go on and
- 27:55Speaker 3: on and on after every single project. You know. I
- 28:02Speaker 3: immediately after this, I did three consecutive tweets. My first
- 28:08Speaker 3: one is I will not feed into the excuse of
- 28:12Speaker 3: everyone else that everyone else is giving as far as
- 28:15Speaker 3: like the budget, the views and all of this says
- 28:19Speaker 3: and I said, if I didn't have a one year
- 28:21Speaker 3: old right now, I probably wouldn't have Disney Plus right
- 28:23Speaker 3: now after this decision, because everything that I am enjoying
- 28:31Speaker 3: is always in a do we really need it? Maybe
- 28:36Speaker 3: that can get kicked off or whatever. Then I said
- 28:41Speaker 3: I was saving money for Star Wars Outlaws. Really tempted
- 28:45Speaker 3: to go somewhere else with my money. Now, like again, agent,
- 28:50Speaker 3: like you had said featured in our thumbnail, by the way,
- 28:54Speaker 3: your tweet was after the act like cancelation. How is
- 28:58Speaker 3: anyone supposed to be excited for Outlaws, skill and crue,
- 29:00Speaker 3: et cetera. When we know now more than ever that
- 29:04Speaker 3: grifters know their voices matter more than the fans who
- 29:07Speaker 3: actually enjoy the content of this universe.
- 29:12Speaker 2: And that was my argument as well. Like you can
- 29:19Speaker 2: say all day long, well, Star Wars has canceled all
- 29:21Speaker 2: kinds of things. Brian Johnson's trilogy tackles film X y
- 29:27Speaker 2: Z All day long, I have remained a positive person,
- 29:32Speaker 2: and I'm like, like it might happen one day, Like
- 29:35Speaker 2: you know, it is what it is.
- 29:37Speaker 3: Like we keep hearing the one thing that I think
- 29:41Speaker 3: lucasfilm is really good, and I think it's more Disney
- 29:44Speaker 3: than lucasfilm is really good at doing when it comes
- 29:47Speaker 3: to marketing and feeding into the fan base that they
- 29:50Speaker 3: know they need as far as money goes, and I
- 29:53Speaker 3: get it, the GA is a large sum of that money,
- 29:57Speaker 3: because fans are not always going to produce the amount
- 30:00Speaker 3: of money that they quote unquote need for these types
- 30:03Speaker 3: of things. But the fact that every once in a
- 30:06Speaker 3: while they'll be like, hey, there's still talks of this.
- 30:09Speaker 3: We just got that with Patty Jenkins, not a you know,
- 30:12Speaker 3: maybe a couple months ago about her her uh uh
- 30:17Speaker 3: Rogue Squadron Rogue Squadron movie. It's just like, I that
- 30:22Speaker 3: is dead in my mind after this, I.
- 30:25Speaker 2: And yeah, That's basically where I'm at to is like
- 30:28Speaker 2: this turned me into a Star Wars cynic. I'm still
- 30:30Speaker 2: gonna be a positive fan and I'm gonna watch Skeleton Crew,
- 30:36Speaker 2: but like this turned me into an absolute cynic. I
- 30:41Speaker 2: Matt this morning was like, how you doing it? And
- 30:44Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, I'm still upset, and he was like,
- 30:47Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever seen you this upset about
- 30:50Speaker 2: anything on TV or a movie. And I'm like, yep,
- 30:53Speaker 2: it's because I felt seen like And don't get me wrong,
- 30:56Speaker 2: I've like had other times with like Focaton coming into
- 31:01Speaker 2: Mandalorian for instance, getting to see Ahsoka in live action,
- 31:05Speaker 2: really cool stuff. This made me feel seen as a
- 31:09Speaker 2: Star Wars fan. I loved this story. It was like
- 31:15Speaker 2: everything to me, like this is like I love Fourth Wing,
- 31:19Speaker 2: like Akatar has been really good. Like this made me
- 31:22Speaker 2: feel seen as a female Star Wars fan. And like
- 31:27Speaker 2: I said, there's been other times, but like to have
- 31:29Speaker 2: a whole show dedicated to me as a Star Wars fan,
- 31:33Speaker 2: that was awesome, point blank. And now I'm just really
- 31:37Speaker 2: sad about it. All Right, y'all, we're gonna hit our
- 31:40Speaker 2: first ad break and we will be right back in
- 31:42Speaker 2: three two one.
- 31:45Speaker 4: Yeah, And it's not even like you can and now
- 31:47Speaker 4: it's not even like you can like go to the
- 31:48Speaker 4: Disney Store and like buy merch from your favorite characters,
- 31:51Speaker 4: because it's fucking gone, Like what are we doing? Like
- 31:54Speaker 4: what like who's making these decisions? I just wish that
- 31:57Speaker 4: like they would just be upfront and like someone would
- 32:01Speaker 4: just take responsibility for what's going on, because it's just
- 32:04Speaker 4: so frustrating that like every day more stuff is getting
- 32:08Speaker 4: taken away from this show because of everything that happened
- 32:11Speaker 4: despite like all of the social media push that happened
- 32:15Speaker 4: with this in like the Twitter the.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Best marketing campaign that Star Wars.
- 32:21Speaker 4: And I was so sad that I didn't get nothing
- 32:23Speaker 4: from from from the Star Wars Twitter people. You know,
- 32:25Speaker 4: I would have loved I would have loved some fucking
- 32:28Speaker 4: tissues or or something. I would have loved something now
- 32:31Speaker 4: and you can't even go get it because they're scrubbing it.
- 32:33Speaker 4: Why why, like why what's the like, what is the
- 32:36Speaker 4: reason for it feels like it feels like they're scrubbing
- 32:40Speaker 4: to go push more movies back, to go push more
- 32:43Speaker 4: money back to the movies. And if like this was
- 32:46Speaker 4: canceled so that like Grogu and the Mandalorian movie and
- 32:49Speaker 4: get more money, fuck me, like what, like why are
- 32:52Speaker 4: we even don't even stop making stuff? Just stop making it?
- 32:56Speaker 3: And and I wanted to bring that up because that
- 32:58Speaker 3: is a huge, huge worry in the fan base right now.
- 33:04Speaker 3: I think it was Danie RpK says Orlando is now
- 33:07Speaker 3: a film Rangers of the New Republic who was canceled
- 33:10Speaker 3: and or will end in season two. No Mando season four,
- 33:13Speaker 3: No BLAA FET season two, No Act Flight season two
- 33:15Speaker 3: Skeleton Crew is only a limited series, Ahsoka's only ongoing
- 33:19Speaker 3: Star Wars show. Currently, no other live action series has
- 33:23Speaker 3: been announced for development, and with the merchandise going away,
- 33:30Speaker 3: people are now afraid that this is going to be
- 33:34Speaker 3: a Willow situation, where Willow was different from Batgirl at
- 33:41Speaker 3: wb Batgirl never got to see the light of day.
- 33:46Speaker 3: Willow was a show that has existed, premiered on Disney
- 33:52Speaker 3: Plus and now is nowhere to be seen, and they
- 33:58Speaker 3: wrote it off as a you know, a tax right off.
- 34:02Speaker 3: People are worried that this is going to be the
- 34:03Speaker 3: exact same thing with the Acolyte. This is not okay,
- 34:09Speaker 3: trying to basically erase a project from existence when this
- 34:18Speaker 3: is people's livelihood as well as you know, our our
- 34:21Speaker 3: you know, our piece of the fandom being joyful that
- 34:25Speaker 3: it exists. But people spent time out of their lives
- 34:29Speaker 3: to create this content and you're just gonna be like, eh, well,
- 34:34Speaker 3: it's fine because I can write it off and you know,
- 34:37Speaker 3: get more money at the end of the year.
- 34:41Speaker 2: I'm terrified of that. If that happens, that will be
- 34:46Speaker 2: the Triger point and I'll cancel Disney Plus. I won't
- 34:48Speaker 2: be watching Skelaton Crew. As much as I want to,
- 34:51Speaker 2: I won't be watching Skeleton Crew.
- 34:54Speaker 4: Are y'are Maybe I'm going, but I'm not.
- 34:59Speaker 2: I'm pr and I'm not gonna talk about it for Disney,
- 35:02Speaker 2: not that we have that many listeners, but like.
- 35:07Speaker 3: PR and that's the thing agent like in my mind,
- 35:10Speaker 3: I am currently thinking, I'm gonna have to Like it
- 35:15Speaker 3: has been a long while, a long while since I
- 35:20Speaker 3: have actually pirated content, and I'll say it right here
- 35:24Speaker 3: live on YouTube have in the past. But if you're
- 35:29Speaker 3: gonna steal my money and it's and you say, hey,
- 35:32Speaker 3: your money doesn't count, fine, my money doesn't count, So
- 35:35Speaker 3: I'm not gonna give it to you. And That's just
- 35:39Speaker 3: how it is.
- 35:42Speaker 2: I'm at the same point right now too, because if
- 35:45Speaker 2: this gets a physical release, I'm snatching it up. I
- 35:48Speaker 2: haven't gotten Bando or and Or yet because those shows.
- 35:54Speaker 2: I trust that Mando is gonna stick around with Disney
- 35:56Speaker 2: Plus for a little bit and those physical releases works.
- 36:01Speaker 2: But if the act like it's a physical release, I'm
- 36:03Speaker 2: picking it up immediately like it's happening. Okay, I've never
- 36:08Speaker 2: pirated anything in my life, but I will do that
- 36:11Speaker 2: if it has If it has to be done.
- 36:14Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, you know they're they're hurting. They're the one
- 36:18Speaker 4: hundred and sixty billion dollar company. They're they're hurting right now.
- 36:21Speaker 4: You know, I gotta I gotta make it. If they're hurting,
- 36:24Speaker 4: I'm hurting too. I gotta make cuts. Sorry, I got to,
- 36:27Speaker 4: you know, I got I gotta do what's what's best
- 36:28Speaker 4: for me and minds. If that that's the mentality you're
- 36:31Speaker 4: going with.
- 36:32Speaker 3: Yeah, and you can.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Tell me all day long. There was a budget issue,
- 36:35Speaker 2: and I understand, we understand, like, oh, if you break
- 36:39Speaker 2: it down to pure this and that, like fine, whatever
- 36:42Speaker 2: budget was one hundred and eighty million, viewership was not.
- 36:45Speaker 2: That was not on par with other things that are
- 36:49Speaker 2: coming out. But it also came out in the midst
- 36:50Speaker 2: of House of the Dragon and the Boys. Let's just
- 36:54Speaker 2: keep that in mind because that's important. It was a
- 36:58Speaker 2: big summer for television con and the fact of the
- 37:03Speaker 2: matter is is that there was long term investment potential
- 37:09Speaker 2: with the act and you scent it out the window.
- 37:14Speaker 2: I'm not hoping. I'm praying and hoping that Tessa and
- 37:19Speaker 2: Justina's books still get made. Justina sounded positive yesterday, but
- 37:26Speaker 2: I'm hoping.
- 37:27Speaker 4: I know that we're all we're all booked people here,
- 37:30Speaker 4: and you know I've talked. I talked to both of
- 37:33Speaker 4: them at Savio Comic Con, but I don't think they
- 37:37Speaker 4: have the same kind of vested interest in this fight.
- 37:39Speaker 4: So justin Justina's video to me rang hollow because she
- 37:43Speaker 4: can be like, oh, well, you know it's it's gonna
- 37:46Speaker 4: be okay because she's writing, she is writing another book
- 37:48Speaker 4: and she hasn't even seen the show. Like I couldn't
- 37:51Speaker 4: even ask her about the show about Vernestra Rowe, the
- 37:54Speaker 4: character she created, because she hasn't even seen the show.
- 37:58Speaker 4: So for me, like, I don't care about what anyone
- 38:02Speaker 4: says who hasn't seen the show because it's her words
- 38:07Speaker 4: were so infuriating to me as someone who sat in
- 38:10Speaker 4: front of her and Tessa, and they both told me
- 38:13Speaker 4: to my face that they didn't watch it and we
- 38:16Speaker 4: had nothing to really talk about because we can't talk
- 38:18Speaker 4: about your book that's not out yet because you don't know.
- 38:20Speaker 4: So how are you even writing these stories if you
- 38:22Speaker 4: haven't even seen the thing. It's just so confusing, it's
- 38:25Speaker 4: so confusing, And then why even give them books? Why
- 38:28Speaker 4: even give them books? If you were like worried that
- 38:30Speaker 4: this was going to happen. It just makes no sense to.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Me, Double's advocate, Double's advocate. They may want to put
- 38:37Speaker 2: their own spit on the characters without having the show
- 38:39Speaker 2: influence what happened.
- 38:41Speaker 4: Great, but then don't tell me, oh, it'll be okay
- 38:43Speaker 4: when you didn't experience what we experienced and like went
- 38:46Speaker 4: through what we went through, Like it's like it's like
- 38:50Speaker 4: to me a little bit, it was like the imagine
- 38:53Speaker 4: all the fucking people thing that all the celebrities did,
- 38:56Speaker 4: like you, you weren't. You weren't in this fight. You
- 38:58Speaker 4: weren't in this fight. You didn't have the hate, you
- 39:00Speaker 4: didn't have all of these things that all these other
- 39:02Speaker 4: actors had. You didn't have that. Because no one knew
- 39:05Speaker 4: who Vernatra role is. There isn't the same kind of
- 39:08Speaker 4: audience and droves of people going to the High Republic
- 39:11Speaker 4: and reading these stories. I had to tell people that
- 39:14Speaker 4: Hernatra role was from the High Republic and like these
- 39:16Speaker 4: are the books that she was in, because they just thought, oh,
- 39:18Speaker 4: I don't know who these people like, oh Kiyati Monday,
- 39:20Speaker 4: you know what I mean. So for me, I'm just like,
- 39:23Speaker 4: why why did you even say anything because you just
- 39:26Speaker 4: don't know. And I don't even know if she's been
- 39:27Speaker 4: open that she hasn't seen it, but like it took me,
- 39:29Speaker 4: It took me a mat saying that.
- 39:34Speaker 3: I don't think it would be very smart if she,
- 39:36Speaker 3: if she did, you know, decide to say, Hey, by
- 39:39Speaker 3: the way, I've never seen the show, but I created
- 39:41Speaker 3: the characters and.
- 39:42Speaker 4: Like you know, and I never I never saw them
- 39:45Speaker 4: on screen. So you know, she has no she doesn't care,
- 39:49Speaker 4: not that she doesn't care, but like she doesn't. It's
- 39:51Speaker 4: that they didn't hit her as hard as to say
- 39:52Speaker 4: it's gonna hit you know. Manny who found out like
- 39:55Speaker 4: on his probably didn't find out on his birthday. He
- 39:56Speaker 4: might have known before that, but like to have all
- 39:58Speaker 4: that news come out on his birthday, Yeah, when he
- 40:02Speaker 4: was just at D three, you know, not begging but
- 40:06Speaker 4: like pleading with people to like let us do uh,
- 40:08Speaker 4: let us let us you know do this again. Yeah,
- 40:12Speaker 4: Like those are like the people that I want to hear, like, hey,
- 40:16Speaker 4: you know, let's let's let's relax. Or like when uh
- 40:21Speaker 4: Un McGregor came out in support of Revas, I forgot.
- 40:27Speaker 3: Uh I can't.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Remember her name.
- 40:30Speaker 3: Looking it up right now because I just had a
- 40:32Speaker 3: break part.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Yeah. Uh, I mean because because it's such a it's
- 40:36Speaker 4: like a list of actors at this point, right, we're
- 40:38Speaker 4: just like getting attacked over and over and over again.
- 40:40Speaker 4: So it's it's hard for me to be like, oh
- 40:42Speaker 4: it'll be yeah, most is ingram like it's it's it's
- 40:45Speaker 4: hard for me to be like, oh it'll be okay,
- 40:47Speaker 4: you know, don't worry about it when they're still making
- 40:49Speaker 4: content and there's they still have there, they're still seeing
- 40:52Speaker 4: these stories come. And now we have a whole wide thing,
- 40:56Speaker 4: a missed opportunity because I don't know if we'll ever
- 40:58Speaker 4: go back to the High Republican live back, And that
- 41:00Speaker 4: to me is so sad because this era is so dope,
- 41:04Speaker 4: even this in between era that we were getting so dope,
- 41:07Speaker 4: because we're already seeing the subtle changes between that era
- 41:11Speaker 4: and the prequel trilogy era, and it's just rough that
- 41:13Speaker 4: we're not getting it just because of all these things.
- 41:15Speaker 4: And you know, it just don't don't you know, don't
- 41:18Speaker 4: paste on me and telling me it's raining. It sucks.
- 41:20Speaker 4: It sucks really really bad, and we should be angry
- 41:22Speaker 4: about it if we enjoyed the show.
- 41:24Speaker 3: I want to ask you both a question. Katie. I
- 41:28Speaker 3: know that you saw this tweet of mine, but it's
- 41:32Speaker 3: rightfully you know, people's decision to start these hashtags and
- 41:37Speaker 3: everything else. And I've seen Save the Acolyte Renew the Acolyte,
- 41:43Speaker 3: you know, famously made for things like release the Snyder
- 41:49Speaker 3: Cut and renew Lucifer. Save Lucifer. These two projects were
- 41:55Speaker 3: saved in a matter of speaking, you know, Snyder Cut
- 41:58Speaker 3: being finally released LUSA for being able to continue on Netflix.
- 42:03Speaker 3: And so I have to ask you guys in my ballpark,
- 42:10Speaker 3: I got burnt out with Justice Leake. I did my part,
- 42:15Speaker 3: you know, I I I pushed all of that, save
- 42:19Speaker 3: Daredevil as well. On the game also said that is
- 42:22Speaker 3: very true.
- 42:23Speaker 4: Yeah, and.
- 42:27Speaker 3: I got the Snyder Cut and then I backed off.
- 42:31Speaker 3: I didn't.
- 42:31Speaker 4: I didn't do anything else like a normal person, Clay,
- 42:33Speaker 4: because if you don't like it, you just go about your.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Days and then and then you know, uh, there's still
- 42:41Speaker 3: people trying to help David Air and everything else. But
- 42:47Speaker 3: is it worth the fight to try and renew and
- 42:53Speaker 3: get these hashtags trending and pushing for a revival? Agent?
- 43:01Speaker 3: What do you think.
- 43:04Speaker 4: I would say so if they didn't pull all the
- 43:06Speaker 4: merchandise off the store today, I think I think where
- 43:11Speaker 4: I would go because I think the renew the Act
- 43:14Speaker 4: of Lite hashtag was great, people showing their love trending
- 43:17Speaker 4: multiple days, multiple weeks. You know, after Save the Act Lite,
- 43:21Speaker 4: we might get that same treatment if enough people. But
- 43:25Speaker 4: why do we have to save it? Like why do like?
- 43:27Speaker 4: Why is it? Why is the onus on us to
- 43:30Speaker 4: do those things? I had someone on on TikTok yesterday
- 43:33Speaker 4: tell me that to when I was telling them about
- 43:35Speaker 4: the review bombing. His answer was, well, you should have
- 43:37Speaker 4: reviewed it harder, more of you should have reviewed the
- 43:40Speaker 4: show to offset the average Like what what you the mob? Yeah,
- 43:48Speaker 4: the mob that didn't even see it? How was this
- 43:50Speaker 4: the least viewed show with the most reviews? Does like
- 43:53Speaker 4: anyone not? Like do the executives not understand like what
- 43:56Speaker 4: that is? I think they do, So I don't think that,
- 43:58Speaker 4: like for for the Act Lite specifically, say thing will
- 44:01Speaker 4: work because not enough of the middle aged white men
- 44:06Speaker 4: watched this show. Enough. If enough middle aged white men
- 44:10Speaker 4: did it and bitched and complained as much to get
- 44:12Speaker 4: the you know, slightly above better, Snyder cut of the
- 44:15Speaker 4: Justice League, then yes. But the difference is Clay and
- 44:19Speaker 4: Katie is that we're normal people. So when we don't
- 44:22Speaker 4: like something, we don't bitch about it for days. We
- 44:24Speaker 4: don't go into people's comments to say, oh, this was shit.
- 44:27Speaker 4: When I didn't like when I didn't like the last Jedi,
- 44:29Speaker 4: I didn't go into Ryan Johnson's Instagram to be like, oh,
- 44:33Speaker 4: you're terrible, you know, because it's just not normal behavior
- 44:38Speaker 4: and the and you're so right, Clay, like this, like
- 44:42Speaker 4: this wasn't I'll retract my tweet because like this, they've
- 44:48Speaker 4: always known that they can. They can just bitch and
- 44:50Speaker 4: get what they want. They've always known because they can.
- 44:52Speaker 4: With the Snyder cut, with Lucifer or not, I would
- 44:55Speaker 4: not say so much to lose Ferget. I don't think
- 44:56Speaker 4: the crowd is as bad, but like we're new the
- 44:58Speaker 4: Snyder cut definitely. Lee is in that where you complain enough,
- 45:02Speaker 4: you complain enough, you complain enough, you complain, you can
- 45:04Speaker 4: plain complain, and then they eventually give you what you
- 45:06Speaker 4: want and then you hope that it, you know, works
- 45:08Speaker 4: out for you financially, I guess. But if you have
- 45:11Speaker 4: all these people who are clamoring for it and renew
- 45:14Speaker 4: the act and all these things, and you still cancel it.
- 45:16Speaker 4: I don't think they cared enough. I don't think it
- 45:19Speaker 4: ever had a shot. I think it was doomed to
- 45:20Speaker 4: fail from the start, and I'm surprised that, like we
- 45:23Speaker 4: did that, they didn't. They didn't do more to combat
- 45:28Speaker 4: their own ship, getting review, bond or doing something like
- 45:31Speaker 4: like you said, putting the show on on TV for
- 45:35Speaker 4: the first maybe four four episodes. I think that's good.
- 45:38Speaker 4: The first four episodes, I think good enough of a
- 45:39Speaker 4: hook to get people into it.
- 45:41Speaker 3: If you do that, I believe that the it was
- 45:44Speaker 3: four and five that are the the double episodes, right, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 45:49Speaker 3: if it has a big enough cliffhanger, trust me, yeah,
- 45:52Speaker 3: to get people back, like, let's go watch the rest
- 45:55Speaker 3: of them.
- 45:56Speaker 4: But they did, they didn't try enough, despite all of
- 45:58Speaker 4: these hashtags. So it's just really I don't I don't
- 46:00Speaker 4: think so. I don't think it's gonna matter.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and I've seen people talk about, oh, what's gonna
- 46:05Speaker 2: happen to the Cannon timeline if the accolyte dispairs. I
- 46:09Speaker 2: don't want to talk about that. We're not gonna wish
- 46:10Speaker 2: that into existence. If it happens, we can talk about
- 46:14Speaker 2: it later. I'm not gonna talk about that right now.
- 46:17Speaker 2: I'll point like, I don't want to wish that into existence.
- 46:20Speaker 4: I hope I if it doesn't get readewed, I hope
- 46:22Speaker 4: they never touched Lagas. I hope they never touched Vegas.
- 46:25Speaker 4: And then these motherfuckers are just stuck with their one
- 46:29Speaker 4: book forever that they hold like the Holy Bible. So
- 46:31Speaker 4: they don't get it because I don't think they deserve it.
- 46:33Speaker 4: I don't think they deserve it. They don't deserve it.
- 46:36Speaker 4: It's the same thing.
- 46:36Speaker 3: As as Bain right. Bain was the was the one
- 46:40Speaker 3: character people were clamoring about and wanting. You know, I
- 46:43Speaker 3: always bring up the fact that Bain almost made an
- 46:45Speaker 3: appearance on Clone Wars, and then both George Lucas and
- 46:49Speaker 3: Felony were like, hey, maybe let's not do this. So
- 46:52Speaker 3: like it's oh man, you're right, agent. They don't deserve it.
- 46:58Speaker 3: They don't deserve they.
- 46:59Speaker 2: Don't deserve it. Don't lose when all those old white men.
- 47:07Speaker 4: Pass away because we just have so much like great stuff,
- 47:13Speaker 4: you know, and maybe maybe maybe what the the answer
- 47:16Speaker 4: is is if you're gonna keep streaming like doing stuff
- 47:19Speaker 4: on streaming services. Just do animation. Don't touch live action,
- 47:23Speaker 4: don't even don't even hint it live action, because I
- 47:26Speaker 4: don't even want to see a live action ban unless
- 47:28Speaker 4: it's in a movie now, because I just know that
- 47:30Speaker 4: we're gonna have to go through this ship all over again,
- 47:33Speaker 4: because as a perfect as it's gonna be, as they
- 47:35Speaker 4: can do it exactly the way they do it in
- 47:37Speaker 4: the books, then why I could have just gone and
- 47:40Speaker 4: read the book. I could have just gone and read
- 47:41Speaker 4: the book. Well, what did this? What did this do?
- 47:44Speaker 4: I can go watch a fan film like what why?
- 47:45Speaker 4: Why do we need that when we already have that
- 47:47Speaker 4: story told. We had a whole new story to tell
- 47:50Speaker 4: Skeleton's cruises and give a whole new cast of characters
- 47:52Speaker 4: and stories for us to to indulge in, Like don't
- 47:55Speaker 4: you remember?
- 47:56Speaker 2: So?
- 47:56Speaker 4: I think they did like the worst things about what
- 47:58Speaker 4: got them in the Star Wars in the first place, right,
- 48:00Speaker 4: like that kind of grandiose like oh what is this?
- 48:03Speaker 4: Oh the prequels, Oh the Jedi, there's Jedi everywhere, like
- 48:07Speaker 4: all of those things like where like why did we
- 48:09Speaker 4: lose that when we're getting it? And other things, because
- 48:12Speaker 4: it's the same. It's same, same, but different, at least
- 48:14Speaker 4: in my eyes. When we're going to all these different timelines,
- 48:17Speaker 4: it's new stories. Why are we so concerned with If
- 48:20Speaker 4: Anakin is whatever, you know, his story is still his story.
- 48:24Speaker 4: He still will go on to murder a lot of people,
- 48:28Speaker 4: like a lot of people, like a lot of people.
- 48:32Speaker 4: His legacy isn't tarnished by the fact that the Acolyte
- 48:36Speaker 4: had force babies in it that we didn't get the
- 48:39Speaker 4: explanation for, and we'll probably never get the explanation for
- 48:42Speaker 4: because of like this. Of also, all the things that
- 48:44Speaker 4: they're complaining about will never get will never get fixed,
- 48:47Speaker 4: because some executive decided, Nope, can't do it, despite all
- 48:52Speaker 4: of despite all of the other creatives and all the
- 48:54Speaker 4: other people that we love in who are creating Star
- 48:57Speaker 4: Wars stories, said Leslie headline killing it. Good job, let's
- 49:01Speaker 4: keep this rolling. And because of review bombing and all
- 49:04Speaker 4: this other stuff, now we don't get it, and I
- 49:06Speaker 4: just don't think that we deserve as a fantom at
- 49:08Speaker 4: this point, more live action content on Disney Plus. If
- 49:12Speaker 4: you're not gonna give it the attention it deserves, just
- 49:15Speaker 4: give us a thirteen episode animated series because that's easier, easier,
- 49:21Speaker 4: and more cost effective. If that's what you're worried about, Easier,
- 49:24Speaker 4: more conspective, give me more bad Batch level animation, because
- 49:28Speaker 4: because it seems like it's the only thing that matters
- 49:30Speaker 4: to them.
- 49:31Speaker 3: And one of the most defeated things I said last
- 49:36Speaker 3: night about the whole thing was the fact that Star
- 49:41Speaker 3: Wars is going to be boring again. It's gonna be safe,
- 49:44Speaker 3: It's gonna be boring. One of the biggest arguments that
- 49:49Speaker 3: me and Katie had in our own gua chat, because
- 49:53Speaker 3: of course, all of our friends want to be the
- 49:55Speaker 3: devil's advocate. They want to be like, hey, we're gonna
- 49:57Speaker 3: show you the facts and tell you this and tell
- 49:59Speaker 3: you that. The biggest the budget.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Yes, we get the budget. I promise we get the budget.
- 50:04Speaker 3: The biggest thing for us is that the Actolyte was
- 50:08Speaker 3: a risk. It was hey, let's do something different, which
- 50:13Speaker 3: it wasn't all that different. Let's be completely honest, it
- 50:16Speaker 3: really was. It was lightsabers, it was Jedi, it was Sith,
- 50:21Speaker 3: it was Force users, it was all of the same
- 50:24Speaker 3: thing that is in everything else Star Wars related. And
- 50:29Speaker 3: it just looked beautiful in my mind and the fact
- 50:35Speaker 3: that I can't get that.
- 50:38Speaker 6: Because people are just like, oh, I don't want that,
- 50:42Speaker 6: Like I it hurts, you know, the fact that you know,
- 50:48Speaker 6: we're talking about only getting animation.
- 50:50Speaker 3: I guess I can be excited for visions maybe yeah,
- 50:55Speaker 3: but yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay, here's my issue.
- 50:58Speaker 4: I love visions. How much? How many these motherfuckers have
- 51:00Speaker 4: even watched visions? Not a lot of them, because knowing
- 51:04Speaker 4: when I talked to in Star Wars in real life
- 51:05Speaker 4: outside of like you know, like this, you know community
- 51:08Speaker 4: here has seen visions, but yet we're still getting more
- 51:11Speaker 4: of it. So like viewership is not an issue. The
- 51:16Speaker 4: gathering all of these people all across everywhere is not
- 51:20Speaker 4: an easy thing to do, but they're willing to do that,
- 51:23Speaker 4: but not willing to like give other, like the live
- 51:26Speaker 4: action things that are taking those chances the same shot.
- 51:28Speaker 4: I just don't doesn't make any sense to me.
- 51:32Speaker 3: Yeah yeah.
- 51:32Speaker 2: And I was like and because I tried to like
- 51:37Speaker 2: compare it yesterday to the Clone Wars movie and that
- 51:44Speaker 2: not in like a budget sense, but like, hey, this
- 51:47Speaker 2: was a risk, and you know what, George Lucas actually
- 51:50Speaker 2: took this risk and it was one of the worst
- 51:52Speaker 2: received things up until The Acolyte and the sequel films. Probably,
- 51:57Speaker 2: I think.
- 51:58Speaker 3: The the one post that I saw had a nineteen
- 52:03Speaker 3: percent rotten score on Tomatoes and a forty percent audience
- 52:08Speaker 3: score was was the movie. And I remember seeing that
- 52:13Speaker 3: at a midnight release with my dad. My dad fell
- 52:16Speaker 3: asleep and I watched it and I thought, if this
- 52:19Speaker 3: is what the future of Star Wars is, let's fucking go.
- 52:23Speaker 3: And I got freaking how many seasons?
- 52:27Speaker 2: Six seasons, seven seasons of seven seasons, seven seasons.
- 52:31Speaker 3: Of Clone Wars, four seasons of Rebels. Bad Batch like
- 52:37Speaker 3: these shows. Like there's still people to this day that
- 52:41Speaker 3: have like polar opposite ideas about Clone Wars and Rebels. Oh,
- 52:46Speaker 3: I don't like the animation of this one. This one's
- 52:48Speaker 3: a little clunky. I don't like watching the jar Jart
- 52:51Speaker 3: episodes and the Clone, Like, there's so many takes on
- 52:56Speaker 3: something that Disney was like, Hey, let's keep this going. Ultimately,
- 53:03Speaker 3: I think that kind of decision, though, I will be
- 53:06Speaker 3: my own devil's advocate. Here is the stupid argument of oh,
- 53:11Speaker 3: it's animated, it's for kids, Let's give the kids something
- 53:16Speaker 3: to watch.
- 53:18Speaker 4: George Lucas says that for twelve year olds tap sign,
- 53:22Speaker 4: I mean, and I know that's not what you're saying,
- 53:25Speaker 4: but like that's what I would say to like to
- 53:26Speaker 4: those like and it's all for kids, man, it's all
- 53:30Speaker 4: for kids except for the act. Like the act like
- 53:34Speaker 4: probably at least likely for kids. And only one of
- 53:38Speaker 4: them is continuing to go because one of them is, Like,
- 53:42Speaker 4: I'm not saying it's boring, but like the story is
- 53:45Speaker 4: is boring, man. And it only it's only it's only
- 53:49Speaker 4: exists because Rogue one was so good, right, like it's
- 53:53Speaker 4: it's this thing. Then it's a new hope Rogue one,
- 53:57Speaker 4: and then and or right, it's easy to tell the
- 54:00Speaker 4: story in and Or. It's so easy to say the
- 54:02Speaker 4: empire is bad and if you're not help, if you're
- 54:05Speaker 4: not doing your part, shame on you. Pick up a
- 54:08Speaker 4: brick and throw it at the Nazis. That's such an
- 54:11Speaker 4: easy story to tell. And like you said, Clay, at
- 54:15Speaker 4: some point, we gotta we gotta admit that that's gonna
- 54:18Speaker 4: be boring if that's all we're gonna be doing for
- 54:21Speaker 4: the next whatever, you know, years, Even the Air of
- 54:24Speaker 4: the Empire stuff, I'm not even that excited about. Man,
- 54:26Speaker 4: we saw Luke's story finish if I want Luke Skywalker stuff,
- 54:30Speaker 4: plenty of great comics that will probably be anything better
- 54:33Speaker 4: than we get in animation or in live action, because
- 54:36Speaker 4: those stories are already so good. So why do you
- 54:38Speaker 4: want to just stay? Why do you want to stay
- 54:40Speaker 4: here in this era and only care about that this era?
- 54:45Speaker 3: I will always share this beings with anybody and everybody
- 54:49Speaker 3: that complains about Star Wars. I love this interview I
- 54:53Speaker 3: reposted every single time I see it on Instagram, on TikTok.
- 54:57Speaker 3: I love just the way Freddy said what he had
- 55:02Speaker 3: to say. Star Wars is for fucking kids. The prequels
- 55:07Speaker 3: were for fucking kids, and the sequels were for fucking kids.
- 55:13Speaker 3: It's it's so good and for me in this whole decision,
- 55:21Speaker 3: I again, I'm gonna be hyperbolic. I'm probably gonna be
- 55:26Speaker 3: negative until I don't know when you know. I go
- 55:29Speaker 3: back to s Bub's comment here on YouTube. I've been
- 55:34Speaker 3: on the I don't believe these movies or shows exist
- 55:37Speaker 3: or will be made until I am sitting down watching
- 55:39Speaker 3: it boat for years now. This is I don't know
- 55:43Speaker 3: how many of our listeners have listened to the GUA
- 55:47Speaker 3: for I don't know how long I used to be
- 55:49Speaker 3: on the DC Show. Uh, And I kind of got
- 55:53Speaker 3: kicked off the DC Show because I was in this
- 55:56Speaker 3: boat for DC Movies. I was just like, hey, you
- 55:58Speaker 3: know what, everything is kind of in limbo. This sucks.
- 56:01Speaker 3: I hate it here. I want DC Movies and I
- 56:06Speaker 3: didn't get them. And so I came to another franchise
- 56:09Speaker 3: that I absolutely love. And now Disney is like, hey, Clay,
- 56:14Speaker 3: I personally want to attack you over and over and
- 56:16Speaker 3: over again, and this is what I get for it. Like,
- 56:19Speaker 3: I hate it here. This timeline sucks.
- 56:24Speaker 4: I told them when it initially happened. I told somebody
- 56:28Speaker 4: that if you're on the side of Elon Musk and
- 56:31Speaker 4: just about anything, you're probably wrong. And he's over here
- 56:35Speaker 4: tweeting that he's happy that like this is stuff's happening.
- 56:39Speaker 4: So like, if that's the camp you want to be in, hey,
- 56:42Speaker 4: more power to you, man, more power to you be
- 56:44Speaker 4: in that camp. Have fun with all of these just
- 56:47Speaker 4: I think bad people who don't care about me as
- 56:51Speaker 4: a person of color, who don't care about you Katie
- 56:54Speaker 4: as a woman, Like there's just so much of like
- 56:56Speaker 4: that part of the fandom that I don't understand why
- 56:58Speaker 4: we're catering to because imagine they just keep doing this
- 57:01Speaker 4: how much content? Because even if you keep making it,
- 57:04Speaker 4: even if you keep making it and you still have
- 57:06Speaker 4: all these gripters, that's still Star Wars going. That's what
- 57:10Speaker 4: are we gonna be talking about? What are these people
- 57:11Speaker 4: gonna be talking about once all of these shows get canceled?
- 57:15Speaker 4: What are they going to be talking about? Because you
- 57:17Speaker 4: know they're not reading the books. You know they're not
- 57:19Speaker 4: reading the comics of the High Republic and all these things.
- 57:22Speaker 4: And we know that because they don't know their own
- 57:24Speaker 4: eu legends material that they're they seem to cling so
- 57:28Speaker 4: hard onto. So we're gonna get bored. But they're gonna
- 57:31Speaker 4: get bored too, because they're not gonna have anything to
- 57:32Speaker 4: talk about because they hated everything new that came out.
- 57:36Speaker 4: Until we're just gonna get what is the Skywalkers doing
- 57:39Speaker 4: this week?
- 57:39Speaker 3: On?
- 57:40Speaker 4: In between the movies?
- 57:44Speaker 3: Tell me a matter of time before they remake four
- 57:48Speaker 3: or five and six. I still believe it. It's going
- 57:52Speaker 3: to get so bad they're like, oh, this is the
- 57:54Speaker 3: only thing that we can cater to. Now, let's do it.
- 57:58Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, y'all. I think that it's about it
- 58:04Speaker 2: on the Acolyte that we.
- 58:09Speaker 3: Can talk about.
- 58:09Speaker 2: I don't want to talk in circles about it.
- 58:13Speaker 4: Yeah, now you're right. It's been an hour of me
- 58:16Speaker 4: being angry and now I want to go play some
- 58:18Speaker 4: words outlaws. Yeah, to be happy again.
- 58:23Speaker 2: All right, Well, Adrian, is that you're yeah? I didn't
- 58:28Speaker 2: if you were joining us for the review or not.
- 58:30Speaker 4: Sorry, I haven't. I haven't done. I have another review,
- 58:32Speaker 4: but I'm excited to hear your thoughts on it once.
- 58:34Speaker 4: I'm once. I'm caught up because like a normal person,
- 58:37Speaker 4: I wait until I make my opinions on things, and
- 58:40Speaker 4: I don't, you know, just say oh that's bad because
- 58:44Speaker 4: because because reasons. But no, it's been been it's been
- 58:46Speaker 4: a really good time. I didn't even make any videos
- 58:49Speaker 4: about like this stuff because I just knew that it
- 58:51Speaker 4: would just take me a long time to like get
- 58:53Speaker 4: out and articulate. So I appreciate you guys let me
- 58:55Speaker 4: come on and and vent a little bit because my
- 58:58Speaker 4: wife and I are angry. But it's just us here
- 59:00Speaker 4: Star Wars fans. So it's been really great and we
- 59:03Speaker 4: appreciate you guys so much, and thanks thanks for letting
- 59:05Speaker 4: come on.
- 59:06Speaker 2: Yeah, as all as you're always welcome back, So tell
- 59:08Speaker 2: us where they can find you.
- 59:10Speaker 4: Yeah, and you can find me primarily on Instagram and
- 59:13Speaker 4: TikTok these days at super Reese ninety three right there,
- 59:17Speaker 4: you know, and then on but Why Though, where I
- 59:20Speaker 4: do a lot of the Star Wars writing for them,
- 59:23Speaker 4: so I'll have some Outlaw pieces coming out here in
- 59:25Speaker 4: the coming weeks, and I'll probably be the one reviewing
- 59:27Speaker 4: Skeleton Crew as well, so you can expect those from
- 59:30Speaker 4: me over there at but Why. They've done it.
- 59:33Speaker 2: Awesome sauce. Thanks Adrian, talk.
- 59:35Speaker 4: To you later, right, yeah, beat me out.
- 59:37Speaker 2: We're gonna go into our second ad break and we'll
- 59:41Speaker 2: be right back. I wasn't sure if you were doing it.
- 59:44Speaker 3: Our priv is doing well. We we messed up when
- 59:48Speaker 3: I was joining, so I didn't want to mess that
- 59:53Speaker 3: up again. So yeah, now that we are done talking
- 59:57Speaker 3: about the Accolte, I want to go ahead and also
- 59:59Speaker 3: say thank you to everybody who decided to join us
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: on this conversation over at YouTube. Listeners of the podcast,
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: you can always join us every single Wednesday night, seven
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: pm Eastern Eastern Stanner time. Mostly there are you know,
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: some things do come up and we have to switch
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: that time around. But every single week Wednesdays at seven
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: pm Eastern Standard time. Right now, we are going to
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: be reviewing Edge of Balance, volume three in the High
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: Republic era. Of course, this is a part of Phase
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: three or way three, Phase three, I'm pretty sure it's
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: phase Phase three, Phase three of the High Republic, which
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: is of course the ending of the High repub Public Initiative,
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: if you will. So, you know, even that even makes
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: me sad. It's the ending. We are getting the ending
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: next year. Well, no, no, no, twenty six, beginning of twenty.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: Well next year is it next year?
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: Nope, it's next year Sumber five. So we are we
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: are no longer going to be in the High Republic,
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: you know, by the end of next year. And it's
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: super sad. And this is probably one of the one
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: things that saved my love and rekindled my passion for
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: Star Wars. But enough of all the sad days.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: We'll always have books. We will take my physical copy
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: from me. Uh.
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: I do get a lot of the audio books though,
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: so that's kind of scary, yes, yeah, So let's go
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: ahead and jump into this review, Katie. This of course
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: is the very interesting kind of avenue that the High
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: Republic took with making mangas. Of course, I wouldn't necessarily
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: call this a manga because it's not backwards. It isn't
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: black and white. Uh, but you know, uh, it's it's
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: a Star Wars comic in black and white that is
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: very much in the same vein as manga. So, uh, hey,
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: do you want to go ahead and open us up
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: with this rendition of Edge of Balance?
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: Yes? So this volume of Edge of Balance is by
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: Shima Shinya and Daniel Hose the Older with art by Mizuki,
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: And I'm gonna butcher this. I'm really sorry, Saka Kibara again,
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: I apologize.
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: But we head.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: Back with our main character Lily, as well as we
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: get our cough and uh sav involved. Those are kind
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: of our main trio, along with two younglings to Gruta
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: and then a human now that I can't remember the
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: names of they're in the back book.
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: They are the Vima and viv Nia, Vivinia and Nima.
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: Yes, but our main character is Lily. And so this
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: takes place, I want to say, I don't exactly know
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: where it takes place at in like the rest of
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: the books, I'm gonna say it takes place. Do you know.
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: I was gonna say due to the fact that in
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: this book we see h oh, shoot, what is her name? Master?
- 1:03:42Speaker 6: No?
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: No, no, Master, such a physic? No no no? Uh shoot,
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: what is her name? The one that likes bombs? Zav Zav. Yes,
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: Master Zav lies to a separate planet and then waits
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: until they are part of the occlusion zone, being engulfed
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: by the inclusion zone. We know that due to some
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: of the findings of the Council and other Jedi Knights,
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: that we have found a way inside the occlusion zone.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: This tells me that it might be even before all
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: of that. So I think it might be like the beginning.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: That's what I was gonna say too.
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: It really feels that way, maybe.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: Like right after I have darkness, because they're tracking it
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: because the moon that she flies to is in orbit
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: around Banshee, and the moon goes in and out of
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: the occlusion zone.
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: And they also mention the Guardian Protocols. And I have
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: an opinion on Yoda's opinion of Lily with the Guardian Protocols,
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: and we'll talk about that later. But they mentioned the
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: Guardian Protocols and it feels very fresh in this book. Yes,
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: so it feels like, hey, this was probably just assigned,
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: so kind of I would probably say, even this might
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: take place during the events. Oh well, I don't know. No, no,
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: So Aslin and Yoda are part of this, we see
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: Wreath also being a part of this as well. I
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: take that back. This might be right before Wreath's book
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: that is coming out next month.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: It might be because they talk about the blight.
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: Yeah, they talk about the blight. And I know that
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: like Lily and her Ragtag grew because even viv Nia
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: and Nima were a part of volume one and two,
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: they were just very very little. They were still very little,
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: very you know, the start of their training and everything.
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: They still had, like the safety training lightsabers back then
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: as well. And I think they mentioned the fact that
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: they still have them but they could be getting upgrades
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: soon in this book. But this book has always kind
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: of felt what's the right word outside of everything else
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: that we're reading, And this is kind of the first
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: time that I feel like, Okay, this is very connective
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: to the story that we are currently reading in the
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: rest of Wave three, and I really liked that part
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: this Like this felt like, hey, whereas the other ones
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: felt like, hey, this is all going on during waves
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: one and two, and this Edge of Balance is kind
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: of like, hey, this is kind of being affected, but
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: not really. This is only a story about this particular Jedi,
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: whereas this is still pushing the narrative of Way three
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: as a whole. So that's why I feel like this
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: one is a little bit more different, and why this
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: I think is kind of stapled into the timeline that
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: we're currently reading, which is going to be before the
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: next teen novel. I think the Silas book is a
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: teen novel.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: So yes, the young adult book. I it might be
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: before Temptation.
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: Of the Force, like that would also make sense, but.
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: I think it's definitely after the last young adult book, so.
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: Defy the Storm. I believe Defy the Storm ended with
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: Wreath and Aslan and he was kind of in charge
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: of like watching over him, So I think that does
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: make sense that this might be before Temptation but after Defying, right, So.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: I this is probably my favorite of the Edge of
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: Balanced books.
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: Yes, I love this one. I'm gonna go ahead and
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: skip ahead, but we will talk about it when it happens.
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: I got a little emotional. Yes, surprisingly right, like as
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: as somebody, as not as somebody, but reading about a
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: character that we still, for some reason know hardly anything about.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: Getting these few pages with Aslin felt so emotional, so powerful.
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: I really dug this learning. And again I'm kind of
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: showing my hand here. I ordered it. It's right there
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: on my bookshelf. I still haven't read Precedent. I haven't
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: read the one. I was going to ask you a question,
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: which which does I believe show that Arkov is in
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: fact the master of Asla.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: See, I don't remember that. And I was going to
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: try to read Precedent, and I did not have time.
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: I was supposed to read it right after work today
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: and then Abby was like, let's go out to eat,
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: and I was like, I'm hungry, So I just like
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: my stomach was thinking for me. Uh, so I didn't
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: have time to read it. I am probably going to
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: read it immediately after I edit the podcast tonight. But
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: I remember Arkov was supposed to be a big part
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: of that book, and I know that it was a
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: part of Wave or Phase two, which is set in
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: the past, and I know Aslin was introduced in Wave two.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: So I was like, I connected the dots myself, and
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: I was like, oh, this is probably something everybody else knows,
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: but I'm finding out right here right now. Cool whatever.
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: But I don't remember that happening. I knew they were friends,
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: I did not realize that Arkov was Alflin Girl's master.
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: There is so much in Arkov's silence in this book.
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: It's so good.
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: It is I which which I absolutely love about black
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: and white comics because when you read a comic, you're
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: ooh ah, colors at pops, big splash page, you know,
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: all of these different things. The one thing for me
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: personally when it comes to black and white comics, especially mangas,
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: because it's sometimes smaller detail instead of like big panels
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: and stuff. You have to pay more attention. You have
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: to really look at things, and with things like as
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: subtle as when Lily is talking to Arkov and you
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: see his pupils like freaking dilate, really small, because he's
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: like surprised, and it's just like some of these funny
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: things that happen. But also when Lily is talking to
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: another member of the group, she's like, oh, well, I'm
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: really worried about Arkov and he's just stoically standing there
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: off to the side, contemplating about things, and it just
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: feels so intense and I actually really really dig it.
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: But this book, again being a part of the timeline
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: where we're currently at, we know about the blight, we
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: know that dream Gear have returned. This is the first
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: time that Lily and her ragtag group of individuals are
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: seeing that happen. They've dealt with the dream Gear head
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: on before, so they are very intensely like, oh crap,
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: Like what's gonna happen now? But it starts off as
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: like this weird Scooby Doo episode, because like we are
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: getting resurrections of the c yeah, like a tree zombies,
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: wood zombies. And I almost I almost thought that her
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: Padawan was going to be a part of that.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: I know I would have lost my shit.
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: And I thought I was like, oh crap, that's so heavy.
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: And I really love the way Lily has learned, Hey,
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: I have always been so impacted by like being over
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: prepared or not prepared enough, or like focusing on the
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: wrong things. I'm gonna live in the now. When things happen,
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: that's when I need to react. And she's learned to
- 1:13:23Speaker 3: be mindful and peaceful with her time as the protector
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: of Banshee, and I really dig that growth in her character.
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: So I really dig I really love that. But when
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: the drindear appear as then is a part of that group.
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: At this point, Yoda is there and they're like, oh, crap,
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: drink gear, let's do something about it. And Lily is like,
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: hold on, there's no malicious intent. There's nobody trying to
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: kill us. We're fine, did you get it? No, it's
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: all good, but uh, there's no malicious intent. But I
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: also love the little tidbits that we're getting from Asthen
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: because we know that he fell to the dark Side,
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: right and in my mind, and I don't know, I
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: don't know how you feel about this. So as far
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: as sith dark Side users all of these things, the
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: precedent kind of comes to Anakin. Anakin fell out of
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: the dark Side, he became Darth Vader. He was the
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: most malicious evil thing in Star Wars, and then he
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: saved his son and Boom redeemed himself. Right, but the
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: dark Side holds so much weight and like, oh you're
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: evil now, like people were like, there's so many people
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: still on the wrong side of thinking that Aslan is
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: like this evil individual, and even Yoda was like, hey,
- 1:15:10Speaker 3: he can still be useful, blah blah blah. The decisions
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: that Aslen makes in this book is what got me emotional,
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: because this is a guy that felt forced I have
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: to go to the dark side to save the ones
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: that I love. The ones that I love are the Jedi,
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: the ones that I love, my master, my friends, all
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: of these things. He even says like I should have
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: died a long time ago, like that's just the way
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: things go. But I have been held by fear, and
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: he lives by fear, and of course that's something that
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: the dark Side holds over you. And like, again, I
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: haven't read precedent, so I don't know how this equates
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: to that, and I don't even know if they do.
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: But there's a moment where as then, of course, because
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: he has literally no eyeballs, you see how he quote
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: unquote remembers our CoV and it's like this like zombiees
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: drin gear amalgamation of a Wookie, and it's like, holy crap, dude,
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: like chill out, like what happened? And he even says,
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: I just remember memories, and I'm like, oh snap, what happened?
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: Like like why is he remembering this? But there does
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: finally become a moment after that whole conversation where he
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: says I can finally see you and you see what
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: he can see and it's ARCoV like in its prime
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: or whatever. Uh So I really dig these moments, And
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: I know we're focusing on Aslan, but like I feel
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: like there's a really good progression with his character and
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: like getting to learn something about him. I really dug that.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: Yeah, it was really nice to finally feel like we
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: were getting something from Aslan and Aslin isn't just a
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: secret anymore, because even in precedent he feels like a
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: secret and it's like, okay, the Jenna are shamed that
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: he kind of went crazy because he saw the Nameless
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: and he's afraid for his life, Like he ended up
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: in a sanatorium. That's like where he's at in precedent. Yeah,
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: So like getting to see him and get that growth
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: and go, okay, we're stepping into the light a little bit.
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: We're finally learning more about him. Awesome. I loved it. Lily,
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: I feel really good about as a character now, Like
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: she's felt a little boring the first two volumes, but like,
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: I'm finally seeing her as the character I think that
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: she was always meant to be. And yeah, I'm I
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: love Arkoff. I love artwork with Arkoff. I don't think
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: this has done the best justice to a Wookie character.
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: I like, you get a lot of interpretations in his face. Yes,
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: the artwork is always phenomenal. I don't feel like I'm
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: getting enough from Arkoff though, but maybe that's because I'm
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: a word person. I enjoy words.
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: And but one thing that we kind of knew from
- 1:18:32Speaker 3: I believe volume one. In volume two, Arkoff doesn't say
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: a lot. He doesn't. He's a stoic character, and that
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: was the really big thing. And I think, just like,
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: and I say just like, but I feel like Chewy
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: is kind of the opposite, I should say, more like Burry.
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: Arkoff is like Bury. When Bury says something, it's worth saying, Like,
- 1:19:01Speaker 3: he doesn't just say things just to say things, And
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: it's because of his empathy towards just the universe, you know.
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: And I think with our CoV right now, I think
- 1:19:15Speaker 3: you're right. I think that there needs to be something
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: more with this character. Because yes, it's fine and dandy
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: that he can be. The Stoic doesn't say much type
- 1:19:27Speaker 3: of master. But when you're implying so much history and
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: so much connection with Aslin and all of this other stuff,
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: like it almost feels like, Hey, we just needed a
- 1:19:43Speaker 3: Wookie a part of this initiative, and we'll make it
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: this character, you know, like kind of like a checklist.
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: And I don't want Arkov to be like that because
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: I feel like there's something there and I want to
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: know more of that.
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: Yes, Sam, we are getting at least two more volumes,
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: so we're getting Edge of Balance Premonition and Edge of
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: Balance volume four. So least we're getting a couple more
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: because the story here is definitely left unfinished. Well, I
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: don't want to hit too much on the story because
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: it's very short, it's very quick read. But what did
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: you think about the creature that could use the force
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: on aston Ban the.
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: Zim talk zim talk was ah, from what it looked
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: like a three eyed lemur uh that could use the force.
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: I think it's cool. I think that we need to
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: see more of this in Star Wars. We don't see
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: a lot of it. There's only you know, so much
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: uh of you know, those things that happen. My mind
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: immediately goes to what are the creatures called in uh
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: you Sammary, Yes, the ones that negate the force in
- 1:21:15Speaker 3: the uh uh uh. I can't remember the trilogy the Empire, yes,
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: or the Empire trilogy, but yeah, it's those are the
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: creatures that immediately come to mind. And of course with
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: the Nameless, we know that they feed off of the Force.
- 1:21:35Speaker 3: So there's many characters or or creatures should I say,
- 1:21:41Speaker 3: that are connected to the Force in Star Wars. Seeing
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: this one actually use the Force and it was very subtle,
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: I had to like look at the page like twice, yeah,
- 1:21:51Speaker 3: before I finally realized, like, oh, that's what happened. And
- 1:21:55Speaker 3: then you get reaffirmed by the night Hill being like, hey,
- 1:21:59Speaker 3: that thing just used the ful. You know. You're like, ah, okay, yeah,
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: so I dig it. I like it. I want to
- 1:22:06Speaker 3: see more of it.
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what we get for
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: the future. So let's go to Amazon, because I gotta
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: know when things are gonna come out, and I just
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: don't trust anything other than Amazon. Now it does after
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: last week.
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: They at the at the end of this volume, which
- 1:22:31Speaker 3: I really did appreciate They're like, oh, to be continued
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: an Edge of the Balance four, and I was like, yes,
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: we're getting more, but I think I already knew that.
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: I just forgot Yes, So Edge of Balance Volume four
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: is due out April twenty second, twenty twenty five, and
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: then Premish is due out April eighth, twenty twenty five.
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: I imagine that's going to change.
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: Those are gonna shift probably, yeah.
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: So yeah, so those are the current release dates. So yeah,
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: I really enjoyed this one. Like I said, probably my
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: favorite of what we've gotten. Yes, actually, I'm going to
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: say it back, definitely my favorite.
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: I will agree. Master. I always forget her name. Remind
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: me again, sav Zav yes zav right z sav sav
- 1:23:38Speaker 3: s Uh. I love her energy because of course we
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: got to see a little insight of her as a
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: child in Adventures, seeing that kind of like very childlike
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: mind still in her. I think it's like she looks
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: she also looks like a stoic badass, just like with
- 1:24:04Speaker 3: her big the disc helmet, the mask, the cloak, Like
- 1:24:11Speaker 3: she looks like a very stoic individual, but then is
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: all like she she I feel like she's a little crazy. Yes,
- 1:24:20Speaker 3: it might also be because of the age. You know,
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: we've seen how Yoda ends up, right, So when and
- 1:24:31Speaker 3: this is the only story beat I'll say, is she
- 1:24:35Speaker 3: lands on the moon and she just straight up blows
- 1:24:41Speaker 3: up her own ship and the droid is like, what
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: did you just do? And they're like, well, I I
- 1:24:47Speaker 3: you know, I can't just let them know that we're here.
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: Yes, And the Droid's like, how the hell are we
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: getting back?
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: She's like, oh, we'll just still one other ships.
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: You know that loved it.
- 1:25:01Speaker 3: It's fine. I love I love how The joid is like,
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: is that the real reasoning? Or do you just like
- 1:25:12Speaker 3: blowing things up? And she was like, why can't it
- 1:25:15Speaker 3: be both?
- 1:25:18Speaker 4: You know?
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: So I love her. She's awesome. But yeah, this this
- 1:25:23Speaker 3: was such a great story. I need those dates to
- 1:25:29Speaker 3: shift a little bit because I feel like I need
- 1:25:32Speaker 3: more of this story now that I am actually really
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: getting into it. Yeah, and and I would love to
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: see something uh separate with our call to learn a
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: little bit more about his character. Uh and and go
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: a little bit more in depth with that.
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: For sure. All Right, y'all, well, Clay, where can they
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: find you? As we both go on, Yes.
- 1:25:58Speaker 3: You can find me, of course, at Fanboy, play, on Twitter,
- 1:26:02Speaker 3: on threads, and any and all social media, so go
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: check me out on all of those. Currently, Jake and
- 1:26:11Speaker 3: I are going to be reviewing some of Poweringer's Turbo
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: over at Ranger Alliance, so go check that out as well.
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: We got a little tease for the new Poweringer's comics,
- 1:26:26Speaker 3: so we're gonna be excited about that. And yeah, that's
- 1:26:30Speaker 3: mainly it. On Twitter, I'm just posting a lot of
- 1:26:35Speaker 3: Marvel Snap content. It's something that I'm really enjoying doing.
- 1:26:40Speaker 3: My wife Abby, being the marketing genius that she is,
- 1:26:43Speaker 3: is helping me create some amazing photos for all of
- 1:26:48Speaker 3: my deb guides and all of that, so it's really
- 1:26:50Speaker 3: really fun. It's content that I'm actually enjoying to do.
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: And I start a new job, so when it comes
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: to comics reading content in general, I might be a
- 1:27:06Speaker 3: little behind on things in the first month, so please
- 1:27:12Speaker 3: be diligent of that when it comes to conversations online,
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: because I may not have a clue what you're talking about.
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: But yeah, really excited about the new job and hopefully
- 1:27:25Speaker 3: I no longer have to do any manual labor thankfully.
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: Huzza are you you can find me on those social
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: media platforms. It is at place of Katie. The show
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: you can find on Twitter, at stars Lands, at the
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: eight and the war is very important. Don't forget it.
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: Remember you can always send us questions. Let us know
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: how you're feeling. How are you feeling about the cancelation
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: of the Accolade? Please tell us. We really would like
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: to share your thoughts. So yeah, next week we're going
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: to be diving back into the higher public with Young
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: Jedi Adventures Season two, Part one. So with that, I
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: want to wish everyone a great day or night to
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: whatever time day you are listening or watching, and we
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: will see you next time. May the Force to be
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: with you.
