- 0:01Speaker 1: Israel is also defending many of the countries whose delegates
- 0:05Speaker 1: just left this hall. In fact, I want you to
- 0:08Speaker 1: know that many of their leaders even thank us privately
- 0:11Speaker 1: for taking out Iran's nukes. It's hard to imagine more
- 0:15Speaker 1: mind-blowing hypocrisy, but that's exactly what it is.
- 0:18Speaker 2: You're listening to the 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Good Friday morning. It's nice to have you with us
- 0:24Speaker 3: on the 47 Morning Update. And we've got two big
- 0:26Speaker 3: stories for you. First up, Democrats now going after Donald
- 0:30Speaker 3: Trump with a new campaign strategy. This time they're calling
- 0:34Speaker 3: it Latino Power. Yes, Democrats now are coming out saying
- 0:39Speaker 3: they want to abolish the Department of Homeland Security and ICE,
- 0:43Speaker 3: and instead use the money to give out handouts, government
- 0:47Speaker 3: aid to illegal immigrants. We'll break that down for you. Also,
- 0:51Speaker 3: there was major meetings that took place yesterday in D.C.
- 0:54Speaker 3: between the leader of China, Xi, and President Donald Trump.
- 0:59Speaker 3: AI was a big part of that conversation, and we
- 1:01Speaker 3: now know a lot more about what America was asking. Now,
- 1:05Speaker 3: before we get to those stories, somewhere along the way,
- 1:08Speaker 3: we got the idea that a serious education and a
- 1:10Speaker 3: strong Christian faith have to live in two different worlds.
- 1:14Speaker 3: They don't. At Regents University, faith isn't an afterthought. In fact,
- 1:19Speaker 3: it's at the heart of education. Students are challenged to
- 1:23Speaker 3: think deeply, pursue excellence. and see their education through a
- 1:27Speaker 3: Christian worldview. And make no mistake, Regent is serious about academics.
- 1:33Speaker 3: With more than 150 areas of study, Regent has earned
- 1:37Speaker 3: national recognition for academic excellence. Because a great education shouldn't
- 1:42Speaker 3: just prepare you to make a living. It should prepare
- 1:44Speaker 3: you to make a difference, to lead with integrity, and
- 1:49Speaker 3: use your God-given talents with purpose. And here's the great part.
- 1:53Speaker 3: You can get the same region education online. You can
- 1:57Speaker 3: learn from wherever you are on a schedule that works
- 2:00Speaker 3: around your career and your family without compromising your education
- 2:05Speaker 3: or your faith. Exceptional academics. Flexible online learning. and unapologetically Christian.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Learn more at regent.edu. That's R-E-G-E-N-T dot E-D-U, Regent University,
- 2:21Speaker 3: Christian leadership to change the world. It's the 47 Morning Update,
- 2:25Speaker 3: and it starts right now.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 2:29Speaker 3: So if you want to know what Democrats are planning
- 2:31Speaker 3: if they get back the House or the Senate in
- 2:34Speaker 3: the midterm elections, well, they're referring to it as Latino power. Yes.
- 2:40Speaker 3: The elected daughter of two Guatemalan illegal immigrants is touting
- 2:45Speaker 3: Latino power. That's what they're quoting it like. That's it.
- 2:48Speaker 3: It's like imagine the big sign on the wall lit
- 2:51Speaker 3: up at LED Latino power. So what is Latino power
- 2:55Speaker 3: and what is the Democratic Party doing to sell it? Well,
- 2:58Speaker 3: it is bribery. She is now demanding that the $ 150
- 3:03Speaker 3: billion in funding for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, you
- 3:07Speaker 3: know it as CBP, as well as the Immigration Customs Enforcement,
- 3:12Speaker 3: known as ICE, will all that money be redirected to fund,
- 3:16Speaker 3: you ready for this, illegal migrants. That's her words. Quote,
- 3:22Speaker 3: we're going to completely defund and strip authority from ICE
- 3:26Speaker 3: and CBP, which, again, she was excited about and all
- 3:30Speaker 3: the other Democrats around her. She declared all of this,
- 3:33Speaker 3: by the way, in Spanish. Yeah, you want to talk
- 3:37Speaker 3: about getting out the vote for the midterms. She was
- 3:39Speaker 3: also joined by her pro-migrant allies, including illegal immigrants, Islamic advocates,
- 3:45Speaker 3: and Asian advocates as well. They also had a good
- 3:49Speaker 3: old lesbian Chicago politician and other far-leaning Democrats who were
- 3:53Speaker 3: all there while she spoke in Spanish. She also added
- 3:56Speaker 3: in Spanish this. Instead, we're going to create a Department
- 4:00Speaker 3: of Community Safety where immigration will no longer be handled
- 4:04Speaker 3: by the Department of Homeland Security, which likes to call
- 4:08Speaker 3: immigrants terrorists when it wants to attack them. And... Our
- 4:12Speaker 3: immigrant people will no longer have to live with the
- 4:15Speaker 3: fear of this system. I guess that means the fear
- 4:17Speaker 3: of like law and order and deporting people that break
- 4:20Speaker 3: into the United States of America, right? Now, why are
- 4:23Speaker 3: they doing this? They're all doing it because of Donald
- 4:25Speaker 3: Trump and the success of closing down the southern border.
- 4:29Speaker 3: And I guess that's why they're saying it in Spanish,
- 4:31Speaker 3: because they only want to be talking to apparently people
- 4:33Speaker 3: that speak Spanish only. And I guess they thought it
- 4:37Speaker 3: would be like some sort of Jedi mind trick on
- 4:39Speaker 3: the rest of America. They really won't know what we're
- 4:41Speaker 3: doing if we just talk in Spanish. Now, the Democrats
- 4:44Speaker 3: advocacy for illegal migration. has also been slammed by GOP
- 4:50Speaker 3: legislators in response. Representative De La Ramirez shows exactly why
- 4:55Speaker 3: it's time to end birthright citizenship for the children of
- 4:57Speaker 3: illegal aliens. It can empower those with no loyalty to
- 5:02Speaker 3: America to dismantle it from within. That's what Representative Brandon
- 5:05Speaker 3: Gill of Texas said in a response on X. I
- 5:08Speaker 3: believe in American power is what Gill also added, saying
- 5:13Speaker 3: your parents were illegal aliens who showed no regard for
- 5:15Speaker 3: our nation or its laws when they came here. You
- 5:19Speaker 3: should be beyond grateful that a legal loophole allowed you
- 5:23Speaker 3: to enjoy the fruits of a first world nation. Instead,
- 5:27Speaker 3: you're working to end immigration enforcement, telling actual Americans that
- 5:32Speaker 3: their birthright of citizenship doesn't belong to them and that
- 5:35Speaker 3: our nation and its culture have no meaning or value
- 5:38Speaker 3: to you. You have no love or appreciation for America because,
- 5:43Speaker 3: at the end of the day, you still proudly consider
- 5:45Speaker 3: yourself a Guatemalan before you are a citizen of America. Now,
- 5:50Speaker 3: in August of 2025, Ramirez declared, quote, I'm a proud
- 5:54Speaker 3: Guatemalan before I am an American. Let me say that again.
- 6:00Speaker 3: This is a woman who is wanting to have power
- 6:04Speaker 3: in America, who is declaring in 2025, I am proud.
- 6:10Speaker 3: I'm a proud Guatemalan before I'm an American. Now, that
- 6:14Speaker 3: was reported and there was video of it. Here's what
- 6:18Speaker 3: it sounded like. Oh, wait, I'm sorry. It's in Spanish
- 6:26Speaker 3: because apparently that's now how you run for office and
- 6:29Speaker 3: apparently how you win if you're Representative De La Ramirez,
- 6:32Speaker 3: who's again proud to be a Guatemalan before she is
- 6:36Speaker 3: an American. Now, Ramirez support for migrants would shift vast wealth,
- 6:41Speaker 3: as she described it, as well as political power from
- 6:44Speaker 3: American citizens and their children to illegal immigrants. And as
- 6:49Speaker 3: she described them, this is not a joke. Investors. It
- 6:52Speaker 3: would exacerbate the wealth transfer that has accelerated since 1990
- 6:57Speaker 3: when Democrats and Republicans united double the legalized migration up
- 7:01Speaker 3: to roughly one million legalized migrants per year or roughly
- 7:05Speaker 3: one migrant for every fourth U.S. birth. That actually happened,
- 7:10Speaker 3: and a lot of people don't talk about it. Now,
- 7:12Speaker 3: this new pro-illegal immigrant policy also has deep support in
- 7:18Speaker 3: the Democratic Party, partly because migrants helped to fund and
- 7:22Speaker 3: expand the Democrats' urban political machines. In New York, for example,
- 7:26Speaker 3: Mondani has created an Office of Community Safety. What does
- 7:31Speaker 3: it do? Literally, as he described it, it shields the
- 7:35Speaker 3: city's huge population from of wage-cutting welfare using migrants from
- 7:41Speaker 3: President Donald Trump's 2024 deportation mandate. And that is what
- 7:46Speaker 3: your tax dollars are going for.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Now, Representative De La Ramirez, who.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Loves speaking Spanish, isn't the only one attacking Donald Trump
- 7:54Speaker 3: and law and order. Mondani earlier this year made a
- 7:57Speaker 3: serious statement saying, about making sure that illegal immigrants are
- 8:01Speaker 3: a number one priority above American citizens when it comes
- 8:04Speaker 3: to welfare. And here was his warning to Donald Trump
- 8:08Speaker 3: and the White House.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Just last month, the federal government finalized a set of
- 8:12Speaker 5: drastic and unlawful changes to our country's public charge rule,
- 8:17Speaker 5: a rule that makes it possible for someone to be
- 8:19Speaker 5: denied immigration status based on the likelihood of their need
- 8:22Speaker 5: for public benefits. Set to go into effect this coming Friday,
- 8:27Speaker 5: September 18th, The new public charge rule expands the list
- 8:30Speaker 5: of public benefits that might count against green card or
- 8:33Speaker 5: visa applicants. If you are a citizen or an individual
- 8:37Speaker 5: seeking humanitarian relief like asylum, these changes will not affect you.
- 8:41Speaker 5: The new federal public charge rule not only sweeps aside
- 8:45Speaker 5: more than a century of established law, it is intentionally
- 8:49Speaker 5: vague as a means of creating uncertainty and fear to
- 8:53Speaker 5: isolate immigrant New Yorkers, to force them to make an
- 8:55Speaker 5: impossible choice between meeting their own basic needs and continuing
- 9:00Speaker 5: to live in the city that they love. Make no mistake,
- 9:03Speaker 5: this is an undisguised effort to strip New Yorkers of
- 9:06Speaker 5: the services they rely on, the public benefits they are
- 9:10Speaker 5: entitled to. Families, including those with children who are U.S. citizens,
- 9:15Speaker 5: have already begun to forego essential services like SNAP, Medicaid,
- 9:19Speaker 5: and affordable housing out of the fear that if they
- 9:22Speaker 5: use these programs, immigration officers could use it as justification
- 9:26Speaker 5: to deny them a future in our country. The toll
- 9:29Speaker 5: of this new rule cannot be overstated. It is estimated
- 9:33Speaker 5: that up to 4 million people from across the country
- 9:36Speaker 5: could unenroll from their health care alone, including 1.8 million children.
- 9:41Speaker 5: None of this is abstract. People could die.
- 9:45Speaker 3: So there you have it. People will die. Not Americans.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Illegal immigrants, he says. So therefore, that's exactly why we
- 9:51Speaker 3: should do all of these radical things with your tax dollars.
- 9:54Speaker 3: So this is the Democratic Party. This is what they
- 9:57Speaker 3: want to do. They want to act. get rid of
- 10:00Speaker 3: the Department of Homeland Security. They want to get rid
- 10:02Speaker 3: of immigration enforcement. They want to make sure that any
- 10:05Speaker 3: bad people in this country that get in here illegally,
- 10:08Speaker 3: no one can arrest them. I'll say it again. This
- 10:13Speaker 3: is what they're now calling Latina power. Latina power. And
- 10:18Speaker 3: they'll say it all in Spanish. Yes, because why would
- 10:23Speaker 3: we not say it in Spanish when we're an elected
- 10:25Speaker 3: American citizen? Welcome, my friends, to exactly what the Democrats
- 10:29Speaker 3: are wanting to do if they get their power back
- 10:32Speaker 3: in the midterms.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Next, story number two.
- 10:35Speaker 3: One of the biggest things that President Donald Trump talked about,
- 10:38Speaker 3: we now have learned with Xi Jinping, The man in
- 10:41Speaker 3: charge of China and the Communist Party there, it was
- 10:43Speaker 3: all about the war with AI. I've described this as
- 10:47Speaker 3: a Cold War. It's happening right now. China is using
- 10:51Speaker 3: influence campaigns, spending countless dollars and putting in bots on
- 10:56Speaker 3: the Internet to try to turn Americans against AI. They
- 11:00Speaker 3: understand that it's not only become a massive part of
- 11:02Speaker 3: our economy, but they understand we're ahead of them when
- 11:05Speaker 3: it comes to semiconductors and computer chips and AI in general.
- 11:09Speaker 3: And they're trying to catch up. So how do they
- 11:11Speaker 3: do it? By turning America against AI and AI development
- 11:16Speaker 3: and data centers. Well, now we're starting to learn the
- 11:19Speaker 3: financial aspects of just how big AI is for the
- 11:23Speaker 3: United States of America. and to understand how enormous this
- 11:28Speaker 3: new sector is, artificial intelligence. It is now being declared
- 11:33Speaker 3: by universities as a revolution that has become America's number
- 11:38Speaker 3: one driver of new innovation. How much are we talking?
- 11:43Speaker 4: $ 10. 3 trillion. That is how much investment researchers now project
- 11:51Speaker 4: that is going to be poured into America's AI infrastructure
- 11:54Speaker 4: between 2025 and 2032. And according to new research being
- 12:00Speaker 4: presented at the Brookings Institute, This could become one of
- 12:03Speaker 4: the largest investment booms in America's entire history.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Not just bigger than the internet boom. Researchers say relative
- 12:12Speaker 3: to the size of the American economy. The AI build-out
- 12:16Speaker 3: could actually be bigger than the investment booms that built
- 12:19Speaker 3: America's railroads, electrified the entire country, constructed the interstate highway system,
- 12:25Speaker 3: and built our modern telecommunications networks. Yes, AI. Just think
- 12:31Speaker 3: about that. Now, we may be living through the construction
- 12:34Speaker 3: of the next great piece of American economic infrastructure, except
- 12:38Speaker 3: instead of railroad tracks and interstate highways, we're building data centers,
- 12:42Speaker 3: power plants, electrical infrastructure, advanced semiconductor capabilities, and enormous computing networks. Now,
- 12:51Speaker 3: the Brookings Institute also estimates that AI-related infrastructure investment could
- 12:56Speaker 3: average approximately 3.6% of the U.S. GDP every single year
- 13:03Speaker 3: between now and 2032. And that's not all of the
- 13:06Speaker 3: data that we're finding out about how much this could
- 13:09Speaker 3: help Americans financially. Not only are we talking about 3.6%
- 13:13Speaker 3: of the U.S. GDP every single year through now, we
- 13:17Speaker 3: think minimum 2032. But this is an extraordinary amount of
- 13:22Speaker 3: money that is flowing into one technological transformation. Now, this
- 13:27Speaker 3: isn't simply speculation about what AI might do someday. AI
- 13:31Speaker 3: investment is already showing up in America's economic numbers right now.
- 13:36Speaker 3: The U.S. Treasury Secretary recently estimated that throughout 2025, AI-driven
- 13:42Speaker 3: investment accounted for nearly 30% of U.S. GDP growth. Now
- 13:47Speaker 3: you understand why China wants to stop it at all costs.
- 13:51Speaker 3: And the Treasury also said the trend continued through the
- 13:54Speaker 3: first two quarters of 2026. Now, I got to say
- 13:59Speaker 3: the number again, nearly 30%. of US GDP growth came
- 14:04Speaker 3: from AI. In other words, roughly three out of every
- 14:07Speaker 3: $ 10 of economic growth last year and the first two
- 14:11Speaker 3: quarters of this year can be associated with investment in
- 14:15Speaker 3: things like software, computers, hardware, data center infrastructure, all of
- 14:20Speaker 3: it tied to this AI revolution. And another recent economic
- 14:25Speaker 3: analysis also estimated that in the first quarter of 2026 alone,
- 14:30Speaker 3: AI-related investment added roughly 0.73 percentage point of economic growth.
- 14:37Speaker 3: That is unbelievable. It's becoming, in essence, a pillar of
- 14:42Speaker 3: the American economy. Now, if you just look at the
- 14:45Speaker 3: data centers, America now has roughly 1,500 major data center
- 14:49Speaker 3: facilities in the data set studies by the Brookings researchers.
- 14:54Speaker 3: When a large data center enters a community, Brookings researchers
- 14:58Speaker 3: found employment in the local data processing industry rises approximately 58%
- 15:05Speaker 3: over the first decade, while telecommunications employment rises approximately 43%.
- 15:11Speaker 3: And then let's get to construction. Well, that number is
- 15:14Speaker 3: also staggering. Data center construction spending in America has already
- 15:18Speaker 3: crossed an annualized pace of roughly $ 50 billion. Now, here's
- 15:23Speaker 3: what makes this even bigger. The fiscal infrastructure is only
- 15:27Speaker 3: the beginning. AI is increasingly being deployed inside law firms, hospitals, banks, factories,
- 15:36Speaker 3: logistics companies, energy companies, software businesses, and virtually every other
- 15:41Speaker 3: major industry. And economists are confronting an interesting problem. We
- 15:46Speaker 3: may actually be undercutting AI's economic impact with all of
- 15:50Speaker 3: those different categories. Now, the Brookings researchers argue that traditional
- 15:55Speaker 3: GDP statistics weren't designed for technologies like AI and this
- 16:00Speaker 3: type of boom. A company might build its own AI model,
- 16:04Speaker 3: develop proprietary data sets, create internal AI systems, or use
- 16:08Speaker 3: AI to save thousands of employee hours. And much of
- 16:11Speaker 3: that increased productivity and that capacity, well, it may not
- 16:15Speaker 3: immediately appear as traditional investment in the economic statistics. Then
- 16:20Speaker 3: there's productivity. This is the biggest economic story of all.
- 16:24Speaker 3: If AI allows an employee to accomplish in four hours
- 16:27Speaker 3: what previously required eight, America hasn't simply invented another product.
- 16:33Speaker 3: We've literally expanded the productive capacity of the American worker.
- 16:38Speaker 3: And even relatively small increases in productivity compounded across a
- 16:43Speaker 3: nearly $ 30 trillion U.S. economy is Well, that translates into
- 16:48Speaker 3: enormous increases in national wealth. By the way, those numbers, well,
- 16:53Speaker 3: they back up that story. We just saw the medium
- 16:56Speaker 3: income in this country hit the highest ever on record.
- 17:00Speaker 3: And if you want to know why, look to AI.
- 17:03Speaker 3: And that is exactly why the President of the United
- 17:05Speaker 3: States of America has been advocating for AI. Now you
- 17:08Speaker 3: understand why China is doing everything it can to stop
- 17:11Speaker 3: AI in America. And it also brings up the bigger questions.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Why are Democrats so hell-bent on stopping something that's such
- 17:18Speaker 3: a big part of our economy? Could it be because
- 17:21Speaker 3: they actually want to crash the American economy so that
- 17:23Speaker 3: they can then blame Donald Trump and Republicans for a
- 17:27Speaker 3: poor economy while shutting down AI, which means they get
- 17:30Speaker 3: more political power moving forward? Well, that's something you should
- 17:34Speaker 3: definitely think about.
