- 1:02Speaker 1: people in the morning.
- 1:02Speaker 4: The.
- 1:04Speaker 1: That's it. That's it. Okay. Okay. I did it. Yeah. Okay.

- 1:07Speaker 3: That one.
- 1:08Speaker 1: One more time. Okay. I need you to stand up
- 1:10Speaker 1: and get hype. We're going to wake you up. Producer
- 1:12Speaker 1: Blake said he's tired because he couldn't sleep last night.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Who are we?
- 1:14Speaker 1: The Alabama show. What do we do? Wake up the
- 1:17Speaker 1: people in the morning. Okay. We're going to have a
- 1:20Speaker 1: good show. You're awake now. Did I wake you up? No.
- 1:23Speaker 1: That just made it more complicated. Good morning. Thank you
- 1:27Speaker 1: for being here. If you're new to the show, it's
- 1:30Speaker 1: going to be like this all day. So thanks for staying.
- 1:32Speaker 1: We appreciate you. It's what the hell headlines. What the
- 1:36Speaker 1: hell are you talking about?
- 1:38Speaker 2: On the Alabama show.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Two men got arrested for riding a couch down the road.
- 1:44Speaker 1: What the hell? How did they ride said couch on
- 1:47Speaker 1: the road? Two men in Charlotte, North Carolina, were stopped
- 1:51Speaker 1: by police after riding a makeshift couch car down the street.
- 1:55Speaker 1: What they did is they strapped a couch down to
- 1:59Speaker 1: two scooters and were driving it down the road like
- 2:01Speaker 1: a car. How do you even map? How do you
- 2:04Speaker 1: steer that if it's on two scooters? I don't know. No,
- 2:06Speaker 1: the scooters had the... They had the scooters up in
- 2:09Speaker 1: front of them. The steering, whatever, the sticks. They didn't
- 2:13Speaker 1: get arrested, but they got tickets.
- 2:15Speaker 2: What the hell? Super Easy Trivia with The Alabama Show.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Today, Producer Blake, you're playing Super Easy Trivia. Let's do it.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I'm ready. It's going to be good today. Okay, let's
- 2:27Speaker 1: try it out. I'm just pre-warning you. Question number one. Okay.
- 2:30Speaker 4: What.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Part of a plant usually grows underground and absorbs water
- 2:35Speaker 1: from the dirt. That would be the root. That would
- 2:38Speaker 1: be the root. Yes, yes. Come on. What organ in
- 2:43Speaker 1: your chest pumps blood throughout the rest of your body?
- 2:47Speaker 1: The heart. That would be your heart. Some of us
- 2:50Speaker 1: don't have one. Not in this studio.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Next.
- 2:54Speaker 1: We all have a heart here. Last one for the win.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Producer Blake, what reptile changes the color of its skin
- 3:00Speaker 1: to blend in with its surrounding? Oh, the chameleon. Good job. Congratulations.
- 3:16Speaker 1: You just passed first grade trivia.
- 3:18Speaker 3: That's what I love to do.
- 3:20Speaker 2: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama Show.
- 3:24Speaker 1: If you're looking for a job, there's a Birmingham Airport
- 3:26Speaker 1: job fair at the Birmingham International Airport going on tomorrow
- 3:32Speaker 1: for semi-skilled laborers, equipment operators, electricians, airport ramp agents, ramp operations, supervisors,
- 3:39Speaker 1: auto detailers, rental car drivers, sales management. There's a lot.
- 3:44Speaker 1: So if you want to go, that's tomorrow at the
- 3:45Speaker 1: airport in the event room from 9 a.m. until noon.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Taylor Swift crashed Dakota Johnson's opening monologue on Saturday Night
- 3:55Speaker 1: Live this weekend, which was so funny because Dakota was
- 3:58Speaker 1: making jokes about dating musicians. If you didn't know, she
- 4:00Speaker 1: famously dated Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, and
- 4:03Speaker 1: now she's rumored to be dating Machine Gun Kelly. Taylor
- 4:06Speaker 1: Swift popped in and made a joke about not being
- 4:09Speaker 1: Dakota's therapist. If you missed it, Taylor and Dakota, our
- 4:14Speaker 1: friends in Dakota Johnson, was also in Taylor Swift's new
- 4:16Speaker 1: music video that just dropped a week ago for her
- 4:18Speaker 1: song Patient Zero. So it was really good. If you
- 4:21Speaker 1: haven't seen it, it's everywhere. Go to thealabamashow.com. Disney just
- 4:25Speaker 1: made a deal with Netflix, and now you're going to
- 4:27Speaker 1: be able to see some things from Disney's library on Netflix.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I know you're going to be happy about this because
- 4:32Speaker 1: I'm paying for your Netflix subscription, and I know you
- 4:34Speaker 1: ain't got Disney. I will take as much as I can.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So we don't know when this is going to happen,
- 4:39Speaker 1: but some of the TV series included are Percy Jackson
- 4:42Speaker 1: and the Olympians. Ooh, I like that. Will Trent and
- 4:46Speaker 1: Shifting Gears, and the movies, some of the movies, it's
- 4:48Speaker 1: not going to be all of them, but some of
- 4:49Speaker 1: them that we know for sure, Ice Age. Soul, and
- 4:52Speaker 1: Raya and the Last Dragon. Okay, I like a few
- 4:55Speaker 1: of those options.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I'm in.
- 4:56Speaker 3: I know.
- 4:57Speaker 1: I'm excited. I like Disney, and I can't afford the
- 4:59Speaker 1: Disney subscription. So that's the things you need to know.
- 5:02Speaker 1: More at thealabamashow.com.
- 5:05Speaker 2: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Good morning, Lori. What's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 5:12Speaker 3: I gave a frozen dinner to an uninvited guest at
- 5:15Speaker 3: a dinner party.
- 5:17Speaker 1: That's why we do Ask Alabama. If you ever have
- 5:19Speaker 1: an issue, call the show, 833-501-BAMA is the number to
- 5:23Speaker 1: call in. What happened?
- 5:25Speaker 3: So a few times a year, I throw a really
- 5:28Speaker 3: nice dinner party for my oldest friends.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:31Speaker 3: And I invited five people over. Two of them were
- 5:35Speaker 3: couples and one is single.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Okay. What'd you cook?
- 5:39Speaker 3: I cooked filet mignon and lobster tail. Oh, awesome.
- 5:44Speaker 1: And I had like two sides. Okay.
- 5:46Speaker 3: We've all known each other for like over 20 years,
- 5:49Speaker 3: so we try to get together every few months. And
- 5:52Speaker 3: I spent over $ 200 on this meal, and I didn't
- 5:56Speaker 3: buy extra because it was so.
- 5:58Speaker 1: expensive oh yeah filet mignon and lobster.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Yeah exactly and um so as like a surprise to
- 6:07Speaker 3: me the single friend brought his new girlfriend without letting me.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Know so what happened what'd you do Well, so.
- 6:14Speaker 3: I told him that I couldn't just cut up filet
- 6:18Speaker 3: mignon and lobster for an extra person.
- 6:21Speaker 1: That's not how the portions work. Yeah.
- 6:24Speaker 3: But I told him I had a frozen pizza or
- 6:27Speaker 3: another frozen.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Dinner I could heat up for her.
- 6:29Speaker 3: And he got super upset, accused me of not liking
- 6:32Speaker 3: his girlfriend and stormed out. And after that, it was
- 6:36Speaker 3: super awkward. And I'm not really sure what to do
- 6:40Speaker 3: here anymore. Am I wrong for not splitting up the food?
- 6:45Speaker 1: Producer Blake, what would you do? I mean, it's not
- 6:48Speaker 1: they deserve the frozen food. There was no heads up.
- 6:52Speaker 1: How am I supposed to know what to prep if
- 6:55Speaker 1: they don't tell me that somebody else is coming? I
- 6:56Speaker 1: think that the other people at the dinner party, if
- 6:58Speaker 1: you've known this guy for a while, I think all
- 7:01Speaker 1: the other friends would be okay with sharing their portion.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I mean, yes, he's wrong for bringing her and not
- 7:05Speaker 1: saying anything. But also, I don't know if I could, like,
- 7:08Speaker 1: be serving filet mignon and lobster to people and then
- 7:11Speaker 1: be like, here's a frozen pizza for you. Here's a
- 7:15Speaker 1: hot pocket. Well, you should have prepped. I told you.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Tell them. Call the show. What would you have done
- 7:21Speaker 1: if you were Lori and you had a fancy dinner
- 7:24Speaker 1: party and somebody brought a guest after you had made
- 7:27Speaker 1: filet mignon and lobster and you didn't have enough? 833-501-BAMA
- 7:30Speaker 1: is the number. That's 833-501-2262.
- 7:36Speaker 2: You're listening to the Alabama show on demand.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Lori cooked filet mignon and lobster for a group of
- 7:42Speaker 1: friends and her single friend brought a girlfriend and didn't
- 7:44Speaker 1: tell her and she didn't have enough food. So she
- 7:46Speaker 1: tried to give her a frozen pizza. He got offended,
- 7:49Speaker 1: stormed out. Oh, call the show. 833-501-BAMA is the number.
- 7:54Speaker 1: If you were this person, if you were throwing the
- 7:56Speaker 1: dinner party, what would you do? Good morning. Who's this?
- 8:00Speaker 1: hey this is chris okay what are you doing if
- 8:02Speaker 1: you're throwing a fancy dinner dinner party and somebody brings
- 8:05Speaker 1: an uninvited guest you cooking them a frozen pizza or
- 8:08Speaker 1: are you gonna split the food between all the people.
- 8:10Speaker 4: Look you gotta split the food yes food and hospitality
- 8:14Speaker 4: is social currency it's also conveyor status by giving everyone
- 8:18Speaker 4: else steak and her pizza you're degrading her in the
- 8:21Speaker 4: eyes of the group you can't do that it's a
- 8:23Speaker 4: bad first introduction Abso-freaking-lutely.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Also, you should always be prepared. Always be prepared. It
- 8:29Speaker 1: was $ 200. What are you talking about? What'd he do?
- 8:34Speaker 1: What'd he do? It's $ 200. We all know we're not
- 8:37Speaker 1: having a dinner party at Producer Blake's house.
- 8:40Speaker 4: Right. Well, can you imagine what the meaning for that
- 8:41Speaker 4: would be? Come on now.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Call the show, 833-501-BAMA. If this would happen to you,
- 8:47Speaker 1: what would you do? Chris, thank you for calling. Hey,
- 8:50Speaker 1: thanks for having me.
- 8:50Speaker 4: You know, have a good one.
- 8:52Speaker 2: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 8:55Speaker 1: 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show. Charlene, good morning.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Where are you calling from today? What are you doing?
- 9:01Speaker 1: I'm getting ready to go on a cruise on Sunday. Oh, girl, yes.
- 9:05Speaker 1: What's the theme of the cruise? Oh, I don't know.
- 9:08Speaker 1: My daughter and her boyfriend wanted to do a family cruise,
- 9:12Speaker 1: and so part of us is going, but he's got
- 9:14Speaker 1: a lot on his side, so we're going on Sunday. Well,
- 9:17Speaker 1: good for you. Okay, so if you threw a dinner party,
- 9:21Speaker 1: what would you do? I would give him the pizza
- 9:24Speaker 1: and give her the steak. That's actually the best idea
- 9:28Speaker 1: we've heard today. Well, I mean, he caused the problem,
- 9:34Speaker 1: so he gets the pizza. I like that, actually. That's
- 9:37Speaker 1: a good compromise. I agree with that one. I love that. Well,
- 9:40Speaker 1: you know, I don't come up with too good much,
- 9:43Speaker 1: but I try. Charlene, that is awesome. Well, enjoy your cruise,
- 9:47Speaker 1: and thanks for calling the show. All right. Love you guys.
- 9:51Speaker 2: It's three things you need to know. You with the
- 9:53Speaker 2: Alabama Show.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Alabama beat Mississippi State over the weekend, 56 to 23
- 9:58Speaker 1: roll tide. Auburn lost to Tennessee 14 to 24. Fast
- 10:03Speaker 1: and Furious, they have a TV series that's going to
- 10:05Speaker 1: come out in 2028. It's going to launch at Peacock,
- 10:10Speaker 1: which will be the same year that the franchise's final film,
- 10:13Speaker 1: Fast Forever, will be released on March 17th, 2028. I
- 10:16Speaker 1: don't even know how many Fast and Furious movies there are,
- 10:19Speaker 1: but that'll be the last one. Vin Diesel will be
- 10:22Speaker 1: the executive producer for the TV series, but we don't
- 10:25Speaker 1: know who the cast will be yet. And a radio
- 10:30Speaker 1: signal was detected. Yes. From a planet outside of our
- 10:36Speaker 1: solar system. Artie, yes, I love these. Astronomers said they
- 10:40Speaker 1: found the first ever signal of this type. They say
- 10:42Speaker 1: it comes from 63 light years away from Earth. The
- 10:45Speaker 1: planet is about 12 times the size of Jupiter, which
- 10:48Speaker 1: is pretty big, and is one of the three planets
- 10:50Speaker 1: orbiting a young star that is two times the size
- 10:53Speaker 1: of our sun. So we might have people like us
- 10:56Speaker 1: in another solar system. I'll be honest with you. I
- 10:59Speaker 1: kind of want that to be the case. I would
- 11:01Speaker 1: love to know there's other intelligent life. Imagine I want
- 11:04Speaker 1: you to think about this because you're a space nerd.
- 11:06Speaker 1: We talk on the radio. So our radio signal is
- 11:09Speaker 1: going out right now and it goes out across. There's
- 11:13Speaker 1: going to be somebody 63 light years away listening to
- 11:16Speaker 1: our show. Hearing our radio signal and going, nope. This
- 11:22Speaker 1: pumpkin you speak of. Don't go to Earth. Anyway, that's
- 11:27Speaker 1: three things you need to know. More at thealabamashow.com.
- 11:32Speaker 2: You're listening to The Alabama Show. The following program is
- 11:36Speaker 2: on demand.
- 11:37Speaker 1: 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show. If you
- 11:39Speaker 1: have good news, we would love to celebrate with you. Brittany,
- 11:42Speaker 1: good morning. Are you calling with good news? I am.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I am. So I went out on a limb. Okay.
- 11:48Speaker 1: And applied for a house for me and my daughter
- 11:51Speaker 1: and got the news yesterday that we got it.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Yes!
- 11:53Speaker 2: Wow!
- 11:56Speaker 1: More space? Thank you. Thank you. Yes. What were you
- 11:59Speaker 1: living in before? What are you living in now? So
- 12:01Speaker 1: I actually stayed with my mom because I've been helping her.
- 12:04Speaker 3: And then so I seen the house and I was like,
- 12:07Speaker 3: you know what?
- 12:07Speaker 2: I'm just going to take a chance and go for it.
- 12:09Speaker 1: And you did.
- 12:10Speaker 4: I did and I got it.
- 12:12Speaker 1: What's your favorite thing about the new house that you're
- 12:14Speaker 1: going to get? It's going to be me and my baby. Yes.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Is your daughter living with you at your mom's right
- 12:19Speaker 1: now too? Yes. Well, that's exciting. That is such good news.
- 12:22Speaker 1: I'm so excited for you. Thank you. I'm excited, too. Well,
- 12:25Speaker 1: thank you for calling and sharing, Brittany. Now when you
- 12:28Speaker 1: get moved in, you're going to have to send us
- 12:29Speaker 1: a picture of it all dressed up or fixed up.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I definitely will. Thank you.
- 12:34Speaker 2: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I have new information that I wish that I knew
- 12:40Speaker 1: before we went to the Butterbean Festival this weekend. Okay,
- 12:43Speaker 1: what do you got? By the way, thanks for listening
- 12:45Speaker 1: to The Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with producer Blake. We
- 12:47Speaker 1: went to the Butterbean Days in Pinson, my hometown where
- 12:50Speaker 1: I grew up. Yes, we did. And there is a
- 12:52Speaker 1: famous boxer named Butterbean who was there and he had
- 12:56Speaker 1: a booth and me and you like creeped by the booth.
- 12:59Speaker 1: But we were afraid to say, hey, because we didn't
- 13:01Speaker 1: want to pay for a picture because we didn't have
- 13:03Speaker 1: the money because we are radio DJs and we're poor.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Yes.
- 13:06Speaker 1: But I posted a video from Butterbean days on my TikTok. Yeah. Butterbean,
- 13:13Speaker 1: the boxer, has a little brother who goes by Pinto Bean.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I knew. Who is a fan of this show and
- 13:21Speaker 1: commented and goes, why didn't y'all come say hi? I
- 13:24Speaker 1: was working at my brother's booth. I'm Pinto Bean. I'm
- 13:27Speaker 1: Butterbean's little brother. And I saw, yeah, I saw a post. Oh,
- 13:31Speaker 1: my God. And apparently they both listen. And I didn't
- 13:35Speaker 1: know that or we would have went and said hi. So, Butterbean,
- 13:38Speaker 1: if you're listening to the show, we really wanted to
- 13:40Speaker 1: come get a picture with you and we were too
- 13:42Speaker 1: afraid because we were fangirling over you and we didn't
- 13:44Speaker 1: know what to do. This is the most Alabama thing
- 13:48Speaker 1: I've ever said in my entire life. It is the
- 13:51Speaker 1: weirdest situation we could have been in. It was so odd.
- 13:54Speaker 1: But we had a really great time at the Butterbean Festival.
- 13:56Speaker 1: We ate all the butter beans. There were a lot
- 13:58Speaker 1: of people that said hey to us that were there
- 14:00Speaker 1: that listened to the show. So if you saw us there,
- 14:02Speaker 1: thank you. We really appreciate you.
- 14:04Speaker 2: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I saw the coolest animal this weekend. What was it?
- 14:11Speaker 1: Thanks for listening to the Alabama show. I'm Alabama with
- 14:14Speaker 1: producer Blake. That's me. So you know how sometimes weird
- 14:18Speaker 1: breeds mix together to make something?
- 14:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:20Speaker 1: So I'm riding on back country roads and there's a
- 14:23Speaker 1: pasture and there's cows. And then I see these majestic
- 14:27Speaker 1: animals off in the distance and the person driving like
- 14:31Speaker 1: the back roads that was driving. I was like, hold on,
- 14:33Speaker 1: hold on, stop. I got to pet these. I went,
- 14:37Speaker 1: Is that a zebra mix? Was there a zebra in there?
- 14:41Speaker 1: It was. So I've heard of zebra donkey mixes before.
- 14:46Speaker 1: They call them Z donks. I call them zonkeys. They
- 14:50Speaker 1: were bigger than donkeys, and they looked kind of like horses,
- 14:53Speaker 1: and I'm going to show you a picture of it.
- 14:55Speaker 1: I posted pictures of it on my Facebook. I think
- 14:57Speaker 1: it was a zorse. A zorse? A zebra horse. Is
- 15:02Speaker 1: that mixed with a zebra? Yeah, look at its legs.
- 15:05Speaker 1: It's striped with zebra legs, and look at its mane.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Its mane is short, like a little mohawk, like a zebra.
- 15:11Speaker 1: But it has the body of a horse.
- 15:13Speaker 2: I know.
- 15:14Speaker 1: That is an interesting look for an animal. It's kind
- 15:16Speaker 1: of creepy looking. It looks like it could be on
- 15:18Speaker 1: Game of Thrones, because the horse is like a dark gray,
- 15:22Speaker 1: but then it's got striped legs like a zebra. And
- 15:25Speaker 1: the one stripe going down the back. That's pretty neat.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I've never seen one of those. They had... three of
- 15:30Speaker 1: them and they all came up to the fence one
- 15:33Speaker 1: had a mane like a horse and it came up
- 15:35Speaker 1: it walked right up and let me pet it i
- 15:37Speaker 1: was like can we come back here and can i
- 15:39Speaker 1: feed them apples please is that what that is for
- 15:42Speaker 1: sure is a what'd you call it a source it's
- 15:45Speaker 1: gotta be.
- 15:48Speaker 3: A hebra?
- 15:50Speaker 1: Yeah, a hebra. A hebra? A zorse. A zorse or
- 15:53Speaker 1: a hebra? A zonk, a zee donk. I don't know,
- 15:56Speaker 1: but call the show. What is the weirdest breed of animal?
- 15:59Speaker 1: Because I feel like you can mix different breeds of stuff,
- 16:02Speaker 1: and I had no idea this existed until this weekend.
