- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is jadget nine.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Welcome to another episode of Scottie and Abbey Unfiltered.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Today is going to be even.
- 0:08Speaker 2: More fun because welcome to the studio, Alexia, Come on,
- 0:11Speaker 2: algar Are hello.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I am honored to be here today. Thank you for
- 0:15Speaker 1: having me the whole cruise here. I know it feels
- 0:18Speaker 1: like family, the father son and the sat Pete spirit. Yes,
- 0:23Speaker 1: I love that.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Well, I wanted to talk to Alexia.
- 0:26Speaker 2: I mean, there's a lot of things I want to
- 0:27Speaker 2: hit on today, but one of the things we talked
- 0:28Speaker 2: about in our last podcast was I heard you on
- 0:31Speaker 2: the air because I love listening to you.
- 0:33Speaker 3: You're on ten am to three pm on Magic ninety.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Four, s out mid Days.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Come on now, you're Midday bestie. And you were talking
- 0:40Speaker 2: about prom and you started talking about how you went
- 0:43Speaker 2: down to school in Miami, and you got on this
- 0:46Speaker 2: thought of well, I never had a prom, and I
- 0:50Speaker 2: wanted to know why because you talked about how you got.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Was it kicked out of school?
- 0:57Speaker 4: Asked to leave technically dismissed, I asked to never return,
- 1:01Speaker 4: lightly removed. Yes, I'm taking off my rain boots for
- 1:06Speaker 4: this one, because yeah, that's all back.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Also, rain boots don't ever drive with them. I almost
- 1:12Speaker 4: rear ended everybody driving with my rain boots here today.
- 1:15Speaker 4: But yes, I mean the lore, the high school lore
- 1:18Speaker 4: is real, Scottie. I mean where do I begin?
- 1:20Speaker 3: Where did you go to school?
- 1:21Speaker 2: So?
- 1:21Speaker 4: I went to school in Miami, born and raised in Miami, Florida,
- 1:25Speaker 4: And so a little bit of context. My parents. My
- 1:28Speaker 4: mom married my dad, they got divorced shortly after. She
- 1:30Speaker 4: met my stepdad, who worked in radio. So her and
- 1:33Speaker 4: my stepdad both worked in radio my whole life. And
- 1:36Speaker 4: my mom was kind of like the mel She was
- 1:38Speaker 4: the national sales manager. My dad was in finance, he
- 1:41Speaker 4: was a CFO. So I grew up kind of like
- 1:43Speaker 4: in that world, seeing it from a young age, being
- 1:46Speaker 4: in the DJ booths and wanting to be on air
- 1:49Speaker 4: and starting to do jingles at a young age, and
- 1:51Speaker 4: I always wanted to be part of that. So long
- 1:54Speaker 4: story short, I ended up getting into like on air
- 1:57Speaker 4: acting and voice work and things like that from a
- 2:00Speaker 4: very young age when I was.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Like twelve, born to be a superstar.
- 2:03Speaker 4: So I just being in that world and seeing it
- 2:06Speaker 4: every day, it was like, Wow, this is what I'm
- 2:08Speaker 4: drawn to And then they Spanish Broadcasting System is the
- 2:11Speaker 4: network that my parents worked for, and they launched a
- 2:13Speaker 4: TV station as well, so radio and TV being in
- 2:17Speaker 4: that started doing acting soap opera's commercials. By the time
- 2:21Speaker 4: that I was like fourteen, so I was in high school,
- 2:23Speaker 4: I was starting high school and my parents put me
- 2:27Speaker 4: in this very small prep school, a very small private
- 2:29Speaker 4: preparatory school in Miami.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I don't know if I should name it.
- 2:32Speaker 5: Shout it out?
- 2:33Speaker 3: No, Actually, I don't know. Did anything legal happen back?
- 2:37Speaker 1: No, I don't know. Trinity shout out Palmer Trinity.
- 2:40Speaker 5: Oh my god, it's literally the Trinity episode.
- 2:42Speaker 1: It's the Trinity.
- 2:43Speaker 4: That's kind of creepy. Okay, well I said it. I
- 2:46Speaker 4: feel like I just let off a wait.
- 2:48Speaker 5: Yeah, you're free now, Palmer Trinity, Paul Mertridity.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Yes, if you know, you know when.
- 2:56Speaker 5: You say that, what does that mean?
- 2:57Speaker 4: So Palmer is the graduating class is maybe like two
- 3:01Speaker 4: hundred students tops. It's a lot of well off, wealthy
- 3:06Speaker 4: kids in Miami rich school, a lot of international students.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Like they'll bring students from Europe and Australia to play
- 3:13Speaker 4: soccer and sports. Like there's no football, but there's soccer
- 3:16Speaker 4: and lacrosse while there was at the time, I don't
- 3:18Speaker 4: know now, but the parking lot was full of BMW's porsches.
- 3:21Speaker 4: It was very high and ritzy and a lot of
- 3:25Speaker 4: international students, which was really cool to be exposed to
- 3:27Speaker 4: so many cultures and people from around the world at
- 3:30Speaker 4: a young age, but a lot of douchebags.
- 3:32Speaker 1: There's a lot of douchey Miami people.
- 3:36Speaker 4: But I was always kind of a black sheep in
- 3:39Speaker 4: that sense because I was in the talent world and
- 3:41Speaker 4: doing acting and radio and things like that. So I
- 3:44Speaker 4: would come to class like covered in blood. I was
- 3:47Speaker 4: doing a soap opera where I was a vampire, and
- 3:49Speaker 4: I would come to freshman algebra or whatever I was
- 3:53Speaker 4: learning at the time, like covered in blood with costume
- 3:55Speaker 4: and fake nails because we'd be filming overnight and people
- 3:58Speaker 4: would look at me and be like, who's this chick?
- 4:00Speaker 1: Who does she think she is? I got a lot
- 4:02Speaker 1: of hate.
- 4:03Speaker 2: So, yeah, because you're creative and artsy.
- 4:06Speaker 4: I mean, you know, or people are like a center
- 4:09Speaker 4: of attention, you know, especially at that age.
- 4:11Speaker 1: The bullying was crazy.
- 4:13Speaker 4: Like I endured a lot of that because I was,
- 4:15Speaker 4: you know, always a little bit out of the box,
- 4:17Speaker 4: and I always was myself. So long story short, long
- 4:20Speaker 4: story short. I keep saying that even though the story's.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Long as head. That's what the podcast is for longtory.
- 4:27Speaker 4: But during that high school time, I also had a boyfriend,
- 4:30Speaker 4: my first love.
- 4:31Speaker 1: He was a great, great kid. Shout out to that love,
- 4:35Speaker 1: my first and that out Palmer, I'm not shot shouting
- 4:39Speaker 1: out his nape. But during that time, I when I
- 4:41Speaker 1: was on.
- 4:42Speaker 4: The soap opera, I had a song produced on the
- 4:44Speaker 4: soundtrack of the soap opera that I sang called God
- 4:47Speaker 4: which means letters of love, and it was written about
- 4:49Speaker 4: this guy.
- 4:50Speaker 5: Oh I love that one.
- 4:51Speaker 4: So that song we'll put it on a on on
- 4:54Speaker 4: the podcast at some point it's on. I'm not going
- 4:56Speaker 4: to I still get royalties if you download same one. Wow, Okay,
- 5:02Speaker 4: but yeah, So it was just like a very intense
- 5:04Speaker 4: time of my life, like freshman sophomore year, I was
- 5:07Speaker 4: in this like passionate first love relationship while putting out
- 5:11Speaker 4: a song and being in soap operas acting and singing.
- 5:14Speaker 4: And I had also come from a lot of childhood
- 5:17Speaker 4: healing that I had to do with the fact that
- 5:19Speaker 4: my biological father wasn't in my life. So I had
- 5:22Speaker 4: a great relationship with my stepdad, but I hadn't spoken
- 5:25Speaker 4: to my biological dad. We stopped talking when I was
- 5:27Speaker 4: like thirteen. So coming into high school is a time
- 5:31Speaker 4: when the rebellions starts, when these like childhood traumas start
- 5:34Speaker 4: to fester. Yeah, so couple that with being on air
- 5:38Speaker 4: acting at a young age and kind of being like
- 5:40Speaker 4: the black sheep of a high school.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I was a wild child.
- 5:44Speaker 4: I did my thing and no one could stop me,
- 5:46Speaker 4: like quite literally, nobody, my parents, the law, the faculty.
- 5:51Speaker 2: I have to say too much, But like when you
- 5:53Speaker 2: say doing your thing, because I remember as a angsty
- 5:56Speaker 2: fourteen year old, I got myself into like just a
- 5:59Speaker 2: lot of bs.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Yes, I was willing to do and go anywhere.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Correct, What were some of the things that like that
- 6:05Speaker 2: fourteen year old Alexia would get up into in Miami?
- 6:09Speaker 2: And again you could say it's very much as you want,
- 6:11Speaker 2: but was it like going out on the Miami scene?
- 6:14Speaker 4: Well, yeah, I mean I looked a lot older when
- 6:16Speaker 4: I was fourteen, and I had a fake ID because
- 6:19Speaker 4: in the school that I was at, people were going
- 6:22Speaker 4: to night clubs, the parents were buying tables and bottles
- 6:24Speaker 4: for their fourteen and fifteen years kids in South Beach,
- 6:27Speaker 4: Like we would go hit live at the Fountain Blue On,
- 6:31Speaker 4: like Carlos's parents tab at fourteen.
- 6:33Speaker 3: At fourteen, I've never even been.
- 6:35Speaker 4: I'm nearly thirteen, so that kind of thing. Like I
- 6:38Speaker 4: would use my window in my bedroom as a front door.
- 6:41Speaker 4: My mom knows this, and just like hop out that
- 6:43Speaker 4: biach and call a cab and go to South Beach
- 6:45Speaker 4: and hit up my promoter and be at the club.
- 6:47Speaker 5: And I was fourteen. That's crazy, yes, girl. The only
- 6:51Speaker 5: club I was at at fourteen was the youth group.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Living this like high risk kind of a lifestyle at
- 6:58Speaker 4: a very young age, having a lot of access, having
- 7:01Speaker 4: connections to this city of Miami that never sleeps, and
- 7:06Speaker 4: playing when people were sleeping, especially my parents. Like I
- 7:08Speaker 4: have memories of going out the window selling my mom, oh,
- 7:11Speaker 4: we're going to bed, my girls sleeping over, and we
- 7:14Speaker 4: would pretend to walk the dog so that we could
- 7:17Speaker 4: open the window and the alarm would go beep deep
- 7:19Speaker 4: and she'd think we're like opening the door to walk
- 7:21Speaker 4: the dog. So we had this whole elaborate plan so
- 7:23Speaker 4: that we could open the window and sneak out call
- 7:25Speaker 4: the cab. And I was at the club, like dancing
- 7:27Speaker 4: on a table with little John and look at my
- 7:29Speaker 4: phone and it's like mom calling on my sidekick.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:34Speaker 4: And the way I would look at it was like
- 7:37Speaker 4: I'm already out, what's she gonna do? And I would
- 7:38Speaker 4: stay out and then come back home at seven am
- 7:41Speaker 4: and then go to geometry.
- 7:44Speaker 5: Did she ever say, hey, maybe don't go to the
- 7:46Speaker 5: club on a Tuesday?
- 7:48Speaker 1: She tried?
- 7:48Speaker 4: I mean there was there was no discipline was lacking
- 7:52Speaker 4: for sure. And I also, again with like all of
- 7:54Speaker 4: the childhood daddy issues, was kind of like I don't care.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Yeah, daddy's saying no to me. Who's gonna say no?
- 8:00Speaker 4: So I kind of lived that life for a bit.
- 8:03Speaker 4: And then that bled into high school and were.
- 8:07Speaker 3: There other high schoolers doing this?
- 8:08Speaker 2: Because you said there are other kids at that age,
- 8:10Speaker 2: Like there were tables, so it was like it wasn't
- 8:12Speaker 2: just you, it's other fifteen.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Year old hit in the club.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Well, yeah, I was introduced to that world by these people,
- 8:18Speaker 4: and these like rich kids who had all of this
- 8:20Speaker 4: access and parents who like in Europe, it's the life
- 8:23Speaker 4: is so different, like we were.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Talking about going out. Having a drink at dinner is
- 8:26Speaker 1: very common.
- 8:27Speaker 4: So it was like if you watched for the Housewives
- 8:30Speaker 4: of Miami actually went to school with some of their kids,
- 8:32Speaker 4: and it was very much like Mom, yeah, we're gonna
- 8:34Speaker 4: put the table on dad's card. Okay, okay, like only
- 8:38Speaker 4: two bottles tonight and like literally underage.
- 8:41Speaker 2: That is so different though, yeah, if you go, I
- 8:43Speaker 2: mean you talk about your travels all over the world too.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I'm sure you've seen this, Like it's so different when
- 8:47Speaker 2: you go just right across the pond, you go across
- 8:49Speaker 2: the Atlantic and you go in like Italy or Spain.
- 8:52Speaker 2: That I first went to Spain, I was like, y'all,
- 8:54Speaker 2: you're having dinner at eleven. When I first flew into
- 8:56Speaker 2: Spain for the very first time, we got there like
- 8:58Speaker 2: three am and the.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Streets were mobbed. I expected it to be a ghost town.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Nope, everyone was out and about having a ball at
- 9:05Speaker 2: three am.
- 9:06Speaker 1: It's Miami. I mean, it's an international city.
- 9:08Speaker 4: There's a lot of it draws a lot of Europeans
- 9:10Speaker 4: South Americans.
- 9:11Speaker 1: So that's the life and the culture.
- 9:13Speaker 2: That makes a lot more sense now that it's like, okay,
- 9:15Speaker 2: of course, these teenagers are like this because that's literally
- 9:17Speaker 2: the part of the culture that they're from and they.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Know of yep.
- 9:20Speaker 4: And before social media, I mean, it was harder to
- 9:22Speaker 4: keep track of people.
- 9:24Speaker 1: It was easier to get fake id's.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Slip a bouncer, like one hundred dollars under your shitty
- 9:29Speaker 4: fake ID and no one's gonna say anything to you.
- 9:31Speaker 2: So you didn't get into well again, you disclosed as
- 9:34Speaker 2: much as you want. Did you get in any legal
- 9:36Speaker 2: problems of those shapes?
- 9:38Speaker 4: I have one story actually that my mom's fully aware of,
- 9:40Speaker 4: but I did get put cuffed and put in the
- 9:43Speaker 4: back of a cop car once with my best friend Veronica,
- 9:46Speaker 4: and we were put in handcuffs. I'm not going to
- 9:48Speaker 4: say why, but it was petty. We weren't arrested, we
- 9:51Speaker 4: were just put in the handcuffs and we were five
- 9:53Speaker 4: fat scars and if we were sat behind in the
- 9:55Speaker 4: backseat of the cop car and I'll never forget, Hey
- 9:58Speaker 4: there Delilah by the.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Plain white teas playing and we just looked at each
- 10:01Speaker 1: other like cuffed up and we're like, what are what?
- 10:04Speaker 3: What are we doing?
- 10:05Speaker 4: And then our parents we see our parents approaching and
- 10:08Speaker 4: the cop had all of the stuff that we had
- 10:10Speaker 4: in our purses laid out on the hood of their
- 10:12Speaker 4: Oh my.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Gosh, oh my goodness.
- 10:16Speaker 4: But we didn't get arrested. I mean, it wasn't that bad.
- 10:18Speaker 4: It was like hookah. We were like fifteen trying to
- 10:20Speaker 4: buy like tobacco or something like that.
- 10:22Speaker 1: So that kind of mischief.
- 10:27Speaker 2: So when you're doing all this, what like where your
- 10:29Speaker 2: grades suffering? Was it like impacting your schooling?
- 10:32Speaker 4: I mean not really, because academics have always been really
- 10:34Speaker 4: important to me, Like it's just always been part of
- 10:38Speaker 4: who I am, and I think just naturally inclined to that,
- 10:41Speaker 4: Like I was a really good student.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Before I went nuts.
- 10:45Speaker 3: But that's impressive.
- 10:46Speaker 4: The conduct is definitely what suffered, not the grades.
- 10:49Speaker 1: It was the like like the tardiness.
- 10:53Speaker 4: The uh not showing up. And then so we'll fast
- 10:56Speaker 4: forward to prom. I did go to a prom because
- 11:01Speaker 4: that first love of I almost said his name, I
- 11:03Speaker 4: don't want to say the first love and I broke
- 11:05Speaker 4: up and I was very spiteful and vengeful. So I
- 11:08Speaker 4: wanted to go to his prom, his senior prom, and
- 11:10Speaker 4: show up with a senior which I did. So I
- 11:12Speaker 4: went to that prom, but it was my sophomore year,
- 11:14Speaker 4: so it didn't count obviously, So I went to a promp.
- 11:17Speaker 3: At least you got to see it, tho. I think
- 11:18Speaker 3: I count.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:19Speaker 4: But then one day I did something naughty and I
- 11:21Speaker 4: was called into the dean's office and she sat me
- 11:24Speaker 4: down and goes, hey, you do a lot of naughty stuff.
- 11:28Speaker 4: And it was a lot of like uniforms. You had
- 11:30Speaker 4: to wear ties and blazers. It was like that kind
- 11:32Speaker 4: of school. I would wear tiny shorts, I'd wear like
- 11:35Speaker 4: crop tops. I had my nose pierced, so I went
- 11:37Speaker 4: to Spain and got my nose piers when I was fourteen,
- 11:39Speaker 4: So I would wear my nose ring defiantly, and just
- 11:41Speaker 4: those kinds of things.
- 11:43Speaker 1: And the dean just one day was like, listen, you're
- 11:46Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah. And I looked at her and said,
- 11:48Speaker 1: f off. I doubled down.
- 11:52Speaker 5: I mean, what is she gonna do about it?
- 11:53Speaker 1: I don't even know.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Who I was, Honestly, I looked at her and I said,
- 11:58Speaker 4: f off.
- 11:59Speaker 5: Can they even expel you at a private school? Like
- 12:01Speaker 5: you're paying to be there?
- 12:02Speaker 3: What are you gonna do?
- 12:02Speaker 5: Tell me to go home.
- 12:03Speaker 1: I was asked to leave and never return, So.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Where do you go after that? Because now you've obviously
- 12:11Speaker 2: I wow.
- 12:11Speaker 4: So imagine I'm like everyone in school already is like, oh,
- 12:14Speaker 4: this girl's like Hannah Montana, she has like a nighttime
- 12:17Speaker 4: acting career, and now she's kicked out. And it was
- 12:20Speaker 4: like it was drama for sure, And so I kind
- 12:24Speaker 4: of always moved in in my own path because it
- 12:28Speaker 4: was like navigating all of these instances and keeping that
- 12:32Speaker 4: black Sheep kind of a vibe. Going so high school
- 12:35Speaker 4: was tough for me because then I had to leave
- 12:37Speaker 4: that school and I went to an art school, nice
- 12:40Speaker 4: Academy of Arts and Minds that one I will name it.
- 12:43Speaker 4: I don't think it's in existence anymore, but it was
- 12:46Speaker 4: an art school in Miami where a lot of like
- 12:49Speaker 4: djens went, like kids kicked Oh.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I just thought it was gonna be like more of
- 12:53Speaker 2: a because we had an art school in Viro and
- 12:54Speaker 2: I was like, my best friends went over there, and
- 12:57Speaker 2: I'm like, guys, why are you there?
- 12:58Speaker 3: But did it have more of a vibe that you're
- 13:00Speaker 3: going for? Like still, I mean it.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Was like in the middle of the city. It definitely
- 13:05Speaker 1: was a little bit more lax. So I liked that.
- 13:08Speaker 4: I could go to a class and then like pop
- 13:10Speaker 4: on over to Coconut Grove, which is a mall in Miami.
- 13:13Speaker 4: So it was more of that vibe. But I also
- 13:15Speaker 4: like didn't care about school at that point. I was
- 13:17Speaker 4: more concerned about, like, well, prep school said f off,
- 13:21Speaker 4: So I'm gonna say f off society. And that's kind
- 13:23Speaker 4: of when my rebellion even peaked and I went even
- 13:26Speaker 4: harder hell yeah.
- 13:28Speaker 1: And started really just like, you know, f the world.
- 13:31Speaker 4: And it took a minute for me to do some
- 13:34Speaker 4: internal understanding and healing that like all of this rebellion
- 13:37Speaker 4: and like wild child behavior of like not given enough
- 13:40Speaker 4: and doing whatever I wanted was due to a lot
- 13:42Speaker 4: of unhealed trauma as a child that I'm still working
- 13:45Speaker 4: on to this day. But I've been able to recognize
- 13:48Speaker 4: that and grow from it and evolve as a human.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Whereas in high school I was in it. No yeah,
- 13:53Speaker 2: and you're a teen and I didn't even know the consequences.
- 13:55Speaker 2: You're like, I'm gonna be the biggest and the best
- 13:57Speaker 2: in the world, and if you don't like that, get
- 13:58Speaker 2: out of my fing way.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Correct. I'm Alexia, I'm here in Miami.
- 14:02Speaker 4: I'm fifteen, I'm gonna take over this dang city. But
- 14:06Speaker 4: Miami eats you up and spits you out. So by
- 14:09Speaker 4: the time I got to college, I said, I think
- 14:10Speaker 4: it's time. I'm going to leave this place. I need
- 14:12Speaker 4: to get out of here. I need a new start.
- 14:14Speaker 4: So I went to Florida State because I wanted that
- 14:15Speaker 4: small town college experience, because going to college in Miami
- 14:19Speaker 4: it's like you're just continuing the cycle. I did my
- 14:21Speaker 4: my two first semesters of college in Miami, and it
- 14:23Speaker 4: was again, We're just going to the club. We're just
- 14:26Speaker 4: you know, doing the same old, same, another club, another club, literally,
- 14:31Speaker 4: and you know what it's it's vapid, it's artificial, it's superficial.
- 14:34Speaker 4: The conversations are not substantial, the connections aren't substantial.
- 14:38Speaker 1: It's all what can you do for me? The transaction
- 14:40Speaker 1: of it all.
- 14:41Speaker 4: And I learned that, and I think that's why I'm
- 14:43Speaker 4: very one self protective and two evolved. And then went
- 14:47Speaker 4: to school, met my husband at Florida State, and then I,
- 14:50Speaker 4: during all that craziness, kind of stopped doing the on
- 14:53Speaker 4: air acting and all that and shifted into like marketing
- 14:56Speaker 4: and communications.
- 14:57Speaker 3: That's what you studied at Florida State.
- 14:58Speaker 4: Yes, so that's when I shifted into that and I
- 15:01Speaker 4: met my husband. Kind of had my zen healing era
- 15:05Speaker 4: in college and then went to grad school for marketing
- 15:08Speaker 4: and communications, but then always realized, like, you know, my
- 15:10Speaker 4: passion is being on air and then hosting and storytelling
- 15:12Speaker 4: and connecting with audiences, and I can do that. So
- 15:15Speaker 4: it took a few little detours to finally come back
- 15:18Speaker 4: full circle and now feel like I'm the Alexia that
- 15:21Speaker 4: little Alexia really.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Wanted to be.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and you needed those experiences, as crazy as it sounds, Yeah,
- 15:27Speaker 2: those are the experiences that make you the whole human
- 15:30Speaker 2: that you are today. When you were at FSU, you
- 15:33Speaker 2: said that was your zenful moment. Was there a moment
- 15:36Speaker 2: because I could look back on my chapters of life
- 15:38Speaker 2: and I know that there are literally specific years where
- 15:40Speaker 2: I was like, that was the pitchfork. I could have
- 15:43Speaker 2: went left and became the degenerate that I was setting
- 15:45Speaker 2: myself up to be, or am I could look and say,
- 15:48Speaker 2: wait a second, if I start this now, I could
- 15:50Speaker 2: really set myself up for the future. What was that
- 15:53Speaker 2: moment for you that you're like, I gotta get my
- 15:54Speaker 2: shit together.
- 15:56Speaker 4: I think it was meeting my husband, a boyfriend at
- 15:59Speaker 4: the time in college because I was still so we
- 16:01Speaker 4: were long distance after college when we graduated, in grad
- 16:05Speaker 4: school and everything, and I was still I moved back
- 16:07Speaker 4: to Miami. It's after college for a bit and we
- 16:10Speaker 4: were long distance. So it was like coming back into
- 16:12Speaker 4: this world now as a twenty something year old who's
- 16:15Speaker 4: legally of age, and you know, I have some money,
- 16:18Speaker 4: I'm hotter because I'm older, whatever, so I had. I
- 16:21Speaker 4: went back to Miami in my twenties and was like
- 16:25Speaker 4: getting back into that cycle and meeting going out with
- 16:28Speaker 4: the same It's like the promoters in Miami, they all
- 16:30Speaker 4: stay the same age. All the girls just get younger
- 16:33Speaker 4: and younger. So I started falling back into that. And
- 16:36Speaker 4: I had this amazing man, Mike, who was in Tallahassee.
- 16:39Speaker 4: And I looked at the situation and said, do I
- 16:42Speaker 4: continue this artificial, you know, instant gratification kind of a
- 16:46Speaker 4: lifestyle or do I put down roots with someone who
- 16:49Speaker 4: potentially saved my life.
- 16:52Speaker 1: And I think that was the pitchfork for sure.
- 16:54Speaker 3: That's so powerful.
- 16:55Speaker 5: How did he save your life?
- 16:56Speaker 1: I love that.
- 16:57Speaker 4: I think you know, it was also not having like
- 17:00Speaker 4: stable father figure my whole life.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Meeting a man like Mike, Oh my god, I'm getting emotional.
- 17:06Speaker 4: Or one year universaries or three year anniversaries tomorrow when
- 17:08Speaker 4: you're a wedding anniversary.
- 17:10Speaker 1: We've been together thirteen years now, that's so good. But
- 17:13Speaker 1: he's just so good.
- 17:15Speaker 4: There's no like malicious intention, and he lets me sparkle
- 17:19Speaker 4: and shine and be the biggest me that I can be,
- 17:22Speaker 4: Whereas I always dealt with men who it was like
- 17:25Speaker 4: that Hispanic machismo in Miami, it was like what can
- 17:29Speaker 4: your looks give me? But I always had to kind
- 17:31Speaker 4: of train myself to be an object in order to
- 17:35Speaker 4: be value add in a society that valued.
- 17:38Speaker 3: That instead of being that glowing bright light that you
- 17:41Speaker 3: bring to this world.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Correct. And also, you know, Dad, girls got to have
- 17:45Speaker 1: a strong father figure and that.
- 17:46Speaker 4: You know, lents itself to trust issues and commitment issues
- 17:50Speaker 4: and things like that. And seeing that Mike was a
- 17:52Speaker 4: man who was fully showing up, authentically and wholeheartedly, that
- 17:55Speaker 4: he wasn't gonna lie to me, that he wasn't going
- 17:57Speaker 4: out for boys nights when we were apart, and then
- 18:00Speaker 4: meeting his family who have been married forty something years
- 18:03Speaker 4: and his parents and seeing how stable and strong they were.
- 18:06Speaker 1: That's that was the life I wanted for my kids.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Wow did you? Was there a moment? Because I think
- 18:12Speaker 3: a lot of people deal with this, especially when you
- 18:13Speaker 3: finally find let's say you find Mike, and it's like,
- 18:16Speaker 3: was your body trying to, like I guess at times
- 18:19Speaker 3: talk you out of it because it's like it's almost
- 18:20Speaker 3: too good to be true. You're like, I didn't. What
- 18:23Speaker 3: was that like for you?
- 18:24Speaker 4: I'm a self sabotager, Like I want to hurt you
- 18:27Speaker 4: before you hurt me. Ooh, I want to cut you
- 18:29Speaker 4: off before you can f me. And I think again
- 18:31Speaker 4: that goes back to dad. It's like all of that.
- 18:33Speaker 4: It's like that abandonment. It's like oh no, no, no, no one
- 18:36Speaker 4: can hurt me because I'm gonna fuck you over harder.
- 18:38Speaker 4: So that was with that first love in high school.
- 18:42Speaker 4: I hurt him and it ended the relationship in an
- 18:45Speaker 4: early way because I just again it was like too
- 18:47Speaker 4: good to be true.
- 18:48Speaker 1: I need to ruin this, and that happened several.
- 18:50Speaker 4: Times throughout my late teens early twenties and meeting Mike.
- 18:55Speaker 4: It was like, yeah, this is too good to be true,
- 18:56Speaker 4: but also like oh no. I struggled a lot with like,
- 19:00Speaker 4: I want to be the career baddie who has the
- 19:02Speaker 4: corner office in New York City. I want to be
- 19:04Speaker 4: Kim Katrol from Sex and the City Samantha Jones, and like,
- 19:07Speaker 4: no man can penetrate my heart because he's penetrating me.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Mm hm oh yeah, that does make sense.
- 19:13Speaker 4: So that time, it was like my early twenties when
- 19:16Speaker 4: that's kind of the life I always envisioned for myself
- 19:19Speaker 4: being a baddie, being independent and not really thinking of
- 19:22Speaker 4: a man being part of that equation. And then having Mike,
- 19:25Speaker 4: who is an amazing man who that's not the way
- 19:27Speaker 4: he is. He's not going to move to New York
- 19:29Speaker 4: City or Miami, but that's okay. So that made me
- 19:32Speaker 4: realize like, okay, either you pick this lifestyle or you
- 19:36Speaker 4: pick someone that you can grow with and settle and
- 19:38Speaker 4: establish roots with.
- 19:39Speaker 1: So the body was telling me like.
- 19:41Speaker 4: Go out to the city, be single, get back to
- 19:43Speaker 4: the club, get on the tables, whereas my heart was like, no,
- 19:45Speaker 4: you idiot, Like you have an amazing man, what are
- 19:48Speaker 4: you doing?
- 19:48Speaker 3: Yeah, don't miss out on that beautiful moment.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Ah, And that's so amazing to be able to look
- 19:53Speaker 2: back and you realize like you made the right decision,
- 19:55Speaker 2: Oh my.
- 19:55Speaker 4: God, one hundred percent with my whole heart, and it
- 19:57Speaker 4: led us to Saint Pete. It led us to here,
- 19:59Speaker 4: to this community, to the incredible job that I get
- 20:01Speaker 4: to come to every day.
- 20:02Speaker 1: So no regrets ever.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Gosh, that is so wild.
- 20:07Speaker 2: So it's like sure, I'm like, you look back at
- 20:09Speaker 2: these certain moments in your life and it's like it's
- 20:11Speaker 2: so pivotal, like one certain decision could have led to
- 20:14Speaker 2: an entirely different life. Maybe you never hear now you've
- 20:17Speaker 2: taken You've literally lived out I feel like the dream
- 20:20Speaker 2: that that younger Alexia wanted of, like I want to
- 20:23Speaker 2: be the baddie, I want to take over the city.
- 20:25Speaker 2: But now you've done it in like a more complete,
- 20:27Speaker 2: whole way, which is so cool.
- 20:29Speaker 1: I've never even thought of that you have, Like I
- 20:31Speaker 1: think that's.
- 20:32Speaker 3: What we all see from you.
- 20:33Speaker 2: It's like you came to Saint Pete and you're not
- 20:35Speaker 2: the one that's like pushing people aside to get to
- 20:38Speaker 2: the top. You're literally bringing people together to bring everyone
- 20:41Speaker 2: to an elevated space.
- 20:43Speaker 5: You needed that, the Queen of Saint Pete.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Come on, well, you know what it means so much,
- 20:48Speaker 4: And I think that's why I started Saint Pete Al's
- 20:50Speaker 4: because I was such a loner in high school and
- 20:52Speaker 4: I had like two or three really strong female friendships
- 20:55Speaker 4: that are my friends to this day, my maid of
- 20:57Speaker 4: honors at Comos. But it was always that two really
- 21:01Speaker 4: strong close friendships and then kind of by myself. So
- 21:05Speaker 4: now that I get to relish in this incredible community
- 21:07Speaker 4: and have so many friends and not just acquaintances, like
- 21:10Speaker 4: actual friends and relationships is all I ever wanted. And
- 21:13Speaker 4: I'm an only child too, so again loner, always a loner, stoner.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Drifting on my own.
- 21:19Speaker 4: So I feel so thankful to have community and to
- 21:21Speaker 4: have you two, this family so lucky.
- 21:25Speaker 3: I love that we love it. Gosh, heart's so full.
- 21:28Speaker 4: Well, I'm so glad I got to trauma dump on
- 21:30Speaker 4: everyone this morning.
- 21:31Speaker 1: This is great.
- 21:32Speaker 5: And to hear more about young Alexi and all the
- 21:34Speaker 5: crazy stuff you had in your bag.
- 21:36Speaker 1: We have stories.
- 21:36Speaker 4: There's a lot of isolated incidents that I could tap into,
- 21:39Speaker 4: but that was the overarching.
- 21:41Speaker 5: They're way in the past. The statute of limitations is over.
- 21:44Speaker 4: Yeah, correct, Well I have Yeah, there's a memoir that'll
- 21:47Speaker 4: come one day, we'll see. But there's a few things
- 21:49Speaker 4: that Mike can't know about.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Ah oh man, Okay, Well, speaking of Mike, you did
- 21:54Speaker 2: say you're celebrating your anniversary thirteen years together. What are
- 21:57Speaker 2: you all going to do for your anniversary? Because you know,
- 22:00Speaker 2: Mike's not somebody that's up in the spotlight. He's not
- 22:02Speaker 2: somebody that's doing what we do here. But he's such
- 22:04Speaker 2: a sweet, good hearted dude. What do you guys have
- 22:07Speaker 2: planned for the anniversary?
- 22:09Speaker 4: So Mike's an environmental scientist, just so everyone knows. So
- 22:12Speaker 4: his brain that is so small, functions very different.
- 22:15Speaker 3: What I don't know. I don't get other people's jobs.
- 22:18Speaker 4: I don't either, so science, but he flies the drone
- 22:22Speaker 4: for his science work, which is why we get the
- 22:24Speaker 4: drone footage over at the Galla group, which is great.
- 22:28Speaker 4: And he he loves cameras and sound and audio and
- 22:32Speaker 4: tex so he's really good at that component of it
- 22:33Speaker 4: and helps me a lot with like my video content
- 22:35Speaker 4: and things like that. So, and he's actually going viral
- 22:38Speaker 4: on TikTok right now.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Oh my god, that's right.
- 22:39Speaker 4: Yeah, he's like forty thousand. He hit forty k last night.
- 22:42Speaker 4: I was like take back my statement.
- 22:43Speaker 1: He is king right.
- 22:45Speaker 4: But yeah, So we got married three years ago at
- 22:47Speaker 4: the Vanoi here in downtown Saint Pete. We've been together
- 22:50Speaker 4: thirteen We met on Tinder at Florida State. Never saw
- 22:53Speaker 4: I would see him after that first night. He's success
- 22:56Speaker 4: story intends might be blowing up too much, but he
- 22:58Speaker 4: used to sell at the time.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Oh would we first?
- 23:04Speaker 3: That's right now?
- 23:06Speaker 1: So I was like, oh my god, look at this guy.
- 23:07Speaker 1: He's just like a dealer. He's hot, he has.
- 23:10Speaker 2: A beard, that's smart and strategic. He's like I could
- 23:12Speaker 2: get her because I'm kind of a battie, but like
- 23:14Speaker 2: real real is like.
- 23:15Speaker 5: He's a businessman, he's an entrepreneur.
- 23:19Speaker 1: But yeah, so we quickly quickly fell in love.
- 23:22Speaker 4: And he still had to deal with Miami Alexia times
- 23:24Speaker 4: where he would pick me up from the Tallahassee Airport
- 23:26Speaker 4: flying from Miami, and I would smell of cigarettes and
- 23:29Speaker 4: nightclub like I would come straight from the club and
- 23:31Speaker 4: get on the plane and go to tellhassee you.
- 23:34Speaker 1: So he he stuck stuck through.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Wow, that is love, though, because that's like literally what
- 23:40Speaker 2: you want in somebody. They want to see you at
- 23:42Speaker 2: your best, at your mid maybe at your lowest, and
- 23:45Speaker 2: they're always down to just be there with you.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Yes, correct, And I'm so grateful for that.
- 23:50Speaker 4: So we're hitting up Elliott Astor at the Vanoi tomorrow
- 23:53Speaker 4: or today, I don't know when this is airing.
- 23:54Speaker 1: April eighth is our anniversary.
- 23:56Speaker 5: I've heard really good things about elliet.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Aster likewise, and we have an eat in there. You
- 23:59Speaker 1: have a little no, I know, I'm so pupped.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Is there like what is?
- 24:03Speaker 2: Because they don't they have different years for different gifts,
- 24:06Speaker 2: Like first year is like buy me something lingerie.
- 24:09Speaker 1: That's what my mom was saying.
- 24:10Speaker 4: The third year, I think it's like Christal Crystal, I
- 24:14Speaker 4: want to say it.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I mean he did so weird.
- 24:18Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 24:19Speaker 1: No, he's not an uppers kind of guy.
- 24:22Speaker 3: He's more like to chill.
- 24:24Speaker 4: Yeah, So we're just gonna in his birthday Sunday, So
- 24:26Speaker 4: we're gonna take it easy because he just is very
- 24:28Speaker 4: chill and likes to be around Saint Pete. We might
- 24:31Speaker 4: hit up the Raise game to catch them beat the Yankees.
- 24:34Speaker 3: That's right down on Saturday.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Actually, I do have a grievance with you, then, Alexia,
- 24:38Speaker 2: since you bring up the rais what's that. I'm so
- 24:41Speaker 2: jealous that you got to throw a first pitch at
- 24:43Speaker 2: a Raise game.
- 24:44Speaker 5: He's been talking about it all morning. He's like, how
- 24:46Speaker 5: do I get to do the first pitch at a
- 24:48Speaker 5: Raise game?
- 24:49Speaker 2: Well, let me stand on my high horse really quick. Okay,
- 24:51Speaker 2: because I have been in this area. It was cool
- 24:53Speaker 2: for a long ass time. But I had no, no, no, no,
- 24:55Speaker 2: I'm not talking about Alexi. This is not pointed it
- 24:57Speaker 2: at all.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I know I won't take it.
- 24:58Speaker 2: I haven't seen other people in this area throw out
- 25:01Speaker 2: a first pitch before me.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Not going to name any names.
- 25:03Speaker 5: I agree, Well, what I'm gonna try and get it
- 25:05Speaker 5: before Scotti? No way, wait Alexia?
- 25:10Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 25:12Speaker 2: And so I saw Alexi. I was like, that makes sense.
- 25:14Speaker 2: She's literally Queen of Saint Pete perfect. But then it
- 25:17Speaker 2: made me think. I was like, how the hell do
- 25:18Speaker 2: I make this happen? Because I'm so tired of seeing
- 25:20Speaker 2: other people who have not been here and are not
- 25:22Speaker 2: in love with Tampa Bay as I am throw out
- 25:25Speaker 2: that damn pitch.
- 25:26Speaker 1: There needs to be a day, a reason for the day.
- 25:30Speaker 4: Like, for instance, the reason they called me was because
- 25:31Speaker 4: it was seven two seven day damn, which is saying
- 25:34Speaker 4: Peter my day then right there.
- 25:36Speaker 1: And I've seen like, for instance.
- 25:37Speaker 4: Saw I saw they had another influencer recently who has
- 25:40Speaker 4: less followers than you, but they tied it to her heritage.
- 25:45Speaker 4: Just need to find you can get your pr gall
- 25:48Speaker 4: who and his white boy national cutie white boy dad.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Just everyone just go and go. Just that's fine.
- 25:54Speaker 4: What if?
- 25:55Speaker 5: Wait, that would be a really fun promotion for a
- 25:57Speaker 5: Tuesday night game. CUTI cuty white and it's just all
- 26:02Speaker 5: the normal white boys that go to the baseball game
- 26:04Speaker 5: show up. They're like, we heard this was the day
- 26:06Speaker 5: for us.
- 26:06Speaker 3: I wonder would it be wrong?
- 26:08Speaker 1: I could pull my jew card Newdy Magazine.
- 26:10Speaker 5: I mean, if you were ever gonna pull the car,
- 26:12Speaker 5: now is the time?
- 26:14Speaker 3: I mean jew? Yeah?
- 26:15Speaker 1: Oh wow, do you have some lineage?
- 26:17Speaker 3: Well I was bar mitzvah. I was like the whole thing.
- 26:19Speaker 3: What yeah? I stopped really going after that.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Did you know he was Jewish?
- 26:22Speaker 3: No, many people do.
- 26:23Speaker 4: I don't talk about with a lot of Jewish people
- 26:26Speaker 4: in I went to a lot of bars.
- 26:28Speaker 2: That's where my family grew up. It's down in Miami.
- 26:30Speaker 2: What very like Miami jew in my family of Miami Jew.
- 26:34Speaker 5: Well, that's it's the blonde here that throws me off.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Well, you know, I do have a different lineage too,
- 26:39Speaker 2: so it's like a lot of very split.
- 26:41Speaker 4: Definitely not Oskonowsky because that my best friend's husband is
- 26:46Speaker 4: and he's like.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Very dark in hairy.
- 26:47Speaker 4: Yeah, not me.
- 26:47Speaker 3: I do have family that's like that, Like they do
- 26:49Speaker 3: the full curls.
- 26:50Speaker 2: They're Orthodox jew Like that's all in my family. Was like,
- 26:53Speaker 2: you know what we're gonna be, you know, the black sheep.
- 26:55Speaker 2: We're gonna take a little step aside, very reformed. I'll
- 26:58Speaker 2: do my little bar mitzva thing, do the Torah. I
- 27:00Speaker 2: do love Jewish culture. I really love the events and
- 27:04Speaker 2: the food.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Like I don't know much about it. We did a
- 27:06Speaker 3: little bit of stuff, not that much stuff.
- 27:07Speaker 5: No. I just saw John Stewart talk about this where
- 27:09Speaker 5: he was talking about how his family is blended. I
- 27:11Speaker 5: think he's Jewish and his wife is Christian, and he's like,
- 27:14Speaker 5: in terms of Easter and Christmas, like the Jews are
- 27:16Speaker 5: really losing out here when it comes to the holidays.
- 27:18Speaker 5: He held up an Easter basket and he was like, look, kids,
- 27:20Speaker 5: we're celebrating Easter. And then he had a plate that
- 27:23Speaker 5: was all of traditional traditional Yiddish foods. I guess Passover,
- 27:30Speaker 5: you're not really converting the kids very well. If it's
- 27:32Speaker 5: if it's a toss up, like if we're doing the
- 27:34Speaker 5: March Madness bracket, Easter is winning every time Jesus resurrects
- 27:39Speaker 5: from the dead and you and you get a peanut
- 27:42Speaker 5: butter eggs.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Yeah, that's kind of why we slep.
- 27:44Speaker 1: An Orthodox rabbi with the curls doesn't quite hit like
- 27:46Speaker 1: the Easter bunny, but.
- 27:47Speaker 5: Adam Brody and nobody wants this.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Now, Why is it that all.
- 27:52Speaker 5: The hot men are super religious like I somehow end
- 27:55Speaker 5: up on hot priest TikTok what where?
- 27:59Speaker 1: It's just like.
- 27:59Speaker 5: All these Italian men who are who are in the
- 28:02Speaker 5: priesthood and they're all just have they took a bottle
- 28:05Speaker 5: of celibacy. And the comments are hysterical because the women
- 28:07Speaker 5: are like, this is a crime to nature.
- 28:09Speaker 1: That's rage baiting for sure.
- 28:11Speaker 5: Sure. Lower Yeah, no, a priest needs to look like
- 28:16Speaker 5: the bottom of my of my shoe.
- 28:18Speaker 4: Well, speaking of priest, when the high school I went to,
- 28:21Speaker 4: we had a scandal because it was Episcopalian, so there
- 28:24Speaker 4: was like light Christianity, so we had priest There was
- 28:27Speaker 4: a scandal where one of the priests was in a
- 28:30Speaker 4: porn It was like the year before I started, and
- 28:35Speaker 4: somebody found him doing like wrestling, like nude wrestling.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Online and like years ago or not, no, not too
- 28:42Speaker 1: far from that time, and so he got let go.
- 28:46Speaker 1: He got alave too.
- 28:47Speaker 5: We were pinging for your sins. Okay, let him get
- 28:49Speaker 5: a little freaky.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Right, We evolve, We all grow and evolve.
- 28:53Speaker 3: That's exactly right.
- 28:54Speaker 2: You should be able to forgive, and honestly, I don't
- 28:56Speaker 2: think there should be anything wrong with getting a little freaky.
- 28:58Speaker 5: How many hell marys do you think that you do
- 29:00Speaker 5: for sixty nine?
- 29:05Speaker 3: Good lord?
- 29:05Speaker 2: Well, I'm so pumped to be able to one celebrate
- 29:08Speaker 2: with you as you continue taking over Alexia. And I
- 29:11Speaker 2: love being able to give you an outlet to share
- 29:13Speaker 2: these stories because there's a lot of things that we
- 29:15Speaker 2: can't talk about, especially a lot of that on the air.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I don't say sorry, mommy.
- 29:22Speaker 3: But to be able to share it here it was
- 29:24Speaker 3: really cool. Abby. Your high school experience was not.
- 29:27Speaker 5: Like that, No, it was completely opposite. I had like
- 29:29Speaker 5: a very normal high school experience. For the first couple
- 29:32Speaker 5: of years, I was not in the club. I was
- 29:35Speaker 5: in the pew.
- 29:36Speaker 2: So we didn't even have clubs like Vira. We just
- 29:37Speaker 2: literally got drunk at the gazebo.
- 29:39Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying is when we talk about euphoria
- 29:41Speaker 5: and stuff, the whole party in high school thing never
- 29:44Speaker 5: made sense to me because I'm like, where are you
- 29:45Speaker 5: guys going. I'm like, my parents are constantly home. I'm like,
- 29:48Speaker 5: are you going to the woods?
- 29:50Speaker 3: That seems we did. We would go in the woods.
- 29:52Speaker 2: We'd go in the woods, or we'd go somebody's parents
- 29:55Speaker 2: would be out and we'd get drunk in their house
- 29:57Speaker 2: and wild it up, or in an abandon neighborhood.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Just go sit by the lake. M HM.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Small town debauchery versus Miami.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no, it's as opposite as like there's no clubs.
- 30:08Speaker 2: The craziest club Jesus. I would go to skate Factory.
- 30:11Speaker 3: That was my club.
- 30:12Speaker 2: I guess where I got my first booty dance, my
- 30:14Speaker 2: first makeout lit.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Ours was skate Station.
- 30:18Speaker 5: You gub in Jacksonville, right, I grew up in Jacksonville,
- 30:20Speaker 5: So skate Station was in Mandarin and that's where that's
- 30:22Speaker 5: where you'd have like a birthday party. Where the people
- 30:24Speaker 5: would go. And then in high school it kind of
- 30:25Speaker 5: got lame because you know, you could drive other places.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Yeah, but we stood in driving other places. We drove
- 30:30Speaker 2: them every now and then go to the beach and
- 30:32Speaker 2: you know, just get a little drunk on the beach
- 30:34Speaker 2: and somehow pass out at somebody's house. Yeah, and that
- 30:37Speaker 2: was very different from Miami.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Yeah, we had that too.
- 30:40Speaker 4: We had our moments of just boys back seat of
- 30:45Speaker 4: boys cars and you know, doing the the woods and
- 30:48Speaker 4: getting drunk there.
- 30:49Speaker 2: But yeah, what a different experience. I like that, A
- 30:53Speaker 2: full trio of experiences.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Makes us whole and well balanced.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Yeah. Well that's all I got for you, Alexia.
- 30:59Speaker 4: I'm honored. Thank you so much. I love hanging out
- 31:01Speaker 4: with you guys. And I'm always telling my listeners to
- 31:03Speaker 4: tune into Unfiltered, So this is a fun one.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Thank you for having me.
- 31:07Speaker 2: This is the crew. I've been waiting a long time
- 31:08Speaker 2: to have a crew to be able to do this with.
- 31:10Speaker 1: We have three mics.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Finally, the studio is not wrapped.
- 31:14Speaker 1: For people who are like, what is the studio wrap?
- 31:15Speaker 5: We were supposed to have all of our artwork up
- 31:18Speaker 5: on the walls, so it looks like it's a branded
- 31:20Speaker 5: studio professional and it's literally just sitting on the floor.
- 31:24Speaker 5: The raps are just sitting on the floor and they
- 31:26Speaker 5: keep saying it. They're giving us specific times too.
- 31:29Speaker 1: The sick dates and time.
- 31:30Speaker 5: They're saying when's because last last week it was April
- 31:33Speaker 5: Fools and we thought we were getting pranked. They were like,
- 31:35Speaker 5: on April first, at nine forty five, we're coming in.
- 31:37Speaker 1: To wrap the studio.
- 31:38Speaker 5: Yeah, where the hell is this rap?
- 31:41Speaker 3: It's on the floor.
- 31:41Speaker 1: It's on the floor, it's on us.
- 31:43Speaker 3: I have to put it up.
- 31:44Speaker 5: I just don't understand why they won't just put it up.
- 31:46Speaker 1: It's here, put it up, put it, put it.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Uh, it's gonna be a year. And they literally said
- 31:52Speaker 2: it when Abby was coming into the station. They're like,
- 31:54Speaker 2: we're gonna have the studio wrap. It's look so nice.
- 31:57Speaker 5: That's why I'm just gonna start buying shit. They're gonna
- 31:59Speaker 5: be like, that's.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Right doing Yeah, random chotchkey's in the office. I just
- 32:02Speaker 1: like the mouse pad.
- 32:04Speaker 5: The corp corporate it's gonna be like, wait, since when
- 32:06Speaker 5: did we get cameras. I'll be like a me mofo,
- 32:08Speaker 5: Yeah my credit card did it's my tax right off, guys,
- 32:12Speaker 5: my endorsement money.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Well, I told you, when there's something you want done, well,
- 32:15Speaker 2: either you do it or you gotta wait for it.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Well it takes a while.
- 32:18Speaker 4: Maybe we'll take bas and see if one of you
- 32:20Speaker 4: does the opening pitch before the rap gets done.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Actually, that is the wager right now.
- 32:25Speaker 5: That's the Now that we've said it live, it's gonna
- 32:27Speaker 5: be wrapped tomorrow. I guarantee every every time we put
- 32:30Speaker 5: it into the universe we complained about something, it immediately
- 32:33Speaker 5: gets fixed.
- 32:34Speaker 3: That's true. That was the MIC's the new flags on
- 32:36Speaker 3: the mics because I did.
- 32:37Speaker 5: The same thing with the the the wind screen, so
- 32:40Speaker 5: you don't know, you don't have to hear my breath
- 32:42Speaker 5: when yeah, when I know, I'm not into the mic everymore.
- 32:46Speaker 5: So I literally went on Amazon and that day I
- 32:49Speaker 5: ordered a mic flag for a mic, a wind screen
- 32:51Speaker 5: for me, and then literally two hours later they come
- 32:53Speaker 5: in they're like, oh, the mic mike wind screens came in.
- 32:56Speaker 5: I'm like, you're fucking kidding me.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Twenty dollars on this thing, so now you just have
- 32:59Speaker 1: a win.
- 33:00Speaker 5: No, I need to, but.
- 33:01Speaker 3: It's a lot of work and it's not taking it
- 33:04Speaker 3: like whole foods.
- 33:05Speaker 5: It's so much work.
- 33:06Speaker 4: You should do a de iy like bejazzle your windscreens.
- 33:10Speaker 5: I'm gonna be jazzle by windsor jazzle.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
