- 1:27Speaker 1: and becoming the best version of yourself without worrying about
- 1:31Speaker 1: somebody else and following somebody's path and purpose and journey.
- 1:35Speaker 1: You're following your own path, purpose and journey to where
- 1:39Speaker 1: it is that you're meant to be. Now, I hope
- 1:42Speaker 1: you guys are doing well. Me doing good. I am
- 1:46Speaker 1: just adding some podcasts to some of the podcasts that
- 1:51Speaker 1: I didn't get a chance to do last week that
- 1:52Speaker 1: I did on YouTube because I wasn't really feeling well,
- 1:55Speaker 1: so I wanted to just go ahead and do them
- 1:57Speaker 1: on YouTube so I could just attach them. So that's
- 2:00Speaker 1: pretty much what I'm doing now now. When it comes
- 2:05Speaker 1: to today's topic, I wasn't sure what today's topic was
- 2:08Speaker 1: gonna be, so I decided, you know what, I'm just
- 2:11Speaker 1: gonna go ahead and just wing it. So today's topic
- 2:16Speaker 1: is just gonna be about staying in your own lane
- 2:20Speaker 1: and understanding that it's okay to be alone for a while,
- 2:26Speaker 1: and why it's okay to be alone for a while.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Being alone is not easy. It's a lot of work.
- 2:32Speaker 1: It requires a lot of time, a lot of effort.
- 2:35Speaker 1: It's one of the most scariest things being by yourself,
- 2:37Speaker 1: because number one, you're kind of afraid of what might
- 2:41Speaker 1: happen to you. Number Two, you don't have anybody to
- 2:45Speaker 1: talk to. Your phone doesn't ring, nobody's calling you, and
- 2:50Speaker 1: you're in four walls. Some people will get up, they'll
- 2:53Speaker 1: go for a drive, that may go for a walk,
- 2:55Speaker 1: they might just exercise, or if you're like me and
- 2:59Speaker 1: you're going through issues, you're resting pretty much for the
- 3:02Speaker 1: most part. I took some sour sop yesterday, right y'all.
- 3:07Speaker 1: When I tell you that sour salt had me all
- 3:10Speaker 1: the way messed up, because it hits the places that
- 3:14Speaker 1: have bacteria infections. It hits the places where you're gonna
- 3:20Speaker 1: be hurting the worst. And when I tell you, I
- 3:22Speaker 1: woke up feeling good, but then I forgot I had
- 3:25Speaker 1: to take another medication and from the hospital. Because I
- 3:28Speaker 1: was in the hospital Thursday. So that's what I'm doing now,
- 3:31Speaker 1: adding podcasts to different ones that I needed to add
- 3:36Speaker 1: it to. So that's what I'm doing right now. But
- 3:39Speaker 1: let me say this that sour salt is not something
- 3:43Speaker 1: that you need to take every single day. That is
- 3:46Speaker 1: something you take once a week. That is not something
- 3:49Speaker 1: you wanna take every day, cause that's sour salt. And
- 3:52Speaker 1: even when I looked up information about it, you can't
- 3:55Speaker 1: take it every single day. You can't because it will
- 3:59Speaker 1: make you up. So you gotta be very mindful of
- 4:03Speaker 1: how much of that not only did you drink, but
- 4:06Speaker 1: how much of it you consume. Now they do say
- 4:10Speaker 1: you can take it for like three months up three months,
- 4:14Speaker 1: But the way I felt when I take that took
- 4:16Speaker 1: that's our sop te man. No, that's all once a
- 4:20Speaker 1: week thing that I would do once a week. That
- 4:22Speaker 1: is not something I would do every single solitary day. Cause,
- 4:25Speaker 1: when I tell you, it tore up my stomach. I
- 4:28Speaker 1: could literally feel it working throughout my whole entire body.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I could literally feel it breaking. But then when I
- 4:35Speaker 1: woke up, I felt good. But then I had to
- 4:37Speaker 1: take this other medication that I got from the hospital,
- 4:40Speaker 1: and so I took that and it makes me feel
- 4:45Speaker 1: a little bit kind of woozing, a little tired. But
- 4:48Speaker 1: let's a you know, something for an infection, so I
- 4:51Speaker 1: had to take it. But what I will say is,
- 4:55Speaker 1: just like when it comes to taking something or consuming
- 4:59Speaker 1: something or acknowledging something, you gotta understand what come with that.
- 5:04Speaker 1: So I was thought about I put this on two podcasts,
- 5:06Speaker 1: but I might see if I can download it and
- 5:10Speaker 1: then add it on to You Are What you consume,
- 5:12Speaker 1: because I think these two gonna go together this episode.
- 5:15Speaker 1: What you consume and what you what you acknowledge is
- 5:18Speaker 1: no different than you minding your own business. When you
- 5:22Speaker 1: find out what works for you, what is it that
- 5:24Speaker 1: you want to do, what's gonna make you happy, what's
- 5:27Speaker 1: gonna bring you joy? That's something you gotta sit down
- 5:31Speaker 1: and think about. Sometimes everybody else's path is not your path.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Sometimes what everybody else wants you to do is it
- 5:39Speaker 1: something you should be doing. So the answer should be no.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Sometimes the direction that you're going now everybody can go
- 5:44Speaker 1: with you. When you make money, now everybody gets to
- 5:48Speaker 1: enjoy your money out of it and work. So I've
- 5:52Speaker 1: learned a lot in this journey. When it comes to that.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I just want people to understand that it's okay if
- 6:00Speaker 1: you wanna enjoy the fruits of your laby, it's okay
- 6:05Speaker 1: if you want to see what you can do on
- 6:08Speaker 1: your own and then figure out where everybody else fits
- 6:12Speaker 1: in at You want people in your life that aren't
- 6:17Speaker 1: gonna be there that's gonna support you, but you also
- 6:20Speaker 1: want people that's gonna be honest with you, that's not
- 6:24Speaker 1: gonna tell you what you want to hear. The question
- 6:27Speaker 1: is are you man or woman enough to hear? It
- 6:29Speaker 1: is the question that's like somebody that has medical issues
- 6:33Speaker 1: like myself, you know it's not an easy journey, but
- 6:39Speaker 1: it's gonna be something I'm gonna have to work on. Like,
- 6:43Speaker 1: for example, today I feel I have this ongoing headache
- 6:49Speaker 1: and it hurts, and I might go to bed a
- 6:51Speaker 1: little early than what I anticipated because I had such
- 6:55Speaker 1: a headache. But I did wake up this morning feeling
- 6:58Speaker 1: good until I took the other medical that I took.
- 7:02Speaker 1: That medication makes me feel absolutely horrible, and I don't
- 7:07Speaker 1: think I'm gonna take it again. I am learning with
- 7:10Speaker 1: a lot of medications. I just can't take them because
- 7:12Speaker 1: I don't like the way they make me feel. I
- 7:14Speaker 1: don't like the way they make my body feel. So
- 7:17Speaker 1: that's a prime example of doing what's best for you.
- 7:21Speaker 1: If I can find herbal things that work better, I'll
- 7:24Speaker 1: try herbal cause some herbal things, yeah they're gonna affect you,
- 7:29Speaker 1: but in the end, they'll do what they're supposed to do.
- 7:33Speaker 1: With medications, I might as well add this to a halfier.
- 7:36Speaker 1: You needs to help theer youth two. But with medications,
- 7:41Speaker 1: the side effects are worse than the medication. So where
- 7:46Speaker 1: am I going with this? I don't know, So just
- 7:48Speaker 1: work with beer. This is off the rep. This is
- 7:51Speaker 1: one of them type of podcasts. I did not know
- 7:54Speaker 1: exactly how I was gonna go with it, but I'm
- 7:56Speaker 1: gonna do my best. The same when it goes about
- 8:01Speaker 1: what you eat, what you drink, what you decide to
- 8:06Speaker 1: do every day, is the same way you should be
- 8:09Speaker 1: when it come to people who do you choose to consume.
- 8:12Speaker 1: When it come to people who do you choose to
- 8:15Speaker 1: deal with when it comes to bringing them into your world,
- 8:18Speaker 1: should be the same way. Like what I said about
- 8:21Speaker 1: the medication, you gotta be very careful on medications cause
- 8:25Speaker 1: you don't know how they're going to impact and affect you.
- 8:30Speaker 1: You don't you don't know how they're gonna make you feel.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Some medications, they'll do their job. They'll do what they're
- 8:36Speaker 1: supposed to. Now, mind, you only have to take this
- 8:39Speaker 1: medication for four days, and I took one and then
- 8:43Speaker 1: I just started feeling bad. So I did some research
- 8:47Speaker 1: on the medication and there are some side effects, but
- 8:52Speaker 1: they're in less it's extreme. Then I wouldn't recommend taking them.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I was supposed to go to the doctor, but I'm
- 8:59Speaker 1: not gonna be to get there because it's an hour away.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Number one, I thought it was like thirty minutes away. No,
- 9:07Speaker 1: it's an hour away. And it been like fifty four
- 9:09Speaker 1: dollars to go back and forth. Absolutely nothing my paying
- 9:12Speaker 1: one hundred dollars to go back and forth. So I
- 9:14Speaker 1: had to cancel my appointment. So I'm gonna instead go
- 9:17Speaker 1: to my doctor's office and tomorrow make an appointment for
- 9:21Speaker 1: Friday to go to my doctor's appointment. After you know,
- 9:26Speaker 1: I get done everything I need to do, just take
- 9:29Speaker 1: an uber and then go get checked. Because I hate
- 9:33Speaker 1: the way I feel right now. I just feel loopy.
- 9:37Speaker 1: But it's the same way when it comes to people.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Because you gotta be very careful who you consume when
- 9:43Speaker 1: it comes to people and what they're gonna bring into
- 9:46Speaker 1: your world. If you're at peace with the world that
- 9:49Speaker 1: you're in, then be mindful of who you bring into
- 9:52Speaker 1: your world, because some people are gonna mess you all
- 9:55Speaker 1: the way up, just like medications are gonna mess you
- 9:57Speaker 1: all the way up. You'll take something and you feel
- 10:00Speaker 1: like loopy and you feel bad, and you were like, Jesus,
- 10:03Speaker 1: why do I feel so bad? Now? Mind you? Like
- 10:07Speaker 1: I said, when I woke up this morning, I took
- 10:09Speaker 1: that saucesalp. I felt a whole lot better when I
- 10:12Speaker 1: woke up, But it kicked my behind when I was
- 10:15Speaker 1: in bed where I woke up in a drench of
- 10:19Speaker 1: god for saken sweat. But it did what it was
- 10:21Speaker 1: supposed to do. Cause when I tell you, it did
- 10:24Speaker 1: everything it was supposed to do. It did no questions
- 10:29Speaker 1: about it. But that's the type of tea I would
- 10:31Speaker 1: drink once a week. That's not a dream. That's not
- 10:34Speaker 1: a tea I could drink every day, cause it would
- 10:37Speaker 1: probably kick my behind and you're only supposed to have
- 10:40Speaker 1: it a moderation anywhay, So once a week would be
- 10:43Speaker 1: your best bet resounce with sour salt. Don't think that
- 10:46Speaker 1: you can take that every day. You can you gonna
- 10:49Speaker 1: take that once a week, because there's no way in
- 10:51Speaker 1: the world you gonna be able to take that sour
- 10:53Speaker 1: salt every single day. And that might be the reason why,
- 10:56Speaker 1: because like I said, i I I did go to
- 10:59Speaker 1: bed early, but I ended up not being able to
- 11:02Speaker 1: sleep often on which probably why I'm tired, because I
- 11:06Speaker 1: ended up staying up because of the fact of how
- 11:11Speaker 1: the sour south one making me feel. And I was like,
- 11:14Speaker 1: oh my lord, am I even gonna make it up
- 11:17Speaker 1: in the morning. I was like, oh my god, please
- 11:20Speaker 1: tell me I'm gonna get through this. So you know,
- 11:23Speaker 1: recovering is about finding answers, and once you start finding answers,
- 11:28Speaker 1: then the healing process becomes a little bit easier. Once
- 11:31Speaker 1: you start figuring out what works for you when it
- 11:34Speaker 1: comes to recovery, and like I said yesterday, when it
- 11:37Speaker 1: comes to your health and wellness, that when it comes
- 11:41Speaker 1: to losing weight, for example, you gotta find what works
- 11:44Speaker 1: for you. Your blood type is gonna say everything that you
- 11:47Speaker 1: need to say. But at the same time, if I
- 11:49Speaker 1: get a good sleep night's sleep, well, I feel better probably,
- 11:53Speaker 1: so I think, once up later on and just get
- 11:55Speaker 1: some rest, I'll probably be okay, because, like I said,
- 11:59Speaker 1: the medication and is getting rid of bacteria. So you never,
- 12:03Speaker 1: like I said, sometimes you'll take a medic medication and
- 12:08Speaker 1: you'll feel horrible, but the reason you feel horrible is
- 12:11Speaker 1: because it's getting rid of all of the things that's
- 12:15Speaker 1: making you sick. But when it's over with, you gonna
- 12:19Speaker 1: feel so much better because you shut the medications and
- 12:24Speaker 1: they made you feel better. But I said, you know
- 12:26Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do instead, I said, i'm'a take one,
- 12:30Speaker 1: take one tomorrow, but I'm not gonna take it in
- 12:32Speaker 1: the morning. I'm gonna take it at night. That way,
- 12:34Speaker 1: I just be able to go to sleep with soursop.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I have to take it like around two three o'clock
- 12:42Speaker 1: in the afternoon. But at the end of the day,
- 12:46Speaker 1: you know, you just gotta be mindful of what is
- 12:49Speaker 1: best for you. Cause matter of fact, I got the
- 12:51Speaker 1: medication right here, the actual medications, and I I can't
- 12:58Speaker 1: pronounce it the same my life, but one of them
- 13:00Speaker 1: I had to throw away cause it gave me a
- 13:01Speaker 1: really bad reaction. And then I still got a steroid
- 13:04Speaker 1: that I gotta take, but depending on how I feel,
- 13:08Speaker 1: I may not need a steroid. But this one right here,
- 13:11Speaker 1: there's medication that I'm taking. It's for a you know
- 13:19Speaker 1: what it before. It's used to prevent bacteria infections. So
- 13:28Speaker 1: it says if you have a luxury reaction to their medication,
- 13:31Speaker 1: you don't take it. So if you have like liver issues,
- 13:36Speaker 1: heart issues like Magni B lower magnesium and potassium levels,
- 13:46Speaker 1: it may not be good for you to take it.
- 13:48Speaker 1: But some of the side effects to it, I'm trying
- 13:54Speaker 1: to think hives, itching, swollen, blistering, peeling skin, if your face,
- 14:00Speaker 1: your mouth, or throat, chest pains, pressure, changing heartbeats, UH fever, diarrhea.
- 14:10Speaker 1: So it's kind of an antibiotic. So it helps with
- 14:16Speaker 1: with UH bacteria infection. But that's because, like I said,
- 14:20Speaker 1: I had a my throat, I have a thyroid issue.
- 14:23Speaker 1: So but like I said, you know, I'm just gonna
- 14:26Speaker 1: take probably cut it in half. But I was good
- 14:31Speaker 1: until I took it, and I just started feeling bad.
- 14:33Speaker 1: But that's like I said, sometimes some medic sense gonna
- 14:37Speaker 1: make you feel bad in order to make you feel better.
- 14:40Speaker 1: So n sometimes I I prefer to use herbal medications,
- 14:44Speaker 1: then herbal supplements, then using medications to be honest, and
- 14:49Speaker 1: also you know with your blood pressure you got That's
- 14:53Speaker 1: why I say have MAGNI, I have magnesium, and then
- 14:56Speaker 1: I have vitamin K, so I'm gonna take those before
- 14:59Speaker 1: I go to bed. Well. But again, when you're minding
- 15:02Speaker 1: your own business, you are figuring out what works for you,
- 15:06Speaker 1: and that means in every part of your life, including
- 15:08Speaker 1: who you bring into it. So if you're someone that's
- 15:12Speaker 1: that's like, Okay, You're strolling on YouTube and let's say
- 15:16Speaker 1: I'm going on a cruise and I'm trying to figure
- 15:19Speaker 1: out what cruises alike. I might watch something with someone
- 15:23Speaker 1: else on a cruise, but I'm still going to make
- 15:28Speaker 1: sure that I'm paying attention because some of these things
- 15:32Speaker 1: may work, some of these things may not. Like one
- 15:35Speaker 1: young lady was talking about, make sure you bring a blanket,
- 15:37Speaker 1: make sure you bring a jacket and some pants because
- 15:40Speaker 1: you never know if it's gonna get cold. Because it
- 15:44Speaker 1: can be cold on the boat. I have problems over
- 15:47Speaker 1: so I making sure I have a jacket and make
- 15:49Speaker 1: sure I have something to wear that's gonna keep me
- 15:52Speaker 1: kind of warm. When I'm on the boat, because I
- 15:57Speaker 1: was trying to figure out what I was gonna wear
- 15:59Speaker 1: because where I'm at, I gotta figure out, you know,
- 16:03Speaker 1: what I'm gonna wear when I get off the boat,
- 16:06Speaker 1: and what I'm gonna weare during the time that I'm
- 16:09Speaker 1: you know, there, and then we're gonna be in We're
- 16:13Speaker 1: gonna be in for a Lauderdale for a couple more days,
- 16:16Speaker 1: so I gotta figure out what am I gonna wear
- 16:19Speaker 1: because we're gonna be also three a few days, so
- 16:23Speaker 1: I gonna make sure I have something to wear that's
- 16:26Speaker 1: gonna be kind of you know, kind of like for
- 16:30Speaker 1: the Bahamas or wherever we're going, because I have no idea,
- 16:33Speaker 1: but making sure I have stuff that's gonna basically fit
- 16:38Speaker 1: whatever it is that I'm trying to do. So it's
- 16:41Speaker 1: the same thing like that when you're when you go
- 16:43Speaker 1: in your closet and you figure out what you're gonna
- 16:45Speaker 1: wear for today, And the same thing is how you
- 16:48Speaker 1: gotta deal with people. How do you decide what you're
- 16:50Speaker 1: gonna put on? So when you have when you try
- 16:53Speaker 1: to figure out what you're gonna put on, or what
- 16:54Speaker 1: you're gonna eat, or what you're gonna do that day.
- 16:57Speaker 1: It's no different than when you deal with people. What
- 17:00Speaker 1: type of people do you wanna deal with? Do you
- 17:02Speaker 1: want somebody that got a bunch of problems. Do you
- 17:04Speaker 1: wanna hang around people that's broke and you always gotta
- 17:06Speaker 1: take care of them. Do you wanna deal with people
- 17:09Speaker 1: that's constantly doing something that's gonna impact and affect your life.
- 17:13Speaker 1: You gotta ask yourself some questions before you say, Okay,
- 17:15Speaker 1: I'm just gonna bring this person in my life because
- 17:17Speaker 1: they look good, because they got money. That's not a
- 17:19Speaker 1: reason to to do that at all. At the end
- 17:23Speaker 1: of the day, like I said, you know, the people
- 17:27Speaker 1: that's gonna be in your life gonna be in your
- 17:29Speaker 1: life no matter what. And even though y'all might fuss
- 17:31Speaker 1: and fight, it doesn't mean that y'all gonna stop being
- 17:34Speaker 1: around each other because of it. But at the same time,
- 17:38Speaker 1: like I said, you can't make somebody stay somewhere that
- 17:40Speaker 1: don't wanna be. And there's too many people tryna hold
- 17:43Speaker 1: on to somebody that was kept. It's just like another
- 17:46Speaker 1: another podcast I did about fifty to fifty and about
- 17:50Speaker 1: why women should not want a man to completely take
- 17:54Speaker 1: care of them. Now I'm not saying there's anything wrong
- 17:57Speaker 1: with that, But what I am saying is is the
- 18:01Speaker 1: issue with it is when it comes down to you
- 18:06Speaker 1: being taken care of. Let's say, for example, you had
- 18:10Speaker 1: a man to take care of you for twenty five years,
- 18:12Speaker 1: comes to you and tell y'all want a divorce. He
- 18:14Speaker 1: wants somebody younger. Now you're going through a divorce. He
- 18:19Speaker 1: doesn't want to give you any alimony, any child support, nothing.
- 18:23Speaker 1: He just wants to basically get out in the marriage.
- 18:25Speaker 1: How do you think she gonna feel about that? Now,
- 18:28Speaker 1: this woman has never worked a day in her life
- 18:31Speaker 1: and now she's gotta get up and go get a job.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Does that make it fair to her? No? What about
- 18:38Speaker 1: kids that lose both their parents and now they're in
- 18:40Speaker 1: foster care. What about people that the mother may pass
- 18:45Speaker 1: away and the father gets custody. What about that situation
- 18:49Speaker 1: or somebody losing both of their parents. At the end
- 18:52Speaker 1: of the day, do you need a support system? Everybody
- 18:54Speaker 1: needs a support system. But the question is are these
- 18:59Speaker 1: people really there for you or are they jealous of you?
- 19:05Speaker 1: That's the question. So when you're going through recovery, it's
- 19:09Speaker 1: the same process. It's the same process of looking at
- 19:14Speaker 1: your past situations, looking at the koder shitt of woods,
- 19:18Speaker 1: and why you didn't do it? Why did you go
- 19:20Speaker 1: against your standards and your morals, your values, your principles
- 19:23Speaker 1: and ethics. Why did you just go off your feelings
- 19:27Speaker 1: and just do whatever you did because you felt some
- 19:29Speaker 1: type of way, not understanding that people don't have to
- 19:32Speaker 1: care about your feelings. They don't. They got to care
- 19:35Speaker 1: about your wants and needs. They don't have to because
- 19:38Speaker 1: nobody's obligated to. But at the same time, do you
- 19:42Speaker 1: deserve some type of respect? Absolutely you do. So all
- 19:46Speaker 1: I'm saying to y'all is recovery is like this. I
- 19:52Speaker 1: went down this road. I followed this rabbit down the
- 19:55Speaker 1: rabbit home. I don't know why I followed the for
- 19:59Speaker 1: a rabbit down the rape. You follow the rabbit down
- 20:02Speaker 1: the rabbit hole because of the representation of the rabbit,
- 20:05Speaker 1: and because the rabbit told you what you want to hear,
- 20:08Speaker 1: or a peer pressure or manipulated a bambooze or led
- 20:11Speaker 1: you astray. But but it doesn't matter. The point is
- 20:14Speaker 1: you went down the rabbit hole. So you went down
- 20:17Speaker 1: the rabbit hole, and now you're down the rabbit hole,
- 20:22Speaker 1: and now it's like, okay, everything looks good. But then
- 20:26Speaker 1: as you get further down the rabbit hole, you end
- 20:30Speaker 1: up meeting the mad Hatter, and then the mad Hatter
- 20:33Speaker 1: makes you crazy. It makes you insane, and you up
- 20:36Speaker 1: here doing stupid things for somebody, and now you're committing
- 20:39Speaker 1: crimes and doing all this other stuff. And then after
- 20:42Speaker 1: all this happens, here comes the Queen of hearts, and
- 20:46Speaker 1: you're gonna have to deal with with consequences when she
- 20:48Speaker 1: offs your head. And now you realize, oh my god,
- 20:53Speaker 1: I am s I followed a stupid, dumb rabbit, and
- 20:56Speaker 1: now I'm dealing with consequence and repercussion because of the
- 20:59Speaker 1: mad Hatter. So now you gotta get out. Now you
- 21:04Speaker 1: got to get out. So now you have all these
- 21:07Speaker 1: cards coming towards you, getting ain't take you, and getting
- 21:11Speaker 1: ready to off your head. And now the Cheschi can't
- 21:16Speaker 1: comes and saves to day and gets you out. The
- 21:20Speaker 1: question is, are you gonna keep going down to God
- 21:22Speaker 1: for second rabbit home, following the same rub following these
- 21:26Speaker 1: different rabbits. Are you gonna stop following the rabbits and
- 21:30Speaker 1: go to the opposite direction, cause you already know where
- 21:32Speaker 1: they gonna lead you at Now, I'm not saying that
- 21:36Speaker 1: every person is gonna lead you to a negative situation,
- 21:39Speaker 1: cause that's not necessarily true. But when you base something
- 21:43Speaker 1: on what somebody look like versus who they are, that
- 21:47Speaker 1: is a problem. When you sit up here and you're
- 21:49Speaker 1: basing yourself on what other people think you should be,
- 21:53Speaker 1: that is a problem. When you sitting there basing your
- 21:57Speaker 1: whole entire existence on people that basically don't do for
- 22:01Speaker 1: you what you do for them, but you wanna be captain,
- 22:04Speaker 1: say a home, that's a problem. So all I'm all
- 22:08Speaker 1: I'm saying is when you're dealing with these situations, understand
- 22:13Speaker 1: there are consequences and repercussion of Carmen. Now, once you
- 22:18Speaker 1: get through the recovery phase, you got one or two choices.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Either you gonna gonna go back out there in that
- 22:23Speaker 1: world and go through the same chaos, or you gonna
- 22:27Speaker 1: be prepared for anything that comes except the things you
- 22:30Speaker 1: can't control, Like people on the road, you can't control them.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Like people trying to break into your house. You can't
- 22:37Speaker 1: control that because at the end of the day, there
- 22:41Speaker 1: are some people crazy. But when it comes to the
- 22:44Speaker 1: things you can control, you're gonna do your best to
- 22:47Speaker 1: control it. So if your life is peaceful and it's quiet,
- 22:51Speaker 1: and you like to keep it that way, then you
- 22:54Speaker 1: need to find somebody just like you that's in the
- 22:56Speaker 1: same same setting. So if you find somebody that is
- 23:01Speaker 1: just like you, that has been through hell and back,
- 23:05Speaker 1: has dealt with their issues as well, they want peace,
- 23:09Speaker 1: quiet and tranquility as well, then that's the person you
- 23:12Speaker 1: need to be with. It shouldn't even matter what they
- 23:14Speaker 1: look like. What matters is the fact that they just
- 23:17Speaker 1: like you when it comes to no nonsense. Somebody like
- 23:21Speaker 1: you that got dreams and goals and y'all work together
- 23:24Speaker 1: to build something that could be great. Y'all lending your
- 23:27Speaker 1: kids together, and y'all basically when you make it, both
- 23:32Speaker 1: of y'all get to enjoy the proofs of your labor.
- 23:35Speaker 1: The problem is a lot of people, that's not how
- 23:38Speaker 1: it turns out. You have people that help people build
- 23:42Speaker 1: and then they end up leaving them behind, and they
- 23:46Speaker 1: end up using them and end up doing them dirty.
- 23:49Speaker 1: So I'm here to tell you that happens all of
- 23:53Speaker 1: the time. It's sad, but this is pretty much what happens.
- 24:03Speaker 1: So the only thing you can do in all honesty
- 24:07Speaker 1: is just be the best version of yourself. But at
- 24:11Speaker 1: the end of the day, you can't make somebody do
- 24:14Speaker 1: anything they don't want to do. So the only thing
- 24:20Speaker 1: you can do is just continue to say, you know what,
- 24:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna continue being the best version of myself. I'm
- 24:26Speaker 1: gonna continue to do the things I feel is right
- 24:33Speaker 1: for me, and even though that may not be easy,
- 24:38Speaker 1: but it's gonna be worth it in the end when
- 24:42Speaker 1: you see everything unfold. So is it easy, No, it
- 24:50Speaker 1: absolutely is not. But when it's old, wit, it'll be
- 24:57Speaker 1: worth it knowing that you have done every thing you
- 25:00Speaker 1: can do to be the best version of yourself. So
- 25:07Speaker 1: even though you're trying to, you know, be a good
- 25:13Speaker 1: person and a golly person, doesn't mean that's gonna be easy,
- 25:17Speaker 1: because it's not gonna be easy at all. You gonna
- 25:21Speaker 1: always have people trying to make you go the opposite direction,
- 25:24Speaker 1: or trying to pull you into their their nonsense and
- 25:27Speaker 1: their craziness. But that ain't something that you necessarily really wonder.
- 25:34Speaker 1: So all I'm saying to you, before you do something,
- 25:38Speaker 1: make sure that it's really what you want to do.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Make sure it's really where you wanna be and you
- 25:47Speaker 1: know how you feel you want your life to be,
- 25:50Speaker 1: because if it's not, then it absolutely will not be.
- 25:56Speaker 1: So all I can tell to people is live your
- 25:59Speaker 1: life the way you feel your life deserves to be lived,
- 26:04Speaker 1: and be the best version that you can be based
- 26:08Speaker 1: on what you feel it is right for you. So
- 26:11Speaker 1: even though you may not agree with certain things, but
- 26:17Speaker 1: the point is you have to live your truth based
- 26:21Speaker 1: on what you feel works for you. It's not about
- 26:26Speaker 1: everybody else. It's about you. It's about you doing the
- 26:31Speaker 1: work and you doing what it's gonna take to be
- 26:35Speaker 1: the best version of yourself. So even though you may
- 26:39Speaker 1: say to yourself, Okay, I'm this good and godly person
- 26:43Speaker 1: and I'm this person that just wants to be happy
- 26:48Speaker 1: and I just wanna be in this you know, great
- 26:50Speaker 1: relationship and in this great space. Like I said, it's
- 26:57Speaker 1: not gonna it's not gonna be easy. It's not it's
- 27:02Speaker 1: gonna be hard. But when it come down to your happiness,
- 27:09Speaker 1: it be. It absolutely begins and ends with you. So
- 27:14Speaker 1: even though I may say to somebody, Okay, my dream
- 27:18Speaker 1: is to do certain things, but at the end of
- 27:22Speaker 1: the day, it's not gonna be an easy, easy journey
- 27:27Speaker 1: because it's not m so you just gotta do the
- 27:34Speaker 1: best you can to be the best version of yourself
- 27:39Speaker 1: because at the end of the day, you're worrying about
- 27:42Speaker 1: some that you can't do too much about. You can
- 27:47Speaker 1: only be what you wanna be, and even though other
- 27:51Speaker 1: people may not approve it, it's your life. It's your life
- 27:54Speaker 1: to do whatever you choose. But if you really care
- 27:57Speaker 1: about people and you're going through a journey, then understand
- 28:00Speaker 1: nobody else should have to go down with you when
- 28:03Speaker 1: you do something negative. If you do something positive, they're cool.
- 28:07Speaker 1: But doing something negative, why bring other people involved? It
- 28:11Speaker 1: has nothing to do with them in the first place.
- 28:13Speaker 1: That to me just screams unfair, and it doesn't scream
- 28:16Speaker 1: that it's right at the end of the day. So
- 28:21Speaker 1: you know, but at the end of the day, that's
- 28:24Speaker 1: the point of minding your own business because you're not
- 28:27Speaker 1: worried about everybody else. You worried about yourself. And in
- 28:29Speaker 1: the end, even though yeah, you love people, you care
- 28:32Speaker 1: about people, and you want people in your life, but
- 28:34Speaker 1: at the same time, you can let them go just
- 28:36Speaker 1: as quickly as you bring them to your life. Like
- 28:39Speaker 1: I said, it's about you doing the work and you
- 28:41Speaker 1: doing what's best for you and what works for you.
- 28:44Speaker 1: It's not about everybody else. It's about you and you
- 28:47Speaker 1: doing what you feel is right for you, and whatever
- 28:51Speaker 1: you feel is gonna be what's gonna make you happy,
- 28:57Speaker 1: because with or without people, you got to find your
- 28:59Speaker 1: own hap happiness. You gotta find your own joy. And
- 29:02Speaker 1: while you go through this recovery, you gonna realize how
- 29:05Speaker 1: much you lost and how much time you waste it
- 29:09Speaker 1: with other people and you still ain't where you need
- 29:11Speaker 1: to be. You uplifted everybody else, but you didn't uplift yourself,
- 29:15Speaker 1: and you have to uplift yourself. You can't uplift other
- 29:20Speaker 1: people and lose yourself and lower yourself. No, that's not
- 29:24Speaker 1: the way it works. So I just wanted to come
- 29:27Speaker 1: on here and just tell you stop lowering yourself for
- 29:29Speaker 1: other people. Stop trying to be where everybody else wants
- 29:32Speaker 1: you to be, and do what makes you happy. But
- 29:35Speaker 1: don't lower yourself to build somebody else up, and then
- 29:39Speaker 1: you're not where you need to because that's unfair. So
- 29:42Speaker 1: with that being said, I just wanted to say that
- 29:44Speaker 1: real quick. So I want to thank y'all for joining
- 29:47Speaker 1: me for this episode. I'm still a little bit under
- 29:50Speaker 1: the weather, so I try to keep these podcasts as
- 29:52Speaker 1: short as possible so I feel better. But with that
- 29:54Speaker 1: being said, I appreciate y'all, I love y'all for supporting me,
- 29:58Speaker 1: and I will talk to y'all next time. Hey,
