- 0:10Welcome to reality TV Cringe. I am one of your hosts, Delia here
- 0:16with my real tight homegirl and my daughter in law Beutres. Everybody do it
- 0:23today, Beatrice, I'm good. I feel like I just saw you because
- 0:26I was at your house all weekend, every single day. I am one
- 0:31hundred percent rallying. My god, I ate so much food. I'm a
- 0:35broken person. I mean you were drinking, broken and reckfast. I was
- 0:40drinking, but I was working all weekend. Yeah. From the time I
- 0:43got up, which admittedly was eleven, Yeah, I went to sleep.
- 0:47I was just serving and cooking and cleaning. It was just like, oh
- 0:50my god. And the reason I was waking up at eleven was because I
- 0:54couldn't sleep because you were drinking, probably disrupting my sleep. But it was
- 0:58just like, oh my god. I'm glad that it's over, I know,
- 1:02so I can decompress. Yeah, and lose a little weight to be
- 1:06doublet. We hope you all had a wonderful holiday for those who celebrate.
- 1:12And then of course after everybody left, we got to sit down and watch
- 1:18Sister Wives Bitches. We did good Tale. All this tell nothing. We
- 1:23knew it was gonna be shitty. Yep, But you know it's I just
- 1:27go into it every episode thinking like, oh, hopefully it'll be better.
- 1:32And I mean, there was some things said. There are some things said
- 1:34that were kind of interesting. Seek seemed like she was kind of trying.
- 1:38But the flashbacks, why do we have to see the same shit that we've
- 1:42already seen in this season? The entire the entire scene of like Salsa Brava
- 1:49and the Christmas fight from start to finish with everybody watching, and we're looking
- 1:55at their expressions. I mean, like, is this necessary? We've already
- 1:57we've already seen this a million times this season. But it's exactly what we
- 2:01talked about last week, yep, that they were gonna do, yes,
- 2:05and it's what they did. It's of course it's what they did because they
- 2:07don't give a shit about us. They don't give a shit about all the
- 2:10hard work we do, know, all the forensic raccoons she had got to
- 2:15do. No, they don't care. They know we're gonna watch anyway.
- 2:16So let's talk about how they looked. And when I say they, I
- 2:21mean Cody because the way his like bang curls are so carefully placed and gelled
- 2:30right at the top of his head. We're just the bald spot, yes,
- 2:34and then the very intricate Shirley Temple esque curls. And also his face
- 2:38looked a lot rounder to me, fuller, almost like he's got fillers.
- 2:43I know, I think I was looking at his lips. I'm like,
- 2:45they're kind of plump. Is he the kind of guy that would get some
- 2:49cosmetic augmentations, yes, totally vain because he thinks he's a physical specimen.
- 2:54He thinks he's so hot. He's got to maintain the look for his hot
- 2:59wife. Robin, who, by the way, looks terrible. Do you
- 3:02think so? Her eyebrows are better, They're better. We have to give
- 3:06it to her. She just looks so like sunken in in herself, like
- 3:10just terrible, so sad, more smiling. I'm just like God, a
- 3:16human violin. That's what you get for being married to I mean, seriously,
- 3:23life is beautiful. Go outside, touch grass, Robber. I thought
- 3:29Christine looked beautiful. Yeah, I mean I know she was annoying you.
- 3:31She was annoying me. You're getting more and more annoyed with her as the
- 3:36weeks go on. It's just so performative and She's like, I don't care
- 3:38about your fucking divorce. Like I care about your divorce, but I don't
- 3:42care about you being like I'm so like happy, and I'm with my love
- 3:46of my life that I've only met for or known for a year. It's
- 3:50just like right at the time I've been taping, it was seven months.
- 3:53Yes, like calm down, please take it down a notch. So we
- 3:55had you now, and she seemed great. She seemed very solid, very
- 4:00earthy, because she's our Torian mother, she's a queen, and she's ready
- 4:04to show up and have some laughs and have a good time. And then
- 4:06we have Mary, who I just have to say is a beautiful woman.
- 4:11But she desperately needs a stylist. Yeah, she desperately needs a makeup artist.
- 4:17Yep, she desperately needs help. Yes, her hair, I can't
- 4:21take it. Every time I see her. I thought maybe she'd show up
- 4:25and she'd be a little frante. Do their all their own makeup and hair.
- 4:29I don't think they have people that do it for them. Why,
- 4:31I don't know. This has to be a show that's making TLC a lot
- 4:35of money. Yeah, and you can't afford to have makeup artists and hair
- 4:40stylists and a clothing stylist. Maybe it comes out of their budget and they're
- 4:44like, no, we need the money, Like especially Cody and Robine.
- 4:46They're so matronly, the women, especially Robin. She's the youngest, she
- 4:50dresses the oldest. It's really bad. Cringe. But we'll go more into
- 4:58these folks and everything they talked about in just a bit. First, I
- 5:00wanted to read an article to you that I thought was kind of interesting,
- 5:05because you know, I get those Sister Wives Google alerts. Yeah, along
- 5:09with Welcome to Platville, which, by the way, is an eminently better
- 5:12show. I don't know if you guys are watching or following along, but
- 5:15like, so much better, so much better, so much more fun,
- 5:17so many That's okay, we're stuck in this Sister Wives, dunte and hell
- 5:24together, so we might as well make the most of it. So I
- 5:27read this article, the title of which is Sister Wives. Three wild and
- 5:31bold predictions about the Brown family moving forward, fake psychic partitions, well,
- 5:36none of which are bold, all of which I think we have already,
- 5:43but I wanted to talk about it, and I also wanted to run it
- 5:46by y'all if you are watching or if you are listening, we didn't do
- 5:47our disclaimer. Oh before I do that, let me give you the disclaimer.
- 5:51We are a politically incorrect podcast. We're also very tired. I'm kind
- 5:56of grouchy, and so if yeah, today is not the data in the
- 6:00dumpster with us, get out of here, but find another place to eat
- 6:03a trash for real. Also, we have an Instagram, go follow us
- 6:06there at reality tv Crunch, and we've got a Patreon, Patreon dot com
- 6:11sash reality tv Crunch Where've got a lot of bonus content up on there,
- 6:15tons of bonus content. And if you're watching on YouTube, please don't forget
- 6:17to like, comment, share, and subscribe. Every little thing you do
- 6:20is magic. Yeah, and we appreciate it. Thanky. Back to this
- 6:25article, the first bold prediction, Mary Brown will pen a tell all book,
- 6:30which we had said, I don't know a year ago. Yeah,
- 6:33I was feeling that in the field quite some time ago. And then she
- 6:38sat herself down with Sue Kanya. I've been calling her Sukiana this wee soue
- 6:45Kanya and she is directly implying, isn't she yeah, that she's going my
- 6:50voice write a book will be heard. I will no longer be silenced.
- 6:55Bitch. You better mean that this time. Then you better actually spill some
- 7:00real tea and that book of yours if you want to sell anything, because
- 7:02people are gonna buy it regardless. There's gonna be sister wives fans that are
- 7:05just gonna buy it, like me of course, that are just gonna want
- 7:09to read it. But if it's bullshit, if it's just the same Instagram
- 7:14cryptic non so motivation, hashtag work, oh like no, you could be
- 7:20so famous. You could have a whole tell all book. Everybody's gonna be
- 7:25lining up to pay you money for it, and you could be a multimillionaire
- 7:29and just to just to say suck you, suck it, Cody and yeah,
- 7:31Robin. But if you I swear to God, if it's just bullshit
- 7:35the whole entire time of her worthying up, I'm just gonna be so mad.
- 7:39Yeah. I really think the way to go with that is to spill
- 7:43the tea. Yeah, spill all the tea. You've got the kids out
- 7:46here on their patreons spilling tea. Why can't you spill the team? I
- 7:49present yourself and you know there's been some stuff that's been said about Mary in
- 7:54the last year that I really hope she addresses, I e. The abuse
- 7:58claims by Gwendolen Peyton and also Machelt, Like what do you have to say
- 8:01for yourself? We want to hear. So if she writes a tell all
- 8:05book, I will be buying that book. But make it worth the I
- 8:09don't know thirty dollars you're going to make me because you're a grifter? Yes,
- 8:13all right. Bold prediction number two Cody Brown and Robin Brown will move
- 8:20out of flag Staff. I think that's true. And we've talked about this
- 8:24too with their house, like how are they going to afford this McMansion with
- 8:26the heated driveway when they both don't work, Like we've heard some talk of,
- 8:31like Cody's still doing his gun business stuff, but we don't really know
- 8:33how much money that's actually bringing in. Robin's not doing shit. We know
- 8:37this for the last twelve years, she's just been living off of Janelle's money
- 8:41and Christine's money, right, and Mary's money. So I would love to
- 8:46see them move out and get a tiny little house somewhere because they can't afford
- 8:50anything else, a dormitory apartment perhaps, that would be amazing. Yeah,
- 8:56don't. I don't know. I think Robin is really incentive devised to stay
- 9:01put. I know she had said, like, this is the last move.
- 9:03I want to stay wherever we go, I just want to stay.
- 9:07And so I think she's gonna have to be really hard pressed to leave her
- 9:11McMansion and also to leave flag Staff. But if money gets tight, they're
- 9:16gonna have to do what they're gonna have to do. And again we're here
- 9:20for the bankruptcy era. Yes, bold, predictable. Well okay, well
- 9:24let me ask you this. If they leave flag Staff, where do you
- 9:26think they'll go? Do you think they'll go back to Utah? Oh my
- 9:30god, that would be crazy if they went back to Utah. But it
- 9:33would make sense because they have a lot of family up there, and truly's
- 9:35up there so Cody could see her more often. He didn't give a shit
- 9:37about Truly, No, he doesn't. But I mean, it's just incentive
- 9:41for him to look better. Right, if he's caring about his image and
- 9:43how he's being perceived, it would be smart in his favor to move back
- 9:48up where family is. But I don't know. Maybe Vegas, I was
- 9:50I was thinking Vegas. They might go back to Vegas. I could see
- 9:54them actually moving back to Vegas. Yes. And finally, bold prediction number
- 9:58three, Christina Jane Brown's friendship will fizzle after Sister wivesh And I kind of
- 10:07can sniff that too a little bit because Christine is exhausting, she's so annoying,
- 10:11and Janelle is so level headed. She uses an economy of words.
- 10:16She's not here to just talk your fucking ear off. She's the kind of
- 10:20person like me. When you're around big excited energy too long, you just
- 10:22short out, you get grouchy. Yeah. I can't see her putting up
- 10:26with Christine shit long term. Yeah, I mean, I don't know.
- 10:31Maybe they'll still be friends because of all their kids and everything, but they're
- 10:35also like at two different places in their life, Like Christine is married to
- 10:39another man now and living her monogamous life. Janelle's single, I guess,
- 10:45but then is still living in flag Staff, so it's kind of weird.
- 10:48She's like going back and forth like so, I don't know, maybe it
- 10:52will kind of fizzle out, but it'll still be there in some existence because
- 10:54I agree, it's I agree. I think that they'll remain cordial. Yeah,
- 10:58they will be friends, but I don't know that they're going to be
- 11:01going to Hawaii every year new or doing vacations all the time, because I
- 11:05think Christine is team too much. Yeah, and those are the bold predictions.
- 11:09And so if you are watching on YouTube, let us know what you
- 11:11think. Do you can think that those things are going to come to pass?
- 11:16Let us know. And before we get into this episode, I hear
- 11:18that Ethel, who you reference in almost every Sister Wives episode. She's my
- 11:24real tight homegirl. She has called in on the speak Pipe. And by
- 11:26the way, if you want to call in and talk to us and sound
- 11:30off about the shows that we're watching, all you have to do is go
- 11:33to speakpipe dot com slash reality TV Cringe. You have ninety seconds. It
- 11:37is free and easy, and we'd love to hear from you. Yeah,
- 11:41just like I'd love to hear from Ethel. Now, what does she have
- 11:43to say to the Raccoons? Well, she's got a hot take for us,
- 11:46and so I thought we could discuss it because she texted me this earlier
- 11:50today and I was like, bitch, what what? Okay? Now we
- 11:54got to talk about it all right? Hey, b and d Ex Mormon
- 11:58friend ethel here. I just wanted to send in a message because I wanted
- 12:03to see what you two thought about Robin in this tell all. So far,
- 12:09I find myself siding with her, or at least believing her account of
- 12:16things. Besides her real fake tears, I just found myself believing that she
- 12:26was being genuine about like what happened, Like when she said there's been a
- 12:31lot of rewriting of history lately. I felt like she kind of called Cody
- 12:37out in that moment that he's been changing the narrative of you know, the
- 12:43past thirty some odd years, and the fact that she disagreed with Cody's narrative
- 12:52of like, oh, Robin wouldn't be safe at with my family, blah
- 12:56blah blah. But when Robin's like if if they would have invited me,
- 13:01I would have felt safe. I would have brought my kids, I would
- 13:03have done whatever. So, while I do think Robin is the master manipulator,
- 13:13she wanted to be the queen of the all of them, not the
- 13:18only ones. So I think that she genuinely misses them. That is a
- 13:22hot take. Yeah, and I know that there are quite a few Robin
- 13:28apologists and not that she's being an apologist. I get what she's saying because
- 13:35Robin, I would say, in this till nothing seemed more human, yeah,
- 13:39and authentic than she normally does, because normally she's very performative and fake.
- 13:46But I am not personally buying it. When she said she would go
- 13:50to Janelle's if she had been invited, that's a noe from me, dog,
- 13:56Because when Mary said that she could have the entire family over to Mary's
- 14:01house for Christmas Eve, it was Robin who said she didn't feel safe,
- 14:05right, that that was scary. That's a scary idea, right, good
- 14:09point, right, But the whole Her comment about the rewriting of history,
- 14:13though, I thought was interesting because if you are trying to be on Cody's
- 14:16side or like trying to escape blame and everything, then why would she talk
- 14:22about that. Well, did she say it was Cody that was rewriting history
- 14:26or did she say text of Cody sort of? I don't know. I
- 14:31think that she's also running defense because it is so glaringly obvious that they are
- 14:37rewriting history, and she is like a big proponent of that. She's one
- 14:43of the ones, for sure who's rewriting history. So I think she's maybe
- 14:46running defense. I think she knows that everybody's saying that, and so maybe
- 14:50she's acknowledging that to some degree, But she did not attach that to Cody,
- 14:54So I'd like to hear her thoughts more about that. Yeah. We
- 14:58do see in the preview though, that she's saying that she's having a lot
- 15:01of fights with Cody, that he's picking fights, yeah, and that he's
- 15:05trying to like sabotage their relationship. I've seen previews for that too, so
- 15:09I think those things are true. It's like, well, we always say
- 15:13there's like nuggets of truth and everything that is going on here, But at
- 15:18the same time, like Robin has been the puppet master for all of this.
- 15:20So even if her plan was to be Queen Bee, which I do
- 15:24agree with ethlete do dad that she wanted to be the top bitch, not
- 15:28the only bitch left, she still did all of this though. She still
- 15:33manipulated the whole entire family and caused the breakups of a lot of these right
- 15:37marriages. So it's like, I see Robin's points, but at the same
- 15:43time, I'm like, fuck you, bitch, Yeah, and too little,
- 15:46a little too late, Yeah, if you ask me, but I'm
- 15:48very I'm actually interested to see what she continues to say through the tell alls
- 15:54because if she's throwing Cody under the bus, I am here for that every
- 15:58single time. Yes, well, I like the hot take. Thank you
- 16:02very much, Thanks Ethel And again, if you guys want to talk with
- 16:06us, leave us a message. Just go to speakpipe dot com slash reality
- 16:07TV Cringe and we would love to hear from you. Yeah, all right,
- 16:11let's get into season eighteen, episode fifteen one on one, part one.
- 16:18We open this episode with everybody getting ready without a glam squad or anybody
- 16:23cares, dylist or a hairst nobody has, nobody cares. Nobody cares at
- 16:29all, Like you're not ninety day fiance. This is not going onto the
- 16:33big set of TLC with everybody in their chairs, like nobody cares about you
- 16:37getting ready at all. I was interested, really, I'm like, yeah,
- 16:41because I want to know who's doing Is somebody actually professionally doing your makeup,
- 16:45Mary, because that person needs to be fired? And is somebody actually
- 16:48selecting from like a rack of clothes your wardrobe for day because that person needs
- 16:52to be fired? And so you see that a lot the getting ready like
- 16:56on Bravo with the Housewives, and so I thought it was interesting to see.
- 17:00And of course then they all get to the set and Cody calls it
- 17:03a variety show, and then they start talking about what their song would be
- 17:08if they sang it on a variety show. Yeah, And Christine says,
- 17:12what was it the I can see clearly now the rain is gone, right,
- 17:17and Cody says, losing my religion, which I thought was interesting.
- 17:22Yes, So we kind of get right into it, and just some of
- 17:27my main takeaways. I'm not going to go like item by item, sentence
- 17:30by sentence. Some of my main takeaways from this segment was that Cody is
- 17:34asserting at this time that his main issue, or the main thing he did
- 17:40wrong with his og marriages is he did not vet his wives. Yeah,
- 17:44meaning he was looking to build a family, but he was not necessarily focused
- 17:49on falling in love with these women. And so he's still trying to maintain
- 17:53that he never loved these women. And I don't understand why he feels the
- 17:57need to do this. He really fucking hurtful, Like and again, like
- 18:02I can understand the perspective of him being a young twenty something year old kid
- 18:07who had just converted to bolygamy because his dad converted to bolygamy and him just
- 18:11eagerly wanting to get into it. I mean, like Ethel talks about this
- 18:15a lot with the Mormon Church and LDS faith and everything, that a lot
- 18:18of Mormons get married really fucking quickly just because they're horny and just want to
- 18:22fuck because they can't fucking tell marriage, so they get into these marriages where
- 18:27they're stuck with people that they don't necessarily like or they're not compatible with,
- 18:30and blah blah blah blah. So I can understand that perspective, But Cody's
- 18:34only saying that because he doesn't want to take accountability for him being the failure
- 18:40in all of these marriages and for him not admitting to them sooner that he
- 18:45did fall in love with Robin. She was his soulmate and he didn't want
- 18:48to be with them anymore. Yeah, that's what's so fucked up about it.
- 18:51And he's doing it on purpose to hurt them, and doing it to
- 18:53hurt them and their children. I think he has to know that saying something
- 18:56like that about his children's mothers is going to hurt them right and make them
- 19:02upset. And why would you say that on national TV? If your children
- 19:04can hear that what child wants to hear from their dad, then I never
- 19:07loved their mother for thirty years of marriage. And it's untrue. Yeah,
- 19:11it's patently untrue. Yeah. I feel like he's trying to save face.
- 19:15I think it's an issue of pride. I think he feels like he's been
- 19:18humiliated on a national stage, and so these are the types of things that
- 19:22he feels the need to say to level the playing field. But it just
- 19:26makes you look so fucking toxic and awful. He does talk about the difference
- 19:30between his falling in love with the first three wives, although he says he
- 19:36doesn't but like their journey into marriage versus when he fell in love with Robin,
- 19:41because the way he says it, like he was crying for months after
- 19:45falling in love with Robin, like he had never been in love before,
- 19:49so he really didn't know what he was missing or that he maybe should have
- 19:52been looking for that in his first three marriages. Do we believe that or
- 19:56do you think that's purely sex based, like maybe they just had banging sex.
- 20:02The whole entire time, and he just didn't realize what he was missing
- 20:06because he was married to these three women for a really long time. They
- 20:08had a million kids, so their sex lives obviously changed, and maybe he
- 20:12was just infatuated with Robin and her breakdancing pussy. I don't know. I
- 20:17think by the time Robin comes into the picture, Cody has been trying to
- 20:21manage three fighting wives and three wives who have like different agendas and there's different
- 20:26power trips and pecking orders, and he's been trying to do it for all
- 20:30these years. And then Robin comes in, younger, fresher breakdancing, and
- 20:34it's like just a breath of fresh air. Yeah, and he decides that's
- 20:40something he wants to focus on. Like, I think he was like forty
- 20:41years old when he met Robin, right, yeah, something like that,
- 20:45something like that, So he's a bit older, he's been through I don't
- 20:47know how many years with these other women, and so it just dawns on
- 20:49him that hey, this is what loves about. This is actually what I
- 20:52want to pursue, I guess. And Suki also asked Janelle about their origin
- 20:59Storage and Cody, and she's like, no, we were in love.
- 21:02I mean, we grew into a deeper love. But like for him to
- 21:06try and say now that there was no love is absolutely untrue. And again,
- 21:11the way Cody talks about Janelle, especially in Vegas, they had a
- 21:15renaissance, a sexual renaissance. Honey, he was writing her poetry, he
- 21:18was over all the time. The implication to me, the energy behind that
- 21:22is very sexual. Yeah, And we also see that towards the end of
- 21:26the episode because it comes up because Suk's gonna ask do y'all have good sex?
- 21:30Yeah? And I think the answer is gonna be yes, Oh totally.
- 21:33Cody's gonna say no. Cody's probably gonna be like, well, I
- 21:34thought it was good until I met Robin, right or something like that.
- 21:38Right. But Janelle's gonna be like, well, yeah, we were physically
- 21:41compatible, is what she says in the preview. So they obviously had a
- 21:45good relationship, and Janelle says several times during this particular episode that they had
- 21:49all of the elements of a functional marriage and for a long time it was
- 21:53healthy between them, and for her it wasn't necessarily about sex or his pecks
- 21:59or his six pack, as it was about the emotional connection that they had,
- 22:03right, So there was love there, Cody. Maybe I don't know,
- 22:07maybe he's conflating love with lust or something or infatuation, because to me,
- 22:12he can't actually believe that he wasn't in love with all these wives.
- 22:17To me, he can't actually believe that Janelle considered him to be a physical
- 22:22specimen and was unable to see his humanity, Like all she regarded me as
- 22:27was a sex object and somebody who could provide her with resources slash finances,
- 22:32Like do you really actually believe that? And the shit you're saying about your
- 22:36pex in your body, Like have you not seen the own footage of you
- 22:38in your box or briefs or whatever in the pond? I mean, come
- 22:42on, this is not reality. You're not living in the same dimension as
- 22:47the rest of us. Do you really believe this? But I think narcs
- 22:49does actual diagnosable narcissists see themselves in these aggrandized ways that are not rooted in
- 22:56reality. Yep. And he's a straight up fucking This whole entire episode was
- 23:00so frustrating to watch because we watched it together and you're like, I have
- 23:03to just calm down because he just pisses me off so much. You're like,
- 23:07I can't just do this. I can't talk about him on the pod
- 23:11because I'm just gonna be spewing hatred about him because he's the worst. And
- 23:15the entire episode is just him blaming everybody else and skirting around his personal responsibility
- 23:22and accountability. It's like ridiculous. Was there one instance in this episode where
- 23:27he took personal responsibility for anything other than his Their trash talking me because I
- 23:36fail to love them. I'm guilty of not loving I'm guilty, So I'm
- 23:38guilty of not loving them. That's like when you go in for a job
- 23:41interview and they ask you, like, what's like your your problem area and
- 23:45you're like, oh, I'm too loyal, I'm too much of a hard
- 23:48worker, too much of a perfectionist. So they're trash talking me because I'm
- 23:53guilty of only loving the best and the brightest, break dancing pussy process.
- 24:00I'm just like, not once, is what I'm saying. Not once was
- 24:03there an instance where he took responsibility for the way he spoke? And he
- 24:06could have many times over for the things that he said for his relationship with
- 24:11his children, because Suki actually asked him, like, why didn't you ask
- 24:15Janelle during that fight that y'all had if you could come over and see your
- 24:18kids? And he starts the reply there with something like, well, you
- 24:22know they're gonna blame Robin, yeah, and then turns it into this.
- 24:26You could just see his defected thinking, like he's trying to say it's not
- 24:32Robin, but then he makes it into something about Robin, like I'm not
- 24:34gonna take Robin goes where I go, yeah, And I'm not gonna take
- 24:38Robin into a situation that's not safe because they don't like her and she doesn't
- 24:41feel welcome. And this is where we pan over to Robin and Robin's like,
- 24:45yeah, I would go yeah, which is interesting. It is interesting.
- 24:49I'm like, Okay, I don't know if I believe her with that,
- 24:52because Cody's saying one thing and she's saying another. Now, when Suki
- 24:56presses Robin about that, and she's like, well, this is what Cody's
- 24:59saying. He's saying that you guys can't be separated, that he doesn't like
- 25:03this conflict between the kids and you, and blah blah blah, and Robin's
- 25:06like, well I expected him to work out the relationships with the boys.
- 25:10Specifically, I never wanted an apology. I never asked for an apology,
- 25:15and I don't know, maybe that's true. She never directly said, your
- 25:19children need to apologize to me before I will be around them. What she
- 25:25did was manipulate the situation. Exa really just feels unsafe. I've never welcome
- 25:30Cody, they don't love my kids, and then activated him into a course
- 25:33of actions. So she didn't say it out right, but she actually did
- 25:37say it. I die yeah. So that's why it comes off like it's
- 25:40genuine. When she says, oh, I didn't know or I didn't want
- 25:42him to say those things, it's because she's inadvertently saying it or saying it
- 25:47through her actions. So it's just so fucked up. But Cody, with
- 25:51the whole you're not gonna separate me and Robin. Thing like that is so
- 25:55fucking toxic. It is. It is so ridiculous to me that you will,
- 26:00Like Mary says in this episode, you know, Mary and Cody and
- 26:03Robin had a sole connection. They spoke of this often. But it sucks
- 26:07that because they had this connection, the rest of the family just had to
- 26:11be discarded. And that's what Cody's done, and he's not seeing that because
- 26:15he only sees it through the lens of well, everybody hates Robin. I
- 26:19have to be the loyal and protective husband because I love her so much and
- 26:22I love that break dancing pussy, and I would do anything for it,
- 26:26even sacrifice my whole entire family of eighteen thousand people, right, I mean,
- 26:32And that's just like not how life works when we get divorced, or
- 26:36it shouldn't be how life works when you get divorced, Like you don't bring
- 26:40your new wife over to your ex wife's house to see your kids with that
- 26:45ex wife, right the wife the new wife doesn't need to be involved in
- 26:48absolutely everything. And if there's tension in the family or if things aren't resolved,
- 26:52that doesn't mean you don't see your kids until everything is resolved to your
- 26:56specifications, yes, which is what you wants. Yep. And this is
- 27:00like what I've said a couple episodes ago that this is kind of a typical
- 27:04like divorce to dad Mo, because it even happened with your daughter and her
- 27:08dad. He said to her, well, they're my package deal, and
- 27:12that was kind of messed up. It happened with my dad and are my
- 27:17parents' divorce and everything. I mean, they essentially told us if we don't
- 27:19accept our stepmom, we can't have a relationship with our dad, And it's
- 27:23like, okay, the two can be mutually exclusive. And you're never going
- 27:29to solve relationships or disagreements with your kids in a divorce setting. If you
- 27:33have that kind of mentality, of course, the kids are going to be
- 27:36like, well, then fuck you, dad, I don't need to be
- 27:38around. If you're really gonna make me choose between this witch of a person
- 27:42and you, then I'm just gonna bounce because I'm not doing this right.
- 27:48And that just reminds me when my ex husband said that to my daughter when
- 27:55they were having a conversation and my daughter was just wanting to have some specialized
- 28:00time with her father, who she rarely saw because he moved away. He
- 28:03said, well, my new wife and her kids are my package deal.
- 28:07And my daughter said, well, why aren't I your package deal? Yeah?
- 28:11And I was like, oh god, why, And Cody, your
- 28:15kids should be the package. Yes, your allegiance and alliance should be to
- 28:19your children first. But he's such a bad father totally and he's a really
- 28:22bad husband, and he's a really bad person quite frankly, Yeah, and
- 28:26I can't stand I can't stand him either. So when we're talking about falling
- 28:30in love with Robin and how different the experience was, and of course we
- 28:33have Christine piping in she knew the moment that Cody had fallen in love.
- 28:37This was like the real first heartbreak she experienced in the relationship. We then
- 28:44have Janelle saying exactly, that's fine, like, I'm glad you found this
- 28:48connection, but that is then when you're supposed to make those extra efforts to
- 28:53take care of the rest of your family. You can have all the feelings
- 28:56you want to have, but you signed up for polygamy. You signed up
- 29:00for this particular family, and so if you're feeling that, your spiritual work
- 29:03around that would be to make sure everybody is taken care of regardless. Just
- 29:08like I'm sacrificing as a woman in this relationship by allowing you to fuck all
- 29:14of these other bitches. Yes, and that is something I have to put
- 29:15on the altar every day. You have to sacrifice how much you want to
- 29:19spend time with Robin and put that on the altar and still continue to be
- 29:25a husband and father to the rest of the family. Yes, and it
- 29:27sounds like he tried to do that for a little while, but at some
- 29:32point it's just like, I don't want to do it anymore. This is
- 29:34a farce. I really think if they were all able to make it work
- 29:37in like one big house, like in Lehigh where they had the plaghouse and
- 29:41the separate kitchens and everything, they probably could have made it work for a
- 29:45lot longer than what they did. I think what really fucked them over was
- 29:48moving to Vegas, having the separate homes and having the family be separated,
- 29:52because then you have all of this shit, and of course Cody doesn't want
- 29:56to be going back to every single house. How exhausting is that to have
- 29:59to pay up your life every other day to go pack up all of your
- 30:03shit and then go stay at another house and then go to another and then
- 30:06bohmm. It would have been better if he could have just had like two
- 30:10wives in the basement and then two upstairs, and then he could have just
- 30:12balanced this time a little bit better. But he can't well. And I
- 30:15also think Robin didn't want it. No, And again I say it's very
- 30:18curious to me how each of these wives, including Robin, track almost exactly
- 30:25the path of their mother, yes, and how the mother, her mother,
- 30:27lives separately as well. And I don't, I honestly don't think she
- 30:33wanted to share physical space with the other women. She always wanted to be
- 30:37set apart in her own way, yep, and therefore special and therefore head
- 30:41bitch in charge or queen Bee, as Ethel says, And that again,
- 30:45that could have worked, and Christine talks about it in this episode, like,
- 30:48you could have just said, this is my soulmate, right, and
- 30:52so let's figure it out for everybody else and find out, you know,
- 30:55how we are all supposed to be situated within that. But you never did
- 30:57that. You just kept lying about it, yeah, and pretending you're not
- 31:00spending more time over there with Robin, and pretending you don't favor her when
- 31:04you obviously do. Now you're causing problems due to deception, right and unfairness.
- 31:10Well, and it sounds like Christine told Cody that on like multiple times,
- 31:15she told him this is your soulmate. You found her, Like,
- 31:18why don't you just cut our losses and then we can try and figure something
- 31:21out for everybody. That benefits everybody. I wonder why he didn't accept that
- 31:26selfish, didn't want to manage it, didn't want to figure out how to
- 31:30do it. Meanwhile, he's so invested in his fame and his persona and
- 31:38making sure that everybody thinks this kind of a family can be successful and putting
- 31:44on this fake front that but behind the scenes, he's a terrible father and
- 31:48husband, awful, terrible person, neglectful very much. So after this we
- 31:53get into the terrible argument that Janelle had with Cody. We have to sit
- 32:00there with Suki and watch the whole thing over again and again. We've already
- 32:04seen this a million times, and we watch everybody's expression and then we kind
- 32:07of do the breakdown and download of what really happened there. So, what
- 32:12are some of your thoughts about that? I just thought this was stupid.
- 32:15Like the second they started playing this whole scene, I was like, really,
- 32:17right, we have to watch this whole entire fucking thing going on,
- 32:21as if there haven't been like a million clips of this scene going around the
- 32:24entire season for months yep, on the internet. Like we all have this
- 32:29scene basically memorized at this point, and we have to watch it again.
- 32:32Okay, but I guess my takeaway with this was Cody and again his deflection,
- 32:38like he's avoiding taking full ownership for his awful, abusive behavior during this
- 32:45scene by saying, well, I just got triggered. Hm hmm. I
- 32:47just got triggered because I saw the tree and because Janelle's taking sides with my
- 32:52ex wife she should be loyal to me. It's like, oh my god,
- 32:55dude, do you hear how you sound right now? And what you're
- 32:58seeing is my content because I have been betrayed and Janelle has no empathy for
- 33:05my situation, my situation with my children who are also betraying me. And
- 33:08she has no empathy for the fact that I almost died from COVID. She
- 33:13didn't come and deliver food to my door. Oh and she didn't seem to
- 33:16care. She's not capable of empathy, which is insane, an incredible thing
- 33:22to say about somebody that you were married to for almost thirty years. And
- 33:25I mean, dare I say Janelle was like one of the ones that probably
- 33:29knew him the best. I mean, she's been calling him out all season
- 33:32about his inability to like actually practice his faithfully by getting rid of his ego,
- 33:39superficial needs and stepping outside of himself to make sure that everybody has their
- 33:45needs met. He couldn't fucking do that. She's calling him out all season,
- 33:49and then for him to say that she lacks empathy, like complete empathy
- 33:52for him and compassion, doesn't see his humanity, only cares about him as
- 33:57a piece of meat, dick, I mean, and a dollar, get
- 34:00a dollar. And then in the same breath he'll say, but I'm not
- 34:05blaming anybody. I take accountability for how I behaved in this fight because I
- 34:10got triggered and I escalated. But I just have so much contempt for her
- 34:15right because she's such a terrible person, Like that's the implication. Unbelievable.
- 34:20Yeah, And I don't know how you could watch yourself back in a fight
- 34:23like that and not take some humble ownership of how you fucked that up.
- 34:30I don't get it. He like stands ten toes down in his bullshit.
- 34:34Yeah, he will not admit anything. And Janelleburn even says that when he
- 34:39came into this argument, like she had talking points, she had things that
- 34:44she wanted to say, like she it sounds like she had prepared to some
- 34:46degree. Yeah, but he just steamrolled her. She wasn't even to get
- 34:50she wasn't even able to get anything out, and all he did was fingerpoint.
- 34:54And then she says, Cody never self reflects. Then we bop one
- 34:58over to Mary, who says, yeah, yeah, he could stand a
- 35:00little self introspection because all that we hear from him is a whole lot of
- 35:05blame yes, time and time again, over and over again. And Janelle
- 35:08even says, like, through the entirety of their relationship, that's how their
- 35:12communication has always been. Cody just always blames other people for their bullshit.
- 35:17He's never the one to say, yeah, you know what I messed up
- 35:21here, Like I need to improve here, I need to be better for
- 35:22you. He's never the one to say that. So I'm like, that's
- 35:25pretty big to hear from Janelle, And that also speaks to your human side,
- 35:30Cody, because she's calling you out right yet again. Yeah, she's
- 35:35got your number. Then we get into the whole Cody is jealous thing,
- 35:40where Cody actually admits that he feels a little jealous that Janelle selected Christine in
- 35:47terms of who she wanted to hang out with and who she wanted to have
- 35:51Christmas with as opposed to choosing him, and we see Christine saying, well,
- 35:55yeah, how does it feel? Yeah, this is the shit I
- 35:58had to deal with for all of these years, always watching you pick somebody
- 36:01else, always watching you run to somebody else to have all of the deep
- 36:05conversations while I'm an outsider. So now that it's happening to you, do
- 36:08you get it? And he then it counters with him saying well, I
- 36:14never said that polygamy was a fair lifestyle, Like it's objectively unfair for the
- 36:17women involved, and I know that it's like, okay, just expand on
- 36:23that a little bit further. But then he gets mad that Christine's you know,
- 36:28flipping the tables around on him, because again, he can never be
- 36:30at fault and he can never be responsible for anything. And then he also
- 36:36says something about Janelle and Christine, saying, oh, that they are acting
- 36:40the way they are now that they should have been acting the last twenty seven
- 36:45years. Right, So that's why he's pissed off and jealous right of their
- 36:49relationship because now they're great and their friends, but they could have been like
- 36:52that the last thirty years. Well maybe they weren't because of you, or
- 36:55maybe they were and you just didn't care to notice, Or maybe they were
- 36:59just having an normal female relationship where there are ups and downs and things happen
- 37:02in your sharing space and you have all these kids and that's just the normal
- 37:06rhythm of life, right, Maybe you could have done something to foster more
- 37:09of a relationship with all of these wives who now like are so split apart
- 37:13from Mary isn't part of anybody's Joe. She's totally on the outskirts. What
- 37:16could you have done to change that? No, But it's always the work
- 37:20of the women, Yes, And it's always like, well, you invited
- 37:22yourself into this family. You're the one who asked to be here. You're
- 37:25the one who got to choose to choose your man. I'm like, well,
- 37:29it's not like you were brain dead when that was happening. So you
- 37:31weren't in a vegetative state when they said I select you. You were a
- 37:35part of that process. You dated these people. Do you think we're stupid?
- 37:39And he does, and that's because he's stupid and stupid people think that
- 37:44they can get one over on other people. Yeah, he's acting like all
- 37:47of this was against his will, like you didn't have any choice in all
- 37:51of this, But it's like, no, you did, and you chose
- 37:53to do this because of your faith. But you were too weak of a
- 37:57man to handle this entire family and handle four wives and your business. I
- 38:01mean sorry, but you made your bed, now lie in it. That's
- 38:05just what it is. And it really is him being weak because he couldn't
- 38:10step outside of himself, like Janelle always says, to meet everybody's knees.
- 38:15He just got fucking selfish and he was in love with Robin. And that's
- 38:17again, that's fine, but you could have saved so much fucking heartbreak.
- 38:22Could you imagine if Christine got to leave him ten twelve years ago and where
- 38:27she would be at now, Same thing with Janelle and Mary, Like they
- 38:30all could have been way happier. Mary could have married her catfish, that's
- 38:34right. Could she have? Maybe? But yeah, no, they gave
- 38:39the best years of their life to Cody Brown, oh so unfortunate. Was
- 38:45never deserving of it. Truly terrible. And we also get into the whole
- 38:51COVID thing and how apparently Christine and Janelle were literally on vacation when Cody called
- 38:58Janelle no knowing she was on vacation with Christine, and told her to come
- 39:02home and to bring him some items, presumably food because he's trapped in his
- 39:07house and he's dying from COVID because he's got a ninety nine point nine fucking
- 39:13temperature. And it sounded like Janelle was actually considering to do it, but
- 39:17then Christine's like, you are not going to do that. You're gonna drive
- 39:20all the way back to flag and you're gonna go fucking shopping at the Croker.
- 39:23You're gonna get him the shit that he wants. You're going to take
- 39:25it to the McMansion and leave it outside the door. He's not going to
- 39:29come out. He's not going to see you. He just wants you to
- 39:31leave your vacation and your family time and prove your allegiance to him. And
- 39:36then he's gonna shit on you for it. Yep, you are not doing
- 39:38it. And I'm like, okay, Christine, based thank you. Yeah,
- 39:42because Janelle's her own woman, woman, and you really can't tell her
- 39:45what to do. No, But in that moment, I'm glad she said
- 39:47something, and I'm glad Janelle didn't go back Oh so great, And it's
- 39:52just a perfect example of Cody's hypocrisy, saying that Janelle only used him for
- 39:57resources and shit, I'm like, you're literally asking for her to go or
- 40:00she shopping. You could have just paid like an Uber Eats person or like
- 40:04a grub hub person or whatever to pick up your groceries and drop it a
- 40:06car. Yes, it's the thing. You were wanting Jenelle to do it
- 40:09because you knew she probably would. He probably expected her to. But because
- 40:15Christine was there and Christine was like, fuck, no, you ain't doing
- 40:17that, she didn't love it. Love to see it, me too,
- 40:22me too. I thought that was very interesting because that was some information we
- 40:25didn't have. Yes. In the next segment, we do have Suki again
- 40:30asking Cody, why couldn't you just ask to go to Christmas? And he
- 40:36says he didn't really want to go without Robin. Robin doesn't feel welcome,
- 40:38It isn't safe. We have Robin saying she would have gone, which I
- 40:42think is a lie. Robin saying she never asked for an apology, which
- 40:45she's pretty bummed out that her name gets put into that when it was never
- 40:50the case. I don't believe her. Yeah, she said that a couple
- 40:54times throughout this season where she's like, I'm tired of people talking about me
- 41:00text and I'm like, well, I mean, this whole thing has always
- 41:02been centered around you, Like the last twelve years have been centered around you
- 41:07and your feelings and how you feel merging into this already established family. So
- 41:10don't say you don't want your name being thrown in there if it's been in
- 41:15there the whole entire day. Yeah, and you are in the center of
- 41:17it. Hello. And this is where Janelle is talking about Cody, initially
- 41:23wanting an apology from Gabe and Garrison and then saying, Okay, okay,
- 41:29maybe not an apology per se, because Robin got in his ass, but
- 41:32we need to have a conversation. We need to make peace. They need
- 41:36to come over to my house because I have a house, yeah, where
- 41:37I live with my family. They need to come over to my house and
- 41:42smooth things over, which is just another Janelle says. The mechanics are the
- 41:45very same. It's just another way of saying, you've got to come over
- 41:49kiss the ring of both myself and my wife in order to make things right,
- 41:52and then we can see if we have a relationship. So it's the
- 41:55same thing, it's just different words. Yes, Janelle ain't stupid, us
- 42:00are stupid. After this, we have Cody saying that both he and Janelle
- 42:05didn't see the value in their relationship. Such bullshit, Yeah, such bullshit,
- 42:09when earlier in this episode he was saying that he's at a place right
- 42:14now where he wants fromantic love with Janelle again. So don't say that you
- 42:17both don't see the value and the relationship. And Janelle's never said that she
- 42:22doesn't see the value in it. She just doesn't see the point in putting
- 42:25any more effort because of the way that you treated her and the way everything
- 42:30has gone the last couple of years. So yeah, after that fight when
- 42:32she said fuck you and she felt that sigh, the breath of fresh air
- 42:37and the relief wash over her, she's like, Yeah, why do I
- 42:39even bother anymore? I'm cool without you. And maybe at that point she
- 42:45didn't see the value of continuing the relationship. But it's not like she never
- 42:49saw the value in the relationship. Of course she did. She stayed married
- 42:52to you for twenty seven or thirty years or however long, and she stayed
- 42:55in this with you. But It's just it's almost like when somebody dumps their
- 43:00partner before their partner dumps them because they're insecure. It's like, because Janelle
- 43:04is taking a stand and because Janelle won't put up with his bullshit, he
- 43:07says, well, I don't see the value in their relationship. I mean
- 43:10I tried to love her, I made a choice to love her, or
- 43:14I made a choice to love Mary because of the things Janelle is now saying.
- 43:17But if Janelle was saying I would love to reconcile with him, I
- 43:21love Cody Brown, I want my family back together, I one hundred percent
- 43:24believe that Cody would be saying the same thing. Oh totally yeah. But
- 43:28he's also been saying that to the last couple episodes. He's wanting to reconcile
- 43:31with Janelle, but it's Janelle who's refusing all of his attempts. Oh my
- 43:36god, which is ridiculous because then we hear again in this episode after their
- 43:42big old fight, they didn't talk, see or communicate with each other for
- 43:45two months after that, before the whole Salsa Brava meet up. Right,
- 43:49So don't act like you want reconciliation or you want romantic love with Janelle,
- 43:52you've been downe with But with Janelle, you just want her money and you
- 43:57want her loyalty because you know that if it's un weavering, then you can
- 44:00get whatever you want from her. But now that she's like hanging out with
- 44:04Christine all the time and she sees what real life is like, she's like,
- 44:08fuck you dude. Do you think he also wants to stay with Janelle
- 44:13because she has been a so called secret keeper, Like she's seen the books,
- 44:16she's seen the money, she's seen how everything's been dispersed, she has
- 44:21the information, she knows where the bodies are buried, in effect, and
- 44:24so keeping her close is safer for him than having her go wander off and
- 44:28ultimately write a tale all book like Mary Ooh. Maybe maybe out of everybody,
- 44:34Janelle's the one that could hurt him the most. Oh my god,
- 44:36but she wouldn't though. I feel like, really I really need her to
- 44:38get I really need her to get litigious and get an attorney. She really
- 44:43does need to. All three of them do. And in the final segment,
- 44:46we have that full Salsa Brava flashback in and we talk about the difference
- 44:52between Cody's breakup with Christine and Cody's separation or continued separation with Janelle. Of
- 45:00course, with Janelle it was a lot calmer, but that's because Janelle is
- 45:02more calm, and she was just not brooking any bullshit from Cody. She
- 45:08gray rocked him. She's just like, yeah, I'm not feeling that,
- 45:12or yeah this or that. And to your point, like, if he
- 45:15really wanted that relationship and that romantic connection with Janelle even after Salsa Brava,
- 45:19he would have been calling therapists, he would have been reading books, he
- 45:22would have been self reflecting, which he has a critical inability to do.
- 45:25But he did none of that, further demonstrating to Janelle that he's full of
- 45:30shit. Yes, he's comfortable with his life with Robin and their McMansion and
- 45:36all their paintings and their Dickensian villages, Like he's totally fine with it.
- 45:39So as long as nothing rocks that boat, he doesn't give a shit.
- 45:43He just expects other people to give a shit, so that way it makes
- 45:45him feel better. Right, And then we have the part where he's talking
- 45:50about being a physical specimen. Suki brings up the pecks to Janelle. You
- 45:55know she has aw does it feel like, because we know that you have
- 46:00such a love of his pecks in his body, and she just cracks the
- 46:04fuck up, like that is the most ridiculous, ludicrous thing I have ever
- 46:08heard. I want an emotional connection, like most women do. We want
- 46:13an emotional communication, a deeper love. I don't really care that much about
- 46:17your pecks, which, by the way, you don't have. I know
- 46:21you don't have when you stood up at Salsa brav but we saw your beer
- 46:22gut or whatever kind of gut that is. You don't have pecks, What
- 46:25are you talking about? And Janelle even says she's like, he hasn't had
- 46:29those his whole entire life, Like he just recently got them, really because
- 46:34he started working out with his testostrol. Yes, yes, And so she
- 46:38even says that he loves those pecks like more than everybody else does, and
- 46:43so that also turned her off from it a bit. She was just like,
- 46:46it's a little much, Yeah, your love of yourself is a little
- 46:50much, just a bit. And then he tells Suki that Janelle treated him
- 46:53like a piece of meat. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard
- 46:58in my life, which I I think is him speaking to the connection sexually
- 47:05that he had with Janelle, and he's going to try and frame it going
- 47:08forward that like, yeah, you know, I had to please her because
- 47:10that's all she wanted out of me, was sex sex, because I'm such
- 47:14a sex god, I felt like a piece of meat versus just saying yeah,
- 47:17Janelle and I had a legitimate connection. It was physical, sexual,
- 47:22intimate, emotional. He won't be able to say that because that gives her
- 47:25credit in the relationship. Instead, he's going to say, like, yeah,
- 47:28I had to fuck her though, because if I didn't fuck her,
- 47:30it would be hell to pay. That's all she wanted from me. I
- 47:32wonder if they'll bring up like physical attractiveness in terms of because remember like when
- 47:37we were doing our rewinds and we got to the gym episodes and Robin was
- 47:42talking about all their stretch marks, yes, their curveness, yes, which
- 47:46is obesity. Okay, loves curvy girls, beast girls, Okay. Like
- 47:53I wonder if he'll bring that stuff up, like if he'll go that low
- 47:58because he's already said about Christine right about how he was repulsed by her,
- 48:02not sexually attracted to her at all, So like if he goes to that
- 48:07level with Janelle and Mary. Oh. I can't imagine a world where a
- 48:15man would do that, especially a man who shares children with that woman.
- 48:20Yeah, but we are talking about Cody Brown. Yeah, and I think
- 48:23that maybe he deployed Robin last season in the tel all for her to say
- 48:28something about the stretch marks. I feel like they talked. They prepared a
- 48:30lot in advance, for example, telling Mary that he was considering reconciliation and
- 48:36Christine is the one who ruined it, Like they planned that ahead of time.
- 48:39Yeah. I think they also planned the stretch marks, So I wouldn't
- 48:43be surprised if that's something that they might be planning. But I would be
- 48:47so thoroughly disgusted, Oh me too if he did that, Oh me too.
- 48:52It would be really, really terrible. But if he does say some
- 48:55shit like that, I hope that Sukiana brings that up to Christine, Janelle
- 49:00and Mary and calls it out for what it is, because we also saw
- 49:05the sexual chemistry between Mary and Codys and season and money, and I mean
- 49:09he was into her. He was into all of the wives, really,
- 49:13I mean he was genuinely trying. I think in the beginning seasons before it
- 49:16just kind of got to be too much and he just got lazy and tired.
- 49:22I don't know, it'll be interesting to see what else he says,
- 49:23all the horseshit that he tries to bring up right or if he doesn't want
- 49:28to answer certain questions. We'll see if that happens again this and of course
- 49:30he'll see is just going to let him do that. I do want to
- 49:34say that in the comments of our videos on YouTube, which by the way,
- 49:37is a treasure trove of information that like personally, I don't have,
- 49:40and I just want to reiterate for those who don't know, like I've come
- 49:43to Sister Wives in the last maybe five years or so. Yeah, if
- 49:47I have not been following since twenty twelve, so I don't know all the
- 49:51lore. I don't have all of the information same. But we did have
- 49:54somebody in the comments who said that in an interview Christina and Janelle we're doing
- 50:00for I Guess Entertainment tonight, that they said that they're the ones who will
- 50:07not sit down in the same room with Cody to have a group tell all,
- 50:10Oh, they said that they will not do it because you and I
- 50:15are constantly like gashing on about why the fuck can't Cody and Robin sit in
- 50:20a room with these other people and have to defend their statements. But maybe
- 50:25it's Christine and Janelle. Well obviously, if they're saying it is, then
- 50:29maybe it's because of Christine and Janelle. Huh. I mean, I guess
- 50:32that would make sense, right. You don't really want to be around a
- 50:35narcissistic does it matter? It doesn't really change for me, Like, tell
- 50:38those women you better get your happy assets in this seat in a group setting.
- 50:45And if you don't, you are not going to be able to get
- 50:47paid for the full season, or you won't be getting paid for the reunion,
- 50:51or you won't be getting paid at all. And so if you want
- 50:52to continue to be famous, and if you want to continue to get this
- 50:55pay check, baby, put your ass in the seat wit for the audience.
- 51:00Yeah, if the housewives can touch it, if ninety dight fiance fuckers
- 51:04can do it, Yes, if every other reality show can do it,
- 51:07Why can't, sister, Why can't? Why do they have so much power
- 51:12to control the format and the setting. It's really annoying because all of the
- 51:16comments online are people bitching to TLC and to Suki and being like, why
- 51:22why can't we just have you guys all in the same room defending what has
- 51:27been what is being said because Cody and Robin are blatantly lying. They're just
- 51:30lying. It's just ridiculous, and Suki's believing it and then telling it to
- 51:35the it's just tod Yeah, that's the other thing with this fucking tell all.
- 51:38We were talking about it when we were watching it, like, can
- 51:40Suki just act like she's seen the show or get somebody who's as interested as
- 51:45the audience writing the show and who's been watching the show and knows the dynamics
- 51:50of the family, who can sit down and call the shit out when it's
- 51:52being said. Yeah, Like I don't understand. So, I mean,
- 51:55she seems like a perfectly delightful person. Yeah, she seems like she has
- 51:59a kind spirit. But she is the wrong interviewer for this show, way
- 52:04too fucking soft. Because Cody is a decepticon. He is a narcissist.
- 52:08I think he's an abuser in my opinion, He's definitely an emotionally and verbal
- 52:14abuser. And this whole family is falling apart, Like you need to have
- 52:17somebody, maybe even clinically skilled in there to sit at some dumb journalists who
- 52:22doesn't ever watch the show and he's only going to softball the entire time.
- 52:27Get a clinician in there, like Yama Van Sant who can hold them their
- 52:30feet to the fire, put them all in the room and work a process.
- 52:34That's the shit we want to see. That would be riveting television.
- 52:37And let me ask you this meal drill so in terms of ratings, because
- 52:42I have no idea, I don't follow any of that, but like,
- 52:45how much, like is ninety Day Fiance way more popular in terms of ratings
- 52:51than TLC? I mean not TLC, but Sister Wives or his Sister Wives
- 52:54on par with ninety Day Fiance? I don't know, Like, I don't
- 52:57know in terms of the numbers. I mean, it seems Sister Wives has
- 53:00had a lot of people watching, Like there's people that I know that I
- 53:05follow, like on Instagram that are watching Sister Wives for this season because they're
- 53:08watching it all fall apart, but they haven't watched all the seasons, right,
- 53:13So it's like one of those weird things, like ninety Day Fiance has
- 53:15more of a solid fan base in terms of people who've seen every fucking season.
- 53:20We know all of the characters, we've been around for a long time,
- 53:22But Sister Wives kind of has people that kind of come and go as
- 53:27the popularity waxes and wings. But I don't know, It's just it seems
- 53:30like TLC. If you know how bad the Tellaws were last year, everybody
- 53:35was talking about it, like you could not lead everybody. It's on your
- 53:37Instagram, it was everywhere. It's all over Suki's Instagram, it's all over
- 53:42Twitter, Like, why we've changed likes it? Why wouldn't you have at
- 53:45the very least, we could have had codyum Robin in the same room together,
- 53:50and then the three Og wives in the same room together. If the
- 53:52three Ogs wanted to be separated from Cody and Robin, I can understand that.
- 53:55But why couldn't we have had just two groups of people all in one
- 53:59room, like we didn't have to have five fucking one on one. No,
- 54:04And it must be like such a nightmare headache to try and organize what
- 54:07this person just said. So now I'm going to go back to Cody Brown
- 54:10so he can answer what this person just said and then edit that all together.
- 54:14Whereas if you just had them all in the same room having an organic
- 54:16conversation, you wouldn't have to fuck around with that. Yes, I've just
- 54:21I'm incensed. Oh yeah, because even watching it is hard. Yeah,
- 54:23like you're going back and forth between all of these different perspectives. And like,
- 54:28I'll give Suki some credit here because having to interview all of these people
- 54:31people for six hours, to have to cobble all of this shit together and
- 54:36then remember what everybody has said to also provide follow up questions like that would
- 54:40be so frustrating. So I'll give her props to that. I don't think
- 54:45it's necessarily her fault in terms of the interview process, because this is what
- 54:50she's been given, right, but TLC, fuck you right. Well,
- 54:53but she's not like creating. She's not coming up with the questions herself.
- 54:57She's being given the questions and the prompts and they're organizing it behind the scenes,
- 55:00giving her her cue cards, and she's asking the questions on the cards.
- 55:04Yeah, so it's not like she's finessing it like expertly in order to
- 55:08get the answers. This is what I think where I can give Suki some
- 55:14props is that you have got to massage a narcissist, right, You have
- 55:20got to be able to appeal, like, let them think that they're the
- 55:24ones that're controlling the situation, controlling the conversation. When you challenge them,
- 55:30you have to do it in a really careful way. And she is trying
- 55:32to. Yeah, I can see that she's trying to, and so I
- 55:36imagine that that takes a lot of That takes a lot of skill to be
- 55:39able to do that. Yeah, totally. But to what end? All
- 55:43Right, just here to massage Cody Brown's eco and let him feel all puffed
- 55:47up again like he's had his say and he's been able to abuse his wives
- 55:51and his kids one more time. Is that what we're platforming and facilitating?
- 55:54TLC. Yeah, he's a weak and inefficient man. Oh, he doesn't
- 55:59get done and who can't keep his family together. Put him in the middle
- 56:02of his family. Let's bring in Gabe and Garrison, my guy Gary,
- 56:07and bring in the other kids. Let's get some Maddie in there, Let's
- 56:09get some Leon, and let's have him talk to his children. That would
- 56:13be so fucking choice, can you imagine? Oh? I would love to
- 56:16see one on one with the kids, Like, if we're going to bring
- 56:19on David Woolley in later episodes of this, why couldn't we have brought on
- 56:22Gabe and Garrison and hear how they feel, yeah about all of this shit
- 56:25and hearing their dad say, well, they have to choose between Robin and
- 56:29I. Well, mayn't say real because there were some pivotal moments this season
- 56:34with the you know, with Garrison saying Robin can have him, yeah,
- 56:38things of that nature. So maybe we'll see some of the kids, but
- 56:40like it could just be done in such a better way that honors the audience
- 56:45members that have stuck with you all of these seasons. It's like you're giving
- 56:50them the fucking two middle fingers straight up into the air, like you don't
- 56:52give a shit. Oh yeah, and that's what makes me mad. Like
- 56:55I sit down and I watch this, and obviously we have some fun.
- 57:00We have more fun on other shows because this is really very dark. Yeah,
- 57:02but it is hard for me to then kind of get on a pod
- 57:06and try to be level headed and not turbocynical, yeah, and just negative
- 57:12the whole time, which is not fun for me or for you. Like
- 57:15I'm trying to find some of the levity in it, but it is really
- 57:17hard and it's heavy. A lot of this is because of the way production
- 57:21is handling it and the power production is giving to these people. Oh yeah,
- 57:25for sure. And it started to the beginning of this season when they
- 57:30didn't allow the episodes to be aired on Discovery Plus like at an early time
- 57:35because they were last year. It's like the whole network is just doing this
- 57:37and milking the cash cow, giving us fucking bullshit footage from season seventeen for
- 57:44season eighteen rather than give us new content to actually talk about and everything.
- 57:50It's like just over and over and over again, Like, what's season nineteen
- 57:52going to be the same fucking footage from twenty twenty two? Yes, are
- 57:57we gonna see shit from two years ago, because that's what we get.
- 58:00I think we're going to see Christine's love journey with David Woolly, and we're
- 58:04gonna see Cody flailing about and discontinued contempt for Janelle. And hopefully we get
- 58:08some more information from Mary because if this episode of The tell All is any
- 58:14indication like she's going to be contributing absolutely nothing. Yeah, she's contributing apps,
- 58:19She's like had maybe two seconds, I know, two seconds of like
- 58:22feedback and last year too, So come I would actually really like to hear
- 58:27way more from Mary. Yes, I think she has a lot to say,
- 58:30but maybe she's holding it close to her chest so she can monetize it,
- 58:31write a book and then make a lot of money, which you know,
- 58:35if I were her, that is exactly what I would do, honey,
- 58:37for sure. But like, actually spill the tea in your book?
- 58:38Right? Please? Yes? Well, is there anything else that we want
- 58:45to say about this particular episode? I was disenchant disenchanted, I was disappointed.
- 58:52Back to Ethel, I can see what she's talking about. I think
- 58:57we have a softer, more maybe produced Robin Brown then previously. I think
- 59:04she knows and she is now acting in accordance with how everybody sees her to
- 59:08be. I also think she's probably smarter than Cody. I think she does
- 59:13have the ability to see herself more accurately than Cody does, because he sees
- 59:16himself as a physical specimen with PEX right, she sees that he's a tool.
- 59:21Yeah, she can see that, and she can probably see how everybody's
- 59:22seeing her, and so she's trying and it's a little softer, it's a
- 59:25little better, but I still don't believe her. Yeah, I don't believe
- 59:29her entirely. I do think Ethel's right though, like we said about how
- 59:34she wanted to be the queen Bee, not the only one left. So
- 59:37maybe there is some of that genuine emotion from like absolutely the crying on Coyote
- 59:40Pass last episode. We talked about it last episode, like she probably does
- 59:45feel sad that the family's broken up, but at the same time still not
- 59:49taking the ownership for everything that she did to make that happen. But it's
- 59:54interesting to kind of see her be a little bit more human and not as
- 1:00:00puppet mastery. I was going to ask if you think that their marriage is
- 1:00:06in trouble, because she's kind of said a couple things like in this season
- 1:00:12where she's like, well, I don't know, like Cody and I have
- 1:00:14had a hard time, or like he's always angry all the time and he
- 1:00:16picks fights with me and tries to sabotage our relationship. And she made that
- 1:00:21joke on Coyote Pass saying like, well, what if we don't end up
- 1:00:23together? He did not laugh, He did not laugh at that. At
- 1:00:27all. I was wondering whether she's made that joke before, or whether she's
- 1:00:30made that statement before, which is why he took it so seriously, Because
- 1:00:34if I said a joke like that abound my husband, he would think that
- 1:00:37was a joke. Oh yeah, because it's not possible, right, But
- 1:00:39Cody didn't react that way. I can see a world where their marriage doesn't
- 1:00:45survive this. I especially think that's true. If the money goes away for
- 1:00:51Robin, that would be so amazing. Yes, I mean, I don't
- 1:00:54want to wish the downfall of anybody. We shouldn't karmically that's bad. Yeah,
- 1:00:59it's not good. But you are going to reap, which is sew.
- 1:01:01Yeah, and there's been a lot of a lot of sewing going on
- 1:01:06with Robin and Cody. So I just want to be there for the reaping.
- 1:01:08Is that too much to me? Yeah? You know, I just
- 1:01:09want to see what happens. That's absolutely well. There are three more installments.
- 1:01:15I can't even I can't even begin to guess. What the fuck we
- 1:01:20have three more hours to discuss? What full scenes are they going to make
- 1:01:22us rewatch in the next day, Watch them as they're watching it after they've
- 1:01:27already watched it, just as we've watched it, Like I can't even begin
- 1:01:30to imagine what it's going to be like, but we will be here to
- 1:01:31cover it. You have every single one just for you. Sure, we
- 1:01:36will also be here later this week to talk to catch up with Welcome to
- 1:01:39Plathville and also ninety Day Fiance. So if you guys don't follow us for
- 1:01:44that, you actually really should, because again I say, Welcome to Platful
- 1:01:47is a way better show at this point. I don't think it gets nearly
- 1:01:51as many people watching, but like it's so like Sister Wives or the vibe
- 1:01:54of Sister Wives, you should probably be giving that a chance. Yeah,
- 1:01:58and then of course there's ninety Day Fiance, which is trash bag train wreck
- 1:02:02of ghouls and goblins. Baby, we love it so good, so definitely
- 1:02:07return for that. But until then, is there anything else that we need
- 1:02:12to say to these beautiful records Beatrice, Well, if you love our podcast,
- 1:02:15it's sure hope that you give us a glowing five star review on your
- 1:02:20favorite podcast platform. It really helps us grow, So thank you so much,
- 1:02:23And until the next time we see you, don't forget that we love
- 1:02:25you and pees oh
