- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30Today is all about mental attitudes versus mental
- 0:34capacities. So your mental capacity has
- 0:39absolutely nothing to do with your mental attitude and vice
- 0:42versa. Mental attitudes obviously are
- 0:46all about mindset. Mental capacities are all about
- 0:50what you can learn, not what you have learned, but what you can
- 0:53learn. Your capacity and sometimes we
- 0:56get very confused between the two of these.
- 0:58And you know, obviously I, I am a firm believer, I am a 100%
- 1:03firm believer that you should always be learning something,
- 1:07always be learning something, doesn't matter what it is.
- 1:10But if you're always learning something, you're inviting a
- 1:13different energy into your body and you're increasing your
- 1:15mental capacities all the time. You're talking about the fact
- 1:19that you're pushing your brain to be able to grow.
- 1:22So you're keeping your neuroplasticity, you're pushing
- 1:25the edge of the volume on that. And that's what's so important.
- 1:29The capacities for it actually diminish when you don't use it,
- 1:33which is what's so funny about it.
- 1:35And we all know, like I, I have a lot of clients who are
- 1:38Realtors. And what's funny about that is
- 1:41they'll often talk about the fact that a house was not lived
- 1:44in. And one would think that if the
- 1:46house was not lived in, it would be pristine.
- 1:49But you know what happens? The house actually starts to
- 1:51fall apart. The house actually starts to
- 1:53suffer from neglect. Now, the people that lived in
- 1:56the house might not do anything with it.
- 1:58They might not be doing anything at all with it.
- 2:00But all of a sudden, a house that doesn't have energy in it,
- 2:03it starts to just diminish and it starts to fall apart.
- 2:08Well, guess what? That's what actually happens to
- 2:10your mental capacities if you are not pushing yourself with
- 2:14them all the time. Nothing is more important than
- 2:17learning new things. Because when you do that, it
- 2:21comes with a whole different energy.
- 2:22It comes with a whole different understanding.
- 2:24It comes with just, I mean, to me, it's just grand outcomes.
- 2:27If you can't tell, I'm always very excited about learning new
- 2:29things and it doesn't matter what it is.
- 2:32It's why I paint. It's why I this year I'm taking
- 2:35on fermenting things differently kombuchas and working towards
- 2:39making bread. Sounds so silly, but bread.
- 2:42Bread is a science. Well, once I finish this whole
- 2:4430, then I can make bread right now.
- 2:47No, none of that. So the point is you have, you
- 2:52have to realize that the capacities that you're looking
- 2:55for come with a push. So first part of this is push,
- 2:59push, push yourself. Learn something new.
- 3:02I had a client recently who took, I recommended a book to
- 3:05and he said to me, boy, this book is hard for me to read.
- 3:08I'm not enjoying it. And I said, if it's hard for you
- 3:10to read, that's the exact reason you should be reading it,
- 3:13because you want to push yourself.
- 3:15It doesn't matter if you don't understand it.
- 3:17There have been plenty of times, Neville Goddard, one of my most
- 3:20favorite mentors out there, read his books and you will your
- 3:23brain will hurt. Your head actually hurts from
- 3:27reading the stuff this guy wrote.
- 3:29It's just incredibly deep and you have to pause and really be
- 3:33present with it. But that push, that shove is
- 3:37there. I I will read it and then I will
- 3:40say I have no clue what I just read and I will go back and
- 3:42reread it and I will do that. Over and over and over and over
- 3:45and over and over and over. I have spent years just reading
- 3:48Neville, nothing else because I didn't.
- 3:51I didn't grasp it the way I knew it should be.
- 3:53And even to this day, I will still go back and read and
- 3:56listen to his books because I know I missed things and I push
- 4:01my mental capacities. So it's learning new things that
- 4:03are easier, learning new things that are harder, pushing
- 4:06yourself in into being a better person.
- 4:09First part of that. Now mental attitudes, well,
- 4:12that's all about the mindset piece.
- 4:13And we talk about that all the time.
- 4:15But your mindset is so critical to everything that you do.
- 4:20Every single thing that you do has to be run through the
- 4:24filters of what you decide is right you, what you decide.
- 4:28And you have to realize that the more you decide that you're
- 4:32going to have a positive attitude, the more that you
- 4:34decide you're going to be the person that is focused and happy
- 4:39and joyous and grateful and have that good attitude, the more
- 4:43great things are going to come to you.
- 4:44And the more you're going to be able to put yourself into the
- 4:49place of receiving them because you have that great attitude.
- 4:53It is fundamental, my friends, fundamental.
- 4:56So if you really want to make the biggest shift in your life,
- 5:00you have to recognize that the two things, the mental attitude
- 5:03versus the mental capacities, yes, they're two completely
- 5:07different things and you need them both.
- 5:10You need to constantly be pushing that neuroplasticity.
- 5:14You need to constantly be pushing yourself so that you can
- 5:19attain what you're looking for. So I hope you have a blessed
- 5:23day. Go learn something fabulous
- 5:24today and have a great attitude about it and I will see you all
- 5:27tomorrow. Bye.
