- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with iHeartRadio. Hey everybody,
- 0:05Speaker 1: and welcome back. It's Trista and this is part two
- 0:09Speaker 1: of my little chat all about one of my favorite
- 0:13Speaker 1: days ever, my wedding day. Ryan, my amazing husband, is
- 0:18Speaker 1: going to be joining me today as well as a
- 0:20Speaker 1: very special guest, so I hope you tune in. Okay,
- 0:27Speaker 1: So my next guest I don't think needs any introduction,
- 0:33Speaker 1: but I will introduce him. Nonetheless, he was the one
- 0:36Speaker 1: who was there with me, threw it all from the engagement,
- 0:40Speaker 1: well actually even before the engagement, to the engagement, to
- 0:43Speaker 1: the planning, to the wedding, to the honeymoon to the
- 0:47Speaker 1: last twenty years. He is my best friend, my soulmate,
- 0:53Speaker 1: and my husband for twenty years. Almost crazy. Anyway, let's
- 0:59Speaker 1: bring in Ryan. Welcome to the show again. Thanks for
- 1:02Speaker 1: coming on and talking about the wedding. I mean, I
- 1:05Speaker 1: was just talking to Sarah and she asked if we
- 1:10Speaker 1: ever watch the if we watch it back on our anniversary,
- 1:15Speaker 1: because I think they watch their video every year, and
- 1:18Speaker 1: I was like, no, I don't think it's really Ryan's
- 1:23Speaker 1: cuppe Titi to watch that back, although maybe maybe we
- 1:27Speaker 1: should now that we have it now that we have
- 1:31Speaker 1: a link to it, would you watch it again with
- 1:33Speaker 1: me sometime?
- 1:36Speaker 2: Yeah? I would. I would definitely watch the wedding again
- 1:38Speaker 2: for sure.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Yeah, fure. I mean, it was such a fun weekend.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I loved watching it back, just remembering all the little
- 1:49Speaker 1: things that I've kind of forgotten since then. What is
- 1:53Speaker 1: one of the favorite memories for you?
- 1:57Speaker 2: I don't know. I was trying to think that too,
- 2:00Speaker 2: as you've been sort of reviewing it, and I honestly
- 2:03Speaker 2: don't remember very much about it. And I know, I
- 2:07Speaker 2: kind of remember the lead up to it and the
- 2:11Speaker 2: debate as to whether or not we were going to
- 2:13Speaker 2: do it on television and sort of those conversations, and
- 2:17Speaker 2: then I remember the overall impression afterwards when everybody was
- 2:22Speaker 2: kind of leaving, and how fun it turned out. I
- 2:26Speaker 2: think the obvious things that stick out for me, or
- 2:30Speaker 2: you know, trying to make the Brad Paisley thing work out,
- 2:32Speaker 2: and in the midst of you know, you were changing
- 2:36Speaker 2: dresses and there were the photography was going on, and
- 2:39Speaker 2: then Brad had an actual concert he had to get to,
- 2:43Speaker 2: so he had a time frame, and so trying to
- 2:46Speaker 2: hurry that process along without giving it away. I remember
- 2:52Speaker 2: obviously you know, just how well done it was esthetically
- 2:57Speaker 2: with all of the flowers and stuff. You know, you
- 3:01Speaker 2: always remember the helicopter sort of influence there and those
- 3:05Speaker 2: being around. But I can still sort of picture when
- 3:10Speaker 2: you were at the top of the stairs and I
- 3:12Speaker 2: was waiting for you there, and kind of the front
- 3:15Speaker 2: row with our immediate family, and those sorts of images
- 3:20Speaker 2: are still in my mind. But a lot of the
- 3:22Speaker 2: other stuff, I just you know, it just was such
- 3:26Speaker 2: a whirlwind, and you're always kind of bouncing back and forth.
- 3:32Speaker 2: So it's weird. It's weird. Do you remember. I remember
- 3:33Speaker 2: sort of wishing I wouldn't have gotten a haircut, like
- 3:35Speaker 2: sort of weird, Oh my god.
- 3:39Speaker 1: You're like, oh, why don't I just get my haircut
- 3:41Speaker 1: right before?
- 3:42Speaker 2: Yeah, So like just little stuff. But yeah, it's it's
- 3:47Speaker 2: hard for me to remember a lot of the details,
- 3:50Speaker 2: do you Well.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Actually, I want to go back to the Brad Paisley
- 3:54Speaker 1: with thing because that was I mean, there's so many
- 3:59Speaker 1: great moments for me for that the entire weekend, but
- 4:04Speaker 1: the Brad Paisley moment, as you know, I love surprises.
- 4:08Speaker 1: And for those of you who don't know the backstory,
- 4:12Speaker 1: Ryan had given me a poem on our first one
- 4:15Speaker 1: on one date at SeaWorld. Well that was called something
- 4:18Speaker 1: about Her and he had it made so Rick Cowling,
- 4:22Speaker 1: the Rick Calling Band, was the band that was at
- 4:24Speaker 1: our wedding, and he worked with Sadler, one of our
- 4:28Speaker 1: close friends and our manager at the time, to get
- 4:31Speaker 1: in touch with Rick Calling. Rick Calling made the poem
- 4:35Speaker 1: into a song, so he put it to music. And
- 4:38Speaker 1: then you contacted Brad Paisley because I had been in
- 4:42Speaker 1: a Brad Paisley video and asked if he were to
- 4:44Speaker 1: record it right and be there And so I didn't
- 4:48Speaker 1: know any of this was going on. And we are
- 4:51Speaker 1: the ceremony is done. We are taking pictures that I
- 4:54Speaker 1: have waited forever to take, right. I mean, I want
- 4:58Speaker 1: these pictures, you know, I love pictures. And I'm like,
- 5:01Speaker 1: we are going to get really good pictures. And Ryan
- 5:05Speaker 1: is like, okay, can we be done? Okay? Can we
- 5:07Speaker 1: be done? Okay? Can we be done? And I'm like,
- 5:09Speaker 1: would you stop rushing me? We are taking pictures. These
- 5:14Speaker 1: are gonna be what I look back on for the
- 5:16Speaker 1: rest of my life. I need this moment, and so
- 5:19Speaker 1: I'm like, stop rushing me. So I'm in the ceremony
- 5:23Speaker 1: dress and then I have to get changed into the
- 5:25Speaker 1: other dress. And you could just tell Ryan is like
- 5:28Speaker 1: pacing back and forth like so stressed out, and I'm like,
- 5:31Speaker 1: what is his problem? Like, calm down, we just got married,
- 5:36Speaker 1: like we're supposed to be enjoying this little do I
- 5:38Speaker 1: know that Brad Paisley has a hard out, like he
- 5:42Speaker 1: has to be right. He had to be out by
- 5:45Speaker 1: a certain time or he wasn't going to be able
- 5:48Speaker 1: to sing the song for our first dance at all.
- 5:51Speaker 1: So Ryan's like, oh my god, would you please get
- 5:53Speaker 1: your stupid dress on? But it was the best moment
- 6:00Speaker 1: it ever to walk into that room after I had
- 6:04Speaker 1: my reception dress dress on and Brad is sitting there
- 6:07Speaker 1: and he serenades us with not only a Brad Paisley song,
- 6:12Speaker 1: he did record it, it is on iTunes, but with
- 6:16Speaker 1: the song that had such sentimental value and was a
- 6:22Speaker 1: poem that you wrote for me, Like, it was just
- 6:27Speaker 1: the best surprise. It will go down as one of
- 6:30Speaker 1: the best moments of my life. So thank you for that.
- 6:37Speaker 2: It was. It was like a great moment for me. Also, yeah, Glad,
- 6:41Speaker 2: Glad pulled it off. Mindy Wise helped a ton two
- 6:44Speaker 2: sheet was instrumental in getting Rick to write the song.
- 6:49Speaker 2: And then you know Rick had to also he was
- 6:51Speaker 2: super generous and he had to agree to that Brad
- 6:56Speaker 2: also see it, and so there was a lot that
- 6:59Speaker 2: had to happen behind the scenes that people helped me out.
- 7:01Speaker 1: So it was good to It's so I'm so thankful
- 7:05Speaker 1: to all of those people, everybody, Rick calling, Brad, Paisley,
- 7:08Speaker 1: Mindy Wei, Sadler, anyone else who Chris Marcy probably he
- 7:13Speaker 1: helped a little bit, Brad's manager at the time. I
- 7:18Speaker 1: don't know even his wife who asked me to be
- 7:22Speaker 1: on her show and introduced me to Brad. Like all
- 7:24Speaker 1: of those had had to kind of happen. But anyway,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I just love that moment. But we were going to
- 7:32Speaker 1: go into after you were sharing that stuff. I was
- 7:35Speaker 1: going to ask you if there was anything that you
- 7:37Speaker 1: did regret, like would you thinking back on it? And
- 7:43Speaker 1: you know, we did have a lot of fights about
- 7:47Speaker 1: the actual like whether or not we were going to
- 7:49Speaker 1: do it on television, whether Charlie was going to be there,
- 7:56Speaker 1: which watching that it's just like so range, like, yeah,
- 8:01Speaker 1: so weird. I mean, love for Charlie. You know, like
- 8:05Speaker 1: he was just there kind of doing a job. But
- 8:09Speaker 1: how awkward was that for you to have him there
- 8:12Speaker 1: in the room.
- 8:13Speaker 2: I mean I.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Literally laughed out loud watching it. The fact that Charlie's like,
- 8:19Speaker 1: let's listen in like as your dad's giving you like
- 8:23Speaker 1: it's mirroble speech, so strange.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I think there were like the options were either like
- 8:32Speaker 2: to have Charlie do it, or there was some other
- 8:34Speaker 2: option that was it.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Was they would the cameras were going to be in
- 8:38Speaker 1: our faces twenty four to seven. That was the option.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Yeah, So I think for me, once we agreed to
- 8:44Speaker 2: do the wedding on television, I feel like internally I
- 8:49Speaker 2: just had to surrender to the process. And yeah, that
- 8:54Speaker 2: might be one regret is and I think it turned
- 8:58Speaker 2: out really well. Yeah, and Mindy did an awesome job,
- 9:02Speaker 2: but it was it was there were a lot of
- 9:05Speaker 2: things that were beyond our control, and thank goodness, we
- 9:08Speaker 2: were able to get it where we got it, and
- 9:10Speaker 2: not like I think originally they were going to try
- 9:12Speaker 2: to do it all of America or something like super.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Commercial and oh my gosh, I don't even remember, so
- 9:16Speaker 1: we were did we talk about doing it mall of America?
- 9:19Speaker 2: When it was still just Warner Brothers doing it, But
- 9:22Speaker 2: then Baille Resorts kind of stepped in and Adam Ahern
- 9:25Speaker 2: offered up their property, and so that that part worked
- 9:30Speaker 2: out well. In hindsight, you sort of we were just
- 9:34Speaker 2: so naive coming out of the process and like, these
- 9:36Speaker 2: are stupid, superficial considerations. But I feel like we probably
- 9:42Speaker 2: could have negotiated a little bit more out of it
- 9:44Speaker 2: than for what we gave up and for what it
- 9:50Speaker 2: turned out to be. But I think ultimately we both
- 9:54Speaker 2: just decided that we were gonna we were just going
- 9:57Speaker 2: to go with the flow and see how it all
- 10:00Speaker 2: turned out. And I wouldn't go back and change anything,
- 10:04Speaker 2: knowing where we are now, and I would be afraid
- 10:07Speaker 2: that if we did something different that maybe everything wouldn't
- 10:11Speaker 2: have turned out as well as it has for us.
- 10:14Speaker 2: And so it's one moment in time in our relationship.
- 10:18Speaker 2: I think everybody that was their friends and family had
- 10:22Speaker 2: a great time at the world at the time was
- 10:26Speaker 2: a different place, and people tuned in to watch it
- 10:30Speaker 2: for whatever reason, and I think we still still hear
- 10:35Speaker 2: kind of cool stories about people's experiences way back then
- 10:38Speaker 2: and who they shared time with watching the show, and
- 10:42Speaker 2: so all of that stuff has been really rewarding, you know,
- 10:47Speaker 2: for all we really did was just get married on television,
- 10:50Speaker 2: and it had a pretty big impact on not only us,
- 10:54Speaker 2: but on a lot of people. So I really don't
- 10:56Speaker 2: have any major regrets.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Yeah, the one regret I do have is that, you know,
- 11:04Speaker 1: we didn't have any hands in kind of planning this
- 11:08Speaker 1: part of it. But the fact that our immediate family
- 11:12Speaker 1: was in the front row and they didn't have like
- 11:15Speaker 1: for every row there was a speaker so that people
- 11:19Speaker 1: we had mics on so that people at the ceremony
- 11:22Speaker 1: could actually hear us because the helicopters were really loud,
- 11:25Speaker 1: but our immediate family couldn't hear us because they didn't have,
- 11:31Speaker 1: you know, a a speaker in front of them, so
- 11:35Speaker 1: they couldn't hear. So like hindsight again twenty twenty, like
- 11:40Speaker 1: if we had done it inside, then you know, everyone
- 11:43Speaker 1: could actually have been a part. But it was such
- 11:47Speaker 1: a beautiful setting. I mean, those that gazebo or orchway
- 11:52Speaker 1: or whatever you call it, and all of the flowers
- 11:55Speaker 1: that Mark's Garden brought in and just what Mindy did
- 11:59Speaker 1: with the setting was just stunning. So you know, I
- 12:05Speaker 1: mean weighing things, but I really do wish that our
- 12:08Speaker 1: family could have actually heard what we were saying and
- 12:12Speaker 1: didn't have to watch it on television afterwards. But at
- 12:14Speaker 1: least they could I guess. Yeah, yeah, Well, thanks for
- 12:20Speaker 1: coming on and sharing your thoughts. I actually get to
- 12:22Speaker 1: talk to Mindy next.
- 12:24Speaker 2: I'm sous.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Oh boy, actually I want you to. I want you
- 12:29Speaker 1: to tell everyone what Mindy did, Like, how how much
- 12:33Speaker 1: do we love Mindy Weiss? I mean she made you
- 12:36Speaker 1: feel because I was obviously, you know, all in it
- 12:41Speaker 1: with her. It was like my dream come true to
- 12:43Speaker 1: work with her, but you kind of were keeping yourself
- 12:47Speaker 1: at a distance because it wasn't really your thing, and
- 12:50Speaker 1: you thank you were letting me kind of, you know,
- 12:52Speaker 1: have my moment. But she came in and tell them what?
- 12:57Speaker 1: Tell everyone how she made you feel comfortable?
- 13:01Speaker 2: Well, I mean, clearly, Mindy has done this before, and
- 13:04Speaker 2: she knows she had done enough a lot of researching
- 13:09Speaker 2: to tend to both of us to know who I
- 13:12Speaker 2: was and what my personality was like, and what your
- 13:15Speaker 2: personality was like, and what you know, who was probably
- 13:18Speaker 2: going to be more excited about being super hands on
- 13:21Speaker 2: and who was probably going to be less excited about it,
- 13:23Speaker 2: and so she got into I think we had like
- 13:27Speaker 2: it was like a car service or something that we
- 13:31Speaker 2: had had gotten. And she got in and handed me
- 13:34Speaker 2: a sketchbook with some colored pencils and a game boy
- 13:38Speaker 2: and lots of stuff to sort of occupy my time,
- 13:41Speaker 2: so that while you guys were picking out flowers and
- 13:44Speaker 2: colors and things that were in your realm, I was
- 13:48Speaker 2: able to occupy my time and wasn't super bored with him.
- 13:52Speaker 2: She was great throughout the whole thing. She included me
- 13:54Speaker 2: in the things like the cake tasting and the food
- 13:57Speaker 2: and that sort of stuff, and then she let me
- 14:00Speaker 2: sort of sit out on a lot of the other
- 14:02Speaker 2: stuff that was really more between you and her. So
- 14:05Speaker 2: she was She made it. She made it super easy,
- 14:08Speaker 2: and I think without her it would have been not
- 14:12Speaker 2: only as great a production and as great a wedding,
- 14:14Speaker 2: but it just would have been a little less enjoyable. Yeah,
- 14:18Speaker 2: I agree.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I just told Stephanie Leidecker. I got to talk to Stephanie,
- 14:24Speaker 1: and I told her, she's just like your favorite aunt,
- 14:29Speaker 1: you know, like she makes you feel like family, like
- 14:33Speaker 1: you're welcome, and and she listens like she wants it
- 14:38Speaker 1: to be your day. She just makes you feel heard
- 14:44Speaker 1: and seen, and I think that is such a valuable
- 14:49Speaker 1: skill if you will. It's just part of who she is.
- 14:53Speaker 1: It's not like she really even tries too hard. She
- 14:56Speaker 1: just that's who she is. She just is such an
- 14:59Speaker 1: incredible hugage. Yeah. So anyway, I get to talk to Mindy.
- 15:03Speaker 1: If you want to pop in and say hi, you can.
- 15:05Speaker 1: But thanks for coming on and sharing your thoughts and
- 15:08Speaker 1: going back to uh twenty years ago with me.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll see you, uh when we cross paths in
- 15:14Speaker 2: the house.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I'll see you downstairs. Okay, love you? Ah, Hello friend, Hi, Hi,
- 15:34Speaker 1: how are you Mindy Wise? My favorite girl?
- 15:38Speaker 3: I know you too. I don't even do this, but
- 15:40Speaker 3: when I heard it was you, I went oh, I
- 15:42Speaker 3: can't say no.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Wow, Yeah, I love you so much.
- 15:46Speaker 3: How is why? I'm the same buddy.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Still going bame same and same is good because your
- 15:54Speaker 1: best so thame is good. Okay, So I have this
- 15:58Speaker 1: new podcast it's called The Almost Famous OG's and we're
- 16:02Speaker 1: dedicating an episode to the wedding, and so obviously I
- 16:07Speaker 1: had to talk to you.
- 16:09Speaker 3: I mean, you still talk about that wedding?
- 16:14Speaker 1: Do they like when they come to meetings. Do people
- 16:17Speaker 1: mention it.
- 16:18Speaker 3: If they're big fans of the show, like I Made
- 16:22Speaker 3: Love Crazy? Yeah, it's really I mean.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Because you remember. Well maybe you don't, but I remember
- 16:28Speaker 1: walking into your office and I had my old my
- 16:30Speaker 1: old book my my friend.
- 16:32Speaker 3: I remember, and we were sitting over on the couch.
- 16:36Speaker 3: I remember the whole thing.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Yes, And I remember back in that day there was
- 16:42Speaker 1: no social media, so I had everything pulled for magazines,
- 16:46Speaker 1: you know, all the pages were ripped out, showing you
- 16:48Speaker 1: what I liked. Do people how do people show up
- 16:51Speaker 1: now as brides or like birthday girls or whatever they do?
- 16:57Speaker 1: They have like a they just show you social medi
- 17:00Speaker 1: links or how do they do it?
- 17:01Speaker 3: They show up with their computers, they have a power
- 17:05Speaker 3: point presentation, They show me a Pinterest and they say,
- 17:10Speaker 3: you know, I like all of this, but I want
- 17:12Speaker 3: it to be different. Yes, why are you showing me
- 17:17Speaker 3: a Pinterest babe? You know, but if you remember me,
- 17:21Speaker 3: I do. I do what people want and I make
- 17:24Speaker 3: suggestions because I like to make everything a little bit different.
- 17:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:30Speaker 3: So, but very organized because of social media. And you know,
- 17:36Speaker 3: it's a little bit too much because when you're bringing
- 17:39Speaker 3: magazine pages there were only so many magazines, you know,
- 17:44Speaker 3: but with Pinterests and all the blogs and all the
- 17:49Speaker 3: Instagrammers and oh my god, it goes on forever. And
- 17:53Speaker 3: then the next week it's a whole new look because
- 17:55Speaker 3: the weekend came and they saw another wedding they loved with.
- 18:00Speaker 1: The little new I bet okay, So what's your favorite
- 18:04Speaker 1: thing to plan?
- 18:05Speaker 2: These days?
- 18:07Speaker 1: Obviously you do all of them. And I've been watching
- 18:10Speaker 1: the Kardashians really especially, and oh my gosh, all of
- 18:14Speaker 1: their parties are so amazing. So what's your favorite thing
- 18:17Speaker 1: to do?
- 18:18Speaker 3: Just you know, they they those are all their ideas,
- 18:22Speaker 3: like they are very very artistic and creative, and oh
- 18:28Speaker 3: they're prepared for our meetings. They really are prepared. I
- 18:32Speaker 3: don't think people realize that. But the truth is that
- 18:37Speaker 3: I'd rather do birthday parties, kids parties, shows because it's
- 18:44Speaker 3: just not as emotional, you know, yeah right when it
- 18:48Speaker 3: and it doesn't take a year. It was so funny,
- 18:52Speaker 3: and you know this about me. I went to a
- 18:54Speaker 3: meeting at someone's house on Tuesday and their kid's birthday
- 18:59Speaker 3: party was sad and they were out of town and
- 19:02Speaker 3: didn't have time, and she was panicking and I said
- 19:05Speaker 3: to her. And I didn't know her completely well yet.
- 19:09Speaker 3: I mean, I know her, but I didn't know where
- 19:11Speaker 3: I go. I would have started today anyway.
- 19:14Speaker 1: So don't you anything to make people feel good? I mean, honestly,
- 19:21Speaker 1: I remember or or like not stress. I will never
- 19:25Speaker 1: forget when we were in the limo and you handed
- 19:28Speaker 1: Ryan the like the folder of all of his stuff
- 19:32Speaker 1: and gave him a game boy and like cards just
- 19:36Speaker 1: to make him feel good. Yes, I think that's what
- 19:39Speaker 1: sets you apart, Like you're not just about hope.
- 19:42Speaker 3: So I hope you because people think I'm something I'm not,
- 19:47Speaker 3: do you know what I mean? Like before they meet
- 19:49Speaker 3: me there, they come in and I think they think
- 19:52Speaker 3: I'm gonna have a headset or something. And sometimes I
- 19:56Speaker 3: come in sweats and one time I'm running in because
- 20:00Speaker 3: sometimes I'm late, and the mother and father go, we're
- 20:04Speaker 3: waiting for Mindy. I go, oh, well, here, I ask.
- 20:10Speaker 3: So I really think there's a lot of smoke and
- 20:12Speaker 3: mirrors because yeah, because you know, I don't think they
- 20:17Speaker 3: expect me to be just who I am, who I
- 20:20Speaker 3: really am, you know and stuff. Yeah, And I still
- 20:24Speaker 3: say in interview process, I said, look, if my kids
- 20:27Speaker 3: call or my grandkids call I stop our meeting, and
- 20:31Speaker 3: I take the call. I'll be right back. But if
- 20:33Speaker 3: that bothers you, I'm not the right person totally.
- 20:38Speaker 1: And that's why I love you.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Oh thank you.
- 20:41Speaker 1: It's real light, it's real. Like I always say to people,
- 20:45Speaker 1: you're mad. You are like my favorite big sister or
- 20:51Speaker 1: my favorite aunt, because you just make people feel like
- 20:55Speaker 1: you made me and Ryan just feel loved, like every
- 21:00Speaker 1: part of it. There was no stress in you. You're
- 21:03Speaker 1: so positive and so just helpful and calming people down.
- 21:08Speaker 1: It's such a stressful situation, even though it's a situation.
- 21:12Speaker 3: It's like I didn't want you guys to miss out
- 21:17Speaker 3: because it was such a short period, you know what
- 21:20Speaker 3: I mean, And you had to do it quick based
- 21:23Speaker 3: on production schedules and you know, and I was determined
- 21:27Speaker 3: that you got as much at a wedding planning like
- 21:31Speaker 3: a normal not that you weren't normal, but you were in.
- 21:34Speaker 1: A very well but I know what you mean.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, so I tried to do all the cuteness
- 21:40Speaker 3: and all that stuff so you felt like a bride.
- 21:43Speaker 3: And I remember your rule that and I think I'm
- 21:47Speaker 3: right that you wouldn't let them stop the production while
- 21:50Speaker 3: you were walking down the aisle. Was that you like
- 21:54Speaker 3: they couldn't stop.
- 21:56Speaker 1: I mean the TV.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Yeah, like when they were filming, I really think.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Oh, I want to get all filmed. Do you know why?
- 22:05Speaker 1: Because in our contract they did say that we could
- 22:08Speaker 1: have a videographer, right, and we could have our photographer,
- 22:11Speaker 1: but I didn't bring anybody. So this was my wedding video, Like,
- 22:14Speaker 1: this was me remembering. This is me like having it
- 22:19Speaker 1: on film to remember for the rest of my life.
- 22:21Speaker 1: So that's funny. I don't remember that, but that seems familiar,
- 22:26Speaker 1: you know that I would say, no, we need to continue, just.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Pring on, don't stop. Yeah, I remember that.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:34Speaker 3: I thought that was really important too. Yeah.
- 22:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I wanted it to be my wedding, our wedding. I
- 22:43Speaker 1: didn't want it to be a television production, even though
- 22:45Speaker 1: it was both. I wanted it to feel more like
- 22:49Speaker 1: a wedding that all of my friends and family too
- 22:51Speaker 1: would go to normally.
- 22:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:04Speaker 1: So what was your favorite detail? Because I know people
- 23:07Speaker 1: didn't see everything, and I feel like I need answer
- 23:10Speaker 1: to this, but what do you remember what your favorite
- 23:13Speaker 1: detail of the wedding was.
- 23:15Speaker 3: Well, the thing I think that became a trend you know. Yeah,
- 23:21Speaker 3: was our variegated chair covers, you know. Yeah, so that
- 23:26Speaker 3: became a big trend. So that was it. Oh yeah,
- 23:30Speaker 3: oh for sure. I mean I don't think anybody had
- 23:33Speaker 3: done that, so I love that. But nobody really got
- 23:37Speaker 3: to see your reception, which.
- 23:39Speaker 1: I thought you were to say that. Yeah, so I
- 23:42Speaker 1: didn't either. I didn't get to see many Do you
- 23:45Speaker 1: remember I told you. I was like, wait, there were
- 23:48Speaker 1: couches by the pool. I didn't even see.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Yeah, all you asked for, we had that. But you know,
- 23:58Speaker 3: even in nor normal situations, the bride and groom miss
- 24:03Speaker 3: a lot, you know. Yeah, there's so much and and
- 24:08Speaker 3: you guys are very warm and fuzzy to your guests,
- 24:11Speaker 3: so that was very important to you that you said
- 24:15Speaker 3: hi to everybody and you know all that stuff. So
- 24:18Speaker 3: you miss it, You just miss and but that's normal. No,
- 24:22Speaker 3: that's why you say. I have a lot of people go, oh,
- 24:25Speaker 3: I don't want video, We'll never watch it. And I said,
- 24:29Speaker 3: you really do? You really want it filmed? When people
- 24:32Speaker 3: are talking to you and people pass away, and then
- 24:36Speaker 3: you have that you know, three D kind of talking
- 24:40Speaker 3: and you know, not just a picture.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Oh.
- 24:44Speaker 3: I always say okay, fine, and then the week up,
- 24:47Speaker 3: I go, you need video just reconsider Yeah.
- 24:51Speaker 1: For sure, agreed. Agree. Was there any stressful moment that
- 24:57Speaker 1: maybe people didn't see that you had to deal with
- 25:00Speaker 1: behind the scenes that day, yes, or that weekend? Yeah,
- 25:05Speaker 1: you're like so much.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Well, I think the production crew who was amazing, and
- 25:14Speaker 3: I talked to a lot of them way after the wedding,
- 25:17Speaker 3: but they hadn't done a wedding, so they didn't have
- 25:22Speaker 3: all the stuff, Like they would come to us and go,
- 25:24Speaker 3: we need ribbons, we need do you have anything pretty
- 25:27Speaker 3: we could put the vows it do you have like?
- 25:30Speaker 3: They didn't have any of that. So, yeah, you know,
- 25:33Speaker 3: us just doing our job and then setting up things
- 25:36Speaker 3: for camera to make it. You know, I guess it
- 25:39Speaker 3: came from It came from The Bachelor. The word you
- 25:43Speaker 3: know that I.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Know and we I remember talking to her about how
- 25:49Speaker 1: do we spend it? Because she said it all the
- 25:52Speaker 1: time all the time. Yes, it just was on The Kardashians.
- 25:57Speaker 1: It was on one of their episodes where Chris is
- 25:59Speaker 1: like in the phone going Siri, how do you spell?
- 26:03Speaker 1: And I was like, I have had this conversation one
- 26:05Speaker 1: of years ago. This word was a word like we
- 26:08Speaker 1: invented it.
- 26:09Speaker 3: And I didn't know what it meant. So I said
- 26:11Speaker 3: to Lisa, what is is juge? They did keep talking,
- 26:14Speaker 3: Is it like just fixing everything up so it's more
- 26:17Speaker 3: than it is? And she goes, yes, that's it, you know, so.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Mm hmmm, yep, that's totally it and you did it.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I mean looking back because I of course follow you
- 26:27Speaker 1: on Instagram and just seeing all the details, like I'm
- 26:32Speaker 1: as you know, so detail oriented, and just seeing all
- 26:36Speaker 1: of those details just makes me so happy. You are
- 26:40Speaker 1: a detail queen.
- 26:41Speaker 3: If I could just design and not have to do
- 26:43Speaker 3: the business end, I'd be.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Do you think you will in the future.
- 26:49Speaker 3: I would like to that, you know, when you're more
- 26:52Speaker 3: of a creative, it's hard to be I'm not a
- 26:55Speaker 3: numbers person, you know, so ye, but I'm more like,
- 27:00Speaker 3: have me order a dish and I'm so excited, you know.
- 27:04Speaker 2: I love it.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Speaking of dishes, I still have my Lenox china that
- 27:09Speaker 1: we my friends. Oh yeah, I was just telling my
- 27:13Speaker 1: friends that we I have it in our attic and
- 27:16Speaker 1: some in my kitchen, but we had thousands of pieces.
- 27:19Speaker 1: I feel like what they gave. Yeah, yes, it's such
- 27:22Speaker 1: a fundy.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Good step. And your shoes, remember your Steward shoes.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Oh, I remember the most start Whizman was like, these
- 27:32Speaker 1: are going to be the most expensive shoes ever worn,
- 27:35Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh stressfuls oh my god.
- 27:38Speaker 3: And the jewelry I remember, they kept like and then
- 27:43Speaker 3: I didn't understand, you know, everything, and then I did.
- 27:47Speaker 3: You know, I learned a.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Lot, right, you had a crash course in reality show
- 27:53Speaker 1: completely Yeah.
- 27:55Speaker 3: And I had a great experience with Chris. You know,
- 27:58Speaker 3: he was so lovely to me.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Of course, he was amazing.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Yes.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Yeah, and he's getting married now Lauren. Yeah, yes, they
- 28:10Speaker 1: are getting very soon, which I'm so happy for them
- 28:14Speaker 1: them too.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Yeah. Do you think he's going to make a comeback?
- 28:18Speaker 1: Well, I mean he's doing great with his podcast. I
- 28:20Speaker 1: think his podcast is really successful. The most dramatic podcast ever.
- 28:26Speaker 1: What it's called, of course, the most dramatic podcast ever.
- 28:31Speaker 3: That's hysterical.
- 28:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna listen to that often.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Yes, that's very funny.
- 28:37Speaker 1: It's him and Lauren, they do it together, and yeah,
- 28:41Speaker 1: it's great, it's great. I haven't been on yet, but
- 28:45Speaker 1: that's okay, it's all good. I say yet, just because
- 28:50Speaker 1: there's a hope you never have.
- 28:52Speaker 3: Yes, I'm sure you will.
- 28:54Speaker 1: I could do for hours. You even gave me ten
- 29:00Speaker 1: fifteen minutes. But just going back to memory lane, I
- 29:05Speaker 1: love it. I love I love it.
- 29:07Speaker 3: And it's very weird that I can remember everything because
- 29:10Speaker 3: I can't really remember five minutes ago, but I remember
- 29:14Speaker 3: the entire weekend.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Yes, oh gosh, I will never forget it. I mean
- 29:19Speaker 1: it was you know. I just this is funny. I
- 29:22Speaker 1: saw on Instagram. So there's this company that has these
- 29:27Speaker 1: cards or something that they they're like conversation starters for
- 29:30Speaker 1: mi peaple who have been married, and one of them
- 29:33Speaker 1: is what one memory would you like to go back
- 29:37Speaker 1: and relive? And of course my wedding popped up, as
- 29:42Speaker 1: you know that I need to incorporate my kids into
- 29:46Speaker 1: it somehow, and they of course weren't there, of course,
- 29:49Speaker 1: But that whole weekend was just over the top and
- 29:54Speaker 1: so special to me, and so much of it is
- 29:57Speaker 1: because of you.
- 29:58Speaker 3: Thanks so thank you, thank you so much that that's
- 30:01Speaker 3: why I do this. So thank you, Yes, yes, love
- 30:06Speaker 3: you so much.
- 30:08Speaker 1: All the best. Wish I could give you.
- 30:09Speaker 3: A hug, no big hug, not big hugs. Thank you. Bye,
