- 1:45Speaker 8: their backup quarterback last week at Little Riddler Rattler in there.
- 1:50Speaker 8: Spencer Rattler played pretty good in the first half, but
- 1:53Speaker 8: they did end up losing. Denver comes in with bod Nick,
- 1:58Speaker 8: so we'll see how this goes. Patrick Shirtan, the second
- 2:03Speaker 8: is out for Denver, their star cornerback, so a lot
- 2:08Speaker 8: of injuries. He's out with a concussion. Remember if you
- 2:11Speaker 8: sustain a concussion on Sunday and your team plays Thursday,
- 2:18Speaker 8: you're not gonna make it. The concussion test is actually today,
- 2:24Speaker 8: later today, so you're not gonna make it. They're not
- 2:27Speaker 8: going to and for some reason, as I said, Thursday
- 2:31Speaker 8: night games very questionable is why they continue to have
- 2:35Speaker 8: those games. But Prime bought the package, so Prime and
- 2:39Speaker 8: the billion dollars will get what they want. Big Kenny

- 2:48Speaker 8: on the ones and twos. He made it today. He
- 2:52Speaker 8: called me a little car trouble. Interesting car trouble, one
- 2:57Speaker 8: of the most interesting car troubles I've.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Ever heard of, and he loaned it to a crackhead.
- 3:03Speaker 1: It was so original, and y'all know you get you
- 3:08Speaker 1: get points for originality.
- 3:10Speaker 8: Yeah, what do y'all get these crackheads from every people
- 3:13Speaker 8: like to reference crackheads. None of y'all live where crackhead
- 3:16Speaker 8: lives anymore now, Yeah, So I don't know why everybody
- 3:20Speaker 8: likes to go back to their their roots. Anybody, Kenny,
- 3:27Speaker 8: if they ain't outside the common d club.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Kenny.
- 3:34Speaker 7: He passed by the South side of the Chicago signs,
- 3:39Speaker 7: My godness, what are they doing of all his kids
- 3:43Speaker 7: in the car?
- 3:43Speaker 1: He just point, yeah, they used to look at them.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Look at what they're doing with the pipes in their mouths.
- 3:50Speaker 1: What is that about?
- 3:51Speaker 5: Oh my godness, crackheads getting such a bad Oh man,
- 3:56Speaker 5: But we need to make American.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Because it's worse to be on fittanel correct. I believe
- 4:02Speaker 1: it is, But they don't. You don't ever hear people
- 4:05Speaker 1: laughing joe heads, not because the smallest amount can kill you.
- 4:12Speaker 1: So we can't make fun of them.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Because that seems like even more hilarious. But that you know,
- 4:18Speaker 5: it's definitely and you'd still risk it. That's super clown.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Cloud.
- 4:25Speaker 5: That's that's for us, just like we should get the
- 4:27Speaker 5: findanel heads. Yeah, we should laugh at them heads. What
- 4:30Speaker 5: are you called fitny wop? I don't know if they're called.
- 4:33Speaker 5: I mean, you won't find many of them, though, you
- 4:35Speaker 5: won't find many finnel heads not moving, but commanche Gregg's
- 4:42Speaker 5: unique car trouble. Let's not lose track of that.
- 4:45Speaker 8: What you known circle? Thank you said, thank you. I'm
- 4:48Speaker 8: saying I was just saying the uniqueness of it, Lord,
- 4:53Speaker 8: my ability to have. All I can say was, man,
- 4:56Speaker 8: my heart went out to him. You know, the excuse
- 4:59Speaker 8: was old.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Original you want to share clent agree.
- 5:03Speaker 8: That it was not even like something you could be
- 5:06Speaker 8: like you go, you hit you with the track, like
- 5:12Speaker 8: something about they forgot to plug up their phone, you know,
- 5:16Speaker 8: something like that.
- 5:17Speaker 1: You know, Greg hit me with something. I was like, okay, okay,
- 5:21Speaker 1: I just have to keep you day moving. Originality.
- 5:23Speaker 8: Yeah, it's a musk what it used to be. But
- 5:27Speaker 8: the bad producer is in the building. Okay he is
- 5:30Speaker 8: uh in the building as well, the bad producer. I'm
- 5:33Speaker 8: gonna bring my man Will Stevens on in a minute.
- 5:37Speaker 8: He runs the Hawks over there, power broker, Big Kenny.
- 5:41Speaker 8: You didn't know I had an answer for you that
- 5:44Speaker 8: you want to answer about? Can racial appropriation?
- 5:48Speaker 1: Yeah? At all of that? That's the man. And then
- 5:51Speaker 1: this man walks through the door when I have.
- 5:54Speaker 5: About the love later, look at you, I'm gonna ask
- 5:59Speaker 5: pick nine, ten, twelve, and you're gonna have to go
- 6:03Speaker 5: on and plug me into that deuce sports job because
- 6:06Speaker 5: with the philosophical Atlanta Hawks question. And then the man
- 6:10Speaker 5: who runs the things where the Atlanta Hawks comes walking
- 6:12Speaker 5: through the door. Because you got the bat phone and
- 6:17Speaker 5: you get the certified certified what's what's the street slang
- 6:21Speaker 5: for certified?
- 6:22Speaker 1: Blue check certified? Blue chick? Is certified your blue?
- 6:25Speaker 5: If you certified without saying the way to say certified
- 6:29Speaker 5: without saying certified.
- 6:30Speaker 9: Is blue check blue. I ain't heard that blue check certified.
- 6:34Speaker 9: Just a certified dripper. If you certified, you just stain certified. Neverthlessen.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Ain't no certified, You just certified. Ain't no name for it.
- 6:43Speaker 1: You are that, you do know? I would ride with
- 6:50Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Listen to this, Listen to this.
- 6:52Speaker 9: Ain't nobody riding anymore. It's like you gotta be a
- 6:56Speaker 9: they don't even call it riding anymore, sir.
- 6:58Speaker 1: What they call it is a true to What do
- 7:03Speaker 1: they call riding? I mean that's the person that you
- 7:06Speaker 1: go with. I mean, it ain't They don't really just
- 7:08Speaker 1: say there's a word for it. You said they don't
- 7:10Speaker 1: say the word riding.
- 7:11Speaker 9: I mean, I don't like you're gonna ride with me.
- 7:14Speaker 9: I mean, no, you're gonna either go with what I'm
- 7:17Speaker 9: saying or not. It's not about riding with you.
- 7:19Speaker 1: So you said, they don't say that anymore. Not that
- 7:23Speaker 1: my not my circle. I mean, I haven't heard nobody
- 7:25Speaker 1: use that while circle.
- 7:26Speaker 8: Bro, you're getting at this time, you're getting at this town,
- 7:30Speaker 8: at the circle on you're got to discount at Denny's.
- 7:34Speaker 1: What circle would that be? I mean you try to
- 7:39Speaker 1: create this.
- 7:40Speaker 8: For sona like you DJ Cool Alert or somebody. But
- 7:43Speaker 8: you are fifty you're almost fifty six years old.
- 7:47Speaker 1: No, I didn't.
- 7:47Speaker 8: I'm not say it's riding. You keep trying to go
- 7:51Speaker 8: like you're from the trap. There's no traps in Ashville
- 7:56Speaker 8: where no trap.
- 7:58Speaker 7: True, there's people, there's places in small cities where you
- 8:05Speaker 7: do drugs, but we.
- 8:06Speaker 8: Don't have no traps. We Gotville, not where you're from, MH.
- 8:14Speaker 8: They just called dope houses.
- 8:16Speaker 5: High crime areas.
- 8:22Speaker 7: Listen, sir, the mayor know everyone in your town. Everybody, everybody.
- 8:27Speaker 5: The people that get arrested in your town get arrested
- 8:30Speaker 5: by people like Johnny.
- 8:31Speaker 1: You know you could do better, Yo. Blue check.
- 8:34Speaker 9: Blue check is the way you say certified, certified. Yeah,
- 8:38Speaker 9: that's the Instagram thing. That's why I said it wasn't universe.
- 8:42Speaker 9: That's the only reason I'm saying.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Okay, we don't move on because you got us way
- 8:49Speaker 1: out right now? Can I rope it back in?
- 8:52Speaker 6: Hey, go ahead, you got the rope.
- 8:57Speaker 5: We've got comments from our online listeners, but they're blue check.
- 9:06Speaker 1: This weekend, I just wanted to bring up real quick.
- 9:11Speaker 8: Do y'all remember a couple of weeks ago where everybody
- 9:14Speaker 8: was ready to stone Dabo Sweeney.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Do y'all remember that? Man? We just got players that
- 9:25Speaker 1: want to play.
- 9:26Speaker 5: We don't really do the whole come here and lead
- 9:28Speaker 5: because you're trying to get your bag up.
- 9:30Speaker 1: For They're five and one.
- 9:33Speaker 8: They won five games since then, and I'm not saying
- 9:35Speaker 8: the competition was super tough. They beat some conference teams
- 9:41Speaker 8: like North Carolina State and app State.
- 9:44Speaker 1: And you know, but five win. I can only beat
- 9:47Speaker 1: the people on the schedule. I can only beat the
- 9:49Speaker 1: people that I have to play. That's it. They're five
- 9:53Speaker 1: and one. This week they played Virginia. I'm just saying,
- 9:56Speaker 1: remember when.
- 9:56Speaker 8: All that was a story, how Dabbo looks like he's
- 9:59Speaker 8: on his way to a nine to ten win season again?
- 10:03Speaker 1: Uh beat Florida. Say there's a couple of people wait forwards.
- 10:06Speaker 8: I'm not saying they're heavy hitters like the SEC where
- 10:10Speaker 8: you gotta line up Georgia and Texas and Alabama Tennessee
- 10:14Speaker 8: every week, but.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Five and one.
- 10:18Speaker 8: Just wanting to know where I don't hear a lot
- 10:20Speaker 8: about Dabbo and the way Dabbo going about business anymore.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Matter of fact'm going to clemps this weekend. See and
- 10:27Speaker 1: where's the shame? And Georgia beat them? Right, yes, Georgia.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Where's the shame in Georgia beating.
- 10:33Speaker 5: In Georgia beating Clemson or Georgia beating an Yeah, anybody,
- 10:36Speaker 5: I don't know. Georgia beat the Navy, not but the
- 10:41Speaker 5: not the university Navy. I'm talking about the actual people
- 10:44Speaker 5: who are enlisted.
- 10:45Speaker 8: I mean, losing a dance contest to Chris Brown is
- 10:47Speaker 8: not necessarily like you're not a good damn.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Ye, the best you could hope for us. Hey man,
- 10:55Speaker 1: you did that move though nobody disappointed.
- 10:59Speaker 9: That's why everybody was giving him such a hard time
- 11:02Speaker 9: because of the transfer portal.
- 11:04Speaker 1: N I l And he's saying he's not with all that.
- 11:06Speaker 8: Well, that's his approach, and he's willing, willing for the
- 11:11Speaker 8: ship to go down that way. That's his approach. And
- 11:16Speaker 8: I'm quite sure some guys will retire or do certain
- 11:19Speaker 8: things to stay away there. Every time they change the rule,
- 11:23Speaker 8: somebody takes exception to it. Yes, and he's willing to
- 11:27Speaker 8: and I'm quite sure he will eventually play. If he
- 11:30Speaker 8: stays at Clemson, he will have to play the game
- 11:32Speaker 8: to a certain point. But by then there'll be pro
- 11:35Speaker 8: sports anyway, and we'll be back with more the Sports
- 11:40Speaker 8: Jock Show right after this.

- 15:15Speaker 1: I want to live us.
- 15:17Speaker 7: Welcome back to this war shock shuk. I'm this war
- 15:19Speaker 7: shock wing getting the good morning. Tell you out there
- 15:21Speaker 7: in this thing morning.
- 15:23Speaker 8: You know, if you're listening to the music today is
- 15:25Speaker 8: you know, we always try to find a little thing.
- 15:28Speaker 8: So we decided I hit command you Greg up. Yesterday
- 15:31Speaker 8: his girlfriend was braiding his hair.
- 15:36Speaker 1: But that's what he told me. I said, what's up
- 15:39Speaker 1: with you? Say who?
- 15:42Speaker 8: I said, what's up with your command? She was like, man,
- 15:44Speaker 8: I'm just sitting him a girl braiding my hair. I said, okay, cool, cool,
- 15:47Speaker 8: that's how we do it in the afternoon. Uh, but
- 15:50Speaker 8: we decided we would go with what Big Beach was
- 15:53Speaker 8: listening to when he went in, when he went in,
- 15:57Speaker 8: and what he will be listening to when he gets out.
- 16:03Speaker 8: So two thousand and five is when the first arrest.
- 16:05Speaker 8: So if you're trying to figure out the music, basically
- 16:07Speaker 8: it said two thousand and five. You know what he
- 16:10Speaker 8: was listening to listen in the Rose Royce in two
- 16:13Speaker 8: thousand and five, and what he you know, because you
- 16:16Speaker 8: gotta make it like he don't have to roll still.
- 16:19Speaker 8: We're gonna get out and probably somebody come by, probably
- 16:22Speaker 8: have an uber just trying to stay under the raids.
- 16:27Speaker 5: But you know, Southwest, he's been out for a minute,
- 16:30Speaker 5: so t coming with that. Hey man, all this stuff mine,
- 16:33Speaker 5: you know what I mean, it's still old school.
- 16:35Speaker 1: The j Ets Jets.
- 16:37Speaker 8: Jets Jets finally made the move, pulling the million Dollar
- 16:42Speaker 8: Man over from the Raiders to the Jets. If you
- 16:46Speaker 8: didn't know Davante's big smile outside of the taco bell
- 16:51Speaker 8: in his house, because I mean, but we were restaurant,
- 16:57Speaker 8: would you have in your house if you could just
- 16:59Speaker 8: have a no, don't answer me now, Okay, later in
- 17:02Speaker 8: the show, I'm asking because I love the commercial. I do,
- 17:06Speaker 8: I do, but I wouldn't have a taco bell. But
- 17:08Speaker 8: what restaurant would you have in your house? And listen
- 17:12Speaker 8: to me, Fante Adams will have no he cut up.
- 17:16Speaker 8: He can't get cut up on chip. We can't get
- 17:20Speaker 8: cut up on and sindy sticks. No, you cannot be
- 17:24Speaker 8: cut up fast. That don't really get you know, late
- 17:29Speaker 8: night after you on snot a little bit. I'm quite
- 17:30Speaker 8: sure you go by there, not your fry run but
- 17:34Speaker 8: a small the small with a small cheese sauce.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Nothing that's gonna make me slow.
- 17:40Speaker 8: But the Jets decided that they would pull the trigger
- 17:43Speaker 8: and go ahead and get Davante Adams, who was clocking
- 17:48Speaker 8: a million dollars a week, just sitting over there chilling
- 17:50Speaker 8: somebody's hamstring hurting.
- 17:53Speaker 1: And it wasn't nothing wrong with him.
- 17:54Speaker 8: They were just trying to make sure he didn't hurt
- 17:56Speaker 8: himself so he could pass the physical when they traded him.
- 17:59Speaker 8: Which is great for him, young man that far into
- 18:03Speaker 8: his con his career, the quarterback he came to play
- 18:07Speaker 8: with is not there. He doesn't want to spend the
- 18:10Speaker 8: rest of his similar to Mary Cooper, I'm quite sure
- 18:14Speaker 8: if the Shuni Watson would have came back the way
- 18:18Speaker 8: that he thought he would. He would love to stay
- 18:20Speaker 8: in Cleveland. But he's on year ten. I think Adams
- 18:24Speaker 8: is on year ten eleven as well. They're they're kind
- 18:26Speaker 8: of long tooth and you know, uh, and they don't
- 18:29Speaker 8: want to be somewhere with a quarterback. Guys like that.
- 18:32Speaker 8: They've made good money. They have any chance of winning,
- 18:35Speaker 8: they're gonna have to find at least a veteran defante
- 18:38Speaker 8: Adams now with Kane Green in New York, hopefully.
- 18:43Speaker 1: What are y'all record, big Kenny? What's the record up there? Too?
- 18:46Speaker 7: And four?
- 18:46Speaker 17: Yeah?
- 18:47Speaker 1: Like two and four?
- 18:48Speaker 18: Right?
- 18:49Speaker 1: Two and four? None? I mean, I mean you can
- 18:53Speaker 1: only Yeah, we're doing what we can do well. Commanchi
- 18:56Speaker 1: Greg team is what is your record? Three and three? Okay? Okay, okay, okay,
- 19:02Speaker 1: three and three in Charlotte? What's Charlotte?
- 19:05Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 19:05Speaker 1: I'm a Falcon fan. Hold on, man, I thought you
- 19:09Speaker 1: was dang no, don't do that. I thought you don't
- 19:12Speaker 1: do that. Don't do that. Come on, I got one
- 19:15Speaker 1: number one Falcon fan beside me too. Hey, you grew
- 19:18Speaker 1: up in the seventies. How are you a Falcon.
- 19:20Speaker 9: First of all, because they used to train in Greenwood,
- 19:22Speaker 9: Firman before Carolina had a team, and we used to
- 19:25Speaker 9: go and see them training in Greenville, South Carolina.
- 19:27Speaker 19: Year.
- 19:28Speaker 9: This was in the eighties, and this is why a
- 19:30Speaker 9: lot of Falcon fans are still in the Carolina's okay,
- 19:33Speaker 9: because they used to train in Greenville, South Carolina.
- 19:37Speaker 8: It's just hard to keep up. So I'm just trying
- 19:39Speaker 8: to keep up with how many various teams you have.
- 19:42Speaker 8: It's a lot of loyalty. I'm just trying to say,
- 19:47Speaker 8: you have a lot of lawyers. Hey, big Kenny, you
- 19:51Speaker 8: said we had some people online.
- 19:53Speaker 5: Yeah, I have online listeners. From the top of the hour,
- 19:56Speaker 5: we had Antoine Lily saying that certified is now he
- 20:00Speaker 5: is him and that is a term that they use,
- 20:03Speaker 5: but it doesn't give credence to if the person that
- 20:06Speaker 5: is certified is a female or chooses other pronouns, So
- 20:12Speaker 5: he is him is kind of limited in its use
- 20:15Speaker 5: in my opinion. Jared Lloyd says nothing is worse or
- 20:20Speaker 5: more pathetic than some fifty eight year old trying to
- 20:24Speaker 5: be hip.
- 20:25Speaker 1: So I don't think he's writing with you on that one.
- 20:30Speaker 5: I'm not sure producer came back and and and and
- 20:34Speaker 5: shut it down with came through dripping.
- 20:37Speaker 1: I don't know what that means. I hope he gets
- 20:39Speaker 1: a towel for that.
- 20:42Speaker 5: And then Antoine says he's glad that Davante Adams is
- 20:46Speaker 5: where he wants to be and no longer a distraction
- 20:49Speaker 5: for the Raiders. So I'd rather have you not here
- 20:53Speaker 5: than here not wanting to be here.
- 20:55Speaker 8: So well, we will see where the Raiders, which I
- 20:59Speaker 8: would imagine Generators did the best thing that you look around.
- 21:02Speaker 8: They're in a rebuild year, as I said, regardless whether
- 21:07Speaker 8: they put either one of those two quarterbacks in their
- 21:10Speaker 8: menshoe or Aiden O'Connell in there, both of them, they're
- 21:17Speaker 8: really backups. It's just trying to get through a season.
- 21:21Speaker 8: They got rid of their running back. Is the last
- 21:23Speaker 8: off season, Jacob Jacobs. So you get rid of Adams,
- 21:27Speaker 8: you try to get you know, you got Tom Brady
- 21:29Speaker 8: in there now is minority owner, so that we can
- 21:33Speaker 8: sit out and try to influence some people, you know,
- 21:37Speaker 8: send him out, recruit some guys and what and what.
- 21:41Speaker 5: He Johnson is still saying that Aaron Rodgers didn't have
- 21:43Speaker 5: anything to do with any of these selections, like, you know,
- 21:47Speaker 5: I'm the owner, and you know I thought it was
- 21:50Speaker 5: all on me Aaron. Look, look, sincere Aaron had nothing
- 21:57Speaker 5: to do with this. He's reading from a paper because
- 22:00Speaker 5: I think Aaron Rodgers had a lot to do with
- 22:02Speaker 5: all of this.
- 22:03Speaker 1: I knew he DeVante. They was looking at him. He's
- 22:05Speaker 1: wanting to get out of there.
- 22:06Speaker 9: But I was never thought the Jets, But I was
- 22:09Speaker 9: thinking that Pittsburgh would have probably he seemed like he
- 22:12Speaker 9: would have fit in real well if he could have
- 22:13Speaker 9: went there with who Pittsburgh with who?
- 22:17Speaker 1: With whom? Excuse me?
- 22:18Speaker 20: Well?
- 22:19Speaker 1: Who who would throw him the ball?
- 22:21Speaker 5: Well?
- 22:21Speaker 1: He got Russell there, now you got but but do
- 22:28Speaker 1: you have Russell? Don't don't do stand up?
- 22:33Speaker 9: No, I'm serious though, I mean that would have Okay,
- 22:35Speaker 9: so you going to be a better I mean, if
- 22:39Speaker 9: it's gonna work out, I hope it work out for.
- 22:41Speaker 8: But he heard of any receiver trying to play with
- 22:44Speaker 8: Russell Wilson before we go to break any receiver, have
- 22:46Speaker 8: you heard trying to go somewhere and play.
- 22:50Speaker 9: Remember, let me think when the Seattle was rolling, when
- 22:52Speaker 9: he was like, no, no, those people are on the team.
- 23:04Speaker 1: We'll beat.
- 23:09Speaker 21: She likes.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Coon and.
- 23:16Speaker 6: He don't bow away.
- 23:20Speaker 10: More of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Dan videos

- 23:27Speaker 19: hopping on one foot, or maybe juggling cats while riding
- 23:30Speaker 19: the unicycle? Sounds ridiculous, right, but guess what? That's exactly
- 23:35Speaker 19: what texting while.
- 23:36Speaker 22: Driving is like.
- 23:36Speaker 19: Your human brain only has the capacity to focus on

- 26:13Speaker 8: We can't good morning till you Thursday night football Broncos
- 26:17Speaker 8: at the Saints. I advise, maybe start your Christmas list.
- 26:22Speaker 8: I'm gonna have to go Christmas shopping, but you can
- 26:25Speaker 8: start your list if you know it's nothing and I'm
- 26:29Speaker 8: I'm part of who that nation, but yeah, you can
- 26:33Speaker 8: just start your list. Just go through your inventory. Make
- 26:37Speaker 8: sure you start regifting to people have forgotten. Go back
- 26:41Speaker 8: ten years. Some of that stuff you ain't been using,
- 26:43Speaker 8: somebody gave you and regift. I'm a big regifter. I
- 26:49Speaker 8: wait a period of time, but then I regift.
- 26:52Speaker 5: Yes, sir, you maybe maybe we all before the shovels,
- 26:57Speaker 5: but you just killed my whole. Let's get through the whole.
- 27:00Speaker 5: Skeletons and pumpkin holiday for y'all. Start hitting me with
- 27:05Speaker 5: the Christmas I'll get to you just tonight. You and okay,
- 27:08Speaker 5: start your Christmas listening. You know my folks be listening
- 27:11Speaker 5: to this show and they're gonna be a sports shop.
- 27:13Speaker 5: I didn't they go shopping, No, but I mean, I
- 27:15Speaker 5: don't even want to see the limpits. My kids do
- 27:18Speaker 5: powerpoints like whole presentations. I ain't got time for that
- 27:22Speaker 5: right now.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Oh how any of over twenty one uh two of
- 27:27Speaker 1: them turned twenty one to twins turn twenty one this weekend.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Oh okay, then you set. Yeah, you just get them
- 27:33Speaker 1: what you want. It ain't what you know what they desire.
- 27:36Speaker 5: The youngest is nineteen, So I've been hitting them with
- 27:39Speaker 5: envelopes and we discussed that one holiday.
- 27:41Speaker 1: I'm there at the envelope Christmas with me. Hey, you
- 27:45Speaker 1: don't stress yourself. There you go Christmas.
- 27:47Speaker 8: But Saints and Broncos tonight on Thursday Night football. Interesting
- 27:54Speaker 8: talking about football, and we've been talking about the fights
- 27:57Speaker 8: and we got our man Will Steam. We'll get to
- 27:59Speaker 8: talk to him about arenal rules, things like that.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Fights.
- 28:02Speaker 8: Seems that each and every weekend, multiple fights at It's
- 28:07Speaker 8: almost I'm thinking people are doing these things for Instagram.
- 28:15Speaker 8: It's so frequent now. But in Baltimore this past weekend,
- 28:20Speaker 8: the Commander's fight between a Baltimore fan and a commander's fan,
- 28:24Speaker 8: a young man named Jack Kallis. I think he works
- 28:27Speaker 8: in an insurance business. He has been fired since his
- 28:34Speaker 8: employer saw him in the video. I don't know a
- 28:40Speaker 8: lot about the corporate structure, but is that something in
- 28:45Speaker 8: the bylaws? I know, like if this was a teacher,
- 28:50Speaker 8: which is more of a state employee, I know they
- 28:53Speaker 8: can kind of hammer you hard. But in the corporate structure,
- 28:59Speaker 8: can I go to the see you fighting somewhere and
- 29:03Speaker 8: fire you?
- 29:04Speaker 1: Is this? Is this in the guidelines? More morals or
- 29:09Speaker 1: some keep using the word more more. You're listening to
- 29:12Speaker 1: Tony somebody tape this morning.
- 29:16Speaker 5: No, I'm.
- 29:19Speaker 8: Well, I think you always working for I just said start,
- 29:25Speaker 8: I stopped going to the strip club. But you know
- 29:27Speaker 8: we'll get to that later.
- 29:28Speaker 5: And yeah, the small steps step out there too fast.
- 29:32Speaker 5: I think some companies, some companies, and usually these companies
- 29:36Speaker 5: are learning institutions, religious organizations, things like that have morals
- 29:43Speaker 5: and code of conduct clauses. Like teachers, you can get
- 29:48Speaker 5: in a lot of trouble. But regular corporate America, outside
- 29:52Speaker 5: of drug testing and those stringent restrictions already set up
- 29:59Speaker 5: again sexual harassment and things like that. I've not known
- 30:04Speaker 5: any I can see you on a video somewhere out
- 30:08Speaker 5: on the internet and then fire you for what you
- 30:10Speaker 5: were doing. I might have been defending myself. Do you
- 30:13Speaker 5: see what I'm saying. But that's been going on for
- 30:14Speaker 5: the last couple of years.
- 30:16Speaker 9: Once you get into a situation, whether it's a fight,
- 30:20Speaker 9: whether it's a protest, and if they there's the people
- 30:24Speaker 9: who seek out to find your job. Because when I
- 30:26Speaker 9: saw the video and it was like, oh, we're about
- 30:29Speaker 9: to find you were about to link in. We're gonna
- 30:31Speaker 9: find out everything about enjoy your last day at your job.
- 30:34Speaker 9: So it's like when people they are a group of
- 30:37Speaker 9: people who just.
- 30:38Speaker 5: Go and those are social outrage reasons I'm saying corporate America.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Is but.
- 30:45Speaker 16: They have.
- 30:47Speaker 9: Kneel to the situation that they cave in and they
- 30:50Speaker 9: get rid of the people. So we only see we
- 30:53Speaker 9: only see the initial action and reaction. We see the
- 30:57Speaker 9: guy fighting, we see him getting fired. We never see
- 31:00Speaker 9: them getting restitution for having been wrongly dismissed or anything
- 31:04Speaker 9: like that. And a lot of these people will, a
- 31:06Speaker 9: lot of unions will not allow this to happen in
- 31:10Speaker 9: the unit.
- 31:10Speaker 8: And that's why I asked, is this the byelaws of
- 31:12Speaker 8: the corporate American instructure.
- 31:14Speaker 1: No, no, it is not. It is not that you
- 31:16Speaker 1: can just see me on the internet somewhere and go,
- 31:20Speaker 1: I don't like what you're doing. You're fired. No, that's
- 31:22Speaker 1: not how it works.
- 31:24Speaker 5: Okay, So that man, unless he works for a mom
- 31:27Speaker 5: and pop insurance agency, there's no way HR saw him
- 31:33Speaker 5: and was like, well, you need to come in here
- 31:35Speaker 5: and we're gonna, you know, fire you, and you got
- 31:38Speaker 5: to get a seven inspect That's not that. This man
- 31:40Speaker 5: may have worked for an insurance person who owned their
- 31:44Speaker 5: own insurance company something like that. Like I work for
- 31:48Speaker 5: a state farm and I'm the representative here and you
- 31:51Speaker 5: don't work for my office anymore.
- 31:53Speaker 1: But corporate cannot just he's a state farm.
- 31:57Speaker 8: Command you if you ran a company, would you fire
- 32:00Speaker 8: employee for being in this situation fighting on at a
- 32:04Speaker 8: football game?
- 32:07Speaker 1: All right?
- 32:08Speaker 8: Because you're you know, you're our polar North, so you
- 32:10Speaker 8: always keep these guys balanced.
- 32:13Speaker 7: I need more context on this, on this fight as
- 32:17Speaker 7: far as it was himself, No, he was okay.
- 32:21Speaker 1: So he started it. Yeah, he just started attacking the guy.
- 32:24Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 32:24Speaker 9: We we got got the part I got to saw
- 32:27Speaker 9: the fight. He's like, oh yeah, oh yeah, y'all talking
- 32:29Speaker 9: that Noah is now and then what wait wait, wait.
- 32:31Speaker 5: Wait, First of all, what does any of that have
- 32:33Speaker 5: to do with my job? What does that have to
- 32:34Speaker 5: do with my job? We on the weekends. I'm not
- 32:36Speaker 5: in my corporate uniform. I wasn't here in official capacity.
- 32:40Speaker 1: With my job.
- 32:40Speaker 8: The world of in the world of sports, you're punished
- 32:45Speaker 8: in the sports for things that have nothing to do
- 32:47Speaker 8: with the sports.
- 32:48Speaker 5: But that's what I was That's what I'm saying, and
- 32:51Speaker 5: and again that this individual doesn't fall under those parameters,
- 32:56Speaker 5: that doesn't affect But he's in the world. How do
- 32:58Speaker 5: you know that, though I'm asking, was he there in
- 33:02Speaker 5: an official capacity with his job?
- 33:04Speaker 1: Does he work for the sports team? The sports team?
- 33:07Speaker 8: You're missing. If a player goes and does something right
- 33:12Speaker 8: off the field, he's not in the capacity of the
- 33:15Speaker 8: team either, Right, he can be punished put out the league.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Gray Rice?
- 33:20Speaker 24: Right.
- 33:21Speaker 5: The NFL is a private industry. Correct, Correct, that's Apple's oranges.
- 33:27Speaker 5: We're talking about corporate America.
- 33:30Speaker 1: The private industry. Certain private, No, no, no, I mean.
- 33:37Speaker 5: I mean no publicly traded companies.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Private. Okay, what I'm saying private.
- 33:45Speaker 7: Listen, when's the last time he worked in corporate America?
- 33:48Speaker 7: Have you ever worked in corporate America? And you know,
- 33:51Speaker 7: and you know that was that it was your last
- 33:54Speaker 7: year of corporate m.
- 34:00Speaker 1: In when I it was with Cox, So that's corporate
- 34:03Speaker 1: you know, their public training. So before the internet, pretty
- 34:12Speaker 1: much before the Internet. That's what I'm saying.
- 34:14Speaker 5: A lot of this is uncharted territory because we've never
- 34:17Speaker 5: seen it before. You're the people at your job were
- 34:20Speaker 5: never able to watch videos of you in your personal
- 34:23Speaker 5: private time other places. That was never happening before, But
- 34:28Speaker 5: there was never any.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Rules set for.
- 34:30Speaker 9: What I'm saying is like, what's the difference in an
- 34:32Speaker 9: athlete or entertainer going through doing something that's not pertaining
- 34:37Speaker 9: to their movie or their sports.
- 34:39Speaker 1: I mean, what's I'm saying.
- 34:40Speaker 5: Those are private owned entities, football companies, movie companies. Some
- 34:45Speaker 5: are publicly traded movie companies.
- 34:48Speaker 1: They are, but they are.
- 34:50Speaker 5: Beholden to their shareholders. Their shareholders public outrage and moral
- 34:55Speaker 5: disappointment affect their earnings, so they would get rid of
- 34:59Speaker 5: the liability.
- 35:00Speaker 1: That's a business move. The guy who played King what's
- 35:04Speaker 1: his name? Jonathan Majors.
- 35:06Speaker 5: Jonathan Majors Hey, man, Look, I might have hit ahead
- 35:11Speaker 5: or kiss the roof of the car too, but it
- 35:13Speaker 5: looked real bad on film and it's affecting our earning.
- 35:16Speaker 1: So Jonathan, we're gonna have to give you this little package.
- 35:18Speaker 1: You're gonna have to go be quiet for a while.
- 35:20Speaker 1: That's how that works.
- 35:22Speaker 8: Alonzo Paul back in action almost three years right there,
- 35:28Speaker 8: in two years, nine months from his last action, which
- 35:32Speaker 8: was in January. Mid January twenty twenty two. Big salute
- 35:37Speaker 8: to Eu. Lonzo almost three years removed, fighting back to
- 35:42Speaker 8: get on the court last night preseason action against Minnesota.
- 35:46Speaker 8: Scored ten points in fifteen minutes. Multiple surgeries on both knees,
- 35:55Speaker 8: and just a fortitude to keep trying to come back
- 35:58Speaker 8: and hopefully this will be one of those success stories.
- 36:03Speaker 8: When I saw the story, I kept thinking about a
- 36:06Speaker 8: similar guard. I can't think of his name to come
- 36:10Speaker 8: to me. A By the end of the show, he
- 36:12Speaker 8: had he played with Golden State. I want to say
- 36:15Speaker 8: the last he had a whole bunch of knee surgeries.
- 36:19Speaker 8: To the fact that even when I had my knee surgery,
- 36:22Speaker 8: he was over in Birmingham having a knee procedure. Then
- 36:26Speaker 8: he was a high pick like the Clippers. Sean Livingston,
- 36:33Speaker 8: that's his name. He went through a long journey of
- 36:37Speaker 8: knee problems, high round pick. Everybody thought he was going
- 36:40Speaker 8: to you know, and he was able to still string
- 36:43Speaker 8: out a long career. But when I thought a Lonzo Ball,
- 36:47Speaker 8: I thought about Sean Livingston, someone who had five, six,
- 36:50Speaker 8: seven knee surgeries and just kept coming back, trying to
- 36:55Speaker 8: come back. Years and years had passed to the point
- 36:58Speaker 8: you forgot how highly ranked and how the drafted they were.
- 37:02Speaker 8: But good to see Lonzo Ball fight through everything and
- 37:06Speaker 8: make it back to the court. We'll be back more
- 37:08Speaker 8: to Sports Jock Show right after this, John Bollwayne More
- 37:24Speaker 8: of the.
- 37:24Speaker 10: Sports Josh Show with Wayne Dantrigius coming up next.
- 37:30Speaker 6: The future depends on teachers.
- 37:33Speaker 25: Every day, teachers are shaping our tomorrows, starting their students

- 39:30Speaker 26: Hi.
- 39:30Speaker 27: I'm Ryan Blaney, a third generational race car driver, and
- 39:33Speaker 27: we dedicate a lot of our time to going as
- 39:34Speaker 27: fast as possible. My Grandpa Loo is the reason why
- 39:37Speaker 27: my dad and I started racing, and I'm really proud
- 39:39Speaker 27: to follow on his tracks. But when my grandpa was
- 39:41Speaker 27: diagnosed with Alzheimer's, it was a very unexpected bump in
- 39:44Speaker 27: the road for us. I've learned a lot on this
- 39:46Speaker 27: journey with my Grandpa Lou, and the memories of my
- 39:48Speaker 27: grandpa will always be with me. It's important to notice
- 39:51Speaker 27: if older family members are acting differently, experiencing problems with
- 39:54Speaker 27: their memory, or having trouble with routine tasks. Talking about
- 39:57Speaker 27: Alzheimer's can be really tough, but if you notice something,

- 40:33Speaker 4: And now back to the sports job Wayne Gandy log
- 40:58Speaker 4: on so you can see sports chain. I'll sing even.
- 41:04Speaker 7: Welcome back to the show on the Sports Shock Wing Gamey,
- 41:07Speaker 7: good morning to you out then to sting Land.
- 41:10Speaker 8: It is Thursday, Thursday night football. You get a bunch
- 41:13Speaker 8: of college games as well. Typically, if you're playing on
- 41:19Speaker 8: a Thursday, it's more of your mid level games. It'll
- 41:24Speaker 8: be interesting to see as college moves if some of
- 41:28Speaker 8: the big boys, the Power four, power five, whatever you
- 41:31Speaker 8: refer to them as, move to some Thursday night action
- 41:34Speaker 8: and put some of those big games, you know, kind
- 41:37Speaker 8: of like competitor of.
- 41:41Speaker 1: The NFL.
- 41:43Speaker 8: Right now they have that lockdown on the Saints and
- 41:46Speaker 8: the Broncos doing battle to night. NBA season starts next week.
- 41:53Speaker 8: I know, I know it doesn't seem like it. I mean,
- 41:55Speaker 8: we got the w NBA Finals where the Liberty up
- 41:59Speaker 8: to one on the Links. We got a LA excuse me,
- 42:04Speaker 8: a l CS and the NLCS going on as well.
- 42:09Speaker 8: For Major League Baseball, football, high school, college, pro hockey's back.
- 42:17Speaker 8: I mean, you can just really sit home and be
- 42:20Speaker 8: a junkie of sports if that's what you choose to do.
- 42:23Speaker 8: And now the NBA is back here next Tuesday Wednesday
- 42:28Speaker 8: will be the first games of the season here in Atlanta.
- 42:33Speaker 8: If you don't know, I'm a longtime Hawk participant learning
- 42:41Speaker 8: why so many Chicago Cubs fans were crying when the
- 42:47Speaker 8: Cubs finally got over the hump. I imagine myself now,
- 42:52Speaker 8: after many many years of persecution on that Hawk sideline,
- 42:59Speaker 8: I will be in tears two. I'll be running to
- 43:02Speaker 8: have court and hug Dominique, all kinds of things. If
- 43:06Speaker 8: the Hawks can ever ring up a banner. You're trying
- 43:08Speaker 8: to keep the goat out of the State Farm whatever
- 43:12Speaker 8: it is, no goats around stated, I don't know why
- 43:16Speaker 8: the Hawks can't seem to draw talent. You know, I've
- 43:22Speaker 8: always said that there seems to be a handful of
- 43:25Speaker 8: teams that the superstars always tend to want to go to.
- 43:31Speaker 8: But the Atlanta area, as far as guys will come here, visit, party,
- 43:37Speaker 8: even live in offseason, but they would rather go back
- 43:41Speaker 8: to Minnesota than to stay here with the Atlanta Hawks.
- 43:46Speaker 8: But my good buddy and he conned me long long,
- 43:52Speaker 8: long time ago into some season tickets for the Hawks.
- 43:57Speaker 8: He's the vice president over there. Uh, to answer some
- 44:01Speaker 8: of your questions at State Farm and with the Hawks them.
- 44:04Speaker 1: Some nice seats though, you got nice material? What is
- 44:08Speaker 1: that velvet? This is beautiful?
- 44:10Speaker 8: Long time ago about thirty years now he is all
- 44:13Speaker 8: the way up in West Virginia with the Mountaineers.
- 44:18Speaker 1: Uh. They listed him at five seven one ninety nine.
- 44:25Speaker 1: I mean, I mean which right now.
- 44:29Speaker 8: I'm quite sure his wife is like, yeah, that was
- 44:31Speaker 8: a long time ago, one ninety But my good friend,
- 44:36Speaker 8: uh an sports enthusiast here to answer big question, big
- 44:41Speaker 8: Kenny's question. I only brought him in for that one question.
- 44:44Speaker 1: That one question. I'm going to ask that, and I
- 44:46Speaker 1: have another one to go with it. On the heels
- 44:49Speaker 1: of that, I mean, because I didn't know we was
- 44:51Speaker 1: gonna have a man here.
- 44:52Speaker 5: I was just gonna rebound it off of you, lobby
- 44:55Speaker 5: it off, lobb it off you, and then he get
- 44:58Speaker 5: the alley op somewhere over in the headquarters. But I
- 45:01Speaker 5: didn't know he was actually coming in. I was gonna
- 45:03Speaker 5: get to, you know, get ten yards away from him.
- 45:06Speaker 5: So yeah, I got a couple. The man that drafted
- 45:11Speaker 5: Trey Young, Will Stevens in the building. Good morning to you, brother,
- 45:16Speaker 5: he drafted the trade. Yeah, it was in hold on brother,
- 45:19Speaker 5: no no, no, no, leg We about to move some furniture.
- 45:26Speaker 5: Good morning, morning morning. Thank you for joining us. I'm
- 45:30Speaker 5: sorry you got to sit by the bad producer, but
- 45:34Speaker 5: sometimes welcome to our world because it is what it is. Yeah,
- 45:40Speaker 5: we deal with it all the time. NBA is back,
- 45:45Speaker 5: it is, it is. It's back.
- 45:47Speaker 7: So we just played last night, okay, pre season last night,
- 45:51Speaker 7: and that was a makeup game, correct from one. We
- 45:55Speaker 7: went down to Miami, and I'm saying that game was
- 45:58Speaker 7: supposed to be last week and the storm forced it
- 46:01Speaker 7: to be put replay. I thought they were just going
- 46:04Speaker 7: to cancel it.
- 46:06Speaker 28: Yeah, the leagues nowadays, you know, any games that they
- 46:09Speaker 28: can get in, they don't you know, they don't cancel
- 46:12Speaker 28: those games. I mean, if it's on the schedule, it's
- 46:15Speaker 28: going to happen.
- 46:16Speaker 1: You know, one way or another.
- 46:17Speaker 28: I'm not sure if you remember, but it was years
- 46:19Speaker 28: ago when we had a tornado to come through downtown
- 46:23Speaker 28: Atlanta and.
- 46:23Speaker 1: We blew a lot of windows out. I blew a
- 46:25Speaker 1: lot of windows out. You know, we play off season
- 46:27Speaker 1: with Celtics, wasn't it. No, it may have been.
- 46:30Speaker 28: I can't remember the exact year, but we were playing
- 46:32Speaker 28: Dallas that evening. The game was postponed, but we ended
- 46:36Speaker 28: up playing making that game up, so that was a
- 46:39Speaker 28: regular season game. This was a preseason game. But you know,
- 46:43Speaker 28: the league's not in the business of canceling games. Well,
- 46:47Speaker 28: first of all, before we.
- 46:48Speaker 8: Get to the Hawks, we got to talk about you
- 46:50Speaker 8: as an athlete playing football West Virginia from Atlanta. How
- 46:55Speaker 8: was that as a culture shock? I mean, only you know,
- 47:00Speaker 8: playing for Pittsburgh. I drove from Atlanta to Pittsburgh. The
- 47:07Speaker 8: first time I had to take money, you know, my
- 47:09Speaker 8: items up there and when I got to West Virginia,
- 47:13Speaker 8: I thought I was lost. I just thought, man, I
- 47:18Speaker 8: have found if I ever got in some trouble, Right,
- 47:22Speaker 8: this is where you go to get off the grid.
- 47:24Speaker 8: You get off the grid, drive your car to the
- 47:26Speaker 8: West Virginia line and leave it to leave it walk.
- 47:30Speaker 5: And the FBI be like, he gone, look, man, I'm
- 47:34Speaker 5: saying now him Lee, Harvey Oswald, bigfoot brown, get over it.
- 47:42Speaker 8: But how was the football in West Virginia at that time,
- 47:45Speaker 8: which a lot of people don't remember. That was some
- 47:50Speaker 8: of the shiniest time for West Virginia. They were a
- 47:55Speaker 8: powerhouse in that era of the n C double A.
- 47:58Speaker 1: Oh yeah. I mean, I'm from Atlanta.
- 48:00Speaker 28: I'm from Atlanta, so born and raised Southwest Atlanta, all
- 48:04Speaker 28: black elementary school, all black middle.
- 48:06Speaker 1: School, all black high school.
- 48:09Speaker 28: Then you go to West Virginia and you're talking about
- 48:13Speaker 28: twenty five thousand students, maybe about fourteen hundred two thousand,
- 48:17Speaker 28: you know, black, Half of the people played sports. Most
- 48:21Speaker 28: of the people were from Florida. So I mean, we
- 48:26Speaker 28: recruited heavy in Florida. But I mean, I'll tell you
- 48:29Speaker 28: what though, going there, it definitely was a culty shop.
- 48:32Speaker 28: My roommate was a kicker from Parkersburg, West Virginia's you know,
- 48:37Speaker 28: so he was the type of guy that he was
- 48:40Speaker 28: leaving the door unlocked. And you know, coming from Atlanta,
- 48:42Speaker 28: it's like, hey, you know, like we got equipment in here,
- 48:46Speaker 28: we got you know, we got wallets in here, we
- 48:47Speaker 28: got money in here, we got food in the fridge.
- 48:49Speaker 28: Like you don't leave the names out nobody. Still that's
- 48:52Speaker 28: against me. You come back to the door just open,
- 48:55Speaker 28: you know, it's like, dude, like, hey, we don't do that.
- 48:58Speaker 28: So but I tell you what, like if I could
- 49:01Speaker 28: do it all over again, I wouldn't change anything. I mean,
- 49:04Speaker 28: I had the best time at West Virginia. I've been
- 49:08Speaker 28: treated better at West Virginia than probably some of the
- 49:13Speaker 28: any place I ever, you know, I mean even from
- 49:18Speaker 28: you know, you you grow up with a lot of
- 49:21Speaker 28: you know, stereotypes and how you perceive, you know, different
- 49:25Speaker 28: places to be.
- 49:26Speaker 1: And you know, you hear about the hat feeling the coys,
- 49:28Speaker 1: and you hear about.
- 49:29Speaker 28: Like in breeding and moonshine, and you know, all of
- 49:33Speaker 28: that is legit, it's real, it's not it's not a myth.
- 49:37Speaker 28: But you know, going there and just learning the lay
- 49:40Speaker 28: of the Land. I mean, I wouldn't change anything. I
- 49:43Speaker 28: mean I've encountered more racism here in Georgia than I
- 49:46Speaker 28: ever did in West Virginia.
- 49:48Speaker 8: Well, we'll be back after the break. And I always
- 49:51Speaker 8: tell people, especially young kids trying to decide where to
- 49:54Speaker 8: go to college, it's two different experiences. College town experience
- 50:02Speaker 8: of college. It's fun. It's in a city, right. So
- 50:07Speaker 8: now you you think the reverse, You think, oh, let
- 50:10Speaker 8: me go to u USC in the city right right,
- 50:14Speaker 8: and you leave or I didn't have any fun. But
- 50:16Speaker 8: you can go to a college town. You go to Startville, Mississippi.
- 50:21Speaker 5: And Haddisburg, Mississippi, and without you we would be here.
- 50:26Speaker 8: It is super fun in cottage towns. We'll be back
- 50:29Speaker 8: with more of the Sports Shock Show right after.
- 50:31Speaker 14: This breaking down street scene.
- 50:44Speaker 10: You won't guess, don't go awayne more of the sports
- 50:51Speaker 10: John Hill with Wayne Gamby, Yes, coming up next.
- 50:54Speaker 29: Hurting a game, we tough it out, feel exhausted, we
- 50:58Speaker 29: push on feeling down. We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps.
- 51:04Speaker 29: But there are times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress
- 51:07Speaker 29: gets to us and we need to talk to someone

- 55:29Speaker 1: go from there. But we'll before we go to break.
- 55:33Speaker 8: One of our listeners wanting to know what years were
- 55:36Speaker 8: you at West Virginia through ninety.
- 55:38Speaker 5: Seven college career? Played a college running back, running back,
- 55:44Speaker 5: running back, running back. I rolled the bench, but I
- 55:47Speaker 5: was a scout team champ. Well see now everybody laughs,
- 55:53Speaker 5: But I shouldn't last. The scout team is the most
- 55:57Speaker 5: important part of development.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Uh.
- 56:01Speaker 8: The scout team you can get in trouble. The scout
- 56:04Speaker 8: team can get the whole team in trouble. Have us
- 56:07Speaker 8: all out there running because the scout team won't give
- 56:09Speaker 8: us a good enough look or I've made a deal
- 56:12Speaker 8: with the Scout Team guy. Hey man, I'm a little

- 56:47Speaker 5: business off. Yes, the degree still say West Virgina. Yes,
- 56:52Speaker 5: I don't really matter because that used to be a
- 56:55Speaker 5: time when that was the reward for athletics.
- 56:58Speaker 1: Now with n I am deal that.
- 57:00Speaker 5: But to get a quality education they that you know, boy,
- 57:03Speaker 5: you better keep on go there and get that paper.
- 57:05Speaker 1: So outstanding jobs, sir. It led to this, Yeah, you
- 57:09Speaker 1: get the Scout Team Player of the week. There used
- 57:12Speaker 1: to be the whole thing for it.
- 57:14Speaker 8: So that was an honor for on Fridays, coach would
- 57:17Speaker 8: have the Scout Team Player of the week. They get
- 57:19Speaker 8: treated a certain way. You know they get a little
- 57:24Speaker 8: perks for doing a good job. So don't let we'll
- 57:26Speaker 8: undersell it making it seem like, right, he's making it
- 57:29Speaker 8: scene like they go and get him off the same.
- 57:31Speaker 1: Way he do about them flow seats. Oh, that's not
- 57:33Speaker 1: that same.
- 57:35Speaker 8: They're the same as guys in the NFL that you're
- 57:38Speaker 8: here on practice squad, right, you know, which is a
- 57:42Speaker 8: whole ten You know those guys make like one hundred
- 57:45Speaker 8: thousand dollars. Yeah, and they just come out there really
- 57:49Speaker 8: to practice. They don't go home decent.
- 57:52Speaker 5: That's pretty decent money to practice. I'm just saying to
- 57:56Speaker 5: me out there, like, what was I supposed to go

- 58:26Speaker 10: Wayne dam Videos coming up next.
- 58:30Speaker 6: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance.
- 58:33Speaker 11: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 58:36Speaker 11: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 58:40Speaker 11: have life insurance.
- 58:41Speaker 30: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 58:43Speaker 30: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 58:45Speaker 30: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind.
- 58:48Speaker 1: What about you?
- 58:48Speaker 6: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 58:51Speaker 30: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 58:53Speaker 30: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 58:55Speaker 30: survived without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 58:57Speaker 30: the insurance informant.
- 58:58Speaker 11: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 59:01Speaker 11: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 59:03Speaker 14: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 59:06Speaker 14: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 59:08Speaker 11: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 59:10Speaker 11: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 59:12Speaker 11: need is the insurance informat to help you build a
- 59:15Speaker 11: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 59:18Speaker 11: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 59:23Speaker 11: Log on today benefits orbills dot com. That's benefits orbills
- 59:28Speaker 11: dot Com.
- 59:32Speaker 1: Hear that.
- 59:34Speaker 16: That's the sound of your life, perfectly imperfect, beating in
- 59:41Speaker 16: rhythm to the world you've created. But every time you
- 59:45Speaker 16: drive after drinking, the music gets drowned out. Your life
- 59:52Speaker 16: sounds pretty great. Don't let a buzz ruin it. Buzz
- 59:56Speaker 16: driving is drunk driving. Don't drive buzzed. A message from
- 59:59Speaker 16: Nits in the at counsel.
- 1:00:04Speaker 7: Enough is enough.
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: I don't have any hill serier shuck and we hold
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: the world ransom for Wayne.
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: Excuse me while I whip this out show broadcasting live
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: and it led her to a chaos.
- 1:00:19Speaker 10: This this is the sports jock ship with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:00:24Speaker 6: You maga you lean up?
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: Gang?

- 1:00:29Speaker 10: Sho fan me down that come to f come to
- 1:00:32Speaker 10: to co get it comes to markets.
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: It's just.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it.
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: I'm gonna go on the way you may began.

- 1:00:46Speaker 8: shock Wayne getting. Good morning to you, and this Thursday

- 1:01:05Speaker 8: fantasy guys are out, so check your rosters tonight. You know,
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: as I said at the opening of the show, I
- 1:01:14Speaker 8: really don't know. Shaheed and the Chris Olave guy are
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: the two starters for the Rams and not to Ram
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: the Saints at receivers, so I don't know who they will.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: Be plugging in.
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: There is Derek Carr back he missed last week, Spencer Rattler,
- 1:01:36Speaker 8: and then on the other side, as I said, the
- 1:01:39Speaker 8: best cornerback on the Broncos team, one of the best
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: in the the NFL. Patrick Shotan is out for them
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: as well. Before we get back to our man our guests,
- 1:01:51Speaker 8: Will Stevens. The w n B a uh the finals
- 1:01:56Speaker 8: to one now the Liberty winning last night on a
- 1:01:59Speaker 8: big shot from Sabrina and Nescu to come back from
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: fifteen points down there in Minnesota. Links the All w
- 1:02:08Speaker 8: NBA Team was announced. Asia wilsonphice A Collier on that
- 1:02:15Speaker 8: team along with Caitlyn Clark, the first rookie to be
- 1:02:20Speaker 8: named First Team All w NBA since Candace Parker was And.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: That's how long Wow, that's how long Meach was in jail.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: Candas Parker was a rookie and now she retired on TNT.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: That's how long he was in lockdown. Sometimes it takes
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: the frame history. Sometimes you have to put big Kenny
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: said his daughter nineteen. Yes, so that's how long. Wow,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: whole life, Wow, that he would have been.
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: I went from having that look on my face like,
- 1:02:50Speaker 5: oh my goodness, what you mean an what we gonna
- 1:02:56Speaker 5: do it another way?
- 1:03:00Speaker 7: Hey?
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Hey, look, you right to work that out.
- 1:03:04Speaker 8: Breanna Stewart and Alyssa Thompson of Connecticut sons around out
- 1:03:10Speaker 8: that first team. So w NBA season is over Sunday
- 1:03:18Speaker 8: at the latest. If New York wins tomorrow, it'll be
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: over tomorrow. But the last game, as I was giving
- 1:03:25Speaker 8: them credit before, they just changed it. Their finals are
- 1:03:30Speaker 8: best of five. Will I hope you you talk some
- 1:03:34Speaker 8: football with us, right? Yeah, you're a Falcon fan? Absolutely, Okay,
- 1:03:38Speaker 8: I got you. I like that confidence. See the guy
- 1:03:41Speaker 8: next to you says he's a Falcon fan, but he
- 1:03:42Speaker 8: never speaks with confidence and applause. It's always questioned, and.
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: I man, he he say, I'm a Falcon fan. But
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: you know, sometimes if they you know how to be
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: when you know, I'll be with them. And then but
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: if they ain't you.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: Know, I be with them. But sometimes the Falcons are
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: four and two.
- 1:04:01Speaker 8: They play Seattle this Sunday here in Atlanta, which is
- 1:04:07Speaker 8: a team that they're capable of beating, you know when
- 1:04:11Speaker 8: you look at the records and you look at the personnel.
- 1:04:15Speaker 8: So that should be a great game and a great
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: start to the season if they can jump out five
- 1:04:20Speaker 8: and to what a difference Kirk Cousin that says started
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: to make in the last couple of weeks. And I
- 1:04:26Speaker 8: even saw Kyle Pitts try to block a guy. He
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: didn't block him, but he was trying. Hadn't seen that
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: in three years he was actually trying to block a guy.
- 1:04:40Speaker 8: I don't know what they have been telling him. Something
- 1:04:42Speaker 8: about trade deadline must have came up in his locker. No,
- 1:04:47Speaker 8: that'll get you going. You know, you wonder why the
- 1:04:52Speaker 8: equipment manage to keep talking about Hey man, y'all know
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: trade deadline is?
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: You know, and how you always say that when you
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: get to my locker.
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: You know, like one of the coaches told him that
- 1:05:03Speaker 8: every time you go by college, you let him bring
- 1:05:06Speaker 8: up the trade deadline, We're gonna send you to Cleveland.
- 1:05:11Speaker 8: You know, you don't want to go to Cleveland, because
- 1:05:12Speaker 8: it's one thing to lose in a dome, and it's
- 1:05:17Speaker 8: one thing to be losing when it's cold.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Those are two.
- 1:05:21Speaker 8: There is miserable to be on the look amen and
- 1:05:25Speaker 8: the open air outside and you're losing team is misery.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: Yeah, because you you still even if you win, and
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: you still pretty sad. You know what I'm saying. You
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: ain't just overjoined. You're like, man, this win is okay?
- 1:05:40Speaker 20: What?
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Yeah, you need motivation.
- 1:05:42Speaker 8: Yeah, when they started talking about the game is twenty
- 1:05:45Speaker 8: one degrees, you need something to really be shooting for.
- 1:05:48Speaker 8: But if you sitting there and you like three and
- 1:05:52Speaker 8: nine and they just told you last week, you know,
- 1:05:55Speaker 8: y'all ain't gonna make the playoffs. It becomes a real
- 1:05:58Speaker 8: personal battle some energy and energy be at twenty one degrees,
- 1:06:03Speaker 8: be at least it ain't twenty So uh, the NFL
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: going on this weekend. I hope your teams win. The
- 1:06:11Speaker 8: Cowboys are off. The Jets have.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: Hope. No, no, we all plan. I don't know.
- 1:06:20Speaker 7: I didn't even Stillers. Yeah, the Stillers on Sunday Night
- 1:06:25Speaker 7: Football Sunday Night.
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: Now, this is something I have been noticing about Jets
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: though they keep inserting them on those anchor time slots
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: and like expecting, like you said in the beginning of
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: the season, that it's going to be a certain caliber
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: quality of game, and so far we've been getting some okay,
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: but not exactly what I've been hoping for.
- 1:06:45Speaker 8: Well, another loss of two and they'll start introducing the
- 1:06:50Speaker 8: flex schedule.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Get flex schedule to the Jets.
- 1:06:53Speaker 8: Yes they will, Yes, yes they will, and this will
- 1:06:55Speaker 8: be Aaron Rodgers will deeply look into retiring this seas
- 1:07:00Speaker 8: and see if you can get on one of those
- 1:07:02Speaker 8: How how smart are you shows? Are you smarter than
- 1:07:06Speaker 8: a third grader?
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Healing?
- 1:07:10Speaker 8: And most people are not smart as a third grader,
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: So don't feel and don't be thinking you're going to
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: show and win. You know how many words you have
- 1:07:19Speaker 8: forgotten how to actually spell by the time just the
- 1:07:23Speaker 8: third grade?
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Think about it? I know, we all That's why I
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: still right and I have to catch myself. Know that
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: yougo before the eye or does? Are you sure I
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: don't want to google? Are you sure I don't want
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: to go? Let me see working it out in you?
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: Because I've been struggling with weird weird before because I
- 1:07:44Speaker 5: before except after c but that dope.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: Are you sure?
- 1:07:49Speaker 5: So?
- 1:07:50Speaker 8: Like that with math, because it's one of those things
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: you forget how much information you learned. That was when
- 1:07:57Speaker 8: your brain was completely open and people could put we're
- 1:08:00Speaker 8: in it. Now you're hardheaded like the bad producer and
- 1:08:03Speaker 8: want to say people don't use riding and they not dripping,
- 1:08:07Speaker 8: and then don't want to put in or g at
- 1:08:09Speaker 8: the end of it. You'd be saying, well, how you
- 1:08:12Speaker 8: spelling dripping now, and then want to argue down about
- 1:08:16Speaker 8: man when you spell it like in the streets. Thought, yeah,
- 1:08:20Speaker 8: that's the racist in the streets. We will back to you, sir,
- 1:08:26Speaker 8: real quickly. The Hawks, what should we expect from them
- 1:08:29Speaker 8: this season? I think people are gonna be a little surprised.
- 1:08:33Speaker 8: I will be will I'll be one of those people.
- 1:08:35Speaker 8: I'm gonna go ahead on I'll be surprised.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: I'll say this. I did, y'all get that on record.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: I did on record on record.
- 1:08:44Speaker 28: And I say that because I think this will be
- 1:08:46Speaker 28: the year that guys like Jalen Johnson, you know, make
- 1:08:50Speaker 28: that next step, you know, and a lot of people
- 1:08:53Speaker 28: don't realize, you know, like going back to Duke and
- 1:08:57Speaker 28: looking at him into you know, his just his career
- 1:09:00Speaker 28: in the NBA, Like, I think he's gonna make that
- 1:09:03Speaker 28: next step. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if he's
- 1:09:05Speaker 28: in that All Star talk, you know, in some kind
- 1:09:10Speaker 28: of way. And then the first round pick who we
- 1:09:13Speaker 28: just drafted, Zachary, I had no expectation, Like I didn't
- 1:09:18Speaker 28: know a lot about him. I mean, he's from France.
- 1:09:21Speaker 28: A lot of people don't even realize he's only nineteen
- 1:09:23Speaker 28: years old. So he's not even old enough to drink
- 1:09:26Speaker 28: right now. You know, you mentioned your daughter's nineteen r
- 1:09:28Speaker 28: you know, so he's nineteen years old. You know, played overseas.
- 1:09:32Speaker 28: But he's a lot bigger and longer than I thought
- 1:09:35Speaker 28: he was. Like looking at him initially on the draft,
- 1:09:39Speaker 28: you know, he looks like a you know, like just
- 1:09:42Speaker 28: just a bean pole. But he has some game. And
- 1:09:45Speaker 28: I think he's gonna surprise some people too. I think
- 1:09:48Speaker 28: people gonna look at it and say, like, you know,
- 1:09:51Speaker 28: he flew under the radar, and it could definitely be,
- 1:09:54Speaker 28: you know, the steal that people never expected.
- 1:09:58Speaker 8: And let me ask you this about why is it
- 1:10:01Speaker 8: with zach There is no hooplaw. Usually there's some kind
- 1:10:06Speaker 8: of hooplah to the first pick of the draft, whether
- 1:10:10Speaker 8: it was Yannas what has been down about twelve years ago,
- 1:10:14Speaker 8: ten years ago for Yanna's, whether it was last year
- 1:10:18Speaker 8: with women, Yama down with the Spurs, or even if
- 1:10:22Speaker 8: it was Zion, there's usually some buzz of the first
- 1:10:25Speaker 8: whether they're international or right here, local product.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: Why is it with him?
- 1:10:31Speaker 28: I think the media is part of that, you know,
- 1:10:33Speaker 28: because they talk about, you know, Zion, they talk about
- 1:10:37Speaker 28: even when Lebron came out. Lebron was on the cover
- 1:10:39Speaker 28: of Sports Illustrated, you know, so I think the media
- 1:10:42Speaker 28: also plays into that. But when you talk about a
- 1:10:46Speaker 28: foreign player, a guy that you don't see on TV,
- 1:10:49Speaker 28: you probably don't see on the internet at all, you know,
- 1:10:52Speaker 28: it's a little bit different. I mean, if you think
- 1:10:54Speaker 28: about it now, how even sports in the nation is regional.
- 1:10:59Speaker 28: So you know, we're in Georgia. You may not ever
- 1:11:03Speaker 28: see a Portland Trailblazers game unless it's on prime time
- 1:11:07Speaker 28: because the game is coming on nine to ten pm
- 1:11:09Speaker 28: at night, you know, here on the East Coast, so
- 1:11:12Speaker 28: most people are you know, sleep, so they don't know
- 1:11:15Speaker 28: anybody on Portland's roster, Sacramento King's roster. I mean, they
- 1:11:20Speaker 28: know the Lakers because they follow the Lakers, you know,
- 1:11:23Speaker 28: and you have Lebron on the Lakers, but you don't
- 1:11:25Speaker 28: have a lot of people that follow, you know, teams
- 1:11:28Speaker 28: that's not within the regional network.
- 1:11:30Speaker 8: That's definitely, and it sticks out even more with baseball
- 1:11:35Speaker 8: in Major League Baseball that.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: You don't even know who plays.
- 1:11:42Speaker 8: It's that one player that might be leading the league
- 1:11:45Speaker 8: in home runs, but you don't really know the other
- 1:11:47Speaker 8: teams roster.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: You be at the game and I have no clue
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: what to expect.
- 1:11:51Speaker 8: I went to a Milwaukee Brewers game playing the Braves
- 1:11:54Speaker 8: and had no idea they were playing well right, or
- 1:11:59Speaker 8: what to expect when their lineup came up. But you're
- 1:12:03Speaker 8: right about that regional But we did have the first
- 1:12:06Speaker 8: pick and just nobody you can ask even Atlanta who
- 1:12:10Speaker 8: was the first pick, and they would not know who
- 1:12:13Speaker 8: the first pick of the draft, not the first round pick.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: The first pick, the first pick of the draft. And
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: it's interesting nobody knows.
- 1:12:19Speaker 28: I mean, truthfully, the last first round pick Atlanta as
- 1:12:23Speaker 28: the city has had that people really got behind was
- 1:12:25Speaker 28: Michael Vick. I mean, if you think about it, I
- 1:12:29Speaker 28: mean baseball, football, basketball, Michael Vick may have been the
- 1:12:33Speaker 28: last first round pick that everybody was like, oh we
- 1:12:37Speaker 28: we we made it. Oh like we're on the map now,
- 1:12:40Speaker 28: you know. Other than that, you know, even Trey Young questions,
- 1:12:43Speaker 28: you know, so, yeah.
- 1:12:45Speaker 8: We'll be back. They love him for Mike Vick. Go
- 1:12:51Speaker 8: more a Sports Jock show, What up with your Mike?
- 1:12:54Speaker 8: Will be back right after that?
- 1:12:55Speaker 20: You know.
- 1:13:00Speaker 23: From my side, struggle fact and say go on, missus
- 1:13:04Speaker 23: stand and on a man on the top out avert.
- 1:13:08Speaker 6: Don't go away.

- 1:16:24Speaker 8: Fergusson is forty one. Aveander the real Deal holy Field
- 1:16:31Speaker 8: is sixty to Where is Avanda from? Originally I thought
- 1:16:37Speaker 8: he was from I thought he's from Atlanta. I did too,
- 1:16:40Speaker 8: That's what I'm saying. I don't think I thought it was.

- 1:16:53Speaker 8: Proz of the foujis that Kenny says that Proz missed
- 1:16:57Speaker 8: out on the London Show, that Hill missed out on

- 1:17:10Speaker 7: The prime reason was that your tardiness is what made
- 1:17:16Speaker 7: the tour fail. She she countered by saying, basically, nobody
- 1:17:22Speaker 7: came to see you. Otis kind of way anybody. They

- 1:17:34Speaker 7: the tour to help Prize with all this legal stuff.
- 1:17:38Speaker 8: Okay, Well, Prose is fifty two. White Cleff, who is
- 1:17:42Speaker 8: part of the Fuji's as well. Both of them celebrate
- 1:17:44Speaker 8: birthdays this weekends. Fifty five Prize is fifty two Prizes
- 1:17:48Speaker 8: still facing time or the case he was found guilty of,
- 1:17:53Speaker 8: so we will see how that goes.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: For that. We all facing time for being found guilty,
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: Am I right?
- 1:17:59Speaker 5: No?
- 1:18:00Speaker 7: All right, No, We've never been in the back of
- 1:18:02Speaker 7: a swat car or into the courthouse where an yeah
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: it happens.
- 1:18:08Speaker 5: I'm I'm not judging. I'm saying I'm not sitting from
- 1:18:11Speaker 5: a place of judgment. I know that sometimes those things happen.
- 1:18:14Speaker 5: Fifty two is FROs fifty five. His wife, cleft Ziggy
- 1:18:18Speaker 5: Marley is fifty six years old. Drawl Adams, who just
- 1:18:23Speaker 5: I mean, we're talking about as far as ability at safety,
- 1:18:29Speaker 5: played for your jts, Jets, Jets Jets. Yes, I moved
- 1:18:32Speaker 5: over to the Seahawks now he's in Tennessee. But he's
- 1:18:35Speaker 5: always hurt.
- 1:18:37Speaker 7: And I just really feel like there are certain people
- 1:18:40Speaker 7: that they just seem to always get hurt.
- 1:18:44Speaker 8: Jamaal Adams is one of them. And some of it
- 1:18:47Speaker 8: is his style of play. He hurts himself trying to
- 1:18:51Speaker 8: hurt you, right, and that's just his dogmatic style. Twenty
- 1:18:56Speaker 8: nine years old. That other safety they had for the
- 1:18:59Speaker 8: Legion of Boom. He used to hurt himself all the time, Chancellor.
- 1:19:05Speaker 8: He would be hurt all the time trying to hurt you.
- 1:19:08Speaker 8: Knocked your should out and broke his shoulder. So uh,
- 1:19:12Speaker 8: Jael Maul Adams Hopefully he'll get back this year. He's
- 1:19:14Speaker 8: twenty nine, duke legend and maybe the greatest duker of
- 1:19:20Speaker 8: all time. Danny Ferry. People would argue that right there
- 1:19:24Speaker 8: with Christian Lakener and Bobby Hurley. They would argue that
- 1:19:28Speaker 8: Danny Ferry, who used to be your boss, didn't it
- 1:19:32Speaker 8: over there, And then y'all got rid of him because
- 1:19:35Speaker 8: the Africans was in the back and selling them persons.
- 1:19:38Speaker 5: Send Marc Scott. It looked like a real Gucci. Don't
- 1:19:44Speaker 5: it looked like a real Gucci. Everybody know there's a
- 1:19:47Speaker 5: couple of folks wrong for that. There's a couple of
- 1:19:52Speaker 5: folks coppying persons for little Honey.
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: You don't remember.
- 1:19:55Speaker 8: Danny Fairy was just trying to make the distinction between
- 1:20:00Speaker 8: I mean, a Black American and an African American.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: When you look at what it now, you used wrong.
- 1:20:08Speaker 7: Maybe way He didn't say anything derogatory as far as
- 1:20:12Speaker 7: a word.
- 1:20:13Speaker 8: He just used the wrong description. And Wheel and the
- 1:20:17Speaker 8: piles at b they started a petitioned mistake. Danny Ferry
- 1:20:23Speaker 8: was the GM and all for winning. When he was
- 1:20:27Speaker 8: the GM, they were doing some good winning. But fifty five,
- 1:20:30Speaker 8: excuse me, fifty eight is Danny Ferry. Zach Efron is
- 1:20:33Speaker 8: thirty seven. Neo and his two girlfriends hanging out. Uh,
- 1:20:38Speaker 8: Neo is forty five. Britney Grinder is thirty four. No,
- 1:20:43Speaker 8: thank you, No, I'm Britney Grinder. I'm saying yep, you
- 1:20:48Speaker 8: mean Pop. Yeah, Brittany pop grind.

- 1:20:58Speaker 1: that no clock in on Pop off. Yeah.
- 1:21:01Speaker 5: But the other day you remember you came in for Serena.
- 1:21:04Speaker 5: Oh oh, I'm saying overtime for Serena. I'll turning my
- 1:21:09Speaker 5: Union card to work for Serena. But Pop is I'm
- 1:21:12Speaker 5: good on Pop. Frank Beamer is seventy eight. Beamer Ball
- 1:21:17Speaker 5: was definitely Frank Beamer was Michael Vick's coach. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:21:21Speaker 5: Beamer Ball.
- 1:21:22Speaker 8: And I wanted it not to be true, but something
- 1:21:26Speaker 8: about Frank Beamer and special teams was actually true. About
- 1:21:29Speaker 8: every other game they would run back a punt or
- 1:21:33Speaker 8: kick off block of field goal. And it got to
- 1:21:37Speaker 8: the point, now, this cannot be destiny, and people started
- 1:21:40Speaker 8: fearing their team.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: When it came to special team, it became a fear.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: His style.
- 1:21:45Speaker 8: His son is the head coach of South Carolina. Now
- 1:21:48Speaker 8: up there, Bob Whitfield legend for the Falcons. Who's the
- 1:21:53Speaker 8: old line coach over at Morehouse under Terrence mathis fifty
- 1:21:57Speaker 8: three years old. Mike Dick cut uh Chicago and it
- 1:22:02Speaker 8: ain't bigger than Dicka is Chicago Bears football.
- 1:22:07Speaker 5: Maybe George Hollis, maybe Jim McMahon would be a but
- 1:22:15Speaker 5: they're kind of synonymous. And Peyton. Those are the mount
- 1:22:19Speaker 5: Rushmore of Chicago Bear Singtary, the Singletary, I mean those
- 1:22:23Speaker 5: are those are all yet refrigerator Parry. All of those
- 1:22:29Speaker 5: are honorable mentions. But those that can just walk down
- 1:22:32Speaker 5: on the street. And I said that because people get
- 1:22:35Speaker 5: Dick could played, yeah and co coached right, you know, so.
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: It's not just that he played those other names. They
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: still came bigger on the field.
- 1:22:44Speaker 8: But once he went and became the coach, he became
- 1:22:48Speaker 8: Chicago legend.
- 1:22:49Speaker 5: Even on voting day, he can walk into all precincts
- 1:22:52Speaker 5: and cast a vote.
- 1:22:54Speaker 8: Mike Dicker eighty five, John Claude von Dom sixty four,

- 1:25:44Speaker 1: Don't give up, don't ever give up. And now back
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: to the Sports Giant, Wayne and.
- 1:25:58Speaker 14: I have been given full access to the player's lounge
- 1:26:01Speaker 14: on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: Welcome back to this one Shock. Showing this one shock.
- 1:26:27Speaker 7: Wayne Candy, we got our man Will Stevens from the
- 1:26:30Speaker 7: Atlanta Hawks.
- 1:26:31Speaker 8: Before we get back in with him real quickly. Judge
- 1:26:35Speaker 8: in North Carolina has decided that he proceeded over the
- 1:26:40Speaker 8: nineteen ninety six murder trial of James Jordan, Michael Jordan's father.
- 1:26:46Speaker 8: He is asking that they parole the person that was
- 1:26:52Speaker 8: convicted of that crime. James Jordan was murdered in nineteen
- 1:26:57Speaker 8: ninety three, so that would be thirty one years now, yes,
- 1:27:04Speaker 8: or no, thirty one years because he was given life, correct,
- 1:27:10Speaker 8: but it wasn't life without parole, right.
- 1:27:13Speaker 5: Well, I would I would only ask if the least
- 1:27:17Speaker 5: legal system, why not after thirty one years?
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: Most people get parole.
- 1:27:23Speaker 5: I know people personally who have been paroled in far
- 1:27:27Speaker 5: less time for murder than thirty one years. So if
- 1:27:32Speaker 5: that is a standard, why is he not allowed to
- 1:27:36Speaker 5: have parole? Command it's it's one guy or was it
- 1:27:41Speaker 5: both guys? There was two people convicted.
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: The one the other guy. I think they've already released.
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: This was the guy. I think they are claiming that
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: pull the actual trigger.
- 1:27:55Speaker 14: Right.
- 1:28:03Speaker 7: Well, I don't know what he's done to as far
- 1:28:05Speaker 7: as like, maybe he deserves parole. If it was a
- 1:28:10Speaker 7: life in prison, if that was the sentence, it was
- 1:28:11Speaker 7: a life sentence, then he should still be there.
- 1:28:15Speaker 8: Well, that typically is when they say without parole without
- 1:28:19Speaker 8: I'm just going by the letter of the law. Usually
- 1:28:22Speaker 8: life a life sentences equated to be twenty five years.
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: Twenty five years, right, not twenty five Yeah?
- 1:28:30Speaker 8: So you know, interesting case. North Carolina we're talking about
- 1:28:33Speaker 8: the same state that let Ray carutho. Yeah he did
- 1:28:37Speaker 8: do that after sixteen. You see, That's what I'm saying.
- 1:28:40Speaker 8: Come on, man, now, y'all got to explain to me
- 1:28:41Speaker 8: why I can't so I need more of an explanation
- 1:28:45Speaker 8: for that. Yeah, come on than I need for thirty
- 1:28:47Speaker 8: one years. Well, I'm saying the fact that that happened
- 1:28:51Speaker 8: makes me feel like they come home. Bro, how y'all
- 1:28:54Speaker 8: gonna hold me? That's that's my point that y'all let
- 1:28:56Speaker 8: Ray go. Everybody ought to be at least considered.
- 1:28:59Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:28:59Speaker 8: So, University of Kentucky and will we have to ask you,
- 1:29:04Speaker 8: will the Hawks be doing this soon? Because we know
- 1:29:06Speaker 8: the Hawks are all about the show. If you've never
- 1:29:09Speaker 8: been to a Hawks game or even a Falcon game,
- 1:29:13Speaker 8: they don't give you a break.
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: Once you come in.
- 1:29:16Speaker 8: It is two and a half three hours of full entertainment.
- 1:29:22Speaker 8: They had all kind of light shows and comedian and
- 1:29:25Speaker 8: dog acts and frisbee acts and people in concert and
- 1:29:29Speaker 8: everything else going on in there. The University of Kentucky
- 1:29:34Speaker 8: this year they're having this kind of led floor. I
- 1:29:39Speaker 8: guess it'd be like almost like a TV turned flat
- 1:29:42Speaker 8: that they're you know glass in a sense, some kind
- 1:29:46Speaker 8: of plexi glass they'll be playing on top of, which
- 1:29:51Speaker 8: will allow them to do different lighting concepts and advertising.
- 1:29:58Speaker 8: It's the first of its kind, so I guess to
- 1:30:00Speaker 8: wait and see.
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: And advertising, I'm sure.
- 1:30:03Speaker 7: Well they did something like that if you saw the
- 1:30:05Speaker 7: NBA All Star Weekend hurt. Yeah, so it would be
- 1:30:12Speaker 7: something like that during the Rising Stars Challenge or the
- 1:30:16Speaker 7: contest they had the changing But.
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: That was just for that one game, and that was horrible.
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: That was a terrible look. It was in my opinion,
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: that was horribly distracting and it didn't work.
- 1:30:27Speaker 7: Is it supposed to be better for the knees of
- 1:30:30Speaker 7: the players? Does anyone know about.
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: This playing on class? That's what I'm saying. Whatever that
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: TV material is, how will they.
- 1:30:41Speaker 8: Well, because I'm old enough to remember where it was hardwood,
- 1:30:45Speaker 8: and then there was a period where schools were trying
- 1:30:48Speaker 8: this rubber.
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: Yeah, court it was like a hard rubber. Yeah.
- 1:30:55Speaker 8: Remember those guys, well all of us in fifty plus
- 1:30:58Speaker 8: except for Comanchee, but they used to have a little
- 1:31:01Speaker 8: hard rubber and they found they said it was better
- 1:31:03Speaker 8: for you, needs they found out that it was not.
- 1:31:06Speaker 8: It definitely took away from your ability to jump because
- 1:31:10Speaker 8: that it gave when you went to push off of it,
- 1:31:12Speaker 8: it would give us just a tiny bit. And now
- 1:31:15Speaker 8: you see they got rid of thold. So that's why
- 1:31:17Speaker 8: I asked about the surface of the court. Would it
- 1:31:20Speaker 8: be better, because to me that as a player, that's
- 1:31:23Speaker 8: what I want you to change to something that's going
- 1:31:25Speaker 8: to be better for my health, not so the fans
- 1:31:29Speaker 8: can be. I've never been on the court and I
- 1:31:32Speaker 8: needed it to light up in flash lights. Even as
- 1:31:37Speaker 8: a spectator, I don't need that. I'm saying cool, But
- 1:31:41Speaker 8: this is the thing. The closer you're sitting, it's like
- 1:31:44Speaker 8: going to a band. If you ever go watch your band,
- 1:31:46Speaker 8: I always tell people get the two hundred level seats.
- 1:31:51Speaker 8: If you're watching a band, a marching band from level
- 1:31:56Speaker 8: feel you don't see anything.
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: You just hit the music.
- 1:31:59Speaker 8: You see none of the transformation, none of the sets
- 1:32:03Speaker 8: they're setting. They're spelling out something and you're just looking
- 1:32:06Speaker 8: straight into the tuba.
- 1:32:08Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: So it's the same thing with the floor. If you
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: go to the Hawks game in there or and you're
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: the lower you are, the less you're gonna see. I
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: won't see the Coca Cola sign the people up top wheel,
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: but the person at the lower seats wouldn't see the sign.
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: So but big Kenny, you had a big question about
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: the halftime show that will puts.
- 1:32:30Speaker 5: On now and we and we've been doing this for
- 1:32:33Speaker 5: a number of years. Here at the Sports Shock Show
- 1:32:35Speaker 5: this morning, I'm riding in and I'm hearing them announcing
- 1:32:39Speaker 5: October twenty third opening of the NBA season for the
- 1:32:43Speaker 5: Atlanta Hawks with the halftime show of Guccuji. Now, Gucci
- 1:32:47Speaker 5: was just with the Atlanta Symphony or what is.
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: Gucci's real name without googling Burr? His first name is
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: what burr?
- 1:32:56Speaker 5: Guccieever things he'll say the other things cos. But my
- 1:33:08Speaker 5: point is, since I've been paying attention to the halftime shows,
- 1:33:13Speaker 5: in particular of the Atlanta Hawks, they are trap music heavy,
- 1:33:16Speaker 5: not rap music. Trap music heavy is that because of
- 1:33:21Speaker 5: the pool of trap music artists.
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: That explain to the listener, make sure they know that
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: trap music isn't just rap music.
- 1:33:29Speaker 5: It's rap music that tells the story of street life,
- 1:33:34Speaker 5: particularly drug trafficking and sales out of abandoned establishments. Is
- 1:33:40Speaker 5: where Gucci made his money and lots of Atlanta Hawks
- 1:33:47Speaker 5: allegedly Yeah, the time he served wasn't for that, And
- 1:33:53Speaker 5: I'm not judging. We've all served time for drug sales,
- 1:33:56Speaker 5: am I right, we've all done it. But my point point, sir,
- 1:34:01Speaker 5: is that there are there the NBA Atlanta Hawks. All
- 1:34:08Speaker 5: of those are family friendly events. The halftime show I
- 1:34:13Speaker 5: would imagine would be in line with that spirit. Gucci
- 1:34:17Speaker 5: seems like a esoteric act at the very least. I
- 1:34:21Speaker 5: can't bring my mama and my house has grandchildren to
- 1:34:25Speaker 5: my mother there. But I don't know do people pick
- 1:34:28Speaker 5: and choose which games they come to based on halftime artists?
- 1:34:32Speaker 5: And why do the Atlanta Hawks? Is there an acceptance
- 1:34:37Speaker 5: level to trap music here that's different from other markets?
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: How has that happened?
- 1:34:42Speaker 28: So let me go first with how we book halftime acts, Okay,
- 1:34:46Speaker 28: and like just some of the yes enlightened ideas behind that. Well,
- 1:34:51Speaker 28: you're right, the twenty third mister Davis Rodgert, Davis Gucci
- 1:34:58Speaker 28: be at the performer half time. So I don't book
- 1:35:01Speaker 28: the halftime acts, but I will say the Hawks, we
- 1:35:05Speaker 28: are probably the ones that kind of spearheaded, you know,
- 1:35:10Speaker 28: halftime postgame, like really integrating entertainment in that. And then
- 1:35:16Speaker 28: like for us one of our mantras is true to Atlanta.
- 1:35:19Speaker 28: So we try to stick to people that are true
- 1:35:23Speaker 28: to Atlanta.
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:35:24Speaker 28: So Atlanta is known for the hip hop, you know,
- 1:35:28Speaker 28: so we we we kind of created our own lane,
- 1:35:31Speaker 28: you know when it comes to rap, hip hop, trap music,
- 1:35:33Speaker 28: and Gucci's part of that, Gucci t I g Z.
- 1:35:36Speaker 28: You know, we have had other artists there, but they
- 1:35:39Speaker 28: all had Atlanta roots in some kind of way. You know,
- 1:35:41Speaker 28: we had arrested Development Monica, Neo Luda, you know, so
- 1:35:46Speaker 28: everybody has some kind of roots to Atlanta. And then truthfully,
- 1:35:50Speaker 28: a lot of times the you know, rap is easy
- 1:35:54Speaker 28: to put on because you got a guy in a mic.
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: That's that's all you need.
- 1:35:57Speaker 28: Logistics is yeah, yeah, if you have a group, then
- 1:36:01Speaker 28: usually you got equipment, you got a band, you got
- 1:36:05Speaker 28: a halftime is only twelve minutes, right, you know, so
- 1:36:07Speaker 28: you got to get them on, you got to get
- 1:36:08Speaker 28: them off before the cameras start back rolling. So it's
- 1:36:11Speaker 28: easy with rap, not saying it's not easy with other artists,
- 1:36:15Speaker 28: but that's a lot behind it. And then, like I said,
- 1:36:17Speaker 28: we just try to stick to people that's that's Atlanta.
- 1:36:20Speaker 28: You know, we we like I said, I think as
- 1:36:23Speaker 28: an organization, we're the ones that kind of spearheaded and
- 1:36:27Speaker 28: started that, and we just stick to our guns and
- 1:36:29Speaker 28: we try to give the people what they want, and.
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: We give the people what they want. Okay.
- 1:36:33Speaker 5: So a lot of that has to do with the
- 1:36:35Speaker 5: demographic the fan that buyas tickets to come to the
- 1:36:39Speaker 5: Atlanta Hawks games.
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, hundred Now, and this is a kind of
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: a two part question.
- 1:36:44Speaker 5: In some of the Atlanta area restaurants, when you walk in,
- 1:36:47Speaker 5: they will let you know because it's posted that we
- 1:36:50Speaker 5: will not seat you if you have an overpowering aroma
- 1:36:54Speaker 5: of the good stuff on you. Now I'm not judging.
- 1:36:57Speaker 5: We then all walked into a restaurant smelling like the
- 1:37:00Speaker 5: good stuff?
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: Am I right?
- 1:37:01Speaker 5: Am I right? We've done all done that. No, okay,
- 1:37:05Speaker 5: but do the Hawks have any concern for that? A
- 1:37:10Speaker 5: lot of times I've been to the game, there are
- 1:37:11Speaker 5: some of some of our more noted celebrities that come
- 1:37:16Speaker 5: in fresh off of it, And do we have any
- 1:37:20Speaker 5: concern for that and the other families and people fans
- 1:37:25Speaker 5: that are there dealing with that?
- 1:37:27Speaker 28: So we are smoke free facility. Now, if they come
- 1:37:30Speaker 28: to the facility and they already feeling good. All right,
- 1:37:34Speaker 28: as long as they fulfill was within their agreement, right,
- 1:37:37Speaker 28: they fulfill within their contract. Is they're not smoking in
- 1:37:41Speaker 28: the building, right, We're good with that. Okay, but we'll
- 1:37:43Speaker 28: smoke free facility.
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: Okay. You know, he performs twelve minutes. He's on and off.
- 1:37:48Speaker 28: And I'm talking about other fans too, because I got looks.
- 1:37:51Speaker 28: But you know, it's fifteen thousand people in the arena.
- 1:37:54Speaker 28: It is hard to monitor, you know, But to your point,
- 1:37:57Speaker 28: you do see people that you know, do people break
- 1:38:00Speaker 28: the speed limit?
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, so yeah, you have all that.
- 1:38:04Speaker 5: I'm sure marketing in Atlanta's unique. Yeah, oh yeah, Well
- 1:38:08Speaker 5: so there's no other city like Atlanta.
- 1:38:10Speaker 28: I've been to pretty much every reading in the league,
- 1:38:12Speaker 28: and there's no other demographic like Atlanta, especially courts What
- 1:38:16Speaker 28: Wayne is you don't.
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: Have to keep pointing that out courtside.
- 1:38:27Speaker 8: For the Atlanta Hogs, we will see where the first
- 1:38:30Speaker 8: pick takes us, along with Trey Young and the guys,
- 1:38:37Speaker 8: see if we can get somebody, recruit somebody your help
- 1:38:41Speaker 8: to go along with this young team. Tired of miss
- 1:38:45Speaker 8: in the real playoffs. We keep getting in the play
- 1:38:47Speaker 8: in but never get into the playoffs for a couple
- 1:38:50Speaker 8: of years now. But we'll appreciate you coming in and
- 1:38:54Speaker 8: thank you, thanks for having me, for holding on with
- 1:38:57Speaker 8: the bapducer over there. He loved the segment about did
- 1:39:00Speaker 8: you see him? Did you see him over there? He
- 1:39:03Speaker 8: was crossing his arms and shaking. He was riding with you. Yes,
- 1:39:08Speaker 8: he was riding with you.
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: True Atlanta.
- 1:39:11Speaker 8: That used to be a better feel when people say
- 1:39:14Speaker 8: authentically Atlant Atlanta. Now it's a whole bunch of body
- 1:39:18Speaker 8: suits and booty job and that's and that's the sorts
- 1:39:24Speaker 8: jock show.

- 1:42:36Speaker 8: Big Jenny, Welcome back to this by Shock shot this
- 1:42:40Speaker 8: boy shock Wing Candy. Good morning once again, it's chilly
- 1:42:45Speaker 8: here in Atlanta, but it's gonna warm up.
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: As the next couple of days roll by.
- 1:42:52Speaker 8: I think our man Will Stevens, executive over at the
- 1:42:56Speaker 8: Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks, as I said, the Hawks, even
- 1:43:01Speaker 8: the Braves. Atlanta sports in general, they are big on
- 1:43:05Speaker 8: the entertainment realm. As far as you don't have really
- 1:43:09Speaker 8: quiet moments in the game. They don't have those where
- 1:43:14Speaker 8: you just sit griplest there and catch your breath as
- 1:43:19Speaker 8: soon as someone calls a time out or have time goals.
- 1:43:24Speaker 8: They got all kinds of acts going on for your entertainment.
- 1:43:29Speaker 8: They have as many bars and almost club atmospheres as
- 1:43:34Speaker 8: you can walk into sometimes even remember what is dan
- 1:43:41Speaker 8: Quinn was here with the Falcons, and dan Quinn after
- 1:43:46Speaker 8: a couple of games in one of those seasons, he
- 1:43:49Speaker 8: as for the fans to return to their seats because
- 1:43:54Speaker 8: he could see and if you go down to the.
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: New Arena, you can see a whole bunch of fans.
- 1:44:00Speaker 8: Either in in the breezeways, and he was begging, like,
- 1:44:03Speaker 8: come back to your seat so we can get that
- 1:44:05Speaker 8: crowd noise. But the situations in those stadiums. Those people
- 1:44:10Speaker 8: are in there. That's why I look so full around
- 1:44:13Speaker 8: mid second quarter because they're in the back. They're at
- 1:44:17Speaker 8: these bars. The bars are very nice, and I'm almost
- 1:44:21Speaker 8: if I was for someone that drank, you could just
- 1:44:25Speaker 8: pull up a seat and find that you didn't go
- 1:44:28Speaker 8: to your seat.
- 1:44:29Speaker 1: That's how I'm comfortable. They make it as my wife
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: Victoria's secret. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:44:36Speaker 8: When I said the old school of college. College stadiums,
- 1:44:40Speaker 8: for the most part, don't offer you that there is
- 1:44:45Speaker 8: nowhere to really if you're outside, you're in the elements.
- 1:44:48Speaker 8: They haven't encased you. You know, some stadiums trying to
- 1:44:53Speaker 8: do that now. Some college stadiums trying to add that
- 1:44:56Speaker 8: that social feature as far as having like different areas
- 1:45:02Speaker 8: where people can can hang out or whatever.
- 1:45:05Speaker 5: And as a fan, I know I've gone to Falcons
- 1:45:08Speaker 5: games and on my way to what were really good
- 1:45:12Speaker 5: seats and might have waited extra ten or fifteen minutes
- 1:45:16Speaker 5: just looking at amen. I didn't know they had cars
- 1:45:18Speaker 5: you could drive inside of the stadium, like, wow, we
- 1:45:21Speaker 5: canna have to get okay, lo, look a virtual And
- 1:45:25Speaker 5: I didn't know they had one of these. And you
- 1:45:27Speaker 5: will spend extra time just being amazed that they put
- 1:45:31Speaker 5: this inside a football arena.
- 1:45:33Speaker 1: This is wild. And then you go, oh, yeah, we
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: came to see the game, and now it's the middle
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: of the first.
- 1:45:38Speaker 8: Quarter, and you just really would just hope that the
- 1:45:40Speaker 8: sports because at some point, as I said, sitting there
- 1:45:43Speaker 8: almost twenty years now, you start wondering, what are we
- 1:45:47Speaker 8: gonna win?
- 1:45:48Speaker 5: Ah?
- 1:45:49Speaker 8: I see you making all the moves to entertain me.
- 1:45:52Speaker 8: You keep changing the color of the floor and the
- 1:45:55Speaker 8: different designs of the scoreboard, But when are we gonna
- 1:45:58Speaker 8: bring home a championship? Because I'd rather sit outside on
- 1:46:02Speaker 8: an outdoor basketball court and have a championship then for
- 1:46:07Speaker 8: you to keep bringing me these musical acts. But as
- 1:46:10Speaker 8: though that I didn't come here for a concert.
- 1:46:12Speaker 5: Think about think about what Missus Stevens said. A lot
- 1:46:16Speaker 5: of what they provide is based on the fans and
- 1:46:18Speaker 5: demographic to come to the game.
- 1:46:20Speaker 9: That's all the fans and Atlanta really want. And then
- 1:46:22Speaker 9: at one time, if they win, that's cool and sports.
- 1:46:26Speaker 9: I can tell you and letus have been there before
- 1:46:29Speaker 9: they re did the arena again. It used to be
- 1:46:31Speaker 9: like the sweet side, like that was like a thing
- 1:46:34Speaker 9: like people just would come and so they could be
- 1:46:36Speaker 9: on one side of the arena and you was exclusive.
- 1:46:38Speaker 9: If you didn't wasn't on that side, you was looked
- 1:46:40Speaker 9: upont like are you just It's like.
- 1:46:43Speaker 7: No, nobody was doing that but you and your circle
- 1:46:45Speaker 7: of friends. Like Will said, it's different, it's not different.
- 1:46:51Speaker 8: And what Will said is true to a point. When
- 1:46:54Speaker 8: they first started this, the fan base was more of
- 1:46:57Speaker 8: what he's saying. But the fan base that I'm sitting
- 1:46:59Speaker 8: there with looks down at the floor when these rappers,
- 1:47:02Speaker 8: they don't know those people that are performing on the court.
- 1:47:08Speaker 8: That's an old business model, he called me in I'm
- 1:47:10Speaker 8: telling you, y'all, like six seven years behind. You're kind
- 1:47:15Speaker 8: of stuck in the Joe Johnson era. The Trey Young
- 1:47:18Speaker 8: era is not looking for They get more engaged in
- 1:47:23Speaker 8: the Simon says game.
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: Than they do in Gucci the concert part.
- 1:47:30Speaker 5: Drop about the bricks, the god Gucci been removed from
- 1:47:35Speaker 5: the game for twenty years.
- 1:47:36Speaker 8: Justin field, maybe bench this Sunday versus the Jets, Russell
- 1:47:44Speaker 8: Wilson has been and I don't know if it's just
- 1:47:47Speaker 8: one game, it could be Mike Tumblin in the organization.
- 1:47:51Speaker 8: Just finally giving Russell Wilson his chance. I think that
- 1:47:56Speaker 8: hopefully Justin Fields keeps a positive attitude because this is
- 1:48:01Speaker 8: what you want. You want the Stellers to get a
- 1:48:06Speaker 8: look at Russell Wilson. So when you inserted the next time,
- 1:48:10Speaker 8: that holds better for you going forward like next year.
- 1:48:15Speaker 8: Right now, people will always wonder should you have keep
- 1:48:19Speaker 8: the job. And I think Russell Wilson gives them a
- 1:48:24Speaker 8: better chance, a little better chance throwing the ball. But
- 1:48:29Speaker 8: I think Justin Peel has done a good job as
- 1:48:31Speaker 8: far as getting back to how he can play in
- 1:48:34Speaker 8: this league. Yes, he's gotten back to his dual threat
- 1:48:37Speaker 8: as we call them dual threat quarterbacks, which means that
- 1:48:42Speaker 8: they do about eighty yards with the legs and about
- 1:48:46Speaker 8: two hundred through the air. It's a total yardageting with them,
- 1:48:51Speaker 8: total touchdown and not just what they throw for. But
- 1:48:54Speaker 8: we will see. No one has seen us. He hasn't
- 1:48:58Speaker 8: come right out and said it. Justin Fields is.
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: Not playing right.
- 1:49:05Speaker 7: He said that they are going to take He's taking
- 1:49:07Speaker 7: the first team reps.
- 1:49:08Speaker 8: As Russell Wilson is. Now, Okay, we're there with that.
- 1:49:13Speaker 8: So maybe he thinks the Jets are going to be
- 1:49:16Speaker 8: able to score too many points. He wants to put
- 1:49:18Speaker 8: maybe a more vertical game in there, uh and run
- 1:49:21Speaker 8: certain packages with Justin feels Uh as far as uh
- 1:49:26Speaker 8: using his legs and things like that. But we will
- 1:49:28Speaker 8: see what the Stellers, who are surprising, be off to
- 1:49:33Speaker 8: a good start. You have to say that with that,
- 1:49:36Speaker 8: nobody really thought Pittsburgh with the Wolves at quarterback and
- 1:49:41Speaker 8: the lack of receivers. As I said, who plays receiver
- 1:49:44Speaker 8: for the Stellers? Any of yous?
- 1:49:49Speaker 1: That's the only one I know. Anybody else got one?
- 1:49:54Speaker 1: NS one well show after.
- 1:49:58Speaker 10: This, Don't Go Away or of the Sports Jock Show
- 1:50:12Speaker 10: with Wayne Dantidius coming up next.
- 1:50:15Speaker 11: And now let's talk about something exciting life insurance. Three
- 1:50:18Speaker 11: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:50:22Speaker 11: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:50:25Speaker 11: life insurance.
- 1:50:26Speaker 30: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:50:28Speaker 30: just getting started with our family and thought we lived
- 1:50:30Speaker 30: forever life insurance. Well, it's the last thing on my mind.
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: What about you?
- 1:50:33Speaker 6: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:50:36Speaker 30: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:50:38Speaker 30: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 1:50:40Speaker 30: survived without me. That's when I'm in an appointment with
- 1:50:42Speaker 30: the insurance informant.
- 1:50:43Speaker 11: Information gives you power and life. Insurance gives your family
- 1:50:46Speaker 11: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:50:49Speaker 30: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:50:51Speaker 30: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:50:53Speaker 11: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:50:55Speaker 11: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:50:58Speaker 11: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:51:00Speaker 11: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:51:04Speaker 11: two options, benefits or bills.
- 1:51:06Speaker 6: Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:51:08Speaker 11: Log on today benefits or bills dot com that's benefits
- 1:51:13Speaker 11: orbills dot com.
- 1:51:15Speaker 32: Said you'd never buy your kid candy from the checkout
- 1:51:18Speaker 32: aisle or forget extra diapers. You'd never lick your thumb
- 1:51:22Speaker 32: to clean their face, never ever become a minivan mom.
- 1:51:28Speaker 32: So when you say you'd never leave your child in
- 1:51:30Speaker 32: a hot car, no, it can happen. Cars get hot fast,
- 1:51:34Speaker 32: and kids can be at risk in temperatures as low
- 1:51:37Speaker 32: as sixty degrees. Fairneight. Never happens before you leave the car.
- 1:51:41Speaker 2: Always stop look lock.
- 1:51:43Speaker 32: Brought to you by Nitza and the ad Council.
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: And now back to the sports job.
- 1:51:50Speaker 4: Wayne Gandy's time for a school board.
- 1:51:58Speaker 14: Can we put a spin on life and sports and
- 1:52:01Speaker 14: how they intermingle on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Dandy?
- 1:52:08Speaker 19: Take my money?
- 1:52:10Speaker 1: Well, I'm indeed he yes, it's a trifling friend.
- 1:52:15Speaker 9: Indeed, Oh she's a gold digger well over town that
- 1:52:21Speaker 9: digs on me.
- 1:52:23Speaker 19: Do you kill me?
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: Mo n ain't saying she you go diggin machineus and win?
- 1:52:28Speaker 28: No broke you bro will be Mo n ain't saying,
- 1:52:31Speaker 28: she you go digit machemus and wind.
- 1:52:33Speaker 1: No broth bro What awack to this? What shock show?
- 1:52:36Speaker 8: I'm this hort shock Queen Can d cam Rising of Utah?
- 1:52:41Speaker 8: Comanth you Greg quarterback?
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: Correct? Heard again? Ye n c double A is considering
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: giving him an eighth season, right? That true?
- 1:52:52Speaker 8: We would know what the six were, which would be
- 1:52:54Speaker 8: the five and the one which is uh well, the
- 1:52:59Speaker 8: four plus the red shirt gives you five, the six
- 1:53:02Speaker 8: came with COVID that would give you six, and the
- 1:53:06Speaker 8: two would be medical if he means he would have
- 1:53:10Speaker 8: gotten two medical here if he gets to the eighth season,
- 1:53:15Speaker 8: he's twenty five years of age. He just like I said,
- 1:53:21Speaker 8: move it to some kind of semi pro or whatever
- 1:53:24Speaker 8: you want to call it. The rules you can still
- 1:53:26Speaker 8: call it in I don't care Ncuba, but with the
- 1:53:29Speaker 8: rules of professional sports, and let him say there as
- 1:53:31Speaker 8: long as he want to. That's what you want to
- 1:53:34Speaker 8: be your quarterback. Why why keep to any years, is
- 1:53:39Speaker 8: what I'm saying. If everything else is out the door,
- 1:53:43Speaker 8: If paying and going to class and all that is
- 1:53:46Speaker 8: out the door real quick, why keep to the rules
- 1:53:49Speaker 8: of how many years you have?
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: You don't have to.
- 1:53:53Speaker 5: It's just another domino that's gonna fall, Like you know,
- 1:53:56Speaker 5: I mean, look at these two here, bo Knicks Can
- 1:54:00Speaker 5: am Risen. Both seem to have exceeded what we thought
- 1:54:05Speaker 5: was ever possible for a college career. Bo Nick's played
- 1:54:08Speaker 5: a whole college career for Auburn and then went to
- 1:54:12Speaker 5: was it Oregon and played a whole nother college career.
- 1:54:16Speaker 5: So that's eight years right there. Then he still got
- 1:54:19Speaker 5: his oh he played his six and then he still
- 1:54:22Speaker 5: can went off to the NFL and played. So why
- 1:54:26Speaker 5: why are we going to be trying to force this
- 1:54:28Speaker 5: dude out after two or three years?
- 1:54:30Speaker 7: Co immagine? Why not just let it be limitless? Well,
- 1:54:39Speaker 7: I guess at what point, like when when do you
- 1:54:42Speaker 7: is there a point where you've mastered the college game
- 1:54:46Speaker 7: and now it's time to move up? Like will that
- 1:54:48Speaker 7: time ever come? Or will that be like a thing
- 1:54:51Speaker 7: that is that coaches or any administrators would say, like, look,
- 1:54:55Speaker 7: you've done everything you've needed to accomplish here. If we
- 1:55:00Speaker 7: win a national championship, you've won three Heisman's, there's going
- 1:55:04Speaker 7: to be voter fatigue or.
- 1:55:08Speaker 10: You know you.
- 1:55:10Speaker 7: You're starting to collect social security? Like like how with
- 1:55:16Speaker 7: in a in a college environment? Keep saying college don't? Yeah,
- 1:55:19Speaker 7: you keep on, but I'm not going rules, So I'm
- 1:55:23Speaker 7: going by sports. Well in that case, where do they
- 1:55:30Speaker 7: are there going to be facilities built for them? As
- 1:55:33Speaker 7: far as like where they do they live in the
- 1:55:36Speaker 7: in the area, Like how I guess how they live
- 1:55:40Speaker 7: on Campustily.
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: Well, I'm saying, why can't why keep it?
- 1:55:45Speaker 8: Why can't Jameis Winston just go back to Florida State
- 1:55:50Speaker 8: and be their quarterback? You could have made the same
- 1:55:53Speaker 8: amount of money.
- 1:55:56Speaker 7: Yeah, because there was a stat right there would there
- 1:55:59Speaker 7: would I guess there would be the I don't see,
- 1:56:06Speaker 7: I don't see a reason why not, but it would
- 1:56:08Speaker 7: just be the teams would be older get be older
- 1:56:11Speaker 7: and older. Like you know, it's a bunch of twenty one.
- 1:56:14Speaker 7: Let's take us let's look at the WNBA and people,
- 1:56:18Speaker 7: and there would be no points.
- 1:56:18Speaker 9: If those young ladies will stay in school, they will
- 1:56:21Speaker 9: make more money in college staying in college than they
- 1:56:23Speaker 9: would staying in playing an amateur level at that university
- 1:56:27Speaker 9: than they are making in the WNBA. Because Angel Reice
- 1:56:30Speaker 9: just recently said her rent is like eight thousand a month,
- 1:56:33Speaker 9: but she only if you look at a contract, she
- 1:56:35Speaker 9: makes only like eighty nine thousand dollars a year with
- 1:56:38Speaker 9: the WNBA, but all her other money is from the
- 1:56:40Speaker 9: endorsements in NIL, which averages up to three to four
- 1:56:43Speaker 9: million dollars. So they're like sports jock saying, I mean,
- 1:56:47Speaker 9: at some point in time, it's gonna be I'm just
- 1:56:50Speaker 9: gonna stay down here, well collect the check.
- 1:56:53Speaker 5: And where you you were saying about college and all
- 1:57:01Speaker 5: of these older players. You look at these programs now
- 1:57:05Speaker 5: and a lot of these guys that used to be
- 1:57:07Speaker 5: at twenty one he was considered an older player. A
- 1:57:10Speaker 5: lot of these players now are twenty four, twenty three,
- 1:57:13Speaker 5: twenty six years old, still playing on college teams, and
- 1:57:17Speaker 5: they're not looking at it as again playing for the school.
- 1:57:22Speaker 5: They're just playing this level of football, waiting to go
- 1:57:26Speaker 5: to the higher level of because they consider themselves pro.
- 1:57:30Speaker 1: I get.
- 1:57:30Speaker 7: The main issue would be like those going from high
- 1:57:33Speaker 7: school to into the college level, how do they will
- 1:57:39Speaker 7: they ever get a chance to play? Do they have
- 1:57:41Speaker 7: to wait, you know, three four years just to get
- 1:57:44Speaker 7: a chance to play, or they have to find places
- 1:57:47Speaker 7: where there aren't so many guys who are have been
- 1:57:51Speaker 7: there five six years.
- 1:57:52Speaker 8: Some of those guys are going to go to the NFL.
- 1:57:54Speaker 8: It's already backtracking high school anyway. It's already logjamming. The
- 1:58:00Speaker 8: transferred portal has already limited recruitment in high school some
- 1:58:06Speaker 8: schools like a Colorado at prime time, Dion, he's more
- 1:58:11Speaker 8: of a transferred portal guy. So you're saying he gets
- 1:58:15Speaker 8: twenty five scholarships, but he's giving more of that to
- 1:58:20Speaker 8: transfer guys than he is too is go somewhere else.
- 1:58:28Speaker 8: It's almost like the record industry. It used to bring
- 1:58:31Speaker 8: you in and develop and then y'all got rid of
- 1:58:33Speaker 8: the ur Department's go develop yourself. Then when you get
- 1:58:37Speaker 8: big enough, come see me. That's how college football programs are.
- 1:58:43Speaker 9: Vanderbilt Prime example, they got they gave twenty five guys
- 1:58:47Speaker 9: on the transfer portal. That's why Vanderbilt looks the way
- 1:58:49Speaker 9: they look because those guys went somewhere else and they
- 1:58:52Speaker 9: was like, hey, come play here for us.
- 1:58:53Speaker 1: We're gonna give you this amount of money. I'd rather
- 1:58:55Speaker 1: go down to some division or a group of five
- 1:59:01Speaker 1: and get a junior.
- 1:59:02Speaker 8: Running back from Memphis and have him transfer to my school,
- 1:59:08Speaker 8: then to go and get a scholarship out of high school.
- 1:59:12Speaker 8: So if I don't think you the real deal, and
- 1:59:16Speaker 8: and definitely if your breakout season is your senior season,
- 1:59:21Speaker 8: you'll end up going to a very small school improving
- 1:59:26Speaker 8: yourself because they don't they're not even counting that right.
- 1:59:30Speaker 8: So I just don't know, why not just leave him there?
- 1:59:33Speaker 1: Real quick?
- 1:59:34Speaker 8: Tropic kind of field down there for the Tampa Bay
- 1:59:39Speaker 8: team dropped, they dropped, They didn't drop it the devil.
- 1:59:47Speaker 8: It's just so funny.
- 1:59:48Speaker 7: It's not a sting ray. It's a ray of sunshine.
- 1:59:50Speaker 7: That's the logo. Now really, Yes.
- 2:00:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that sounds bim bim on you I am shining,
- 2:00:07Speaker 1: you are shining. Yes.
- 2:00:09Speaker 8: Well, the roof they're saying will not be ready for
- 2:00:13Speaker 8: opening day, which is they can't get it in six months.
- 2:00:19Speaker 1: Opening day for baseball is like a curtain roof.
- 2:00:22Speaker 5: A curtain roof over a baseball stadium. That takes some doing, sir,
- 2:00:25Speaker 5: six months of saying where you get that much? They
- 2:00:28Speaker 5: must be they must be changing to some open they
- 2:00:33Speaker 5: must be doing something different. Well, I mean they're trying
- 2:00:36Speaker 5: to get a new stadium. Yeah, I'm saying they must
- 2:00:38Speaker 5: be doing some remodel that. You can't fix that in
- 2:00:41Speaker 5: six months.
- 2:00:43Speaker 8: Katrina. Katrina hit the super Dome and it was fixed,
- 2:00:47Speaker 8: Yes quickly. I'm talking about in like two months. It
- 2:00:50Speaker 8: sustainable materials. You're saying you're not going to fix this
- 2:00:54Speaker 8: in six months. Opening day is April for baseball. I'm
- 2:00:58Speaker 8: not talking about preseason.
- 2:01:01Speaker 1: Right right. Yeah, they try to get some city fund. Yeah,
- 2:01:04Speaker 1: they're doing there's something else on the list. We'll see that.
- 2:01:08Speaker 1: That does sound quite suspicious. Again, it looked like just uh,
- 2:01:12Speaker 1: some cheese cloth that they stretched the cross.
- 2:01:16Speaker 5: I'm sure y'all could come up with, you know, go
- 2:01:18Speaker 5: to the pattern store and get a lot of cheese
- 2:01:20Speaker 5: cloth and some thread, and.
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: We are emocean. The truth is he will throw your
- 2:01:27Speaker 1: in the ocean.
- 2:01:29Speaker 14: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports jud

- 2:02:40Speaker 8: into Ocean Today. As we talked about the New York
- 2:02:42Speaker 8: Jets playing Pittsburgh Stiller's Sunday Night.
- 2:02:47Speaker 1: Football this week, a meme was put out.
- 2:02:53Speaker 8: Stillers safety Deshaun Elliott decided to superimpose Mike Tomlin his
- 2:03:00Speaker 8: face over a summer Ben Lotton as a reference to
- 2:03:06Speaker 8: that it was the New York Jets week.
- 2:03:10Speaker 31: Now.
- 2:03:10Speaker 8: I don't know this was for a tension and likes
- 2:03:14Speaker 8: or just he's stupid, but nine to eleven is not
- 2:03:20Speaker 8: a joke.
- 2:03:22Speaker 1: It actually is not a joke.
- 2:03:25Speaker 8: It's not one of those Martin Luther King down at
- 2:03:30Speaker 8: Magic City poster. So I don't know where you. I
- 2:03:35Speaker 8: know you're twenty six, twenty seven years old, so using
- 2:03:38Speaker 8: the baby crib when it happened. But I don't think
- 2:03:41Speaker 8: Mike Tumblin wants to be in anything associated with the summer.
- 2:03:47Speaker 8: beIN laden to shine. Y'all millennials need to do something
- 2:03:50Speaker 8: else with your time. I don't know, wash your car.
- 2:03:54Speaker 8: That'll take about an hour and a half for the day.
- 2:03:55Speaker 8: You ain't the probably ain't never watched their own car.
- 2:03:58Speaker 8: These new millionaire airs.
- 2:04:00Speaker 5: Probably they've never watched No sense of pride and yeah, man,
- 2:04:05Speaker 5: I bought it and washed it.
- 2:04:07Speaker 8: So for that superimposing Tom Mike Tumblin over Osama Bin Laden,
- 2:04:12Speaker 8: Deshaun Elliott.
- 2:04:14Speaker 6: Fucked up clank.
- 2:04:24Speaker 1: And if you don't know the.
- 2:04:25Speaker 7: Stiller's organization, this this is the kind of stuff that
- 2:04:29Speaker 7: will get you some walking papers.
- 2:04:32Speaker 1: You'll be right.
- 2:04:37Speaker 8: You won't even be in the Jets game, right. They
- 2:04:39Speaker 8: missed the nine one one from the Sports Shock Show.
- 2:04:46Speaker 8: That's my man, Sports Shock Show. We'll see you in
- 2:04:50Speaker 8: the future. pH
