2:18
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I I wish I was because I'm more fresh in the morning, but like my job takes me out to the wee hours of the night.

2:25
SPEAKER_03: You're out at night.

2:37
SPEAKER_00: He's loving it.
2:38
SPEAKER_00: Um, he's really involved in my music too.
2:40
SPEAKER_00: So we get to take the family on the road with us.
2:43
SPEAKER_00: And that's just amazing.
2:44
SPEAKER_00: I don't want to do it any other way.
2:45
SPEAKER_00: I really don't.
2:46
SPEAKER_03: Oh, totally not.
2:47
SPEAKER_03: You need your family.

SPEAKER_03: I'm I have, you know, anything.
2:57

3:16
SPEAKER_03: I work with I have some clients that are deployed right now.
3:19
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
3:20
SPEAKER_03: And you'll have to take some Freedom Brew home.
3:23
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
3:24
SPEAKER_03: This really cool man named Allen.
3:26
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
3:26
SPEAKER_03: He was, you know, had a job.
3:28
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
3:29
SPEAKER_03: And people like you and I don't know what like a real job feels like.
3:32
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, what?
3:33
SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I could do that.
3:34
SPEAKER_03: People know what you're doing, Halting.
3:36
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I don't think I could do it either.
3:38
SPEAKER_03: I think I'm not structured enough to have a real job.
3:42
SPEAKER_00: I just feel like I would be like, oh, I'd I could do that better than my boss is doing.
3:46
SPEAKER_00: Or I don't know.
3:47
SPEAKER_00: Something like that, which is probably really conceited.
3:49
SPEAKER_00: I probably shouldn't be.
3:50
SPEAKER_03: The problem is I don't like people telling me what to do.
3:52
SPEAKER_00: I think that's it for me too.
3:53
SPEAKER_00: And also I'm not, I'm so scatter-brained.
3:55
SPEAKER_00: Totally.
3:56
SPEAKER_00: And I'm so spontaneous.
3:57
SPEAKER_03: I swear that's why you and I connected, because I'm like, I'm the walking shit show.
4:02
SPEAKER_00: I am too.
4:04
SPEAKER_00: I feel like this is perfect for that.
4:06
SPEAKER_03: Oh, totally.
4:08
SPEAKER_03: So my like, I if my clients and patients never see me with makeup, I roll out of bed, wash my teeth, throw on a base spot, and go.
4:15
SPEAKER_00: Me too.
4:16
SPEAKER_00: Except for when we do this.
4:17
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I threw a beanie on, so it's like half makeup.
4:19
SPEAKER_00: But yeah.
4:20
SPEAKER_03: Well, you look beautiful.
4:21
SPEAKER_03: I mean, you were so pregnant last time I saw you.
4:24
SPEAKER_00: I was like sweating pregnant.
4:26
SPEAKER_00: Um, I know it was a thing.
4:28
SPEAKER_03: I people that carry children are-I mean, I know we get like a mother's day, but that's not enough.
4:32
SPEAKER_00: It's not enough.
4:33
SPEAKER_03: I think once a month there should be like a day of rest.
4:36
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
4:37
SPEAKER_00: We started daycare because I told my husband, I'm like, I would never get any work done because my child's like me.
4:41
SPEAKER_00: She's just like, go, go, go.
4:43
SPEAKER_00: She's all over the place.
4:43
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she's a lot of work.
4:44
SPEAKER_00: And so I'm like, she better be a D1A.
4:47
SPEAKER_03: He's like, she's a lot of work.
4:49
SPEAKER_03: He's like, she's a 10, I'm a two.
4:51
SPEAKER_03: This is gonna be really hard.
4:52
SPEAKER_03: She's Buddy the Elf, and I'm not.
4:54
SPEAKER_00: And it's like you know, I I love it.
4:57
SPEAKER_00: That's that's my kind of people.
4:59
SPEAKER_03: I don't think he'd know how to function any other way.
5:02
SPEAKER_03: Like, he just knows that my entire world is insane.
5:05
SPEAKER_03: So he's like, I think he's like secretly looking and be like, damn, I want to be part of that craziness too, which is probably what your husband does.
5:12
SPEAKER_00: Yes, I mean, you I feel like they've got to be really strong uh guys that love a strong independent woman.
5:20
SPEAKER_03: Let me tell you, and I think this is for all women, we don't like weak men.
5:23
SPEAKER_00: No.
5:23
SPEAKER_00: Amen.
5:24
SPEAKER_03: We don't like weak men.
5:25
SPEAKER_03: Amen.
5:25
SPEAKER_00: I smell it, and I'm like, nope, no way.
5:28
SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
5:28
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, men are sub and he's still, after all these years, like opening the door and standing on the outside of the road because I'm like, it's his job to make sure I'm safe.
5:36
SPEAKER_00: That's amazing.
5:37
SPEAKER_00: I love that.
5:38
SPEAKER_03: It he's the best.
5:39
SPEAKER_03: We gotta get together to would like off this.
5:41
SPEAKER_03: Let's do it.
5:42
SPEAKER_03: We totally need to do it together.
5:43
SPEAKER_00: Let's get some drinks or totally dinner.
5:46
SPEAKER_03: You and I'll be on a rooftop.
5:47
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we can bring our strong husbands.
5:49
SPEAKER_03: Right, they'll pick up the check and the women off the floor.
5:54
SPEAKER_03: Are you thinking about more kids?
5:56
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I want like I want as many as I can have.
5:59
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I would I would love that.
6:00
SPEAKER_00: My husband is not gonna go for that, but I would love it.
6:03
SPEAKER_03: That would be great.
6:04
SPEAKER_03: That would be amazing.
6:05
SPEAKER_00: But the second one was so much harder on my body than the first one, and I'm getting older, so it's like, you know, I'm not gonna 29 in my world.
6:12
SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
6:13
SPEAKER_03: Ever.
6:13
SPEAKER_00: Well, honestly, too.
6:14
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I feel like my mom had us, she was done having us by 25 or something.
6:20
SPEAKER_00: Wow.
6:20
SPEAKER_00: I know, it's really young.
6:21
SPEAKER_00: That's just young.
6:22
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's just really young.
6:23
SPEAKER_00: But I think your body could probably bounce back a little easier.
6:26
SPEAKER_00: Totally.
6:26
SPEAKER_03: My husband is this is my second marriage.
6:30
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
6:30
SPEAKER_03: Thank you, Jesus, for bringing this world, this man in my world.
6:33
SPEAKER_03: Um, he was a very young father.
6:35
SPEAKER_03: He had his first child at 22.
6:39
SPEAKER_00: Okay, yeah.
6:40
SPEAKER_03: So now he's like a grandpa, you know, but he's like a grandpa rock star.
6:44
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
6:44
SPEAKER_03: Because he's still young, and I'm like, that's such a smart way.
6:47
SPEAKER_03: Like, if you know you want kids, because then one your kids are kind of grown and you can then still have a good time because you're young.
6:52
SPEAKER_00: Totally.
6:53
SPEAKER_00: And you know, coach them and be active with them and all that.
6:57
SPEAKER_00: So I'm trying to stay in the best shape of my life as long as I can because of that.
7:01
SPEAKER_03: So you don't want to go on the all-sugar cookie diet with you in January.
7:04
SPEAKER_03: After this shoot, before this shoot, I was like, all right, that's it.
7:07
SPEAKER_03: We're gonna tone it down a little bit.

7:17
SPEAKER_03: But I've I calmed it down for the shoot.
7:18
SPEAKER_03: But the second I get back to Philly, Christmas can be done.
7:22
SPEAKER_00: I actually stopped uh doing processed sugar and put like maple syrup and honey and agave.
7:28
SPEAKER_00: It's all so good.
7:28
SPEAKER_00: Like, why why do we not do that in the first place?
7:31
SPEAKER_00: Because sugar is good.
7:33
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, sugar is good, you're right.
7:34
SPEAKER_00: But I fall asleep after I eat it.
7:36
SPEAKER_00: It's good, I know.
7:36
SPEAKER_00: Right.
7:37
SPEAKER_03: So and then I wake up with like hard palpitations and I'm like, honey, I don't feel good.
7:40
SPEAKER_03: He's like, girl, it was the bag of Skittles.
7:44
SPEAKER_00: I made two pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving.
7:45
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, and I I noticed the whole one was gone, and then I started breaking into the second one, and my husband's like, I haven't had any yet.
7:54
SPEAKER_00: Right.
7:54
SPEAKER_03: I was like, bring that up.
7:57
SPEAKER_03: What are you gunning for me?
7:59
SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know what?
8:00
SPEAKER_00: I had a baby.
8:01
SPEAKER_00: I deserve it.

8:47
SPEAKER_00: That's the only way to do it.
8:48
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
8:48
SPEAKER_03: I think if you structure it, it's gonna be organized chaos.
8:51
SPEAKER_00: For sure.
8:51
SPEAKER_00: It is it totally is.
8:53
SPEAKER_00: And you know, I I'm very appreciative and grateful.

SPEAKER_03: I will be like, just like let's get it.
11:10
SPEAKER_03: Well, just take the baby with us.
11:12
SPEAKER_00: You'll have one front pack, all the other front packs.
11:14
SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
11:14
SPEAKER_03: Let's take the kids with us.
11:16
SPEAKER_03: Teach them the fine art of Shirley Temples while they're young.
11:18
SPEAKER_03: I mean, my child doesn't know any strangers, so I don't have there's no strangers in Deb's world either.
11:22
SPEAKER_00: Honestly.
11:23
SPEAKER_00: And we're all and there's no strangers in your world.
11:25
SPEAKER_00: No, they're we all want the same things.
11:26
SPEAKER_00: We're all the same deep down inside.
11:28
SPEAKER_00: I really feel like that.
11:30
SPEAKER_03: And we're all supposed to lift each other up.
11:32
SPEAKER_00: I think so.
11:33
SPEAKER_00: I think we're all connected in some way.
11:35
SPEAKER_03: You know, tell me what the best compliment you got on social media was.
11:38
SPEAKER_03: I don't think we talked about this before.
11:42
SPEAKER_03: Or ever in your career.
11:43
SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm not the kind of person that gets like really excited about um which I hate saying this because please keep leaving comments, everybody.
11:50
SPEAKER_00: And please keep sharing this stuff.
11:52
SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
11:53
SPEAKER_00: Um I'm such an in-person personal connection person.
11:57
SPEAKER_00: Um, but comments-wise, you know, I get awesome messages.
12:02
SPEAKER_00: I I guess from like a a fellow military spouse, a message about a song I'd written.
12:08
SPEAKER_00: Um to dress blue.
12:09
SPEAKER_00: Yes, dress blues, mm-hmm, and just how much it had touched her and how much it meant to her and all that.
12:15
SPEAKER_00: And changes lives.
12:17
SPEAKER_00: That's music changes lives.
12:19
SPEAKER_00: That for me was that's the number one.
12:20
SPEAKER_03: You know, to hear that you've moved somebody through something you've written, yes and it's just an incredible, incredible feeling.
12:27
SPEAKER_00: And to hear their story, and you know, it's just so cool.
12:30
SPEAKER_03: Well, we all have a pain point, right?
12:32
SPEAKER_03: Like we all do, and and the beauty of country music is that you're not alone.
12:36
SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
12:37
SPEAKER_03: You're not alone.
12:38
SPEAKER_03: There's everything that they're experiencing, you're experiencing.
12:42
SPEAKER_00: Amen.
12:42
SPEAKER_00: And it's so cool to be able to like you know, be a vessel for that bigger purpose, higher higher purpose.
12:48
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I know.
12:49
SPEAKER_03: That must make you so proud.
12:51
SPEAKER_00: It it does.
12:52
SPEAKER_00: It does.
12:52
SPEAKER_00: I bet.
12:53
SPEAKER_03: And that's such a beautiful thing to teach your girls.
12:55
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I I think so.
12:57
SPEAKER_03: The kind, the smallest things and the ways we give back are just kindness.
13:02
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
13:02
SPEAKER_03: And understanding that we're all I mean, we all get out of bed in the morning with the same I just gotta get through the damn day.
13:08
SPEAKER_03: Yes, right?
13:09
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I think that too.
13:10
SPEAKER_00: I can see it in my four-year-old, Alice.
13:12
SPEAKER_00: My six-month old is too little yet, but uh, my four-year-old, I can see the kindness in her.
13:16
SPEAKER_00: I love that.
13:17
SPEAKER_03: Kind people change the world.
13:19
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
13:19
SPEAKER_03: The the object of life isn't is not to be rich.
13:23
SPEAKER_03: It's not to be have 14 houses and planes and be it's not.
13:28
SPEAKER_03: It's it's how we treat other people.
13:30
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and hold the perspective and the definition of rich is another thing to think of.
13:34
SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
13:35
SPEAKER_00: Think on what are we rich in?
13:36
SPEAKER_00: You know, is that like numbers, dollars in the bank account?
13:39
SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah, love.
13:40
SPEAKER_00: That's the best.
13:41
SPEAKER_03: And that's those are the best things.
13:43
SPEAKER_00: I agree.
13:43
SPEAKER_03: So I should have told you this last week.
13:45
SPEAKER_03: I had a hater on um social media.
13:48
SPEAKER_03: No.
13:48
SPEAKER_03: Okay, this just goes to tell you the level.
13:50
SPEAKER_03: Called me a Karen.
13:52
SPEAKER_03: What?
13:53
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, listen, you're like, I get energetic, I get right up, I get all that.
13:57
SPEAKER_03: But like, Karen, no.
13:58
SPEAKER_03: No, not a Karen.
14:00
SPEAKER_03: But yes, like, and my husband's like, You don't ruin the party, you're the life of the party.
14:04
SPEAKER_03: I am the party doesn't start till I walk in.
14:06
SPEAKER_03: I am the party.
14:07
SPEAKER_03: And it's so funny because I was like, so I'm like, Rusty's like, don't engage.
14:11
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, dude, I gotta engage.
14:13
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
14:14
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
14:15
SPEAKER_03: And then I'm like, he's like, and your show and I'm like, thanks for following.
14:19
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know what?
14:20
SPEAKER_00: If he's watching, who cares?
14:21
SPEAKER_00: Who cares?
14:22
SPEAKER_00: Right.
14:22
SPEAKER_03: And I was telling the last guest, like, you're not even a badass until you have some haters.
14:26
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's true.
14:27
SPEAKER_03: You're not you know when you're touching people when people call you.
14:30
SPEAKER_00: Great thing to think about.
14:32
SPEAKER_00: It is.
14:32
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know that you're making you're moving mountains.
14:34
SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
14:35
SPEAKER_00: Once the haters are watching.
14:36
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
14:37
SPEAKER_03: They're watching.
14:37
SPEAKER_03: He's like, You'll never show up on my algorithm.
14:39
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, is there a rock you could crawl back under?
14:43
SPEAKER_03: You miserable.
14:44
SPEAKER_03: Like, so funny.
14:45
SPEAKER_03: Especially Christmas.
14:46
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
14:47
SPEAKER_00: It's so funny.
14:48
SPEAKER_00: He's really the Grinch, is what he is.
14:49
SPEAKER_03: He's really the Grinch.
14:50
SPEAKER_03: You really what are you guys doing for the holiday?
14:53
SPEAKER_03: We are staying here for once.
14:56
SPEAKER_03: We usually leave.
14:57
SPEAKER_03: Bravo.
14:57
SPEAKER_03: Children need to wake up in their own house where Santa Claus delivered their ship.
15:00
SPEAKER_00: Amen.
15:01
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, We need that.
15:03
SPEAKER_03: I'm just too tired.
15:05
SPEAKER_02: Children need to wake up in their own houses, we're staying up about their own ship.
15:09
SPEAKER_00: Usually we travel to Oregon, Wisconsin, the whatever other place.
15:13
SPEAKER_00: Um, and we have a condo in Florida because my husband was stationed down there.
15:17
SPEAKER_00: Um and we love spending Christmas in Florida.
15:19
SPEAKER_00: But like this year, we just finished building our house.
15:22
SPEAKER_03: And how is it?
15:22
SPEAKER_03: How was the place?
15:25
SPEAKER_00: We were general contractors on it, so it was very it was a lot.
15:30
SPEAKER_00: I'm sure.
15:31
SPEAKER_00: Deb, I bit off way more than I could chew this year.
15:34
SPEAKER_00: I had a baby, toured, and built the home.
15:36
SPEAKER_00: That's too much.
15:38
SPEAKER_00: Too much.
15:38
SPEAKER_03: That's it.
15:39
SPEAKER_03: That's it.
15:40
SPEAKER_00: Next time, sit me down and have an intervention.
15:41
SPEAKER_00: Don't let me do it.
15:42
SPEAKER_03: Listen, but can we pace ourselves a little bit?
15:44
SPEAKER_03: You can't pace yourself in this industry.
15:46
SPEAKER_03: It's not possible.
15:47
SPEAKER_00: You can't.
15:47
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I only know one gear, and that's 100%.
15:50
SPEAKER_00: That's it.
15:51
SPEAKER_03: So either that or I'm at zero.
15:53
SPEAKER_03: Everybody says they're like Deb's a 10.
15:55
SPEAKER_03: She's it runs at a 10 all the time.
15:57
SPEAKER_03: And when I crash, I crash.
15:59
SPEAKER_00: Crash hard, yeah.
15:59
SPEAKER_00: I'm the same way.
16:01
SPEAKER_03: The baby's not sleeping through the night.
16:02
SPEAKER_00: She's not sleeping through the night, no, but my four-year-old didn't either.
16:06
SPEAKER_00: But now my four-year-old sleeps, she's four, so she sleeps great now.
16:09
SPEAKER_00: So I'm like, just these are the hard things that are.
16:12
SPEAKER_00: We all get it right.
16:13
SPEAKER_03: You just gotta get used to when you know you as a mom, you sign up for that.
16:16
SPEAKER_00: You do, and it's worth it.
16:18
SPEAKER_00: Worth every single bit of the tired everything, you know.
16:22
SPEAKER_03: And it's nice, your husband's with you now, and he's not diagnosed.
16:25
SPEAKER_00: And he works remote, so that's so good.
16:27
SPEAKER_00: You know, he's very helpful.
16:28
SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
16:29
SPEAKER_00: Like I always say, a real man is one that will front pack the baby in the pink front pack and uh we don't do weak men.
16:37
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we just don't do weak men.
16:39
SPEAKER_03: Men are supposed to step up and and be fathers and be husbands and be protectors and yeah, and show that soft side.
16:45
SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
16:46
SPEAKER_03: That's a real man to me.
16:47
SPEAKER_03: That's a real man to me.
16:49
SPEAKER_03: I could never imagine like being in my twenties and start dating.
16:53
SPEAKER_00: Oof.
16:54
SPEAKER_00: This kind of the men now.
16:56
SPEAKER_03: I know.
16:57
SPEAKER_03: It's so sad.
16:58
SPEAKER_03: Like I don't want to like stereotype men because I got the greatest.
17:03
SPEAKER_03: But it's like Yeah.
17:04
SPEAKER_00: There's something about a man too that I really want to be a man, you know?
17:08
SPEAKER_03: And we're kind of like, some of the brains go fix it in Levi's.
17:11
SPEAKER_03: Like wear your Levi's on.
17:12
SPEAKER_03: And and go fix them.
17:13
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
17:14
SPEAKER_03: Real men have tools.
17:15
SPEAKER_00: So hot.
17:16
SPEAKER_03: It's truthfully.
17:17
SPEAKER_03: Truthfully.
17:18
SPEAKER_03: Like it's great.
17:19
SPEAKER_00: I will say, like, your husband opens doors and all that.
17:22
SPEAKER_00: We're losing that.
17:23
SPEAKER_03: Like puts me on the inside.
17:24
SPEAKER_03: And honestly, I think he should run a masterclass for men to teach them how to act.
17:29
SPEAKER_03: He should.
17:30
SPEAKER_03: Like, doesn't let me lift anything.
17:33
SPEAKER_03: I know.
17:33
SPEAKER_03: We're gonna get together next time we'll come back.
17:34
SPEAKER_00: It'd be a good influence on my husband.
17:36
SPEAKER_03: I'm sure your husband's fabulous.
17:38
SPEAKER_03: He's wonderful.
17:38
SPEAKER_03: He was military.
17:40
SPEAKER_00: He's amazing.
17:40
SPEAKER_03: Served this great country.
17:42
SPEAKER_03: How long have you guys been married?
17:43
SPEAKER_00: Um, we've been married for how's my child?
17:45
SPEAKER_00: Four years now.
17:46
SPEAKER_03: Oh, congratulations.
17:47
SPEAKER_00: She's a wedding night baby.
17:48
SPEAKER_03: That's all right.
17:49
SPEAKER_03: Right.
17:50
SPEAKER_03: You're like, I'm changing my life.
17:52
SPEAKER_03: It's good for you.
17:53
SPEAKER_00: It happened quick.
17:54
SPEAKER_03: People like that have your personality are great with that.
17:56
SPEAKER_00: They can just roll.
17:57
SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
17:58
SPEAKER_00: I honestly don't remember life before kids.
18:00
SPEAKER_00: Is that weird?
18:01
SPEAKER_03: It's weird in a great way.
18:03
SPEAKER_03: The best way.
18:03
SPEAKER_03: Do you still have a grandmother?
18:04
SPEAKER_00: You are not a grandmother.
18:05
SPEAKER_03: I girl, I am a grandmother.
18:07
SPEAKER_03: Wow.
18:08
SPEAKER_03: And we're having a second one coming.
18:10
SPEAKER_03: Congratulations.
18:11
SPEAKER_03: Thank you so much.
18:12
SPEAKER_03: This her name is Lainey.
18:13
SPEAKER_03: She's named after Lainey Wilson.
18:14
SPEAKER_03: Cute.
18:15
SPEAKER_03: And she's you think you have joy.
18:19
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
18:20
SPEAKER_03: Until you she has brought us more joy than I could have ever hoped for.
18:27
SPEAKER_03: She's beautiful.
18:28
SPEAKER_03: She's a ray of sunshine.
18:29
SPEAKER_03: It's now Christmas.
18:30
SPEAKER_03: I'll show you a picture for you.
18:32
SPEAKER_03: Here's my fly from the floor.
18:32
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, the Philly fly.
18:34
SPEAKER_03: I know.
18:34
SPEAKER_03: He's literally, he literally came.
18:35
SPEAKER_03: I know.
18:36
SPEAKER_03: He's growing.
18:36
SPEAKER_03: He's got cheesesteak on him.
18:38
SPEAKER_03: It's a hot mess.
18:39
SPEAKER_03: Um, it does.
18:40
SPEAKER_03: It changes your whole world.
18:42
SPEAKER_00: It does.
18:42
SPEAKER_00: Well, one per person put it, um, it's crazy to have grandchildren because it's your baby had a baby.
18:49
SPEAKER_00: So it's it's like you get to relive that.
18:52
SPEAKER_03: Watch them grow into parents is so beautiful.
18:56
SPEAKER_00: My mom says that all the time.
18:57
SPEAKER_00: She's like, I love watching you be such a good mama.
18:59
SPEAKER_03: No, but she did a good job.
19:01
SPEAKER_03: If you're your wonderful mom because you had an example a little bit.
19:04
SPEAKER_00: She gave me everything, and she would be done every year.
19:08
SPEAKER_00: She's at the house right now.
19:10
SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
19:10
SPEAKER_00: She flew in from Oregon for Ozzie's birthday.
19:13
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
19:14
SPEAKER_03: You know, I always say that good people come from other good people.
19:17
SPEAKER_00: Amen.
19:18
SPEAKER_03: They totally did.
19:18
SPEAKER_03: On the flip side, assholes come from other assholes.
19:21
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that is true.
19:22
SPEAKER_03: Right.
19:22
SPEAKER_00: And that's why I always feel bad for them because I'm like what happened to you as a baby.
19:26
SPEAKER_03: I know.
19:27
SPEAKER_03: Like, what how bad is it that you have to make some yuck somebody else's yum?
19:31
SPEAKER_03: Make somebody feel small.
19:33
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
19:34
SPEAKER_03: It's crazy.
19:34
SPEAKER_00: It's not, yeah.
19:35
SPEAKER_03: I think it's just, you know, I work with a lot of artists, I coach a lot of artists, and it's really um it's about switching your mind to you wake up, it's your day.
19:44
SPEAKER_03: Like it's a we get the opportunity to start over every single day.
19:49
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and like that could end at any moment.
19:51
SPEAKER_00: So, like, why not just just be happy?
19:54
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and I you know, the power of having somebody in the military is you know that it is life is precious.
19:59
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
20:00
SPEAKER_03: You don't know if they're coming back.
20:02
SPEAKER_00: Definitely.
20:03
SPEAKER_00: Um that's hard because I mean, that perspective, like my dad was a commercial fisherman too, my whole life.
20:09
SPEAKER_00: So as a little girl, I mean, my uncle passed away, got lost at sea, and I knew that that was that was instilled in me when I was very little.
20:19
SPEAKER_00: Right.
20:19
SPEAKER_00: And then marrying a man in the military was very similar in that regard.
20:23
SPEAKER_00: Right.
20:24
SPEAKER_00: Um, when he deployed, you almost can't even let your brain go there, though.
20:27
SPEAKER_03: I can't even imagine.
20:28
SPEAKER_03: You can't, you know.
20:29
SPEAKER_03: Like, I I don't I don't even like when Rusty goes to a business meeting at six.
20:33
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, dinner with me.
20:35
SPEAKER_03: What are we gonna you know?
20:36
SPEAKER_03: Like, and I can't even imagine.
20:38
SPEAKER_00: But you get a honeymoon phase all over the city.
20:40
SPEAKER_03: Totally, totally, and you know, it's really nice too.
20:42
SPEAKER_03: You know, I work with a lot of deployed military also, and um they're the true heroes of this world.
20:47
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's so much hard.
20:48
SPEAKER_03: You know, we we uh put kids in jerseys with athletes' names on them.
20:53
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and that is the example.
20:55
SPEAKER_03: And and that's a great point.
20:57
SPEAKER_03: We don't give the credit to people who are willing to risk their life for us to be able to sit here and just chill out.
21:05
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that is something that we should probably switch our culture around to get better about.
21:11
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, absolutely.
21:12
SPEAKER_00: I think it'd be really good too if everybody just served for a few years.
21:15
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, absolutely.
21:16
SPEAKER_03: I swear, I think you know, it's funny in other countries it is common, you know, they make men serve.
21:20
SPEAKER_00: Yep.
21:21
SPEAKER_03: And I think it really teaches them structure and stability, and you know, so I I tell you how to do that home though for you.
21:29
SPEAKER_00: Me too.
21:29
SPEAKER_00: And um, you know, he got out a couple years ago, so it has been that transition of um it's weird to go from him deploying all the time or in the field or whatever it was, yeah, and then now him be fully remote at home all the time.
21:44
SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we're like, oh maybe, you know, right.
21:47
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because they're they take a boy's trip for some.
21:54
SPEAKER_02: Just dad will put you up.
21:56
SPEAKER_00: I'm just kidding, though.
21:56
SPEAKER_00: I absolutely adore having him home, and we have so many.
22:00
SPEAKER_00: Like side projects together, like the music.
22:02
SPEAKER_00: He tour manages me, which is amazing.
22:04
SPEAKER_00: And then we have um real estate.
22:06
SPEAKER_00: Uh so we buy some land and we now like to do like heavy machinery operator stuff.
22:12
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, do you might get into it?
22:13
SPEAKER_03: Do you see that works with you?
22:14
SPEAKER_03: No, I don't know.
22:15
SPEAKER_03: How do you do this?
22:16
SPEAKER_03: I need one.
22:16
SPEAKER_03: Right.
22:17
SPEAKER_03: Call me, I'll fill in.
22:18
SPEAKER_00: I'll be like, yeah, honestly, a lot of chat GPT, a lot of AI stuff helps out.
22:22
SPEAKER_00: It's changed the world.
22:22
SPEAKER_00: It's just helped like do things, take care of some things.
22:26
SPEAKER_03: A little quicker without even I mean, you've got but not write music.
22:29
SPEAKER_00: I'm never gonna give in to that.
22:30
SPEAKER_03: No, you have to write your own music.
22:32
SPEAKER_03: I think we never give into that.
22:33
SPEAKER_03: That's what makes your songs so special.
22:35
SPEAKER_03: They touch somebody's life.
22:37
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
22:37
SPEAKER_03: I mean, to think that you're in an industry where you can write a song and it will change somebody's life.
22:43
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it is crazy.
22:44
SPEAKER_03: It's beautiful, it is amazing.
22:46
SPEAKER_00: It makes you f believe in higher power.
22:49
SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
22:50
SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
22:50
SPEAKER_03: There's a reason you're here, there's a reason you were brought to country music, there's a reason you brought to Nashville.
22:55
SPEAKER_03: Let's talk about 2026.
22:57
SPEAKER_03: What the hell is going on?
22:58
SPEAKER_00: Well, so many things.
23:00
SPEAKER_00: Um so right now we're taking a little bit of a break because I hit it hard with playing shows and I had the baby and all that.
23:06
SPEAKER_03: So you when did you go back to touring?
23:08
SPEAKER_03: Right, right after the baby?
23:10
SPEAKER_00: We yeah, two weeks, right after two weeks after the baby, which I know, which was kind of not recommended.
23:16
SPEAKER_00: But uh here we are.
23:17
SPEAKER_03: I don't really think they let you drive two weeks.
23:20
SPEAKER_03: You got on a freaking bus and went to a big thing.
23:23
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they make you wait like six weeks to do most of the things.
23:25
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, anything, right?
23:27
SPEAKER_00: So that was kind of I probably shouldn't have done that.
23:29
SPEAKER_00: But you know what?
23:29
SPEAKER_00: It got me like back into somewhat of shape quicker.
23:33
SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm also breastfeeding, so that helps get women back into shape a little bit quicker.
23:38
SPEAKER_03: Um also healthy for the baby.
23:39
SPEAKER_00: Healthy for the baby, healthy for mom, hormones, all that.
23:42
SPEAKER_00: Like I know, I know a lot of people don't like doing it, but if you can, some people can't, please do it.
23:48
SPEAKER_00: Like, build an immune system.
23:49
SPEAKER_03: Yes, and you're true, the hormones for women, like you.
23:51
SPEAKER_00: Oh, postpartum hit me hard.
23:56
SPEAKER_00: It's hard.
23:56
SPEAKER_00: Like being a woman is rough.
23:58
SPEAKER_03: It's it's not, it's not glamorous.
24:01
SPEAKER_03: It's it seems glamorous, but it's really not glamor.
24:04
SPEAKER_00: And I'm grateful because I get to experience those special moments with the kids.
24:07
SPEAKER_00: You're talking about and growing a human in inside you is amazing.
24:11
SPEAKER_03: You were the cutest freaking pregnant woman and the coolest pregnant woman I ever met.
24:15
SPEAKER_00: You're so sweet.
24:16
SPEAKER_00: I did not know.
24:18
SPEAKER_03: My head was like one enormous zit.
24:21
SPEAKER_03: Skin was oily.
24:22
SPEAKER_03: Like mine too.
24:23
SPEAKER_03: I was an ugly, ugly pregnant person.
24:25
SPEAKER_03: And it's really like, but you were the best pregnant person.
24:29
SPEAKER_03: You had like boundless energy and I don't know.
24:32
SPEAKER_00: I think it's because I love my job.
24:34
SPEAKER_00: I think same thing.
24:35
SPEAKER_00: Like when you love what you're doing.
24:36
SPEAKER_03: The importance of loving your job.
24:38
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you get adrenaline boosts almost like totally.
24:41
SPEAKER_03: And you know, like that CRS we were, I was like, there are people shoving bios under the bathroom door.
24:47
SPEAKER_00: No way.
24:48
SPEAKER_03: And you know, like I want to give everybody some spotlights.
24:50
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
24:51
SPEAKER_03: And you came here with a guitar and a dream, and I want I want you to be seen.
24:54
SPEAKER_03: But it was it was was it crazy?
24:56
SPEAKER_03: It was crazy.
24:57
SPEAKER_03: It was crazy.
24:57
SPEAKER_00: Was that your first one?
24:58
SPEAKER_00: No, no.
24:59
SPEAKER_00: I've done it for like 10 years now.
25:01
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
25:01
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
25:03
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but seeing you guys, you work hard.
25:06
SPEAKER_00: Like for me, it's like, you know, I got five a day or something like that.
25:09
SPEAKER_00: You have like 60 or something like that.
25:12
SPEAKER_03: In that week, we shot the beginning of the week, and then we shot Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
25:15
SPEAKER_03: I think we did like 67.
25:16
SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
25:17
SPEAKER_00: I don't know how you do it.
25:18
SPEAKER_00: But I can tell you 60 seven.
25:19
SPEAKER_00: And you save your voice too.
25:20
SPEAKER_03: Uh well, when I got back from that, I had this like chronic sore through.
25:24
SPEAKER_03: Like, their audience is probably like, Well, I'll shoot you, just go get coffee.
25:27
SPEAKER_03: Um I had this like I my vocal cords were damaged.
25:33
SPEAKER_03: I had to go to an airnose throat.
25:35
SPEAKER_03: She's and she's like, They scoped you.
25:36
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and she was like, Yes, which by the way is uncomfortable.
25:40
SPEAKER_03: Like, you don't need that camera going into it.
25:42
SPEAKER_00: Never done it.
25:42
SPEAKER_03: Um, it's terrible.
25:43
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
25:44
SPEAKER_03: Um, but she's like, you just have to take a vowel silence, which is really hard for a chick.
25:48
SPEAKER_03: Like that.
25:48
SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh.
25:49
SPEAKER_03: Really hard.
25:50
SPEAKER_03: I would have to carry a border out.
25:52
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, coffee, like that's crazy.
25:57
SPEAKER_03: I know.
25:58
SPEAKER_03: I've never had that bad.

SPEAKER_00: No way.
26:55
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
26:55
SPEAKER_00: Oh, but you seem like you have a lot of time.
26:56

SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
27:08
SPEAKER_00: Well, no, you're way more than that.
27:10
SPEAKER_00: But I get what you're saying.
27:11
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
27:11
SPEAKER_03: I mean, I have my assistant, he's been with me a long time.
27:13
SPEAKER_03: He handles my other job too.
27:15
SPEAKER_03: And I can tell you honestly, I have the greatest media team in Nancy.
27:19
SPEAKER_00: That's so cool.
27:19
SPEAKER_03: They're family to me, clutch social, check them out.
27:22

27:26
SPEAKER_00: I do.
27:26
SPEAKER_00: I need to not, though.
27:27
SPEAKER_03: They should be like, I'll give you Hope's number.
27:29
SPEAKER_03: You gotta do that.
27:29
SPEAKER_03: I would love to.
27:30
SPEAKER_03: And you will love them.
27:31
SPEAKER_03: She's we all went out to dinner last night, and it's such a cool feeling to know that you're flying into a city and artists are excited to see you and they want to take you out to dinner.
27:41
SPEAKER_03: Like it's such a good feeling.
27:43
SPEAKER_03: I love that if people are just they're excited for your presence.
27:46
SPEAKER_00: So it's so exciting.
27:48
SPEAKER_00: It's like a big party.
27:49
SPEAKER_03: I can't even like stepping on a stage where people have paid to see you.
27:53
SPEAKER_00: It's like the best drug in the world.
27:55
SPEAKER_00: Oh, I think there's no other high.
27:57
SPEAKER_03: I can only imagine.
27:58
SPEAKER_03: And people sacrifice a lot to be able to follow artists.
28:02
SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
28:02
SPEAKER_00: And when people show up to your show, they got a babysitter.
28:05
SPEAKER_00: They took time off.
28:07
SPEAKER_00: Like they bought tickets.
28:08
SPEAKER_00: Like it's a huge deal, and I do not take that lightly at all.
28:11
SPEAKER_03: I'm sure you don't.
28:12
SPEAKER_03: I give you all of it.
28:13
SPEAKER_03: Can we get you a bar on Broadway?
28:15
SPEAKER_00: Wait, oh yeah.
28:16
SPEAKER_03: Let's that's gonna be.
28:17
SPEAKER_00: What would we name it?
28:18
SPEAKER_00: Oh Jesse G Spot.
28:21
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Jesse G Spot would be the best name for a bar.
28:24
SPEAKER_03: We'll put it right next to like uh like who just opened uh post Maloney.
28:29
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
28:30
SPEAKER_00: Or Jelly Rolls Bar.
28:31
SPEAKER_00: That'd be great.
28:31
SPEAKER_03: Right next to Jelly Rolls Bar who like transformed his life.
28:34
SPEAKER_03: Every time I look at Jelly Roll, I'm like, he doesn't even look like that.
28:36
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't even recognize him anymore.
28:37
SPEAKER_00: He looks great.
28:38
SPEAKER_00: God listened.
28:38
SPEAKER_00: He's doing it the healthy way too.
28:40
SPEAKER_03: He is, and he's a lover of humans and giving back.
28:42
SPEAKER_00: Yes, we love those people on our cool seeing him go into a prison and speak to them about turning their past and their purpose and all that.
28:51
SPEAKER_00: It's like, I love you, man.
28:52
SPEAKER_00: That's like God's work.
28:53
SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's totally totally work.
28:57
SPEAKER_00: So cool.
28:58
SPEAKER_03: I, during the whole pandemic thing, I went into I didn't get vaccinated, but I went in to a CVS and there was an older man and he was terrified.
29:06
SPEAKER_03: Like legitimately terrified.
29:07
SPEAKER_03: And I'm standing on, I go, I'm gonna sit with you, I'm gonna hold your hand.
29:10
SPEAKER_03: Everything's gonna be all right.
29:10
SPEAKER_03: We're gonna, I'm just gonna have to do that.
29:12
SPEAKER_00: That's what Jesus would do too.
29:12
SPEAKER_00: And God's God's work.
29:14
SPEAKER_03: Well, I milked that, Jess.
29:16
SPEAKER_03: Like I wrote on God's work.
29:17
SPEAKER_03: Like, I'm like, back up.
29:21
SPEAKER_03: Doing God's work.
29:22
SPEAKER_00: Like literally.
29:23
SPEAKER_00: Listen, I did God's work two weeks ago, okay?
29:26
SPEAKER_00: Right.
29:26
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, right.
29:27
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, when's your second vaccination?
29:29
SPEAKER_03: I've got to get like we need to get back.
29:31
SPEAKER_03: Like it was really, I milked the God's work.
29:33
SPEAKER_03: Like, if I was tired, I'm like, I am doing God's work.
29:37
SPEAKER_03: I need to rest.
29:37
SPEAKER_03: I'm doing God's work.
29:39
SPEAKER_03: Like everyone's like, shut up with the God's work.
29:41
unknown: I love you.
29:42
SPEAKER_03: It was he was terrified, like a little bit terrified.
29:45
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, I got you.
29:46
SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna leave you.
29:47
SPEAKER_00: I understand though.
29:47
SPEAKER_00: That was wild.
29:48
SPEAKER_00: Totally.
29:49
SPEAKER_03: It was just a bad time.
29:50
SPEAKER_03: Like everybody was scared.
29:52
SPEAKER_00: Everything.
29:52
SPEAKER_00: Like, don't worry about it.
29:54
SPEAKER_03: Right, it was.
29:54
SPEAKER_03: It was the most horrific time.
29:56
SPEAKER_03: But I mean, it's I mean, he was terrified.
29:59
SPEAKER_03: We don't leave people broken.
30:01
SPEAKER_03: No.
30:01
SPEAKER_03: That's what we're doing.
30:02
SPEAKER_03: We put it back together.
30:03
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
30:03
SPEAKER_03: We get them through what we need to do.
30:04
SPEAKER_00: That's how we get stronger.
30:05
SPEAKER_00: What is that?
30:06
SPEAKER_00: The redwood trees, their roots are all connected under the trees.
30:08
SPEAKER_00: You're all connected, yeah.
30:09
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so they're stronger together.
30:11
SPEAKER_03: He was so grateful.
30:12
SPEAKER_00: I love that.
30:13
SPEAKER_03: He was ridiculous.
30:14
SPEAKER_00: You were his redwood tree.
30:15
SPEAKER_03: Right.
30:15
SPEAKER_03: You were his redwood tree.
30:17
SPEAKER_03: I know, I know.
30:17
SPEAKER_03: And the pharmacist was like, I think I was getting like mucineks or something.
30:23
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
30:23
SPEAKER_03: Like, you're just gonna have.
30:25
SPEAKER_03: Like, yeah, I don't like to leave.
30:27
SPEAKER_00: Maybe you taught him a lesson.
30:28
SPEAKER_03: I hope so.
30:29
SPEAKER_03: I hope I did, because I think pharmacists at that point where they were, you know, go through drive-through it, they were probably like, what?
30:34
SPEAKER_03: Like you couldn't pay those people enough money.
30:36
SPEAKER_00: For real.
30:36
SPEAKER_03: I think anybody that made it in healthcare through that, like, damn, some President Trump sent those people some bonuses.
30:42
SPEAKER_00: Right.
30:42
SPEAKER_03: I mean, and that's the way I feel about the military too.
30:45
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, please treat them the best immediately.
30:49
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
30:49
SPEAKER_03: We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for people like your husband that were brave enough.
30:53
SPEAKER_00: There's some things that they do amazingly, like the VA loan, like being able to build our dream home, things like that.
31:00
SPEAKER_00: Like, very grateful for that.
31:02
SPEAKER_01: But absolutely.
31:03
SPEAKER_00: But there's some things that they need to get better on and help our veterans opt a little more.
31:07
SPEAKER_03: And I feel like we're heading in that direction because I think for a long time we didn't talk about mental illness, we didn't talk about trauma, you know, and now I feel like it's okay.
31:16
SPEAKER_03: It's okay.
31:17
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're treating it like you're sick, you know.
31:20
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and as it should be, as it should be.
31:22
SPEAKER_03: No adult should have to wait 20 years or three.
31:26
SPEAKER_03: I have full 50, 60, 70-year-old people have been carrying that trauma for 70 years.
31:32
SPEAKER_00: It's so sad.
31:33
SPEAKER_03: And when they get their life back, it's so liberating.
31:36
SPEAKER_03: Their confidence goes up.
31:37
SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
31:38
SPEAKER_03: It's just amazing.
31:39
SPEAKER_03: We should really I'm with veterans.
31:41
SPEAKER_00: There's new therapies out too, right now, that I'm like super excited about.
31:45
SPEAKER_00: Totally.
31:46
SPEAKER_00: They're finally getting they're going outside the box now, and we're not plant-based therapy as much anymore.
31:51
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
31:52
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
31:52
SPEAKER_03: Bravo.
31:53
SPEAKER_03: Bravo to not, you know, for that we're not.
31:57
unknown: Yeah.
31:57
SPEAKER_03: And this is so Alan, I was telling you, he's our sponsor for today.
32:01
SPEAKER_03: Super cool guy.
32:02
SPEAKER_00: And he this is his beer.
32:03
SPEAKER_00: This is his beer.
32:03
SPEAKER_03: He's a veteran, wife's a veteran.
32:05
SPEAKER_03: Ten percent of their sales go back to veterans for them for the animals for Patriot Paws and to help suit stop suicide.
32:16
SPEAKER_00: Can I try one?
32:16
SPEAKER_03: Oh totally.
32:17
SPEAKER_03: You want a cold one?
32:18
SPEAKER_03: Hold on.
32:18
SPEAKER_03: I think we have some cold ones in there.
32:21
SPEAKER_03: But uh that's looks awesome.
32:24
SPEAKER_03: I know.
32:25
SPEAKER_03: He's so great.
32:25
SPEAKER_03: And like totally he's got the same breed of me that we help each other.
32:31
SPEAKER_00: I love that.
32:32
SPEAKER_03: Like we just we have to help each other.
32:33
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
32:34
SPEAKER_03: We're all just trying to get through.
32:35
SPEAKER_00: I and I love that, you know, because your platform is perfect with something like this.
32:40
SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, you don't need to be able to do that.
32:41
SPEAKER_00: It compliments.
32:42
SPEAKER_03: I literally sweet has such a soft spot for people.
32:46
SPEAKER_03: I have girls that are deployed.
32:48
SPEAKER_00: Freedom Brew.
32:48
SPEAKER_03: Freedom Brew.
32:49
SPEAKER_00: Veteran-owned operating American Lauger.
32:52
SPEAKER_00: All right.
32:52
SPEAKER_00: Um I feel like I need to get this.
32:54
SPEAKER_00: Such a good guy.
32:54
SPEAKER_03: It's happy hour.
32:56
SPEAKER_03: It's happy hour, everyone.
32:58
SPEAKER_00: Ooh.
32:59
SPEAKER_00: Take my gum out.
33:01
SPEAKER_03: Here's to you, Alan.
33:02
SPEAKER_00: Here's to you, Alan.
33:03
SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
33:03
SPEAKER_00: Here's to you.
33:04
SPEAKER_00: Thank you for your service.
33:06
SPEAKER_03: Yes, and thank you for protecting these veterans that need it so much.
33:10
SPEAKER_03: I gotta still run on my diet coke.
33:12
SPEAKER_00: That's good.
33:13
SPEAKER_03: Mouth watering?
33:14
SPEAKER_00: That's amazing.
33:15
SPEAKER_03: So take some home with you.
33:16
SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna drink this on the podcast.
33:18
SPEAKER_00: Please do.
33:18
SPEAKER_00: It's happy hour.
33:19
SPEAKER_03: Please do.
33:20
SPEAKER_03: So where are you performing next?
33:22
SPEAKER_03: So I Are you done now between now and the new year or no?
33:25
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
33:25
SPEAKER_00: I am, I think.
33:27
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
33:28
SPEAKER_00: I wish my husband was right here.
33:29
SPEAKER_00: He tour manages.
33:30
SPEAKER_00: So he always is like, we have this, this, and this.
33:33
SPEAKER_00: And I'm always like, just tell me what I gotta do too.
33:35
SPEAKER_00: Where do I need to be?
33:36
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
33:36
SPEAKER_00: But um we performed all weekend this weekend, um, here in Nashville, actually.
33:41
SPEAKER_00: Lovely.
33:42
SPEAKER_00: Which is rare.
33:43
SPEAKER_03: Right.
33:43
SPEAKER_03: I normally so hard, like it's so funny.
33:45
SPEAKER_03: I think when people think Nashville, they think all the artists are just on Broadway.
33:48
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no.
33:49
SPEAKER_00: Mostly if you're an artist singing your own songs and you're not, you know, jelly roll level yet, right?
33:56
SPEAKER_00: Then you go, you tour outside of Nashville.
33:58
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's how you do it.
33:59
SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
33:59
SPEAKER_03: You have to go where your fans are.
34:01
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so you gotta make a name outside of just this little community.
34:04
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, amen.
34:05
SPEAKER_00: And you yeah, you gotta find your pockets of fans and stuff.
34:08
SPEAKER_00: And it's actually kind of cool because you can see on your Spotify and all that, you can see where your fans are at because it shows you.
34:15
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm sure you said the same thing probably.
34:17
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, absolutely.
34:18
SPEAKER_03: We know, like we know the age range, and yeah.
34:21
SPEAKER_00: It's pretty cool.
34:21
SPEAKER_00: So it is cool.
34:22
SPEAKER_03: It is cool.
34:23
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I I'm taking a little bit of a break.
34:25
SPEAKER_00: Um, I also started a songwriter festival with me and my husband did, yeah.
34:28
SPEAKER_00: Um, Destin Songwriter Festival in Destin, Florida.
34:31
SPEAKER_00: Florida?
34:31
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
34:32
SPEAKER_03: When is the next one?
34:33
SPEAKER_00: Uh come uh in October.
34:34
SPEAKER_03: I want to be, I want to shoot.
34:36
SPEAKER_03: Yes, come on.
34:36
SPEAKER_03: I totally would just love shooting.
34:38
SPEAKER_00: Maybe we'll have you come host and stuff.
34:39
SPEAKER_03: I would love it.
34:40
SPEAKER_03: I would love to.
34:42
SPEAKER_00: Okay, we gotta have you out.
34:43
SPEAKER_03: Totally would be honored to do that.
34:45
SPEAKER_03: I would be honored to have you.
34:46
SPEAKER_03: If you start your own festival.
34:48
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know.
34:48
SPEAKER_00: Build a house, have a baby, start a festival, go on tour.
34:51
SPEAKER_03: That's so amazing.
34:52
SPEAKER_03: So you did it last year?
34:53
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was great.
34:54
SPEAKER_00: Right after you had the baby?
34:56
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
34:57
SPEAKER_00: Well, not right after.
34:58
SPEAKER_00: I mean October.
34:59
SPEAKER_00: So a couple months.
35:00
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I got a little five.
35:02
SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
35:02
SPEAKER_00: You don't want to be down there any other time.
35:04
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because it's cold here and it's beautiful there.
35:06
SPEAKER_03: How many artists did you have?
35:08
SPEAKER_00: We had oh man, well, perspective, three stages starting at noon all day long for two straight days.
35:16
SPEAKER_00: So, and they're writers rounds, so it's only five songs.
35:19
SPEAKER_00: It's like three artists on stage, Nashville style.
35:22
SPEAKER_00: Right.
35:22
SPEAKER_00: One song, one song, one song.
35:23
SPEAKER_00: You know, that's amazing.
35:25
SPEAKER_00: We had a lot of people.
35:26
SPEAKER_03: Did you give a lot of turnout?
35:27
SPEAKER_00: Yes, it was great.
35:28
SPEAKER_00: And the city was like so pumped, the mayor was behind it.
35:31
SPEAKER_00: Like, so this year's gonna be even bigger.
35:34
SPEAKER_00: Um, they like all the resorts are calling us, wanting to be involved.
35:38
SPEAKER_03: Loved you start your own little try it.
35:41
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, totally, Alan.
35:44
SPEAKER_03: Come on, Alan.
35:45
SPEAKER_03: He would love it.
35:46
SPEAKER_03: He would love it.
35:47
SPEAKER_03: It was good.
35:48
SPEAKER_03: I was really, it was funny because when we were talking, he's like, My daughter's never been, she wants me to bring.
35:51
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, I don't know if I'm the best example, but you can't work with me.
35:56
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Yes, you are.
35:57
SPEAKER_03: But um, because he wants to, he's gonna come at some point.
36:00
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, maybe you'll get to meet him with the CRS.
36:02
SPEAKER_03: But he's but I'm so proud of you.
36:04
SPEAKER_03: That's amazing.
36:05
SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
36:05
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, it's it's been such a fun while the building year.
36:09
SPEAKER_00: I feel like you it's been a very building year for me.
36:11
SPEAKER_02: That's beautiful.
36:12
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
36:12
SPEAKER_02: Maybe you get to like a little rest.
36:15
SPEAKER_00: Maybe the holidays.
36:16
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
36:17
SPEAKER_00: The holidays.
36:17
SPEAKER_00: I mean, not going anywhere for once.
36:19
SPEAKER_00: For once, we're staying here in Nashville, so it'll be good to just.
36:22
SPEAKER_03: I love this time of year in Nashville.
36:23
SPEAKER_03: I mean, I you gotta get people in between Christmas parties and those kind of things.
36:27
SPEAKER_03: But I mean, it's such a good time.
36:28
SPEAKER_00: And when it snows, it's pretty in Asheville.
36:30
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it is.
36:31
SPEAKER_03: Well, when we shot that CRS, it snowed that morning.
36:34
SPEAKER_03: It did, yeah.
36:34
SPEAKER_03: And I'm from Texas, so like when it snows, it's crippling.
36:37
SPEAKER_03: Oh, jeez.
36:38
SPEAKER_03: It's crippling.
36:39
SPEAKER_00: You know, I mean, I'm not there anymore, but it's very something bad happened like two years ago in Texas with it snowing.
36:46
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and the infrastructure is up.
36:49
SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
36:50
SPEAKER_03: So look it can't be up in Philly, and it can't be up here because the winds would freeze it right.
36:54
SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh, yeah.
36:55
SPEAKER_03: But it just completely shuts down.
36:56
SPEAKER_03: I remember getting the call that morning the first guest was running late because of the snow.
37:00
SPEAKER_03: And you know, we're locked in the omni.
37:02
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
37:03
SPEAKER_03: It's just the press and the artists.
37:04
SPEAKER_03: I'm like outside, I'm like, that's not like real snow.
37:07
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
37:07
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're like, uh, they don't know what snow is.
37:10
SPEAKER_03: That's not what snow is.
37:10
SPEAKER_03: But you know, it's really funny.
37:11
SPEAKER_03: I'm I I'm not a fan of the winter.
37:14
SPEAKER_03: I'm not a fan of I don't like being cold.
37:17
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, me neither.
37:18
SPEAKER_03: And I don't like I don't like it being dark.
37:19
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
37:20
SPEAKER_03: Either.
37:20
SPEAKER_03: Like I'm I'm very affected by light.
37:22
SPEAKER_03: Oh, we need sun.
37:23
SPEAKER_00: Sun is like a healer.
37:25
SPEAKER_03: Totally.
37:26
SPEAKER_03: Like in the case.
37:27
SPEAKER_03: I need this at like my desk, like staring me in the face all the time.
37:31
SPEAKER_00: The fact that my child can get a diaper rash and you just put her bum in the sun and then it cures it.
37:35
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Yes.
37:36
SPEAKER_00: How crazy sun is medicine.
37:38
SPEAKER_03: It is totally medicine and people need to be outside.
37:40
SPEAKER_03: People don't go outside.
37:41
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I think we're all lacking in vitamin D too.
37:44
SPEAKER_00: I think it's been proven or true lacking in vitro and iodine and all that stuff.
37:48
SPEAKER_00: Wow.
37:49
SPEAKER_02: Just take you my kids, get outside.
37:52
SPEAKER_02: Yes, they are.
37:53
SPEAKER_00: They need to eat that dirt.
37:54
SPEAKER_00: Totally.
37:54
SPEAKER_03: That's how they build an immune system.
37:56
SPEAKER_03: People that keep their kids clean all the time like that kid's gonna be sick as shit the rest of his life.
38:00
SPEAKER_00: Yes, that's why we bought five acres here because I was like, I want my girls to ride dirt bikes, I want them to play in the dirt.
38:06
SPEAKER_00: I want them to know that life.
38:08
SPEAKER_00: Amen.
38:08
SPEAKER_00: In Nashville, we're all piled up, like we're all piled on top of each other in town.
38:13
SPEAKER_02: Where did you build?
38:14
SPEAKER_00: Uh, West Nashville.
38:15
SPEAKER_00: Nice.
38:15
SPEAKER_00: It's like the only remaining space in Nashville.
38:18
SPEAKER_00: Like everybody's got farms out that way.
38:20
SPEAKER_00: So, and a lot of famous people live on our road, which is like pretty cool.
38:23
SPEAKER_00: Like the houses are gorgeous.
38:25
SPEAKER_00: You have to come out.
38:25
SPEAKER_03: I would have a little guest house.
38:27
SPEAKER_03: What?
38:27
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's a barn dominium.
38:29
SPEAKER_00: So there are two like all black John and Cash style barn domains.
38:33
SPEAKER_03: I would be honored.
38:34
SPEAKER_03: I would be honored.
38:35
SPEAKER_03: I would have that what was your favorite thing about the house?
38:37
SPEAKER_00: Um, I designed it all our well, we both, me and my husband, but he he knows me.
38:41
SPEAKER_00: He's like, all right, babe.
38:43
SPEAKER_00: Right, I know.
38:44
SPEAKER_00: You can have a house in the big closet.
38:46
SPEAKER_03: And he's like, I think I'm like, that's not necessary.
38:50
SPEAKER_03: You keep your thinking for other things.
38:52
SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
38:52
SPEAKER_00: I was like, no, I want to see the kids from the kitchen.
38:55
SPEAKER_00: I want to have like a line of sight, all ranch style.
38:57
SPEAKER_00: I don't like going upstairs.
38:59
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I live in a rancher, too.
39:00
SPEAKER_00: It's so great.
39:01
SPEAKER_03: We have basements.
39:02
SPEAKER_03: Do you have a basement?
39:03
SPEAKER_00: We should have because the tornadoes are wild here.
39:06
SPEAKER_03: Totally, yeah.
39:06
SPEAKER_03: We have a basement.
39:07
SPEAKER_03: But I mean, in Pennsylvania, the houses are built, they're older, but they're structurally sound and real, real fireplaces.
39:15
SPEAKER_03: Like and real wood.
39:17
SPEAKER_00: I wanted to do a fireplace.
39:18
SPEAKER_00: It was just gonna be so much extra everything, like money, permitting, like all the things.
39:23
SPEAKER_03: I know it's ridiculous, isn't it?
39:25
SPEAKER_03: I mean, even to have people we bought the house and then we I'm like, just send them in.
39:29
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, send them in and and like get it done.
39:31
SPEAKER_03: But it's like, I mean, I don't even know how young people afford to buy houses.
39:34
SPEAKER_00: It's crazy.
39:35
SPEAKER_00: If we didn't have the VA loan, we wouldn't have been able to do the dream layout.
39:38
SPEAKER_00: Five acres in Nashville is it was more for our land than our house.
39:42
SPEAKER_00: Right.
39:43
SPEAKER_00: Isn't that crazy?
39:44
SPEAKER_03: It is so crazy.
39:45
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but it's worth it.
39:47
SPEAKER_03: But we're 10 minutes from downtown.
39:48
SPEAKER_03: And you have an amazing investment.
39:50
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
39:50
SPEAKER_03: You have an amazing and your kids will just love growing up there.
39:53
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'll probably try to send them to private school just because Tennessee schools aren't known for the best.
40:00
SPEAKER_03: It's affordable to live here, which is great.
40:01
SPEAKER_03: It's a big affordable.
40:02
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's very affordable to live here.
40:04
SPEAKER_03: But I get it.
40:05
SPEAKER_03: That's okay.
40:06
SPEAKER_03: I sent my daughter to private school.
40:07
SPEAKER_03: I sent her to Catholic school.
40:08
SPEAKER_03: I'm not a mom.
40:09
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I I was a public school girl, so I'm like, and look at you, you're perfectly fine.
40:12
SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
40:13
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
40:13
SPEAKER_00: But I didn't really learn much.
40:15
SPEAKER_00: Right.
40:16
SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
40:16
SPEAKER_03: You learned what you needed to learn, girl.
40:18
SPEAKER_03: You made it.
40:19
SPEAKER_03: You did it.
40:19
SPEAKER_00: I learned how to survive.
40:20
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
40:20
SPEAKER_03: You learned how to survive.
40:21
SPEAKER_03: I think that's all.
40:22
SPEAKER_03: They're life skills that we're teaching.
40:24
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
40:24
SPEAKER_03: You start teaching kids lessons.
40:25
SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's better anyway.
40:26
SPEAKER_03: I think if I taught my daughter anything, it was that you like you can talk yourself in or out, like you know anything.
40:34
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
40:34
SPEAKER_00: Don't let me know how you know.
40:35
SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
40:36
SPEAKER_00: And also, no one really knows what they're doing.
40:38
SPEAKER_00: We're all just we're just all just figuring it out one day at a time.
40:41
SPEAKER_03: We're all figuring it out along the way.
40:43
SPEAKER_00: That's like I thought when I first moved here, somebody knew somebody had the box.
40:48
SPEAKER_00: There's a secret box.
40:49
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
40:49
SPEAKER_00: Like, how do I get that door open?
40:51
SPEAKER_00: Nobody's got the box.
40:51
SPEAKER_03: Nobody's got the box.
40:53
SPEAKER_00: That's empowering to finally learn that.
40:55
SPEAKER_03: That nobody has the box.
40:56
SPEAKER_03: And being authentic is having your own box.
40:58
SPEAKER_00: Amen.
40:59
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
40:59
SPEAKER_03: You know, we talked a lot on the show too about the power of not giving a shit with people then.
41:04
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
41:05
SPEAKER_00: Like that's alongside with the box.
41:07
SPEAKER_00: It's like, yes.
41:08
SPEAKER_03: It's the box friend.
41:09
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
41:09
SPEAKER_03: The box is definitely.
41:10
SPEAKER_03: That's what's in the box.
41:11
SPEAKER_03: That's what's in the box, right?
41:12
SPEAKER_03: Because we're such a society of like you know, like you just have to be authentic.
41:18
SPEAKER_03: It's the best way to show up.
41:20
SPEAKER_00: It took a really long time for me to learn that.
41:21
SPEAKER_00: I feel like in my 30s, probably I really embraced it.
41:25
SPEAKER_00: But it's just I was just like trying to be something, and then I'm like, you know, there are moments where I'm like, oh gosh, you know, am I the right person to be doing that or like imposter syndrome or whatever?
41:35
SPEAKER_00: Right.
41:35
SPEAKER_00: Um, and then I'm just like, well, I'm here in this, this is my opportunity.
41:39
SPEAKER_00: Where I'm supposed to be.
41:40
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
41:41
SPEAKER_00: And so just I am who I am.
41:43
SPEAKER_00: Right.
41:43
SPEAKER_00: Let's go.
41:44
SPEAKER_03: A hundred percent.
41:45
SPEAKER_03: And I totally get that.
41:46
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, people that show up authentic, you know it.
41:48
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
41:49
SPEAKER_03: You just totally know it.
41:50
SPEAKER_03: Like you know that they're real people.
41:52
SPEAKER_03: And yeah.
41:53
SPEAKER_03: The power of just not give I you know, I'm from Texas.
41:55
SPEAKER_03: So I say to my husband, like, big hair, don't care.
41:57
SPEAKER_00: Yes, I love it.
41:58
SPEAKER_00: So I don't care.
41:59
SPEAKER_00: Higher the hair, closer to God.
42:00
SPEAKER_03: And I closer to God.
42:01
SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, it doesn't what how is their I'm gonna let their opinion shape my or affect my mood or my relationships or my show.
42:09
SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, you can't.
42:10
SPEAKER_03: It you can't.
42:11
SPEAKER_03: I think that's the best advice.
42:12
SPEAKER_03: Our lady viewers, please, and our men too, but like just put it in your fucking bucket.
42:18
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
42:18
SPEAKER_00: Not the sooner you do that, like you find your people.
42:21
SPEAKER_03: Spraying doors that you were pulling open.
42:25
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
42:26
SPEAKER_00: Well, the right one's open.
42:27
SPEAKER_00: Totally.
42:27
SPEAKER_00: And then good.
42:28
SPEAKER_00: Thank you for not being the right door.
42:30
SPEAKER_00: Right.
42:30
SPEAKER_00: Locked door.
42:31
SPEAKER_00: Karen.
42:32
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Karen.
42:33
SPEAKER_00: Keep your door.
42:34
SPEAKER_03: Did you just call me Karen?
42:37
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, did you?
42:38
SPEAKER_00: You are like the opposite of a Karen.
42:40
SPEAKER_03: I am the direct opposite of a Karen.
42:42
SPEAKER_03: I mean, I got my shit for sure.
42:44
SPEAKER_03: You know, I mean, I'm extra, but like, Karen?
42:47
SPEAKER_03: Like, I don't really give a shit.
42:49
SPEAKER_00: Also, like that we put a uh a certain stereotype to a name cracks me up.
42:54
SPEAKER_00: I know.
42:54
SPEAKER_00: Like a Chad or like a.
42:55
SPEAKER_03: Can you imagine like all the parents that I bet they don't name Karen?
42:58
SPEAKER_03: Named Karen.
42:58
SPEAKER_03: God damn.
42:59
SPEAKER_03: I bet there hasn't been one.
43:01
SPEAKER_03: Oh, laugh.
43:02
SPEAKER_03: Look this up.
43:02
SPEAKER_03: How many babies have been born named Karen after this?
43:07
SPEAKER_03: Like.
43:07
SPEAKER_00: I wonder.
43:08
SPEAKER_03: What if it was a family name?
43:10
SPEAKER_03: Like, what a bunch of assholes.
43:12
SPEAKER_03: Karen.
43:13
SPEAKER_00: Or the person that is Karen that's really cool.
43:15
SPEAKER_00: Totally.
43:15
SPEAKER_00: And as well.
43:16
SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
43:17
SPEAKER_00: She's probably.
43:17
SPEAKER_00: She's calling Kate.
43:18
SPEAKER_03: She's probably Betty.
43:20
