- 0:05Speaker 1: NFL Now is a production of the NFL in partnership
- 0:08Speaker 1: with I Heart Radio. All Right, Week twelve is over.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Time to turn the page two. Week thirteen. We have
- 0:21Speaker 1: some great games, have a couple of playoff clinching scenarios.
- 0:24Speaker 1: We got a lot of news coming up this hour
- 0:26Speaker 1: and a preview momentarily of another Bangals playoff rematch last
- 0:31Speaker 1: week Tennessee. This week Kansas City, NFL Now, NFL Network.
- 0:34Speaker 1: We're here every day. Thank you for being here. My
- 0:36Speaker 1: name is Andrew Ceciliano. Let's open up with Aaron Rodgers news.
- 0:39Speaker 1: The injury news. Is he gonna be able to go
- 0:41Speaker 1: this week with rib and thumb injuries. He's battled through
- 0:46Speaker 1: the thumb injury. Now the rib thing, Tom Hello, Sero,
- 0:50Speaker 1: Mike Gara, Folo with me, Mike. Aaron Rodgers had something
- 0:54Speaker 1: to say today. What was it? He did on the
- 0:57Speaker 1: Pat McAfee show. I'm gonna get that plug right away.
- 1:00Speaker 1: One time I was on the McAfee show was when
- 1:02Speaker 1: I was looking over Rappaport shoulder, Ian was doing the
- 1:06Speaker 1: show and I said, you know, hey, I'm finally on
- 1:08Speaker 1: the McAfee show, and he said, no, no, you made
- 1:10Speaker 1: a comment. One time on the air, But I said
- 1:12Speaker 1: made a comment about what Tuesday's a black hole for
- 1:15Speaker 1: NFL news, and you provide news with an Aaron Rodgers interview.
- 1:19Speaker 1: So Pat McAfee show than just talk about Rogers saying
- 1:23Speaker 1: on the air that he got good news on his
- 1:25Speaker 1: scans regarding his ribs and he plans to play this
- 1:28Speaker 1: weekend against the Bears. Uh. He said he knew it
- 1:31Speaker 1: halftime when he was trying to stretch things out he
- 1:33Speaker 1: got hit earlier in the game. He said, yeah, I
- 1:35Speaker 1: realized it wasn't a muscle injury, and he had remembered
- 1:38Speaker 1: Randall Cobb amongst other players who suffered a punctured lung
- 1:41Speaker 1: because sometimes you can get that c J. Gardner Johnson,
- 1:44Speaker 1: whom Tom is going to talk about in a second here,
- 1:46Speaker 1: I'm stealing his thunder as well. Um. So, Roger said
- 1:49Speaker 1: he just wanted to make sure nothing serious was wrong,
- 1:51Speaker 1: so he plans to play through it as long as
- 1:53Speaker 1: the team is mathematically still alive, which Andrew you noted
- 1:57Speaker 1: they are not in the division, but they are for
- 1:59Speaker 1: the playoffs. That hit was a journey right there. Let's
- 2:04Speaker 1: talk a little bit more about Aaron Rodgers and Jordan's
- 2:08Speaker 1: loved who replaced him in that game when Rodgers had
- 2:11Speaker 1: to do something that he said in that Pat McAfee
- 2:13Speaker 1: show interview. He does not like to do which has
- 2:16Speaker 1: come out of the game. And that's a mentality that
- 2:18Speaker 1: Rogers learned at least or watched from Brett Farve when
- 2:21Speaker 1: he was the quarterback in front of Rodgers for several years.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Farv never wanted to come out of any game. He
- 2:27Speaker 1: started two d seventy plus games in a row, and
- 2:30Speaker 1: a big driving force behind that was Farv, who had
- 2:33Speaker 1: taken over for an injured Don Mikowski way back in
- 2:37Speaker 1: thought well, if I ever come out of a game,
- 2:39Speaker 1: the same thing could happened to me. So what happens
- 2:41Speaker 1: In two thousand seven Farv gets hurt in a game
- 2:44Speaker 1: on a Thursday night in Dallas. Rodgers comes in and
- 2:47Speaker 1: Rogers had not played well when he got to play
- 2:49Speaker 1: in two thousand five. In OH six, he played and
- 2:51Speaker 1: he immediately broke his ankle, gets out there at OH
- 2:54Speaker 1: seven and lit it up and showed why. After that
- 2:57Speaker 1: season they pressed Brett far for an answer and they
- 2:59Speaker 1: ended up moving forward with Aaron Rodgers. Well. Almost fifteen
- 3:02Speaker 1: years to the day, Aaron Rodgers had to come out
- 3:05Speaker 1: of a game because of what he feared was a
- 3:08Speaker 1: punctured lung ends up being a rib injury, he says,
- 3:10Speaker 1: And the Packers say that they want him to play.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Roger says that he intends to play this week. We
- 3:15Speaker 1: gotta look at Jordan's Love in that game, and it
- 3:18Speaker 1: was a much more calm, confident, comfortable Jordan's Love than
- 3:22Speaker 1: we've seen. They obviously were productive. It helps when he
- 3:25Speaker 1: got Christian Watson just running past everybody out there. But
- 3:27Speaker 1: the way Love operated that offense really impressed people. With
- 3:31Speaker 1: the Packers. That's something you file away andrew in the
- 3:33Speaker 1: back of your head, even though back in two thousand
- 3:36Speaker 1: eight Brett Favre wasn't due a sixty million dollars fully
- 3:39Speaker 1: guaranteed the following year. No, I'm I'm connecting the dots here.
- 3:41Speaker 1: I think what you're saying, Tom, is that in this
- 3:44Speaker 1: coming off season Aaron Rodgers verge of getting traded to
- 3:49Speaker 1: the Bucket Ears will all of a sudden be traded
- 3:52Speaker 1: to the Jets. But I was the filibuster right now,
- 3:57Speaker 1: Tom has Gardner Johnson, which I assume you did not
- 4:02Speaker 1: get from the Kelsey Brothers podcast. No, I got it
- 4:06Speaker 1: from Mike a minute ago when he stole my thunder
- 4:09Speaker 1: on that. But yes, Johnson Gardner Johnson suffered what I
- 4:12Speaker 1: have told it's a lacerated kidney. Is a lacerated kidney.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Kidneys certainly no laughing matter for Johnson. Gardner Johnson had
- 4:21Speaker 1: to drop out of that game on Sunday Night against
- 4:24Speaker 1: the Packers. He leads the NFL in interceptions right now,
- 4:27Speaker 1: this is not a surgical injury. I'm told he's still
- 4:30Speaker 1: undergoing more tests, so timetable to be determined as of now,
- 4:34Speaker 1: sidelined indefinitely. The Eagles believe though, this is not a
- 4:37Speaker 1: season ending injury, so hope that by the playoff run
- 4:39Speaker 1: Gardner Johnson will be back. For now, it's Marcus Epps
- 4:42Speaker 1: who has played every snap on defense this season. He's
- 4:45Speaker 1: one of the guys who helps everybody get lined up
- 4:47Speaker 1: on the field, a really important role. And then re
- 4:49Speaker 1: blanket Ship. We took over for Gardner Johnson and walked
- 4:51Speaker 1: right into his first career interception, and yep he did,
- 4:54Speaker 1: and he picked off Aaron Rodgers. You guys actually do
- 4:57Speaker 1: have your own podcast, the Insiders Podcast. We addressed down
- 5:00Speaker 1: to workout gear and you know, give all the news
- 5:02Speaker 1: like on that podcast. You might not like the cast yet,
- 5:05Speaker 1: but maybe soon. It's on Fatty TV platforms a p m.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Eastern Time every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. You can also
- 5:11Speaker 1: watch us on YouTube. Every episode is on demand on
- 5:15Speaker 1: the NFL's YouTube page. You can see us on the
- 5:17Speaker 1: NFL app. We have a TikTok account at The Insider's
- 5:20Speaker 1: NFL But enough about us, Andrew, move on with the show. Okay,
- 5:22Speaker 1: for my dad watching it, I'm Dad. On the remote.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Hit the home button in the YouTube thing will pop
- 5:26Speaker 1: up on the bottom of the screen. That's how how
- 5:28Speaker 1: you find it. And on that Mike will give you
- 5:30Speaker 1: news about Eddie Jacksons of options, Eddie Jackson the Bears
- 5:35Speaker 1: that we're like, we're yucking our way through a bunch
- 5:37Speaker 1: of serious injuries here, so let's let's play straight. Eddie Jackson,
- 5:41Speaker 1: the Bear safety. He went down in a game that
- 5:43Speaker 1: I was covering on Sunday against the Jets, and Garrett
- 5:46Speaker 1: Wilson's running by him and Eddie Jackson's not moving and
- 5:48Speaker 1: you know immediately something is wrong right there. Because Eddie
- 5:51Speaker 1: Jackson's a terrific player, uh and he's a hard nosed player.
- 5:55Speaker 1: So yes, there is something significantly wrong, uh in Eddie
- 5:59Speaker 1: Jackson's foot Ian Rapp report and I are reporting it's
- 6:01Speaker 1: a Liz Frank injury. Now, as Matt eberf Lewis told
- 6:04Speaker 1: the media Monday, they're still gathering information, going through evaluations.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Sometimes this is a surgical thing, sometimes it's not. But
- 6:11Speaker 1: it's that midpoint mid foot joint which can also which
- 6:15Speaker 1: can Allum often excuse me, create plenty of problems and
- 6:18Speaker 1: result in surgery that could be recovery of many months here.
- 6:22Speaker 1: So in the short term, we're just saying he's out indefinitely.
- 6:25Speaker 1: We'll see about a more definite timeline. But you've got
- 6:28Speaker 1: a Bears team that really is not playing for much
- 6:30Speaker 1: down the stretch. They're banged up in a lot of areas.
- 6:32Speaker 1: So if we don't see Eddie Jackson on the field
- 6:34Speaker 1: again this season, which would be a shame because he's
- 6:36Speaker 1: a terrific player to watch, UM would not be surprised, Andrew,
- 6:40Speaker 1: But we have a Bears team that is facing and
- 6:42Speaker 1: all like, just real quick, real quick on that point, Andrew,
- 6:45Speaker 1: I just wanted to say YouTube dot com slash NFL.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Then in the search bar, search the Insiders that brings
- 6:52Speaker 1: up all the recent episodes of our fast TV show.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Or again a p m. Eastern time Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday.
- 6:59Speaker 1: You download to be your Pluto TV, one of those
- 7:01Speaker 1: their free apps right on your smart TV. You can
- 7:03Speaker 1: turn tune to the NFL ELK channel and watch us.
- 7:06Speaker 1: It's more of this board dressed down. We have a
- 7:08Speaker 1: lot of fun. I'm sorry, this is your show you
- 7:10Speaker 1: go on. I mean, if you're on two B you
- 7:13Speaker 1: could also search for The Justice Report, which was a
- 7:15Speaker 1: true crime show that I did about a year and
- 7:17Speaker 1: a half ago. They never got picked up. While while
- 7:19Speaker 1: we're on the top, thank you guys checking that out. Yeah,
- 7:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it now while you're on it. Moving
- 7:27Speaker 1: on to the Cincinnati Bengals, who went into Tennessee last
- 7:30Speaker 1: week and went an a f C Divisional round rematch.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Now they go into Kansas City to try to win
- 7:35Speaker 1: an a f C Championship game rematch and maybe, just
- 7:38Speaker 1: maybe they get to march Chase back for the first
- 7:40Speaker 1: time in a month. But it was just really good
- 7:43Speaker 1: to get him a week of back into football mode
- 7:47Speaker 1: and now next week again take a day to day
- 7:49Speaker 1: to see where he's at and and uh, I think
- 7:51Speaker 1: we all feel better about a guy coming off of
- 7:53Speaker 1: an injury who's actually, how do week of practice? Um,
- 7:56Speaker 1: because that's what you get to do with those I
- 7:58Speaker 1: R guys off sometimes you know, I know he's a
- 8:00Speaker 1: week earlier than that, but you get the twenty one
- 8:01Speaker 1: day window to get him back into the field of
- 8:03Speaker 1: things before you put him back out there on a
- 8:04Speaker 1: game field. And um, so I feel like we've we've
- 8:06Speaker 1: handled this right away, handled it. I mean, Jeff did.
- 8:09Speaker 1: In Kansas City, they went three and one. Actually, they
- 8:12Speaker 1: looked really bad in the first game without Jamaar Chase.
- 8:14Speaker 1: They lost to the Browns. Then have ripped off three
- 8:16Speaker 1: straight wins anyway, Kansas City there, Um, they had a
- 8:19Speaker 1: lot of soul searching after that loss. They seem to
- 8:22Speaker 1: have come out of it pretty well. What they learned
- 8:24Speaker 1: from the a f C title game, We'll take care
- 8:27Speaker 1: of business when you have the opportunity to. And we
- 8:30Speaker 1: all know what happened in both the a f C
- 8:32Speaker 1: Championship Game and the regular season lost they had to
- 8:35Speaker 1: the Bengals got out to a big lead and then
- 8:37Speaker 1: fell apart in the second half, and the Bengals won
- 8:39Speaker 1: those games. Patrick Mahomes said that it's really hard to
- 8:42Speaker 1: go back and look at the film with those games
- 8:44Speaker 1: and to know what could have been. But he also
- 8:46Speaker 1: said that Chiefs and at halftime of that AFC Championship game,
- 8:49Speaker 1: went into the went into the half feeling like they
- 8:52Speaker 1: were going to roll. They were wining Super Bowl, they
- 8:54Speaker 1: were going to winning the Championship. It didn't happen because
- 8:57Speaker 1: the Bengals don't give up. And that's what they realized
- 9:00Speaker 1: is that no matter what happens in this game, no
- 9:02Speaker 1: matter how good it looks, no matter how well they
- 9:04Speaker 1: play or how big elide they get, they know the
- 9:07Speaker 1: Bengals are not going to give up. It will continue
- 9:09Speaker 1: to fight them, continue to fight them. And we saw
- 9:13Speaker 1: some g. P Ryan running will really well last week
- 9:16Speaker 1: for the Bengals in place of Joe Mixon, the physical
- 9:19Speaker 1: runner David Long got a stiff arm maybe the first
- 9:21Speaker 1: play from scrimmage. The Chiefs have their own physical runner
- 9:25Speaker 1: now in Isaiah Pacheco, and Andy Reid is starting to
- 9:28Speaker 1: give him the ball more he is and they've been
- 9:31Speaker 1: excited about Pacheco, a seventh round pick throughout this season,
- 9:34Speaker 1: start off as a kick returner and then really worked
- 9:37Speaker 1: his way into the lineup, but they love what he
- 9:39Speaker 1: brings to this offense because, as you said, he's a
- 9:41Speaker 1: very physical, violent runner. He moves the pile, he has
- 9:44Speaker 1: a ton of energy, and he really gives a different
- 9:46Speaker 1: dimension to this offense. And head coach Andy re talked
- 9:50Speaker 1: about just the importance that we finds mean that running
- 9:52Speaker 1: game as they go down to the stretch here, because
- 9:54Speaker 1: he wasn't happy with how they played the second half
- 9:56Speaker 1: of this game, and he wants that offense, that running
- 9:58Speaker 1: game really be clicking because he knows teams are going
- 10:01Speaker 1: to force Patrick Mahomes to sit back and hand the
- 10:04Speaker 1: ball off. Uh, see a lot of coverage and they
- 10:06Speaker 1: have to be able to capitalize with those opportunities. Yep,
- 10:09Speaker 1: and this one's gonna be good. Love it in the
- 10:11Speaker 1: late window. A lot of America watching coming up Sunday
- 10:15Speaker 1: at Arrow and thank you Jeff Shia Bengals and the Chiefs,
- 10:20Speaker 1: and a f C championship game or rematch in Cincinnati
- 10:24Speaker 1: coming up next. Can Mike White do it again? Can
- 10:28Speaker 1: Mike White keep the job? Vikings are a lot different
- 10:31Speaker 1: than the Bears. Straight ahead all Mike White did when
- 10:39Speaker 1: handed the keys to the jet This past week was
- 10:42Speaker 1: do what he did last year in his first game
- 10:44Speaker 1: back Light it up. He threw for three yards, He
- 10:48Speaker 1: threw for three touchdowns. Mike White's getting another shot this
- 10:52Speaker 1: week against the Vikings. Everyone loves Mike. Um, I think
- 10:57Speaker 1: everyone in the locker room really has a genuine appreciation
- 11:00Speaker 1: for each other. But I think when you're having success
- 11:04Speaker 1: and the and it's rolling, and it's it's crap weather
- 11:07Speaker 1: and it's raining, and it's it's fun football, it's fun.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Has Mike's performance caused you to perhaps reconsider the quarterback
- 11:15Speaker 1: plan that you outlined for us on Wednesday, the one
- 11:18Speaker 1: where you said you know you fully intend to get
- 11:21Speaker 1: Zack back on the field this year. No, it's like
- 11:24Speaker 1: I said, We're gonna go week to week. There's there's
- 11:26Speaker 1: things that we'd love to see Zach accomplish over the
- 11:30Speaker 1: course of h We'll call it a reset. But and
- 11:33Speaker 1: this is Mike White's opportunity. That doesn't change. So Mike's
- 11:36Speaker 1: got an opportunity to go stack another great day up
- 11:39Speaker 1: this week, and um, when when we feel like Zack
- 11:43Speaker 1: is ready to roll, he's gonna roll. Much different challenge though,
- 11:47Speaker 1: facing the Vikings with division clinching scenario than the Bears
- 11:52Speaker 1: in the rain at the backup quarter back. Anyway, Tom
- 11:53Speaker 1: Hellisara is gonna be at the game this coming Sunday, Balda,
- 11:56Speaker 1: you were there. You saw it in person in the
- 11:58Speaker 1: rain this past week. What do you make of this
- 12:00Speaker 1: new offense now with Mike White at the helm. It's
- 12:03Speaker 1: a new offense. I mean, first time all year. The
- 12:06Speaker 1: Jets took the opening kickoff and went down the field
- 12:08Speaker 1: and scored. And it was Mike White making quick, accurate decisions.
- 12:13Speaker 1: He threw it to ten different receivers, guys like Elijah More,
- 12:16Speaker 1: who wanted to be traded a month ago. Called his
- 12:18Speaker 1: first touchdown pass. He looked like Christmas Day to Elijah
- 12:21Speaker 1: More in the end zone. Garrett Wilson two touchdown performance. Uh.
- 12:25Speaker 1: He got the ball to to his playmakers and uh,
- 12:28Speaker 1: and he did it in a way that made it
- 12:30Speaker 1: look easy, and everybody felt it in the stadium, everybody
- 12:34Speaker 1: felt it on the locker room. I can clean us
- 12:36Speaker 1: up for coach Solo, real easy. If Mike White goes
- 12:39Speaker 1: out does anything near this against Buffalo Minnesota in the
- 12:44Speaker 1: next two weeks, Uh, he'll be the starting quarterback for
- 12:46Speaker 1: the remainder of the season. Wow, that's a lot Mike
- 12:49Speaker 1: White beating the Vikings and then he gets the Bills.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Keep it going. And I said the same thing. If
- 12:55Speaker 1: he does well, there's no way Zack Wilson gets back in. Now. Granted,
- 12:58Speaker 1: the defense has to do well as well, and they
- 13:01Speaker 1: have to fight away. Tom Pallisery, you're gonna be there
- 13:03Speaker 1: to try to slow down Justin Jefferson, who in front
- 13:06Speaker 1: of a national TV audience on Thanksgiving put on yet
- 13:08Speaker 1: another show not just on the national TV in front
- 13:13Speaker 1: of that huge audience, but also against Bill Belichick, maybe
- 13:16Speaker 1: the greatest defensive coach who's ever lived in watching that
- 13:19Speaker 1: game and Justin Jefferson once again going up against double
- 13:22Speaker 1: and triple coverage making contested catches. I was thinking back
- 13:25Speaker 1: to a game plan that Bill Belichick put together against
- 13:27Speaker 1: the Vikings in two thousand ten when Randy Moss willbe
- 13:30Speaker 1: it later in his career went into New England. Belichick
- 13:33Speaker 1: basically said, we're just gonna put a safety over top
- 13:35Speaker 1: of you the entire game. You're not gonna get the
- 13:37Speaker 1: ball your way. Moss had one catch, one in the
- 13:39Speaker 1: locker room, yelled at some people, didn't make the flight
- 13:42Speaker 1: home and was cut the next day. With Justin Jefferson,
- 13:44Speaker 1: it was similar if you watch the safeties over the
- 13:46Speaker 1: top and I'm sure ball he's broken down all the
- 13:48Speaker 1: tape they were challenging him. He was catching balls in
- 13:51Speaker 1: double and triple coverage. But this has become the norm.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Kevin and O'Connell has given Kirk Cousins the free reign
- 13:57Speaker 1: here to say, hey, this is our best player. Do
- 13:59Speaker 1: you think you've got an opportunity throw the ball up
- 14:01Speaker 1: and let him go make a catch. More often than not,
- 14:03Speaker 1: Jefferson is coming down with those balls. So even beyond
- 14:05Speaker 1: the numbers, the most receiving yards by any players for
- 14:08Speaker 1: three seasons in NFL history, tied with Davante Adams for
- 14:10Speaker 1: the most hundred yard games to the start of season.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Just use your eyes and watch Justin Jefferson weekend and
- 14:16Speaker 1: week out. I know the Cowboys shut him down. It
- 14:19Speaker 1: was a different type of a game, but he just
- 14:21Speaker 1: finds ways to make plays when it doesn't look like
- 14:23Speaker 1: there's really a play to be made. Well, his hidden
- 14:26Speaker 1: skill in all of this time, and I have looked
- 14:28Speaker 1: at all of it is really is his ability to
- 14:32Speaker 1: recognize what a team is doing to him, whether it's
- 14:34Speaker 1: bracket coverage, whether it's you know, trail technique, whatever it is,
- 14:38Speaker 1: He's seen it all and now he sees it so quickly.
- 14:42Speaker 1: So once he sees it, whether it's a bracket coverage,
- 14:44Speaker 1: he runs right through it or whether he sits down
- 14:46Speaker 1: in his own His ability to recognize what you're doing
- 14:50Speaker 1: to him, which is difficult for anybody at any level,
- 14:54Speaker 1: that's really his hidden skill. He he hasn't planned to
- 14:56Speaker 1: get open Tom. Then he hasn't plan once he catches
- 14:59Speaker 1: the ball to like really burn you once the balls
- 15:01Speaker 1: in his hands, but also to recognize the coverage and
- 15:04Speaker 1: how you're trying to take him away and what he's
- 15:06Speaker 1: gonna do to counter it. It's really something to see.
- 15:09Speaker 1: In only a second season, he bounced back from a
- 15:11Speaker 1: three catch day and they're bad loss to the Cowboys
- 15:15Speaker 1: for a nine catch night. For one thirty night, he's
- 15:19Speaker 1: must see TV and he will be against Robert Sala's defense,
- 15:22Speaker 1: Sauce Gardener, whoever is on him coming up on Sunday.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Thank you Tom, Thank you Baldy. Ready for t n
- 15:27Speaker 1: F as you get ready to set your line up
- 15:29Speaker 1: for week thirteen. It is almost that time of the year.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Our NFL Fantasy Live Crew coming up next to tell
- 15:35Speaker 1: you who's trending in the right maybe the wrong direction,
- 15:45Speaker 1: hands off the Jacob stutters to the right. First of
- 15:48Speaker 1: all twenty he's off to the races parents. I don't know,
- 15:52Speaker 1: but he's gonna catch him. Ten ball game. But by
- 15:58Speaker 1: Josh eighties six yards and over time touchdown runners Victory
- 16:04Speaker 1: Las Vegas. Josh Jacobs not only had that walk off touchdown,
- 16:09Speaker 1: he ran off, but he had forty eight point three
- 16:12Speaker 1: Fantasy points. If you had Josh Jacobs and didn't win,
- 16:17Speaker 1: that's your fault if that's the case, But you might
- 16:20Speaker 1: need some help. Here's Patrick Clayboy the Fantasy Live crew
- 16:24Speaker 1: with some help. Week twelve, in real life and in
- 16:28Speaker 1: fantasy football is in the books. But looking ahead to
- 16:30Speaker 1: week thirteen, there are some Week twelve storylines that we
- 16:33Speaker 1: think might not involve the top scores, but you should
- 16:36Speaker 1: pay attention to what you've got. Mike Tee Higgins, he
- 16:39Speaker 1: has just absolutely been bawling out as of late. He's
- 16:42Speaker 1: playing great football with Joe Burrow. We know the connection there,
- 16:45Speaker 1: and now he's gonna get Jamar Chase back opposite of him.
- 16:48Speaker 1: In a game against the Chiefs next week. That could
- 16:50Speaker 1: be super high scoring, especially considering the Chiefs have struggled
- 16:53Speaker 1: allowing a lot of fantasy points and deep balls to
- 16:56Speaker 1: watch seniors this year. Well, it took a while for
- 16:57Speaker 1: Christian Watson to sort of come online in that Packers offense,
- 17:00Speaker 1: but since he has, he has been like gang busters
- 17:03Speaker 1: over the last three games, the space of fourteen days,
- 17:06Speaker 1: twelve jutches for the two and fifty yards and six
- 17:09Speaker 1: touchdowns in that stretch. He's also become the big play
- 17:12Speaker 1: guy in the Packers offense, with more than of the
- 17:15Speaker 1: team's air yards during that stretch, and look that seems
- 17:18Speaker 1: spanned the six touchdowns there. Dj More's never had more
- 17:20Speaker 1: than four touchdowns in an entire season. And right now,
- 17:23Speaker 1: I don't think it matters whether it's Aaron Rodgers or
- 17:25Speaker 1: Jordan's Love. Christian Watson really is the guy that's getting
- 17:28Speaker 1: a lot of the attention. Has become the focal point
- 17:29Speaker 1: of the Packers passing game. The Chicago Airs were hit
- 17:32Speaker 1: with a host of injuries on Sunday. Perhaps the most
- 17:35Speaker 1: significant to fantasy enthusiasts is that ankle injury to Guardnell Mooney,
- 17:39Speaker 1: which is expected to keep him out for the entirety
- 17:42Speaker 1: of the season, and so as you're looking at the
- 17:44Speaker 1: waiver wire right now, I'm not necessarily suggesting you go
- 17:47Speaker 1: out and pick up one of the available Bears wide receivers.
- 17:50Speaker 1: But Richie James has played very well over his last
- 17:53Speaker 1: two games. He's averaging four receptions somewhere around fifty yards
- 17:57Speaker 1: and a touchdown, which you know most of the time
- 17:59Speaker 1: is pretty good in fantasy football. So right now, at
- 18:02Speaker 1: this part of the season, there's not a lot available
- 18:04Speaker 1: to you. Like most of Thanksgiving leftovers, they're gone, so
- 18:07Speaker 1: there's not a lot to pick from. But if you
- 18:09Speaker 1: got to pick a guy, Richard James is a pretty
- 18:11Speaker 1: good option. And one guy that you picked pretty early
- 18:13Speaker 1: and a lot of your drafts was Lamar Jackson. And
- 18:15Speaker 1: we've been getting questions on the previous two weeks, like
- 18:17Speaker 1: what's wrong with from Marsha? Should I bench Lamar Jackson? Well,
- 18:20Speaker 1: he's back in the top ten quarterbacks this week, And
- 18:23Speaker 1: a lot of the takeaways from the game in Jacksonville
- 18:25Speaker 1: was what could have been. There was a miss of
- 18:27Speaker 1: DeMarcus Robinson early on from Lamar, then DeMarcus Robinson had
- 18:30Speaker 1: a drop touchdown, Then Lamar had a touchdown called back.
- 18:33Speaker 1: They said his knee was down. The potential for more
- 18:36Speaker 1: points was there. I think you'll be just fine breaking
- 18:38Speaker 1: news with Lamar Jackson as your fantasy quarterback. Also, we'll
- 18:42Speaker 1: be fun with watching us every single night here on
- 18:45Speaker 1: NFL Fantasy Live Badlands. Landy bade true story. That music
- 19:21Speaker 1: is right off Dan hand Zeus's playlist tole it off
- 19:25Speaker 1: his phone. Dan is here. What happened? We got soccer
- 19:30Speaker 1: fans screaming behind me. Dan is here because to do.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Week thirteen power rankings are out atfl dot com slash
- 19:36Speaker 1: Power Rankings, and Dan has a change at the top.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Last week we sat here hand Zeus and said, oh,
- 19:44Speaker 1: so now you're finally finally buying the Chiefs. Well, the
- 19:49Speaker 1: Chiefs went out and beat the defending Super Bowl champions.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I know they're banged up. I know they're banged up,
- 19:54Speaker 1: and you dropped them and put the Eagles back at one?
- 19:57Speaker 1: What because they beat Aaron Rodgers and the four wind Packer. Well,
- 20:01Speaker 1: let's start here like this is the America's Power rankings.
- 20:05Speaker 1: America scores as soon as I get on the air,
- 20:07Speaker 1: so do the man. Anyway, Yes, the Chiefs and what
- 20:12Speaker 1: we have with the Eagles is a fun race that
- 20:14Speaker 1: I think is gonna go back and forth, back and
- 20:16Speaker 1: forth for the balance of the regular season. And don't
- 20:18Speaker 1: read too much into it, because when there's this clothing,
- 20:22Speaker 1: Chiefs fans know when it's this close, and it is
- 20:24Speaker 1: very close. That the Eagles rush for three hundred and
- 20:26Speaker 1: sixty three yards in an Island game. We talked about
- 20:29Speaker 1: that last week, Andrew. I put a little extra into
- 20:31Speaker 1: those primetime games, and then the Chiefs kind of just
- 20:35Speaker 1: just get through a game against the downtrodden Rams. It
- 20:39Speaker 1: was enough to do a swap, but it doesn't mean
- 20:41Speaker 1: that all of a sudden, I feel like the Chiefs
- 20:43Speaker 1: are in trouble. It's just gonna be very tight all season,
- 20:45Speaker 1: and watch out for teams right beneath them. It's fluid, Okay,
- 20:49Speaker 1: But I'm just gonna plan ahead. If the Chiefs are
- 20:52Speaker 1: to beat the Bengals in Cincinnati, are the Chiefs back
- 20:57Speaker 1: at number one, Well, because that game is merely on
- 21:01Speaker 1: for PM, I believe a regional audience this week. Well
- 21:04Speaker 1: let's you know, I see where's you're going. It might
- 21:07Speaker 1: be let's see how many what percentage of homes the
- 21:10Speaker 1: game is in? Okay, if it's above six, then I'll
- 21:13Speaker 1: give it. No, I'm just joking, yea, let's get the Titans.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I mean they have a good game. It's that's a
- 21:17Speaker 1: big game, and yes that those games matter. I know
- 21:19Speaker 1: what we have in the Chiefs. The Chiefs are a
- 21:22Speaker 1: team that have the best quarterback on the planet and
- 21:25Speaker 1: their their defense is getting the job done. I like
- 21:27Speaker 1: that the running game is finding its way. Even though
- 21:29Speaker 1: you lose Clyde Edwards Hilaire, and of course you get
- 21:32Speaker 1: you do someth Schuster back now from injury. The Chiefs
- 21:34Speaker 1: are absolutely going to be in a dog fight for
- 21:37Speaker 1: number one for the rest of the season and then
- 21:38Speaker 1: through the playoffs. Dan has the Niners up to to
- 21:41Speaker 1: number three. Cowboys and Bills round out the top five, Dolphins, Vikings, Benggles, Titans,
- 21:46Speaker 1: and then oh what do you know? Mike Whites New
- 21:49Speaker 1: York Jets check in up four after beating Trevor Simeon
- 21:55Speaker 1: at home into the top ten. Why why are you
- 21:59Speaker 1: the way you are? Andrew? Because they were Come on,
- 22:02Speaker 1: I'm just poking that they were four last week down
- 22:06Speaker 1: for after that dreadful Patriots lost, And I know what
- 22:09Speaker 1: you're saying. Should we put too much into beating. There's
- 22:11Speaker 1: not a lot of meat on the bonus. Do you
- 22:13Speaker 1: think they're top ten team? I mean, here's the end.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I think they are. They absolutely are now number ten
- 22:18Speaker 1: of ten. So I think beating the Vikings this weekend
- 22:21Speaker 1: that would be a major statement. So yes, I think
- 22:24Speaker 1: any Jets van you're holding your breath a little bit
- 22:26Speaker 1: because you want to see this offense stack games the
- 22:29Speaker 1: way they look against Chicago. But it was a huge
- 22:32Speaker 1: revelation to see Mike White able to run this offense
- 22:35Speaker 1: in the way that Mike la Floor imagined. And you
- 22:38Speaker 1: see the receivers getting in the mix. There is a
- 22:40Speaker 1: lot of talent on this roster, and let's face it,
- 22:43Speaker 1: Zach Wilson was holding them back. Now we see what
- 22:47Speaker 1: happens if a quarterback that's capable and confident can take
- 22:50Speaker 1: this team to a higher place. It's very exciting times now,
- 22:52Speaker 1: I get it, and I'm not trying to damper your enthusiasm.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Here we have the Vikings and the Bears. I'm sorry,
- 22:56Speaker 1: the Vikings and the Bills. After beating the Bears coming
- 22:58Speaker 1: up next from Mike White joking aside, here the biggest
- 23:03Speaker 1: stunner for me and I say this without sarcasm, North
- 23:06Speaker 1: snark is the fact that you have the Raiders. They're
- 23:09Speaker 1: only seventeen, no big deal, but they're up nine spots
- 23:14Speaker 1: nine after beating the Seahawks. Yeah, they moved up ahead
- 23:19Speaker 1: of a bunch of teams that are just floating away.
- 23:22Speaker 1: So that factors in. But back to back overtime wins,
- 23:25Speaker 1: the manner in which they won the games, plus the
- 23:27Speaker 1: matter in which they lost their games earlier in the season,
- 23:30Speaker 1: this feels like a team. And I'm not gonna get
- 23:33Speaker 1: too ahead of my skis here because the Raiders have
- 23:35Speaker 1: killed their fan base all year with just dreadful losses.
- 23:39Speaker 1: But the schedule sets up well for them to get
- 23:41Speaker 1: on a run here and put themselves back into the
- 23:44Speaker 1: A f C race. Now they're gonna have to stack wins.
- 23:45Speaker 1: They're gonna actually, conceivably gonna have to stack six straight
- 23:48Speaker 1: wins to really set themselves up going into the last
- 23:51Speaker 1: two weeks. That feels strong, Andrew, I understand that. But
- 23:54Speaker 1: they're going to continue to be in every game, and
- 23:56Speaker 1: I could see them building off these o t games,
- 23:59Speaker 1: uh and really separating themselves from the bad teams. Of course,
- 24:02Speaker 1: that's why they're ahead of them now, but getting into
- 24:04Speaker 1: that mix and the teams that thirteen to seventeen mixed,
- 24:07Speaker 1: Raiders are better than the record. I think we all
- 24:09Speaker 1: know that. I think we do all know that Chargers
- 24:11Speaker 1: and the Raiders. This week, by the way, Raiders and
- 24:12Speaker 1: the Chargers game is in Vegas, hopefully we get another classic.
- 24:16Speaker 1: You say the Raiders are better than that, Um, the
- 24:19Speaker 1: Raiders you have is better than Tom Brady and the Buccaneers.
- 24:23Speaker 1: You have them down seven and you know eleven. Sometimes
- 24:28Speaker 1: you gotta take an l as Power Rankings guy. The
- 24:30Speaker 1: Bucks should have been in this territory already. But I
- 24:33Speaker 1: think you've got a little bit of paying attention to
- 24:36Speaker 1: the name and not the game. I kept on trying
- 24:38Speaker 1: to talk myself into them as a fringe E top
- 24:40Speaker 1: ten team, but now I've just seen too many. It
- 24:42Speaker 1: was something about that game against Cleveland and the six
- 24:45Speaker 1: three and outs and the overtime in which they just
- 24:48Speaker 1: they just looked like they didn't have anything going on.
- 24:51Speaker 1: This offense is hasn't figured it out. And now the
- 24:53Speaker 1: calendars turned into December, and I just think this is
- 24:56Speaker 1: who they are. This is a eight and nine, nine
- 24:59Speaker 1: and eight team which may win the division, which probably
- 25:02Speaker 1: will win the division, but that doesn't mean I need
- 25:04Speaker 1: to have them hovering at ten, eleven, twelve. At this point,
- 25:07Speaker 1: I'm accepting an L and saying they are the middle
- 25:11Speaker 1: of the pack team and that's why that's where they
- 25:13Speaker 1: reside these days. Brian Baldinger showing Martin Emerson m J
