- 0:16Speaker 1: Welcome back to another episode of Creepcurst.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Today we are talking about nineteen ninety nine, the creepypasta.
- 0:26Also it's known as either Caledon Local twenty one or
- 0:29mister Bear Cellar.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Yes, yes, yes, so nineteen ninety nine one of the
- 0:35classic Internet creepypastas. It's gone on to inspire a lot
- 0:40of other Internet horror stories and things like that, as
- 0:43I'm sure you'll pick up on as you read through it.
- 0:45But this is one of the ogs if I remember right.
- 0:48The first post was made in two thousand and nine
- 0:51and it was continued to be updated until twenty eleven,
- 0:54although it had its big resurgence around like twenty thirteen
- 0:57twenty fourteen, when a bunch of horror YouTubers started to
- 1:00make the like audio videos about it, people like mister Creepypasta,
- 1:05Creeps Mixed Pasta and stuff like that. So nineteen ninety
- 1:07nine has definitely like inserted itself into the quote unquote
- 1:12important early creepypasta works.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Yeah, that cultural zeitgeist of just like pivotal early Internet
- 1:18horror stories pret quel, it's two thousand and nine is
- 1:21rare early.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, yeah, it's it's one of the earliest ones.
- 1:25I remember this being one of the first ones I
- 1:27heard about when I started like getting into it myself. Uh,
- 1:31and there's good reason. There's good reason. It's a it's
- 1:33a very interesting story that I of course I'm not
- 1:35familiar with at all.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I want as is per usual. I actually I
- 1:40feel like it has to be a continuous theme here.
- 1:42I have never heard of this. I don't know what
- 1:45this is, so once again going in blind, if anything,
- 1:48this is just this is all it is. It's like
- 1:50basically Internet horror historian, and then random Man off the
- 1:54Street is what this podcast is to become.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Hey, well you get to enjoy all of it for
- 2:00the first time. Now, I will say with this episode,
- 2:02I actually I'm actually not familiar with nineteen ninety nine,
- 2:05so this will be uh yeah, this will be an
- 2:09interesting episode for me, I think. So I'm definitely excited
- 2:14to see how this one goes. So I'm interested as well.
- 2:17I'm right there with you.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I'm stoked. Well, without further ado, let's get into it,
- 2:23which it starts off by saying end quotes.
- 2:26Speaker 1: The year is nineteen ninety nine.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Let's go. I'm so excited. Also, to everyone who is here,
- 2:33remember to keep doing the thing you're doing on audio
- 2:36platforms because more people keep fighting us over there, and
- 2:39that's pretty cool. So yeah, if you want, if you
- 2:42want to keep that up, thanks, If not, well, I
- 2:45don't care.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I support. I just like when people listen to us, regardless.
- 2:49But the audio platforms on Spotify and Apple Podcast, they've
- 2:53the numbers have been awesome and we've been seeing a
- 2:55lot of positivity there. So if you want to go,
- 2:58go give us a listen there and give us a
- 2:59nice little rating and stuff. It means the world to us.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Wow, you all are fantastic. Like you know, sometimes I'll
- 3:07be talking and Hunter about the show and stuff, and
- 3:10Hunters like, I just can't stand, you know, these people
- 3:12who watch our videos and talk about us and make
- 3:15edits of us and stuff. I just I just wish
- 3:16I no, no, I could grab their tender little necks
- 3:19and just break them and it'll just be over. And
- 3:20I'm like, no, these people they're important to me, and
- 3:23you all really are. So I appreciate that.
- 3:25Speaker 2: It's true, and I want to say to all of
- 3:27the which actually I want to clarify, and so I
- 3:29did not say any of that. I say he said said, no, no, no, no, no,
- 3:34no no. All of the fan edits and stuff have
- 3:37been really really funny, and we want to. I check
- 3:40out the reddit and stuff and see all of the
- 3:42the memes going on there and all the different kinds
- 3:44of edits too, and it's really really really cool to see.
- 3:47So I look forward to all of them. So please
- 3:50keep making them and making my belly jiggle with laughter.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Yes, and I'm not going to add the part about
- 3:59making his belly jiggle because that feels weird, but keep
- 4:02making me laugh in a normal way.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Nineteen ninety nine two is that this is this is
- 4:08peak Limp Biscuit. So if at some point there is
- 4:10some kind of Limp Biscuit reference, I'm gonna be very
- 4:12very excited.
- 4:14Speaker 3: I will say this has nothing to do with nineteen
- 4:17ninety nine, but one time I was reading I think
- 4:20I've read it on No it's for a video. It
- 4:23was this online arg called Hypnagogic Archives. And there's a
- 4:27part where character's in whatever year smash mouths Astro Lounge
- 4:35came out, so it's it's whatever the characters in whatever
- 4:39year that is, and he's like, reminds me of the
- 4:42hit song All Star by smash. So. I'm sure though,
- 4:49we'll have a moment like that in this story, don't you.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gonna be a It's like the guy wrote
- 4:53it and he was like, this is a timeless reference.
- 4:57This will never ever a bop forever.
- 5:01Speaker 3: It certainly won't wind up in a popular DreamWorks film
- 5:05and ruin its reputation forever. Yes, yes, yes, okay, all right,
- 5:12let's get into it. I'm so ready, let's begin.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I am too, man.
- 5:16Speaker 3: The year is nineteen ninety nine. That sentence brings me
- 5:19back to my senior kindergarten class when I was five
- 5:22years old, where we used to read out the date
- 5:24on the blackboard every single day. The year nineteen ninety
- 5:28nine exists as a stain in my mind, however, as
- 5:31a memory that will not go away no matter how
- 5:33I try to forget it. Nineteen ninety nine marked the
- 5:37year I lost my first tooth, my first time on
- 5:40a plane, and unfortunately, the early loss of my childhood innocence,
- 5:45the one memory that refused to be wiped. It all
- 5:48started with that new or old TV. At the time,
- 5:53Pokemon was the latest fad to hit the school. Pokemon cards,
- 5:57game stickers, and the most popular the TV show, so
- 6:01of course, every time I came home from school, I
- 6:03would stay glued to the TV until Pokemon came on
- 6:06at five. The only problem was that my dad watched
- 6:09the news at five thirty and Pokemon episodes were back
- 6:12to back, which meant I had to miss an episode
- 6:14every day, something I wind on and on about. My
- 6:18dad got tired of hearing me complain every day. That
- 6:20must be why he went and bought another TV. My
- 6:23dad put the TV he bought in my room. Unfortunately,
- 6:27it was just an old small boob tube with rabbit ears.
- 6:30Even it also only had twenty channels available, not including
- 6:35the channel Pokemon was on. I recall, I didn't care though,
- 6:39I was just thrilled I had my own TV in
- 6:41my room. After surfing through the channels, I came to
- 6:44the conclusion that only Channel two TVO Kids was worth watching,
- 6:50so I watched that for a while. It wasn't for
- 6:52another few months until I discovered Channel twenty one. One
- 6:56day in April, I was flipping through the channels trying
- 6:59to see if Pokemon was on. I pressed Channel twenty
- 7:03one into the remote, hoping there were more channels, and
- 7:06to my delight there was. My dad was surprised too,
- 7:10but he let me watch it because it seemed to
- 7:12have kids programs on. The channel was called Kaledon Local
- 7:16twenty one, and later I found out it was indeed
- 7:20broadcasted from the town of Kaledon, Ontario, a town very
- 7:24close to my city. The shows I saw on Kalaedan
- 7:27Local twenty one looked poorly made, and I never understood
- 7:31what was going on in them halftime. However, as I
- 7:35grew up, every time I thought of that channel, I
- 7:39realized more and more how messed up the shows were,
- 7:42and I had to ask myself, this is a quote.
- 7:45Do you want to do the quote? So, yeah, I
- 7:46want to take it from you.
- 7:47Speaker 2: What the fuck was I watching?
- 7:49Speaker 3: Thank you? There's not a ton of quotes in this story,
- 7:51so I don't want to rob you of that moment.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Of course, Yeah, I appreciate it.
- 7:56Speaker 3: And then after that we get into our first show.
- 7:58But so far, what do you think of it? How
- 8:00are you feeling?
- 8:01Speaker 2: I mean, it feels similar to that Channel zero thing
- 8:05kind of about like some kind of show or some
- 8:09kind of like archetype where children are watching a you know,
- 8:14some kind of various programs and it's a lot more
- 8:16fucked up than what they remembered or even like as kids,
- 8:19it might have messed with them. It's kind of the
- 8:21direction I'm going, but I'm not sure.
- 8:23Speaker 3: It reminds me like premise wise, it reminds me a
- 8:27lot of a Candle Cove.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Uh yeah, can't there you go che of Cove? Yep,
- 8:31because that was the whole thing was that was like
- 8:33the Pirate one, right.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, the whole thing is that all these kids
- 8:36remember a show, but then their parents are like, oh no,
- 8:39whenever you were staring at the TV, it was just static.
- 8:43Like the end twist is that the television was like
- 8:46transmitting these signals straight to them. That one's written by
- 8:49Chris Straub, and he's like a whole He's like one
- 8:51of the Mount Rushmore heads of early internet whrror. So
- 8:55like that. I think he's incorporated it into some of
- 8:57his other writings and stuff like that. But yeah, the
- 8:59core remiss of the original Candle Coave story reminds me
- 9:02a lot of nineteen ninety nine.
- 9:03Speaker 2: I even just like the theme of like coming home from
- 9:08school and wanting to watch something. Obviously we haven't gotten
- 9:10into it. But I like the idea of like it's
- 9:13a very intimate moment or like that. Even I remember
- 9:15that coming home, and it's like you're kind of like
- 9:17ritual that you do, and like the relationship between you
- 9:20and these shows is something where it's like, you know, therapeutic, cathartic,
- 9:24all kinds of different feelings, and then to kind of
- 9:27put that twist, it's just fun.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I always just like that. But I'm stoked.
- 9:31Speaker 3: I agree, all right, So let's get into the first one.
- 9:36April nineteen ninety nine, Mister Bear Seller, Episode twelve, very
- 9:42sketchy name if you were to look at it nowadays.
- 9:45The show featured a guy wearing a bear mascot costume
- 9:49who would get a new visitor into his cellar every day.
- 9:53Speaker 4: It was God, God, good Lord, Oh no, and not
- 10:01the next, not the next, abbreviations.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Here we go, hunter, Are you ready?
- 10:08Speaker 2: I guess so, dude, good lord.
- 10:12Speaker 3: It was always a kid, always a kid. I was
- 10:16always a kid. So here we go. The train, the
- 10:19Barroska train is in the station. Once again, it was
- 10:26always a kid. The show was filmed with a camcorder,
- 10:30and not a very good one either. The police asked
- 10:32me a lot of questions about this show. This episode
- 10:35started with mister Bear sitting at a table playing checkers
- 10:38by himself. He sat there planing for a bit until
- 10:42there was a knock on the door. The camera was
- 10:44then looking up the stairs at the door, where there
- 10:47was another knock. Mister Bear climbed the stairs and opened
- 10:50the door to reveal two young children. One was a
- 10:54boy about my age and the other was a girl
- 10:56who looked about eight. Mister Bear danced into light and
- 11:00then started talking to the kids. I couldn't hear any
- 11:03of them that well, I remember. Mister Bear then let
- 11:06the kids into the cellar, which was quite dark, only
- 11:09lit by a small oil lamp on the table. I
- 11:12can't really remember that much more, except him singing a song,
- 11:16which I couldn't hear too well either, probably because of
- 11:19the large bear mask. The episode ended with them playing
- 11:22hide and seek, with the kids hiding in a closet
- 11:25and mister Bear counting, Oh my lord, how you feel?
- 11:30Speaker 2: Oh my lord? Okay, I'm not gonna lie that kind
- 11:33of I was like, I got like a I got
- 11:35a bad taste on amount of I felt a little
- 11:37something crawled my spine there, you know, what I mean
- 11:40immediately made me think of aesthetically was like the Poughkeepsie tapes.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, yeah, the Poughkeepsie tapes.
- 11:46Speaker 2: It's like the very the very infamous one where it's
- 11:48like it's like, uh, the guy crawling down the steps
- 11:52in the basement and stuff, all that kind of stuff. Absolutely,
- 11:54also how cryptically vague everything is. Also, it's like, I
- 11:59like recalling these things, it feels like it's like recalling
- 12:01a dream or something. It's just ugh, we don't know
- 12:06the intentions yet, you know what I mean, and it
- 12:07makes it so much worse.
- 12:09Speaker 3: That's one of the most effective parts about the story
- 12:11to me is that like it's all relayed through just
- 12:16what the kids saw, so all of the intentions and
- 12:19things like that, you're kind of left to ponder with yourself.
- 12:22Speaker 4: You know.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Uh yeah, because there's something so menacing about that ending too,
- 12:27that they were playing hide and go seek and the
- 12:29kids were hiding in the closet with mister Bear counting.
- 12:34It's it's it's like what happens you know after the
- 12:36cameras go off, right, if that's where the episode ended.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I mean one thing that caught me was
- 12:42that was one sentence there, which is just the police
- 12:45asked me a lot of questions about this show, just
- 12:47that one little thing right there, of like introducing a
- 12:50whole other story element of like Okay, obviously there's some
- 12:54kind of investigation going, and like other people must have
- 12:57heard about this thing, you know what I mean. Like
- 12:58it adds like a whole new layer of of of
- 13:03of intrigue or just like another layer of depth to
- 13:06the story, which I think is just really cool. Yeah,
- 13:09but also too just the I mean, like, you know,
- 13:11mister bear, you know the obviously the child aesthetic mixed
- 13:16with horror is as old as time itself, but still
- 13:19just the idea of an adult what I'm assuming is
- 13:21an adult in a bear suit doing this is just
- 13:25fucking mortifying.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh I should also mention for you to suffer
- 13:31even more. There's been a bunch of people on YouTube
- 13:33in the year since it's got popular who have made
- 13:38videos of all of this happening. So it's like an
- 13:41actual cam quarter footage of a guy in a bear
- 13:44suit like running around with kids and stuff like that,
- 13:46and it's exactly as awful as you can imagine.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Oh well, do that kind of like leads perfectly into
- 13:52the Uh we just somebody sent Isaiah or Windigoon the
- 13:59Ted the Caver, the Ted's Caving journal thing.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, so we just wanted.
- 14:03Speaker 2: To give him a shout out too, and we'll put
- 14:05his link to his channel in the videos. But it
- 14:07is unbelievable, so good.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Yeah. So this dude, I haven't watched it yet because
- 14:11I'm gonna watch it on stream. I'm saving myself for
- 14:14the stream audience. But this guy showed up in one
- 14:17of my live streams and said, Hey, I heard your
- 14:18all episode you did over on Papa Meat about Ted
- 14:23the Caver, and I decided to make it into a series.
- 14:26And the series looks fantastic. So yeah, really cool that
- 14:30he did that. We'll throw it down in the description.
- 14:32But yeah, love seeing creativity like that.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Yeah all right, well, I mean let's keep moving on.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, keep rocking with it. But before we
- 14:39continue with the show, I want to take a quick
- 14:41moment to thank today's sponsor Aura. If you're anything like me,
- 14:45then you've probably used your name, address, email address, and
- 14:48password all over the Internet without thinking much of it.
- 14:52And while sure that can certainly make life easy, it
- 14:54also makes it easy for bad people to get away
- 14:56with doing bad things with your information. I mean recently,
- 15:00AT and T revealed that over seventy three million customer
- 15:03records were just released onto the dark web, and all
- 15:06the things they recommend to keep that from happening, like
- 15:09monitoring your account or strong passwords or fraud alerts are
- 15:13all taken care of by AURA. AURA will expose identity
- 15:16brokers who are using your information and automatically submit opt
- 15:20out requests on your behalf. Anytime you use your information online,
- 15:24there's a chance that some of that data can fall
- 15:26into the hands of telemarketers or robocallers or some other
- 15:30kind of scam, and these data brokers that hold onto
- 15:32that information are legally required to lose it if you
- 15:36ever asked them to. However, the process to do so
- 15:39is very convoluted and tricky because that's how the scam works.
- 15:43But AURA is here to throw a wrench in that.
- 15:45Aura scours the web to see if any of your
- 15:47information has fallen into the wrong hands, and with the
- 15:50click of a button, you can say that you want
- 15:52the scammer to lose your information, and AURA will do
- 15:55the hard part and submit the opt out request on
- 15:57your behalf. Not only will this make your identity more
- 15:59secure sure, but it will also offt you out of
- 16:01things like telemarketer calls or junk mail lists, or even
- 16:05monitors your email and passwords to see if they were
- 16:08a part of a data breach and then gives you
- 16:10advice on what to do from there. When I first
- 16:12started using Aura, I found out that my personal email
- 16:15had been a part of a data broker scam since
- 16:17twenty twenty two, and thanks to Aura, I was able
- 16:20to get that cleared up all at once. So as
- 16:22a personal endorsement, thank you Aura for not making me
- 16:25go on whatever journey that was about to be. On
- 16:28top of that, the or app has a VPN, a
- 16:30password manager, real time credit and identity theft monitoring, and
- 16:34it even protects your devices from malware. The or app
- 16:38even has family tools like preventing harmful websites from popping
- 16:41up and monitoring screen time. Aura is pretty much every
- 16:45Internet safety tool you could ever need in one app.
- 16:48The Internet can be a good thing, especially when you
- 16:50use your time on the Internet to support whatever hair
- 16:52brain scheme I come up with. So let Aura be
- 16:55your shield from those who want to make something bad
- 16:57out of all the good and right now, there's been
- 17:00a better time to get in on this offer. That's
- 17:02because if you head to the link in the description
- 17:04at Aura dot com slash creep cast, you'll be able
- 17:07to try Aura for two weeks absolutely free. That is right,
- 17:11fourteen days of Aura for free. Sadly, you're probably gonna
- 17:14be surprised by all the information they find of yours
- 17:17just out there on the internet. But with AUR you
- 17:19can get that taken care of, and with the offer
- 17:21in the description you can give them two weeks to
- 17:23prove themselves again. That's head to Aura dot com slash
- 17:26creek Cast to get in on this fantastic internet defense
- 17:29tool today. Thank you all so much for watching the ad.
- 17:31Thank you so much to Ora for sponsoring the show.
- 17:33It really doesn't mean the most. Hope you all check
- 17:35them out. Link is in the description, and we are
- 17:37back to the episode. May nineteen ninety nine, Soup and Spoon.
- 17:44I don't think this was even a show. I think
- 17:46it was more of a special movie thing. All I
- 17:49know is I stopped watching cald on Local twenty one
- 17:51for a while because I thought this show was too stupid,
- 17:54especially since Pokemon now came on at four thirty and five.
- 17:58I don't remember much of this, but it's showed a
- 18:00can of soup and a spoon, both attached to strings,
- 18:04swinging back and forth as if someone was holding them
- 18:07and dangling them in front of the camera. Interestingly enough,
- 18:11the show was shot in a basement which looked just
- 18:14like the one used in Mister Bear Cellar. Like I said,
- 18:18I can't remember much. The only thing I can remember
- 18:20clearly was the end. The entire thing was only half
- 18:24an hour and just included stuff I found stupid, such
- 18:27as the spoon chasing the soup around trying to eat him.
- 18:31The endings showed a table and about seven kids sitting
- 18:34around it, each with a bowl of soup in front
- 18:36of them. They were sitting and looking at the camera
- 18:39but with confused, almost frightened faces. The cameraman then yelled
- 18:45at the can of soup in front of the kids
- 18:46and said spoons ready, and then it just stopped.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Interesting, Well, it's definitely setting up a theme here of
- 18:54obviously some kind of child abduction thing, but obviously like
- 18:57this weird thirty minute like puppet show is almost how
- 19:01I had to describe that, right with like the Spoon
- 19:04and the Soup. Uh a weird puppet show. I do
- 19:08like the uh. I do like the line I thought
- 19:10the show was too stupid, especially since Pokemon Now came
- 19:13on at four thirty and five. You know, like a
- 19:15kid just looking at this, he's like, what the hell
- 19:17is this? What the heck? This is dumb? It goes
- 19:22to the living room and watches ash a twelve year
- 19:24old boy like Tackle Cyther or something like that. He's like,
- 19:27this is awful, this is what this is why I
- 19:30need to be watching.
- 19:31Speaker 3: I think it's pretty It works for me because a
- 19:35lot of the times, you know, oh, totally with a
- 19:37with a story, you're trying to find ways to hide
- 19:39information from the characters and have it just been a
- 19:41kid who like wasn't interested because he didn't realize how
- 19:45off putting what he was looking at was. In staid,
- 19:48he just wanted to watch Pokemon, So that makes sense
- 19:50why he only saw some of it one time. Right,
- 19:54it works, It works for the story.
- 19:56Speaker 2: It does, and I mean I think the entirely like
- 19:58one thing that's been really effective so far. It is
- 20:00just these really strong, like last three or four sentences
- 20:03of each of these descriptions like the ending showed to
- 20:06a table and about seven kids sing around it, each
- 20:08with a bowl of soup in front of them. Just
- 20:10it's so simple, but just so like unsettling, so just
- 20:15eerily unsettling.
- 20:16Speaker 3: It's one of the like I don't know how much
- 20:20of it was intentional on the author's part. I think
- 20:23a lot of it, But sometimes I feel like even
- 20:26the quick delivery of the sentences, like how immediate they are,
- 20:31like it's very factual from the kid's point of view,
- 20:34goes to better serve the idea as a kid who's
- 20:36not really processing what he was looking at. Mm hmm,
- 20:39Because like if you or I found a local television
- 20:42show that was like in a basement with children, it
- 20:44would immediately be like red alert, but the kid just
- 20:47kind of watched it and was bored by it, which
- 20:49is it's so miniscing.
- 20:50Speaker 2: I mean, that's what I'm even thinking about. If I
- 20:53was a kid, I'd probably doing the exact same thing. Yeah,
- 20:55I mean I'd be looking at like my Dragon Ball
- 20:57Z DVD thing and being like, why the fuck am
- 21:00I watching this stupid shit? I agree, throwing this in
- 21:02my PS two and just like live in Levina, Loka
- 21:04you know what I mean, Like, but especially that's just
- 21:06like the mind that that's just like the interesting thing
- 21:09of like the mind of a child where it's just
- 21:11like you don't have those like those those like actual
- 21:15being able to process like shit that you're seeing. It's
- 21:18just like all surface levels. So you're just like, well,
- 21:19this is boring, but you don't understand like how even
- 21:22even to the extent too to where it's like why
- 21:24would you ever bring it up to your parents? You
- 21:26know what I mean, Oh, that's shows stupid. You know, well,
- 21:29why why would you pup and show Yeah, exactly exactly.
- 21:33Speaker 3: I also think that to me, that's one of the
- 21:35most frightening concepts you can do in horror, not just
- 21:40like involving kids, but specifically involving like your memories around childhood,
- 21:45Like did those things that happen to you actually happen
- 21:48the way you think you did or are you just misremembered?
- 21:51Speaker 4: Well?
- 21:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that the idea is with me a lot. Yeah,
- 21:55And I think the idea that it's like you can't
- 21:57even trust yourself in your own narrative, yeah, I think
- 21:59is extremely disturbing, extremely disturbing. It's like the especially like dementia,
- 22:04like me getting dementia when I'm older, which I know
- 22:06it's gonna happen, and I'm very bummed about it. I
- 22:08just I can feel it. I think, like it's the
- 22:11idea that's like you can't even remember, like you're losing
- 22:13track of your own self or you can't even trust yourself.
- 22:16Is so frightening. Yeah, yeah, it looks interesting here too,
- 22:20because that went from April May and the next one's
- 22:22in July, so he skipped a month. Yes, the time
- 22:25was becoming a bit more sporadic.
- 22:26Speaker 3: Yeah, so these are like his memories of like I
- 22:29remember this from April, I remember this from May. So
- 22:31that's what he remembers from July. So the next one,
- 22:34July nineteen ninety nine, He says. It was summer and
- 22:39I hadn't watched Channel twenty one for a while until
- 22:42one day when I slept over at my friend's house
- 22:44and I decided to check it out again. My friend
- 22:47had got into TV in his room for his sixth birthday,
- 22:50so we stayed up very late for us. Nine point
- 22:53thirty was very late and watched TV. That's when I
- 22:57remember Channel twenty one and brought it up to my friend,
- 23:00we decided to see if it was on, and to
- 23:02our surprise, it was. It must have changed the broadcasting time. Now.
- 23:06A couple of things to mention here. For one, six
- 23:10way too young to just have an unrestricted TV.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Yeah, well do you think so? In the era before
- 23:17internet's really readily available. I mean, but before this time,
- 23:20people that had their own TVs and stuff, I mean
- 23:23like it was probably like, oh, you just can't have
- 23:24like a VCR or something to like watch bad movies
- 23:27or something. But even then, it's like what was gonna
- 23:29be on TV? You know what I mean, I'm.
- 23:31Speaker 3: I'll give you that that in nineteen ninety nine, having
- 23:34a TV that showed like local PBS or whatever was
- 23:38especially Yeah, because nowadays the kids are going to find
- 23:40creep cast and gonna find you know, us talking about
- 23:42like child oft.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Kind of whatnot crazy shit.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we can't be having that also here too.
- 23:48Speaker 2: I just want to say that it's interesting where he
- 23:51said earlier that the broadcasting was from four to nine,
- 23:54and then he's like nine thirty. Oh, they must have
- 23:56changed the broadcasting time. No, I think it's definitely just
- 23:59whenever you but on, it's gonna it's gonna be there.
- 24:02Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, absolutely.
- 24:06Speaker 2: So this bear cellar.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Like that, that must have changed the broadcasting time. Mister
- 24:17Bell Bear celler. This was episode twenty three. This episode
- 24:22was entertaining for my friend and me, mainly because it
- 24:24had swearing. However, now when I think of this episode,
- 24:28I realized something was definitely wrong when it was filmed.
- 24:32The episode started with the camera on its side while
- 24:35it was facing mister Bear, who was walking upstairs to
- 24:38the cellar door. The camera then blacked out for about
- 24:42a second before fading in back upright and facing mister Bear.
- 24:47There was also another kid talking to him, but this
- 24:50kid looked about eleven or twelve. He was talking to
- 24:54mister Bear for a while, but I couldn't hear well
- 24:56again with the crappy camcorder until the kids started raising
- 24:59his voice. The kid was saying how it was late
- 25:04and his sister had to go home. You could also
- 25:07hear more voices in the background. I remember mister Bear
- 25:11clearly saying.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Get the fuck out, you're not invited, with.
- 25:15Speaker 3: The deep voice muffled by the bear mask. I remember
- 25:18my friend and I looking at each other and laughing
- 25:20at the mention of the forbidden F word. But the
- 25:23episode got weirder. The kid began climbing the stairs before
- 25:26turning around and saying how he was going to call
- 25:28the police. Mister Bear began breaking into a run towards
- 25:33the kid. We started screaming and running as well. The
- 25:37camera then cut out and that was the end of
- 25:39the episode. The channel then turned to static shortly after.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I want to say that even if I was a
- 25:45kid and I heard someone say fuck, because you know,
- 25:47I like the South Park movie and all that kind
- 25:49of stuff from back in the day, if I saw this,
- 25:51I would be horrified, horrified as a child to think, like,
- 25:56this thing is just like, get the fuck out of here.
- 25:58You're not invited. The kids like it's so weird to
- 26:03meet it.
- 26:04Speaker 3: I will say so crapy, I will say this. Do
- 26:06you think a six year old could be young enough
- 26:09that they wouldn't process They would still just see a
- 26:12funny bear costume?
- 26:13Speaker 2: Right, Hmmm.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Maybe that's a good point edge of like realizing this
- 26:19is weird.
- 26:20Speaker 2: I don't know sure. I think kids are smart enough
- 26:23to read body language or to understand that, like one
- 26:27of the people in the room are is clearly upset.
- 26:30I think that it does a good job about it
- 26:32though by saying that like the the all the audio
- 26:35is muffled or it's like hard to hear. But I
- 26:38still think I'm I'm trying to think about like I
- 26:40feel like I would just be kind of creeped out.
- 26:42I think because it's it's kind of like it is
- 26:45a big bear, and it's saying it like if it
- 26:48was like saying just because I don't know, it's it's
- 26:51it's hard to say, six is six is very young.
- 26:53It's hard. It's hard to know. You're just so disassociated
- 26:57from it.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Maybe I saw I forget it was. But the other
- 27:00day I heard the line the scariest thing that happens
- 27:03when you're a kid is when an adult suddenly gets
- 27:07very serious. Uh yeah, and yeah, that always did freak
- 27:11me out. So maybe if that is kind of maybe
- 27:14the tick kids are looking forward to get afraid. Maybe
- 27:16the bear costumes hiding that, you know, maybe they can't tell.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Yeah, like they can't like actually read its body language
- 27:22because it has just like a giant mask on.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, Now I will say the image, Oh
- 27:30my gosh, here we go.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Do every I love it every episode?
- 27:37Speaker 3: You already I rather thinking about it. I'm busy. I'm working,
- 27:44honey every time.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Dude, it's just a pair of run shut up.
- 27:53Speaker 3: I can't work under these conditions.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Okay, I'm freaking out.
- 27:57Speaker 3: I'm freaking out right now, all right. Yeah, so yeah, anyway,
- 28:02scared kids.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I will say too that this is this is
- 28:08like really I really love this setup with the basement thing,
- 28:11just as like a visual like visualizing in my visualizing
- 28:15it in my head, like even that last one in July.
- 28:18The idea that the camera is like starting off on
- 28:20its side like there was some kind of tussle is
- 28:23what I would assume that it's saying, right, yeah, like
- 28:26there was some kind of struggle or something and the
- 28:27tripod fell over so good. And also I don't know,
- 28:31are you picturing the basement. I'm picturing the basement with
- 28:33like kind of like almost like not dirt floors, but
- 28:36like that really shitty like crack some min maybe like
- 28:39one light. It's kind of dimly, really old.
- 28:41Speaker 3: You can hear the constant like low echo of the underground.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yes, yeah, I love it. It's like I'm
- 28:49so in on this bear cellar vibe.
- 28:52Speaker 3: It works pretty well. And like, man, that image of
- 28:54him running up the stairs at the kid.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Oh god, horrible, especially just because of how fuck and
- 29:00goofy a grown adult looks running in those giant ass suits.
- 29:03You know, his legs are kind of bowed because he
- 29:05can't just like run regular, So it's just it's just
- 29:08even more cartoonish and weird. And yeah, and the kid
- 29:11even screams and runs away himself. And also to not
- 29:15keep dragging this on this part, but also whenever he
- 29:19says get the fuck out, you're not invited, assumes that
- 29:22there's more people off screen who are like waiting on
- 29:25this quote unquote, like party that he's throwing or something weird,
- 29:30mister Bear's party, Mister Bear Sello.
- 29:35Speaker 3: August nineteen ninety nine. I didn't want to watch Channel
- 29:39twenty one after that. In August I grew more conscious
- 29:43to see mister bears cellar for some reason, though I'm sorry,
- 29:46I'm sorry, I've.
- 29:48Speaker 2: You you're all scared now, all were out.
- 29:53Speaker 3: You done got me riled, all right? In August I gream,
- 29:56you're more curious to see mister Bear Sellar some reason, though,
- 30:01The last episode I saw of mister Bear was weird
- 30:04and had swearing, which also made me think the show
- 30:07was meant for teenagers. Nonetheless, I flipped onto Channel twenty
- 30:11one when my dad was busy. That's also profoundly sad
- 30:14how a kid sees how messed up that is and
- 30:16be like, Oh, this must be for the bigger kids, right,
- 30:18Like he doesn't get how messed up it is. Yeah, yeah,
- 30:23mister Bear Seller Episode twenty eight. Apparently this episode had
- 30:27been playing the entire month of August. It was studied
- 30:30a lot by the police. The entire episode was just
- 30:33mister Bear sitting in a chair talking to the audience.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Hello, kids, do you want to visit my cellar? If
- 30:41you do, please write me a letter at this address.
- 30:44Speaker 3: The screen then switched to a white screen with multicolored
- 30:47letters reading the address, and that was what remained for
- 30:51the rest of the episode. This repeated for five hours
- 30:55every day until September came. And guess what I actually did.
- 30:59I sent mister Bear or that sick bastard who portrayed
- 31:02him a letter. I did it out of curiosity. Mostly
- 31:07my dad was okay with it because he thought it
- 31:09was a legit kids show. But then again, he never
- 31:11saw any of what was on Channel twenty one, So
- 31:15I wrote a letter using my best writing possible. I
- 31:18think I just said how I wanted to meet mister Bear.
- 31:21So my dad sent the letter to the address. Mister
- 31:23Bearer said on the show, it's stayed on all day
- 31:25anyway for some reason. It took about a week to
- 31:28get a response, which I was surprised I did. I
- 31:32still had the letter I received on August the fifteenth,
- 31:34nineteen ninety nine.
- 31:36Speaker 1: The letter read, Dear Elliott, thank you ever so much
- 31:40for your letter. I would love to have you in
- 31:43my cellar. We play games, watch movies, and go fire
- 31:47camping in the middle of the woods. Come to my
- 31:50house at the police cut out this address, Kaladan, Ontario, Canada.
- 31:56I look very forward to having fun with you. Love
- 32:00mister Bear.
- 32:01Speaker 3: I cannot believe my dad never found this sketchy, because
- 32:04he actually took me to the house. And what what
- 32:12what the what?
- 32:13Speaker 2: What the fuck?
- 32:16Speaker 3: What are you?
- 32:16Speaker 2: What are you saying?
- 32:18Speaker 4: Oh my god, time time out, time out?
- 32:24Speaker 3: I say time out, please God, hold on, hold.
- 32:27Speaker 2: On my word. What I'm trying to wrap my head
- 32:34around that he actually took you the How Okay? I
- 32:37just keep going and then we're almost done with this one,
- 32:39and we can actually see. I'm so curious to see.
- 32:42Speaker 3: And that's when the police became involved, those endless questions,
- 32:47those pictures of terrified kids the woods. That brings me
- 32:51to I'm writing this blog that Psycho and his friends
- 32:54did some screwed up shit back then, and now it
- 32:57seems he's trying to get into contact with me. The
- 33:01entire police thing is coming back. That has brought nineteen
- 33:04ninety nine back to me over a decade later. It
- 33:07is happening again.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Oh ooh, so now he's going to be sixteen. In
- 33:16the update here, I will say, Okay, my god, my god,
- 33:22talk about get this child away from this dad.
- 33:25Speaker 3: By the way, hold on, hold on, let's frame it right,
- 33:28because we know what's happening. But he said specifically, his
- 33:32dad never saw the station, right, So he.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Never saw the station. But he is led to believe,
- 33:38sorry to cut you off, he is led to believe
- 33:40that he has read he has read that thing. Right.
- 33:45As an adult, If I got a letter in the
- 33:47mail from a TV studio, presumably an adult, and it said,
- 33:52dear Elliott, thank you ever so much for writing letter,
- 33:55I would let to have you in my cellar. We
- 33:58play games, watch movies that go fire camping in the
- 34:01middle of the woods. Come to my house? What like
- 34:06the dash is like, all on't go a fault. Where
- 34:08do you need to go? What's the address? Or I'll
- 34:10plug it in. I'll give a shit. Sure, Yeah, Elliott,
- 34:13get your bag, we're going. He's like he wants them
- 34:16out of the house. Yeah, guy got TV to watch.
- 34:18That's why I bought that TV so I could watch
- 34:20my shows. Unbelievable, dude, I'm believing if you've never seen it,
- 34:26I would I'd be like, no, who gave We're not
- 34:29going you want to go to a cellar? We're going
- 34:31to And it doesn't even say come to the studio,
- 34:33says come to my house. He's like, yeah, that seems
- 34:35that that problem makes sense. That's where Jerry Seinfeld he
- 34:39films his all those episodes in his apartments, So that
- 34:41makes sense. Unbelievable. Unbelievable dude. And then to have the
- 34:49call afterwards where it's like he actually took me to
- 34:51the house. You're like what, and this says and then
- 34:54and that's when the police became involved? Is the next
- 34:58sentence due the next thing? That's when the police became involved.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Come on, the police were there to arrest his dad
- 35:07for pregnant.
- 35:08Speaker 2: He should have he should have, sir, this is child neglect.
- 35:11He's like, I didn't know what was going on. I
- 35:14just took my son. Told me to take him somewhere.
- 35:16I take him. I don't think about it. I just
- 35:19take him.
- 35:20Speaker 3: I was looking for a whip.
- 35:23Speaker 2: I was like those endless questions and the and and
- 35:28also here this paragraph ends with those pictures of terrified
- 35:32kids the woods dot dot dot. Arrest the dad immediately,
- 35:39is all I have to say. That is unbelievable, which
- 35:43I do. I do want to say, regardless of how
- 35:45terrible the fucking dad is is, I liked the little
- 35:49Over a decade later, it's still happening. I love that
- 35:51little Yeah, that little you know, dangling the carrot.
- 35:55Speaker 3: So actually, I believe, if I recall, right, everything we
- 35:58just read was the original poet, and then everything we
- 36:01read from here on was updates he did in the
- 36:03following months. So everything we just read was where the
- 36:06original story ended.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Okay, And but this but the first one was still
- 36:11posted in two thousand and nine, correct, yes, correct, okay,
- 36:14And it was just this is just him updating. Okay,
- 36:15that's cool. Yeah, yeah, all right, so we don't we
- 36:18The next log, Ladies and gentlemen, isn't until November fourteenth
- 36:21of two thousand and nine, so it literally is almost exactly.
- 36:24Speaker 3: I need to run slight. Okay, we don't have the
- 36:27name of the child, I don't think, but the author's
- 36:29name is Camden Lamont. So I'm gonna call the child Camden.
- 36:32I'm going to run slight interference for Camden's dad.
- 36:36Speaker 2: Okay, no, it's Elliott. It's Elliott.
- 36:38Speaker 3: Oh he did have a name, all right, I'm stupid.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, because the bear he wrote the child, the
- 36:43fucking the six year old child, Elliott.
- 36:45Speaker 3: You're right, yeah, yeah, yes, I'm done. Okay, so I'm
- 36:48gonna run sick.
- 36:48Speaker 2: I cannot wait. I cannot wait to hear this defense, dude.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Okay, hear me out, Ladies and gentlemen of the jury.
- 36:58The Okay, the father has not watch the program, correct,
- 37:02He has just heard his kid like, oh, I watched
- 37:05this show about mister Bhaeron he plays with kids or whatever. Right,
- 37:08he thinks that's all it is. It's a local show, right,
- 37:10which means it's somewhere around the region. So the kid's
- 37:14like Hey, can I send a letter to this TV show?
- 37:16And Dad's like sure, So he sends a letter, letter
- 37:18comes back and yes. While I will admit to the
- 37:21jury that the word seller is weird and that probably
- 37:27should have raised an eyebrow, he's also heard that the
- 37:30TV show is called mister Bear Sellar. So say it
- 37:35was like it was Elmo's Playhouse, right, if the letter
- 37:39said I want you to come to my playhouse, that
- 37:41would seem normal. The dad didn't send his child in
- 37:45that direction. He was there with him, like. The dad's like,
- 37:48all right, we'll check it out. And he walks up
- 37:51with the with his son, and then the police become involved.
- 37:54Maybe the dad saw something, maybe the police were already there.
- 37:57Who knows. But again I will I will have that
- 38:01slight caveat about it.
- 38:03Speaker 2: I just want to say that I have to question
- 38:05now if you yourself are mister barn because that's what
- 38:08that defense sounded like. Because I want to say that,
- 38:14sure he's never seen the show. If I would have
- 38:16sat there, Let's say I've never seen Dragon ball Z
- 38:19and my kid says, oh, it's a show about fighting,
- 38:22it's they power up. Sure right, come go to master
- 38:25Roche's Island. He says, I'm like, well, well, that's a
- 38:28weird thing. And then it says the next line says,
- 38:31come to my house. At what point would I be like, hmm,
- 38:36that's kind of weird that shot in the house. Well, yeah,
- 38:39I guess I also think it's being presumptuous that you
- 38:41said that, he's like, because with how neglectful he's been
- 38:43so far, I would almost assume this nineties father is
- 38:46just waiting in the car. All right, it'll be here,
- 38:48have fun, Get on in there.
- 38:51Speaker 3: A hunter. Those are gruesome allegations, and I don't stand
- 38:54for it.
- 38:55Speaker 2: All I'm saying is I don't Yeah, I believe at
- 38:59some point point and someone will probably pull up this image.
- 39:01I could have sworn that I've seen you with some
- 39:03kind of giant Teddy Bear mask on, and I just
- 39:05I don't know. I don't know. Also, you are rushing
- 39:11to the defense of this extremely quickly.
- 39:17Speaker 3: I don't know what you're talking about, the defensive one.
- 39:19I just think that looking at.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Perfect at the time.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Okay, that's all.
- 39:26Speaker 2: I'm all right. We'll see where this goes, mister bear.
- 39:30We'll see where it goes. I'm just gonna be your
- 39:34new nickname. Dude, I'm not gonna call I'm not gonna
- 39:36no longer. Are you win? The good? In my eyes?
- 39:38You were literally mister Bear is how I see this. Also,
- 39:41you talked about how you seem dead bodies and real
- 39:43lives and stuff. Mister Bear, mister Bear.
- 39:46Speaker 3: Okay, I know I'm a YouTuber, but that doesn't mean
- 39:49I'm a pedophile. I know that's my line and oh god,
- 40:00all right. No update one November fourteenth, two thousand and nine.
- 40:09People have been emailing me asking what exactly happened in
- 40:12nineteen ninety nine. I'll get to that. Those weird TV
- 40:16shows I was watching apparently were met to attract kids
- 40:19to mister Bear's house. What mister Bear did shocked the
- 40:23entire town. My dad actually drove me to Caldan along
- 40:27with the address mister Bear left on the letter. The
- 40:30house was actually in the outskirts of the town, in
- 40:33the open farmland. I still remember that house. It looked
- 40:37like an older farmhouse that looked to have been built
- 40:40in the early nineteen hundreds. The windows were all boarded
- 40:44up and the house looked in a state of disrepair.
- 40:48As we walked up to the house, I remember my
- 40:50dad shocking address over and over again and looking at
- 40:54the house in disbelief. Then the door opened. I'm sorry,
- 40:58did you have something you wanted to add? What?
- 41:05Speaker 2: The entire the entire house is boarded up, and the
- 41:08Dad's like, is this is this right? Okay? Well I guess.
- 41:16Speaker 3: Yo. Is this where Kimber's funeral is? Hey?
- 41:19Speaker 2: Is this where mister Bear Cellar's at? Yes, Kimber's Mber's mom.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Is this where Kimber's Yeah, yo, they got sandwiches in here?
- 41:30Speaker 2: Oh yo, yes, anyway, the door opens.
- 41:41Speaker 3: I expected mister bear to be at the door, but
- 41:43I was surprised to see if police officer emerge from
- 41:46the creeking doorway.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Marcus, Oh yeah, Marcus, yeah, So.
- 41:51Speaker 3: What are you some kind of mister bear hunter?
- 41:55Speaker 2: I heard there's a big animalphic bear walking around here.
- 41:58Speaker 3: Just all the story yea on each other, there goes whip.
- 42:04Oh look at that that's there, you goes? Oh? Do
- 42:07we take a ride up here Bristol? Yeah? I have
- 42:14hold on before we go in the house, let me
- 42:16check my Facebook account. I got a message from my
- 42:18dead girlfriend.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Girlfund He was messaging me on Facebook. All right now,
- 42:22we're good. No messages, all right?
- 42:24Speaker 3: Wait? What's that? Are those giant chicken eggs on the poor?
- 42:29I hope the eye looks lady didn't leave us here. Okay,
- 42:33I'm good.
- 42:34Speaker 2: I think that's all of them.
- 42:39Speaker 3: Oh wait, be careful, there's some stairs in those ones.
- 42:44Speaker 2: No, no, now, we're good. Yeah.
- 42:48Speaker 3: I expected mister Bhair to be at the door, but
- 42:51I was surprised to see a police officer emerge from
- 42:53the creaking doorway. The officer began talking to my dad. Well.
- 42:57I quickly asked if that was mister Bear's house. The
- 43:01officer's face cringed slightly, and he muttered, oh god, did
- 43:06you have to do that in the Wavid season voice?
- 43:11Speaker 2: Oh god, was that better?
- 43:17Speaker 3: I'm not imagine. That's stupid. You know, I'm glad they
- 43:19took that VIDEOTEWN because man, stupid in a police office.
- 43:27We're gonna get through this paragraph, okay, hold on, yes,
- 43:31or something like that. He started talking quietly to my dad,
- 43:35so I couldn't hear, although my dad told me to
- 43:37go to the car anyway, and then we just went home.
- 43:41My dad was quiet the whole way home. I felt
- 43:43something strange had happened. My dad never told me what happened.
- 43:47For a while, I forgot about it anyway, too. Channel
- 43:51twenty one no longer came on, and when I asked
- 43:53about it, my dad would not acknowledge his existence. I
- 43:58think it was when I was thirteen where I learned
- 44:00the truth. I remember Channel twenty one one day and
- 44:03asked my dad about it. I guess he finally decided
- 44:06I should hear the truth. Kalad On Local twenty one
- 44:09was a local TV channel that ran from October of
- 44:11nineteen ninety seven to August of nineteen ninety nine in
- 44:14the Peel region of Ontario. The entire channel was made
- 44:18from a house Kaledon when I visited, and run by
- 44:22a man who was not really known by anyone in
- 44:24the town. The channel was only available to older TVs
- 44:28because the signal was one only picked up by rabbit
- 44:31ears or weaker frequency. The man created all the shows
- 44:35on the channel, all of which were kids shows. He
- 44:38was mister Bear and he was a mysterious cameraman. The
- 44:42real reason he created the channel was more disturbing than
- 44:45what was originally thought. As you might have already guessed,
- 44:49he kidnapped kids and held them into cellar. But while
- 44:53most people thought he was a serial child molester, he
- 44:56really wanted to use the kids for another purpose. The
- 45:00day I arrived, the man had fled his house the
- 45:03night before, the day before the police went in for
- 45:06their investigation. I wasn't the only one who was watching. Hmm.
- 45:11Speaker 2: Interesting, So they haven't even caught him.
- 45:13Speaker 3: No, he's still out there somewhere.
- 45:15Speaker 2: Yeah, he's still out there somewhere. Oh. The weird thing too,
- 45:18of what do you think his other purpose was?
- 45:23Speaker 3: I don't know, man, it could really be anything. What
- 45:26do you think it was?
- 45:28Speaker 2: I don't know. I can't tell if it's veering into
- 45:29like child.
- 45:31Speaker 1: Sacrifice maybe of some sort.
- 45:34Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of, like a seller and that
- 45:37kind of thing. Really, there hasn't been that much. I mean, obviously,
- 45:39I literally thought it was gonna be the I thought
- 45:42it was gonna be like a molestation murder kind of thing.
- 45:45But another purpose makes me think that there's something. It
- 45:51just feels a bit more cryptic to where it's like
- 45:53I'm not sure. I mean, like my media other go
- 45:56to is like, oh, sacrificial purposes of some sort, But
- 45:59I'm not sure.
- 46:00Speaker 3: I don't know well, we'll see what we'll get to do.
- 46:02There's another update.
- 46:04Speaker 2: So his thing to here is that he updated it,
- 46:06so the it jumped from August of ninety nine to
- 46:09November fourteenth, two thousand and nine. So has he been
- 46:12has he been the consistent age the entire time of
- 46:15has he just been our narrator? That's sixteen?
- 46:17Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 46:17Speaker 2: Yeah, and this is him now in real time he's been?
- 46:20Speaker 3: Is that original post? I'm not sure what date it
- 46:22was made, but it was it was in two thousand
- 46:25and nine, So it's him at sixteen talking about the
- 46:28story like what he saw as a kid, and now
- 46:30it's him updating after the first post was out. Okay,
- 46:34so our next post is December the second two thousand
- 46:37and nine Update two. Sorry for not answering any questions
- 46:42for so long. I haven't accessed my email account for
- 46:45some time. Anyway, let me finally set things straight about
- 46:49what I know. Back in October, I visited the house
- 46:52previously owned by the man who ran calad On Local
- 46:54twenty one. Two women live there, operating a daycare business.
- 46:59How ironic? Now to answer the questions, you guys, email
- 47:02to me. Question one, who else watched Caledon? Local twenty one.
- 47:09I know other people watched it for sure, including those
- 47:12kids who wound up at mister Bear's house. After some
- 47:15Google searches, I found a few people on the Neoseeker
- 47:18forums who were discussing shows from Calaedon Local twenty one.
- 47:22They talked about the two shows I watch, but also
- 47:25another two shows I'd never seen before. A user named
- 47:28I am real Life seem to know all the shows
- 47:31that were broadcasted on Channel twenty one. Here are the
- 47:33two I've never heard of. One the Fallen Angel in Life.
- 47:38I am real Life described it as a fairly boring
- 47:41show about a guy rambling on and on in front
- 47:43of the camera about how we must please Satan and
- 47:46appease him before it's too late. And the second show
- 47:49Paint with a soul. I am real Life and another
- 47:52user called SIGGI ninety two were discussing this show. They
- 47:56described it as Blair Witch like as it consisted of
- 47:59the cameraman wandering around the forest at night doing nothing
- 48:03particularly interesting. I'll go looking for the conversation and see
- 48:07if I can get the link. How do you feel
- 48:09after that that first question?
- 48:11Speaker 2: Interesting? I mean, I think it helps it kind of
- 48:15makes you push to solidifying the idea that there's some
- 48:17kind of worship or some kind of sacrifice going on here,
- 48:21and then it feels like the paint with the soul
- 48:23thing is definitely him. He's either potentially lurking around other people,
- 48:30like trying to find people, or there is some kind
- 48:32of thing out in some kind of forest that he
- 48:35is visiting, some kind of alter, you know what I mean,
- 48:37some kind of worshiping altar or something. I'm not sure.
- 48:39Speaker 3: I think what my theory is is that it was
- 48:43a guy who initially figured out how to broadcast on
- 48:46a local channel no one watched, and maybe he began
- 48:48with stuff like the Fallen Angel in life, where he's
- 48:51just like, oh, we have to do good for Satan,
- 48:55and then he learns sort of that a better way
- 48:59to go about it is the mister Bear broadcast right that, like,
- 49:03maybe maybe he could hide himself a little bit, not well,
- 49:06but at least to children.
- 49:08Speaker 2: I'm wondering too, will not only hide himself to children,
- 49:10but I'm also wondering instead of having to go out
- 49:13and look for people or like assumably I mean, like
- 49:15I'm making assumptions here, but break into people's houses and
- 49:20steal kids. This way, it's like they come to him,
- 49:22you know what I mean. Like it's much more alluring
- 49:25that way.
- 49:27Speaker 3: So yeah, Question three, where is mister Bear or the
- 49:31guys who or the guy who wore the costume? If
- 49:35I did know, I would have said earlier. I have
- 49:38no idea where the guy is or if he's dead
- 49:40or alive, hopefully dead. When I see my dad's friend
- 49:43next time, I'll ask him about this, maybe I can
- 49:45get a more definite answer. I think question number four,
- 49:49what did mister Behar do to the children? This is
- 49:52by far the most common question I've been asked. I
- 49:54found this out in October as well, via my dad's friend,
- 49:57who is a retired Caledon regional officer. Apparently, the man
- 50:01playing mister Bhaer took the kids out of the house
- 50:04and into the forest nearby. What he did there police
- 50:07are not exactly sure how it happened, but sixteen charred
- 50:10bodies of children between the ages of four to thirteen
- 50:13were found in a fifteen by fifteen foot ditch deep
- 50:16within the forest. My dad's friend did not want to
- 50:19go into exact details, but I'm seeing him next Thursday anyway,
- 50:23So maybe I can extort more information from him. Then
- 50:28it's all I have for now. Thanks for keeping an
- 50:30interest in my blog. I'll try together as much information
- 50:33as I can for my next post. I've actually been
- 50:35getting pretty interested in this myself. It should be my
- 50:38right to know what the hell happened.
- 50:40Speaker 2: Okay, so definitely some kind of I mean, seems like
- 50:44he's taking people out there, sacrificing them for something. Now
- 50:47I'm wondering more so, my curiosity is leaning into is
- 50:50there any actual paranormal significance that's gonna happen or is
- 50:54it just a madman? Because you know what kind of
- 50:56reminds me of a bit if you know, you know
- 50:58Temple os.
- 50:59Speaker 3: Oh yes, gosh, man, you just gave me a flashback.
- 51:02But yeah, I'm familiar.
- 51:03Speaker 2: Yeah, crazy religious guy making something, you know, and he's
- 51:06just like hunkering down and posting it on the internet.
- 51:09But the same way it makes me think of like
- 51:11delusional man. If it's not paranormal, it's like delusional man,
- 51:16like weird Satanist guy thinks he has to appease probably
- 51:19some kind of weird voices in his brain or do
- 51:21some kind of you know, something along those lines, the
- 51:25connections are there, so I'm now I'm curious to see,
- 51:27oh is this going to go into a paranormal direction
- 51:29or not. It's it's it's pretty fascinating.
- 51:31Speaker 3: Yeah, it's definitely keeps like so far, it hasn't fallen
- 51:34off anywhere, right, it kind of keeps attention, Like, sure,
- 51:37it's revealing stuff like the children were killed and there's
- 51:40some reference to Satan, but we still don't know enough
- 51:43specifics that it kind of gives away, right, it doesn't
- 51:45show his hand too quick. Update four right, yeah, Update
- 51:49four January fourteenth, twenty ten. I'm sorry I haven't posted
- 51:54anything for a while. I kind of lost interest in
- 51:57this blog since I hit a standstill while looking for
- 51:59more information about the identity of the owner of Caledon
- 52:02Local twenty one. However, a few weeks ago I struck gold.
- 52:06I found some answer, surprisingly from the father of a
- 52:09kid I used to babysit. He lives just across from
- 52:12my street and I used to look after his kids
- 52:15when they were younger. He currently doesn't have a job either.
- 52:19He used to live near the woods outside of Caledon
- 52:21and witnessed the owner's activities in the woods. His name
- 52:25is Anthony Polo. When he lived in the small bungalow
- 52:28outside the woods, he would often venture in to smoke
- 52:31a join in marijuana or two before returning to his
- 52:34work as a wood craftsman. Paulo described that sometimes he
- 52:38would hear voices of children coming from deeper within the woods,
- 52:42as well as a glowing light off in the distance.
- 52:45Polo told me that these events started in late nineteen
- 52:48ninety seven. No, this is around the time Caledon Local
- 52:51twenty one began airing. He apparently became annoyed by this
- 52:55happening every once in a while and actually went to investigate.
- 52:59Polo then described what the whole scene looked like when
- 53:01he got there. There's a group of kids, he said,
- 53:04about thirteen to seventeen and ages five to twelve, gathered
- 53:07around a large fire pit with the burning fire. With
- 53:11them was a single adult. Polo talked to the man,
- 53:14noting his uncamped appearance of a crack addict as well
- 53:17as his constant twitching, and asked what he was doing
- 53:20out in the forest with children. The man said they
- 53:23were on a camping trip, something they did frequently. Polo
- 53:27not suspecting anything. God, dude, you thought the dad was bad.
- 53:38Speaker 2: Imagine seeing a crack aded looking guy twitching and he's like,
- 53:41we're on a camping trip and all the kids are
- 53:42like probably looking at him horrified, and he's just like
- 53:45smoking his joint. He's like, all right, any this is
- 53:50the lowest crime rate in Canada.
- 53:52Speaker 3: Yeah. The next line is so funny. It says Polo
- 53:55not suspected anything, as Kaladan as one of the lowest
- 53:58lowest crime rates in Canada. Man. The idea of like
- 54:02you see a visit, like any single father who wants
- 54:06to do crack with his seventeen children is a friend
- 54:10of mine.
- 54:11Speaker 2: Just camping. I'm sorry, I just wait, wait what did
- 54:18you just do that?
- 54:18Speaker 3: Right?
- 54:19Speaker 2: And he's like, like person, he's like holding one of
- 54:21their hands, like squeezing it really hard, having fun out here. Sorry,
- 54:25sorry about that.
- 54:26Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 54:27Speaker 2: Well, oh my god, dude. The next read the rest
- 54:29of this sentence.
- 54:30Speaker 3: All right. Next one simply left it at that and
- 54:33told them to be quieter.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Imagic. He's like, all right, well, if you guys could
- 54:40stop throwing each other into the fire here and screaming
- 54:44and crying, and I'd be so nice because I'm trying
- 54:46to it's so hard for me to think with you
- 54:49guys screaming so much and talking blocking me out. Man.
- 54:55Speaker 3: Yeah, the idea of like a kid grabs his hand
- 54:58and it's like please, he help me, mister, and he's like, well,
- 55:01you pipe down. I'm trying to have a conversation with
- 55:04your father here.
- 55:06Speaker 2: You're so loud, You're so loud. Quiet. I don't think.
- 55:12Speaker 3: I want to talk to the crackhead. Make sure you're safe.
- 55:17Who is help? That's not my name? Stop asking for him.
- 55:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:22Speaker 3: Paula then paused for a while before telling me that
- 55:25they never became quieter. In fact, sometimes he heard loud
- 55:29chanting from the children in an unknown language.
- 55:31Speaker 2: Oh my god, what.
- 55:34Speaker 3: Children?
- 55:35Speaker 2: Oh I think I think that's Latin. Dude is dead language?
- 55:43Oh man, Oh god, he didn't bother meeting with the
- 55:48man again as he was I'm.
- 55:51Speaker 3: Getting the who cares says he didn't bother meeting with
- 55:54the man as he was moving away anyway.
- 55:57Speaker 2: What god, dude, talk to that guy. Holo and the
- 56:00man's dad need to be arrested immediately. We're in a
- 56:03very tight race for the worst. These the worst characters
- 56:07out of a store like not like not badly. I
- 56:09just mean, like just bad ding prison. Yes, there needs
- 56:14to be a tear list.
- 56:16Speaker 3: This is the worst part. Listen. I told Polo that
- 56:18the man was probably the owner of caled On Local
- 56:21twenty one, but he doubted it as he heard that
- 56:23the man was moving to Pickering by several other residents
- 56:26near that area.
- 56:27Speaker 2: Bro, No, I doubt that. No, No, I doubt it.
- 56:31Speaker 3: So anyway, Yeah, I was in the woods and I
- 56:33found these seventeen children ages five to twelve, with this
- 56:38one man around of firepower. Oh that sounds like the
- 56:40police case of the man with seventeen children as five
- 56:43to twelve round of fire. Now it doesn't check out
- 56:46because I heard that guy someone told me he moved.
- 56:49Speaker 2: No, I have it on pretty good authority that that
- 56:51guy's left. So probably not.
- 56:54Speaker 3: That you need to check your records, because the ones
- 56:57I knew were chanting Laddin and cutting themselves in a
- 57:00family friendly fashion. Not yet.
- 57:02Speaker 2: Plus those kids were bleeding from their eyes and chanting
- 57:04the Latin, so I think they're like, there's there's sharp cookies. Like,
- 57:07I doubt that was them.
- 57:08Speaker 3: I think they could have. I think they could have
- 57:10fought that guy off if that was him. So I
- 57:12think that was their dad, and he just really liked crack.
- 57:15Speaker 2: Okay, it doesn't like a little hit of crack every
- 57:20once in a while. God, not a big deal. Good Lord.
- 57:23Speaker 3: Here's what I know now. The man would take the
- 57:27kids into the woods regularly for quote, camping the fire
- 57:30pit Polo described. Maybe the hole the bodies of the
- 57:33children were found in. The children Polo saw are probably
- 57:37the ones found dead.
- 57:39Speaker 2: Probably, Okay, Yeah, I like all these, like maybe the
- 57:43whole the bodies were found in, and Polo saw the
- 57:46children's poles are probably the ones found dead. It's like,
- 57:49I I didn't, you know, hey, I don't think we
- 57:51need to be in fucking inspect their gadget to realize that. Yeah,
- 57:54these but I mean, you know, I mean, come on, man.
- 57:58Speaker 3: That reminds me. I can't remember what it was. I'll
- 58:01send it to you if I can find it. But
- 58:02there's this YouTube video I watched one time where they
- 58:04were trying to prove this guy on TV was an
- 58:07individual who had a criminal record. Right, So he shows
- 58:10the two side by side and they're clearly the same person.
- 58:13But then he spends ten minutes like, as we can
- 58:16see his name here is this which matches his name here,
- 58:20but that's not all. They have the same social security number,
- 58:24but that's not all. We both see, and it got
- 58:27down to the point they were wearing the same shirt
- 58:29and two different photos.
- 58:31Speaker 2: And he's still like, it's like, we get it, it's
- 58:33the same guy.
- 58:33Speaker 3: At the end, he's like, with this information, we can
- 58:35safely assume this is the same individual.
- 58:39Speaker 2: We can safely assume. God, that's what this reminds me of.
- 58:46Speaker 3: The man moved to a city called Pickering, a small
- 58:49city east of Toronto. I will discuss this with my
- 58:52dad's friend, the ex cop, and see if this matches
- 58:54anything the police knew about the man. I also want
- 58:57to see if he has any other knowledge of what
- 58:59was air on Kalaedan Local twenty one.
- 59:02Speaker 2: Surely we have to assume that the uh, the broadcasts
- 59:06are going to start coming back somehow, is what I'm
- 59:08going to assume.
- 59:09Speaker 3: I don't know, but we'll see, we shall see. I
- 59:14see the next update. February tenth, twenty ten. Good news, guys.
- 59:22I talked to my dad's friend and he disclosed a
- 59:24lot of information for me. First, I asked if the
- 59:26police had any information on the man who ran Kalad
- 59:29On Local twenty one. He replied that they have only
- 59:32had the same leads for years, never found a suspect. However,
- 59:36the Peel Regional Police do have some of the tapes
- 59:38found in the house kalad On Local twenty one was
- 59:41broadcasted from. He took me over so I could watch
- 59:45a few I guess I haven't said anything. I haven't
- 59:47said much about him yet. My dad's friend's name is
- 59:50Mitchell Wilson, a pretty nice guy. He seems to understand
- 59:54my thirst for knowledge on what happened during the late
- 59:56nineties in that house. He feels it was wrong that
- 59:59my dad went so long without telling me much. He
- 1:00:02took me to the Davis Road Police station. If you
- 1:00:04don't know, it's the largest station in Caledon and one
- 1:00:07of the largest within the Peel region itself. One of
- 1:00:10the main stations around Peel have some of the tapes.
- 1:00:13I was able to watch all the footage that the
- 1:00:15Davis Road station has. Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to take
- 1:00:19any tapes home for obvious reasons.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: I just want to say one thing I really like
- 1:00:23with a lot of these stories, and that this is
- 1:00:24setting up really well too. Is I like the amount
- 1:00:27of the amount of times that like adults like withhold
- 1:00:30things from their children, yeah, or what like almost like
- 1:00:33no kid could ever handle hearing these things or being
- 1:00:36left in the dark, and it always proves to be
- 1:00:38the wrong thing instead of just being completely transparent and
- 1:00:42having it be like an open discussion in due time.
- 1:00:44Like I don't think you have to traumatize somebody, but
- 1:00:46I do think, like I think that like this deception
- 1:00:49that it starts off with is like also what like
- 1:00:52lends so many people to be digging so much more.
- 1:00:54And now my gut reaction too is that Elliott is
- 1:00:57gonna dig too far and something like I don't know,
- 1:00:59Like I I would hate for him to be like, man,
- 1:01:01no one is giving me answers, I need to keep digging,
- 1:01:04and then it ends up like really backfiring on.
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: Him, you know what I mean, like finding mister Bear
- 1:01:09on his own or something like that.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly exactly.
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: I think, Uh, I think it's a good trickle of information,
- 1:01:16Whereas like you're not going to tell a six year
- 1:01:18old what happened, but you tell a sixteen year old
- 1:01:20what happened, right, I.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: Think you could. I think that even like a thirteen
- 1:01:23year old or something where it's like you, you're obviously
- 1:01:26not mature yet, but I think that you have enough
- 1:01:30cognitive functioning to where you could be like, hey, this
- 1:01:33is what happened, and it's like a really pretty horrifying thing.
- 1:01:37I think that as you're growing, you need to know
- 1:01:39like the dangers of what's going on. Especially I would
- 1:01:41feel so guilty if I took someone there and it
- 1:01:44ended up being something horrible right where you'd almost want
- 1:01:47to be like, let's not have that happen again, et cetera.
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, no, I agree. I think, uh, it's also
- 1:01:53a good trickle because like now Mitchell's like, you're you
- 1:01:56can see the tapes, you know, I understand, I'll let
- 1:01:58you see him. And it all also is good for
- 1:02:00the reader because we have a good balance between hearing
- 1:02:03new tapes and then talking about what they might mean.
- 1:02:06Stuff like that.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: Yeah. I think, as with a lot of these stories,
- 1:02:12the deception with the parents is always weird. I'm like
- 1:02:14still kind of skeptical with the dad because I do
- 1:02:16like the line where he says Mitchell says he feels
- 1:02:20it was wrong or this is in reference to Elliott
- 1:02:22saying what Mitchell said, he feels it was wrong that
- 1:02:24my dad went so long without telling me much. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:02:27It's just one of the line where I'm like, I
- 1:02:30don't know, I'm watching that dad. I'm watching that dad now,
- 1:02:32I don't know.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: So the episodes that he was shown Paint with the
- 1:02:36Soul episode ten Garbage Thrown Away. Paint with the Soul
- 1:02:41was one of the shows that I Am Real Life
- 1:02:42in Signing ninety two discussed on Neoseeker. I told the
- 1:02:45police about this and they informed me that twelve episodes
- 1:02:48of the show were made and broadcasted between December fifth,
- 1:02:51nineteen ninety seven and January eighth, nineteen ninety eight. This
- 1:02:55also further backs up my theory that this and the
- 1:02:58Satan show would have come first, because he ended early
- 1:03:00nineteen ninety eight to do more Mister Bear stuff, So
- 1:03:03it seems like Paint with the Soul came first, exactly
- 1:03:07as I Am Real Life and Signy ninety two described.
- 1:03:09The episode opened with the cameraman wandering around in a forest.
- 1:03:13It appeared to be during this evening, as it seems
- 1:03:16the sun was setting. The cameraman walked along a path
- 1:03:19until he got to an area where there was a
- 1:03:21lot of garbage line in the leaves. The camera looked
- 1:03:24around at the various rappers, bottles, bags, and boxes, making
- 1:03:27sure each item got a few seconds of screen time.
- 1:03:30The camera then focused on a single area before the
- 1:03:33man spoke. I recall he spoke in a very timid,
- 1:03:36quiet voice, and I swear I've heard it somewhere else before,
- 1:03:40like on another caled On Local twenty one show. I
- 1:03:43could barely hear what he was saying, but he mainly
- 1:03:46talked about how humans are garbage or something that had
- 1:03:49to do with saving ourselves by cleaning up the garbage
- 1:03:52or us. It actually sounded really stupid, but still a
- 1:03:57feeling of dread came over me. I mean that Forrest
- 1:04:00was possibly where those bodies were found, right, mister Bear
- 1:04:04Sellar episode twenty five. When the police administrator brought in
- 1:04:08this tape, I actually said, oh shit and chuckled a
- 1:04:12bit out loud. Of course, I got stared from the staff,
- 1:04:15but Wilson explained to them about my little experience with
- 1:04:18mister Bear and how I still kept the letter he
- 1:04:20sent me. Like the previous episodes, this one included a
- 1:04:23guy wearing a bear mascot costume. The episode began with
- 1:04:27mister Bear waddling over to his cellar door with a
- 1:04:30bottle of orange juice in his paws. On the ground
- 1:04:33were sixteen shot glasses, as well as a small bottle
- 1:04:36that contained an unknown liquid. Mister Bear poured an equal
- 1:04:40amount of orange juice into each glass before opening the
- 1:04:43smaller bottle and depositing one drop into the glasses. Mister
- 1:04:47Bear then went off camera. There was some minor sounds
- 1:04:50such as shuffling, and the mister Bir emerged from behind
- 1:04:53the camera's location. Following him were sixteen children. Some looked
- 1:04:58as young as four, while others looked like they were
- 1:05:01practically teenagers. As the children entered, the administrator commented that
- 1:05:06this is the only episode that showed all sixteen victims.
- 1:05:10The kids all looked rather content, except for this one,
- 1:05:13who had visible bruises on his face and unlike the
- 1:05:16other kids, he had a more fearful expression. He also
- 1:05:20looked about eleven oh twelve, which caused me to recognize him.
- 1:05:24He was the kid who asked about his sister and
- 1:05:26subsequently meant an unknown fate at the end of episode
- 1:05:29twenty three. That one episode I watched during July ninety nine.
- 1:05:33When I told the administrator this, he confirmed it was
- 1:05:35the same kid. He was also featured in twenty four,
- 1:05:39an episode that only aired once at three pm in
- 1:05:43July of ninety nine. The police have still not found
- 1:05:45the tape. Mister Bear then broke into song, singing about
- 1:05:49citrus fruits and how good vitamin C was for you.
- 1:05:52I could barely hear the lyrics as they were muffled
- 1:05:54by the bear mask. The kids all drink their juice,
- 1:05:58the one from episode twenty three doing it rather reluctantly,
- 1:06:01and the episode ended. After viewing the tapes in possession
- 1:06:05of the David Road police station, I'm satisfied, but only temporarily.
- 1:06:10I still want to know the full story. The police
- 1:06:13just keep giving me the same crap about the creator
- 1:06:15of calaed On Local twenty one being a fetishist pedophile
- 1:06:18as well as an apparent cultist. I'll start off for now,
- 1:06:22get into university first and get information later. Hopefully I'll
- 1:06:26get back to this blog as soon as possible.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: I mean, we're getting to a spot here where I
- 1:06:33the thing about him. I don't know how you read this,
- 1:06:34but when he put the drop of stuff in the
- 1:06:36orange juice. It almost makes you think it's like a
- 1:06:38sedative or something that in a way makes me think
- 1:06:44maybe would help them not feel pain whatever, Like does
- 1:06:47is the guy is mister bhar Is he feeling sympathetic
- 1:06:52towards his kids. He's obviously some kind of mentally unwell man,
- 1:06:55But is he is? It gonna be one of those
- 1:06:56things where it's like the voices are telling me to
- 1:06:58do this, but I don't want to, or something, you know,
- 1:07:01like the information we're being given. I'm wondering what kind
- 1:07:06of drug he's given them. It seems like sedating them somehow,
- 1:07:09but I'm not.
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: I'm not There would be a kind of drug that
- 1:07:11just kind of made the kids more passive, you know,
- 1:07:14they'll go along with whatever he says, kind of dult
- 1:07:17their senses, so to speak. We can also see that
- 1:07:20after that kid tried to get away, he was physically
- 1:07:22beat and now he's drinking it because he's in fear
- 1:07:25of that happening again.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: Well, yeah, he doesn't want to have that happen to
- 1:07:28him again. I'm wondering when if Elliott is going to
- 1:07:31try to reach out and meet up with I am
- 1:07:33real life in Siggy ninety two. I wonder if I
- 1:07:37wonder if they're going to have any kind of like
- 1:07:40meet up to be able to meet him in person
- 1:07:41or something. I'm curious like to I'd like to see
- 1:07:45if he meets them in person and to see, like
- 1:07:47what kind of conversation that would be.
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, continuing on next update. May. Last month, I
- 1:07:56finally got my G two license in Ontario. Canada allows
- 1:08:00you to drive in a car by yourself as well
- 1:08:02as with some passengers after six months. I of course
- 1:08:06took advantage of this and drove into Caladon for a
- 1:08:09little Sunday drive. Since I haven't updated this blog in
- 1:08:12a while, I figured I might as well visit the
- 1:08:14house where the infamous channel of my childhood was located.
- 1:08:18The house looked different than when I saw it last
- 1:08:20in October. The place is no longer used as a
- 1:08:23daycare and just sat there abandoned. However, it did have
- 1:08:27a for sales sign showing me that someone still owned
- 1:08:30it wanting to get rid of it, though, So I
- 1:08:32want to ask you, what do you think of going back?
- 1:08:36You know he's not there logically, right, but what do
- 1:08:42you think about driving to the house.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: I think if you're in search of I think, if
- 1:08:46you're in search of answers, I think that you would
- 1:08:49you'd want to think that er I believe the desperation
- 1:08:53of your mind would think that there is something there
- 1:08:55that someone has not picked up on. Right. I think
- 1:08:58that also being in this thing and feeling this connection
- 1:09:01to something that's like mentally overtakes you seeing it. Feeling
- 1:09:05it in person is probably so much different. But I
- 1:09:08would say that it's you being like them being obsessed
- 1:09:12on the aspect of like him being like a pedophile
- 1:09:16and stuff. I think that even Elliott's just like, I
- 1:09:19think that there's something more at play here than that,
- 1:09:22and I think that he is wanting that kind of closure,
- 1:09:26especially because I mean, in a sense, he came so
- 1:09:29close to death himself. So it's like, I mean, I
- 1:09:33don't know. I mean, if it was me in the situation,
- 1:09:35I would be reading it like there is something that
- 1:09:37someone has not uncovered yet. In a fascination too. I mean,
- 1:09:41in a way, it's like it's almost like an obelisk
- 1:09:43er an old temple to this guy, you know what
- 1:09:46I mean, It's still standing, it's there, it represents all
- 1:09:48of these evils in.
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: A way, Yeah, I think I would want to go
- 1:09:53to I don't know if it'd be a good idea,
- 1:09:56but i'd probably want to at least.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, at this point two, from what we've read,
- 1:10:01there's nothing to say that it's still harmful now, So
- 1:10:05I think that, like, I don't think I don't think
- 1:10:06it's like a negative to go back. I think it's
- 1:10:09just a matter of I'm wondering if his intentions are
- 1:10:11to just find something that has not been uncovered.
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: No, it might be there might be something there. Uh.
- 1:10:19The abandoned house drew fuzzy memories from my mind, mainly
- 1:10:22of that day my dad took me to visit mister Bear.
- 1:10:25A feeling of dread came upon me what happened to
- 1:10:27the children while they were living in that house. I
- 1:10:30walked up the steps to the front door and peered
- 1:10:32through the window inside. I could see a nearly empty
- 1:10:35hallway with a few boxes at the end. At the
- 1:10:38end of the hallway to the right was an open
- 1:10:40doorway presumably leading to the kitchen to the left or
- 1:10:43two doors, both apparently leading to the rooms visible through
- 1:10:47the windows outside. I wondered where the cellar entrance was
- 1:10:51located and whether it had been sealed up. I walked
- 1:10:54around to the back of the house and found my answer,
- 1:10:57two wooden doors lying at an almost flat aim where
- 1:11:00padlocks shut. This had to lead to the cellar. Not
- 1:11:04wanting to hang around, you cannot imagine what was going
- 1:11:07through my mind at that time, I departed behind the house.
- 1:11:12The empty field continue on until it reached a dense
- 1:11:15forest that lined the horizon. I wondered if that was
- 1:11:18the forest where the bodies of the children were found.
- 1:11:22I thought to myself, screw it up, Sorry, go.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: Ahead, I was just say firs.
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: And proceeded to walk across the field behind the house
- 1:11:31into the forest. The forest was oddly quiet, save for
- 1:11:35the few periodic sounds of a woodpecker drilling into a
- 1:11:38distant tree. I cautiously made my way deeper into the woods,
- 1:11:42not really caring about the fact that I had no
- 1:11:44idea where I was going. I don't know how to
- 1:11:47explain it, but it felt like there was something I
- 1:11:50had to find. I came to a thinner part of
- 1:11:52the woods and a few small houses in the distance.
- 1:11:56Polo's house crossed my mind, and I wondered if one
- 1:11:58of those homes had belonged to him. I neared a
- 1:12:01small clearing in which I could see three adequately sized
- 1:12:04logs gathered around a black, charred area, showing a small
- 1:12:07fire had been lit there recently.
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: Hey, get the fuck out of our fort.
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: Those words nearly gave me a heart attack. I turned
- 1:12:16to my left and saw two dark clothes people running
- 1:12:18towards me. My initial thought was to run. However, as
- 1:12:22they came closer, I saw that they were just kids
- 1:12:25in their early teens, possibly thirteen or fourteen, maybe even twelve.
- 1:12:29As they approached me, they realized my size as well.
- 1:12:32I'm six' one, while they could be no bigger than
- 1:12:35five eight one might have been five to seven.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: Damn big fuck sixteen year old.
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: Goddamn, he's the big one.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: All boys eating his green beans and stuff.
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: My word, he's going pro immediately.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: Yeah, we said, get the fuck out.
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: The larger one, who was wearing a slip knot shirt, Hey,
- 1:12:57there's a reference, he said, Hey, it's not a biscuit,
- 1:13:00but it's a reference to something there it is.
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: I like that.
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: The large one who's wearing a slip knot shirt said
- 1:13:06half heartedly. I stood my ground and shrugged shorter. One
- 1:13:09was wearing a Metallica shirt. There you go. Another one
- 1:13:12like that swung out a butterfly knife and held it
- 1:13:15in my direction.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: This is literally Beavis and butt Head.
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: Yes, you know what it is. You know what it is,
- 1:13:21the one reference we forgot to make earlier, the boys
- 1:13:24from Jeff the Killer.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: The shit.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: That's exactly right.
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: Looks like we've got some fresh meat.
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: It looks like looks like we've got some fresh meat.
- 1:13:37Oh I like this, I like this kind of No,
- 1:13:40you wouldn't want to.
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: I said, in a deep serious tone, trying to sound
- 1:13:45as bad ass as possible. I pulled out my cell phone.
- 1:13:51Two kids withdrew, the one in the Metallica shirt putting
- 1:13:54away the knife.
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: Look, dude, we don't like people in our fort so
- 1:13:58can you just go?
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: The one in the slipknot shirt said, obviously intimidated. I
- 1:14:03had no business in the forest anyway, so I uttered
- 1:14:05out a simple pharn and turned before I realized I
- 1:14:09had a great opportunity.
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: Did either of you hear a guy who murdered a
- 1:14:13bunch of kids in these woods about thirteen years ago?
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: I asked the kids. The two looked at each other
- 1:14:19in confusion. For the one wearing the Metallica shirt.
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: Answered, yeah, everyone knows about that guy.
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: He said to me, as if I were stupid. The
- 1:14:29kid in the Slipknot shirt continued.
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: He still lives around here in the storm drain. My
- 1:14:34big brother's friend said he saw him in a bear
- 1:14:36costume once wandering around the forest at night.
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: Whoa, Okay, that's the holy shit part of the entire city.
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: He still lives around here in the storm drain is crazy.
- 1:14:48He is crazy.
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: Oh that gave me chills the uh huh gosh, the
- 1:14:55idea of being in the woods at night and he's
- 1:14:57still wandering out there, like maybe looking for the kids
- 1:15:00he lost or looking for more and he lives in
- 1:15:02a storm drain. Could you imagine just peeking into a
- 1:15:05storm drain and seeing a bear costume?
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: Huh yeah? And you know, I mean I would assume
- 1:15:10too that he's still wearing it, as like some kind
- 1:15:12of weird identity kind of thing.
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: He is.
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: Miss guy's obviously mentally unwell. Anyways, Like, yeah, oh man.
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: That's awful. See what's wild is when I when I
- 1:15:21heard this story for the first time, stuff like that
- 1:15:23didn't stick out to me because I was like, I
- 1:15:26think I was twelve when I read this the first time,
- 1:15:28So to me, I'm just like, oh, that's a that's
- 1:15:31a creepy monster thing to have, right, it didn't hit
- 1:15:34as hard as it did just now.
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: Huh yeah, Well, you know what's kind of interesting what
- 1:15:38you saying that two at twelve? These guys are thirteen,
- 1:15:40and they're saying it as casually as you probably yeah, yeah, like,
- 1:15:43which which is pretty such yeah yeah, yeah yeah. Man.
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: My instincts told me this was probably a lie, and
- 1:15:50the owner of calad On Local twenty one is probably
- 1:15:52long gone, only existing as a folklore in this smaller
- 1:15:55isolated community. However, as a human, thought of the mysterious
- 1:15:59un known sparked interest within.
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: And where is the storm drain?
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: I asked, just out of curiosity. I don't actually believe
- 1:16:07the kid's story. The kid of the Metallica shirt stared
- 1:16:10at me for a few moments, his eyes seemingly full
- 1:16:12of annoyance yet curiosity for me.
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: You're not from around here, are you? Why did you
- 1:16:18even come here?
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: Now? I do admit I was slightly startled by the
- 1:16:22nature of his question. However, I figured I might as
- 1:16:26well explain why I was there, just in case people
- 1:16:29mistook my intentions. I told the two kids about my
- 1:16:32experience with the man in Kalad on Local twenty one,
- 1:16:35that I had come to maybe seek out some sort
- 1:16:37of closure, although even I wasn't exactly sure. The kids
- 1:16:42seemed familiar with the channel, as they smiled and looked
- 1:16:44at each other when I mentioned it. They also became
- 1:16:47more understanding and gave me a detailed description on how
- 1:16:49to get to the storm train. Shortly after, I decided
- 1:16:53to just turn around the way I came and head
- 1:16:55back to the house. Even the kids are there fort
- 1:16:58But now you're probably wondering why I left out such
- 1:17:00a detail about the kids. Wait, sorry, but now you're
- 1:17:04probably wondering why I left out such detail about what
- 1:17:07the kids told me just now. It is because I'm
- 1:17:10choosing to conclude what I have gathered. Now here's what
- 1:17:14the kids told me in detail. The storm drain lies
- 1:17:17ahead of the kids for same direction I was heading.
- 1:17:20The drain ends at a small river where access water
- 1:17:23is drained out. Near here is a small playground, the
- 1:17:26kids told me. People rarely use it. The man supposedly
- 1:17:30lives in the large pipe the rain water drains out of.
- 1:17:33People have seen him, although always either wearing a bear
- 1:17:36mask or the mask and a full body bear costume. No,
- 1:17:42I do not believe this is true and in fact
- 1:17:44simply a myth made by the residents of Caledon. The
- 1:17:46story does not seem plausible in any way. Why did
- 1:17:49no one call the police? Didn't this guy look suspicious?
- 1:17:52And other questions like this leave the story invalid. I
- 1:17:56may visit the storm train not because I believe the story,
- 1:17:59but because I want an excuse to visit calaed On again.
- 1:18:02So this blog doesn't die with no more tapes to watch.
- 1:18:06I don't know what to talk about anymore. Thanks for
- 1:18:09continuing to support me in my blog. I know many
- 1:18:11are looking forward to more information about what happened in
- 1:18:14Calidan during the year nineteen ninety nine, and I'll do
- 1:18:16my best to continue my research into the topic.
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: Elliott out Okay, and that was in May of twenty ten. Well,
- 1:18:24let me ask you, what do you think? Do you like?
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: I want to say, I do want to say immediately
- 1:18:30if we remove the polo part, because I feel like
- 1:18:33that kind of killed the pacing a bit. I feel
- 1:18:35like it was too much revealed at once, right, like, oh,
- 1:18:38they're fine and there's a fire. If we removed that part.
- 1:18:41This entire thing is so expertly dripped to the reader,
- 1:18:47like from from like, oh, there's this creepy guy back
- 1:18:51in ninety nine, and then a bunch of kids died,
- 1:18:54so that's why the police are interested. And then we
- 1:18:56hear more tapes, we start to put together psychology, we
- 1:18:59start to put to other purposes, and now we get
- 1:19:02in the detail that he's living in a storm drain nearby.
- 1:19:04Although in the real world I would say this is
- 1:19:06definitely an urban legend, right, because how does a guy
- 1:19:10live in the woods for ten years?
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: No one called the police, No one's spots and stuff
- 1:19:15like that. Yeah, but the story has given us just
- 1:19:20enough room for error with the supernatural that it could
- 1:19:23be possible maybe he's some spirit, maybe he's some ghost,
- 1:19:26something like that, right, And it puts you in this
- 1:19:30perfect gray area where you don't know what to believe,
- 1:19:33and it creates dread, it creates tension. It's so well
- 1:19:36done so far. I really this is a lot better
- 1:19:39than I thought it would be looking back on it now,
- 1:19:42and it's cool for that I'm happy to see that.
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: The thing that is peaking my curiosity at the moment
- 1:19:48is that the last it ended with even Elliott, our
- 1:19:54narrator or protagonist, even questioning the validity of like this
- 1:19:57is probably fake. I mean, this doesn't make sense to
- 1:20:00where the author knows that these questions are arising and
- 1:20:04I and I'm wondering, even though that this was like
- 1:20:06kind of continued on if the charred bodies is breadcrumbs
- 1:20:11that is trying to it's setting up some kind of
- 1:20:15subversion of expectation. I'm I'm very curious to see. I
- 1:20:18don't think that we've fully gotten a whole grasp of
- 1:20:21what's going on. And I don't think it's as simple
- 1:20:23as the guy being in a pipe, Like I think
- 1:20:24that I'm curious. I feel like we're heading down a
- 1:20:27very interesting Even.
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: If nothing more comes out of the guy in the
- 1:20:31pipe thing, I think it does serve to like the
- 1:20:34impact this event has had on the local community, right, No, sure,
- 1:20:38Like the legend is he's still out there, He's still
- 1:20:40in the woods. Yeah, yah, yeah, I think it works.
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: Yeah, he himself has become an urban legend. Yeah, I
- 1:20:45mean like that's yeah, that makes sense totally.
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: I'm loving this story so far.
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: I'm thrilled with Yeah, I'm I'm locked in right now,
- 1:20:52all right?
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: Next update October seventh, twenty ten. Wow, nearly five months
- 1:20:57since I last updated. I'm guessing everyone no one pretty
- 1:21:00much thinks I was dead right, Thankfully I'm not. But
- 1:21:03in all my seriousness, I really have been busy these
- 1:21:06past few months, and a blog about something that could
- 1:21:09have killed me as a kid is a little low
- 1:21:11on my current priorities list. As of now, I'm living
- 1:21:15in Waterloo, Ontario, attending the University of Waterloo for computer engineering. Yeah,
- 1:21:20I'm a keener. As you can imagine, engineering is no
- 1:21:24walk in the park. So obviously I nearly forgot about
- 1:21:27this blog. But as you can see now i'm back.
- 1:21:31I remember to visit the storm drain the kids from
- 1:21:34the Kaledon Force told me about. I was out in
- 1:21:37a clearing between the whatded areas nearby marsh. Unfortunately I
- 1:21:41found absolutely nothing, say for a turtle that retreated into
- 1:21:45its built in home when it saw me. I snapped
- 1:21:48some picks of the pipe, which I have posted as well. Also,
- 1:21:51let me tell you it was not a storm drain
- 1:21:54like they said it was what I saw was a
- 1:21:57simple pipe, possibly to channel the act excess water from
- 1:22:00the marsh. When I returned from Caladon, however, I simply
- 1:22:04can't putting it off uploading everything until I forgot all
- 1:22:07about my blog. It just didn't seem important anymore. Please
- 1:22:12forgive me. It wasn't until only recently that I am
- 1:22:15now interested in my case again. On September tenth, I
- 1:22:18received an email from this email address, return theb at
- 1:22:22hotmail dot com. Funny, am, I right, well, it gets better.
- 1:22:27I'm going to copy and paste the exact email this
- 1:22:30guy sent me.
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: Dear Eliot, my dear dear boy. You see the story
- 1:22:36may or may not be true, but it could happen.
- 1:22:40There are many slots for airtime you have. If you
- 1:22:44have money, you can have a public access TV channel.
- 1:22:48Some public access channels share airtime, like EWTN, which is
- 1:22:53a religious channel based out of Michigan that shows Catholic
- 1:22:56based programming, but during off air hours have independent shows
- 1:23:00or just blue screen. Cable networks have empty channels available
- 1:23:04for rent space, so the scenario of a pedo renting
- 1:23:07a channel on basic TV is not far fetched at all. However,
- 1:23:11Public Access TV is widely reviewed and can be terminated
- 1:23:15at any time. These are the rules of the United States,
- 1:23:18not for Canada, where the story took place. So if
- 1:23:20this happened in the US, the pedo would be tracked
- 1:23:23and arrested immediately. Yes, the story could happen, but it
- 1:23:27is unlikely. One hundred fuzzy hugs, mister Bear.
- 1:23:32Speaker 3: Now, obviously this letter is fake and sounds almost corrupted,
- 1:23:35But still I would like to thank whoever sent it,
- 1:23:38though they could use some English lessons. Just reading the
- 1:23:42letter creeped me out, but because of it, I am
- 1:23:45now full of this new interest to continue my blog.
- 1:23:48I guess it's just funny trying to pursue the mysteries
- 1:23:51I've always questioned. Now my roommate knows about all this.
- 1:23:55He thought the letter was real and actually seemed more
- 1:23:57scared than I was for a second. Then I shrugged
- 1:24:00it off, so he did too. I mean, what are
- 1:24:03the chances of this being real? How could mister Behar
- 1:24:06know all this about public access TV and about when
- 1:24:10I went to Caledon on those occasions more or less
- 1:24:14know my email or me still be interested in this
- 1:24:17in his seller? Hah, I'm going to send a reply
- 1:24:21to return the be Wow, just looking at that email address,
- 1:24:25you can tell someone wanted to freak me out. It
- 1:24:28didn't really work, though, Yeah, we can definitely tell. That's
- 1:24:31why you're still talking about it. Although, to whomever you are,
- 1:24:35thank you for sparking my interest back into the full matter.
- 1:24:39Maybe I can find out more about what happened to
- 1:24:41mister Behar, hopefully, because although I don't buy that email,
- 1:24:45a part of me still feels anxious. Thank you to
- 1:24:48all those who are still following me and become avid fans.
- 1:24:52You are also why I'm choosing to continuousness. Thanks guys,
- 1:24:57he sounds freaked out.
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: He's definitely freaked out the thing too, well, I guess
- 1:25:02just I'm out of curiosity. Do you think that that
- 1:25:05email is real? Or do you think it's like somebody
- 1:25:06who was following the story and then they I don't know.
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: I kind of feel the same way I do about
- 1:25:11the storm Drain thing. You know, it could just be
- 1:25:13set dressing to show how this has affected it, but
- 1:25:15it could also potentially be real, because we don't know
- 1:25:20if mister Bear's just a normal person. I don't think
- 1:25:23it's real, but if there's some supernatural element, then I
- 1:25:25think it definitely could be. Okay, I can tell he's
- 1:25:28getting freaked out by it though, so yeah.
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: I mean even the way he talked about the kids
- 1:25:33and stuff too, and how much he reiterated that he
- 1:25:35didn't believe what they were saying. I think that you
- 1:25:37could tell that. I think that he was trying to
- 1:25:40almost willfully think that he's like trying to convince himself
- 1:25:43it wasn't real. If that makes sense.
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so. Also, I will add, originally to
- 1:25:49my understanding, before this was all posted at creepypasta dot com,
- 1:25:53it was on Camden's actual blog he had, like his
- 1:25:57personal blog. Okay, so, I think those original pictures of
- 1:26:01what the storm drain looked like are now lost because
- 1:26:05I haven't seen them. I don't think I've seen anyone
- 1:26:07reshare them. But if anyone knows if those pictures can't
- 1:26:10be found, that would be cool, just for set dress
- 1:26:12in the video. But yeah, I think those pictures are
- 1:26:15lost because of the original blogs no longer up, which
- 1:26:18is gone. Yeah, I think so, at least all right now.
- 1:26:22But it's not like super indicative to the story. It
- 1:26:24was pictures of a storm.
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: No, it's it'd be nice.
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: It'd be nice. It's nice to have Yeah, just to
- 1:26:28see where it might be next. Update November seventh, twenty ten. Wow,
- 1:26:34I can't believe this blog hasn't been deleted yet. I
- 1:26:36haven't checked it for so long. I have my reasons
- 1:26:39and I'd rather not discuss them just yet. It has
- 1:26:41been a rather traumatic month for me. Some of you
- 1:26:45were right. I shouldn't have gone back trying to relive
- 1:26:47the mysteries of my childhood, but I couldn't resist. It's
- 1:26:51been a month since my last post, and a lot
- 1:26:53has happened. Let's recap where I'm at right now with
- 1:26:55regards to the whole Mister Bear incident. Return to be
- 1:26:59at hotmailed is no longer in use. I tried to
- 1:27:01apply to the email, but I got no reply. I
- 1:27:04tried again a while back, still no response. I've actually
- 1:27:07moved up to Ottawa, capital of Canada for those who
- 1:27:10don't know, for universities, so I haven't been back to
- 1:27:12Caladon or back home in the Peel region for a while.
- 1:27:16Add my reasons for leaving. As you could guess why,
- 1:27:19I've had to make a new email account because people
- 1:27:22keep pranking mailing me pretending to be mister Behar. Thanks
- 1:27:25a lot, guys, not that's the most two thousand.
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: And nine not late epic.
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: Troll face. Yeah, I just did that. Why have I
- 1:27:41ventured back to this blog? Mitchell Wilson, Remember my dad's
- 1:27:45ex cop friend gave me a phone call on October
- 1:27:47twenty third about a tape that was found in a
- 1:27:50branch of the Brampton Public Library. Brampton is my hometown,
- 1:27:55in case you haven't picked up on that. He claims
- 1:27:58he isn't allowed to discuss the contents of the tape
- 1:28:00with me. It's still in evidence, but he asked me
- 1:28:02to come check it out when I return home. That
- 1:28:06tape got the gears grinding again, because we all know
- 1:28:09what was on the last tapes I saw. I can
- 1:28:11only imagine what can be on it. I'm guessing it
- 1:28:14must have something to do with Kalad on Local twenty one.
- 1:28:18I guess. I just wanted to say I am continuing
- 1:28:20this blog and thank you for everyone who still follows it.
- 1:28:24I don't know when my next entry will be. But
- 1:28:27when I see that tape, all write what I find.
- 1:28:29I don't know what you expect, but the idea of
- 1:28:31seeing another tape has got to be interested in this
- 1:28:33whole mystery all over again, Elliott. So we now move
- 1:28:37on to the last tape. I will mention something that
- 1:28:40was really good that I didn't call out when it happened.
- 1:28:44Is that part where he's at the mister Bear house
- 1:28:47and the seller's right there, and he feels like really
- 1:28:50weird all of a sudden and walks away from it.
- 1:28:53Like the logical part of his brain knows that mister
- 1:28:59Bear's not there anymore, right, that it's not going to
- 1:29:02hurt him, But it makes so much sense to get
- 1:29:06out of there immediately, right, Like there's the cellar door.
- 1:29:10You know, horrible things happened there, and you saw what
- 1:29:13was on the other side of that door from that camera,
- 1:29:15and it's haunted you all these years, and the padlock's
- 1:29:18the only thing between you and it. The human inclination
- 1:29:21would be to run right to get out of there.
- 1:29:24Like I said, it's not logical, but it makes sense
- 1:29:26that he would leave rather than investigating. I really like
- 1:29:29that detail.
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: I mean, you're right, You're definitely right. He as crazy?
- 1:29:33Is that? Whenever I read that, I thought that he
- 1:29:35left because the inclination was he was like, I want
- 1:29:37to break in. I don't know why I thought that
- 1:29:39until now, but I think that I think that hearing
- 1:29:41you say that, I think he might be. I think
- 1:29:43that makes way more sense of just that dreadful little feeling,
- 1:29:47like almost like that pit in your gut.
- 1:29:48Speaker 3: Yeah, like his body's just like get out, get out,
- 1:29:51get out, you know.
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: Like definitely.
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I think a lot of the tear works well,
- 1:29:57And I feel like Elliott is being realistically portrayed as
- 1:30:00someone who had that kind of trauma and he's now
- 1:30:03trying to process it and now he's like having to
- 1:30:06interact with it, and like the way that he interacts
- 1:30:09with it, I think it makes a lot of sense
- 1:30:10as a character.
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree.
- 1:30:14Speaker 3: So big update here. Update January twenty first, twenty eleven,
- 1:30:18so two months after the last one. The end of
- 1:30:21twenty ten into the new year was dreadfully long for me.
- 1:30:25University has been giving me the usual sleepless nights, especially
- 1:30:28since I transferred to Ottawa, which is the place to
- 1:30:30party sarcasm. But now I am back home with my
- 1:30:33dad in Brampton Town I grew up in. I got
- 1:30:37home on the eighteenth of December and have been visiting
- 1:30:39with friends and family, or at least that's what I
- 1:30:42would rather have done. Now the festive holiday cheer that
- 1:30:45I usually have at this time of the month is absent.
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: And I just want to say two really quick. One
- 1:30:50thing that I liked from that last post. Sorry about
- 1:30:52the late thought here, but one thing I liked about
- 1:30:56it was he's like, oh, people keep making these emails
- 1:30:58and trying to scare me.
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: Haha.
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: I really like. I like that because to me, like
- 1:31:03looking back at it, I'm like, what if it's just
- 1:31:05a guy making different emails? You so so creepy.
- 1:31:10Speaker 3: See it fits because it's realistic that people would be
- 1:31:13making other emails and messaging him after here the idea.
- 1:31:16But it's also, like you said, a chance that it's
- 1:31:19him just making burner emails. So yeah, again it works
- 1:31:22in that of like, is this just like people's response
- 1:31:26to it or is this another mister Bhaer thing. Is
- 1:31:28there really a difference if it leads to the same
- 1:31:31dread and people who live with it, like the thing
- 1:31:33in the storm drain? Does it make a difference if
- 1:31:35kids won't go play on the playground either way? You know?
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: And also the idea too, that the story has picked
- 1:31:41up by this time. I'm assuming that the story online
- 1:31:44is doing very well and it's probably well known within
- 1:31:46the circles of the horror stories, right, But it could
- 1:31:49be the idea too that like it's gotten enough traction
- 1:31:52to where it's left, it's like made its way back
- 1:31:55to the guy and he's able to like know that
- 1:31:57the guy's talking and knowing that this kid is talking
- 1:32:00about this again. Yeah, and once to contact just like
- 1:32:03that idea. It's just kind of creepy and fun.
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, this is again very well done. To answer
- 1:32:11the hundreds of emails and comments I got, Yes, I
- 1:32:14did see the tapes that my dad's friend, Mitchell Wilson
- 1:32:16promised to show me. These tapes, however, act as a curse.
- 1:32:19I want to know more, yet I want to forget everything.
- 1:32:23I couldn't help it. I needed to see those tapes
- 1:32:26not only for myself, but for all of you guys
- 1:32:28who are just as intrigued as I am by that
- 1:32:30ominous man in a bear suit for my past. However,
- 1:32:34after viewing those tapes, I feel that pit of dread
- 1:32:37deep inside me once again, that feeling where I know
- 1:32:41that all those kids, and those videos are dead, that
- 1:32:44I could have been one of those kids, and that
- 1:32:47humanity's a dark, dark place. If you haven't skipped this
- 1:32:51paragraph for the juici or details below, thank you for
- 1:32:55listening to my Ramblans. January the first, I called Mitchell
- 1:32:59Wilson and asked if there was a time where I
- 1:33:01could come by and view the tapes. Things were pretty
- 1:33:05slow at the station because of a snowstorm, so he
- 1:33:07said I could come down anytime that day. The tapes
- 1:33:11were located at a branch not too far from me,
- 1:33:13so I braved the slushy roads and terrible Bramton drivers
- 1:33:17and made my way to the Pure Regional Police Station
- 1:33:19located at the bramley A City Center. I met Wilson
- 1:33:24at the front desk, where he then led me up
- 1:33:26to the second floor into a small office, instructed me
- 1:33:29to have a seat and wait while he went and
- 1:33:31got the tapes. For leaving the office, he turned to
- 1:33:34me and said.
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: I know you're curious, but are you sure you want
- 1:33:39to do this?
- 1:33:40Speaker 3: Of course I did, or at least thought so. Besides,
- 1:33:44Wilson's friend had pulled a lot of strings to get
- 1:33:46me in there, and I didn't want to waste the opportunity.
- 1:33:50This particular station had two tapes on hand. I was
- 1:33:54only able to watch a few minutes of footage, however,
- 1:33:57because the second tape was apparently two days should be
- 1:34:00played on a VCR. Mister Bear Seller Episode thirty. Mister
- 1:34:06Bear never ceases to disturb me, especially after what almost
- 1:34:09happened when I was younger. This episode took place outside
- 1:34:12in a forest at dusk, making it slightly hard to see,
- 1:34:15especially considering the quality of the film trademark of anything
- 1:34:18from Cold and Local twenty one. The episode started with
- 1:34:21the camera being held in the pause of mister Bear
- 1:34:25aiming at at himself that bear mask it looked more
- 1:34:29sinister in the shadows of the trees. The unmistakable muffled
- 1:34:33voice spoke.
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: Up, Hello, children, Today, I will be doing a wonderful
- 1:34:38thing for my friends. I will be delivering them to
- 1:34:41a far away land. Well, they will surely be happy.
- 1:34:45Speaker 3: Mister Bear returned the camera around to show an ATV
- 1:34:48with an attached trailer. But what stood out the most
- 1:34:52was that the trailer contained seven motionless children lying side
- 1:34:55by side.
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: This here is the first load.
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: The more will be there on their way soon.
- 1:35:02Speaker 3: Mister Bhaer turned around and pointed the camera at a
- 1:35:04large burlapped tarp spread on the ground. He picked the
- 1:35:07tarp up, revealing a large hole that must have been
- 1:35:09at least twelve feet deep and maybe about fifteen feet wide.
- 1:35:13The rest of the episode consisted of mister Bear taking
- 1:35:16each kid and dropping them into the hole. I asked
- 1:35:20Wilson if they were dead, which he shook his head
- 1:35:22and replied not yet. Soon all the kids were in
- 1:35:27the pit. Some were in awkward positions due to being
- 1:35:29tossed in, but they remained unconscious.
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: The vitamin C will surely help these children on the
- 1:35:35great journey that awaits them.
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: Mister Bhaer mentioned as he panned the camera towards multiple
- 1:35:40bottles of gasoline beside a bush. The camera zoomed into
- 1:35:45the bottles as mister Bear hummed. Before the episode ended,
- 1:35:49Wilson revealed to me that these were seven of the
- 1:35:52sixteen victims found burn to a crisp gasoline is what
- 1:35:56the man playing mister Bear used to light them on fire.
- 1:36:00A pit full of burning children. Who the hell would
- 1:36:03do that? The feeling of dread found me once again
- 1:36:07when I realized that I could have been one of
- 1:36:09those kids. Wilson then explained to me that he had
- 1:36:14previously lied. The other tape confiscating by the Bramley of
- 1:36:18Police Branch did indeed work and contained the filming of
- 1:36:21the actual burning. However, he felt that I wouldn't be
- 1:36:25able to handle the disturbing and graphic nature of the episode.
- 1:36:30And you know what, maybe I can't. I don't even
- 1:36:33want to see it. I'm satisfied for now, but I
- 1:36:36just need some time to get myself together. The thing
- 1:36:40is the many ran keld on Local twenty one, still
- 1:36:43out there. More to come soon, Elliott. So how are
- 1:36:48you feeling right now?
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: Very very disturbing? You know what my mind Emilia went to,
- 1:36:56which is interesting. This concluded in twenty eleven. It started
- 1:36:59in two thousand and nine with some of the footage
- 1:37:01and stuff. The last part there feels so eerily similar
- 1:37:06to the movie Sinister, And how all of those and
- 1:37:10how of all those little recorded vignettes. It almost feels
- 1:37:14like a little too similar for them not to have
- 1:37:17been inspired by this in a way.
- 1:37:20Speaker 3: Right when did Sinister come out?
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: Sinsor came on twenty twelve.
- 1:37:26Speaker 3: Dude, Okay, so, oh are you saying Sinister took from
- 1:37:32this story.
- 1:37:34Speaker 2: I'm not saying they stole anything. I'm just saying, like,
- 1:37:36it feels so odd that if this thing was exactly
- 1:37:39inspired in that way, but even just like the way
- 1:37:41of like the shitty camera the people lined up. I mean,
- 1:37:44like that movie is very infamous for those scenes, and
- 1:37:47this is like if at the time, even now, it's
- 1:37:50disturbing and stuff. Granted it's not as graphic as like
- 1:37:52probably a lot of the stories would be nowadays, but still,
- 1:37:55I mean, it just it feels like I'm like, that's
- 1:37:57what my mind went to immediately, was that movie those
- 1:38:00little vignettes.
- 1:38:01Speaker 3: Maybe there could have there could there could have been
- 1:38:03some inspiration taken. Like I said, the story wasn't super
- 1:38:06popular till like twenty fourteen, once like it started making
- 1:38:09omes on YouTube. I mean there it still had a community,
- 1:38:12but it wasn't like, you know, as big as you
- 1:38:15know until later.
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: Also the aspect too of like the Poughkeepsie tapes also
- 1:38:20being something of an inspiration to this, as well as
- 1:38:24like finding tape tapes of a serial killer and like
- 1:38:27it's just the raw footage from a serial killer's catalog
- 1:38:31of stuff. It's just the way that the stuff is presented,
- 1:38:33even like the monster himself, the bear kind of thing
- 1:38:36and wearing this mask, and my mind is just heading
- 1:38:39toward the sinister place. But it's a it's very revealing,
- 1:38:43it's very it's very revealing. I like that we're getting
- 1:38:45more dialogue from mister Bear as well. Definitely still in
- 1:38:48a manic kind of episode and stuff, still wondering what
- 1:38:51the vitamin C. Wondering what like the importance of vitamin C.
- 1:38:57If it's just him being fucking insane, or if the
- 1:39:00or some kind of gonna be some kind of revealed there.
- 1:39:03Speaker 3: I think he's talking about just like, oh, the vitamin
- 1:39:06C will help them. It's because he knocked them out
- 1:39:08with it. I think that's what he means by that,
- 1:39:12because all the kids are all the kids are unconscious
- 1:39:14on the trailer right right.
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: Did you do you think the tone in which I
- 1:39:18was reading it or do you think that like the
- 1:39:20way that he was saying like the quotes of mister Bear,
- 1:39:23do you think he was cheerful or do you think
- 1:39:28because even him saying like the vitamin C will help them,
- 1:39:31is he like slightly disturbed by what he's doing, Like
- 1:39:33what do you think because he's kind of catching himself
- 1:39:35on some of his words too.
- 1:39:36Speaker 3: I don't know. I think maybe he's just so far gone.
- 1:39:39I don't even know if he could be disturbed at
- 1:39:41this point with what he's doing. I think it's more
- 1:39:43so just he's it's like he's describing it to kids.
- 1:39:47He's trying to keep it whimsical, right, that's sure.
- 1:39:50Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I mean it's definitely a deranged man. And
- 1:39:54I imagine that he's still keeping this kind of childish,
- 1:39:56like like positive voice kind of thing, you know what
- 1:39:59I mean, like just totally delusional.
- 1:40:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so. I don't know. I don't I
- 1:40:05don't know if he is disturbed by what he's doing.
- 1:40:10Speaker 2: The thing here that's next to says Henry, What does
- 1:40:12that mean? I n ri I?
- 1:40:17Speaker 3: Well, the update doesn't have a date. I don't think so,
- 1:40:21I n ri. I was is what was written on
- 1:40:25Jesus's crossed when he was crucified. So maybe that's what it.
- 1:40:31Maybe that's what's referencing. I don't know. Is there another
- 1:40:35name for it that means like no date given, like
- 1:40:38you know, kind of like saying in a.
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean maybe, I mean just googling it, it
- 1:40:43just says, uh translates to Jesus Nazarene, King of the Jews.
- 1:40:47It's just what I see.
- 1:40:49Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what was put on Christ.
- 1:40:51Speaker 2: Which also if he's yeah, which is if this is
- 1:40:54just giving more validity to mister like this quote here,
- 1:40:58which it just says, I n R I. There's no
- 1:41:00date or time on this. By the way, guys, we're
- 1:41:02just this is what the entry says. Once upon a
- 1:41:07time there lived a boy named Elliott. Elliott was a
- 1:41:11clever boy who loved playing with his friends. One day,
- 1:41:14he watched a lovely television show about a bear and
- 1:41:17his children friends. The children loved helping each other, as
- 1:41:20good children should, but they also loved the bear. The
- 1:41:25bear loved the children since the children were so good
- 1:41:27at helping him and the fallen angel. The children and
- 1:41:30the bear wanted to play together forever with the help
- 1:41:33of their angel friend, but the fallen angel needed even
- 1:41:36more help, so the children had to give up the
- 1:41:38ultimate sacrifice. Because that's what friends do, Elliott. They help
- 1:41:43each other. Help us.
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: Eliot, burn with us, Elliot. I want you, Elliott, he
- 1:41:49wants you, Elliott, come back to my cellar.
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: Pretty pleased with sugar and icing on top, mister b
- 1:41:58And it ends with ni Ari again, which I'm guessing.
- 1:42:02I'm wondering if the religious undertone there, since he's a
- 1:42:05Satanist and fallen angels obviously Lucifer and stuff like that.
- 1:42:08But I'm wondering if I n RI is just kind
- 1:42:12of a representation of the crucifixion or like the sacrifice.
- 1:42:15Speaker 3: That actually that now that you just said that, that's
- 1:42:19probably what it is, because Christ death on the cross
- 1:42:22is like the ultimate sacrifice for people. So maybe the
- 1:42:25Satanist used in it here is implying that the death
- 1:42:27of the children is the ultimate sacrifice for Satan, for
- 1:42:30the fallen angel. That probably something dropped.
- 1:42:33Speaker 2: In my room. Holy shit, what.
- 1:42:35Speaker 3: You say, God, say something dropped in the room, dude.
- 1:42:39Speaker 2: A box dropped off my shelf randomly in my room?
- 1:42:41Are you kidding? Yes, Bye, fucking Elgatto, a fucking Elgado
- 1:42:47stream box box dropped from the second. I don't know
- 1:42:50how this is, Honestly, that's fucking me up. I don't
- 1:42:53know how I felt. I will scared the funk out
- 1:42:56of me.
- 1:42:56Speaker 3: I will say, you saying I n RI is the
- 1:42:59one explicitly like religious symbol that we've mentioned so far,
- 1:43:04and when we mentioned it, the box falls off your shelf.
- 1:43:06So I wanted you to keep that in mind. Hunter.
- 1:43:10Speaker 2: That actually that actually I'm not even joking. I'm like that, Actually,
- 1:43:14fucking that scared the ship on me. Okay, holy shit, good,
- 1:43:19I'm glad my door is closed door.
- 1:43:22Speaker 3: My wife my wife open.
- 1:43:24Speaker 2: Yeah, but at least she's just your wife.
- 1:43:26Speaker 4: Dude?
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: Do I have a goddamn demon in my room right now?
- 1:43:28Speaker 3: I'm freaking out?
- 1:43:32Speaker 2: Well, I don't. I don't.
- 1:43:33Speaker 3: I got I got this, and I got uh and
- 1:43:38I got this. So I'm gonna be all right regardless.
- 1:43:41Speaker 2: Of Dude, you're saying this and this, and I have
- 1:43:43no idea what you're referring to is making it even worse. Dude,
- 1:43:46you're not sharing what I could be using to help myself.
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: I got this.
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: D Now, I'm I'm at that feeling where it's like
- 1:43:52I'm really creeped out. I'm like hearing like little things.
- 1:43:55I don't like this. I wonder, dude, I wonder if
- 1:43:58you could hear that was a pretty loud drop. I'm
- 1:44:00wondering in my recording if you could hear that that
- 1:44:01was fucked up. Wow, Wow, shut up, man, shut up, man,
- 1:44:09don't go that's my nightmare, sound all right. It goes
- 1:44:18into the next it goes into the next entry here,
- 1:44:20which is actually kind of crazy because the last entry
- 1:44:22that actually had a date was January of twenty eleven,
- 1:44:25and now it says update April fifth, twenty eleven, so
- 1:44:28it's been some time.
- 1:44:29Speaker 3: A few months. Yeah, I will say, I will say,
- 1:44:32if that is what the I n R I means,
- 1:44:33that's pretty it's pretty sick that mister Bear is like
- 1:44:37fully committed to the the symbols of their religiousness. Because
- 1:44:42even if the story's not supernatural, which I don't think
- 1:44:45it is at this point, even if it's not supernatural,
- 1:44:47it's this guy whatever monster, mister Bear is so convinced
- 1:44:52that it's real that he's willing to kill over it.
- 1:44:54That's terrified. I just hate that.
- 1:44:56Speaker 2: I said, iron Ri I, and the thing had to
- 1:44:58drop right when I said.
- 1:44:59Speaker 3: It's funny. You keep saying it too, you keep provoking.
- 1:45:02Speaker 2: It because I don't. It's I'm pretty sure. I think
- 1:45:06everybody who's working the studio today has left to I
- 1:45:08am very upset. I'm very I'm very upset. I'm not
- 1:45:12gonna lie. I'm actually very skittish right now. I'm very
- 1:45:15I'm very fucking skittish, and I don't like that.
- 1:45:17Speaker 3: I'm gonna send you a list of like, uh, like
- 1:45:20phrases from the Bible you're definitely not supposed to say.
- 1:45:23Speaker 2: And I'm dude, don't do that said that to me.
- 1:45:25Send me some good things to say. I want some
- 1:45:27good some good omens.
- 1:45:28Speaker 3: We just hear Hunter scream and like that's the last
- 1:45:31creep Cast episode.
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: Who yeah, all right, yeah, all right, here we go.
- 1:45:38Speaker 3: Update April fifth, eleven. I wanted to update more. I
- 1:45:43truly did. However, certain circumstances had turned me off to
- 1:45:48the whole Caladan Local twenty one thing. I've since then
- 1:45:51had hundreds of emails about my blog and was even
- 1:45:54in contact with the magazine about my story. But now's
- 1:45:57the time to come clean to everyone. Where have I
- 1:46:01been for an entire year? Story of Pandora's Box is true?
- 1:46:04And I opened it. I opened it, and when I
- 1:46:07watched the second tape in the possession of the Brammela
- 1:46:10Police branch. The other subject I'd like to address is
- 1:46:13the number wait hold on. I watched it the second
- 1:46:17I hold up, I watched I opened it when I
- 1:46:21watched the second tape in the possession of the bramble
- 1:46:25of police branch. So he watched the one of the fire.
- 1:46:28Is that what he's saying.
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: I think he has not told us what the subject is.
- 1:46:33I think he said, this is the second tape of
- 1:46:35there's the first one of them going in the pit,
- 1:46:36and he said, I don't I don't need to have
- 1:46:38watched the second one. I'm fine, but I think he
- 1:46:40ended up watching it anyways.
- 1:46:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I opened it when I watched the second tape. Yeah, okay,
- 1:46:43I think you're right there. The other subject I like
- 1:46:46to address is the number of joke slash fake emails
- 1:46:48I've been getting from people claiming to be mister Bhaer.
- 1:46:51Let's start with the second tape, as that is what
- 1:46:53traumatized me into stopping my search temporarily. Also, I'm doubling
- 1:46:58down on the critique I had earlier. If you cut
- 1:47:00out Polo's part, I think the story's perfectly paced because
- 1:47:02we're coming up on the ending and now to tell
- 1:47:04us about that stuff like what was exactly happening in
- 1:47:08the woods works better. Whereas Polo kind of like gave
- 1:47:11a lackadaisical thing the kids being out in the woods.
- 1:47:13I know they were just around a campfire. Then it
- 1:47:16wasn't the kids being burnt, I don't think.
- 1:47:18Speaker 2: But I still, yeah, it was still look guy, yeah, but.
- 1:47:24Speaker 3: In my brain, I'm taking that out and this this
- 1:47:27is excellent, right.
- 1:47:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:47:31Speaker 3: After a few weeks of playing silent, I decided to
- 1:47:33ask Mitchell Wilson if I could view that infamous second
- 1:47:36tape we had talked about. I don't know why. I
- 1:47:39just felt that viewing the tape would give me some closure.
- 1:47:42Wilson was obviously reluctant to show me, but I was persistent.
- 1:47:46He gave me an offer if I was still interested
- 1:47:49by the time I turned twenty, he would show me
- 1:47:51the tape. Not being able to do much else, I
- 1:47:54just played the waiting game. By the time i twentieth
- 1:47:56birthday rolled around, I was definitely still interested in viewing
- 1:47:59the tape. Gave Wilson a call, during which he admitted
- 1:48:02that he had hoped that I would forget about asking
- 1:48:05him again. I was not taking over for an answer.
- 1:48:08Speaker 1: You really don't need to see it, he.
- 1:48:10Speaker 3: Kept telling me. But I didn't need to see it.
- 1:48:13I had to at this point. Sure enough, he invited
- 1:48:16me to the Brandlea branch one Monday afternoon. Having watched
- 1:48:19every saw film and a video of animal slaughterhouses in
- 1:48:22my ethics class, I was sure I would be able
- 1:48:25to handle whatever the tape could throw at me. How
- 1:48:27naive I was, I will say, like, I know that
- 1:48:32I am want to talk, Like, if I hear there's
- 1:48:35a graphic video going around online, I want to see it, right,
- 1:48:38just that you know the the here's the human part
- 1:48:42of me. I guess I don't know. I don't think
- 1:48:46there's ever a scenario I would want to see videos
- 1:48:51of children being burned, I would hope. But I do
- 1:48:55understand that he has a personal connection to this and
- 1:49:00almost has a survivor's guilt about the people who were killed.
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: Right, So I mean, yeah, man, if this is the
- 1:49:06last known tape of it, it would haunt you forever
- 1:49:09if you didn't know. Yeah, Like, honestly it would.
- 1:49:12Speaker 3: I think so, So it makes sense, I guess you know,
- 1:49:17mister bear Sellar episode thirty one, When Wilson went to
- 1:49:21collect the tape from evidence, the officer in charge of
- 1:49:23the evidence room shook his head at me, his face,
- 1:49:25saying what are you doing. Wilson explained that this tape
- 1:49:30includes the last known episode of Mister Bear Cellar. I
- 1:49:33rightfully assumed that I would be seeing the fate of
- 1:49:35the children and began to feel a sense of tread.
- 1:49:39The episode opened inside a forest, the usual one from
- 1:49:42the previous episodes. This fact took me a while to
- 1:49:46realize because it was night. The trees and leaves just
- 1:49:49looked like shapes dancing around in the darkness. A faint
- 1:49:52glow of light was present on the right side of
- 1:49:54the screen. There wasn't any apparent audio. It appeared to
- 1:49:58be a windy night, yet the trees weren't making any noise. Slowly,
- 1:50:03the camera began to pan towards the glow, revealing smoke
- 1:50:06rising from a hole with the tips of flames peeking
- 1:50:08over the top. Wilson paused at this.
- 1:50:11Speaker 2: Point, are you sure you want to see this? Dude? Wilson,
- 1:50:16stop fucking asking that and just show it already. How
- 1:50:18many times has Wilson said, are you sure you want
- 1:50:20to see this?
- 1:50:21Speaker 3: What I mean, you know, his friend's son a video
- 1:50:23of children burning?
- 1:50:26Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, but it's like the only thing Wilson has
- 1:50:28literally said in quotations is are you sure you want
- 1:50:31to see this?
- 1:50:32Speaker 3: That's fair, that's fair. At least change up the speech pattern.
- 1:50:35Speaker 2: Yeah, just change I mean, yeah, it's just calm, it's
- 1:50:37just comical.
- 1:50:40Speaker 3: I insisted on it, even though a voice in my
- 1:50:42head was telling me not to. The video continued. The
- 1:50:46cameraman moved towards the hole, joined a pit of fire.
- 1:50:49This was the hole that I had seen in the
- 1:50:51previous episode, only this time it was filled with shapes.
- 1:50:56I could see shapes moving around, flailing, some motionless. I
- 1:51:04knew perfectly well what they were. The camera began to
- 1:51:08adjust to the light and burning flesh, red black, a
- 1:51:17blur of surreal movements and colors. I wish I could
- 1:51:21forget what I saw, but you can't forget a scene
- 1:51:24like this. This was not a horror movie. This was reality.
- 1:51:29Human beings were being killed in a horrifying way, a
- 1:51:32fate that I could have potentially met. The video suddenly
- 1:51:38cut to dawn. The camera now positioned farther away from
- 1:51:41the hole. The fire was out, however, there was still
- 1:51:46smoke rising up. A figure was up ahead. I recognized
- 1:51:50it right away. The mister bear suit was laid out
- 1:51:53on the ground empty. It looked just as a nerving
- 1:51:58The suit was laid out in the shape of a cross.
- 1:52:01Cameraman did a lap around the suit, treating it like
- 1:52:05a treasured artifact. Placed at the head of the suit
- 1:52:08was a sign in bold letters, I in our eye
- 1:52:13was printed. Oh. The cameraman moved back to the end
- 1:52:21of the suit, zooming into the bear's face. The episode
- 1:52:24finally ended. Oh man, huh ah.
- 1:52:30Speaker 2: That creepy.
- 1:52:31Speaker 3: That gives me the chills. Not only killing the kids,
- 1:52:34I feel like it's a feeling go ahead, go ahead.
- 1:52:39Speaker 2: It's a feeling where it feels like there's like spiders
- 1:52:41crawling on you or something, know what I mean. That's
- 1:52:43what I feel like.
- 1:52:43Speaker 3: I'm like, I feel like, after killing those kids, he
- 1:52:48lays out the suit in a crucifix.
- 1:52:53Speaker 2: Also kind of feels like the death of that character. Yeah.
- 1:52:56Speaker 3: Yeah, it's almost like with what he's done, he has
- 1:53:00now crossed over, right, he has done, He's fulfilled his purpose.
- 1:53:04He's now the savior of his story.
- 1:53:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what it feels like. It feels like this idea,
- 1:53:10like this this kind of deity that he has is
- 1:53:15officially completed like the sacrifice.
- 1:53:18Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, man, huh. I was speechless. It was
- 1:53:25like a dream. You can. You can find a lot
- 1:53:28of terrible things on the internet, but I had never
- 1:53:30seen anything like this. Wilson ast if I was okay,
- 1:53:33and I replied with a shaky yes. I assured him
- 1:53:36as we left that I was fine in that the
- 1:53:38video gave me some closure over the whole incident. He
- 1:53:41didn't seem too confident in me, but he left it
- 1:53:44at that. He was right. Though I had nightmares for weeks,
- 1:53:49I gave up. I didn't care about the whole thing anymore.
- 1:53:52A sick man burned a bunch of kids alive, tracking
- 1:53:54them with a fake kids TV channel. I could have
- 1:53:57been one of his victims, and I'm still here. I
- 1:54:01suppose I should be grateful, but I feel guilty. Am
- 1:54:05I still here only by pure luck? Ten months later,
- 1:54:08I'm back, but now I need to address something else.
- 1:54:11My email has been flooded with messages, so people ask
- 1:54:15for more details. Some ask if I can upload the tapes,
- 1:54:18and some people email me claiming to be mister Bear. First,
- 1:54:22I cannot get the tapes uploaded, as they're a in
- 1:54:24police possession is evidence, and B I have no idea
- 1:54:27how to transfer vhs onto a computer. As for people
- 1:54:31pretending to be mister Bear, You're not fooling me. You
- 1:54:34have dozens of people pretending to be the same person.
- 1:54:37It doesn't work. I haven't seen a fake calaed on
- 1:54:40Local twenty one YouTube channel, which is cute but still
- 1:54:43not real. Even more annoying is the fact that someone
- 1:54:45hacked my account just to put up some demented poem
- 1:54:48about me on this blog. I'll leave it in the
- 1:54:52entry above this one, just to show you guys. I've
- 1:54:55contacted my webmaster about the entry and was told that
- 1:54:59it was posted on Halloween. Oh spooky attached to the
- 1:55:04email paint with b at aol dot com, which I
- 1:55:10assume is another joke email. I'm over episode thirty one now.
- 1:55:15The images of what I saw will stick with me
- 1:55:17for a while, but I want to do one last hurrah.
- 1:55:22I will get into contact with Mitchell Wilson again and
- 1:55:24hopefully gets set up with the tapes in the possession
- 1:55:27of the other Peel police branches. Try to update you
- 1:55:30guys as soon as I can. I'm sure this won't
- 1:55:32take so long. Again, thank you to everyone who still
- 1:55:35reads this.
- 1:55:36Speaker 2: Elliott Wow. I mean, you know, it's interesting because you
- 1:55:44can see so many influences and what other people have
- 1:55:47done here, especially even like my mind kind of goes
- 1:55:49like Penpal in a way of an obsessive person, you know,
- 1:55:54even with the end of Penpal, where it's the guy
- 1:55:57who was obsessed with this person so much that he
- 1:55:59dressed his friend up, you know. And I mean like
- 1:56:04it's like this this cult of obsession thing, the idea too,
- 1:56:07of sacrificing and that kind of thing. I mean, reading
- 1:56:12this back in the day must have been extremely graphic.
- 1:56:14I mean it was disturbing now, but I feel like
- 1:56:16now people have to push the stakes because of stories
- 1:56:19like this, you know, like this. I wonder how crazy
- 1:56:22this must have felt reading it back in twenty eleven.
- 1:56:25Speaker 3: The description of the bodies burning so intense, some still,
- 1:56:30some moving, some slowly.
- 1:56:33Speaker 2: You know, like mm hmmm, ah.
- 1:56:35Speaker 3: Man, harrowing stuff. And then yeah, the following of the
- 1:56:40mister Bear costume and the shape of a crucifix, and
- 1:56:44then he's just supposedly maybe he's out there, maybe not.
- 1:56:48Maybe it is people hacking his email, maybe it is
- 1:56:50just legends of the thing that lives in the storm drain.
- 1:56:53Maybe it's still him, maybe it's the ghost of him,
- 1:56:55Maybe it's ah. Man, it's it's such a perfect place
- 1:56:59of like legends you as a kid, and you don't
- 1:57:01know if it's real or not. It's such a perfect
- 1:57:04adaptation of you still in the course of the story
- 1:57:07don't know what's real or not. You don't know what
- 1:57:09to do.
- 1:57:09Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no finality to anything. Yeah, so much.
- 1:57:13Speaker 3: That's it. That's the perfect way of phrasing it. Yeah,
- 1:57:15there's no closure. No part of this feels like and
- 1:57:19that's done. It's just like open doors and none of
- 1:57:22them shine.
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: Yeah. The eerie nature of it being so open to
- 1:57:26is that I think for me and probably viewers listening,
- 1:57:29is that the idea that any one of those joke
- 1:57:31emails are definitely probably joke emails, but it's just that
- 1:57:34it's just all it takes is for one to be
- 1:57:36legitimate to just completely unravel and make this thing even
- 1:57:40more fucking crazy, you know. And the idea too that
- 1:57:43like he does know that that mister Bear does know Elliott,
- 1:57:46I mean he received that letter. Who knows I mean,
- 1:57:48like mister Bear, the person who is still not you know,
- 1:57:52no one's contacted him or no one knows where he's
- 1:57:54at or who he is. Could be obsessed. I mean,
- 1:57:56this is an extremely deranged man, you know.
- 1:58:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I will say I think the hack quote unquote
- 1:58:04that happened that showed it was the poem about him
- 1:58:08that mister Bear supposed to wrote. I do think that's
- 1:58:10real because of the four letter edition, right, because.
- 1:58:14Speaker 2: It how else would they know How else would they
- 1:58:17know exactly?
- 1:58:17Speaker 3: How would they know what was about to show up
- 1:58:19at the next take?
- 1:58:20Speaker 2: So, and I think that's what that letter was doing.
- 1:58:23I think that's what that submission was doing.
- 1:58:26Speaker 3: That would mean that he probably is still out there online.
- 1:58:29Speaker 2: Or not only is he still out there, but he
- 1:58:32knows Elliott like he knows what's going on in stuff.
- 1:58:35Speaker 3: Still he misses him, he wants him to join him, right,
- 1:58:38so maybe an update never happening after that implies that
- 1:58:41mister Bear got him, yeah, made him join the angel.
- 1:58:44Speaker 2: Huh you never you never know. I mean ending it
- 1:58:47in this way is frustrating in the sense of like,
- 1:58:51I just want to know closure of some kind, even
- 1:58:54if it's him saying like I'm done with this, I'm
- 1:58:57you know, I'm putting this behind me, blah blah blah.
- 1:58:59But even that, even this last episode, he's like, no,
- 1:59:02I'm gonna go look for more and I'm gonna see
- 1:59:04what happens. But we never get that kind of It's
- 1:59:07like a you know, in a way, Ted the Caver
- 1:59:12kind of ends in a similar way, except Ted the
- 1:59:14Caver gives you that ultimatum of like, you know, I'll
- 1:59:17update you when I'm back, but it never comes back,
- 1:59:20you know what I mean, it's that beautiful ending. This
- 1:59:23one is just we don't even who knows, you know.
- 1:59:26I mean, as we all have known this entire time,
- 1:59:28Elliott has been teased, like or not teasing us, but
- 1:59:31he's been basically filling us in on like, hey, sorry,
- 1:59:34i've lost interest. My life kind of took a crazy thing.
- 1:59:36I don't know if a half time. So he's done this,
- 1:59:38so who knows. I mean, he could have also just
- 1:59:40been like, ah, I just don't want to do it anymore,
- 1:59:42I don't want to update it. I'm tired of all
- 1:59:43the emails. So there's so many things, there's no finality
- 1:59:47to any of it, and it makes it really really entertaining.
- 1:59:50And I can see how much too with did did
- 1:59:53cambell Cove come after this or before this?
- 1:59:56Speaker 3: Let me look real quick. So the story got like
- 1:59:58I said, it started in too and nine. Final update
- 2:00:01was twenty eleven. It blew up. I was wrong in
- 2:00:05saying that it had its first wave in twenty fourteen
- 2:00:08with YouTube channels. Actually got its first wave when someone
- 2:00:11posted it to four chance x board on September ninth
- 2:00:15of twenty twelve. And when that happened, that's when people
- 2:00:19started to notice, started to go to the original blog site.
- 2:00:21Whatever I say, so twenty twelve was when it got popular.
- 2:00:26It was published in two thousand and nine on his
- 2:00:30website on Chris Drob's personal website.
- 2:00:34Speaker 2: Regardless if which everyone came first, I think that like
- 2:00:39either one could have been inspired by each other. But
- 2:00:41one thing I really appreciate about this is that it
- 2:00:43starts off and it kind of has some weird, creepy vignettes.
- 2:00:46But I'm I'm glad that we do get to kind
- 2:00:49of go in more of a narrative device of stepping
- 2:00:52away from like each post just being new entries, which
- 2:00:56you know, there are a lot of entries of the
- 2:00:58tapes and stuff like that, but we get so much
- 2:01:00more out of just being able to get the narrator's
- 2:01:05perspective on things and being able to really feel enticed
- 2:01:08with this world. Like, I mean, one thing that I
- 2:01:10really appreciate about, like some of the stuff that came
- 2:01:12after these were like really early creepypastas is people really
- 2:01:15taking time and like really getting into the characters or
- 2:01:19especially a protagonist and stuff, not making it feel like
- 2:01:22it's just kind of a random blog post, but really
- 2:01:24like pushing the idea that like these blog posts can
- 2:01:27just I mean, it can be a huge exposition dump
- 2:01:30for people, you know what I mean. Like my favorite
- 2:01:33part of this whole thing was definitely running into the
- 2:01:35Beavis and butt Head looking kids and having that little
- 2:01:38urban legend h kind of pop up, Like I really
- 2:01:41enjoyed that, and I wish that there was just more
- 2:01:46to that, which granted, you know this it flows so well,
- 2:01:49like you're saying, if you didn't have the pollo part,
- 2:01:52I think that are the Polo part. I think that
- 2:01:54this would be just such a well paced story that
- 2:01:58just is just awesome, just such a fun read. First off,
- 2:02:02so casual and fun, but part of me also because
- 2:02:06I'm kind of invested into it is just wishing that
- 2:02:08each one of these, like we got to hear more,
- 2:02:10you know, even like some of these. One thing I
- 2:02:12think would be kind of interesting. I'm curious to hear
- 2:02:14what you think is even getting to see more of
- 2:02:18these joke emails.
- 2:02:19Speaker 3: I yeah, yeah, seeing what more people are saying, even
- 2:02:22if it is just set dressing for.
- 2:02:23Speaker 2: The world exactly, even if it is just kind of
- 2:02:27I want to get more and more into the psyche
- 2:02:29of having to read these as well, like that building
- 2:02:32sympathy for Elliott and feeling as confused as he is,
- 2:02:36like sharing more of them, you know, Hey, here's a
- 2:02:38string of stuff, or even just being like someone sent
- 2:02:41me this, it's getting really annoying or whatever, Like I
- 2:02:43think that way, I feel like I would have been.
- 2:02:45It's just a giant teeter totter. It's just kind of
- 2:02:49going back and forth whatever. I think that that's really fun,
- 2:02:52really really fun. I'm glad we read this one man.
- 2:02:54This was fun.
- 2:02:55Speaker 3: Yeah, it does go hard. There is one thing that's
- 2:02:58bothering me, though I swear I remembered a different tape.
- 2:03:06There was an extra tape that I kept waiting for
- 2:03:09it to come up. And it's not. And it's honestly
- 2:03:11kind of freaking me out a little bit now because.
- 2:03:15Speaker 2: You have your own personal thing, because that's the whole.
- 2:03:17Speaker 3: Plot, right, Like, Oh, I forgot that I saw this
- 2:03:19as a kid, but I swear there was a tape
- 2:03:23that the whole the whole episode was just hands. It
- 2:03:27was like just hands on camera, like talking like, oh,
- 2:03:30what do you want to do today? And then one
- 2:03:32of the hands cuts the other with scissors and you
- 2:03:35could hear like a muffled scream when that happens, as
- 2:03:38if like it's mister Bear holding the kid's hand and
- 2:03:41making him cut himself.
- 2:03:43Speaker 2: Do you think that this could have been a tape
- 2:03:45like a maybe it's a tape that the series.
- 2:03:48Speaker 3: Hold on, I'm gonna I'm gonna find this out, because
- 2:03:50when it didn't happen, I'm like, oh, it must be
- 2:03:53Candle Cove. But I look it up and that's not
- 2:03:55Candle Cove. Hmmm, hold on, now I'm scared. Oh I
- 2:04:01will mention why I'm looking. This actually got adapted in
- 2:04:04twenty seventeen to an Amazon Prime series, a mini series
- 2:04:09or Amazon Video, but there were also a but there's
- 2:04:13a ton of like alternate nineteen ninety nine stories out
- 2:04:16there where like people wrote, oh, well, this is a
- 2:04:20lost mister Bear episode, or this is another Booby episode
- 2:04:23stuff like that.
- 2:04:23Speaker 2: So I'm curious. Is there anything that we can research
- 2:04:27that shows that possibly why these were removed? Yeah? I
- 2:04:33think I'm curious.
- 2:04:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm curious too.
- 2:04:36Speaker 2: Or maybe even somebody, if anybody in our comments knows
- 2:04:39as well, we'd love to pin or do anything too.
- 2:04:41I mean, like just because that was the last Booby
- 2:04:44entry there. So I'm curious to this.
- 2:04:46Speaker 3: I feel like there's some creepypasta community lore here that
- 2:04:49I'm not privy to, but I want to know. I
- 2:04:52remember when that happened, when people started discussing the hand thing.
- 2:04:56I remember people saying, oh, that's similar to this other thing.
- 2:04:59But I don't don't know if it was straight up
- 2:05:00plagiarism or anything, if it was just another series about
- 2:05:05talking hands, unless the story itself was ripped. But Hi,
- 2:05:09so pretend Detective Windygoon here. I've done some research online
- 2:05:14and I'm pretty sure I know what happened why, I
- 2:05:17and likely some of you remember a different version of
- 2:05:20the story than the one we just read. And all
- 2:05:22of this is just like off hand research I've done
- 2:05:25within a couple hours. So if I'm wrong about any
- 2:05:28of this, feel free to correct me in the comments below. So,
- 2:05:30as mentioned earlier, Camden Lamont is the original author of
- 2:05:34the nineteen ninety nine story. He posted the story to
- 2:05:37his personal blog on November fourteenth of two thousand and nine,
- 2:05:41again with subsequent updates coming out on the dates listed
- 2:05:45within this episode. However, it seems that Lamont wasn't really
- 2:05:49aware of creepypasta culture or of people, you know, copy
- 2:05:53and pasting horror stories around the Internet, so he just
- 2:05:56posted the horror story as his own project to his
- 2:05:59personal blok and that'll be the personal blog that we
- 2:06:02link in the description of this video, so that way,
- 2:06:05any traffic from this goes to the original creator. But
- 2:06:08it seems that after he had posted his story, people
- 2:06:11were taking that story and posting it to creepy pasta
- 2:06:14boards without crediting him. Not only that, but they were
- 2:06:18adding their own additions to the story. And one of
- 2:06:22these editions is the talking hand show known as Booby
- 2:06:25that I mentioned a moment ago, which in itself is
- 2:06:28just a parody of an actual talking hand show called Oubie.
- 2:06:33Not only that, but one of the people who copied
- 2:06:35the story over to a creepypasta form added an extra
- 2:06:38episode of Paint with the Soul that was a one
- 2:06:40for one copy of an allentatorial video, a popular YouTube
- 2:06:44arg in the following years. Since the majority of people's
- 2:06:47interaction with the nineteen ninety nine story was either through
- 2:06:50the Creepy Pasta forums or through Creepy Pasta YouTubers, everyone
- 2:06:55assumed these editions to be part of the original author story.
- 2:06:59So when people started to recognize that Booby was just
- 2:07:03a low effort copy of UBI and that the Paint
- 2:07:07with the Soul episode around Alan Tatorial was straight up plagiarism,
- 2:07:11they started to accuse the original author, Camden Lamont, of
- 2:07:15being the one to copy those stories for his own work.
- 2:07:18But like I said, Camden never put those into the story.
- 2:07:21It's the people who ripped his story and then re
- 2:07:23uploaded it who added the not authentic parts. This also
- 2:07:28led to a lot of drama in like creepypasta communities
- 2:07:31around twenty eighteen, because Camden, who wasn't aware that any
- 2:07:34of this was going on, found out that all of
- 2:07:36it was going on at once and started to take
- 2:07:39down versions of the story that again stole his story
- 2:07:42and then added parts that made it seem like he
- 2:07:45was copying someone else's work. But people who didn't know
- 2:07:48the full story of that just assume Camden didn't want
- 2:07:51people to talk about his plagiarism, which again, he never
- 2:07:54actually did. So Camden received a lot of hate because
- 2:07:57people thought he just stole other people's stories and was
- 2:08:00trying to hide the evidence. So the version that we
- 2:08:02read today is Camden's original work as he originally wrote it,
- 2:08:05and all this stuff about plagiarism and whatnot are from
- 2:08:08people who ripped his story in the first place. Again,
- 2:08:10link to his original blog post in the description. And
- 2:08:13if I got any of this wrong, please let me know.
- 2:08:16Speaker 2: You know, in nineteen ninety nine it was rad, I
- 2:08:17mean very very rad. I know people people have requested
- 2:08:20this one in the showers, so maybe we'll maybe we'll
- 2:08:22hit the showers next or.
- 2:08:24Speaker 3: Kind of makes up for them requesting the thing in
- 2:08:27the basement.
- 2:08:28Speaker 2: I'm still you know what. Whatever they requested is not
- 2:08:31our fault, is all I have to say. This one,
- 2:08:33This one was luckily a strong one, Like I think
- 2:08:35it's it's awesome, just a lot of cool influences in there,
- 2:08:37and it's just it's interesting to see these kind of
- 2:08:40Internet stories and how they you know, inspire each other
- 2:08:43and it's cool. Man, I'm stoked on it.
- 2:08:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:08:47Speaker 2: But without further ado, I mean that was nineteen ninety nine,
- 2:08:50Ladies and gentlemen. As always, we request just be sure
- 2:08:53to listen to this on audio platforms if you can,
- 2:08:55and review or you know, give us a nice little
- 2:08:57thumbs up or five star rating. And also if you
- 2:09:00have any story suggestions, please be sure to leave them
- 2:09:03down below. We do look at that, and we look
- 2:09:05at all the funny little fan edits as well. It
- 2:09:07makes it, like I said, belly jiggling. It's very very nice.
- 2:09:10I'm actually going to go clean my shorts because of
- 2:09:12the Elgato box dropping. That really, uh that got me
- 2:09:16pretty bad. It is a stinky mess in my pants
- 2:09:18right now from that and I am still shaking.
- 2:09:22Speaker 3: That's what you did.
- 2:09:23Speaker 2: That is what I get. I feel bad. But without
- 2:09:26further ado, thank you so much for watching creep Cast
- 2:09:28and we will see you in the next one.
- 2:09:30Speaker 3: See you in the next one. Everyone, Ah bye bye
- 2:09:34bye bye.
