- 0:26Speaker 3: two conversation more.
- 0:28Speaker 2: But there's a lot of like that above us.
- 0:30Speaker 1: No, No, he's.
- 0:31Speaker 2: No, you know, wilting Violet or whatever that's saying shrinking
- 0:36Speaker 2: Violet here.
- 0:37Speaker 3: I'm an ally of Bill's Mafia Tuesday, or an.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Ally of an honorary member.
- 0:44Speaker 3: No, I have friends in the mafia, and you.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Know a cl was late, not hurt late, Nix says nuts.
- 0:56Speaker 3: I don't have anything. I don't have anything nice to say,
- 1:00Speaker 3: so I'm just not going to say it at all. Okay,
- 1:01Speaker 3: what do you mean, I'm not a man of the people.
- 1:03Speaker 2: You don't like people.
- 1:04Speaker 4: You're right.
- 1:05Speaker 3: The radio side of it is a little different than
- 1:07Speaker 3: like the reporters beat reporter side of it.
- 1:09Speaker 5: I think it's all the same. I think it's just
- 1:11Speaker 5: all raw raw. Rossis boombo.
- 1:14Speaker 2: But do you underst This is Patriot's Unfiltered.
- 1:17Speaker 6: Presented by Toyota's official website for deals, buy a Toyota
- 1:21Speaker 6: dot com.
- 1:23Speaker 2: All right, welcome the Patriots Unfiltered. It is Wednesday here
- 1:28Speaker 2: at j Les Stadium. I turn the page day. We'll
- 1:32Speaker 2: be turning our eyes to the Baltimore Ravens for a
- 1:36Speaker 2: Sunday night game. But you know, there's probably still some
- 1:39Speaker 2: residue from the Bills game that people want to talk about.
- 1:42Speaker 2: So that's okay, but we are going to focus on
- 1:46Speaker 2: the on the Ravens today. We got Mike Rabel at
- 1:49Speaker 2: one ten. I believe that is that what he's coming on.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, on the nose when you know, I can't
- 1:56Speaker 3: tell people one because it's.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Oh, you're complaining now getting more information, you know.
- 2:02Speaker 3: It's just like consistency. Fred.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Oh well the same time, listen, I like the communication
- 2:08Speaker 2: from this regime. I have no complaints, no complaints. I
- 2:11Speaker 2: think they're outstanding, outstanding.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Well, you got to deal with it a lot. I mean,
- 2:16Speaker 1: we don't want to have those conversations on keeping the
- 2:19Speaker 1: train on the track.
- 2:20Speaker 2: You asked the question, you get a response, you get explanations.
- 2:24Speaker 2: It's it's it's it's wonderful anyway. Okay, So it's Evan
- 2:30Speaker 2: it's Paul, let's do us, it's me, It's Alex and
- 2:32Speaker 2: Matt in the booth that.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I like that sing song. Yeah it's good.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I'm feeling good.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I'm feeling better, A feeling better, No, no, no more
- 2:43Speaker 1: dark Fred feeling better?
- 2:44Speaker 3: Do you hear what when Matt Collins said about it,
- 2:47Speaker 3: about what about the game on Sunday and the loss?
- 2:49Speaker 2: What did he say?
- 2:50Speaker 3: He said, like, when you know, because everybody poops, right,
- 2:53Speaker 3: so when you take a poop, you don't stare at
- 2:55Speaker 3: it forever. You gotta flush it eventually. Yeah, so we
- 2:57Speaker 3: were flushing.
- 2:58Speaker 2: It, flushed the poop.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Yeah, we're done.
- 3:00Speaker 2: We buried the ball.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know about that, but they flushed the poop. Okay, yeah,
- 3:04Speaker 3: all right, that's what we're going with.
- 3:05Speaker 2: So he thought it was a turn of the game.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:09Speaker 3: I don't want to put work in his mouth, but
- 3:12Speaker 3: that was that was his metaphor.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Okay, because you thought it was a pretty good game.
- 3:17Speaker 3: You know, that was a good game football game.
- 3:20Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean in terms of the Patriots, it wasn't
- 3:22Speaker 5: without his parrots.
- 3:23Speaker 2: They didn't play so poorly.
- 3:25Speaker 5: They did some things. Well, yeah, was that their best half?
- 3:28Speaker 5: The first half is probably the best, probably the best
- 3:30Speaker 5: half of the season.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Might be their best fast and Tom Brady was here. Yeah, yeah,
- 3:35Speaker 3: I mean that was Yeah.
- 3:37Speaker 5: Dude, I had the pleasure of, you know, chatting with
- 3:40Speaker 5: Claire today on a clear perspective.
- 3:43Speaker 7: Yes, yeah, I said what Devon just said.
- 3:47Speaker 5: I think it was not only this year is probably
- 3:49Speaker 5: the best half in quite some time. Yeah, best best
- 3:52Speaker 5: football they played in a while. Now, it doesn't matter
- 3:55Speaker 5: when you can't come away with a win. But yeah,
- 4:00Speaker 5: I mean there were some things that you should feel
- 4:01Speaker 5: good about.
- 4:02Speaker 2: All right. So how you know, coming off that game,
- 4:06Speaker 2: how concerned are we about stopping the run against the Ravens? Very?
- 4:11Speaker 2: Very yes.
- 4:12Speaker 3: I don't know how you can't be.
- 4:13Speaker 7: I've been worried about stopping their run for.
- 4:15Speaker 1: A while, and I've been worried about Derreck Henry since
- 4:19Speaker 1: August twenty nineteen. Correct, when he walked in front of
- 4:22Speaker 1: me in a pair of shorts, I said, good luck
- 4:24Speaker 1: to arrest to tackle that guy.
- 4:27Speaker 5: Well, I made the unfortunate mistake of asking Duce a
- 4:30Speaker 5: question while he was looking at Derrick Henry.
- 4:32Speaker 7: I never got a response.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Well, to be fair, I mean, it's not like he's
- 4:35Speaker 2: lights out this year. Teams have had success stopping him
- 4:38Speaker 2: this year. It's not like every game against one hundred yards.
- 4:40Speaker 3: I mean they're third in the league and rushing, so
- 4:42Speaker 3: not a ton of success. It's still a really good
- 4:45Speaker 3: rushing team, really good. I don't know why are they
- 4:49Speaker 3: seven and seven? Yeah, Lamar's hurt.
- 4:51Speaker 5: Hurt, Yeah, but he still has run for eleven hundred
- 4:54Speaker 5: and twenty five yards ten touchdowns.
- 4:56Speaker 7: He averages almost five yards.
- 4:58Speaker 2: There's certain games where he's not done that well.
- 5:01Speaker 7: And then other games of the games that Lamar didn't play.
- 5:04Speaker 3: In and they had he had some fumbling issues.
- 5:08Speaker 7: Definitely cost them the first game of the year.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Yeah, but their run game is awesome. It's it's schemed well,
- 5:15Speaker 3: they got good players. They got recarred as a beast
- 5:19Speaker 3: like this is old school there, smash mouthed bully ball
- 5:24Speaker 3: like this is not going to be.
- 5:25Speaker 2: So Patriots have the personnel to combat that as we
- 5:30Speaker 2: stand right now.
- 5:32Speaker 7: So I have a question for the You like to
- 5:34Speaker 7: ask the ball knowers.
- 5:36Speaker 5: So I'm going to ask the ball knowers Mike and
- 5:38Speaker 5: and Evan oh me, Yeah, I mean, all right, do
- 5:42Speaker 5: you think the James Cooks style smaller quicker slasher or
- 5:47Speaker 5: the power guy and Derrick Henry? Which one do you
- 5:49Speaker 5: think the Patriots are better suited to defend?
- 5:52Speaker 2: I think earlier it was Oh geez, so I can't answer. Okay,
- 5:57Speaker 2: go ahead. I think early in the season they'd rather
- 6:00Speaker 2: have the big guy.
- 6:02Speaker 1: What do you mean because the just harder to kick
- 6:04Speaker 1: guys on the cold kind of thing.
- 6:06Speaker 2: No, no, just they I'm just saying the way the
- 6:09Speaker 2: team was playing against the run earlier in the season.
- 6:12Speaker 2: You know everybody was healthy. Williams Tonga, I think you
- 6:18Speaker 2: know they they'll take their chances against the guy who's
- 6:21Speaker 2: not the slasher.
- 6:22Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 6:22Speaker 1: I think they can be better. I can think even
- 6:24Speaker 1: better than they were last week against James Cook. I
- 6:27Speaker 1: am concerned about the mistackle rate that that popped back
- 6:29Speaker 1: up last week. That's something with Derrick Henry that you
- 6:32Speaker 1: wouldn't really expect with James Cook as much. I know
- 6:34Speaker 1: he's shifty, but this is what Derreck Henry does. He's
- 6:36Speaker 1: a big tackle breaking machine. But if they get back
- 6:40Speaker 1: to playing in sync and everyone's got the right call,
- 6:43Speaker 1: everyone knows what they're executing. I think that was part
- 6:46Speaker 1: of the problem last week, then I think that they
- 6:49Speaker 1: can be okay, but I still look at the Ravens
- 6:52Speaker 1: team and say they've got all the elements you need
- 6:54Speaker 1: to attack this Patriots team where their weakest and I mean,
- 6:56Speaker 1: you know, look no farther than last week where they
- 6:58Speaker 1: don't have a lot of receiving threats, but they can
- 7:00Speaker 1: do it with the tight ends and the run game
- 7:01Speaker 1: gets going, and you know, it's.
- 7:04Speaker 2: A bad matchup.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I mean, I think it is a little bit of
- 7:06Speaker 1: a bad matchup, at least defensively without explain, without Moulton Williams.
- 7:10Speaker 1: You know, again you're looking at Christian Gonzalez, you know,
- 7:12Speaker 1: probably not going to cover as they flower, so you know,
- 7:15Speaker 1: not a lot for him to do. They can try
- 7:17Speaker 1: to attack Marcus Jones a little bit with him. So
- 7:20Speaker 1: I yeah, I don't think it's a great matchup the
- 7:22Speaker 1: Ravens offense. It's just to me, it really depends on
- 7:25Speaker 1: does Lamar do what Josh Allen did last week and
- 7:27Speaker 1: start to play MVP titles. Ravens are favorite, I think
- 7:31Speaker 1: slightly their favor but I will say Ravens haven't been
- 7:34Speaker 1: anybody good. So I don't know the Patriots good or not,
- 7:36Speaker 1: but the Ravens haven't been anybody good.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Unless you all those good teams fall during when Lamar
- 7:41Speaker 2: was hurt.
- 7:41Speaker 3: He was hurt some of them, Yeah, the weeks five
- 7:44Speaker 3: through eight, But he's hurt now, Like he's not the
- 7:48Speaker 3: same player that he has been, especially not the last
- 7:51Speaker 3: two years when he was, you know, probably the second
- 7:54Speaker 3: best quarterback in the league. They in terms of Paul's question,
- 8:00Speaker 3: I don't know if it matters because they were giving
- 8:02Speaker 3: up all the runs up the middle to Cook two,
- 8:04Speaker 3: So that's where they're gonna Ravens. They're gonna hit them now.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Cook is a little bit different, of course. But I
- 8:12Speaker 3: think the biggest thing with the Patriots last week is
- 8:14Speaker 3: I just thought that the details in terms of their
- 8:18Speaker 3: run fits just weren't there. Like the guys were getting
- 8:20Speaker 3: out of gaps, and they weren't you know, in sync
- 8:24Speaker 3: in the box in terms of how they were going
- 8:26Speaker 3: to stop the run. You can't do that against Baltimore,
- 8:29Speaker 3: Like it's not the thing about Baltimore's run game, too,
- 8:31Speaker 3: is that it's explosive. Like it's not just that they're
- 8:34Speaker 3: gonna get you at five six yards of carry. You know,
- 8:37Speaker 3: every single time, they're second in the league an explosive
- 8:40Speaker 3: run rate as well, so they can hit big ones
- 8:42Speaker 3: on you too if you're not careful. So I think
- 8:46Speaker 3: the one thing that they might have though, is like
- 8:48Speaker 3: if you can bottle up the run game enough, Like
- 8:51Speaker 3: the Ravens drop back passing game right now is not
- 8:54Speaker 3: very good, and so if you can get them into
- 8:56Speaker 3: that straight drop back game, then you have a chance.
- 9:00Speaker 2: How do you do that?
- 9:01Speaker 3: Stop the run? Yeah, I mean they gotta stop the run.
- 9:03Speaker 3: You gotta stop the play action, you gotta stop the RPOs.
- 9:06Speaker 3: All that goes into it. And you know they're running
- 9:08Speaker 3: the ball a little bit more from under center now.
- 9:11Speaker 3: I think that's probably related to Lamar's health, but that
- 9:14Speaker 3: they get the quarterback under center and McCard in the
- 9:17Speaker 3: backfield and Henry behind him, and that's a lot of
- 9:20Speaker 3: that's a lot of beef coming at you.
- 9:22Speaker 2: What's the early weather report for Baltimore.
- 9:24Speaker 3: I think it's gonna be nicer. I heard like forties
- 9:27Speaker 3: or fifties from some folks.
- 9:29Speaker 7: Good news for Drake.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Yeah, me wonderful. Where is Yeah?
- 9:33Speaker 5: I asked the question about Henry because and I agree
- 9:37Speaker 5: with you, they're going to try to do a lot
- 9:38Speaker 5: of the you know, similar kind of you know between
- 9:40Speaker 5: the tackles, you know, power football, But does Cook's ability
- 9:45Speaker 5: to sort of squirt through the whole a little bit quicker? Yeah,
- 9:48Speaker 5: you know, Henry's always been a guy, even at his height,
- 9:51Speaker 5: he's been a guy who takes a little time. If
- 9:53Speaker 5: you can get him in the backfield before he gets going,
- 9:55Speaker 5: you can shut him down. That's why I was asking you,
- 9:58Speaker 5: do you think.
- 9:58Speaker 4: I like that?
- 9:59Speaker 1: I like that that observation.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Mitchell's a good player too, though their their speed back
- 10:04Speaker 3: this is he's a good player too. But yeah, I
- 10:07Speaker 3: hear you. I think that was the one thing. And
- 10:08Speaker 3: do you say you kind of hite it at this
- 10:10Speaker 3: Yesterday they just didn't make very many plays on the
- 10:13Speaker 3: other side of the line of scrimmage against Buffalo, Like
- 10:16Speaker 3: there just wasn't enough disruption, whether that was against the
- 10:19Speaker 3: pass or the run, but there wasn't enough TFLs, there
- 10:22Speaker 3: wasn't enough stuffs, Like, there just wasn't enough plays on
- 10:25Speaker 3: the other side of the line of scrimmage for the Patriots.
- 10:28Speaker 3: So if they can find ways to make that happen
- 10:31Speaker 3: a little bit more consistently this week, then I hear
- 10:33Speaker 3: what you're saying.
- 10:34Speaker 5: And I wonder, you know, I mean obviously if you
- 10:35Speaker 5: get a twenty one nothing lead the way they did again,
- 10:38Speaker 5: you know, I think it's game set match, you know,
- 10:40Speaker 5: against it, I guess because I don't think they have
- 10:42Speaker 5: the ability, as Evan just said, to be a strict
- 10:45Speaker 5: dropback passing team. You know, you look at their receiving totals,
- 10:49Speaker 5: Zay Flowers with forty one, then it's the tight ends.
- 10:51Speaker 5: You go all the way down to eighteen for you know,
- 10:55Speaker 5: Bateman and Hopkins and those guys. So they want to throw,
- 11:01Speaker 5: you know, sort of mix it in. They they want
- 11:04Speaker 5: to control the game the way they you know, whether.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Defense is better Bills or Ravens Ravens.
- 11:10Speaker 5: Yeah, they didn't play well earlier in the year, but
- 11:12Speaker 5: the Ravens have better personnel on defense.
- 11:14Speaker 3: The Ravens defense since like Week six, has been one
- 11:16Speaker 3: of the best defenses in the league. They started off horribly,
- 11:19Speaker 3: like historically bad for their standards. I think they're giving
- 11:23Speaker 3: up like thirty five a game in the first five
- 11:25Speaker 3: weeks of this forty.
- 11:25Speaker 5: One seventeen to Cleveland, then thirty eight, thirty seven, forty four.
- 11:30Speaker 5: That's how they started the season. Yeah, it was like
- 11:32Speaker 5: hist it's been okay, Yeah, it sounds.
- 11:34Speaker 2: To me like Ravens should be like six point favorites
- 11:37Speaker 2: in this game.
- 11:38Speaker 7: No, it's like two and a half.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I think, Yeah, I think, I mean, I think. I
- 11:41Speaker 1: think people are still struggling to really get a beat
- 11:43Speaker 1: on them with Lamar back, and it's just one of
- 11:45Speaker 1: those things where you just don't you don't want to
- 11:47Speaker 1: mark him down because you know the talent he possesses,
- 11:50Speaker 1: but how hurt is.
- 11:51Speaker 5: He And I think if he was running and doing
- 11:53Speaker 5: his typical Lamar Jackson, yeah, they would be probably a
- 11:55Speaker 5: touchdown favorite in this game.
- 11:57Speaker 7: But that's not the case.
- 11:58Speaker 5: And you know, Mike, you mentioned like they've played a
- 12:03Speaker 5: much more difficult schedule, but they only be one really
- 12:06Speaker 5: good team and that's Chicago. They've had a lot of
- 12:10Speaker 5: clo I mean, I lost forty one forty to the Bills,
- 12:12Speaker 5: they lost thirty eight thirty to the Lions. They you know,
- 12:15Speaker 5: they got killed by the Texans without Lamar. They've had
- 12:21Speaker 5: some some opportunities against better teams, but the only one
- 12:24Speaker 5: they were able to beat with Chicago thirty to sixteen.
- 12:27Speaker 7: Yeah, that's a good win.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:29Speaker 3: They they've had a weird year, you know, they've Lamar's
- 12:33Speaker 3: been hurt Mattabique. Their their best pass rusher is on
- 12:37Speaker 3: injured reserve. He's out for the year. So their their
- 12:40Speaker 3: pass rush has fallen off a cliff here, and they've
- 12:43Speaker 3: been kind of getting away with smoking mirrors in their
- 12:46Speaker 3: pass rush ever since. You know, they haven't really had
- 12:50Speaker 3: a Ravens type season. You know, seven and seven is
- 12:53Speaker 3: not what you expect from the Ravens. And I think
- 12:56Speaker 3: the two biggest things that you look at, you know,
- 12:58Speaker 3: lamar in the drop back passing just hasn't really been there.
- 13:01Speaker 3: If you can get them out of run run play action,
- 13:04Speaker 3: like you can get them out of that sequencing and
- 13:06Speaker 3: turn it into a drop back passing game, then you
- 13:08Speaker 3: can have some success. And their past defense, they haven't
- 13:12Speaker 3: really gotten a ton of pressure around the quarterback. So
- 13:15Speaker 3: there he should have time, Drake should have time back there.
- 13:19Speaker 3: They should be able to block it. You know, it's
- 13:21Speaker 3: the same thing as last week. They're gonna spin the dial,
- 13:24Speaker 3: They're gonna show them different pictures and can the defense,
- 13:27Speaker 3: you know, the offense and the receivers and Drake, you know,
- 13:30Speaker 3: can he react to it better this time around? And
- 13:32Speaker 3: what Buffalo did in the second half, You know.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I look at the Kyle Hamilton, you know, playing
- 13:38Speaker 1: sub linebacker a lot on tight ends a lot. So
- 13:40Speaker 1: you know, how is he take Hunter Henry out of
- 13:43Speaker 1: the equation? You know, that was something we talked about.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Is that part of the what do you call it
- 13:48Speaker 1: the binky the formulat print, part of the blueprint? I mean,
- 13:53Speaker 1: that's always taking Hunter Henry out of it. But Kyle
- 13:56Speaker 1: van Noy.
- 13:57Speaker 8: Still out there still, It's incredible I think that I'm
- 14:01Speaker 8: out there.
- 14:02Speaker 3: It's incredible that he's still playing at a pretty high level. Yeah,
- 14:05Speaker 3: but yeah, you know, Hamilton's an awesome player, and they Starks.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Now it seemed like Starks now the free safety and
- 14:11Speaker 1: they'll play a.
- 14:12Speaker 5: Lot of Gilman kwya Gilman before the trade deadline. That's
- 14:17Speaker 5: really allowed for your center free I mean Hamilton, not Henderson.
- 14:20Speaker 3: So yeah, yeah, that was you know, I was reading
- 14:22Speaker 3: up a little bit on you know, how they turned
- 14:24Speaker 3: this thing around, because they're they're numbers like splits between
- 14:27Speaker 3: the first five weeks and then since then it pretty.
- 14:31Speaker 5: I read you those those numbers off the top. So
- 14:34Speaker 5: they they're six and two in their last eight games.
- 14:36Speaker 5: This is what they allowed in those eight games, seventeen
- 14:39Speaker 5: sixteen six, nineteen sixteen, ten, thirty two, twenty seven. Guess
- 14:44Speaker 5: what happened in those two games? And then zero so
- 14:48Speaker 5: six and oh while allowing twenty or fewer points actually
- 14:52Speaker 5: under twenty in all of those games, and then the
- 14:54Speaker 5: two that they allowed more, they lost because they don't
- 14:56Speaker 5: have that kind of offense anymore, not with Lamar not
- 14:59Speaker 5: at full strength.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it's interesting they've only kind of ended up with
- 15:03Speaker 1: they flowers because it felt like the last few years
- 15:05Speaker 1: they've been constantly trying, like Bateman and Hapkins.
- 15:09Speaker 5: It's been heard, and I think he's heard now. I
- 15:12Speaker 5: don't think he's playing in this game.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Right, I don't think so. He didn't play last week.
- 15:16Speaker 5: So they haven't been able to be consistent enough. I
- 15:19Speaker 5: don't think Lamar is consistent enough as a strict passer.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Yeah, he's he's one of the and he's probably one
- 15:25Speaker 3: of my favorite players in the league. Incredibly talented, but
- 15:28Speaker 3: he's one of those guys that loves to throw the
- 15:31Speaker 3: middle of the field. If he can throw to the
- 15:33Speaker 3: tight ends and flowers over the middle of the field,
- 15:35Speaker 3: the seams, the crossing routes, you know, things like that,
- 15:38Speaker 3: he can be lethal. But when you asked him to
- 15:40Speaker 3: throw the ball outside the numbers and push the ball
- 15:43Speaker 3: down the field outside the numbers. All going all the
- 15:46Speaker 3: way back to Louisville, he has not been a very
- 15:48Speaker 3: good outside the numbers passer. So like that's that's the book, right,
- 15:53Speaker 3: Like you gotta stop the run, you gotta flood the
- 15:56Speaker 3: middle of the field, and you got to turn him
- 15:58Speaker 3: into a drop back passer. You know, he doesn't have
- 16:01Speaker 3: the scrambling special trait as much anymore now, so you
- 16:04Speaker 3: can hope that maybe you can actually catch him if
- 16:06Speaker 3: he goes and tries to take off Nike in years past,
- 16:10Speaker 3: So that if you're trying to beat this team, like
- 16:14Speaker 3: that's that those are the objectives. Stop the run, take
- 16:17Speaker 3: away the middle of the field, don't let him scramble
- 16:19Speaker 3: on you.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, do you think he's lost it permanently
- 16:22Speaker 1: or do you think this is just a he's been
- 16:23Speaker 1: hurt this year and he doesn't because I agree, like
- 16:25Speaker 1: I still really passed, but he just doesn't have the
- 16:27Speaker 1: like ludicrous speed right gear anymore, or at least this
- 16:30Speaker 1: season for what it's worth.
- 16:32Speaker 3: He's, uh, he's incredibly banged up. He's got like three
- 16:34Speaker 3: different lower body injuries one leg. Yeah, it's like knee,
- 16:39Speaker 3: ankle toe, Like.
- 16:41Speaker 5: What's it all started with a hamstring. He missed the
- 16:43Speaker 5: month with a hamstring, which you know we saw that.
- 16:46Speaker 5: They linger.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Yeah, and then they apparently I mean other injuries starts because
- 16:50Speaker 1: you're compensating and all that. So they asking me a challenge,
- 16:54Speaker 1: no question, I mean I I also point I said
- 16:56Speaker 1: it on the postgame show. Just the atmosphere, the Patriots
- 16:58Speaker 1: having to get their end energy back up off of
- 17:01Speaker 1: a loss on the road. You know, it's they did
- 17:03Speaker 1: it earlier in the season against Buffalo, but I think
- 17:05Speaker 1: these games are are a big challenge for the coaching
- 17:07Speaker 1: staff to get them ready to you know, manage the
- 17:10Speaker 1: energy to counter what Baltimore seven and seven like. You know,
- 17:13Speaker 1: they got to keep pace with Pittsburgh. There's a lot
- 17:15Speaker 1: for the Ravens to play for and to come out
- 17:16Speaker 1: and you know, beat the Patriots at home. So Patriots
- 17:19Speaker 1: are gonna have to come ready to play.
- 17:21Speaker 7: Yeah. It's funny. It's the team that can't lose on
- 17:23Speaker 7: the road.
- 17:24Speaker 5: The Patriots the only undefeated team on the road, and
- 17:26Speaker 5: then the Ravens a team that can't win at home.
- 17:29Speaker 7: Yeah, they're three and five at home three and five.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Yeah, So if the Patriots win this game, blank happened
- 17:37Speaker 2: to make the playoffs?
- 17:38Speaker 1: Oh? What happened?
- 17:41Speaker 9: They?
- 17:42Speaker 1: I think they came the run game, And I mean
- 17:44Speaker 1: that's probably the biggest X factor is just Drake may
- 17:47Speaker 1: play well.
- 17:48Speaker 2: So last week, last week's failure to stop the run,
- 17:52Speaker 2: you're saying you'd think it was a just a technique thing.
- 17:57Speaker 2: It wasn't all.
- 17:58Speaker 3: I don't think it was just a week too.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I think when you're missing talent, you need your defense
- 18:02Speaker 1: to all play and sink and know what the calls
- 18:04Speaker 1: are and to build the wall and to you know,
- 18:06Speaker 1: know who's going where. And this it just reminded me
- 18:09Speaker 1: of the defenses of the last couple of years where
- 18:11Speaker 1: they just didn't have talent. They couldn't make plays, they
- 18:13Speaker 1: couldn't play on their side of the field. It was
- 18:14Speaker 1: just you know, you get lucky with a penalty or
- 18:17Speaker 1: I mean, Paul, we talk about this all the time,
- 18:19Speaker 1: like you can get a holding penalty, like there it
- 18:20Speaker 1: is they're getting off the field. I don't know if
- 18:22Speaker 1: it's that extreme with this group right now, but you know,
- 18:25Speaker 1: that's kind of how it felt to me, like they
- 18:26Speaker 1: just they they couldn't make plays.
- 18:28Speaker 2: But is that because, like I'm trying to get that,
- 18:32Speaker 2: because of people, or is it because of X's and oh.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Well, I would say that, you know, they since Milton
- 18:38Speaker 3: Williams has gone out there, run defense has fallen off
- 18:40Speaker 3: a cliff, So that would suggest and you know it's Williams,
- 18:44Speaker 3: it's Tonga has missed some time in there, Spallaine has
- 18:47Speaker 3: now missed some time in there. And now we're talking
- 18:49Speaker 3: about the spine of the defense. So you're and you're going,
- 18:53Speaker 3: you know, James Cook is coming right down your throat. Well,
- 18:56Speaker 3: Milton Williams in Splaine are supposed to be right there
- 18:59Speaker 3: and they're not right now. So I think that there's
- 19:01Speaker 3: a lot of that going on. But in this game
- 19:03Speaker 3: against the Bills. I didn't necessarily think this was the
- 19:06Speaker 3: case before the Bills game, But in this game against
- 19:08Speaker 3: the Bills, I couldn't tell you what they were trying
- 19:10Speaker 3: to do from a Fit six perspective, Like guys were
- 19:13Speaker 3: out of gaps, Like guys weren't were late to Filly.
- 19:17Speaker 3: You know, Tonga's like jumping the backfield, but nobody's replacing him.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Like in the It's almost like they were guessing and
- 19:23Speaker 2: like getting it wrong.
- 19:24Speaker 7: So and there's probably some of that.
- 19:26Speaker 5: And I also think you know, as you get later
- 19:29Speaker 5: in the year, it because the power teams sometimes I
- 19:34Speaker 5: think can get an advantage as the year goes on
- 19:37Speaker 5: because you're not as quite as fresh and it's a
- 19:40Speaker 5: little bit harder to get off those blocks. And now
- 19:42Speaker 5: in this particular case, you take Spleine out right, so
- 19:46Speaker 5: obviously he's a good player, and you're missing a good player,
- 19:48Speaker 5: which that's you know, a parent like you need a
- 19:52Speaker 5: good player. But there's more snaps now for Gibbons, there's
- 19:56Speaker 5: more snaps now for Ellis, there's more snaps for Tavai
- 19:59Speaker 5: where that was kind of a you know, explain, was
- 20:02Speaker 5: an every down player. The other guy's kind of rotated
- 20:04Speaker 5: in so those guys aren't quite as fresh as they
- 20:07Speaker 5: might have been in another game Tonga, Did Tonga play
- 20:10Speaker 5: more snaps in the season high These kind of things
- 20:14Speaker 5: you just kind of watch, Yeah, don't check it, just
- 20:16Speaker 5: just go with it.
- 20:17Speaker 7: You have a feel for it, and.
- 20:20Speaker 2: It's great.
- 20:20Speaker 3: It's actually pretty good.
- 20:21Speaker 5: Yeah, that's like I think that's part of it. You know,
- 20:27Speaker 5: it's not just missing good players. Obviously, you want your
- 20:30Speaker 5: good players out there, but it's the trickle down a fact.
- 20:32Speaker 3: It just was weird, Like they kept on having toanga
- 20:35Speaker 3: I try to shoot the backside gap and he would
- 20:38Speaker 3: just shoot the gap get washed out, and then nobody
- 20:40Speaker 3: would take his spot, like and so then the a
- 20:43Speaker 3: gap was just left uncovered. And I was just like
- 20:47Speaker 3: I couldn't tell you, like without being in the meeting
- 20:50Speaker 3: and knowing the calls and all, like, I don't know
- 20:52Speaker 3: what was supposed to happen. It just wasn't happening. And
- 20:55Speaker 3: like the linebackers were just seemed, you know, like they
- 20:57Speaker 3: were just getting reached by the lineman CLI up to
- 21:00Speaker 3: the second level and you know, they were just getting bullied.
- 21:03Speaker 3: And I just I don't know if that if you're
- 21:07Speaker 3: better on your details and you come in with the
- 21:09Speaker 3: right mentality of stopping the run, like in theory, you
- 21:12Speaker 3: should do better about that, but who knows, Like, you know,
- 21:15Speaker 3: all last year it was the same thing and they
- 21:17Speaker 3: just didn't have the personnel to stop it.
- 21:20Speaker 5: I've always felt the best way to stop a really
- 21:23Speaker 5: good running game is by scoring, because that makes the
- 21:28Speaker 5: running game uncomfortable.
- 21:29Speaker 7: Yep, you know, and.
- 21:32Speaker 5: Theoretically, you know, my theory takes a big hit Sunday
- 21:35Speaker 5: because theoretically you did that, like you get a.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Twenty one, you completely stopped.
- 21:41Speaker 7: But that should eliminate completely.
- 21:43Speaker 5: What I'm saying is, when you get up twenty one nothing,
- 21:48Speaker 5: you shouldn't be able to continue to run the ball
- 21:49Speaker 5: and get back in the game. And Buffalo did. Yeah,
- 21:52Speaker 5: but you know they were able to. You know, give
- 21:54Speaker 5: them credit. They stayed patient enough with it because they
- 21:57Speaker 5: probably feel like they have.
- 21:59Speaker 2: To, you know, but they did it and so quickly,
- 22:02Speaker 2: just you know, like the time, you know, in their
- 22:06Speaker 2: first two drives. Now they're down by one score, so
- 22:09Speaker 2: now they can stick to the run, you.
- 22:11Speaker 5: Know, But they weren't. They were still down by two scores.
- 22:14Speaker 5: After they scored twice, twenty four to fourteen. I give
- 22:18Speaker 5: them credit for they scored.
- 22:19Speaker 2: It was twenty four to seven going into the second half, right, Yeah,
- 22:24Speaker 2: then they scored twice unanswered to make it all.
- 22:27Speaker 7: It's the fourth quarter, it's quarter. It was the first March.
- 22:31Speaker 7: They scored twice in the third quarter, twice in the fourth.
- 22:33Speaker 2: It was the first two drives of the third quarter
- 22:35Speaker 2: that they got within one score.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:37Speaker 5: I think most teams down twenty one nothing aren't going
- 22:39Speaker 5: to pound James Cook away at you.
- 22:40Speaker 1: They did.
- 22:41Speaker 7: I give them credit for that.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Well, I think if we if we had scored coming out.
- 22:45Speaker 5: And we actually said thank.
- 22:47Speaker 2: You, you know what I'm talking.
- 22:49Speaker 5: Well, I just don't think it's accurate. I give them credit.
- 22:52Speaker 7: I do.
- 22:53Speaker 5: I don't think most teams would continue to pound James
- 22:56Speaker 5: Cook between the tackles.
- 22:57Speaker 2: They were able to do it because we didn't when
- 23:00Speaker 2: we had the.
- 23:01Speaker 7: Ball, right.
- 23:02Speaker 5: That's why I said the best defense the running game
- 23:05Speaker 5: is an offense.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Right.
- 23:07Speaker 7: But my theory took a hit on Sunday.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Yeah, because it didn't work. Actually, stick it up for you.
- 23:13Speaker 2: They stopped scoring, and the Bill sub we got this offense.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Now we can stick to our run. And it was
- 23:20Speaker 1: you know, throw to score, run to win. They couldn't
- 23:22Speaker 1: run to win either. You know that's part of it too.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I mean I still think, like had the Patriots sustained
- 23:26Speaker 1: some of that throwing and scoring into the third quarter,
- 23:29Speaker 1: that they might have still won it in spite of
- 23:31Speaker 1: allowing those yards. So, I mean, I still think your
- 23:34Speaker 1: theory about that is ex accurate.
- 23:35Speaker 5: It's if you think it'd be different this week, because
- 23:37Speaker 5: I don't think Lamar is is Lamar right, yeah, yeah, no,
- 23:41Speaker 5: Josh Allen, you know if you could rip off, you know,
- 23:44Speaker 5: so I say that I don't. I don't like their
- 23:47Speaker 5: chances the Ravens, like in a drop back game. Normally
- 23:50Speaker 5: I would be fine with that, even though I don't
- 23:52Speaker 5: think that's great because Lamar can drop back, you know,
- 23:54Speaker 5: fifteen plays in a row, and he might get a
- 23:56Speaker 5: twenty five yard run or two in some of those dropbacks.
- 24:01Speaker 5: I don't think he can do that, right, I just
- 24:02Speaker 5: look at his numbers. Is you know, he's only average
- 24:05Speaker 5: in five and a half yards of carry. That's a
- 24:06Speaker 5: really low number for him. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised
- 24:09Speaker 5: if that's a career low number. That's another one, and
- 24:11Speaker 5: I won't check it.
- 24:12Speaker 7: I'll just go with it.
- 24:13Speaker 3: And they also don't run him. Are aren't running him
- 24:15Speaker 3: as much by design because they don't want to risk it,
- 24:17Speaker 3: you know. So there's that angle of it too. But
- 24:20Speaker 3: I give Buffalo a lot of credit as well, because
- 24:23Speaker 3: I thought it was really telling that they came out
- 24:25Speaker 3: of halftime running because they kind of know that that
- 24:28Speaker 3: right now is there. That's how Okay, let's get control
- 24:32Speaker 3: of this game. Very first play of the second half
- 24:35Speaker 3: is outside zone to James Cook, like it wasn't let's
- 24:39Speaker 3: drop back Allen right like, and he's a great player,
- 24:42Speaker 3: but like it does seem like Buffalo right now is
- 24:44Speaker 3: like our run game is the best thing that we
- 24:46Speaker 3: have going. Yeah, and they in order to settle that
- 24:49Speaker 3: game down, they went to James Cook. They didn't go
- 24:51Speaker 3: to Josh Allen.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it made stay balanced. But I'd also say that
- 24:54Speaker 1: a lot of the key plays were Josh Allen just
- 24:56Speaker 1: doing Josh Allen things with you know, the fourth down throws,
- 24:59Speaker 1: and I mean, you know it's yeah, I think they
- 25:00Speaker 1: just they stay balanced. I don't think they you don't necessarily.
- 25:03Speaker 1: I mean you're right, like they know what their identity is.
- 25:05Speaker 1: And I think that's really hard to do, especially when
- 25:07Speaker 1: you're chasing, and it's i mean, it's something we talk
- 25:10Speaker 1: about with the Patriots sometimes where it's like just staying
- 25:13Speaker 1: balanced enough so that you're you know, staying balanced, you know,
- 25:17Speaker 1: running enough so that you're staying balanced, especially in the
- 25:19Speaker 1: second half. But you know a lot of different ways
- 25:21Speaker 1: you can solve that problem. Just score or be able
- 25:23Speaker 1: to run the ball yourself, or just sustain a possession
- 25:26Speaker 1: for five minutes you know, it's.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Well, that's what I'm counting on this game. I'm counting
- 25:29Speaker 2: on a bounce back game from Drake May. I'm counting
- 25:32Speaker 2: on them putting up, you know, over that twenty whatever
- 25:36Speaker 2: threshold that they need to beat this team.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I do think that there's you know, I
- 25:43Speaker 3: think he'll have opportunities to throw the ball on say night,
- 25:46Speaker 3: because I don't think their pass rush is particularly good,
- 25:49Speaker 3: and in order to get pass rush, they kind of
- 25:51Speaker 3: need to scheme it up and they need to blitz.
- 25:53Speaker 3: So if you're going up against Drake, I think that's
- 25:55Speaker 3: a tough way to live.
- 25:56Speaker 4: Now.
- 25:57Speaker 2: You mentioned it's going to be a little mild. Uh
- 26:00Speaker 2: that's during the day. It is going to be below
- 26:02Speaker 2: freezing at night.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Once against to the night. Yeah yeah, yeah, but that
- 26:07Speaker 3: thing is starting to bug me.
- 26:08Speaker 2: That's okay, okay, the whole playing in the cold thing.
- 26:12Speaker 3: It's such a small sample size, right, Like, can we
- 26:14Speaker 3: give it more than like one or two games?
- 26:16Speaker 2: Are people definitively saying he can or are they wondering.
- 26:20Speaker 3: The people are at the point now where he's a
- 26:22Speaker 3: or we're trending towards bad bad weather.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Quarterback, You've got a refresher timeline. You need a timeline refreshure.
- 26:30Speaker 3: It's not just my timeline. We have people calling into
- 26:32Speaker 3: the show on catch two. Yeah, and like I just
- 26:37Speaker 3: I'm going to kind of like throw out his rookie
- 26:39Speaker 3: season because that teams stunk. Yeah, and so like I'm
- 26:43Speaker 3: not going to hold it against him that he didn't
- 26:45Speaker 3: like they got their doors blown off of them by
- 26:47Speaker 3: the Chargers when it was cold out Like that's that
- 26:49Speaker 3: was one good team versus one bad team.
- 26:51Speaker 7: I would totally agree with that.
- 26:52Speaker 3: So he's really played like one truly cold weather game
- 26:58Speaker 3: and it was last week. So because he played one
- 27:00Speaker 3: bad game against really one bad half against Buffalo. Now
- 27:04Speaker 3: he's a bad cold weather quarterback.
- 27:05Speaker 7: Wasn't he kind of cold in the Giants game?
- 27:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean pretty.
- 27:10Speaker 7: Well in that one.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna need a little bit more of a sample.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Funny what comes out of the woodwork and you lose
- 27:16Speaker 1: one game and all of a sudden.
- 27:17Speaker 7: You and that's a problem.
- 27:19Speaker 1: That's a problem. That's a problem. You're a problem as a.
- 27:22Speaker 5: Need to identify the thing that cost them the victory,
- 27:25Speaker 5: right for Patriots fans is generally the officials, but there
- 27:29Speaker 5: has to be one thing that costs you a game.
- 27:31Speaker 7: It can never be the other team did something.
- 27:33Speaker 1: No, And it's just as extreme on the other end,
- 27:35Speaker 1: when you're in the wind streak and it's like you're awesome,
- 27:37Speaker 1: You're awesome, this is awesome, and I was like, no,
- 27:40Speaker 1: you suck Now, everything's the best. Yeah, it's extreme. I like,
- 27:45Speaker 1: I mean I was upset, like you were Fred in
- 27:47Speaker 1: the postgame show. But I think you know, after you realize,
- 27:49Speaker 1: like what a great season this has been, and they
- 27:51Speaker 1: still have an opportunity to do everything you know that
- 27:53Speaker 1: they wanted to that you expect that they should be
- 27:55Speaker 1: able to at the end of the season. Like, it's
- 27:57Speaker 1: it's hard they I mean, we've said all season long,
- 27:59Speaker 1: they've got a ways to go. We saw this team
- 28:01Speaker 1: in the you know, early on in the season saying
- 28:03Speaker 1: they need some other upgrades of other positions on defense,
- 28:07Speaker 1: especially where you know they're putting guys into stop gaps
- 28:10Speaker 1: right now, And I think that was what was exposed
- 28:12Speaker 1: against a good team. Yeah, nothing's really changed.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Every team has injuries. It's a it's a fact of
- 28:18Speaker 2: life in the NFL. You have to have serviceable depth,
- 28:22Speaker 2: you have to be able to withstand this, you know,
- 28:25Speaker 2: other than your quarterback, you have to be.
- 28:26Speaker 3: I will give them some credit though, I think their
- 28:28Speaker 3: depth has been a little bit better than what we thought.
- 28:31Speaker 3: Like Darien low has been fine. Like he's I had
- 28:34Speaker 3: no problem, but he's not a difference maker, but like
- 28:37Speaker 3: he's been really serviceable. The false start was tough, tough, but.
- 28:43Speaker 1: All start.
- 28:45Speaker 5: But the two games that that those backups played, you know,
- 28:49Speaker 5: statistically or as good as any game they've played all year. Yeah,
- 28:51Speaker 5: I mean some people have said that the two best
- 28:53Speaker 5: games in terms of the pressure rate allowed. But I'm
- 28:56Speaker 5: just going by my my eyeball test. I thought they
- 28:59Speaker 5: were fine.
- 28:59Speaker 3: I thought this is one of the best games they
- 29:01Speaker 3: played against Buffalo. I mean, they ran the ball well
- 29:04Speaker 3: for the whole game, really if they just didn't run
- 29:06Speaker 3: it in the second half. And they protected Drake pretty
- 29:09Speaker 3: well in this game too. So uh, you know, I
- 29:11Speaker 3: think a lot of people if you told him that,
- 29:12Speaker 3: like Venderian Lowe is gonna have to start the last
- 29:14Speaker 3: five games the regular season, they'd be like, look out,
- 29:17Speaker 3: Like oh god. And to his credit, he's been okay.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Some of the comments about him are just outright nasty.
- 29:24Speaker 2: I mean before this game, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 29:26Speaker 3: I mean, he was bad last year, but he's been better.
- 29:28Speaker 3: You know, I think that I don't think that he's
- 29:31Speaker 3: a full time player, but I think Jack Gibbons is
- 29:33Speaker 3: like a serviceable third linebacker. I don't think you want
- 29:36Speaker 3: him out there one hundred percent of the snaps, but
- 29:38Speaker 3: you know, when you have to play him in spots.
- 29:40Speaker 3: I don't think he's a liability to the Chargers.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Wouldn't give right right trading for guards to make tackles,
- 29:46Speaker 1: like you know, it's I mean, I just when you
- 29:50Speaker 1: really heard about how extreme the injury was that he's
- 29:52Speaker 1: playing through last year with you know, on his shoulder,
- 29:54Speaker 1: and people were like, oh, I feel bad now, I'm.
- 29:56Speaker 3: Like, well, what guy was walking around with a harness
- 30:00Speaker 3: older harness on and stuff. Chucky trees not terrible for
- 30:05Speaker 3: the you know, couple of drives that he had to
- 30:07Speaker 3: play against Buffalo. You know, so at least it's been
- 30:11Speaker 3: a little bit better maybe than what we expect. You
- 30:14Speaker 3: Ben Brown, Ben Brown.
- 30:16Speaker 5: You guys have raised good points. I think that they
- 30:18Speaker 5: have gotten some contributions from some of the reserves that
- 30:22Speaker 5: everybody was so worried about.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Should they try to get the wide receivers plural involved
- 30:28Speaker 2: early in this game.
- 30:32Speaker 3: I try I mean, yeah, I would just say, like,
- 30:36Speaker 3: I don't know if we talked about this a lot yesterday,
- 30:38Speaker 3: but I thought it was kind of weird that Pop
- 30:41Speaker 3: Douglas barely played in the game on Sunday, especially because
- 30:44Speaker 3: they're having so much issues with guys getting open in
- 30:46Speaker 3: the second half of that game. Now, I think a
- 30:49Speaker 3: lot of it was because they were like disguising his
- 30:51Speaker 3: own and that's like not really his strength. But he
- 30:54Speaker 3: ran five routes the entire game, and like, when you
- 30:57Speaker 3: can't move the ball on offense and he's your best
- 31:00Speaker 3: a separator, like, did not at least give him some
- 31:03Speaker 3: opportunities to go out there and win some routes was
- 31:06Speaker 3: pretty surprising. I don't know how much you're going to
- 31:08Speaker 3: get out of Holland's booty and digs. Like I think
- 31:13Speaker 3: that those guys they each kind of have their moments
- 31:16Speaker 3: and they each have their games and things like that.
- 31:18Speaker 3: But I don't know if like you can expect much
- 31:21Speaker 3: more from those players. But the Douglas thing did surprise me,
- 31:26Speaker 3: Like I thought that, you know, in the second half,
- 31:28Speaker 3: they maybe they could have used his energy a little bit.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Absolutely always heard that while.
- 31:38Speaker 5: He threw it out there Sunday when there were people
- 31:41Speaker 5: sort of giving Mike a little bit of you like
- 31:44Speaker 5: this f you know, if Spoline wasn't going to play,
- 31:47Speaker 5: why was he dressed? They could address someone and I
- 31:49Speaker 5: was just like, well, who was inactive in the game
- 31:53Speaker 5: that you think would have made a difference in Frank
- 31:55Speaker 5: goes chism.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah it doz ones are always hard because
- 32:02Speaker 3: I don't think they really planned on him playing, but
- 32:05Speaker 3: you could tell in warmups he wasn't right, But then
- 32:07Speaker 3: in actives have already happened, so you there's no choice.
- 32:10Speaker 2: What about this?
- 32:11Speaker 5: Well, I think that they looked at it and said,
- 32:13Speaker 5: if something happens here to Ellis or Gibbons, I need
- 32:18Speaker 5: to He's going to need to play, and hopefully we
- 32:21Speaker 5: won't need him to play. But you weigh that, Okay,
- 32:25Speaker 5: So what would need to have happened to have to,
- 32:28Speaker 5: you know, press Marcus Bryant into play? You know, so
- 32:32Speaker 5: now two of your tackles need to get hurt for
- 32:36Speaker 5: you to need another tackle, right, because you know they
- 32:40Speaker 5: had obviosusally Monfort it was had a role, a big
- 32:44Speaker 5: role in the game. Yeah, you know, so, Eric Gregory
- 32:48Speaker 5: I think was one of the inactives. Chisholm. I mean,
- 32:51Speaker 5: you're down six, you know. I think they weighed and
- 32:55Speaker 5: they looked at it. We have a better chance of
- 32:58Speaker 5: one guy getting banged up at linebacker, a very physical position,
- 33:02Speaker 5: than needing a third, you know, extra tackle.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Yeah, to that point, they sign Chad Muma off of
- 33:09Speaker 1: the practice squad in Indie. I don't know if that
- 33:12Speaker 1: signals splaying is going to be a long term thing.
- 33:15Speaker 1: We weren't quite look at what we got Eli. I mean,
- 33:19Speaker 1: it's definitely not a great sign But is it about
- 33:22Speaker 1: the guys who were playing, or is it about we're
- 33:25Speaker 1: protecting those guys because they're going to have to continue
- 33:27Speaker 1: to play more if one of them gets hurt, we
- 33:29Speaker 1: need to have, you know, another NFL experienced player.
- 33:32Speaker 3: But really, I'm able to pointed to the linebacker debth
- 33:35Speaker 3: like he admitted on Monday that they don't have a
- 33:37Speaker 3: lot of depth.
- 33:39Speaker 7: Specifically, it's probably one of the thinner positions. I don't
- 33:42Speaker 7: know exactly the wording, but.
- 33:44Speaker 3: I do wonder if I didn't. I don't know off
- 33:47Speaker 3: the top of my head, but Ellis and Jack Gibbons
- 33:49Speaker 3: usually have large roles on special teams as well as defense.
- 33:53Speaker 3: So I do wonder if maybe can play in the
- 33:57Speaker 3: kicking game and that would take Ellis out of the
- 33:59Speaker 3: kicking game, and then that would allow Ellis to just
- 34:02Speaker 3: focus on playing on defense.
- 34:04Speaker 1: That's a good observation too.
- 34:06Speaker 5: Yeah, you know you had a tough day in kick coverage.
- 34:09Speaker 5: Is that because just the guys that are on the
- 34:11Speaker 5: kick coverage team had to play more snaps on defense?
- 34:13Speaker 7: That's a very fair question.
- 34:15Speaker 2: Do you think, going back to the Bills, if all
- 34:18Speaker 2: the other things that happened that were negative got cleaned up,
- 34:24Speaker 2: but they still weren't able to stop the run, do
- 34:27Speaker 2: you think they could have won that game?
- 34:28Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 34:29Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, So those other things seem fixable.
- 34:34Speaker 1: I mean, I think that there's a baseline of solid
- 34:36Speaker 1: that they could get to with the current personnel that
- 34:38Speaker 1: they have. Yes, And I just I'd point back to
- 34:40Speaker 1: pulse thing. I mean, to me, it's about Drake and
- 34:42Speaker 1: the offense and right they got to score points in
- 34:43Speaker 1: the second half.
- 34:44Speaker 5: That would be my Like, that's the worst, probably the
- 34:48Speaker 5: worst half of football they've played. I mean, you know, offensively,
- 34:52Speaker 5: eighteen snaps, Like, I think that's fixable. I think you
- 34:55Speaker 5: can be better offensively than that.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Better be better kickoff coverage than that.
- 34:59Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm saying, like, all you had to do was
- 35:03Speaker 5: move the ball a little bit, a little bit. They
- 35:05Speaker 5: didn't have to light out the school board in the
- 35:06Speaker 5: second half. Obviously, that would have been great if you
- 35:08Speaker 5: could have put another seventeen on the board in the
- 35:10Speaker 5: second half. But if you just possessed the ball for
- 35:14Speaker 5: five minutes in a chunk, yeah, you take the other
- 35:16Speaker 5: team's will.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:17Speaker 5: You know they're looking up at the clock and there
- 35:19Speaker 5: are not enough possessions left here.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Then they start having to throw right.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Yeah, right, just looking at the linebacker snaps. So Jack
- 35:25Speaker 3: Gibbons played seventy snaps one hundred percent of the snaps
- 35:28Speaker 3: on defense. He also played nineteen snaps on special teams.
- 35:32Speaker 3: So he played eighty nine snaps in the game.
- 35:36Speaker 1: And then there you go.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Ellis had sixty on defense and eight on special teams.
- 35:41Speaker 3: So the Muma thing to me is like, let's try
- 35:43Speaker 3: to get those guys.
- 35:44Speaker 7: Plug him into one of those coverage unions, yeah, and.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Try to get Jack Gibbons off as many special teams
- 35:50Speaker 3: more than Ellis. He did. He played every snap because
- 35:53Speaker 3: he wore there has.
- 35:54Speaker 7: Been playing more than elus for a while.
- 35:56Speaker 3: He also wore the green dot, so that's probably why
- 35:58Speaker 3: he was playing.
- 35:59Speaker 7: It's a great point called the defense, all right, that's
- 36:01Speaker 7: why we.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Have him, all right, So let's get people involved unless
- 36:05Speaker 2: there's other things that we need to bring up.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Any talk about the thing. Yeah, that's crazy? Is benching?
- 36:11Speaker 2: That is wild?
- 36:12Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 36:13Speaker 1: So what does that mean? Paul? Explain this to me?
- 36:14Speaker 3: Yeah, Paul, you're good.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Are they even this guy a shot?
- 36:18Speaker 1: Are they done with tour? They just like, what's the
- 36:19Speaker 1: point where let's get him rested up and get them
- 36:21Speaker 1: ready for next year? Like, what what does this mean?
- 36:23Speaker 7: I think it's A and B. It's not C.
- 36:26Speaker 5: I think they're done with Tua. Let's give someone else
- 36:29Speaker 5: a shot. Let's make sure he doesn't get hurt, because
- 36:31Speaker 5: we're gonna get rid of him.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Yeah, you know.
- 36:33Speaker 7: If we can't.
- 36:34Speaker 5: Now, the money situation is is messy. But if the
- 36:39Speaker 5: Broncos could do what they did with Russell Wilson, then yeah,
- 36:43Speaker 5: certainly Miami. The question for me with Miami will be
- 36:46Speaker 5: is this a package deal? Is everybody gone or is
- 36:49Speaker 5: this McDaniel winning out? Because clearly McDaniel's done with Tua. Yeah,
- 36:54Speaker 5: I didn't watch the game at all the other night,
- 36:56Speaker 5: but evidently there was some really weird things going on
- 36:59Speaker 5: to his body language was time outs and stuff like
- 37:02Speaker 5: j well that's what Waddle was kind of like, looking
- 37:04Speaker 5: like dude, what are you doing?
- 37:05Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 37:06Speaker 1: And I even think that the approach I saw a
- 37:07Speaker 1: lot of criticism of like, are you guys trying to
- 37:09Speaker 1: win the game? You're trying to run the clock out?
- 37:11Speaker 1: Like what are you doing? Like it just didn't seem
- 37:12Speaker 1: like they had There was one moment did you watch
- 37:14Speaker 1: the game? I watched the first half. Did you see
- 37:16Speaker 1: the part.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Where it was two on the bench and it looked
- 37:19Speaker 2: like he was looking right at the camera for like
- 37:21Speaker 2: an extended period of time.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Did you say that?
- 37:24Speaker 4: Did he get hit?
- 37:25Speaker 2: And it was really weird?
- 37:27Speaker 7: And I'm asking dead seriously.
- 37:28Speaker 2: I mean not that I saw, not like maybe he
- 37:31Speaker 2: was dealing with So yeah, yeah, it is history.
- 37:34Speaker 7: It's a fair question.
- 37:35Speaker 3: So I brought this to Barth, but maybe I didn't
- 37:38Speaker 3: explain it very well. To me. It's kind of weird
- 37:42Speaker 3: that you would let Mike McDaniel bench to a right
- 37:45Speaker 3: if Mike McDaniel is also out right you like.
- 37:49Speaker 5: Like why you understand what I'm saying, Like, if Mike
- 37:53Speaker 5: McDaniel is benching your star quarterback that's getting paid fifty
- 37:57Speaker 5: six million dollars, Like, that's a pretty big organizational decision
- 38:01Speaker 5: for a lame duck coach to be making.
- 38:03Speaker 3: So unless he's hurt, and we just don't know yet
- 38:06Speaker 3: that he's hurt, like a performance bace for him, right, Yeah,
- 38:12Speaker 3: like a performance based benching is is burning a bridge.
- 38:15Speaker 3: In my opinion, it's pro sports, like you do that
- 38:17Speaker 3: to a quarterback of to his like you know, name recognition,
- 38:22Speaker 3: like I don't know how to do him and Mike
- 38:24Speaker 3: McDaniel come back from that. And so if Mike McDaniel
- 38:27Speaker 3: is going to be the coaster next year, then how
- 38:28Speaker 3: the hell is to us much?
- 38:30Speaker 5: I'm not telling you there's no chance, but I don't
- 38:32Speaker 5: think there's much of a chance of that happening both
- 38:34Speaker 5: of them coming back.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Yeah, So it's either both are gone or to his.
- 38:38Speaker 1: God rid of Jude on to Tyreek Hill would have
- 38:41Speaker 1: a cryptic post on social media, just a meme of
- 38:44Speaker 1: like two people and then one just disappears, I think,
- 38:47Speaker 1: retweeting that they were benching to us. So I don't
- 38:49Speaker 1: know what that means get into Tyreek's health attact.
- 38:54Speaker 7: I think they're gonna work.
- 38:55Speaker 5: Listen, the whole like second act for quarterback thing I
- 38:58Speaker 5: think is pretty and I think a lot of teams
- 39:02Speaker 5: now are looking hard.
- 39:03Speaker 4: You know.
- 39:03Speaker 5: I read something on ESPN dot com today about, you know,
- 39:09Speaker 5: Mac Jones. You know, does he's under contract for San
- 39:13Speaker 5: Francisco very small money? Did Kyle Shanahan do it again?
- 39:18Speaker 5: Did he resurrect another career because he played pretty well?
- 39:21Speaker 5: I you know, I'm listen. I'm as critical of Mac
- 39:23Speaker 5: Jones as anybody, but I would tell you he played
- 39:25Speaker 5: pretty well in in place of property. You know, does
- 39:29Speaker 5: someone you know, Arizona, the Jets, Miami, do one of
- 39:35Speaker 5: these teams look at Mac Jones and say, maybe he
- 39:38Speaker 5: can be our Sam Darnold and his second act might
- 39:41Speaker 5: be able to do something for us, you know, while
- 39:43Speaker 5: we figure out how we're going to.
- 39:46Speaker 7: Get the next quarterback.
- 39:47Speaker 1: That's a tough one.
- 39:48Speaker 7: It is a very tough one.
- 39:49Speaker 4: Mac.
- 39:50Speaker 5: I agree, yeah, because I was trying to think about
- 39:52Speaker 5: May Yeah, you.
- 39:54Speaker 7: Know in Arizona, is he going to go somewhere?
- 39:56Speaker 3: I was trying to think of, like where too it
- 39:58Speaker 3: would make sense, and like he kind of has to
- 40:01Speaker 3: be in that kind of offense. It's like a timing base,
- 40:04Speaker 3: like get the ball out quick, you know, hit yack
- 40:06Speaker 3: receivers like that sort of got to be the offense.
- 40:09Speaker 3: And like there aren't a ton of options because a
- 40:12Speaker 3: lot of those teams, like unless party's going like they
- 40:15Speaker 3: a lot of those teams have quarterbacks that you know
- 40:17Speaker 3: they're they're running with at this point. So you know,
- 40:20Speaker 3: like you have Green Bay, you have you know, San Francisco,
- 40:24Speaker 3: you have La with the Rams, like those are the
- 40:26Speaker 3: that's the offense, that's the tree. But all those teams
- 40:29Speaker 3: kind of have established quarterbacks, like already there Minnesota, if
- 40:34Speaker 3: they're good, are they giving up on nine?
- 40:36Speaker 4: Is he?
- 40:36Speaker 3: Is he done already? It's a good one.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a good one.
- 40:40Speaker 5: On that well, I mean he's played better, I would
- 40:45Speaker 5: say the last two games. And I don't think that
- 40:48Speaker 5: you can completely pull the plug. But I'm also not
- 40:50Speaker 5: saying they ain't gonna pull the plug. I think they
- 40:52Speaker 5: I think they wanted to have one of those two
- 40:55Speaker 5: guys stay last year. I think they wanted to have
- 40:58Speaker 5: Donald or Jones stay in both of them, I think
- 41:00Speaker 5: correctly said I'm not staying I'm gonna go and try
- 41:03Speaker 5: to be a starter somewhere, right.
- 41:05Speaker 1: I still just feel like two is one hit away,
- 41:07Speaker 1: and that's it's hard to take a second chance on him.
- 41:10Speaker 1: Or I mean even Kyler Murray too. You know what,
- 41:13Speaker 1: Donald has the size and I mean we had concussions too,
- 41:16Speaker 1: But those guys are always going to get beat up,
- 41:18Speaker 1: it seems like. And that interception that two of three
- 41:20Speaker 1: the other night, I mean I was like, oh my god,
- 41:24Speaker 1: this is not you know, we're used to that.
- 41:26Speaker 7: I miss quite an eventful game.
- 41:28Speaker 2: You talk about what you miss.
- 41:31Speaker 3: I mean, I just I don't know where Miami goes
- 41:35Speaker 3: from here and their division team. So it's you know,
- 41:37Speaker 3: at least somewhat irrelevant to the Patriots because they won
- 41:41Speaker 3: some games. So they're not going to be picking in
- 41:43Speaker 3: the top five, like, so they're not going to be
- 41:46Speaker 3: in the like Mendoza, you know, that sort of sweepstakes necessarily,
- 41:50Speaker 3: it's not a great quarterback class, Like do they reclamation
- 41:55Speaker 3: projected for a year? And see, I guess maybe, but
- 41:58Speaker 3: like the two of things over like, so that's why I.
- 42:00Speaker 7: Would say queen Ewers, Yeah, oh god, I know what
- 42:04Speaker 7: you think of qu Ewers. I'm not going to try.
- 42:07Speaker 5: I'm not going to trigger you, but let him play
- 42:09Speaker 5: three games and see what it looks like, and then
- 42:12Speaker 5: you can sort of say, okay, do I need to
- 42:13Speaker 5: get really aggressive in the draft to try to move
- 42:15Speaker 5: up to get I don't know, Drew Aller or someone
- 42:18Speaker 5: you know, or do I just look at it, like
- 42:20Speaker 5: Evan just said, like, you know, this isn't a great class,
- 42:22Speaker 5: let's not force it. If he's got to be our quarterback,
- 42:25Speaker 5: if we can get one of the you know, could
- 42:28Speaker 5: they go with Kyler Murray, could they get one of
- 42:30Speaker 5: the second act quarterbacks and just say, well, he's going
- 42:32Speaker 5: to be the placeholder. You know, we got this young
- 42:36Speaker 5: guy that we don't we don't think he's that good,
- 42:39Speaker 5: but let him play three games.
- 42:40Speaker 7: Who knows what happens.
- 42:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I would say that the reclamation project is probably
- 42:44Speaker 3: where it's headed. Some people like the kid from Oregon
- 42:48Speaker 3: quarterback in the draft. You know, a lot of the
- 42:50Speaker 3: arch went back, Leonora Sellers.
- 42:53Speaker 7: Went back, just going back.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, Mendoz is awesome, but he's going to
- 42:58Speaker 3: probably go number one overall and there not going to
- 43:00Speaker 3: have that.
- 43:00Speaker 7: Pick son be around from Miami.
- 43:02Speaker 3: Yeah, like it's not a it's not a Drake Maye
- 43:05Speaker 3: Jade and Daniels Caleb Williams situation where there's you know,
- 43:08Speaker 3: a bunch of great quarterbacks in the draft.
- 43:10Speaker 1: How can Mike McDaniel be the last man standing of
- 43:12Speaker 1: Chris Career and Tua and maybe Tyreek And you know,
- 43:16Speaker 1: like that's interesting to me, especially what he done.
- 43:20Speaker 5: And I think I told you guys this story earlier
- 43:22Speaker 5: in the year that you know, I had some people
- 43:24Speaker 5: talking to me about the way, you know, the problems
- 43:27Speaker 5: in Miami. It's not because they don't think McDaniel knows
- 43:30Speaker 5: what he's doing. They think he's a pretty good coach,
- 43:32Speaker 5: but they think he's too easy on the players, and
- 43:35Speaker 5: it's almost like he's just the head coach of the offense.
- 43:38Speaker 5: He's one of those situations. Yeah, And I guess with
- 43:41Speaker 5: some of the static that that's been created because Anthony
- 43:44Speaker 5: Weaver is you know, he's an actual football coach, and
- 43:47Speaker 5: he treats the defense, you know, like men, and like
- 43:50Speaker 5: they practice and like they'll be like a random Thursday
- 43:53Speaker 5: and Daniel will be like, oh.
- 43:55Speaker 7: Okay, you guys have done enough, go home.
- 43:56Speaker 5: And now the defense is working their asses off and
- 43:58Speaker 5: the offense gets to go home.
- 44:00Speaker 7: You can't do that.
- 44:01Speaker 3: I think they have like summer fridays on the like
- 44:03Speaker 3: on the offense where it's like they all get to
- 44:06Speaker 3: leave at three for like mental health and family purposes,
- 44:09Speaker 3: and which is like a nice idea, but it's like
- 44:11Speaker 3: professional football, like you gotta.
- 44:13Speaker 5: And Weaver is like, no, we're not, we can't do that.
- 44:16Speaker 5: We're not ready, you know what It's like. It's not
- 44:18Speaker 5: like McDaniel only does it for the offense. He wants
- 44:20Speaker 5: everybody to do it. But Weavers like, we're not prepared
- 44:23Speaker 5: for the game yet. We need to practice more. Yeah,
- 44:26Speaker 5: and the and the defense gets sort of you know,
- 44:28Speaker 5: it's that obvious rift they get.
- 44:30Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 44:31Speaker 3: I think it's always harder with the guys like well
- 44:33Speaker 3: McDaniel because he's such a good coordinator on the offensive
- 44:36Speaker 3: side of the ball that like you're not going to
- 44:38Speaker 3: do better in terms of scheme than him. But he
- 44:41Speaker 3: just might not be.
- 44:43Speaker 7: It might not be a head coach. He'd be one
- 44:44Speaker 7: of those guys.
- 44:45Speaker 5: And I know it's rare, but like, find a head
- 44:48Speaker 5: coach and then retain him as your offensive coordinator. And
- 44:51Speaker 5: I don't think that would be the worst thing. And
- 44:53Speaker 5: look advance Joseph has been doing in Denver.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you know you can go home again.
- 44:59Speaker 5: You know everybody was would be like automatically like, but
- 45:01Speaker 5: that doesn't the time.
- 45:03Speaker 7: You can't fire the guy and you know then keep.
- 45:06Speaker 5: Them well somebody, some some teams do it. Virginia Tech
- 45:08Speaker 5: is doing it in college. They fired the head coach
- 45:11Speaker 5: and he stay. He's staying with Franklin as his coordinator.
- 45:16Speaker 5: Uh spiing Fresno get which side of the ball. So
- 45:18Speaker 5: that's why I just said, going back.
- 45:20Speaker 2: To the Patriots. Uh Spian Fresno says, Drake had the
- 45:23Speaker 2: ball in his hands with two minutes to go in
- 45:24Speaker 2: a one score game for the division and then completely
- 45:27Speaker 2: fizzled and two consecutive pathetic, pathetic looking passing plays. Does
- 45:31Speaker 2: it have you concern? I'm not asking for two minute Tom,
- 45:34Speaker 2: but so far in clutch, big game comeback situations, we
- 45:38Speaker 2: have to call Drake oh and one. The truth is
- 45:40Speaker 2: never mean.
- 45:41Speaker 3: One in one because he beat the Bills in week five.
- 45:50Speaker 5: Really, just like I put this in the weather category,
- 45:54Speaker 5: like I need to see a little more before I
- 45:56Speaker 5: decide that a guy fails in those situations.
- 46:00Speaker 2: Yeah, right, Existantly, give me a couple.
- 46:02Speaker 3: I'm with you. I think that some of this kind
- 46:05Speaker 3: of does stem from the fact though, that this was
- 46:07Speaker 3: sort of his mL at North Carolina also, and I'm
- 46:11Speaker 3: not ignoring it, Yeah, And I think that that's where
- 46:15Speaker 3: the sample is growing, is that at North Carolina he
- 46:18Speaker 3: was undeniably talented and they didn't win a whole lot,
- 46:23Speaker 3: and it was like kind of one of those weird
- 46:25Speaker 3: situations of like, how does this guy play so well
- 46:29Speaker 3: in these games? And we look up at the scoreboard
- 46:31Speaker 3: and we're down by ten points in the fourth quarter,
- 46:33Speaker 3: Like how does this keep happening? Now seems like Rabel
- 46:36Speaker 3: and McDaniels have corrected that aspect of they're eleven and three,
- 46:40Speaker 3: But you know those big games NC State, you know,
- 46:43Speaker 3: end of the year, you know, rivalry games, like I
- 46:46Speaker 3: think he'd beat Duke his uh sophomore season, his first
- 46:51Speaker 3: season as the starter, they beat Duke. And that's like
- 46:53Speaker 3: his signature win at North Carolina was beating Duke. So
- 46:59Speaker 3: I get it.
- 46:59Speaker 1: It's something to watch all these last four games. I mean,
- 47:01Speaker 1: I've said it a few times now. I look at
- 47:02Speaker 1: before the buys its own preseason kind of thing, and
- 47:05Speaker 1: you know, now, let's judge him in these games. I mean,
- 47:08Speaker 1: maybe not so much against the Jets, but you know this,
- 47:11Speaker 1: this game in Baltimore is another opportunity for him, and
- 47:13Speaker 1: then they're probably going to the playoffs too, so but
- 47:17Speaker 1: you got to break the trend at some point.
- 47:19Speaker 2: Joe and Michigan ten wins and a loss and McDaniels
- 47:22Speaker 2: can't call plays a top five D and scoring can't
- 47:24Speaker 2: do their job anymore, May can't play in weather, Buffalo
- 47:27Speaker 2: d becomes a new coming of the Dita Bears. Really,
- 47:31Speaker 2: I am exaggerating, but so does the Boston media, nauseating
- 47:34Speaker 2: Tom Curran and the rest who are sensationalizing. I haven't listened.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Is he sensationalizing?
- 47:40Speaker 3: I don't know. I heard, and I don't know if
- 47:42Speaker 3: this was Tom. I heard some chatter yesterday about mcdaniels's
- 47:49Speaker 3: longevity as Mike Rable's offensive coordinator, and this goes back
- 47:53Speaker 3: like this is not new, like the ten game winning
- 47:56Speaker 3: streat kind of put it on the back burner. But
- 47:58Speaker 3: in September this was a conversation as well, and now
- 48:00Speaker 3: they lost the game, so it's coming back up.
- 48:02Speaker 7: But I don't think it's performance based.
- 48:06Speaker 5: I think it's personality based that whole thing that was
- 48:09Speaker 5: big earlier in the year, that like, is this the
- 48:11Speaker 5: guy that Rabel really wanted? That's what people in this
- 48:16Speaker 5: particular one that I think the reason why it bubbled
- 48:18Speaker 5: back up is from Mike's appearance in this studio on
- 48:22Speaker 5: EI on Monday when he goes, I mean like, there's
- 48:24Speaker 5: only so many double passages you can run for thirteen yards,
- 48:27Speaker 5: you know like that, those kinds of comments, I think
- 48:29Speaker 5: some people an I know, but I wasn't on the air, Mike.
- 48:34Speaker 5: I say this all the time. Sometimes you say things
- 48:36Speaker 5: off for.
- 48:36Speaker 1: You that I meant to be off where the line is, uh.
- 48:39Speaker 5: I can say it with the head coach saying I
- 48:41Speaker 5: remember off as kind of snark.
- 48:43Speaker 3: I remember earlier in the season he Rabel said that
- 48:46Speaker 3: he was going to regret doing EI first thing in
- 48:49Speaker 3: the morning of the day after games, and I think
- 48:51Speaker 3: this one on Monday might be in that.
- 48:54Speaker 7: So you know what I'm talking.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Yeah, that couple of officials.
- 48:59Speaker 1: Are people implying that Mike Rabele would fire Josh McDaniels
- 49:02Speaker 1: after this season.
- 49:03Speaker 7: No, I don't think we.
- 49:04Speaker 3: I don't think we've gotten that far. But I think
- 49:08Speaker 3: I think Paul's shows have been big on what Paul
- 49:12Speaker 3: just said.
- 49:12Speaker 5: And they're definitely hammering it because I can tell you
- 49:15Speaker 5: the pre show emails are about that.
- 49:17Speaker 3: Is it an arranged marriage between McDaniels.
- 49:20Speaker 1: So even if he didn't want any he's worked out,
- 49:22Speaker 1: but he would so how like and you get rid
- 49:26Speaker 1: of Josh McDaniels and you bring in the flavor of
- 49:28Speaker 1: the month thinks he's the offensive coordinator and Drake regresses
- 49:30Speaker 1: and the offense Isn't they take this magical?
- 49:33Speaker 3: This is notation? Yeah, this is not logical.
- 49:38Speaker 7: You're not logic to that.
- 49:40Speaker 3: This is don this is crazy crazy.
- 49:43Speaker 5: It's one of those things if you're just going off
- 49:45Speaker 5: of the performance. I don't there's no need to even
- 49:47Speaker 5: discuss this. Yeah, they've had a second year quarterback who's
- 49:51Speaker 5: played at an m VP level for fourteen games. Like,
- 49:55Speaker 5: we're not discussing this. The question is none of us
- 49:59Speaker 5: has the answer to it. Does Rabel really want him?
- 50:03Speaker 5: And if that's the case, I don't think that he
- 50:05Speaker 5: would fire him. I don't think that there's any chance
- 50:07Speaker 5: of that. But would Josh recognize that I'm not really wanted?
- 50:14Speaker 5: He didn't really want me? And he makes it clear
- 50:17Speaker 5: at every stop that he doesn't really want me and
- 50:19Speaker 5: he just goes somewhere else.
- 50:21Speaker 7: That would be my only concern. I don't think that's
- 50:23Speaker 7: going to happen.
- 50:23Speaker 5: I think he'll be here as the offensive coordinator next year,
- 50:26Speaker 5: and I think he's done a remarkably good job.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Do you think there's generally, though, always a little bit
- 50:31Speaker 1: of tention when you have a defensive head coach who
- 50:33Speaker 1: like Mike Brabel, who is a defensive guy, and like,
- 50:36Speaker 1: you know how defensive guys talk about the offense, like
- 50:39Speaker 1: not that they don't respect them, but there's always that like, oh,
- 50:42Speaker 1: the pretty boys on offense kind of thing.
- 50:43Speaker 4: You know.
- 50:44Speaker 7: We used to say Bill hates quarterback.
- 50:46Speaker 1: Yeah right right, well the same thing.
- 50:48Speaker 2: You know, people have noticed that in these postgame things,
- 50:51Speaker 2: he's yet to give Drake may a ball.
- 50:53Speaker 4: You know.
- 50:53Speaker 2: It's like, so, I don't know, maybe that's just his
- 50:57Speaker 2: way of coaching the offense.
- 50:59Speaker 3: He's going to get one of those like the offense,
- 51:01Speaker 3: it's dipsy, dude, we're in the lab, then we're cooking
- 51:05Speaker 3: the defensive guys like Mike McDaniel's like somebody you.
- 51:07Speaker 5: Know, and I'll say, if we want to like so,
- 51:11Speaker 5: and I didn't see the entirety of like the transcript
- 51:14Speaker 5: of what he said or Ei I saw like everybody else.
- 51:16Speaker 7: I'm listening to these clips, these bites.
- 51:20Speaker 10: And that.
- 51:21Speaker 7: So how unfair would it be if you.
- 51:24Speaker 5: Looked at that and said, well, I mean, there's only
- 51:26Speaker 5: so many double passes you can run for thirteen yards?
- 51:29Speaker 5: Like really might so the first half offensive performance, that
- 51:33Speaker 5: was your takeaway, a meaningless double pass that the crowd.
- 51:36Speaker 2: May have went, he got ten yards on it.
- 51:39Speaker 5: But how about like the two quarterback design runs in
- 51:42Speaker 5: the red zone, how about the thirty yard bomb down
- 51:44Speaker 5: the sideline to Booty. How about the fifty two yard
- 51:47Speaker 5: run which couldn't have been designed, executed and run any
- 51:51Speaker 5: better from an efficiency standpoint. Offensively, I would venture to
- 51:55Speaker 5: say that all eleven guys were perfect on that play. Like,
- 51:58Speaker 5: how about that if you're going to talk about the
- 52:00Speaker 5: offensive performance and not like a semi meaning was trick
- 52:05Speaker 5: play that you know obviously you're dialing up looking for
- 52:07Speaker 5: a big play. It wasn't there when he checked it down.
- 52:10Speaker 1: Yeah, do you know what I mean?
- 52:11Speaker 5: And I'm not suggesting that Mike was. I just think
- 52:14Speaker 5: sometimes yeah, well, get a little bit ahead of you
- 52:17Speaker 5: over your skis, and I think Evan's right. Sometimes maybe
- 52:19Speaker 5: you shouldn't do those first things.
- 52:21Speaker 11: Right.
- 52:21Speaker 1: Well, this is veriable style, right, and like Bill would,
- 52:24Speaker 1: Bill would never you know, blame positive anything. You know,
- 52:27Speaker 1: it was all just it could be better. But I
- 52:30Speaker 1: think veriable sometimes this is how he is.
- 52:32Speaker 5: You know, ahead, you'll do what Bill would do. Bill
- 52:35Speaker 5: would do the same message, just in this way. Yeah,
- 52:39Speaker 5: but I run fifty two yards? That's pretty you know what,
- 52:44Speaker 5: you know what's unsaid.
- 52:47Speaker 7: You know what's unseating?
- 52:48Speaker 10: Yea.
- 52:49Speaker 7: How hard is it to call that?
- 52:51Speaker 5: He wouldn't have said that, but that's the tone he would.
- 52:54Speaker 5: How hard is it to run?
- 52:55Speaker 3: When he went on touch for fifty two yards? I
- 52:57Speaker 3: mean anybody could have done that.
- 52:59Speaker 7: Quarterback didn't open heart surgeon.
- 53:01Speaker 5: Yeah, these are the things that you said. He's disdaining
- 53:04Speaker 5: for offense was obvious for anybody who was listening.
- 53:06Speaker 3: Yeahs Also the top five scoring defense thing, right, we
- 53:12Speaker 3: all know that this defense ain't top five all right?
- 53:15Speaker 7: Currently top five?
- 53:16Speaker 3: I don't know if there's still top five after last week.
- 53:18Speaker 2: I think five five Pats, five hundred Dans in New Jersey?
- 53:21Speaker 2: What's up Dan?
- 53:24Speaker 4: Hey?
- 53:24Speaker 3: Guys?
- 53:25Speaker 10: So you know, regardless of what happens on Sunday, and
- 53:28Speaker 10: I've kind of you know, I was thinking we gotta win,
- 53:31Speaker 10: but now I'm not so sure because what do we
- 53:34Speaker 10: have to get. Let's say we lose and we have
- 53:36Speaker 10: to beat Gosh, Brady Cook and Zach Wilson back to back.
- 53:41Speaker 7: Quin yours.
- 53:43Speaker 3: Yeah, so your point stands.
- 53:44Speaker 2: No, No, I just I just want to win.
- 53:46Speaker 7: Jets Dolphins. They have to win. To me, we don't
- 53:49Speaker 7: lose Sunday. They have to beat the Jets and the Dolphins.
- 53:51Speaker 2: I want, I want a quality win. This would be
- 53:53Speaker 2: a quality.
- 53:54Speaker 3: Win and it would clinch a playoffs spot, which is
- 53:56Speaker 3: not the division, but it's Sunday night football. You win
- 53:59Speaker 3: against a good team.
- 54:01Speaker 7: Everyone.
- 54:03Speaker 2: I want to be two and two coming out of
- 54:05Speaker 2: the by you know.
- 54:07Speaker 1: Yeah, that's fair, that's fair. I think all of those
- 54:09Speaker 1: points and even the two wins. Are you a Jets
- 54:12Speaker 1: team that is completely crumbling?
- 54:14Speaker 3: And Miami, Yeah, they beat the Jagtars with an interim headcut.
- 54:20Speaker 2: I don't want to I don't want to tiptoe to
- 54:21Speaker 2: the playoffs. I want to sprint.
- 54:23Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean that said. I'm sorry, I'll let them finish.
- 54:26Speaker 10: But yeah, yeah, I just had a question if if so,
- 54:29Speaker 10: coming off a tough loss like that, and of course
- 54:32Speaker 10: they could always lose in the wild cards for any
- 54:35Speaker 10: any gives a number of reasons enumerated, you know, the
- 54:40Speaker 10: run stop and second half office, But coming off that loss,
- 54:45Speaker 10: would you rather face the Bills again, even with all
- 54:48Speaker 10: their playoff experience and Josh Allen or roll the dice
- 54:51Speaker 10: with an unproved commodity, like you know, even on the
- 54:54Speaker 10: road like then like cool, like like the Broncos.
- 54:59Speaker 1: Bronco Broncos.
- 55:01Speaker 5: The Broncos are going to have a number, are going
- 55:03Speaker 5: to have is going to be the number one seed,
- 55:05Speaker 5: but good reaction and at least they but at least
- 55:09Speaker 5: they played in the playoffs last year. I mean, all
- 55:11Speaker 5: the teams that you're going to face have more playoff experience,
- 55:15Speaker 5: like recently, like even the Chargers in Houston. Houston's got
- 55:19Speaker 5: a lot. Yeah, you know, Jacksonville maybe is you know
- 55:24Speaker 5: they they played two years ago, right.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Two or three? Trevor has played one playoff.
- 55:31Speaker 5: One one and then.
- 55:32Speaker 7: They lost the next one. Yeah in Kansas City, where
- 55:36Speaker 7: playoff teams go to die.
- 55:37Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I keep hearing that you don't want to
- 55:40Speaker 3: play Houston everybody's terrified of Houston now.
- 55:43Speaker 7: So yeah, I'm not terrified of anybody, but Houston would.
- 55:47Speaker 3: Thanks Dan, you're going to You're gonna have to play
- 55:50Speaker 3: somebody the game.
- 55:53Speaker 2: I just want to get to the playoffs, and whoever
- 55:56Speaker 2: we face, we face. If we're not a better team,
- 55:58Speaker 2: then yeah, that's it.
- 56:01Speaker 3: Like, I get what you're saying about the Chargers because
- 56:03Speaker 3: they're so decimated, but like, if they made the playoffs,
- 56:05Speaker 3: the team that you're playing is going to be pretty good, like.
- 56:08Speaker 2: At the time, like, no question about it.
- 56:10Speaker 3: Well, and this this year because you're not going to
- 56:12Speaker 3: play Pittsburgh, so.
- 56:14Speaker 7: You can't play at Pittsburgh.
- 56:15Speaker 5: That's the only team that but that's the only non
- 56:18Speaker 5: playoff caliber team too.
- 56:20Speaker 3: The only way that you play a team that might
- 56:22Speaker 3: be lesser than is if Philip Rivers somehow gets the
- 56:24Speaker 3: Colts into the playoffs, which he's not going to, so
- 56:27Speaker 3: unless the quarterback gets hurt, you know, late in the
- 56:30Speaker 3: year at some point.
- 56:31Speaker 5: The Chargers, you know, when we've been talking about how
- 56:33Speaker 5: decimated they are, but look at what they've done the
- 56:35Speaker 5: last two games.
- 56:36Speaker 3: Well, Herbert's just awesome.
- 56:37Speaker 5: But they they took care of Philadelphia and then they
- 56:40Speaker 5: took care of Kansas City. And you say what you
- 56:42Speaker 5: will about how damaged Kansas City is. To be the
- 56:45Speaker 5: one that actually put the knife in the heart and
- 56:47Speaker 5: ended it, that's not an easy win at Kansas City.
- 56:50Speaker 5: They had to beat them. They're the ones that had
- 56:52Speaker 5: to knock them out well, and they did it.
- 56:54Speaker 3: According to Chris Jones, he didn't know that they were
- 56:56Speaker 3: eliminated from the playoffs.
- 56:57Speaker 1: Ye, sorry about that. We can't know over it's over.
- 57:01Speaker 3: Yeah, that was crazy, like they had to like there's
- 57:03Speaker 3: he didn't know, get on the playoff fishing machine.
- 57:06Speaker 2: Just one game at a time, eld in North Carolina.
- 57:09Speaker 3: It's fun, isn't it?
- 57:10Speaker 9: Hey, great fellas, how y'all doing? Yeah? Two things? Uh
- 57:17Speaker 9: that is going around about Rabel against McDaniels. And I'm
- 57:21Speaker 9: a McDaniels guy too, but m daniels de litt his
- 57:24Speaker 9: offense and excuse me, uh, Rabel's defense just stopped him
- 57:29Speaker 9: five times they got in in his zone. He got
- 57:31Speaker 9: a gripe. He should grape himself, you know what I mean?
- 57:34Speaker 9: Because you live a score of five touchdown, not five
- 57:36Speaker 9: field goals, five touchdown.
- 57:38Speaker 5: Yeah, And I would say that Rabel was pretty critical
- 57:41Speaker 5: of the defense in the post game in fairness, I.
- 57:44Speaker 9: Mean not on the radio.
- 57:46Speaker 7: I hear the radio interview.
- 57:48Speaker 3: I agree with elder bigger point. I think he's been
- 57:51Speaker 3: really critical at times of Josh McDaniels and the and
- 57:54Speaker 3: Drake May and the offense and the defense has been
- 57:57Speaker 3: the weaker side of the ball, for sure.
- 58:00Speaker 1: Critical of the offense, you know, here and there little.
- 58:04Speaker 3: Maybe not during the ten game winning streak when things
- 58:06Speaker 3: really got rolling. But I think that he's been.
- 58:10Speaker 7: There's been more criticism of the offense than the defense.
- 58:13Speaker 7: I would agree with that.
- 58:14Speaker 3: And the defense is the side of the ball it
- 58:16Speaker 3: needs more fixing for sure.
- 58:17Speaker 5: Yeah, I just thought that in fairness, I thought Vrabel
- 58:20Speaker 5: was critical of the defense in the post game.
- 58:24Speaker 3: Is this game and the kickoff?
- 58:26Speaker 2: I haven't heard a lot of criticism of anything really.
- 58:29Speaker 7: But I mean it depends what you call criticism.
- 58:33Speaker 5: Like that comment that we're talking about about the double
- 58:35Speaker 5: pass is it's not really critical.
- 58:38Speaker 2: I said, other other than this game before this.
- 58:41Speaker 5: I mean I'd go I'd have to go back and
- 58:43Speaker 5: find them, but I could find really several, at least
- 58:46Speaker 5: a dozen examples.
- 58:47Speaker 3: Okay, I think it hasn't happened as much recently, but
- 58:50Speaker 3: they've been right, right.
- 58:52Speaker 5: I think he was pretty critical and the the the
- 58:55Speaker 5: Raiders and the Steelers game that they both lost.

- 1:07:54Speaker 3: And now great moments in history to make the trade happen,
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: But they got an all star.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: When is the trade headline?
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: By the way, July end of July, and.
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: I just don't know why trading for a month and
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: a half.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: It's a month and a half for.
- 1:08:12Speaker 5: Now, you don't know how calendars work. It's less than
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: a month away the trade deadline.
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: He said, end of July.
- 1:08:17Speaker 7: Usually it's the middle of July.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: But but it's the end of June.
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: Now it's like.
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: That's the middle of middle of June.
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: So it's less than a month away.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: I said a month and a half because he said
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: it was the end of July.
- 1:08:32Speaker 7: You know, so the thirty So the thirty first is
- 1:08:35Speaker 7: a month and a half. Okay, okay, you're right, that's an.
- 1:08:38Speaker 5: It's July thirty first. It's a month happen and a half.
- 1:08:41Speaker 5: Why do you have to wait till you're right? I said,
- 1:08:44Speaker 5: it's a long time. I said, you're right, No, it's
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: not a long time.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: It is.
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: That's another great moment from.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: All right back here and Patriots Unfiltered eight five to
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: five past five hundred is the hotline podcast at patriots
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: dot com. Is the email address?
- 1:08:59Speaker 7: You win that one by t KO? Sure that was
- 1:09:02Speaker 7: being more wrong with calendar, with calendar.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: So then you jumped to the is a month and
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: a half a long time?
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: But I did admit that I was wrong because.
- 1:09:13Speaker 5: All Star break was the trade deadline and it's not
- 1:09:15Speaker 5: until Dirty first. But anyway, fun with calendars with Paul
- 1:09:20Speaker 5: math not my strong suit.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: That's why that's why I print my calendar out.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: We got some emails about the McDaniels thing, people incredulous
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: that they're making anything out this, that it'd be crazy
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: to Yeah, I agree. I mean, I think I can
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: understand if Rabel came in and had his heart set
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: on whoever and there was a discussion. I don't know
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: any of this to be true, and it turns out McDaniels,
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: I can understand. Oh, you know, I wish I had
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: my guy. But now that it's we've gone through the season,
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: it's worked out for everybody. It's made Mike Rabel a
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: winning head coach. It's made Drake May a better uh quarterback,
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: set up your offense for the future. Like, okay, so
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: everything's good, now let's go.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: I would agree, no matter who the offensive coordinator is,
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: Babel is probably gonna tweak them with this kind of
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: stuff like that, you know what.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: I mean, Like, that's that's rale. Okay, breaking news.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: Okay, sorry there, but that's how he is you know,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: I mean that that line of like, you know, busting
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: chops about a fake play that only got I mean,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: that's that's that's what you Arthur Smith might to do it.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that's part of the package for Mike Rabel. He's
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: gonna be he's he's gonna work for it.
- 1:10:33Speaker 5: But I wonder if ashion Grant called that, if we
- 1:10:35Speaker 5: have the same reaction. But anyway, I would say those
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: are two different things. Like you could say.
- 1:10:42Speaker 7: That let's go to the.
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: Coach going forward against the Ravens.
- 1:10:48Speaker 17: Well, I think that what we try to do is
- 1:10:50Speaker 17: we learn from every game, every opportunity, not just specifically
- 1:10:54Speaker 17: the Buffalo game.
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: There's a lot of instances throughout.
- 1:10:57Speaker 17: The year that we've learned from and last week's game
- 1:11:02Speaker 17: will be no different. And again here as it relates
- 1:11:06Speaker 17: to play calling, I think every time in every game, offensively, defensively,
- 1:11:14Speaker 17: special teams, my decisions. You know, there's always a decisions
- 1:11:18Speaker 17: that you want to have back and you know how
- 1:11:22Speaker 17: it could have made this better, whether that's as a
- 1:11:24Speaker 17: player or as a coach. And I've said this for
- 1:11:27Speaker 17: as long as I've been able to say it as
- 1:11:31Speaker 17: a head football coach, there is no perfect play.
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: There are good perfect call. There are good calls, and
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: there's not so good calls.
- 1:11:40Speaker 17: And again, my reason for saying this is you don't
- 1:11:44Speaker 17: want to have a call that gets in late. Those
- 1:11:47Speaker 17: calls that are good are they're in in a timely manner.
- 1:11:50Speaker 17: The personnel group is in there, the players have repped it,
- 1:11:53Speaker 17: they've seen it, they know, they have answers for things
- 1:11:57Speaker 17: that they could do.
- 1:11:57Speaker 4: They have answers for.
- 1:11:59Speaker 17: Things that were unscouted, which occur in every game, and
- 1:12:02Speaker 17: so we try to make sure that our calls that
- 1:12:06Speaker 17: go into the players are appropriately that way. And then
- 1:12:11Speaker 17: you know, we could always sit back after the game
- 1:12:13Speaker 17: and say, hey, we could have done this a little differently.
- 1:12:15Speaker 17: We could have called this again. So that's going to
- 1:12:18Speaker 17: go for every win and every loss. We try to
- 1:12:22Speaker 17: do it the same way as it relates to the
- 1:12:24Speaker 17: playing and then our evaluation of what we call.
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: So you know, I mean, there's a.
- 1:12:29Speaker 17: Lot of opportunities for calls to be different. There's a
- 1:12:33Speaker 17: lot of opportunities for the execution to be different, whether
- 1:12:37Speaker 17: the call stays the same or the.
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: Execution you know, to that particular call.
- 1:12:42Speaker 17: But you know, I don't think that there's anything that
- 1:12:45Speaker 17: we would want to change or do differently. We don't
- 1:12:47Speaker 17: get to do doovers. I mean, we've had a lot
- 1:12:50Speaker 17: of success and we're going to try to get that
- 1:12:53Speaker 17: same success on Sunday night.
- 1:12:55Speaker 5: Along the same line.
- 1:12:58Speaker 12: Sorry, when Drake is thrown.
- 1:13:00Speaker 17: And deep on third and one, having a few times
- 1:13:03Speaker 17: at least last week, curious, First of all, how do
- 1:13:04Speaker 17: you feel about that?
- 1:13:06Speaker 6: And then is that like the design play or is
- 1:13:07Speaker 6: that Drake making a redon?
- 1:13:09Speaker 17: No, I mean, we don't, you know what I mean.
- 1:13:11Speaker 17: We're trying to we're trying to score. We're trying to
- 1:13:14Speaker 17: to do what we do best, and sometimes those aren't
- 1:13:17Speaker 17: as short as you think, you know what I mean,
- 1:13:19Speaker 17: whether it's a long one again, we're trying to pick
- 1:13:22Speaker 17: up you know, first downs, and but also if they
- 1:13:25Speaker 17: give us an advantageous look, you know, take a shot.
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: That's sometimes what we can do.
- 1:13:33Speaker 17: And you know, I don't know specifically which ones you're
- 1:13:36Speaker 17: referring to, but you know we'll have to use every
- 1:13:39Speaker 17: everything we can to to really stay on track this week.
- 1:13:43Speaker 17: That's part of the message here with our football team offensively,
- 1:13:48Speaker 17: so that we're not in this you know, danger zone
- 1:13:52Speaker 17: of their pressures and when those things can really, you know,
- 1:13:55Speaker 17: start to affect you. So we can stay on track,
- 1:13:58Speaker 17: and if we're in short yardage, we'll have to have
- 1:14:00Speaker 17: a great plan to convert.
- 1:14:03Speaker 18: This week fallowing along the line of Carrits questioned a
- 1:14:07Speaker 18: little bit, and I know the goal of every team
- 1:14:10Speaker 18: is to win, it's the bottom line. And especially like
- 1:14:12Speaker 18: a crazy question, but can a late season loss actually
- 1:14:16Speaker 18: be good for team going forward?
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: I would say that's tb D. I don't know.
- 1:14:21Speaker 17: It's only depending on how you respond and how you
- 1:14:25Speaker 17: prepare and how you practice and ultimately how you play.
- 1:14:28Speaker 17: And so we'll see there's a lot of good things
- 1:14:32Speaker 17: in there and we'll need all those things on Sunday
- 1:14:34Speaker 17: night against this football team that six and two after
- 1:14:37Speaker 17: there by, and you know, really coming off a big
- 1:14:41Speaker 17: win last week and a dominant win, how much did you.
- 1:14:44Speaker 7: Enjoy coaching Derrick Henry Allig the challenge to.
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: See I'll start in reverse. He's a huge challenge, A
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: very unique.
- 1:14:54Speaker 17: Player, great speed, great power, strength, He's just a different
- 1:14:59Speaker 17: body type and what we've uh anybody would would go against.
- 1:15:03Speaker 17: And so it's a it's unique in that regard. They
- 1:15:06Speaker 17: do a nice, very nice job with their scheme, different
- 1:15:10Speaker 17: personnel groups, and different run plan and styles of run
- 1:15:14Speaker 17: and different run actions. So again we know what he's about,
- 1:15:21Speaker 17: build speed and stiff arm and all that other stuff.
- 1:15:24Speaker 17: You know, he was very valuable I think to our
- 1:15:28Speaker 17: success in Tennessee. Me personally had a great relationship with Derek.
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: He was always there. Seemed like when we.
- 1:15:37Speaker 17: Needed to play, he made it and you know, a
- 1:15:42Speaker 17: great teammate. Anytime that there was a message, he delivered
- 1:15:47Speaker 17: that message in his own particular way. So again he
- 1:15:51Speaker 17: was somebody that I really valued in the six years
- 1:15:54Speaker 17: that that I was there with. You go back to
- 1:15:57Speaker 17: back facing the four Vets might on a difference here
- 1:16:01Speaker 17: in terms of their skill sets.
- 1:16:03Speaker 5: How similar is the preparation, how different players.
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: And whatever job you know.
- 1:16:10Speaker 17: I mean, Josh isn't gonna matter on Sunday. This is
- 1:16:13Speaker 17: about you know, Lamar and the Ravens and what he
- 1:16:16Speaker 17: can do and his ability to stay patient and calm
- 1:16:20Speaker 17: and then deliver the football or burst. I mean, he
- 1:16:25Speaker 17: he really scrambles when he has to. He's rarely feels
- 1:16:29Speaker 17: like anybody's going to be able to tackle him until
- 1:16:31Speaker 17: he's you know, ready to go down or to get
- 1:16:34Speaker 17: out of bounce or to throw. That's kind of the
- 1:16:37Speaker 17: mindset and what I see on tape. So that'll be
- 1:16:41Speaker 17: a huge challenge, you know, one that you know, we'll
- 1:16:44Speaker 17: have to be ready for it in multiple ways.
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: And you know, but he's comfortable.
- 1:16:48Speaker 17: Standing there in the pocket and then you know, more
- 1:16:51Speaker 17: than capable to extend plays when he feels like he
- 1:16:55Speaker 17: has to mich.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: Knowing how good they are situationally it has been for years.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: How does that change? If it all the way you
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: manage a game.
- 1:17:01Speaker 13: Thinking they might be more likely to go forward and
- 1:17:03Speaker 13: fourth down or be good once they kind of get
- 1:17:05Speaker 13: in two minutes.
- 1:17:09Speaker 17: Well, we always are kind of conscious I think of
- 1:17:11Speaker 17: when teams are kind of in that that four down
- 1:17:14Speaker 17: area you know, I mean, you know two minutes. It's
- 1:17:20Speaker 17: you know, being able to, yeah, apply enough pressure in
- 1:17:25Speaker 17: a timely fashion that doesn't allow the quarterback to to
- 1:17:28Speaker 17: scramble and.
- 1:17:29Speaker 4: To gain big chunks.
- 1:17:31Speaker 17: And you know, so we'll again, we'll have a plan
- 1:17:33Speaker 17: for for two minutes and uh, you know obviously be ready,
- 1:17:37Speaker 17: uh and prepared for for the times that they attempt
- 1:17:40Speaker 17: to go fourth on fourth down.
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: Would you guys like that?
- 1:17:43Speaker 5: It is Chad Noma when you brought them.
- 1:17:46Speaker 4: But I'll take it what you like about Chatoma. That
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: was about it syncd up as we've had this year.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: That was I wouldn't relent. They didn't even hear each other.
- 1:17:55Speaker 17: I heard Chad Muma and then I heard something I
- 1:17:59Speaker 17: don't know, a new one.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: So what did you guys like about you than I
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: want to playboy now?
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: You know, I think he's played in this league.
- 1:18:10Speaker 17: Again, we get down to this time of the year
- 1:18:11Speaker 17: where you know, you got to find some guys that
- 1:18:14Speaker 17: have played in games and you know that you could
- 1:18:18Speaker 17: use and you know, fourth down and kicking game and
- 1:18:22Speaker 17: you know, good speed, good good ability to to process
- 1:18:26Speaker 17: and understand what's going on. And uh so I think
- 1:18:29Speaker 17: his experience helps and obviously what he can do and
- 1:18:33Speaker 17: how quickly he can learn.
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: Like their defense, there was a lot of talk earlier year.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: It was like the last six or seven weeks they
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: turning around.
- 1:18:40Speaker 4: What if you guys noticed on.
- 1:18:41Speaker 17: The table so that to that improving teams aren't really
- 1:18:45Speaker 17: running the ball on them, you know, so they're forcing
- 1:18:48Speaker 17: a lot of these games to be one dimensional. You know,
- 1:18:53Speaker 17: really good mix of veteran players and some youth, really
- 1:18:58Speaker 17: good interior players.
- 1:18:59Speaker 4: You know. I mean they're just big, they're you know,
- 1:19:01Speaker 4: Jones and Jenkins.
- 1:19:03Speaker 17: And obviously they'll they'll rotate other guys through there, but
- 1:19:05Speaker 17: it starts with those two.
- 1:19:08Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:19:08Speaker 17: I think Kyle Hamilton is one of the best players
- 1:19:11Speaker 17: in this league just from a versatility standpoint and what
- 1:19:13Speaker 17: he can do at the line of scrimmage covering. I
- 1:19:16Speaker 17: mean thirty four career PBUs, eight career sacks. You know,
- 1:19:20Speaker 17: play Nickel plays safety, uh plays diamebacker. So the versatility
- 1:19:26Speaker 17: there is impressive. That playmaking ability is impressive. I mean,
- 1:19:30Speaker 17: Humphrees is you know, if you're loose with the football,
- 1:19:34Speaker 17: you take a nap, he'll he'll pull it out or
- 1:19:36Speaker 17: he'll hammer it, you know, rokwand Smith usually tackles the
- 1:19:40Speaker 17: ball every every time it's handed off. So, uh, they're
- 1:19:43Speaker 17: they're playing well, they're playing with a lot of confidence
- 1:19:45Speaker 17: and to be a huge.
- 1:19:46Speaker 5: Test you're passing game this perform against Manda main coverage.
- 1:19:50Speaker 12: With you guys have seen that.
- 1:19:52Speaker 17: Oh well, you know, I think that there's always opportunities
- 1:19:56Speaker 17: for us to win and match coverage. I think that
- 1:19:58Speaker 17: there's been times where we've one you know, Diggs one
- 1:20:03Speaker 17: on third down, Mac one on an end cut. You know,
- 1:20:06Speaker 17: I don't have the numbers off hand analytically, but those
- 1:20:10Speaker 17: are at least two. And I'm sure that you know,
- 1:20:15Speaker 17: there's times we're in match that that we're covered and
- 1:20:17Speaker 17: hopefully you know, Drake can extend the play and you know,
- 1:20:21Speaker 17: cause some play extension or be able to scramble. So
- 1:20:25Speaker 17: whatever coverage they're in, we're going to have to be
- 1:20:27Speaker 17: able to have great spacing and route detail and zone
- 1:20:30Speaker 17: and then uh, you know, be able to have answers
- 1:20:35Speaker 17: when we do get matched.
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: What did you see as the issues potentially in that
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: second half with James Cook and Josh Allen able to
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: run the.
- 1:20:44Speaker 8: Ball a little bit more?
- 1:20:45Speaker 13: How can you fix that going into having space a.
- 1:20:48Speaker 17: Lot of that just you know, I mean they pushed
- 1:20:51Speaker 17: a lot of scrimmage and we have to be able
- 1:20:53Speaker 17: to stay gap sound and be able to.
- 1:20:58Speaker 4: You know, build a wall and build a wall. And
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: again when you.
- 1:21:00Speaker 17: Get on the plus side of fifty sometimes and then
- 1:21:02Speaker 17: short field position, you know, they don't mind sticking with
- 1:21:05Speaker 17: the run and going forward on fourth down and you
- 1:21:10Speaker 17: can't let him run it in.
- 1:21:11Speaker 4: And again it's a huge challenge this week.
- 1:21:13Speaker 17: I'm sure we'll see a lot of those runs that
- 1:21:16Speaker 17: they did last week, you know, see where we're.
- 1:21:18Speaker 4: At with them, That's usually what happened. So that's what
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: I told the team this morning.
- 1:21:21Speaker 16: You have talked about Drake Rolf.
- 1:21:24Speaker 4: Had the final question go ahead.
- 1:21:27Speaker 11: You talked about Drake protecting himself as a quarterback and
- 1:21:31Speaker 11: the importance of that if he saw him use his
- 1:21:33Speaker 11: legs in the red zone. As a season goes on
- 1:21:36Speaker 11: and playoffs on the horizon, do you feel that the
- 1:21:39Speaker 11: balance of Drake extending plays with his legs.
- 1:21:42Speaker 4: May change a little bit.
- 1:21:44Speaker 17: You would have to ask Drake. I don't get to
- 1:21:46Speaker 17: make those decisions. I don't have a remote control to say,
- 1:21:49Speaker 17: scramble or throw.
- 1:21:51Speaker 4: And I just say that.
- 1:21:54Speaker 17: By continuing to develop that part of his game and
- 1:22:00Speaker 17: truthfully being able to remain a passer, keep his eyes downfield,
- 1:22:05Speaker 17: but then also you know, if it's not, then be
- 1:22:08Speaker 17: able to to go and get what you can get
- 1:22:11Speaker 17: and take care of yourself.
- 1:22:12Speaker 4: So those are the choices that he makes.
- 1:22:14Speaker 17: Those are the decisions that the quarterback gets to make,
- 1:22:17Speaker 17: and I think he's mad made some good ones and
- 1:22:20Speaker 17: again hopefully he can continue to do that and progress
- 1:22:23Speaker 17: and try to remain a thrower guys can come into
- 1:22:26Speaker 17: his vision and we can get some of those things done.
- 1:22:29Speaker 17: And then if they don't, you know, then he'll have
- 1:22:31Speaker 17: to get what he can get and get down or
- 1:22:34Speaker 17: get out.
- 1:22:35Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: All right, that's Mike Rabel Anything uh want to I highlight.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: I mean, just for me, the challenge of the Ravens.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: I think he's got a pretty good beat on, you know,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: how good they are on defense and what Derrick Henry
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: means and stressing their six and two after the buy,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: how they've turned things around, and you know, the big
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: thing was just teams aren't running on them, they're making
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: them one dimension. Always talked a lot about the Patriots
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: run game this year not being able to get going. Well,
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: this might be a tough week for them to get
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: going a lot on tre.
- 1:23:04Speaker 5: That was the one thing that stood out to me too,
- 1:23:05Speaker 5: is they you know, because you don't watch the Ravens
- 1:23:08Speaker 5: every week, you just look at the numbers. You just
- 1:23:09Speaker 5: see other six and two in their last eight. The
- 1:23:11Speaker 5: defense obviously played much better. What has led to that turnaround?
- 1:23:15Speaker 5: And he's telling you they've been much tougher to run against.
- 1:23:18Speaker 5: So even though they haven't been great rushing, the pass
- 1:23:21Speaker 5: or anything. They only have like twenty sack twenty two
- 1:23:23Speaker 5: sacks all season. You make a team one dimensional, becomes
- 1:23:26Speaker 5: a little easier to defend.
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: Kind of missing that, Terurela, what if you make the
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: Patriots won the metabuga, you know out all year.
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: Do you think the Patriots can succeed pass heavy? I
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: think they can't.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: I think they Kenneth Drake is on I mean his passes. Yeah,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: I think they can. But I also think that they're
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: a similar kind of team to Buffalo that they have
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: a championship medal, but they have playoff medal. This is
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: a team that's played in a lot of big games
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: and their backs are against the wall right now, so
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: I would expect them to, you know, to be really
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: competitive on that stuff.
- 1:23:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: The Marlin Hemphrey warnings stood out to me too, of
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: you know, don't take anap. They're gonna they're gonna turn
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: the ball over on you.
- 1:24:02Speaker 5: Yeah, he's I mean, he's been a good player for
- 1:24:04Speaker 5: a long time, Humphrey. And you know, I just have
- 1:24:08Speaker 5: respect for the way the Ravens play. That's what's been
- 1:24:12Speaker 5: so surprising to me about their struggles, and it's not
- 1:24:14Speaker 5: necessarily health related.
- 1:24:17Speaker 7: Struggles, Like I watched the Pittsburgh game.
- 1:24:20Speaker 5: I watched a good chunk of that two weeks ago,
- 1:24:21Speaker 5: and they just didn't look like they played with much urgency, effort, energy,
- 1:24:26Speaker 5: which to me is very atypical of the way the
- 1:24:28Speaker 5: Ravens normally play, right, I thought that was kind of
- 1:24:33Speaker 5: the the signal that it was the end was here,
- 1:24:36Speaker 5: Like they didn't feel like they had it this year,
- 1:24:38Speaker 5: and I kind of expected him to go to Cincinnati
- 1:24:40Speaker 5: and lose. They responded with what many have called their
- 1:24:43Speaker 5: best game of the year, a twenty four to nothing win.
- 1:24:46Speaker 5: I don't know if that was as much to do
- 1:24:48Speaker 5: with the Ravens or you know, the mess that is
- 1:24:51Speaker 5: Cincinnati right now and you know, sort of the morass
- 1:24:54Speaker 5: that Joe Burrow is in, you know, emotionally having fun. Yeah,
- 1:24:59Speaker 5: so we'll find out. I mean, I think twenty five
- 1:25:02Speaker 5: or so, I mean, they got it. They got to
- 1:25:04Speaker 5: get to the mid to upper twenties. I would think
- 1:25:07Speaker 5: Buffalo Baltimore is not a high powered like thirty plus
- 1:25:11Speaker 5: on a routine basis, But you know, twenty three, twenty four,
- 1:25:16Speaker 5: you know, twenty seven, I think that should be enough
- 1:25:19Speaker 5: to if you can get there.
- 1:25:20Speaker 7: You should be able to win.
- 1:25:21Speaker 5: Yeah, but I also don't think that they're just gonna
- 1:25:23Speaker 5: allow you to to put up thirty eight.
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: So no, it's gonna be tough sledding. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: having to run over to the Lockermow'll come right back though.
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: Oh boy. All right, there goes to Digsy, There goes
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: to ion Evan. All right. H eight five to five
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: past five hundred is the Hotline podcast at pages dot com.
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: We've got plenty of emails coming in, calls coming in.
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: Brad's in Ohio on the hot line. What's up, Brad?
- 1:25:50Speaker 19: Hey, crew, how are you doing today?
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: Okay?
- 1:25:53Speaker 19: Good? Just a couple questions and observation. First of all,
- 1:26:00Speaker 19: when can we expect Milton back?
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: Milton William Well, the first game that he's eligible to
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: be back is the Jets game.
- 1:26:10Speaker 19: But we haven't heard nothing medically.
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: Why assume that, No, we don't know the prog. I
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: don't know the progress that he's making or how I
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: think it's an ankle for him, right high ankle sprain.
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: I don't know like how he's doing. I have no idea.
- 1:26:24Speaker 19: Okay, and then I think we all, all of you,
- 1:26:29Speaker 19: including Paul touched on a very good point that I
- 1:26:33Speaker 19: don't think just has something.
- 1:26:35Speaker 9: To do with Drake.
- 1:26:36Speaker 19: I also thought it had something to do with Wade
- 1:26:39Speaker 19: and Gonzales played in that game, and that is their
- 1:26:44Speaker 19: their attire for the weather that they're playing in. I mean,
- 1:26:48Speaker 19: I agree with Paul wholeheartedly. You can't just because you're tough,
- 1:26:52Speaker 19: you don't want to wear Did Brett's farv wear bear
- 1:26:55Speaker 19: skinned and green bay? I mean, I don't understand.
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: I think he might have been one of those tough guys.
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: He didn't.
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: Yeah, he wore sleeves.
- 1:27:04Speaker 5: Yeah, mostly far most quarterbacks, you know, I'm not telling
- 1:27:07Speaker 5: you they all do. But and I don't care if
- 1:27:10Speaker 5: he doesn't want to wear sleeves, if he doesn't feel
- 1:27:12Speaker 5: comfortable wearing sleeves and he feels comfortable doing it this way,
- 1:27:15Speaker 5: I am one hundred percent on board with it. But
- 1:27:18Speaker 5: I just don't want the reason to be right, I'm
- 1:27:20Speaker 5: being some sort of message that you're trying to send
- 1:27:22Speaker 5: about being tough. It's better that you're playing at your
- 1:27:25Speaker 5: best and you're most comfortable.
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: I'd rather be smart, you know, like, yeah, however you're
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: going to perform best, that's how you should dress.
- 1:27:36Speaker 19: And so last year, did he have any games that
- 1:27:39Speaker 19: he wore sleeps.
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: And I'm trying, I don't know, you have to ask
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: he's he's the uniformed people guy.
- 1:27:46Speaker 19: I don't he's ever done that. And I hope that,
- 1:27:49Speaker 19: you know, like Evan and Paul and you all were
- 1:27:51Speaker 19: speaking of, I hope he, you know, kind of can
- 1:27:56Speaker 19: figure out what he needs to be wearing to be comfortable,
- 1:27:59Speaker 19: like you're saying, and so that because I remember Tom,
- 1:28:02Speaker 19: like Paul was paying, I mean, he looked like he
- 1:28:04Speaker 19: was dressed up.
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yep, absolutely, Now yeah, thanks for the call, Brat.
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: Now I remember, you know, back in the day, Nelly
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: talking about that game when Miami came here and it
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: was really cold and snow and you know, they came
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: on bundled up and you know, looking cold, and the
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: Patriots came out in short sleeves and Nelly says that
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: the Patriots psyched him out that game.
- 1:28:31Speaker 5: Well, he said, he tells a story about Don Nottingham,
- 1:28:34Speaker 5: who was the Dolphins fullback who came out for pregame
- 1:28:37Speaker 5: warm ups with no sleeves on. Blah blah blah, went
- 1:28:40Speaker 5: through the whole rigamarole, and then when the game started,
- 1:28:43Speaker 5: he came out and he had sleeves on, and Nelly says,
- 1:28:45Speaker 5: I knew we had him then, right, I don't know
- 1:28:47Speaker 5: that that. I mean now he's one of my all
- 1:28:50Speaker 5: time favorites. I mean I trust him like that. Maybe
- 1:28:55Speaker 5: they got to, but I think it's also a little
- 1:28:57Speaker 5: different for fullback and a line inside linebacker, we're going
- 1:28:59Speaker 5: to clashing heads all day. You know, maybe you do
- 1:29:02Speaker 5: want a mental edge, Like I don't really think the
- 1:29:04Speaker 5: quarterback needs that mental edge over somebody to show you
- 1:29:08Speaker 5: he's tougher.
- 1:29:08Speaker 7: You need to play better.
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: Right, I need him to be top efficiency. You know,
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: however you're most comfortable, that's what you do. And you know,
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: I know now if I was playing with all the
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: technology now in these undergarments, like they're so thin you
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: don't want to be impeded. But now like they're so
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: thin and in thermal that you can you can be
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: warm and not be impeded. It used to not be
- 1:29:38Speaker 2: that way, like you know, forty years ago, but now
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: this stuff is so amazing. And then they have little
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: tricks like I know wide receivers have talked about on
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: cold days using vasoline on their arms, and I guess,
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: I guess vaciline closes the pores, and so you know,
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: the wind wouldn't you know, get through your pores and
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: make you even colder. And that was kind of a
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: trick that they used to do. So it's a real
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: thing being cold. I mean when your hands in your
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: feet are freezing and you can't feel them, and it's
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: it's hard to perform. It's hard to perform. So anything
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: you can do, and you know, you see these guys
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: in the sideline, they make no bones about getting near
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: that heater, and and the seats are heated, and they
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: have those little posts behind the bench and those are
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: for putting your helmet on. Those are heated. So it's
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: a real thing. So why try to fight it.
- 1:30:33Speaker 5: I'm looking at a late season game. I was just
- 1:30:34Speaker 5: doing some highlights late season game against the Chargers last year,
- 1:30:38Speaker 5: which I want to say was just before Christmas. No
- 1:30:41Speaker 5: sleeves for Drake, No sleeves for Drake. I looked up
- 1:30:44Speaker 5: some bread and to be doing that game not good.
- 1:30:47Speaker 7: The forty seven they Brett Favre.
- 1:30:52Speaker 5: I just you know, did two thousand and seven NFC
- 1:30:54Speaker 5: Championship game because I remember that was that was the
- 1:30:56Speaker 5: game that Tom Coughlin's face was already Oh.
- 1:30:58Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, pet sleeves. Yeah, they were wearing sleeps.
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: Was bitter cold.
- 1:31:04Speaker 7: Yeah, that was rich.
- 1:31:05Speaker 5: You know, like again, if if it's about trying to
- 1:31:08Speaker 5: be macho, then you you wouldn't wear a sleep but
- 1:31:11Speaker 5: you gotta be you gotta be comfortable.
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that that gotta play off Tennessee game here. Yeah,
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: I remember one of the Tennessee players on the bench saying,
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: you know, I'm freaking out. I can't feel my feet.
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: I'm freaking out here. It was cold, man.
- 1:31:27Speaker 5: And that was the game that Bethel Johnson fooled us
- 1:31:29Speaker 5: all in the locker room. We had Bethel Johnson caught
- 1:31:31Speaker 5: a bomb from Brady. Don't you like when they leave
- 1:31:34Speaker 5: when we can do story shows. He caught a bomb
- 1:31:37Speaker 5: for a touchdown in that game, and afterwards he's talking
- 1:31:39Speaker 5: to us in the locker room saying, yeah, you know,
- 1:31:41Speaker 5: and and it was really really cold that night. You know,
- 1:31:45Speaker 5: I didn't have any sleeves on, and you know I
- 1:31:47Speaker 5: was out there. I was tough and you and then
- 1:31:50Speaker 5: we had the cover shot, right you know, so like
- 1:31:52Speaker 5: you leave the locker room, we go back to our offices.
- 1:31:54Speaker 5: We stopped putting stuff together and Fred's like, what do
- 1:31:57Speaker 5: you think of this cover shot? And me and Andy
- 1:31:58Speaker 5: look at each other and we're like, this guy just
- 1:32:01Speaker 5: got finished telling us how he didn't wear sleeves. He's
- 1:32:03Speaker 5: got sleeves on us. He's catching his baths.
- 1:32:06Speaker 2: Absolutely, I mean to us, I'd be stuffing feet warmers
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: in my cleats. I mean, whatever you can do to
- 1:32:14Speaker 2: stay warm, That's what I'd be doing. Curtis and Saint
- 1:32:17Speaker 2: Louis has a rant. Just wanted to say to all
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: Bills fans on social media and some of the mainstream media.
- 1:32:26Speaker 2: We know the schedule is historically the easiest ever. We
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: know that, but the Patriots are not just a product
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: of their schedule. They are not a fluke face it, folks.
- 1:32:35Speaker 2: They are back baby. We all knew this was going
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: to be a tough game, but I believe New England
- 1:32:39Speaker 2: beat themselves more so than Buffalo handling them, handing them
- 1:32:43Speaker 2: their arse. Also, let's not forget to mention that the
- 1:32:46Speaker 2: Bills basically have the same schedule as the Patriots outside
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: of three games. Well, three games is a lot in
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: the seventeen game schedules, but anyway.
- 1:32:53Speaker 5: Especially when they're Houston, Philadelphia in Kansas City, fred.
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: I agree with you, and I will double down. May
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: will throw for three hundred yard and get the game ball.
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: He will also throw for three touchdowns and have fifty
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: plus rushing yards. Fourteen and three is still on the table.
- 1:33:06Speaker 2: Let's go, baby, All right, I'm good with that last part.
- 1:33:09Speaker 5: I was gonna say, I like the last graph. Yeah,
- 1:33:11Speaker 5: big fan of the last draft.
- 1:33:13Speaker 2: Absolutely, Okay, Don and Philly has a would you rather
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: if we knew everything we knew now or we know
- 1:33:22Speaker 2: now and we went back to the twenty twenty fourth draft?
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: Drake goes one, but the Patriots are picking two? Would
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: you pick Caleb Jaden or Nis Caleb Williams. Yeah, probably
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: we were picking one. But I'd also want to make
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: sure that I have Josh McDaniels with him, Okay, yeah,
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: because I think he needed he needs somebody good like
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: he's getting now. He's he's got Ben Johnson. Now you
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: know he didn't have big john men. Oh I do too,
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: but sometimes immensely talented guys, right you know?
- 1:33:54Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: Right?
- 1:33:55Speaker 7: Also I give the credit to the player.
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: Also, what what seed do you project pay Trits ending
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: up with? And who do you expect us to play
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: as of right now?
- 1:34:05Speaker 7: I expect them to finish with the two seed.
- 1:34:07Speaker 2: I do too.
- 1:34:10Speaker 7: It could be anybody. Yeah, I have no idea. Who's
- 1:34:12Speaker 7: going to be seven?
- 1:34:13Speaker 4: Yep?
- 1:34:13Speaker 2: And I'm not. I know it's a recurring theme here,
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: not just this year, but other years. Who would you
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: rather play? Who do you hope they play? Who do
- 1:34:21Speaker 2: you not want to play? I don't like playing that game.
- 1:34:24Speaker 5: You've never liked. I'm going to give you a lot
- 1:34:26Speaker 5: of credit. I never liked playing that game. If I
- 1:34:29Speaker 5: think it's half.
- 1:34:30Speaker 2: If we get knocked out in the wildcard, then we
- 1:34:32Speaker 2: weren't good enough.
- 1:34:34Speaker 7: You know, but that's obvious. But I don't know who.
- 1:34:37Speaker 7: Who do you think would be an easier game?
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't care.
- 1:34:41Speaker 7: I agree with you. They can beat anybody, and they
- 1:34:43Speaker 7: can lose to anybody.
- 1:34:44Speaker 5: But I think I'd rather play, you know, Jacksonville than Houston.
- 1:34:50Speaker 5: I'd rather play the Chargers than the Bills.
- 1:34:54Speaker 2: But eventually you're gonna have to play somebody good, right,
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: or somebody better than who you think the Jacksonville jack
- 1:35:00Speaker 2: So i'd write if we're not good enough, I'd rather
- 1:35:02Speaker 2: get it over early.
- 1:35:03Speaker 7: See not me, not me?
- 1:35:05Speaker 5: If you're good I mean, I think there's much you're
- 1:35:08Speaker 5: telling me that you'd rather lose in the wild card
- 1:35:11Speaker 5: round in the AFC Championship.
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: I don't know if i'd rather, but you just get
- 1:35:19Speaker 2: it over with. If we're not good enough before, if
- 1:35:21Speaker 2: we have to have the perfect matchups, then we're not gonna.
- 1:35:24Speaker 7: Like it's not perfect. I just said that.
- 1:35:26Speaker 5: I think they can beat anybody, and they can lose
- 1:35:28Speaker 5: to anybody, but.
- 1:35:29Speaker 2: I just don't. I just I just don't like wasting
- 1:35:32Speaker 2: time worrying about that.
- 1:35:33Speaker 5: Again, you have very You've been very consistent on that.
- 1:35:37Speaker 5: For even when the Patriots were great, right, you just
- 1:35:40Speaker 5: never really gave any thought to who they were playing.
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: Whoever we're playing, that's who I'll worry about. So somebody
- 1:35:49Speaker 2: has an important question for Paul. This is Anthony. Yesterday
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: I asked the question, is it fair to say we
- 1:35:56Speaker 2: didn't play our best on Sunday? And you said, and
- 1:35:59Speaker 2: how we aren't? You said no, In how we aren't
- 1:36:03Speaker 2: the Kurt Warner Rams, you also said I'm expecting too
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: much out of Pop and the receivers. Yes, you're right
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: about us not being the Rams, but is it really
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: too much to expect for Pop to at least have
- 1:36:13Speaker 2: a few catches. I know we put up thirty one
- 1:36:15Speaker 2: and that's a good outing.
- 1:36:17Speaker 7: He has to play to get catches, right.
- 1:36:19Speaker 2: I know we put up thirty one and that's a
- 1:36:21Speaker 2: good outing. But let's be honest, that was one of
- 1:36:23Speaker 2: the worst games by Drake by his standards. Are you
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: really saying I can't expect him to complete more than
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: five passes for forty two yards in the second half?
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: Or am I missing something?
- 1:36:33Speaker 5: So you have to take the entire game into consideration.
- 1:36:40Speaker 5: I understand what the guy's point is, Okay, I don't
- 1:36:44Speaker 5: think they're capable of playing sixty minutes of dominant football.
- 1:36:48Speaker 5: I don't think they can do that. I don't think
- 1:36:49Speaker 5: they're good enough to do that. That's the point I'm
- 1:36:51Speaker 5: trying to say, Like, should I have expected a first
- 1:36:55Speaker 5: down or two on the last two drives? Of course
- 1:36:58Speaker 5: you know that that would be But like, I don't
- 1:37:02Speaker 5: understand why when they This is a sports thing to me,
- 1:37:08Speaker 5: we take snapshots of when things are the absolute best,
- 1:37:13Speaker 5: and that's what that's what it is. The Celtics win
- 1:37:16Speaker 5: six games in a row and suddenly we're talking about
- 1:37:19Speaker 5: Jason Tatum's coming back. They need to make a move
- 1:37:21Speaker 5: at the deadline, the East is wide open. Then they
- 1:37:23Speaker 5: lose two in a row, and everybody's like, oh, well
- 1:37:25Speaker 5: I got that.
- 1:37:26Speaker 7: You know, don't take a snapshot.
- 1:37:28Speaker 5: In other words, you watch the first half and three
- 1:37:32Speaker 5: out of the first four drives the Patriots scored touchdowns,
- 1:37:34Speaker 5: and you say, well, that's what they are. No, they're not.
- 1:37:38Speaker 7: They're hot. They're hot right now it's going to level off. Yeah,
- 1:37:43Speaker 7: do you know what I'm saying?
- 1:37:44Speaker 5: Yeah, because they're not quote unquote that talented to just
- 1:37:47Speaker 5: run rough shot over everybody.
- 1:37:49Speaker 2: Well, the thing that I think has everyone in a
- 1:37:51Speaker 2: tizzy over this game is you had two disparate halfs.
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: Of course, you had probably the best half they played
- 1:37:57Speaker 2: and maybe the worst half.
- 1:37:58Speaker 7: But if you can buy that's but it's pretty good.
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: It's hard to do that. It's totally hard to do.
- 1:38:05Speaker 7: It's totally hard to do.
- 1:38:07Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:38:07Speaker 5: Should they have been expected to play a little better
- 1:38:09Speaker 5: in the second half, of course they should. They're capable.
- 1:38:12Speaker 5: I've seen them play better than that many times. I've
- 1:38:15Speaker 5: never seen them anything near what they did in the
- 1:38:17Speaker 5: first thirty minutes.
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: They haven't approached that ever, exactly right.
- 1:38:21Speaker 5: So that's why I say overall, it's about as well
- 1:38:24Speaker 5: as they can play. I'm counting it all, not just
- 1:38:27Speaker 5: the second half.
- 1:38:28Speaker 2: I'm hoping that they can play a first half like
- 1:38:32Speaker 2: that and a reasonably better in the second half. I'm
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: hoping that's a potential for that.
- 1:38:37Speaker 5: So what I would expect is a little less than
- 1:38:39Speaker 5: that in the first half, but a little more than
- 1:38:41Speaker 5: that in the second half. Okay, and maybe the consistency
- 1:38:44Speaker 5: ultimately gets you we want to go. I don't think
- 1:38:47Speaker 5: that they're capable of doing what they did in the
- 1:38:48Speaker 5: first half very often.
- 1:38:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't like that was like against the Bills.
- 1:38:53Speaker 5: No, Yes, against the quality opponent, right, you know, I
- 1:38:56Speaker 5: think that that was they really were in total control
- 1:39:00Speaker 5: of that game.
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: That's why he felt so confident going in this.
- 1:39:03Speaker 5: In the first twenty five minutes in the first half,
- 1:39:05Speaker 5: they were in total control. Yeah, And I don't think
- 1:39:08Speaker 5: that's realistic to expect against another team that has talent yep.
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: Robert writes in after being drafted, Henderson was compared to
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: James White because of his receiving ability. While he's obviously
- 1:39:20Speaker 2: a better runner than whitever was is there any reason
- 1:39:23Speaker 2: we're not seeing them utilize him differently in the passing game.
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: They are utilizing him in the passing game.
- 1:39:29Speaker 7: Not a ton. I've been a little surprised at that myself.
- 1:39:31Speaker 2: He's capable of running routes out wide or in the slot.
- 1:39:34Speaker 2: It seems like they could be able to create mismatches
- 1:39:36Speaker 2: in the passing game by moving him around a lot
- 1:39:39Speaker 2: more than they are. When you have a game where
- 1:39:42Speaker 2: we threw the ball so much in the second half
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: without success, it leaves you looking for ways to scheme
- 1:39:47Speaker 2: up easy plays. It seems like you could isolate him
- 1:39:50Speaker 2: in places take advantage of his big playability in the
- 1:39:53Speaker 2: passing game more often. They seem to use Remandrae more
- 1:39:56Speaker 2: creatively in the passing game.
- 1:39:57Speaker 5: And I disagree with that. Henderson's a much more frequent
- 1:40:01Speaker 5: target than how many.
- 1:40:03Speaker 2: Targets did he have in the second half.
- 1:40:06Speaker 7: We know how many targets did who have Henderson in
- 1:40:10Speaker 7: the game.
- 1:40:11Speaker 2: Well, let's start with the game.
- 1:40:13Speaker 7: He had three targets in the two catches.
- 1:40:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not a lot.
- 1:40:16Speaker 5: Yeah, but that's like they haven't used him a ton
- 1:40:19Speaker 5: as a receiver. I mean, he's got thirty four catches,
- 1:40:21Speaker 5: which is I think, you know, a decent number for
- 1:40:24Speaker 5: a rookie running back. First of all, can I just
- 1:40:28Speaker 5: say this is just a scratch and itch. James White
- 1:40:31Speaker 5: is still criminally underrated. But I'm going to leave that
- 1:40:33Speaker 5: off to the side.
- 1:40:34Speaker 2: Okay, he's not as good a runner as Henderson.
- 1:40:38Speaker 5: So I'm going to leave that off to the side.
- 1:40:42Speaker 5: The he's not as fast as Henderson. Yeah, I don't
- 1:40:45Speaker 5: know whatever argument definite. Traveon Henderson has elite top end
- 1:40:50Speaker 5: speed for any running back.
- 1:40:51Speaker 2: White was anybody.
- 1:40:54Speaker 5: James White was an excellent running back runner in pass receiver,
- 1:40:58Speaker 5: he was not as fast as Trevion Henderson. Henderson, to me,
- 1:41:02Speaker 5: they did exactly They tried to do exactly what you said.
- 1:41:06Speaker 5: On the third down at the end of the game.
- 1:41:08Speaker 5: They tried to isolate him outside on a wheel route
- 1:41:11Speaker 5: and he was covered like a blanket.
- 1:41:15Speaker 7: They switched it up. I think Evan talked about this yesterday.
- 1:41:17Speaker 5: They had a cornerback on him. So those are the
- 1:41:22Speaker 5: plays that James White made routinely, and I'm been a
- 1:41:26Speaker 5: little surprised that they haven't been able to do that
- 1:41:28Speaker 5: more often. But I mean, I think that you've gotten
- 1:41:32Speaker 5: seven hundred and seventy three yards rushing in another two
- 1:41:35Speaker 5: hundred and twelve yards receiving. You know, he's knocking on
- 1:41:38Speaker 5: the door of a thousand yard scrimmage season. I think
- 1:41:41Speaker 5: he's had a really solid rookie year. I don't really
- 1:41:44Speaker 5: have any issues with his usage. I think that they've
- 1:41:46Speaker 5: done a really nice job with him.
- 1:41:48Speaker 2: Carl from Salt Lake City originally from Western mass though
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: I was born in Western mass So the teasing is
- 1:41:55Speaker 2: noted and mildly hurtful on behalf of all of us
- 1:41:58Speaker 2: west of Worcester. It's okay, you got to live with it.
- 1:42:01Speaker 7: It's all in.
- 1:42:02Speaker 2: This game made it clear once again that we don't
- 1:42:04Speaker 2: have that binkie always open receiver for may. I know
- 1:42:08Speaker 2: we all thought it might be Diggs, but so far
- 1:42:10Speaker 2: it's been inconsistent. Do we have anyone on the current
- 1:42:13Speaker 2: roster who can really realistically fill that role.
- 1:42:16Speaker 7: Well, Diggs has been doing that all season.
- 1:42:18Speaker 2: Not playing right on third down for sure, the Binkie.
- 1:42:23Speaker 7: That's what I'm saying. Diggs has been doing that all
- 1:42:25Speaker 7: season long. He's been the binky.
- 1:42:27Speaker 5: He was even the binkie once on Sunday. Otherwise had
- 1:42:30Speaker 5: a quiet game. There was a big third down in
- 1:42:31Speaker 5: the second half that he converted.
- 1:42:34Speaker 2: The bill seemed to provide a pretty solid blueprint for
- 1:42:37Speaker 2: how to stymy the Pagers passing attack. And I can't
- 1:42:39Speaker 2: shake the feeling that if this doesn't get figured out quickly,
- 1:42:42Speaker 2: our playoff chances are going to be pretty limited.
- 1:42:46Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, I'm gonna there's a lot of things
- 1:42:49Speaker 7: that I think.
- 1:42:50Speaker 5: I'm not going to overreact on one game. That's going
- 1:42:54Speaker 5: to be one of them. The Bills have a really
- 1:42:57Speaker 5: good pass defense. And I'm not telling you they have
- 1:42:59Speaker 5: a great defense. I don't think they do. But their
- 1:43:02Speaker 5: pass defense has been ranked among the top five in
- 1:43:05Speaker 5: the league for virtually the entirety of the McDermott era,
- 1:43:09Speaker 5: including this year. So I you know, you can say
- 1:43:13Speaker 5: they had a blueprint. You've got to figure out how
- 1:43:15Speaker 5: to how to come up with different ways and you know,
- 1:43:17Speaker 5: different schemes that that Sean McDermott did in the second
- 1:43:20Speaker 5: half to to turn you know, turn things around and
- 1:43:22Speaker 5: switch things up.
- 1:43:24Speaker 7: I don't think just anybody can do that.
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: Listen, if we if we think that Josh McDaniels is
- 1:43:29Speaker 2: a good offensive coordinator, and we do most of us anyway,
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: he'll he recognizes, you know.
- 1:43:36Speaker 5: What's got to be adjustments to the adjustments, right so
- 1:43:39Speaker 5: we'll see, and I don't think that just anybody can
- 1:43:41Speaker 5: do You don't listen, Baltimore. I don't think it's going
- 1:43:43Speaker 5: to be an easy game this week. The Ravens have
- 1:43:46Speaker 5: some some something to play for, and they have some
- 1:43:48Speaker 5: ability on defense, and I think they've sort of overcome
- 1:43:52Speaker 5: their really lackluster start. We'll see what happens, but I
- 1:43:55Speaker 5: don't think just anybody can do what Buffalo did in
- 1:43:58Speaker 5: the second half. Yeah, I don't think it's as simple
- 1:44:00Speaker 5: as well, you know, your double team this guy and
- 1:44:02Speaker 5: you double teen that guy and they have no no answers.
- 1:44:04Speaker 7: Well they'll they'll figure out some answers.
- 1:44:06Speaker 2: Zach from zinci Uh. A positive talking point I want
- 1:44:12Speaker 2: to brought up after Sunday's loss was the fact that
- 1:44:14Speaker 2: Trevion Henderson jumped up to the highest odds for Offensive
- 1:44:17Speaker 2: Rookie of the Year. BUKA is great, but it's taken
- 1:44:20Speaker 2: a step back in production, and Ted doesn't have to
- 1:44:24Speaker 2: eye popping games like Trey does. Our guy have a
- 1:44:27Speaker 2: legitimate chance to get the NOD with the games left
- 1:44:29Speaker 2: being meaningful. I could see him having another one hundred
- 1:44:31Speaker 2: plus yard one touchdown game, which I think would seal
- 1:44:34Speaker 2: the deal.
- 1:44:35Speaker 7: I think he has a good chance. I think those
- 1:44:38Speaker 7: are the top three.
- 1:44:39Speaker 5: Personally, I would I would take McMillan because I think
- 1:44:42Speaker 5: he's all by himself, whereas the other two guys are
- 1:44:46Speaker 5: you know, parts of you know, better, better offenses. But
- 1:44:51Speaker 5: it's gonna come down to what the what the voters
- 1:44:54Speaker 5: look at, Like Abuka was really good for the vast
- 1:44:58Speaker 5: majority of the season in his tail off late, Henderson
- 1:45:02Speaker 5: was nothing for the vast majority of the season and
- 1:45:04Speaker 5: has exploded as of late. Which one of those two
- 1:45:07Speaker 5: things do you want to sort of focus on if
- 1:45:09Speaker 5: you're a voter, right, I think that's what it could
- 1:45:11Speaker 5: come down to, because I do think one of those
- 1:45:13Speaker 5: two will win it because I think they're going to
- 1:45:15Speaker 5: be on better teams, you know. I mean, I guess
- 1:45:19Speaker 5: Tampa is really not a better team than Carolina.
- 1:45:21Speaker 7: They're the same.
- 1:45:22Speaker 5: So I don't know, but I do think it's funny
- 1:45:26Speaker 5: the Ohio State thing, which I was reading a little
- 1:45:28Speaker 5: bout this morning. They've had something like seven Rookies of
- 1:45:32Speaker 5: the Year the last like I don't know, half dozen years,
- 1:45:37Speaker 5: you know, Jack and Smith and Jigba, and.
- 1:45:41Speaker 2: They come out pro ready.
- 1:45:42Speaker 5: I guess, yeah, you know, Chase Young was one of
- 1:45:45Speaker 5: them that both Bosa's Joey and Nick Bosa were Defensive
- 1:45:48Speaker 5: Rookies of the Year. Yeah, I think Trevia and Henderson
- 1:45:51Speaker 5: is an excellent chance to win that because I do
- 1:45:53Speaker 5: think the last thing that people see sometimes sticks in
- 1:45:57Speaker 5: your mind longer. And right now with Abuka has been
- 1:46:00Speaker 5: he's kind of hit the wall.
- 1:46:01Speaker 7: Yep a little bit.
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: Jay and Indy, Uh, what happened to the dink and
- 1:46:05Speaker 2: dunk offense and the checkdown? It's like all they do
- 1:46:10Speaker 2: now is run the ball and take deep shots.
- 1:46:13Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:46:14Speaker 5: I don't really think they've done it. I don't know
- 1:46:16Speaker 5: about the deep shots all year. Yeah, they've been throwing
- 1:46:18Speaker 5: the ball down for.
- 1:46:19Speaker 2: There was a play that everybody was, you know, sharing
- 1:46:23Speaker 2: on the X the last couple of days about the
- 1:46:27Speaker 2: crosser Drake. Drake decided to go to the sideline to
- 1:46:32Speaker 2: Henderson Henderson and he had booty crust.
- 1:46:34Speaker 5: Yeah, he didn't come off Henderson quickly enough when he
- 1:46:37Speaker 5: saw he was covered, and he threw it away And
- 1:46:39Speaker 5: I think he should have probably come off of that quicker.
- 1:46:43Speaker 5: But they've been throwing the ball downfield all year. It's
- 1:46:46Speaker 5: not like this dink and dunk offense.
- 1:46:48Speaker 2: No, he's saying what happened to it? I know, like,
- 1:46:50Speaker 2: why don't they do it?
- 1:46:52Speaker 7: I don't know they didn't. I think he's saying they
- 1:46:54Speaker 7: didn't do it in this game. I don't think they
- 1:46:55Speaker 7: all year.
- 1:46:56Speaker 2: No, that's what I think he's saying.
- 1:46:58Speaker 5: I think I mean I want them to keep doing
- 1:46:59Speaker 5: what they're doing this year, because you know why, dink
- 1:47:01Speaker 5: and dunk hasn't been productive. This has been wow. So
- 1:47:04Speaker 5: I want to take the production. Well, he's thirty one point.
- 1:47:06Speaker 2: He's saying they don't try it enough.
- 1:47:07Speaker 7: Dnking donk.
- 1:47:08Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll take scoring thirty one points and I'll take
- 1:47:10Speaker 5: my chances bus weeks.
- 1:47:11Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:47:12Speaker 5: I don't think offense was the in terms of production.
- 1:47:15Speaker 5: I don't think offense was the reason why you lost. Now,
- 1:47:18Speaker 5: you needed situational football in the second half from the
- 1:47:21Speaker 5: offense that you didn't get. That's why I was disappointed
- 1:47:24Speaker 5: in the offense Sunday. But I'm not going to be
- 1:47:27Speaker 5: silly and say I don't want them to score as much.
- 1:47:29Speaker 2: Do you think that Drake I think he makes now
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: all downfield in his stage of his career, is aware
- 1:47:38Speaker 2: of the easy profits.
- 1:47:40Speaker 5: Yes, at this point, Yes, I think he does not
- 1:47:43Speaker 5: like to do that, or should he be. I think
- 1:47:46Speaker 5: most young quarterbacks don't want to do that. They look,
- 1:47:48Speaker 5: they want to throw the ball downfield. It takes him
- 1:47:50Speaker 5: a while to sort of figure that out, you don't
- 1:47:53Speaker 5: think so. I think a lot of young quarterbacks want
- 1:47:55Speaker 5: to make plays.
- 1:47:57Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:47:58Speaker 5: Yeah, well, and then they realize, you know, you can
- 1:48:01Speaker 5: be efficient and you know, work it down the field.
- 1:48:04Speaker 5: But I think he's had so much success completing seventy
- 1:48:08Speaker 5: percent of his passes while he's throwing the ball downfield
- 1:48:10Speaker 5: as much as anybody in the league, it's hard to argue.
- 1:48:13Speaker 2: Yeah, Barton Poland says, I'm alive, recovering from surgery. It
- 1:48:17Speaker 2: should be fine.
- 1:48:18Speaker 7: Thanks this bart So, not this time.
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: Fred, not this time. Plus. Fred called the Panthers beating
- 1:48:24Speaker 2: the Saints a lock. Well, if he only read my
- 1:48:26Speaker 2: email saying that the Panthers lost twelve straight games in
- 1:48:29Speaker 2: which they were favored, he would have known better. Okay,
- 1:48:33Speaker 2: there's one. Yeah, I said it was ten weeks ago.
- 1:48:36Speaker 7: Okay, from ten weeks ago. It just happened. Oh the Panther,
- 1:48:40Speaker 7: Oh the Panthers just lost to the Saints.
- 1:48:42Speaker 2: Okay, was that just this week.
- 1:48:44Speaker 7: All right, that's what he's talking about.
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: Lock.
- 1:48:46Speaker 5: Yes, all right, he mocked me when I was thinking
- 1:48:48Speaker 5: about taking New Orleans. Oh, you're like, it's a lock.
- 1:48:52Speaker 5: I was like, okay, oh, and I said they already
- 1:48:55Speaker 5: lost to him once this year. Now they lost to
- 1:48:56Speaker 5: him twice.
- 1:48:57Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, well they got a s. It wasn't
- 1:49:00Speaker 2: a good week.
- 1:49:01Speaker 7: Both of those teams stink.
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: Was it a bad week for everybody?
- 1:49:04Speaker 18: Umm?
- 1:49:07Speaker 5: Just okay, it wasn't just okay? Yeah, nothing special? Yeah,
- 1:49:11Speaker 5: but not a not Well I can't really remember. I
- 1:49:15Speaker 5: think I did.
- 1:49:16Speaker 2: All right, Oh, you keep the book.
- 1:49:18Speaker 7: That's correct.
- 1:49:19Speaker 5: What do you think I'm making a comeback for I cheat?
- 1:49:24Speaker 2: Yes, people want to talk about this game.
- 1:49:26Speaker 5: Just so you know, if if there is ever any
- 1:49:29Speaker 5: cheating uncovered, please please know that it's completely an utterly
- 1:49:33Speaker 5: unintentional chore. I can't add unintentionally. I have no I
- 1:49:38Speaker 5: have math issues as I as I.
- 1:49:40Speaker 7: You know. In a little comeback, when we talked about
- 1:49:42Speaker 7: the All Star.
- 1:49:43Speaker 2: Breaks, figured off it's all for fun?
- 1:49:45Speaker 7: What six weeks was?
- 1:49:46Speaker 2: It's all for fun? Craig says. I had a professor
- 1:49:50Speaker 2: who told told us an exam where you score a
- 1:49:53Speaker 2: ninety eight means nothing. Students need to know where they
- 1:49:57Speaker 2: are lacking. Therefore, an exam where you fail communicates much more.
- 1:50:03Speaker 7: That's interesting.
- 1:50:04Speaker 2: How about getting a ninety eight means I actually learned
- 1:50:06Speaker 2: it right?
- 1:50:07Speaker 7: And it means would in that show that you you learn?
- 1:50:09Speaker 5: Why do you have to Why do you always have
- 1:50:12Speaker 5: to be needing to learn more in a you know,
- 1:50:15Speaker 5: in a finite subject like I'm not saying like everybody
- 1:50:19Speaker 5: should always be no one should ever be satisfied with
- 1:50:21Speaker 5: their knowledge in general, like you're always looking to learn more.
- 1:50:25Speaker 2: I don't I don't put that. Yeah, I don't know
- 1:50:27Speaker 2: if I subscribe to that anyway. Can this be applied
- 1:50:30Speaker 2: to the Patriot's loss to the Bills through the loss
- 1:50:32Speaker 2: of the areas of concern are obvious and can be
- 1:50:35Speaker 2: addressed well, Yes, of course you can learn from what
- 1:50:38Speaker 2: you didn't do right.
- 1:50:40Speaker 7: But you would have the same opportunity how they won
- 1:50:42Speaker 7: the game.
- 1:50:42Speaker 2: How about learning we are so good that it's time
- 1:50:45Speaker 2: to add on more. It's time to open up more
- 1:50:48Speaker 2: of the play like this learning and everything.
- 1:50:52Speaker 5: They could you not have learned that you could have
- 1:50:54Speaker 5: taken the ball with two minutes left, gone down the field,
- 1:50:56Speaker 5: scored in one thirty eight thirty five, when you have
- 1:50:58Speaker 5: learned something about how to, you know, sort of pick
- 1:51:01Speaker 5: yourself up and overcome the bad stuff that was going
- 1:51:04Speaker 5: on in the second half. What did you say everybody
- 1:51:07Speaker 5: wants to talk about the game that.
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: They still want to talk about the Bills game.
- 1:51:10Speaker 5: Yeah, it was a you know, it was one of
- 1:51:13Speaker 5: the rare big games that they've had.
- 1:51:15Speaker 7: You know, we're going to talk about the Giants, but.
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: You know, we got to have Mac Collins mindset, flush
- 1:51:22Speaker 2: the toilet, big shock. Nick Wright said he's out of Ohio.
- 1:51:28Speaker 2: Took the wife to the Scorpion Bar at Patriot Place
- 1:51:31Speaker 2: and it was fantastic.
- 1:51:32Speaker 7: Nice.
- 1:51:32Speaker 2: If I can sum up the game in one play
- 1:51:34Speaker 2: from Josh Allen versus the defense, it's the last play
- 1:51:38Speaker 2: where he audibled into the full back dive and got
- 1:51:40Speaker 2: the first down. That was a veteran move of reading
- 1:51:43Speaker 2: the defense and pushing through something that he obviously saw.
- 1:51:47Speaker 2: My two cents, I don't remember that.
- 1:51:50Speaker 5: I mean, I know the players talking about Ty Johnson
- 1:51:52Speaker 5: just ran it up the middle for a couple of yards.
- 1:51:54Speaker 7: Got the first.
- 1:51:57Speaker 2: Talk about audible.
- 1:52:00Speaker 14: That none of them look like Devin Henry. Hey, Mike,
- 1:52:03Speaker 14: what was it like in the locker room.
- 1:52:09Speaker 16: What was it like in.
- 1:52:11Speaker 1: The well, Mike, Yeah, I was busy again, another crazy Wednesday.
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: Oh I forgot about that.
- 1:52:18Speaker 7: Uh we're going few Wednesday now, I know.
- 1:52:21Speaker 1: Trying to cut back. So some things to report. Robert
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: Splint spot in a walking boot locker.
- 1:52:27Speaker 2: Room, hence the signing of the line back.
- 1:52:30Speaker 5: Yeah, well now I worry that Evan when he said
- 1:52:33Speaker 5: that maybe something happened in the pregame mmmmm, like like
- 1:52:37Speaker 5: a roma Jonesay, oh yeah, I didn't even think of that.
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: That's not good. But we also heard from Digs as
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: usual on Wednesday and you know, preaching the same message
- 1:52:49Speaker 1: he has. You know, we got to bounce back. It's
- 1:52:50Speaker 1: a really good team. Talked a little bit, not so
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: much overlap with Rabel, but is seeing how they they
- 1:52:57Speaker 1: the Ravens prey on bad football and that's you know,
- 1:52:59Speaker 1: something I know they're trying to instill here, but sounds
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: like that's definitely something they're trying to avoid, is the
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: negative plays, the turnovers, all those kind of things. But
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: everybody seems excited. I mean, Morgan was talk to him too,
- 1:53:12Speaker 1: Garrett Bradberry as well. Just turning the page and I
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: think everybody acknowledged, like, you know, we lost a tough game,
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: but we're still a good team. We all still believe
- 1:53:20Speaker 1: in each other and what we're gonna do. But we
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: got to pull up back together to play the Ravens
- 1:53:23Speaker 1: this weekend. I on Evan, I'll let him reveal the content,
- 1:53:26Speaker 1: but he was talking to Christian Barmo for a while.
- 1:53:29Speaker 5: So, oh, I can only imagine how many times you
- 1:53:31Speaker 5: got help. Now that one, to me is much more palatable.
- 1:53:34Speaker 5: All right, the player, Oh yeah, right, right, right, right now.
- 1:53:38Speaker 7: Different.
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: It doesn't have to be a weekly thing. But but
- 1:53:40Speaker 1: it was funny when even came over, He's like, he's
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: in a bad place. So so yeah, you know, I
- 1:53:46Speaker 1: tried to get back quick. We had a couple other
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: conversations going on, and we had to talk to some
- 1:53:50Speaker 1: of the guys in locker room stuf. But it was
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: good otherwise.
- 1:53:52Speaker 2: So back in the day when Belichick was coach, if
- 1:53:56Speaker 2: it was midweek and a guy was in a walking boot,
- 1:53:58Speaker 2: he probably wouldn't show up in the locker.
- 1:54:00Speaker 1: Room, right, I know, Well, I mean and and and
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: that's what I thought at first, And honestly, I was like,
- 1:54:04Speaker 1: I'm okay to say this right. I mean it happened
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: during little open locker and we walked right through. Everybody
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: saw him.
- 1:54:08Speaker 7: You can report what you see.
- 1:54:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: Yeah, So he walked through and then he but he
- 1:54:12Speaker 1: kind of like did like the little and then walked
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: out and I was like, that's an interesting But then
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: he was back in and just kind of hanging out
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: at the at the center table there talking.
- 1:54:21Speaker 2: No, you know, not just maybe it's just resting it.
- 1:54:23Speaker 5: Yeah, it might be just preventitive, you know, you want
- 1:54:25Speaker 5: to mobilize it, keep you know whatever.
- 1:54:27Speaker 2: Yeah, and it sounds like you'll be a game time
- 1:54:29Speaker 2: decision again.
- 1:54:30Speaker 7: I asked him, I would agree for.
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: I mean I would again, I would. It's a question
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: for Vrabel and I know he probably wouldn't give you
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: the response you want, but you know, do the coaching
- 1:54:38Speaker 1: staff consider, you know, we're trying to win the battle
- 1:54:40Speaker 1: or win the war here and this is you know,
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: it's it going to be great for him to go
- 1:54:43Speaker 1: out there and play sixty snaps trying to tackle Derrick
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: Henry on twenty or thirty of them, Like, I don't know,
- 1:54:49Speaker 1: it's some they're probably thinking about. But Chad Muma was
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: there as well, so he is getting ready to go
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: out there to practice. I'd be surprised to spilling practices.
- 1:54:56Speaker 2: How big is Muma.
- 1:54:58Speaker 1: He's kind of like a lot of their linebackers, not
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: that I probably like six two thirty in that range.
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: Is not a huge guy, more of a runner. I
- 1:55:07Speaker 1: know he was was a wyoming guy like Logan Wilson,
- 1:55:10Speaker 1: you know, the mobile inside linebacker's got like the llis
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: kind of listed six. That's a little bigger than I
- 1:55:17Speaker 1: was thought, actually thirty nine to be inact. But that's
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: didn't I mean, he walked by me, But that sounds
- 1:55:23Speaker 1: about right. I played a little bit. I watched a
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: little hit on the edge of the tiny bit. One
- 1:55:26Speaker 1: of those linebackers that can do at all. So we'll see.
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: I love pulse thing about him maybe being a you know,
- 1:55:32Speaker 1: at least getting thrown right in on special teams. Yeah,
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: you know, give some depth. Yeah, so we'll see what
- 1:55:38Speaker 1: the uh what the injury reports like today and how
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: many of these guys are banged up and actually make
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: it out there.
- 1:55:43Speaker 2: Yeah. So a crowded locker room, music playing.
- 1:55:47Speaker 1: No, no music playing, But you know there were Patriots
- 1:55:50Speaker 1: content team handing out like stockings. There were some There
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: was also some some NCAA bracket going on. I don't
- 1:55:57Speaker 1: know if we're going to do that again this year. I
- 1:55:59Speaker 1: think we did it last year, right with the with
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: the NCAA football playoffs.
- 1:56:02Speaker 5: We did I definitely did not.
- 1:56:03Speaker 1: You did not.
- 1:56:03Speaker 7: I did not.
- 1:56:06Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:56:06Speaker 7: You remember I would, I mean I would pretty firm.
- 1:56:09Speaker 1: I would have remembermember if I wanted to watch remember
- 1:56:12Speaker 1: doing some of that stuff. So that's just you know,
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: active time of year with with the holidays and everything.
- 1:56:16Speaker 1: So a lot lot going.
- 1:56:17Speaker 2: On, A lot going on. Okay, all right, so.
- 1:56:20Speaker 1: I interrupt something big that was going on.
- 1:56:21Speaker 5: No, No, just like going over some more of the
- 1:56:24Speaker 5: stuff people left over from the bills.
- 1:56:27Speaker 2: Still people want to talk about the bills. Yeah, uh,
- 1:56:30Speaker 2: let's see what uh Danny and Daytona wants to talk about.
- 1:56:36Speaker 2: What's up? Danny? Did I hit that right? Danny?
- 1:56:41Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:56:41Speaker 2: There you go.
- 1:56:44Speaker 20: If I love you guys, hear me now? So I
- 1:56:46Speaker 20: was thinking, so what if this year's here's kind of
- 1:56:49Speaker 20: a hypothetical. I don't usually come out with these, but
- 1:56:51Speaker 20: uh so one pitch that maybe held the defense. What
- 1:56:55Speaker 20: do you think about this take? If you know, Mike
- 1:56:59Speaker 20: Rabel goes back and to the jar and kind of
- 1:57:01Speaker 20: reaches for JJ Watt. I know he's on television. I
- 1:57:04Speaker 20: know he's probably getting paid millions of dollars doing CBS
- 1:57:08Speaker 20: broadcast like he was doing on Sunday, But what do
- 1:57:11Speaker 20: you guys think about JJ Watson? Then another candidate, if
- 1:57:14Speaker 20: you can remember, the Patriots did do this. It wasn't
- 1:57:16Speaker 20: with Mike Brabell. Belichick did this back in twenty fourteen.
- 1:57:20Speaker 20: They went did the same thing. They went and reached
- 1:57:22Speaker 20: and got Stephen Jackson in December.
- 1:57:24Speaker 2: Yeah, how did that work out?
- 1:57:25Speaker 9: We went to Yeah, it wasn't.
- 1:57:27Speaker 20: Yeah, it wasn't a great It wasn't a great thing,
- 1:57:29Speaker 20: but we did do that. And then the other person,
- 1:57:31Speaker 20: what about if they threw the bag at Aaron Donald
- 1:57:35Speaker 20: I'm talking about basically allowed him to come in do
- 1:57:38Speaker 20: whatever he wanted to do on defense and threw the
- 1:57:42Speaker 20: bag at him. I know he's he's lost a lot
- 1:57:44Speaker 20: of weight, he's not that playing weight. But what do
- 1:57:46Speaker 20: you think about those two kids, JJ and Aaron Donald?
- 1:57:49Speaker 20: Two two definite Hall of fame at all pro guys.
- 1:57:53Speaker 2: Yeah, like these big guys, once they stopped playing, they
- 1:57:58Speaker 2: either lose a lot of weight or they put on
- 1:58:00Speaker 2: a lot of weak them. They're just not the same
- 1:58:03Speaker 2: as when they were playing.
- 1:58:04Speaker 7: You know, I thought there's no other eating skinless chicken.
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: He's got glass.
- 1:58:09Speaker 2: I mean even even a quarterback. Rivers came in. He
- 1:58:11Speaker 2: had a gut, you know. Yeah, So I'm.
- 1:58:14Speaker 1: Gonna kicker.
- 1:58:17Speaker 2: At those interests. At those high contact positions like linemen,
- 1:58:21Speaker 2: it's it's tough to pick time off and come back
- 1:58:24Speaker 2: like that.
- 1:58:25Speaker 1: I thought he was pulling towards Matthew Judo.
- 1:58:28Speaker 2: Well, Judah has been playing, That's definitely.
- 1:58:30Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying. He just got cut today. Yeah,
- 1:58:32Speaker 5: wanted to bring him in for a veteran depth piece.
- 1:58:35Speaker 2: Yeah. That that that's a whole different story.
- 1:58:37Speaker 7: Roll sure, I mean J J. Watt hasn't played.
- 1:58:39Speaker 2: When you've been on the shelf for that long. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:58:42Speaker 2: you're not in playing shape. But it'll take you a
- 1:58:44Speaker 2: month just to get in playing shape. Robert is in Henderson.
- 1:58:48Speaker 2: I assume that's Las Vegas. What's up Robert?
- 1:58:54Speaker 4: Hey, Robert either.
- 1:58:56Speaker 21: I had a couple of quick questions just I was wondering.
- 1:59:01Speaker 21: So during the Bills game, I feel like Stefan Diggs
- 1:59:05Speaker 21: is not They're like not using, utilizing him correctly, like
- 1:59:10Speaker 21: he's being somewhat phased out of the office. I'm not
- 1:59:13Speaker 21: being phased out, but he's not in consistently as a
- 1:59:18Speaker 21: wide receiver one, and it seemed like they're not. The
- 1:59:21Speaker 21: receivers weren't getting separation, and I just felt like he
- 1:59:24Speaker 21: could have been in more often to be getting open
- 1:59:28Speaker 21: for Drake may. I don't know if this has been
- 1:59:30Speaker 21: a if you guys talked about this or not.
- 1:59:32Speaker 2: Ivan here, Like, I don't know what they would do.
- 1:59:34Speaker 7: It wasn't getting open, yeah, but was.
- 1:59:36Speaker 2: It because of single coverage or were they doubling.
- 1:59:38Speaker 5: They doubled him frequently in this game. They made sure
- 1:59:41Speaker 5: that he didn't do what he did in the first game. Yeah,
- 1:59:44Speaker 5: I mean just from a layman's perspective, But I think
- 1:59:48Speaker 5: this is another one of those things, like it just
- 1:59:50Speaker 5: has to be someone's fault, Like the Bills did a
- 1:59:53Speaker 5: good job. They did something entirely different in the second
- 1:59:56Speaker 5: half and they did in the first half, and the
- 1:59:57Speaker 5: Patriots weren't ready to deal with it. Sometimes the other
- 2:00:01Speaker 5: team wins, and I think this is as simple as that.
- 2:00:04Speaker 5: I don't think it's a blueprint because I don't think
- 2:00:06Speaker 5: it's just easy to just snap your fingers and change
- 2:00:09Speaker 5: everything you're doing at halftime. That's what Sean McDermott did
- 2:00:12Speaker 5: in this game. I give him a lot of credit.
- 2:00:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I think, I think. I think fans just want
- 2:00:17Speaker 2: to find the reasons to understand are they fixable? Is
- 2:00:21Speaker 2: this you know, is it something that we can't overcome,
- 2:00:25Speaker 2: or is.
- 2:00:25Speaker 7: It anything is fixable?
- 2:00:27Speaker 2: Well not for all teams.
- 2:00:29Speaker 5: No, I'm talking about Yeah, as long as you have
- 2:00:32Speaker 5: a quarterback who's who's good, anything is fixable.
- 2:00:35Speaker 7: Drake May didn't play well Sunday.
- 2:00:37Speaker 5: I mean, he's played thirteen pretty good games and he
- 2:00:41Speaker 5: played this one well.
- 2:00:42Speaker 2: And that's the thing. If you just mean, if the
- 2:00:43Speaker 2: offense had just been a little better in the second half,
- 2:00:46Speaker 2: you win.
- 2:00:47Speaker 7: The games in four yeah, not so good games, you.
- 2:00:49Speaker 2: Win the game if you're just a little better in
- 2:00:51Speaker 2: the second half offensively.
- 2:00:53Speaker 7: Right, Yeah, that's right. You lose.
- 2:00:55Speaker 2: It's that simple.
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: When you lose, it's easy to lose sight of how
- 2:00:58Speaker 1: it looked when it was good. And you know, this
- 2:01:00Speaker 1: is a team that is still good and can play
- 2:01:02Speaker 1: well and has better talent than they showed them. But
- 2:01:04Speaker 1: they got to execute.
- 2:01:06Speaker 2: I wonder, like you know, like there's a lot of
- 2:01:08Speaker 2: good teams that have lost the bad teams this year. Like,
- 2:01:12Speaker 2: what are those fans say after those games? I guess
- 2:01:14Speaker 2: it's the same.
- 2:01:15Speaker 5: Yeah, rights one of them, Yeah exactly. They lost to
- 2:01:18Speaker 5: a two win Raiders team. Yeah, I mean, it just
- 2:01:21Speaker 5: happened so long ago that people forget that it happened.
- 2:01:23Speaker 2: Well, we didn't know we were good back then.
- 2:01:25Speaker 5: But we're still eleven and three and you lost to
- 2:01:27Speaker 5: the Raiders, who have the like the second worst point
- 2:01:30Speaker 5: differential in football, to only Tennessee.
- 2:01:32Speaker 1: And there's been some of those on the Brady Ara too.
- 2:01:34Speaker 1: The for Miami loss.
- 2:01:37Speaker 5: It happens, it happens.
- 2:01:39Speaker 7: Mike, Yeah, yes, Mike, so my name.
- 2:01:44Speaker 2: All right, we'll be back tomorrow. Raven's coming up on
- 2:01:47Speaker 2: Sunday night. It's gonna be a good one. But we'll
- 2:01:51Speaker 2: have a lot more to talk about tomorrow. I'm sure.
- 2:01:54Speaker 2: Anything else that makes it no picks tomorrow. Oh and
- 2:01:58Speaker 2: the Baltimore information for the party you have.
- 2:02:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I said it yesterday. We can say it
- 2:02:02Speaker 1: again tomorrow.
- 2:02:03Speaker 2: Okay, we'll say it tomorrow. Save that for tomorrow. Yeah,
- 2:02:05Speaker 2: so that'll be a big tease for tomorrow.
- 2:02:07Speaker 7: Yeah, they have to make sure they come back and listen.
- 2:02:08Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, thanks for listening today.
