- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Launch week is here for StallionEastSearch.com.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: After 21 years of being at the top of the online totem pole, when it comes to the electronic form of quarter horse racing, in the central everything quarter voice racing, it was about time for reboot.
- 0:16SPEAKER_15: And it's just another forward-thinking measure taken by StallionSearch.com to racing the bar higher and higher.
- 0:23SPEAKER_03: It's launched.
- 0:25SPEAKER_03: It's doomed to be the talk of the industry.
- 0:27SPEAKER_03: And it's to be discussed here on another feature that's the talk of the industry.
- 0:31SPEAKER_03: It's this podcast.
- 0:32SPEAKER_03: Quarter Force Racing Talk.
- 0:37SPEAKER_07: And hello again, everyone.com.
- 0:41SPEAKER_07: Another exciting week of racing as I'm headed over to Kentucky to recap the Boco Futurity trials as well as the Bluegrass Derby at the very brand new racetrack there at Sandy Ridge in Ashland, Kentucky.
- 0:54SPEAKER_07: And I can tell you, it wasn't disappointing at all.
- 0:56SPEAKER_07: Absolutely, I think they did a great job of rolling out this racetrack there in Ashland.
- 1:01SPEAKER_07: It was a very successful day of racing here in Ashland, as we have a lot of things happening in the industry, including here in our house here at stalionesearch.com as we rolled out the brand new stallionysearch.com for the quarterhorse racing world to take it all in and maneuver through and look at all the new features that we have.
- 1:21SPEAKER_07: And why not get the team of stalionesearch.com all together and get them on the phone to talk about the new direction that we are going with this brand new website, all the new added features, or at least as many as we can fit in in this period of time in the podcast and talk in great length.
- 1:39SPEAKER_07: I can guarantee you, those that are listening that are interested in stalliuneseearch.com that go on it all the time and use it other than just looking at the headline news on the front page.
- 1:50SPEAKER_07: I guarantee you this is going to be an educational of what this site can do.
- 1:55SPEAKER_07: And of course, you know I'm already biased.
- 1:57SPEAKER_07: I already think that stalunesearch.com in the present form for the last 10 years has been the Ferrari of the industry.
- 2:04SPEAKER_07: And so how do I compare it moving forward?
- 2:07SPEAKER_07: What is the new Stalin ESearch?
- 2:10SPEAKER_07: I would say it's a brand new Ferrari.
- 2:13SPEAKER_07: A brand new Ferrari race car is a maybe another way of explaining just how awesome this new website is and how much you're going to like it here.
- 2:21SPEAKER_07: And we're here to discuss it here on Stalineseearch.com's podcast, quarter horse racing talk weekly.
- 2:28SPEAKER_07: So let me get out of the way and get to the commercials.
- 2:30SPEAKER_07: Of course, we got a great recap section as well.
- 2:33SPEAKER_07: And looking forward to the upcoming big weekend of racing across the country here in the preview section with me and Yancy Diimon.
- 2:41SPEAKER_07: And so don't go away, we'll be right back after these words.

- 3:58SPEAKER_02: All right, back to the show.
- 4:01SPEAKER_07: All right, ready to jump in with our featured guest.
- 4:03SPEAKER_07: Joining me from ItalyESearch.com is David Smith and Leanne Naguerra, who both have worked tirelessly getting this website to the point where it is and getting it out to the quarter horse racing world in such a time frame that is astonishing, as we beat most of the projections of from the production company in order to get this out to the quarter horse racing world.
- 4:26SPEAKER_07: And here we are going into the all-American futurity with a new site for all the quarter horse racing world to enjoy and to get familiar with.
- 4:34SPEAKER_07: And without further ado, let's get on with both of them and talk about some of the great things that await the viewer here on Stiny Search.
- 4:46SPEAKER_07: David Leanne, thanks for joining us here on the Quarter Horse Racing Talk weekly podcast and discussing our big project that's come to fruition.
- 4:54SPEAKER_10: Thanks for having us, Greg.
- 4:56SPEAKER_08: Thanks, Greg.
- 4:56SPEAKER_08: Glad to be here.
- 4:58SPEAKER_07: Yeah, and I know you're both ecstatic to be on here uh with me.
- 5:01SPEAKER_07: But uh so, David, I'm gonna start with you.
- 5:05SPEAKER_07: So we have a new website.
- 5:07SPEAKER_07: Uh this, of course, airs two days after our launch.
- 5:10SPEAKER_07: Kind of get in the basis of why why did we need a new website?
- 5:15SPEAKER_10: Well, you know, Stan ESearch has been around for I think this is our 21st year this year, and uh the platform it was built on uh is 20 years old.
- 5:28SPEAKER_10: And so three or four years ago, the Jockey Club began talking to us about it.
- 5:34SPEAKER_10: Some point we're gonna have to look at figuring out a new platform to uh you know keep up with the internet, and so uh not wanting to wake up some morning and half of our site not working, uh we probably started working on this project uh a couple of years ago.
- 5:53SPEAKER_10: Pretty long project, uh with a lot of people involved, and we are glad that we're gonna be on a brand new platform that I think everybody's gonna love.
- 6:04SPEAKER_08: Well, I came on board with Dani Church about probably two, two and a half years ago full time.
- 6:13SPEAKER_08: And you know, there was a lot to be done to get this rolling.
- 6:18SPEAKER_08: You know, David was a little apprehensive because you know, it's a big job and we have a product that wasn't broken.
- 6:25SPEAKER_08: It's it's been great, it's just the way of the future.
- 6:28SPEAKER_08: And so I kind of had to talk him into it a little bit.
- 6:31SPEAKER_08: I begged him.
- 6:32SPEAKER_08: And finally he he jumped off and uh we started working on it, like you said, about two years ago, and it's just been a a big work in progress, and um, here we are.
- 6:42SPEAKER_07: David, one of the stories you shared with me is that uh the programmers over at the jockey club were discussing that they actually have to go back and relearn some of the old programming in order to have handled some of the old stuff on our website.
- 6:57SPEAKER_07: They're more in tune on on, of course, where the current modern website is is right at this moment, but they actually had to go relearn how to do the old thing back in the day.
- 7:08SPEAKER_10: Yeah, when we started this, uh gosh, there were actually two people I worked with at the jockey club, you know, they were just programmers, and I would uh lay out stuff on Photoshop of what I wanted something to look like and email it to them, and I would get on the phone and say, okay, I want this to do this.
- 7:30unknown: And they would take my Photoshop pages and you know, turn them into HTML.
- 7:35SPEAKER_10: And then over the years, as we kept adding more and more things, such as our qualifiers list, our cell results, all those kind of things, we just kept adding on, adding on, adding on.
- 7:47SPEAKER_10: As different programming languages changed, you know, some of it would be in some kind of language and some of it would be in another part.
- 7:55SPEAKER_10: And so it was just kind of piecemealed together over, you know, 20 years where this uh new site is brand new platform that's gonna last us another 20 years, and we're like really excited about uh you know what people are gonna see and how they're gonna be able to use this new site.
- 8:15SPEAKER_08: When I came on board, I looked at the uh back end of the website and I've I've worked on a lot of websites.
- 8:22SPEAKER_08: I've I've worked uh I've been on a lot of different projects on the back end and content management system.
- 8:29SPEAKER_08: And I looked at the back end of the website and I was like, uh I've never seen anything like it.
- 8:35SPEAKER_08: Because he started so long ago, you know, when he was a pioneer of it, you know, nobody else had a website quite like this.
- 8:42SPEAKER_08: So like you said, it was pieced together and I I you know, I I made a lot of comments.
- 8:48SPEAKER_08: I just never had worked on something like that.
- 8:50SPEAKER_08: So now we have a really a brand new content management system that you know it drives like a Ferrari and uh it's I'm really excited to start using that.
- 9:01SPEAKER_07: Well, would you say it was like a 74 Buick back in the day before it became a well I love 74 Buick.
- 9:11SPEAKER_10: I I would say the Jockey Club just it took a they they have a three-month project of just going through the old site, uh through every line of code to come back to be able to give us a bid and what we needed to do for a new site.
- 9:28SPEAKER_10: And uh we literally had like over a million lines of code that you know in the old site that we had to just you know redo all that and we had uh to uh bring the history that we had in the 20 years, we didn't want to lose that.
- 9:49SPEAKER_10: So we spent a lot of money bringing most of that stuff, you know, with us.
- 9:54SPEAKER_10: So when you go to the the news site, you'll still be able to have access to a lot of uh the uh all the sales data for the last you know uh 15, 16 years.
- 10:06SPEAKER_10: Um uh all party races.
- 10:09SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 10:10SPEAKER_10: So when you know things like that.
- 10:13SPEAKER_07: So when we decided to put this all together, there was a game plan and kind of several Powell situations where we thought about things that we wanted to improve and things that we wanted to continue on and make sure that because in in the long run, we wanted to make sure it felt and it drove just like what stallionesearch.com has always done that the person that's going on on a daily basis.
- 10:36SPEAKER_07: Sometimes I've heard people go on it 13, 14, twelve twenty times a day.
- 10:42SPEAKER_07: Uh those types of people, we wanted them to it we wanted it to feel familiar with them.
- 10:48SPEAKER_07: So, but when we were all putting this together, Leanne and David, what were some of the things that you wanted to improve and you were looking to continue on?
- 10:57SPEAKER_08: Well, I would say one of the biggest things we wanted to improve upon is our sales database.
- 11:05SPEAKER_08: We are the only people out there that have a database um that's this complete, that's searchable, that you can go and find not only the horse's name by Dan, by Sire, by sex.
- 11:22SPEAKER_08: There's a lot of new features that we added to that.
- 11:25SPEAKER_08: But we also added um the self database to each stallion's page.
- 11:31SPEAKER_08: So that's one of the biggest features that I'm so excited about sharing with everybody is our self database on the stallion pages, and where you can look it up by sex, uh, wearly, different different options.
- 11:46SPEAKER_10: Well, I wanted I wanted to continue the tradition of uh, you know, these the st again the stallion pages, but add to that uh and besides the you know, where you can now search uh Stallion sale information on his page.
- 12:02SPEAKER_10: Uh there's also uh a rankings uh uh tab on his page, so you can see all the stars lists that he's ranked on uh from there.
- 12:13SPEAKER_10: And then another thing is our old site, the stallion's female line, got updated once a year.
- 12:20SPEAKER_10: This those are gonna be updated monthly now, uh, and the uh progeny reports are gonna be updated week to week.
- 12:28SPEAKER_08: The stallion rankings will be updated daily, and that's a new feature that we will have.
- 12:34SPEAKER_08: Uh each stallion will show not only the um you know overall ranking, but also uh leading fires by two-year-olds, leading first year, second year, third year fires, and one of our newest features is leading all-time fires.
- 12:53SPEAKER_08: So we have that list obviously in our leading rearboard list, but also it's gonna go on each individual stallion page where you can see where that stallion ranked in the leading siers list.
- 13:05SPEAKER_08: So that's a really fun new feature that we didn't have before.
- 13:08SPEAKER_10: And also on that all-time list, something that's new besides the leading size.
- 13:13SPEAKER_10: We also have the all-time leading brewbinner siers, and we also have for the first time the all-time leading dams.
- 13:20SPEAKER_10: So you're gonna be able to see the top 50 uh dams uh by earnings, you know, of what they produced.
- 13:27SPEAKER_10: Uh, and then we also have the all-time leading uh money earners list that uh we hadn't had in the past.
- 13:34SPEAKER_10: So you'll be able to see the top 50 uh quarter horses by uh earnings.
- 13:40SPEAKER_08: All these lists update daily, and there's not anywhere else in the industry that you can find those updated daily, and the all-time leading fires do not update daily.
- 13:53SPEAKER_08: Anywhere else that I've seen that I know of, they're all yearly updates.
- 13:57SPEAKER_08: That's a big deal.
- 13:58SPEAKER_07: It is a big deal.
- 13:59SPEAKER_07: One of the things you also pointed out to me, Leanne, is that and you you had mentioned it in a meeting with me and David, is that there's just so many features, and as you already mentioned earlier in this discussion, is that styling eSearch necessarily wasn't broken.
- 14:13SPEAKER_07: Uh, we're actually converting over to a the new website when the old website still was functioning.
- 14:20SPEAKER_07: We're just improving and and moving into the future with this new site.
- 14:24SPEAKER_07: But one of the things that you had pointed out, there were so many features uh that existed on the the old site uh that probably were very underutilized.
- 14:34SPEAKER_07: And the fact of the matter is we got the opportunity with this new website to kind of point some of those features out and maybe have them rise to the top of of some of the uh things that people didn't realize that uh Stallion eSearch was capable of doing this, and now because you know it's going to be like a reintroduction, or or better yet, it's the first time that they're actually going to see it on this new site, and but it in fact it actually existed on the old.
- 15:02SPEAKER_08: Let me tell you something.
- 15:03SPEAKER_08: I have been a stallion eSearch user for or 20 years.
- 15:09SPEAKER_08: I've been a Stallion eSearch user for 20 years, and I mean I went to it every single day before I started working for Stalin ESearch and and now too.
- 15:19SPEAKER_08: When I came on board, I there were so many features that I had never even seen.
- 15:25SPEAKER_08: And I've been using it every day for a very long time.
- 15:28SPEAKER_08: And so I think that this new platform is going to you know, a lot I think a lot of people are gonna look at it and think, oh, they got a whole lot of new stuff, but they've never seen it because they just they you know, it's just been a a a work in progress over the years, so some some things were hidden and things like that.
- 15:46SPEAKER_08: So I think that it's gonna open up a lot of new features that people haven't even seen, but it's always been there.
- 15:53SPEAKER_10: I I think the the sales section is is what's gonna really blow people away.
- 15:58SPEAKER_10: Uh a lot of that's been there before, but it's a lot of it we've got new uh things that they can search by and everything, but you can go back and search, you know, all the sales and searching by SARS, you can search by dams, you can search by a horse.
- 16:14SPEAKER_10: If you're looking to buy a horse, you can put his name in and find out how many times he sold before at auction and where and how much they brought.
- 16:22SPEAKER_10: Uh there's just a lot of stuff.
- 16:24SPEAKER_10: There's a section there, state of the market.
- 16:28SPEAKER_10: So you can actually go and look uh over the last ten years how the quarter horse racing business, you know, markets doing, you know, uh and compare it year by year of uh buy yearlings, greenlings, you know, embryos, uh brood mares to compare and see how the market, you know, is doing in the business, or you're wanting to get in the business is a great place to find that information uh called State of the Market that a lot that a lot of people probably never seen before.
- 16:59SPEAKER_02: And we'll be right back after these words.
- 17:03SPEAKER_04: A tremendously talented stallion roster of Roboshow Ranch.
- 17:06SPEAKER_04: Grade 1 producing Apolitical Blood, multiple stakesire, and grade one winning Gold Heart Eagle V, the sire of leading three-year-old beautiful, Kavian Corona, AQHA Champion Sire tempting Dash, and the All-American Juvenile winning Visa, all standing in Broadbridge, Louisiana.
- 17:24SPEAKER_05: Check out the Eagles Fly Hire yearling and the Riadoso Select sale.
- 17:28SPEAKER_05: Hip number 325, who is a half-sibling to multiple stakes winners, and who has a catalog page littered with black type up and down the page.
- 17:37SPEAKER_05: Check her out, the Philly, hip number 325, high flying sign at the Riadoso Select Sale, a daughter of Eagles Fly Higher.
- 17:45SPEAKER_07: And he stands at Lacer in Opalousis, Louisiana.
- 17:49SPEAKER_02: All right, back to the show.
- 17:53SPEAKER_08: Another new feature that we have that I think people are gonna love is our calendar section.
- 17:59SPEAKER_08: Uh, you know, whenever we we write race stories for every single stakes race out there.
- 18:04SPEAKER_08: And I came on board and David did this for years by himself.
- 18:09SPEAKER_08: And when I came on to help, uh, I started out writing stories, and that's what I was doing freelance at first.
- 18:16SPEAKER_08: And I had no way of knowing what stakes races were going on.
- 18:21SPEAKER_08: So I made a spreadsheet.
- 18:22SPEAKER_08: So for years we've been using using an Excel spreadsheet to help keep track of all the stakes races coming up.
- 18:31SPEAKER_08: So that is going to be a brand new feature on our website that has all the stakes races, the racing meets, also uh all the stallion auctions, and the sale stakes.
- 18:43SPEAKER_08: So that's a really new uh big feature that's new that I'm excited about.
- 18:48SPEAKER_08: And David didn't want to do it.
- 18:50SPEAKER_08: He didn't, and I talked him into it now, he loves it.
- 18:53SPEAKER_10: Yeah, I love it now.
- 18:54SPEAKER_10: It's great.
- 18:55SPEAKER_10: Another exciting thing about the stakes calendar is we're gonna have the capability if the racetracks want to add their nomination forms, because you know, horsemen are always looking for nomination forms.
- 19:07SPEAKER_10: We're able to attach that nomination form right by that race, you know, if the tracks want to put those out there, you know, where people can get to them.
- 19:16SPEAKER_07: So when we had the planning stages, guys, we had plenty of other websites that we could kind of look out, and especially, you know, that's the thoroughbred side is very prevalent in the racing industry, and there's several great websites out there.
- 19:30SPEAKER_07: And we had the opportunity to kind of look at some of those other websites that other than ours and kind of look about what we like about this one and like about that one.
- 19:40SPEAKER_07: As an example, the Jockey Club Information Systems actually owns the blood horse, and so their programming was in the ballpark of ours, uh same company actually produces it.
- 19:52SPEAKER_07: So some of the top features that we saw and liked on some of those pages, we incorporated into this new version of Stalinesearch.
- 20:01SPEAKER_08: This is where you know we did, you know, the the old website, David uh designed to look kind of like the blood horse or had some ideas from them, but you know, there was a lot of things we did like about the blood horse.
- 20:14SPEAKER_08: But David can tell you more about that.
- 20:16SPEAKER_10: Yeah, I think we looked at the we looked at the blood horse because it's you know one of the top sites out there.
- 20:22SPEAKER_10: Uh, but we ended up deciding, you know, people were used to using our site, so we wanted to keep it where when the first time they saw it, they were still familiar and could kind of find their way, you know, around.
- 20:34SPEAKER_10: We did take a little from the blood horse, but I think we ended up in the the long run uh deciding it more for our, you know, what our users uh uh would be looking for whenever they open up the site.
- 20:48SPEAKER_07: So one of the things that we were definitely good looking into and doing our due diligence and doing the research on, we we went into all the statistics as well as who's looking at the website and how are they looking at the website as most important.
- 21:04SPEAKER_07: And there were some great, interesting findings come out of those stats, guys.
- 21:08SPEAKER_08: Well, when I started, you know, we have Google Analytics, we've always had Google Analytics, or David has.
- 21:15SPEAKER_08: Uh when I started looking at the numbers, it was astounding how many people were actually looking at our non-mobile webs on the phone.
- 21:25SPEAKER_08: And, you know, just talking to people out in the industry, uh, one of the biggest things that I have heard from people is that we are not mobile friendly.
- 21:36SPEAKER_08: And so if you can imagine, I mean, you're a user, people out there, you guys using um search forever, you have to look at it, stare at it, take your little finger and squish it up and move around.
- 21:48SPEAKER_08: And uh it's just gonna be so much easier.
- 21:50SPEAKER_08: So when I was looking at the numbers on Google Analytics, it showed that 70% of people coming to our site were actually looking at at us on mobile devices.
- 22:02SPEAKER_08: And the majority of them were Apple, if anybody cares about that, I'm an Apple eater.
- 22:06SPEAKER_08: But it was it was a um an astounding number, you know, so and it makes sense.
- 22:13SPEAKER_08: You know, people wake up in the morning, they still do sit down at their computer and you know have their cup of coffee and uh look at us, you know, read read the news, go about their morning business.
- 22:24SPEAKER_08: But then if they're out and about and somebody calls and they want to find out who was a high seller or they want to go look up on a stallion page and what his project was because he's in the barn talking to his buddy or whatever the case may be, they were they're using the phone right there in the barn.
- 22:39SPEAKER_08: So it just makes it so much easier.
- 22:41SPEAKER_08: And uh you know with this day and age it's pretty obvious everybody uses their phone for everything.
- 22:47SPEAKER_08: So we've made it uh to where it's still kind of the same feel on uh the desktop we wanted to make sure that people could still navigate and find the the things in the right places that they're so used to.
- 23:02SPEAKER_08: It's obviously got a makeover and looks different but uh we tried to keep it somewhat the same but the mobile is going to be completely different.
- 23:10SPEAKER_08: It's going to blow people away.
- 23:12SPEAKER_10: It's almost like an app you would use for you know any kind of app people people are used to using it's it's just it's amazing um how easy it is to find things readable the the percent of people using it are okay another great thing about the mobile app is uh the member stallion pages uh on the phone now when you go to a member stallion page uh it literally looks like they just have their own page made for the mobile just like they have their own page on the desktop and uh uh everything's one tap one tap to look at their progeny their auction results their rankings their pedigree their race record and one tap if they want to contact the farm uh and inquire about a breeding to the stallion so the I think people are going to love that.
- 24:07SPEAKER_07: Absolutely putting it in one spot and the most important part of envision you're going through the shed row there at the Ridos of sale or the Heritage Place sale and you're wanting to look up those stale sales statistics in the past you would have had to gone down on the front page all the way to the bottom to the sales where it has that search results feature there and then you would have to go and and type in a bunch of information where now you can actually do that off of the stallion pages.
- 24:34SPEAKER_08: Pertaining to that stallion yes yes and or you know it's also from the phone if you want to look up anybody it's just one click away it's right there in your face.
- 24:45SPEAKER_08: Also what we tried to keep in mind is our advertisers because without them we wouldn't be able to give all this great information for free to the world uh so as everybody knows we have a lot of advertising on our pages this is how we keep it alive and we were able to keep all of the advertising on the desktop pretty much the same where it was and actually have a few more extra places for people to advertise and make that work in the mobile setting which is amazing because if anybody's ever changed over to mobile it's really hard to um work in your advertising so we're able to keep all that extra advertising that's on the desktop also into the mobile.
- 25:31SPEAKER_10: Yeah we spent a lot of time uh and thought on our advertisers when we were designing the mobile side because we wanted to make sure that they were well included in the mobile as they were at the desktop.
- 25:44SPEAKER_07: And as mentioned you guys have gone through so many f new features there and there's still we could sit here and take up way more time of to going through a a laundry list of the new things that are on the new styleesearch.com website.
- 26:00SPEAKER_07: Leanne I'm gonna go with you first you know like I said you could you're probably as as anybody in the entire world of being able to spout out all the things that are new on the website you're the person I would ask you to narrow it down to maybe a few what are some of the things that really excite you about this new website?
- 26:21SPEAKER_08: Well the fact that our qualifiers I think our qualifiers are one of our most utilized pages and our qualifiers are are very easily accessible now and not only that but they're archived and you can search for them.
- 26:39SPEAKER_08: So you can search through our archive there's a search tab at the top you can search for any qualifier any race result you put in the name of a horse our website's going to be completely searchable which that's a really good new feature that we have is that you can search through all these things because people may not remember the name of a horse or they may not remember partial name or they don't know what race that horse ran in or the full name of the race.
- 27:07SPEAKER_08: So you can or they just may not even know where it exists on our site.
- 27:11SPEAKER_08: So they they can go into the search feature and search for it and it'll take them to the qualifiers list.
- 27:17SPEAKER_08: It'll take them to that quick stake list.
- 27:20SPEAKER_10: An another great thing about the qualifiers list that's new that we've added is you can now see the trial number and where the horse finished in the trial that wasn't on our old site of that feature.
- 27:36SPEAKER_08: Along with the cell information that we have for uh if the horse you know sold uh as a yearling in the cell it gives the cell and how much he bought in the cell those those sale prices are also on the quick stakes results uh so not only on the qualifier races but any first second and third place horse that place um also has the sell results on our quick stakes.
- 28:03SPEAKER_08: And another thing about our quick stakes I don't think I don't I didn't know this existed when I started we have the quick stakes tab but we also have the weekly results.
- 28:15SPEAKER_08: So it has allowance maiden trials every horse that's won in in the industry for that whole week you can go and look them up.
- 28:26SPEAKER_08: So that's another feature that I think is going to be more prominent not that it's brand new but it's going to be more prominent and people will be able to recognize it more uh especially on mobile.
- 28:36SPEAKER_10: Well speaking of the wake weekly race results something that I think people love because we're always excited about the two year olds in the spring and you want to see the maiden winners well when you go to that maiden tab those races are in order by sire.
- 28:50SPEAKER_10: So you can literally just scroll down the list and you can see you know a political jest how many maiden winners he had that week and what track they were at.
- 28:59SPEAKER_10: So but it's in alphabetical order by the stallions and you can see every maiden winner that was in the last seven days.
- 29:06SPEAKER_08: I'll tell you another really uh uh a new feature that's really awesome is videos.
- 29:12SPEAKER_08: Um multiple different types of videos that we have but videos on every single race.
- 29:18SPEAKER_08: Uh we used to only be able to show three or five I think at a time and then we went up to ten in the last year but now every single stakes story that we write which is every single one of them will have a race replay video as long as Robert's communications is at that track.
- 29:40SPEAKER_08: So if they're at that track recording that video we've got it on our site every single one of them and they're gonna stay there.
- 29:47SPEAKER_08: They used to before they would go away once the next stakes race came up so they're gonna be there forever.
- 29:53SPEAKER_08: We're gonna have those videos on the site forever and that's a really big feature that I'm excited about.
- 29:59SPEAKER_07: David if I could have a nickel for every time I've received a call in the last 16 years of hey there was a story that was done on my horse two years ago and I there was a a video attached to it how can I find that this feature is awesome.
- 30:14SPEAKER_07: This this will eliminate a lot of like where is it type stuff or I can't find it I can't see it.
- 30:21SPEAKER_07: So that the without a doubt Leanne that's one of the top features of being able to have like a a house for all of this to live.
- 30:28SPEAKER_08: Yeah and speaking of videos all the videos that you and over the years um they've always kind of lived on our site but they haven't been organized properly or they haven't been organized in a a searchable way.
- 30:44SPEAKER_08: And so now all of our videos I mean we have we have I didn't know we had this many videos.
- 30:50SPEAKER_08: Now you can go look at them by organization.
- 30:53SPEAKER_08: They're major stakes cell videos challenge race videos digital shorts fire profiles all the cool things that we do are now very organized and searchable.
- 31:06SPEAKER_07: I've forgotten how many we had Leanne that's how many we have all of Greg's work for the last 15 years.
- 31:14SPEAKER_07: And we'll be right back after these words Uncle Diding third crop sire in the country not only a grade one winner but a grade one producer giving you 5000 reasons to look at Uncle D yearlings at this upcoming summer sale check out the four yearlings at the Riadoza Select Yearlings Dale.
- 31:39SPEAKER_07: It stands at prestige decline in Roswell New Mexico for painting the next generation of runners Uncle D.
- 31:49SPEAKER_07: Heads up quarter horse racing world two words two totals done ranch for sales prepping your yearlings and breeding stock it's done ranch.
- 31:59SPEAKER_07: For world class levels of mercare from embryo transfer, eight cycle management to falling out services, it's done ranch.
- 32:07SPEAKER_07: And then there's the top stallions in the country they're in Winniewood Oklahoma from grade one winning and grade one producing fire a revenue a political victory who's the brother to two times champion a political fence the red hot grade one producing fire Toledos the multiple grade one plays in hot pursuit the great stakes winning son of one famous Eagle June and the grade one producing fire VYC fun and fancy it's Dun Ranch.
- 32:32SPEAKER_07: They're in Winningwood Oklahoma check them out at Dunranch.com all right back to the show.
- 32:39SPEAKER_07: So now that we have this great new website guys the give us some of the steps that we're going to take of actually getting this out to the world in the quarter horse racing world and actually educating us how to maneuver this brand new website and maybe some of the events that are coming up that we're going to be accessible to for anybody that wants to come up and and either talk to us about the new website or actually ask us how to do something.
- 33:08SPEAKER_10: Okay we're we're planning to have a kind of a special rollout during the Heritage Place here Linksville Nokoma City we're gonna be there for all four days uh where people can come up to our office and we'll help them download an app uh on their phone.
- 33:23SPEAKER_10: We're gonna have some giveaways uh and we'll go through the phone and show them you know all the new features and you know the fastest way to find them and all that.
- 33:35SPEAKER_10: And then we're also gonna have a uh tab on the website uh Greg's putting together some uh how-to videos how to find leading stars how to find cell horses that uh are gonna be on the website and you'll have access to those where they can just click them and watch a video that shows them how to go find something on the site.
- 33:59SPEAKER_08: We will also be at some industry events and always be happy to answer any questions.
- 34:06SPEAKER_08: There's a lot that's gone into this website and a lot of blood, sweat and tears so we're we're excited to tell everybody about it.
- 34:14SPEAKER_07: Okay one of the things I think that we can safely say is one of our greatest traits at Sign ESearch is our ability to adapt to the industry and we've shown it over the years David and and Leanne coming on board is is really just absolutely supercharged it.
- 34:31SPEAKER_07: Uh moving into the future now that we're rolling out what we think is our absolutely without a doubt the industry leading website out there and mobile site.
- 34:42SPEAKER_07: Now what do we do with it?
- 34:44SPEAKER_07: Where where are we expanding into the future and and what is it something that's that's different from say like what we would have done five years ago until as compared to what we are doing today.
- 34:54SPEAKER_08: That you know with the way that our industry is changing so much we have not only we have a lot of new races going on we ha everybody is trying to do the new and expanded most innovative idea and social media has become such a big huge part of everyday life uh you know I have studied uh the the different countries and who uses what you know in this country in the United States in in the horse racing industry and that's only this horse racing industry I would still venture to say that Facebook is probably the most pronounced TikTok obviously for short run videos where but people still go to Facebook for their informational stuff because you can supply so much more information.
- 35:45SPEAKER_08: Instagram is also uh becoming somewhat prominent but Instagram is huge in Brazil.
- 35:53SPEAKER_08: So most of our Brazilian clients um look at the Instagram accounts like our Instagram shows more Brazil than any other country.
- 36:02SPEAKER_08: Our biggest goal after launching the website I in my opinion is to coincide what we have with our social media accounts and start building those to get bigger and more prominent so that we have the best product out there.
- 36:20SPEAKER_08: And it's a work in progress you know we're a very small group of people like Christine search and it takes a an incredible amount of time to put all that effort into social media but we're working on it and I think that's where we can get a lot better and where we have gotten a lot better and where we will continue to get better.
- 36:39SPEAKER_10: Leanne can you talk a little bit about you know I I had a weekly newsletter that um I've probably had for 20 years along with the site and it was mainly I started just to get people to you know uh come to the site.
- 36:54SPEAKER_10: Leanne has taken that over since she came on board and expanded it.
- 36:58SPEAKER_10: So can you tell us a little bit about that because we now uh have uh Stalin email blast a lot more to offer there.
- 37:08SPEAKER_08: Yeah uh well adding another person to start research um obviously added more hands on deck so we were able to um expand our services so I took the newsletter that David has already put together and just you know ramped it up you can get to basically every section of our site from that weekly newsletter and we give you the highlights of what if what's gone on in the industry if there's major stakes there's videos qualifiers the calendar all the good sales report sales results catalogs all that stuff that you can get on our site in our newsletter we will send it out to you weekly so that you're up to date and so you just go up to the top of our site you hit subscribe we'll send it to you.
- 37:58SPEAKER_08: We also offer email blast which a lot of the stallion owners have taken advantage of because not only do they get you know an ad that's emailed out to all of our subscribers but they also get a story in the breeding section.
- 38:15SPEAKER_08: So our breeding section has grown tremendously because we're you know we're writing about all of these stallions in the industry and giving them all a a lot of extra coverage and then all of that stuff also goes out on social media.
- 38:28SPEAKER_08: So everything that we're trying to accomplish on stallion research is getting pushed out to all these different platforms.
- 38:35SPEAKER_08: The qualifiers the big one uh whenever we have whenever the fastest qualifiers go out that gets pushed to social media immediately and that's where we're getting a lot of our traffic coming from because people love those qualifiers and they come in and they visit and they see what else we have going on.
- 38:51SPEAKER_07: 16 years ago uh we didn't have a the pop-up banner we didn't have the email blast we didn't have the podcast that we're talking on the social media so one of the things that we have done I think we've answered the bell every time something comes our way of just the expansion that that of how to be able to promote your stallion or how to promote quarter horse racing I think we've been at the forefront.
- 39:16SPEAKER_07: I think we've if there is an award for who's kind of rolled with the times and and and been an innovative in the industry I think we are definitely at I don't I don't have any qualms of of comparing notes with anybody that questions that but I I'm I'm excited about seeing what it actually has to to behold.
- 39:37SPEAKER_07: If you know I know Leanne and I joke about well that only means we got an extra job to do once we figure it out and then actually put it put it into place but it's it's truly that we're we we always had you the viewer in mind of when we were going to put this out we were always took the standpoint of what were they going to see and what did they want to see and I think we've hit the mark.
- 40:02SPEAKER_08: Well I mean I have to say something I've worked in this quarter horse racing industry for a long most of my well all of my adult life and you know I always take my job seriously I always want to contribute the most and the best I can to any company I've ever worked for and I have had the most freedom to be innovative and forward thinking in this company and that's what I pride myself and pride study and research on is that we're constantly trying to be forward thinking.
- 40:37SPEAKER_10: You know I don't know if a lot of people probably don't even remember uh Study and eSearch actually started out as an online stallion registry.
- 40:46SPEAKER_10: There wasn't any news qualifiers race nothing it was just an online stallion registry where the stallion information got updated weekly and uh from that you know I started putting a little news out there and then I started putting qualifiers and it just grew into what it is today and you know I never envisioned that uh you know what we're uh what we've launched this week it's it's beyond what I ever dreamed of originally hence the name Stallion ESearch it it was just going to be an online side gig for me to you know have a Stallion Register so uh I'm just really excited for everybody to start using the new side.
- 41:29SPEAKER_08: Well when David hired me I was hired on to be his assistant side gig and then we turned that into Me U and and Greg turned into a whole lot more than just the sidekick.
- 41:47SPEAKER_07: For sure exactly well guys I'm so glad that we hit the finish line here with of kicking this website out for the uh quarter horse racing world to to enjoy and to learn and of course to expand what they were able to see and and I've had plenty of people in the industry that were say a jockey that was that uh ended his career 20 years ago that said that it would have been a whole lot different in his career of maybe even the enjoyment if he could actually go online and or or go anywhere and read about a win that just happened like a couple hours ago the way that we're we've been able to produce for 21 years now and so and one other thing I will say guys is we've crossed this finish line and we a didn't kill each other as far as I know none of us are talking from the insane asylum and and uh so guys though we all need the math but we all need to catch up on some sleep but guys thanks for coming on and talking with the viewers here or here on Stalin Search about our new exciting website that we launched on Tuesday.
- 43:00SPEAKER_07: And uh with absolutely we look forward to seeing you guys at Heritage Place and talking with you the the Stalini Search junkies that are out there and hopefully I don't I'll go ahead and say it I hope we create some more junkies especially some of these guys that didn't realize all of this information actually is out there at their fingertips waiting for them.
- 43:23SPEAKER_08: Thanks for having us we appreciate it.
- 43:26SPEAKER_07: And we'll be right back after these words October 17th is the 822 championship finals the downs at Albuquerque and also in the news the 2027 822 challenge championships will be at Longstar Park in Grand Prairie Texas so you can either go onto the 822 website and look at all the challenge information or you can find it in the challenge textbooks on stallionfesearch.com did you know four of ten All American Future qualifiers this year or we those still select your
- 44:00SPEAKER_05: Graduates?
- 44:01SPEAKER_05: And four of the ten of the All-American juvenile are Riadoso New Mexico bred yearling sale graduates.
- 44:07SPEAKER_05: So here's a simple equation everyone can understand.
- 44:10SPEAKER_05: Yearlings times the Riadoso sale equals success.
- 44:14SPEAKER_05: It seems simple when you think about it.
- 44:16SPEAKER_05: See you at the New Mexico Yearling Sale on August 15th.
- 44:19SPEAKER_05: And at the Select Yearlings Sale on September 4th and 5th.
- 44:23SPEAKER_05: Alright, back to the show.
- 44:25SPEAKER_07: Alright, diving into the recap section this week here on Quarter Horse Racing Talk Weekly.
- 44:30SPEAKER_07: As we go out to Iowa's Prairie Meadows, a lot of challenge championship regional races to cover, starting with the John Deere Prairie Meadows juvenile challenge stakes,$56,000 on the line, two-year-olds going 350 yards, and here's the call.
- 44:46SPEAKER_11: And they're off.
- 44:48SPEAKER_11: And a great start for Jess a Southern Girl.
- 44:50SPEAKER_11: She broke on top tonight and goes right to the lead.
- 44:53SPEAKER_11: BR classified coming through from the inside.
- 44:56SPEAKER_11: Far outside, counter 44 is starting to rally.
- 44:59SPEAKER_11: But Jessa Southern Girl won this race at the start, and she takes the John Deere Prairie Meadows juvenile challenge.
- 45:06SPEAKER_07: Jess a Southern Girl gets it done, crossing the wire in front for trainer Jason Olmsted and owner Robert Brown with jockey Armando Alvedrez in the irons for this Riadosa sales graduate,$103,000 paid, was bred by Leanne Burns and is by a political Jess out of the PYC Paint Your Wagon mare, Mary Paint Your Wagon.
- 45:28SPEAKER_07: Now remember that mayor, as she will reappear throughout this recap section as Jess a Southern Girl stops the clock at 17.516 seconds for the 350 yards.
- 45:39SPEAKER_07: Now we'll go to the three-year-olds in the Adequin Prairie Meadows Derby Challenge stakes at Prairie Meadows for 400 yards for three-year-olds,$48,000 on the line.
- 45:48SPEAKER_07: Here's the call.
- 45:49SPEAKER_11: And a good start from Margaret's Cowboy mid-pack out for the early lead.
- 45:53SPEAKER_11: This is my time.
- 45:54SPEAKER_11: One off the fence is now closing and trying to get after that one toward the outside.
- 45:58SPEAKER_11: NSM flying corona, Eagle of Fire, but it's all Margaret's Cowboy way out in front in the Adequan Prairie Meadows Derby Challenge.
- 46:06SPEAKER_11: It is Margaret's Cowboy running up the score.
- 46:09SPEAKER_11: Look like this is my time, just second in a closer photo for show.
- 46:13SPEAKER_07: Margaret's Cowboy gets it done in the Attaquan Prairie Derby Challenge for trainer John Hamus, who with Bradbury Racing is the co-breeders on this one, as well as co-owners, and ridden today by jockey Miguel Ramirez, stopping the clock at 19.676 seconds for the 400 yards.
- 46:31SPEAKER_07: And then there was the Distaffers and the Cox Ranch Prairie Meadows Distaff Challenge Stakes.
- 46:35SPEAKER_07: A grade three event for Phillies and Mayors, three-year-old Nup going 400 yards for almost a$40,000 purse.
- 46:42SPEAKER_07: And they're off.
- 46:44SPEAKER_11: Catching Southern Rays.
- 46:45SPEAKER_11: One from the outside broke beautifully.
- 46:47SPEAKER_11: First Painted Dynasty is also right there.
- 46:49SPEAKER_11: Here comes Flying Bandita.
- 46:51SPEAKER_11: One off the inside and down at the rail is Revolutionary.

- 46:58SPEAKER_11: Any one of the four as they come down to the line.
- 47:01SPEAKER_11: Catching Southern Rays, maybe just a nostril, a four-way blanket finish in the Cox Ranch Prairie Meadows Distaff Challenge.
- 47:09SPEAKER_07: Catching Southern Rays gets the job done.
- 47:12SPEAKER_07: Trained by Stacy Sherad Hill for owner and breeder, Leanne Burns, and was ridden by Christian Esqueda in a time of 19.781 seconds on a muddy track for this apolitical Jessville out of the PYC Paint Your Wagon May, Mary Paint Your Wagon, which of course makes her a fool sister to the John Deere Juvenile Challenge winner there at Prairie Meadows, Jess a Southern Girl, as that winning family getting it done there in Iowa.
- 47:37SPEAKER_07: And next up is the AQHA Racing Prairie Meadows Challenge Championship stakes.
- 47:43SPEAKER_07: A great to event, 440 yards, almost$54,000 on the line.
- 47:48SPEAKER_07: And here's the call.
- 47:49SPEAKER_11: And they're off.
- 47:50SPEAKER_11: And a good start for all four.
- 47:53SPEAKER_11: Holy Pete from the outside gate is showing speed.
- 47:56SPEAKER_11: Now here comes Cardiac Cowboy, and he's going to take over the lead.
- 47:59SPEAKER_11: Hooked and gone is trying to run with him from the inside.
- 48:02SPEAKER_11: It's Cardiac Cowboy to mid-stretch.
- 48:04SPEAKER_11: Hooked and gone's got him coming to him.
- 48:05SPEAKER_11: Here comes Hooked and Gone through from the inside.
- 48:08SPEAKER_11: Hooked and gone with Jesus Ayala to win it.

- 49:29SPEAKER_01: Tomatito got off to a great start.
- 49:32SPEAKER_01: BSS Ghost Pepper as well.
- 49:34SPEAKER_01: They charge to the finish.
- 49:35SPEAKER_01: Here comes Tomatito, but Mysterious Hero gets the job done at the inside.
- 49:41SPEAKER_01: Mysterious Hero to win it from Tomatito.
- 49:44SPEAKER_07: Mysterious Hero is the winner and earns a berth into the challenge championship there at the Downs of Albuquerque in October in the finals, who is also a 2025 Heritage Place yearling graduate, who is owned by Luis Gonzalez and is trained by Jose Rosales, and was ridden by Cesar Moreno in a time of 17.990 seconds for the 350 yards.
- 50:07SPEAKER_07: This two-year-old gelding is by Tarzanito out of the Valiant Hero Mare Mysterious Knight.
- 50:12SPEAKER_07: As we'll also look at the Emerald Downs Challenge Championship stakes at 440 yards for three-year-olds and up, almost$53,000 on the line.
- 50:21SPEAKER_07: And here's the call.
- 50:23SPEAKER_01: And runners away in the championship.
- 50:28SPEAKER_01: Good start towards the inside.
- 50:29SPEAKER_01: See you, Mr.

- 50:31SPEAKER_01: Got off alertly.
- 50:31SPEAKER_01: Middle of the racetrack comes Mysterious Cartel.
- 50:34SPEAKER_01: And on the outside, be a freight train's rolling late.
- 50:37SPEAKER_01: Be a freight train on the outside's coming on strong.
- 50:40SPEAKER_01: The race to the finish.
- 50:41SPEAKER_01: Be a freight train.
- 50:44SPEAKER_07: Be a freight train gets into the finals in Albuquerque later in October with a win here in the Emerald Downs Challenge Championship stakes for trainer Mario Portilla and Jackie Jose Guerrero for owner Alberto Avia for this freight train B stallion by the A political Jazz Mayor NBC, who was a$26,000 Heritage Place graduate, stops the clock at 21.820 seconds for the 440 yards.
- 51:11SPEAKER_07: And that'll do it here in the recap section this week on Quarterhorse Racing Talk Weekly, and we'll be right back after these words to jump right into the previous section.
- 51:20SPEAKER_13: And we'll be right back after these words.
- 51:23SPEAKER_13: The list of things to know about Lazy E Ranch in Guthrie, Oklahoma, if you have the chance to have your yearlings consigned by them, you should consider it.
- 51:32SPEAKER_13: The name Lazy E Ranch is a difference maker.
- 51:34SPEAKER_13: Plain and simple.
- 51:36SPEAKER_03: If you are buying at upcoming yearling sales, you need to know that there is no one that compares to Lazy E with the long history of selling champions and grade one winners that have all been consigned by Lazy E Ranch.
- 51:47SPEAKER_03: And not to mention, they field the stoutest and the most eye-catching roster of stallions in the quarter horse racing industry.

- 52:14SPEAKER_03: Or you can also view all of their running stallions at stallionesearch.com.
- 52:19SPEAKER_03: The name that means success in the racing industry is Lazy E.

- 52:51SPEAKER_07: Yancey, we've got a lot of nice races, including definitely a grade one out there in California that we're going to get to, and plenty of other races across the country to talk about.
- 53:01SPEAKER_07: But let's go ahead and go out west.
- 53:03SPEAKER_07: And they got two big races out there.
- 53:05SPEAKER_07: Of course, the Sgt.
- 53:06SPEAKER_07: Pepper feature handicap is always a great race.
- 53:10SPEAKER_07: The grade one go-man-go handicap is on tap as well.
- 53:13SPEAKER_07: But let's go ahead and look at the Sgt.
- 53:16SPEAKER_07: Pepper feature handicap for three-year-olds going 350 yards for a$30,000 price tag here.
- 53:23SPEAKER_07: And there's a horse that's crossed nominated in the Sergeant Pepper as well as in the Go Man Go, and that's one of the top runners, Mayor Humdinger, out of the barn of Mike Castleman.
- 53:34SPEAKER_12: Yeah, this horse, if you go back to his two-year-old year, he really has turned it on since the Governor's Cup fraternity last year.
- 53:41SPEAKER_12: He won that and then comes back as a three-year-old, wins a nice allowance, then ran second in the Governor's Cup Derby trial, and then he also ran second in the Governor's Cup final.
- 53:53SPEAKER_12: But this horse, his whole career, he's had seven starts, four wins, two seconds, all at Los Al.
- 53:59SPEAKER_12: So he definitely is a nice runner out of the Mike Castleman barn.
- 54:02SPEAKER_07: You'd throw out the very first opening debut race there on May 31st in 2025.
- 54:08SPEAKER_07: Throw that race out where he finished seventh.
- 54:11SPEAKER_07: Other than that, this horse has been spot on.
- 54:13SPEAKER_07: As a matter of fact, the last race, the Governors' Cup Derby, a restricted grade two event, just barely missed and lost by a nose, or else we would be talking about the possibility of this horse being one of the top horses in the country at this point in time, but certainly one of the top three-year-olds in the country.
- 54:30SPEAKER_07: And I would almost assume, especially since he's he's going to face the same horses in his age group as three-year-olds going in here in the Sergeant Pepper Feature.
- 54:39SPEAKER_07: I almost assume that's where Mike Castleman will go.
- 54:42SPEAKER_07: But of course, and we wouldn't know that until, of course, they they enter.
- 54:46SPEAKER_07: And when do they enter for the Sergeant Pepper Feature Urancy?
- 54:49SPEAKER_12: Tomorrow, Wednesday, August 19th.
- 54:51SPEAKER_07: August 19th.
- 54:52SPEAKER_07: We'll be able to see who's going in that nice slated race there at Los Alamitas.
- 54:58SPEAKER_07: And that leads us over to the grade one go man-go handicap.
- 55:01SPEAKER_07: Of course, a lot of great horses have gone down the racetrack and won there in a grade one event.
- 55:07SPEAKER_07: Of course, it was in the go-man-go.
- 55:09SPEAKER_07: And Stellar Field, I mean, certainly waiting to see how the entries go on this one.
- 55:15SPEAKER_07: Not too terribly long ago, they had the Los Alamitas Bank of America Challenge Regional Championship there.
- 55:23SPEAKER_07: As an example, Scoops Dynasty ran in that.
- 55:26SPEAKER_07: Whether he's going to be wheeled back into the Go Man Go, it's it remains to be seen, and the only way we'll know that is on entry day.
- 55:34SPEAKER_07: But uh certainly one of the horses that jumps out at me is Lethal Cowboy 123.
- 55:39SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I mean, this horse is loves Los Alamitos.
- 55:42SPEAKER_12: If he's always been a super nice horse, but it seems like Los Alamitos is definitely his home.
- 55:47SPEAKER_12: He just won the Vessels Maturity last time out, where he beat Cattail Cove, which is another nominee for this race.
- 55:54SPEAKER_12: But I mean, if you go back his two-year-old and three-year-old year, he he won the Los Al two million as a two-year-old, took fourth in the Los Alpherby as a three-year-old, ran second in the Brad McKinsey winner championship.
- 56:08SPEAKER_12: I mean, this is just a super nice horse, and he looks like definitely the horse to beat out of the Mark Younger's bone.
- 56:15SPEAKER_07: Well, let's talk about Cattel Cove, another horse that's just been knocking on the door, uh, won the Kawaii Bar handicap in April earlier in this year, then comes back and run a great race in the vessel's maturity to get up and finish second, and then of course goes into the Spencer Childers, which is a restricted grade one event, and just barely misses by a half a length, was third in that race.
- 56:38SPEAKER_07: And this horse, I would say he's in great form, and certainly he is going to have to be on his game to run with Lethal Cowboy 1-2-3.
- 56:48SPEAKER_07: But, you know, I certainly wouldn't be absolutely shocked if there's some other horse in the headlines other than Lethal Cowboy 1-2-3 at the end of this race.
- 56:56SPEAKER_12: Yeah, and I mean I think it's worth mentioning Juan Alman barn is on fire.
- 57:00SPEAKER_12: Last week they had three challenge races at Los Alminos, and Juan Alman won all of them.
- 57:06SPEAKER_12: And I mean, Catdale Cove, he might not always win every stakes race, but man, he's always there.
- 57:12SPEAKER_12: Like this is the veteran of racing almost.
- 57:15SPEAKER_12: Like he's had 61 starts, and he's always super tough, even though he doesn't always win.
- 57:21SPEAKER_07: Two other horses to look at in this race.
- 57:23SPEAKER_07: Of course, Scoops Dynasty, which we mentioned, challenge regional event there, just barely lost by a neck to Bold and Beautiful.
- 57:32SPEAKER_07: Now it was ran on August the first.
- 57:34SPEAKER_07: This race will go off this coming weekend.
- 57:37SPEAKER_07: So there's 20-something days there to deal with.
- 57:40SPEAKER_07: Will trainer Diego Cervantes wheel his horse back and put him in the grade one go man go?
- 57:47SPEAKER_07: But if he does, his horse is always live, Yancey.
- 57:50SPEAKER_12: Yeah, Scoop's Dynasty looked like he was kind of back into his normal form last time out.
- 57:55SPEAKER_12: And like you said, for the last couple years, he's always there.
- 57:58SPEAKER_12: He's won big races all over the country, so you can't count him out if he's in the race and he's on his game.
- 58:05SPEAKER_07: And I also think we need to talk about winner's share.
- 58:07SPEAKER_07: Out of the Barnum, Valentin Zamudio ran a really great race in the Spencer Childers last time out, just barely beaten by a neck in that spot, and of course, gets back in this race.
- 58:19SPEAKER_07: It's it had plenty of time off.
- 58:20SPEAKER_07: July 26th is when it ran there in the Spencer Childers.
- 58:24SPEAKER_07: So should be keen to be entered into this race and should be very live in this spot.
- 58:29SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I mean he's like it's kind of a consistent thing.
- 58:32SPEAKER_12: He's another horse that he's super tough in stakes races.
- 58:36SPEAKER_12: I mean, he's second in the choir bars.
- 58:38SPEAKER_12: Uh didn't run too good in the independence, but comes right back, like you said, in the Spencer Childs.
- 58:43SPEAKER_12: So he's another horse that's if he's on his game, he's gonna be there for years, has always had super tough runners, especially in the California division out there.
- 58:53SPEAKER_07: And also it is worth mentioning in the choir bar was just right behind beaten by a nose by Catel Cove, who we've already talked about, should be super live in this spot as well.
- 59:04SPEAKER_07: So two great stakes races out there on the West Coast at Los Alamitas, and we'll go out to Texas to Rotama Park on August 21st.
- 59:12SPEAKER_07: The AQHA Racing Challenge stakes there.
- 59:16SPEAKER_07: Of course, you win and you're in there in the finals at Albuquerque, and we got another great solid field of older runners here.
- 59:25SPEAKER_12: Yes, uh it is a super tough field, but I think there's an a standout and obvious choice in the race if he runs his race, and that's the eight shaker's no secret.
- 59:35SPEAKER_12: Uh last time out he won the King William stake at Ratama.
- 59:40SPEAKER_12: But if you go back over the last three years, all this horse has d is win, place win or place or be on the board in stakes races all over the country.
- 59:49SPEAKER_12: It doesn't matter where they send this horse, it doesn't matter where he runs.
- 59:53SPEAKER_12: Every once in a while he'll throw a an off race, but 90% of the time this horse is either winning or on the board in graded stakes races.
- 1:00:02SPEAKER_12: And he's made$864,000 out already.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_12: And I think if Shaker's North Seek gets on his game on the outside, it's gonna be super tough to beat him.
- 1:00:11SPEAKER_07: Another horse out of the Mark Younger's barn is Eagles Up, Louisiana Bred, comes from Evangeline, runs over here and runs, doesn't run a great race last time out in allowance company as a almost like a prep this year.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_07: But if you look back at this horse's past performance and go back a couple races back, this is a third place finisher in the Evangeline Downs Derby.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_07: He's the winner of the TQHA Sires Cup Derby.
- 1:00:36SPEAKER_07: He's a finalist finishing third in the Sam Houston Derby as a great three.
- 1:00:40SPEAKER_07: And even go back even further into his two-year-old year, he's a second place finisher in the Evangeline Downs futurity.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_07: So this horse is pretty consistent in stakes company.
- 1:00:50SPEAKER_07: And will this horse bounce back as a four-year-old going into this spot?
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_07: Mark Younger's, of course, is pointing him towards one of his stablemates.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_07: I would say Eagles up has to be on his top of his game in order to be able to hold up with his stablemate on the outside.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I put it very well easily could be a Mark Younger's one, two, three in in this race.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_12: But I think one more we have to mention in this race is Dr.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_12: Pepper 1-2-3, the two.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_12: Um he's only had one start this year, which he was a second allowance, but it makes me think this was kind of a prep for this race.
- 1:01:25SPEAKER_12: But and as a three-year-old, this horse ran third in the Rotoma Park Derby.
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_12: He won the Sam Houston fraternity.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_12: He also qualified to the Texas Classic Derby, so he was a super nice three-year-old, and I know it's only a second allowance, but like I said, it makes me think this is a prep.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_12: So I think he's another tough horse that the younger stable will have to outrun in this race.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_07: And we'll stay at Ratama Park and we'll look at the Sires Cup fraturity, a restricted grade two event,$230,000 on the line for two-year-olds going 350 yards.
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_07: An obvious horse is the two to one morning line favorite on the rail there, Roosman Crystal.
- 1:02:06SPEAKER_12: Yeah, this horse comes out of the Jose Garcia Barn.
- 1:02:09SPEAKER_12: Victor Yarrieta will be riding.
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_12: She is a KJ Mucho Macho Man Philly, and she daylighted the field.
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_12: When I went back and watched the trials, I mean it was definitely the easiest trial win.
- 1:02:19SPEAKER_12: Um she ran third in the Oklahoma fraternity earlier this year.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_12: Um looks like she comes right back to form.
- 1:02:26SPEAKER_12: Um Victor Yarrieta qualified multiple runners into this race, and he likes to stay on her, so she's gonna be super tough to beat.
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_07: As well as being a third place finisher in the grade two Oklahoma Fraternity earlier in the year in March, there at Remington Park, this horse is certainly the standout in this field.
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_12: Another really nice horse to talk about, though, is if Mark Younger's does good in all these races, it could be a Mark Younger's weekend, because he has a really nice horse in this race, too, which is the seven, Corona's first cowboy, out of Corona's first diva.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_12: So this horse is bred out of this world.
- 1:03:01SPEAKER_12: But he's had seven starts, five wins on the year.
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_12: All five wins have came in trials.
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_12: Uh he's made the finals of two fraternities already, fourth in the Sam Houston fraternity, and fifth in the Texas Breeders.
- 1:03:13SPEAKER_12: And one thing I put that I liked about him in the trials is he didn't break really good at all.
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_12: He got bumped by the two, but he really finished strong.
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_12: So I think if this horse is on his game, he's proven that he can qualify for big fraternities, he just needs to put it all together to win one.
- 1:03:29SPEAKER_07: And that leads us up to Canterbury.
- 1:03:31SPEAKER_07: We're going to look at the two-year-olds going forth in the Northlands fraternity, fifty-nine thousand dollar fraternity for two-year-olds going 350 yards, and another Jason Olmsted runner here, headlines the field as a five to two favorite.
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_07: She's a sugar mama with his son Ryder Olmsted in the Irons.
- 1:03:52SPEAKER_12: Yeah, this horse is um won two fraternities at Canterbury already this year, and comes back and she actually ran third in the trials to to get into this race behind another Olmsted runner, but I think this horse is the top horse if she's on her game.
- 1:04:09SPEAKER_12: But I put just give me a Jason Olmstead runner.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_12: It's worth mentioning he has seven out of the ten runners.
- 1:04:16SPEAKER_12: And I don't care what fraternity it is, no matter if you're in a grade one fraternity at Riadosa, or if you're in a fraternity, a small fraternity somewhere else, or if you're in the Northlands fraternity at Canterbury, qualifying seven out of ten is a huge feat, no matter where you are.
- 1:04:33SPEAKER_07: And one of those runners is the two-to-one.
- 1:04:36SPEAKER_07: I actually got it wrong, the two to one favorite on the morning line is why so political an Oklahoma bred Philly by a political jest out of the first down dash mare.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_07: Why?
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_07: Now, this horse, of course, qualified and got into the Prairie Medals gold juvenile stakes, but ran lights out in the trials to get over here and become the two-to-one favorite going into the finals here.
- 1:04:59SPEAKER_07: And that's just one of the, like we mentioned, seven runners that Jason Olmsted put into the finals here in the Northland Futurity.
- 1:05:06SPEAKER_07: And as always, thanks for joining us here, Yancey.
