- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Ryan Fox Gounda join us an hour number two the
- 0:22Speaker 1: winner of the Open Championship. Over the weekend, we continued
- 0:27Speaker 1: to wait for Lebron James. I'm going to ask two
- 0:30Speaker 1: very sports radio ish questions today eight seven seven ninety
- 0:34Speaker 1: nine on Fox. The audience, there you go, eight seven
- 0:37Speaker 1: seven ninety nine on Fox. We all know because there
- 0:41Speaker 1: was an ad running during the World Cup final that
- 0:44Speaker 1: the MLS They've got it from here. And I'm wondering
- 0:47Speaker 1: if the World Cup has inspired anybody, anyone in the
- 0:51Speaker 1: audience to go check out.
- 0:53Speaker 3: More soccer, specifically to go to an MLS game.
- 0:56Speaker 4: Yes.
- 0:57Speaker 1: The second sports radio ish question I have for the
- 1:00Speaker 1: audience is where do you think Lebron James should end
- 1:05Speaker 1: his career?
- 1:05Speaker 4: Those are two classic sports radio topics right there. How
- 1:09Speaker 4: about that? Is it?
- 1:10Speaker 5: It should end his career? Not will not a prediction.
- 1:12Speaker 5: We're We're not asking you to bet, would you say
- 1:14Speaker 5: what makes most sense to you?
- 1:16Speaker 1: Yes, he is willing to play for the league minimum.
- 1:18Speaker 1: So I am wondering if you were Lebron James, what
- 1:23Speaker 1: team you would choose to decide to end your career with.
- 1:27Speaker 4: It doesn't have to be of the available options.
- 1:29Speaker 1: There could be wild cards out there and for all
- 1:31Speaker 1: we know that probably are What is the latest, by
- 1:33Speaker 1: the way.
- 1:33Speaker 4: On Lebron James. There was a report today, is it? Yeah?
- 1:36Speaker 5: Well Dave mcmanhamon reported that according to his sources, there
- 1:40Speaker 5: won't be any news today. So that's got to be
- 1:42Speaker 5: the least like exciting news to break. Hey, I got
- 1:46Speaker 5: breaking news. Nothing's happening, right.
- 1:48Speaker 4: You guys are wondering why he would put that out there?
- 1:50Speaker 1: Huh So he looks like head no, But he wants
- 1:54Speaker 1: you to know that he has access to Lebron James
- 1:56Speaker 1: and his people, his camp.
- 1:57Speaker 4: That's what he wants you to know. That's what he's
- 1:59Speaker 4: telling you to lot.
- 2:00Speaker 6: Yes, unless Lebron puts something out there and then you
- 2:04Speaker 6: look like you have absolutely no access.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Right. Well, yes, it's a dangerous game.
- 2:08Speaker 7: Just on the topic of soccer here for a second. Yeah,
- 2:11Speaker 7: I got an alert from one of these ticketing apps
- 2:14Speaker 7: and says post World Cup Blues ticket prices are sixty
- 2:17Speaker 7: one percent lower for Inner Miami's game tomorrow against Chicago Fire.
- 2:21Speaker 7: Come see Come see Inner Miami play. And I'm like, Oh,
- 2:24Speaker 7: I wonder if that has anything to do with the
- 2:25Speaker 7: fact that Leo Messi said he's gonna sit out for
- 2:28Speaker 7: like a couple of games.
- 2:29Speaker 1: It has everything to do with that. Yes, it's not
- 2:31Speaker 1: recovering from the World Cup. He's recovering. Yeah, you messing
- 2:35Speaker 1: moored halfway through that.
- 2:40Speaker 4: H is he was he.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Listen, we do a lot of annoying things around here.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Is he gets annoyed with us, and so sometimes he'll do.
- 2:47Speaker 4: A show for himself.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And he was just ripping, tearing apart Draymond Green before.
- 2:53Speaker 4: We got started here.
- 2:55Speaker 1: And I wasn't really paying attention because I was talking
- 2:58Speaker 1: about baseball players.
- 3:00Speaker 4: But is he What is your problem with Draymond Green?
- 3:02Speaker 3: That's a long list. We don't even have any time show.
- 3:05Speaker 4: I would love to see that list.
- 3:07Speaker 5: But no, it was a couple of things. One I
- 3:10Speaker 5: had seen something. I'm still getting shivers from it. It's
- 3:12Speaker 5: just sends chills down my spine. I saw something maybe
- 3:15Speaker 5: it was a week or two ago. It wasn't too
- 3:17Speaker 5: long ago, but it was during you know, maybe the
- 3:19Speaker 5: early part of Lebron James's free agency discussions. And there was,
- 3:25Speaker 5: you know, a nonsense report from one of those random
- 3:29Speaker 5: Instagram pages. But it said, and man, it makes me
- 3:32Speaker 5: shiver that not only is Lebron coming to Miami, yeah,
- 3:35Speaker 5: but he's bringing Draymond Green with him. And I said,
- 3:39Speaker 5: you know what, I'm good. I do not need either
- 3:42Speaker 5: of them. If you listen, if he's going to bring
- 3:44Speaker 5: Draymond Green onto my team, I do not need Lebron
- 3:47Speaker 5: James on the team. Like that is a deal breaker
- 3:51Speaker 5: for me in terms of fandom. And I don't know
- 3:53Speaker 5: how many people have this, but if he was on
- 3:56Speaker 5: my team, this current version.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Of Draymond Green, I would not want to cheer for
- 4:00Speaker 3: my team anymore.
- 4:01Speaker 4: That is ridiculous. I have to be honest with you.
- 4:05Speaker 1: If it means getting Lebron James, if what you have
- 4:07Speaker 1: to do is take on Draymond Green to get Lebron
- 4:10Speaker 1: James back to Miami, deal. I understand you not liking
- 4:13Speaker 1: Draymond Green, but who cares if he's the guy that
- 4:17Speaker 1: gets you Lebron James because Lebron somehow wants Draymond Green
- 4:21Speaker 1: on the team. That's Lebron's decision to make, Riley's decision
- 4:24Speaker 1: to make.
- 4:25Speaker 4: I'm fine with that.
- 4:26Speaker 5: My decision is to no longer here for that team
- 4:29Speaker 5: until Draymond Green is no longer on it. There used
- 4:32Speaker 5: to be another player who I had this same thought about,
- 4:35Speaker 5: and I'm a little torn right now too because he's
- 4:37Speaker 5: on my second favorite team, Marcus Smart. Marcus Smart is
- 4:41Speaker 5: now a Houston Rocket, and I don't know how to
- 4:42Speaker 5: deal with that's due I love the Houston Rockets.
- 4:45Speaker 3: We are not a Marcus Smart fan.
- 4:47Speaker 4: I know.
- 4:47Speaker 1: But you can become a Rockets fan full time if
- 4:49Speaker 1: Draymond Green comes to Miami, that's for sure.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Taylor, how do you feel about that? Meaning?
- 4:54Speaker 1: If the Yankees could acquire a player that you desperately wanted,
- 4:58Speaker 1: but it meant you had to take on some one
- 5:00Speaker 1: you can't stand, would you be okay with it?
- 5:02Speaker 7: I would have absolutely no problem because I think about
- 5:05Speaker 7: this in terms of basketball and the Knicks where I
- 5:10Speaker 7: went to North Carolina. But people ask me all the time,
- 5:13Speaker 7: like Villanova, guys, they broke your heart in college when
- 5:15Speaker 7: they beat us on the buzzer beater with Chris Jenkins.
- 5:18Speaker 7: Do you have any problem rooting for them in the NBA?
- 5:20Speaker 8: No.
- 5:21Speaker 7: If somebody like JJ Reddick, who I hated in college basketball,
- 5:24Speaker 7: played for Duke, if he came to the Knicks and
- 5:26Speaker 7: could help the Knicks win a title, would I have
- 5:28Speaker 7: a problem with it?
- 5:29Speaker 8: No?
- 5:30Speaker 7: I have zero problem if you go to my favorite team.
- 5:33Speaker 7: All the morals I have and grandstanding I have as
- 5:36Speaker 7: a person, I hate to admit it, but I would
- 5:40Speaker 7: push it the side if it meant my team winning
- 5:42Speaker 7: a time. All right.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I have to follow that face any time he makes
- 5:44Speaker 1: a face. Mikey A made a face there? What's going
- 5:46Speaker 1: on with you?
- 5:47Speaker 4: Mikey.
- 5:48Speaker 6: I'm one hundred percent with Izzy here and Taylor. I
- 5:50Speaker 6: think the part you're missing is you're taking somebody who
- 5:54Speaker 6: played for your rival coming to your team. This is
- 5:57Speaker 6: someone you just genuinely hate. This is like I don't
- 6:01Speaker 6: like you because you wore that uniform. This is just
- 6:04Speaker 6: someone I can't stand as a as a person, and
- 6:08Speaker 6: I don't want to have them representing my team at all.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I'm with Izzy, but in this particular, in this particular case,
- 6:15Speaker 1: this person that you hate is a bridge to a
- 6:17Speaker 1: person that you love, I mean.
- 6:19Speaker 5: Right, but a version of that person that I love
- 6:22Speaker 5: that is lesser than the version that we've already had.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Yeah, this is another.
- 6:26Speaker 6: Twenty twenty ten Lebron. Heyes, you know, this is this
- 6:30Speaker 6: is twenty twenty six Lebron.
- 6:31Speaker 1: I know, but it's Lebron on a minimum, coming off
- 6:33Speaker 1: a year in which he averaged twenty one, six and five.
- 6:36Speaker 3: But I gotta take I gotta take old Draymon.
- 6:39Speaker 5: Like this is where my argument breaks down, because in
- 6:41Speaker 5: twenty fifteen, I'd take Draymond. I'd take that version of Draymon,
- 6:45Speaker 5: not just on the court, but off the court. He
- 6:47Speaker 5: wasn't as annoying, he wasn't talking himself in the logical
- 6:50Speaker 5: circles every time you put a microphone in front of him.
- 6:52Speaker 4: So you would suspend your hatred of Draymond if you
- 6:54Speaker 4: were better.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Well, yes, if he was still that guy. If he
- 6:58Speaker 3: was still that guy.
- 6:59Speaker 7: But he's right now. The Yankees could sign the most
- 7:03Speaker 7: hated person on earth, and every fifth day if he
- 7:07Speaker 7: was a starter, I'd go out there saying, I think
- 7:10Speaker 7: you guys just kind of misunderstand him.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Because he's yours now, right, Yes, and he also brought
- 7:15Speaker 1: someone that you love, right, that's what we're talking about.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Would you be okay with bringing.
- 7:20Speaker 1: On someone that you hate, hates, probably a strong one
- 7:24Speaker 1: that you dislike to get someone that you really like
- 7:27Speaker 1: to your team? Of course, yes, I mean for me
- 7:31Speaker 1: at any point, by the way in their careers, is
- 7:34Speaker 1: he meaning if it took a bad Raymond Green to
- 7:36Speaker 1: get me Lebron James, a forty one year old Lebron James,
- 7:40Speaker 1: I'd still want Draymond.
- 7:41Speaker 9: Of course.
- 7:42Speaker 5: I also don't think that would make for lovely basketball,
- 7:44Speaker 5: so I don't really want to see it. But yeah,
- 7:47Speaker 5: the other thing that bugged me about Draymond the other day,
- 7:49Speaker 5: he said that if he did team up with Lebron
- 7:52Speaker 5: that he would become prime PJ. Tucker, meaning he will
- 7:55Speaker 5: be such a great corner three point shooter. And I'm
- 7:59Speaker 5: just saying myself right now, Listen, if you could have
- 8:02Speaker 5: been a forty percent three point shooter from anywhere on
- 8:05Speaker 5: the floor from your career, you would have done that already. Okay,
- 8:07Speaker 5: I don't care, it's not you're not gonna do that
- 8:09Speaker 5: all of a sudden now that forty one year old
- 8:11Speaker 5: Lebron James shows up.
- 8:12Speaker 1: And how does Steph absorb that seriously, like, Hey, you're
- 8:15Speaker 1: willing to do it for Lebron, but how about you
- 8:17Speaker 1: work on that three while you're playing with me.
- 8:21Speaker 7: It's similar to Rich Paul saying that if the Knicks
- 8:25Speaker 7: didn't win a title, they they he would have eventually
- 8:29Speaker 7: signed with New York, where it's like, okay, you could
- 8:31Speaker 7: just say anything at that point, but is he I'm
- 8:34Speaker 7: looking at Rich Paul saying that Lebron's not going to
- 8:36Speaker 7: be rushed and he thinks it's important for people to
- 8:39Speaker 7: understand we're not making this decision about attention and making
- 8:43Speaker 7: this a spectacle. But for some reason he's saying this,
- 8:46Speaker 7: but it just keeps getting dragged on and on when
- 8:48Speaker 7: you would assume that Lebron has all the information to
- 8:51Speaker 7: make a decision. At this point, Lebron is losing me
- 8:54Speaker 7: in this yea where he's not going to a title contender.
- 8:58Speaker 7: You're not making any team a title contender at forty
- 9:01Speaker 7: one years old. If it was up to me, I
- 9:03Speaker 7: would be giving Lebron signing the same attention as matiitz
- 9:07Speaker 7: Thibol yesterday.
- 9:09Speaker 1: But a lot of people feel like Lebron would make
- 9:11Speaker 1: them a title contender. Well, Philadelphia already is Cleveland already
- 9:15Speaker 1: is are they? I mean Cleveland made it to the
- 9:18Speaker 1: Eastern Conference Finals last year, the Sixers made it to
- 9:21Speaker 1: the Eastern Conference semi finals.
- 9:22Speaker 7: How many games of those two teams win in those series?
- 9:25Speaker 4: None?
- 9:28Speaker 5: At least, we're not going as far as a gentleman
- 9:30Speaker 5: named Chris Brockman did on the Rich Eisend Show, where
- 9:32Speaker 5: he said Lebron's going to be a non factor this season.
- 9:36Speaker 5: I think everyone needs to ready themselves. And then Lebron
- 9:40Speaker 5: just responded with multiple cracking up emoji faces, and that
- 9:44Speaker 5: in itself is enough motivation for Lebron to say, you
- 9:47Speaker 5: know what, I'm gonna have a throwback year. I'll average
- 9:49Speaker 5: twenty five to seven and seven just to show this guy.
- 9:52Speaker 4: Take it easy.
- 9:52Speaker 1: And my boy, brock I mean me, Rich Eisen, I'm
- 9:55Speaker 1: telling you Rockman. Yeah, we love Brockman.
- 9:57Speaker 3: I listen, pick a side Man, Bron or Brockman.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Right now, me and Rich at a moment in Lake Taha,
- 10:04Speaker 1: and I'm telling you everything is buried here.
- 10:06Speaker 4: And I told him, in particular, the person I love most.
- 10:08Speaker 7: On his show is brock Yeah, Taylor, I've always said
- 10:12Speaker 7: Brockman rocks Man Brockman.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Yeah, Lebron responded directly to Brockman.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Is that what he did?
- 10:20Speaker 5: I mean, it was a clip. I don't think it
- 10:21Speaker 5: was directly to him, but it was a clip on
- 10:23Speaker 5: the internetw.
- 10:23Speaker 1: So Brockman got what he wanted a response, James, do
- 10:29Speaker 1: you guys want to hear from Rich Paul?
- 10:30Speaker 5: You know what I do want to hear from Rich
- 10:32Speaker 5: Paul because he said something that I feel like everybody
- 10:35Speaker 5: should know when they're Because I keep getting uh, Anthony,
- 10:38Speaker 5: my partner telling me, Hey, looks like Lebron might sign here.
- 10:41Speaker 5: I was like, check your source. That's not real. It's
- 10:44Speaker 5: not going to happen. And even if it is a
- 10:46Speaker 5: reputable source, I'm telling you, nothing is going to be
- 10:49Speaker 5: broken until Lebron breaks it. So here is Rich Paul
- 10:52Speaker 5: essentially saying that, I'll.
- 10:54Speaker 10: Say it again, none of these people know anything. Nobody
- 10:57Speaker 10: knows nothing. And I say that respectfully because us we
- 11:01Speaker 10: haven't made it to where anybody knows anything. So I
- 11:04Speaker 10: think it's important for people to understand we're not making
- 11:08Speaker 10: this about attention and a spectacle. It's not about a
- 11:12Speaker 10: decision or anything like that. He has a choice to make,
- 11:16Speaker 10: He has a business choice to make. We're not going
- 11:19Speaker 10: to sit here and decide or allow someone else to
- 11:21Speaker 10: decide when he makes that decision or that choice. It's
- 11:25Speaker 10: a business choice that he's making. And I think, as
- 11:27Speaker 10: an athlete, why is it that an athlete has to
- 11:31Speaker 10: rush his choice? Okay, I want to ask from a
- 11:33Speaker 10: business perspective. From a business perspective, you were making a
- 11:36Speaker 10: choice between jobs, high level jobs, and you've earned the right,
- 11:42Speaker 10: your big time executive. That's what unbelievable, arguably the best
- 11:46Speaker 10: resume in the history of your job.
- 11:49Speaker 11: Who's rushing you?
- 11:50Speaker 4: Okay? Nobody?
- 11:52Speaker 5: But here's where he loses me to do because the
- 11:54Speaker 5: latest thing in the news is that Lebron's daughter is
- 11:57Speaker 5: a huge portion of this decision making process in terms
- 12:00Speaker 5: of what's best for her. And I'm like, so, this
- 12:02Speaker 5: isn't a business decision as much as it's a family
- 12:06Speaker 5: decision as much as it's a Lebron happiness decision. And
- 12:09Speaker 5: that's where it's just like, it doesn't really matter how
- 12:11Speaker 5: you paint it, man, I just want to know the answer.
- 12:12Speaker 4: He's getting her to the NBA as well.
- 12:15Speaker 5: Yeah, that I think the Miami Heat would do.
- 12:21Speaker 3: I think I think they would do that, he has
- 12:22Speaker 3: the power.
- 12:23Speaker 4: I mean you'd be okay with that, but not Draymond Green.
- 12:26Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I mean I don't think Lebron's daughter's gonna
- 12:29Speaker 5: get much pain time.
- 12:30Speaker 1: So you call Lebron's daughter to take Draymond Green's roster spot, don't.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Yes? Yes.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 12:38Speaker 2: Live week dacent three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific on
- 12:42Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
- 12:47Speaker 1: I'm wondering, Yeah, before we get to the calls here,
- 12:49Speaker 1: I am wondering.
- 12:50Speaker 4: And Chris for the update. Taylor, how do you feel
- 12:53Speaker 4: about the.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Red Sox winning fourteen consecutive games as a Yankee fan?
- 12:56Speaker 7: Just wondering, kind of rolls right off my shoulder. Good
- 13:00Speaker 7: for the Red Sox.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Mikey, how do you feel about it?
- 13:05Speaker 9: I love when the Red Sox are good. Wants their
- 13:07Speaker 9: rival to be down so that all those games are meaningless,
- 13:11Speaker 9: like let's let's have some fun.
- 13:12Speaker 7: And the better the Red Sox are, it forces the
- 13:14Speaker 7: Yankees to try to raise their level. It's it's kind
- 13:17Speaker 7: of like a Yin and yang, like a batman needs
- 13:19Speaker 7: his joker, right.
- 13:21Speaker 4: I understand when the Heat were good. Did you enjoy
- 13:23Speaker 4: when the Knicks were also good?
- 13:24Speaker 6: Is he?
- 13:25Speaker 5: I still believe that the league's more fun when the
- 13:28Speaker 5: Knicks are good, but no, I like when the Knicks
- 13:30Speaker 5: are terrible.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Let's go out to the calls here before we get
- 13:33Speaker 1: to the update eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Let's go to Chris, who's in Phoenix today? Chris, go ahead,
- 13:38Speaker 1: you're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 13:42Speaker 9: To answer the question.
- 13:43Speaker 4: No, I don't think anyone should be checking out.
- 13:46Speaker 8: MLS after they're watching the World Cup.
- 13:48Speaker 9: It's kind of like watching the advertisements for the G
- 13:51Speaker 9: League by the NBA after the finals.
- 13:53Speaker 4: It's just a lower, a lower level, so you're not inspired.
- 13:58Speaker 1: The World Cup did not inspire you at all? Huh
- 14:00Speaker 1: because the MLS they have it from here. But Tim Reim,
- 14:06Speaker 1: thank you for the call. Chris, Yes, put it on
- 14:09Speaker 1: the poll, but Tim Reim. Let's go to Chris in
- 14:15Speaker 1: Sherman Oaks. Chris for a sports update.
- 14:19Speaker 11: I consider myself a very big soccer fan.
- 14:21Speaker 8: I don't no, no, I am, I am, I just
- 14:25Speaker 8: I don't think, even even in that context, MLS is
- 14:28Speaker 8: still beneath me at that point it is.
- 14:30Speaker 11: I'm not going to call a g League. But it
- 14:31Speaker 11: is definitely not oh.
- 14:33Speaker 4: My god, got checking out a Galaxy game.
- 14:35Speaker 8: It is it is some miserable, miserable football out there,
- 14:39Speaker 8: especially especially when we got Premier League around.
- 14:41Speaker 11: Like That's the other thing is like I want to
- 14:42Speaker 11: take a bit of a breather.
- 14:43Speaker 8: We've got like three weeks before like the actual real
- 14:46Speaker 8: big boys in the European clubs actually start, so give
- 14:49Speaker 8: me a break on We'll take it from here.
- 14:51Speaker 11: I do want to see an LAFC game every now
- 14:53Speaker 11: and then, But that's.
- 14:53Speaker 4: You're soccer snob, aren't you You are?
- 14:56Speaker 8: No, no, no, I got I mean I got crowned
- 14:58Speaker 8: here in Sherman Oaks are the biggest soccer snob and
- 15:00Speaker 8: biggest soccer fan, the same thing in one. But at
- 15:02Speaker 8: the same time, Uh, I want people to enjoy this game.
- 15:06Speaker 8: I want people to enjoy this game because I was
- 15:08Speaker 8: not allowed to enjoy it as a kid. I was
- 15:10Speaker 8: called very nasty things by pe teachers because I enjoyed
- 15:14Speaker 8: soccer and had my masculinity. I was my masculinity was
- 15:20Speaker 8: was basically is like you're you're not You're not a
- 15:21Speaker 8: man for liking soccer, which is ridiculous.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Well, it is ridiculous.
- 15:26Speaker 1: But just so we're clear, you want people to enjoy it,
- 15:29Speaker 1: but you're saying they can't enjoy it. If they're attending
- 15:31Speaker 1: an MLS game, you can enjoy it.
- 15:33Speaker 8: An MLS game you could enjoy also, like a slider
- 15:37Speaker 8: from White Castle, I'd rather have a gourmet burger.
- 15:41Speaker 11: I'd rather have a smash burger. Thank you very much.
- 15:45Speaker 7: All right, this almost feels like therapy. It's it's it's American.
- 15:52Speaker 8: I know we should like it, but it's it's hard
- 15:54Speaker 8: for us to admit that we just do not have
- 15:56Speaker 8: a good product in this sport right now. Like I mean,
- 15:59Speaker 8: maybe it gets better, maybe you intract more big names,
- 16:01Speaker 8: but it's still a retirement league.
- 16:02Speaker 1: At the end of the intern Miami would like a word,
- 16:04Speaker 1: I mean, a few days away from the NFL.
- 16:06Speaker 4: I mean, how about that.
- 16:07Speaker 8: Inter Miami basically being back to the hill by MLS
- 16:10Speaker 8: to get Lionel Messi that would be able to afford
- 16:12Speaker 8: him otherwise.
- 16:13Speaker 4: So all right, thank you, Chris. We have a game
- 16:18Speaker 4: coming up.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I have no idea which game we've decided to play,
- 16:22Speaker 1: because we play so many games around here, and all
- 16:24Speaker 1: of them are really different variations of the same game. So, Taylor,
- 16:28Speaker 1: what game are we playing today?
- 16:29Speaker 7: No, they're all very different.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Okay, I'm sorry.
- 16:31Speaker 7: I bet this game today though, we're gonna play do
- 16:34Speaker 7: me a favor?
- 16:35Speaker 4: Oh wow? All right, wow, I have to ask for it.
- 16:38Speaker 4: I wway say I'm on his game? How about that?
- 16:44Speaker 4: All right? Do me a favor?
- 16:45Speaker 7: Here?
- 16:45Speaker 4: Who's gonna go first? Taylor? You want to? You want
- 16:48Speaker 4: to go first? Set the table for us.
- 16:49Speaker 7: Taylor, I'll kick off the proceedings. Okay, new Kentucky head
- 16:54Speaker 7: coach will sign do me a favor. He came out
- 16:57Speaker 7: during SEC media days and said Kentucky will win big
- 17:00Speaker 7: because of me. Do me a favor and just win.
- 17:03Speaker 7: I don't have to hear you're gonna win big because
- 17:05Speaker 7: of you. If you could be Mark Stoops at Kentucky
- 17:08Speaker 7: where you're five hundred every year, your Kentucky football is
- 17:12Speaker 7: just like a placeholder until Kentucky basketball. Will Stein, let's
- 17:17Speaker 7: talking do me a favor?
- 17:18Speaker 4: Is this Willy Cally Stein?
- 17:22Speaker 7: Different?
- 17:22Speaker 4: Different, interesting couple of Stein's.
- 17:24Speaker 7: This is uh Oregon's OC from last season?
- 17:29Speaker 4: Why are you laughing?
- 17:30Speaker 3: Is it's just because I would this be Willy Coley Stein?
- 17:33Speaker 4: I mean Willie Stein.
- 17:35Speaker 7: You hear will Stein. And you here, Kentucky, you do
- 17:37Speaker 7: think Willy colly Stein just got.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Yes, I mean, thank you Taylor, right, you hear will Stein?
- 17:42Speaker 4: That's what you think?
- 17:42Speaker 5: Well, and in fairness to you, WILLI colly Stein was
- 17:45Speaker 5: in the news recently because he talked about something after
- 17:48Speaker 5: Brandon Clark passed away in Memphis, on how simple it
- 17:51Speaker 5: could be for somebody else to fall into drugs.
- 17:53Speaker 3: So I guess yeah, if you.
- 17:54Speaker 7: Had a notification from Scham's and it said Willy cauley
- 17:58Speaker 7: Stein is dropping the Lee Callie, believable. He's just gonna
- 18:03Speaker 7: go by will Stein for the right one. It's a
- 18:05Speaker 7: better head coaching name. Yes, coach Stein, mikeye, go ahead, do.
- 18:15Speaker 9: Me a favor.
- 18:17Speaker 6: Enough with the uniforms and the new helmets and stuff,
- 18:20Speaker 6: the Jets are all excited.
- 18:21Speaker 9: We unveiled the new white out uniforms. You know what,
- 18:24Speaker 9: how about you unveil a win.
- 18:25Speaker 12: How about you do anything to get us excited besides
- 18:28Speaker 12: adding a different color to a uniform for a team
- 18:32Speaker 12: that we're no team that is below five hundred should
- 18:35Speaker 12: get a new.
- 18:36Speaker 9: Uniform and have some big unveiling. We don't care. We
- 18:39Speaker 9: just want to see good football. Enough with it.
- 18:42Speaker 4: I mean, look good, feel good, play good.
- 18:44Speaker 9: You know you know what, play good, and then you
- 18:47Speaker 9: can do all the round.
- 18:49Speaker 7: I do like Mikey's suggestion there, though, you have to
- 18:52Speaker 7: win a certain amount of games a certain win percentage
- 18:56Speaker 7: before you could kind of cross the threshold of unlocking.
- 18:59Speaker 7: It's like when you go into a video game and
- 19:01Speaker 7: everything starts unlocked or locked, and you have to unlock
- 19:04Speaker 7: it step by step. I think NFL teams should have
- 19:07Speaker 7: to win a certain amount of games before they could
- 19:08Speaker 7: start unlocking alternate helmets. It's like worry about the meat
- 19:12Speaker 7: and potatoes.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Right, it should be play the browns look the same.
- 19:16Speaker 1: It should be play good and you're gonna look good
- 19:18Speaker 1: and feel good.
- 19:19Speaker 7: Right, It's like a chicken or the egg.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Well, it doesn't matter what uniforms you're wearing. If you're
- 19:24Speaker 1: playing well, no one's getting it masked. Everything it does.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Winning does that? Playing well does that? The Jets have
- 19:30Speaker 4: never done that.
- 19:32Speaker 6: Congratulations Jets, you have more helmet variations than you do wins.
- 19:36Speaker 7: And remember the Bucks creamsicle jerseys from when they first
- 19:39Speaker 7: debuted those. Weren't they one of the worst teams in
- 19:41Speaker 7: the league when they were wearing those.
- 19:42Speaker 4: Yeah they look good, they felt good, they played poorly.
- 19:45Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't mind a bunch of different helmets as
- 19:47Speaker 5: long as you have one go to that you go
- 19:50Speaker 5: to more regularly than the rest of them. Because I'm
- 19:54Speaker 5: not buying helmets, I don't care. It's not a way
- 19:56Speaker 5: to make me spend money. If it's jerseys, that's a
- 19:58Speaker 5: whole different story. Many jerseys, But the helmets, you can
- 20:02Speaker 5: mix it up.
- 20:02Speaker 4: All you want. What's the Dolphins go to helmet?
- 20:06Speaker 3: It should be that throwback that they should be.
- 20:08Speaker 9: That's just beautiful.
- 20:10Speaker 4: I could think of plenty of teams who played well
- 20:13Speaker 4: and look bad.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I could think of plenty of teams who look good
- 20:17Speaker 1: and played terribly, like the Bucks.
- 20:19Speaker 5: You can't tell me that the Florida State Seminoles have
- 20:21Speaker 5: ever looked good that. I hate that color combination. I
- 20:24Speaker 5: hate their uniforms, but they were really good.
- 20:26Speaker 4: For a while.
- 20:27Speaker 1: I love their uniforms, and yeah they look good, but
- 20:30Speaker 1: they're recently played poorly.
- 20:32Speaker 7: You know, I think the best example ever in sports
- 20:36Speaker 7: history of a team looking bad but playing good like that,
- 20:40Speaker 7: that difference the Pittsburgh Steelers throwback uniforms where it's like
- 20:45Speaker 7: the shripe uniforms. Ben Roethlisberger, great quarterback, those Steeler teams, orderline,
- 20:51Speaker 7: great Steeler teams, but that throwback uniform, Oh god awful.
- 20:55Speaker 9: Burnham, they look like nineteen thirties prisoners.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Terrible. They won two championship. What are you doing?
- 21:04Speaker 7: I don't know what I was doing there with the
- 21:05Speaker 7: Steelers like historically a very great team, a great run franchise,
- 21:10Speaker 7: and it felt like I did kind of sideswipe them
- 21:12Speaker 7: on my way to try to make that point.
- 21:14Speaker 4: You absolutely did.
- 21:15Speaker 1: You're thirty nine days away from North Carolina's opening football
- 21:18Speaker 1: game against DCU.
- 21:19Speaker 7: How you feeling you have, Bill Belichick, do me a favor,
- 21:22Speaker 7: Get out of Chapel Hill, stay in Ireland.
- 21:26Speaker 5: You gotta hate that it's on the stage by itself
- 21:28Speaker 5: right to start at the college football season.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Didn't they do that last time as well?
- 21:32Speaker 7: Is you could have stopped that sentence that you gotta
- 21:34Speaker 7: hate because I hate everything that North Carolina and Bill
- 21:37Speaker 7: Belichick do right.
- 21:37Speaker 13: Now, okay, thank you, But if they win against DCU,
- 21:42Speaker 13: I mean, historically the the Ireland opening game has been
- 21:47Speaker 13: like a loser leaves town game, where whoever loses that game.
- 21:51Speaker 7: Something about that trip coming home, your season just unravels.
- 21:55Speaker 7: Like last year Kansas State came in with pretty big expectations.
- 22:00Speaker 7: Like by the time Kansas State was losing that game,
- 22:02Speaker 7: Avery Johnson, their quarterback, his family was like fighting in
- 22:05Speaker 7: the parking lot.
- 22:05Speaker 5: But in this scenario there in Ireland, so both teams
- 22:08Speaker 5: leave town regardless of who wins or who loses.
- 22:11Speaker 7: Yeah, it's kind of like a double loser leaves town.
- 22:14Speaker 7: Like you're everybody's leaving town. But once you get back home,
- 22:18Speaker 7: leave your leave your current town, like once North Carolina
- 22:21Speaker 7: gets back to Chapel Hill, Bill Belichick, then you're leaving town.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Did you say Avery Johnson yep, the former Spurs point guard.
- 22:29Speaker 7: Or no, he didn't come back to college to play football,
- 22:33Speaker 7: Avery Johnson and Willie Cauley Stein very four different people
- 22:38Speaker 7: on this equation. Will Stein, Willy Caley Stein, Avery Johnson,
- 22:42Speaker 7: the Kansas State quarterback, Avery Johnson, the former basketball coach.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Better name Verie Johnson, not that better name for a
- 22:50Speaker 1: college basketball coach Willie Stein or Willie Cauley Stett put
- 22:56Speaker 1: that on.
- 22:56Speaker 4: The Bowl Taylor, But he's also coaching football my bit football? Yes,
- 23:03Speaker 4: that throws everything off.
- 23:04Speaker 7: Yeah, would make it even weirder for why Willy Caley Stein?
- 23:06Speaker 1: Yes, but it's now making more sense as to why
- 23:08Speaker 1: is he was laughing so hard when I asked if
- 23:10Speaker 1: it was Willy Caley Stein.
- 23:11Speaker 6: Ye, would you rather have Willy Stein coaching your football
- 23:15Speaker 6: team or Willy Cauley Stein coaching your basketball That's what.
- 23:18Speaker 4: We put on the poll. Good job, Mike ya.
- 23:20Speaker 1: I had no idea we were talking about football until
- 23:24Speaker 1: just now.
- 23:25Speaker 4: Go ahead, is he?
- 23:26Speaker 5: Oh man, do me a favor, folks, Yes, just slow
- 23:29Speaker 5: down on the conspiracy theories just a little bit.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Everything is not a conspiracy, Stu.
- 23:35Speaker 5: I don't know if you heard this one, but there
- 23:37Speaker 5: is an image or of a video of the Argentina
- 23:40Speaker 5: players before the match the final coming out looking a
- 23:44Speaker 5: little sad, looking like that. There might have been one
- 23:47Speaker 5: or two people, maybe even crying or had like red eyes.
- 23:50Speaker 5: And it was you hear Leo Messi saying in Spanish, Hey,
- 23:54Speaker 5: forget about that, don't worry, let's just go play. You
- 23:58Speaker 5: know what that's turning into, stud What a conspiracy theory
- 24:02Speaker 5: that they were told.
- 24:03Speaker 4: In the locker room.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Hey, you guys aren't gonna win this one. Sorry about that?
- 24:08Speaker 5: And yeah, and this has already decided Spain's gonna win it,
- 24:12Speaker 5: and then you follow that up with a clip I
- 24:14Speaker 5: forget the name of the player, but one of the
- 24:16Speaker 5: players who basically didn't mark his man on Spain's game
- 24:20Speaker 5: winning goal or World Cup winning goal. And then you
- 24:23Speaker 5: do just a little bit of research and realize, yeah,
- 24:25Speaker 5: that dude had a twisted.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Ankle and was not really running very well. But everybody's convinced.
- 24:29Speaker 5: They've changed the conspiracy theory from fix it for Argentina
- 24:33Speaker 5: to oh, Argentina was told before the mats that they
- 24:36Speaker 5: were before the game that they weren't going to win.
- 24:39Speaker 4: It's just a little out of control with all.
- 24:41Speaker 3: The conspiracy theories, is he.
- 24:42Speaker 7: I am firmly I've always been firmly in the camp
- 24:45Speaker 7: of Leo Messi is the goat in soccer. When it
- 24:47Speaker 7: comes to the Messi Ronaldo debate.
- 24:49Speaker 4: Uh huh.
- 24:51Speaker 7: He started to lose me though. In that World Cup
- 24:53Speaker 7: final way, Kukarea covers his mouth for like zero point
- 24:57Speaker 7: two seconds and then Leo Messi he runs back and
- 25:02Speaker 7: tattles to the referee saying, hey, he covered his mouth.
- 25:04Speaker 7: He covered his mouth, and Cooker is like, I just
- 25:06Speaker 7: put my hand on my mouth. For a second, it
- 25:08Speaker 7: looked like it looked like Couckrehat could have been just
- 25:09Speaker 7: wiping something off his mouth. That's how quickly his hand
- 25:12Speaker 7: was to his mouth. I think Messi, I'm looking at
- 25:14Speaker 7: Messi a little differently when it comes.
- 25:16Speaker 4: This is where people go.
- 25:17Speaker 5: Lose me with that argument is did you see how
- 25:20Speaker 5: quick it was? Just like a hey, hey, hey, and
- 25:22Speaker 5: he just didn't really follow up. It's not like he
- 25:25Speaker 5: actually spoke to the official about it. It was, Hey,
- 25:28Speaker 5: you want to come talk to me like that, I'm
- 25:29Speaker 5: going to give a signal just to give it right.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Back, ye, Stu.
- 25:32Speaker 7: Michael Jordan's not doing that.
- 25:34Speaker 4: No, he never well, he.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Asked for it. He didn't actually ask for Coucarella to
- 25:37Speaker 3: get taken off.
- 25:38Speaker 4: No, but he wanted var to review it. He did.
- 25:41Speaker 4: It's like snitching. He also wouldn't have done happened if.
- 25:43Speaker 3: They weren't down a man already.
- 25:44Speaker 7: Yes, yeah, but imagine imagine the NBA Finals a Keem
- 25:49Speaker 7: versus Michael Jordan and Keem says something under his breath
- 25:53Speaker 7: to Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan turns around and says, hey,
- 25:55Speaker 7: ref did you hear what he said? People would be
- 25:57Speaker 7: looking at Michael Jordan differently.
- 25:58Speaker 3: You know who would do that, Lebron.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Lebron would absolutely tattle, right, which is why he's not
- 26:03Speaker 1: Michael Jordan.
- 26:04Speaker 4: Right.
- 26:08Speaker 5: I'm serious though. These conspiracy theories just lose me every time.
- 26:12Speaker 5: Man Like so the world has just decided that Argentina
- 26:16Speaker 5: was gonna win it until they didn't, and then they're
- 26:18Speaker 5: just gonna reverse course entirely because of one image. You
- 26:21Speaker 5: have no idea what could have happened in there could
- 26:23Speaker 5: have been a couple of teammates. It was probably what happened,
- 26:25Speaker 5: a couple of teammates just going at it and them
- 26:27Speaker 5: just saying, hey, forget about that stuff, let's.
- 26:29Speaker 4: Just move on. Might do me a favor. Was gonna
- 26:31Speaker 4: be about messy, but we spoke about them a lot.
- 26:33Speaker 4: It was gonna be hey, twice soccer.
- 26:35Speaker 1: It don't take two games off. But I have a
- 26:37Speaker 1: different one here For all you fake cops out there,
- 26:42Speaker 1: do me a favor. Stop being a snitch. You know
- 26:46Speaker 1: who I'm talking about. It's guys driving around in vans
- 26:49Speaker 1: with their fake sirens with stickers that say I report
- 26:53Speaker 1: suspicious activity.
- 26:56Speaker 4: Are you out of your bleeping minds?
- 26:59Speaker 1: Reporting soci in vicious activities with your fake siren does
- 27:02Speaker 1: not make you a police officer. Stop scaring me, stop
- 27:06Speaker 1: tailgating me, Stop making me think you're something that you
- 27:10Speaker 1: are not.
- 27:11Speaker 4: You are not a police officer. You're a glorified security person.
- 27:16Speaker 3: I'm unfamiliar with these folks, but look, they're all over
- 27:18Speaker 3: South Florida.
- 27:19Speaker 4: Dude.
- 27:19Speaker 7: The look you're getting right now is three people who
- 27:22Speaker 7: have never encountered anything that you're talking about.
- 27:24Speaker 4: Right? What mean you guys have never seen seen this?
- 27:27Speaker 7: All?
- 27:28Speaker 4: Right?
- 27:28Speaker 1: You guys need to come to Deerfield Beach. There are
- 27:33Speaker 1: multiple vans out there. Okay, they just drive around the neighborhood.
- 27:37Speaker 1: They have fake sirens. Occasionally they'll turn them on. They
- 27:40Speaker 1: make themselves look like law enforcement. And they actually have
- 27:43Speaker 1: stickers that say I report suspicious behavior. They're telling you
- 27:47Speaker 1: no suspicious behavior. You know what I do when I
- 27:49Speaker 1: see those guys I'm walking around Deerfield Beach, I give
- 27:53Speaker 1: them the finger and I light.
- 27:54Speaker 4: Up a jay.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Do you live on a movie set?
- 27:56Speaker 4: How's that for suspicious behavior?
- 27:58Speaker 9: And no one's ever reported me?
- 28:00Speaker 7: So we just got a text message from our producer
- 28:03Speaker 7: Jason from Sherman Oaks. He said, is this a Florida thing.
- 28:06Speaker 7: I turned to Ricardo and I said, port of Ricardo,
- 28:09Speaker 7: have you ever heard what Steve Gotts is talking about?
- 28:10Speaker 7: And he goes, not even close.
- 28:12Speaker 4: Well, they're all over the place that I'm telling you.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Be careful.
- 28:15Speaker 5: This feels like a test run in your neighborhood, specifically
- 28:18Speaker 5: because I've lived here in my entire life, and I
- 28:19Speaker 5: have never experienced that.
- 28:20Speaker 4: They're like messy. I mean, they will snitch you out.
- 28:24Speaker 1: What they do is they were bridged to the cops
- 28:27Speaker 1: because the cops can't see everything, and so these people
- 28:30Speaker 1: volunteer to report suspicious behavior.
- 28:33Speaker 4: To the cops. I don't need it, so it's like a.
- 28:36Speaker 3: Bunch of Karen's basically volunteering.
- 28:38Speaker 4: By the way, what good is the sticker? Why are
- 28:41Speaker 4: you telling me that you report suspicious behavior?
- 28:45Speaker 9: Do me a favor?
- 28:46Speaker 4: Stop?
- 28:48Speaker 14: Is he?
- 28:48Speaker 7: What this sounds like is security in a very gated community.
- 28:54Speaker 3: I think it's even got Sam thinking, what do you got, Sam?
- 28:57Speaker 14: This is like, yeah, like a neighborhood watch a neighborhood snow.
- 29:01Speaker 14: I don't know if it's actually legal to like blair
- 29:03Speaker 14: sirens unless you're like an emergency responder.
- 29:06Speaker 4: It's a while West down here, Sam, so no one cares.
- 29:10Speaker 14: I've like, I've seen like vehicles with like like lights
- 29:13Speaker 14: spinning around stuff.
- 29:14Speaker 7: But man, yeah, I don't know.
- 29:16Speaker 5: I was driving in front of a car that had
- 29:18Speaker 5: like yellow and white lights flashing behind.
- 29:20Speaker 3: Me, and I said, I don't have to respect that.
- 29:22Speaker 3: I have no idea what that is.
- 29:23Speaker 4: Get out.
- 29:23Speaker 5: I was also then there was three ambulances and a
- 29:27Speaker 5: fire truck, all just going about fifty five miles per
- 29:30Speaker 5: hour on the expressway in the middle lane, and I
- 29:32Speaker 5: was like, I don't think I have to address them either.
- 29:34Speaker 3: I'm just gonna fly right past.
- 29:35Speaker 4: I love that tailor just made it a wacked hut
- 29:37Speaker 4: security van.
- 29:38Speaker 3: I mean, it might as well be, because nobody knows
- 29:42Speaker 3: what you're talking about.
- 29:43Speaker 1: I mean the volunteer cops that aren't cops. They have
- 29:45Speaker 1: nothing better to do than scared. I was pulled over
- 29:47Speaker 1: by one.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Wait, you were pulled over by that's that's all, leak.
- 29:52Speaker 3: And what did he or she say to you?
- 29:53Speaker 4: He said, show me your license? I said, show me
- 29:55Speaker 4: your badge.
- 29:56Speaker 5: Yes, citizens arrest, talk about a time to stand up
- 30:00Speaker 5: for yourself.
- 30:01Speaker 7: Who are you?
- 30:04Speaker 4: He asked for my license?
- 30:05Speaker 5: I gave my middle finger I'm pretty sure you, sir,
- 30:07Speaker 5: are unconstitutional.
- 30:09Speaker 1: I mean, these are people who volunteer to kind of
- 30:11Speaker 1: look over, you know, they look over, they look over
- 30:14Speaker 1: the town, the city.
- 30:15Speaker 5: The stream, and an expensive neighborhood. I live right next
- 30:19Speaker 5: to Leo Messi and we don't have those people.
- 30:22Speaker 4: He should play soccer though.
- 30:23Speaker 7: Right, I mean, nobody in America has what Stu Gotts
- 30:26Speaker 7: is talking about.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Listen, you just don't know that they're now Colin.
- 30:28Speaker 7: If you've ever heard about what Stu Gotts.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Is talking about eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox,
- 30:33Speaker 1: These volunteer fake cops.
- 30:35Speaker 4: Okay, there's that authority to pull you over? Well, no,
- 30:40Speaker 4: you fall for it. I fell for it. I thought
- 30:41Speaker 4: it was a real cay.
- 30:42Speaker 5: I will say, in today's America, there seem to be
- 30:45Speaker 5: a lot of people who want to arrest other people.
- 30:48Speaker 3: Yeah, just even if they're not ky. So yeah, that
- 30:50Speaker 3: would it would make sense to find a few people
- 30:52Speaker 3: willing to volunteer to do that.
- 30:53Speaker 1: I realize it's odd to pull over when a guy
- 30:56Speaker 1: in a flatbed who turns on his fake sirens pulls
- 30:59Speaker 1: you over.
- 31:00Speaker 4: But I did. I didn't know what else to do.
- 31:01Speaker 4: I was confused.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I think you have to report him to the cops
- 31:04Speaker 3: because I don't think.
- 31:05Speaker 9: Turned on his disco light.
- 31:06Speaker 4: You got just pulled over. I don't know what to
- 31:12Speaker 4: tell you. Then they're everywhere. That's what I need to
- 31:15Speaker 4: tell you, And I'm just telling you.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Be careful, be careful of what you say in the
- 31:18Speaker 1: streets out there, because someone is listening and they will
- 31:21Speaker 1: report suspicious activity. Izzy has a word for him, our
- 31:27Speaker 1: our friends over at fandel I have no idea what
- 31:29Speaker 1: happened there. The music petered out, the segment was over.
- 31:32Speaker 1: I was enjoying myself and suddenly we had to pay
- 31:34Speaker 1: the bills.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Gotson Company
- 31:39Speaker 2: Live Weekday. Said three pm Eastern, twelve pm Pacific.
- 31:45Speaker 1: We'll get to who won the Trade in just a second.
- 31:47Speaker 1: There was a trade, therefore we have to play who
- 31:50Speaker 1: won the trade? But Izzy and I were laughing during
- 31:53Speaker 1: the break because I walked outside and on the television screen,
- 31:57Speaker 1: one of the TV screens, there was a news report
- 32:01Speaker 1: that said Point Break one of my favorite movies of
- 32:04Speaker 1: all time. Patrick Swayze Keanu Reeves just a great, great
- 32:09Speaker 1: movie that it's headed back to the theaters, and I
- 32:13Speaker 1: am wondering is there a movie, an old movie that
- 32:17Speaker 1: would get you to go back to the theater to watch,
- 32:20Speaker 1: because as much as I love Point Break, I ain't
- 32:23Speaker 1: going to a theater to see it.
- 32:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 32:25Speaker 5: I was gonna ask what you think of the concept
- 32:27Speaker 5: in general, or ask Taylor and Mikey what they think
- 32:30Speaker 5: of the concept in general, because I kind of like
- 32:33Speaker 5: the idea. But then I start racking my brain.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Is there a.
- 32:37Speaker 3: Movie that I really need the movie experience for again?
- 32:40Speaker 5: And the only thing I could think of is some
- 32:42Speaker 5: of my favorite comedies I would love to see in
- 32:44Speaker 5: a packed theater with a bunch of people so that
- 32:47Speaker 5: you get the full effect, but not really anything that
- 32:50Speaker 5: jumps to mind, and Point Break is certainly not top
- 32:52Speaker 5: of my list.
- 32:53Speaker 4: It would be at the top of my list. I
- 32:55Speaker 4: just I already saw it in a theater.
- 32:57Speaker 5: I'm gonna come up with a top five of what
- 32:59Speaker 5: I think you're favorite movies are while everybody else is
- 33:02Speaker 5: talking here, let's see how accurate I.
- 33:03Speaker 4: Put Field of Dreams in there By the way, he
- 33:05Speaker 4: wasn't going to be there.
- 33:07Speaker 7: I am so out on packed theaters because in theory,
- 33:11Speaker 7: it sounds good like you're having this shared experience with everybody.
- 33:14Speaker 7: But this weekend when I went to see The Odyssey,
- 33:18Speaker 7: my biggest problem. I don't need people clapping during a movie,
- 33:21Speaker 7: like like when he's it's Rocky and when he's shooting
- 33:25Speaker 7: an arrow. I don't need people cheering when when an
- 33:27Speaker 7: arrow connects with somebody, it's like.
- 33:29Speaker 4: Please get the butler.
- 33:31Speaker 3: I don't know where that arrow's going.
- 33:32Speaker 7: I didn't say who shot the arrow. I didn't say
- 33:34Speaker 7: I didn't say anything. I didn't say who the arrow
- 33:36Speaker 7: connected with.
- 33:38Speaker 1: There are some scenes from a movie which are worthy
- 33:41Speaker 1: of applause of everyone celebrating it. Yeah, you know when
- 33:45Speaker 1: Ralph Machio, the karate Kid, wins the All Valley Championships.
- 33:49Speaker 4: I mean that was a big moment, not in a theater.
- 33:51Speaker 7: It's like, it's like the people who are clapping on
- 33:53Speaker 7: a plane land.
- 33:56Speaker 1: But he used the crane kick. I mean he did,
- 33:58Speaker 1: and he pulled it off with a broke leg. I mean,
- 34:02Speaker 1: go ahead, Mikey.
- 34:03Speaker 9: Pop gun Maverick the ending. Yeah, I cheered, and I'm
- 34:08Speaker 9: not gonna I.
- 34:09Speaker 4: Will tell you. I saw that in the theater right.
- 34:11Speaker 1: It was during COVID. I saw it in the theater
- 34:14Speaker 1: and I gave him a standing ovation I did.
- 34:17Speaker 7: The only places where cheers belong are at sporting games.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Well, the reason I would want it wouldn't be for cheering.
- 34:23Speaker 3: It wouldn't be for any of that.
- 34:24Speaker 4: It would just be for laughter.
- 34:26Speaker 5: It would just be for laughter, because I feel like
- 34:27Speaker 5: you get more laughter, you get like it makes it
- 34:30Speaker 5: even funnier to you.
- 34:31Speaker 4: But how about Taylor.
- 34:32Speaker 1: His life is so limited that he only wants people
- 34:35Speaker 1: to applause and cheer at.
- 34:37Speaker 9: A sporting event.
- 34:38Speaker 7: And it's a concerts too real.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Oh that's very nice of you, thank you, thank you. Yeah,
- 34:43Speaker 1: someone's wedding. Perhaps, I don't know.
- 34:45Speaker 3: All right, I've got its top five movies.
- 34:50Speaker 6: I love the idea that before Taylor said that he
- 34:53Speaker 6: wasn't cheering at concerts like.
- 34:55Speaker 9: They go, are you guys ready to rock? And it's
- 34:57Speaker 9: just sorry, Tyler said.
- 35:00Speaker 4: We can.
- 35:01Speaker 3: Tayler just gives a thumbs out.
- 35:07Speaker 4: O L I Rocky four, Well, Rocky four is my
- 35:10Speaker 4: favorite Rocky really? Okay?
- 35:12Speaker 3: I Rocky three?
- 35:13Speaker 4: Yes? Well, O l I Rocky three.
- 35:15Speaker 1: I ranked the Rockies this way, ranky, Rocky four is one,
- 35:20Speaker 1: Rocky three is two, Rocky two is two, and Rocky
- 35:23Speaker 1: is four.
- 35:25Speaker 3: I'm sorry three and then four, I gottail.
- 35:28Speaker 4: Let me try again.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Rocky four is one, okay, Rocky three is number two,
- 35:34Speaker 1: Rocky two is number three, and Rocky is number four.
- 35:37Speaker 4: You don't need to go past Rocky four. That's it.
- 35:40Speaker 4: I mean Rocky five is it?
- 35:41Speaker 3: Didn't leak disaster?
- 35:42Speaker 4: Did happened? Dude?
- 35:43Speaker 7: Did you see the movie trailer for I Play Rocky?
- 35:46Speaker 8: No?
- 35:49Speaker 4: Watch it.
- 35:49Speaker 7: It's Sevester Saloon as a failing actor writing the ultimate
- 35:54Speaker 7: underdog story. He's fighting for a chance to play the
- 35:57Speaker 7: role of a lifetime Rocky bout boat Wow.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Spoiler, but somehow breaks the fourth well weird.
- 36:04Speaker 5: By the way, Taylor, after I get through this list,
- 36:07Speaker 5: because you mentioned the Odyssey on Saturday night, you then
- 36:09Speaker 5: have to tell us how the rest of your Saturday
- 36:11Speaker 5: night went. Number five karate Kid.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Yes, the owen odyssey stands for over rating. You're asking
- 36:19Speaker 1: a lot at a tailor. We have to play who
- 36:20Speaker 1: won the trade?
- 36:21Speaker 4: Go ahead? Karate Kid is in my top five? All right? Great? Yeah?
- 36:23Speaker 5: Number four point break yes, number three, Field of Dreams.
- 36:31Speaker 5: Number two quick correction was Rocky three now it's Rocky four. Yes,
- 36:37Speaker 5: and number one Tangoing Cash Yes, absolutely, nail all right, Yeah,
- 36:41Speaker 5: nobody knows.
- 36:42Speaker 3: Stu goats like.
- 36:44Speaker 1: You're at the wrong Rocky in there. I think you
- 36:46Speaker 1: know what, Yes, I just forgot which is which? But okay,
- 36:50Speaker 1: that's a take I've given for years. I mean that
- 36:52Speaker 1: Rocky four is the best Rocky of them all.
- 36:54Speaker 5: Try to remember if it was three or four? I
- 36:56Speaker 5: thought it was the mister t one, of course it was.
- 36:59Speaker 5: What the heck was I now, if we all want
- 37:01Speaker 5: to laugh, let's hear about Taylor Saturday Night.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Oh jeez, it seems like you know something cheering at
- 37:06Speaker 1: a stand up comedy about Saturday night for a Louisville
- 37:09Speaker 1: so cheering police.
- 37:10Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 37:11Speaker 7: The quick recap is I was having car trouble, so
- 37:14Speaker 7: I took my bike to the movie to see The
- 37:17Speaker 7: Odyssey because it's like four and a half a mile ride. Yeah,
- 37:20Speaker 7: it's probably like twenty minutes, pretty easy ride. But the
- 37:24Speaker 7: movie is at eight o'clock. I get to the movie theater.
- 37:26Speaker 7: It's a three hour movie. Okay, I'm getting out at
- 37:29Speaker 7: eleven o'clock.
- 37:30Speaker 4: I get blood.
- 37:31Speaker 7: No, I look down and do that. Yeah, I look
- 37:33Speaker 7: down at everybody at padding and then I get out
- 37:36Speaker 7: of the theater and I'm like, okay, eleven o'clock. Let
- 37:39Speaker 7: me let me ride home real quick. I look at
- 37:41Speaker 7: where my bike is. It's not there. Somebody cut the like,
- 37:44Speaker 7: somebody cut the lock, somebody stole it.
- 37:46Speaker 4: Dangerous game like yeah.
- 37:49Speaker 7: So then I'm like, okay, let me call an uber.
- 37:53Speaker 7: But the problem was that I forgot during the movie.
- 37:55Speaker 7: I'm like, I'm somebody who's like in the back and
- 37:59Speaker 7: like I'm looking on social media. I'm like, maybe the
- 38:01Speaker 7: Lebron trades breaking. I already went in with a low,
- 38:04Speaker 7: low phone percentage. My phone dies that are in.
- 38:06Speaker 4: This three hour movie.
- 38:07Speaker 3: So the uber opportunity.
- 38:08Speaker 7: So there goes Uber and Lyft, Right. I go, okay,
- 38:11Speaker 7: at least I know where the bus route is. I
- 38:14Speaker 7: go to the bus stop. It's eleven fifteen. I look
- 38:17Speaker 7: on the sign buses stopped at eleven pm.
- 38:20Speaker 4: Yep.
- 38:20Speaker 7: So I have no phone, I have no car, no bike,
- 38:24Speaker 7: and I have no public transportation. I know how to
- 38:27Speaker 7: get home, so I'm like, I think I'm just gonna
- 38:30Speaker 7: have to walk this.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Yeah. Wait, Taylor, did you add all of those fake
- 38:33Speaker 4: cops when you needed them?
- 38:34Speaker 5: Did you do what I'll think about going into like
- 38:36Speaker 5: a seven eleven and just say, hey, can I just
- 38:38Speaker 5: charge my phone back there a little bit with one
- 38:40Speaker 5: of your chargers, so that I can call an uber
- 38:42Speaker 5: and just hang out for ten minutes.
- 38:44Speaker 7: No, that part really never crossed my mind because at
- 38:47Speaker 7: that point I was I was like so fuming mad
- 38:49Speaker 7: at everything in this situation right stacking where I'm like,
- 38:53Speaker 7: you know what, this is just gonna be a nice
- 38:55Speaker 7: walk home. Two hour walk home?
- 38:57Speaker 4: How long was it?
- 38:58Speaker 7: I mean it was a feurig and half mile. Google
- 39:01Speaker 7: Maps when I got home said it was a two
- 39:03Speaker 7: hour walk, but it was that's a slow pace. It
- 39:05Speaker 7: was probably an hour.
- 39:06Speaker 4: And aw, I'm in press. You rode your bike four
- 39:08Speaker 4: and a half miles.
- 39:09Speaker 15: It's a e bike. It wasn't e bike. I should
- 39:11Speaker 15: say those are fake bikes, right, I mean yeah, short
- 39:14Speaker 15: of walked in the movie, give me a favor, I mean.
- 39:17Speaker 4: Get a real bike pedal.
- 39:19Speaker 5: I felt terrible for Taylor, Like, I mean, I was
- 39:22Speaker 5: so many it was traumatic. When I was a kid,
- 39:24Speaker 5: I had four bikes stolen from me. One that was
- 39:26Speaker 5: like ten feet in front of me and I almost
- 39:28Speaker 5: chased him down. But having your bike stolen, I know,
- 39:31Speaker 5: it's like a childhood thing, but having your.
- 39:32Speaker 3: Bike stolen is the worst.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Yes, Ryan Fox could to join us, the Open Championship
- 39:37Speaker 1: winner from over the weekend. Excited to talk to him
- 39:40Speaker 1: in a few minutes. But there was a trade in
- 39:42Speaker 1: the NBA, so I was Sam, give me the music
- 39:44Speaker 1: here for who won the trade?
- 39:47Speaker 4: Exciting?
- 39:48Speaker 7: Welcome in everybody too, who one today? Oar contestant is
- 40:00Speaker 7: a career win percentage on around the Horn that is
- 40:03Speaker 7: point zero one worse than Jorge Sedano's. Reallyzy Gutierra is
- 40:08Speaker 7: welcome in.
- 40:09Speaker 4: Well.
- 40:09Speaker 3: To be fair, the ogs have a lower for winning
- 40:12Speaker 3: percentage and some of the newer people more intext glay,
- 40:15Speaker 3: did I do that to Huige?
- 40:16Speaker 4: I'm sorry?
- 40:18Speaker 7: Really both your win percentages were higher than Steve Gotts's though, yeah.
- 40:22Speaker 4: For what it time I never won. I mean it
- 40:24Speaker 4: was ridiculus.
- 40:25Speaker 3: Should have won that Halloween it was hilarious.
- 40:26Speaker 13: I know.
- 40:27Speaker 7: So this says you won four times Steve Gotts in
- 40:30Speaker 7: sixteen appearances.
- 40:31Speaker 4: Yeah, that's not bad.
- 40:32Speaker 15: Twenty twenty five percent exactly, and thank you, give or
- 40:38Speaker 15: take you know, so Isy.
- 40:39Speaker 7: The Atlanta Hawks received Lou Dort and Ryan Nemhard. The
- 40:43Speaker 7: Mavericks received this guy's name always trips me up, Zachary
- 40:48Speaker 7: Resach zachar and the Oklahoma City Thunder received three second
- 40:54Speaker 7: round picks, two via Atlanta, one via Dallas.
- 40:58Speaker 4: So is he.
- 41:05Speaker 5: I'm gonna go ahead and say that a team that
- 41:08Speaker 5: got actual players back for in that trade is the
- 41:11Speaker 5: team that won the trade, and that's the Atlanta Hawks. Look,
- 41:14Speaker 5: I understand everything that Thunder we're doing. It's all about
- 41:17Speaker 5: finances and so many teams decisions these days are made
- 41:20Speaker 5: based on finances right now. But yeah, the Atlanta Hawks,
- 41:24Speaker 5: when you look at what they can put together defensively
- 41:28Speaker 5: with Dyson Daniels and Lou Dort as your wings, I
- 41:30Speaker 5: mean that might be an.
- 41:32Speaker 3: Absolute like lockdown pairing.
- 41:34Speaker 5: But you throw in a name in Ryan Emhart that
- 41:37Speaker 5: people don't really know there's a second Mhart in the league.
- 41:40Speaker 5: Both he and his brother are excellent point guards, and
- 41:42Speaker 5: that's gonna be a sneaky addition to that Hawks team.
- 41:44Speaker 5: I'd be scared if I was the Knicks.
- 41:46Speaker 7: So this is the rare game where the host also
- 41:48Speaker 7: gives his opinions. Sometimes the correct answer we were looking
- 41:51Speaker 7: for is he was the Mavericks. I believe won the trade.
- 41:55Speaker 3: They got and they have what three of the last
- 41:58Speaker 3: eleven first round.
- 42:00Speaker 7: Again, they're they're just stockpiling number one picks over there.
- 42:03Speaker 7: But when you give up only a second round pick
- 42:06Speaker 7: to get the number one pick just a couple.
- 42:08Speaker 9: Of years removed, Well that's just reminds you.
- 42:10Speaker 4: But he's the contestant. You're nuts.
- 42:12Speaker 7: Yeah, but I had the right answer. Yeah, it's like
- 42:15Speaker 7: Pat's a jack knows what the right answer is.
- 42:18Speaker 4: He does it. They're spinning a wheel.
