- Sue: Eleven eleven on the clock seems an appropriate time to start chatting. What about? Well, how is it that a musician exists in amongst the rest of the population in peace and harmony when they have to make noise, if you're an acoustical instrument or singer, in order confirmation with the watch, in order to practice and work on your skill. In all the time that I lived in rented accommodations, my neighbors knew that I was a musician, but never knew from the fact of hearing my sound bleed into their lives. So I knew how to keep my energy contained within my living and practice space. Not because I put headphones on, but because sometimes it's just a matter of knowing when your neighbors aren't around and practicing. Being aware of your circumstances to best suit what you need to do. No one asks to hear you practice. I'm certain that maybe many of the neighbors around you enjoy listening to what they believe is music you're practicing or private performance. But nonetheless it's an invasion, a trespass. And so as musicians we learn to be very compassionate and understanding of other people in such a way that we learn to tread lightly. And still get to do the job that we need to do, which is, you know, you gotta play. One of the simple solution of course is to figure out a way to deaden the sound in your studio to give you the acoustics that you need, but at the same time not bleed out into public. You just figure out these solutions and you make it so. Well Not all musicians are cut from the same bolt of cloth in terms of how they view their music, as it is with everybody. Everybody has their own view on everything, so but like everything else in life, the behaviors of those that show that they have disregard for their music seeping out into the hearing of all of th those in the physical environment probably inconsiderate about other aspects of things that go on in their life. I'm not saying that to be a suspicious soul, I'm saying that You have to be able to discern, not judge, but understand that when people act out in certain ways, it might be indicators that other acts will point to a more informed decision about how to handle the energy of that person. Because after all, music isn't just tickling your hearing. It's a physical sensation because of the vibrations. Even if it isn't loud, it's still a vibration that affects you physically. Some people might consider that an assault. But more to the point, it's about a mindset of a person that lacks compassion potentially towards others. And when it comes from a musician, it's especially hurtful because we're folks that communicate expression of emotion through music. So we're very used to putting ourselves in energies that aren't necessarily how we feel in order to perform the music to its best in our opinion. We know how to manipulate energy and we know that you can't be untrue. And how you present yourself. You might be unaware, so it's always good to observe the actions of those around you to help guide you with your own actions. I'm more convinced than ever that there is a presence of demonic energies around us each and every day, and all we need to do is observe it for what it is and find another place in the universe. And that just might be not thinking about that person, not interacting with that person. However you come to that decision to limit your exposure to those energies is yours. But to be aware that that's something that you have to consider each and every moment of your day. And you could say, Well, I never leave my house. I don't interact with everybody. Well that's true, but that doesn't mean you don't also receive energies because energy flows through everything. We are energy. And we don't always read our energies correctly, in that we all can be fooled into believing that some energies are those that we actually generated from our own life force, but in fact we've received them f externally. They can be covered up because the energy is coming through a loved one. Catch you off guard in that way to lower your guard. And the reality is you should trust no one. You should suspect that through your discernment and your intuition you're gonna determine whether that loved one's words are worth acting upon in a positive way and that if it is negative you observe it. Don't let it get into your world by making something positive from that observation. When you don't have activities in your life that stimulate your mind and your vibe, like filling your brain with good stuff, whether it be education or learning a language or a hobby, your mind is open and unaware. It goes on this autopilot and can receive energies that are external to you that shouldn't be around you. Confirmation with Lucius Barkey. You're so subtle you're not gonna know. So being proactive about being positive is the way that you prevent these things from happening. And when you prevent these things from happening, the devil has fewer and fewer places to live. They have a place in the universe, those demons to live, and it's not in you. Confirmation with the bird. And the way to do that is to bring as much happiness and joy into your life as you can. And if you see yourself as a negative person, Then it's a matter of going within. And that's your choice to do. And if you choose not to, the people around you will see that action for what it is and may move away. Because they see it as well. And know that they have the power to control themselves and to isolate from things that aren't serving them well. Simple as that. Same thing is true with music. If you walk into an environment where music is playing, you might not be able to control it other than to ask the management to turn it off or down, lower the volume. So what do you do? In my case, I make many decisions. Well, how good is the food, first and foremost? So it's no different. And if you are a neighbor that is dealing with a musician who is unaware that they're bleeding their energy into your world through the production of their sound while they're practicing, you should respectfully have a conversation with them. Before you do that, do some research about cheap and effective ways to soundproof and deaden the reverberation in a an environment. Curtains, carpets. There's a whole bunch of deadening possibilities that you might have lying around your house to improve the relationship with your neighbors. Balance, right? Anyway, he's gotta go work on his paradidals. I as a former percussionist I can tell you then you they're a little tight in the wrist. So with that in mind, fill your brain with good stuff. Thanks for listening. I appreciate your energy.
