- 0:03Good morning, Good morning family, God, welcome back to the Morning Devo.
- 0:06Is your bro Sam Lopez a kadj Sam Rock, so Win is with
- 0:10a z dot org live that so Win is with a z dot org and
- 0:13streaming out all the social media platforms including YouTube on my YouTube channel, which
- 0:18is Dj sam Rock. I hope you're blessed the new start of a new
- 0:22week. Amen, and we're here once again on the Morning Devo on a
- 0:26session that I believe that if you start off with God, you start your
- 0:29day off in the word of God. Amen, you will start your day
- 0:32off in the right direction. And if you finish the day off, or
- 0:36you finish your night off before you go to sleep praying to the Lord of
- 0:40Heaven and Earth, Amen, your night will go according to the purposes of
- 0:44God. I truly believe that I'm not saying that nothing bad is gonna happen
- 0:48to me and nothing bad is gonna happen to you, because we live in
- 0:50a broken world. But what I am saying is that your spirit will be
- 0:54tuned in to what God has for your life and what God has for my
- 0:57life and for your family. Amen. Will lead us and guide us,
- 1:00and guard us and protect us. From the evil one, from evil,
- 1:03from things that are not supposed to be. God will make things straight when
- 1:10things look crooked, Amen, And He will be with us and in us
- 1:14and working through us. Amen. I know that for sure today we're gonna
- 1:18touch on the topic that I believe is very very pressing according to the analytics,
- 1:23a little technical here of what I'm seeing my chat ministry, Amen,
- 1:29of many people are dealing with this issue lately, and it's been just op
- 1:36pressing on my heart. And I really pray for these people and for these
- 1:40souls Amen, that are going through what I call and what it's known as
- 1:45depression. Men. And I know it's gonna sound tough this morning, Devo.
- 1:49Is gonna be tough because a lot of people are really really struggling with
- 1:55depression, Amen, for whatever reason. And today we're going to see from
- 2:00the word of God, Amen, how God is concerned with our concerns when
- 2:06it comes to depression, to mental health, a mental well being, our
- 2:10struggles in life a man. We might have anger issues, might have anxiety
- 2:15issues. But today we're about depression. Depression very important. Amen. If
- 2:21you were sitting in front of me and we were in the studio together,
- 2:24and you were telling me you were depressed. Amen, I would take you
- 2:28to these same scriptures and then I'm going to share today, Amen, on
- 2:31the morning Devo. I don't see the live here or here it goes.
- 2:38That was crazy delay, it is imposed. Okay, this is the question,
- 2:43This is the question I have. Is it possible that sin is the
- 2:47cause of depression? You ever wondered why do I feel so depressed? Why
- 2:53do I feel so down today? Could it be? This is my question?
- 3:00Is it possible that sin falling short of the target? Falling short of
- 3:07the mark that God has set for us? Amen? Is it possible that
- 3:14sin is the cause of depression? That's the question for today. We're going
- 3:16to be in Genesis chapter number four versus six to seven. That will be
- 3:22our key scripture for today, Genesis chapter four versus six to seven. So
- 3:27we're going to be there today in the morning Devo. If you have any
- 3:30questions, comments, concerns, prayer requests, or anything along those lines,
- 3:36please don't hesitate to leave it on a live chat. That's what we're here
- 3:38for. That's what we do here in the morning Devote, and I hope
- 3:42and pray that you'll be blessed today, Amen, and helped and delivered and
- 3:47set free from anything that the enemy of your soul and the enemy of my
- 3:52soul is trying to do to us mentally and physically. You know, there's
- 3:55a battle field of going right on right now, and there's a battle going
- 4:00on for our minds to control of our minds. Is a battle going on
- 4:02right now. We may not see with our physical eyes, but we know
- 4:06it's there, and we know spiritually, Amen and supernaturally, that God is
- 4:12fighting for us, and he wins the battle. He won the war,
- 4:16He wins the battles, and he protects and guide to us. I'm sorry,
- 4:19I keep on looking down so that I want to make sure I don't
- 4:21forget to share this. On the Blaze Bible Studies is a private group.
- 4:28It's called the Blaze Bible Studies. Amen. If you're not part of that
- 4:30group, a man just requests to be a part of it, and man,
- 4:33you'll be there along with over seven hundred individuals that are on there on
- 4:39the Bible Study Group. Amen, the Blaze Bible Studies. So let's go
- 4:43for it. Let's see what God has for us today on the morning DEVO
- 4:46and Amen. We're gonna pray first. After we pray, we'll share this
- 4:49out for like sixty seconds, and when we come back on the other side
- 4:53of the sixty seconds, we'll make sure that we get right into it.
- 4:57Today's titles called depression made it very clear. We're talking about depression and a
- 5:04lot of us are struggling in this area. And I'm praying and I'm hoping,
- 5:08and I'm trusting God by way of Holy Spirit that he will get you
- 5:11out of there, Amen, get you out of that down feeling and that
- 5:15downcast spirit. He will get you out, Amen, because He loves you.
- 5:19He wants you to lift you up. He doesn't want to beat you
- 5:21down like so many people think that God is just up there just wants to
- 5:25beat us down every time we make a mistake or every time we send that
- 5:29God's got to take a hammer and clock us over the head with it.
- 5:32No, that's not the God that I serve. I don't know what God
- 5:34that is a man. All I know is the God that we serve.
- 5:38The God that I serve is the God of love, grace and mercy.
- 5:42So Father, I thank you so much for today. I thank you lot
- 5:45God that you have taken me out for my depression and when I was dealing
- 5:49with depression and I was dealing with all those thoughts. Amen, you came
- 5:55to where I was to bring me to where you are. And I thank
- 5:59you, Lo God, that you can continue to do that day by day
- 6:01in my life. And I know Father, that you would do that in
- 6:04every single individual life who's dealing right now with depression. I pray a peace
- 6:09over their hearts, peace over their minds, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
- 6:14I pray the hosts that Heaven will move according to your word for us today,
- 6:17that you have for us today, your inspired word, your word that
- 6:21is so powerful that it could change our circumstances. It could change and transform
- 6:27our lives right now in an instant. All we have to do, Lord
- 6:30God, Thank you, Lord God, that all we have to do is
- 6:32trust and put our faith and hope in You, Lord Jesus. I pray
- 6:36forth arkring angels and dispatch ministering angels, warrant angels to do the works of
- 6:43the work that you have intended for those angelic hosts to do in our lives,
- 6:47individually and together. I pray that by the power and by the authority
- 6:53of the name of Yeshuah Hamashiak Jesus the Christ, the Lord on High.
- 6:58I pray, Lord God, that you would can send to teach us and
- 7:00continue to move us in the right direction as we are inspired by your word,
- 7:04and we're continue to trust in your word and believe in your word and
- 7:09share and spread your word by way of Holy Spirit. God. My prayer,
- 7:13it's by faith knowing that you answer these prayers according to your purpose.
- 7:16For each individual that's connecting now that will connect later and them and their families
- 7:21meet and my families. Thank you for the hedge of protection that no enemy,
- 7:26no weapon will be forged against us that will prosper. The weapons will
- 7:30be forged, but they will not prosper. The enemy we will try to
- 7:33attack our families. We try to attack our finances. You will try to
- 7:38attack our health. He would try to attack our mind. Well. By
- 7:41the power that we have in Christ, when we're in Christ, none of
- 7:46that will succeed. Thank you for all of it right now in Jesus' name,
- 7:49Amen and amen. So let's go for it. Help me share this
- 7:54out sixty seconds. If you know somebody right now that's not on social media,
- 7:58but you know they can be helped by Today's Morning Devo send them straight
- 8:01to live that So when is with A Z the Orgy when we're live,
- 8:05or so when is with A Z the Orgy? You can send them the
- 8:09link right then and there. Also you can just copy and paste the details
- 8:13of this right now, this live and send them the details and they could
- 8:16click to any button they want to go to. They want to go to
- 8:20social media, or they want to go to the website. It'll be right
- 8:22there by way of clicking the links. So thank you so much in advance,
- 8:26and after the sixty seconds we'll get right into it. I promise I'd
- 8:31be right back. So many, so many groups I share to Amen,
- 10:09it's incredible. As soon as I look up all my timer times already done.
- 10:15Amen. So let's see what the Lord has for us. We're talking
- 10:18about something that I believe that a lot of us are going through. Amen,
- 10:22from the ministry that I have when I do, I call it ap
- 10:28apologetics. So I call it the ministry and social media and on these apps,
- 10:33I have a chat platform Amen that I get literally literally hundreds of chats
- 10:39a week. Amen. If you're willing to help in that part of the
- 10:43ministry. Amen. I could use some help, some volunteers, and if
- 10:48you're willing to share what you know by way of the gospel, Amen.
- 10:54I'm putting together a webinar soon to introduce that to people that don't know about
- 11:01the ministry that I do outside of what I'm doing right now. Amen.
- 11:07And it's a task, Amen. But I believe there's souls that because of
- 11:13chat, because text text thing, people will rather text than talk. I
- 11:18believe it's a powerful ministry. We want to be a part of that.
- 11:22Stay tuned. I got something coming very soon. Low willing, Amen.
- 11:26If he allows me to get that done, let's go for it. I'm
- 11:30gonna get the screens ready for those who are just listening. No worry,
- 11:33no no problem. You're gonna hear word for word what we're reading together.
- 11:37Amen. We're gonna be in Genesis chapter number four, verse versus six to
- 11:43seven. Amen. Genesis four versus six to seven. Today we're talking about
- 11:48depression. Amen. And that I kind of like cringe when I say,
- 11:52because I know this is going to hit home for a lot of people,
- 11:58hit home for a lot of people, and pay that try to help.
- 12:00Amen. And I'm trusting the word of God and the spirit of God aspire
- 12:05word of God to really help us through. If that's you, Amen,
- 12:11definitely could happen to any single person, any one of us. Amen.
- 12:15Depression hits and it's a tough place to be. But I'm believing that God
- 12:18knows before it happens in our lives, and he's willing and his purposes and
- 12:24plan is to help us through under depression. Genesis chapter four, verses six
- 12:30to seven. The Bible says, why are you so angry? The Lord
- 12:37asks kin, why do you look so dejected? Other versions say why do
- 12:41you look so downcast? You will be accepted if you do what is right,
- 12:48But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out.
- 12:54Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you, but you must
- 13:01subdue it and be its master. Wow. If you know the story about
- 13:07canaan Abel, you know the little brothers, right, and one brother killed
- 13:11the other because he felt that God didn't receive his offering like his brother was
- 13:18received. So he got angry and literally literally his anger caused him to sin
- 13:26against his brother to a point where he killed his brother. So's it's tough,
- 13:35It's a tough conversation, Amen, but I believe it's an important conversation
- 13:39to have, Brother Rickie. God bless you. Good morning. Thank God
- 13:41for another day. Yes, thank God for a new day and another day.
- 13:46You're so right. We need to thank God for every single day that
- 13:50we're alive. Amen. Had it not been for the Lord, Amen,
- 13:54where will we be today? Amen? So thank you so much for coming
- 13:56through to the morning Devo, my brother, my friends, So listen,
- 14:01what does this mean? Is it possible that sin could be the cause of
- 14:05depression? I know people might be so genetics, it's a disorder and a
- 14:13hormonal thing. Psychiatrist say it is a mental health issue Amen, And I
- 14:18think that's true in certain cases as well. But also I believe this could
- 14:24be a trigger to all kinds of depression, sin, anger, murderous thoughts,
- 14:31suicidal thoughts. Where does that come from? Well, if you're a
- 14:33believer in God and Christ, in Christ Jesus, those things come from outside
- 14:39and try to come inside of our way of thinking. Amen. And when
- 14:43whatever you ponder, whatever you think about the most, will become a reality
- 14:48physically, so something that's spiritual. Right. I believe our thoughts are spiritual
- 14:54I believe there's a battle field for our minds. I believe that right now,
- 14:56thoughts are being hurled through social media there right now, and distraction is
- 15:01trying to hit you and trying to hit me, and the enemy is trying
- 15:05to stop these messages. I believe that's all happening right now. But if
- 15:09we stay focused on the perfector and the author and finisher of our faith,
- 15:15Jesus, we will be okay, and we will fight the good fight of
- 15:18faith over our minds. I think that's where it's all at. In our
- 15:22mind the enemy knows. If he can control our thoughts, he will control
- 15:26our attitude. If we can control our attitude, he will control our actions.
- 15:30If we can control our actions, then we are bound to what he
- 15:33wants us to do. But how many people know that if you're in Christ,
- 15:37God will guard our hearts and minds through his power, through his love,
- 15:41through his grace, and through his mercy. And when we follow put
- 15:43our whole faith in trust in Him, we will not fail. We will
- 15:46be in victory. We will walk forward in power and an authority. And
- 15:50when depression tries to hit, we stop depression at the door. When Jesus
- 15:54answers the door of depression and says no more. Amen. So this is
- 16:00a fight, a good fight of faith for our minds, for our mental
- 16:03health, for our well being a man. And if you're in a place
- 16:07of anger and God is clear about anger, he says, don't go to
- 16:10sleep angry. You don't let you could be angry, but do not sin
- 16:14because of anger. God is clear by anger. We need to be present
- 16:18in the power of God. We need to know who we are, whose
- 16:22we are, what we're doing. We need to be sober minded, we
- 16:26need to think clearly. Our conscience could be cleared up right now. Depression
- 16:30could be caused by sin. Absolutely. I believe that one hundred percent.
- 16:33According to the Cananable story, we know that one of the brothers was really
- 16:40angry at the other brother, and I believe the reason why King killed Abel
- 16:45is because he felt that he wasn't being received, or he wasn't being yet
- 16:52received by God the way his brother was. It could have been triggered by
- 16:56jealousy anger, definitely, and it could cause him to be downcast. This
- 17:02version says that the Lord said to King, why you're so angry? Why
- 17:07is your face downcast? See that why you're so depressed. And God is
- 17:12asking the question to make Adam realize what he had done. Excuse me,
- 17:18not Adam, what Cain had done, trying to make him realize, trying
- 17:22to make him admit it. Right. If you do what is right,
- 17:29simply right. If you do what is right, you get the right results.
- 17:33I believe that that's a universal truth. It's right, get the right
- 17:38results. I'm not saying that bad things are not going to happen. I
- 17:41hope you hear me. Clearly, we're in a broken world. I understand
- 17:45clearly that this world is broken. I understand clearly that everybody doesn't believe in
- 17:51the same God that we believe in that I believe in. I understand that
- 17:53everybody doesn't want to follow the Lord Jesus Christ, that everybody doesn't believe that
- 17:57Jesus is God. Understand that completely. I hear the arguments. I'm in
- 18:03conversation sometimes myself about it. But theymen. But I know there's a God
- 18:07of having and earth, and I know there's a God who changed me and
- 18:10transformed my life. He continues you and transform you. All you have to
- 18:15do, I know he can, or you have to do is trust him.
- 18:18So when God approached Cain with these questions, why are you angry?
- 18:22We could ask ourselves why we get angry? Why am I angry? Right?
- 18:27Why are you angry? That's a question. But the Frank, I
- 18:30see you, God, bless you, Welcome back to the morning, Devo.
- 18:33Good morning. People sometimes get angry because they can't fix the problem right
- 18:38away, so their minds get corrupted by the enemy. Yes, yes,
- 18:42especially men. Right, we want to fix the problem right away, and
- 18:45if we can't figure it out, and a lot of men are like this,
- 18:48including myself. The fact that we can't figure something out, like you
- 18:53said, causes us to wonder, causes us to get into places where our
- 18:59minds shouldn't be. Amen. So I literally have to force myself sometimes to
- 19:04just back up, slow down, not say much, ponder on what God
- 19:10is saying, try to hear his voice more than what I'm trying to do.
- 19:14I have to force myself to do that. Thank you so much for
- 19:15the comment. So, if you do what is right, you will not
- 19:22be you will will you not be accepted? Amen? In other words,
- 19:27if you do what is right with God, won't God accept you? Right?
- 19:32That's the question. But if you do not do what is right sin.
- 19:37So sin is something that you know is not right, and you do
- 19:41it anyway right, especially if we have the Holy Spirit God living in us,
- 19:47Holy Spirit God living in us. When we sin, having the Holy
- 19:51Spirit of God living inside of us, do you understand that we're sinning against
- 19:55Holy Spirit first and foremost, and we sin against our own bodies and against
- 20:00other people. Hey man, we know what's right, but we rather do
- 20:03what's wrong. That's the battle between the Spirit of God, which is always
- 20:07right, which is always doing good things, which is always full of truth,
- 20:10which is always powerful, and our flesh, our old nature, trying
- 20:15to come back and say, hey, I'm here, I want to do
- 20:17what I want to do, so let me do what I want to do.
- 20:18The flesh always wants its own way, and it could get us into
- 20:22a place of anger and depression if we're not careful. That's why God continues
- 20:27to say, Sis a joint and I see you. Good morning, God,
- 20:30bless you. Welcome to the morning, Devo. So God says,
- 20:33but if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your
- 20:40door. It desires. Sin is on its own, It has its own
- 20:45kind of power. It desires to have you, but you must master it.
- 20:49Don't let sin master you. You are a master over sin if you
- 20:55have the power to overcome sin by the power holding spirit of God. Realized
- 21:00this a long time ago. When I first got saved, I saw the
- 21:03difference. I was like, wait a minute, these things, these thoughts,
- 21:07these desires, this depression, this anxiety cannot control me anymore. Because
- 21:11I noticed when God saved my life, Amen, I prayed to him and
- 21:17he answered the prayer. It was an amazing, amazing encounter that I had
- 21:21with God personally, and when he answered the prayer, I was like,
- 21:25I felt like different. I already knew there was something going on. I
- 21:29didn't know what was going on, to be honest, but I knew something
- 21:32woke up inside of me. It was the spirit man. Now I know
- 21:34is the spirit man inside of me that woke up. And when the depression,
- 21:40the anger, and those issues used to come, I used to be
- 21:41able to look at it at that point on, going from that point forward
- 21:45and tell those things now, not today. You ain't gonna be able to
- 21:49master my thoughts. You're not gonna be able to control me. You're not
- 21:52gonna be able to keep me in depression any longer. And I started diving
- 21:56into the word because now I knew. I said, okay, now it's
- 22:00on. Now I got a weapon of warfare. Now I have God,
- 22:03Now I have Christ Jesus, now I have Holy Spirit. It's on and
- 22:07popping right now. Depression, you gotta go, Anxiety, you gotta go,
- 22:12evil, sinful desires. You're gonna be dealt with. And it's gonna
- 22:15be a good fight of faith moving forward. And I was used to fighting
- 22:19my way through, Amen. But now with the power Holy Spirit God,
- 22:22we have a way to fight that. The enemy can't stop us. That
- 22:26depression when it tries to control our mind, control our life, cannot stay
- 22:32any longer. So, yes, depression is real. We see all through
- 22:37the scriptures, the men of God, they dealt with anxiety, anger,
- 22:41depression, all of it. Amen. So what would make us think that
- 22:45we wouldn't go through the same situations and struggle the same way as all the
- 22:51prophets and the apostles struggled with and people that we see all through the scriptures.
- 22:56Jesus himself, a man, came to a place where he knew he
- 23:00was going to suffering across and he came to the Garden of consentimony and you
- 23:03can read it for yourself. And he was stressed and man, his body
- 23:07was physically stressed. And then his thought life and what was going to happen.
- 23:12He took it to the Father and even asked the Father, listen,
- 23:15if I could go another route, can you just show me another way,
- 23:21a way out? And I'll do that, but not my will, Jesus
- 23:25said, yo will be done. Incredible God himself showing us that he has
- 23:30feelings. A lot of people don't think that God has feelings. A lot
- 23:33of people think that God doesn't care about us, but he does really care.
- 23:38As a matter of fact, I believe he's the only one that truly
- 23:41cares for us in a loving way, in a loving way and true love.
- 23:45Manuel Johnson, Good morning, God, bless you. Welcome to the
- 23:48morning Devo. Casting down every stronghold that wants to exalt itself against the knowledge
- 23:55of God. We do that, and we cast it down by the power
- 23:59of God in us and working through us. Yes, preach that word,
- 24:02because that's the word that will get us out of depression. That's the word
- 24:06that will get us through angry moments. Amen, that's the word that will
- 24:10get us through anxiety. That's the word that will get us out of the
- 24:12sinfle thought process that we might be facing right now today. Thank you so
- 24:18much for your comment. Amen. Amen, Amen, you are absolutely right
- 24:22a man the word of God. I'm on point. Let's boast a little
- 24:26bit about God. When you read his word. Amen, we are always
- 24:30right. When we read his word and apply his word, we are always
- 24:33right. But when I decide to go my own way, amen, and
- 24:37look at the scriptures and then still want to do something my way, Amen,
- 24:41I gotta get ready. Sin is crouching at the door, according to
- 24:45the scriptures, and Sin wants to master me. But no, I'm going
- 24:51to be a master over sin because I have broken free from the bondage of
- 24:56sin. Listen closely. A lot of people say, you always say you
- 24:59don't sin. I didn't ever say it on sin. I always say what
- 25:02the scripture says, that we are no longer bound to sin, just like
- 25:04we're no longer bound to the law right, to the law of Moses,
- 25:08the tank commandments, we're not bound to that, including the tithe because the
- 25:12tithes became a law. Amen. A lot of people strike that down.
- 25:17Every time I say this, say no, we still have to follow the
- 25:18law. Yeah, we have to follow the law and commandments. Jesus said
- 25:22a new commandment, I give you love God with everything you have, which
- 25:26is part of the original commandments. Right, and love your neighbor as you
- 25:29love yourself a man. On those Jesus says, on those two we complete
- 25:33it all. We complete it all, Amen, So we don't have to
- 25:37worry about the law. The law of God a man is still eternal,
- 25:45It's still there a member, we're not bound by the law, if that
- 25:48makes any sense. I want to really break that down one day a mem
- 25:51but it won't be on a morning deal. I don't think I'll do it
- 25:52on the morning devo. Maybe the law won't make me want me to do
- 25:56it on a morning devo. But it could definitely be a series of discussion,
- 26:00could have on my other shows. Amen, because a lot of people
- 26:03really think that they need to go by the tank commandments, and man,
- 26:07I don't think that's a winning battle, because if you break one, you
- 26:11broke them all. The Word says, So I'd rather go in Christ,
- 26:15Amen, follow the two commandments that he says that on those two all the
- 26:21other six hundred and thirteen commandments hinge on. Amen. In Christ, can
- 26:26I do that on my own? Absolutely not. I don't think you could
- 26:29do it on your own either, But in Christ we could do it.
- 26:32Amen. So Holy Spirit will guide us and guard us. Amen. And
- 26:36we have Ricky says, Holy Spirit activate. Yes. Amen. We have
- 26:40to activate what we know. Amen. And we have to tell people what
- 26:44we know. Don't be shy. Amen. I believe that the word of
- 26:48God when it comes to depression and when we see people in depression, suffering
- 26:52from it, or if it attacks us individually, I believe the word of
- 26:56God is the answer. That the word of God is the solution. God
- 27:00is the way out of depression and anger and all that that comes with it.
- 27:03Amen. So I believe that truly one hundred percent. And I believe
- 27:07the word of God stands up to any question that this world has for us.
- 27:11I believe the word of God is relevant and stands up to any situation
- 27:15in life a man, and it is true and it's relevant. We have
- 27:18the victory in Christ Jesus. Yes we do, man, well, yes
- 27:23we do, not by might nor power, but by His Spirit. Yes,
- 27:29that's something we need to know about So Genesis chatter four amount of time
- 27:33here, read the whole chapter three yourself get a better grasp. The question
- 27:37was, is it possible that sin is the cause of depression? Can Cain
- 27:45was depressed because of sin in his life, And that's an argument that stands
- 27:51up if you read Genesis chapter four. So be careful with sin. Sin
- 27:53has no benefit to us. A man separates us from our relationship with God
- 27:57and causes depression and everything else that tries to attack our mental I believe the
- 28:03core of that is sin. Amen, So thank you so much for hanging
- 28:07out with me. I hope this helped you. Amen. I'll continue to
- 28:10pray for you. If you're in a state of depression. Amen, continue
- 28:12to pray for me and my family. I'll continue to pray for you and
- 28:15your family. But let me send you with a blessing. God. Bless
- 28:18you, God keep you, and remember always that God is good. Peace.
