Healthy Michigan Plan Changes Starting Jan 1 | Lansing News

Starting January 1st, about 700,000 Michigan residents on the Healthy Michigan Plan will need to prove they’re working, volunteering, or studying 40 hours a month to keep their coverage—unless they’re exempt, like people with disabilities, seniors, pregnant women, new moms, Native Americans, or caregivers. Renewals are also shifting to every six months instead of annually.
