  I've

• 2:40
  I've

  learned
• 2:40
  that
• 2:40
  sometimes
• 2:41
  small

  gestures
• 2:43
  make
• 2:43
  the

  They

• 2:54
  Let's
• 2:55
  talk
• 2:55
  about
• 2:55
  redefining
• 2:56
  value
• 2:56
  here.
• 2:56
  Let's
• 2:57
  talk
• 2:57
  about
• 2:57
  three
• 2:57
  points
• 2:57
  to
• 2:58
  ponder
• 2:58
  about
• 2:59
  this
• 2:59
  passage
• 3:00
  that
• 3:00
  may
• 3:00
  be
• 3:01
  helpful
• 3:01
  to
• 3:01
  you.
• 3:02
  The
• 3:02
  first
• 3:02
  one
• 3:02
  is
• 3:02
  about
• 3:03
  redefining
• 3:03
  value.
• 3:05
  Jesus
• 3:05
  flips
• 3:05
  the
• 3:05
  script
• 3:06
  here
• 3:06
  about
• 3:06
  what
• 3:07
  giving
• 3:07
  more
• 3:08
  means.
• 3:09
  It's
• 3:09
  not
• 3:10
  just
• 3:10
  about
• 3:10
  the
• 3:10
  amount
• 3:11
  that
• 3:11
  you
• 3:11
  give.
• 3:11
  It's
• 3:12
  about
• 3:12
  the
• 3:12
  heart
• 3:13
  behind
• 3:14
  it.
• 3:15
  This
• 3:16
  reminds
• 3:16
  me
• 3:16
  of
• 3:16
  my
• 3:16
  three
• 3:17
  kids,
• 3:17
  watching
• 3:18
  my
• 3:18
  three
• 3:18
  kids
• 3:18
  grow
• 3:19
  up
• 3:19
  and
• 3:20
  some
• 3:20
  of
• 3:20
  the
• 3:20
  most
• 3:21
  special
• 3:21
  things
• 3:21
  I
• 3:21
  ever
• 3:21
  have
• 3:22
  for
• 3:22
  my
• 3:22
  kids
• 3:22
  and
• 3:22
  my
• 3:22
  grandkids
• 3:23
  are,
• 3:24
  you
• 3:24
  know,
• 3:24
  like
• 3:24
  the
• 3:24
  handmade
• 3:25
  cards
• 3:25
  and
• 3:26
  things
• 3:26
  they
• 3:26
  made
• 3:26
  and
• 3:27
  they
• 3:28
  gave
• 3:28
  to
• 3:28
  me
• 3:28
  from
• 3:29
  school
• 3:29
  or
• 3:30
  birthday
• 3:30
  things.
• 3:31
  I
• 3:31
  still
• 3:31
  have
• 3:32
  little
• 3:32
  trinkets
• 3:33
  that
• 3:33
  my
• 3:33
  kids
• 3:33
  made
• 3:34
  growing
• 3:34
  up
• 3:35
  and
• 3:36
  they
• 3:36
  meant
• 3:36
  more
• 3:36
  than
• 3:37
  any
• 3:37
  kind
• 3:37
  of
• 3:37
  expensive
• 3:38
  gift
• 3:38
  that
• 3:38
  they
• 3:38
  could
• 3:39
  give.
• 3:40
  It's
• 3:42
  those
• 3:42
  things
• 3:42
  that
• 3:43
  matter.
• 3:45
  It's
• 3:45
  about
• 3:45
  effort.
• 3:45
  It's
• 3:46
  about
• 3:46
  thought.
• 3:46
  It's
• 3:47
  about
• 3:47
  thoughtfulness.
• 3:49
  What
• 3:50
  is
• 3:50
  true
• 3:50
  value?
• 3:53
  There's
• 3:53
  also
• 3:54
  another
• 3:55
  point
• 3:55
  to
• 3:55
  ponder
• 3:55
  here.
• 3:56
  We
• 3:56
  might
• 3:56
  call
• 3:56
  the
• 3:56
  economics
• 3:57
  of
• 3:57
  enough
• 3:59
  the
• 3:59
  wealth
• 3:59
  they
• 4:00
  gave
• 4:00
  from
• 4:00
  excess,
• 4:02
  stuff
• 4:02
  that
• 4:02
  they
• 4:03
  would
• 4:03
  never
• 4:03
  miss.
• 4:06
  34
• 4:07
  years
• 4:07
  of
• 4:07
  marriage
• 4:08
  my
• 4:08
  wife
• 4:08
  and
• 4:08
  I
• 4:08
  have
• 4:08
  learned
• 4:09
  that
• 4:09
  true
• 4:09
  generosity
• 4:10
  often
• 4:10
  means
• 4:11
  stepping
• 4:11
  out
• 4:11
  of
• 4:11
  our
• 4:11
  comfort
• 4:12
  zone
• 4:13
  to
• 4:14
  do
• 4:14
  what
• 4:14
  is
• 4:14
  uncomfortable
• 4:15
  in
• 4:15
  serving
• 4:16
  others
• 4:16
  or
• 4:16
  serving
• 4:17
  one
• 4:17
  another.
• 4:19
  That's
• 4:19
  where
• 4:21
  true
• 4:21
  value
• 4:21
  comes
• 4:22
  into
• 4:22
  play.
• 4:23
  And
• 4:24
  and
• 4:24
  the
• 4:24
  widow's
• 4:25
  gift
• 4:25
  here
• 4:26
  challenges
• 4:26
  our
• 4:27
  modern
• 4:27
  obsession
• 4:28
  with
• 4:28
  accumulation
• 4:29
  and
• 4:30
  having
• 4:30
  enough
• 4:31
  before
• 4:31
  we
• 4:31
  can
• 4:32
  help
• 4:32
  others.
• 4:34
  Here's
• 4:34
  another
• 4:35
  point
• 4:35
  to
• 4:35
  ponder.
• 4:35
  It's
• 4:36
  about
• 4:36
  visibility
• 4:37
  and
• 4:37
  values.
• 4:39
  Jesus
• 4:40
  specifically
• 4:41
  sits
• 4:41
  and
• 4:41
  watches
• 4:41
  this
• 4:42
  scene
• 4:42
  unfold.
• 4:43
  He
• 4:44
  makes
• 4:44
  visible
• 4:44
  what
• 4:45
  others
• 4:45
  overlook
• 4:46
  and
• 4:47
  our
• 4:47
  progressive
• 4:47
  understanding.
• 4:48
  This
• 4:48
  isn't
• 4:48
  just
• 4:49
  about
• 4:49

• 4:49
  authority
• 4:50
  offerings.
• 4:50
  It's
• 4:50
  about
• 4:51
  seeing
• 4:51
  and
• 4:52
  valuing
• 4:52
  those
• 4:52
  whom
• 4:53
  society
• 4:53
  often
• 4:54
  renders
• 4:55
  invisible.
• 4:57
  Like
• 4:57
  when
• 4:57
  my
• 4:57
  wife
• 4:57
  and
• 4:57
  I
• 4:58
  hike
• 4:58
  in
• 4:58
  nature
• 4:58
  trails,
• 4:59
  we
• 4:59
  often
• 4:59
  notice
• 5:00
  sometimes
• 5:00
  flowers
• 5:01
  or
• 5:01
  small
• 5:02
  things
• 5:02
  or

  along

  you
• 5:07
  take
• 5:07
  the

• 5:08
  to
• 5:08
  really
