- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from kf I
- 0:04Speaker 1: am six forty.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and Anne, well, I can't see Ann. I
- 0:14Speaker 2: don't know where they hell she went there? Okay, oh
- 0:17Speaker 2: there you are? Hey, thank you. A.
- 0:21Speaker 1: You know, A.
- 0:22Speaker 2: You have a problem with your finger you're showing. Uh
- 0:25Speaker 2: is that a little wound you have there?
- 0:27Speaker 1: And now Handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen. Here's
- 0:32Speaker 1: Bill Handle.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Good morning everybody, Bill Handle. Here, my little one came up. Oh,
- 0:47Speaker 2: I have the beauty. I'm sorry about that. Yay. We
- 0:50Speaker 2: started right on time, so my little dog came up
- 0:52Speaker 2: said hello, and that's more important than anything. All right, Hello, Hello,
- 0:58Speaker 2: all right, Monday more November seventeenth's over right on top
- 1:03Speaker 2: of all right. We're right on top of Thanksgiving, so
- 1:08Speaker 2: that's too already. Cono says number one. Mute number two,
- 1:12Speaker 2: talk more into your mic. I had the mic in
- 1:14Speaker 2: the wrong place, Neil, How long have I been doing this?
- 1:17Speaker 3: I can tell you, sir, it doesn't show.
- 1:20Speaker 2: It does not show. I consistently win the most Professional
- 1:25Speaker 2: Broadcaster of the Year. We have a an award and
- 1:29Speaker 2: I usually win it.
- 1:31Speaker 3: And it's not like anything is new. No, you've been doing.
- 1:36Speaker 4: This since I became since I was an intern in
- 1:38Speaker 4: ninety four. I know, I know, it's really weird.
- 1:42Speaker 2: You know, when I run into people and typically I'll say,
- 1:45Speaker 2: they'll say, I don't know how you still have a job. Bag.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I don't know either.
- 1:50Speaker 3: I don't It's John Cobelt, I know, I know. All right?
- 1:57Speaker 2: Where was I?
- 1:58Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:58Speaker 2: I was at Monday, November seventeenth? Coming up again? It's
- 2:03Speaker 2: next Thursday? Right? Is it Thanksgiving or the following Thursday.
- 2:06Speaker 5: It's a week from this Thursday.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Yes, okay, I don't keep track. Fair enough, I've got
- 2:12Speaker 2: to yet to figure out what I'm gonna do for Thanksgiving?
- 2:16Speaker 2: No idea? Okay, And I'll be asking you guys as
- 2:19Speaker 2: we move along. All right, let me say hello to
- 2:22Speaker 2: one and all. Will I'm gonna start with you this morning.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Good morning, Bill, Good morning Bill. Yeah, no, I got it.
- 2:28Speaker 2: For some reason, you almost look like a clergyman in
- 2:30Speaker 2: that outfit. Maybe I'm missing something. I'm just it's kind
- 2:33Speaker 2: of a a zip up thing. Oh okay, got it? Yeah,
- 2:37Speaker 2: very okay, fair enough, anyway, work out. All of our
- 2:40Speaker 2: elevators here are broken, Bill, Oh you had to walk
- 2:43Speaker 2: up the stairs. How unusual elevator is broken, and noel
- 2:47Speaker 2: Ihart doesn't own the building, so they'll probably be repaired
- 2:49Speaker 2: fairly quickly.
- 2:52Speaker 5: Yeah, and then they didn't tell us how to get
- 2:54Speaker 5: up to the floor. There was an arrow and a
- 2:57Speaker 5: staircase to nowhere.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Fantastic.
- 3:01Speaker 5: It's a lot of fun.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Fantastic.
- 3:03Speaker 4: They've been out since this weekend. Yeah, we had to
- 3:06Speaker 4: cancel our guests and do it via phone. I wasn't
- 3:10Speaker 4: gonna have people bring food up four flights. Why not,
- 3:16Speaker 4: because I am connected to humanity and food for them.
- 3:21Speaker 2: You know, as long as you're getting food, I don't
- 3:24Speaker 2: care if they hike a mile and then four flights up.
- 3:29Speaker 2: So I don't understand all the elevators are out, yes, yes, yeah,
- 3:36Speaker 2: even the freight, all of them out. I don't get
- 3:40Speaker 2: that because the elevators are singular units, and so you
- 3:45Speaker 2: can you know, whenever we're elevators out in a building,
- 3:48Speaker 2: you no, no, no, in a building you I've been
- 3:51Speaker 2: We've been in this building for what I don't know,
- 3:52Speaker 2: twenty something years, and we've seen elevators with one out
- 3:55Speaker 2: in other buildings. There's one. This is not in service.
- 3:58Speaker 5: It's the key cards. So to get up to certain floors.
- 4:02Speaker 5: You have to have a key card that gives you access,
- 4:04Speaker 5: because I was able to get in the elevator in
- 4:06Speaker 5: the main bank, but once you got in, you couldn't
- 4:09Speaker 5: get the key card to open up. And the same
- 4:11Speaker 5: thing happened with the freight elevator. You couldn't.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Okay, all right, so is that mechanism? Okay, that makes sense.
- 4:16Speaker 2: That resonates anyway, Good morning Amy, Hi, Hi. And then
- 4:20Speaker 2: there's the lovely Cono. Good morning Cono. Hey, thanks for that.
- 4:24Speaker 2: And last and possibly least it's Anne. Good morning Anne,
- 4:31Speaker 2: shaking her head to her, what do you mean? Last
- 4:36Speaker 2: and possibly least, Yeah, but I didn't say she was least,
- 4:40Speaker 2: but possibly well yeah, okay, but we're all possibly leased.
- 4:46Speaker 2: And next is Bill Handle, possibly a man. Possibly depends
- 4:52Speaker 2: on what it depends on what stage of the surgery
- 4:55Speaker 2: we're at.
- 4:57Speaker 4: You owe Ann a vacation, Hey, send her somewhere nice.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Don't you have a couple of villas or something? I
- 5:03Speaker 4: don't know, Yeah, I have a couple of villas.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know what your you know based on
- 5:08Speaker 2: but based on what you say on the air, people
- 5:10Speaker 2: think I'm insanely wealthy, and that is completely nuts.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Compared to us.
- 5:16Speaker 2: You are, well, everybody's wealthy compared to you. I mean
- 5:19Speaker 2: you're nots iHeart. Please give me a break. You know,
- 5:23Speaker 2: the guy working at McDonald's who now makes twenty bucks
- 5:25Speaker 2: an hour makes more than most of the people working
- 5:27Speaker 2: here at iHeart. Are they hiring iHeart or McDonald's.
- 5:32Speaker 4: McDonald's, You know, I don't know if they are or not,
- 5:34Speaker 4: because man, i'd get in management like this.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know if fast food restaurants are still hiring.
- 5:41Speaker 2: I used to. I don't go to fast food restaurants
- 5:43Speaker 2: very often, so you know, you'd see a sign in
- 5:46Speaker 2: every fast food establishment now hiring, and you would know this,
- 5:50Speaker 2: are fast food restaurants hiring as much as they used to?
- 5:53Speaker 2: Or is employment level seven? I have interviews ready to go. Well,
- 5:58Speaker 2: that's very funny.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Okay, Oh, it's funny. It's funny that you think she's joking.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I know it's absolutely true. All right, what's going
- 6:07Speaker 2: on there? Oh? We got a lot to cover today.
- 6:09Speaker 2: First of all, I started watching the Chargers game. Gotta
- 6:12Speaker 2: get into football. Boy, didn't they do well over the weekend? Wow?
- 6:19Speaker 2: And they were favored to win, weren't they? Yeah? I
- 6:23Speaker 2: think so yeah, didn't have didn't have a good day?
- 6:25Speaker 2: All right? Rams did? Okay? Rams won beat the Seahawks.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Oh okay, So that's enough of football. Okay, We're done
- 6:32Speaker 2: with sports. Talking on, moving on, We've got some We've
- 6:37Speaker 2: got some news with the president. Did he change his
- 6:39Speaker 2: mind twice or three times over the weekend? Certainly on
- 6:44Speaker 2: just twice? And now we got the Epstein the Epstein files.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Now he is in favor of releasing the Epstein files.
- 6:51Speaker 2: But I have a question they ask I'm gonna talk
- 6:53Speaker 2: about it a little bit later on before we start.
- 6:55Speaker 2: I handle on the news is he has asked the
- 6:59Speaker 2: Republicans to to now vote in favor of releasing the
- 7:03Speaker 2: Epstein files. What am I missing here? He can make
- 7:07Speaker 2: one phone call to Pam Bondy this morning at ten
- 7:11Speaker 2: o'clock and the files released by three o'clock. What am
- 7:17Speaker 2: I missing here in saying.
- 7:21Speaker 3: The theatrics of vote on this.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't quite get it. I really don't. And
- 7:28Speaker 2: then I'll talk more about this a little bit later on,
- 7:30Speaker 2: because I think the line has been crossed when it
- 7:34Speaker 2: comes to pedophiles, to not releasing information about pedophiles and
- 7:40Speaker 2: major players involved in Jeff Epstein. That's where the line
- 7:45Speaker 2: is drawing. You know, the President is saying, oh, no,
- 7:47Speaker 2: it's a hoax, It's a Democrat hoax, while you have
- 7:52Speaker 2: these survivors that are showing their pictures of what they
- 7:56Speaker 2: look like when they were traffic by Jeff free Epstein
- 8:02Speaker 2: and raped as minors, and the President saying it's a hoax.
- 8:06Speaker 2: As a hoax that is not flying, That ain't flying.
- 8:11Speaker 2: So we'll talk about the politics of that. What do
- 8:13Speaker 2: you think Bill Clinton's doing today sweating bullets?
- 8:19Speaker 4: Uh?
- 8:19Speaker 2: You know what, I don't think. I think what I
- 8:21Speaker 2: don't believe that any of these major players were involved
- 8:26Speaker 2: in the actual sex or molestation of the girls. I
- 8:29Speaker 2: think they're just a lot closer to Epstein, and some
- 8:32Speaker 2: of them may have known what was going on.
- 8:35Speaker 4: That tells you something A listener sent that I thought
- 8:38Speaker 4: was interesting, and that was that didn't Donald Trump at
- 8:41Speaker 4: one point own like Miss teen USA or something and
- 8:47Speaker 4: make some comment about one of the perks is being
- 8:50Speaker 4: able to walk into the dressing room at any times.
- 8:53Speaker 2: I don't know, No, Miss Tenuous, I know he had
- 8:55Speaker 2: Miss I don't know.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Somebody I didn't fact check it, but somebody did mention
- 8:59Speaker 4: that I thought I'd throw it out into the mix.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Okay, let's do it handle on the news with Amy
- 9:06Speaker 2: Neil and me lead story, Jeff. Jeff is exactly what
- 9:11Speaker 2: I was talking about. So I'm gonna, obviously at seven
- 9:14Speaker 2: o'clock dive a little bit deeper into that. So let's
- 9:18Speaker 2: go on to story number.
- 9:19Speaker 5: Two, turning down the temperature. Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Green,
- 9:27Speaker 5: so she's going to stop using toxic rhetoric. Her comments
- 9:32Speaker 5: came on CNN during an interview with Dana Bash after
- 9:36Speaker 5: her say split with President Trump went to a new
- 9:41Speaker 5: level because Trump then has attacked her and called her
- 9:45Speaker 5: Marjorie Trader Green, and she says she's worried that Trump's
- 9:49Speaker 5: rhetoric toward her could lead to violence. She says she's
- 9:51Speaker 5: received some death threats.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Yeah, of course. And this goes to the point that
- 9:55Speaker 2: I've been making for a very long time. If you
- 9:59Speaker 2: say anything against Donald Trump, you are a trader to
- 10:02Speaker 2: the United States and the Constitution. That is scary stuff,
- 10:06Speaker 2: that really is. And how many people, how many MAGA
- 10:09Speaker 2: followers believe that she truly is a trader to the
- 10:14Speaker 2: United States Simply by disagreeing with President Trump.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Do you think she's on limit? Though now I change.
- 10:21Speaker 2: I think that in certain cases the line was crossed
- 10:24Speaker 2: as far as she's concerned, that is insurance under Obamacare,
- 10:30Speaker 2: that is these Epstein files also the issue of he
- 10:36Speaker 2: is far more concerned with foreign affairs than with domestic affairs,
- 10:41Speaker 2: that he cares a little about the actual people of
- 10:45Speaker 2: the United States, arguing, for example, prices are actually down,
- 10:50Speaker 2: and those who say prices are up it's part of
- 10:53Speaker 2: a democratic hoax. As people are spending more money at
- 10:57Speaker 2: the Czech stand and he is saying, you're not and
- 11:00Speaker 2: need more money at the zechstand because prices are down.
- 11:04Speaker 2: And if you say anything against that, you are part
- 11:07Speaker 2: of this democratic hoax. And I got to tell you,
- 11:10Speaker 2: it's getting a little frazzle, to say the least with
- 11:14Speaker 2: the president. And so she's split and instead of the
- 11:19Speaker 2: President saying, you know, I have you know, we have differences.
- 11:23Speaker 2: People who are on the same team can think differently. Right,
- 11:28Speaker 2: that's not this president no way. She is a trader.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Let me ask you something. If he had the power,
- 11:35Speaker 2: do you think he would arrest her for treason and
- 11:38Speaker 2: being a trader to this country?
- 11:40Speaker 3: Yes?
- 11:41Speaker 4: I think he's absurd. There's things that he does that
- 11:45Speaker 4: surprised the hell out of me.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, And he's changed his mind because the
- 11:49Speaker 2: political pressure was so overwhelming on this Epstein file. It's
- 11:55Speaker 2: just it's crazy.
- 11:55Speaker 3: The flight restriction.
- 11:57Speaker 4: Matter of fact, it would have happened what twenty four
- 11:59Speaker 4: minutes ago or something.
- 12:00Speaker 5: Like that three am our time, Yes, oh, six am Eastern.
- 12:04Speaker 3: So that's done.
- 12:06Speaker 4: That means all the flights will resume operations as normal.
- 12:10Speaker 4: And they announced this yesterday. So that emergency order that
- 12:14Speaker 4: has been shifting everything and causing all kinds of problems
- 12:17Speaker 4: has now gone done. So those cuts which started with
- 12:22Speaker 4: that four percent reduction you remember in flights forty major
- 12:25Speaker 4: airports on November seventh, all that stuff is rolled back
- 12:29Speaker 4: in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, which is great news.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Yeah, now we just go back to your normal shortage
- 12:35Speaker 2: of air traffic controllers.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Yeah, that's unfortunate.
- 12:38Speaker 5: Yes, George has arrived. Oh nope, it's not George. It's Gerald,
- 12:47Speaker 5: the nation's most advanced aircraft carrier has arrived in the Caribbean.
- 12:52Speaker 5: The USS Gerald R Ford and some other warships are
- 12:57Speaker 5: now in the waters as they conduct military strikes against
- 13:02Speaker 5: boats that are suspected of transporting drugs. The Trump administration
- 13:06Speaker 5: insists this is a counter drug operation, but it's being
- 13:10Speaker 5: seen as an escalating pressure tactic against Venezuela's president, Nicholas Maduro.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Yeah, don't you find it interesting that they're attacking these boats.
- 13:19Speaker 2: I think they've attacked twenty of them, and it takes
- 13:22Speaker 2: an aircraft carrier task force. Do you know how much
- 13:26Speaker 2: money it costs to move an aircraft because it's not
- 13:29Speaker 2: you an aircraft carrier. It's not just the gerald Ford.
- 13:32Speaker 2: There's a dozen ships that go with it, including submarines,
- 13:37Speaker 2: and so it's clearly more than just these very fast boats.
- 13:43Speaker 2: And by the way, they all are drug smuggling boats.
- 13:46Speaker 2: I mean, there's no question about it. The only issue
- 13:48Speaker 2: is what do you need to do this? And so
- 13:51Speaker 2: you've got the Maduro situation and it's going to be
- 13:54Speaker 2: a regime change, probably not. And it's cocaine, by the way,
- 13:58Speaker 2: that's flying from that part of the world. It's not
- 14:01Speaker 2: the fentanyl that's killing everybody.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Look at you defending cocaine.
- 14:07Speaker 2: I am. I love all that.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Law school, get right.
- 14:12Speaker 2: I spit. I spent a lot of years in joining cocaine.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Hey, Bill Handle's buddy Donald Trump party partying more January
- 14:22Speaker 4: sixth writers. So back at that, if you remember back
- 14:26Speaker 4: twenty twenty one, the riots there at the US Capitol.
- 14:30Speaker 4: President issued pardons for Suzanne ellen K who served eighteen
- 14:34Speaker 4: months for threatening to shoot FBI agents.
- 14:37Speaker 3: That that can't be good.
- 14:39Speaker 4: And this was all during that investigation into her involvement
- 14:42Speaker 4: into the riots. And she posted she had videos that
- 14:46Speaker 4: were titled f the FBI and but with the whole
- 14:49Speaker 4: word and all that stuff, she'd shoot your f ing
- 14:52Speaker 4: a and blah blah blah.
- 14:55Speaker 3: So she's she's pardon. That's great.
- 14:58Speaker 4: And then Daniel Win Wilson, who remained in prison despite
- 15:03Speaker 4: Trump's pardons, that we kept seeing a bunch of the
- 15:07Speaker 4: January sixth writers, and it was due to an unlawful
- 15:10Speaker 4: firearms possession conviction.
- 15:12Speaker 2: So yeah, the only pardoned people that were related to
- 15:17Speaker 2: January six In other words, the crime had to be
- 15:20Speaker 2: a January six violation.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Now that he basically broadened it to firearms, illegal firearms
- 15:29Speaker 4: and threatening the FBI.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know why he just issues a general
- 15:33Speaker 2: pardon for anybody who has backed him up across the board.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Any prisoner in the United States who has been in
- 15:41Speaker 2: favor of President Trump is hereby officially pardoned.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Well, god forbid, But if I got arrested, I'm going
- 15:48Speaker 4: to be the biggest Trump supporter.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Oh you bet, you, you bet?
- 15:52Speaker 5: You could OJ finally pay, maybe his estate will. State
- 16:00Speaker 5: of the late OJ Simpson has officially accepted a multimillion
- 16:05Speaker 5: dollar claim from Fred Goldman, of course, Ron Goldman's dad,
- 16:08Speaker 5: thirty one years after the family won a wrongful death
- 16:13Speaker 5: suit against Simpson. The amount is almost fifty eight million dollars.
- 16:19Speaker 5: The state's executor says it plans to pay out as
- 16:23Speaker 5: much of the amount as possible as they continue to
- 16:25Speaker 5: auction off items. They had this judgment thirty one years
- 16:28Speaker 5: ago and they've seen no money.
- 16:30Speaker 2: No money, So now they're going to get some money.
- 16:33Speaker 2: How much you think this memorabilia is worth? What a
- 16:40Speaker 2: million dollars? Maybe not even it wouldn't even be close.
- 16:43Speaker 2: So all the state has said, okay, we'll sell this
- 16:48Speaker 2: stuff and give it to you. I'm surprised there's still
- 16:51Speaker 2: a memorabilia in the estate.
- 16:53Speaker 4: They should sell the bloody knife and the bloody gloves
- 16:56Speaker 4: and a bloody Bruno Malli's or whatever.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think they have those because I know
- 17:03Speaker 2: the he I know the Heisman Trophy was taken and
- 17:06Speaker 2: that's been sold off. I believe now was probably the
- 17:10Speaker 2: biggest one. So I don't know how much they have.
- 17:13Speaker 4: All Right, the US is about to become a sausage fest,
- 17:16Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying, No one, Okay, More American
- 17:22Speaker 4: women say that they are ready to move out and
- 17:26Speaker 4: want to move out of the United States permanently in
- 17:28Speaker 4: twenty twenty five. This is more than any time in
- 17:34Speaker 4: the past two decades. So it's primarily with younger women.
- 17:37Speaker 4: You're looking at fifteen to forty four say they would
- 17:40Speaker 4: leave the United States permanently if they could. That's four
- 17:45Speaker 4: times what it was in twenty fourteen, when ten percent
- 17:51Speaker 4: of women and girls who wanted to leave the country
- 17:54Speaker 4: was generally in line kind of with the average gender
- 17:56Speaker 4: and everything like that.
- 17:57Speaker 2: So yeah, I'll do more of that at seven twenty. Obviously,
- 18:01Speaker 2: there are a lot of pieces on this one, and
- 18:03Speaker 2: its political for the most part.
- 18:04Speaker 5: All right, Moving on, Trump blocked in court again. Federal
- 18:09Speaker 5: judge has blocked the administration from in imposing a one
- 18:14Speaker 5: point two billion dollar fine against UCLA along with stipulations
- 18:19Speaker 5: for deep campus changes in exchange for being eligible for
- 18:22Speaker 5: federal grants. The decision a major win for universities that
- 18:27Speaker 5: have been trying to resist President Trump's pressure to discipline
- 18:32Speaker 5: what he calls very bad universities. He says those universities
- 18:36Speaker 5: have mistreated Jewish students, forcing the schools to pay those
- 18:39Speaker 5: huge fines and agree to adhere to more conservative policies.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's right about that. I mean, the universities
- 18:48Speaker 2: are very left wing and they are pro palaced Indian.
- 18:51Speaker 2: One point two billion dollars maybe a little tough, because
- 18:55Speaker 2: that makes no sense. There's no connection in terms of
- 18:59Speaker 2: one point two billion dollars in the wrongdoing. And it
- 19:03Speaker 2: is just another way that the President and the conservatives
- 19:09Speaker 2: are saying, we will take over the universities. Uh, that's
- 19:12Speaker 2: it's that simple. And how do they do this with
- 19:14Speaker 2: federal funding of programs research? Medical research? It's pretty scary stuff,
- 19:20Speaker 2: it really is.
- 19:22Speaker 5: And they're trying to take over the university.
- 19:24Speaker 2: I think they're trying to take over the curriculum. I
- 19:27Speaker 2: think they're trying to say, we will tell you what
- 19:31Speaker 2: you cannot teach.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Wow, do you think do you think that's scary that
- 19:35Speaker 4: a school would only have one political view.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I I do, I do, I do. That's scary.
- 19:42Speaker 2: And I'm not, by the way, I am not arguing
- 19:45Speaker 2: that changes have to be made, and there were, and
- 19:48Speaker 2: the government can uh, you know, there are internal pressures
- 19:52Speaker 2: that can be done. One point two billion dollars is
- 19:54Speaker 2: kind of an insane fine. I mean, that's just uh,
- 19:58Speaker 2: that's just way over in. And then the other and
- 20:01Speaker 2: then the and then the other part is cutting off
- 20:03Speaker 2: medical research, which has nothing to do with politics. Medical
- 20:09Speaker 2: research has to do with cancer, research has to do
- 20:13Speaker 2: with diseases, has to do with just you know, making
- 20:17Speaker 2: a life better for Americans and curing problems and syndromes,
- 20:22Speaker 2: and it's it doesn't make any sense. Now it's going
- 20:25Speaker 2: to go up to the courts. Do I think the
- 20:27Speaker 2: court is going to allow the president to do this? Yes,
- 20:31Speaker 2: the president. I think the court is going to say
- 20:33Speaker 2: the president has unfettered power and can stop federal funding
- 20:39Speaker 2: for any reason he wants. Yeah, that's that's the scary part.
- 20:44Speaker 2: I mean, there is I think there are other ways
- 20:47Speaker 2: of doing it, but yeah, in the end, yes, I
- 20:50Speaker 2: agree with him. There has been a lot of anti
- 20:53Speaker 2: Semitism and this pro Palestinian I mean when I went
- 20:56Speaker 2: to school, this crazy left wing stuff, and that was
- 20:58Speaker 2: way back when.
- 21:01Speaker 4: All right back to the UCS, this time UC nurses.
- 21:05Speaker 4: They were planning that labor strike University of California nurses.
- 21:10Speaker 4: I think we talked about this a little bit last week,
- 21:13Speaker 4: but it has been called off. The university system and
- 21:17Speaker 4: the nurses union in this particular case reached a deal
- 21:20Speaker 4: at least a tentative one at this point on pay.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Benefits were in there. It's the usual stuff that we
- 21:28Speaker 4: hear about in both groups announced just yesterday that they
- 21:31Speaker 4: were going to move forward in good faith on this.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Hey, is anybody surprised that there's twenty five thousand registered
- 21:39Speaker 2: nurses working for the UC system.
- 21:41Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a lot.
- 21:43Speaker 2: I had no idea the numbers were that big. But anyway,
- 21:47Speaker 2: they have agreed a deal has been reached.
- 21:52Speaker 5: Not just universities seeing anti semitism. In three separate rulings,
- 21:58Speaker 5: the California Department of Education, also known as the Department
- 22:02Speaker 5: of Education, has determined that the Oakland School District created
- 22:06Speaker 5: a discriminatory environment against Jewish students and staff that goes
- 22:10Speaker 5: against what the district found an attorney, Marlene Sachs, has
- 22:14Speaker 5: represented Jewish families in the district. She said there are
- 22:18Speaker 5: anti Israel discussions, assemblies, pro Palestinian posters, maps hanging in
- 22:22Speaker 5: teachers classrooms and district hallways and school hallways and administrative offices.
- 22:27Speaker 5: There are certain schools where it is a wash in
- 22:29Speaker 5: pro Palestinian propaganda, which is not appropriate. She says, the
- 22:34Speaker 5: district is a hostile environment for Jews and Israelis.
- 22:38Speaker 2: I don't doubt that that's happening. Now. The question is
- 22:41Speaker 2: how recent is this? Because if you're looking at an
- 22:47Speaker 2: influx of this kind of thinking and the way these
- 22:53Speaker 2: people are acting as a result of what Israel has
- 22:57Speaker 2: done to Gaza during the war against Hamas, and Israel
- 23:02Speaker 2: has committed war crimes, there's no question in my mind.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Sixty nine thousand people killed and what Israel has done
- 23:09Speaker 2: with human with humanitarian aid and stopped it cold. Now
- 23:14Speaker 2: did this happen before all of this the Israeli war?
- 23:19Speaker 2: I think that's a difference, and frankly I believe it.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Elkland is very very liberal, and very very liberal usually
- 23:28Speaker 2: means propalaesin an anti Israel, not so much anti Jewish,
- 23:33Speaker 2: but anti Israel, and that is where it conflates, because
- 23:38Speaker 2: if you're pro Zionist, you're automatically Jewish and the two
- 23:43Speaker 2: cannot be separated. Except there are plenty of Jews that
- 23:46Speaker 2: are against what Israel has done, including me in terms
- 23:50Speaker 2: of the humanitarian aid and the indiscriminated killing. And I
- 23:54Speaker 2: believe that.
- 23:56Speaker 4: How come everybody's anti fascist unless they're brown. You've got
- 24:02Speaker 4: terrorists running these gaza that are absolute fascists in every
- 24:07Speaker 4: single way to.
- 24:08Speaker 2: The they're our eye terrorists and fascist. Yeah, but it's like, uh,
- 24:15Speaker 2: I don't know, it's bizarre. Yeah, but you know, the
- 24:17Speaker 2: issue is the humanitarian aid. How do you let people starve? Literally,
- 24:22Speaker 2: how do you get an entire people starve? That's the problem. Uh.
- 24:27Speaker 2: And there have been too many atrocities that have occurred,
- 24:32Speaker 2: although the Israelis are saying we have no choice. If
- 24:35Speaker 2: you have terrorists that are embedded in the population and
- 24:40Speaker 2: you have control centers, command and control centers that are
- 24:44Speaker 2: underneath hospitals, what do you do. It's a little more complicated,
- 24:48Speaker 2: but yes, Oakland Unified. It's a question of time. I
- 24:52Speaker 2: don't know how long they've been doing this.
- 24:54Speaker 4: So more gambling and sports probes, massive investigation and unfolding
- 25:01Speaker 4: in the NBA. You've got staff members from multiple teams,
- 25:05Speaker 4: not just one team. But it does include the Lakers
- 25:09Speaker 4: now being asked to turn over their cell phones and
- 25:12Speaker 4: different property that they have, So I guess this would
- 25:16Speaker 4: be part of the actual investigation to see what's been
- 25:20Speaker 4: done on the phones and things like that. So you
- 25:23Speaker 4: had a bunch of staffers across the league that were
- 25:25Speaker 4: contacted after federal prosecutor prosecutors rather revealed new details in
- 25:32Speaker 4: the criminal case from last month involving alleged illegal betting
- 25:38Speaker 4: schemes tied to insider injury information things like that.
- 25:43Speaker 2: So yeah, I find it weird. There's two issues here
- 25:47Speaker 2: that I'll understand. I Number one, the story about a
- 25:50Speaker 2: couple of ballplayers who make millions of dollars involved in
- 25:56Speaker 2: throwing games that I don't get. And if you're going
- 25:59Speaker 2: to do something like this, why would you put it
- 26:01Speaker 2: in text form? Because texts are retrievable, where if you're
- 26:07Speaker 2: just having a conversation over the phone, it is not people.
- 26:10Speaker 4: Are lazy, but you could track. You could track the
- 26:14Speaker 4: fact that they called somebody and the times of the
- 26:17Speaker 4: calls and things like that.
- 26:19Speaker 5: Okay, caught up in Charlotte's web. Federal Border Patrol agents
- 26:27Speaker 5: have detained eighty one people across Charlotte, North Carolina. It
- 26:32Speaker 5: happened on Saturday, the first day of an operation that's
- 26:36Speaker 5: already drying criticism over aggressive tactics. The Border Patrol agents
- 26:40Speaker 5: fanned out across immigrant neighborhoods on Saturday, and then get
- 26:44Speaker 5: did it again on Sunday, prompting a lot of businesses
- 26:48Speaker 5: that cater to immigrants to close down. A flea market
- 26:51Speaker 5: didn't open, Catholic churches were unusually empty on Sunday, and
- 26:55Speaker 5: nightclubs in the city that play reggaetone music on Saturday
- 26:59Speaker 5: nights decided not to open either.
- 27:01Speaker 2: And the majority of people that are being arrested are
- 27:05Speaker 2: not criminals, have not been charged, much less not been convicted.
- 27:11Speaker 2: So the worst of the worst, well, yeah, there are
- 27:14Speaker 2: some of the worst of the worst, but there are
- 27:16Speaker 2: a lot of people being swept up, and it is
- 27:20Speaker 2: it's heartbreaking for a lot of families, and I think
- 27:22Speaker 2: most Americans think that the government has gone too far
- 27:25Speaker 2: in terms of the tactics.
- 27:27Speaker 4: You wish they would have just worked it out with
- 27:30Speaker 4: law and local law enforcement to find out you know
- 27:34Speaker 4: who the bad ones are statistic communication, but.
- 27:38Speaker 5: They can't do that because law enforcement isn't allowed to
- 27:42Speaker 5: work with ice.
- 27:42Speaker 2: In my exact Yes, okay, that's true, so you do
- 27:48Speaker 2: with just the sweep of everybody. On the other hand,
- 27:51Speaker 2: if you're not going after the bad ones, you're not
- 27:53Speaker 2: arresting anybody. But it's a question of the tactics too.
- 27:57Speaker 2: It's a question of how aggressive you can arrest people
- 27:59Speaker 2: without pulling them out of cars. Although I don't know
- 28:01Speaker 2: how often that happens.
- 28:04Speaker 3: I've seen murderers treated way better.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, And I told you the story about a
- 28:09Speaker 2: dawn when Jeanette came in the way he was treated
- 28:13Speaker 2: by isis it's just unconscionable. Oh my god, Well, this
- 28:18Speaker 2: is all plug your ears bill. It's not true.
- 28:21Speaker 4: We plug your ears, buddy. I'm sorry, it's in there.
- 28:25Speaker 4: Uh so. Suit claims Costco's Kirkland tequila's are not only
- 28:32Speaker 4: mixed with low grade booze. Some tests found that some
- 28:36Speaker 4: of the Kirkland brand tequilas were so adulterated they didn't
- 28:41Speaker 4: even qualify as tequila under Mexic law.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Isn't that totally surprising?
- 28:48Speaker 3: Aren't you.
- 28:49Speaker 2: It is surprising because how fanatic Costco is for uh
- 28:55Speaker 2: for quality.
- 28:56Speaker 5: Here, Kirkland brands are usually.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Very yes, are insane. So it looks like Smarten Final
- 29:03Speaker 2: is going to be my new choice.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Huh okay, so kind of crazy butt Okay.
- 29:13Speaker 2: That's nuts. I think we're done, by the way, we
- 29:16Speaker 2: are completely finished. All right. This is KFI Am six.
