- 0:01Assalamu Alaika, ABBA Abdullah, Mullah Rahman, Raheem Assalamu
- 0:04Alaikum and welcome back to another episode on the Aftermath
- 0:08Red Podcast. It is the 20th of Safar.
- 0:11Ourselves alongside hundreds of millions of Muslims all around
- 0:14the world are marking the 40th of Imam Al Hussain, the arbahein
- 0:18of Imam Al Hussain. And it goes without saying, we
- 0:20send our condolences to the Imam of our time.
- 0:22Imam Al Sahab Al Asri was the man me Allah hastened is
- 0:25reappearance. And to all our listeners and
- 0:27viewers from all over the world, our hearts are heavy and we are
- 0:32recording this episodes not too far away from the 20th of Safar.
- 0:36And I do want to say there is a possibility that the alphabet
- 0:39team may be blessed to be in the holy lands of Karbala and
- 0:43inshallah we can do what we did similar to last year and perhaps
- 0:47take it a step further in propagating the message of our
- 0:50behind to the world and the masses Inshallah.
- 0:52But that is something that we ask Allah to give us the topic
- 0:55for. And before I speak more about
- 0:58Arbaeen and what Arbaeen means to us and what's the
- 1:00significance of Arbaeen, there is something we want to share
- 1:04about after Madrab and perhaps we'll save it towards the end of
- 1:07this episode. But we can't have this.
- 1:08I can't have this conversation alone.
- 1:10I have to have it with my amazing beautiful Co hosts and
- 1:13my Hosseini brothers brother Muhammad Ali Assalamu Alaikum.
- 1:29And of course, Brother Ahmed Goku Salaam, alaikum Salaam.
- 1:34It's good to be in the presence of both my Hussein, your
- 1:38brothers. Yeah, it's, it's, yeah, it's
- 1:42heavy time. Of course, time flies to paddle
- 1:46life. I think every year we think how
- 1:49has it been 40 days since Ashura and we think about the journey
- 1:53we've been on emotionally and spiritually from the beginning
- 1:57of Muharram, of course, up until now, the 20th of Safa.
- 2:00And we reflect on all of our personal reflections.
- 2:03But I think something which is overarching and far more
- 2:06important than ourselves as of course, the Imam of our time and
- 2:09paying tribute to his grandfather, Mum Hussein, who
- 2:11was martyred on the plains of Karbala.
- 2:14So there's a lot to talk about today and inshallah, I know we
- 2:19have some important news for everyone at home, a lot of
- 2:22updates from after Margaret, but a lot of of key and important
- 2:25things to to to let you guys know about.
- 2:28But inshallah, we're going to do that probably towards the end of
- 2:30the episode. So yeah.
- 2:32Inshallah and you know you, you I, I otherwise you mentioned
- 2:36about what Arbaai means to you. You know, for me, it's like the
- 2:39month of Muharram especially, you know, the first leading to
- 2:42the phantom Muharram. It's like emotional.
- 2:44It's more you, you build your relationship in your connection
- 2:47and you're left with Abdullah in terms of grief and Aza and
- 2:50stuff, right? But when it comes to like
- 2:51Urbain, it's more like a Pledge of Allegiance.
- 2:53It's like we are here to answer your call.
- 2:56How do you feel like when it comes to the 40?
- 2:57Yeah, 100%. I think I've only been blessed
- 3:01to be in Karbala for one Arvain in my life, so I I can vividly
- 3:07remember that experience. That's how do I.
- 3:10Think back to it was maybe like 2-3 years ago, not not long ago.
- 3:17But yeah, I remember that experience really vividly.
- 3:21It was amazing to me, like to be able to see it for the first
- 3:24time. And I envy anyone that is going
- 3:25for the first time. I, I mean, I don't know how it
- 3:29will. Maybe it will be the same on the
- 3:31second experience, maybe it'll be even better.
- 3:33I, I don't know that yet, but yeah, I definitely envy anyone
- 3:37going for the first time because you see things that you never
- 3:40thought you would see in your life.
- 3:41Like, you know, the, the level of pain and the level of
- 3:45dedication of the people of Iraq, of Najaf and Karbala and
- 3:50the amount of service that goes into Al Bahin.
- 3:55I think it just shows you how many people are are are are
- 3:59patiently waiting and trying to show their allegiance to the
- 4:02Imam of their time. Yeah, and it's an amazing, you
- 4:04know, this headmere and this service and this not just that,
- 4:07it goes beyond that. It's like unity and brotherhood.
- 4:10And it's like you're all there for one reason.
- 4:12And you know, I can imagine. I remember we had, I think a
- 4:16previous guest at Season 2, if I'm not mistaken, and he
- 4:21mentioned, you know, like when it comes to Irvine and you can
- 4:25see all these lovers flocking towards the shrines of Imam and
- 4:28Hussein Abaf Al Abbas. It's like we're answering the
- 4:31call of Imam Sahab. Lastly was Zaman.
- 4:33It's like we're here, like the Shia, we're waiting.
- 4:35But maybe that's a deeper conversation.
- 4:37But I, I do want to say, you know, you mentioned you envy
- 4:39those people who go for the first time.
- 4:41And inshallah we have this opportunity to go this year,
- 4:43next year and every year and shallah until the grave.
- 4:46But it makes you really think that when you don't have that
- 4:48blessing, when you don't have the opportunity and you do get
- 4:51it. Yeah.
- 4:52There are hundreds of millions of other people who are yearning
- 4:54to go, but we're not given that Tofiq to go.
- 4:57Yeah, Is it? Do you think it's like a Tofiq
- 4:59think? Yeah, there is a calling.
- 5:01I think there's there's different layers to it.
- 5:03So one is talking about Ziad Arbayin in terms of the heritage
- 5:07of it, the the what we see from Mamasada Qadeh Salaam, when when
- 5:11we actually read the Ziyarat and on, on Yamala Arbaeen and
- 5:15talking about the, the day of the 40th being a historically
- 5:18significant day. And then of course, in a
- 5:20contemporary sense, we talk about the Najaft Karabala walk,
- 5:23talk about the Bassart Karabala walk, all of these different
- 5:25things people do in terms of their hidmen, their hosting and
- 5:29their accommodation and whatnot for people coming from around
- 5:31the world to visit Imam Hussein. So I think what we'll do
- 5:35hopefully is talk about the significance of it from a
- 5:39historical and a religious level and also from a contemporary
- 5:42level. And I think a good place to
- 5:44start is to understand, is there any origin, especially in our
- 5:50hadith, in our history, when it comes to the 40th day after the
- 5:53Battle of Ashura? Why the 40th?
- 5:54Is it because there's something special that happens on the
- 5:5640th? Did something take place?
- 5:59Was it on the plains of Kabbalah or elsewhere?
- 6:02So yeah, if you guys can maybe enlighten me and anyone else at
- 6:04home. Yeah.
- 6:06I mean there are obviously there are reports in the classical
- 6:10Macartel that mentioned that say the Zainab Ali Saddam and Imam
- 6:15Zainab Abaddeen Ali Saddam, the Sajjad, they returned from the
- 6:20like from the from being prisoners of Sham on the 40th
- 6:24day to Karbala to do the the first Yara of Imabad Hussein.
- 6:30And obviously that coincided with the coming of Jaber and
- 6:33Abdullahi as well. And that walk towards Karbala or
- 6:38that journey towards Karbala that is kind of signified in the
- 6:42nudge of the Karbala walk is basically repeating what say the
- 6:47Zainab. But you know, I'm saying Imam
- 6:48was in Aberdeen would have done going towards the Sierra of Imam
- 6:52Hussain for the first time. And that's what we're basically
- 6:56reviving exactly. So that is the origin obviously
- 6:59of the of the Ziara. And also there's the merits of
- 7:01the Ziara of, of Arbaeen. We have the famous narration of
- 7:04Amal Askari, 5 signs of the Shia.
- 7:06One of them is Ziath Arbain. Of course, Ziath Arbain in that
- 7:11narration obviously would be encompassing of the people that
- 7:14do this yard of the cover of Imam Hussein, but also
- 7:17encompassing of the individuals that are able aren't able to go
- 7:21to Karbala and would recite this yard on the day of.
- 7:24What about the the the hadith from the I'm, I think Imam Salah
- 7:28al Islam says that the one who travels to the highest peak, if
- 7:31you're not there and able to do the Zyada itself in the physical
- 7:34sense, go to the highest peak and perform your Zyada.
- 7:37Yeah. Is that?
- 7:38Is that a? Real.
- 7:39Yeah, there are narrations like that.
- 7:40The Zyada of Mamad Hussein Ali Salam, for example, it says to
- 7:43go to a balcony or the highest point that you're able to on
- 7:47your roof, for example, and send your salams from your from the
- 7:50roof and inshallah, you're salaam's basically with Shaman
- 7:52Hussain. Another really important thing
- 7:54that happened to Alaban as well, and something that's mentioned
- 7:57in narrations is that the day of the returning of the heads of
- 8:00the Shahada. And that's something that's
- 8:03that's really like significant about the day of Alaban, like
- 8:09bahubait, I'm slammed. I believe they call it Yom
- 8:11Marado Ross, right? The day that the the heads were
- 8:15brought back and this, this is significant because obviously
- 8:19that it reminds you of not only obviously the day of Arbaeen is
- 8:24the the 40th day, but the mossaib is still ongoing.
- 8:27The mossaib is still ongoing. Exactly.
- 8:30The mossaib is still ongoing till this point where the heads
- 8:33are still removed from their bodies.
- 8:35These are are heads that still need to be buried, right?
- 8:40And yeah, this is a very, very important day in the, in the, in
- 8:43the hadith, in the reports, especially when you're looking
- 8:46at the heads of, for example, you, you look at the head of
- 8:49Imam Hussein Ali Saddam. Obviously it's mentioned in the
- 8:53reports that Imam Zan Abadi Ali Saddam did the burial of Imam
- 8:56Hussein on the 13th of Muharram. But also there are the reports
- 9:02that say that they brought back the head of Imam Hussein, the
- 9:04head of Imam Hussein. How holy, how blessed, how
- 9:08sacred is that day that his head is joined with, with his body.
- 9:12You know, this is the same head that you know, it grew on the on
- 9:17the chest of Iman. This is what is Yarad say, you
- 9:20know, Salaam on the on Imam Hussein who who suckled the from
- 9:25the bosom of Iman, right? This is the same head that
- 9:28Rasulullah kissed. This is the same head that was
- 9:31on the thigh of Ambir Mummanin alongside the Imam Al Hassan.
- 9:34Like this is this is that head, right?
- 9:36So this is a very, very significant day for all of this
- 9:39Shia and it's a day of sadness. And you know, the, the, The
- 9:43thing is as well that, and I think this is important to bring
- 9:45up. Obviously, you mentioned, you
- 9:47know, in the contemporary times, we're speaking about the walk to
- 9:49Najaf from Najaf to Karbala. I think with all the amazing
- 9:53things and all the amazing service that is, is given to the
- 9:57Zawar of about Abdullah Hussein, I think a lot of people have
- 10:02have begun to forget this, this the the immense amount of
- 10:06sadness that is originally associated with this thing.
- 10:10It, it, it, it becomes almost a like, even if we look at a
- 10:14Loftmiat, for example, and it's, it's, it's reflected in all of
- 10:17the culture of Azhar. Like when you look at the
- 10:19Loftmiat of Albaeen, they've become less about the Masahib
- 10:24and more about the service of Imam Hussein and praising the
- 10:30service of Imam Hussein. So you can see like there's a.
- 10:33There's a shift. Here there's a bit of a shift in
- 10:36the in the focus of people on this day, and I think it's very,
- 10:39very important that we remember that this is a day of immense
- 10:42sadness and grief and go back to those original roots of
- 10:45remembering to be completely. Saying where law of poetry has
- 10:49just become romantic. Yeah, it couldn't just it could
- 10:52be like talk time, literally your wife if you wanted.
- 10:55Or yeah, exactly. Yeah, some of the poetry that
- 10:57comes out now, you're very right.
- 10:58And I think there was one I said recently, this very famous Iraqi
- 11:02Latimer that when I think viral on social media, one of the
- 11:05reciters, he was reciting something like you'd say it's
- 11:08Romeo and Juliet. You know, I don't want to take
- 11:10you to that extent, but if you just change the name from
- 11:12Hossein to, I don't know, a different name is like it's just
- 11:16love poetry. Not talking about the grief of
- 11:18the massage, but emphasising on the tragedy itself, but more
- 11:21about, you know, feelings of love and everything.
- 11:24But it was too much and it wasn't the the norm.
- 11:26We normally is what's acceptable.
- 11:29I think within society. They say society changes, but I
- 11:32think we should never change our core principles and values.
- 11:36I do want to add one thing as well, Muhammad, if I can like
- 11:38just on the significance of the ZR of Imam Hussein.
- 11:41It's not just limited to the urban period, right?
- 11:44Yeah. And you can go and Zur your
- 11:46master Imam and Hussein about Abdullah Salamullah Ali any day
- 11:50of the year, right? And we have significant weathers
- 11:5215 Shabana things like this. But in general, the Ziara it's
- 11:56it's it's it's it's something that holds immense reward in the
- 12:00eyes of a loss of like we come across a hadith by Imam Sadiq al
- 12:04Islam. A man once came up came to him
- 12:08after completing his hygiene. He goes to the Imam.
- 12:10He goes, oh Imam, I've just completed my 19th Haj and the
- 12:13Imams and the Imam was a response to him.
- 12:15He said if you completed one more Haj would have equal the
- 12:18Ziara of Imam Hussain Ali and Salaam.
- 12:20So you can see like the the the reward and the station, the
- 12:25mukam that the Ziara has in eyes of Allah even as far as you know
- 12:29the Imam Assad that he says peace be upon the one who visits
- 12:35Imam and Hussain and places his cheeks on the grave of Imam.
- 12:39Peace be upon the cheeks and the face that gets hand in the sun
- 12:43or those walking towards the Ziara of Imam Hussein.
- 12:45There's a lot of a way out about angels and the angels who guard
- 12:49the zawad of a man 40. 1000 angels or three with you.
- 12:52Yeah, yeah, there's a the angels who angels travel with.
- 12:55You when you leave your home until you're with.
- 12:57You and angels who stay with you until the end of your life,
- 12:59angels who circumambulate the Thadiya of a Mohammed, Hussein,
- 13:03Ali Salat or Saddam. And of course the the ultimately
- 13:08the, the station of, of the Zawad in the hereafter is
- 13:11elevated. Yeah, because you're then seen
- 13:12as someone who's performed as yada.
- 13:14In all of human history, a small number of Shia have been able to
- 13:17perform, I say this year in, year out.
- 13:19I don't know if you remember saying every year I say like
- 13:21you, you think about the last thirteen, 1400 years, what
- 13:24percentage of Shia across this course of space and time have
- 13:28been able to perform the ziad of Imam Hussain Ali Salaam?
- 13:32Minimal, right? Because there must have been
- 13:33hundreds of millions of shares over the course of history and
- 13:37only a smaller fraction of that number has been able to perform
- 13:40the CR. And to be able to do that now in
- 13:42this day and age where you, we live thousands of miles away and
- 13:45we're still able to go and on top of that have comfort and
- 13:48services. Amazing.
- 13:49But one thing I think a lot of us do when we come to the, the
- 13:53time of Adebayan is we'll hear, we'll hear lectures, we'll feel
- 13:56sad, maybe not as sad as we do in the 1st 10 nights tomorrow,
- 13:59which is something in itself as a discussion.
- 14:01We'll, we'll listen to a lot of Latami art.
- 14:04What's the latest track? What's the latest thing?
- 14:06We'll watch Instagram Stories, for example, of people who are
- 14:09going, we'll watch them or walk here.
- 14:10We'll watch the, you know, what's the latest updates?
- 14:13Our friends are flying, our families are flying, so on and
- 14:15so forth. We treat it as a social thing,
- 14:19which has obviously its benefits.
- 14:20And I'm not going to downgrade that at all because that's
- 14:22incredible. We cannot dismiss that.
- 14:24Of course, we don't maybe give us a much as much attention as
- 14:27we should to the actual Ziyada itself.
- 14:30The Ziyada Imam Salah gave us Ali Salaam and of course, the
- 14:33merits of the the Ziyada, the also the construction of the
- 14:37Ziyada itself. The Ziyada itself is really
- 14:39beautiful, like the introduction, sending the Salaam
- 14:42al Imam Hussein and talking about his his merits and his his
- 14:47goals, talks about his genealogy and then it talks about his
- 14:50progeny. Then it talks about Osaluddin
- 14:53and quartets of theology and it reaffirms your faith.
- 14:56It it it. What's the word I'm looking for
- 15:01disunites? Is that the one I'm looking for
- 15:03from the enemies of the Ahlabat al Islam, You know,
- 15:06disassociates from the enemies of the Ahlabat al Islam.
- 15:09And, and these are things which I think are so important for us
- 15:11because we say that Adabain is a time where we like stamp our
- 15:15allegiance. We've tried, we've tried for the
- 15:17last 40 days, 50 days to do our best.
- 15:20And now we are at the core, the peak of that emotion.
- 15:24It's brewed within us. How far have we come?
- 15:27And that ziyada itself, that recitation of the ziyada should
- 15:30be like that, that that filter, that litmus test for us to
- 15:34understand, like, have we actually benefited?
- 15:36Have we learned, Have we processed, have we acknowledged
- 15:38where we've come from? And and what Imam Hussein has
- 15:43Ali Salaam has done for us. I want to echo as well what what
- 15:46you were saying about the hadith to do with the ziyada of Imam
- 15:50Hussein Ali Salaam. It's very, very important that
- 15:53we all look at these hadith. We actually get familiar with
- 15:56these hadith like books like Kamala Zarat, for example.
- 15:58Kamala Zarat has many, many narrations with regards to the
- 16:02father of the Zarat. I'm saying these are things that
- 16:04everybody, every Shi'i should be familiar with to the extent that
- 16:07you mentioned, for example, with regards to the reward of, of, of
- 16:11it being equal to, for example, 20 Hajj.
- 16:15Obviously you have the other reports that are 100 Hajj, 100
- 16:17Umrah that are Mahbola. But it also goes to the extent
- 16:22to say that the Imams Ali Musalam Imam al baqar Ali Salaam
- 16:26says Murushi atina be zihara to Pabrel Hussein, right?
- 16:30He says order our Shihara to go towards Zihara Bam Hussein.
- 16:33Just that no, he says for inner Zihara to who Muftaravon Allah
- 16:38Kuli movement. Compulsory.
- 16:41And in other narrations they say for inner Zihar to Wajiba, to
- 16:44Allah Kuli movement like this is the extent they're speaking
- 16:48about obligation. That are why out of course the
- 16:50scholars, they have a discussion, was this to do with
- 16:53a specific time frame during the time of Banu Abbas where they
- 16:56were holding the Shia back from the Ziara and the Imam was
- 16:59making an obligation so that the Ziara of Imam Hussein didn't
- 17:02stop, right? That's a different discussion.
- 17:04But this is the importance of Ziara of Mohammed Hussein that
- 17:08even in that specific time period for it to have been made
- 17:11obligation on the Shia. That shows you the significance
- 17:15of the Ziara, how life changing it is, how significant it is in
- 17:18your Islam and your relationship with Allah Subhana to others.
- 17:21The Ziara of Mohammed Hussain it can't be compared with with any
- 17:25other visitation. So.
- 17:26You know these these hadith are very very important.
- 17:29If you look at Kamala Ziara to this book is a book written by
- 17:33Ibn Holloway. Some of our scholars, they used
- 17:37to they they consider it so authentic.
- 17:39This book every hadith within this book, they consider it so
- 17:43authentic because even pull away in his introduction, he says
- 17:46that I've only brought the rewired from the trustworthy
- 17:51narrators. Some of the some of the Olama.
- 17:53What they say is that what he means by that is his Messiah,
- 17:57which is just the first person in the chain, right.
- 18:00And not necessarily the whole chain, but other scholars have
- 18:03said the entire chain. Yeah, and all of hadith in
- 18:06Kamala ziharats are authentic. According to these scholars.
- 18:09These are books that are all to do with the Mohammad Hussein in
- 18:12Muharram, if not in Muharram during the time of Al Baeen and
- 18:16even till even now, we still have until Farhat Zaharat.
- 18:20These are books, and they're not even that big.
- 18:22Yeah. They're not even.
- 18:23It's not even that much this. Episode 2 years ago with
- 18:25Muhammad Sadeel. Why?
- 18:26We went through Kamala Ziharat and we just pick gems from it.
- 18:31Yeah, we'll say he did. Yeah.
- 18:33Yeah. And it was such a beautiful
- 18:34episode. Yeah, honestly, Hamlazi or Art
- 18:36is a beautiful book and we should all be familiar with it.
- 18:40It's in English. It's not.
- 18:41There's no like, you know, there's no barriers or boundary.
- 18:43And there's reports in there, if I'm not mistaken, Hamid, where
- 18:46it mentions, for example, the NBR visit, the great Sahel.
- 18:49It was even a a very famous story.
- 18:51I think we've all learned also where.
- 18:52Yeah, I was going to there where one of the Shia of Aliabata
- 18:58Rasulallah went to visit and then someone stopped him from
- 19:01visiting. And then he tried to go again
- 19:03and the person stopped him again.
- 19:05He told them why he's stopping me.
- 19:06I'm trying to visit before the sun, before the sun rises.
- 19:08Let me at least do my before my ziara.
- 19:10He said I'm an Angel, son, by Allah, and I can't let you in.
- 19:13Maybe Musa Ali, Salam zoom ziara of Imam and Hussein Ali.
- 19:16Like look at the the makam, the status.
- 19:18And, you know, speaking about makam and status, we say muzarah
- 19:21Hussein Araf and pikadra azar Allahfi.
- 19:24Yeah. Sorry.
- 19:25Araf and Bhaktar for the one who visits Imam and Hussein knowing
- 19:30his Macomb, his status, his stationed a lot as if though
- 19:34he's visiting the throne of Allah.
- 19:35Wow, that's the heavy one. I think of that.
- 19:38I don't think we can. We take people take it lightly
- 19:40like you mentioned. That's a minimal.
- 19:42Ticker. Yeah, man.
- 19:43Yeah, it's in the same families. You mentioned people very
- 19:46minimal from the let's say the Shia population go to visit like
- 19:50if they if they immense themselves in these in the world
- 19:53of hadith incarn maziar, if they understand the status and the
- 19:57macam and the. Blessings, that's where the
- 19:59rewards, that's where the because all of these hadith,
- 20:03when they talk about the reward and they talk about the
- 20:04significance, there's always that clause Arif and be happy.
- 20:08Yeah, now Arif and be happy like, you know, someone may
- 20:11think, you know, I've understood the the status of Imam Hussein,
- 20:14that is something that's infinite, that goes on and on
- 20:17and on. Yeah.
- 20:18Now your reward will be in. In proportion with how Arif, I'm
- 20:25happy who you are, right. So that's where it shows you
- 20:29actually that the Ziara is, is a is a transformative process only
- 20:33if you have marifa of the Imam, right?
- 20:36That's the only way that you can get something out of it.
- 20:38And and Imam Hussein's marifa is is boundless, right?
- 20:42So the only way you and, and This is why we see in the
- 20:45narration, sometimes a companion comes, he says to Imam, what's
- 20:48the reward of Ziara of Al Hussein?
- 20:50He'll say 1 Haj. Right.
- 20:52Maybe obviously we don't know the intentions of the Imam, but
- 20:55the Imam, he's speaking to different people when he's
- 20:58saying these different rewards, he's saying 1 hatch, 10 hatch,
- 21:00100 hatch to someone, 1000 Hajj and Omraha to someone else,
- 21:04right? So obviously the Imam, he's
- 21:06speaking to, an individual knowing of his marathon, knowing
- 21:09of how much this person is understanding of the Makam of
- 21:13Mahasain and Imam we. Did Jamaat Knights I think
- 21:16episode 2 or 3 was on Haj versus Yah we say verses but it was in
- 21:21essence understanding a comparison and what what the
- 21:24hadith say. Let's move on to the
- 21:25contemporary. About the Ziara.
- 21:28Can I add one thing I learned about the Ziara just before we
- 21:30move on the conversation? Yeah.
- 21:32You know, if Allah soprano wata, Allah says you live for 70
- 21:35years. OK, so let's say God grants us
- 21:3770 years in this life before we go to the hereafter.
- 21:41When you go on Ziara, even if God has counted you that you
- 21:45live 70 years from the moment you leave your home until the
- 21:48moment you return home, whether it's a week, a month or two, you
- 21:52spend that and the intention of going Ziara, that doesn't count
- 21:54from your life. Wow.
- 21:56Like it, it's mad like the the things you learn when it comes
- 22:00to the Ziara of Muhammad Hussein, all you can say is
- 22:03thank you Allah for instilling the love of Imam Hussein because
- 22:07bro, it transforms you. It allows you to grow spruce.
- 22:10And not just that, they say, you know, we have the narrations,
- 22:13the reports that say if God loves his servants, he instills
- 22:16in his heart, he places the love of his heart, and not just his
- 22:19love, the love of his Ziara. You know, I was talking to a
- 22:22work colleague work at work today, Ben shout out Ben, who's
- 22:26probably listening. Me and Ben were talking about
- 22:29the what we love about our community.
- 22:32And we both, we came to a conclusion that generally
- 22:35speaking, even at times of discord and disunity and
- 22:38whatnot, when there's tension online or wherever on WhatsApp
- 22:41and God knows, even at times like that, we're still more
- 22:45united than other Muvaheb because we have something in
- 22:49common with each other. We stand beside each other, we
- 22:51do Hazar Habil Hussain accent. We, we are united.
- 22:57That too bro. That's to say yeah, yeah.
- 23:00And it brings us together and it we fall crazy in love with
- 23:03Abdullah Al Eslatul Salam. And we don't see that anywhere
- 23:07more than in Arabahin and Arak. Now, Alhamdulillah, between us,
- 23:12we've had the opportunity to go each a few times or at least
- 23:14once each. And I've been twice, you've been
- 23:17once, you've been Marshall, I think a few times, I'm not
- 23:19mistaken. And we've had inshallah.
- 23:21Hopefully you guys will get the opportunity to be there together
- 23:23this year by the time this comes up.
- 23:24But for those who are unaware of how beautiful this Ziara is,
- 23:32never underestimated. Each tier that is shed, there is
- 23:38a declaration. Each step that you take towards
- 23:40Karbala is a rebellion in the midst of worldwide oppression
- 23:45and absolute tyranny and injustice.
- 23:48Nothing is needed more in this world than the art of Arbaeen.
- 23:54Where else in the world do you see 20,000,025 million people
- 23:57flock towards a rural city in southern war-torn Iraq?
- 24:01Where you see the disabled and the amputated crawling,
- 24:05gathering strength, shouting the name of Hossein, crawling on the
- 24:08floor towards him? Where else do you see children
- 24:10with tears in their eyes handing out water?
- 24:13Where else do you see 2300 meals distribute free of charge?
- 24:172 billion cups of water given out free of charge.
- 24:21People's thirst is quenched, their stomachs are satiated,
- 24:25they're able to actually fill their stomachs and also fill
- 24:28their souls in terms of love and spirituality and dedication and
- 24:33devotion. This is what albine means to us.
- 24:36So when we know people and I'd say we've all been on this
- 24:38journey, that's absolutely transformed who we are as
- 24:41individuals. It's transformed our our
- 24:43relationship with our last panel to Allah.
- 24:45All of it is Kurabat and Illallah, our near, our near.
- 24:49And our intention is to get closer to our last panel to
- 24:51Allah. And this has been something
- 24:53transformative for all of us in different ways, shapes and
- 24:56forms. I want to ask you guys when you
- 24:59think about this week because look, we're seeing, everyone's
- 25:02been seeing on the last few days on social media, their friends
- 25:04have gone, their families gone. They're seeing on social media,
- 25:06people are walking the Mashiah, the Malwakib.
- 25:09What? What comes to your mind?
- 25:12What 3 words? Let me do this here, say it.
- 25:15I'll start with you. What 3 words come to your mind
- 25:18when you think of the whole spectacle of Zyat Arbain and the
- 25:23walk and the performance of the pilgrimage?
- 25:27I'd say love, sacrifice, beautiful because you see all
- 25:33those three 24/7, whether it's 1:00 AM in the morning or
- 25:38whether it's 10:00 PM at night. It's like a never.
- 25:41It's like this. It continues like it has no end
- 25:44to it. And the moment you land, the
- 25:46moment you arrive during the arpan period until the moment
- 25:49you go back home, if you love, you see the sacrifice and you
- 25:54see true service, not service because someone's getting
- 25:57something in return. No fee.
- 25:58Sibel Allah, for the love of ABBA Abdullah Hussain.
- 26:00And we're talking about if I can mention a story when I, when I
- 26:03went, I think 3 or 4 years ago, when the Ziara group and we left
- 26:07Baghdad airport and we landed just after federal time.
- 26:11So we wanted to pray federal before we we reach Najaf, Najaf
- 26:15Vashrav. So we stopped, we saw a mokib.
- 26:18The bus driver stopped and he spoke to the owner of the mokib.
- 26:21He said ABS Zuwar with me. Can they pray in your mokib?
- 26:23He said yeah, of course, 100%. He turned on the light, he moves
- 26:27the was the blue nylon barrier like he starts sweeping laid on
- 26:32the prayer mats and Shekhar you blood to Salah.
- 26:34We all prayed behind them. As soon as we finished, brother,
- 26:37we saw a whole group of youth, I'm talking about 11 years old,
- 26:4212 years old, making tea, preparing breakfast.
- 26:46And they're like, OK, like now you've prayed, now it's time for
- 26:50you to come rest and eat before you head off and continue like,
- 26:52no, we'll have breakfast in the hotel because no, no, no, no.
- 26:55The moment you landed in Arab, where you sleep, where you eat,
- 26:59where you rest, that's our responsibility.
- 27:02And bro, that gave us some tears and that moved me, man, that one
- 27:08lot that I'm like, we're chilling in London, everyone
- 27:11doing their best to serve. No, no, no.
- 27:13Come to our behind and see something out of this world.
- 27:19Out of this world sent. To a guy at work, Yeah.
- 27:22Palestinian guy. Bizarre.
- 27:23And he goes, why are you guys going to Al Afghani?
- 27:26Suddenly it's not Harlem anymore.
- 27:28Yeah, yeah, my dad's. I'm OK and they're giving out
- 27:31food. So I shot him videos.
- 27:33And he was so confused. He's like, why are you making
- 27:37all this food? Like that Doesn't make sense to
- 27:38him. Yeah, is.
- 27:39That who's paying for it? Does Alaska pay for it?
- 27:41Does the government pay for it? I'm like, no, we pay for it out
- 27:43of our pocket. And he this is this is the love
- 27:45we have for 1%. It doesn't make in his head.
- 27:48It wasn't. It wasn't like.
- 27:49Registering, Oh well, this is this is something people can't
- 27:52comprehend. You mentioned meals.
- 27:54How much do you spend as like maybe each each family spends
- 27:5610,020 thousand? Minimum, minimum, minimum.
- 27:59He's like, bro, but that's money.
- 28:00You could buy it for a car. I'm like, yeah, but we don't
- 28:02want to buy it. This is This is our.
- 28:04Love and you know what's beautiful about this?
- 28:05Like you mentioned 22300 meals happening throughout this
- 28:08period. It's not government backed.
- 28:11There isn't like an industry behind this trying to serve
- 28:14something. No, no, no, This is, oh, this is
- 28:16backed by a lot. Let me just put into quantify.
- 28:19Yeah, at least do what, 25 million people say they're there
- 28:22for a week each. Yeah.
- 28:24For example, you're having three meals a day.
- 28:26So if you've got 25 times 375,000,000 meals a day, yeah,
- 28:31they're there for a week each, We probably talk over half a
- 28:33billion meals. Theoretically that people are
- 28:36eating half a billion, right. Each meal, theoretically, let's
- 28:40say it costs two, 3 lbs or dollars to generate, serve,
- 28:44create, whatever. You're talking about people
- 28:47funding billions of dollars from their own pocket.
- 28:49Iraqis talking about people who live in Iraq.
- 28:52Yeah, one of the poorest countries on earth who are
- 28:55putting their own pocket money together to serve people from
- 28:58around the world to come to visit Imam Hussein.
- 29:00And there's a lot of Salaam, I mean.
- 29:01There's one charity in Alab called Esabe.
- 29:04You can donate to them here for an absent charity.
- 29:07I think just water they they hand out about 20 million
- 29:10bottles of water. Unbelievable.
- 29:12And it's it's. Like and that's just one
- 29:14organization. That's one organization.
- 29:16They go to all the warehouses in Alab and each warehouse like
- 29:18donates. Like one guy will donate 300,000
- 29:21bottles, one guy will donate 100,000.
- 29:23You know all the warehouses, they'll collect a total of like
- 29:2510 million bottles. That's insane.
- 29:28You can't, you can't, you can't, bro.
- 29:30There's never a a time or a place where you ever feel hungry
- 29:33or or thirsty. You wouldn't ever have a places.
- 29:36But I remember the first time on Ardabhai in when we were driving
- 29:39back after the day of Ardabhai in myself and say to Hassan, but
- 29:43we got in a taxi and this guy told me it was quite sad.
- 29:47That was quite emotional. He's like, we saved the whole
- 29:50year round. He's like like the whole year,
- 29:53my family business, he goes, I'm a taxi driver, he goes I've
- 29:56saved everything for Arbaeen so we can have a mole CIB.
- 30:00They did their mole CIB when we and he obviously quoted us to
- 30:02get from Karbala to Najaf and whatever and by the time we got
- 30:06there, he said no the whole trip.
- 30:07You can't pay for it. We know how it is Mujah milat
- 30:09and you're back and forth. But he said no, this is my
- 30:11headmath to you. You guys was a wild from the
- 30:13West. I'm not going to allow you to
- 30:15pay me anything. These things put things you know
- 30:17this is the peak of human potential.
- 30:19The pinnacle of human ability is witnessed there.
- 30:22Like what level can a human being reach?
- 30:25Yeah. What is the Sunnah of the Holy
- 30:28Prophet? You see that the akhlaq of those
- 30:30that Sunnah in? I really think so.
- 30:34Dude. So dude.
- 30:35Honestly, like I, I felt exactly the same.
- 30:37Like when I was going, I started walking from the harem of Amir
- 30:41Mumini and I think it was my my first time.
- 30:43So I was like, I didn't start from pole one.
- 30:45I thought, you know what, God gotta do it from Father.
- 30:48To shrine. To Shrine.
- 30:49Shrine to shrine. So I've started walking and
- 30:51obviously you know why this Salaam is actually a lot bigger.
- 30:54Than yes, yes. Of course, right.
- 30:56So they they have these poles, like these fake poles.
- 31:00Yeah. And they think you, it makes you
- 31:01think that you're, you're making progress, right?
- 31:03But even in this road, like already there's so many Malachi
- 31:07that you actually think you've started the walk.
- 31:09Even before I got to pole one, people had invited me into the
- 31:13houses. People are asking me, come here,
- 31:16pray. People are telling me, come
- 31:18here, eat. I remember actually, so there
- 31:22was this kid that I will never forget him actually.
- 31:24And it wasn't, it was it was a small thing that that happened,
- 31:28but it, it stayed with me like throughout my Ziara and even
- 31:32when I came back here and what it was was he stopped me to, to
- 31:37eat and I'd just eaten, right. So I wasn't I, I wasn't like
- 31:40hungry or anything. So he's actually come, come eat.
- 31:43We've made fresh kebab, Zissa and I'm like now, honestly, I've
- 31:46just eaten. Thank you so much, Ahmad, all
- 31:48the all this. And he's like, no, he's like
- 31:50he's holding on to me and I'm like, honestly, Habibi, I'm,
- 31:53I'm, I've eaten. Thank you so much this.
- 31:56And then what? Like to to kind of like, you
- 31:59know, like kind of let him know politely that I'm I'm going to
- 32:04keep walking. I've gone to kiss his forehead,
- 32:06right And he's refused and he's and now he's fighting to kiss my
- 32:11forehead, right? And he's telling me there's no
- 32:13way. Yeah.
- 32:14And this is the kid. This is like 11 years old.
- 32:16Ten years, 10 years old kid. He's like there's no way you're
- 32:19going to kiss my forehead. You're desire of a mammal,
- 32:21Hussein. I'm going to kiss yours to me in
- 32:25a 10 year old. The clock the the level of a
- 32:31clock Conservatory to Imammal Hussein that has been put in
- 32:34that kids mind. That was something magical.
- 32:37To me, you know, Subhanallah, you know, just like it's like
- 32:39the love and the headman and the sacrifice you give.
- 32:42It's not just for those who are, let's say young men or, you
- 32:45know, in the 20s of no, from children.
- 32:48I remember just to add to your story of children.
- 32:50Yeah. I mean, this, this, this was I
- 32:52think my first out of mind. I went with Shabab.
- 32:55So I'm, I'm, I think I'm talking about over 10 years ago.
- 32:59By the way, we went with a group of I think 30 Shabab from
- 33:02Rasulullah bomb and we went Ziara, we walked from Najaf to
- 33:05Karbala al Hamdullah. And during the journey we came
- 33:08across a young boy, Ahmed I I still remember how he looks like
- 33:12short hair. He he was like not in the best
- 33:15of clothes. He was very bossy to say Bossata
- 33:17like humble, probably a villager from somewhere like that's,
- 33:22that's that's how he looked like, right.
- 33:24And he had the orange bin with him.
- 33:26I still remember an orange bin and he's walking around picking
- 33:29up rubbish, putting it inside his and, and the orange bin.
- 33:33Remember we started, I was, I think I was with Hassan no up
- 33:36and we told them how he be like what you're doing.
- 33:38It's too young. I I, I still remember.
- 33:41Where's your mum was your dad? He was like, she knows Mama was
- 33:43my dad. I'm cleaning the streets.
- 33:45Like, why clean the streets? He goes.
- 33:47This is the only thing I can do to serve Imam and Hussein is by
- 33:50clearing the pathway for a Zoar. And the guy was six years old.
- 33:55Like, look at the mentality that the children have.
- 34:00I imagine like when when bro that's not for someone who
- 34:03hasn't been Ziara. You need to go, especially
- 34:06during the arbine periods. I think what's also very
- 34:09important is to recognise the importance of going again and
- 34:12again, right? Because obviously for me I I've
- 34:15only been. Why is that?
- 34:16Do you mind if I ask? Is it to renew or is it to just
- 34:20gain a new experience? I think what it is and I think
- 34:23it what it is, is that from what I understand, there's a, there's
- 34:26a hadith of the Imam Ali Salaam. There's a, there's a lady that
- 34:30comes to the Imam and the Imam asks her, I believe it's Imam al
- 34:33Bafar or Imam Sada. He says to her, do you do the
- 34:37Ziyar of Mama Hussein? And she said, yes, I do.
- 34:41Now the natural response here would be the Imam to say that's
- 34:44very nice, that's very good, you know, and but no, he doesn't
- 34:49even respond in that way. He says go towards the Ziyar of
- 34:52Mama Hussein, still go towards Ziyar of Mama Hussein, continue
- 34:55going to the woods Ziyar. So the Imam is giving that that
- 34:58impression that look, there's y'all of Mohammed Hussein is not
- 35:02like when we say, like, for example, Hajj, for example, Hajj
- 35:05is a spiritual experience that everybody kind of thinks in
- 35:09their mind as something that I'm going to go once in my life.
- 35:12Maybe it's important to to go again and again.
- 35:15But generally speaking, that's the mentality that we have,
- 35:17right? That's the tick box.
- 35:18I have to go at least once in my life.
- 35:21Does y'all of Mohammed Hussein, when we look at in the hadith of
- 35:24the Imams, I am Salaam, the imams are again and again
- 35:28they're, they're repeating to say go again and and again and
- 35:31again, especially for the people that are in Iraq.
- 35:34Yeah, right. So the people that live near the
- 35:36the, the Karbala, their mom's telling them go again and again.
- 35:40In some of the reports, I I believe mentioned for one person
- 35:45to go every year and another person it said go every three
- 35:48months. Yeah.
- 35:50So there are levels of responsibilities that we have.
- 35:52And I think that the repetition of it, I think it it, it's like
- 35:58Muharram it. Keeps you in check man.
- 35:59It keeps you in check. It's like Muharram, like, you
- 36:01know? That rule Compass.
- 36:02That time of the year where you are completely focused, I think
- 36:06for all Shia, that's that time. And Albaeen and the Zara
- 36:09Muhammad Hussein, I think just amplifies that feeling of coming
- 36:13back to your roots, coming back to the light that you were made
- 36:16from. Yeah, we're looking at the light
- 36:20of Imam and Hussein, Ali, Saddam.
- 36:21Like that's the, that's why we all gravitate towards it, right?
- 36:25Because that's our origin. It's beautiful and you know
- 36:27what, I think this is something and maybe look for those who
- 36:30have done this yard and obviously, inshallah, there's a
- 36:32releasing around the time of Aruba in day.
- 36:34If you're listening to this and you're in Karbala or you've
- 36:37finished yours yard and you've gone back to Niger for Samudar,
- 36:39wherever you are, Please remember asking your daughter
- 36:42and inshallah your yours yard is accepted.
- 36:44And for those who are listening to this from far from home,
- 36:47wherever you are around the world, make the near from now to
- 36:51go inshallah next year. Book your time off from work,
- 36:54you know for next year. I booked last year when I came
- 36:57back, the first thing I did was book my time off for this year
- 37:00and at the time I'm recording, I have no plans to go so or I'm
- 37:04not able to go. But Subhanallah, it's amazing
- 37:06because you know, at least there's like even though whether
- 37:10you can or you can't go, you know that you had the near to
- 37:13go. You know that you had the
- 37:15intention to go. And even then you know if the
- 37:18opportunity arises, then you won't run into issues.
- 37:20Make that book it off a year in advance at least, you know, for
- 37:23those who are listening from home now and you're thinking,
- 37:26you know, you've got the FOMO, you know, and you want to go
- 37:28next year, book your time off from now.
- 37:30Start saving up from now. Save 5050, seventy, £100 a
- 37:34month, whatever you can, inshallah.
- 37:35Work the extra shifts, work the extra hours, put that money
- 37:38aside and then within 7-8 months you'll have enough.
- 37:41Enough money maybe to go or save enough up, enough days at work.
- 37:45To go so that's that's. It's really important, really,
- 37:47really important. It's achievable.
- 37:48Like let's be real, as yard is expensive.
- 37:50Depends where you're going from, different parts of the world.
- 37:52If you're going from North America, you're talking two,
- 37:53$3000 from the UK, maybe one or $2000.
- 37:57But generally speaking, it's achievable, right?
- 38:00We have opportunities, we have groups, we have accommodation.
- 38:03It's doable. So people who say, oh, I can't
- 38:06get time off work, I don't have the funds, I I get that.
- 38:09But now we have enough time in Charlotte to prepare for next
- 38:11year and that gives us the opportunity.
- 38:13Nothing else. That's the place to go to get
- 38:15your prayers answered. I sent.
- 38:17Imam Saab is the man. He even says in in Zyata now
- 38:19here that Saddam's upon the one who Allah placed answering the
- 38:24odds under his door, right? This is something that's given
- 38:28to it must be seen exclusively, right?
- 38:31The same way that the shifa is in his torba, right?
- 38:34This is something that is exclusive to Imam Al Hussain Ali
- 38:37Salaam. So if if nothing else, if for no
- 38:40other reason, then that's where your prayers get answered.
- 38:42That's the the place to go. Well, beautiful reminder, Allah,
- 38:45beautiful reminder. I just want to also add
- 38:47something to the advice you gave to our listeners is that
- 38:50sometimes I hear around people say I want to go.
- 38:53I want they have the intention to go, but they're, they're
- 38:56scared to go because they're alone.
- 38:58But I, I, I, I think if you go to your local community, speak
- 39:03with them, I'm sure they can advise you on Ziara group.
- 39:05I'm sure they can tell you, for example, OK, there's, we know
- 39:08six brothers are going from this Hosseini or the Semamarka maybe.
- 39:11Why don't you join? Guys, message us, listen, if you
- 39:13don't trust your community or you don't know any, message us
- 39:16online, Instagram, e-mail us. We'll do whatever we can.
- 39:19If we know groups going, we know people going in Charlotte, we'll
- 39:21try do whatever we can for next year in Charlotte.
- 39:23And obviously there's other times in the years that, you
- 39:25know, people go December and Easter and all these different
- 39:28times of the year, which great. So Arbane is one-of-a-kind
- 39:31though. So it's, it can't be missed.
- 39:32I think it needs to be experiences.
- 39:34I think what Ahmed, what you said also about making the
- 39:37intention, it goes a long way, right?
- 39:40There's AI think there's there's quite a big thing in in like our
- 39:44kind of South Asian communities where people say, you know, I
- 39:47haven't been called. Right you.
- 39:49Know that the kind of mentality that you know, I haven't been
- 39:52called yet. They may even have the
- 39:53capabilities to go and that like, you know, I think having
- 39:57that intention, I think goes a long way.
- 39:58Once you have that, like, you know, that longing in your
- 40:01heart. Mahmoud has seen you'll.
- 40:02Make it, make it happen. I've said this before on the
- 40:04pod, I'll say it again. My first start of Bain was in
- 40:092022, OK? And I think for me, that was the
- 40:15first year after my son was born.
- 40:17And that year my Muharram was like elite in London.
- 40:22I really felt it. I think it was the year after
- 40:25COVID or two years after COVID. So we just start having majalis
- 40:27again. And I really got into it and I
- 40:30really enjoyed it. And I think I cried more in that
- 40:34Muharram than I probably have in the last few years, or at least
- 40:36in my adult life. And I had a longing, like a
- 40:39yearning. I remember after Ashura
- 40:41thinking, I know it's not going to happen, but if there's a way,
- 40:44Allah make it happen, please. Anyway, I did, it was about a
- 40:49week before Arbayin, OK, or before people start flying out
- 40:52for Arbayin. And I did a really small Maj.
- 40:56list in my home, the first Maj. list, which Hamdallah, every
- 41:00year I've been able to host in my home during this period.
- 41:02And the NIA is to serve Bibi Omar Banin.
- 41:05And that was the first year I made that.
- 41:06NIA and I had Sheikh Ibrahim on Saudis, who's a good friend of
- 41:09us and the team. He came to my home and, you
- 41:13know, the brothers were eating and and it was everyone was
- 41:16talking about buying, booking flights, this.
- 41:18And I was like, yeah, I can't go.
- 41:19While we were on the sofa in my own home, the merge list, I was
- 41:23chatting to Sheikh Ibrahim. I said, bro, just one second.
- 41:26I'm getting a call. I need to pick it up.
- 41:28It's quite urgent. I will say to Hassan, who's a
- 41:31good friend of ours, he called me, he's like Ahmed, the call
- 41:33has come, we're going, I'm sorry, what do you mean?
- 41:36He's like, I was like, don't play with me bro.
- 41:39He's like, no, we're going to Irvine, pack your bags, we'll
- 41:42sort everything out and share Allah, the accommodation.
- 41:44With everything all sorted, we were able to go and film and do
- 41:49work with charity. And I went with my dear brother,
- 41:53said Hassan Shahramandamani, who's of course a brother to us
- 41:56as well, teacher to us. And I had the most beautiful
- 42:00first out of buying trip. I wasn't going to say out of
- 42:03buying trip because I then went with said Ali.
- 42:05So that, which is equally, you know, memorable for many
- 42:08reasons, but I just, I just feel like there's, there's, there's
- 42:12times, you know, when you work 100%, you know what someone
- 42:15says, try your hardest and then you try your hardest plus 10%.
- 42:18Yeah, that's that's when that's when you feel like you earned
- 42:22it. That, yeah, I felt like I earned
- 42:23it, but I actually felt like I was, I was brought, you know?
- 42:27Well, that makes hope for later. Than in one of the lectures,
- 42:29actually when I was at Arbaeen, I think it was the night of
- 42:32Arbaeen and the lecturer was a Pakistani lecturer and he was
- 42:36reciting and he was saying that there are some people that are
- 42:39saying that, you know, we haven't been called, we haven't
- 42:42been invited by Mamad Hussein. And he said do you know what I
- 42:47say to that individual? I say that in order to be
- 42:52personally called by Mamad Hussein, you have to be Habibul
- 42:55Mubahid. Allah said.
- 42:57He said the job of the slave is to go and find the lost.
- 43:03So like that that that mentality is is is more like how we need
- 43:07to. You go knocking on the door.
- 43:09Exactly. You do anything to ask for an
- 43:11entry, beg for an invitation, beg for entry, beg for access to
- 43:16Visio. You don't say Oh no.
- 43:18If if the invitation comes, of course we believe that those,
- 43:21only, those who are worthy of going will be there.
- 43:23But you know, you need to make yourself known.
- 43:25You need to make yourself. Was fun alive.
- 43:28Every Muharram I I get asked the question, are you going to
- 43:31Arbine? Are you going to Arbine?
- 43:32Have you booked for Arbine? And I'm always like, inshallah,
- 43:36the intention is there. So the the answer is consistent
- 43:39throughout whether the Arcman Ramadan or the Arcman Sharp.
- 43:42Well, I will say in Sharp. Ways have there and you.
- 43:43Exhaust I think every opportunity possible, every Ave.
- 43:46you can take to try your best to go.
- 43:49If it doesn't happen, then I believe that is tough at the end
- 43:51of the day because you tried your ultimate best.
- 43:54And for people who I I will not, there's something I want to
- 43:57mention here. There's people out there who
- 43:59say, you know what? I'm going to go to Iraq, but I'm
- 44:07going to go Ziara. That's it.
- 44:10One day, then I'm going to go Dubai, then I'm going to go
- 44:12stumble, then I'm. Going to be right?
- 44:14Exactly. But I don't think you should
- 44:16ever have that intention. But you mean on the same trip?
- 44:18On the same trip. Because it's sponge.
- 44:21Spiritually, yeah. Yeah, how if you want how Yeah,
- 44:24it doesn't you should come home. It makes.
- 44:25Sense I know it's not random to bring in right now, but it was a
- 44:28combo I was having with a friend the other day.
- 44:29It was like, bro, your intention should be only Ziara, Only
- 44:33Ziara. Like yeah, nothing else.
- 44:35Someone told me, OK, I'm going to come out and go Ziara, You
- 44:38also want to go Baghdad. Honestly, the malls honestly
- 44:40like the new. What are you talking about?
- 44:43And you want to go visit the dunya?
- 44:50It's beside the Don't go far away.
- 44:54Yeah, man, like. Come on, bro.
- 44:55Yeah, yeah. And this time?
- 44:57You want to be. Honest, OK, let me ask you guys
- 45:00last last, last last question and.
- 45:02Before we spill the beans. To wrap up, yeah, we need to
- 45:04wrap up on AI. Don't want to say light hearted,
- 45:08but on a more social note, what has been your most memorable
- 45:13Mokib experience? My most memorable Mokib
- 45:17experience in Karbala. On the walk.
- 45:21Yeah, on the walk. OK, Indian Mokib, shout out to
- 45:26them. I think it was 400 and
- 45:28something. I can't remember which number it
- 45:30was, but they were basically looking for like people to come
- 45:33and eat. I think they were like looking
- 45:35out for Asians as well specifically.
- 45:38And they, they stopped us and I think me and my wife at that
- 45:41point, we were in the mode like we were walking like we didn't
- 45:44really want to be stepped. He took us in.
- 45:46He was like, now guys, come on. Like please come in.
- 45:48Now, at this point, we we tried to kind of like go in quickly
- 45:53grab something and just kind of exit the other way.
- 45:58As we exited, he caught us again.
- 45:59He was like, where you going? Like, you know, to stay pray
- 46:03here, this, that and they were so hospitable to us.
- 46:07Like we were we were like genuinely like, why is why is he
- 46:10being why is he? Like.
- 46:11Yeah. And that's really, we presume
- 46:13that that he's not a native, right?
- 46:14He's not Iraqi. He's not.
- 46:15Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly, exactly.
- 46:17And they had like, it was a charity, I believe that was
- 46:20under the supervision of the office of Ayatollah Bashir
- 46:25Nejafi. And it was, it was an amazing
- 46:28market. Is it 465?
- 46:29These were amazing. Did they do medical stuff?
- 46:32Yes. They did, but The thing is 4/6
- 46:34or something like that. Yeah, something like that.
- 46:35But they weren't. They were amazing.
- 46:36Do you remember? Like met some amazing people.
- 46:39That as well went there last year as well.
- 46:40We checked that out yeah, yeah, I remember that as well yeah,
- 46:42it's massive. I remember that.
- 46:44Every time I go, I go and check it out because all all the all
- 46:47the boys are usually there as well.
- 46:49That's the way we filmed the brother, Neil.
- 46:50Or it's either. From somewhere near there.
- 46:52Yeah, it was near there. Neil was at 300.
- 46:54It's like, what about you said? Well, first of all, Handel, I've
- 46:58been blessed multiple times to go for Ziata Arbain and every SA
- 47:01different different experience with the people that you meet,
- 47:05the services, the husband that they offer and you see different
- 47:07things. Every Mochim offers a similar
- 47:10service, but everyone has their like their unique different way
- 47:13of headline, you know, different flavour connecting with you and
- 47:15stuff. But I would go back to possibly
- 47:19over that Ziara I mentioned earlier when I went with the
- 47:22Shabbat from Sullava, I think about 10 years ago.
- 47:26At that time, there wasn't really something like Internet
- 47:29in Iraq. The the telecoms infrastructure
- 47:32wasn't really there and everything.
- 47:33And there were people like coming from Iran and these
- 47:35countries that they're trying to connect with their family and
- 47:38everything. There was a Mokib, Mokib Wi-Fi.
- 47:44Well, there was no Wi-Fi, but I meant there was a more kid, you
- 47:48know. You know, in Iraq, like if you
- 47:49want to top up your phone, you have to buy like a car.
- 47:52You scratch it and you update the top up, right?
- 47:54The smoker was given out for free.
- 47:56So Zuar are coming and they're buying top UPS Wow to put Wow
- 48:01money into their phone. Crazy to call their loved ones
- 48:03to say OK, I'm on the way, I'm here, you're there.
- 48:05Like to me I was like, wow, who gives out free who at that time?
- 48:09But every GB was like what? Yeah, £20 an hour.
- 48:12Yeah, I'm, I'm being real. What can you the?
- 48:14Smoking was 20. Pounds you can drive across the
- 48:16country, yeah. So like, from, like, what age
- 48:19was like 20, maybe around. I was 20 then.
- 48:22And to me, that was what? What's going on?
- 48:23Yeah. This is something you don't see
- 48:25anywhere else in the world. Yeah, you.
- 48:27Can do everything, yes. So nothing charges.
- 48:29Yeah, charges, like when I saw those market, I was shocked as
- 48:32what I was thinking. Like it's thoughtful, it's so
- 48:34thoughtful. Like there's like a charger
- 48:35market, like it's just telephones.
- 48:37I came across Malwar Cube that fixed wheelchairs.
- 48:40I came across Malwar Cube that fixed your sandals.
- 48:43OK, like everything you can imagine.
- 48:47May Allah bless you know one thing that last thing I'll say
- 48:49and it's all for free. Last thing I'll say and like I
- 48:53truly believe this. I don't know whether people like
- 48:55it or not and and this is my opinion.
- 48:57Sharla who Imam likes it. Sharla, I feel that the people
- 49:01of Iraq have been given Imam Hussein for a reason.
- 49:04Ayesla to Salaam like you have to have some quality or
- 49:10characteristic which makes you worthy of hosting, being the
- 49:13gatekeepers of the imams body and the ones who honour him and
- 49:19you know, treasure his presence and respect him.
- 49:22And like, I feel like when, when you meet me being a someone
- 49:26who's immersed myself a bit more into the anarchic culture, my
- 49:29wife and my children are anarchy, my kids obviously mixed
- 49:32race, but I recognise that there's, there's a level of, of,
- 49:37of genuine and sincere personality traits which the
- 49:42Iraqi people have, which no one else has.
- 49:44I really believe that the love, the humility, the generosity and
- 49:48just there's overwhelming goodness that comes out of the
- 49:51Iraqi people. And I feel like no, no other
- 49:53human population, no other race or no other country could host
- 49:58Zarat Alabani like the Iraqi people do, the natives, the
- 50:01locals who put in everything like this is their life purpose,
- 50:05right? So Allah bless them, reward them
- 50:07always. Because we look up to them, you
- 50:09know, they, they, they, they look up, you know, they say, oh,
- 50:12you guys will come from far. We have it easy, right?
- 50:14We book flights, you know, we come in our polo shirts and our
- 50:18Nike trainers and stuff like we're chilling, generally
- 50:20speaking, right? We come from high paid jobs
- 50:23relatively to them we're coming and we're we're in luxury
- 50:26hotels. You have to bear in mind that
- 50:28oh, there's a word that come from like like some random city
- 50:32in like Mazur, Iran, or. Something.
- 50:34Oh yeah, Yeah, you're right. Yeah, yeah.
- 50:35These Iran, like Iranians are such a big part of the Zara as
- 50:39well, right? Yeah, of course.
- 50:39Every Iranian I meet in Zara Alwar, in the first question he
- 50:43asks me, where are you from, Al Tadam?
- 50:45Yeah, I'm from Britain. Did you come here by plane?
- 50:49Or by walking. That's the first, that's the
- 50:51first question that. He from Britain.
- 50:52Asks no, like you like you, you you'll say like where did you
- 50:56walk from? Like basically right.
- 50:58He'll be when I get to Karbala, like if I'm asking Iranian,
- 51:02you'll be like, oh, you came by plane like that's the first
- 51:04thing I ask. I'm like, yeah, I came by plane.
- 51:06It's like what about you? And he's like, I came from like,
- 51:09I don't know, like Mazan Iran, I came from here.
- 51:12I came from and you're thinking, bro, like how long was you
- 51:14walking? And yeah, to say lazy bro that,
- 51:20but honestly, like these guys. They work.
- 51:22They work 30 days ages. They work for like a month.
- 51:25It's like, and, and you have to bear in mind, like I'm working
- 51:28from legends to Kabbalah for like maybe a day and a half, two
- 51:31days maybe. And I've got food and water and
- 51:34everything at my disposal, right?
- 51:37You're walking from Mazandaran, bro.
- 51:38Like, I don't know how many Milwaukee people got on the
- 51:40road, You know what I mean? Like you know how how difficult
- 51:43that must be. One thing last thing I'll say
- 51:45for me is I know that there's also a group of brothers who go
- 51:48to Sham during these days and they do the walk.
- 51:51Have you been or do you know about it?
- 51:53I haven't been to I. Haven't been to a player to I
- 51:56can't remember what it is. They do a walk and if I like
- 52:00this is for those who have seen the through an episode we did a
- 52:04few weeks ago with brother Zaheb and and Hussain, they referenced
- 52:08it. But there's a beautiful walk
- 52:09which happens in Sham as well, and people do that as well, and
- 52:13I think that's something equally important.
- 52:15The allegiance to say. The Zainab allegiance to say you
- 52:19know, and just being able to, you know, recognise that
- 52:23Karbalai is, is not just the memory of the Makati, but also
- 52:28the tragedies and what happened to to what took place.
- 52:31I think that part is also divine, right?
- 52:33Yeah. We spoke up.
- 52:34We speak about, you know, shut Allah and Urani Katilan.
- 52:37I mean, Hussein is saying they all wanted to see me killed.
- 52:40And he says shut Allah. And you're like, that Allah
- 52:43wished to see them be taken as prisoners, as captives, Right.
- 52:47So that's, of course, like, equally as divine, as important.
- 52:52Yeah. Of Abdullah.
- 52:53OK, let's crack on last section guys, for those who are tuning
- 52:58in. So a couple of updates.
- 53:02I'm I'm going to kind of bullet point them and then Charlotte
- 53:04will discuss them, if that's all right.
- 53:06So the first being guys, is this will be the last episode for
- 53:08this season on after my clip, unfortunately.
- 53:11So my Salaam Qadhaf is to season 4.
- 53:14It's been a pleasure. We've had amazing conversations.
- 53:16We've had a couple dozen amazing episodes on the After Magnum
- 53:20Thursday podcast, which has been great, said Ali and myself, and
- 53:24of course the other hosts who played part and other guests, of
- 53:28course. So thank you to everyone who's
- 53:29been a part of this season on After Magnum.
- 53:32Not just those on the set, but you guys behind the scenes as
- 53:34well who are working, say, Mushtaba by the Muhammad Zahidi,
- 53:38Amir Sadiq. Yeah.
- 53:39So the whole team, sister Miriam, who helps the real
- 53:42sister Amina, who helps with thumbnails like Amir, Love,
- 53:45bless you guys. You are a core part of the team,
- 53:47you know that and. Sorry, Moss, anyone?
- 53:50Yeah, said Moss in. And the whole team, everyone who
- 53:53volunteers and who who makes it what it is to shout out to you
- 53:56guys, secondly to you guys at home.
- 53:57Thank you for everything. We've in the last.
- 54:00So this season we've probably had a few 100,000 views and
- 54:04listens across all platforms, which has been amazing.
- 54:06So thank you for helping us grow.
- 54:07We're not where we want to be. The reason why we're ending the
- 54:10season now is because we are being asked to leave this
- 54:14premises, which is unfortunate because we've only been here for
- 54:18under a year because the landlord of this building at the
- 54:21studio is selling the property. So we're unfortunately having to
- 54:25leave. So what that means is on very
- 54:27short notice we have to pack up everything you see here and
- 54:29everything you don't see and move it to a temporary place
- 54:33inshallah while we'll while we while while we are trying to set
- 54:38up a more permanent fixture. A lot of works in mysterious
- 54:40ways and great ways. So this is something hopefully
- 54:42which will in the long run be very beneficial for us.
- 54:46We pray inshallah at least, and allow us to do more stuff.
- 54:49We have some more updates and I want to ask you guys about the
- 54:51Sisters podcast. Can is that something we can
- 54:53expect anytime soon? So obviously we've got the
- 54:57issues with the studio and we wanted to actually start a
- 55:00recording within these weeks, but obviously we've been forced
- 55:05out of the studio, so obviously it's been delayed.
- 55:07But inshallah, as far as I know it is in the works.
- 55:10Yeah, I think so much of us done the graphics and and stuff.
- 55:14We knew we were leaving, but we thought we're leaving in around
- 55:17September, October. So the plan was to get the
- 55:20Sisters podcast recorded in. August, July, or.
- 55:23August so that we could release it while we're away.
- 55:26Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was. But because we've been given
- 55:28early eviction notice, unfortunately, it's been delayed
- 55:31again, yeah. But hopefully by the time you
- 55:34guys are watching it, you know there'll be more progress.
- 55:36Yeah, in Charlotte and shout out to the sisters because they know
- 55:39we've we've kept the way to as. Soon as we get a place where we
- 55:42can film yeah in Charlotte, we can push to start.
- 55:45Going, yeah, yeah. Yeah, so talk to me about the
- 55:50event, the next after Maghub event.
- 55:53So the next after Maghub event, inshallah, God willing.
- 55:57It's something we're working on now behind the scenes and I
- 56:00think we're already looking at different venues around London.
- 56:04I think we're going to have an elite line up of people who are
- 56:07going to shallow host and be part and feature during the
- 56:10aftermath of event for the upcoming year and I I think.
- 56:13People should comment who they expect to see.
- 56:15Yeah, if if you want to see someone specific, I think do
- 56:18comment who you want to and Charlotte we can try to make
- 56:20that happen. But I do want to say something
- 56:22about this delays and things before I continue about the
- 56:24event is that with with every delay, there's hair behind it.
- 56:27It's close. Yeah.
- 56:28And just like we've been here under a year and I think we
- 56:30solve vision this to be our home for the next few years.
- 56:34But no, sometimes things don't look out by.
- 56:36The way but I took we took today about moving offices and stuff.
- 56:41Yeah, the answer from the share. Forgive me this, he said.
- 56:46It's good and it serves your religion.
- 56:48Yeah, it's amazing. Yeah.
- 56:51So God works in mysterious ways. And I and I, and I know I tell
- 56:55you the sisters podcast, a lot of people have been asking in
- 56:57our DMS. Sometimes I, I, I get asked what's happening with
- 57:01sisters podcast with those who are interested assist only
- 57:03discussions as sisters. I'm like inshallah's in the in
- 57:06the pipeline. Just make dua, honestly, raise
- 57:08your hands, make some dua. Inshallah.
- 57:11Ask Allah, Subhana to Allah, to allow us to, you know, continue
- 57:14this work. Ahmed, I genuinely believe
- 57:16Inshallah, we're doing God's work and we can only do this
- 57:19with your support. Yeah.
- 57:22What, what? What do we need from our
- 57:26community to allow us to make things happen?
- 57:29From our community, we need first of all their support.
- 57:33At least if if at the very least we'd be obviously keeping up
- 57:37with our content. But also we have the the
- 57:40partnership program on the aftermarket website.
- 57:44You can donate as a little as £5 a month I believe it is.
- 57:48Is that the minimum? Yeah.
- 57:49Well, you can do custom, but obviously we, we at the bare
- 57:52minimum we'd appreciate anything per month.
- 57:54Yeah, definitely. And we are at the moment a
- 57:56completely independent organization and we are
- 58:00completely reliant on the donations that are coming in and
- 58:03the support from the community. So it's very, very important
- 58:06that we we're able to kind of reach out to the community, make
- 58:10sure that they are also involved with the project because I'm
- 58:13sure that there are a lot of you that do appreciate the work and
- 58:16the amount of amazing guests we're able to bring onto the
- 58:19podcast. Other shows that we're doing, of
- 58:22course, we're starting a new show, the the Sisters podcast
- 58:26and maybe other shows as well. And of course the event as well.
- 58:29So all of these things do require your support.
- 58:31And yeah, you can do that on WWW dot dot com.com forward slash.
- 58:37Donate. Donate Yeah.
- 58:39There you go. I would say with us potentially
- 58:40moving to a bigger space, yeah, we can make amazing programs,
- 58:45but it's just it depends on funding.
- 58:47Yeah, 100% so. The team is there, but it's just
- 58:50it's, it's trying to get it together.
- 58:52Depends on your funding, so. Yeah, we we've got.
- 58:55Countless ideas that we'd love to do.
- 58:57I mean, we're in London and for those around the world, let me
- 59:00tell you, London is one of the most expensive cities for,
- 59:03especially for commercial spaces.
- 59:05And what we need is something quite bespoke.
- 59:07So we don't need office space, we need a space which is like
- 59:10customisable space where we can hang things up and where we can
- 59:14put lighting and sound and all sorts of different things
- 59:16around. And of course a lot of storage
- 59:18as well. And then you want to have
- 59:20different sets. Muhammad Ali's had a show and
- 59:22hopefully each other will have one soon.
- 59:24And we've got this show. We're going to start the sisters
- 59:26show and others. Like we have 3 or 4 different
- 59:28show concepts which we haven't even told you guys about Sharla.
- 59:31But we can only do that with space and we can only get space
- 59:33with your support in Sharla. And as you said, MO, like we're
- 59:37completely community fundraise funded and and we fundraise
- 59:40through you and we aim to grow through you.
- 59:42So we don't have a political or religious group or an
- 59:47organization or an office which funds us.
- 59:49We don't have any allegiances or agendas in all honesty, our
- 59:54nears just to serve Allah called slam and in Charlotte to be able
- 59:59to grow in providing the content because we want to become more
- 1:00:02than just the Thursday podcast the Friday during our nights we
- 1:00:05want it to be. Something which is
- 1:00:07transformative for the western shooter community.
- 1:00:09We can only do that if you back us and obviously you can buy the
- 1:00:11merch. You can see me on wearing the
- 1:00:13aftermath and Pudi, which I really like.
- 1:00:15My wife tells me don't wear it to work, don't wear it at home.
- 1:00:18It's I know it's comfy, but don't overwear it.
- 1:00:20I can't really help it sometimes because I love it.
- 1:00:23So you guys know what to do? We want to create a home for the
- 1:00:26viewers, somewhere where you guys can go to whenever you need
- 1:00:30anything. Whether you need to chat someone
- 1:00:32you need to watch, something you need to.
- 1:00:34It's a place that. We love you so much Voila.
- 1:00:37You know, every day we get Adm or a message that makes me
- 1:00:40emotional is that pretty much nearly every day Adm or a
- 1:00:44message from someone who's either joined you the.
- 1:00:46Screenshot of the guy backing us on WhatsApp.
- 1:00:48Yeah, yeah. Like anything, it could be
- 1:00:50someone who said like, there was a message a few weeks ago, the
- 1:00:52sister said that she's watched everything now she's run out of
- 1:00:55afternoon. I'm like, how have you been,
- 1:00:57like 2-2 hundred episodes? Have you?
- 1:00:59It's like, yeah. And I've binged all of it.
- 1:01:01Like I've watched every single. So I'm like, wow, like
- 1:01:03Subhanallah and Charlotte, people are benefiting.
- 1:01:05I had a friend call me a couple of days ago and I prefer when
- 1:01:08people are honest with me. He's like, yeah, you know, like
- 1:01:10I only started really watching it this year.
- 1:01:12He's like, but the quality is really good.
- 1:01:14And he goes, I, I, I love watching it and I, I'm glad that
- 1:01:17obviously every episode's very different.
- 1:01:19And if you look at the last two months, even since the start of
- 1:01:22Muharram, obviously we start Muharram, the three of us and
- 1:01:24Charlotte, we're ending the season with three of us as well.
- 1:01:26But in that time in between, we've had Ida Bar, we've had
- 1:01:29friends, we've had, you know, creatives, we've had youth
- 1:01:33speakers, we've had different people on who've been able to to
- 1:01:36kind of bring their own perspective.
- 1:01:38Well, in many ways, it's a blessing to be pop off the
- 1:01:40mother. I'll be very honest.
- 1:01:42I need, I need. You don't just to like meet and
- 1:01:45interact with like knowledgeable guests and.
- 1:01:47And it's the biggest. Have spiritual growth.
- 1:01:51No, it's it's it's like you feel like this is your this is the
- 1:01:54way you belong, bro. Like we just you have the
- 1:01:57Islamic discussions. You talk about the Earl bait and
- 1:02:00you you like you encourage people to go Ziara like this
- 1:02:03episode, for example. This is what we're all about
- 1:02:05Yanni and Charlotte. And I really ask a lot of final
- 1:02:07Atala that he allows people to. How can I say?
- 1:02:11Yeah, Charlotte, as brother Muhammad mentioned earlier on,
- 1:02:15become a partner. Don't think twice, Don't think
- 1:02:17three times, don't think 10 times.
- 1:02:18And look, if you can't become a partner, if you can't support us
- 1:02:20financially, maybe ask your brother, ask your sister, ask
- 1:02:24your uncle, ask your friend, send a WhatsApp to your to your
- 1:02:26best friend, to your BFF. Or just say, look, there's,
- 1:02:29there's brothers who inshallah are doing God's work.
- 1:02:32I'm going to say this 100 times because I truly believe it.
- 1:02:35If I didn't believe it's God's work, I'll go home.
- 1:02:36Now, what am I doing here week in, week out?
- 1:02:38Ahmed, let's be honest. I'm Ham.
- 1:02:40Yeah. This takes a lot of our time.
- 1:02:41It takes a lot of our energy. It takes a lot of research.
- 1:02:45It takes so much manpower goes behind.
- 1:02:48And it's not just us. There's a team behind us.
- 1:02:49There's volunteers. So there's a lot of things that
- 1:02:52happen here. And if if we didn't believe in
- 1:02:54the cause, in this message and what we're doing, propagating
- 1:02:56the teachings of that debate. Ali Hamou Salaam, why are we
- 1:02:59here? At the end of the day, we're
- 1:03:00here for you. We're here for us and the
- 1:03:01shallow on this journey together.
- 1:03:03So please visit aftermathof.com, forward slash donate and
- 1:03:06consider because. I realise I didn't shout out
- 1:03:07Daniel Waliel. Shout, Daniel.
- 1:03:08Yeah, from Daniel, Absolutely. Yeah.
- 1:03:10What's the new mom brother Hamid Zahidi say?
- 1:03:12I'm Hamid also. I, I just wanted to also say
- 1:03:16that I hope that the viewers have benefited from the
- 1:03:19Jumanites Q&A series that we had.
- 1:03:22I think we loved it, might have had the last episode by now, or
- 1:03:26maybe it might be next week. I'm not sure.
- 1:03:28I can't remember my calculations but.
- 1:03:30So Ali, what was your favorite episode from Jumanites Q&A?
- 1:03:33The shorter one. OK, that to be fair, that was
- 1:03:36probably. The one was the most
- 1:03:38contentious. Because it was like it's a
- 1:03:40question people ask year in year round, right?
- 1:03:42And and is this question has been, I think in discussion
- 1:03:46circles between friends and communities for like I think in
- 1:03:48the last 5-6 years. And I'll be honest because sure
- 1:03:51is only growing I can see. Growing it something you hear a
- 1:03:53lot in Arbine. Yeah, yeah, and and for those
- 1:03:56who who will be there in Arbine, you'll wouldn't assure happening
- 1:03:58in the Milwaukee and places. So you gave a lot of clarity to
- 1:04:01it, Hamdallah. Yeah, Hamdallah, Yeah.
- 1:04:03What about yourself? What was your favorite?
- 1:04:04I put on the spot bro. But no I think from like an
- 1:04:07academic level. I think the abufathered one says
- 1:04:10Father Abbas Ali Salah to Islam Allah amazing.
- 1:04:12I think that was my. Favorite suit to?
- 1:04:14Be I like obviously I asked a question about Sahara, Sahara 1.
- 1:04:17I I at the point of recording hasn't come out yet if I'm not
- 1:04:20saying, but I'm looking forward to hearing that and also the
- 1:04:24Taklid one as well. Yeah, so which is great and
- 1:04:27shorter. Jaime's was great.
- 1:04:29Shorter was great. I know my stuff, bro exactly.
- 1:04:31I know my stuff. What did we?
- 1:04:32Do last week was beneficial. In last week I did, yeah.
- 1:04:35So anyway guys, OK, now that's. The good, yeah.
- 1:04:39Yeah, I thought that was a beneficial series of I know it
- 1:04:42was at 50, but this was like just to kind of patch up some
- 1:04:46things that weren't spoken about during Jamal nights.
- 1:04:49Obviously, I always call it like a, a short course on, on
- 1:04:52theology, like to give you a taste of a taste of everything
- 1:04:55in, in Al Qaeda. And I think something like Raja
- 1:04:59was so important to speak about during German nights, which I
- 1:05:02didn't. So I think if not anything else,
- 1:05:05that episode was very, very important to the playlist in
- 1:05:08general. So I'll happen to that.
- 1:05:10And of course, like you said, we do plan to do another show,
- 1:05:13obviously. Charlotte gives us the
- 1:05:16opportunity, yeah. And Charlotte, the next event,
- 1:05:18we won't be hosting the first podcast as a Germanites podcast,
- 1:05:23but as the new show's name. Allah, Allah.
- 1:05:26Allah, that's the plan. Thursday morning.
- 1:05:30Thursday winning. OK guys, for the very last time
- 1:05:34of the season, yeah, we're going to miss you guys.
- 1:05:37We are going to be putting fuller content, part fuller
- 1:05:39content up on Instagram, on YouTube bits and pieces of
- 1:05:42previous weeks. We started doing it and I hope
- 1:05:44you guys are enjoying it, but just.
- 1:05:46Snippets One special episode we're planning of.
- 1:05:49Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:05:50Hopefully we're gonna do some exclusive stuff.
- 1:05:52Need a lot of work. And Charlotte, if it happens,
- 1:05:54it'll. Come at some point.
- 1:05:56Charlotte, that's very, very special.
- 1:05:58But we will, but we will regard this on the on the aftermarket
- 1:06:01of YouTube page be posting like snippets of clips over the last
- 1:06:05150 episodes. And you know, I doubt most
- 1:06:08people have seen every part of every episode, but there's some
- 1:06:11real gems over the years which you've been able to record with
- 1:06:13amazing guests. So we're going to start putting
- 1:06:15weekly snippets up. You've probably seen a few of
- 1:06:17them already. If you haven't, check out the
- 1:06:18clips playlist on YouTube. And of course, follow us on
- 1:06:22TikTok and Instagram and make sure you subscribe.
- 1:06:25We've actually passed 1 million views on Instagram.
- 1:06:27This part, this Maharam. Yeah, handed that, it should be
- 1:06:30more. I think it was more anyway.
- 1:06:32And guys, make sure you also stay tuned.
- 1:06:35We'll be back hopefully in the next few weeks and see you then.
- 1:06:40Take care, brothers. Salaam alaikum.
