- 0:00Welcome to the one small change. I am thrilled that you're taking time out
- 0:04of your week to embark on this journey of exploration and transformation.
- 0:08I am your coach, Yvonne. I'm not your coach. I'm your host.
- 0:13Yvonne McCoy, and I bring almost thirty years of entrepreneurial
- 0:17experience and a passion for discovering growth through the power of seemingly
- 0:21small change. So I wanna thank you for taking time out of your schedule,
- 0:25and including me on your journey of exploration. This
- 0:28week, we are talking to the amazing Steve Bossman.
- 0:32And Steve is gonna tell us about a small change that made a
- 0:36significant difference in his business and how he does it.
- 0:40So, Steve, thank you for taking time to do this.
- 0:44Well, I'm going to, cut to the chase. Let everybody
- 0:48know by now they've guessed with my accent that I'm from
- 0:51Australia, and I'm welcoming you to a sunrise
- 0:56over the beautiful Sydney Harbour. So we've left it
- 0:59au naturel, and anything could happen with the sun. It could come
- 1:03streaming in. I could go dark. I could go light. But, hey, it's all
- 1:07in the hands of the sun. But your voice will stay the same.
- 1:11Yeah. I'll stay the same. I'll I'll still be me. So Steve and
- 1:15I met this year, right, in in one of the many
- 1:18networking places we went. And I have to say
- 1:23that first of all, I love hearing his voice. Right?
- 1:27But you had some interesting things that you're doing in the way you
- 1:30do your business. So tell us the the how you got to where you are.
- 1:34What was the small change that helped you do your business better or steered you
- 1:38in that direction? Well, I'm gonna talk about two changes.
- 1:42Neither of them were fairly small. I I
- 1:46never actually entrepreneurialism had sort of
- 1:50always been in my blood. However, I left
- 1:53school, became a professional athlete, and that was great. Now for
- 1:57seven or eight years, I was just full time professional. However,
- 2:01training for the Olympics, I crushed three discs in my back,
- 2:04and you don't run real well with a a crook back. So
- 2:08that was that career gone. And while I was going through rehab, I fell in
- 2:12love with the fitness industry. And that one change
- 2:15from professional athlete to falling in love with the fitness industry, I
- 2:19opened up a health club, and that started that journey. So it was,
- 2:23well, bang. That was a a major change. But here's something that,
- 2:27a lot of your audience will now, resonate
- 2:30with. That one little thing that happened during the
- 2:34you know? Well, it's called COVID.
- 2:38That one thing that, that happened. And the economy
- 2:42in Australia was pretty stuffed. It really crashed, and a lot of
- 2:46my clients were relying on welfare, well,
- 2:49government subsidies, and all of those sorts of things. So I was not a
- 2:53priority. Therefore, my business started going
- 2:57down. I decided, well, I'm going to take my business via the Zoom
- 3:00chair to North America. There's a lot more people there,
- 3:04and I can resonate with them. So I I packed up,
- 3:08repositioned, produced what I call a back pocket guide, went
- 3:12over there, and met people like you in a networking event. I
- 3:16had one event and then started podcasting,
- 3:19getting on podcasts. And then one thing led to another, and I
- 3:23started learning how to leverage being a podcast guest. And it
- 3:27was that one thing, that little shift
- 3:30on not being a good interviewee, but leveraging the
- 3:34actual podcast itself and took my
- 3:37business from zero to six figures in a
- 3:41foreign country during COVID in less than ten months.
- 3:45And I've been doing that ever since. So that one little change,
- 3:49COVID and podcasting, really has made a
- 3:53difference. And since then, I've been helping hundreds of people do
- 3:57exactly the same. And I I think that probably one of
- 4:01the one of the things sometimes when when we're starting out our business, we don't
- 4:04think of our business as being global or being multi continent.
- 4:09You know, that kind of thing we you know? Like, I was talking to somebody
- 4:11who did did a connection call, and they were saying, I wanna do this. And
- 4:14I said, well, let me ask you a question. If you do this, you know
- 4:18you're constrained to just being local. Where if
- 4:21you do, you know, expand the idea, you could have a much bigger
- 4:25market. So that is even though it's a
- 4:29shift, you were doing the thing that you were doing, but looking at
- 4:33it differently is a huge thing. So so tell us more about how
- 4:36that how you were able to accomplish
- 4:41in ten months over Zoom building a huge
- 4:45business. Yeah. It's,
- 4:49generally, I've always thought big. Back in the fitness industry days, I
- 4:53had one kid's club, an activities program for
- 4:5615 kids. Couple of things happened, got out
- 5:00to do some promotions. I I ran back to the gym and mapped out a
- 5:03plan. I said to my sister, this is gonna be an international network. And
- 5:07she said, yeah. Good on you. Get back to work. But in five
- 5:10years, five years later, I'd actually franchised it into five countries.
- 5:15So it was always in me to think, well, think global.
- 5:19And as one thing led to another in the fitness industry, I
- 5:22got to speak in, 10 to 15 countries.
- 5:26So I'd always thought that, and I thought, well, this thing
- 5:30called Skype and Zoom was here. And at
- 5:34that stage, I I did have international clients. And it's like,
- 5:37well, we can use this stuff to to get to a a
- 5:41bigger audience. And let me tell you, I made quite a few
- 5:44mistakes, in just
- 5:48getting on and doing some interviews, giving some people some good
- 5:51ideas. And then it was like, well, hang on.
- 5:55And this was the biggest shift. And for your audience, tune into this if they
- 5:59ever want to leverage podcasts and things like that.
- 6:03Yvonne, you're you're a businessperson, aren't you? Yes. I am. You got a
- 6:06business. Yeah. Okay. But you also have a podcast, and you got a lot of
- 6:10listeners. I'm a business person. I'm also
- 6:14a guest. But, unfortunately, most
- 6:17people constrain the conversations that we
- 6:21have host to guest host to guest. And
- 6:25then it's like, well, okay. Well, what are we gonna do here? What are we
- 6:27gonna do there? Yep. Got it all set. Yep. I'm gonna be a good interviewee,
- 6:32where we've already had some chats about potential other things that we could
- 6:35do as a business person and a business person.
- 6:40And when you swap those hats and if if guys, if
- 6:44you've still if you're watching or if you're listening, grab a pen, write this
- 6:47down. The podcast is the
- 6:51doorway to open opportunities, not the
- 6:55destination. See, most people get
- 6:58on. They do a great interview.
- 7:02They're very happy with the interview because I answered all those
- 7:05questions well. They get a pat on the back and
- 7:09they walk away, and they hope that one day somebody will
- 7:13connect with them, download their whatever, their free gift, etcetera,
- 7:17get on their knees, put their hands together, and look skyward.
- 7:20That's not a real good marketing plan to so
- 7:24the biggest thing the biggest thing that I learned was, you know, how do we
- 7:28shift and have that conversation with the business owner as
- 7:32a business owner, and how can we collaborate to create something
- 7:36really cool and special? So so I've heard people say
- 7:39what we're doing is podcasting for partners. You know,
- 7:43it's not just the guesting. Right? Yeah. I think
- 7:47that's and I think the other thing that people do wrong,
- 7:51in my opinion, is they don't think about the
- 7:54audience that they're speaking to. Yes. You have your thing. You do. But there's something
- 7:58that there was a reason that I think the guests asked you
- 8:02to speak. And so what is that thing, and and how do you,
- 8:07how do you make it so that people in their audience are gonna wanna listen
- 8:10to you? Right? We,
- 8:15we do things a little different in our our training. I've got couple of
- 8:19training programs, podcast profits, etcetera. And
- 8:23a lot of people who want to get on podcast, they look at and they
- 8:27say, well, how can I get on the big podcast? How can I get on
- 8:30the podcast that's got the most listeners? And we tell people,
- 8:34great. Go for the audience. Look
- 8:38for the audience that you could add the most value to.
- 8:43What are they listening to to help them change?
- 8:46Because people are listening to your podcast not
- 8:50because they've got absolutely nothing to do and they're
- 8:53gonna say, what am I gonna do now? I'm gonna listen to Yvonne's podcast because
- 8:57I've got nothing to do. They tune into you because
- 9:01you give them fantastic value on things that
- 9:05could add value to their life and or business, solve a problem, or help
- 9:08them accelerate their growth. That's what you do. Why do they tune in? You give
- 9:12damn good information. So
- 9:16whose audience can I add value to? Who's the host of
- 9:20that audience? And how can I help them
- 9:24and their audience get better value from the host? So it's
- 9:28how can I make the host look the hero as well as give
- 9:31value to their audience? And by the way, if
- 9:35we have great synergy, then we might get to work together. Whereas
- 9:39other people say, well, I wanna get in front of a thousand people because I
- 9:43wanna pitch what I wanna do and get
- 9:46exposure. Yeah. It's it just
- 9:50we do it the other way. How can I make how can I give you
- 9:54and your audience awesome value, and then we're gonna
- 9:58do things together? And I I I think the other thing
- 10:02is that so often if it's just, you know, I'm gonna be
- 10:05a guest, it's kind of a transactional thing Mhmm. As
- 10:09to taking the time to build the relationship and you know? So for
- 10:13instance, you know, one of the things that I always try to do with
- 10:16is, you know, take the relationship a little bit further. So what else can we
- 10:19do together besides this interview? But one of the things, the very
- 10:23least that I do is if you're having an
- 10:27event or something like that and I'm putting it in my newsletter, then I go,
- 10:30if you've got time, listen to Steve's podcast. You'll find it really
- 10:34interesting. Do you know? So that I'm you know, I can give you
- 10:37more exposure. And by exposing you on my
- 10:41podcast, you know, people are gonna come to the the podcast you know, the other
- 10:45podcasts as well if they get value. Absolutely.
- 10:49Look. And and we're we're both business people, and and we're looking
- 10:52at what we can do to grow our business and help our audiences the
- 10:56best possible way. And going down the route
- 11:00of getting on massive podcast, and I always tell the story.
- 11:03There's a lady came to me and she said, Steve, I'd love you on my
- 11:07podcast. My people will get great value of what you talk about. And I think
- 11:11great. She said, I I really only have a
- 11:15small community. I got a small people that view
- 11:18my podcast. None of hers got any more than
- 11:22ever a hundred views. And I looked at her and her
- 11:26community, and you know what? It could add value. I said, great.
- 11:30I'd love to. You never know where it leads. And then
- 11:33we had our pre chat, and we teach people how to have the pre chat
- 11:37so you can have those collaborations. And
- 11:41she said, Steve, I've got another community that aren't
- 11:45my audience. Would you like to run an event for
- 11:48them? Of course. I'd love to. And looked
- 11:52at her people and said, yeah. They they they're my people. They're her people.
- 11:56I know that I can help them. Even if they never bought anything from me,
- 11:59they'd walk away with some great value. That one
- 12:03lady from that first conversation
- 12:07generated over sixteen thousand dollars for me within six
- 12:10months. We ran the event. We both made some money.
- 12:15She was she said a lot of people missed it. Can I be an affiliate
- 12:19for your next two events?
- 12:22So always, if you're a if you're a guest, always
- 12:26treat anybody that comes to you with absolute respect
- 12:30because they could, as we say, could be the doorway
- 12:34to multiple opportunities. And if all you did was give great
- 12:38value to a lot of people, you never know where that will end
- 12:41up. So I I just wanna highlight a couple of things that you
- 12:45said because I think it's so important in terms of having
- 12:49a successful business. And I think the first one is
- 12:53that you always add value. It's not you're look not necessarily
- 12:57looking you know, you wanna be strategic because we only have so much time. But
- 13:00at the same time, you know, my value is
- 13:04that you you know, if we've talked that you've gotten something of value
- 13:08to you, that we always that we both leave with being better.
- 13:12And, I think that's so important because
- 13:17you treat everybody as kind of an equal, I think, That we we we we
- 13:21can learn something from all of us. And that's why, you know, for with the
- 13:24podcast and in the newsletter that I do, part of my
- 13:27strategy is I can't be every everything to everybody.
- 13:31And so I offer it up to the people that I think will help
- 13:35my audience. I mean, I never know where you are in your life. You know?
- 13:38I don't know if you're going through a divorce or whether you're building your business
- 13:41or whether you you know, whatever the case may be. So I wanna
- 13:45add value on a variety of fronts because I think, you know,
- 13:49as an entrepreneur, you you you wanna have a successful personal life
- 13:53as well. Absolutely. And because
- 13:57of our current previous
- 14:01relationships and, you know, you've said to me that, hey.
- 14:04Listen. You've got some things coming up. I'd love to highlight them
- 14:08in newsletter. Instead of just coming on, and here's something that
- 14:12people always get wrong on a podcast.
- 14:15They they wait till the end and they say, I have a free gift.
- 14:20Now the yeah. If if you if you're listening to the audio, I am doing
- 14:23my quotation marks. A
- 14:27That's too bad. A a free gift. That's generally the
- 14:31throwaway piece of rubbish to get somebody's email address so I can spam the hell
- 14:35out of you once once it all goes by. So
- 14:38we tell our people no. And because of our relationship, I've
- 14:42actually added something very special. All we'll
- 14:46get to it at the end, all of your audience will get a copy of
- 14:48my back pocket guide, which is almost a workshop in a book, how to become
- 14:52a six figure podcast guest. And I
- 14:55rarely, rarely, rarely ever do this. If
- 14:59they take this accelerator, pack that I put
- 15:02together, they can actually have a call. So we can have a look at your
- 15:05podcasting strategy, your positioning, all of those sorts of things,
- 15:09and get the inside plan on how you can be a profitable podcast
- 15:13guest. Now that's because of our relationship
- 15:16and providing extended value beyond what
- 15:20we've got here, and it it just triggered
- 15:24something in my head. Those of you who are wanting
- 15:27to be a podcast guest, here's
- 15:31two sentences that are banned once people do our training. And
- 15:35I would guarantee, Yvonne, you've been to some of the same networking places
- 15:39as I have you have, you would have heard this over and over again.
- 15:44I am passionate about, and I can speak on
- 15:47this. Yes. Going to a host saying, I'm
- 15:51passionate about this, and I can speak on this is basically saying,
- 15:56sit down. Shut up. Give me a soapbox. Let me stand
- 16:00on it and preach to your people.
- 16:03So and that just flashed in because that's a big mistake that a lot of
- 16:06people make. And hosts, like, you would
- 16:10hear that over and over again, and it's like, well, if they're saying that, it's
- 16:14it's basically your podcast is all about me,
- 16:18and I'm gonna get up and preach.
- 16:22So that was one thing. So so is that two things in one, or is
- 16:25there a second thing? That was the two things in one. One was,
- 16:29your free gift. Never ever
- 16:33call it that. And and also pre,
- 16:36preempt what's coming up, which is what we just did. So,
- 16:40ideally, they'll be sticking around and making sure they get their hands on because they
- 16:44don't do it very often. It's just our relationship. And the other thing
- 16:47is don't preach. Here's here's the other thing,
- 16:51and this is this is maybe small of me. But when
- 16:55you tell me that you've done something special for me,
- 16:59I mean, it just makes me go, oh, you know, this is
- 17:02wonderful. I mean, you know, there's no reason you can't leave the
- 17:06podcast host feeling like they're special.
- 17:09So, you know, I I do appreciate that. And from my
- 17:13perspective, one of the things that I'm gonna do is when I put the podcast
- 17:17out, I'm gonna highlight that, Do you know?
- 17:20And say, this is like an amazing opportunity. You need to jump
- 17:24on this. Do you know? So I think that that
- 17:28is another part of that. And then the other thing that you said that I
- 17:31think is a lesson that we can learn is sometimes
- 17:35it doesn't matter the size of the list. I have
- 17:38people who have been affiliates, who have huge
- 17:42lists, who have had 50 to
- 17:4575 people sign up for a workshop, and not a
- 17:49single one showed up, and not a single one bought
- 17:52anything. I've had people who have personally referred two
- 17:56people. They both showed up, and one of them bought.
- 18:00So don't, you know, don't poo poo a small list
- 18:03because if it is responsive and if the right
- 18:07people are there, it can be a very powerful thing. And those
- 18:10people can introduce you to other people. You know, they will if they like what
- 18:14you do I mean, people I always laugh
- 18:17because one one of the weird things I say is I bought something for $2
- 18:21so I could get free shipping, and I threw it in a box. And when
- 18:25I finally used it, I was like, oh my god. This is amazing. I can't
- 18:29believe I live without this. I mean, and I told everybody. If you do
- 18:32that for something that's $2, right, imagine what
- 18:36you do with something of real value. And so
- 18:40people, when they like things, they tell other people about it.
- 18:44When they don't like it, they tell even more. Yeah.
- 18:48What what I'm going to I'm gonna jump on my coaching
- 18:52soapbox for about sixty seconds if that's okay.
- 18:55And the success that we teach
- 18:59is that there are three relationships in a
- 19:03podcast. There's a relationship between you and I, and we
- 19:07build a great relationship before we've got on camera. We've got that
- 19:10happening. There's a relationship between me and the
- 19:14audience, and three times already, I've actually spoken
- 19:17directly to the audience. Get your pen out, do this, and I'm pulling them
- 19:21in. Because a lot of people have an an interview
- 19:24conversation with the host, and the audience feels if their backs
- 19:28is turned to them. It's like, hey. We're over here. I was, oh,
- 19:32okay. But when you pull them in, you're giving them a surge
- 19:35of oxytocin. That that's the hug drug, the hug hormone,
- 19:39the sense of belonging, and that makes them feel good.
- 19:43The other one is the relationship between you, the host
- 19:47and the audience. And that's, I'm here because
- 19:50of you, they're here because of you. And it's my
- 19:55goal to elevate and edify you in front of
- 19:59your audience and to make you feel good, not just I
- 20:03am doing my job hosting and reading out some questions. And I had
- 20:07it. How do we have the happy hormones
- 20:10floating around the podcast so that everybody is feeling
- 20:14fantastic? And at the end of it, it was like, well, the lollies have
- 20:18been handed out. I'm feeling really good. What's next? So the
- 20:21comfort level of yeah. Sure. I'm gonna go
- 20:25and get Steve's guide. You know what? I reckon I can actually spend some
- 20:29time and get on a call with him because I felt good on the podcast.
- 20:33I might have a call. That's it's what I
- 20:36do because it's me. I love helping and interacting with people.
- 20:40But on a podcast business
- 20:44sense, it's what you should do to really pull
- 20:48all the people in and have them leaving feeling
- 20:52great, not just more knowledgeable.
- 20:55Yes. Yes. Because people need to trust you. I
- 20:59mean, they they they need to connect with you, and that's
- 21:02part of what I treat I I teach is learning your client's journey. The
- 21:06journey that you've been on that you're helping them through, you have to
- 21:10acknowledge that. And and one of the worst things you can do is be
- 21:13like, I have the answer. I'm perfect. I can you know? Because who wants
- 21:17to put up with that? It's like, I want somebody that
- 21:21makes mistakes like me. Do you know? I want them to be ahead of me,
- 21:25but I wanted them to be able to show me how to avoid the potholes.
- 21:29Right? And so that's when we were talking. I said to you, hey. This is
- 21:32live. There's a chance my dog is gonna bark, you know, because
- 21:36I'm a dog person. And, you know, things happen and and you deal with
- 21:40it the best you can, which which makes you seem like you're a real
- 21:44person. Right? Yeah. Let me let me tell you a real funny
- 21:47story very, very quickly. Quite a number of years ago, we had our
- 21:51own video studio set up at home. We did a lot of video marketing, and
- 21:55there was a guy that I really wanted to meet. He was one of the
- 21:57leading advertising guys, an absolute guru
- 22:01in his field, but he'd left and he was running his own workshops, and I
- 22:04wanted to meet him. So I emailed and said, hey. Listen,
- 22:08Glenn, would you like me to do an interview for you, a
- 22:12video interview to help you promote the workshop you're doing? Of
- 22:16course, he said, yes. So we got together, and he gave me a
- 22:2010 list of things that I had to cover in that order, and he
- 22:23turned up with a white shirt and tie. And I thought, you're
- 22:27from the advertising agencies or, you know,
- 22:31this is not what I'm expecting. And then we started, and I do all of
- 22:35my interviews in one take.
- 22:38And my wife was on the camera, and we got about sixty seconds into
- 22:42it. And I said, stop. I said, man, you are trying to
- 22:45sell people to come and spend ten days with you.
- 22:49They're not gonna finish the next ten minutes. Get the
- 22:53tie off, loosen up, let's have some fun, and
- 22:57let your personality out so they're buying you
- 23:01and that. And that's one of the things that people sorta, well, I need to
- 23:04be very professional. I know. Let them see you.
- 23:08And we're gonna say in this. It is your personality and passion, not
- 23:12perfection that produces profits. Write that one down.
- 23:16Personality and passion, not perfection. I like that.
- 23:20So so I had the same experience. I had one of my clients be
- 23:24my wingman on one of my webinars. And when we finished,
- 23:27she said, I don't know how to tell you this. And I was like, what?
- 23:31What? She said, the person that gave that webinar is not
- 23:35the coach that I love, the one that I work with every
- 23:39week. And I was like, oh, because I had it mapped out. I
- 23:43had it structured. I mean, which is absolutely the opposite of
- 23:46the way I normally work. You know? I'm kind of I'm
- 23:50not by the seat of my pants, but I'm I'm kinda loosey
- 23:54goosey. Mhmm. So I like to I like to take advantage of
- 23:57whatever learning moments there are and you know? So if you don't have
- 24:01a script, you can grab on anything you want. Right?
- 24:06Okay. We we so I wanna highlight
- 24:09the the the free gift, which is not just a freebie.
- 24:13It's not just something that you could just throw. It is
- 24:16something that has huge value. If you are thinking about
- 24:20using podcasting, guesting, to be a guest on a podcast,
- 24:24You have absolutely got to get this. And I know that
- 24:28that Steve has been successful at it. So I know that even if you
- 24:32just skim it, you're gonna come away with great value. And
- 24:36if you take the if you're serious about it, you will do more than just
- 24:39skim it. So, Steve, tell me
- 24:43a time tell me the last time when you did something new for the first
- 24:46time.
- 24:51Quite often, I'm doing lots of things new for the first time.
- 24:56I've been putting together back pocket
- 25:00guides because I've got nine bestsellers, and then I got
- 25:03lazy. I didn't wanna write another full book. What can
- 25:07I do? So I started writing the short, you know, like you guys are gonna
- 25:10get the back pocket guide, the art and science of becoming a 6 figure podcast
- 25:14guest. It's written in a way. It's all structured so that
- 25:17you can really get in, get some great value, but also,
- 25:21hey, come and connect. What I hadn't
- 25:25done is put it together
- 25:28so I could do that for other people. So in the last
- 25:32month, my son and I, who's my business partner in in work, we
- 25:36said, well, why don't we package this up so other people can write
- 25:39their own back pocket guide in their own niche in those sorts of
- 25:43things. So we've packaged it up, we've got our first clients, and we're
- 25:47doing what we're doing, we're building them under the brand. So
- 25:51that's doing something new for the first time. And
- 25:55it's something that we do all the time. And,
- 25:59I saw a great interview with a a guy
- 26:02who's been in the fitness industry. He sold over a billion dollars
- 26:06from, TV at infomercials
- 26:10on fitness equipment, one of the original,
- 26:14celebrity personal trainers, and he was interviewed by the great Dan
- 26:17Kennedy on one of his programs. And he said, well, what's
- 26:21the secret to longevity? He said
- 26:24constant metamorphosis, constant
- 26:28change. And every time we get to
- 26:32a point, it's like, well, okay. That's that. What's next? And
- 26:36here's the thing that you you guys at home may wanna think about instead
- 26:40of writing New Year's resolutions. As we set some
- 26:43goals every six months, then you
- 26:47can you can call them goals, aspirations, etcetera, New Year's resolutions,
- 26:51whatever you want at the beginning of the year. But here's the thing.
- 26:55We also write down who do I have to
- 26:58become to achieve those. Not what do I have to
- 27:02do, who do I have to become. So
- 27:05personal metamorphosis is
- 27:09something that doing new things and challenging and going in
- 27:13different directions is something that is not new.
- 27:17So doing new things is not new. But here here's the thing
- 27:21that I think sometimes people forget. If you're not
- 27:24growing, and growing requires that you change,
- 27:28you know, make changes and evolve. If you're not growing, you're
- 27:32stagnating. If you're stagnating, you're gonna be you're not gonna be relevant,
- 27:36and you're gonna be left behind. And so you
- 27:40I like rhyming, and here's one for you and your your
- 27:43audience. And I'll put the Aussie on it. If you ain't growing,
- 27:47you're slowing.
- 27:51I like that. I like that. We're running out of time. I have got to
- 27:55I I have got to, like, pull the the the, you know, the time range
- 27:59on us. So, I thought we had twenty four hours.
- 28:02Well, we do, but, you know That's okay. So
- 28:06so so here's the ad. I hope that you will
- 28:10subscribe and share this podcast on social media. And the
- 28:14reason I do this is to help grow the community, but
- 28:17to also give you some insights that you may not normally have run into
- 28:21on your own, bring you people that I have found interesting that have had an
- 28:25impact on me, and share them with you so that you can grow your business
- 28:29and so you're not slowing. So
- 28:32I hope you will join me again for the one small change and
- 28:36and include me in your journey as you're you're making these tiny shifts
- 28:40that are gonna yield monumental transformations. If you haven't
- 28:43done it yet, you should listen to the first episode where I'm talking about the
- 28:47podcast and why I'm doing it. So, Steve, you have given us a lot
- 28:51of quotable things. And so
- 28:55which one is gonna be your last words?
- 28:59Yeah. And the the the first thing is
- 29:05a lot of people wait to get things right. I I'll I'll do this when
- 29:08I get this right. I'll do this when I get this. And the great
- 29:12Michael Jordan had a saying that I I live by since I've ever heard
- 29:16it. Just elevate, decide in the air.
- 29:22Ah, good. Just you can't change direction if
- 29:26you're stationary. So you can only change direction if
- 29:29you're moving. So momentum is the key. So take the
- 29:33first step. Is it the right one? Is it the right direction? If it's not,
- 29:37change direction. But maintain momentum and
- 29:41be agile. Don't stop. Just be agile.
- 29:45And that's the biggest thing that I could, I could always do is
- 29:49just, like, get started, take that first step, get
- 29:52momentum, and then just change as you go.
- 29:56I love it. I love it. Okay, guys. We're out of time. And as I
- 30:00always say, remember change is simple, but it's not always easy. And
- 30:03that's because it requires resilience and courage
- 30:07and a willingness to step out of your comfort zone. So I hope you've got
- 30:11some information to help you with that, and I hope that you will
- 30:15join us on the one small change as we all continue
- 30:18our journey, for bold vision and
- 30:22innovative possibilities. So until the next time, stay
- 30:25curious. I'm Yvonne McCoy.
