- 0:20SPEAKER_00: I was like, dear God, what was I thinking?
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: I was like, oh, this'll be funny to own.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: They're so heavy and psychotic, and they're not cool.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Describe them for our listeners because they defy all possible explanations.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: They're Astroturf clogs from Delias.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: But but they're like platform clogs.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're so chubby and huge.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: And they're a size 11 female.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: They're they're about each size 11 female presenting.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: They're both the size of like a minivan individual.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're not cool.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: I was like stoned and thinking, like, oh my god, these are so funny.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: They're so funny.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you were like, I got studio shoes.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: Because I'm wearing, I forgot to change out of these.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: I was wearing my studio shoes, my blue Crocs.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: And you're like, oh, it'd be great.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Great to have something to uh uh to wear around the sh around the shop, and that's what you wind up bringing.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: I need an actual practical pair of studio shoes because turns out switching into platforms is in um it's great when you gotta hop up on a ladder.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's not they're not the best for that.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but whatever.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: You live and you learn.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: We all make mistakes.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: They're kind of iconic, they're amazing.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I would love to put a little like a couple daisies in there.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but then also I was just thinking you could also put like little Christmas ornaments on it for the holidays, too.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: This year I'm gonna go crazy for Christmas, I think.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: Now, what does that look like for you?
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: Flocked.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: White tree.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: I want a white tree.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: Comma flocked as fuck.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: Like really blasted with a blizzard.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: But we can't talk about Christmas some during our summer.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: No, we can't.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: Bungalow episodes.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: It's our bungalow, our bungalow collection.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: Uh no, we can't because this is the Big County Couch summer vacay.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: It's still summer vacay over here.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: I'm Ange Ballastone, aka That Girl Gina.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: And I'm Mike Fails, and uh, we're coming at you uh no drag, no rules.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: No AC either.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: It's a cute, uh, cute last step, and we're back at it again.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Mike's hearing is back after I foghorned.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: I was like, what?
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: I was like, oh yeah, I literally blocked it out because of the fear.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: That was again the most shocking thing that's ever happened to me in my entire life.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: It was so loud he got nauseous.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: Just kidding.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: I was no I literally did.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: I was like, am I gonna faint?
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: Like I my body got so like hyper and reactive.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: I was like, what's gonna fucking happen to me?
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: Like, of course I would faint from like noise.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: That's like where I'm at, like bodily and health-wise.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: That sums you up.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: He died because I was so loud he got nauseous, and of course, you know, he did.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: I said it on the You know what?
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: That was another mistake.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: But we're here.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: But we're here, we survived, we persevered, and we're back.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: We're back another another week.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: I kind of wearing.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: I know we don't do that.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: We're breaking all our rules, but I can't tell you that.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: It's against the rules.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: No, I'm wearing a um uh a blue to blue gradient shirt.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: It's kind of um uh bowling shirt cut.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Um It is bowling.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: You always look good in a bowling.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: Apparently, yeah.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: Um and then uh just some uh some some jean jean shorts.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: I just got my hair cut.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: Um nice! It does look really good.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: You're going a little mullety with it.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I said I want to baby mullet.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: No, I love my new barber.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: He's amazing.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: I you know, I uh stress cut my hair last night.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, right.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: You stress cut your hair last night.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: So I know the uh urge to um have a haircut before the shoot.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: And why what led you to this?
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: Because you're not typically the girl to grab a texturizing shear.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: If I'm high, I was smoking.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: I got drunk last night alone because I was painting my flower.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: And what is your flower, Angelo, for the rest of the year?
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: I'm just needing a Carrie Bradshow look, and I'm painting uh veins into the petals of a giant flower that I'm gonna wear as a boutonier on a dress.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: And it's giant, and I opened a huge can by painting fabric that's shiny, and it's making me go crazy.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: It's making me go crazy too.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: No, you I feel like you don't support the project.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: I don't support the project, Ange, because it's been like a calendar year.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: Not actually.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: When you log the hours, coming up.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: When you log the hours, it's not even hours that you've spent on it.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: Collectively, it's been about an hour.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I was painting my flower last night and I was drinking white claws because I'm trying to like drop a couple LBs, believe it or not, against my will.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: Um, and I was pounding those like seltzers because you know me, I gave up malt liquor.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: I was like, I'm not doing it.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: Well, you used to mix white cloth with liquor.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: And not tell the people I was serving that.
- 4:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't I don't malt liquor, but I was like, you know, I don't have nine beers.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: I don't have nine beers.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: That's like a realistic number.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: It's four?
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: Whatever.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, don't ask us.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, don't ask us.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: But just like lobbing nine in there.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: I'm like, don't have nine beers.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: It's like, buddy, don't have nine beers ever.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Ever, yeah.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Uh so you got drunk, you got high, and then you said this this.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: Then I grabbed my ponytail and I grabbed craft scissors and hacked off my ponytail.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: And unfortunately, it looks like it.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: I have um it's it's like the Playmobile.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Like little rounded and sculpted.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: I love Playmobil so much.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: I kind of do too.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: It's so feminine.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Why do you why did he say that?
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: Well, just because I feel like I grew up having a castle, which um there was like that was like four boys, but like there were a lot of princess narratives going on in my set.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: But Legos, I feel like, were for boys, and I feel like Playmobil was like simpler, play simplified for babies, yeah, for women.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: Like they dumbed it down for us girls.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: But I just love Playmobil so much.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: I always loved like uh some of them would have like a helmet, but then they have like a couple little triangles of hair poking out the back of their necks.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: You remember that?
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: That always like intrigued me.
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: I was like, ooh, there's a whole world here.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: Beneath this helmet.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: Well, like the kid Playmobiles had a smooth hair piece.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: Like the adults all had that clicky one that was sort of Lego but dumber.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: But the kids have the smooth, round, flippy, and this is what this is.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: The smooth round flippy.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: They had like they just hinged at the waist, right?
- 6:25SPEAKER_01: That was actually the way it clicked down, it was very satisfying.
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: It was like a soft but firm click.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: Why were you bending over all your paymobiles?
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: Well, they had to ride in the car.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: Like, bend it over.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: You should see my castlescape.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: It's really nice.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: It's preserved.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, behind glass.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: Your parents were they were like, there's something really special going on here.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Because over the years, you can uh they only make so many castle, like Kutramants, but uh it got like Temple, Egyptian at one point.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: Like these are just extra playsets that you added to the mix?
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, to like the land.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: Still with it all within castle.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: I'd love to know the story for all those.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: It got temple, hidden temple.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Cause like what else do you have?
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: It got like evil tower.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: What else?
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: Lagoon.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: The speed at which you're delivering the story and the energy level is and also the content of what you're saying.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: My child toy set.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: Got Evil Tower.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: Lagoon, there was a ship.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: It's like, is everything okay?
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: No.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: I I got drunk alone and cut all my hair off last night.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: I would say everything's not okay.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: Also, with this character with this look, which is giving full like brose.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: Is it?
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: Well, minus the shoes.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: I know, bro, brocation.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: Brocation, yeah.
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: Our new show.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: Although, but you're is you're kind of in like head-to-toe, no, not head-to-toe.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: You're in shirt and pant designer.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: Isn't that mosquito?
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: Oh, it is, actually.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: Wow, you're good.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: The shirt is classic ange.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: It's giving Kool-Aid like oh a smiley face right on my belly.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Kool-Aid vibes.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: Uh, but it is Mosquino, upside down smiley, and this is signature Ange.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: And this was um before the upside down emoji.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: Oh, wow.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: You know, I would never buy this post-Upside down emoji.
- 8:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:15SPEAKER_01: I feel like he probably wouldn't make it post upside down emoji.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: Probably not.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: So I thought it was so fun and cool.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: Been wearing it for years.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: It's my Sig.
- 8:24SPEAKER_00: But it needs to go, I think.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: It has a hole, and I think it's time to like go.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: You could easily fix that though.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: I know, but like letting go.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: I feel like a lot of my clothes like I'm are getting ruined in a way that's like positive.
- 8:36SPEAKER_01: I don't know what that means.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: But it means like mental health precious with everything.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: And it's a fine line between um being depressive.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: Precious and depressive?
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: The line between precious and depressive.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: Or being less precious and letting go.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: I would think it'd be precious and obsessive.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: What's depressive about keeping old clothes?
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: I guess.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: Letting go too much.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: It's uh can become like, are you depressed?
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: It's good for me to let go, let go, let go, until the point where it's like, do you have any like will to live?
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: Because don't let that go.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, hold on to that one.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: For at least the middle of my life.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: My bathing suit is Paul Smith in the shade Sour Cheetah.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: Which anything that is a blue cheetah I call sour cheetah.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: Because one time when I was straight, I bought um a neon blue and green cheetah jumpsuit just in case.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: You know, in like that phase of like, I'm gonna I'm gonna buy this dress because it's eight dollars.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: Uh there's gotta be.
- 9:34SPEAKER_01: You and I just you and I know that phase, yeah.
- 9:37SPEAKER_01: But the uh listeners, watchers, uh, do y'all know that phase?
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: If your son's doing that, you're fucked.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Um I was like, how can I pass it up?
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: It's eight dollars.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: No, we we did used to have a collector's mindset where we would see things out in the world and be like, well, I'll have I'm sure we'll find a use for that somewhere.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: And then most often it never got uh used or seen.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: It didn't play.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: The sour cheetah didn't play.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: But this does.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: I kind of hate Paul Smith.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, I love it.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: It's so so chic, but it gets a little like the gaze go hard with the Paul Smith.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm wearing.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: I was gonna wear a necklace, but it didn't wear it work, yeah.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: And playmobile.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: Mom cut.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: It's giving mom.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: It's kind of with this hat on, which like I'll take my hat off because I didn't cut off all my hair, people.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: I didn't like it.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: To say like I I had a weird night with scissors and then have a half of the first time ever is a little Yeah, you look like nothing has changed, to be honest.
- 10:29SPEAKER_01: It's just the length of the back.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: I was like, why do you have my haircut from the beginning of the the pie?
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: I'm coming for you, Chloe.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: What was I saying?
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: The will to live?
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: Rapidly lost.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: Lost it.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: Well, I am in a let go phase.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: But I had these Pyrex bowls that are pink and in mint condition.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: It's the full set, uh-huh.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: Which is really rare to find the pink ones in mint condition in nature.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: You don't find you know, it's hard.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: So I had those and I love them, and I they were always hand wash, but as you all know, I live the roommate now.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: And it's like choose your battles, kinda like, I'm not gonna tell her to like hand wash these.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: Bulls are meant to be used, Ange.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: Let it go, let it go, let it go.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: But sure enough, they're they're ruined.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: How badly they're not ruined, they're just like they're faded, and like when you wash Pyrex like that, it get they get kind of scuffy and fady and matte.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: Which is fine.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: Ultimately, I think that's on the side of the good, still good for me.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: Versus like, oh.
- 11:32SPEAKER_01: I'm about to make an argument for like no, that's bad.
- 11:35SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: Well, I know.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: I do I miss my mint conditioned pink pyrex set?
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: But is it only actually like$400 somewhere on Etsy?
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: So it's not that rare.
- 11:46SPEAKER_01: I mean, I guess you could probably replace it.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: It's not that rare.
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: It's like, get over yourself, sweetie.
- 11:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:49SPEAKER_01: And I guess if the replays are being used, like, did you ever use them?
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: I did.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: And I hand washed them.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: Sort of.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: What did you make?
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: And I just would dump a cob salad in them.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: I didn't make anything.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: I just used a mixed.
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: It's just a bowl set.
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: Choose your own bowl adventure.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: Well, anything you want.
- 12:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 12:14SPEAKER_00: Huh.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: And like speaking of which.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: Let's smoke that bowl.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: Yes, we do have a bowl packed with brand new topics from all of our season one cunts.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: Every guest on the couch gave us uh one or several topics for us to um pull from.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: I can't call it them cunts because it becomes punks the movie.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: What's punks the movie?
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: It was like a Disney movie.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: With Jessica Alba.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: One of the worst actress actresses of all time.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: Cunts.
- 12:45SPEAKER_01: Um cunts.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: I'm always like, if like the the the wrong way.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: I'm like, is it pillow humpers or is it couch surfers?
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: Like those would be like the two annoying like names for the fans.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: Like, hey couch surfers, new episode coming next week.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: It's like cunt Suelos.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: Couch surfers, absolutely not.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: Absolutely not.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: Pillow humpers.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: That's worse.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: Pillow biters?
- 13:09SPEAKER_01: Ooh.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: Um.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: Hey pillow biters.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: It's giving like iCarla.
- 13:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 13:17SPEAKER_01: I mean, they're both terrible and not real and not good.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: This bathing suit does give you a floating wiener, though, because it has a baked-in net.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: Love that.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: I know a lot of people don't.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: I don't mind the baked in net.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: Ham actually.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: I need the net.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: I need the net.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: We need the support.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: But it does sometimes give you floating wiener, which is the the the generation of bathing suits that didn't have nets in them.
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: I I want to say it's like homophobic.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: I want to say you don't want fucking something touching your dick.
- 13:44SPEAKER_01: That's fucking gay.
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: I don't think that the Nets were not gay.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: The Nets are gay.
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: I feel like that's what guys thought, and that's why they asked to get rid of them.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: Put it to the label whore.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: Because straight guys were like, get that fucking thing away from me.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: I need get me some board shorts.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: Stat.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: And then what would they do?
- 14:02SPEAKER_01: I thought it was the industry listening.
- 14:04SPEAKER_01: Then they put boxer briefs on underneath it.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: So it's like, what are you wearing under there, hon?
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: Support?
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: You need support.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: They didn't want the net.
- 14:12SPEAKER_01: I thought it was like you spoke and we listened.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: That may very well be the case, but who was speaking?
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: The bros.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: The bros.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: Not the fags.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: I thought it was young to like have no net.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: But yeah, you need something underneath.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: It's like, why would you want wet underwear?
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: Weird.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: My kids are gonna all be in wet suits.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: It's like, okay, cool fam.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: Rash guard.
- 14:38SPEAKER_01: Um we uh we hung out last week.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: Um you came to my place.
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: I did.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: Shocking.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: Shocking.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: I never have people over.
- 14:48SPEAKER_01: And then we wound up watching Don't say it.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: Harry Potter 7-2.
- 14:52SPEAKER_01: Because you got the urge.
- 14:53SPEAKER_01: It was perfect background uh fodder, but I just kept thinking it's like JK Rowling is the is so fucking stupid.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: She is the worst.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: She's a dumb bitch who needs her asshole swizzled.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: I don't know what that means.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: But it involves with the elder wand.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: It involves a high-speed tongue.
- 15:13SPEAKER_01: She is uh I'm I'm calling her a dumbass based off of like both the content of the movie, for one, but then also just her behavior in recent times.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I hope.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: She she got hit with a lawsuit, her and Elon for a defamation of the Olympian, and I hope she loses a ton of money.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Iman Khaliz.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: She's this fucking disgusting bully-ass bitch.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: Belongs in an asylum.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: Send her to Azkaban.
- 15:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she needs to be locked up magically.
- 15:42SPEAKER_01: If it feels like things have gotten crazier and worse, where it's just like, okay, so you can just say literally anything, and there is there are no consequences.
- 15:51SPEAKER_01: I mean, hopefully there will be consequences.
- 15:52SPEAKER_01: I hope she fucking sues them.
- 15:53SPEAKER_01: She'll be paying to fill out the booty hole.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: Anyway, that's the politics hour.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: Um the politics hour.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: Oh, you got a new car to be able to talk about that?
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we I did tell you my car, but it arrived.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: I brought it to New York.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: And now I was like, it's in the color ceramic, as you all know.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: Which is weird.
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: So I love how you always preference everything with as you all know.
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: It's like Yeah, I'm histrionic.
- 16:19SPEAKER_01: Very confident that people are latching onto that that's a good idea.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: I'm histrionic.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: Everything I do and say I think has like way more weight and meaning and importance in everyone's lives.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: It's sad.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: It's you're like a narcissist, but you care about people.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: But um, anyways, so the current names are Elise, because it's Elise.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, a leased car.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but just French.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: E-L-I-S-E.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: Concretia.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: Because it does look more concrete than ceramic.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: Definitely.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: But then I think it's like as I sort of landed on yesterday, it was Sandra Tacup, unfortunately.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: Because it's sand and then ceramic, and it just kind of came out and it's not cool.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: But I think my car's name is Sandra T Cup.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: I think it's Sandra T Cup, unfortunately.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: It needs to be not cool.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Like, so it's with on brand within my life.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: My uncool life.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: Sandra, there's something like not okay.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: Not okay.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: That's Sandra Tup.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's not okay as a grown man to name your car Sandra.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: 100% that is not okay, but there's something not okay with Sandra Tacup, the woman.
- 17:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Sandra Tacup.
- 17:25SPEAKER_01: You don't want to know.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: It's like there's a smell issue.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think that's what that's what you're getting first.
- 17:31SPEAKER_01: And then there's a lot of other stuff.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: It's like Sandra Tacup, wash your clothes.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: For once.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: So yeah, that's the name of my car, I think.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: But it's here and queer, and I have Apple CarPlay.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's cool.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm in the 21st century.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: I was driving like a fucking 2006 Mercedes.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: As you all know.
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: They all know that.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: Come on.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: No, the Mercedes was famous.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: No, it's so funny because you got a new car, my sister got a new car.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: I'm like very recently I've been struck with the realization that my car is fucking old.
- 18:05SPEAKER_01: I thought your car was literally like a 2001 and feels like it.
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: It's a 2011.
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: But at that at this point in time, that's how it was like the base most basic fucking model from 2011 possible.
- 18:16SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 18:17SPEAKER_01: Isn't that doesn't it doesn't feel that way?
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: No.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: I guess mine ultimately did feel a little more analog in that it has like a had like the sale.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: Like analog numeral clock instead of a digital clock.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: It didn't, my car didn't have digital time.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: It had an analog clock?
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because it was like classy.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: Wood interior.
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: But no like mini bar.
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: It should have had a there must have been a digital clock in there somewhere.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: Couldn't find it.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: I tried.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: A lot of buttons.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: How you learned how to tell time.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: A lot of fucking buttons.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: Why do like luxury retailers think like more kick bells and whistles is luxury?
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't understand.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: Like to me, luxury would be as simple as possible.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: But even in my new car, there's too many gadgets.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I don't need this.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna drive off the road actually and trying to find where you decided to like put the cup holder now.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: Cause it's like in a weird spot.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: And the volume's in a weird spot.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: It's like, guys, what are we doing here?
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: Are we just bored?
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: It's ridiculous.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: Mine even has the I'm not a big fan of Keyless entry, but whatever, you have to have Keyless entry.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: They don't even offer the other way around now.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: But um mine locked and unlocks when like you sneeze.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: Walk up to the car, which I don't like because that messes with my OCD.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: Because like one time it like didn't do that, and I'm like, I can't fully trust this.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: But if you like touch the fob earlier in the day, you're you can like unlock your car without the fob.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: It's like that line.
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: It's like the that I I don't need all those extra bells and whistles, but I do need like Teslas to have like one more bell and whistle, you know?
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: Like I would every once in a while when I get like a Tesla to pick me up in like an Uber or whatever.
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: It's always like where is the fucking button for the door handle?
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: It's like couldn't it just be a handle?
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: Like, or I don't know.
- 20:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I yeah, it's a it's a button.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: It's a button to open the door.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: It's awful.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: I think we talked about this.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: I think we think we have to, yeah.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: Oh, because last time I rode one, I think I said it on the pod that it had jet black tinted windows, and the guy wasn't rolling down his window.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: I'm like, you're gonna have to like crack it and say, like, Uber.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like what do you want me to do?
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to see who is in here.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: But whatever.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: Anyway, yeah.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: Cars, am I right?
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: Cars.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: Autumnus driving, am I right?
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: Autonomous?
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: Sounds like you said autumnus driving, like Mr.
- 20:47SPEAKER_01: Tumnus.
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: Autonomous.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: He's trying to sound smart.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: Autumnus drive.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: Autumn autumnal driving.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: Am I right?
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: Got to be like in a pumpkin.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: We're going big for the holidays.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, we are.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: 14 Christmas trees in here.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's gonna be a white pumpkin Halloween.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: Ooh, uh no.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: No, never.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: I don't like that.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: Maybe so.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: I like a classic pumpkin.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: White pumpkin is so like middle school.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: It's like white pumpkin is so like McMansion.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: There's a time to put you can do a white pumpkin scape ride.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: I'm sure.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: And it's all in my book.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: I'm like which is available on Amazon.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: Moms, though, if your son is eyeing the white pumpkin aisle.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: Keep an eye on him.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, not good.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: Only worse things to come.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: We'll be right back.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: That was very tune in tonight.
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: Okay, be right back.
- 21:58SPEAKER_01: We're back.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: We're back on the big hunty couch.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: Not on the big hunty couch.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: We're on it.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: We're back on the big hunty couch.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: Uh and it's summer vacay.
- 22:07SPEAKER_01: And uh you look sweaty.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: No, you don't actually.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: You look kind of um satiny.
- 22:13SPEAKER_01: That is.
- 22:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like a little a little bit of do, but not that much.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: Nice.
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: Also, for some reason, if this is randomly like the first time you've ever listened to us or watched us, typically Angelo is in drag.
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: Uh so there's a whole lot more going on during the main season.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: This is the off-season.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: And uh we're giving you off-season energy, but we are.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: If but sometimes people want that.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: They can relate, they can cozy up to our in nothingness.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:39SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 22:40SPEAKER_02: We're hope here's open.
- 22:43SPEAKER_01: Oh, I keep wanting to replace your uh mic cover with a fresh one because yours is covered with like foundation and like because it's a beauty blender?
- 22:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, somebody was like, we okay, I'm a billionaire.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: Sophie, we should be billionaires.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: Oh, right.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: This is what we were talking about at uh I should have put that in the fucking bowl.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, when we were hanging out with the giraffe.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: You brought up Sophie the giraffe.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: And I said I like to pretend to be the heiress to the Sophie fortune.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: If you if there's an infant in your life, you know who Sophie is.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: If you know an infant, you know Sophie.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: You really do.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: You should, except you.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: Um I forgot.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: I forgot.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: But give you that.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: In my mind, she was like Sophie is a giraffe, a chew toy for um you call maybe it's a teething toy.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean it's a chew toy.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: But Sophie, it's so annoying because like every baby, they're really popular.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: Babies love Sophie, the giraffe.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: For whatever reason.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: And it's about$30, and like every single baby's getting gifted a Sophie no matter what.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: Because people race to get the Sophie because it's like a guaranteed hit.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: I'm just my point is that like whoever invented Sophie got lucky.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: Because it's a fluke.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: It's like there's no science behind why your product works.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: It just the giraffe shape doesn't speak to like the baby's mobility or anything.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: It just is like, yeah, the noise is a good thing.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: But I want to hear Ted talks about why it's successful.
- 24:05SPEAKER_00: But you know what I mean?
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: That's that's like a wow, we had a fluke product that blew the fuck up, and now you like we speak about it.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: That's like it'd be so chic and fun behind it.
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: If they only had the one thing, you know what I mean?
- 24:17SPEAKER_01: Like if they were like I mean, I'm imagining I'm sure they would have like books and and uh onesies and cuppies, and I'm sure they have everything, but it's like it'd be chic.
- 24:25SPEAKER_01: It'd be fucking chic if they were like, we just make the giraffe.
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: We get we realize we have a hit product on our hands, there's no need to span the line.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: No one needs the picture book of like Sophie goes to Coney Island.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: Sophie rides the Wonder Wheel.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: Enough of that chew toy.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: That dumb bitch.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: Well, we should have we should have invented that.
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: Like it could have been anyone.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: They got lucky.
- 24:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right place, right time, right giraffe.
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: Um anyway, yeah, we have a fresh bowl of topics from our every one of our previous guests so graciously donated um some summer or not summer related things to uh to get about.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: And who were the original three?
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: Three uh you said Drew.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: Drew, Steph, and Greg.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: Submitted with no follow-up needed.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: So they are golden walk-off status.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: They're golden walk-off status.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: Okay, good to know.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: I don't know what that means.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: But it doesn't matter, we'll figure it out.
- 25:23SPEAKER_00: They get to walk they get to partake in the golden walk-off.
- 25:27SPEAKER_01: But first, with they puts them into the into the bracket ahead of uh the other competitors.
- 25:33SPEAKER_01: Because we're make we're forcing the previous guests to compete, I'm assuming, in the walk-off.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: I don't know who else is gonna be allowed at the walk-off, but I mean I allowed the walk-off.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: No, no.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: You three are golden walk-off status.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: We'll get back to you on what that all means.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: Tune in next time.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: But hey, I'd probably need a follow-up to get me to do anything.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: So usually not I'm not mad at everyone else.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: You're just not golden walk-off.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: Unfortunately.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: Why don't you start?
- 26:04SPEAKER_01: Alright, I got one.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: I'm scared.
- 26:07SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: Watch it be from me.
- 26:10SPEAKER_01: That's from me.
- 26:11SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: My topic that I put in the bowl is Christmas in July.
- 26:16SPEAKER_01: Do you think that Christmas is all year round?
- 26:18SPEAKER_01: Like, is that a belief that you that you hold?
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: No.
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: I don't have I don't hold that belief either.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: You know, I I do believe there is the Christmas season begins the day after Thanksgiving.
- 26:32SPEAKER_01: For me.
- 26:32SPEAKER_01: To me, that's a little early.
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: No.
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: You just finish Thanksgiving.
- 26:35SPEAKER_01: You don't want a little break?
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: Black Friday.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: When even is Black Friday anymore?
- 26:38SPEAKER_01: I feel like there's like a Friday after the But it's like there's like a pre-Black Friday.
- 26:41SPEAKER_01: There's Cyber Monday, there's like posty.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: There's like a Black Friday.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: Actually, we're doing it on Black Friday.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: We're doing Black Friday again.
- 26:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 26:47SPEAKER_00: In a shocking twist of events, all the sales get extended beyond Cyber Monday somehow.
- 26:53SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: Did I pull a topic?
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: I thought this would be something you'd be so interested in talking about.
- 26:58SPEAKER_01: I just thought, you mean I know you love Christmas, so I thought there'd be more things that you wanted to see.
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: I'm going crazy with Christmas.
- 27:04SPEAKER_00: I told you flocked.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: Flocked tree boots?
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: No, flocked boots.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: Like down.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: This house?
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: But there'll be boots.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: There'll be a bootscape.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: There'll be a Santa bootscape.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: A collection of Santa's boots from like a baby on.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: That's like a weird installation at my house.
- 27:21SPEAKER_01: My uh all his previous suits.
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: I ever tell you the story.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: My parents did like a thing one Christmas.
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: They were like, look, Santa left footprints all the way from the from the fireplace to the tree and back.
- 27:33SPEAKER_01: And you're like, Santa wears sketches in dad's side.
- 27:36SPEAKER_01: But I I think they got the they did it wrong.
- 27:40SPEAKER_01: And rather than doing like the negative space around a foot, they did the the inside.
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: And I remember I feel like I remember being like, why did he get Oh yeah?
- 27:49SPEAKER_01: Why why does he have snow on every footstep?
- 27:52SPEAKER_01: I'm like, that's that seems a little weird.
- 27:54SPEAKER_01: And why is a snow baby powder?
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: I was like, this is and why does it trail all the way into dad's bathroom?
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: My parents did that once with the Easter bunny.
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: You know, the huge rabbit you're supposed to believe comes in your house.
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: He thought he was huge?
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: You thought he was like mascot sized?
- 28:10SPEAKER_01: Did you think it was regular rabbit sized?
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: I thought he was like maybe like four feet tall, three feet tall.
- 28:15SPEAKER_01: Interesting.
- 28:16SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah.
- 28:16SPEAKER_01: Cartoon.
- 28:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: But when you think about it too hard, it starts to get bizarre.
- 28:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the Easter bunny is one of the that's where they lose it.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: Um, but they did the powdered bunny prints.
- 28:29SPEAKER_01: Because it was to find the because it's still snowy in incause he's got a powdery foot.
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: Always.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's a great question.
- 28:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 28:38SPEAKER_01: See?
- 28:39SPEAKER_01: It's like that's the thing.
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: It's like you gotta be careful.
- 28:41SPEAKER_01: If your kids are a little too detail-oriented, the whole you know, illusion falls apart.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: I've always wanted to do a gingerbread like chateau.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: Isn't that stupid?
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: Like piped.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: Really detail, like tons of detail.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: Well, that'd be so fun.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: But don't you feel sometimes when you get into that high level of uh like food-based craft, it it just starts to become like everything is wrapped around Rice Krispie Treat, and it's all like there's sticks and a lot of like there's a lot of infrastructure going on where it doesn't feel like it's actually a gingerbread house.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: It's more of like a Well, not a mine.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: Mine's full gingerbread.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: Okay, all right.
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: And it's just piped with like royal icing.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: And like maybe there's a little candy accent.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: It gets too much.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: It gets too like a mom hit up the dollar store.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you can't use every you shouldn't use every candy.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: A gingerbread house is not a candy house.
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: No, it shouldn't be.
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: I just want classic ginger with tons of detail.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: Just me in a piping bag and a wish.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: A dream.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: It's not a prayer.
- 29:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: Me in a piping bag.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: You're like, close the doors.
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: I'm piping.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: I'm laying piped bricks.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: Anyways.
- 29:51SPEAKER_01: Anyways, boom.
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: Outdoor nudity.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: Nude beaches.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: Misha.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: Ooh, episode one, Legend, Misha Townsend.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for this submission.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: Well, this is Misha's second submission.
- 30:03SPEAKER_01: Oh, because the other one in there?
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: I think it I think it is.
- 30:07SPEAKER_01: Huh.
- 30:07SPEAKER_01: I can't remember.
- 30:08SPEAKER_01: Should we should we blow up a spot now or should we just get into it?
- 30:11SPEAKER_01: Just blow up a spot.
- 30:11SPEAKER_01: Well, okay, so Misha, Misha, I'm blowing up your spot because you're our bestie.
- 30:15SPEAKER_01: Misha sent in an email and it just was two words.
- 30:19SPEAKER_01: Outdoor bars was his original topic.
- 30:22SPEAKER_01: What about him?
- 30:22SPEAKER_01: But then he quickly followed up with an dot ha dot or nudity and nude beaches.
- 30:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: Because I think he's a big thing.
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: But everyone was getting mad.
- 30:30SPEAKER_00: Like the topic, the prompt was way too broad.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: It's crazy to be like, just submit, can you submit a topic for a fishbowl?
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: They're like, what the fuck are you talking about?
- 30:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Julio was like, uh, can I ask what a fishbowl topic is?
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: I'm like, uh No, you can't ask that, actually.
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: Um Well, I do have one I do have one thing to say about an outdoor bar.
- 30:52SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 30:52SPEAKER_01: Like, I think there's a type of outdoor bar where it's like all picnic tables that is like very like hetero, like in the sense that like they really think they're doing something.
- 31:02SPEAKER_01: Like beer garden vibes.
- 31:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: Like they're nothing is straighter than a beer garden.
- 31:06SPEAKER_01: The straits love to like spend uh like a mid-afternoon at a beer garden and really feel like they've accessed culture.
- 31:14SPEAKER_01: Um when in reality it's just like unfinished pine that they're um sitting on accessing splinters in their ass.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: Anyways, outdoor nude beaches.
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: I think outdoor nudity outdoor nude nude beaches.
- 31:28SPEAKER_01: That's fun.
- 31:29SPEAKER_01: I've never been to a nude beach.
- 31:31SPEAKER_01: I've been nude on Fire Island and I've been nude uh in Provincetown.
- 31:34SPEAKER_01: Never been to Gunnison, but I want to go.
- 31:36SPEAKER_01: What's that?
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: Um it's a nude beach in Jersey.
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: Ooh.
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: But there's a difference between gay beaches and nude beaches.
- 31:46SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 31:46SPEAKER_01: Nude beaches often are incredibly strict about anything sexual going on.
- 31:50SPEAKER_01: Gotcha.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: And it's and you don't want it.
- 31:52SPEAKER_00: It's not, it's just bodies.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because also sometimes to get like, you know, it's very like RIZY figure drawing model.
- 31:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 31:58SPEAKER_01: Like, hey, cool.
- 31:59SPEAKER_01: We're here to be nude and the human body's beautiful.
- 32:01SPEAKER_01: And then the other one is we're here to be nude and suck and fuck.
- 32:05SPEAKER_01: Um I think public nudity or like nude spaces are fun and cool and like healthy, but it you obviously like bring a lot of like your baggage to the place.
- 32:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 32:17SPEAKER_01: And I think like I always try to remember that like even if I don't feel the best about like the way that I look, like I might be serving a flavor that someone loves to eat.
- 32:27SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 32:28SPEAKER_00: So Yeah, I feel like I'm a uh again, as you all know, I'm a grower, not a shower.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: So I feel like I'd maybe get like a little subconch if I was well that's not that's me too.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: I'm a grower not a shower, also.
- 32:39SPEAKER_01: But I I feel like it's it'd be weirder, it's it's it's like hotter, cooler, and more confident to walk around with a little thumb dick than it is to like be like nervously constantly fluffing and like walking around and like being nervous, you know what I mean?
- 32:52SPEAKER_00: I'm learning to love my bodticelli dick.
- 32:56SPEAKER_01: A ball on a mound of pubes.
- 32:58SPEAKER_01: I mean you're you continue to describe your like you're like it's like a snow cone made of hair with a little worm on the top.
- 33:04SPEAKER_01: What's your penis like?
- 33:05SPEAKER_01: What's your penis like?
- 33:06SPEAKER_01: What's your experience with um outdoor nudity?
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: I've never really done it.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah other than streaking in Providence with you.
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 33:14SPEAKER_01: God in college.
- 33:16SPEAKER_01: We might have to save that for cat hap, yeah.
- 33:19SPEAKER_01: I guess.
- 33:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we went streaking.
- 33:21SPEAKER_01: We went streaking uh truly in like a what are you doing kind of way.
- 33:26SPEAKER_01: And the cops become drunk and I thought I hid behind like a tree.
- 33:30SPEAKER_01: You hid behind me.
- 33:31SPEAKER_01: Oh tree.
- 33:32SPEAKER_01: There's a fo Cat has a photo of it.
- 33:33SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 33:34SPEAKER_00: You're literally trying to hide behind my naked body, but you're also participating in like concealing, thinking like it was a successful plan.
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: Then we got arrested.
- 33:44SPEAKER_00: No, we didn't.
- 33:45SPEAKER_01: The cops were like, What did you do?
- 33:47SPEAKER_01: Lose your clothes.
- 33:48SPEAKER_01: I think because like Kat was with us, they were like, What the fuck is this?
- 33:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:52SPEAKER_01: She had her badge on her.
- 33:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: Have I been naked anywhere else?
- 33:58SPEAKER_00: I do like naked times though.
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: Remember, you get you get naked a lot.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:03SPEAKER_01: There's uh that like one graduation party at Misha's apartment.
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: Oh God.
- 34:07SPEAKER_00: You just like got naked for no reason.
- 34:08SPEAKER_01: Where it was like you, me, Kat, and Misha, and and you, me, Kat, and Misha, and like maybe like Alex, or like it was just like, what are you, Ange, what are you doing?
- 34:16SPEAKER_01: And that's when we were all were like, oh, it's so it's like, wow, you're uncut.
- 34:18SPEAKER_01: And you're like, no, I'm not.
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: Or like what?
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: We all could have sworn.
- 34:22SPEAKER_00: I know it's because it's because my dickhead is the same color as my balls.
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: It's really annoying.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: Uniform, yeah.
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: Just that.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: So when you look at it, it looks topped.
- 34:33SPEAKER_01: It was so funny because I feel like I had side texted Kat being like, What a crazy night.
- 34:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so funny Andrew's naked.
- 34:40SPEAKER_01: And we're both like, it's so weird that he's uncut.
- 34:41SPEAKER_01: And she's like, Yeah, lol.
- 34:42SPEAKER_01: And then like, I think we said it like in the group chat, and you were like, What?
- 34:46SPEAKER_01: You're like, No, I'm not.
- 34:47SPEAKER_01: Oh my God, I wish.
- 34:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:50SPEAKER_00: Now I would really want that.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: That's so funny.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: But I probably was freaking out.
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm cut.
- 34:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:57SPEAKER_01: And we were like, it didn't seem that way, but sure, whatever you say, it's monochromatic.
- 35:02SPEAKER_01: Get used to it.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: Okay, I'm pulling.
- 35:05SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 35:07SPEAKER_01: This is from Richard Perez.
- 35:09SPEAKER_01: Woo! Uh, docking city bikes.
- 35:13SPEAKER_01: Docking?
- 35:13SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: Not that kind of docking.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: Um, I will say they the way that they make the little like dock, little parking lot situation, you cannot cross through them.
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: Have you ever had to like walk through city bikes?
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: Yes, you can not get through them.
- 35:31SPEAKER_00: Crazy.
- 35:31SPEAKER_00: Why do they do that?
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: It's like you think like, oh, I'll just turn sideways.
- 35:34SPEAKER_01: You're like, what the f yeah, I've gotten trapped in a city bike dock?
- 35:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:38SPEAKER_01: In the dock.
- 35:39SPEAKER_01: In the dock, yeah.
- 35:40SPEAKER_01: They're crazy.
- 35:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: You really gotta walk around the whole thing.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: Um, I've never ridden a city bike.
- 35:45SPEAKER_00: Me either.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: I once um there was a glitch in like the app.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: And Josh Sharp actually uh told Pat about this or spread the word that like you could sign up and get a whole year for like five dollars, and it was true, but then it fell apart when they're gonna be like everyone was like, What the hell?
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: Or get out the glitch wasn't real, yeah.
- 36:07SPEAKER_00: Or just they'd be like, We can't give you this.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: That's all I know.
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: So I had it, then I had to cancel it because it wasn't free anymore.
- 36:14SPEAKER_01: I kind of don't like that they don't give you helmets.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: How would they do that?
- 36:19SPEAKER_01: I don't know, put in a hatch in the back, yeah.
- 36:21SPEAKER_01: Little cat little can little shelf.
- 36:23SPEAKER_00: And it's like head sanitation.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 36:26SPEAKER_00: The scooters are scooters are more fun, but New York they don't have scooters.
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: But I visited Alicia who lives in San Diego.
- 36:32SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: Um, who just Oh my god, the story.
- 36:35SPEAKER_01: I think it's been on my list to remind you to tell my story.
- 36:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: They all use Bird, which is like an electric scooter.
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: And um, I visited on a whim, and I think she had work or something, and was like, just uh she told me where like a dispensary was to check out, and I did check it out on a bird.
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: I just put it in my GPS and it looked like a normal route, but I ended up on the fucking freeway.
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: It was so scary.
- 36:59SPEAKER_00: She was like, You went there on a bird, like, oops, like when you were gonna getting on the ramp, did you start option?
- 37:06SPEAKER_01: Did you think that it started to feel a little bit wrong?
- 37:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it did.
- 37:10SPEAKER_01: I was shitting my pants.
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: It was so awful.
- 37:13SPEAKER_01: When did you realize that you had made a huge mistake?
- 37:15SPEAKER_00: When I was uh getting run down by trailers, yeah.
- 37:22SPEAKER_00: A funeral fleet?
- 37:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, literally.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: I was like, I know! Stop beeping at me.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: I shouldn't be here.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: I'm nervous.
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: Like, I didn't need more.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: I people were telling me, like, get off the highway.
- 37:36SPEAKER_00: Like, what are you doing?
- 37:38SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 37:38SPEAKER_00: Guess who knows they're on the highway?
- 37:40SPEAKER_00: Me, the bird.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: And did you like how many exits did you have to go?
- 37:44SPEAKER_00: I with a sweaty blur.
- 37:47SPEAKER_00: Kind of like right now.
- 37:48SPEAKER_00: But I got there and I got my weed.
- 37:50SPEAKER_00: And how did you go back?
- 37:51SPEAKER_00: No, I didn't go back.
- 37:53SPEAKER_00: I took a car.
- 37:55SPEAKER_00: I'm never going on one of those things again.
- 37:58SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: If I knew it was gonna take me on the highway, I wouldn't have gone.
- 38:02SPEAKER_00: But uh, when you put it in the map, it didn't look like a freeway.
- 38:05SPEAKER_00: It was like, oh, just take this little like rampy thing.
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: To your death.
- 38:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 38:10SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 38:11SPEAKER_00: Well, that's bird.
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: I'm glad you're okay.
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: Nope.
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: Pull.
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: Why do men wear full ass sweats in summer?
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: Lily.
- 38:19unknown: Okay.
- 38:19SPEAKER_01: Lily sent several, so that's one of Lily's, yeah.
- 38:22SPEAKER_00: Lily Mirana episode we don't know.
- 38:24SPEAKER_00: Episode one, episode one after.
- 38:26SPEAKER_01: Um that's a great question.
- 38:28SPEAKER_01: It is a great question.
- 38:29SPEAKER_01: And I think it's the same answer as why uh men don't have netting in their bathing suits.
- 38:36SPEAKER_01: It's homophobia.
- 38:38SPEAKER_01: Because showing your legs is gay?
- 38:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 38:40SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 38:41SPEAKER_01: Well, because think of this.
- 38:43SPEAKER_01: It's like, have you ever worked in a job where you're like, it's the summer, it's hot, I'd love to wear shorts, but I probably shouldn't.
- 38:51SPEAKER_01: Like that ever that like sense in the back of your head where it's like it would actually be inappropriate or wrong for me to wear shorts.
- 38:56SPEAKER_01: That's like the baby version of what that is.
- 38:59SPEAKER_01: Where it's like, yeah, totally, totally.
- 39:00SPEAKER_01: I think some types of straight guys think that like wearing shorts is gay, period.
- 39:06SPEAKER_01: Wow, that's crazy.
- 39:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think so.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: Because shorts can be so hetero at the same time.
- 39:11SPEAKER_00: Definitely.
- 39:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: Like a pleated pair of khaki shorts on the golf course.
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: That's straight, yeah.
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: But it's like I think we're talking, I think we're talking like city, like we're talking like, you know.
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's nuts.
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: I didn't know I thought it was maybe bulge related, like gray sweatpants season year-round.
- 39:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so then you love to show off, so you but I feel like I feel like I know what Lily's talking about, where it's like you just see guys in sweats regardless of the temperature.
- 39:35SPEAKER_01: They they don't want to show their legs.
- 39:36SPEAKER_00: They don't want to show their legs.
- 39:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:37SPEAKER_00: I'm not the biggest um short person.
- 39:40SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 39:40SPEAKER_00: Because I have skin I have beautiful legs, but they're skinny.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: I just think I look better in like pants.
- 39:47SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 39:48SPEAKER_00: So it's hard for me to get, you know, into shorts.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: But it's hot, and I'm a normal, I'm not a psychopath, so I do wear them.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: But I never I haven't been noticing this.
- 39:58SPEAKER_01: I think it's uh to me, I think the answer is homophobia.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 40:02SPEAKER_01: I do.
- 40:04SPEAKER_01: Is it your turn?
- 40:05SPEAKER_01: Pulling.
- 40:06SPEAKER_01: Oh, this is from Stacool.
- 40:09SPEAKER_01: Friend and friend of the pod.
- 40:11SPEAKER_01: Uh, TV show or movie your family watched repeatedly growing up.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: Um I come from a barber family.
- 40:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that counts.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: We had a lot of barber nights.
- 40:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 40:21SPEAKER_00: My best friend's wedding.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: My nana had my nana would watch me after school more than anyone else.
- 40:26SPEAKER_00: For some reason, uh whatever it timed out, my mom was working.
- 40:29SPEAKER_00: I was just with my nana a lot growing up.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Uh, and she had three VHS.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: My best friend's wedding.
- 40:36SPEAKER_00: What were the other two?
- 40:37SPEAKER_00: Father of the Bride Part 2.
- 40:38SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: And then Stars and Stripes.
- 40:41SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: She's a weird gal.
- 40:45SPEAKER_00: So I certainly wasn't watching Stars and Stripes.
- 40:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 40:47SPEAKER_01: Is that Goldie Hahn?
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: No, isn't that like Bill Murray?
- 40:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 40:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 40:52SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 40:53SPEAKER_01: I'm thinking Private Benjamin.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: See, yeah, saving Private Ryan.
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: That's all she had.
- 40:58SPEAKER_00: That would make more sense somehow.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: Actually, that's in grad.
- 41:02SPEAKER_00: Um, so I would rotate my best friend's wedding and Father of the Bride part two, which is like maybe better than part one.
- 41:08SPEAKER_00: I never saw part one until years later.
- 41:10SPEAKER_01: I love when that happens.
- 41:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because it's such a kid thing where it's like you just randomly have a tape and you don't know the context of it.
- 41:16SPEAKER_01: Or like maybe there's a sequel, maybe there's a prequel, you just don't know.
- 41:19SPEAKER_01: Did you father of the bride?
- 41:20SPEAKER_01: No.
- 41:21SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 41:21SPEAKER_01: We didn't father of the bride one or two.
- 41:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 41:23SPEAKER_01: Well, ever?
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: Uh, I mean, I'm sure we got it like from the library once or something.
- 41:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 41:28SPEAKER_01: Um, we watched so much stuff as a family.
- 41:31SPEAKER_01: We watched uh TV, we would watch Hercules and Xena every Saturday.
- 41:36SPEAKER_01: Um, you have a soft Love Xena, love Zena.
- 41:41SPEAKER_01: And then Xena led us into Buffy.
- 41:43SPEAKER_01: We'd watch Buffy on Tuesdays.
- 41:45SPEAKER_00: I've never seen one episode of Buffy.
- 41:46SPEAKER_01: And then Buffy led us into Alias on ABC.
- 41:50SPEAKER_01: Watch Alias, Jennifer Garner.
- 41:51SPEAKER_01: People love alias.
- 41:52SPEAKER_01: Um great show, isn't it?
- 41:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, hey, that's a great show.
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: Hey, I heard her never show one frame of it.
- 41:58SPEAKER_01: No, you'd love it because she's like constantly like changing her, she's like turning this into a wig.
- 42:01SPEAKER_01: She's like, Oh wow, she makes something.
- 42:03SPEAKER_01: She puts that fishbowl on her head and like gets out of the Yeah, she's like, I'm an astronaut.
- 42:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 42:07SPEAKER_01: Uh we watched SNL when we were old enough.
- 42:09SPEAKER_01: My parents ought to stay up to watch SNL.
- 42:12SPEAKER_01: Enough.
- 42:12SPEAKER_01: You watched a lot of enough.
- 42:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but that was more that was with friends, that wasn't with family.
- 42:15SPEAKER_00: Oh my cousins like would put enough on.
- 42:18SPEAKER_00: That's funny.
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: I used to love Wish Upon a Star.
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: Which is so embarrassing.
- 42:24SPEAKER_00: But that actually was like a hetero moment for me because like I think Catherine Heigel has Alexia Wheaton.
- 42:31SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 42:32SPEAKER_01: I was turned on by like all the stuff that I was seeing on like that was I think my first crush.
- 42:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: Alexia Wheaton.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: She was so like beautiful.
- 42:40SPEAKER_00: She's still available.
- 42:41SPEAKER_00: She's like 30.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: Playing a high schooler.
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: And she just was like, you know when they switch places?
- 42:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: It's a good one.
- 42:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:50SPEAKER_00: That one's classy.
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: You come from a music family though, too.
- 42:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:53SPEAKER_00: Horse was I can't sing at all, but I can I have a nice tone, so I just gotta learn.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: You're like you need some lessons.
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: You're up there.
- 43:01SPEAKER_00: You're the poster child for like anyone can learn to sing, which I don't know if I fully believe, but you you're the technic you come from the technical side.
- 43:09SPEAKER_01: Anyone, anyone can, yeah.
- 43:10SPEAKER_01: You just need the the training, you need the time.
- 43:13SPEAKER_00: But I didn't have any of those things.
- 43:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 43:16SPEAKER_00: And I didn't even audition for them because I was embarrassed.
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: But like the the chorus like solos.
- 43:20SPEAKER_00: Oh really?
- 43:21SPEAKER_00: All I remember is there was a song about pizza that humiliated me.
- 43:24SPEAKER_00: Pizza?
- 43:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was elementary school, so that's like what and like the lead guy who was like cool was like, Oh my pizza.
- 43:31SPEAKER_00: I love you so you tangy sauce, you crustito.
- 43:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 43:37SPEAKER_00: Isn't that humiliating?
- 43:38SPEAKER_00: That is humiliating.
- 43:45SPEAKER_00: Why are you singing about pizza?
- 43:48SPEAKER_00: It was elementary school.
- 43:49SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 43:51SPEAKER_00: We had a little music teacher that rode into town and really shook things up in a bad way.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: She came in on like motorcycle.
- 43:58SPEAKER_00: Uh With the sidecar.
- 44:01SPEAKER_00: No one was driving the bike.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: No.
- 44:03SPEAKER_00: She was just in the sidecar and really shook things up.
- 44:07SPEAKER_00: Her name was Miss Moran.
- 44:09SPEAKER_00: Were these original songs?
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: No.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: She wishes.
- 44:13SPEAKER_00: And then there was another song that was really, really embarrassing, and I don't know any other lyric besides because we have back to back, belly to belly, da da da da da.
- 44:22SPEAKER_00: I don't know the rest, but it was really gross.
- 44:24SPEAKER_00: Really scary.
- 44:24SPEAKER_00: And what the hell?
- 44:25SPEAKER_00: Cringy for me.
- 44:26SPEAKER_00: These are weird.
- 44:26SPEAKER_00: They used to get embarrassed by the lyrics.
- 44:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I would be embarrassed too.
- 44:29SPEAKER_00: But yeah, on my pizza, I love you so.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: Cheese.
- 44:32SPEAKER_00: Cheese, yeah.
- 44:34SPEAKER_00: There was cheese.
- 44:35SPEAKER_00: It was a whole cheese section of the song.
- 44:37SPEAKER_00: The right inseam length for shorts, George.
- 44:42SPEAKER_01: George had a couple.
- 44:43SPEAKER_01: That was one of them.
- 44:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:44SPEAKER_01: George.
- 44:45SPEAKER_01: I feel like there is no right inseam length for shorts.
- 44:50SPEAKER_01: Obviously, trends are pointing towards longer shorts now, shorter shorts.
- 44:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, for sure.
- 44:56SPEAKER_01: But at the same time, it's like if you fucking look amazing in a short short, wear a fucking short short.
- 45:02SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna say a classic J.Crew six inch on the short side.
- 45:07SPEAKER_00: I have I'm all torse, so I have to wear a shorter short because otherwise I just look crazy.
- 45:14SPEAKER_00: So I like a short short, but um at the same time, I I I like uh I've been wearing long dress shorts.
- 45:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, those look great.
- 45:21SPEAKER_00: Which are again almost two years after the trend of like wearing no, they're no they're back.
- 45:25SPEAKER_00: They're bad, it's more than ever now.
- 45:28SPEAKER_01: The long the long, long shorts, the back over the knee shorts.
- 45:34SPEAKER_01: It's just continued to go up.
- 45:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 45:36SPEAKER_00: Because that is cool.
- 45:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 45:37SPEAKER_00: With like a tube sock, forget it.
- 45:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 45:39SPEAKER_00: You're fashion all day.
- 45:40SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 45:41SPEAKER_01: Um but that gets old.
- 45:42SPEAKER_01: Well, it all gets old.
- 45:44SPEAKER_01: That's why I'm saying it's like whatever looks good on you is the right choice.
- 45:47SPEAKER_01: It's like if you have amazing like tree trunk rugby legs, like you should be wearing fucking two-inch in-seam shorts.
- 45:51SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 45:52SPEAKER_01: It's like show those fucking things off.
- 45:53SPEAKER_00: But don't you think a class a classic J.Crew six is like a safe starter?
- 45:56SPEAKER_00: Six start off, then you'll know maybe you need to go to seven, maybe you can go to five.
- 46:01SPEAKER_00: I can wear short shorts.
- 46:02SPEAKER_00: I just have to wear a tube sock, unfortunately.
- 46:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 46:05SPEAKER_00: When I have my these ankles out, it really becomes chicken suit.
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: Chicken salad.
- 46:10SPEAKER_00: Chicken salad for the teenage soul.
- 46:12SPEAKER_01: Listeners, what do you think?
- 46:13SPEAKER_01: What do you think about shorts?
- 46:14SPEAKER_01: What shorts do you wear?
- 46:15SPEAKER_01: What bathing suits do you need?
- 46:17SPEAKER_01: Comment below.
- 46:18SPEAKER_01: Let us know.
- 46:20SPEAKER_01: Beachy waves.
- 46:24SPEAKER_00: Uh Dorinda.
- 46:27SPEAKER_01: Wait.
- 46:27SPEAKER_01: Speaking of Dorinda, um, she has this quote from the show.
- 46:30SPEAKER_01: I always want to say it.
- 46:31SPEAKER_01: So whenever whenever whenever you say, like, how are you?
- 46:33SPEAKER_01: My response wants to be, not well, bitch.
- 46:36SPEAKER_01: Have you seen that clip?
- 46:37SPEAKER_01: Where it's like, she's talking to Candace Bushnell, the creator of Sex in the City, the book, like the original like material.
- 46:42SPEAKER_00: I know go get it.
- 46:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I know you, I know you know.
- 46:44SPEAKER_01: But it's like she's like monologuing at her.
- 46:47SPEAKER_01: It's like a fucking handcuff.
- 46:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like using her as like a stand-in for, I'm assuming like Sonia.
- 46:51SPEAKER_01: I don't know what I don't even I don't know if I've like seen that episode, so I don't even know, but it's like, not well, bitch.
- 46:56SPEAKER_01: That's actually great.
- 46:58SPEAKER_00: Darone hates when I call him Duran.
- 47:00SPEAKER_01: I know he doesn't like it.
- 47:00SPEAKER_00: But he doesn't know the reference fully.
- 47:02SPEAKER_00: He doesn't know Derivative Medley like I do, like we all do.
- 47:05SPEAKER_00: We do.
- 47:06SPEAKER_00: So what he doesn't know is it's actually an incredible nickname.
- 47:09SPEAKER_00: Beach waves.
- 47:10SPEAKER_00: Beachy waves.
- 47:11SPEAKER_00: Beachy waves.
- 47:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 47:13SPEAKER_00: Are we talking sea salt?
- 47:14SPEAKER_00: Are we talking hot tools?
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: If you're just listening, you're not seeing this motion, but hold on.
- 47:25SPEAKER_00: That's like the expensive, like rich bitch wave.
- 47:29SPEAKER_00: Like you want the all uniform.
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: The more you can get it to do this, the richer you are.
- 47:37SPEAKER_00: Beachy waves.
- 47:39SPEAKER_00: Do you body surf?
- 47:41SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 47:42SPEAKER_00: I'm shockingly so good at body surfing.
- 47:43SPEAKER_00: I love to ride a wave in.
- 47:44SPEAKER_00: You gotta.
- 47:45SPEAKER_00: I'm so good at it.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: It's scary.
- 47:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but every once in a while everyone says they're good at it, but every once in a while you get hit by something and you like are like this is your your neck is your body flipping over.
- 47:56SPEAKER_00: My body, like, as you know, I'm like tapered off like a tadpole.
- 47:59SPEAKER_00: Like it just sort of drops away.
- 48:00SPEAKER_00: So I meant to like shoot through water.
- 48:03SPEAKER_00: Uh so I'm so fat.
- 48:06SPEAKER_00: There should be competition.
- 48:07SPEAKER_00: Like, I can really run in.
- 48:09SPEAKER_00: And it's like it's so scary because you know when you ride like body surfing, you kind of are like dropping down as the wave drops down, and your nose is sometimes like an inch off the ground.
- 48:18SPEAKER_00: And you're like, I'm seconds from breaking my whole fucking face.
- 48:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 48:22SPEAKER_00: But it's so good, man.
- 48:24SPEAKER_00: It's so fucking good.
- 48:25SPEAKER_01: That's what summer's all about.
- 48:27SPEAKER_00: When you ride it too far, it's kind of embarrassing to like sort of like reveal how far you wrote it out.
- 48:33SPEAKER_00: It's like really you had to get take it that far, you you asshole?
- 48:37SPEAKER_00: There's like kids fucking playing, and you're like you're like beaching, beach whaling up into the sand guys like.
- 48:44SPEAKER_00: Sorry, bro! You know what I mean?
- 48:48SPEAKER_00: And then you have to like there and like go elsewhere, find your friends.
- 48:55SPEAKER_00: That's how far I had it in.
- 48:57SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 48:57SPEAKER_00: You're really good.
- 48:58SPEAKER_00: I used to skimboard too.
- 49:01SPEAKER_00: I never did that.
- 49:02SPEAKER_00: Too mask.
- 49:03SPEAKER_00: Uh I love to say things are too masked for you.
- 49:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:06SPEAKER_00: Like we just have like arguably more femmes.
- 49:09SPEAKER_00: August.
- 49:10SPEAKER_00: In general.
- 49:12SPEAKER_00: Spike.
- 49:12SPEAKER_00: From Spike.
- 49:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:14SPEAKER_00: This Hi, Spike.
- 49:15SPEAKER_00: Hi, Spike.
- 49:16SPEAKER_00: August, as you all know, is the Sunday night of summer.
- 49:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:20SPEAKER_00: One big Sunday Sunday and scary.
- 49:22SPEAKER_01: I think Spike had also said uh like Virgos and Leos as part of it too.
- 49:27SPEAKER_01: Uh I know.
- 49:28SPEAKER_00: Virgos and Leo's so so different, but so close.
- 49:31SPEAKER_00: It's the month of Leo.
- 49:34SPEAKER_00: August is the month of Leo.
- 49:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I guess the very end it sort of turns over into Virgo.
- 49:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:39SPEAKER_00: I'm Leo rising, so people think I'm Leo.
- 49:42SPEAKER_00: Which makes sense because people think I'm like so like your face, I do drag, all that stuff.
- 49:46SPEAKER_00: But I'm actually kind of shy.
- 49:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and crazy.
- 49:48SPEAKER_01: Um, and I am a cancer Leo cusp, so people will often think that I'm Leo because again, I'm like sort of Doughboy.
- 49:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I guess.
- 49:56SPEAKER_01: And then I'm very sensitive and internal.
- 49:59SPEAKER_00: You are cancer, cancer, cancer.
- 50:00SPEAKER_00: There's tons of cancer in my chart.
- 50:02SPEAKER_00: I love cancers.
- 50:02SPEAKER_00: I want a cancer dog named Mike.
- 50:04SPEAKER_00: Dog?
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: You can't dogs don't animals don't have astrology.
- 50:08SPEAKER_00: They do.
- 50:09SPEAKER_00: Say that to can't look right into the lens and ask for that back.
- 50:13SPEAKER_00: Animals don't have astrology.
- 50:14SPEAKER_00: They do.
- 50:15SPEAKER_00: Animals don't have gender.
- 50:16SPEAKER_00: Let her have it.
- 50:18SPEAKER_00: They do.
- 50:18SPEAKER_00: They have both of those things.
- 50:19SPEAKER_00: Dogs have charts.
- 50:20SPEAKER_00: I in fact, I just read dog charts.
- 50:23SPEAKER_00: You just read dog in general.
- 50:25SPEAKER_01: You speak dog too.
- 50:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 50:29SPEAKER_01: Dry mix.
- 50:31SPEAKER_00: Just to go.
- 50:32SPEAKER_00: Dry mix.
- 50:33SPEAKER_01: Dry mix.
- 50:35SPEAKER_01: August was like when you were a kid.
- 50:37SPEAKER_01: It's like that's when you knew shit was getting real.
- 50:39SPEAKER_01: Like summer vacation is coming to an end.
- 50:40SPEAKER_01: You have to do your reading.
- 50:42SPEAKER_01: You have to get your projects done.
- 50:43SPEAKER_01: It's like everything is it's like you're about to go back to school, but the clock has started.
- 50:48SPEAKER_01: But I think that's so deeply ingrained in us as adults that we feel like summer, summer is over when August rolls around.
- 50:55SPEAKER_01: It's like, no, it's not.
- 50:56SPEAKER_00: Me and my sister used to be like, summer's over after the fourth, like in a pessimistic way.
- 51:00SPEAKER_00: Because like we grew up in a beach town, so everyone would like was so crazy for the summer.
- 51:04SPEAKER_00: So it would be so devastating for those people to hear, like some be like, it's actually kind of almost over.
- 51:10SPEAKER_00: It's like truly July 5th.
- 51:12SPEAKER_00: Another month, two months.
- 51:12SPEAKER_00: But just to be annoying, like just pessy, pessy vibes.
- 51:15SPEAKER_01: Like, so kind of I think Spike also said uh August is when gay people start thinking about Halloween and straight people start thinking about the holidays.
- 51:25SPEAKER_00: Halloween's gonna be big this year, I think.
- 51:27SPEAKER_00: I'm hoping.
- 51:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I told you I want to be a slutty QR code.
- 51:30SPEAKER_00: Just my own Venmo QR blown up, double-sided, with like a speedo on.
- 51:36SPEAKER_00: People can literally Venmo me.
- 51:39SPEAKER_00: Functioning.
- 51:40SPEAKER_00: And the menu.
- 51:43SPEAKER_00: Or I want to be Sarah Sanderson.
- 51:46SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 51:47SPEAKER_00: But no sisters.
- 51:48SPEAKER_00: I always just want to be Sarah Sanderson alone.
- 51:50SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 51:50SPEAKER_00: Like just the hot one.
- 51:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 51:51SPEAKER_00: It's like so funny to me just to have her at a party.
- 51:54SPEAKER_00: Funny for my pea brain.
- 51:56SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 51:57SPEAKER_00: Where are your sisters?
- 51:58SPEAKER_00: No one needs them.
- 51:59SPEAKER_00: Who needs them?
- 52:01SPEAKER_00: Hey.
- 52:01SPEAKER_00: Who needs them?
- 52:03SPEAKER_00: Like, okay.
- 52:05SPEAKER_01: August sucks.
- 52:06SPEAKER_01: I like August.
- 52:07SPEAKER_01: I think it's like why there's I think we need to normalize leaning into August, is what I'm saying.
- 52:14SPEAKER_01: It's like Yeah, face your fears.
- 52:16SPEAKER_01: Summer's summer's not over.
- 52:18SPEAKER_01: You don't have any reading to do.
- 52:20SPEAKER_00: Face the summer Sunday scary.
- 52:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 52:22SPEAKER_00: What are you scared of?
- 52:23SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm actually all about like you're everything you're afraid of.
- 52:27SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 52:27SPEAKER_00: Face it.
- 52:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 52:29SPEAKER_00: The Britney movie.
- 52:30SPEAKER_01: The Britney movie?
- 52:31SPEAKER_01: Is that yours?
- 52:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 52:32SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 52:32SPEAKER_01: I was like, I don't remember seeing that one.
- 52:34SPEAKER_01: The Britney movie.
- 52:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, have you been hearing?
- 52:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 52:37SPEAKER_00: They're trying to cast a biopic.
- 52:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 52:39SPEAKER_00: It needs to be a no name.
- 52:41SPEAKER_00: Or myself.
- 52:43SPEAKER_00: Uh, no name then.
- 52:44SPEAKER_00: Um I could do it.
- 52:47SPEAKER_00: I'd get on a limpic and shrink away.
- 52:49SPEAKER_00: You're a man.
- 52:51SPEAKER_00: Some people were saying Sabrina Carpenter, and I'm like, get a lost.
- 52:54SPEAKER_00: Are you kidding?
- 52:55SPEAKER_00: That's the opposite vibe.
- 52:57SPEAKER_00: No.
- 52:57SPEAKER_00: She unfortunately needs to like be innocent and have that cutesy.
- 53:00SPEAKER_00: She can't be like beautiful.
- 53:03SPEAKER_00: She has to be like cute.
- 53:04SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be me.
- 53:05SPEAKER_00: It should be me.
- 53:06SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna manifest that.
- 53:06SPEAKER_00: I'm putting that out into the world.
- 53:08SPEAKER_00: I don't know who it's gonna be.
- 53:09SPEAKER_01: I'm it's not gonna happen.
- 53:11SPEAKER_01: I wish I I would feel better about it if I felt better about her.
- 53:14SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 53:15SPEAKER_01: It's like if she was in a better place.
- 53:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I sent you in a video the other night, which now it's like over.
- 53:20SPEAKER_00: It's not cool to send Britney um dancing videos anymore.
- 53:23SPEAKER_00: But that one, she had a like weird matador hat on.
- 53:26SPEAKER_00: It was like Eddie Redmane.
- 53:28SPEAKER_00: You know, I I felt I wish I felt like if her career was in a better place or like it was I would love for it if it felt like she was in good mental health and she was just dancing.
- 53:38SPEAKER_00: That would be the dream.
- 53:39SPEAKER_00: She deserves that.
- 53:40SPEAKER_00: But it feels like unhinged in a sad way.
- 53:43SPEAKER_01: You have a certain responsibility as a public-facing figure to like not terrify your audience.
- 53:48SPEAKER_01: And it's like, I just wish someone would edit her her like posts.
- 53:52SPEAKER_01: It's like I don't need to see this dream of consciousness like writing sometimes where it's like that's making me feel like you're unwell and I'm concerned for you.
- 54:01SPEAKER_01: And all I want to do is celebrate and uplift you.
- 54:03SPEAKER_01: So it's like if you could just like I I know the idea of like writing whatever the fuck you want and hitting send is very empowering, especially for somebody like her who literally couldn't do that for years and years and years, but you can still have a like but get a team.
- 54:16SPEAKER_01: A team, that's what I mean.
- 54:17SPEAKER_01: It's like you can still have a team and they work for you, it's fine.
- 54:20SPEAKER_01: But pitball out all your ideas out and they'll just make a left of it.
- 54:23SPEAKER_01: They can learn your style, they can make it work.
- 54:25SPEAKER_01: It's it can be as kooky, it can be yeah, it can be as loosey-goosey as you want, but it's like you can have a team.
- 54:29SPEAKER_01: You can have a team.
- 54:30SPEAKER_01: You can have a team.
- 54:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 54:31SPEAKER_01: She should have a team.
- 54:32SPEAKER_01: She should.
- 54:32SPEAKER_01: She needs a team.
- 54:33SPEAKER_01: She deserves a team.
- 54:34SPEAKER_01: Anyways, take a break.
- 54:35SPEAKER_00: Uh sure, let's take a break.
- 54:43SPEAKER_01: Whose turn is it?
- 54:44SPEAKER_01: It's my turn.
- 54:45SPEAKER_01: Um I'll pull them and we'll just see what we got.
- 54:51SPEAKER_00: How do you not have a smelly hat like hat wearers out there?
- 54:54SPEAKER_00: I always feel like hats reek.
- 54:57SPEAKER_01: I mean, they can.
- 54:58SPEAKER_01: They can.
- 54:59SPEAKER_01: They always smell like head, you know, but um I guess it's a shampooed head.
- 55:03SPEAKER_01: Sometimes straw hats.
- 55:07SPEAKER_00: From George.
- 55:08SPEAKER_00: Aw, George.
- 55:10SPEAKER_00: Straw hats.
- 55:11SPEAKER_00: I love them.
- 55:13SPEAKER_00: Well, no, I do.
- 55:14SPEAKER_00: What kind are we talking?
- 55:14SPEAKER_00: I guess is the question.
- 55:16SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 55:17SPEAKER_00: Well, that's funny.
- 55:18SPEAKER_00: You say this, George.
- 55:20SPEAKER_00: You say straw hats.
- 55:21SPEAKER_00: I just was pulling straw hats for a drag look.
- 55:25SPEAKER_01: That one, that big one you found was was cunt.
- 55:26SPEAKER_01: That was I really like that one.
- 55:28SPEAKER_01: There's a couple.
- 55:29SPEAKER_01: The jumbo.
- 55:29SPEAKER_01: I looked at all of them, but I liked the biggest one.
- 55:31SPEAKER_00: There's one that I sent though, or didn't send that was um natural colored.
- 55:35SPEAKER_00: It's even bigger and spikier.
- 55:36SPEAKER_00: I'm like, ooh, you'd have to spray it black.
- 55:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 55:39SPEAKER_00: But it still was so cool.
- 55:40SPEAKER_00: We'll go through them.
- 55:40SPEAKER_00: We'll go through them.
- 55:41SPEAKER_00: But the point is, uh straw hats are cunt.
- 55:44SPEAKER_00: They're back.
- 55:45SPEAKER_00: I I they're on my mind in a huge way.
- 55:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 55:48SPEAKER_00: I was so surprised you actually liked the straw hats.
- 55:50SPEAKER_00: Well, I I saw the vision.
- 55:52SPEAKER_01: I was like, okay, there's something going on here.
- 55:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's definitely got a fibrous got a big swag.
- 56:00SPEAKER_01: Anything witchy.
- 56:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 56:01SPEAKER_00: I want fronds, I want braids and knots and dried everything.
- 56:09SPEAKER_00: Socra bleu.
- 56:11SPEAKER_00: How do you say that?
- 56:12SPEAKER_00: Soc le bleu.
- 56:14SPEAKER_00: Soc.
- 56:14SPEAKER_00: It's sacra.
- 56:16SPEAKER_00: Sacre bleu.
- 56:17SPEAKER_00: But it's that's like when people hear me say marron, they're like marron.
- 56:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well that's what I thought was the longest time.
- 56:24SPEAKER_00: You're saying Madonna Mia, you're saying Mother of Mary, Madonna, Madonna Maron.
- 56:31SPEAKER_00: Anyways, um Yeah, I want fringe, I want Franz, I want everything.
- 56:38SPEAKER_00: Knotted up.
- 56:39SPEAKER_01: Coconuts, yeah, dried shells, I want net fish bone netting, uh sea urchin, uh dried crustacean and starfish.
- 56:48SPEAKER_01: But don't you feel like uh doesn't that get to be a lot?
- 56:50SPEAKER_00: Like a big it's like it's a big hat at the end of the day.
- 56:53SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 56:54SPEAKER_00: But yeah, it is, it's not it's more fashion than practical in a weird way.
- 56:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 56:58SPEAKER_00: When it gets spiky and cool.
- 57:00SPEAKER_00: Because like Saren has like some really expensive straw hats that she fucking never wears.
- 57:05SPEAKER_00: There's also dads in like a billion hat.
- 57:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 57:10SPEAKER_00: My dad kind of is going through that era, and it's like, why is it gotta be billabong?
- 57:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's like too young for you, honey.
- 57:17SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 57:18SPEAKER_00: But you know what I mean?
- 57:19SPEAKER_00: Dads get caught up in that like appropriative like Asian hat moment, yeah, which is kind of weird.
- 57:26SPEAKER_00: And it's like, dad, uh, yeah, that's not for you.
- 57:30SPEAKER_01: I'm not drawn to a straw hat.
- 57:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 57:32SPEAKER_01: I don't think I think if I put it on, it would be fully scarecrow.
- 57:35SPEAKER_01: It's like, that's not.
- 57:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you are um Fiero.
- 57:40SPEAKER_01: He's the scarecrow?
- 57:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 57:41SPEAKER_00: She turns alert.
- 57:43SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 57:43SPEAKER_00: She turns him into a scarecrow.
- 57:46SPEAKER_00: No one knows that.
- 57:46SPEAKER_00: I mean, everyone knows that, but it really messes up the whole plot of um the Wizard of Oz.
- 57:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 57:52SPEAKER_01: Also, isn't he like the love interest?
- 57:54SPEAKER_01: Wouldn't he be the one without a heart?
- 57:55SPEAKER_01: Shouldn't he be the tin man?
- 57:56SPEAKER_00: That's someone else.
- 57:57SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 57:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she like tries to save everyone with her like mediocre magic.
- 58:02SPEAKER_00: So they can't hurt him.
- 58:03SPEAKER_00: So they she meets turns him into a heyman.
- 58:05SPEAKER_00: Ring the wicked alarm.
- 58:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, always.
- 58:08SPEAKER_00: I'm ready for my black hat moment, to be honest, in drag.
- 58:11SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 58:12SPEAKER_00: I mean the hat that you that we that we had.
- 58:14SPEAKER_00: I've never worn the black hat.
- 58:15SPEAKER_01: I never like I never rose Dawson.
- 58:18SPEAKER_01: I thought you meant like my black hat moment as like a gay guy.
- 58:20SPEAKER_01: I was like, oh no, no, no, no.
- 58:22SPEAKER_01: No.
- 58:22SPEAKER_01: Remember gay guys walking?
- 58:23SPEAKER_01: Remember you had a hat that like you had and never wore and finally.
- 58:26SPEAKER_01: I returned it to pay for my DP.
- 58:29SPEAKER_00: I splurged on a real animal that was made into a hat.
- 58:35SPEAKER_00: It was like suede.
- 58:36SPEAKER_00: I don't know what it was.
- 58:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 58:37SPEAKER_00: Hammered down.
- 58:38SPEAKER_00: Shark.
- 58:39SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah.
- 58:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 58:40SPEAKER_00: Pull.
- 58:41SPEAKER_00: Pull.
- 58:43SPEAKER_00: Oh no, I got a double.
- 58:44SPEAKER_00: Well, why don't you pick GameCube?
- 58:47SPEAKER_00: Which is me.
- 58:48SPEAKER_00: I put it in there.
- 58:50SPEAKER_00: Or straight guys in high school you think wanted to fuck Fran.
- 58:54SPEAKER_00: Hi Fran.
- 58:55SPEAKER_01: Uh, I didn't have GameCube, so let's do the straight guys one, I guess.
- 58:58SPEAKER_01: Fine.
- 58:59SPEAKER_01: Did you have GameCube?
- 59:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 59:00SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 59:01SPEAKER_01: So you played like Melee.
- 59:03SPEAKER_01: Mario Sunshine.
- 59:05SPEAKER_01: Smash.
- 59:05SPEAKER_01: And Smash?
- 59:06SPEAKER_00: Melee, Luigi's Mansion, that's embarrassing.
- 59:08SPEAKER_00: It's for girls.
- 59:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 59:09SPEAKER_00: It's for babies.
- 59:10SPEAKER_00: For babies, yeah.
- 59:11SPEAKER_00: Girls and babies.
- 59:12SPEAKER_00: Playmobil.
- 59:13SPEAKER_00: Your your style, yeah.
- 59:15SPEAKER_00: What an incredible like second iteration of like Nintendo.
- 59:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 59:20SPEAKER_00: Like what a great sequel.
- 59:21SPEAKER_00: GameCube is con.
- 59:23SPEAKER_00: It is so con.
- 59:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 59:24SPEAKER_00: Like just the design of it.
- 59:26SPEAKER_00: Like truly.
- 59:27SPEAKER_00: The storyline.
- 59:28SPEAKER_00: It's a fucking cube.
- 59:29SPEAKER_00: It has a handle.
- 59:30SPEAKER_00: It has a handle.
- 59:32SPEAKER_00: It's just con.
- 59:33SPEAKER_00: It's amazing.
- 59:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 59:34SPEAKER_00: It just such a good like sister.
- 59:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 59:37SPEAKER_00: I was a Nintendo fan.
- 59:39SPEAKER_01: I love Nintendo.
- 59:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 59:40SPEAKER_00: But also, I was thinking about rumble packs and I was like, I hated that experience.
- 59:44SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 59:45SPEAKER_00: I didn't need that.
- 59:46SPEAKER_00: Just like I don't really need surround sound.
- 59:48SPEAKER_00: I don't need like I don't need 4D.
- 59:49SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 59:50SPEAKER_00: I don't need like a breath on my neck.
- 59:53SPEAKER_01: But like a rumble pack.
- 59:55SPEAKER_00: See, I need 4D.
- 59:56SPEAKER_00: I need like ribbons.
- 59:57SPEAKER_01: You need like just you need to be a big rumble pack, but like bigger is what you're saying.
- 1:00:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:00:01SPEAKER_00: I need a fan with ribbons that tickle like the back of my head and like mist that sprays upward.
- 1:00:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:00:07SPEAKER_00: Anyways, you said don't talk about GameCube.
- 1:00:09SPEAKER_00: You said talk about straight guys in high school you think wanted to fuck.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_00: Fran, do you mean like guys that I thought wanted to fuck me?
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_00: No one in high school was like ready to.
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_00: It wasn't cool to be gay.
- 1:00:22SPEAKER_01: Well, this is a complex topic because we're saying straight guys.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_01: So we're saying guys at the time that identified as straight who wanted to fuck you, or guys that are currently identified as straight who you think wanted to fuck you.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_00: I've had a few people tell me they've always loved me.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_00: Loved?
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_00: Or had a crush on me.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_00: Well, that's different.
- 1:00:45SPEAKER_00: I guess.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_00: I've heard both.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_00: How about that one kid who's gay and out?
- 1:00:49SPEAKER_00: What a pioneer.
- 1:00:50SPEAKER_00: What the there's always there's always at least one who can't couldn't.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_00: And did you make fun of them?
- 1:00:55SPEAKER_00: Because you felt like you had to?
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_00: Because I think I fell into that trap a little bit, which I feel sad about.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_01: So the way my homo my like internalized homophobia manifested was like I never made fun of people that were gay, but I also I was like, I'm not joining Gay Strait Alliance.
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_01: I was like, I'm not a part of that.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_01: Like I can't do that.
- 1:01:13SPEAKER_01: I forgot that was like a club, yeah.
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_01: It was like there wasn't, it was just girls.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_01: Girls that I knew.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_01: And it wasn't.
- 1:01:21SPEAKER_01: And they weren't there weren't any gay people in it.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_01: It was just like the it was just like Melissa.
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_01: And it was like, Melissa, why are you in here?
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_01: It was like, okay, you like you want to support gay people.
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_01: That's amazing.
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_01: But it's like, what's going on here?
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_01: It's like, are you gay?
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_01: It's like, no, you're not.
- 1:01:33SPEAKER_01: You're not.
- 1:01:33SPEAKER_01: It's like Melissa's a trend center.
- 1:01:35SPEAKER_01: She can predict, you know.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_01: So I was like, that was a bridge too far.
- 1:01:39SPEAKER_01: It was like, I'm not.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_01: Wait, I completely forgot about the gay straight alliance.
- 1:01:43SPEAKER_00: Like, why was that around?
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_00: Because no one was doing that is so funny.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_00: Like at LaSalle, I'm pretty sure LaSalle had the gay straight alliance.
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_00: But also, it's like gay straight alliance.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_00: We're aligning to say, hey, it's okay, you're gay.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_00: But not that okay.
- 1:01:58SPEAKER_01: I feel like gay straight alliance is probably his vernacular that isn't used anymore.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_00: It's probably like uh the gay straight alliance.
- 1:02:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 1:02:06SPEAKER_00: My mind is blown.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_00: That's something that I've really, really, really deleted.
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_01: That's so funny.
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure LaSalle had one, which is a Catholic school.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_00: Like, what were they thinking?
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_00: Well that's not allowed.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna write a letter.
- 1:02:20SPEAKER_01: You're like, get that out of here.
- 1:02:21SPEAKER_01: Um Karen.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_01: I mean, I to me, this is such a hard question to answer because I was so like completely oblivious to like what any kind of sexual energy was coming at me from anyone that it was like, if there were guys that were attracted to me, I could I couldn't pick up on them.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_01: I had no, I had no clue.
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_01: So it's like impossible for me to say.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_01: There was only one guy who, in retrospect, I had a huge crush on that I can think that like maybe would have reciprocated.
- 1:02:51SPEAKER_01: But again, at the time, no, I had no idea.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_01: I just could not, I wouldn't have been able to put two and two together to be like, oh, this person wants to fuck.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_00: Like I was a late bloomer, so I I don't know if I was thinking about sex.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_00: I was.
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_00: Who am I kidding?
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_00: I used to come home and jerk off four times after your oatmeal bowl.
- 1:03:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:03:09SPEAKER_00: After eating instant oats in my khakis.
- 1:03:12SPEAKER_00: I used to jerk off to like days of our lives.
- 1:03:14SPEAKER_00: Anyways, we know we know, we've said it on the pot before.
- 1:03:16SPEAKER_00: Don't worry.
- 1:03:17SPEAKER_00: On the pot?
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, as y'all know.
- 1:03:19SPEAKER_00: As y'all know.
- 1:03:20SPEAKER_00: Um, that era for me was a little lonely in that I felt like anyone who was gay at that time either thought I was gay and like questioned me in like a rude kind of way, or they were jealous of me because I wasn't gay.
- 1:03:34SPEAKER_00: He's straight, but also effeminate and balancing it beautifully.
- 1:03:38SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:03:40SPEAKER_00: And then straight men were scared of me.
- 1:03:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_00: Because I was like flamboyant.
- 1:03:46SPEAKER_00: That's why I was left alone.
- 1:03:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because I couldn't find a group of men that weren't afraid of me.
- 1:03:55SPEAKER_00: But I've always been a piece of meat for the girls.
- 1:04:01SPEAKER_00: There were people waiting for me to come out, I will say.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_00: There were less so now I'm like fat and old.
- 1:04:06SPEAKER_00: But when I was like Twink era, yeah.
- 1:04:10SPEAKER_00: It was splashy when I came out.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_00: Semi-unrelated, but related.
- 1:04:14SPEAKER_00: I have always said that I'm a safe choice for straight men.
- 1:04:18SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 1:04:19SPEAKER_00: I feel like straight men are comfortable around me in like a way that like is flirty beyond normal.
- 1:04:25SPEAKER_00: Because I'm kind of like a girl, so it's like, oh.
- 1:04:28SPEAKER_00: If you're curious and questioning, it's like dipping a toe in.
- 1:04:32SPEAKER_00: It's like a safe space, and then I'm like pretty.
- 1:04:35SPEAKER_01: Now, do you think this is might be history on explaining that again?
- 1:04:38SPEAKER_00: I don't.
- 1:04:38SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_00: I don't actually.
- 1:04:41SPEAKER_00: Because people will agree, hear what I'm saying, and agree.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_00: Because it's true though.
- 1:04:47SPEAKER_00: Who what people?
- 1:04:49SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:04:50SPEAKER_00: I think I feel like Sam and Misha could hear me when I said that street men are comfortable around me.
- 1:04:55SPEAKER_00: And if they're curious, like I'm calling myself a woman, basically.
- 1:04:59SPEAKER_00: I'm like, they're comfortable because they're like, oh, this guy's a guy, but Yeah, I just I guess I just something about You don't want to hear it.
- 1:05:07SPEAKER_00: You don't want to hear it.
- 1:05:08SPEAKER_01: I don't want to hear it because there's something there's something about it that it like reduces homocuriosity, this place of like all the guys are only interested in women and because you're feminine they want to have sex.
- 1:05:20SPEAKER_01: It's like I don't think that's what it is.
- 1:05:21SPEAKER_01: It's like I would accept it if you were like guys know that I came out recently so they think that I'm a safe choice, or that I'm just kind of nice and like they're but it's just funny that you like go the uh this other way with it.
- 1:05:35SPEAKER_00: I know because I can never fully talk to speak to what I'm experiencing.
- 1:05:38SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_00: They think I'm a woman.
- 1:05:40SPEAKER_00: I don't think that's what I feel.
- 1:05:43SPEAKER_00: I mean, but maybe I don't know what you're talking about.
- 1:05:45SPEAKER_01: So I Well, it's like self deprecating for me to be like, it's because I'm like femme and like But I don't think of you as I mean, like I think I if people know you do drag, I think then that like creates a sense of femininity attached to your persona, but I don't think Talking to you like in the moment you come off as femme at all.
- 1:06:03SPEAKER_01: That's why it's like a compliment.
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean, well, okay, that's something to unpack.
- 1:06:08SPEAKER_00: Uh but do you know what like I'm saying?
- 1:06:10SPEAKER_00: Like I maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I'm just gathering.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:06:14SPEAKER_00: Is it pretty privilege?
- 1:06:16SPEAKER_00: I don't know if it's that either.
- 1:06:17SPEAKER_00: You don't want to give me pretty privilege.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_01: I think I think it just might be like, why can't it be like you're just nice or like they are attracted to they're just drawn to you because like you're not like judgmental, like you're safe because you're safe, not because you're a safe.
- 1:06:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I'm just lumping those all everything you're saying into like the feminine category.
- 1:06:34SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
- 1:06:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:06:36SPEAKER_01: That's so interesting.
- 1:06:37SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 1:06:38SPEAKER_00: I just don't know.
- 1:06:39SPEAKER_00: It's just so interesting that you would do that.
- 1:06:40SPEAKER_00: Well, consider them all lumped in.
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_00: You would have pretty privilege.
- 1:06:44SPEAKER_00: It's just I don't have not anymore, girl.
- 1:06:46SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean, I uh is this pretty privilege?
- 1:06:49SPEAKER_01: Well, with a certain crowd.
- 1:06:51SPEAKER_01: Um actually all of our following It's based on entirely on that.
- 1:06:56SPEAKER_01: So, you know, I'm trying to make you lose, but I should be making you gain.
- 1:06:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:06:59SPEAKER_00: Um pick up a topic.
- 1:07:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:07:01SPEAKER_01: Sweat.
- 1:07:02SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's from George.
- 1:07:03SPEAKER_01: Georgia.
- 1:07:05SPEAKER_01: Now we know a thing or two about you just do the rest of the pot standing up.
- 1:07:09SPEAKER_01: Like, hello.
- 1:07:15SPEAKER_01: Sweat.
- 1:07:16SPEAKER_01: Sweat.
- 1:07:16SPEAKER_01: Sweat, baby, sweat.
- 1:07:18SPEAKER_01: Uh I'm like, this feels pointed.
- 1:07:20SPEAKER_01: Well, on one hand, love sweat.
- 1:07:24SPEAKER_00: And on the other, hate this stuff.
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_00: You can't stand it.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_00: I sweat too much.
- 1:07:29SPEAKER_00: You do.
- 1:07:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, this part everyone knows about my sweat.
- 1:07:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:07:32SPEAKER_00: I sweat just from like the head.
- 1:07:34SPEAKER_00: Well, not just the head.
- 1:07:36SPEAKER_00: No, everywhere.
- 1:07:37SPEAKER_00: I sweat from the front.
- 1:07:38SPEAKER_00: My backside doesn't really sweat.
- 1:07:40SPEAKER_00: Because I was like moving shit at 1896 with Michael, one of the owners.
- 1:07:43SPEAKER_00: We were like clearing the courtyard, it's just like heavy rust and metal.
- 1:07:47SPEAKER_00: And we both were soaked, but I was like from the front, and he was like, his back was sweaty, but my mine was like dry as barched.
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 1:07:55SPEAKER_00: So it's just my head.
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_01: That's wild.
- 1:07:57SPEAKER_01: You do sweat more than maybe anyone I've ever met.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_00: That sucks.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_01: Cause like no, Nick Cordy.
- 1:08:03SPEAKER_01: Has maybe.
- 1:08:04SPEAKER_01: Maybe I think so.
- 1:08:05SPEAKER_01: Because that seems like it's full body.
- 1:08:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:08:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:08:07SPEAKER_00: That might be full body.
- 1:08:08SPEAKER_00: But he's the only one who can relate.
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_00: Because it's just so frustrating.
- 1:08:13SPEAKER_00: It's a it's wild.
- 1:08:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:08:14SPEAKER_00: Does that mean my body's working?
- 1:08:16SPEAKER_00: Uh well, yeah, your body's working.
- 1:08:19SPEAKER_00: Uh making sweat.
- 1:08:21SPEAKER_00: But I am a wet guy.
- 1:08:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:08:23SPEAKER_00: And during sex, it gets crazy.
- 1:08:27SPEAKER_00: But it's kind of like I mean I like sweat during sex.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_00: You like it until it's distracting.
- 1:08:32SPEAKER_00: It's like dripping in your face.
- 1:08:33SPEAKER_00: It's like, whoa, Splash Mountain.
- 1:08:36SPEAKER_00: Like Tiana's teacup ride.
- 1:08:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:08:39SPEAKER_00: Is that coming off your body or coming off your hair?
- 1:08:41SPEAKER_00: Both.
- 1:08:42SPEAKER_00: I need the AC on.
- 1:08:43SPEAKER_00: Blast.
- 1:08:44SPEAKER_00: Everywhere.
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_00: That kind of sucks.
- 1:08:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:08:46SPEAKER_00: And it has to like be well, some people like to get it toasty roasty.
- 1:08:52SPEAKER_00: And I've had a few hookups now in my space.
- 1:08:54SPEAKER_00: I'm hooking up less in my apartment because I have a roommate, so I'm in other people's spaces.
- 1:08:59SPEAKER_00: And it's steamy.
- 1:09:00SPEAKER_00: And then I have to like be like, this seems scary and weird, but I'm going to need a towel.
- 1:09:04SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I'm doing better than I look.
- 1:09:07SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 1:09:08SPEAKER_00: It's because you have candles lit and the windows lightly cracked and you like it toasty roasty.
- 1:09:12SPEAKER_00: Not gonna fly.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_00: I need an Arctic.
- 1:09:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:09:16SPEAKER_00: Uh at least I'm not super smelly.
- 1:09:19SPEAKER_01: Well, when I think of sweat, I think of stink.
- 1:09:21SPEAKER_01: And they're not really the same.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_01: They're not it's like sometimes you can just have a pure sweat where the water is just coming out.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_01: You're hot, it's that's usually leaking.
- 1:09:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:09:28SPEAKER_01: And then you can have like stress sweat where you're like literally smelling like the grave.
- 1:09:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:09:34SPEAKER_00: Um if I'm if I have B.O.
- 1:09:36SPEAKER_00: and I go on a run, I don't have BO anymore.
- 1:09:38SPEAKER_00: It like sweats it away.
- 1:09:39SPEAKER_01: Because you're literally your body is washing itself.
- 1:09:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it splashes out.
- 1:09:42SPEAKER_00: No, it's true though.
- 1:09:43SPEAKER_00: If I'm sweating a ton, usually I don't smell.
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_01: I get like stress B.O.
- 1:09:47SPEAKER_01: more than I get any other kind of stink.
- 1:09:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't sweat that much.
- 1:09:51SPEAKER_01: Remember, we had like, you know, we found my trigger point was like 90 degrees.
- 1:09:54SPEAKER_00: That was like Yeah, that was amazing to finally find you sweating.
- 1:09:57SPEAKER_01: But I love I love a good sweat.
- 1:09:59SPEAKER_01: Um, I prefer like a sauna to like a steam room situation.
- 1:10:03SPEAKER_01: Like I love to feel my body just sort of like start to like pour out.
- 1:10:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think I'm dry oversteamed.
- 1:10:09SPEAKER_01: It's just it's kind of hard to breathe in the steam room.
- 1:10:12SPEAKER_00: It's hard to breathe in both.
- 1:10:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:10:14SPEAKER_00: TBH, yeah.
- 1:10:15SPEAKER_00: Are you that asshole in the sauna that's like I don't fucking touch anything in the sauna?
- 1:10:20SPEAKER_00: You know that douchey guy who like puts his water bottle on like the coals to like fire it up and it's like thanks, man.
- 1:10:26SPEAKER_01: It's like we're all here trying to enjoy it.
- 1:10:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:28SPEAKER_00: I so my gym here has a steam room, but my gym in Rhode Island has a sauna.
- 1:10:33SPEAKER_01: You just drive back and forth for both of them.
- 1:10:35SPEAKER_00: I'm bike, I'm tri-coastal.
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_00: The sauna is, I don't know, classic.
- 1:10:40SPEAKER_01: Sauna's classic.
- 1:10:41SPEAKER_01: The steam room is where all the action always goes down.
- 1:10:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_01: Because what do gay guys love?
- 1:10:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they love a filter.
- 1:10:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:10:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:10:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:10:51SPEAKER_00: I got an audience steam room once.
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_00: I've only been to one spa, as you all know.
- 1:10:56SPEAKER_00: Just kidding.
- 1:10:57SPEAKER_00: Actually, no one knows that.
- 1:10:58SPEAKER_00: Now it's just polstering.
- 1:11:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, in Sentry in LA, you were there.
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_01: I wasn't at the spa.
- 1:11:03SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:11:03SPEAKER_01: It was in LA.
- 1:11:04SPEAKER_00: We had just gotten in a huge fight.
- 1:11:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, in a huge fight.
- 1:11:06SPEAKER_01: And then you came back and you're like, I swallowed some guy's load.
- 1:11:08SPEAKER_01: And I was like, what?
- 1:11:09SPEAKER_00: I was like, Yeah.
- 1:11:11SPEAKER_00: Like, forgot I said that.
- 1:11:12SPEAKER_01: You like had to tell me.
- 1:11:13SPEAKER_01: It was like something perverse.
- 1:11:15SPEAKER_01: So stressed.
- 1:11:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:11:16SPEAKER_00: Because I had it was just exploring with men and I like had a bunch of unprotected like moments.
- 1:11:20SPEAKER_00: But now I'm like, oral, please, who cares?
- 1:11:22SPEAKER_00: Including like being asked going somewhere else with someone young from the Steam Room and then asking if he had a condom.
- 1:11:29SPEAKER_01: And he's like, what the fuck?
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_00: No, I don't have a condom.
- 1:11:32SPEAKER_00: Get out.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_00: He's like, get out of the state.
- 1:11:39SPEAKER_01: Well, you should never be shamed for asking for a condom, but it's hard for him to have one on him and he's wearing a towel.
- 1:11:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:11:45SPEAKER_01: Or nothing.
- 1:11:45SPEAKER_01: I wonder what George thinks about sweat.
- 1:11:47SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 1:11:47SPEAKER_00: I want to know what George thinks about sweat.
- 1:11:49SPEAKER_00: I feel like he's not super sweaty.
- 1:11:51SPEAKER_00: George, I feel like you're on the dry side.
- 1:11:53SPEAKER_00: Come to the dark side.
- 1:11:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_00: The wet side.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:11:56SPEAKER_00: He's hairy.
- 1:11:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:11:58SPEAKER_00: In Greek.
- 1:11:59SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 1:12:00SPEAKER_00: But I feel like he has that all on lock.
- 1:12:02SPEAKER_00: Pull one more.
- 1:12:03SPEAKER_01: Pull one more.
- 1:12:05SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:12:06SPEAKER_01: Chapel Roan from Jay.
- 1:12:08SPEAKER_01: The full, the full uh topic from uh Jay McCarroll.
- 1:12:14SPEAKER_01: Uh Hi, Jay.
- 1:12:15SPEAKER_01: Guest on our finale episode of season one was Chapel Roan and why is she being pushed on all of us?
- 1:12:20SPEAKER_01: Um so yeah, it's a good it's a good question.
- 1:12:23SPEAKER_01: One, what do you think of her as an artist?
- 1:12:25SPEAKER_01: And two, why do you think she is being has become so popular so quickly in the last six months, one would say.
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_00: Not to pull my string, but as you all know, I don't I can't keep up with the new girly, so it's hard.
- 1:12:37SPEAKER_00: I don't feel like she's necessarily being pushed on me because I don't pay attention enough.
- 1:12:42SPEAKER_01: So Yeah, so you're somewhat impervious to her come up.
- 1:12:46SPEAKER_00: But I like her.
- 1:12:47SPEAKER_00: I like her, I like what's playing on the radio.
- 1:12:50SPEAKER_00: Um, I saw her on Jimmy Fallon or something.
- 1:12:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:12:53SPEAKER_00: Uh and I she came off way younger than I was realizing to the point where I was like, oh, now I'm kind of like this aesthetic is wearing you a little bit.
- 1:13:01SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 1:13:02SPEAKER_00: When Gaga did it, I'm sure it was the exact same thing.
- 1:13:05SPEAKER_00: Like she was for attention.
- 1:13:06SPEAKER_00: I think the looks wore her less.
- 1:13:09SPEAKER_00: Then they're kind of for me, after seeing Chapel be a little nervous and young, seeming, they just suddenly became a costume that felt like a bit adopted.
- 1:13:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:13:21SPEAKER_01: I I will say Sam Taggart clocked her as being like uh one to watch, like I want to say, like two years ago.
- 1:13:28SPEAKER_01: He was like at the very beginning of her I believe it.
- 1:13:30SPEAKER_00: I always say on the record, like Sam has a pulse on the industry.
- 1:13:34SPEAKER_01: He truly does.
- 1:13:35SPEAKER_00: Um girlies has a really great Rolodex of music.
- 1:13:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:13:40SPEAKER_01: And I think I started to get into her once I started like listening to her saying, like her vocals are, I think, you know, A, incredible.
- 1:13:50SPEAKER_01: And B, like in comparison to a lot of what else is going on right now, which is like still pretty, you know, vocally pulled back a lot of the time, like just blowing her contemporaries out of the water.
- 1:14:02SPEAKER_01: Um, so one, I think people are like just excited to hear like singing.
- 1:14:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:14:09SPEAKER_01: Um, two, I think she's like honed in on this incredibly like Gen Z thing of like ultimately being like very, very put together and polished, but coming off as like incredibly quote unquote authentic.
- 1:14:26SPEAKER_01: Like a younger generation relates to it because like they see this thing of like imperfection, this kind of like constructed imperfection that that they find super uh like attractive.
- 1:14:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:14:37SPEAKER_01: Um, she's their lady gaga.
- 1:14:39SPEAKER_01: Like, I think it's clear now that she is their lady gaga, and this is what is gaga.
- 1:14:41SPEAKER_01: I don't think of her, you think.
- 1:14:42SPEAKER_00: I haven't heard her say anything about it, but that doesn't mean that she hasn't said something.
- 1:14:45SPEAKER_00: She's singing, I think Gaga's down.
- 1:14:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:14:47SPEAKER_00: For any vocalist.
- 1:14:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:14:50SPEAKER_00: Um which I respect I appreciate that.
- 1:14:51SPEAKER_00: She can blow.
- 1:14:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:14:53SPEAKER_00: Is her name supposed to be like Chaperone?
- 1:14:55SPEAKER_01: I have literally no idea.
- 1:14:57SPEAKER_01: No clue.
- 1:14:58SPEAKER_00: Chaperone.
- 1:14:59SPEAKER_01: Chaperone.
- 1:15:00SPEAKER_01: I'm um I don't love her uh kind of co-opting of uh I'm your favorite drag queens, favorite drag queen.
- 1:15:09SPEAKER_01: I mean she she's she will always credit Sasha Colby and she'll also credit drag queens, which I really, really appreciate.
- 1:15:14SPEAKER_00: But it's like she credited her, credited Sasha Colby after the fact, and she has every single time really gone.
- 1:15:22SPEAKER_01: And she had Sasha come out and like perform with her own stage.
- 1:15:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you can't.
- 1:15:24SPEAKER_01: I didn't know that.
- 1:15:25SPEAKER_00: That redeems her in a way, because she said something, she said, like, I'm your favorite palm stars.
- 1:15:31SPEAKER_01: I mean your favorite artist's favorite artist, yeah.
- 1:15:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, which Sasha Colby said, I'm your favorite drag queen's favorite drag queen, which was so true and such a good quote.
- 1:15:38SPEAKER_01: And your quote is, I'm your favorite alt Brooklyn comedian's least favorite drag queens, least favorite drag queen.
- 1:15:45SPEAKER_00: Who pretends to be a dog for a living.
- 1:15:49SPEAKER_00: Um but yeah, it was kind of like girl, you could have said, in the words of Shasta Colby, Shasha Colby, and then said it or something like that.
- 1:16:00SPEAKER_01: Well, there's something about it where it's like, you know, she's gone on record multiple times saying like she considers this character project that she's doing to like be a drag performance.
- 1:16:11SPEAKER_01: And in a lot of ways, it is, in the sense that everything is drag and we're all born naked, blah blah blah blah.
- 1:16:18SPEAKER_01: But you know, it's we're just live in a different era where it's like even when Gaga was coming up, like the idea of being surrounded by gay creatives who were like propelling her talent forward was still somewhat of like an underground behind the scenes kind of thing.
- 1:16:36SPEAKER_01: But now with Chapel, it's kind of like drag is so integrated into the mainstream.
- 1:16:42SPEAKER_01: It's like Chop Chapel Rone shouldn't know Sasha Colby.
- 1:16:45SPEAKER_01: You know what, unless unless she was like a lover of like the pageant scene.
- 1:16:49SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 1:16:49SPEAKER_01: It's like because drag race is so popular, it was put on her TV, so that's why she knows about drag.
- 1:16:55SPEAKER_01: Gaga knowing gay people and knowing drag was like back that would have been back in like 2007.
- 1:16:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:16:59SPEAKER_01: It's like it still would have been kind of like you still would have needed a little bit of cred to be able to like figure out Right.
- 1:17:04SPEAKER_00: It's kind of like someone being an ally when gay isn't cool versus someone being an ally when gay is cool.
- 1:17:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:17:10SPEAKER_00: So I does this fit you?
- 1:17:12SPEAKER_01: Let me try not.
- 1:17:13SPEAKER_01: Um why are you always scaring and hurting me?
- 1:17:19SPEAKER_01: Cause someone's gotta uh barely fit.
- 1:17:22SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, give give give the chapel songs a lesson.
- 1:17:26SPEAKER_01: Some of them are fun, some of them are annoying.
- 1:17:28SPEAKER_01: Um I only know the main one.
- 1:17:29SPEAKER_02: Which is I told you.
- 1:17:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:17:39SPEAKER_00: Well, we got a bowl, full, half full.
- 1:17:44SPEAKER_01: So you know you're on camera.
- 1:17:47SPEAKER_01: You're like leaving frame, leaning over.
- 1:17:50SPEAKER_00: I know you know you're on camera.
- 1:17:55SPEAKER_00: This is new territory.
- 1:17:57SPEAKER_01: Anyway, I think maybe we leave it there and we uh pick up in two weeks with another round of guest topics from the bowl.
- 1:18:04SPEAKER_00: Is this what the fencing mask is?
- 1:18:06SPEAKER_01: Kinda.
- 1:18:07SPEAKER_00: Are you enrolled?
- 1:18:09SPEAKER_01: Not yet.
- 1:18:09SPEAKER_00: Anyways.
- 1:18:12SPEAKER_01: See you next Tuesday.
- 1:18:13SPEAKER_01: See ya next next Tuesday.
- 1:18:15SPEAKER_01: And maybe we'll be back with uh a special guest.
- 1:18:18SPEAKER_00: We will be.
- 1:18:19SPEAKER_00: I think we've maxed out on the duo time.
- 1:18:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:18:23SPEAKER_00: Do you all miss Gina?
- 1:18:24SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 1:18:25SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 1:18:26SPEAKER_00: But I don't miss sweating and being hideous.
- 1:18:28SPEAKER_00: I like to like wear what I want to wear and overdress when I want to overdress, and I f and I can't.
- 1:18:33SPEAKER_00: I feel limited.
- 1:18:33SPEAKER_00: So that's frustrating.
- 1:18:35SPEAKER_00: But cooler weather to come.
- 1:18:38SPEAKER_00: February on.
- 1:18:40SPEAKER_00: Thank you for watching and listening and subscribing and liking doing all the things.
- 1:18:43SPEAKER_00: We love you.
- 1:18:44SPEAKER_00: We love you.
- 1:18:46SPEAKER_00: But not as much as we love chapel.
- 1:18:49SPEAKER_02: I told you so.
