- 0:00Tackling 10 Timeless truths. That will transform every aspect
- 0:03of your life. They are Timeless because they
- 0:06go across culture, they go from Century to Century.
- 0:09They're always going to be there and you're going to tackle them
- 0:13throughout the rest of your life.
- 0:14But they are very important for us to understand if Christ is
- 0:18sufficient and he is if Christ is all Supreme and he is which
- 0:21is the theme of the book of Hebrews then it will be seen and
- 0:26how you live your life it would manifest itself.
- 0:28Number one in your Option, number two, your commitment and
- 0:32never three your contentment, right?
- 0:34Those are the first three points.
- 0:36First one dealt with the fact that we need to respond with
- 0:39love to the needs of others. That's compassion with, we love
- 0:43the Brethren that are Among Us in the church or whether we are
- 0:47lovers of strangers or whether we are visiting those in prison,
- 0:50those who are suffering. We have compassion toward those
- 0:53who are in need. So you respond with love to the
- 0:56needs of others. Number two, you reaffirm your
- 0:59loyalty to me. I reach, this is commitment.
- 1:01We reaffirm our loyalty to marriage marriage is to be
- 1:04honored among all not just some, but by all.
- 1:09And that's so important. Because the Bible tells us the
- 1:12first Peter 3 first number seven, the husbands are to honor
- 1:15their wives as the most precious position that they have.
- 1:19So, I know I'm honoring marriage.
- 1:21When I honor my wife as my most precious possession because he
- 1:25honors me, the Lord says, I will honor.
- 1:27And so I honor the Lord by honoring my Wife.
- 1:30And but I honor my wife, I honor marriage and and I hold it in
- 1:34high esteem. I exalted as as the Bible says
- 1:37because it's God's Divine institution.
- 1:39He goes on to talk about the fact that they'll be great
- 1:42judgment upon Those who commit fornication and those who are
- 1:45adulterers So, you moved from compassion, to commitment to
- 1:51contentment. If we respond with loved what
- 1:55the needs of others and reaffirm your loyalty to marriage, then
- 1:58number three, you resist the love.
- 2:03Of money. Verse number 4, excuse me.
- 2:07Verse number 5, make sure that your character is free from the
- 2:11Love of Money, being content with what you have.
- 2:16For he himself has said, I will never desert you nor will I ever
- 2:21forsake you so that we confidently.
- 2:24Say the Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid.
- 2:29What will man do? To me.
- 2:35Resisting the love of money will be a Temptation.
- 2:40You will tackle throughout the rest of your life learning not
- 2:45to covet learning, not to be filled with greed and avarice.
- 2:51But to truly be content with the things that God has given to
- 2:57you. you know, one thing about the rich, They know something,
- 3:03the poor don't. And that is, they know that
- 3:07money cannot buy you happiness. The poor don't know that, but
- 3:14the rich do. They realize that.
- 3:19They realize that their richest can make them a little bit more
- 3:21comfortable. Maybe that would be true.
- 3:25Things a little bit more convenient, that would be true
- 3:27as well. But it can't bring you
- 3:32contentment. And certainly can bring you
- 3:35happiness. They know that.
- 3:39That money can buy them a bed. But money cannot buy them sleep.
- 3:47They know that money can buy them a gun.
- 3:50But money cannot buy them security.
- 3:54They know that money can buy them companionship.
- 3:57But it cannot buy them. Friendship.
- 4:02They know probably better than anyone else knows that money.
- 4:12Can buy you medicine. But it cannot buy you health.
- 4:18Money. Can buy you, pleasure.
- 4:24But it cannot buy you, peace. Money can buy you a crucifix but
- 4:29it can't buy you savior. Because the things that are
- 4:34eternal. Cannot be purchased.
- 4:39With things on the Earth. This is the writer of Hebrews.
- 4:45Is going to emphasize that very unique point.
- 4:50That of Christ really is enough. if you really is sufficient, he
- 4:56is Supreme Over All. Are you content with that?
- 5:04Is that good enough for you? Or is there always a little bit
- 5:09more? You must have. one officer said
- 5:13to him, little is not enough. Nothing is ever enough.
- 5:22That's true. To whom little is not enough.
- 5:28Nothing is ever. Enough. so, the question comes,
- 5:36Are you one who resists the Love of Money?
- 5:41By being content with the things that you have.
- 5:46The word content is unique word. Paul would use the Greek word
- 5:51because the stoics believe that to be content.
- 5:55You had to be self-sufficient, satisfied and independent other
- 6:01words, you were independent of anything, external independent
- 6:06of anything around you, because you are satisfied, insufficient
- 6:10with where you're at. Paul would use that word.
- 6:16As he talks about contentment of Philippians chapter 4, when he
- 6:19said that, I've learned to be content in whatever state I am
- 6:22in. And he uses that word, simply
- 6:25because it's not about his own self, sufficiency, but in God's
- 6:30sufficiency in his life Because God's efficiency leads to God
- 6:37satisfaction and God satisfaction leads.
- 6:39You not to be dependent upon external things but completely
- 6:43dependent upon the God, who is all sufficient for everything.
- 6:48So the word sufficient or the word adequate?
- 6:52We were satisfied. All the same.
- 6:58Is that which characterizes those who is just the love?
- 7:03Of money. How about you?
- 7:09Are you satisfied with your salary or do you need just a
- 7:11little bit more? Are you satisfied with your
- 7:16home? Oh, do you something a little
- 7:19bit bigger? Are you satisfied?
- 7:26with the number of children, you have Or do you need?
- 7:29Just need one more. Are you satisfied with what God
- 7:36has given to you? You see if Christ is all
- 7:42sufficient in all Supreme, then he will be enough for me.
- 7:50So, the Bible speaks a lot about money, believe it or not. and as
- 7:55it does, that explains to us, many things, That would need to
- 8:00be aware of in fact over in first, Timothy chapter 6.
- 8:03Paul says this, For the Love of Money is the root of all sorts
- 8:07of evil and some by longing for it.
- 8:10Have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves
- 8:14with many griefs. You know, think about that.
- 8:20It's called it cause Dimas second, Timothy 4.
- 8:23Verse number 10, Who Loved this present world to wander away
- 8:27from the faith. His love for the things of the
- 8:31world, his love for money. How about Judas?
- 8:37Judas had a love for money. He's willing to betray his Lord
- 8:43for a certain amount of money. But no one ever believe that
- 8:47Judas will be that kind of guy because Judas was the most
- 8:50trusted of all the disciples because he held the money.
- 8:55Everybody thought that Judas was the most Godly person.
- 8:59The most holy person, the most committed person.
- 9:06But he was the son of perdition. Because down deep, he loved.
- 9:13Money. Unless, and Sapphira.
- 9:17They were killed in church for their Love of Money.
- 9:21They loved us so much, he would lie about how much they would
- 9:23solar home for. And God struck him dead.
- 9:29In church. So we must learn to resist the
- 9:35Love of Money. In fact, it says this in verse
- 9:37number, nine, halves, 436, those who want to get, rich fall into
- 9:41temptation, not those who are rich.
- 9:44Those who want to get rich, there's a difference, right?
- 9:47Abraham was rich. Joe was rich, right?
- 9:52All you have to do is read scripture.
- 9:53Solomon was rich. Which is man who ever lived.
- 9:59So it's not riches that caused you to fall Temptation into
- 10:03temptation. It's the love of money.
- 10:06It's the love of riches. So he says, but those who want
- 10:10to get, rich fall into temptation and a snare and many
- 10:14foolish and harmful desires, which plunge men into ruin and
- 10:20destruction. Wow.
- 10:23Why is that? Because riches are deceitful.
- 10:29We know that from the parable of the sower and the soil in Mark's
- 10:33gospel as the Lord speaks about the Thorny soil.
- 10:39And how that thorny soil chokes out the seed of the Gospel.
- 10:44For Mark's gospel, the 4th chapter.
- 10:46It says this. And others are the ones in whom
- 10:51the seed was sown among the thorns.
- 10:53And these are the ones who have heard the word, but the worries
- 10:55of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the
- 10:59desires of other things, enter in and choke the word, and it
- 11:04becomes unfruitful Riches are so deceitful.
- 11:11And we don't even recognize it. But they are.
- 11:16Listen to what the Bible says in the Book of Proverbs.
- 11:19The 23rd chapter of the fourth verse.
- 11:22Do not weary yourself to gain wealth.
- 11:27Do not wear yourself to do that. Cease from your consideration of
- 11:33it. When you set your eyes on it, it
- 11:38is gone. For wealth can certainly makes
- 11:42itself wings like an eagle that flies toward the heavens.
- 11:47How true is that? Every time I go to the gas pump,
- 11:51I'm like there goes my money. Flying away, spreading wings and
- 11:55off it goes. Whether it's the grocery store,
- 11:58whether it's the gas pump, whether it's McDonald's,
- 12:01everything's just flying away. Is there one minute gone?
- 12:05The next Solomon knows this. He's a rich man. in fact, he
- 12:11says he's words in in Proverbs chapter, Chapter 24.
- 12:24I'm sorry. My bad.
- 12:27Chapter 29. A faithful man.
- 12:33Will abound with blessings. But he who makes haste to be
- 12:38rich will not go unpunished. One who saw him was talking to
- 12:46you there. How about this verse 22, a man
- 12:51with an evil eye. Hastens after wealth.
- 12:56And does not know that want will come.
- 13:02Upon him, in other words, he's hastening to get rich, he will
- 13:07do all he can to gain wealth. And when he does, he doesn't
- 13:11recognize that, he's just going to want it all the more because
- 13:15he can never get enough of it. and so over in, Proverbs Chapter
- 13:2611. Solomon would say these words.
- 13:33Proverbs chapter 11 verse number 28, he who trusts in his riches.
- 13:41Will fall. But the righteous will flourish
- 13:46like a green leaf. The Bible has so much to say
- 13:51about riches. And wealth and the love of those
- 13:56things. So the writer of Hebrews comes
- 13:58back and says, listen if Christ really is all sufficient for
- 14:01you, you have to learn to be content satisfied with what God
- 14:07has given to you. Because that's going to enable
- 14:11you to resist the Love of Money. Back early on in the book of
- 14:16Deuteronomy. As as Moses is reiterating the
- 14:21law of the nation of Israel. Listen to what he says.
- 14:23Verse number 11 of Deuteronomy chapter 8, be aware that you do.
- 14:28Not forget the Lord your God beware.
- 14:36He's still in this Israel. Those who had seen the, the
- 14:40miraculous plagues and in Egypt, those have been taken through
- 14:44the Wilderness for 40 years and seen all that God had done by
- 14:47providing water for them and providing food for them, taking
- 14:50care of them that the soles of their shoes.
- 14:53Never wore out. Got to care them.
- 14:58So Moses said, Beware. Lest you forget?
- 15:03The Lord your God. By not keeping his Commandments
- 15:07and his ordinances and statutes which I am commanding you today?
- 15:11Otherwise when you have eaten and are satisfied, have built
- 15:15good houses and lived in them. And when you're hurting your
- 15:18flocks multiply and your silver and your gold multiply and all
- 15:23you have multiplies, then your heart will become proud.
- 15:28And you will forget the Lord your God who brought you out
- 15:33from the land of Egypt. Beware.
- 15:37When you're still wearing your gold multiplying. when your
- 15:40flocks multiply when things are going really good and what the
- 15:45built-in curse that is, You just forget all about God.
- 15:51Is do. Because honestly, this in verse
- 15:54number 17, otherwise you may see in your heart, my power and the
- 15:58strength of my hand made me this wealth, but you shall remember
- 16:01the Lord your God for it is he who is giving you power to make
- 16:06wealth? God gives you power to make
- 16:11wealth. God gave Elon Musk the power to
- 16:15make wealth. I smarter than you are.
- 16:19You sleep naughty better looking than you are.
- 16:23But God gave him power to make wealth.
- 16:27Soon. Bill Gates.
- 16:30God gave him the power to make wealth.
- 16:33God, does that? We forget that.
- 16:39So, we need to understand that. The root of evil is the love and
- 16:44the Lust For more money. So I could have more things.
- 16:54In Luke's gospel. The 18th chapter.
- 17:01Listen to these words, you know them.
- 17:03Well, a ruler, a rich ruler asked him saying, good teacher.
- 17:08What shall I do to inherit eternal life?
- 17:09Luke 18, 18. And Jesus said to him, why do
- 17:13you call me good? No one is good.
- 17:14Except God alone. You know, the Commandments do
- 17:16not commit adultery do not murder, do not steal, do not
- 17:18bear false, witness, honor your father and mother and he said
- 17:21all these things I have kept from my youth.
- 17:23I've done all that. What must I do to inherit
- 17:27eternal life in Christ quotes? The second half of the
- 17:29decalogue? I've done that.
- 17:33I'm good. That mean I'm in.
- 17:38Does that mean I get to inherit eternal life?
- 17:42Because I haven't committed adultery, I don't steal, I don't
- 17:46lie. I've always thought of my father
- 17:49and mother. So, does that mean I'm in?
- 17:54She says, one thing. You still act just one, only
- 17:58one. So we wanted matters.
- 18:02Is one thing you lack. Sell all that you possess
- 18:06distributed to the poor. And you shall have treasure in
- 18:10heaven. And come follow me.
- 18:15Are you got used to all that? You have?
- 18:18Gives to the poor. Does that mean, if I if I just
- 18:22give away everything that I have, I'm going to heaven.
- 18:24No, that's not it. So Christ is saying Christ.
- 18:27Knew that in his heart he had another God.
- 18:33And that God was the god of possessions and money.
- 18:37He was an idolater. That's why Christ and quote, the
- 18:40first half of the decalogue because of all deals with his
- 18:43relationship with God. You shall have no other gods
- 18:45before me, but he did. He had a God that was preeminent
- 18:50his life. He had a God that made him
- 18:51sufficient in life. He had a God that was Supreme in
- 18:54his life and it wasn't the Lord God of Israel.
- 18:56It was his money was his possessions Christ knows that
- 19:02Sue Christ, hit him where his heart is for, where your
- 19:07treasure, is there. Your heart will be also.
- 19:12First way 923 says, but when he had heard these things he became
- 19:15very sad for. He was extremely rich. and Jesus
- 19:21looked at him and said, how hard it is for those who are wealthy
- 19:26to enter the kingdom of God, It is easier for a camel to go
- 19:30through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the
- 19:32kingdom of God. They heard it said, then who Can
- 19:39ever be saved. Because in there, Day and time,
- 19:44they believe that wealth was a gift from God.
- 19:47And God, only bless the righteous.
- 19:49And because he did the righteous were the richest.
- 19:56Jesus says the things that are impossible with people.
- 20:01Are possible with God the Russians.
- 20:05This is humanly possible. Who can be saved, nobody.
- 20:12You can't. It's absolutely humanly
- 20:15impossible to ever get saved. There's nothing you can do to
- 20:19save you, nothing. Nothing.
- 20:23You said wait a minute, wait a minute.
- 20:25The Bible says to as many as received him to them gave he
- 20:29power to become the sons of God. So I am receiving him but you
- 20:32got to be the next verse. Who are born not of the will of
- 20:36the flesh, nor of the will of, man.
- 20:39But of the will. Of God.
- 20:45No one comes to me Christ, as a John 6.
- 20:49Let's the father draws him. You can't get there on your own.
- 20:54You can't make it on your own. And one of the big hindrances
- 20:58for us to see that of is the riches in the well that we
- 21:01possess because I don't need God.
- 21:05I have my bank account, I can go to the doctor and he got there.
- 21:08I choose to I could buy any car. I want to bike by anyhow, I want
- 21:11to buy, I can do whatever I want to do.
- 21:13Like I said to my kids to the school, I want to send them to
- 21:15who needs God. so, I express that by saying, I'm sufficient
- 21:22in and of myself. That's why Christ always
- 21:26matches, man against his standard, his law.
- 21:31Because man needs to beg for mercy.
- 21:33Cry out to God. I can't do that for the Bible
- 21:36says, were dead in our trespasses and sins can dead men
- 21:41speak? No, can did men think.
- 21:44Nope. Condemned been walk.
- 21:46Nope. What can dead men do?
- 21:48Nothing but lie. There and be what dead they're
- 21:51dead. you're born dead, you're born, spiritually dead, you're
- 21:57incapable of doing anything spiritual So God has to make you
- 22:01alive, his to Quicken you, his to work in your heart and when
- 22:05he does you respond by faith and all these says so I salvation is
- 22:11a supernatural work of God. It's a miracle.
- 22:14It's very cold, a new creation, right?
- 22:18New Creation. So God does how about this?
- 22:25Luke chapter. 12 crisis is waxing, eloquent about the
- 22:29Triune nature of God, the revelation of God, he's talking
- 22:34about the danger of false religion.
- 22:36He's just he's just preaching as strong as he can.
- 22:42In the come to verse 13 of Luke chapter 12.
- 22:45Someone in the crowd said the end teacher teacher tell my
- 22:48brother to divide the family inheritance with me.
- 22:50It's almost like he couldn't wait for Jesus to take a breath
- 22:53because once Jesus Took a breath, he had to insert, what
- 22:56he had to say. Jesus, tell my brother that he
- 23:01must split the inheritance with me.
- 23:04Evidently his brother was in the audience.
- 23:07First brother, to hear from Jesus.
- 23:10So Jesus says, man. Who put him be a judge or
- 23:15arbitrator over you? I didn't come to judge between
- 23:21you and someone else and who gets what money and who doesn't
- 23:24get what that's what. That's what I'm here for.
- 23:28So he says this beware and be on your guard against every form of
- 23:34greed. Bio tells us in Colossians 3:5
- 23:39at greens idolatry. Be aware be on your guard.
- 23:45For not even when one has an abundance, does his life
- 23:48consists of his possessions. He told them a parable saying
- 23:52the land of rich man was very productive.
- 23:54He began to reasoning to himself saying what shall I do since I
- 23:57have no place to store my crops that he said this is what I will
- 24:00do. I will tear down my Barns and
- 24:01build larger ones and there I will store all my grain and my
- 24:04goods and I will say to my soul soul, you have many Goods laid
- 24:07up for many years to come, take your ease eat drink and be
- 24:10merry, because hit him. You fool.
- 24:14This night, your very soul is required of you.
- 24:18Now, who will own what you? Have prepared.
- 24:27So is man who stores up Treasures for himself?
- 24:32And is not rich. Toward God.
- 24:39Drive Hebrews. Once these people to resist the
- 24:43love, the ler, the longing. From money.
- 24:53But be content with such things as you have.
- 24:59Be status fine with what God has given to you.
- 25:03Because he truly is the all sufficient god of the universe.
- 25:09Psalm 62, 10 says, if riches increase do not set your heart
- 25:16on them, Second Corinthians 6. Verse number 10.
- 25:24Paul says having nothing yet. I possess everything.
- 25:34That's contentment. and so, he quotes to verses one from
- 25:42Joshua, one from Psalms, remember the writer of Hebrews
- 25:44does not tell you where he's quoting it from, he doesn't have
- 25:48to, they're Jews, they're masters of the Old Testament.
- 25:54Severe simply says he himself. Has said, I will never leave you
- 25:58nor forsake you so that we can complete say, the Lord is my
- 26:01helper. I will not be afraid.
- 26:02What will man do to? Me takes him back to the
- 26:04scriptures. Why?
- 26:05Because of Grace is all sufficient Supreme.
- 26:08Everything he says is sufficient.
- 26:11And supreme. So my time is fleeting, so let
- 26:15me give you six principles in six minutes, Fat Chance.
- 26:22What do I do? How do I resist the Love of
- 26:25Money? Six principles, you're ready.
- 26:29First of all, there needs to be a confession of my unacceptable
- 26:33passion. A confession of my unacceptable
- 26:38passion. The love of money is an
- 26:41unacceptable passion. Not an acceptable one.
- 26:46Resist the Love of Money. Pugs I'll talk about Timothy
- 26:51being a man of God flee. These things, the man of God
- 26:54cannot be a man who's the lover of money.
- 26:59Can't flee these things and Timothy pursue gaudiness pursue
- 27:05righteousness, pursue Faith, but don't pursue the love of money.
- 27:10So there needs to be a confession of my unacceptable
- 27:13Pursuit. I got to recognize that my my,
- 27:16my playing the lottery every week.
- 27:18Is that unacceptable Pursuit? Shoot.
- 27:21An acceptable passion. Thinking that it's the hastening
- 27:25to get rich quick. We just read several verses.
- 27:28The Book of Proverbs is speaking about against that, right?
- 27:32It's a quick fix to my, my indebtedness is the Quick Fix to
- 27:36my financial woes. There's be confession of my
- 27:43unacceptable passion. He conceals a transgression will
- 27:47never prosper. But he who confesses?
- 27:53And forsakes his sin. So, find compassion. these point
- 28:00over to not only use our confession of my unacceptable
- 28:04passion, but there is a cessation From my unknown
- 28:12fillable. Pursuit.
- 28:16A cessation from my unfillable pursuit.
- 28:20In other words this Pursuit is never going to feel you.
- 28:24Listen to what Solomon says, Ecclesiastes chapter 5.
- 28:27Verse number 10, he who loves money.
- 28:33Will never be satisfied. Does it get any clearer than
- 28:36that? He loves money will never be
- 28:39satisfied. He loves money will never be
- 28:46satisfied with money, nor he who loves it with abundance with its
- 28:51income for this to is emptiness. Vanity.
- 28:59Worthlessness. See, I just can't confess the
- 29:03fact that I have an unacceptable passion.
- 29:05I had to cease pursuing that which cannot fill my life.
- 29:12He who confesses and forsakes his way will find compassion.
- 29:17So there's a confession and a forsaking we can't confess our
- 29:21sin all the while Conjuring up in our mind, another Avenue by
- 29:25which we can pursue our sin. That'll work.
- 29:29God knows your heart anyway, right.
- 29:32So there's a confession of my unacceptable.
- 29:35Passion, a cessation from my unfillable.
- 29:40Pursuit. The number three.
- 29:43A comprehension of his. Unfathomable person.
- 29:53I must learn to comprehend God. He's all sufficient.
- 29:58He's unspeakable, he's unfathomable and therefore, I
- 30:04seek Him and only him. I love what it says in Luke's
- 30:08gospel. The 12th Chapter 30 verse Your
- 30:12father knows what you need before you even ask him.
- 30:18Wow. I wish that was that way with my
- 30:21children, I wish I knew what they needed before they ask me.
- 30:24I'm not that way. He would go on to say, if your
- 30:28father, if your father on Earth knows what you need and gives
- 30:32you good things while on Earth, how much more will your father
- 30:35in heaven? Give you the spirit of God to
- 30:37those who ask him. I'm going to give you the Holy
- 30:40Spirit, who is the Divine comforter?
- 30:44Who is the, who is the embodiment of all truth?
- 30:49He's your guide, he's your peace.
- 30:54Yeah, the Holy Spirit. You have everything.
- 30:58And so, we need to comprehend his unfathomable person.
- 31:05He's not only omniscient, he's good.
- 31:09No good thing to the Lord. With whole, for those who walk
- 31:11uprightly, he's a good God. Psalm 34 Verse number 10, makes
- 31:18it very clear. When the psalmist says this, the
- 31:22Young Lion is, you lack and suffer hunger, but they seek the
- 31:25Lord. She's not being anyone's.
- 31:29Of any good thing? Wow.
- 31:34Those who seek the Lord shall not be in any want of anything.
- 31:37That is good because God is good and God, who is the author of
- 31:42all goodness? Bestows his goodness on those
- 31:45who walk uprightly? Come out God's on the presence,
- 31:54right? That's why the author quotes For
- 31:59the Book of Joshua, I will never leave you.
- 32:01Nor will I ever desert you? I'm always there.
- 32:05That's how I know what you need before you even ask me.
- 32:09I'm always there. Not because I see your knee
- 32:11because I know your need before you even put on your tongue, I
- 32:14know it all. That's why quotes from the
- 32:21psalmist, Psalm 118 when he says.
- 32:26There was my helper. I will not be afraid.
- 32:28What can man do to me? That's his omnipotence.
- 32:33It's the reason we love monies could be.
- 32:34Don't love God and nothing know who he is.
- 32:39So there comes a confession of my unacceptable passion, a
- 32:43cessation of my unfillable Pursuits, the comprehension of
- 32:48his unfathomable person number for it.
- 32:53Conviction, Of his unalterable Providence.
- 33:01His unalterable Providence for same Route, 27, the Lord.
- 33:07Makes one poor and the Lord makes one rich.
- 33:15That's Providence. You thought you were Rich
- 33:18because you were smart. Oh no.
- 33:21Shame on you. You thought you were Rich
- 33:24because you had a good education from a good to know.
- 33:29You thought you were Rich? Because you were creative and
- 33:31Innovative and a good idea? No, the Lord makes you rich.
- 33:35The Lord makes you poor. He's in charge of those things.
- 33:40Deuteronomy 10:18, it's by the Lord's power.
- 33:44We obtain wealth not by your power, not by your might not buy
- 33:48your intellect, it's by the Lord's power.
- 33:52That's why there needs to be a conviction of God's unalterable
- 33:55Providence. Listen you have what you have
- 33:58because in God's Providence, that's what you have.
- 34:02But I just want a little bit more.
- 34:04Don't you think that God knows you want more?
- 34:06And if God knew you could handle more guess what he gave?
- 34:08You more. But he knows the deceitfulness
- 34:13of riches. He knows how easily you'll
- 34:16forget your God. God's Providence rules and
- 34:21Reigns Over All. Number 6.
- 34:26The longer the six minutes. There needs to be a
- 34:29concentration on his. Shakeable.
- 34:36Promises. A concentration on his
- 34:41unshakable promises. If he says he's never going to
- 34:46leave you nor forsake you It's promised.
- 34:49If the Lord is your helper. It's a promise.
- 34:55My God, shall supply. All your needs.
- 34:57According to his riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.
- 35:01She promised. Since shakeable.
- 35:06Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things, but things
- 35:11shall be added unto you. Don't worry about what you eat.
- 35:15Don't worry about what you wear. And certainly, don't worry about
- 35:19how long, or how short you live, that's all the Matthew chapter 6
- 35:23because all that is providential.
- 35:27Eat what you want. You're still going to die on
- 35:29time. What you eat is not cause you to
- 35:33live longer God's in charge of all those things.
- 35:37Right. So therefore we realize that God
- 35:42will close us. He will feed us.
- 35:44He will take care of us. Psalm chapter 37.
- 35:50Verse number 25. I've been old and I've been
- 35:54Young. Yet, I have not seen the
- 35:57righteous forsaken or his descendants begging bread.
- 36:03David says, And so there needs to be a concentration on God's
- 36:11on shakeable. Promises.
- 36:18And Proverbs Chapter 30 verse number 7.
- 36:21Someone says this. Two things, I ask of you.
- 36:27Do not refuse me before I die. Keep deception and lies far from
- 36:32me. Give me neither poverty, nor
- 36:35riches. Feed me with the food.
- 36:38That is my portion. That I not be full and deny you
- 36:45and say, who is the Lord? Or that I not be in want and
- 36:49steel and profane the name of my God.
- 36:58Christendom, when he was. About to die. in the book of in
- 37:08the, if you were read it from, As he stood before the Roman
- 37:13Emperor and was threatened under banishment.
- 37:18It says. Now, cats not banished me for
- 37:22this world as my father's house. To which the emperor said I was
- 37:28Lady then. Yeah.
- 37:31Alcance not said the noble Champion.
- 37:34The faith for my life is hid with Christ in God.
- 37:39I will take away thy Treasures. Yeah.
- 37:43Now Kansas not for my treasures are in heaven and my heart is
- 37:47there. Also.
- 37:49But I will drive the away from man and thou shalt have no
- 37:53friend left. Okay, it's not For, I have a
- 37:59friend in Heaven from whom thou canst not separate me.
- 38:05I defy thee for there is nothing that thou canst do.
- 38:12To hurt me. Why?
- 38:16Because he recognized the Savior as the all sufficient supreme
- 38:21god of his life. How about you?
- 38:25The Way You Are. Let's pray.
- 38:28Father, we thank you for today. The opportunity you give us as
- 38:32being your word. And pray that we protected, the
- 38:36Lord's table. You remind us once again?
- 38:39Of the great all-sufficient. Satisfying provision.
- 38:45Of your salvation for All Souls. In Jesus name, amen.
