was in prayer, I was like, oh, that sounds that sounds cool.

Yeah. I figured it was a part of a scripture whatever I ain't

So I went and found the scripture. It's I believe its Psalms forty five,

and just that piece says, my tongue is like the pen of a

ready writer, right, So you know that's how he bet he be.

He'd be helping me out, that's what he be doing. He'd be confirming

me like that. I'd be like, oh, you was for real?

Okay, okay, lord, well I do that. So that's why I'm

sitting right here on the side of Jessica. And because she agreed at the

the reason being is because we decided not to stop. So we was like,

couldn't really make sense or just to five why we were doing seasons and

not just episodes. And so that was a big moment for me because technically

would have been over with weeks ago, a couple a few weeks ago.

Wow. I started my YouTube channel and one of my friends Breath, she

encouraged encouraged me to do something that she was doing was just like sharing the

word or whatever she was saying is. Her YouTube channel is called Life for

brit Uncle. We're gonna tag her because the one thing I don't do is

hog Okay, one thing I don't do is try to shave people whatever.

She has a great YouTube channel. She speaks prophetically, she shares her life

and it's some good information, so y'all go follow her as well. But

it's called life for brit Uncle and she's been doing that for a while as

well. But she encouraged me to do it on my YouTube. Baby,

I really don't have anything I would rather interview people like I would rather do

things. Not really, I didn't know the space of the podcast world.

Wasn't really into that. I was just recording on my phone and putting,

you know, learning how to edd it. I was using inshot at the

time to do some of the stuff and using the basic form of the Apple.

it was called just ass. I've been calling this thing a thing for a

minute and I've been practicing. People think I just started, like they're like,

But the thing about it is people were unable to see because I didn't have

a lower consistency because, for one, consistency is hard in this realm.

I'm gonna say this, the ram that I'm in right now. The reason

why is because for me it was it was I thought it was hard.

Let me just quote that. I thought it was hard because from when I

was doing it by myself, two, I wasn't managing my time properly to

be consistent, and three I was by myself. I was by myself,

and so when Desiray came along, it was just like, first of all,

costs Okay, I know how much effort you have to put into this,

and then I know your quality of work. So this girl, actually this

time last year I was received. I was really in a rebranding season.

You remember that I was in a rebranding season and Desi Ray, I was

trying not to use the Woman of God. I was trying not to use

you to do my pictures. Why is that, Jessica, Because everybody else

in the community was using you and I did not. I was trying to

because I didn't want people to think I don't like people to build relationships with

me based off my gilts, So I didn't wanna do that to you.

I actually kind of like you, your little quirky and weird like me.

So it's like, Jessica, l I liked you, so I was like,

I don't. I don't wanna do that. And then I was like,

you know what, I don't wanna get to know anybody else in this

That was a AB moment. It was It was a moment. So I'm

dealing with I'm dealing with all those emotions and thoughts or whatever. But then

once God does the thing, he does it and our the shoot was like

people are still talking about those photos. People are still talking about Like I

gave this woman a vision. She tried to get me to write it down.

I didn't do too well on that, but I gave her a vision.

And shout out to Faith Leonard. She is my go to stylist,

Like anytime I need her, she is on deck, Like I can't wait

for our next project because she's it's just like she just keeps, you know,

showing up and just being being herself. But you know, she styled

me. I kind of I told her the same vision. I told there's

Ray and then both of them just kind of like boom daddy is like it

was. It was beautiful. So that was the moment where we kind of

like deal in a little bit deeper into our relationship. And I think I

was on the second I feel I was in the middle of my first season

when I did the photo shoot, and then I was on my second.

The second season started and I'm in the middle of the second season. If

y'all been watching, I'm in the middle of the second season, and the

woman the guy reached out to me and she was like, Hey, I

need help because I'm gonna add this as a service. I was like,

Okay, what what do you need help with? I'm thinking I'm about to

help her, not knowing that she's about to help me. And then like

this iron shopping, iron type of relationship has really pushed this podcast. Like

I can strongly say, uh, nope, Jessica, Oh Jessica, who

cutting onions? Uh uh I can strongly say that I don't know if just

as the podcast would be still even existing if I didn't have you as a

purpose partner. Yeah, I was not going to do this on this episode.

This is not going in a way that I really wanted to go,

but it's going. Yeah. I I'm still learning to believe in myself and

this and your level of accountability and encouragement and your interests because you could have

asked anybody to help you or to expose you to this, and that you

could you ask anybody, but you follow the Lord like you were talking about

the other other day and obedience, And I don't take that lightly. I

to do this by myself anymore. I've enjoyed it, even even even this

as I'm learning, We're gonna have somebody to do that one day. We're

looking for interns of y'all don't know even if I'm learning, just to get

comfortable on this side of the camera, because I know that's a part of

my destiny, yeah, right to be able to have a space to do

that that's safe and with somebody who has the same level accountability. You know

what I'm saying, Like, it's it's sometimes it's it should it shouldn't be

this way, But sometimes it's easier to show up when you know somebody is

depending on you, even if you're not even there to show up for yourself.

always something there for us. So I'm grateful, you know, I don't

question. So there's there's some parts of my life I just hold whole hardly

trust God in right. There are some parts that we're still we're still we're

still learning. But when he puts he puts somebody in my spirit to do

whatever for I'm open to that. That's one thing that I One area that

I am very open to is giving how he tells me to give, because

I so tried to tell you know, I tried. I tried to tell

you no multiple times, and and Brent told me. He taught me I

was wrong for trying. He told me I was wrong. He was like,

how you gonna tell somebody that told was told by God to do this

and you just gonna interrupt what God told them to do? Like, yeah,

I was wrong. So it's it's taught me to trust. This process

is really taught me to trust, because at first I think I've gotten better.

I've gotten better. I'll be like, okay, this is what we're

doing, all right, we ain't doing that, Okay. The first I

was to ask me no questions. Really for the most part, listen like

taught me a lot. Our relationships taught me a lot. So we're at

the end of the year, like we keep saying, and so that's where

or three highlights for you from from this year for me personally, you personally,

or even from the podcast. One was getting to do the podcast.

Yay, I'm glad the podcast because when you're when you and it was just

such. It just confirmed to me, like when you just when we just

learned to trust God, and this was something that I wasn't even really doing.

Like I had a friend that has a podcast and she it was audio,

and so she would take the audio and just put put the audio on

YouTube. But I'd be like, but people go to YouTube to see something,

like to see you, so what we doing? So I just literally

had one a camera and some little my little roll wireless goals, and we

was in my living room and we just recorded. She was we were doing

the content that she had already put out, but she was just trying to

do it in a video for him. I was like, oh, this

is cool. But I thought I was gonna it was gonna be more focused

on photography, right, but then when he started dropping this thing, dropping

this in my spirit, I was like, oh okay. So as I

began to begin to walk the journey is different, things just started to unfold,

you know, ideas and you know resources, and I've learned a lot.

I'm still learning. That's why That's why I be like, I'm just

telling her not to do nothing right now because I'm just learning how to put

the stuff together, okay, And not not make it burn up or something.

You know what I'm saying because she just said I was No, I

didn't say you was gonna burn. I'm trying to make sure it don't burn

be and burn together. But yeah, really, being just just ask is

It's just expanded me in so many different ways. I can, I can,

I can concur like doing this, doing this podcast, inviting the community

to hear our conversations. It's been it's proven to me that I can be

consistent because I felt like I could, like I always feel it something because

something always comes up or I'm not encouraged enough to do it or have me

self confidence to do it. But like you said, listen, when God

wants something, he's gonna like send you. Not even y'all don't even consider

you're a ram in a bush. But just like an accountability, like Moses

I got a studying problem. So you have to figure something out like

this ain't me like so, but you got to be open to it.

open to receiving the help because like He's given us the capacity for things,

but sometimes the capacity is to be purposed with somebody. Yeah you know what

I'm saying. And things begin to unlock as we're obedying and just stepping out

I'm just gonna have to say the year itself, it started in my mind

the year started, I'm gonna say it was. I felt like it started

as trash. I felt like that just because of the place that I was

in, you know, just financially. And the crazy thing is I made

a decision to step back from and it don't make sense. Like I battled

with it because it did not make sense to step back from doing hair and

I was doing you know, I'm still doing. I was. I still

had a few clients that I serviced, and I was doing photography here and

there, but it wasn't where it was for my comfort level. And in

that season, I really got to see God, Like I can talk about

God being my provider, girl, because I know, I know he was

my provider. Like I got to see that. But before I could just

say the words, oh, Jehovah, Jira, yeah, Jehovah. But

to know him as that for real, it's been so beautiful. And then

even just the things that have come from that, just the healing and the

the mind transformations and the trust, like I trust him now, Like I

said, I trust him like I trust him now looking law, trust the

Lord, trust trust God. And we'll talk about what I trust God.

And I'm just learning to fully trust him in all areas. So really,

this this whole year has just it's been interesting. It's definitely been a a

wilderness type season where you know, it's just been me and him for real,

and he's just been leading, got me man and and and that's new

for me, Like I ain't never been on that type of journey before.

Yeah, that's good, that's good for me. I would have to say,

I have a there's been a few things that happened that has been like

cool this year. But the moment my I feel like my my little mindset

shift about my positioning on this podcast was going to the podcast Summit Day Donny

I I would say that that I don't I don't know how to define

or put that into words. That was my first entrepreneur h entrepreneur investments time

you invested in yes, right right. I had never spiritually, I hadn't

been to conferences on conferences on conferences and all that good stuff. But to

be around people that were interested in starting the podcast or just different creatives.

I just came there with me and my phone, and but then I saw

people with like cameras and like they were taking them, they took they took

themselves seriously. So I put myself around people that took themselves seriously and around

that I was still just like, Okay, I'm doing this podcast. But

m m. You know, I didn't that the Podcast Summit allowed me to

envision the podcast as a business. Wow. Sometimes you see it before you

see them. Yeah, yeah, Like, but I had to be in

the atmosphere of people that was taking that level, that that realm of business

to the next level for themselves. And literally hear Dave say, your problem

is that you're looking at your podcast as just a podcast, and your podcast

is a no I lied. Dave did not say that. Say that.

Donny did. Donny said that. Donny said that your problem is that you're

looking at your podcast as just a little bit of a podcast. You you

can't take it seriously until you look at as a business, right, And

that was probably the starting point when my brain said, girl, like,

it might not make sense to them, it might not make sense to even

you right now, but just keep doing it, just keep going. Just

why are you doing this? I've done a lot of things because I've been

obedient to the Lord. I figured out my why through that process. Some

people have the guilt of understanding, oh, well I was trying to do

this. No, I really wasn't trying to do anything other than okay,

the Lord kept bringing this up. I don't know why the Lord keeps bringing

this up. I'm gonna do this, And then like, I have this

urge to go to this podcast summit. Why do I want to do this

podcast summit? Why do I want to join the seventh figure podcast community?

Why? Because the thing is, I mean, it's not like it was

six thousand dollars whatever, but for me at the time, it wasn't cheap

okay for me at the time. If we keep it a buck, it

wasn't cheap. So it was a real investment. And so now, like

I said, I'm part of the seventh figure podcast community, and I'm with

different podcasters. We're learning virtually on how to continue to extend our podcast,

do well in that, and then we meet once a month. So it's

like I've been man talking to be able to talk to Dave, to be

able to talk to CJ, to be able to talk to Carl, like

people don't even like, people don't even know how brilliant Carl is. It's

just like all of them. And I shouldn't be disrespectful coach Dave, coach

I shouldn't be talking to like talking about them like they're my homeboys. But

just that moment twenty twenty three, that's what changed changed me. That's probably

I made was to go to that podcast, go to the one that was

in Miami, because I got the experience Miami in a different way, and

I went by myself. I went alone. Let's be I that was huge.

I went alone and I networked, I talked. I meant some great

people even that I'm community still communicating with now and that are doing some amazing

things. So it just on just levels on top of levels, Like I

just I'm grateful that I went and I made that investment because it's the reason
