Last chance, New Yorkers: bid on iconic MetroCard vending machines before they’re gone forever. The MTA’s auctioning off both standard and Express models—some with pedals, others hefty and heavy—before the OMNY era fully takes over. Don’t expect them to work (they’ve been stripped of payment tech), but for collectors or transit history buffs, a $1K bid buys nearly 350 subway rides worth of nostalgia.
