- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with IR Radio. Hello, Almost Famous listeners. It's Ashley and
- 0:10Speaker 1: I am, you know, fresh off the plane from Ben's wedding.
- 0:13Speaker 1: He is down in Saint Bart's with Jess. So I
- 0:17Speaker 1: have a special guest host today. His name is Peter Webber. Everybody,
- 0:21Speaker 1: welcome Peter Webber. What's going on everyone, It's going to
- 0:25Speaker 1: be here on the podcast. Thanks for having me. Thank
- 0:27Speaker 1: you so much for being here. So of course we
- 0:30Speaker 1: have a lot to talk about, um with with Ben's wedding,
- 0:33Speaker 1: it was beautiful and our engineer Eastern he was there,
- 0:38Speaker 1: so during Hot Topics Easton and I will talk a
- 0:40Speaker 1: little bit about, you know, the whole wedding day. But
- 0:44Speaker 1: for right now, I want to catch up a little
- 0:46Speaker 1: bit with Peter. Peter um, the biggest, like I feel like,
- 0:50Speaker 1: the most recent headline we have from you is the
- 0:53Speaker 1: fact that you ran the New York City marathon with
- 0:56Speaker 1: a lot of other Bachelor alum And I'm telling you,
- 1:01Speaker 1: like I think the listeners are like, actually, holy crap,
- 1:03Speaker 1: are you really going to go into this again? I
- 1:05Speaker 1: am mind boggled by anyone who's able to run a marathon,
- 1:09Speaker 1: So please tell me about your preparation and how it
- 1:13Speaker 1: felt on your body. Oh boy, um, you mean lack
- 1:17Speaker 1: thereof I So I it wasn't my I never thought
- 1:20Speaker 1: I'd ever run a marathon, to be completely honest. Um,
- 1:23Speaker 1: my roommate Dustin, he had done a New York Sea
- 1:27Speaker 1: Marathon the year prior, and he actually had run with
- 1:30Speaker 1: Tyler and Matt and he kind of brought me into
- 1:34Speaker 1: this whole idea of running it this year with him,
- 1:36Speaker 1: and so I couldn't say no because it was for Achilles,
- 1:38Speaker 1: which was a great organization. Obviously raison a lot of money,
- 1:41Speaker 1: so it was for a great cause. But I'm like, actually,
- 1:43Speaker 1: I'm not a runner at all. Like I'm not long
- 1:45Speaker 1: distance like I can sprint, but I'm not a runner.
- 1:47Speaker 1: And to be completely honest, my preparation consisted of one
- 1:52Speaker 1: six mile run like three weeks prior to this actual
- 1:56Speaker 1: I was an idiot with it. Like I I am
- 1:59Speaker 1: so lucky that I did not get seriously injured from
- 2:02Speaker 1: running twenty six point two miles on a women And
- 2:05Speaker 1: that's literally what happened. I mean my legs, I'm still
- 2:08Speaker 1: like not a person recovered. My knees are still pretty
- 2:11Speaker 1: Sources just over a week after. Um, but I just
- 2:16Speaker 1: gonna be honest, it was. It was probably the most
- 2:18Speaker 1: rewarding experience of my life. I truly mean that, and
- 2:21Speaker 1: like I'm super happy I did it. I want to
- 2:22Speaker 1: do it again next year obviously the right way and
- 2:25Speaker 1: prepare and actually try to get a decent time. Um,
- 2:28Speaker 1: it was electric though, The energy was incredible. What was
- 2:31Speaker 1: your time? I got actually got I got my medal
- 2:35Speaker 1: here with it all in grade. There was five sixteen
- 2:39Speaker 1: in nine seconds. And I still find that unbelievably impressive. Now,
- 2:44Speaker 1: hold up, your entire training was six miles a month before?
- 2:50Speaker 1: Was six miles the longest you'd ever run at one
- 2:52Speaker 1: time ever? And it wasn't even it wasn't even six
- 2:56Speaker 1: months I did. I ran three miles down the east
- 2:59Speaker 1: side here in Manhattan, down to the bridge and stop
- 3:01Speaker 1: for about ten minutes because I needed to catch my breath,
- 3:03Speaker 1: so I didn't even go to the full six without stopping,
- 3:05Speaker 1: and then I ran the other three back home. Um,
- 3:08Speaker 1: And that was the full extent of I just I
- 3:10Speaker 1: needed to get that in to like at least have
- 3:12Speaker 1: some type of confidence that I could run, you know,
- 3:15Speaker 1: a decent amount of mileage um, you're like, but then
- 3:19Speaker 1: multiply it by by three. It was horrible because six
- 3:24Speaker 1: isn't even isn't even a technically a quarter, it's not
- 3:27Speaker 1: even a quarter, or it's not even swot two even more,
- 3:33Speaker 1: because yes, six not even a quarter technically times four.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, okay, I have so many more questions.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I mean, did you feel like the original marathon runner,
- 3:45Speaker 1: like back in ancient Greece, like because he ran the
- 3:47Speaker 1: twenty six miles and then he just dropped? Is that
- 3:50Speaker 1: how you felt? I was very close to that. I
- 3:53Speaker 1: my friends all thought it'd be hilarious to show. I
- 3:55Speaker 1: don't know if you've seen the episode from How I
- 3:57Speaker 1: Met Your Mother with Barney Simpson. I think it's Simpson.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I'm not. I haven't seen too many episodes Barney. There.
- 4:02Speaker 1: There's an episode where he takes over the spot from
- 4:05Speaker 1: Marshall who got injured, and he's like, yeah, I could
- 4:07Speaker 1: run a marathon with zero training, literally what I was
- 4:09Speaker 1: about to do the very next day, and he runs it,
- 4:12Speaker 1: completes it, surprises everyone, and then I guess the next
- 4:15Speaker 1: day it's like a delayed reaction and his legs don't work.
- 4:18Speaker 1: And that was that was quite literally my exact experience
- 4:22Speaker 1: with it as well. So yeah, that's pretty crazy. Wow.
- 4:26Speaker 1: So did you run into any bachelor along along the way.
- 4:30Speaker 1: So I was in the slowest heat I think out
- 4:35Speaker 1: of everyone. Um. I started off with Dustin, my roommate,
- 4:38Speaker 1: and then he he shortly after we started, kind of
- 4:41Speaker 1: took off, you know, away from me. He finished like
- 4:43Speaker 1: fifty forty five minutes before me. Um. I never I
- 4:46Speaker 1: know Tyler and Matt running they had left in a
- 4:49Speaker 1: heat way before me. Zack and Tasia, same thing, um
- 4:53Speaker 1: Joe as well. So I was liking one of the
- 4:55Speaker 1: slowest heats. I mean there was I couldn't have kept
- 4:57Speaker 1: up with anyone else if even if I wanted to. Uh,
- 5:00Speaker 1: but next year, next year, I'm going to do the training.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I'm not gonna make excuses, and this this little fire
- 5:04Speaker 1: into my ask for sure, so I don't regret it.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I could ask you so many questions like how much
- 5:09Speaker 1: did you eat? How long did it take for you
- 5:11Speaker 1: to be able to stand the next day? But I won't.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I mean, this is not an a marathon podcast, So
- 5:16Speaker 1: just one more question, Um, how nervous were you before that?
- 5:22Speaker 1: I don't know? Do they shoot off like one of
- 5:23Speaker 1: those gun things, Like I don't even know the amount
- 5:27Speaker 1: of nerves must have been running through your body. Honestly,
- 5:30Speaker 1: it was an ignorance is bliss type scenario. I didn't know.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Everyone kept trying to tell me that you don't know
- 5:36Speaker 1: what you're getting yourself into. This is gonna be the
- 5:37Speaker 1: worst day of your life, Like you're not able to walk,
- 5:39Speaker 1: You're not gonna be able to finitsh No, I thought
- 5:40Speaker 1: I was gonna able to finish it. And I think
- 5:43Speaker 1: I just like I was so ignorant that it really
- 5:46Speaker 1: paid dividends for me, because like I I just the
- 5:49Speaker 1: entire time like I'm going to finish it. Yeah, it's
- 5:51Speaker 1: gonna hurt like hell, but um there's just there was
- 5:53Speaker 1: no there was zero like doubt that I was going
- 5:56Speaker 1: to finish it, even when the pain started coming. So
- 5:59Speaker 1: I think it kind of worked out for me in
- 6:01Speaker 1: a weird way. Well that's amazing, so impressive, So bravo.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Uh and you can't wait to see what you get
- 6:11Speaker 1: next year training Yes? Anyway, Okay, Well, you know it
- 6:17Speaker 1: wouldn't be a Bachelor podcast if I didn't ask a
- 6:19Speaker 1: former bachelor who is currently single if he's dating Um,
- 6:23Speaker 1: and you know you you talk, You've gotta you get
- 6:27Speaker 1: asked this all the time. So I'll let you answer
- 6:30Speaker 1: the question and give me your nice little PR answer
- 6:33Speaker 1: because I'm sure it's very pure friendly. UM. And my dating,
- 6:38Speaker 1: I know, I'm I mean, I am. I guess I
- 6:41Speaker 1: could say I'm starting to day I'm not like serious
- 6:44Speaker 1: in relationship exclusive with anyone like that. But I listen
- 6:48Speaker 1: what I've been telling everyone, and this is whether it's
- 6:50Speaker 1: not PR, just it's the truth. I really enjoyed this
- 6:53Speaker 1: like ten eleven months of just being single and like
- 6:57Speaker 1: not worrying about a relationship because I've for so long
- 7:00Speaker 1: was that was the biggest focus in my life, and
- 7:02Speaker 1: obviously the show kind of made it that way. And
- 7:04Speaker 1: it's been so refreshing and such a great reset to
- 7:06Speaker 1: just like not worry about that and like just just
- 7:10Speaker 1: literally worry about myself and working myself and you know,
- 7:13Speaker 1: just do things I wanted to do and improve myself
- 7:15Speaker 1: in as many ways as I could. And I've been
- 7:17Speaker 1: enjoying New York like crazy. Um, you know, I've had
- 7:20Speaker 1: the time in my life. But I am. I am
- 7:22Speaker 1: definitely now to the point again where and it's cool
- 7:25Speaker 1: because like it's I needed this to come like just
- 7:27Speaker 1: organically and very naturally, couldn't have forced it. Like I
- 7:29Speaker 1: do feel like I can kind of get back out
- 7:31Speaker 1: there again and I'm ready to And um, that's that's
- 7:35Speaker 1: exciting for me to say, what kind of date do
- 7:38Speaker 1: you take a girl on on a first date? So
- 7:42Speaker 1: for me, I know this, this sounds crazy coming from
- 7:45Speaker 1: the show, but I am such like a simple dude
- 7:48Speaker 1: and like, yes, I love the adventure of life and
- 7:51Speaker 1: I love living life with the fullest and all that stuff.
- 7:53Speaker 1: But like on a first date, I truly am that
- 7:55Speaker 1: guy that like I like the simpler the better, Like
- 7:58Speaker 1: no glitz, no glad. I'm just like the two of
- 8:01Speaker 1: you connecting in a very organic, um nonpretentious way like
- 8:05Speaker 1: that to me is everything and everything else can kind
- 8:09Speaker 1: of come after that. But if you if from in
- 8:12Speaker 1: my opinion, I can feel a spark, feel something from
- 8:14Speaker 1: that kind of date. Um, literally just taking a blanket
- 8:17Speaker 1: out to Central Park and just like chilling and enjoying
- 8:19Speaker 1: the beautiful day and admiring the buildings and whatnot and
- 8:22Speaker 1: just having great conversation. That is everything to me. So
- 8:26Speaker 1: is it a daytime date? Oh so we're getting into
- 8:30Speaker 1: exact dates here, Okay, Um, this one that's at the
- 8:35Speaker 1: top of my mind. Yes it was. It was involved
- 8:37Speaker 1: the nice walk around the the Kennedy Reservoir. I don't
- 8:42Speaker 1: know if you've done that in Central Park, but it's
- 8:43Speaker 1: one of my favorite places in the city. Uh felled
- 8:46Speaker 1: by Yeah, stunning? All right, Well, something now to the
- 8:52Speaker 1: question that I really want to ask, like, have you
- 8:54Speaker 1: ever gone on a date with Julia Laploca? The Sure
- 8:58Speaker 1: of Yours? Like every buddy was speculating you were going
- 9:01Speaker 1: to end your season with I know literally everyone did.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I love Julie? And uh the answer is no, that
- 9:08Speaker 1: has not happened. Why can it happen? Can it happen? Hey,
- 9:12Speaker 1: I'm I'm you never say never. Honestly, Julie and I
- 9:15Speaker 1: we do. We get along very well. Um. Obviously, you know,
- 9:18Speaker 1: you get to know someone so well from spending every
- 9:20Speaker 1: waking moment with them, right from those two three months
- 9:24Speaker 1: of the show. I actually just saw her. She was
- 9:26Speaker 1: at my book launched that nice little picture of the
- 9:31Speaker 1: two of you. YEA know, she she's great. Her and
- 9:36Speaker 1: her family came out and showed a lot of support.
- 9:38Speaker 1: We're very close, you know, both of our families are
- 9:40Speaker 1: very close and um, you never know, Hey he's smiling
- 9:45Speaker 1: and kind of glowy. Guys, Oh boy, I love Juliet
- 9:51Speaker 1: really do. All right, well we can, well, were you
- 9:55Speaker 1: close to Julie? She was, Um, yeah, I wouldn't say close,
- 10:03Speaker 1: but but we were friends for sure, you know what
- 10:05Speaker 1: I mean. She wasn't well, she she wasn't on my
- 10:09Speaker 1: side of things during the during my processes. I think
- 10:16Speaker 1: she started to become more involved in the cast later on.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Gotcha that makes sense. Okay, Well, let's talk about Michelle's
- 10:24Speaker 1: season in Macro a little bit before we dive into
- 10:27Speaker 1: the actual episode. Have you been watching I have? I
- 10:35Speaker 1: am a huge fan of Michelle Young same. I you know,
- 10:41Speaker 1: the ratings aren't that great. We won't like, I don't.
- 10:43Speaker 1: I don't understand it. Stupid and it makes me feel
- 10:48Speaker 1: sad because she's such a great bachelorette. She deserves the writings. Honestly,
- 10:54Speaker 1: she's and this last episode, I mean, there were so
- 10:57Speaker 1: many moments where I'm just like wow, like she's just
- 11:01Speaker 1: she's got her together, like she's a he's a freaking
- 11:03Speaker 1: rock star. Um, It's like, honestly, I'll say, like She's
- 11:07Speaker 1: one of my favorite bachelrets I think I've ever seen
- 11:09Speaker 1: like I would not have been mad at all. I've
- 11:12Speaker 1: been very happy to have been on her season. I know, same, same, same.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Do you feel like any of these guys are up
- 11:19Speaker 1: on her, up to her level? Because I don't know
- 11:22Speaker 1: if I feel like they are, you know, I yes,
- 11:27Speaker 1: I mean, it's a very valid point. I really like
- 11:32Speaker 1: Brandon for her. Um is Brandon or Brendan? I'm always
- 11:38Speaker 1: so bad with Brandon and Brendon's. I think this one's Brandon.
- 11:42Speaker 1: And we had a Brendan you know last season? Yes, yes, um,
- 11:45Speaker 1: he he's He's honestly the one guy I mean, And
- 11:50Speaker 1: I think obviously she's very innate and that's like, very
- 11:52Speaker 1: very obvious. UM and Nate. I like Nate. He still
- 11:57Speaker 1: comes off though, like I kind of can see what
- 12:00Speaker 1: the Chris guy UM was kind of like hinting that.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe I'm completely wrong, I missreading it.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I kind of see that. But but obviously, like she's
- 12:09Speaker 1: very intimate, that's very obvious. But I would say Brandon
- 12:11Speaker 1: right now is is my top pick for her? If
- 12:14Speaker 1: I had pick one interesting a guy who hasn't had
- 12:17Speaker 1: a one on one yet, So I think, especially after
- 12:20Speaker 1: this episode, I'm thinking that Joe might be in the lead.
- 12:24Speaker 1: So I think Joe is my pick. Joe's Yeah, there's solids.
- 12:28Speaker 1: They just look like they make so much sense. Um,
- 12:30Speaker 1: their whole background, lifestyle, obviously where they come from. This
- 12:34Speaker 1: date was perfect for them, Like you knew that was coming.
- 12:36Speaker 1: It was. It was absolutely ideal. Um, he's got a
- 12:39Speaker 1: really cool his shyness and like how reserved he is.
- 12:44Speaker 1: It really to me, it's it's so loud, like in
- 12:47Speaker 1: the best way possible, Like it's it just works. I
- 12:50Speaker 1: don't know, like I really appreciate that. I kind of
- 12:52Speaker 1: saw a little bit of like I see myself and
- 12:54Speaker 1: him and how he was on this show, just kind
- 12:56Speaker 1: of being a little bit reserved and taking a little
- 12:58Speaker 1: long to kind of really fully open up. And I
- 13:00Speaker 1: think that's just it's very it's just very natural and
- 13:03Speaker 1: authentic on how it comes across. It just seems like
- 13:06Speaker 1: a really solid guy. It's like it was for me.
- 13:08Speaker 1: It was like a complete one eight because you kind
- 13:10Speaker 1: of get thrown for a loop in the beginning the
- 13:12Speaker 1: first episode and totally ghosting here and all that, or
- 13:15Speaker 1: you think that's what happened, and now his story is
- 13:18Speaker 1: starting to come out and you really understand who this
- 13:20Speaker 1: guy is. It's just, like I said, authentic is I
- 13:22Speaker 1: think the best way for me to describe him. My
- 13:25Speaker 1: feelings on him have probably changed the most of that
- 13:28Speaker 1: out of everybody in the cast since episode one, because
- 13:32Speaker 1: I would agree with that reservations about him at first? Okay,
- 13:35Speaker 1: and then what about Clayton? Because every week here on
- 13:38Speaker 1: the podcast, Ben and I are puzzled as to why
- 13:40Speaker 1: the producers seemed so sold on him to become the
- 13:43Speaker 1: next Bachelor. To me, he is nothing glitzy. Um, I'm
- 13:51Speaker 1: not compelled. We got a little bit more from amount
- 13:55Speaker 1: of this episode, but only like comparably speaking to what
- 13:59Speaker 1: we've gotten from him in other episodes. So what are
- 14:03Speaker 1: your thoughts on this? Do you think that his storyline
- 14:05Speaker 1: is going to develop so much in the next two
- 14:07Speaker 1: to three weeks that we're going to fall in love
- 14:12Speaker 1: or is it a huge mistake. I don't want to
- 14:15Speaker 1: say it's a huge mistake. I mean, I listen, they
- 14:20Speaker 1: to make that decision, so really, I don't know if
- 14:22Speaker 1: that's ever been done before. I mean, I could be
- 14:24Speaker 1: complete wrong on that, but she was a lead as
- 14:27Speaker 1: early as they did without anybody knowing them getting a
- 14:30Speaker 1: reaction from the public live as this episodes were airing,
- 14:34Speaker 1: They obviously felt very confident. But I agree with you,
- 14:37Speaker 1: there is really no glitz or glamour there I do.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I'll give him props to I. He definitely, to me
- 14:43Speaker 1: stood out. Um a little bit more of this episode,
- 14:46Speaker 1: I saw sides of him. I don't think that anyone
- 14:49Speaker 1: is seen yet. Um. It's like it's like you're rooting
- 14:52Speaker 1: to see something, like you want to you want to
- 14:53Speaker 1: get excited for this next next season, the Bachelor coming up,
- 14:56Speaker 1: and um, you know what what awaits with that, And
- 14:59Speaker 1: it's been kind of hard to get excited. Um, So
- 15:02Speaker 1: I don't know. I think, yeah, you have to for
- 15:04Speaker 1: the sake of the show. You have to see something
- 15:06Speaker 1: in the next couple of weeks. And he really got
- 15:07Speaker 1: to take off. Um, and hopefully that is the case. Yeah,
- 15:12Speaker 1: I totally agree. All right, Well, before we take a
- 15:15Speaker 1: quick break, we have to talk about your new children's book,
- 15:18Speaker 1: The Adventures of Pilot Pete, which is set to come
- 15:21Speaker 1: out on November Apparently, Jared and my children's book Lucy
- 15:27Speaker 1: and Clark, a story of puppy love was in some
- 15:30Speaker 1: way a spark for you to create your own. This
- 15:33Speaker 1: is actually yes, this is kind of crazy coming full circle. Um,
- 15:36Speaker 1: so funny. So Andy, the publisher that you worked with
- 15:40Speaker 1: on Your Guys children's book, he we had been introduced
- 15:44Speaker 1: to each other. It's about a year and a half ago.
- 15:46Speaker 1: And to be honest, a children's book never was really
- 15:48Speaker 1: the idea like I had thought of in my head
- 15:51Speaker 1: of of writing, and so he brought up your Guys
- 15:54Speaker 1: book and that's what kind of like got the spark
- 15:56Speaker 1: for me to get going. And immediately I knew exactly
- 15:59Speaker 1: what I wanted to do, um and and what I
- 16:01Speaker 1: wanted it to be about. So I guess I owe
- 16:03Speaker 1: you guys a big thanks for this kind of coming
- 16:05Speaker 1: to Fruition and being the the pathfinders there. But yeah,
- 16:10Speaker 1: it's it's it's it's an awesome I mean, you know
- 16:13Speaker 1: how cool the process it is to write a children's book.
- 16:15Speaker 1: It's very unique obviously with the illustrations. It's just a
- 16:18Speaker 1: really cool experience to me. It's a it's a non
- 16:22Speaker 1: fictional book about my my first love, right and um,
- 16:25Speaker 1: you know people have kind of seen my romantic love,
- 16:27Speaker 1: you know, play out or lack thereof, I guess on TV.
- 16:30Speaker 1: But this is my first love, aviation and how I
- 16:32Speaker 1: fell in love with it from the first time I
- 16:34Speaker 1: saw an airplane and through you know, growing up and
- 16:36Speaker 1: all the work I put in the trial as you
- 16:38Speaker 1: go through and finally get into, uh, my dream job.
- 16:41Speaker 1: And you know, my hope is that it can just
- 16:43Speaker 1: inspire a lot of children, inspire the next generation, have
- 16:46Speaker 1: some longevity here, and be something really positive that people
- 16:49Speaker 1: can enjoy. Um. So I'm super excited to share it
- 16:51Speaker 1: with everyone. And I hope, I hope it. Uh it
- 16:55Speaker 1: just inspires like I've been inspired by so many people
- 16:57Speaker 1: and you know my life growing up. So is there
- 17:00Speaker 1: any lessons in it? Follow your Dreams is never give
- 17:06Speaker 1: up until you find them or tell you to achieve those. Um.
- 17:10Speaker 1: It literally that that's you know I've had. It's so
- 17:13Speaker 1: cool to um pay honor. So I guess so many
- 17:16Speaker 1: mentors that I've had in my life because they're all
- 17:18Speaker 1: in the book, and um, you know, from high school
- 17:20Speaker 1: teachers to flight instructors, to my parents to my friends. UM,
- 17:24Speaker 1: I get to bring them all back and and and
- 17:26Speaker 1: tell that story. And UM yeah, it's a Follow your
- 17:29Speaker 1: dreams Chase your dreams type book and finding whatever that is,
- 17:33Speaker 1: whether it's flying or you know, whatever it may be.
- 17:35Speaker 1: It makes you feel so alive that you literally never
- 17:38Speaker 1: feel like you're going to work a day in your life.
- 17:39Speaker 1: And um, you know, I feel so fortunate that I've
- 17:41Speaker 1: been able to find that and people know I'm super passionate.
- 17:44Speaker 1: So being able to put this into children's book and
- 17:46Speaker 1: relive it through the whole illustration process and the writing
- 17:50Speaker 1: process was such a joy for me. Uh. So I
- 17:52Speaker 1: hope people enjoy it. And I love to make a series,
- 17:54Speaker 1: you know this moving forward more fictional um, and uh
- 17:57Speaker 1: make it educational for kids to going off the far
- 18:00Speaker 1: off places. Um, a little mystery there. So there's a
- 18:03Speaker 1: lot of potentially I hope for it. It definitely with
- 18:06Speaker 1: the title sounds like it's going to be part of
- 18:08Speaker 1: a series. Yeah, that's that's the goal. That's the goal.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I hopefully this one goes well. People can get it,
- 18:16Speaker 1: I'm assuming on Amazon, but is there a place where
- 18:18Speaker 1: like maybe they don't take of the proceeds that you
- 18:20Speaker 1: want to plug true? Yeah, so you guys go to
- 18:23Speaker 1: the Adventures of Pilot Pete dot com and you'll get
- 18:26Speaker 1: a signed copy of the book. Is the only way
- 18:29Speaker 1: to get that, that version of the copy of the book. Um,
- 18:33Speaker 1: so that's on my Instagram. I have it linked there
- 18:35Speaker 1: and uh, I hope you guys enjoy it and shameless
- 18:39Speaker 1: plug on my behalf as well. Um, if you're just
- 18:41Speaker 1: trying to stock up on Bachelor children's book children's books,
- 18:45Speaker 1: you can get ours at www dot Lucy and clark
- 18:49Speaker 1: book dot com. We should be a little bundle package. Yeah,
- 18:53Speaker 1: we should. I think we're the only people from from
- 18:56Speaker 1: bastination then children's books. Yes, we have to speak about
- 19:01Speaker 1: flying for one second, since it's related to this. Um,
- 19:05Speaker 1: how does it go when people see you up there
- 19:10Speaker 1: in the cockpit, whether you're saying hello or saying goodbye?
- 19:14Speaker 1: When when fans spot you and they're like, you're my pilot?
- 19:18Speaker 1: Have you ever heard anything like super outrageous or or
- 19:23Speaker 1: like I'm scared pilot Pete like he couldn't decide between
- 19:27Speaker 1: two girls? Am I supposed to trust him in the air? Listen,
- 19:33Speaker 1: I'm a lot better pilot than I am Bachelor. Okay,
- 19:37Speaker 1: I will, I will put it out there. Um, I'm
- 19:40Speaker 1: a damn good pilot. I'm very confident saying that, Um,
- 19:44Speaker 1: it's it's fun. It's it's really fun. It's cool to
- 19:47Speaker 1: see the love out there. What's always funny for me
- 19:50Speaker 1: is um is the captains usually have no idea about
- 19:54Speaker 1: the show. It's usually the flight sentence I really know
- 19:56Speaker 1: and that it kind of followed it love the Bachelor.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Uh they do. I mean just last night we were
- 20:02Speaker 1: talking about the entire time, and I don't mind. It's
- 20:04Speaker 1: it's always cool, Like they said, all the love I appreciate.
- 20:06Speaker 1: But it's always funny if I'm like on a three
- 20:08Speaker 1: or four night trip and the captain will like finally,
- 20:10Speaker 1: like on day two, like he has no idea, and
- 20:12Speaker 1: then he'll be like, why why does this flights and
- 20:14Speaker 1: keep coming up? Or why why is she taking pictures
- 20:16Speaker 1: of you and not me? Like they just have no idea,
- 20:19Speaker 1: and because I never say anything, like I just don't
- 20:21Speaker 1: want to really bring it up, and and then they'll
- 20:23Speaker 1: get like introduced to it and they're like what's and
- 20:25Speaker 1: then they'll be all curious and they'll ask and Uh,
- 20:28Speaker 1: it's funny. We literally this is this is not flying related.
- 20:31Speaker 1: This is you just triggered my memory. Yesterday we're going
- 20:34Speaker 1: to New York. This is hilarious and we, uh, we're
- 20:38Speaker 1: looking for a new apartment because we're gonna go move downtown.
- 20:42Speaker 1: And um, so Dustin myself and uh one of other
- 20:45Speaker 1: best friends we're gonna move in together. We'll go to
- 20:47Speaker 1: this apartment this this realtor said, yeah, I mean it's
- 20:49Speaker 1: at this apartment. Um and at this time the tenant
- 20:53Speaker 1: will be there to uh to show you guys in
- 20:55Speaker 1: and whatnot. Anyways, we call the number, they don't pick up.
- 20:58Speaker 1: We email the lady. The realtor doesn't reach Bond. Luckily,
- 21:00Speaker 1: there was a guy that was like at the front door,
- 21:02Speaker 1: so he opens the door for us, very gracious, like, hey,
- 21:04Speaker 1: we're here to see this apartment whatnot, Like, oh, yeah,
- 21:07Speaker 1: I guess you guys can go in. So we walk up.
- 21:09Speaker 1: We knocked on the door and this girl like says hello,
- 21:13Speaker 1: and we're walking to the door. Before she's walking to
- 21:15Speaker 1: the front door, she opens it. We're both me and
- 21:18Speaker 1: her just like we lock eyes and we're like very
- 21:21Speaker 1: confused at like who we're looking at. And then she
- 21:23Speaker 1: just looks at me and she goes and then she
- 21:26Speaker 1: looks over and she sees dust In there and she goes, am,
- 21:30Speaker 1: I am I getting punked right now, we're here. We're
- 21:32Speaker 1: here to see in the apartment, Like what are you here?
- 21:35Speaker 1: And you just kind of just reminded me of that.
- 21:37Speaker 1: It's kind of fun. So whenever I see people out there,
- 21:39Speaker 1: it's cool. I appreciate the love and got some fun,
- 21:42Speaker 1: funny stories for sure. Do you like have any side
- 21:45Speaker 1: effects when you go up there, because I don't know
- 21:48Speaker 1: how you guys do it, like just being the air
- 21:51Speaker 1: all day. Like I get the worst jet belly. I
- 21:54Speaker 1: come off any flight that is, yes, with the most
- 21:59Speaker 1: painful low interesting you don't have any like tummy pains
- 22:04Speaker 1: or anything like that, like de hystation. And I guess
- 22:08Speaker 1: I'm not pregnant, so it's been way worth a wet pregnant.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I need like three hours recovery after
- 22:14Speaker 1: a flight. I you know, I don't get that. But
- 22:17Speaker 1: I get my feet sometimes they get really swollen, like
- 22:20Speaker 1: if I'm in the back. I know people like have
- 22:22Speaker 1: they get triggered by this or whatnot? Something to take
- 22:24Speaker 1: my shoes off, you know, And I always put a
- 22:26Speaker 1: blanket over them, so like it's not disgusting for anyone,
- 22:29Speaker 1: Like I'm one of the guys. Not socks, No no,
- 22:33Speaker 1: I always have socks on. Everybody should be fine with
- 22:37Speaker 1: having socks on. Okay, see I agree with that too.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Some people like are like, no, absolutely not. You keep
- 22:41Speaker 1: your shoes seven and I'm not doing this in the
- 22:43Speaker 1: cock but this is when I'm like a passenger. But
- 22:46Speaker 1: I'll get swollen feet. You know. I notice when I
- 22:48Speaker 1: put my shoes on, they're super tight. Um. Honestly, I
- 22:52Speaker 1: I struggle. This is super random. I would struggle with
- 22:54Speaker 1: dry eyes for the longest time. I kind of got
- 22:56Speaker 1: through that phase, thank god. But you know, the altitude
- 22:59Speaker 1: the cab in pressures eight thousand feet, not that much
- 23:01Speaker 1: humidity up there. So that's been my kind of side
- 23:04Speaker 1: effects from flying. But luckily it's gotten better. And you're
- 23:08Speaker 1: a United co pilot now, yeah, fly for United Alliance
- 23:12Speaker 1: first officer and uh, I'm really hoping to my dad.
- 23:16Speaker 1: The reason I came over from Delta and my dad
- 23:18Speaker 1: flies here and he retires in April, and so the
- 23:21Speaker 1: dream is to be on his retirement flight and be
- 23:23Speaker 1: his first officer on his last flight. So I'm working
- 23:26Speaker 1: to get there. When is he planning on retiring? He
- 23:30Speaker 1: ape is at sixty five. You have to retire when
- 23:33Speaker 1: you're a pilot. It's a f a laws. So he's
- 23:35Speaker 1: got just you know, the twentieth I guess April is
- 23:37Speaker 1: the last day he can legally fly. Oh my gosh, well,
- 23:41Speaker 1: I hope you're able to do that. That that would
- 23:43Speaker 1: be so cute. Yeah, the book actually kind of hopefully
- 23:47Speaker 1: it's a little foreshadowing that kind of that's kind of
- 23:49Speaker 1: how the book goes to in the story and how
- 23:51Speaker 1: it kind of ends. Oh well it must happen then, okay, yeah,
- 23:54Speaker 1: well you're manifesting it absolutely. And we're gonna say a
- 23:58Speaker 1: quick break and when we get back, we're gonna break
- 24:00Speaker 1: down this episode of Michelle Seuasan. The best bracket rule
- 24:11Speaker 1: of the week four Week six is plus ten if
- 24:16Speaker 1: a contestant uses the word of vulnerable or if Michelle
- 24:19Speaker 1: compliments them for being vulnerable. And we're back, and this
- 24:29Speaker 1: cast sends off to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where I think we're
- 24:35Speaker 1: gonna be spending a few weeks with Michelle and the guys.
- 24:39Speaker 1: And I'm surprised these guys didn't get more dramatic over
- 24:44Speaker 1: the fact that Joe got the first one on one
- 24:47Speaker 1: this week and say things like he's getting this advantage
- 24:51Speaker 1: it's his hometown and he's getting the one on one.
- 24:55Speaker 1: But it also just feels so right because I feel
- 24:59Speaker 1: like how I feel like these two should have been
- 25:04Speaker 1: on dates in Minneapolis before today, right? Sure? Yeah? No,
- 25:08Speaker 1: I I love the day. I think it was super
- 25:11Speaker 1: cute to watch. Um I kind of like I put
- 25:14Speaker 1: myself in Michelle's chees and I'm like, that would be
- 25:16Speaker 1: you know, I mean actually kind of. I was able
- 25:19Speaker 1: to do a little bit similar stuff I guess in
- 25:20Speaker 1: n l A, some hometown stuff, and it means so
- 25:24Speaker 1: much to be able to share something so personal, um
- 25:27Speaker 1: with you know, people on the show and that kind
- 25:29Speaker 1: of experience, and then having them both though be from
- 25:31Speaker 1: that area. It just is like a double whammy, so
- 25:34Speaker 1: super special. I feel like I hear you with like
- 25:37Speaker 1: the lack of drama with the guys, but it's almost
- 25:39Speaker 1: like it was such a perfect date. They couldn't have
- 25:41Speaker 1: been mad about it, Like they had to be like, yo,
- 25:43Speaker 1: that's your time, man, go go enjoy it, go out
- 25:46Speaker 1: the time of your life with her, and UM. I
- 25:48Speaker 1: thought they handled it well. And from Joe's perspective, he
- 25:51Speaker 1: must have been just like having more of a sense
- 25:53Speaker 1: of comfort on this one on one than you normally
- 25:56Speaker 1: would have gotten, just because you're like, oh, I've been
- 25:58Speaker 1: here before, I've been there before, and not everything is new, right. Yeah, no, totally.
- 26:03Speaker 1: I mean I think for sure him being a little
- 26:05Speaker 1: bit more reserved and kind of getting him out of
- 26:07Speaker 1: that shell. This was the perfect date. Couldn't have been
- 26:10Speaker 1: any better for him. So happy for him. He definitely
- 26:13Speaker 1: definitely grew on me a bunch that during that date. Totally.
- 26:16Speaker 1: So they go to Twin Stadium, she throws out the
- 26:19Speaker 1: first pitch. They did everything on that date, Yeah, I know. Right.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Then she goes to her high school, shows him her locker.
- 26:28Speaker 1: They looked through the year book, and of course I
- 26:29Speaker 1: talked about basketball. They play basketball, and her old high
- 26:33Speaker 1: school like gym, and that is super nostalgic. I feel like,
- 26:37Speaker 1: even if you're not like a basketball player, if I
- 26:40Speaker 1: were to go back to my high school gym, I'd
- 26:42Speaker 1: get all the fields. Oh totally. And it was so cool,
- 26:45Speaker 1: like all of her pictures were still up there and
- 26:47Speaker 1: they got to, you know, see her back in high school.
- 26:49Speaker 1: She was I think ninth grade. She was on varsity,
- 26:52Speaker 1: like girls, an all star, absolutely all star. H I
- 26:56Speaker 1: was That was pretty bad as She beat him in
- 26:57Speaker 1: the dress too. She beat Mr. Minnesota. She is really
- 27:02Speaker 1: good at basketball, Jared said the other week. He was like,
- 27:05Speaker 1: I could take her. I'm like, Jared, she was grad
- 27:07Speaker 1: at number one in her state. I do not think
- 27:10Speaker 1: you could take her. She keeps making these three pointers. Yeah,
- 27:13Speaker 1: the girl does a miss. No she doesn't. I mean like,
- 27:15Speaker 1: I'm sure they only edited for us to see her
- 27:18Speaker 1: keeps running, but it's still quite impressive. How how with
- 27:22Speaker 1: ease she just tosses it up and it's like in now,
- 27:26Speaker 1: very very natural. I was. I was definitely very impressed.
- 27:28Speaker 1: She'd kick my ass out freaking stuck a basketball. So
- 27:31Speaker 1: definitely given her props um. And then I get like,
- 27:34Speaker 1: the big part of this day is when they go
- 27:38Speaker 1: to dinner and he talks about m So the big
- 27:45Speaker 1: part about this date is when they go to dinner
- 27:48Speaker 1: and he talks about how he broke three bones. I
- 27:50Speaker 1: think it was his leg or like his in his
- 27:53Speaker 1: foot and his leg first, I think yeah, and then
- 27:57Speaker 1: in college he broke I think that's when he broke
- 28:01Speaker 1: his his foot right, and they had the surgery. Surgery
- 28:05Speaker 1: was messed up, and then he had to go back
- 28:08Speaker 1: in and get like seven screws in his foot and
- 28:11Speaker 1: it led to him, you know, not being able to
- 28:13Speaker 1: play to the best of his ability, and he got
- 28:17Speaker 1: into like a deep anxiety depression, even having suicidal thoughts.
- 28:22Speaker 1: And the two of them are just so emotional. But
- 28:26Speaker 1: if anybody's going to kind of like understand the mental
- 28:29Speaker 1: space that he would have been in, it would have
- 28:32Speaker 1: been Michelle because she just knows how much playing a
- 28:36Speaker 1: game means to him. Because I think a lot of
- 28:39Speaker 1: girls maybe we're like, how were you so affected by
- 28:43Speaker 1: not being able to just play a sport. It's just
- 28:45Speaker 1: a sport, you know, wasn't going to be your whole life.
- 28:48Speaker 1: But she really gets him. Yeah, I think, you know
- 28:51Speaker 1: the mindset of an athlete, and I wasn't even you know,
- 28:55Speaker 1: I was not even close to any type of All
- 28:57Speaker 1: Star athlete, but I definitely love sports growing up and
- 29:00Speaker 1: and really enjoyed it. And like just the effort and
- 29:04Speaker 1: the time and the commitment that you put into it,
- 29:06Speaker 1: just from someone like me that wasn't even like an
- 29:08Speaker 1: All star, I know, is incredible. So I can only
- 29:11Speaker 1: imagine these two. I think they are both what either
- 29:14Speaker 1: one was runner up and one was like for the
- 29:17Speaker 1: Mr and Mrs Minnesota. Like these two are people that
- 29:20Speaker 1: and I had a lot of friends growing up they
- 29:22Speaker 1: were they remind me of that were so just invested
- 29:25Speaker 1: in their craft and like that was like he said,
- 29:28Speaker 1: I think once in the day like ball his life
- 29:29Speaker 1: and then and then you know it wasn't anymore. Um,
- 29:33Speaker 1: you're so invested in Like it's so it's so true.
- 29:35Speaker 1: It's kind of why I think we said earlier, like
- 29:37Speaker 1: they just make so much sense. They just understand each
- 29:39Speaker 1: other on such a common deep level obviously with so
- 29:43Speaker 1: many similarities and their their you know, their background, where
- 29:47Speaker 1: they come from. Um, it was for me super cool.
- 29:50Speaker 1: I these are the dates that I love watching. This
- 29:53Speaker 1: is really why I got hooked on the show and
- 29:55Speaker 1: I've loved the show. Is like the true like the
- 29:57Speaker 1: emotion when you see that come through not and like
- 30:00Speaker 1: Contriver there, it's all just so real and like seeing
- 30:03Speaker 1: someone that maybe he's not I mean, no one's used
- 30:06Speaker 1: to open it up like that on reality TV if
- 30:08Speaker 1: you've never been on it before. But seeing that kind
- 30:11Speaker 1: of like growth as a viewer in real time is
- 30:15Speaker 1: in my opinion, super beautiful and why this show has
- 30:18Speaker 1: been so successful And like this was one of those moments,
- 30:20Speaker 1: and I really I really enjoyed it and appreciated it.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Both of them talk about kind of being reserved, and
- 30:27Speaker 1: he says that he actually feels really comfortable expressing himself
- 30:32Speaker 1: with her, which is awesome. So, yeah, he's my top
- 30:35Speaker 1: choice right now. Her dad too. That's a huge compliment. Oh,
- 30:39Speaker 1: that is a huge compliment. All right, Well then we
- 30:43Speaker 1: move on to the right. Maybe maybe he is over Brandon.
- 30:46Speaker 1: I don't know, we'll see. Yeah, I think so. I
- 30:48Speaker 1: think so. But I do think that Brandon has a
- 30:50Speaker 1: lot of room to grow because we still haven't seen
- 30:52Speaker 1: a one on one and he's still like in my
- 30:54Speaker 1: mental top four, don't you Like I've said this before
- 30:59Speaker 1: right now and in obviously we're hoping to see something
- 31:01Speaker 1: more with Clayton. I feel like Brandon though, is like
- 31:05Speaker 1: he's a great front runner for that or Joe like,
- 31:08Speaker 1: I'm I'm just I don't know. I'm so curious to
- 31:10Speaker 1: see what comes in these next couple episodes. If we
- 31:13Speaker 1: didn't know Clayton was going to be the Bachelor, we
- 31:16Speaker 1: would never think he was going to be the Bachelor.
- 31:19Speaker 1: My only thought is that because of the filming schedule,
- 31:24Speaker 1: they kind of had to pick somebody that we also
- 31:28Speaker 1: kind of thought wasn't going to end up with Michelle,
- 31:31Speaker 1: because then it would have just been a total spoils
- 31:35Speaker 1: such a good point. Did not even think about that,
- 31:37Speaker 1: That's honestly probably what it was. Yeah, who's going to
- 31:41Speaker 1: make the best bachelor who? Obviously? Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, honestly,
- 31:47Speaker 1: I can't think of any other reason right now. So
- 31:49Speaker 1: you're onto something, thank you, thank you? Alright. So the
- 31:53Speaker 1: next is the group day and the guys go to
- 31:56Speaker 1: Viking Stadium and they have to compete in Viking challenges,
- 32:01Speaker 1: like eating really disgusting things, putting on Viking costumes, doing
- 32:06Speaker 1: arm wrestling. What else did they do? They did the
- 32:13Speaker 1: battle cries, battle cries ye ate the crazy food. They
- 32:17Speaker 1: threw the logs, Yeah, all the Viking stuff. One of
- 32:21Speaker 1: those dates that's like fun but like doesn't tell us
- 32:23Speaker 1: a whole bunch about the guys, except except it did.
- 32:27Speaker 1: I don't Chris, why make yourself so hate herbal? I
- 32:33Speaker 1: don't know. I think maybe he was leaning into it.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Maybe he just knew he had no storyline and was like, Okay,
- 32:40Speaker 1: I'll take the villain role, like making the like you
- 32:43Speaker 1: know that people are just gonna rag on you for like, oh,
- 32:45Speaker 1: I can't eat like being the one dude that's saying
- 32:47Speaker 1: I'm not going to eat it. Like you already dress
- 32:50Speaker 1: like a I mean, I'm not sure to mean, but
- 32:52Speaker 1: you already dressed like a jackass. I don't ask why why.
- 32:56Speaker 1: I don't get that he has no self of humor,
- 32:59Speaker 1: no self, no sense of humor. No, I just I
- 33:03Speaker 1: don't know. He's puzzled me the entire time. Yeah, okay,
- 33:08Speaker 1: So then at the group date dinner portion. Well, actually
- 33:14Speaker 1: during this entire date, we see that the like, the
- 33:18Speaker 1: guys are taking so much more effort with her than
- 33:20Speaker 1: they did the previous week, which is very important. Brendan,
- 33:25Speaker 1: Brandon and Clayton probably going their most out of the
- 33:30Speaker 1: way to show her attention. Uh. During the date the
- 33:36Speaker 1: nighttime portion, Um, what are some standout moments that you have?
- 33:43Speaker 1: Let's see here. So that was I think the conversation.
- 33:46Speaker 1: It's the I think it's the first conversation that stood
- 33:48Speaker 1: out to me with Clayton, and it's the only one, right,
- 33:51Speaker 1: and it was them talking about their parents and how
- 33:53Speaker 1: they're race kind of similarly. Yeah, So I think that
- 33:57Speaker 1: that that's the first one to kind of give me
- 33:59Speaker 1: some hope. Um and I'm not gonna lie. I saw
- 34:02Speaker 1: I did see some chemistry there between between Michelle and Clayton.
- 34:05Speaker 1: I hadn't seen it at all before, but there was
- 34:06Speaker 1: something there. Um Brandon and her and her It's just
- 34:11Speaker 1: it works. Is very easy with them. They're they're really
- 34:14Speaker 1: good at like flirting with each other. They have that
- 34:16Speaker 1: just like natural. See to me, I feel like their
- 34:20Speaker 1: relationship is very physical. It's like it's physically it's based
- 34:24Speaker 1: on physical attraction right now. Yes, I could see that,
- 34:29Speaker 1: and hopefully you see that develop into into something more.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Um and I think it will. Uh. Trying to think
- 34:36Speaker 1: what other in that specific group date one, Well, I
- 34:39Speaker 1: guess it was Chris basically waiting for her to go
- 34:44Speaker 1: up it to him and say like, thank you for
- 34:48Speaker 1: giving me warnings last weeks thing. Yeah, I I that
- 34:56Speaker 1: didn't make any sense to me too. He was It's
- 34:59Speaker 1: like he was because he was mad that from the
- 35:02Speaker 1: previous week that no one was treating or giving her
- 35:04Speaker 1: the attention that she deserved, and and then they are
- 35:07Speaker 1: doing that exact thing now he's still mad about it.
- 35:09Speaker 1: And then he I don't know, like I said, he
- 35:11Speaker 1: just puzzled me the entire episode. Everything he did. I
- 35:15Speaker 1: would have just been like, dude, do the opposite, like
- 35:17Speaker 1: what what are you doing? That's such a funny point.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Last week it was all about you guys didn't come
- 35:22Speaker 1: grab me and now and he was like, yeah, everybody
- 35:26Speaker 1: didn't come grab you. I thought that was gross. And
- 35:29Speaker 1: now this week he's like, why didn't you come grab me?
- 35:32Speaker 1: Grab me? Yeah? I don't know. Man, Oh the irony
- 35:36Speaker 1: that is wild. Okay, so um, Clayton ends up getting
- 35:41Speaker 1: the group date Rose, and I do believe it was
- 35:44Speaker 1: one of those moments where it was like he got
- 35:47Speaker 1: the group date Rose because they finally like clicked. Yeah,
- 35:52Speaker 1: and maybe even for him too. I know he said
- 35:53Speaker 1: something like he probably figured they're gonna do football right
- 35:56Speaker 1: with the whole stadium date card, and he like fell
- 35:59Speaker 1: asleep at night and he is like, you know, I
- 36:00Speaker 1: need to show out, like I need to go all out.
- 36:02Speaker 1: And I remember having moments like that. Where is he
- 36:04Speaker 1: former football player? I believe he is, and I actually
- 36:07Speaker 1: think he is. He played for the Seahawks, which obviously
- 36:10Speaker 1: aired fan of so um. You know what, I'm happy
- 36:14Speaker 1: that he's a bachelor because you gotta we gotta a
- 36:18Speaker 1: fellow Seahawk there. I think he was don't quote me, Underson,
- 36:21Speaker 1: but um, yeah, I think you saw him. You know
- 36:25Speaker 1: he kind of you know what it's like, right, did
- 36:27Speaker 1: you have that you kind of find your group? It
- 36:29Speaker 1: maybe takes a little bit, but like something happens and
- 36:31Speaker 1: you feel like comfortable, you're in a setting that just
- 36:33Speaker 1: like is your is your place, and then it's just
- 36:37Speaker 1: at least for me, I I resonated with that, the
- 36:39Speaker 1: confidence just kind of shifts. You saw that with Clayton
- 36:41Speaker 1: kind of you didn't even play football, it was just
- 36:43Speaker 1: maybe being in the stadium. Maybe I don't know what
- 36:45Speaker 1: it was, but you saw him kind of start to
- 36:48Speaker 1: find his group a little bit and got the rods
- 36:50Speaker 1: and we'll see what develops. Okay, so he did play
- 36:54Speaker 1: for the Seahawks. He did like that was the only
- 36:59Speaker 1: team he played, the only professional team he played on. Okay,
- 37:05Speaker 1: so now we go to Nate's one on one. He
- 37:09Speaker 1: gets the one on one after saying, you know, after
- 37:11Speaker 1: starting a live drama last week by saying, my one
- 37:13Speaker 1: on one is only a matter of time, which you know,
- 37:16Speaker 1: I can understand why Chris would interpret that as um,
- 37:21Speaker 1: a little cocky, but at the same time, I think
- 37:24Speaker 1: he described when Nate was describing to her friends on
- 37:28Speaker 1: the boat why he said that, I thought it made
- 37:30Speaker 1: total sense. He was just like, you know, I know
- 37:33Speaker 1: what we have between us. She keeps saying I'm going
- 37:36Speaker 1: to be around for a while, that she's looking forward
- 37:38Speaker 1: to spending more time with me. He has good reason,
- 37:41Speaker 1: and he explained it in a humble way. UM so so, um,
- 37:48Speaker 1: what else was there about that date there on the boat?
- 37:51Speaker 1: You know? Then she says we're gonna have a group date,
- 37:53Speaker 1: brings her two best friends Ali and Tia on. Um.
- 37:56Speaker 1: The girls talk about, you know, like when they're leaving.
- 37:59Speaker 1: They said that they feel the chemistry, they feel like
- 38:02Speaker 1: he's there for the right reasons and all of that. Um.
- 38:06Speaker 1: She she said that in an alley. She said that
- 38:09Speaker 1: she's very particular about the guys that Michelle sees because
- 38:13Speaker 1: she's put way more effort in than the guys that
- 38:16Speaker 1: have been relationships with her in the past. So she
- 38:19Speaker 1: didn't think she was gonna like him. She wasn't sure,
- 38:20Speaker 1: but she does like him, and that I don't get
- 38:26Speaker 1: I don't see Michelle like I'm I'd be so curious
- 38:30Speaker 1: to like go back in time and see these guys
- 38:32Speaker 1: at Michelle's. I don't see Michelle tracting these kind of
- 38:35Speaker 1: guys that she says that she's been with, Like to me, like,
- 38:38Speaker 1: she just seems like she has it all together in
- 38:41Speaker 1: so many ways, and obviously it happened, but I'm just like,
- 38:44Speaker 1: I'm shocked that she would tolerate that, yeah, like for
- 38:48Speaker 1: so long, for three years. Like again, like I really
- 38:51Speaker 1: I think the world of her and like everything I've
- 38:52Speaker 1: seen on the show, like there's really nothing to hate,
- 38:54Speaker 1: nothing really criticized at all, and just respect. And I'm like,
- 38:58Speaker 1: I'm shocked that that those have been the relate sationships
- 39:00Speaker 1: that she's been And you would you wouldn't really necessarily
- 39:02Speaker 1: expect it from a girl like her. You have a
- 39:04Speaker 1: great point there, you would not. Maybe she's matured a
- 39:09Speaker 1: law in the past couple of years. Um, yeah, no,
- 39:15Speaker 1: she doesn't seem like a girl that would put up
- 39:16Speaker 1: with that. Everything happens to a reason, So yeah, well
- 39:23Speaker 1: she actually let's let's kind of go into that because
- 39:27Speaker 1: during the nighttime portion of this day, she talks to
- 39:29Speaker 1: Nate about one of those toxic relationships where she literally
- 39:34Speaker 1: couldn't eat because she was just like so anxiety written
- 39:39Speaker 1: in this relationship that that she thought that she had
- 39:43Speaker 1: like an actual medical issue, and the doctors couldn't figure
- 39:47Speaker 1: out what was going on, and it ended up just
- 39:50Speaker 1: like her needing to get out of the relationship, um
- 39:54Speaker 1: to the to the point where they were going to
- 39:56Speaker 1: put a feeding tube in her, Like how wild she
- 39:59Speaker 1: couldn't I make food that much stress? I mean, yeah,
- 40:03Speaker 1: they say like stress kills and I mean that that's
- 40:06Speaker 1: like the definition of a toxic relationship right there. Um yeah,
- 40:12Speaker 1: super sad here, I guess, yeah, even yeah, I just
- 40:15Speaker 1: to my point, I mean, you know, she obviously probably
- 40:17Speaker 1: learned so much from from that relationship and moving forward,
- 40:21Speaker 1: and I guess what we're seeing is like a I'm
- 40:24Speaker 1: not saying reformed or polished, because she just seems to
- 40:27Speaker 1: such a great person, but she's grown a lot and
- 40:30Speaker 1: learn a lot of lessons you can tell from her
- 40:32Speaker 1: prior her up raising. And um, yeah, it's super sad
- 40:37Speaker 1: that she went through that, But it's good thing. She's
- 40:39Speaker 1: not a good things. She's not in it anymore. The
- 40:41Speaker 1: one thing about this is that this was one of
- 40:43Speaker 1: these one on ones where we learn more about Michelle
- 40:45Speaker 1: than we learned about Nate. We don't really get a
- 40:48Speaker 1: story from Nate. Yeah, Um, so that doesn't happen a lot.
- 40:54Speaker 1: It doesn't happen a lot. I don't know. I I
- 40:59Speaker 1: wonder or what that means. I wonder if they're what like,
- 41:02Speaker 1: what kind of conversations were picked out of this you know,
- 41:07Speaker 1: a way out of this um? And I wonder what's
- 41:10Speaker 1: going to happen during the teasers because in the teasers
- 41:14Speaker 1: they talk about how like somebody's an actor, right, and
- 41:18Speaker 1: they keep directing that at Nate, And I don't know
- 41:22Speaker 1: if I buy that. It's as yeah, it's not going
- 41:24Speaker 1: to Nate one of the they Man, they get you
- 41:26Speaker 1: good editing. I was like, what, that's what it was.
- 41:29Speaker 1: There's a see with Brandon on the on the stairs
- 41:31Speaker 1: and in the previews before it's they dub it with
- 41:34Speaker 1: the crying, right like a guy that dudes crying and
- 41:37Speaker 1: he was just like I had his eyes closed waiting
- 41:39Speaker 1: for the fish to come. That's really what it Wasn't like, man,
- 41:42Speaker 1: every they're so good. They're so good, So who do
- 41:45Speaker 1: you think that's directed at? If anybody in the cast?
- 41:48Speaker 1: They literally could have been talking about like Ben Affleck,
- 41:52Speaker 1: like he's an actor, like someone they just saw like
- 41:55Speaker 1: on a group they on the street or random dude.
- 41:58Speaker 1: I'm putting money on it's it's not Nate. Guys, they're
- 42:00Speaker 1: going to show you that. Um. I I don't know.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Now that Chris has gone there one thing I'll say,
- 42:07Speaker 1: I'm surprised they have gotten rid of all the villains
- 42:12Speaker 1: so quickly. Well, that's another villain going to pop up?
- 42:15Speaker 1: And will it be Nate? I think is the biggest question,
- 42:17Speaker 1: because I think that people, if they had to choose
- 42:21Speaker 1: a villain in this bunch, it might be Nate. Now
- 42:25Speaker 1: why not? Sure? Right? Is it the overconfidence that's the
- 42:30Speaker 1: only thing? Because I think I said earlier it's it's
- 42:32Speaker 1: and I could be completely wrong just from what I've seen.
- 42:35Speaker 1: There's some things that kind of like maybe rubbed me
- 42:38Speaker 1: the wrong way a little bit, But I want to
- 42:40Speaker 1: give them the benefit of the doubt. Um it's yeah,
- 42:44Speaker 1: I think, like I said, the over confidence sometimes it
- 42:46Speaker 1: can come off a little like unbecoming. But I don't
- 42:50Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know who else I would say
- 42:52Speaker 1: besides him, just because the storyline we've kind of gotten.
- 42:54Speaker 1: I really don't all right, Well, if we are trying
- 43:07Speaker 1: to figure out who is going to be a villain,
- 43:10Speaker 1: if any, for the remainder, I don't know, five or
- 43:13Speaker 1: six weeks left in the season, why don't we pull
- 43:16Speaker 1: an a lum from this season who was eliminated week
- 43:20Speaker 1: three as a guest. Right now, let's get him in
- 43:23Speaker 1: the Let's get him. He's sitting in the waiting room,
- 43:25Speaker 1: but let's just get him on the podcast. It's Molik Johnson.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Maybe he has some insight into the guy's left. Hello, hello, Malik. Yes,
- 43:39Speaker 1: we're breaking down this week's episode, and we have some
- 43:42Speaker 1: questions for you. Absolutely, of the guys that remain, is
- 43:48Speaker 1: there anyone that you had bad vibes from? Okay, well,
- 43:53Speaker 1: Chris asked when he gets eliminated in this episode, so
- 43:58Speaker 1: this is so there you go. Um, why did you
- 44:01Speaker 1: have bad vibes for with Chris asked, Well, you were
- 44:04Speaker 1: still there because he didn't quite start drama until last week,
- 44:08Speaker 1: right right. I don't know. For me, I just definitely
- 44:11Speaker 1: I definitely felt something off with him. You know, I
- 44:14Speaker 1: remember a basketball game. Every time the cameras came around,
- 44:17Speaker 1: he just was just very anxious to speak and talk
- 44:19Speaker 1: about a lot of things, And as soon as the
- 44:22Speaker 1: camera left, he just stopped and I'm like, hey, what's up.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Like it just seems as if those very calculated just
- 44:27Speaker 1: just they're just trying to like get like a bunch
- 44:29Speaker 1: of like camera time and just just know what to
- 44:31Speaker 1: say the right time, when to inter checked. It was
- 44:34Speaker 1: just it was just I just you just rubbed me
- 44:35Speaker 1: wrong with a little bit, seem you sing a little off?
- 44:37Speaker 1: Was he was he closed with anyone, uh, like any
- 44:40Speaker 1: of the guys Martin not even really like that. It
- 44:44Speaker 1: was more close to Jamie. Um, after Jamie left then
- 44:47Speaker 1: I think him and Martin press May it came a
- 44:49Speaker 1: little bit closer. But like he was, he was just
- 44:51Speaker 1: there and he just always had something to say. I
- 44:52Speaker 1: was just trying to like be uh the cool guy.
- 44:55Speaker 1: I just had something to say, and I just I
- 44:56Speaker 1: just didn't really feel the vibe. So I just didn't
- 44:59Speaker 1: really you know, interact with him a lot. Well, speaking
- 45:01Speaker 1: of Martin, we haven't really touched on this yet. He
- 45:06Speaker 1: ends up saying to Michelle that the women in Florida
- 45:10Speaker 1: or Miami where he's from, um, they're high maintenance. And
- 45:13Speaker 1: it kind of irks her a little bit because he
- 45:16Speaker 1: says that women who are high maintenance he defines as
- 45:20Speaker 1: somebody or as a woman who expects to be fully
- 45:25Speaker 1: taken care of by a man. Now, we don't really
- 45:29Speaker 1: figure out what specifically she has an issue with in
- 45:33Speaker 1: that statement. I am thinking, in a relationship, you want
- 45:38Speaker 1: to be one you want full effort, which would mean
- 45:42Speaker 1: that you want the guy to care um, and then
- 45:46Speaker 1: you want your heart and all your emotions to be
- 45:49Speaker 1: also fully cared for. For the two men in the
- 45:53Speaker 1: room right now, how did you How do you feel
- 45:56Speaker 1: about that statement? I honestly, I think that I just
- 46:01Speaker 1: think he did a very poor job of actually explaining
- 46:04Speaker 1: what he really meant. I don't, honestly don't think that anyone,
- 46:08Speaker 1: like listen, both a man and a woman. Yes, you
- 46:11Speaker 1: want to feel like the others putting in a hundred
- 46:12Speaker 1: percent effort. But I don't think anyone goes into relationship
- 46:15Speaker 1: wanting someone to be high maintenance. I think he'd find
- 46:17Speaker 1: high maintenance incorrectly, just just the wrong way. I really
- 46:21Speaker 1: don't think Michelle is looking for a high maintenance guy. Um.
- 46:24Speaker 1: She was a hundred percent right and coming right back
- 46:26Speaker 1: at him and saying, well, you know, throwing it back
- 46:30Speaker 1: in his face and essentially and saying that no, you
- 46:32Speaker 1: should be wanting to take care of the person, just
- 46:35Speaker 1: like you know, both you guys should be doing the
- 46:36Speaker 1: same thing and putting the effort in. But I think
- 46:38Speaker 1: he did a poor job of explaining what he was
- 46:41Speaker 1: trying to explain. It's kind of like week two for
- 46:44Speaker 1: him there, because we also saw him explain his relationship
- 46:48Speaker 1: with Jamie a little oddly last week. Um and in
- 46:51Speaker 1: her decision to eliminate him. Malik, how did you feel
- 46:54Speaker 1: about Martin in the house? UM? At first? Be honest
- 46:58Speaker 1: with you, I mean, I didn't really get a lot
- 47:00Speaker 1: of UM. I didn't have a lot of interaction with
- 47:02Speaker 1: Martin at first. But remember, like the thing it was
- 47:04Speaker 1: the second Rose ceremony. He was having a cover. There's
- 47:07Speaker 1: a group having conversation, and it's when she's talking about
- 47:10Speaker 1: she feel like people were questioning her or her character,
- 47:12Speaker 1: and you know, I just remember there was a conversation happened.
- 47:15Speaker 1: I looked over and I just said, hey, you know,
- 47:17Speaker 1: if you're not here for the right reasons, you're gonna
- 47:20Speaker 1: get found out ver sooner or later. And so I
- 47:22Speaker 1: looked over, I just saw like a fish expression and
- 47:27Speaker 1: since that moment, I kind of just kind of sat
- 47:28Speaker 1: back and I was trying to observe more. But you know,
- 47:30Speaker 1: obviously I wasn't there for much longer to really really
- 47:32Speaker 1: because I'm very observant, so I really like to sit
- 47:34Speaker 1: back and like, watch what's going on here, And so
- 47:37Speaker 1: I sent I sent a little something there which was
- 47:39Speaker 1: it was with which I was trying to figure out.
- 47:43Speaker 1: But you obviously didn't stay long enough to figure out
- 47:45Speaker 1: what's off about him entirely. Ah, So you're insinuating that
- 47:50Speaker 1: Martin could be there for the wrong reasons. I mean, listen,
- 47:54Speaker 1: I'm a good judge of character, and I picked up
- 47:57Speaker 1: on some things real quick and easy, and so I
- 47:59Speaker 1: just I wasn't you, Um, I wasn't feeling a great,
- 48:04Speaker 1: very very very great or positive towards him. Interesting. Interesting, Now,
- 48:08Speaker 1: what about Nate, Because before you got on, Peter and
- 48:12Speaker 1: I were talking about Nate and how of all the
- 48:15Speaker 1: guys that remain. For some reason, I feel like maybe
- 48:20Speaker 1: the edit is trying to make us hesitant of Nate,
- 48:26Speaker 1: even though we haven't really seen anything of proof yet. Yeah,
- 48:30Speaker 1: and it's always says one of those things you never
- 48:32Speaker 1: really know until you really know right, and for me,
- 48:35Speaker 1: minor actually with Nate was very positive and Nate was
- 48:38Speaker 1: a very genuine person to me, an individual, and so
- 48:41Speaker 1: I'll actually liked me a lot. And I don't know
- 48:43Speaker 1: his true intentions are, like you know what's going to
- 48:45Speaker 1: happen at the end, but um, I feel like he's good.
- 48:47Speaker 1: It's a great human Okay, Greg, great. So when you
- 48:50Speaker 1: left the house, I know you only left weeks you know,
- 48:52Speaker 1: you left week three and there's a lot of time
- 48:54Speaker 1: after that. But who did you go home and say, Oh,
- 48:59Speaker 1: I think it's this sky who's gonna win? Nate or Joe?
- 49:05Speaker 1: What about Brandon? You know, I said this, and I
- 49:09Speaker 1: remember saying this, Brandon would be the right choice for
- 49:12Speaker 1: her because Brandon is smitten by her, and man, Brandon
- 49:16Speaker 1: is just like like he's like that young puppy child.
- 49:18Speaker 1: He's like you just will do anything for her. So
- 49:21Speaker 1: if she wants someone who's just gonna be all about her,
- 49:23Speaker 1: then I felat Brandon is the right choice. But when
- 49:25Speaker 1: it comes to Nate or Joe, I think they're a
- 49:26Speaker 1: little bit more mature, a little bit more advanced, you know,
- 49:29Speaker 1: ready to potentially you know, make her their fiance or
- 49:33Speaker 1: their fiance. I wonder if you're right. And we've seen
- 49:36Speaker 1: the preview. There's a father that's talking to Michelle is
- 49:40Speaker 1: saying he's not ready. I saw that and I was
- 49:43Speaker 1: just like, and that she doesn't make sense because like,
- 49:45Speaker 1: even though I love all these men, like you must
- 49:47Speaker 1: say is great? Like is he real to be engaged?
- 49:49Speaker 1: I don't know, I said to the end, as as
- 49:51Speaker 1: great as he is. Maybe at the end it could
- 49:54Speaker 1: be his father, could be Joe's father. I don't know,
- 49:56Speaker 1: could be any of them, because some father is like,
- 49:59Speaker 1: I know my son. We've got to analyze that dad's
- 50:02Speaker 1: face and figure out which one he looks. I'm trying to.
- 50:05Speaker 1: I know, it's like, think you do I see that.
- 50:08Speaker 1: I think it could be Joe. It could be Joe
- 50:11Speaker 1: or Brandon. I don't think it's name. I think all
- 50:15Speaker 1: their dads are African American. So alright, Malik, you got
- 50:19Speaker 1: to know Clayton. We've been talking on this podfact this
- 50:23Speaker 1: on this podcast for weeks as to why Clayton was
- 50:26Speaker 1: chosen to be the Bachelor. Please give us some insight.
- 50:30Speaker 1: I wish I knew. Tell us that, bro, don't tell
- 50:33Speaker 1: us that I'm serious. I wish I knew, because you know,
- 50:40Speaker 1: when I was there, Like I'm honest with you, I
- 50:42Speaker 1: thought he was going home like week after week and
- 50:44Speaker 1: when like when I got does he know? Who? Did
- 50:46Speaker 1: you know on the show? Jock, I'm Florida. There's a
- 50:51Speaker 1: lot there's a lot of comparison with him in previous bachelors,
- 50:54Speaker 1: so maybe he has a right Look, I don't know.
- 50:55Speaker 1: All right, Well, I mean that has to lead me
- 50:57Speaker 1: to another question. When we get off sea in mostly
- 51:01Speaker 1: or So, I feel like there's a big group message
- 51:05Speaker 1: between the cast of that season where you kind of
- 51:09Speaker 1: bringing new people into the chat each week once they're eliminated.
- 51:15Speaker 1: So did you guys have a group chat? Yeah, we
- 51:18Speaker 1: got a group chat and Clayton is he was he
- 51:21Speaker 1: in it? Clayton's not in it because Clayton has been
- 51:24Speaker 1: busy and my probably wasn't allowed. Yeah, you know, so
- 51:27Speaker 1: he was suing. Maybe he wasn't allowed to be here.
- 51:29Speaker 1: All right, Well, you've been a wealth of knowledge. Thank
- 51:33Speaker 1: you mo league for all your insight. Thank you man,
- 51:36Speaker 1: I give all right, thanks for being on the show.
- 51:40Speaker 1: We appreciate you, hope to have you back. Appreciate You'll
- 51:42Speaker 1: have a great day. Alright, Well, Peter, we got some
- 51:47Speaker 1: answers there. We did. We did, honestly. I think I
- 51:50Speaker 1: think he's honest something. Yeah, I think I can see
- 51:53Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie, I'm a big Brandon fan, but
- 51:54Speaker 1: I can see what he's talking about. The little the
- 51:56Speaker 1: smitten nous. He feels young. That's the only thing. Yeah,
- 52:01Speaker 1: I see that a lot of youth there, which is
- 52:04Speaker 1: sweet and endearing, but like ready to be married. I
- 52:08Speaker 1: don't know, not yeah, and not quite the same levels. Yeah.
- 52:11Speaker 1: Anything else we haven't spoken about, well, I guess I
- 52:14Speaker 1: guess Chris, the conversation with Chris. We need to talk
- 52:17Speaker 1: about this. Chris comes and crashes the date, which is
- 52:21Speaker 1: the weirdest thing, um, but also like not surprising because
- 52:26Speaker 1: Chris keeps proving to be weird and selecting times to
- 52:31Speaker 1: talk to Michelle when he you know, and in also
- 52:35Speaker 1: weird times. He said, I think I think even goes.
- 52:38Speaker 1: He's like, dude, this is weird. He keeps saying, this
- 52:41Speaker 1: is weird, this is weird. Yes, Okay, So he comes
- 52:46Speaker 1: and he's just like I just wanted to like let
- 52:48Speaker 1: you know again that Nate's not a good guy or something,
- 52:53Speaker 1: and she's like Okay, well, um, this is just like
- 52:58Speaker 1: we have nothing. She's like, I'm having a great time
- 53:01Speaker 1: with them, So I disagree respectfully, and she's like, I
- 53:06Speaker 1: don't have a good time with you, though, so I
- 53:08Speaker 1: think I'm gonna send you home again one of the
- 53:11Speaker 1: she like, and then her whole like her whole, like
- 53:14Speaker 1: her response. She's so freaking polished. How does she do
- 53:18Speaker 1: it on the spot there, I'm just like, I just
- 53:22Speaker 1: I wish I would have seen your season before I
- 53:24Speaker 1: ever attempted to do this, like you were just She's
- 53:27Speaker 1: I keep saying a rock star, like I don't need
- 53:29Speaker 1: a man to speak for me. I can speak for myself,
- 53:32Speaker 1: going back into like how she's been treated in the
- 53:34Speaker 1: past and examples, and like it's just it's such an
- 53:37Speaker 1: empowered like she said it, she feels empowered now and
- 53:39Speaker 1: she's able to speak for herself, and I'm just there
- 53:41Speaker 1: like rooting for her, and I'm like, yes, yes, and like,
- 53:44Speaker 1: I honestly feel bad for Chris because it looks a
- 53:46Speaker 1: little ridiculous, but I mean, Michelle, she handled that as
- 53:49Speaker 1: perfect as she could handle it, with so much grace
- 53:51Speaker 1: and walked him out, and that was that. She's so articulate.
- 53:55Speaker 1: I'm so jealous. I feel like I do on this
- 53:58Speaker 1: podcast every week and just be like b Michelle, speak
- 54:02Speaker 1: like Michelle, and like she should just be my role
- 54:05Speaker 1: model in life. I feel like you can't really will
- 54:07Speaker 1: see if she gets flustered. I mean, she had a
- 54:10Speaker 1: little bit of this stuff with that last episode and
- 54:12Speaker 1: guys not giving her attention, but like you really haven't
- 54:14Speaker 1: seen her fully like breakdown or like has something she
- 54:17Speaker 1: couldn't really handle. I'm curious to she gets pushed to
- 54:22Speaker 1: her limit and if we get to see that, I
- 54:24Speaker 1: don't know. I think she'll even be articulate in that moment.
- 54:27Speaker 1: I agree, I do. She stands up for herself beautifully. Okay,
- 54:32Speaker 1: so with the cocktail party not a whole one she discussed,
- 54:36Speaker 1: I have to say I don't get the Rick thing.
- 54:40Speaker 1: He seems like a nice guy, and I think I
- 54:42Speaker 1: said it in last week's episode. I still can't think
- 54:45Speaker 1: about him without just seeing his head on the tray,
- 54:49Speaker 1: and I wonder if I would have a different perspective
- 54:53Speaker 1: if he didn't do that. Yeah, And I think because
- 54:57Speaker 1: like so that's our first introduction to him, and he
- 55:00Speaker 1: does have very expressive eyes. That's what it is because
- 55:03Speaker 1: I keep seeing his eyes on the tray. That's all
- 55:06Speaker 1: you saw. There was nothing really to look at besides
- 55:09Speaker 1: the eyes. They're just so captivating. And I think she
- 55:12Speaker 1: even said that too, like he did his little strut
- 55:15Speaker 1: and he was more of his eyes in the strut.
- 55:16Speaker 1: She said, oh, you're eyes and yeah, there he's got
- 55:20Speaker 1: nice eyes. Um. I thought that had a nice date. Uh.
- 55:25Speaker 1: I don't know what an episode that was, but yeah,
- 55:27Speaker 1: I don't know necessarily, I think I had had We
- 55:30Speaker 1: did a top five and he was one of my
- 55:33Speaker 1: top five for the For the end, I don't know
- 55:37Speaker 1: if I'll necessarily make it there. It might be top five,
- 55:40Speaker 1: I think Sam maybe the five. I don't think the
- 55:42Speaker 1: top four. Yeah, because if we were going to break
- 55:45Speaker 1: down the top four, okay, well you and I on
- 55:47Speaker 1: the same page, we got Joe Brandon, um and in
- 55:52Speaker 1: Nate and then there's like one more spot to fill,
- 55:55Speaker 1: which I think I would fill with Rodney. Yes. I
- 55:59Speaker 1: was surprised Eyes was the last rows this week because
- 56:02Speaker 1: I thought they were going to leave us hanging with
- 56:04Speaker 1: the Martin decision. Yeah, I was. I was shocked by
- 56:08Speaker 1: that too. And then I'm curious, see if how that
- 56:11Speaker 1: gets if that just gets blown over because you see
- 56:14Speaker 1: in the previews like they're full on making out in
- 56:16Speaker 1: episodes that come her and Martin, so it seems like
- 56:18Speaker 1: that's not an issue with their conversation. Yeah, yeah, I know.
- 56:24Speaker 1: So who's gonna get a limited next week? I mean,
- 56:26Speaker 1: like it's been so obvious up until this point, and
- 56:28Speaker 1: now it's like, Okay, are going to have a little
- 56:32Speaker 1: bit more intensity to them, truly truly dramatic. I think, honestly,
- 56:38Speaker 1: I think Rick maybe on the cutting board here, chopping
- 56:42Speaker 1: block here. We shall see, And I think she's going
- 56:46Speaker 1: to bring her parents out on a date soon and
- 56:48Speaker 1: we'll know that she's pretty serious about that. Guy. I'm
- 56:51Speaker 1: just excited to you, Like, I love seeing the travels
- 56:55Speaker 1: coming back and seeing new places and being able to
- 56:57Speaker 1: have them explore and do these cool things. Like I
- 57:00Speaker 1: think it helps the show too. So I think these ratings,
- 57:02Speaker 1: I think it'll it'll pick up this week. If I
- 57:04Speaker 1: had a guess, it was a good episode. I liked it.
- 57:06Speaker 1: She deserves it, she does all right, guys. Um, after
- 57:12Speaker 1: this break, we're gonna do hot topics and Easton and
- 57:15Speaker 1: I are going to discuss our weekend in Nashville at
- 57:18Speaker 1: Ben and Jess's wedding will be your book. Okay, guys,
- 57:30Speaker 1: welcome back. We're gonna get Easton on the line. Hey, Eastern, Hi, Ashley,
- 57:35Speaker 1: thanks for having me. Peter Easton is one of our engineers.
- 57:39Speaker 1: He's been with us for the past four years. He's
- 57:41Speaker 1: an amazing dude. And I saw him for the first
- 57:44Speaker 1: time in almost two years in person at Ben's wedding
- 57:47Speaker 1: the other day. Um, let's take them through the evening
- 57:50Speaker 1: a little bit eastern, right. So the ceremony happened in
- 57:54Speaker 1: a tent and it was Reba McIntyre's former estate right there. Yeah, yeah,
- 58:00Speaker 1: in a in a lovely town called Lebanon, Tennessee, right
- 58:03Speaker 1: on the water of a of a body of water.
- 58:05Speaker 1: I'm not familiar with the name, but a little like,
- 58:08Speaker 1: yeah it was. It was an a tent and it
- 58:10Speaker 1: was very cold, but there were a lot of heaters
- 58:12Speaker 1: in there. I was surprised at how warm that tent was.
- 58:15Speaker 1: It's hilarious because as a pregnant person, man, am I
- 58:19Speaker 1: like immune to cold. I feel like I'm always fifteen
- 58:24Speaker 1: degrees hotter than what it really is. So everybody was like,
- 58:27Speaker 1: I'm freezing I'm freezing, and I'm like, really, I'm fine.
- 58:31Speaker 1: I was so cool in that tent, like cool as
- 58:34Speaker 1: in like fine, not like cold. Anyway, we all had
- 58:38Speaker 1: a good laugh when Ben's grooms men came down the aisle,
- 58:42Speaker 1: because there was like fifteen of them. Okay, there was thirteen.
- 58:46Speaker 1: I was being a little dramatic. I counted there was thirteen.
- 58:49Speaker 1: And just to see all these guys walked down the
- 58:52Speaker 1: aisle and it just never stopped was hilarious. But it's
- 58:55Speaker 1: a cheap. It just it describes how many friends Ben
- 58:59Speaker 1: has and Ben even had in addition to those groomsmen ushers,
- 59:04Speaker 1: which Wells was one of them who didn't stand up
- 59:07Speaker 1: there with him, but there was like five and they
- 59:10Speaker 1: they seated people. The grooms was very I had a
- 59:13Speaker 1: really good laugh at that. They just kept coming and coming,
- 59:16Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, the lighting in there was beautiful. Um
- 59:21Speaker 1: it was did you eat to see Ben's face when
- 59:24Speaker 1: he saw Jess walk down the aisle, clearly I was
- 59:28Speaker 1: like on my tiptoes. Yeah, yeah, he got emotional. I
- 59:34Speaker 1: got emotional just watching him. That was. Seeing Ben's reaction
- 59:38Speaker 1: through the whole thing was like, quietly my favorite part
- 59:40Speaker 1: of the ceremony because you could tell he was just
- 59:43Speaker 1: beaming with love that guy. I know. It was definitely
- 59:46Speaker 1: a Seven Dresses moment where half the crowd was looking
- 59:50Speaker 1: at Ben to see his reaction. Jess so so sweet.
- 59:55Speaker 1: Their vows were beautiful. We talked last week. I mean,
- 59:58Speaker 1: the valves are probably my favorite part of the ceremony.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: You oh, yeah, definitely, definitely. I remember Ben saying, you know,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: he had so many important things to say it to Jess,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: and he wanted to do it in front of everyone,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: and it really lived up to expectations. People were joking
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: afterwards that Ben should be like a vowel writer, and
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: I'm like, well, that would be really sad for whoever
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: hired him right fast, but I know what you mean.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: They were fantastic and Jess looked amazing. Ben was kind
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: of right about the dress in the sense that it
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: wasn't bedazzled. It was strapless. It showed enough back, um,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: but it was not a line. It was more of
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: a body con it contoured her body. Um. And then
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: there's four people there, so it was a pact tent,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: and then there are then the The reception was like
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: kind of it was just pretty much a big dance party.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Would you say, Yeah, yeah, I was because there were
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: so many people there and I knew so few people there.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: I was like, oh man, We're gonna be like seated
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: at some table and I have to like make small
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: talk with like a third you know, cousin Higgins or something.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: But it was I really liked how they did it.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: It was just like like they had a buffet with
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: a lot of great food and it was just like
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: a big party the whole time, and you could just
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: kind of walk around and hang and uh yeah, you
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: know again, it was plenty warm. There's lots of heaters
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: everywhere because the temperatures got kind of low. Uh but um,
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: but really quick. I did want to say, you know,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Ben's been talking about how you had three officiants at
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: this thing. I thought I was really confused how that
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: was gonna go. I'm like, are they gonna like round
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: robin or like just all stand up there at the
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: same time. It was really seamless how they did it
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: was just like a transition from like Jesse's um family
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: pastor to their pastor in Denver and then Ben's childhood
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: uh pastor. And it was really really beautiful how they
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: did that I thought it was really seamless. And then um,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: their their band was awesome. That Jordan's Con band, who
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: was actually the band that we had at our wedding,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: not the City, Like it's the same ownership. Um, they
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: have this ownership. Jordan Con has a couple of different bands.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: They sound out, but they were awesome and Ben and
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Jas were seriously just like glowing the entire time. It
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: was awesome to see everyone and our first like real
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: headline kind of goes off of the wedding and that
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: is the fact that Nick Vile and Seawan Booth had
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: a beautiful moment at the wedding. There was no tension
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: to be found. Guys, uh and Wells got on I
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: think it was Instagram and confirmed this. He goes it
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: was not awkward. They were fine. And yes, they've seen
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: each other a number of times since Caitlin season, and
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: I would assume that they would be fine. Um. And
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: other Bachelor headlines pertaining to the wedding. Um, let's see
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Ben said before the wedding, I'm so excited it. This
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: was this quote to People magazine. I'm so excited. We
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: have so much look forward to and I know we
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: will have a beautiful marriage. Uh, they are off on
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: their honeymoon right now in St. Bart's, and so we're
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: going to get so much more information about you know,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Bend and Jesse's feelings on the wedding and of course
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: their honeymoon, which I mean, that was a honeymoon worth
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: waiting for. I'm sure we were all kind of talking
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: behind the scenes about the honeymoon, Okay. I was like,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: you guys, this is like the night I'm not stressed.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: I'm like really stressed for them. Do you think it
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: happened that night that I don't know? Is this the
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: worst to be talking about this? Isn't it true that
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: like when you get married, like you're absolutely exhausted after,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: like you just a lot of couples, of of them,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: of married couples like don't have sex on their wedding night.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: I think that's like a real stat And I didn't
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: I talk about honest, we did. I had to for
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: the tradition of it, and and then I don't. I
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: don't know. I kept thinking that day. I was like,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: are we going to add extra stress to Jess like
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: on this night when they finally get back to their
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: wedding nights She's gonna be like, I have to have
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: a whole other new experience in my life right now.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: That is crazy, Damn. I know. Alright, So if they didn't,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: should we talk about it? Then? Should we talk about
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: it with Ben when it comes back? I'm dying to know,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: But I'm also so worried about asking. Alright, well, audience, hey,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: you let us know. Should we talk to Ben about
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: his wedding night? All right, well, we we've got to
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: wrap up here, but we do have one more headline.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: I want to get to um Corney Robertson. She turned
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: down oh underd and fifty thousand dollars to compete on
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Dancing with the Stars. Are you shocked by that, Peter,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: I am shocked. Yeah. If I feel like I would
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: be a fun, fun experience, I mean I probably do
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: it for less than that. But um, I did she
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: like explain anything why or just like she just wasn't
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: about it? I guess huh. She said, I had a
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: meeting with them right after my season of the Bachelor.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: That was one one thing that I would have loved
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: to have done. Um was offered, you know, I was
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: offered again a hunter fifty thousand plus tens of thousands
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: of dollars for each week or she remained on the show.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: But apparently Ben Flinnik, who she was engaged to it
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: at the time, didn't like the idea. He said, if
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: you do it, you won't have a fiancee. Al Right, Peter,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: how do you feel about that? What if? What if
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: that happened to you? Well, I think that's b s
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: And I think I mean they're not together anymore. Correct. Yeah,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: so now she really just lost fifty for no reason. Yeah,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: now that that's that's a shame. I don't know why, if,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: like I was in that position, I never that's such
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: a cool opportunity, like kind of a once in a
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: lifetime opportunity. I don't know why he would have been
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: anti that. Um, I don't know. I think I would
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: have been a little bit more supportive. But maybe he
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: was jealous. He didn't want her to get close to
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: the partner because everybody always speculates about a romantic relationship
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: between the partner. And also it's hard getting off of
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: your season and then like going into like being so
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: physically intimate with some other person and then having to
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: do all those rehearsals and dedicate all the time, Um,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: with that with that person, to that craft and not
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: to your new fiance. Totally, and you know, I mean
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: to look at it from both sides. Yeah, if this
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: was right after their season, I totally get him probably
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: wanting to maybe just have some more privacy and like
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: focus on just the two of them and not really distractions.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: And this obviously would have caused that, So I could
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: see that side of it. But if she was excited,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: like I put myself in his shues, if like I
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: had a fiance that was super excited and really wanted to,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: I would have been a hundred percent behind her to
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: do it. But um, it's a bummer. Why weren't you
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: asked to do Dancing with the Stars? I feel like
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: most bachelors do you get you were you never asked.
