- 4:04Speaker 3: to watch a concert in three day. I don't think
- 4:06Speaker 3: I've ever done that, and Billie Eilish would be a
- 4:08Speaker 3: great one to watch. Matthew McConaughey and Yetti just launched
- 4:13Speaker 3: a lot Cooler Coolers.
- 4:15Speaker 4: What is a lot cooler cooler?
- 4:16Speaker 3: It's a limited edition cooler inspired by Matthew Mcconaugheyes, it'd

- 4:40Speaker 2: At least it'd be a lot cooler if you did
- 4:42Speaker 2: all right.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Cool.
- 4:44Speaker 3: That's three things you need to know more at the
- 4:47Speaker 3: Alabama Show dot com.
- 4:48Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show on to met Good.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Morning, Leslie. What's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 4:55Speaker 5: I don't want my daughter to wear a dress that
- 4:57Speaker 5: she bought.
- 4:59Speaker 2: That's why we I do Ask Alabama.
- 5:01Speaker 3: If you ever have an issue, you call the show
- 5:03Speaker 3: eight three thirty five by one and BAMA is the number.
- 5:06Speaker 2: What's going on with the dress and why don't you
- 5:07Speaker 2: want your daughter to wear it?
- 5:09Speaker 5: My daughter is sixteen and she's been saving up her
- 5:12Speaker 5: birthday money and her babysitting money that she's been earning
- 5:17Speaker 5: to buy a dress for her cousin's wedding. And she
- 5:21Speaker 5: ordered it online, of course, you know that's how they
- 5:23Speaker 5: all order everything now. And when it came in, she
- 5:27Speaker 5: tried it on, and she came downstairs to show me
- 5:30Speaker 5: and my husband and I was in shock. I could
- 5:34Speaker 5: not believe the dress she picked out.
- 5:37Speaker 2: What did it look like? What was wrong with it?
- 5:39Speaker 5: Remember she's sixteen. It has no back, at thigh high slit,
- 5:45Speaker 5: and it looks like something you'd wear to the club.
- 5:48Speaker 5: This is the it's for cousin's wedding. We're gonna have grandparents, aunts, uncles,
- 5:54Speaker 5: children and other family members at the wedding, and so
- 5:57Speaker 5: I told her, no, absolutely not, you cannot wear that.
- 6:01Speaker 2: What did she do when you told her she couldn't
- 6:03Speaker 2: wear it?
- 6:03Speaker 5: She had a complete and total meltdown. She flipped out
- 6:06Speaker 5: on me, and she went crying to her dad and
- 6:09Speaker 5: telling me, and she's telling me, of course, that I'm
- 6:12Speaker 5: being too strict. And you know, she used her money.
- 6:16Speaker 5: She's old enough to wear it, because she's old enough
- 6:18Speaker 5: to buy it on her own. And so now me
- 6:21Speaker 5: and my husband are fighting over it, and so I
- 6:25Speaker 5: don't know.
- 6:25Speaker 3: What to do now, Producer Blake, now's your chance to
- 6:27Speaker 3: pretend like you're a father to a sixteen year old.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Think twenty years in your future. What would you do
- 6:33Speaker 2: if your daughter was wearing a backless dress and a
- 6:35Speaker 2: slid up to her sigh to go to a family wedding.
- 6:38Speaker 6: I'm giving her her money back, and I'm going to
- 6:40Speaker 6: return that dress, and we're getting something appropriate for family.
- 6:43Speaker 2: A just backless and his leg.
- 6:46Speaker 4: It has like a slit up the leg is what
- 6:48Speaker 4: we got.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Told.
- 6:49Speaker 3: I guarantee you if she wears a bathing suit to
- 6:51Speaker 3: the beach, the bathing suit's going to show more than
- 6:53Speaker 3: the dress would not in.
- 6:55Speaker 6: That one piece of little mini skirt, No, ma'am, to
- 6:57Speaker 6: be appropriate for everywhere.
- 6:59Speaker 4: We ain't doing until she's eighteen.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Here with the thing.
- 7:02Speaker 3: As a girl who was a teenager who had a
- 7:04Speaker 3: grandmother that would not let me wear certain clothes, I
- 7:07Speaker 3: guarantee you I would take the clothes I wanted to
- 7:10Speaker 3: wear and I would change.
- 7:11Speaker 2: When I got to the place.
- 7:12Speaker 5: Well, but that's going to be pretty hard for her
- 7:15Speaker 5: to do, because I mean, we're gonna see it.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you'll be at the wedding. Call the show.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Let's see if we can get some advice for you.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Do you have advice for Leslie?
- 7:23Speaker 3: Are you a mom that argues with your teenage daughter
- 7:26Speaker 3: about what she wears? Because I'm not a parent, so
- 7:29Speaker 3: I'm really not the best person to listen to. Eight
- 7:32Speaker 3: three three five A one Bama is the number that's
- 7:35Speaker 3: eight three three five oh one two two sixty two.
- 7:38Speaker 1: If you were listening to the Alabama show on dement
- 7:41Speaker 1: we're talking about daughters wearing clothes they should not be wearing.
- 7:44Speaker 3: I was definitely the girl who snuck clothes out of
- 7:47Speaker 3: the house and changed once I left my grandmother's house,
- 7:50Speaker 3: who raised me. Eight three three five o one BAMA
- 7:53Speaker 3: is the number Leslie called she doesn't like the dress
- 7:56Speaker 3: her sixteen year old daughter bought to wear to a wedding.
- 7:59Speaker 2: What are people saying on social media?
- 8:00Speaker 3: Also, you can go follow the Alabama Show and comment
- 8:03Speaker 3: on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram.
- 8:05Speaker 6: We're everywhere while seeing what age people stop letting their
- 8:08Speaker 6: kids wear whatever, start wearing whatever. And Liz says when
- 8:12Speaker 6: they grew out of their diapers, they would not be
- 8:14Speaker 6: able to choose what they wore. They would not what
- 8:18Speaker 6: they could wear. Sorry, Okay, I messed up. And then
- 8:21Speaker 6: Karen says birth So everyone's on the same page.
- 8:24Speaker 4: Let them wear what they want right now?
- 8:26Speaker 3: On socials, Well, if you have a teenage daughter and
- 8:29Speaker 3: she's wearing something she shouldn't be wearing.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Call the show.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Or were you the teenager that was sneaking out wearing
- 8:34Speaker 3: clothes you shouldn't have been wearing either. Eight three three
- 8:36Speaker 3: five oh one BAMA is the number that's eight three
- 8:39Speaker 3: three five oh one two two sixty two if.
- 8:41Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show, the following program
- 8:44Speaker 1: is on demand.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Eight three three five o one BAMA is the number
- 8:48Speaker 3: to call the show. Leslie is not happy with the
- 8:51Speaker 3: dress her sixteen year old daughter bought to wear to
- 8:53Speaker 3: her cousin's wedding.
- 8:54Speaker 2: She said it shows too much.
- 8:56Speaker 3: If you'd like to call the show eight three three,
- 8:58Speaker 3: five oh one two two sixty two's good morning?
- 9:00Speaker 2: Where are you going from, Jess bro Obama girl? What's
- 9:03Speaker 2: going on in Jasper today?
- 9:05Speaker 3: Well?
- 9:05Speaker 5: I want to voice an opinion on the dress.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Okay, what do you think?
- 9:09Speaker 1: Number one?
- 9:10Speaker 2: She's sixteen.
- 9:11Speaker 5: Parents should still be in control.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Okay, I agree, And I get mad at my.
- 9:16Speaker 5: Daughter because she makes my kids, my grandkids dress very
- 9:20Speaker 5: I mean, they're not allowed to wear swimsuit to the lake.
- 9:23Speaker 5: They're eighteen, sixteen and fourteen. They wear shorts and a
- 9:27Speaker 5: T shirt.
- 9:28Speaker 2: And you get mad about that.
- 9:30Speaker 5: No, I don't get mad about that.
- 9:32Speaker 4: You don't like to stand it.
- 9:33Speaker 5: But I'm saying she's raising her girls to be modest.
- 9:37Speaker 5: They're comfortable with who they are, They do what, they
- 9:41Speaker 5: go out and they get out there in the middle
- 9:43Speaker 5: of ogum people with no clothes on, and they're perfectly happy.
- 9:47Speaker 2: It don't bother. Yeah, that's fine.
- 9:49Speaker 3: I mean, cause there are some bathing suits that show
- 9:51Speaker 3: a little bit way too much.
- 9:52Speaker 7: Oh, well, there's sometimes you wonder who the bathing suit is.
- 9:56Speaker 2: We know where it is.
- 9:59Speaker 5: So my mama was stripped with me. But my philosophy
- 10:03Speaker 5: is you want to follow your own rules by yelling hoiuse.
- 10:07Speaker 2: I love it, Vanessa. Thanks.
- 10:09Speaker 7: You can't take care of you. If you can't take
- 10:11Speaker 7: care of you, say if you ain't got no rotch yet.

- 15:56Speaker 4: Yeah, there's this.
- 15:58Speaker 2: I was leaving the other day.
- 16:00Speaker 3: I go to the YMCA and there's a lot of.

- 16:05Speaker 4: Yeah, of course that's where you gotta get it. Get
- 16:06Speaker 4: it in.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Everybody's grandpa is there, and so as I'm walking out,
- 16:10Speaker 3: we'll go, this old man stops me and starts talking
- 16:14Speaker 3: to me about my tattoo.
- 16:16Speaker 2: So I sit and I start talking to him, and
- 16:18Speaker 2: then he starts telling me how he's from.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Chicago and I lived in Chicago before at one point
- 16:23Speaker 3: in my life. So I was like, oh, I love
- 16:25Speaker 3: the pizza, and we're having a conversation.
- 16:27Speaker 2: I sit. We're like having a full on, twenty minute conversation.
- 16:31Speaker 3: He asked me if I'm married, tells me he would
- 16:34Speaker 3: introduce me to his son if he could, all kinds
- 16:37Speaker 3: of stuff.
- 16:37Speaker 6: Okay, he's just trying to play matchmaker, got it.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Then he starts telling me about his wife's wives multiple wives.
- 16:45Speaker 4: At the same time, or like, no separate.
- 16:47Speaker 2: The last one. He's like, my last one passed away
- 16:50Speaker 2: and he.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Was like, she passed away fifteen years ago from breast cancer.
- 16:53Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, I'm so sorry that you went.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Through that, and he goes, I think she had it
- 16:58Speaker 3: because she was promiscuous, and.
- 17:04Speaker 2: No, please don't say that.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Please.
- 17:07Speaker 2: He goes, I'm telling you, I think that's why she
- 17:10Speaker 2: had it. And I was like, oh, no.
- 17:12Speaker 4: He sounds like a medical professional.
- 17:14Speaker 3: And then he started.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Telling me about his wife before her. He goes, she
- 17:17Speaker 2: was promiscuous too, and I went, oh no, and he goes,
- 17:21Speaker 2: you know, she was fun for me, but I thought she'd.
- 17:23Speaker 6: Got it out of her system when when married.
- 17:26Speaker 2: But apparently she didn't. And I was like, oh no.
- 17:30Speaker 2: And this man has a cane on the table. He
- 17:34Speaker 2: is that old. He is older than my grandmother. My
- 17:36Speaker 2: grandmother is eighty one years old. And I'm like looking
- 17:39Speaker 2: around trying to find whoever brought this guy here. And
- 17:42Speaker 2: I'm like, somebody, come get your grand dad. And he
- 17:45Speaker 2: just keeps on going, and he's like, so you sure
- 17:48Speaker 2: you're not married?
- 17:50Speaker 4: You know what.
- 17:51Speaker 6: I'm starting to think that maybe the wife choices are
- 17:54Speaker 6: his fault.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Then then he's like, well, if you want to have kids,
- 17:58Speaker 2: you better do it soon. You're about to be too old.
- 18:00Speaker 2: And I was like, I just stood up.
- 18:02Speaker 3: At that point, I said, man, I'm really running late
