Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: And what's up y'all?
- 0:02Speaker 2: Your boy DJ Ben I mean, and we are here
- 0:05Speaker 2: with a very special, you know, super special episode of
- 0:08Speaker 2: all nerves. We are here to watch the Doomsday Avengers
- 0:12Speaker 2: doomsday trailer. I got my brother Rodamus Prime here.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Yes, sir man, look, nobody care about us. He played.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Something's coming, something we may not be able to.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Before this day is done.
- 0:39Speaker 3: We shouldn't be fished with another thing.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Cam Bote decision.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Wait is that doom that look like doom to me?
- 0:48Speaker 5: No?
- 0:48Speaker 1: But is that doom talking?
- 0:49Speaker 3: Oh yeah, every.
- 0:51Speaker 4: War with money warriors in night time, that's so far stronger.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Okay, Anthony mac together and they died.
- 1:03Speaker 1: They died facing enemies and threats.
- 1:09Speaker 4: That scared me far less than this one.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Oh, so back give it.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Everything that they sacrifice will be for nothing if we
- 1:25Speaker 4: do not stand together in the previator. Put aside your
- 1:30Speaker 4: petty squabbles, presume nothing except this. If you return, he
- 1:41Speaker 4: will return as brothers and sisters. Put them out of
- 1:51Speaker 4: my words.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Now we be on in Tonda.
- 2:01Speaker 4: A miracle.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Hey, now.
- 2:08Speaker 4: It's not unpossal.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:39Speaker 6: I don't even know what infinity vision is, but I
- 2:41Speaker 6: must see it in this I.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Just I just saw something about it. It's uh supposed
- 2:47Speaker 2: to be some like type of where it's uh what
- 2:53Speaker 2: is it? It's uh like optimized basically like the screens
- 2:57Speaker 2: are optimized, the sound is optimized, all that type of stuff.
- 3:01Speaker 3: I don't know if we got to hear, but I
- 3:02Speaker 3: will see it that way.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I gotta I gotta check myself because I have
- 3:06Speaker 2: no idea if we got it.
- 3:08Speaker 6: You know, I don't care if it's a VR helmet
- 3:10Speaker 6: that they have to put on my face. Brother, I'll
- 3:12Speaker 6: let them do it. The Russos and Marvel don't miss together.
- 3:15Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Yeah, so what do you think?
- 3:21Speaker 6: I mean?
- 3:23Speaker 3: They cooked? They cooked.
- 3:25Speaker 6: I mean, listen, that's the thing. When the Russo's get it,
- 3:28Speaker 6: they also got. I mean what you got, Captain America two?
- 3:33Speaker 3: You got the end game? And I trust their vision.
- 3:39Speaker 6: And if that was Dune's voice, I wonder whose voice
- 3:43Speaker 6: that was, because if that's Dune's voice, then Rdie J,
- 3:48Speaker 6: you son of a bitch. You are good?
- 3:52Speaker 3: Are good?
- 3:53Speaker 6: Brother?
- 3:54Speaker 3: You know what you're doing because him at all do it?
- 3:59Speaker 6: Mm hmmm, that's not just Tony Stark with a mask on,
- 4:02Speaker 6: you know what I mean that's that's a different character
- 4:05Speaker 6: if he's doing that voice.
- 4:07Speaker 3: And I'm automatically intrigued.
- 4:10Speaker 6: And of course I mean blocking Thor's hammer with just
- 4:12Speaker 6: decide his head didn't even move from the impact.
- 4:16Speaker 3: I mean, hey, bro, we've got one of them ones.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Just the one thing that interests me is like Thorst
- 4:24Speaker 2: saying in the trailer that you know, nothing has ever
- 4:27Speaker 2: stirred him this much, but you've already been, you know,
- 4:30Speaker 2: completely beaten down by Thanos where you were, you know,
- 4:33Speaker 2: more than frightened by him. So how do they establish
- 4:37Speaker 2: Doom being more terrifying than that?
- 4:39Speaker 6: That's what I want to know, man, like my and
- 4:43Speaker 6: then there's some other intrigue too, but like I really
- 4:45Speaker 6: do want to see, like what is the Doom power
- 4:48Speaker 6: level that makes him this like we need to bring
- 4:52Speaker 6: everyone in the multiverse together type of threat because Marvels
- 4:56Speaker 6: built themselves such a big hole to climb out of
- 4:59Speaker 6: with this multiple stuff like every yep, but every movie
- 5:03Speaker 6: is like an existential threat, now you know what I mean?
- 5:05Speaker 6: So like, how is Doom more of an existential threat
- 5:09Speaker 6: than they knows?
- 5:10Speaker 3: Who's threatened half of existence?
- 5:12Speaker 6: Like what gets bigger than that? And I think a
- 5:14Speaker 6: lot of us even kind of would like them to
- 5:17Speaker 6: get back to one single timeline, one set of stakes,
- 5:21Speaker 6: because you can make things so big that it almost
- 5:24Speaker 6: becomes meaningless. Yeah, you know where it's like there's like okay,
- 5:27Speaker 6: well then in another reality, Loki's alive, So why do
- 5:30Speaker 6: I care he died in this? So I do need
- 5:33Speaker 6: to see like how they plan to bring it all
- 5:35Speaker 6: together under Doom.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's site the thing, like we distressed us before,
- 5:40Speaker 2: like this will probably be at some point during either
- 5:43Speaker 2: Doom's there or sek At Wars when they replace you know,
- 5:45Speaker 2: a Black Panther and perhaps some other characters.
- 5:49Speaker 1: And even that, to me, I hope they don't.
- 5:51Speaker 2: You know, it doesn't cheapen it because the fact that
- 5:53Speaker 2: Black Panther is gone and it's sure US is taking
- 5:56Speaker 2: up the mantle means a lot. And so they just
- 5:58Speaker 2: go back to bringing in a new Black Pants like,
- 6:00Speaker 2: oh we got another one. Now, you know, I'm not
- 6:03Speaker 2: mad at it anymore like before, you know, like I
- 6:05Speaker 2: definitely think that, you know, I want Damn Sonindris right,
- 6:09Speaker 2: not dam Yeah, Damn Sondris. I feel like he is
- 6:14Speaker 2: the Black Panther. He's done to be the choice for it,
- 6:16Speaker 2: and I'm not mad at that.
- 6:18Speaker 6: Yeah, all the time has passed too, you know, yeah,
- 6:21Speaker 6: when people was talking about it. For look, I don't want.
- 6:23Speaker 3: To rehash the whole debate. This ain't about that. Please
- 6:26Speaker 3: stay out of the comment shot. This ain't a fight.
- 6:28Speaker 6: I'm just only talking about myself and how I felt
- 6:30Speaker 6: there was a time where people were pushing for it
- 6:32Speaker 6: that felt so soon to me that I wasn't ready.
- 6:35Speaker 6: But they might have been ready. I wasn't. Now all right, man,
- 6:39Speaker 6: Like I get it. Man, the comics gotta go on.
- 6:41Speaker 6: We gotta have a we gotta have it to child.
- 6:43Speaker 3: At some point.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Mm hmm. Yeah, I'm down for it now.
- 6:47Speaker 6: Also, the Russo's would definitely talk to Ryan Coogler like that, Like,
- 6:53Speaker 6: this isn't a like Kevin fighting to Russo's make a
- 6:56Speaker 6: decision Ryan Cooglass to deal with. They would bring him in,
- 6:59Speaker 6: I mean her rumors he might even be in the
- 7:01Speaker 6: cast and the thor I mean a storm. So like
- 7:05Speaker 6: if they're talking to Coogler on that level, like, hey,
- 7:07Speaker 6: we want to do the X Men, but we can't
- 7:09Speaker 6: do the x Men unless you decide whose storm is
- 7:11Speaker 6: gonna being exactly, then I'm trusting the Russo's and Coogler
- 7:17Speaker 6: to do this thing in a way that won't hopefully
- 7:20Speaker 6: piss everybody off.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Now, that also goes to the thing because there's rumors
- 7:26Speaker 2: that we will see Iron Man in.
- 7:27Speaker 1: This as well.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Huh okay, like an alternate universe whatever. Who knows, some
- 7:33Speaker 2: type of Iron Man showing up, you know. So that
- 7:34Speaker 2: way you have Tony versus you know, Tony basically.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Right, huh okay. I'll see what they do with that.
- 7:41Speaker 6: I'm also interested in that name More and his people
- 7:46Speaker 6: versus the Contents because there's a little piece in that
- 7:50Speaker 6: trailer that showed them facing each other, facing off against
- 7:53Speaker 6: each other, not and you know, Doom was heavy in
- 7:56Speaker 6: the comics and starting that battle between the name or
- 8:01Speaker 6: As folk and the Wakandas. And we had, matter of fact,
- 8:05Speaker 6: when we did Black Panther two review when I was
- 8:07Speaker 6: on here, we all were like, hey, man, so, like,
- 8:10Speaker 6: could Doom become involved with some sort of future conflict
- 8:15Speaker 6: between these people, because where that movie ends, it's not
- 8:19Speaker 6: a happy resolution.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what I mean, it's still right there.
- 8:24Speaker 6: They More went back home, like, hey, bro, I got
- 8:26Speaker 6: them right where I want them. Don't even worry about it,
- 8:29Speaker 6: don't even trip. I know they think they beat your
- 8:31Speaker 6: boy up. They did not beat your boy up. And
- 8:34Speaker 6: I'm like, yeah, if done gets involved in that, man,
- 8:37Speaker 6: we could see something even more crucial. So yeah, I man,
- 8:40Speaker 6: they got me. They got me intrigued, man.
- 8:43Speaker 1: And I'm wondering is because we do see, you know,
- 8:46Speaker 1: professors looking out the window at something where we see
- 8:49Speaker 1: the red type skies. And for those who read the comics,
- 8:54Speaker 1: in the Jonathan Hitman Avengers Run, it turns into this
- 8:58Speaker 1: whole thing with incursions where different realities are crashing together,
- 9:02Speaker 1: and that's what leads in the Secret Wars, and that's
- 9:05Speaker 1: what leads to Doom gaining the powers of God basically
- 9:08Speaker 1: like Emperor Doom level power. So we see that here,
- 9:12Speaker 1: So I think that we even Doom.
- 9:15Speaker 2: When he's speaking, he's talking about something coming, So he's
- 9:19Speaker 2: talking about like something that has to be prevented.
- 9:22Speaker 6: One of the things about Doom that's so interesting to
- 9:24Speaker 6: me in the comics is that in his own mind
- 9:27Speaker 6: he fashions himself as a.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Hero and a saving god.
- 9:31Speaker 6: Yes, like he like the reason these people don't matter
- 9:36Speaker 6: to him is not even one of Like I detest
- 9:38Speaker 6: these people. I want to destroy these people. It's like,
- 9:40Speaker 6: why would God talk to an ant? Yes, you know
- 9:43Speaker 6: what I mean, Like, Okay, Red Richards, you don't want
- 9:46Speaker 6: me to destroy your planet, but I got some shit
- 9:48Speaker 6: going on. It's way deeper than one planet. So if
- 9:51Speaker 6: I'm telling you I'm pruning y'all from the timeline, that's
- 9:54Speaker 6: just it is what it is, like who is not
- 9:57Speaker 6: a conference call? And what I liked about the encouraging
- 10:00Speaker 6: storyline in the comics is that it tainted everybody that
- 10:04Speaker 6: wasn't here. Everyone kind of became their own doom. You know.
- 10:09Speaker 6: They was just doing it a reality a multiverse at
- 10:11Speaker 6: a time. But he was like, man, I can just
- 10:13Speaker 6: cut all this off at the knees and y'all just
- 10:16Speaker 6: worship me and I'll take care of it from here.
- 10:18Speaker 6: So if they go somewhere like that with this man,
- 10:21Speaker 6: it would be fascinating. And they have done the groundwork
- 10:24Speaker 6: to have multiverses in this universe, between the multiverse of Madness,
- 10:31Speaker 6: between everything with Loki and King, they've done enough to
- 10:34Speaker 6: be like, it's a lot of stuff out here existing.
- 10:37Speaker 3: And honestly, just like the comic books, it's about.
- 10:40Speaker 6: Time to clean that shit up. You know what I mean,
- 10:43Speaker 6: the great way to prune off some storylines. It didn't
- 10:45Speaker 6: worked out some guys that might have gotten in some
- 10:47Speaker 6: little off the field trouble that we don't need to
- 10:50Speaker 6: have come back. So it's a good way to kind
- 10:53Speaker 6: of like get us all back on one path. And
- 10:55Speaker 6: I hope the Russo's nailed that cause I think one
- 10:58Speaker 6: of the big things people feel.
- 11:00Speaker 3: About the Marvel Universe and the loss.
- 11:02Speaker 6: Of Steaks is is that the weight of so much
- 11:06Speaker 6: at the same time, like the eternals, do it even matter?
- 11:10Speaker 6: Did it even really count at this point? You know
- 11:12Speaker 6: what I mean?
- 11:12Speaker 3: Like stuff like seeing.
- 11:14Speaker 6: Sean She in this it means something to me because
- 11:16Speaker 6: I love that movie and that was a cool character.
- 11:18Speaker 6: But man, we ain't seen this man since Cornas was
- 11:21Speaker 6: raising his kids, you know what I mean, Like, I
- 11:23Speaker 6: need I need this in my life. So I hope
- 11:26Speaker 6: they fix a lot of those uh loose strands.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Yeah, And it's interesting, specially with Sean She because Simul
- 11:35Speaker 2: Luda actor, he was just on threads where talking about
- 11:39Speaker 2: how I just want.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Shane She to be you know, like.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Acknowledge, you know, he's like yoking, you know, And so
- 11:46Speaker 2: that's crazy to me because he said that knowing that
- 11:50Speaker 2: he's in this movie, right, so that means he must
- 11:53Speaker 2: be like, I don't get to do shit and doomsday,
- 11:55Speaker 2: you know, maybe kitch his ass or something.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Right, Am I getting a second movie? Yeah?
- 12:01Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying, Like, because it's one thing
- 12:03Speaker 6: to be in this which is dope, good good, you know,
- 12:06Speaker 6: but everyone in this Yeah, it ain't special unless you
- 12:09Speaker 6: get that Sean she too, you know what I mean.
- 12:11Speaker 2: And it's interesting because this is a whole other topic,
- 12:14Speaker 2: but it's been coming up a lot recently how racism
- 12:18Speaker 2: is so wild that racism will overpower capitalism, like people
- 12:22Speaker 2: will ignore the money in order to keep racism going,
- 12:26Speaker 2: and so you can't have Like someone asked, what's the
- 12:29Speaker 2: number that Children of Blood and Bone needs to make
- 12:32Speaker 2: where they make more black fantasy epics, and I was saying,
- 12:36Speaker 2: there is no number, because I was in Hollywood. The
- 12:39Speaker 2: limit does not exist. Like I was in Hollywood when
- 12:42Speaker 2: Black Panther dropped, and I thought it would be a
- 12:44Speaker 2: revolution where we can see ten Black Panther movies and
- 12:47Speaker 2: that was not the case. And the reality is because
- 12:49Speaker 2: if they gave you ten Black Panther movies, you'll look
- 12:52Speaker 2: at yourselves differently, Like they gave us one Black Panther movie,
- 12:55Speaker 2: and black people are walking around with their heads up high,
- 12:57Speaker 2: dressing affly, you know, feeling just great about themselves. Search
- 13:00Speaker 2: and Africa, et cetera. They give you ten of those,
- 13:03Speaker 2: they give you.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Ten Shane Cheese.
- 13:05Speaker 2: All the Asian people start feeling great about themselves, you know, everybody.
- 13:09Speaker 6: And right because they don't they look at our successes
- 13:14Speaker 6: as a one off, yes, and don't it takes so
- 13:17Speaker 6: long for the machine that gets started.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Like us at home with me and Ben.
- 13:22Speaker 6: We know, like when you're writing something that for from
- 13:27Speaker 6: writing concept to movie could be sometimes a decade, yes,
- 13:33Speaker 6: hopefully not, but sometimes it can really be that long.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Y'all these Avatar movies that Jim Cameron did, he was
- 13:41Speaker 6: writing the fucking the stuff for that in like the
- 13:44Speaker 6: seventies or something like.
- 13:45Speaker 3: It's crazy when you.
- 13:46Speaker 6: See think about how long and that made all the
- 13:49Speaker 6: money more money than God, But think about how long?
- 13:51Speaker 6: And here a white man, think about how long he
- 13:53Speaker 6: had this idea and when people was like, I don't know.
- 13:56Speaker 3: So what I'm saying is Black Panther makes a billion.
- 14:00Speaker 6: Yes, Children of Blood and Bone probably gets the first like, hey,
- 14:04Speaker 6: let's have a meeting with the author and see if
- 14:07Speaker 6: maybe we can option something. So we won't see that
- 14:10Speaker 6: movie till twenty twenty seven, twenty twenty eight. You won't
- 14:15Speaker 6: be able to capitalize off of it by the time
- 14:17Speaker 6: it's successful. If it is, it'll be a one off.
- 14:20Speaker 6: It'll be like yep, man, they did it. We should
- 14:22Speaker 6: do more black movies. Okay, go find the next one
- 14:24Speaker 6: black movie and we'll see you in twenty thirty six.
- 14:27Speaker 3: So yeah, we not on that. We not on that
- 14:29Speaker 3: conveyor belt like that.
- 14:31Speaker 6: But shout out to the Russos because I think it's
- 14:33Speaker 6: very important that they include these characters. Yeah, because they
- 14:36Speaker 6: are getting to a tapestry where they can cherry pick
- 14:39Speaker 6: from everybody. And while I don't mind them bringing the
- 14:43Speaker 6: old people back, I love those. I mean, let's be honest, guys.
- 14:46Speaker 6: Chris Evans, he mostly only hits his captain America. Now
- 14:49Speaker 6: he's not a bad guy or whatever, but just come on, man,
- 14:52Speaker 6: put that.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I gotta say, he looked like a nick right in
- 14:54Speaker 1: the trailer though.
- 14:56Speaker 6: He did you need a bucket half with a losing
- 15:00Speaker 6: FIFA team on it or losing World Cup team on it.
- 15:03Speaker 3: That's all they miss it.
- 15:06Speaker 6: But yeah, broh, he needed to get the tights back
- 15:11Speaker 6: on or whatever.
- 15:11Speaker 5: Man.
- 15:12Speaker 6: And it's fine as that they to draw you in,
- 15:14Speaker 6: but I really want to see what they do with
- 15:16Speaker 6: these other characters because I think Marvel has a responsibility
- 15:20Speaker 6: and also just a profit motive to put some life
- 15:23Speaker 6: into these other tributaries. Because you're spending the money either way.
- 15:28Speaker 6: So it's not like willaf DeShawn she movie. If he's
- 15:33Speaker 6: not good in this movie, we just want No, You'll
- 15:35Speaker 6: find something else to put the money in to be
- 15:37Speaker 6: So like you should be trying to get Florence Pugh
- 15:41Speaker 6: on that stage. You should be trying to get Anthony
- 15:44Speaker 6: Mackie on that stage, you know, regardless how you feel
- 15:46Speaker 6: about those Mackie movies, seeing them in this trailer man. Okay,
- 15:50Speaker 6: So y'all do know it's important to have them cooking
- 15:53Speaker 6: in here and not just though that didn't happen.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Yeah no. And it's also.
- 15:59Speaker 2: It's like you said, the conveyor belt takes a while,
- 16:01Speaker 2: but they could have had more things on the conveyor belt.
- 16:04Speaker 2: That's my problem. Especially they should have had a spin
- 16:07Speaker 2: off about his sister ready to go because the film
- 16:12Speaker 2: like a mini series. Just give me six episodes about
- 16:15Speaker 2: that real quick.
- 16:16Speaker 3: That's the racism you're talking about.
- 16:17Speaker 6: Even when they had it. Remember after Black Panther two
- 16:22Speaker 6: came out, they had Isawa Conda ready to go to
- 16:25Speaker 6: Disney streaming, and they didn't.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Put that out for like several years afterwards.
- 16:28Speaker 6: So they had Rere and Ironheart ready to go, and
- 16:32Speaker 6: they didn't put that out till like two or three
- 16:33Speaker 6: years afterwards. It's like, that is the racism trumping capitalism
- 16:40Speaker 6: of it all is like the because then later you
- 16:43Speaker 6: go with those series weren't that successful. We didn't get
- 16:45Speaker 6: they were. They had good reviews, but they didn't get
- 16:48Speaker 6: that much of a viewership or they had mixed reviews. Okay,
- 16:51Speaker 6: so let's say you put it out right after Black
- 16:54Speaker 6: Panther two, though the reception is different, the ratings are different,
- 17:00Speaker 6: and you're probably on re reseason three, Yes, ours of
- 17:03Speaker 6: What Conda season three by now, and now we're even
- 17:06Speaker 6: if you say, like the Russo's or whoever's Kevin fighting,
- 17:10Speaker 6: even if right now they went, you know what os
- 17:13Speaker 6: of what Conda was actually good, Let's.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Go ahead and get that.
- 17:15Speaker 6: Get another one, brother, when we gonna get it twenty
- 17:17Speaker 6: twenty nine.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a problem.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know they crank out three seasons what if?
- 17:23Speaker 1: No problem?
- 17:23Speaker 3: Like, no problem, no problem.
- 17:26Speaker 6: Meanwhile, they got all the black and brown people and
- 17:27Speaker 6: what if all over the place. By the way, they
- 17:30Speaker 6: all over that joint, boy sewn. She got twelve episodes
- 17:33Speaker 6: over there just doing.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Westerns because it shows that people want to see these characters.
- 17:38Speaker 3: But and they're cool.
- 17:39Speaker 6: New characters, man, Like I love those old characters. Don't
- 17:43Speaker 6: get me wrong, bro, but we've seen Tony has had
- 17:46Speaker 6: a kid, you know what I'm saying, Like, we've seen
- 17:49Speaker 6: they life arc We talked like Captain America retired my man.
- 17:53Speaker 1: We the perfect ending for him to me, Yes, at.
- 17:57Speaker 6: Least in comics, Like I do understand why you want
- 18:01Speaker 6: to recycle and bring things back because you don't ever
- 18:03Speaker 6: like you're never gonna see a true the end of Batman. Yeah, now,
- 18:07Speaker 6: nobody wants to stop printing money. Like you know what
- 18:10Speaker 6: I'm saying, They gonna come up with a way to
- 18:12Speaker 6: make him fresh. He on steroids, Now, okay, cool, But
- 18:18Speaker 6: that's what I've be saying. I'm not gonna get excited
- 18:21Speaker 6: about Absolute Universe until they do the peed testing, okay,
- 18:25Speaker 6: because we're gonna get.
- 18:26Speaker 1: The fire goddamn.
- 18:29Speaker 6: Oh they the comics are fired, but we are going
- 18:32Speaker 6: to one hundred percent. It's gonna be like the baseball
- 18:35Speaker 6: home run Race. Well, when you start putting people in
- 18:38Speaker 6: the Hall of Fame, like not so fast, I don't.
- 18:42Speaker 1: I think absolute.
- 18:42Speaker 6: Martian mind Hunter was on them on the clean cream
- 18:45Speaker 6: and the clear you know what I'm saying.
- 18:50Speaker 3: The Bucks is good.
- 18:51Speaker 6: But but my point is like, yeah they would. I
- 18:53Speaker 6: get why. In the comic book Universe it's evergreen, but
- 18:57Speaker 6: in the movie Universe, people off make since people dying
- 19:01Speaker 6: in real life and these niggas are getting old.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Yeah, so and just does not need to be James
- 19:07Speaker 2: Bond where you recash Captain America and just like xactly,
- 19:10Speaker 2: people's hype that they're going to reboot the universe at
- 19:13Speaker 2: the Super Wars is so weird to me.
- 19:16Speaker 1: You don't want that.
- 19:18Speaker 3: They don't need to reboot it.
- 19:20Speaker 6: I just put some effort into pushing these other people.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Y'all should have been did this, Yeah, you.
- 19:26Speaker 6: Know what I mean.
- 19:27Speaker 3: So it's I think.
- 19:29Speaker 6: And then the other thing too, is like the Russos
- 19:31Speaker 6: haven't missed yet, so they probably get a little more
- 19:34Speaker 6: pull at Marvel than some of the other directors, which
- 19:37Speaker 6: you know, that's just life.
- 19:38Speaker 3: I mean, it's unfortunate, but that's life. I'm sure. Uh,
- 19:42Speaker 3: I mean shit.
- 19:43Speaker 6: Them actually know them and Ryan cooler now I think
- 19:45Speaker 6: I know he get to do what he wanted to
- 19:47Speaker 6: do too.
- 19:49Speaker 1: He better.
- 19:50Speaker 6: Yeah, I know he get to do and he I
- 19:52Speaker 6: know they be I mean, you know, he get to
- 19:54Speaker 6: do what he want to do.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Because he was like, we're not recasting to Charlie and
- 19:56Speaker 3: they was like, okay.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Yes, sir, yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 20:01Speaker 6: It's like, yeah, okay, that makes sense, Like, well, what
- 20:03Speaker 6: are you gonna do that the man made.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Sinners and yeah, that's see, that's the thing.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Now. Now it was like, bruh, you know, you can't
- 20:09Speaker 2: tell me nothing dark. I know, I got a contract here,
- 20:12Speaker 2: but you know, I'm good.
- 20:13Speaker 6: They be looking at the next James Gun walking out
- 20:16Speaker 6: the door. You know what I'm saying, Like, damn, we
- 20:18Speaker 6: had him, you know what I mean.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Honestly, no offense to games Gun.
- 20:21Speaker 6: This shit like having Christopher Nolan making a fucking comic
- 20:24Speaker 6: book movie for Marvel, So I know he probably gets
- 20:27Speaker 6: to do what he wants to do, and the Russos
- 20:30Speaker 6: get to do what they want to do.
- 20:31Speaker 3: But other than that, I like, everybody is in the program.
- 20:35Speaker 6: Yeah, and so if you're in the program, y'all gotta
- 20:38Speaker 6: start promoting some of these people. That's not just the
- 20:41Speaker 6: old people that's tired that we're tired of. So this
- 20:44Speaker 6: is a great opportunity to give us. Oh, the X
- 20:47Speaker 6: Men haven't even casted all them, Like give us that that.
- 20:52Speaker 6: Like this the new shit, y'all like, make us want
- 20:55Speaker 6: to go see it. The X Men is a huge property,
- 20:57Speaker 6: don't you know what I'm saying.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Don't drop that ball.
- 20:59Speaker 2: And man, we've been you know, we were talking about
- 21:02Speaker 2: this so much as it's like and the problem is
- 21:04Speaker 2: ninety seven is just setting the bar so high right
- 21:07Speaker 2: now that.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I don't see it.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Honestly, I just don't see any X Men movie because
- 21:13Speaker 2: X Men and Me works better as a series, Just
- 21:16Speaker 2: like with the Double Book. It's just too big a
- 21:18Speaker 2: property and it's too big a soap opera with too
- 21:21Speaker 2: many characters, so you need time, and.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I don't think a movie will ever give you that.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Like I.
- 21:28Speaker 6: Will say this though, because I've enjoyed some X Men movies, yeah,
- 21:32Speaker 6: middle like different. I do wonder if the Russels can
- 21:36Speaker 6: do their patented introduce you in this movie, give you your
- 21:40Speaker 6: own movie somewhere else, and like that way we come
- 21:44Speaker 6: into the movie already knowing our characters. Because I think
- 21:49Speaker 6: when I think of like the X Men movies that
- 21:52Speaker 6: I didn't enjoy, they were all just like, here's the
- 21:54Speaker 6: X Men universe. Yes, And I think if you can
- 21:57Speaker 6: kind of be like, here's why they matter, low key,
- 22:01Speaker 6: I think that they really need to do this with
- 22:02Speaker 6: Fantastic Four too.
- 22:03Speaker 3: Like Fantastic Four.
- 22:04Speaker 6: Was a it was an enjoyable movie to me, you know,
- 22:06Speaker 6: I was, but like it was so separate from everything.
- 22:11Speaker 6: I almost wish they had been in something like this.
- 22:13Speaker 6: First Well, I got curious and was like, what is
- 22:16Speaker 6: the dynamics of that family? Now give them their own movie.
- 22:19Speaker 6: That's really what worked for Black Panther. You know, they
- 22:22Speaker 6: introduced Black Panther in Civil War and it was so fire,
- 22:25Speaker 6: so fire, And when we got the movie, they didn't
- 22:28Speaker 6: need to do no origin shit.
- 22:29Speaker 3: They were just like, y'all remember yll yep that you know.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I mean, he has this big emotional moment in Civil War,
- 22:35Speaker 2: like his father was killed like, you know, it's huge
- 22:38Speaker 2: for him in that movie.
- 22:39Speaker 1: And then it's you know, I.
- 22:41Speaker 6: Mean honestly, like, I can't This is why the Russo's
- 22:44Speaker 6: are so good, Like they get to paint with all
- 22:46Speaker 6: the crams in the box of paint in the box.
- 22:48Speaker 6: But bro, like I can't separate how good Civil War
- 22:53Speaker 6: is from how good the Black Panther part of Civil
- 22:55Speaker 6: War is. You know what I'm saying, Like, did I
- 22:57Speaker 6: just like, I like, if they took that out, do
- 23:00Speaker 6: I move the movie down to like, oh, it's like
- 23:02Speaker 6: a B plus Silicie, you know, but you put the
- 23:05Speaker 6: black Panther and I'm like, this shit is cooking.
- 23:08Speaker 1: All grease, all grease.
- 23:10Speaker 4: No.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Civil War is incredible. I have high hopes for this.
- 23:13Speaker 2: And like you said, you know, the big rumor is
- 23:16Speaker 2: that Sadie Sink is playing Jean Gray.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's true.
- 23:20Speaker 2: You know, then that means we'll get to see Jean
- 23:22Speaker 2: Gray introduced before and Spider Man. I have bid faith
- 23:26Speaker 2: in this Spider Man movie because Dustin, the director is
- 23:30Speaker 2: the same dude who is the executive producer wonder Man,
- 23:33Speaker 2: and he says this Spider Man is Peter's wonder Man.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Tom Holland was super excited about the script from years ago.
- 23:41Speaker 2: He said, this shit is really crazy and they're doing
- 23:43Speaker 2: something different, So I'm super excited about that. So I
- 23:47Speaker 2: think they're back, you know, getting back on the right
- 23:49Speaker 2: track of cleaning this up. Who they cast as the
- 23:52Speaker 2: X Man is going to be big. But I do
- 23:55Speaker 2: think Sadie is a great one. I'm not for this
- 23:58Speaker 2: Adam Driver rumor. I keep hearing keep saying that too.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I'm not for it.
- 24:03Speaker 3: I'm with it if.
- 24:04Speaker 6: That, if it's sinister, because they were saying sinister first.
- 24:08Speaker 6: The first one I saw was sinister and.
- 24:11Speaker 3: You could do it.
- 24:12Speaker 6: He ain't, said Magneto.
- 24:13Speaker 1: I was like, no, why would you.
- 24:15Speaker 3: No offense to add on Driver?
- 24:17Speaker 6: But he's played so many Jewish people that and he
- 24:20Speaker 6: not Jewish. How do you keep getting away with this?
- 24:22Speaker 1: I wasn't sure he was damn Yeah.
- 24:26Speaker 6: Like I saw that as one of the main complaints.
- 24:27Speaker 6: I was like, you know what, it's not my business,
- 24:30Speaker 6: but but it's valid.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Yeah, because I don't even think Magno needs to be Jewish.
- 24:35Speaker 2: I think it should be something, you know, homegrown to America.
- 24:39Speaker 6: If he was black or indigenous like that would put
- 24:42Speaker 6: it at a whole other level. I'd love to see
- 24:45Speaker 6: somebody take a crack at that storyline too.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:48Speaker 6: But and then the other thing too, when Professor X
- 24:51Speaker 6: is looking out the window and that big bright light
- 24:54Speaker 6: could also be the Phoenix, like that that color scheme
- 24:58Speaker 6: and that like that power type of thing. So if
- 25:02Speaker 6: Jean Gray's in it, you know, I lean towards encourgains
- 25:06Speaker 6: because that's what the storyline was doing. Only is but hey, man,
- 25:10Speaker 6: like that could also she could be in there going
- 25:11Speaker 6: fucking Phoenix already. And uh, I love the Dark Phoenix saga. Man,
- 25:15Speaker 6: that was one of that was one of the ones
- 25:17Speaker 6: for me.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Man, Man, it's one of my Phoenix and Jean Grade
- 25:20Speaker 2: It's is one of my favorite characters. Like she that
- 25:22Speaker 2: was like my first Jeep crush even before Storm, you know,
- 25:25Speaker 2: it was her and Storm and then the Mohawk Storm.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Those were you know, those were.
- 25:29Speaker 6: My oh my god, bro when she showed up with
- 25:31Speaker 6: the Dark Phoenix costume and was out there reading everybody
- 25:35Speaker 6: for filth because she she she was over it.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I love it, I love it.
- 25:40Speaker 2: But I felt that that was like my first introduction
- 25:43Speaker 2: to Jean Gray was reading those issues, and I was like,
- 25:44Speaker 2: I loved this.
- 25:46Speaker 6: You no, not, I think about it. That was a
- 25:48Speaker 6: very kinky time for X Men. I'll forget who was
- 25:50Speaker 6: writing X Man, but we got like that hell Fire Club.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Remember, I know, bro, I tell people all the time, like,
- 25:57Speaker 2: in fact, I just made a video on this is
- 25:58Speaker 2: about to go up on the channel. We were talking
- 26:00Speaker 2: about how Morph and Wolverine's relationship and people were like,
- 26:04Speaker 2: oh my god, what is this And I'm like, niggay,
- 26:06Speaker 2: you ain't never read Men because I grew up on
- 26:09Speaker 2: it and it developed my sexuality and ways that I
- 26:12Speaker 2: you know, I'm still horny.
- 26:14Speaker 6: Those horny ass Compsation used to have like an issue
- 26:18Speaker 6: every year that was just them in swimsuits.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Yes, but even before that, like you said, hell Fire Club,
- 26:25Speaker 2: I tell this. I've told this one recently because people
- 26:27Speaker 2: don't remember this, like because people were talking about how
- 26:29Speaker 2: Sidelocking her and her whole change from a you know,
- 26:32Speaker 2: British woman too this Japanese sex spot. But Chris lamar
- 26:35Speaker 2: Once took these two other characters who were white. One
- 26:37Speaker 2: was a cop, one was a nurse. They were both
- 26:40Speaker 2: involved with the ed Men kind of and they get
- 26:42Speaker 2: attacked by the demon Bear in New Muman's.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Right, as is the.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Necessary.
- 26:50Speaker 2: That's that's the nurse, that's the black nurse. So this
- 26:52Speaker 2: is a freeland or something is there. Last, but they
- 26:55Speaker 2: get turned into Native Americans. First of all, they were
- 26:58Speaker 2: white people. Yes, they get turning in the Americans. All right,
- 27:02Speaker 2: I'm not to do a video on the people to
- 27:03Speaker 2: not understand how it gets even better. After they get
- 27:07Speaker 2: turned into Native Americans, they go on they're still part
- 27:09Speaker 2: of you know, hanging around that sh men's Native Americans.
- 27:11Speaker 2: They get attacked by this character Impact, who's one of
- 27:15Speaker 2: the Hellians, who's junior member of the hell Fire Club.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Impass has the power to control e motions. He's like,
- 27:21Speaker 2: I want you all to fall soul basically turns them
- 27:25Speaker 2: into obsession where they both are possessing over each other
- 27:28Speaker 2: and they immediately start making out, going at.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Each other, and then he just leaves them. We don't
- 27:33Speaker 1: see them for months.
- 27:34Speaker 2: The next time they show up, they are all dressed
- 27:37Speaker 2: in pure leather, basically in gimp outfits without the mask
- 27:41Speaker 2: tag it up, you know, all kind of piercings everything,
- 27:44Speaker 2: and they're like, yo.
- 27:45Speaker 1: We've been fucking for months. Oh my god, we can't
- 27:48Speaker 1: control ourselves. You know, like all we've been able to
- 27:50Speaker 1: do is just suck for the last few months.
- 27:53Speaker 6: So like Loki, that's why X Men in ninety seven
- 27:56Speaker 6: hit so hard for people, because they hit it all
- 27:59Speaker 6: the little freak trop comics and it's titillating, you know.
- 28:03Speaker 3: And it's not in a way that is like it's
- 28:07Speaker 3: not even like.
- 28:08Speaker 6: Overt you know what I mean.
- 28:09Speaker 3: But it's like, why is Magneto tied up with his
- 28:12Speaker 3: draws on no shirt?
- 28:15Speaker 6: This is always always Why isno even ripped?
- 28:21Speaker 3: You know what I mean? Like his powers is just
- 28:23Speaker 3: magnetism when he.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Don't need to do the gym thiss like eighty Dog, He's.
- 28:27Speaker 6: He just got eight tec abs for no reason, dude.
- 28:31Speaker 6: Even the hellvets and costumes. Like like I said, when
- 28:33Speaker 6: I got introduced to the hell Fire Club, I was like, oh,
- 28:36Speaker 6: what what are these feelings I'm having?
- 28:37Speaker 3: As any young man.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Man, listen, I knew what it was. When Jeans showed
- 28:41Speaker 2: up in that black queen outfit, that was life for me.
- 28:44Speaker 6: The white queen showed up in the hell Fire Club,
- 28:47Speaker 6: I said they had a Galla two.
- 28:49Speaker 3: And everybody was freaked off. Yes, I'm like, women's.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Whom were women who with whips that okay, yeah.
- 29:00Speaker 6: That was that was some ship though, man, man, don't
- 29:03Speaker 6: you're right though they probably can't duplicate those elements.
- 29:07Speaker 1: In the movie. Yeah you got blah blah blah.
- 29:11Speaker 6: Yeah right, they got a uphill battle to climb, man.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Yeah, because ninety seven is killing it too much.
- 29:17Speaker 6: But yeah, they even said one of the things like
- 29:20Speaker 6: Kevin fight and them want to get the same, like, uh,
- 29:24Speaker 6: it was something like colorful vibes of the X Men
- 29:28Speaker 6: ninety seven. I was like, does no one know X
- 29:30Speaker 6: Men ninety seven is telling the darkest stories in the.
- 29:35Speaker 3: I don't know, maybe y'all just.
- 29:37Speaker 6: Looking at it on mute. But I saw Cable kill
- 29:40Speaker 6: a man in cold blood that was already lead.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Out, shot my man in the back, like you know nothing.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Like what you think this is player, I'm a soldier, okay.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Like I've seen Manito talk about a boy get evaporated
- 29:56Speaker 2: in front of him.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Man, they don't even.
- 30:03Speaker 6: Don't lie to me and talk about this is gonna
- 30:05Speaker 6: be no right colorful movie. Y'all not tricking me, man,
- 30:07Speaker 6: that's not the same X Men.
- 30:09Speaker 1: No.
- 30:10Speaker 2: All right, well, doomsday in theaters this uh Christmas? Right,
- 30:16Speaker 2: Doomsday before Christmas.
- 30:18Speaker 3: Yeah, as soon as we log off, brother, it's the.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Same day still as Doom as Doom three.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Really yeah, that's why they that's why they made that
- 30:27Speaker 2: point it's Doomsday and not Dunsday because.
- 30:33Speaker 6: They get an Oppenheimer type situation where people try to
- 30:36Speaker 6: see like Dune and Doomsday and do.
- 30:39Speaker 2: The shirts always in theater like you know, yeah, I
- 30:43Speaker 2: mean they did it with Barbie and Oppenheimer some long
- 30:45Speaker 2: movies too.
- 30:47Speaker 1: This is righte true.
- 30:48Speaker 3: I won't lie.
- 30:49Speaker 6: I won't be seeing both the same day, no, but
- 30:53Speaker 6: but I respect that they they both are like we
- 30:56Speaker 6: think y'all can see both these movies, like shout out
- 30:59Speaker 6: because barbiean oppen Haimer, we're right, and people did go
- 31:02Speaker 6: see both the movies and these will probably both be successful.
- 31:05Speaker 3: But oh yeah, yeah man that.
- 31:09Speaker 2: I feel like Doom the Day is gonna blink because
- 31:12Speaker 2: they did that last time. I remember Infinity War and
- 31:15Speaker 2: then Tony Stark came on as like oh we're moving
- 31:17Speaker 2: this up, and they moved it up like two days
- 31:19Speaker 2: or something.
- 31:19Speaker 6: So hey, listen, if they moved the only thing is
- 31:23Speaker 6: if they selling tickets.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I seen they already sell they.
- 31:26Speaker 6: Selling tickets because I'm not gonna lie. I'll be pissed
- 31:28Speaker 6: if I buy some and then they be like, actually
- 31:31Speaker 6: it's coming out to fourteenth, Like nah, dude, run me
- 31:34Speaker 6: my money back.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Yeah, fact, stop playing.
- 31:39Speaker 6: But nah, I'm not even gonna front. I know everybody's
- 31:42Speaker 6: like cynecal. We've seen it. I mean, the MCU's been
- 31:44Speaker 6: around over a decade or whatever now, and I get
- 31:47Speaker 6: why people are tired of it.
- 31:48Speaker 3: Blah blah blah.
- 31:49Speaker 6: I'm not to be honest, and I'm very excited for this,
- 31:53Speaker 6: and uh, I'm just built different, man. Like, right when
- 31:57Speaker 6: everybody taps out is when I tap it harder, because
- 32:00Speaker 6: this is literally when they start getting to the stories
- 32:02Speaker 6: that I care about. You know, I don't think we
- 32:04Speaker 6: get Reevey Williams in year one.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Year eight.
- 32:10Speaker 6: I'm still there, you know what I'm saying. I don't
- 32:12Speaker 6: need it to be the white people to make me
- 32:13Speaker 6: watch the shit.
- 32:14Speaker 3: So I'll be there.
- 32:16Speaker 6: And I hope the Russo's do a good job reinvigorating everything,
- 32:19Speaker 6: because I need, like I said, this can be good.
- 32:23Speaker 6: I hope it's good. But more importantly, I need this
- 32:26Speaker 6: to be the juice to get us back to that
- 32:29Speaker 6: track where Sean she is getting a sequel, Black Panthers
- 32:32Speaker 6: coming out, and we're excited again. I need that shit back.
- 32:35Speaker 6: I don't really like these main movies. Always everyone goes
- 32:38Speaker 6: to see the main movies. Give me, give me that
- 32:41Speaker 6: feeling back, because I feel like that's missing right now.
- 32:45Speaker 6: And hopefully even Spider Man can kind of reinvigorate it too,
- 32:48Speaker 6: because that seems like a huge project with a lot
- 32:50Speaker 6: of people in it.
- 32:50Speaker 2: I think Spider Man is going to be the one
- 32:52Speaker 2: that really gets it back on track because I feel like,
- 32:54Speaker 2: I say, wonder Man did so much for me where
- 32:56Speaker 2: I was like, oh shit, this is so different and
- 32:59Speaker 2: so great. I've been and running to the hills to
- 33:01Speaker 2: the rooftops telling everybody like, I don't care if you've
- 33:04Speaker 2: never watched MC gotta watch one.
- 33:06Speaker 6: To me, Yeah, that one felt like Wanda Vision almost,
- 33:09Speaker 6: like how like deconstructing the universe for the nerves that's
- 33:14Speaker 6: ended the meta of it.
- 33:16Speaker 3: It was like something for us, you know.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:18Speaker 2: And then also that's why I thought it was so great,
- 33:20Speaker 2: because it was like for people who never watched or
- 33:22Speaker 2: never read a Comma book, it's still just a great
- 33:24Speaker 2: series that you can just watch.
- 33:26Speaker 1: It's this beautiful story, and I just thought that was
- 33:28Speaker 1: so dope.
- 33:28Speaker 6: And it's the freedom that these writers and directors get
- 33:32Speaker 6: that a lot of people said you would never see
- 33:35Speaker 6: in the MT it's just on the track.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Episode seven, Big Fight, Episode eight, Like.
- 33:41Speaker 6: Nah, that shit was completely different than anything we thought
- 33:44Speaker 6: coming in, and they nailed it with the performances. And
- 33:48Speaker 6: I hope we get that kind of freedom. I like
- 33:51Speaker 6: the idea of other people taking these ips and like
- 33:55Speaker 6: fashioning them to their.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Their style, as.
- 33:59Speaker 6: Opposed to just like copy and paste from all the
- 34:02Speaker 6: other movies. Uh, no offense to James Gun, but that's
- 34:05Speaker 6: how Supergirl felt to me, was like a copy and
- 34:08Speaker 6: paste rather than a like, true, this is a story
- 34:11Speaker 6: Jermaine only to this character that only is directed to tell.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Yeah, true indeed. And I think we'll probably see that
- 34:18Speaker 2: with play Face going into.
- 34:19Speaker 1: The d c U. But you're I think, so we
- 34:22Speaker 1: really should have seen that with Supergirl.
- 34:23Speaker 3: So yeah, well, like James you know, no friends.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Even like super Girl.
- 34:31Speaker 6: Yeah exactly, yeah, yeah, Like three needle drops in, I
- 34:36Speaker 6: was like, did James Gun directed? I had to go
- 34:38Speaker 6: a little irm D.
- 34:40Speaker 3: I had to go ir DV BRO. I was like,
- 34:41Speaker 3: did James directed?
- 34:44Speaker 2: I was like damn it fail. No, this woman wouldn't
- 34:48Speaker 2: even listening to this ship.
- 34:51Speaker 6: She's not old enough to remember what fucking three blind
- 34:55Speaker 6: violands or.
- 34:58Speaker 3: The third eye blonde.
- 34:59Speaker 6: She don't know that, James, So you direct to direct man,
- 35:03Speaker 6: just as you know that shit.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Don't mean everybody like that.
- 35:07Speaker 6: You know, like people come in Kevin fight you, but
- 35:09Speaker 6: Kevin Fikey will let you cook.
- 35:11Speaker 3: That's one thing he will do.
- 35:13Speaker 6: Yeah, James, back off the back off the edit table a.
