- 0:01Speaker 1: All start to Yota presents Off the Bench with Jacob
- 0:04Speaker 1: Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Plays get broken down. Then science gets denied to.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Come off the bench.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Our two of Off the Bench Live from the Mercedes
- 0:14Speaker 1: Benz Baton Rouge Studio starts now.
- 0:26Speaker 4: Oh TV one of four five ESPN Baton Rouge Jordan,
- 0:30Speaker 4: what do you mean science getting denied is crazier?
- 0:33Speaker 5: You a sheep? Well, I'm not gonna say I'm a sheep,
- 0:35Speaker 5: but you know, science, science does come and clutch every
- 0:37Speaker 5: night and day.
- 0:38Speaker 6: There's a there's a lot of different opinions on science
- 0:41Speaker 6: on the show.
- 0:41Speaker 5: You'll see. I mean in the interest science gets denied here,
- 0:45Speaker 5: you know, we have our own thought process.
- 0:47Speaker 7: Science does not yet denied. Science gets questioned and that
- 0:51Speaker 7: is the point of science.
- 0:53Speaker 5: Oh you know question, Yeah, I can. I can agree
- 0:55Speaker 5: with that for sure. Question yes, So don't be a
- 0:57Speaker 5: ship denied. I can't deny sometimes some questions.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Everything got a question everything?
- 1:04Speaker 5: Oh you got to man, Look when they give us
- 1:05Speaker 5: technology like this, like I hate when people like you
- 1:09Speaker 5: know ask a question like bro, you know we have
- 1:10Speaker 5: AI and Google now like that can give you that
- 1:13Speaker 5: snap of a finger. You don't have to sit there
- 1:15Speaker 5: and ask stupid questions.
- 1:16Speaker 6: We have Who's who's Who's behind that?
- 1:20Speaker 2: Who's behind that? The puppet master?
- 1:23Speaker 5: The man? Who's that? That's the that's the million dollar question.
- 1:27Speaker 5: Who is the man?
- 1:29Speaker 2: A lot of people don't to be careful.
- 1:31Speaker 4: A lot of people use in AI is certainly a
- 1:34Speaker 4: great tool and a resource.
- 1:36Speaker 5: You gotta be careful. Oh yeah, it's always right.
- 1:38Speaker 7: I would say, if you destroy it and if you
- 1:40Speaker 7: use the ground up, you should check your work.
- 1:43Speaker 5: I think yeah, should you? I think you should. It's
- 1:47Speaker 5: advanced so much though, like my last like two years
- 1:50Speaker 5: of college, we just got don't let yeah, like it's
- 1:54Speaker 5: it's so much, it's it's ridiculous. How how for I said,
- 1:58Speaker 5: for how far it's gone? And this, like I said,
- 2:01Speaker 5: a short amount of time?
- 2:02Speaker 6: You got the uh, well they got the one now
- 2:04Speaker 6: where it's like an essay writer for you. You can
- 2:07Speaker 6: put in specific things and be like make sure this
- 2:09Speaker 6: is not plagiarized. Then it'll cite all the work and everything.
- 2:12Speaker 6: It spits it out like ten minutes.
- 2:13Speaker 7: It's Uh, you're right, Jordan's it's comes so far that
- 2:16Speaker 7: it's absolutely horrifying.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Oh, without a doubt. Have you been seeing those new
- 2:20Speaker 5: like AI videos where there's like a human person vlogging.
- 2:25Speaker 5: They're vlogging and it looks like some a real person doing.
- 2:27Speaker 7: They have like the videos now that I've seen the
- 2:29Speaker 7: last couple of weeks that you cannot.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Tell I don't do anything.
- 2:33Speaker 7: You would have to like use another AI source to
- 2:36Speaker 7: tell me if this video is AI or not.
- 2:38Speaker 5: And that's the problem because at first it was more like, oh, yeah,
- 2:40Speaker 5: it's gonna be getting my parents like, oh man, my
- 2:43Speaker 5: grandma gonna see something. Is believe it, And I'm like, damn,
- 2:45Speaker 5: I kind of believe it. I don't know what I
- 2:47Speaker 5: know right, it's it's bad man.
- 2:49Speaker 7: It's say, let's plast some walls to destroy it. The
- 2:54Speaker 7: chat GBD ain't worth it people.
- 2:56Speaker 5: I think we're too far. I think AI is gonna
- 2:58Speaker 5: start like, you know, going against us, going against the Green.
- 3:02Speaker 5: I'm not going nowhere.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Not this last one, but the one before the mission
- 3:07Speaker 4: Impossible was about, wasn't it AIS protocol?
- 3:12Speaker 8: Or was that two?
- 3:13Speaker 5: It was reckoning?
- 3:15Speaker 8: Oh, final, reckoning?
- 3:16Speaker 5: This is final?
- 3:17Speaker 6: That one that was just recording. Yeah, the bad guy
- 3:20Speaker 6: was AI or something like that. Yeah, spoiler if you
- 3:23Speaker 6: haven't seen that one.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Guys, Like in the first thirty seconds in the movie,
- 3:27Speaker 4: I'm reading a book right now.
- 3:28Speaker 7: It's the latest in the series of the Terminal List series.
- 3:32Speaker 7: Oh yeah, great book, good year, I say reading listening
- 3:34Speaker 7: to him obviously, Okay, it's about the AI and got
- 3:40Speaker 7: some like about AI and yeah, I'm not going to
- 3:43Speaker 7: get into it, but.
- 3:43Speaker 4: It's you did great there. I don't know what you're
- 3:45Speaker 4: talking about. He did great getting into it.
- 3:49Speaker 5: Breakdown, break down.
- 3:50Speaker 7: Now, I'm just telling you it's I was going to
- 3:52Speaker 7: bring up another country that, you know, want to destroy America.
- 3:58Speaker 5: There's a couple of countries like that.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I just didn't. I just didn't feel like I
- 4:01Speaker 2: was gonna do that on a Friday. But we did
- 4:03Speaker 2: look up for the break that. Basically I was right.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Staying alive.
- 4:09Speaker 7: Staying Alive as a sequel to Saturday Night Fever. So
- 4:14Speaker 7: basically I was right. Which gona be thinking, what is
- 4:16Speaker 7: your favorite or you can do like top two or
- 4:20Speaker 7: three John Travolta movies.
- 4:23Speaker 5: Uh, face off, that's a chalk answer.
- 4:27Speaker 8: It's a good one.
- 4:28Speaker 6: Broken era with him and Christian Slater's You're not bad.
- 4:31Speaker 5: It's not bad.
- 4:32Speaker 4: Uh, Grease I'm not gonna I'm not gonna act like
- 4:35Speaker 4: I'm too cool.
- 4:36Speaker 5: Did I say grease?
- 4:37Speaker 8: It's an iconic one too.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Look who's talking talking was the.
- 4:43Speaker 7: One that I went to, like well, I went face
- 4:46Speaker 7: off and then I went, look he's talking, and look
- 4:48Speaker 7: he's talking to and look he's talking now binga pulp fiction.
- 4:56Speaker 5: That was mine, but I didn't want to be Chalky. Yeah, yeah,
- 4:59Speaker 5: pulp fiction that one.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I mean, it's fine.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Ensemble cast and so like, obviously you think of him,
- 5:03Speaker 4: he's one of the main characters. But that's there's so
- 5:06Speaker 4: many good characters in that. Like you ask about someone, yeah,
- 5:11Speaker 4: like you know for sure swordfish No, no, no, I
- 5:18Speaker 4: do like it.
- 5:19Speaker 5: You're not gonna give me a swordfish, Hali Berry. Nothing
- 5:23Speaker 5: outside of that?
- 5:24Speaker 7: What's a guy that is a Jackman?
- 5:27Speaker 2: Is that right?
- 5:27Speaker 3: Huge?
- 5:28Speaker 8: Yeah, Hugh Jackman's in it.
- 5:31Speaker 2: M what else we got?
- 5:34Speaker 4: We got LSU Baseball Game one Saturdays six pm Central Time,
- 5:40Speaker 4: Game two Sunday twelve thirty pm Central Time, Game three
- 5:46Speaker 4: if necessary, it's gonna be Monday five thirty pm Central Time. Man,
- 5:53Speaker 4: I don't and then know why you do? It's for
- 5:55Speaker 4: rest and to get the guy's bag. It's three straight days.
- 5:57Speaker 4: But man, gosh, day baseball game. I like going to
- 6:02Speaker 4: a day baseball game, but under the lights just hits
- 6:05Speaker 4: different when you're playing.
- 6:06Speaker 5: For it all. You wanted to feel special, Yeah, I
- 6:08Speaker 5: wanted to feel special. And we're so good with the
- 6:12Speaker 5: lights on, literally, Joe, Man, you know what that's funny
- 6:17Speaker 5: you say that, Jake, because what is a sporting event
- 6:20Speaker 5: that you would rather prefer in the daytime to night time?
- 6:23Speaker 8: I mean, the big NASCAR races are elder in the day.
- 6:25Speaker 5: I mean yeah that, I mean that makes sense obviously,
- 6:28Speaker 5: but football is better at night football. It's not even
- 6:31Speaker 5: remotely close.
- 6:33Speaker 4: And oh, by the way, speaking of Big ten, Big ten, Bob,
- 6:36Speaker 4: Bob Carpenter sent me a message at four forty seven
- 6:39Speaker 4: am and said, tell Flinner happy birthday for me. Oh wow, guy, Yeah,
- 6:44Speaker 4: the first thing. He's probably his eighth set of one
- 6:47Speaker 4: tens when he sent that.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Birthday's gotten nationwide.
- 6:49Speaker 4: But speaking of that, speaking of the Big Ten, Bobby
- 6:52Speaker 4: and I talk about this all the time and he's
- 6:55Speaker 4: used to it, so it's like not a big deal.
- 6:56Speaker 4: I'm like, no big football game should be played at brunch.
- 7:01Speaker 5: You shouldn't it.
- 7:02Speaker 4: And you hear people like, oh my gosh, you can
- 7:03Speaker 4: go to the tailgate early, you can go to the game,
- 7:05Speaker 4: you can go to the bars after.
- 7:07Speaker 5: I'm like, terrible, That's not what I'm looking for.
- 7:10Speaker 4: What I'm looking for is I show up to campus early,
- 7:16Speaker 4: still early, right.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Got to park, plenty of time.
- 7:18Speaker 4: I park, I go watch the games that are already on.
- 7:22Speaker 4: I'm eating, I'm drinking, I'm tasting yourself a little bit.
- 7:27Speaker 4: And you just you let you allow the campus to
- 7:30Speaker 4: just build energy with each passing hour, with each game
- 7:34Speaker 4: that's on, Like when it finishes up, the energy just
- 7:36Speaker 4: continues to build. How you feel, really feel, and then
- 7:39Speaker 4: by the time you get to under the lights, like
- 7:42Speaker 4: if there was a roof, it will be ready to
- 7:44Speaker 4: pop off. Like they're like the build up in a
- 7:47Speaker 4: big time night game compared to a day game. Yeah,
- 7:50Speaker 4: a day game you don't even have time, like even
- 7:52Speaker 4: as players just like wake up, get on the bus,
- 7:54Speaker 4: free game, go. But for a night game, you get
- 7:58Speaker 4: all day to go over things, think about things, well,
- 8:01Speaker 4: you know, not chase ghosts, but try to make sure
- 8:03Speaker 4: you have everything covered. And then like on campus, the
- 8:06Speaker 4: field just the lead into a big game.
- 8:08Speaker 5: The hanging out you can smell it in the air.
- 8:11Speaker 5: There's no doubt about it.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Different, Like no big time football game should be kicked
- 8:15Speaker 4: off before three point thirty.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Okay, I don't know.
- 8:18Speaker 8: I early I agree early What.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Was the game?
- 8:21Speaker 7: What was the game in the Big Ten this year
- 8:23Speaker 7: that played at eleven? It was Ohio State game.
- 8:26Speaker 4: It was.
- 8:29Speaker 7: You might be right. It was at the end of
- 8:30Speaker 7: the season and it was like two top five teams
- 8:32Speaker 7: playing might have been that game. And I remember listening
- 8:36Speaker 7: to y'all talk about it on this show. It was
- 8:39Speaker 7: at eleven o'clock game there, and the Big Ten was like, no,
- 8:43Speaker 7: that's what it's going to be, and we're not changing.
- 8:45Speaker 8: That's their thing though, like the kickoff, like they love.
- 8:47Speaker 7: It so like when So when I was in Green
- 8:49Speaker 7: Bay play it was, you know, you get a lot
- 8:52Speaker 7: of noon games in the NFL, of course, because that's
- 8:54Speaker 7: the time slots, right, So we had a lot of
- 8:56Speaker 7: new games in lambeau Field.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Then we'd have a couple of night games.
- 9:00Speaker 7: And you go to Wisconsin, the nicest, kindest people in
- 9:04Speaker 7: the world. They're not aggressive, they're not anything, right, So
- 9:07Speaker 7: at a noon game, it was like I would describe
- 9:12Speaker 7: it as like bring your grandkids to the ballpark, to
- 9:17Speaker 7: the stadium type of deal.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Like you'd go in.
- 9:19Speaker 7: There's a bunch of people being nice. They're all like
- 9:22Speaker 7: holding signs up like we love the Packers and like
- 9:25Speaker 7: go erin and you know whatever, school can. Yeah, have
- 9:30Speaker 7: a great play, guys.
- 9:33Speaker 2: But then when the night games came, you would think.
- 9:37Speaker 7: That it was like Saturday night in Death Valley, Like
- 9:40Speaker 7: it was a completely different population, a different field.
- 9:44Speaker 2: And I don't know how to explain.
- 9:47Speaker 7: As a player, when you get off a bus or
- 9:50Speaker 7: you enter a stadium, or enter the atmosphere LSU players,
- 9:53Speaker 7: when you're riding that bus and get on the hill,
- 9:55Speaker 7: it it's not even the noise. Sometimes you can just
- 9:58Speaker 7: feel low energy or you can feel high energy. And
- 10:01Speaker 7: I don't know why. I don't know if it's the
- 10:04Speaker 7: sound waves in the air. I don't know what it is.
- 10:06Speaker 7: But you can feel it whether it's happening or not.
- 10:09Speaker 7: You have no idea. You're getting off a bus. Yeah,
- 10:11Speaker 7: you step off a bus and you can just feel
- 10:13Speaker 7: if there's good energy or there's no energy.
- 10:16Speaker 2: And yeah, it is a kind of it's a shame
- 10:19Speaker 2: that I can tell you.
- 10:20Speaker 4: So we played y'all one year in San Diego. Y'all
- 10:23Speaker 4: were undefeated. We were so y'all were like eleven and
- 10:25Speaker 4: zero and we were like nine and two, like we
- 10:28Speaker 4: were really good. Y'all were really good, and we almost
- 10:30Speaker 4: like we made a comeback. It was a great football game.
- 10:33Speaker 4: It actually rained in San Diego, which never happens. It
- 10:35Speaker 4: was a great football game though, And that was a
- 10:39Speaker 4: day game, like so that should have been like peak.
- 10:42Speaker 4: And then like a week.
- 10:43Speaker 5: Later, we played like a bad Raiders team on a
- 10:45Speaker 5: Thursday night and it was juiced juice.
- 10:49Speaker 4: I mean, they were terrible, but it was still like,
- 10:51Speaker 4: this is a Thursday night. Nobody else is playing right now,
- 10:55Speaker 4: it's on this yeah, and you know, obviously like the
- 10:58Speaker 4: Packers had a ton of things too, but when we
- 11:01Speaker 4: played the Raiders, we were outnumbered in our own stadium, right,
- 11:04Speaker 4: so that brought some juice to it as well.
- 11:05Speaker 7: So I remember, so playing Monday and Thursday night games
- 11:10Speaker 7: are always the worst.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Thursdays a little bit better than Monday.
- 11:12Speaker 7: Monday night was the worst because usually if you have
- 11:15Speaker 7: a night game, like you get to chill in your
- 11:17Speaker 7: hotel room, you get to watch other games. On Monday night,
- 11:21Speaker 7: you have all your meetings and then you have like
- 11:22Speaker 7: this three four five hours of downtime that normally you
- 11:26Speaker 7: could get with your with your teammates, talk about the
- 11:28Speaker 7: game coming up, and watch other people play, just to
- 11:30Speaker 7: like get your mind off everything. Yeah, but on Monday
- 11:33Speaker 7: night football you get back to your hotel room and
- 11:35Speaker 7: you got to watch Days of Our Lives or you
- 11:38Speaker 7: know midday people. The price is right, there's nothing on TV.
- 11:45Speaker 7: So it's like, man, what am I gonna do? How
- 11:47Speaker 7: do I get my mind off of everything? Because you're
- 11:50Speaker 7: not studying, you're not cramming. Hay's in the barn at
- 11:52Speaker 7: that point, right, So.
- 11:53Speaker 4: If you're watching too much, then it's like we always
- 11:55Speaker 4: talk about chasing ghosts, and you're chasing things that you
- 11:58Speaker 4: don't need to and you create problems in aren't they?
- 12:00Speaker 2: That was always the worst that I was like, how
- 12:02Speaker 2: do I feel?
- 12:03Speaker 5: Four hours?
- 12:04Speaker 2: You know what?
- 12:05Speaker 7: Get me on the early best of the Stadium today.
- 12:07Speaker 5: I was always an early best guy anyway.
- 12:10Speaker 2: I was usually usually early bust.
- 12:13Speaker 4: I wanted to walk, I wanted to get out. I
- 12:15Speaker 4: wanted to walk around. I wanted to get a feel.
- 12:17Speaker 4: I wanted to get a little tourt all in the ivy.
- 12:20Speaker 4: You know important.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Stuff, important stuff in life.
- 12:23Speaker 6: I hate to give them credit because I hate these guys.
- 12:26Speaker 6: But like I'm at home, I could be watching on TV.
- 12:29Speaker 6: I see a Monday night game in Philly, Like I'm
- 12:32Speaker 6: fired up on my couch, like that place, that place
- 12:35Speaker 6: is electric on a Monday night.
- 12:36Speaker 8: Like that's that. That's that's incredible.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Most electric NFL stadium that you played in?
- 12:48Speaker 2: M Mmmm.
- 12:50Speaker 4: I feel like people ask us that question in college.
- 12:53Speaker 8: Yeah, you don't hear it as much.
- 12:54Speaker 5: And nobody really ask you in the NFL.
- 12:56Speaker 7: Well, it's one hundred percent. It would be a night situation.
- 13:01Speaker 7: So I had the most night games in Green Bay,
- 13:04Speaker 7: so that place could get very electric. Seattle Stadium, very loud, wild.
- 13:14Speaker 5: Legion of boom. That was scary. That was like a
- 13:16Speaker 5: death sentence. You had to go to the I mean
- 13:18Speaker 5: you're gonna go.
- 13:19Speaker 4: You're gonna lean more NFC because that's where you spend
- 13:21Speaker 4: a bullshiard of time.
- 13:22Speaker 5: I'm gonna lean more AFC. I thought Baltimore would be
- 13:26Speaker 5: Crazytimore's not bad. Pittsburgh's better.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Ye, Kansas City's college college.
- 13:35Speaker 2: We did play in Kansas City a lot.
- 13:36Speaker 4: They they were so bad when I first got into
- 13:39Speaker 4: the NFL. Brody Kroyle was their quarterback. And then the
- 13:43Speaker 4: next year, I think Tyler Thigpin speaking of Coast of
- 13:46Speaker 4: Carolina show their quarterback.
- 13:49Speaker 5: They were bad. He was there at some point.
- 13:50Speaker 4: They were bad, bad, and it was packed to the
- 13:54Speaker 4: gills and it was late in the season. And that
- 13:57Speaker 4: place also can change and the snap of a finger.
- 14:02Speaker 4: We go there one year, it's like seventy beautiful weather. Yeah,
- 14:06Speaker 4: we go to halftime and we come back out and
- 14:09Speaker 4: it's like low thirties with the most win you've ever
- 14:12Speaker 4: seen in your life. Everybody got so sick because of
- 14:17Speaker 4: the change, drastic like change, just like immediately in weather,
- 14:21Speaker 4: like on the plane, everybody was miserably sick. Like that
- 14:25Speaker 4: place has things that no other NFL stadium in my opinion,
- 14:29Speaker 4: have with the weather, with the fans, and.
- 14:31Speaker 5: With no matter how good or bad they are, they're
- 14:34Speaker 5: going to be there.
- 14:35Speaker 7: Yeah, the Arrowhead is uh is built different for sure.
- 14:40Speaker 2: That fan base.
- 14:41Speaker 7: That fan base shows out and when even on TV
- 14:43Speaker 7: you can kind of tell watching the games they do
- 14:45Speaker 7: all the pre game yet. Yeah, yeah, we went there
- 14:48Speaker 7: thirteen and oh in twenty eleven, we were coming off
- 14:50Speaker 7: a Super Bowl. In twenty ten, we're thirteen and oh,
- 14:55Speaker 7: an incredible team, probably better than the year before. Yeah,
- 14:58Speaker 7: feeling pretty good that we we were just gonna you know,
- 15:01Speaker 7: nineteen and oh that year.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Uh.
- 15:03Speaker 7: And then Kansas City, who uh who was the coach
- 15:08Speaker 7: that got fired the week before we got there?
- 15:10Speaker 5: So Todd Haley.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Todd Haley got fired. I believe Romeo Crenell was the classic.
- 15:17Speaker 7: We got bit by the classicium the drum head coach,
- 15:22Speaker 7: virus man. They went every time, if you're a sports
- 15:25Speaker 7: gambler and a coach gets fired, bet on that team
- 15:28Speaker 7: the next Oh.
- 15:29Speaker 5: Yeah, does juice man, juice? He had his juice. He
- 15:33Speaker 5: did rizzy over here making a stretch and all that
- 15:36Speaker 5: players are happy. I was like, man, we've been waiting
- 15:38Speaker 5: to do this all year. Couldn't beleeve it what Okay?
- 15:41Speaker 5: So we talked about the best it's the worst NFL.
- 15:44Speaker 2: We also got to say the Buffalo is pretty pretty.
- 15:47Speaker 5: Okay, So Buffalo's good. Uh.
- 15:49Speaker 4: The game I played there, the power went out in
- 15:52Speaker 4: the stadium, like the entire stadium the power went out,
- 15:55Speaker 4: and they had to keep the clock on the field
- 15:57Speaker 4: with like old school stopwatches.
- 15:59Speaker 5: Wow, And so we had no communication.
- 16:02Speaker 4: It was just a cluster, you know what, the entire game,
- 16:05Speaker 4: trying to get plays in, signals in. Come on, you're
- 16:11Speaker 4: on a stopwatch right now, like we're trying to get
- 16:14Speaker 4: a play into Bud. I promise, yes, But I mean
- 16:18Speaker 4: Buffalo for sure. The worst for me was Miami. Really,
- 16:23Speaker 4: those people didn't.
- 16:24Speaker 8: Care to be I was going to guess Jacksonville.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Now, we played Jacksonville like actually crazy both times. I
- 16:32Speaker 4: think we're like National TV night games in Jacksonville.
- 16:36Speaker 8: You played them, when you played them, they were probably
- 16:37Speaker 8: pretty good.
- 16:38Speaker 5: I don't remember. I remember Paul Pus Luxney. Yeah, oh no,
- 16:43Speaker 5: neck having Yeah, I was just for sure.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I think we played there early. I think
- 16:48Speaker 2: m j D was still there.
- 16:49Speaker 5: He probably was still there during this time as well.
- 16:52Speaker 5: But it's Miami for me.
- 16:53Speaker 4: I mean they were one like before they built the
- 16:55Speaker 4: new stadium, they were one of the ones that would
- 16:57Speaker 4: have a baseball field during baseball season, and so you're
- 17:00Speaker 4: playing like you're playing a professional football game on a
- 17:03Speaker 4: baseball field. So you're running down on kickoff, you're in grass,
- 17:07Speaker 4: all of a sudden you're in dirt, and then you're.
- 17:08Speaker 5: Back on grass.
- 17:10Speaker 4: Oakland did that in our division. I always did in Oakland,
- 17:14Speaker 4: but Miami.
- 17:14Speaker 7: Did it to Miami sucked because there was at least
- 17:17Speaker 7: Oakland had juice in the stadium, Like they had fans.
- 17:20Speaker 5: That were the black Hole.
- 17:21Speaker 7: Yeah, but Miami had a huge stadium, incredible stadium, fourteen fans,
- 17:29Speaker 7: most of them wearing Hurricanes jerseys. A lot of Packers
- 17:32Speaker 7: fans were there when we were playing, and we were
- 17:34Speaker 7: coming from Wisconsin and it was hot, like its just
- 17:37Speaker 7: and it was always during the day because they're never
- 17:38Speaker 7: going to get a night game, and it it did suck.
- 17:42Speaker 7: And then of course I go play for the Raiders
- 17:44Speaker 7: in that field. Is just terrible.
- 17:46Speaker 2: The people, I mean, they hated me in general. Like
- 17:48Speaker 2: you go to the black Hole and it just you know,
- 17:50Speaker 2: smells like some you know.
- 17:52Speaker 5: Yeah blacky backy, yeah, yeah, a little Devil's lettuce.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Devil's lettuce.
- 17:57Speaker 5: Miami.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Also like it was so humand like if you wore
- 17:59Speaker 4: a visor, immediately had to take it off because flogging
- 18:02Speaker 4: up a humidity advisor because in the preseason.
- 18:07Speaker 2: And don't blame it on anything, you thought I.
- 18:09Speaker 4: Would have worn to LSU if I thought it looked cool, uh, preseason,
- 18:13Speaker 4: I wear contacts. At that point got poking the eye
- 18:17Speaker 4: against the Seahawks in a preseason game. I'm like, trying
- 18:19Speaker 4: to make the team. I get it, but it's the
- 18:22Speaker 4: fourth quarter of the third preseason game. What are we
- 18:24Speaker 4: doing poking people in the eye? Were doing contact pops out, okay,
- 18:30Speaker 4: and so like I got like one eye because I mean,
- 18:33Speaker 4: if I didn't have contacts then I couldn't see anything.
- 18:37Speaker 5: I mean coke bottle glasses for me back then. Really
- 18:40Speaker 5: I couldn't even imagine what.
- 18:41Speaker 4: So after that started wearing advisor so that couldn't happen.
- 18:46Speaker 4: End up getting Lasik and so after that, yeah, I
- 18:49Speaker 4: kept it because it probably looked cool, But.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Initially was it mirrored.
- 18:56Speaker 4: We had one guy that was going to have a
- 18:57Speaker 4: cool advisor on our team, and it was the guy
- 18:59Speaker 4: behind I am mean number twenty one.
- 19:01Speaker 5: It wasn't me. I was just gonna ask them, how
- 19:03Speaker 5: did he get away with that? He was LT.
- 19:05Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, he was a better number one people, Which.
- 19:10Speaker 4: That's not like he wouldn't like, he didn't walk around
- 19:12Speaker 4: like I'm melt like, you wouldn't know. He's one of
- 19:13Speaker 4: the best running backs of all time, one great human
- 19:16Speaker 4: being down to earth. But he's LT. LT I've told
- 19:20Speaker 4: his story to these two, but Jordan, you probably hadn't
- 19:22Speaker 4: heard this. We're watching tape one day and uh, we
- 19:26Speaker 4: were going routes on linebackers, like one on ones, right,
- 19:31Speaker 4: and it was from like the the top view. We
- 19:34Speaker 4: had a couple of different views, but it was like
- 19:35Speaker 4: the all twenty two views, so it's really high up whatever.
- 19:38Speaker 5: We're going through it and watching it.
- 19:41Speaker 4: Nor's like, hey, when you run this arrow route, Darren,
- 19:46Speaker 4: you got to get across the linebacker's face talking to
- 19:48Speaker 4: Sprowls like you got to like it's it's not even
- 19:50Speaker 4: in the discussion. If you don't do it, Phillip's gonna
- 19:53Speaker 4: throw an interception, it's gonna be your fault.
- 19:55Speaker 5: Just going after him a little bit.
- 19:56Speaker 4: And then the running back coach goes, uh, hey, Nor,
- 19:59Speaker 4: that tell Tea and he goes hell of out.
- 20:03Speaker 5: Lt Hey.
- 20:08Speaker 4: It just goes on to the next places, is like
- 20:11Speaker 4: what Yeah.
- 20:13Speaker 5: There was.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Sprolls was still kind of young ish a rookie because
- 20:16Speaker 4: I was He's probably a third year when I got there,
- 20:18Speaker 4: But I mean Sprolls ended up being almost I think
- 20:21Speaker 4: he could be a Hall of Famer with what he did.
- 20:23Speaker 7: Return wise, it was so funny how you'd always get
- 20:25Speaker 7: young guys or you know, three or four year players
- 20:29Speaker 7: that were you know, special team guys. Was trying to
- 20:31Speaker 7: like make it year by year, they get fined or
- 20:35Speaker 7: they'd get in trouble or have to do something for it,
- 20:37Speaker 7: like doing something small, like bringing something they shouldn't into
- 20:41Speaker 7: a team meeting, or like just just doing something little
- 20:45Speaker 7: like just clean up stuff in the locker room, and
- 20:48Speaker 7: they get so mad. They're like, this is BS, this
- 20:51Speaker 7: is bush League. I saw I just saw Aaron Rodgers
- 20:54Speaker 7: do that and he doesn't get in trouble. And I'm like, yeah,
- 20:58Speaker 7: I know, guess what, there's a hierarchy here and not everybody,
- 21:03Speaker 7: like life isn't fair, but not everybody gets graded on
- 21:05Speaker 7: the same scale. So I think you should probably just
- 21:07Speaker 7: deal with it and run down and kickoff.
- 21:10Speaker 4: Yeah, you should be the L five and go hit
- 21:12Speaker 4: the wedge. My guy, you're not Aaron Rodgers.
- 21:14Speaker 7: I got Alva the U the huddle, the chat over
- 21:17Speaker 7: here saying who was the Jacksonville lineman whose pregamer teams
- 21:22Speaker 7: get slapped in the face, and that is big John Henderson, Tennessee.
- 21:28Speaker 8: I'll play the video here was from Tennessee.
- 21:30Speaker 2: I thought he was Baylor, Big John Henderson. There was
- 21:34Speaker 2: a big boy named Henderson.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Baylor.
- 21:37Speaker 5: We're trying to make people Baylor Bears. Oh for real.
- 21:40Speaker 5: The only one we recognize here is Alvin.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Everybody should respect him.
- 21:44Speaker 5: Alvin Flynn's the only one we recognize here.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Like John Henderson, you talk about scary human.
- 21:52Speaker 5: Yeah, there was some of those defensive linemen during that
- 21:54Speaker 5: time period. We're just all right, let's do this.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Let's take a break because we got Anthony coming up
- 21:58Speaker 4: at eight thirty. Short set will show you one of

- 23:18Speaker 1: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 23:23Speaker 4: All Right, it's gonna be a short seg got a
- 23:25Speaker 4: guy Anthony Ronado set to join us here.
- 23:27Speaker 5: Coming up.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Here is the video that we were talking about John
- 23:33Speaker 4: Henderson's unusual pregame routine. Look at Jack del Rio, look
- 23:39Speaker 4: at young say Jack, oh yeah sure. How about if
- 23:47Speaker 4: you're that guy that has to slap one of the
- 23:50Speaker 4: scariest looking human beings, Look at him walking out shoulder.
- 23:55Speaker 4: It takes up the whole God dang, yeah, there's no
- 23:58Speaker 4: way I was going to the league.
- 24:01Speaker 5: All right, so I can so real quick.
- 24:04Speaker 4: In the chat of the same discussion is going on
- 24:07Speaker 4: and somebody talking about the scariest person in the NFL,
- 24:11Speaker 4: and Walter was mentioned in a couple but he also
- 24:13Speaker 4: mentioned Aaron Donald. But here's like everybody talked to talks
- 24:19Speaker 4: about like Aaron Donald's a nice guy, super nice. So
- 24:22Speaker 4: like for me, he's terrifying on the football field because
- 24:24Speaker 4: he's really good. But it's like it's like a switch
- 24:27Speaker 4: he turns on. He's not that guy. That's why this
- 24:32Speaker 4: answer is always James Harrison debo. It's always because I
- 24:39Speaker 4: don't really know where his mindsets at. I'm gonna be
- 24:41Speaker 4: honest with you off the field, James Harrison, I think
- 24:45Speaker 4: wants to hurt you as much as he wanted to
- 24:47Speaker 4: hurt you on the field because he played against you
- 24:49Speaker 4: one time. I saw him at the Super Bowl this
- 24:52Speaker 4: year and I'm like, I know I cut him one time.
- 24:56Speaker 4: He wasn't very happy about. I think you remembers that.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Think I should go say hello, do you think I
- 25:01Speaker 4: should just walk the other way? He's the only guy
- 25:03Speaker 4: for me that when I was playing, I was like,
- 25:06Speaker 4: I don't know, like anybody else, I'm like look, it's
- 25:08Speaker 4: a blog. I'm like, whatever, James Harrison like some of
- 25:11Speaker 4: the stuff he would say under the pile, And during
- 25:14Speaker 4: the moment, I'm like, I don't know that. I don't
- 25:17Speaker 4: know this guy has my best interest at heart.
- 25:20Speaker 5: You're telling me James Harrison had that prison trash talk
- 25:22Speaker 5: he did.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Oh well he said it, and you're like, huh, I
- 25:25Speaker 2: think I think he meant that in his heart. Yeah,
- 25:31Speaker 2: so you caught it.
- 25:31Speaker 7: You're definitely like on his Billy Madison people to kill her.
- 25:35Speaker 2: For sure, for sure?
- 25:36Speaker 7: For sure. I'm is there is there a picture out
- 25:40Speaker 7: there of James Harrison smiling.
- 25:44Speaker 4: Like a headshine of something for like a or maybe
- 25:47Speaker 4: like when he got like maybe if he like trucks
- 25:49Speaker 4: somebody and he's like talking to him wild smiling.
- 25:53Speaker 5: Yeah, he probably smiled when he took Colt McCoy's life,
- 25:55Speaker 5: so he probably I'm.
- 25:58Speaker 7: Gonna I'm gonna stick in the n FC here just
- 26:00Speaker 7: because we saw him all the time and Dominic and
- 26:02Speaker 7: Sue was a terrifying person and he was and he
- 26:05Speaker 7: played because he played dirty, right, So that's what made
- 26:08Speaker 7: him kind of terrible that I think there's I can't
- 26:10Speaker 7: remember if it was early on like Jake Delhome or
- 26:12Speaker 7: something like that with the Bears, like as a rookie.
- 26:15Speaker 7: He took his head and like twisted it and ripped
- 26:19Speaker 7: it off, and he the helmet came off thing. But
- 26:21Speaker 7: like he was trying to look like you're trying to snap.
- 26:24Speaker 5: A neckybe smiling.
- 26:28Speaker 2: That was easy. Someone must have fallen.
- 26:31Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, he was laughing at some money.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Someone got broke their leg, right, yeah, somebody was.
- 26:37Speaker 5: Somebody was cussed right in front of him. Look at
- 26:39Speaker 5: that bone, blood and air Like a shark smells blood
- 26:44Speaker 5: and water, and.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Dom can sue the tackle.
- 26:46Speaker 7: Sacked me for a safety one time and he had
- 26:48Speaker 7: me like in the air, and I was like, in
- 26:51Speaker 7: my mind, I was like this could be bad, Like
- 26:53Speaker 7: he could try to like do the old school like
- 26:55Speaker 7: street fight or backbreaker over the knee or something like that.
- 26:57Speaker 7: I didn't know it was going to happen. But he
- 26:59Speaker 7: like kind of just set me down easily. Yeah, he
- 27:03Speaker 7: was a mature player at that time. He had had
- 27:05Speaker 7: a lot of fines. Yeah, a lot of fines. But
- 27:09Speaker 7: he also knew early on in that game. Third play
- 27:11Speaker 7: the game, I think I think it was a third play.
- 27:13Speaker 7: The game was a third down. This was in h
- 27:16Speaker 7: This was in playing in Detroit on Thanksgiving through an.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Out'ro oute to Jordi.
- 27:21Speaker 7: We caught it, got the first down, but he came back.
- 27:23Speaker 7: He had a clean shot on me. He could have
- 27:25Speaker 7: just like crushed me. A clean shot. You know, a
- 27:28Speaker 7: form tackle doesn't hurt that bad, Like it's a clean
- 27:32Speaker 7: good pads cl He could have hit me hard.
- 27:35Speaker 2: He didn't.
- 27:36Speaker 7: He had a free shot at me, ran by me,
- 27:39Speaker 7: sniped me with his elbow right in the rib cage.
- 27:42Speaker 7: Didn't tackle me, hit me in the ribs with his
- 27:44Speaker 7: elbow crack.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Oh yeah, with his elbow.
- 27:50Speaker 7: I was like, man, come on, Sue, just hit me
- 27:54Speaker 7: next time, like he knew what he was doing.
- 27:56Speaker 2: He had a free shot.
- 27:59Speaker 5: I gotta take a break, but sorry.
- 28:02Speaker 4: What I'm surprised by is that when guys are miked up,
- 28:07Speaker 4: and it happens every game now, but he used to
- 28:09Speaker 4: have him pretty often even when we played. I'm surprised
- 28:12Speaker 4: that that footage hasn't found its way to the public.
- 28:16Speaker 5: Some of the stuff that's set an uncensored version.
- 28:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm surprised that hasn't. You know, somebody got mad
- 28:23Speaker 4: at the NFL network and oh bet here you go,
- 28:27Speaker 4: James Harrison unedited. He would I mean he's bad. He
- 28:31Speaker 4: wouldn't even be the worst. I'll figure out it.
- 28:33Speaker 7: Is not in the Shields best interest to let any
- 28:36Speaker 7: I'm saying like they got it.
- 28:37Speaker 4: They probably keep I'm surprised there wasn't a disgruntled employee
- 28:41Speaker 4: that hasn't a All right, we are going to catch
- 28:45Speaker 4: up with our guy, Anthony Ronardo when we come back
- 28:47Speaker 4: here break down L s U and Coastal Carolina getting

- 31:20Speaker 2: I appreciate it.
- 31:21Speaker 5: Hey, let me tell you something, Anthony.
- 31:23Speaker 4: You know who really messed up the other day was
- 31:25Speaker 4: Matt showing me Fanatics Live.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Oh I told you about that.
- 31:31Speaker 4: I was like, I know, and I didn't investigate. But
- 31:33Speaker 4: then he sends me a screenshot and I'm like, crap.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Yeah, that would be a real problem.
- 31:39Speaker 9: I'm telling you, you could go down a rabbit hole.
- 31:41Speaker 5: Real fouts could be or already.

- 31:57Speaker 9: You know the way you money on the sports get
- 32:00Speaker 9: into a Fanatics library exactly.
- 32:03Speaker 5: Anthony gets it. You don't get it. It's a big
- 32:04Speaker 5: picture deal, big picture, big picture deal.
- 32:07Speaker 4: Here real quick, What do you got going on in Chicago?
- 32:10Speaker 4: That sounds like an awesome trip? Like maybe, yeah, you
- 32:13Speaker 4: can say hello to our boy Ta Bob while you're there.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Yeah, Oh shoot, I forgot he's up here. Yeah, that's right.
- 32:19Speaker 9: So my best friend from New Jersey actually is a
- 32:21Speaker 9: sports agent up here or does marketing with Scott Boris's agency.
- 32:25Speaker 9: So I just he lives right in Regularville. So I
- 32:28Speaker 9: just stopped in on the way to New Jersey where
- 32:30Speaker 9: I grew up. And then Fanatics test this weekend. So
- 32:33Speaker 9: I was just here for like three days. We caught
- 32:34Speaker 9: a game yesterday.
- 32:35Speaker 3: It was fun.
- 32:36Speaker 7: Tell us about Fanatics fast. I'm like, we've we've never
- 32:39Speaker 7: heard of him. Sure, some of our listeners are will
- 32:41Speaker 7: tell us about what that is and what happens.
- 32:44Speaker 9: Yeah, so you talk about having fun ripping some cards. Man,
- 32:47Speaker 9: it is like a big kids like playground. They got
- 32:50Speaker 9: all kinds of activations. There's all kinds of shops from
- 32:52Speaker 9: all over the country. There's all kinds of every brand
- 32:55Speaker 9: of sports cards and collectibles that you could ever imagine.
- 32:59Speaker 9: There's all kinds of m on CCG. But then they
- 33:01Speaker 9: have autograph signings. Jay Z's forty to forty Club was
- 33:04Speaker 9: in there last year, and you know, they were hosting
- 33:06Speaker 9: VIP sessions things like that. That's just a big, like
- 33:08Speaker 9: fan experience for like a whole weekend in the Javit
- 33:11Speaker 9: Center in New York.
- 33:14Speaker 4: And you're going to Chicago at Fanatics in a great
- 33:18Speaker 4: mood because Tigers won and they had an incredible, incredible
- 33:26Speaker 4: game the other night. And we had Mikey on a
- 33:27Speaker 4: little bit earlier. We were talking about, you know, all
- 33:30Speaker 4: the different things that happened in that game. But for you, Anthony,
- 33:33Speaker 4: like you're you're a pitcher, so maybe you had a
- 33:34Speaker 4: different kind of view than Mikey did.
- 33:36Speaker 5: What was the moment for you in that game the
- 33:39Speaker 5: other night? Yeah?
- 33:42Speaker 3: Well, dude, you know what's the craziest.
- 33:43Speaker 9: Part was listen to this.
- 33:44Speaker 3: So I had a business dinner.
- 33:46Speaker 9: At seven thirty in Chicago, and so I watched the
- 33:48Speaker 9: first hour and a half on the car ride there.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Then we get to the dinner. The guy's a little late,
- 33:52Speaker 3: so we sit down.
- 33:53Speaker 9: I get a prime spot to watch the game. I
- 33:55Speaker 9: watch all nine and a half innings and then the
- 33:59Speaker 9: Peacocks streaming thing goes out in the bottom of the nine.
- 34:02Speaker 9: Oh so I did not watch it live.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I was kind of like watching over the Guy Show,
- 34:06Speaker 3: you know. I'm then listening in the meeting and talking
- 34:08Speaker 3: and stuff.
- 34:08Speaker 9: But I watched every single pitch, So I didn't get
- 34:11Speaker 9: to watch the bottom of the ninth.
- 34:12Speaker 3: But for me.
- 34:14Speaker 9: I think just the energy that that team like just
- 34:17Speaker 9: brings and doesn't quit with was kind of it for me.
- 34:20Speaker 9: It was just that never stopped. And it was weird
- 34:22Speaker 9: because when it was five three going into the ninth,
- 34:24Speaker 9: I was like and the TV went out, I was like, oh,
- 34:27Speaker 9: I'm not that concerned. I was like, no matter what,
- 34:29Speaker 9: we're coming back tomorrow. But I had this weird feeling
- 34:31Speaker 9: that my phone just started blowing up. And what everybody
- 34:34Speaker 9: said in my group chat was it was just LSU baseball,
- 34:36Speaker 9: And that's kind of what everybody said in the interviews afterwards,
- 34:39Speaker 9: which is crazy, right. But felt so bad for that
- 34:41Speaker 9: kid and everything, But it was a great win for LSU,
- 34:44Speaker 9: and man, they got some crazy momentum going into the series.
- 34:48Speaker 4: I hate to be the guy that tells you this news.
- 34:50Speaker 4: But Anthony, you know how this works. You know you
- 34:52Speaker 4: can't watch the games now.
- 34:54Speaker 9: I know, maybe it's just the last inning though I
- 34:56Speaker 9: watched nine and a half.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Though I watched nine and a half.
- 35:00Speaker 4: Okay, all right, just make sure you know baseball is superstitious.
- 35:02Speaker 4: You know that better than we do.
- 35:03Speaker 9: I'm just saying, yeah, I'll pick the right time to
- 35:06Speaker 9: turn off the TV when they need to come back.
- 35:08Speaker 3: I'll just turn it off. Then when they come back,
- 35:09Speaker 3: I can put it back on.
- 35:10Speaker 2: All right.
- 35:11Speaker 7: This is one thing like throughout this whole Super Regionals
- 35:15Speaker 7: and College World Series that I'm just curious as a fan.
- 35:19Speaker 7: So when you look at the pictures, we don't have
- 35:20Speaker 7: to worry about this now because we got the day's rest.
- 35:22Speaker 7: We're gonna have Kate Anderson and Iansen on full rest
- 35:25Speaker 7: and full go this weekend. But when you get in
- 35:28Speaker 7: situations where which could have happened the other day, where
- 35:32Speaker 7: Ironston comes in the game on short rest and pitchers
- 35:34Speaker 7: have to speed up their recovery, how does your your
- 35:38Speaker 7: rest days change from a treatment standpoint, from a body
- 35:42Speaker 7: maintenance standpoint, when you know you have to rush a
- 35:45Speaker 7: recovery to get back on the mound quicker than you
- 35:47Speaker 7: normally would.
- 35:49Speaker 9: Yeah, I was a starter of my whole life, so
- 35:53Speaker 9: that was a big thing for me. And that's where
- 35:55Speaker 9: you know, if they have a chance to keep Kate
- 35:57Speaker 9: on his weekly schedule going in the champions Series, you always.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Want to do that.
- 36:01Speaker 9: But in Ainston's case, like he's come out of the
- 36:03Speaker 9: bullten a couple times this year and obviously has thrived
- 36:06Speaker 9: when he did, so his case might be a little different.
- 36:09Speaker 9: But it definitely takes a toll on the body, and
- 36:10Speaker 9: especially when you're kind of built as a starter and
- 36:13Speaker 9: you're used to that, you've done it your whole life,
- 36:16Speaker 9: it definitely takes a toll. And basically what it is
- 36:18Speaker 9: is you're kind of going on adrenaline, and especially at
- 36:20Speaker 9: the end of the year, so yeah, it takes a
- 36:22Speaker 9: little longer to warm up maybe, but once you get
- 36:25Speaker 9: in there, you kind of feel the same. And really
- 36:27Speaker 9: it's the recovery afterwards that kind of catches up to you, right,
- 36:30Speaker 9: So that's why it was so big that we didn't
- 36:32Speaker 9: have to use Anton because then his recovery afterwards leading
- 36:37Speaker 9: into the Championship Series probably would have caught up with him.
- 36:40Speaker 4: Somewhere down the line, you know, so many pitching performances
- 36:44Speaker 4: that are going to get lost in that game the
- 36:47Speaker 4: other night because of the ninth inning, because of how
- 36:49Speaker 4: it all played out. But I mean, now guys that
- 36:52Speaker 4: you certainly can count on as you continue to try
- 36:54Speaker 4: to go win a national championship. Like what Cowan gave
- 36:57Speaker 4: you five and a third only giving up four hits
- 36:59Speaker 4: and run Jay Newke comes in gives you a clean inning.
- 37:03Speaker 4: There was I thought Chase Sures for the most part,
- 37:06Speaker 4: was actually really good. And I know a lot of
- 37:08Speaker 4: people are like, hey, throw more fastballs. I get it,
- 37:10Speaker 4: but I mean he was hitting his spots. And then
- 37:13Speaker 4: like Jacob Myers coming in, I know he gave up
- 37:14Speaker 4: like the hit, but like you had infield in obviously
- 37:17Speaker 4: trying to make a play there, but for him to
- 37:19Speaker 4: come in and get those final two strikeouts. At the time,
- 37:23Speaker 4: nobody really thought anything of it, but it closed the
- 37:25Speaker 4: door on Arkansas. They didn't score any more runs because
- 37:28Speaker 4: of it. And so like, there's some pitching performances, Anthony,
- 37:31Speaker 4: that are probably going to get lost that were huge.
- 37:33Speaker 5: The other night.
- 37:34Speaker 9: N And you said it, I think people sleep all
- 37:36Speaker 9: the time, and I don't know what Mikey's answer was.
- 37:38Speaker 9: I didn't hear what he said. But you know, in
- 37:40Speaker 9: those situations when you keep a team close and your
- 37:43Speaker 9: team isn't striking distance, that is the main key, and
- 37:46Speaker 9: that's the tricky part for Jay. When I was watching
- 37:48Speaker 9: the game, I'm like, oh, man, it's such a weird
- 37:50Speaker 9: way to manage the bulltend because you want to try
- 37:53Speaker 9: to win that game obviously, right, yeah, but you know
- 37:55Speaker 9: you have that game in your back pocket to fall
- 37:57Speaker 9: back on the next.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Day, so you're like, Okay, I don't want use all
- 38:00Speaker 3: of my bullets.
- 38:01Speaker 9: But I think I think for me, the biggest development
- 38:04Speaker 9: is Chase Shortes. He's putting him in those positions where
- 38:07Speaker 9: we need him the most. I thought he kept him
- 38:09Speaker 9: in Justin's had too long. Obviously, hindsight's always twenty twenty, right,
- 38:12Speaker 9: But I think the way that he was dominating and
- 38:15Speaker 9: has been dominating, I think that has been the biggest
- 38:18Speaker 9: development for us. And to have him and that confidence
- 38:21Speaker 9: at the end of a game, or more importantly, in
- 38:24Speaker 9: like a big situation in the seventh inning where we
- 38:26Speaker 9: need a strikeout or just a shut down inning or
- 38:28Speaker 9: something like that. That's where I think he's most valuable,
- 38:31Speaker 9: and that's what I think we keep seeing. But the
- 38:33Speaker 9: guys keep rising to the occasion, doesn't matter who it is.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Or what position they're in. And that's kind of like
- 38:37Speaker 3: what you see.
- 38:38Speaker 9: Every time you look back on a championship team. So
- 38:41Speaker 9: these guys keep doing that, Jay keeps pressing the right
- 38:43Speaker 9: buttons and it's been fun to watch.
- 38:45Speaker 7: Yeah, Anthey, how big of an advantage it is it
- 38:48Speaker 7: for a pitcher to know that they have such a
- 38:52Speaker 7: dominant and sound defense behind them, Like what does that
- 38:56Speaker 7: do for the confidence level?
- 38:58Speaker 2: Like to go out there and just say.
- 38:59Speaker 7: Hey, let me hit my spots and throw strikes because
- 39:02Speaker 7: I know I got this defense back here. But is
- 39:03Speaker 7: that something that pictures are cognizant of that builds their confidence.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Is it just or are they just a one.
- 39:09Speaker 7: Guy out there just saying I gotta strike some guys
- 39:11Speaker 7: out and get them out.
- 39:13Speaker 9: I think it's more of a subconscious thing. It's definitely
- 39:16Speaker 9: more noticeable when you have a bad defense. That's more
- 39:18Speaker 9: of when you're like, oh, like I got to throw
- 39:21Speaker 9: everything kind of perfect. I gotta do a lot more
- 39:23Speaker 9: than I need, you know what I'm saying? Like that
- 39:24Speaker 9: kind of stuff. So I think it's more of a
- 39:26Speaker 9: confidence play of.
- 39:28Speaker 3: Cool, I can be who I need to be.
- 39:30Speaker 9: And that's where we've seen some of these pitchers and
- 39:32Speaker 9: we talked about it. I think after the Regional when
- 39:35Speaker 9: each starter gave up, you know, five or six or whatever.
- 39:37Speaker 9: But I was like, guys, they were up, they had
- 39:39Speaker 9: a big lead. They were doing what they needed to do.
- 39:41Speaker 9: And when you have a defense like that, you're like, cool,
- 39:43Speaker 9: let me throw the ball down the middle and let
- 39:45Speaker 9: them go try to hit it as long as I
- 39:46Speaker 9: don't walt guys, you know type thing. So I think
- 39:49Speaker 9: it's more of that mindset of yeah, we have a
- 39:52Speaker 9: great team behind me. I can do whatever I need
- 39:54Speaker 9: to do, and if that, if the day calls for
- 39:56Speaker 9: me just to throw strikes and let the ball be
- 39:58Speaker 9: put in play.
- 39:58Speaker 5: That's a great thing, Anthony. You got your two front
- 40:03Speaker 5: line starters.
- 40:03Speaker 4: You already mentioned that that's going to give you a
- 40:05Speaker 4: huge advantage. Guys out of the bullpen that you trust
- 40:10Speaker 4: in any situation.
- 40:11Speaker 5: What's that number up to and who is.
- 40:13Speaker 9: It I actually got? I actually really love our bullpen
- 40:17Speaker 9: right now. The other night I was calling for Cooper
- 40:20Speaker 9: Williams in certain situations. So like, I think we got
- 40:23Speaker 9: four or five guys that I feel really confident in
- 40:26Speaker 9: out of the bullpen. You saw what Cohen can do,
- 40:28Speaker 9: whether that means long relief spots start like he did
- 40:32Speaker 9: he was closing earlier in the year. You know, you
- 40:34Speaker 9: got Evans obviously in that flex role too, but he
- 40:38Speaker 9: was obviously shown that he can throw a one inning
- 40:41Speaker 9: and be that shutdown guy in the ninth I love
- 40:43Speaker 9: Shores right now, I said Cooper Williams. I'm trying to
- 40:47Speaker 9: think you got Jaden Newt being able to do the
- 40:49Speaker 9: things that he does.
- 40:50Speaker 3: So I don't know.
- 40:50Speaker 9: I got five guys, five six guys that I feel
- 40:52Speaker 9: really confident about about that out of that bullpen.
- 40:56Speaker 7: All right, let's put you on the spot a little
- 40:57Speaker 7: bit here. Give us your prediction. How do you see
- 41:00Speaker 7: the weekend playing out?
- 41:02Speaker 3: Ah, don't do this to me.
- 41:05Speaker 2: We're recording this.
- 41:05Speaker 9: I hate I hate momentum.
- 41:08Speaker 3: I hate momentum.
- 41:09Speaker 9: And like we talked about, this team is really good.
- 41:13Speaker 3: They're really good. So I.
- 41:17Speaker 9: It's weird if they if Coastal wins, I would not
- 41:20Speaker 9: be surprised.
- 41:21Speaker 3: But I think LSU is.
- 41:22Speaker 9: The better team overall, and I think they're I think
- 41:26Speaker 9: they have a slight coaching advantage. So I'm gonna go LSU,
- 41:29Speaker 9: and it's obviously close to my heart, but I think
- 41:31Speaker 9: it's one of three game series and I would not
- 41:34Speaker 9: be surprised at all Coastal wins all right there, he.
- 41:37Speaker 4: Is, Anthony Reno, good enough to join us from Chicago.
- 41:41Speaker 4: We always appreciate the time, but certainly when you're out
- 41:43Speaker 4: there enjoying life, oh Maha, Chicago doing all the things, man,
- 41:47Speaker 4: we appreciate it.
- 41:49Speaker 3: Yes, appreciate you guys.
- 41:50Speaker 5: Go Tigers, Absolutely, Go Tiger.
- 41:56Speaker 4: I think a lot of people, just I think a
- 41:58Speaker 4: lot of people have this going three games, no matter
- 42:01Speaker 4: which way it plays out breaks down. Two teams incredibly
- 42:04Speaker 4: hot right now, two teams that have really found themselves
- 42:09Speaker 4: at the back end of the season. Certainly Coastal on
- 42:12Speaker 4: their you know, twenty plus wins in a row, but
- 42:14Speaker 4: even LSHU, like you lost the one game to Little Rock,
- 42:18Speaker 4: but you sweep You're super You've swept Omaha so far.
- 42:22Speaker 4: It is the two teams that, without question deserve to
- 42:25Speaker 4: be there.
- 42:26Speaker 2: And I don't care what level of baseball you're at.
- 42:29Speaker 7: Twenty six games, Ron, Okay, if you're playing eight no
- 42:32Speaker 7: accident at TDP.
- 42:34Speaker 5: You win twenty six games in a row, That's that's something.
- 42:37Speaker 7: Just like Anthony said, nothing would shock us. And momentum
- 42:41Speaker 7: is a scary thing for sure. Twenty six games.
- 42:44Speaker 4: All right, well, I mean LS, she's got some momentum too,
- 42:47Speaker 4: after how they won that game against Arkansas and again
- 42:50Speaker 4: five games this year, four and one for the Tigers
- 42:53Speaker 4: against the team that everybody told us was the most
- 42:56Speaker 4: complete team in baseball. We will take our final break
- 42:59Speaker 4: of our number two. We've got Ross Jackson set to
- 43:01Speaker 4: join us at nine fifteen. Talk a little New Orleans
- 43:04Speaker 4: Saints kick off hour three. We'll talk a little LSU football.
- 43:08Speaker 4: We'll do it all right here on o T.

- 44:32Speaker 4: If it would have gone poorly, you would have come
- 44:34Speaker 4: in here playing a little like Simon and Garfunk call.
- 44:38Speaker 2: And was it a first day?
- 44:42Speaker 5: No, it wasn't a first day. We went we want
- 44:46Speaker 5: to well, we went to get Paco Tacos. We didn't
- 44:48Speaker 5: go to like no restaurant a day. Dude, watch the
- 44:52Speaker 5: NBA Finals or what we do? Well, I watched it
- 44:55Speaker 5: when I went home. I kind of had to once
- 44:58Speaker 5: I had to do this, you know, had to go
- 44:59Speaker 5: to sleep a bit early. I mean it was already
- 45:02Speaker 5: it was over after the second quarter, well after halftime,
- 45:04Speaker 5: after what did and all this? I'm like, yeah, this
- 45:07Speaker 5: game over work and you kind of felt like, okay,
- 45:09Speaker 5: see just punted all right, game seven, it's gonna come
- 45:11Speaker 5: back and buy the money, you know what.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know if they put it. I just
- 45:14Speaker 2: think they suck.
- 45:15Speaker 5: They just sucked last night. But it's like, we didn't
- 45:17Speaker 5: see so many teams come back from plenty plus and all.
- 45:20Speaker 4: And they made a run, they made a little bit
- 45:22Speaker 4: of a mini run, but Indiana shut it down.
- 45:24Speaker 7: Let's break down every dribble of that hour three.
- 45:29Speaker 4: Nah uh the lowest rated NBA finals outside of the
- 45:35Speaker 4: COVID year, I think so stupid.
- 45:37Speaker 8: You have so many front runner fans. It's a great
- 45:39Speaker 8: NBA finals, and.
- 45:40Speaker 5: Great it is great finals. I'll give you that.
- 45:42Speaker 8: Two teams they've never won, Like, come on.
- 45:46Speaker 4: I hate the Pacers. I'm a Knicks fan. Hate the Pacers. Oh,
- 45:49Speaker 4: nothing but bad things.
- 45:51Speaker 2: Why what's the video?
- 45:54Speaker 5: Look it up, you'll see it. Reggie Miller, it's a deal.
- 45:58Speaker 5: We'll see you.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Our three off the bench.
- 46:02Speaker 5: And they did it this year too.
- 46:04Speaker 4: Ktoz Blinds dot Com ktz Blinds dot com. Right now
- 46:08Speaker 4: is a great time have Brandon Barton and his team
- 46:10Speaker 4: come out to your space, your home, your business, whatever
- 46:14Speaker 4: your space is to help you with whatever situation you've
- 46:17Speaker 4: got going on. Right, you got too much sun coming
- 46:20Speaker 4: in this part of the house. Well they can come in,
- 46:23Speaker 4: give an outdoor motorized shade. You can need you some
- 46:26Speaker 4: blinds within the home as well. Maybe you all a
