- 0:03Speaker 1: All right, the best question of the week. That's where
- 0:05Speaker 1: you was. Send us a question and we answer it. Yeah,
- 0:09Speaker 1: we got a couple here, pretty easy. Yeah, what do
- 0:14Speaker 1: we go?
- 0:14Speaker 2: Let's start out with this one. Do I say the
- 0:17Speaker 2: name of people for this? Okay? They don't say? This
- 0:20Speaker 2: one from Becky Good morning lords.
- 0:22Speaker 3: My question is if you could sit down and have
- 0:24Speaker 3: a cocktail and shoot the s with one celebrity, who
- 0:27Speaker 3: would it be?
- 0:28Speaker 2: And why? Thank you for entertaining me every morning?
- 0:32Speaker 4: Have any you have any thoughts on that one? Just
- 0:36Speaker 4: just one.
- 0:36Speaker 5: My initial answer is none, You just don't think you
- 0:40Speaker 5: would like to.
- 0:41Speaker 1: I just don't think i'd like to because it's always disappointing.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Well the trick is, and I said this answer off air,
- 0:47Speaker 3: you got to go to somebody that you're like, not
- 0:49Speaker 3: the biggest fan of, but would still be entertaining anyways.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Wendy Williams is mine.
- 0:55Speaker 5: She's barely alive.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Well, she maybe five years ago, Wendy Williams at the
- 1:01Speaker 3: height of her mania.
- 1:02Speaker 2: She's crazy, of course, that's why it would be a
- 1:04Speaker 2: great time.
- 1:05Speaker 3: You're sitting around It implied in this question, is you're
- 1:09Speaker 3: sitting around having a good time shooting the s and
- 1:12Speaker 3: she would be one fun gossip let me tell you.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Okay, here's one that's kind of esoteric. Sure, I'd like
- 1:19Speaker 4: to sit and have drinks with Thomas Pinchon. Thomas Pinson
- 1:24Speaker 4: is now eighty three years old. He's written several novels.
- 1:27Speaker 4: The latest and his latest foray is the movie What's
- 1:32Speaker 4: it Called? One Battle after Another? Based on a Thomas
- 1:35Speaker 4: Pinson novel, Oh gotcha? Violand? Yeah, based on Violand. But
- 1:39Speaker 4: I'd like to sit and talk to him because there
- 1:42Speaker 4: are no interviews with him. Really, he is eighty three
- 1:45Speaker 4: years old. There really are none. There are only pictures
- 1:50Speaker 4: of him when he was in college. He never talks
- 1:55Speaker 4: to anybody in the media ever.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Fascinating.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Yeah, I'd like to talk to him before where he passes.
- 2:00Speaker 2: You would go for a cerebral answer.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I could maybe sit and talk with Seth McFarland about
- 2:07Speaker 1: Star Trek for an hour.
- 2:08Speaker 2: But that'd be fun. Yeah, he'd be a fun hang.
- 2:10Speaker 5: Yeah, that'd be about it.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Yeah, Okay, well, there you go. That's a good enough question.
- 2:15Speaker 3: There.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Next one, what book, movie and or I'm.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Gonna alternate that, What book, movie, and or album do
- 2:22Speaker 3: you wish you could erase from your memory and re
- 2:24Speaker 3: experience for the first time. Thanks for letting me listen, Kim,
- 2:28Speaker 3: Do you want to answer all those or just pick
- 2:29Speaker 3: one of art media?
- 2:34Speaker 4: I don't know the probably the first album I'm trying
- 2:38Speaker 4: to think of. An I remember the first time I
- 2:41Speaker 4: heard the Rolling Stones album Aftermath.
- 2:46Speaker 2: What songs are on that one? Oh?
- 2:48Speaker 4: I think under my Thumb and uh, I don't know,
- 2:52Speaker 4: I have to look.
- 2:53Speaker 5: Why don't you look for me? Yeah?
- 2:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, there's a little helper.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Yeah, and it was not there.
- 2:58Speaker 2: It was.
- 2:59Speaker 4: They done several albums and I'd like the Rolling Stones,
- 3:02Speaker 4: but this one kind of it went. I just remember
- 3:06Speaker 4: being blown away by it. Was they had stepped up
- 3:10Speaker 4: their game somehow. Yeah, And I'd just remember being blown
- 3:13Speaker 4: away by that. I'd like, although, you know, it's kind
- 3:16Speaker 4: of a weird question because when I think about it,
- 3:18Speaker 4: I could go listen to it now and it would
- 3:20Speaker 4: be like, yeah, the first time I ever heard it.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Sure, other songs on that Stupid Girl Lady Jane, under
- 3:27Speaker 3: my Thumb, like you mentioned high and Dry?
- 3:30Speaker 5: Oh yeah, flight five oh five.
- 3:32Speaker 4: That's a really good song. So anyway, so that and
- 3:38Speaker 4: books m the first time I read a Charles Dickens novel.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:45Speaker 5: I tried to.
- 3:47Speaker 4: I was not old enough to read it, and it
- 3:50Speaker 4: was kind of went over you know. It was too
- 3:53Speaker 4: difficult for me to read. But I've gone back and
- 3:55Speaker 4: read them. But I'd like to just have that first.
- 3:57Speaker 4: I remember being intrigued by it, but I even though
- 4:00Speaker 4: I couldn't quite do it, I couldn't quite read.
- 4:02Speaker 3: What about it makes you want to re experience it
- 4:05Speaker 3: for the first time. I just.
- 4:08Speaker 4: I don't know. I just like to know that feeling
- 4:09Speaker 4: again of being challenged by it.
- 4:14Speaker 5: Okay, I guess I got too many albums.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I was just going through my iPad here and
- 4:23Speaker 1: I got too many of them.
- 4:24Speaker 5: I couldn't pick just one. We'll pick a couple.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Uh, Kinks, give the people what they want, Go Boy
- 4:32Speaker 1: and Go dead Man's Party.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 4:35Speaker 5: Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Oh, first time listening to that is an experience.
- 4:40Speaker 5: But books, of course, Here and Loathing in Las Vegas.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, yeah, Oh, I know one huh if I
- 4:48Speaker 4: had enough weed in Agda da Vida, just a song
- 4:51Speaker 4: in a Gota Davida, If I had enough weed.
- 4:55Speaker 5: One.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Interview was conducted by David Kippen using Pinsion's own words
- 5:00Speaker 1: extracted from his published novels yea a Pinchin esque encounter
- 5:05Speaker 1: that uses the author's own words to create a Q
- 5:08Speaker 1: and A.
- 5:08Speaker 5: But that's it. That's it.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, same thing as carry.
- 5:14Speaker 3: If there were a couple albums I would probably pick
- 5:18Speaker 3: from that pool. It includes the Black Keys Brothers. That
- 5:25Speaker 3: album is phenomenal. It's not one of their more popular ones.
- 5:29Speaker 3: But I'm talking about bands I alluded to at the
- 5:31Speaker 3: beginning of the show. Arcade Fire's Reflector is really really good.
- 5:36Speaker 3: That one's was produced by LCD sound Systems James Murphy.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Off the top of my head.
- 5:41Speaker 3: With movies Cecario, I remember watching that for the first
- 5:45Speaker 3: time and just being absolutely blown away. I guess I'm
- 5:48Speaker 3: on a Benicccio del Toro kick right now, with one
- 5:51Speaker 3: battle after another and.
- 5:52Speaker 2: It's bending the rules.
- 5:54Speaker 3: But there is actually a video game I wish I
- 5:57Speaker 3: could play again for the first time, and if I
- 5:59Speaker 3: would do so, I would do it over and over
- 6:01Speaker 3: and over again. And that's red dead redemption to Yeah,
- 6:04Speaker 3: like the second one, Okay, yeah, I think that story
- 6:08Speaker 3: was stronger than the first one, and I didn't think
- 6:09Speaker 3: you could beat the first one. Yeah, but that's a
- 6:12Speaker 3: story I wish every single person could experience, But sadly
- 6:15Speaker 3: it's gated behind video game knowledge. But man, red Dead,
- 6:19Speaker 3: redemption too, I like wept at the end of that story.
- 6:23Speaker 2: That one got me hard.
- 6:24Speaker 5: There you go, all right, thank you, good enough.
